《The Earth after the Reset.》


 Prologue- The Discovery

    We are now standing in front of the newly discovered cave


    ¡°Hey, let¡¯s go and enter this cave.¡± a young girl said it very energetically while my hands toward the entrance of the cave.

A short sword is hanging in the waist of Christine, she is wearing a black tunic and black leather trouser with green colored boots that reach halfway to her knees, she also wears a breastplate for protection.


    She is around 160 cm which is quite small compared to me who 170 cm, and her hair is always tied in a bun to avoid blocking her view when she¡¯s fighting in close quarter combat. Among us, she is a most beautiful girl who attracts the gaze of all men in the village or the guys in the town and villages.


    ¡°See! There¡¯s no problem in the cave, it¡¯s very safe, we haven¡¯t encountered any monster or any beast at all.¡± (Christine)

    Even this place is buried underground for millions of years, compared to hear things in the academy, seeing the actual places makes me excited since it¡¯s my favorite subject because I want to become a Historian.


    I might not be good fighting with weapons, but I can still boast I can fight tons of book and understand it enough and rival scholars.


    During my academic years, I was eight years old that time.


    That¡¯s when I first learned that there is a human civilization existed before us and made technologies that can easily surpass our technology, but the saddest part of it, Those discovered technology is not something we can replicate.


    So I made my mind that time.


    I will become a scholar and discover the way how to replicate that technology.

    I also manage to get back to reality and started walking closer to the door.

    I was shocked at the sudden remark of Christine beside me; I didn¡¯t notice her that she¡¯s already recovered from her slump.

    I said my humble opinion to her since we¡¯ve tried everything just to open the door.


    I turned around to start walking back, but I became dizzy and supported myself by putting my hand on the wall.


    A light suddenly appeared on the wall; our eyes shifted to where the light is coming,

    Then we heard a voice of a man saying something in a language we don¡¯t know. We become wary of our surrounding and holding our weapons prepared to attack the things that might appear.


    Cold-bead of sweats started to form in my head.


    Then floor suddenly shakes very hard that we almost fell, but we manage to stand our ground.


    During the sudden quake, the sounds of metal hitting each other reverberate around us.


    The locked door slowly opened by itself.


    We instinctively covered our eyes to protect it from the dazzling light coming from the gaps in the doors.


    The door is now wide open.


    Our eyes widened because of the things we saw inside are still intact.


    Many box things show moving pictures in black and green colored, or images of the forest, seas, mountains and other landscapes that we haven¡¯t seen before.

    A voice admiration escaped my mouth. We started walking in a different direction to search the area for valuable items.

 Chapter 1- The Earths end and the Survivor

    In 2016, The NASA GISS contacted the government because of an alarming news.


    They discovered that the Earth¡¯s Temperature is constantly rising, and they created a projection of temperature rise every year.


    If the increase in temperature will be constant, in the year 3050 the earth¡¯s temperature would be reaching the level that no human or any living species can survive.


    The possibility of the Earth will become a complete wasteland when the temperature reaches the boiling point, and the ground will become dry, trees will wither due to lack of water contents, food will become scarce.


    There is also possibility that the water will swallow the land surface when all of the ice in the Arctic region melt


    But the news was hidden to the public.


    The world united in 2021 to find a way to control the temperature, but it is now impossible to reduce the number of consumed fossil fuels or to raise trees to control the excessive greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere which trapping the heat in the earth.


    The only way for the humanity to survive is to leave the planet and find another habitable planet, but the problem is that we still don¡¯t have the technology to create such feat.


    Thousand of different scientist from all nation band together to study and find a way.


    It might be the time we have left is not enough for us to find a way.


    But after 200 years of despair unable to find a way to solve a problem to create a ship that can withstand the damage of colliding asteroid or other hard substance in space but a miracle occurred within this year.


    A significant amount of giant asteroid started orbiting the Earth without being pulled by the gravity and inside those are is metal so strong that it can withstand the harsh space.


    The discovery of such metal, and by studying its molecular structure took the world 100 years before the replication is possible, and within the same year, the construction began.


    100 Colonization ship was made, each ship can hold 1 million people.


    The ship exterior is the layers of a layer of the new metal, and by the use of five nuclear reactors as it¡¯s primary power source, and a large solar panel utilized as an alternative source of energy.


    The year 2672 the colonization ships left the earth.

    If this succeeded, we can put the people to sleep forever and even if they die, they won''t feel a single thing.


    They sought refuge here after our broadcast four years ago.

 Chapter 2 – Cyber Unit

    Since there is still more time before the testing of the new Cold-Sleep Machine, I went to the Command Center to observe and hear the report regarding the scavengers


    Aside from being a scientist, I¡¯m also the leader of this surviving group.


    ¡°Professor Jean, four cyber unit reached other facility and started scavenging the Miracle Metal.¡± (Command Center Operator leader)

    Today it is being used as guards of this facility or scavenger to find materials need for our survival and experiments that we are conducting.

    ¡°Hmmm, Unit 2 is currently under heavy gun fight with surviving humans. Unit 4 to Unit 7 is still currently scavenging and loading the metals in trucks. We lost contact with Unit 10 when they entered the facility. Lastly, The Rest of the units are currently on the way to their respective mission location or heading back here with the materials or with other survivors.¡±


    The CC Operator leader reported the current situation of the scavenger, I gave her the task to lead a group of people to monitor the action of the Cyber Units.


    The materials that will be brought here will be used to create new satellites.


    I already have the blueprint for the new satellite, but the development of it is delayed because of the lack materials, and thus we made a decision four years ago is to send the Cyber Units to scavenge materials or food since 5000 robots are resting here alone.


    Since most of the satellites are still intact in the space, but it will soon fall back to earth, and to monitor the situation on Earth, we need a new type of satellite, a satellite that will never fall back to earth, and the Miracle Metal is the right materials. Certain properties in the metal defy the rules of physics, and it can negate the gravitational pull of Earth.


    Right now there are more that 20,000 robots and increasing in the hangar, and I¡¯ve deployed half of them to continue to scavenge things for us and change its program to use all kinds of primitive weaponry to modern weapons.

    I learned about the experiment conducted in Area 51 when during the conference about the development of other things needed to ensure the survival of humans in space.

    When the clock turns zero, catastrophe will happen in all kinds of natural disaster. Such as Multiple volcanic eruptions, Storms that have the capacity to destroy buildings, earthquakes that will split the ground into two and create a tsunami as tall as the world''s tallest structure and the chances that it will occur at the same time is high.

    A young boy with a husky voice informed me via radio that we could test my idea that I thought last night.

    The map indicates 51 locations including this one, whereas it is currently being used as a bunker and research facility for the most dangerous experiment in the world.


    How did I learn all about this, because of my forefather the first researcher and scientist in our lineage, he¡¯s a Geologist and studying the reported weird earth formation inside a cave in the middle of the Amazon forest. There he stumbled upon this place by pure coincidence when the wall of soil crumbled after he took out a loss rock.


    Everything is written in a book that he wrote, and it¡¯s an heirloom of our family and the pride.


    While admiring about this place, I reach my destination


    I quickly wear my lab coat and enter the Cold-Machine Testing Area.

    Several tens of minutes passed


    ¡°Temperature is down to 10¡ã Celsius and still slowly dropping.¡±


    Watching the actual operation makes my heart beat faster, makes me feel anxious for the success and safety of the subject.

    The survivor continuously runs without looking back, when he got outside of the cave, the red-eyed people stop following him.


    After his report, the Exploration Guild send a group of 150 ranked 3 explorers to the cave.


    15 red-eyed human intercepted them, and they fought until the bitter end, it was revealed they are not average human because their whole body is made of metal. Only 5 explorers survived the battle


    The story of the Red-eyes people catches the king attention, and he sends 1000 soldier to destroy them to see the things that the red-eyed humans are guarding. The battle between the soldiers and Red-Eyes was totally one-sided. The kingdom soldiers got easily killed, they tore the armors and shields barehanded. It was a massacre. The 2 soldiers survived by hiding under the bodies of their dead comrade. When the battle ended, They escaped and report to their king what happened inside the cave.


    The Exploration Guild announced that the monsters name is Automata. A human made of metal.

    I don¡¯t understand what is going on, and now the automata are carrying me


    Before I closed my eyes, the dragon opens its mouth and ready to swallow me.


    BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!


    About 30 automata are assaulting the dragon with a weapon that can cause an explosion similar to blast magic, but it¡¯s ineffective.


    It is gently carrying like a husband and wife after their wedding.


    ¡°Rika. Melisha I¡¯m sorry, but I think it¡¯s not my time to die.¡±


    I remember it again, the death of my friends.


    While the battle is unfolding near me. I don¡¯t care and walked toward to that place, and even if they are charcoal, I want to give a proper burial.


    My clothes are tattered, my body is full of cuts because of the crystal wolf.

    When I turn my head to see the fight between them and the dragon, my face turned pale when I saw the once proud dragon that hailed undefeated by the human race. Is now missing one of its wings, lost the arms, the hard scales that even with magic is having a hard time to pierce it is now full of whole and some part of the have burned mark on it, and the blood of the dragon is littered everywhere.


    It¡¯s not a one-sided battle because I can see some automata lying down and not move.


    It was the right choice that we didn¡¯t fight them earlier because the automata continued fighting without head or having few missing limbs, Truly terrifying their battle capabilities is on different league compare to what I witness beforehand.


    They are truly a monster. I think. Even the world don¡¯t have the chance against these monsters.


    I shifted my sight toward to my friends and checked if they are alive.


    Yes, they are alive and unconscious for a moment. A new group automata arrive, they are wearing different clothes compare to the one fighting the dragon. They wore a pure with clothes that I never saw before.


    The white group began checking the condition of Rika and Melisha. They started by touching wrist or neck as if they are searching for something.

    I couldn¡¯t understand what she said, but I think she means they are fine.


    Since it¡¯s very hard always to call them automata since all of the similar except for their clothes, so I called the one fighting the dragon ¡°Gray¡± and the one checking my friend ¡°White.¡±


    One of the white¡¯s started expecting my wounds. Then he took out a bottle and small fluffy thing.


    Is that cotton?


    Yup, it¡¯s cotton. He slightly soaks the cotton in the liquid that smells like alcohol.


    ¡°!!!!, IT HURTS!!!!!!¡±


    Yup, he smeared the cotton on my wound, and I realized that he is treating my injury.


    While I endured the painful treatment. I began watching the final stage of the battle.


    The dragon growl seems weaker compare when we first heard it.


    Unbelievable the gray manages to push the dragon to the corner.


    The mouth of the dragon began glowing, showing the signs of a fire breath.


    One of the gray to a long metal tube, after a second the head part of tube flew toward the dragon, and it created a big explosion, the last wing fell, and it growls out of pain and fell, but the gray showed no mercy and continued assaulting the dying dragon


    Then I noticed that my arms and legs have bondage, then the white started tearing my clothes.


    Instinctively I jumped away from the white to protect myself, but two more whites approached me and held me down.


    After the hard treatment of my wound in my body

    I feel like they defiled me even though knowing their action is to treat my wound, I could stop myself from feeling that because they have the appearance of a man.


    There is nothing more I can do about it, they treated our wound for free, so I don¡¯t have the rights to complain.

    I heard it again, a monotonous voice of a woman. But. I really couldn¡¯t understand her, maybe if it¡¯s Melisha she could understand it since she specializes in the language of ancient civilization.

    All I can do is hope she can understand my words. One of the grays is slowly approaching me while holding something.

    One of the white again pulled something out of nowhere, it¡¯s a chair, and he gave it to me.


    ¡®I¡¯m losing my common sense here but trying to understand reason for their action is impossible.¡¯ I said in my mind while looking at two girls who¡¯s sleeping soundly.


    ¡°what the hell is going on now!?¡± I shouted when I heard another weird sound that is coming toward us.


    There are several big carriages within sight, but I don¡¯t see any horse pulling it.


    The carriages arrive after faster than I anticipated.


    First, the grays that look like the soldiers second the whites are the healers and now blue colored automata.


    As I watch a scene that is unfolding in front me, I unconsciously stared at the scene with wide eyes and my mouth is making O shape, because they the large carriage arrive with some of the lift.


    I don¡¯t know how long did they it, but now the body of the dragon is tightly bound by large chains and being raised.


    When the dragon is slightly lifted. The Blues move to place a large metal board with wheels and put the dragon on that platform.


    They attached several big chains in the big carriages.


    And the smaller one arrived, the more whites arrive, but they started moving the bed. When they are near the edge back white wagon, they gently lift the bed not to wake up my sleeping friends and put it inside.


    The White made a gesture as if he is calling me to come over and pointed inside the carriage.

    I shrugged my shoulder and enter the carriage.

    What she faces is making a weird expression while try to recall what happen before she passed out.


    ¡°I see, to tell you the truth. we are still inside the cave, but these place might be the breeding ground of the automatas, the dragon is already dead, and we are safe for now.¡±


    I reassured her before telling her everything that happens while she¡¯s unconscious. From the moment the dragon appeared, to this point that we are riding a weird carriage. After hearing my story, Melisha faces turned purple like she will faint any moment again.


    ¡°you are saying that the automatas are not hostile anyone, it only attacks the potential threat to their life?¡± (Rika)


    Rika asked a question while lying on the bed, when she tried to sit, the white near her stopped her made a gesture telling her to lie in bed.


    ¡°There is no point in thinking too much about our situation. We should at least be thankful since we are still alive by the way Melisha you studied the ancient language, right?¡±


    ¡°Yeah, just a little bit since both of my parents are studying the ancient language.¡±

    Two Whites are pushing the bed of my friends toward the interior of the building.


    I¡¯m walking slightly behind Mr. White when we entered the building.


    My cheeks started twitching while making a small smile because, because inside the build. I saw more Mr. White and several Mr. Grey roaming around.


    The Mr. White I¡¯m currently following is just a few steps away from from two others who¡¯s pushing the bed until and enter the room.


    They lined the bed side-by-side and left the room.


    I watch the two who¡¯s sleeping carefree with a smile on my face.

 Chapter 6 – another boring day for us.

    We don¡¯t know how long we have been here.


    The Whites forbid us from going outside the White Building because of our injury, and we are given water and food that so tasty that I feel like I just want to live here, clothing that is very soft and elastic, and very refreshing to wear.


    Regarding the clothes, pink colored automata, entered the room the day after we arrive here holding plenty of dress for us, but we refused it especially me since a dress is not something we can easily wear in battles.


    It didn¡¯t last long after another set of Mr. Pink entered with a lot of variety of clothing; they just left the clothes on the table and telling us to choose freely.


    All of the clothes is made of unknown fabric to us, but we didn¡¯t think about it too much, since these are probably made by an ancient civilization, and their technology is far superior from us.


    Right now, I¡¯m wearing an ankle length boots, and color gray pants, for my upper body. A red tube like clothes and to cover my exposed shoulder I wore a jacket, and for my hair, it is neatly tied in one side of the head. For protection, my arm guard, and leg guards is available, because my breastplate was mistaken as a scrap by the Mr. Gray and threw it along the rest of debris from the battle with the dragon.


    For Rika, she chooses a very short pants as per which according to Melisha is called hot pants, knee length socks, and dark colored sandals., for the upper body, it¡¯s a sleeveless clothing which is called camisole that shows her bounty full breast and shoulder. She also added a top layered long coat that reaches her knee, and she left unbuttoned. For the protection, she doesn¡¯t have any because, during their treatment, they are strip nude by the Whites and all of their clothes and equipment is thrown away.


    Lastly Melisha, She is wearing a blue one piece short dress with lots of frills, and it exposes her back which covered by a shoal, and boots that reaching halfway to her knees. She didn¡¯t tie her green shoulder length hair and let it flow in the wind, for her protection she doesn''t have any since she didn¡¯t like wearing it because she keeps on saying it doesn''t suit her taste.


    ¡°then what should we do now?¡± Rika asked me sitting on the bed and drinking tea.


    ¡°Honestly I don¡¯t know, we¡¯ve spent considerable amount time here, and I know our parents must be worried a lot, and the Whites still don¡¯t show any sign that they will let us go.¡±


    ¡°I guess so, then why don¡¯t we sneak out?¡±


    I answered Rika¡¯s question, and Melisha gave her opinion.


    ¡°That¡¯s a good idea! But how can we do it? This room doesn¡¯t have any windows, and there is two Mr. Gray outside.¡±


    Rika is right; even we manage to elude the two Mr. Gray outside, once they alerted the others. They will quickly catch up with us.


    We manage to live against the dragon, but they might kill us sooner or later.

    I see, if she can know how to speak the ancient language, we might able to get back to the surface, but the problem is that they haven¡¯t talked to us since we arrive here, they just keep gesturing which is sometimes hard to tell the meaning.

    She fell to her knees while holding her arm where the arrow penetrated from her back, it was then when the monster was about to kill the mother, I took the heavy sword and swing it wildly.


    I only manage to stop the attack them for a while, but it didn¡¯t last long, the monster attacked me, because of the difference in our strength, when our sword clashed. The sword that I¡¯m holding flew away and the monster swings its sword aiming for the head.


    Out of fear when the sword flew, I become dizzy and fell down on my butt. The fall actually saves my life because the sword missed and it didn¡¯t cut my head off, but it made a wound on my neck that can be fatal.


    I thought I was going to die back then before I lost my consciousness. I saw father killing the monsters out of rage.


    After few days I found out that, I¡¯m lucky enough because one of the new guards can use [Lesser heal], and he quickly healed me, but he couldn¡¯t remove the scar.


    Every day since I woke up, I kept on begging mother to let me join the sword training, but she kept on refusing and telling me I¡¯m still very young.


    It took me a half a season before I manage to convince the mother to train me because I refuse to anything at home and keeps on sulking at the corner of our room. So I can also protect our family. My mother consulted father about it.


    Before the start of the harvest season and my father approached me and gave me a wooden sword. IT made me euphoric because finally, they allowed me to join the training.

    I suddenly woke up when someone forcefully trying to open door of the command center.


    The backup system don¡¯t have the ability to judge the threat around us, and the only function it has is to monitor and record every change within the facility or gather data the satellites acquiring every day, and to maintain the flow of energy within the facility.


    In front of the doors, 3 armed girls are wearing weird clothes. I searched my database to find out what kind of clothing they are wearing.


    It only took me a second to search it. They are wearing clothes similar to clothes in the dark ages.


    ¡°Two of them are regular human being, but the other is one is different.¡±


    In this black space with green line is my home. I maybe an Artificial Intelligent but I contain consciousness and emotion like normal being because I¡¯m also a human.


    The different one is the girl that has green hair because her facial feature indicates she is human, but her ears quite long and pointy and she create a fireball out of thin air.


    I search my database again if I have any record regarding such action.


    The data shows that kind of action should only exist in book or movies but one of the data I have to happen during the experimentation of CSM machine, an incident occurred in the Subject # 0078.


    ¡°It seems that some kind of power awakens in #78 but how does the green haired girl able to the same action.¡±


    I better observe them more gather data as much as I can.


    Using scan, I managed to get their full appearance and stored it in my database.


    There is one more problem, their language is very different and doesn¡¯t match any installed language in the system.


    I launched the language tool called [Cypher]. It will automatically record the spoken words and tried to decipher it by translating every letter to the install language, mixing and matching to create the reasonable and plausible meaning of the phrase.


    The girls are trying to open the door, to ascertain their intention, I opened the door for them for one reason, to know if they¡¯re thief or not.


    They continued walking until they reach the control room and I also opened it for them.


    When they entered the room, their eyes shone and started touching the panels, but there is no sign of them being a thief,


    The Threat Meter also shows these girls are code green mean they are no threat to us, but I don¡¯t trust them.


    I activated the Code Red to enable the hibernating cyber units inside the control room When the girls saw the cyber unit. Their face made an ambiguous expression and ran away as fast as they can.


    Since the hangar cameras are not working, I command the cyber units to follow them.


    What I saw something that is not recorded in my database. A big wolf and using the scanning function of the cyber unit. The wolf¡¯s fur is made of unidentified crystal.


    I replaced the ¡°Chase¡± command to standby mode and see their fighting capabilities.


    Their fighting abilities match the record of using of blades or bow¡¯s and arrow, but the green hair girls are using her ability to create supernatural phenomena to kill the wolves.


    The battles lasted for an hour when the seismograph started detecting a 3.6 magnitude earthquake, but the weird part of it is that the epicenter is moving toward the girls.


    A giant lizard appeared in the large hole in the hangar area.


    ¡° A dragon, a monster shouldn¡¯t exist in reality is now standing in front of the girls, and if the depiction of the dragons in the myths and legends is true, they will die at this rate, but I won¡¯t let that happen because they are my precious subjects.¡±


    I Input the command Protect the Humans, Eliminate the dragon and retrieve the corpse for future reference.

    The fight with the dragon took 30 minutes before they manage to take it down but It resulted to 10 Cyber Soldier got destroyed and the damage in hangar area is quite massive.

    The [Cypher] tool failed to translate their language because there are tons of words recorded, but there is still no reasonable meaning generated.

    The two seems fallen asleep. Melisha is using my lap as a pillow, and Chris'' head is on my shoulder.
