《The Strongest Slime》
Slimes Origin
I am or at least I was born Oshini Daiten I go by a different name now as my old one carried nothing but bad memories for me. But before I started going by a different name I was commonly referred to as Dai.
I first got that nickname after one of my classmates was angered with the small amount of money he was able to extort from me, he then shouted ¡°Daiten¡¯s so useless, if you can¡¯t even be a wallet then you don¡¯t even deserve a full name. Dai should just die¡±.
It became a phrase that would haunt me for many years. The worst part was that they were probably right I was pretty useless back then. I am not one of those people that try to make myself out as a victim I knew I was useless and that I didn¡¯t have much worth.
I was a below average student barely getting passing scores, I lacked any form of social skills, I didn¡¯t have a family with widespread connections heck I didn¡¯t even have a family; I was abandoned at birth. I guess back then even my parents could see the uselessness in my infant form.
My only redeeming feature would be that I wasn¡¯t horribly disfigured and that my face didn¡¯t cause others to vomit upon seeing me. But my worst trait, the thing that made me really know that I was below any other human being was the fact that I lacked a special ability.
That¡¯s right, in a world filled with ability users I was a rare sample of ineptitude, even the weakest F rank ability users could make a sheet of paper float or heat a cup of water by a few degrees, but not me, it was confirmed yet again that I was useless.
Or at least it seemed that way you see the truly useless ones were the quack job doctors and scientist that tested me for an ability. After hearing that I had no ability my mind, which was simply too delicate at the time, could not bear the mental strain any longer.
Having an ability was my last ray of hope, the single strand of string remaining that could have pulled me out of the abyss of uselessness.
Anyways, 2 months of wallowing in self pity, 3 weeks of talking to myself and a few suicide attempts later I finally managed to recollect the shards of my broken psyche and work towards a new goal, finding a different way out of uselessness.
As I contemplated ways to overcome my lack of abilities it finally hit me, just work harder. I know that it seems kind of obvious but the thought had never crossed my mind. I had previously believed that applying more effort as a useless human would just be a waste of energy but now I had nothing to lose.
I began to take on jobs that would have normally required the use of a special ability. F-rank job cleaning debris from a demolition site, while others would have needed only a day to complete this job with a D-rank telekinetic ability I spent a whole week moving the debris of an abandoned house with my body.
As soon as I completed the job and received the envelope with my pay my hands started shaking, this was the first time I had experienced the joy of effort resulting in positive results, the emotions were so intense that it would become the sole focus of my life. That same day I dropped out of school at the age of fourteen and dedicated every waking hour of my existence to taking on jobs.
Week after week I would take on request after request only taking the minimum amount of time to eat and sleep. Eventually I reached the point in which it only took me a day to complete F-rank debris clearing jobs.
Two years past and I found myself taking on B-rank jobs clearing debris; I was now clearing the debris from a collapsed bridge. At that point I finally stopped long enough to accidentally look at myself through the river below; I almost couldn¡¯t recognize the reflection in the water.
In two years I had grown a whole foot, gained at least two hundred pounds in muscle and my hair had turned completely white as though father time had run his hand across my scalp.
The only way I had recognized that I was starring at myself and not at a complete stranger was from the scars that reminded me of my weakness.
This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.
When my mind snapped after discovering my lack of an ability I had succumbed to the temptations of suicide multiple times.
There was one large scar above my eyebrow from when I had stolen a gun and had shot myself in the head, and there was a long scar that ran from one side of my neck to the other from the time I had tried to decapitate myself with a kitchen knife.
After composing myself from the shock of my new appearance I decided to use the connections I had built throughout the years clearing debris to schedule a much more thorough testing.
The scientist I had used my connections to hire analyzed my abnormal growth and development and found out that although it was incredibly weak and was most likely an F-rank I had an ability.
My ability was a form of Hyperion Constitution. Normally Hyperion Constitution was a B-ranked ability but mine had some interesting side effects.
Although all of my muscles were capable of developing past the normal human limit, all of the muscles in my body, which includes my brain, required 300% more stimulation than the average human being to develop.
Upon hearing those words from the scientist I felt a sensation that I had only felt once before, extreme and utter joy. To me there was no real downside to my ability, all it meant was that I had to put in 300% more effort and I was already doing that.
After discovering the nature of my ability I changed my focus from completing jobs to solely training my body as well as mind. Eventually I graduated with a Master''s degree in Ability Neutralization and became the second SSS-Rank ability user in Japan, now here I am on my way for a debriefing.
As I got on a train heading towards the designated location I couldn¡¯t help but wonder how things got to this point. I am one of the seven Deadly Sins, one of the strongest ability users on the planet and yet here I am sneaking around like a rat in a lion¡¯s den.
I remember a time when ability users S rank and above could proudly walk the streets confident in their strength and be debriefed in broad daylight.
Sadly those times are gone; things have been getting weird ever since Glutton¡¯s death. Glutton was arguably the strongest ability user, in fact he would probably be the strongest ability user hands down, that is if I didn¡¯t exist.
So for him to have died from a stab wound from a little girl was very strange even if she was using a B-rank element infused knife. Glutton¡¯s strength was something that even I recognized, he was the one who tested me when I first became one of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Even after becoming the sin of Pride I was able to acknowledge that an all out battle between me and him would have uncertain results.
It¡¯s not just Glutton¡¯s death that has the world in shock: SS rank ability users Loginovsky Vladimir aka Arctic hammer and Abarnikova Svetlana aka Sweet Death, SSS rank ability user and fellow Deadly Sin Sheng Yaolin aka Sloth, SSS rank ability user and another fellow Deadly Sin Chloe Thornhill aka Lust, all the top ability users around the world began dying after Glutton¡¯s death. And all of them died seemingly impossible deaths.
*sigh* I stared out the train¡¯s window as I remembered all the good times I shared with Glutton ( I remember the first time we met he ate the SS rank Thunder bird I killed and he didn¡¯t even let me gather the feathers I was sent to collect) ( there was also the time he got a taste of his own medicine when a Gaia Tortoise swallowed him and I had to shatter the shell so that he wouldn''t have to get pooped out).
My reminiscing was interrupted by the train¡¯s sudden stop. Most people in my situation would be worried about the train coming to a complete halt considering that we were still an hour away from the next station especially considering the deaths of all the high rank ability users lately.
But I wasn''t worried because there was one thing that separated me from them making it impossible for me to meet their same fate, the simple fact that I am better.
Chapter 1: Day 1
I died, or maybe I am still dying seeing as that I am currently surrounded by nothingness. Anyways I still stand by my earlier declaration of superiority. Out of all the Seven Deadly Sins my death was incomparable to the others.
Glutton was stabbed to death by a frail little girl after coming home from a party, Sloth was killed by his pet panda while taking a shit, while Lust and her workout partner were unfortunately shot to death during some intense exercising in a public restroom.
My death belongs in a completely different category than all the others, not only was I outnumbered I also had a huge handicap of having to protect a little girl.
As soon as the train had come to a halt all of the passengers had begun to emit a dark aura and began attacking me. Retaliation was not a real option seeing as how a large majority of my attackers were simply innocent civilians who were under the effects of a mind control or hypnosis ability ,not to mention that it would be beneath me to injure such powerless beings.
This was not my first time encountering an ability such as this however this was my first time seeing an ability of this magnitude. The most powerful manipulation ability user was Sweet Death and she had to kiss people to put them under her control, and she could only control up to 20 individuals at a time.
Whoever was using this ability either had a simple activator such as touch or had no activator at all. They must also be far more powerful than Sweet Death as there are probably more than a hundred passengers who are visibly under the effects of the ability.
Seeing as this battle was not going to be in my favor and that I would have nothing to gain I punched a hole through the roof of the train and was just about to leave when I heard a scream.
It only took me a half a second to pinpoint the front cart as the origin of the scream. I was in the last train cart so it took me a little longer to reach the front of the train but 3 seconds isn''t too shabby considering the fact that I ran 400 feet while avoiding hundreds of possessed passengers.
I rammed my shoulder into the cart door just in time to see a little girl lying on the floor as the mass of passengers began to crowd around her. I picked her off the floor using one arm and secured her onto my back while avoiding the random attacks that came from all directions.
The attacks rained down from multiple angles, continuously aiming for the little girl. If my ability was a normal body enhancement type then I would have not lasted as long as I did.
Most body enhancement type abilities only improved one aspect of the body such as speed, strength, muscle mass, etc. But while my ability only improved my physical abilities up to A-Rank it improved the capabilities of my whole body. My reflexes, speed, strength, and eyesight were all boosted to A-Rank.
I also had another ability that stemmed from my original. As my brain developed well past the limits of an ordinary human it began to process data at an incredible pace.
Normal people are capable of predicting simple events such as an ice cube melting if it is placed in a cup of hot water. My brain is capable of analyzing thousands of different variables such as the temperature of the hot water, the density of the ice cube and many others and creating a highly accurate prediction of the future as well as the repercussions of any actions I perform.
Basically it meant that I could see 3 seconds into the future as well as the different scenarios that would occur as a result of my actions. I stopped dodging as I eventually saw a scenario in which I am cornered no matter what I do.
If I rushed through the crowd the girl would be caught in someone¡¯s grasp and be pulled into the crowd and if I slammed into the side of the train I would be able to make a hole and escape but the girl¡¯s internal organs would burst from the G-force.
With no other option left I decided to change the rules of the game. It was clear that I would meet my end here, however, as long as I can keep this girl safe then it will be I who is victorious.
This may seem like a childish act, the loser changing the rules at the last second just so that he can say he won. But I don¡¯t care, as long as I see it as my victory then I didn''t lose.
I laid the girl onto the floor and covered her with my body. Fuck whoever¡¯s using this ability I¡¯ll win one way or another. As I hovered over the girl absorbing all the attacks with my bear body the little girl stared right into my eyes without a trace of fear.
I had not gotten to really take a good look at her considering the way we met but now that I was simply waiting out my impending death I saw that she was a very cute child. Probably 7 or 8 years old she was 3 and a half feet tall, had blonde silky hair and deep blue eyes.
I thought that the little girl might have been a foreigner on vacation, if so then she just had some miserable luck. But then the little girl spoke to me ¡°Onii-chan are you scared¡± wow this girl speaks really good Japanese ¡° of course not, this onii-chan is the strongest so there¡¯s nothing for him to be afraid of¡±.
At that point I wasn''t sure if I was lying for the girl¡¯s sake or mine, it had been an hour now since I first began sheltering her from the onslaught of the passengers. All of them showed increased strength equaling that of a B-rank body enhancement type ability user, and they were all equipped with C-rank alloy knives, this ambush was definitely planned.

I could feel my body breaking apart, each strike ripping apart my flesh another inch wherever they landed exposing the bones beneath my muscles. My vision became blurry as my mind slowly began to lose focus.
Dammit all my effort into training my ability and for what? I finally hit the ceiling for my ability after 5 years, at that point I knew that I couldn''t raise my body to S-rank. My actual ability was only A-rank, it was just the fact that my ability had multiple uses that I was able to reach the SSS-Rank.
If I could have just increased my body to S-Rank, to the point in which only attacks at the subatomic level could injure me then I would be able to save the girl and myself.
What am I talking about, even if I die I won¡¯t admit defeat, I will use anything to claim my victory. I stabbed both my hands through the floor of the train, ensuring that even after I die my body will remain anchored and protect the girl.
Ten more minutes have passed and I can tell that my time is near. I am no longer able to keep my vision focused, I am seeing doubles of everything. As my vision begins to darken I hear the voice of the girl for the last time as she tells me ¡°I¡¯m so sorry¡±.
Anyways that¡¯s how I died and ended up floating in nothingness. Just as I was thinking about how I might be spending the rest of eternity in limbo, because I was never righteous nor overly villainous, I was transported into what looked like a dungeon.
I was shackled to the top of what seemed to be a stone alter. I tried to break out of the shackles through sheer force, pulling and tugging my limbs in every direction, but all I accomplished was a huge headache from the exertion.
My spasmic limb flailing was rudely interrupted by a loud boom and 4 bright pillars of light that had suddenly burst into existence. All of the pillars dimmed and changed into the shape of 4 individuals.
One was a muscular old man with a heavy grey beard who was completely naked except for the bear fur that hung from his shoulders. Another was a bald hefty gentleman with a wide girth that wore nothing but a crown of olive branches and a toga. The third one was a giant of a man fully dressed in medieval battle armor with a double bladed war axe wider than his shoulders.
In contrast to the previous pillars the last one transformed into a beautiful woman, huh? Wait a minute, she looks exactly like the girl on the train except ten or more years older. They then began conversing with each other, since I do not currently know their names I will be referring to them by the names I have deemed appropriate.
Muscle Pervert: what is the meaning of this! I have not given you permission to summon this creature!
Train Girl: but father you have allowed everyone else to summon a champion, why not I?
Little Caesars: hahaha the little one thinks she¡¯s ready to endorse a champion. Hear that brother I do believe she doth fancy herself a patron Goddess hahaha.
Tin Man:......
Muscle Pervert: Enough, I did not condone his summoning but I will take responsibility for the foolishness of my child and reincarnate him.
Train Girl: Oh thank you father I knew you wou-
Muscle Pervert: but only after I purge him and return him to his original state!
Train Girl: Nooo! *Sobs*
The muscle pervert pointed one of his fingers at me and an intense pain worse than what I felt before my death began to pulsate within my body. My body was shrinking losing height and muscle mass by the second. And something else, I-I feel my cognitive abilities slowly diminishing.
Steadily my extensive vocabulary began no touch- I mean getting out of reach. I-I no think good no more no more use big words took long time learn. Like before when me in dark place no light. ¡°NOOO! No want to be Dai no more!¡± As I shouted at the top of my longs I could feel the pain begin to dissipate.
Muscle Pervert: Impressive. His soul withstood the purging. Very well he shall be reincarnated as a Slime.
Train Girl: *Sobs* Father please anything but that. Couldn''t you reincarnate him as an Elflike you did to Volcanus''s Champion?
Muscle Pervert: You a minor God would dare demand the same treatment as your brother who has achieved the rank of Great God! Enough of your selfishness! Be glad I did not decide to blast his soul into oblivion.
I was incredibly weak from the previous ordeal but I had just enough strength to tilt my head and see the muscle pervert raise his finger at me for a second time, oh no not again. My vision went black yet again but this time there was no pain although I did feel my body change shape, almost as if it was melting. I would have kept analyzing the events that had occurred and wondered about my current situation but fatigue finally overwhelmed me and allowed me to sleep.

Chapter 2: Day 1 continued
*Yawn* I was pulled out of my wonderful dream involving a well endowed lifeguard and my pretend drowning when I felt something step on me. It didn''t step on my foot or my hand, no those things were nowhere in sight. It had stepped on me entirely because I am currently a puddle of light green liquid.
I get it now I must have gotten hammered at Glutton¡¯s place again, that guy sure loves to drink. This entire thing must be my sub conscience¡¯s way of telling me to lay off the booze.
I must have dreamed everything from Glutton¡¯s death to the train ride, oh well might as well enjoy a lucid dream like this. I say enjoy, but what can you do as a puddle? Just then I saw the creature that had been stepping on me just a few moments prior.
¡®Hey you come here punk, think you can step on puddles without apologizing?! I guess your mother never taught you any better huh!¡¯ At least that¡¯s what I wanted to say but the only sound I could produce was something similar to a bubbling sound.
It might not have understood my words but I guess my bubbling was enough to attract it as it began to approach me. I didn¡¯t notice it when it was a distance away but after it stepped right in front of me I noticed the bugs towering size.
The bug looked exactly like a Praying Mantis except it was brown; it also had the word ¡®Mantis¡¯ and the number ¡®5¡¯ floating above its head in red. Just as I was analyzing the mantis it swiped its blade downward.
I could easily see the attack but my body was so slow that I only moved after getting hit. After getting hit a few more times I became more accustomed to moving this new body and could now move more nimbly, well, as nimble as a puddle can be.
I was also now capable of raising the center of the puddle and stretching out to create something similar to a head. Of course there were no fine details such as a face but the outstretched portion of my puddle could be used as a weapon and that is exactly what I planned on doing.
The first attack I landed was a counter smack. I dodged the Mantis¡¯s scythe by leaning to the right, just as the scythe passed by I slammed my newly acquired head into the Mantis¡¯s side. I don¡¯t know if I was able to inflict any damage but the impact was enough to push the Mantis a short distance.
This battle was like no other, the fierceness displayed by me and my opponent was of epic proportions. With fire in our eyes we traded blow after blow and through each strike it was as though we gained an understanding of each other, as warriors we were conversing through our fist instead of words.
As I landed the final strike that put the Mantis to the ground I felt a mixture of emotions. I was somewhat saddened by the fact that such an amazing battle had come to an end, but I was also deeply grateful to the Mantis. I bowed, or at least tried my best to bow as a puddle, and thanked the Mantis for the spectacular battle ¡° blub blub blub blub¡±(you were a mighty opponent).
As much as I enjoyed the battle it was not just for sheer entertainment, I had come to understand that this was no dream, because if it were a dream I wouldn¡¯t have felt pain. There were also blue transparent screens floating in front of my face
| New skills have been learned:Minor Shape shift, Warriors spirit, Taunt |
| Minor shape shift: Allows the user to slightly modify the shape of their body. |
| Warriors spirit: Through your appreciation of battle you have developed the spirit of a warrior. Slightly increases user¡¯s defense and offense. Also allows the user and their opponent to understand each other through battle |
| Taunt: your bubbling is annoying enough to enrage others. When activated can entice others to attack |
Most people would panic if they were to discover that they were in a new world with weird floating screens in front of their face. However, panicking over such trivial things would be beneath me so I did the only thing suitable for a proud and noble man such as myself, I remained calm.
Although I did scream at the top of my lungs ¡°blub blub blub blub!¡±(what¡¯s happening to me!?) while repeatedly slamming my head into the side of a tree, but that was just some light exercise to help myself relax definitely not a form of panicking.
After my quick workout routine I had decided to simply accept the fact that I was now a living puddle in a new world. Although I have come to terms with my current situation I now had another problem to face, those floating screens.
Were these screens real or were they simply a figment of my imagination? I would hate to discover that I was crazy on the first day of my new life.
As I was thinking about those pesky screens a sudden thought ran through my mind, what if these screens were a notification system meant to alert me of changes? If that¡¯s the case¡ ¡®Skills¡¯ as soon as I recited that word in my head another window popped up showing a list of what I believed to be the skills I currently had.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
| Minor God¡¯s meager blessing, Hyperion Constitution, Sense Danger, Slimes Metabolism, Oddmar¡¯s Hexagonal Seal of the 12 Dimensions, Warriors spirit, Minor Shape shift, Taunt |
¡°Blub blub blub!¡±(Hahaha) I knew it I am a genius, who else other than me could have figured out the complicated system of this bizarre world so quickly. Sometimes I still manage to surprise myself with my own brilliance ¡°blub blub blub¡±(Hahaha).
I guess I should check what all these skills do, except for Warriors spirit and Minor Shape Shift I''ve already read about them and Taunt is pretty self explanatory.
| Minor God¡¯s meager blessing: You have been blessed by an almost powerless Goddess. Any food you consume tastes better and provides slightly better nutrition |
| Cursed Hyperion Constitution: A rare body condition that allows for abnormal growth. Although all your stats are capable of developing past the normal limits you will also suffer a 300% penalty to all experience points earned. This ability is currently weakened because it is being suppressed by a powerful seal |
| Sense Danger: You once possessed the ability to predict danger but after being suppressed by a powerful seal the most you can do is vaguely sense danger. |
| Slime¡¯s Metabolism: Slimes become more powerful from digesting food |
| Oddmar¡¯s Hexagonal Seal of the 12 Dimensions:A seal of unimaginable power it is said to have once been used to suppress 12 dimensions that tried to revolt against a powerful God. This seal is currently suppressing your abilities. |
Hmm I wonder¡ ¡®Status¡¯ I once again as soon as I recited this word in my mind a screen popped up in front of me
| Name: Kyogo, level: 1/100
Race: Tiny Slime
Strength: 5 Speed: 5 Stamina: 5 Intelligence: 1200 |
It looks like my mind is the only thing that hasn¡¯t been affected by my transformation. Anyways, my biggest problem right now is probably this seal¡. What the Hell! Isn¡¯t it a little overkill? I mean seriously, a seal used to stop 12 dimensions from revolting?
Oh well, nothing I can do about it now might as well get something to eat.
The Seal seemed to be a long term problem that I would have to deal with eventually but at the moment I was very hungry so that took top priority. After carefully examining my surroundings I could clearly see some berries growing from a bush but I currently lack the dexterous fingers or even a mouth to grab them so they were off the menu.
Pretty much everything thing was out of my reach. Just as I was thinking that I would go to bed hungry I spotted it, why hadn¡¯t I thought of it before? I walked over to the motionless corpse of the once mighty Mantis. I bowed once again ¡°blub blub blub blub¡±(I thank you again mighty warrior).
I did not see any openings for which food should be inserted so I simply crawled over the Mantis¡¯s remains and covered it entirely. The corpse began to dissolve within my body and I could feel my liquid form become denser. The liquid had also begun to change from watery to more of a honey-like consistency.
I could clearly sense an increase in power. Not only that, the Mantis actually tasted good. This must be the effects of the Goddess¡¯s blessing, it is actually pretty convenient that I don¡¯t have to readjust my taste buds to the flavor of raw insects.
After my lovely meal I crawled into a hallowed tree and decided to call it a day. Just before falling asleep I looked up into the sky to see the most beautiful scene I have seen in my entire life, a seemingly endless sky painted obsidian black sprayed with the brilliant glow of infinite stars. Just wait my new world, for I will outshine even the brightest of your celestial gems.
Author''s Notes: sorry it took me a little longer to upload this, hope you all enjoy it. Anyone else watching NBA all-star weekend? I''m pumped up for the dunk contest.
Chapter 3: Days 2-39 All Hail The Glorious Honey!
Day 2
Breakfast is the most important meal of the morning, or is that brunch? Anyways, I woke up to discover that I can still experience stomach grumbles even as a Slime with no stomach. In order to appease my hunger I crawled out of my tree and wondered through the area in search for something tasty.
After a few moments of searching I quickly found another Mantis but that was clearly not an option for breakfast. Why you ask, well that is obviously because I had Mantis for dinner. Let me explain, my Hyperion Constitution had affected every part of my previous body including my tongue. I could taste the difference if so much as a grain of sugar was dropped into an Olympic sized pool.
Seeing as I was a refined noble I also had to pick up hobbies that matched my high standing, and that is how I become a culinary connoisseur. Thus as an expert in the field of flavors it would be a disgrace to have the same thing two meals in a row!
I began searching again and after a few hours I finally found it, something that stirred the refined hunger of my soul. It was a large pentagonal beehive hanging off the branch of an even larger tree, the beehive glowed a dark red as though it was coated with amber syrup. This, this is what I need.
The beehive was at least ten feet off the ground well beyond my reach, but that did not matter because I would not stop until it was mine. I concentrated as hard as I could and tried to will the existence of some new limbs. As I closed my figurative eyes and my sight went black I increased my concentration.
Large biceps bulging with veins, long muscular forearms, firm yet dexterous fingers, I created an image of every aspect of the perfect pair of arms. *sigh* ¡®finished¡¯ I opened my eyes to see my newly created masterpieces but all I could see were two tiny green nubs ¡°BLUUUUUB!¡±(NOOOOO!)
Day 9
It has been a week since I first created my new tentacles, and I have dedicated every moment to training them. I was now capable of picking the berries that were previously out of reach along with some other fruits that grew nearby. But it isn''t enough; I have yet to make that delicious honey mine.
There wasn''t a day that passed by without me visiting the beehive. I would stretch my tentacles out for hours only to come a few inches short of my goal. It was driving me mad, to have something so irresistibly delicious so close and yet be just out of reach.
But no longer, today is the day I shall be the one to emerge as the victor. I waved a tentacle in the air as I yelled ¡°Blub blub blub blub!¡± (never shall I be mocked again by your delicious sweetness!). I made my way to Beehive with confidence and I looked up ¡°Blub blub blub¡±(today will be your last).
I began stretching my tentacles towards the hive. It was incredibly tough to keep my tentacles from going out of control; it was like manipulating two flagpoles made out of noodles. After three ridiculously long hours I could feel it, I would finally claim that alluring elixir of sweetness. Both of my tentacles made contact with the beehive but before I could pluck it from the tree a small shadow flew by and disintegrated a portion of my tentacle.
That''s when I saw it, a large bee the size of an apple. Its shell was dark red laced with black lines crisscrossing all over, and its eyes were sharply focused on me. Those eyes were the kind of eyes that have stared at me numerous times in my past life, those eyes were filled with a fierce determination.
Those eyes told me that before me stood an opponent who was not afraid to cast his life aside in order to achieve his goals. I broke eye contact with the bee after realizing that I could hear buzzing all around me. I quickly found out that the bee was not alone as thousands of bees encircled me, all of them with the same blood chilling eyes of the first.
A single slime surrounded by thousands of mutated killer bees, under these absurd conditions I couldn''t help but laugh. why hadn''t I thought of it before?
what do you need to create a beehive? I was so enticed by the seductive promise of sweet honey that I had failed to take into account the existence of its creators.
I hurriedly retracted my tentacles but I was simply not fast enough. By the time my tentacles began to descend dozens of the deadly Bees began aiming their stingers at them. Portion after portions of my tentacles began to disintegrate as the bees landed their blows, but the bees did not come out unscathed.
Right after stinging the Color of the bees would become dull and they would simply collapse. After completely destroying both of my tentacles the bees began to target my main body. The amount of bees were so numerous it was as though I was being covered in a blanket of darkness, the sheer number of the bees alone was enough to prevent any sunlight from reaching me.
The pain of each sting was enough to make my mind go blank only to be awakened by the pain the next sting. I imagined that death would quickly come to relieve me of this excruciating pain but to my horror I found that my suffering would be a prolonged one.
Although each bee did a considerable amount of damage, as soon as they stung me they would die and fall into the liquid of my slime body. They would then dissolve and heal over 90% of the damage they inflicted. The thought that these bugs would try to kill me with such a half assed attempt pissed me off.

"BLUUUUUUUB!"(ARGGHHH!) with new found rage fueling me I began moving forward. My pace was so slow that I''m not even sure if it qualified as crawling and I didn''t have the slightest clue of where I was going, all I knew was that I would put up a fight and screw over as many bees as I could in the process.
After what seemed to be a millennia of mind numbing, soul shattering pain something new finally happened. I felt the world disappear from beneath me and I felt my body become weightless as the pain that once inhabited every fiber of my being was washed away by a cool soothing sensation.
The flow of the river carried me for over an hour until I could now see my home tree. As I pulled myself out of the water the only thing i felt was anger, not at the bees but at myself. Why would I be angry at the bees? They were simply doing their job and protecting their homes. I was angry at myself for putting on such a poor performance against the bees. That night as I stared up at the majestic form of the moon and basked in its glorious light I swore to make that honey mine.
Day 39
I stared at the charging Horned Rabbit as it got closer and closer as escaping was impossible with a tree right behind me. My entire life flashed before my eyes but just as I was about to reminisce about the past I was pulled back into reality as the Rabbit''s horn finally reached its target.
As the Horn dug deeper and deeper into me the bitterness of regret began to accompany the flavor of death. To have wasted a second chance at life, there were so many things I had yet to do, so many things left to experience. But my biggest regret was undoubtedly the Beehive.
I remembered our first encounter, me with my timid and shy self keeping a safe distance while you glowed confidently with your sexy sweetness always tempting me. I remembered the complexity of our relationship as it appeared that our love was never meant to be. The endless days I spent chasing after you and the effort it had taken. And even when we come so close to becoming one with one another your parents had shown up and brutally attacked me forcing me into the river.
I could feel death''s cold embrace but even at the moment of demise your beauty is enough to bring me joy. I reached out in front of me with a tentacle as I called her name one last time "Blub blub"(Beehive) then my body went limp as my vision darkened.
Hahaha just kidding. This is a new hunting method I developed specifically for Horned Rabbits. I lure a Horned Rabbit into charging at me while I stand in front of a tree, and then at the last moment I open up a hole in my center just like a donut. I began to digest the Rabbit while its horn was stuck in the tree. The Rabbit digested completely leaving behind nothing except for its horn, I didn''t hunt this rabbit solely for the sake of food.
It has been a month now since my miserable defeat at the beehive took place. I have dedicated every moment of every day to preparing for a single moment, my rematch with the bees. After my unpleasant experience with the bees one of the first things I realized was how poorly equipped for survival Slimes were.
There were Rabbits with horns, poisonous snakes and even giant spiders. But Slimes had nothing! We are soft, squishy and lack any sort of defense mechanism! For any other person being reincarnated into a dog eat dog world such as this with the body of slime would mean certain death.
Thankfully I am an unparalleled genius and thus was capable of developing various methods to overcome these weaknesses. After my successful hunt I returned to my home tree. I had dug out the dirt beneath the tree so it was now a lot more spacious.
On one side was a wall full of the Horns of Horned Rabbits hanging on the roots of the tree. I was collecting these horns in order to use them as weapons. For defense I had collected the shell plates from a creature called Armored Tanuki, its shell was very hard and metallic perfect for what I wanted to use it for.
I had also learned to control the properties of my body. I could control the stickiness and acidity of my slime. Staring at my large underground armory I couldn''t help but shed tears of joy*sniffles*. To think that I was reborn into this world as a Tiny Slime, and now only a month and some odd days later I have an awesome lair. But I¡¯m not done yet, there¡¯s still one thing left to do. I geared up covering myself with the Armored Tanuki shells while hiding the Rabbit horns inside my body. I slowly crawled to the beehive full of anticipation for the upcoming battle.
Authors Notes: Thanks for following along for yet another chapter. I know that it took me a while to get this done but this chapter is a little longer and I wanted to make sure that I wrote exactly how I wanted it to be. Please leave a comment and rate, I love to hear about what you guys think. Whether its about how you feel about the story so far or anyways you think I could improve I would love to hear from you guys. Thanks for reading, I''ll try to keep a chapter a week schedule but I am taking 18 units and I have some other obligations so I apologize If I sometimes take longer. See you next time :)
Chapter 4 day 39 continued : F the Honey
Chapter 4 Day 39 continued
I stared up at the beehive determined to end it all today, one way or another that honey would be mine. Seeing as how the bees were still oblivious to my presence I quickly activated the first phase of my brilliant plan.
I carefully threw one of the shorter horns that I had collected at the beehive. Just as it was about to impale the magnificent kingdom of sweetness, the horn was deflected by a bee.
As the deflected horn hit the ground thousands upon thousands of bees exited the hive and began to charge at me. ¡®Okay everything¡¯s going according to plan, time to initiate phase two¡¯ I began to shift around the shape of my slime body pulling together the armored plates that had been randomly scattered across me.
The plates began to move and squeeze together until they formed a giant metal ball with me in the center holding them together. I opened up four small slots as to allow my tentacles to move. After rigorous training I was now able to control up to four tentacles, I could also see whatever my tentacles saw. These four tentacles were equipped with the sharpest of the Rabbit horns in my collection.
The Bees began their attack focusing on both my shell and my tentacles. My tentacles weaved through the bees never ending onslaught, dodging stinger after stinger all while countering with attacks of their own whenever an opportunity was provided.
A large swarm of bees charged forward and fiercely planted their stingers onto the outer layer of my shell, right after their kamikaze attack their shells lost their luster as their bodies fell to the ground, but my armor had managed to come out with only the slightest bit of visible damage.
My mighty spears of destruction (AKA Tentacles with Rabbit horns) impaled countless victims all while maneuvering amongst the storm of stingers that targeted them.
The battle progressed for over and yet neither I nor the bees could gain an advantage, or so I had thought. As the battle progressed even further I began to notice a change in my armored shell. Wherever the bees injected their stingers my shell would slightly grow. I had originally planned to make this a battle of attrition, I had no idea the bees had an ability like this.
Hours after the start of the battle the weight of my shell had gotten to the point that it was now slowly crushing me. Don¡¯t misunderstand, I had dedicated a lot of time to raising my strength but the shell as it was right now was four times its normal weight. Damn, Guess I have no other choice, Self Destruct!
Not really, I didn''t explode but I did propel the shell fragments with enough force to crush any bees that were either too slow or simply unfortunate enough to get hit. With my only form of defense gone the bees didn''t hesitate to rush at me.
Just as the storms of bees were about to crash into me there was a bizarre sound. A high pitched shriek tore through the air and the bees froze in their spots. The air was silent as the bees just stared at me; the weird thing was that I just stared back. Something within me was screaming ¡®DANGER!¡¯ and kept me from making a move.
My body tensed up as I saw a small figure exit the hive. It was a young woman around twenty years old. Her face seemed to lack life as it was impossibly pale, and yet the absence of a single blemish combined with her cold expression made her strangely beautiful.
The gorgeous young woman was about twice the size of the rest of the bees but she was still relatively small compared to me. As she descended from the hive her gold and black dress fluttered in the wind teasingly exposing tiny segments of her perfect figure ¡®little more, just a little more¡¯ I tried looking at different angles but I couldn''t get a better look.
I wasn''t doing anything perverted *Cough* all I wanted to do was scout the enemy ahead of time. Whoever this woman was she would have been a top class model back in my old world, her waist was fairly thin in contrast to her ample chest and legs. She looked around at the bees for a few moments.
Her curly blonde hair swayed as she turned to face me. She stared dead at me and made some more weird noises ¡°@#$@%@ $%$^¡±. It appeared that she was trying to communicate with me but all I could do was stare back at her.
As I continued staring at her she then began making some more weird noises ¡°#$%^^%$ #$%#@¡± she then raised her hand and shot out a blinding light at me. It all happened so fast, I didn''t have any time to react. The light hit me but just as I was preparing myself to endure the force of the attack nothing happened, then a window appeared.
| You have been bestowed the following blessing: Language Mastery |
Suddenly the girl spoke
Beautiful Girl:¡°Thou should be able to understand my words now correct?¡±
I nodded in response
Beautiful Girl:¡°Art thou touched in thy head? Why does thou not respond with words?¡±
Her attitude angered me to the point of shouting
¡°You think I enjoy being mute!¡±
but instead of the normal bubbling sound I had grown accustomed to hearing I heard words. That can¡¯t be. Did I actually speak just now? Does it have something to do with the blessing I just got? The voice was different than the one I had before because it was slightly higher pitched but those were the words I wanted to say.
I almost forgot about my current predicament until the young woman started talking again.
Bee Queen:¡°I am the queen of this hive. Thus I must inquire why thou hath disturbed our peace.¡±
I calmly pointed at the hive and responded
¡°I want some of your honey.¡±
The Queen¡¯s cold and serene expression was immediately destroyed and replaced with a furious snarl
Queen Bee:¡°Another fool chasing after the power of our honey! You shall meet your end!¡±
The Queen pulled out her sword from a pitch black sheath that looked exactly like a bee stinger and charged at me with the company of the other bees. I quickly began negotiating like a used car salesmen that had just upset a violent customer
Just a few jars will do!. No!? How about just one jar!? Not even a few drops!?¡±
But the Queen ignored my pleading and continued charging. I searched my mind for a way out scrambling for a single thought of how to survive. Then it came to me. I chuckled in my head ¡®Hehehe think you can kill me so easily¡¯ I shouted
¡°Wait! You can¡¯t kill me like this!¡±
The Queen stopped and commanded the rest of the bees to a halt
Bee Queen:¡°And why is that?¡±
I answered
¡°As a queen, would it not be dishonorable and beneath you to use such large numbers for a single opponent?¡±
The snarl disappeared from the Queen¡¯s face as she began to ponder the meaning behind my words.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
Bee Queen:¡°Very well, I alone am enough to end the sorry existence of a mongrel such as thou¡±
¡®Now that it is one on one let us see how long you can keep up that arrogant attitude¡¯ just as I was readying my spears( Tentacles with horns) my vision flipped. I wondered to myself ¡®why are the clouds on the ground¡¯ I saw my own body a few feet away and then I saw the Queen about to impale my head with her sword!
¡°Wait!¡±
I shouted as the Queen swung her blade downward. The blade stopped an inch away from my face.
Bee Queen:¡°what now?¡±
The Queen had an annoyed expression. I grabbed my head with my tentacles and reattached it to my body. Did she chop my head off in less than a second? Dammit why did I have to meet such a monster!? I had to do something quick otherwise I am as good as dead.
¡°The disparity in our power is too great, it would be unfair to fight me without giving me a handicap.¡±
Bee Queen:¡°What does thou suggest?¡±
¡°Give me three minutes. For three minutes you will only be allowed to defend. If I can land a single strike within those three minutes then it is my victory. If after those three minutes pass and I have yet to land a single strike then you can just kill me.¡±
I finished my proposal to the Queen and stared at her in hopes that she would agree to my request.
Bee Queen:¡°Very well, however, there shall be no more interruptions and you cannot request for more conditions.¡±
As the Queen descended she stabbed her sword into ground and motioned for me to begin my attack. ¡®Bitch, you think you are better than me just because you can kill me in the blink of an eye¡¯ I raised my tentacles and began my assault.
I first fired all the spare horns I had, leaving me with only 2 for close combat purposes. The Queen easily dodged them as a series of thuds indicated that they had hit the hive tree.
Bee Queen:¡°What a useless move. All thou hast accomplished is disarming thyself.¡±
I then engaged the Queen in close combat. My two tentacles attack from every angle at a furious pace. But the Queen merely stood there parrying the incoming strikes with her bare hands.
¡®how can such delicate looking hands be so fearsome?¡¯ I wondered to myself as I continued to clash head to head with the Queen. Time slowly passed with each second feeling like an hour.
Finally as the Queen grabbed one of my tentacles, a cruel smile formed on her face
Bee Queen:¡°Looks like thou hath run out of time¡±.
She generated a shock wave that obliterated the tentacle she was holding and sent me flying a few feet. My vision slowly stabilized as I recovered from the shock and the first thing I saw was the Queen as she pulled her blade out of the ground and slowly made her way towards me.
Each step she took reverberated with a dreadful thump. As she stood in front of me she raised her sword and stared at me as though I was nothing but a nuisance. She swung her sword down at full force creating a whizzing sound through the air.
But just as the blade was about to make contact the sound of a twig snapping stole her attention. She turned around and saw what appeared to be her hive walking away on eight green tentacles.
Bee Queen:¡°What in the wor-!¡±
But before she could complete stating her outrage, I took the opportunity to smack her as hard as I could with me tentacle. With her guard down it was impossible to react much less block my attack.
She was sent flying through the bushes as I made a mad dash towards the hive. I stretched my body into a thin layer of slime as I engulfed the hive.
I began rolling away with the large hive at the center of my body and jumped into the river. Hahaha everything had gone according to my impromptu plan. The first horns I shot out were actually hollowed out and filled with some of my slime.
I never intended to hit the Queen that attack was simply so that my slime could get close to the hive without drawing any attention. Some people may call me a ¡°cheater¡± or a ¡°liar¡± but I don¡¯t think that there was anything wrong with my method.
In the first place it is the Queen¡¯s fault for not fully understanding the rules. I never said I had to land a strike on her. I landed ¡°a single strike¡± on the hive which she failed to ¡°defend¡± so it is clearly her lose. Now to enjoy the spoils of war.
. I began digesting the hive as I rode the river current. The flavor was like nothing known to man in my previous world. The sweetness was deep powerful without being overbearing. Just as I was immersing myself in the wonderfulness of the honey and analyzing its irresistible taste, my body began to feel weird.
My body grew hot as each and every cell felt like it was vibrating at a crazy speed. Despite being in the cool river my body began to boil as bubbles of heat began to emerge from all over. ¡® the honey, it must be the honey¡¯ I tried to detach from the hive but the stickiness of the honey was keeping bound to it.
Ahhhh! I moaned in pain as the torture had yet to end. I was already washed ashore as I was unable to leave the river when I was near my home. The pain had forced me to be carried by the river until I finally arrived at the end.
. It was night now and the pain still had yet to subside. Ahhhh! The pain level spiked and I began to feel the liquid in my stretch and pull against itself. Just as I was staring at the moon praying to my so called Patron Goddess, a window popped up
| Evolution is being forced in order to alleviate some of the impossibly large amounts of Life Essence |
I couldn''t even form a response as I blacked out soon after.
Authors Notes:Hi guys Kijo here. I wanted to apologize again for the long wait time. As I said before I will try to keep a chapter a week schedule but there are sometimes where I just can''t. Anyways the main reason it took awhile for this chapter to come out was that I spend a lot of time revising it. I had gotten a comment on the other website where I post this asking me not to skip days. So i ended up changing this entire chapter so that it would be 1 day. but then I realized that I hadn''t gotten any comments on here about it. So I was wondering how you guys felt about my time skips. I could write about every single day but that wouldn''t really be that realistic because no one has a life where every day is interesting, not even Heroes :). Also to make up for my long update time I made this chapter a little longer than usual and there will be a special sidestory up this weekend :) Thanks for following for another chapter, please rate and comment as your support and interaction is what helps motivates me to write . See you all next time. :)
Side Story: It is Good to be King
The carriage rode over a bump that woke me up from my nap, I immediately yelled to the driver
¡°Dammit! One more bump and you shall forfeit your head!¡±
He stammered from outside
Driver:¡°ye-yes sire.¡±
That fool, who is he to dare and disrupt my royal slumber. One more slip up and I will eradicate his family. I looked outside and just as I expected it was all forest with a village or two scattered about, not a single civilized development within sight. I have been cooped up in this carriage for over six hours, if it wasn''t for the rumor of a Royal Hive having been spotted I would have never stepped foot into this retched land.
I felt the carriage come to a halt so I looked out the window, it wasn''t just my carriage but the entire legion of accompanying soldiers had come to a halt. I pushed the carriage door open and jumped out yelling
¡°Why the hell have we stopped!¡±
I stared at the legion of soldiers until one of the captains stumbled his way to me,
Soldier 1:¡°Sir the-¡°
I bashed the side of his head with my royal scepter
¡°Guards execute this man!¡±.
As soon as the words left my mouth three of my personal guards stepped up, two held the soldier down while the last one beheaded him. I could hear some of the soldiers whispering among themselves but paid it no mind.
New soldier:*whisper*¡±what just happened?¡±
Veteran Soldier: *whisper*¡± I''ve heard of this happening before but I didn''t believe it¡±
New Soldier::*whisper* ¡°what?¡±
Veteran Soldier:*whisper* ¡°apparently the king is really sensitive about his height, whenever addressing the king
you must kneel down in order to avoid looking down on him. Looking down on the king is punishable by death¡±
New Soldier:*whisper* ¡°I thought it was funny that he was the size of a child, I never knew he was so cruel¡±
Veteran Soldier:*whisper* ¡°you mustn''t underestimate the king. I heard that powerful magic runs in the royal bloodline¡±
I looked at the crowd of soldiers and this time another soldier approached me but kneeled down before he began talking
Soldier 2:¡° S-sir the soldiers ha-have been marching nonstop for over six hours¡±
I smashed my scepter into his face, as he fell to the floor I was pleased in seeing him lose a few teeth
¡°I know how long we have been travelling! I asked for the reason why we have stopped¡±
he rubbed his face as he struggled out some words
Soldier 2:¡°th-the soldiers are ti-tired¡±
I placed my right hand on his head and activated my ancestral magic. My hand released a black glow as I drained the
soldier¡¯s life force. The soldier began to gasp and he began clawing at my hand in an attempt to pry it off as he began to shrivel up. His struggling ended as I picked up the empty husk of what was his body. I tossed the body right at the legion of soldiers and stared them right in their eyes
¡°Is anyone still tired?¡±
As soon as my cold voice rang out the soldiers prepared to march again.
After marching for another six hours we arrived to the supposed location of the Royal Hive. I had the soldiers search the area but all they could find were a startling number of Royal Bee corpses scattered across the forest floor, the Hive was nowhere in sight. I yelled loud enough for the entire legion to hear me
Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site.
¡°Where is the navigator!?¡±
following my words, a young child no more than ten was pushed in front of me, he dropped to his knees bowing before me
¡° Si-sir I am T-T-Tibbs the navigator¡±
I called for my assistant ¡°Maricio!¡± right away a fat pig of a man with a shining bald head dropped to his knees in front of me
Maricio:¡° yes sir?¡±
I smacked the top of his head with my scepter
¡°why the hell is our navigator a child who has yet to be weaned off of his mothers breast milk!?¡±
Maricio:!?¡± ¡°Sir, Tibbs here is an orphan from a nearby village. He is the one who reported spotting the Royal Hive¡±
I smacked Maricio with my scepter again
¡° You dragged me out here on the word of a child!?¡±
as I continued to beat him Maricio spoke
Maricio:¡° But sir, you are the one who told us to alert you of any progress pertaining to the locating of a Royal Hive.¡±
''Oh yeah I did say that ''
¡°Very well, continue the search¡±.
The legion of soldiers searched the forest late into the night until one of the men yelled out
¡°Demonic Beast!, Demonic Beast!. There is an incoming wave of Demonic Beast!¡±
the legion began preparing to retreat until they heard my voice boom throughout the area
¡°Hold your ground! No one leaves until we find the Royal Hive!¡±
Maricio ran to my feet
Maricio:¡°Sir we must retreat now. The waves of Demonic Beast are quickly approaching!¡±
my voice roared once again
¡°what the hell would you know. It takes three thousand years for a Royal Hive to develop but just one drop of its Royal Honey is enough to change the water in a lake into a high class healing elixir. If I could just find one Royal Hive it would be enough to sponsor hundreds of war campaigns¡±
just then a group of my elite personal guards came back with a man that they had chained up
Personal Guard:¡°Sire, we caught commander Triston attempting to flee¡±
Commander Triston:¡°Please Sire, my ten year old daughter lives in one of the nearby villages, allow me to guard the village¡±
he dropped to his knees and bowed to me
"Enough. To abandon your king is a crime punishable by death. Execute him!¡±
Maricio whispered to me
Maricio: *whisper* ¡°Sir we cannot kill him here. Commander Triston is one of the best warriors in our kingdom, he is also a very well versed military strategist. To kill him would lower our soldiers morale and would show weakness to our army¡±
A demonic beast the size of two men standing on each other broke through the soldiers line of defense and had almost stroke Maricio with its razor sharp claws, it was only subdued with the combined effort of three of my elite guards
¡°Very well, Bring him back to the capital. It appears that we must retreat now¡±
Thus we made a hasty retreat as my personal guards dragged Commander Triston back to the capital.

Chapter 5 Day 40 : Roaring Slime Fist
Day 40
My head was buzzing as I woke up it felt very similar to a really bad hangover, however there was a strange pulsing I could feel throughout my entire body. I began to examine myself in the reflection of the nearby river and what I found truly surprised me.
Before last night I was about the size of a wild boar, but now I was at least three times larger, my size could now compare to some of the bears I had seen in the forest. My color had also changed from green to dark red. I also found the source of the strange pulsing, it was a strange crystal. The crystal was dark orange and was the size of an apple.
I tried experimenting with it and I discovered that although I couldn''t take it out of my body, I could move it anywhere in my body. I was just about done looking at my reflection when I noticed something strange ¡®that¡¯s not possible is it?¡¯ I moved my body as I stared at my reflection ¡®it must be some sort of optical illusion¡¯ I moved to a different part of the river and checked my reflection again ¡®why me? Why me!?¡¯
I finally worked up the courage to touch it and was definitely real. My eyes weren''t playing tricks on me and I was not going crazy, there was a small tree growing out of the top of my head.
The leafs on the tree quivered as I wondered ¡®what had I done wrong to be punished like this? Is it because I never recycled? Is it because I loved to drive high class sports cars instead of fuel efficient ones? Is karma trying to punish me for never having cared about nature?¡¯
Then I remembered the message I had gotten before I had blacked out ¡®Forced Evolution¡¯. Could all of the changes that had occurred be a result of evolving? I checked my status
| Name: Kyogo Level:1/100
Race:Royal Honey Slime
Strength:120 Speed:80 Stamina:100 Intelligence:1300 |
Just as I thought, my race has changed to something called a ¡®Royal Honey Slime¡¯ and it appears that my stats got a boost. I checked my skill list to check if anything had changed, and sure enough there were three new skills
| Honey Fruit: Produces Honey Fruit. Honey Fruit is a high class fruit that can instantly cure fatigue |
| Royal Honey: Produces Royal Honey. Royal Honey is a high class ingredient that possesses strong healing properties |
| Cultivating Meditation: A skill used to strengthen the user through meditation. Through meditation it is possible to cultivate the body as well as the soul |
One thing that caught my curiosity was the fact that my level had dropped to 1, it was 20 before I absorbed the Hive. The only possible explanation is that it dropped from my evolution. If so that must mean that 100 is the level required to evolve. ¡®hahaha I truly am a genius¡¯ just as I was basking in the glory of my greatness I heard a set of footsteps heading my way.
I tried to find a place to hide until I realized that it would be impossible. My giant frame was now 7 feet tall combined with the 3 foot tall tree on top of my head it would be very difficult to find a place to hide. The footsteps were getting closer and I was running out of time. Seeing as how there was no place for me to hide I was forced to make my own.
I dug a hole into the ground large enough bury my body but allowed the tree to stick out like a normal plant. ¡®become the tree, be one with the tree¡¯ I repeated that mantra in my head as I awaited the arrival of the enclosing footsteps.
Interestingly enough I could see through the perspective of the tree. What I saw was a little boy who was about ten years old. He appeared to be short for his age but was obviously very physically fit. His eyes were filled with panic as he constantly turned around to glance behind him, as though there was a terrifying presence looming over his shoulder.
The short, dark green hair on his head was drenched in sweat and appeared to have blotches of blood spread all over. The boy¡¯s legs trembled as he ran and after a few more steps he finally collapsed.
Strange Boy: *panting* ¡°huh huh, I think I lost it¡±
The boy tried to stand up but before he could straighten his legs he was hit with a dark cloud that knocked him back twenty feet, he landed right next to me. The cloud turned into a creature that closely resembled a chimpanzee except it had large bat wings on its back, looking at the data floating above its head it was a level 15 Luthunian. The Luthunian stood in front of the boy, just staring at him.
The boy slowly got back up and he charged at the Luthunian. The boy swung his fist with all the might he could muster but it was all in vain. The Luthunian casually dodged the boy¡¯s fist even letting a few land as though he were toying with him. Finally the Luthunian seemed to grow tired of playing around and he slammed his foot into the boy¡¯s chest knocking him back down.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Strange Boy: ¡°there is no way I am going die like this!¡±
With a determined look on his face the boy jumped to his feet and what he did next surprised me. He grabbed the tree on top of my head and tried to use it as a weapon but he only succeeded in causing me pain.
¡°Ouch ouch ouch! Quit pulling!¡±
The Boy finally let go of the tree as he fell to the floor.
Strange Boy: ¡°The trees alive!¡±
I popped out of the ground blasting dirt everywhere.
¡°How rude! I am not a tree!¡±
The Luthunian tried to take advantage of the confusion I had created, he revealed his razor sharp teeth as he lunged at the boy. I shot out a tentacle and caught the Luthunian before he could reach the boy, but before I could finish the job the Luthunian released a loud shriek.
Luthunian:¡±Yeeeeeeh!¡±
¡°Not good¡±
I quickly coiled my tentacle and crushed him but the damage had already been done. I could hear more creatures approaching, most likely that shriek was a distress signal and now because of my carelessness more enemies were on the way.
A group of dark clouds arrived and turned into Luthunians. They dispersed and began to surround me. Seeing this large group circle around me reminded me of the old Kung-Fu movies I enjoyed watching in my previous world. I couldn''t help getting swept up in the mood
¡°Ha your numbers are useless in the face of my Roaring Slime Fist!¡±
That was enough to get them to begin their attack. I tried to create as many tentacles as I could in order to see if there were any changes, and indeed there were. I could now create and control up to ten tentacles.
I whipped my large tentacles around crushing any Luthunian stupid enough to try and block it. Many of them ended up dying upon contact as the force of my tentacles was enough to shatter bones even if they tried to defend.
After seeing so many of their comrades die so easily the smarter Luthunians that had dodged my last attack began to flee. Well, they tried to flee but of course I stopped them. I caught each of the fleeing Luthunians with my tentacles and immediately crushed them.
I was surprised by how quickly I had fought them. No, I can¡¯t even say it was a fight. It was more like a one sided massacre. My stomach growled
¡°phew, slaughtering sure does work up an appetite¡±
I began tossing the Luthunian corpses into my body so that they could dissolve. To my amazement the bodies didn¡¯t dissolve normally. After dissolving they would turn into particles of light and be absorbed by the crystal in my body. I was about to toss the last Luthunian corpse into my body when I heard a stomach growl behind me ¡®oh yeah the boy¡¯ I had almost forgotten about him. I turned around and held out the last Luthunian corpse as I offered it to the boy
¡°Want some?¡±
Strange Boy: ¡°That¡¯s okay, I¡¯m not hung-"
He was interrupted by his own stomach.
¡°You sure? You seem pretty hungry to me¡±
I brought the body closer to his face and dangled it in front of him an attempt to entice him but his reaction was the complete opposite.
Strange Boy: ¡°Bluuugh!¡± *cough cough* ¡°Bluuugh!¡±
The boy turned his face away from the corpse and vomited. ¡®That¡¯s odd¡¯ I thought to myself ¡®these corpses are fresh so they shouldn''t smell too bad¡¯ I looked around for anything else the boy could eat. The boy¡¯s face was dangerously pale and his body was obviously exhausted so a good meal would probably do him a lot of good.
I remembered about one of my new abilities and thought that now would be the best time to try it out. As I activated my Honey Fruit ability I could feel something growing on top of my head. The fruit finished growing in just a few seconds and it was about the size of a watermelon. Its body was clear dark red with a single black line going all the way around it. The fruits texture was very similar to the gummy candies that were popular back in my old home world.
After carefully inspecting the fruit I handed it to the boy. He was suspicious at first but after seeing that I was not trying to trick him he took the fruit. The boy thanked me and took a bite.
Strange Boy: *talking with a mouth full of food* ¡°fwo dewitheth(so delicious)¡±
The boy gobbled up the entire fruit in just a few minutes. After making sure that the boy had filled his stomach and that he was alright I had turned around and was just about to go when the boy ran in front of me, dropped to his knees and bowed.
Strange Boy: ¡°Master, please teach me the ways of the Roaring Slime Fist!¡±
Authors Notes: Hey guys. Are you all ready for the weekend! Well I for one am glad to have a break from classes. but most importantly (drum roll) I managed to finish the chapter on time! Chapter 6 Day 40 continued: Slime Papa
Day 40 Continued
I stared down at the little boy that was currently prostrating before me. I immediately tried to discouraging him.
¡°Why would you want to learn from me? I am a monster you know¡±
He quickly responded
Strange Boy: ¡°Master might be a slime but master is kind and strong¡±
I confidently raised my head up.
¡°Hahaha yes that¡¯s right. What else?¡±
The strange boy was confused at first.
Strange Boy: : ¡°Eh? Um, master is big and courageous¡±
I lifted my head up even higher.
¡°And what else?¡±
The strange boy picked up his pace.
Strange Boy: ¡°Master is as cool as ice and as fast as lightning, the earth trembles beneath his feet, the oceans wildest waves become calm at the sound of his voice, even the heavens do not dare to not give him face!¡±
I patted the kids head.
¡°Hahaha Yes your master is the most amazing master underneath the heavens¡±
I pulled him up.
¡°Come you must clean yourself up. You must not embarrass your master with your appearance¡±
The boy raised his head to reveal a joyous smile .
Strange Boy: ¡°Yes master!¡±
I had the boy leave his clothes to me while he washed himself in the river. I washed his clothes by scrubbing them against a rock while occasionally splashing them with water. After I was finished washing his clothes I created a fire and set his clothes to dry.
I looked at the sky and saw that the sun was still up high and bright meaning that most animals would still be active so I decided to go hunting. After entering the forest close by the river I soon spotted a wild boar. These creatures once intimidated me but now, after my transformation, this wild boar seemed almost harmless. One quick blow to the back of its neck was all it took to end its life. I dissolved all the meat and bones leaving only the fur.
¡°Now that I have officially accepted you as a disciple I think it is about time you told me your name¡±
The boy dropped to his knees.
Strange Boy: ¡°Please forgive my lack of manners!¡±
His response caught me off guard .
¡°That is okay. Just tell me your name.¡±
The boy returned to a sitting position .
Strange Boy: ¡°Yes master. My name is Tibbs¡±
I asked Tibbs about how he ended up being chased by a Luthunian.
Tibbs:¡°Originally I was asked to guide the king to where I had spotted something they called a Royal Hive. It looked like a normal beehive except it was dark red and a lot bigger. But when we got there the Hive was gone and there were only dead bee bodies all over the forest. The king ordered everyone to stay and look but after a few hours a wave of Demonic Beast arrived. The king didn¡¯t want to retreat at first but after one of the Demonic Beast had broken through the soldiers line of defense he was forced to leave. I was fleeing with them until the King used his magic to toss me at the Demonic Beasts calling me a liar and saying that I had wasted his time. Luckily the Demonic Beast didn¡¯t notice me and gave me a chance to retreat. Only I had bad luck in attract the attention of some stragglers as I fled. I ran all night and thankfully I met master.¡±
Tibbs¡¯s story raised my curiosity about a few things, especially the part about the hive.
¡° Tibbs do you know why they were looking for that Hive?¡±
Tibbs:¡°I don¡¯t know much about it, I thought it was a normal beehive. But the king did say that one drop of its honey was enough to turn the water in a lake into high grade healing elixir and that he could fund hundreds of war campaigns if he found the hive.¡±
*gulp* Did I eat a national treasure!? My mind was racing a hundred miles per hour ¡®maybe he heard the king wrong, or maybe the king was wrong about the hive. But if the king was right that would explain my forced evolution¡¯ I finally calmed down after analyzing all the facts and concluding that absorbing the Hive was actually to my benefit.
I looked at Tibbs closely and it would appear that the description of the Honey Fruit was very accurate. The color had returned to Tibbs¡¯s face and there wasn''t a single trace of the exhaustion from earlier. It would seem that the Honey Fruit is truly capable of curing fatigue.
After Tibbs¡¯s clothes finished drying we set out on our journey, our destination? My home tree. During the trip Tibbs had asked me to begin his training. Obviously I couldn''t actually teach him to fight like a Slime but since I was well versed in a number of my old World¡¯s martial arts I was still capable of teaching him something. I first taught him the Straight Thrust the basic punching technique in Karate.
Tibbs earnestly practiced the Straight Thrust as we journey through the forest. After a few hours Tibbs¡¯s voice broke the silence.
Tibbs:¡°Master may I ask where we are headed?¡±
Tibbs continued to practice the Straight Thrust.
We are headed towards my home.¡±
Tibbs:¡°Master¡¯s home¡.I see¡±
I stared at him as he continued practicing.
¡°Tell me Tibbs, do you not have any family that you will miss?¡±
Tibbs:¡°No I am an orphan¡±
¡°Even if you are an orphan you must have some friends from the orphanage. Won¡¯t you miss them?¡±
Tibbs:¡°Everyone at the orphanage knows that we could be separated at any moment. Most of the orphans are sold as slaves and sent to the Capital. That¡¯s why we cherish each moment we share and wish each other the best no matter where we may end up.¡±
Tibbs¡¯s voice carried heavy sorrow within and his face struggled to hold back his tears. Slowly he lost the struggle as the hot tears began to trickle down his face.
Tibbs:*Sobs* ¡°that¡¯s why I have decided to follow Master. I want to become strong. I want the strength to protect my happiness so that no one can take it away from me¡±
Tibbs continued to practice, ignoring the tears as if they did not exist. I couldn¡¯t help but pat his head. Now it was my turn to fight back a few tears.
¡°Don¡¯t worry Tibbs. Master will take good care of you. Under my care you will become one of the fiercest powers that the world will ever know¡±
He wiped the tears of his face. Tibbs looked up and smiled brightly at me.
Tibbs:¡°Yes master¡±
After a few more hours of walking through the dense forest Tibbs and I arrived at my home tree but something was off. All around my home tree there were large craters on the ground that appeared to have been caused by combat. I was worried that the impact that had created those craters had also collapsed the cave bellow my home tree so I decided to check the caves condition before I let Tibbs in.
My head slowly lowered down into the cave as I inspected it. It was a lot tighter now that I had grown from my evolution. ¡®I will probably have to make it bigger for me and Tibbs¡¯ as I descended I made sure all of the support beams were still in good condition. I was just about to go back up when I heard a strange noise. It sounded like there was something whimpering close by.
Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings.
Then I noticed that there was something moving underneath the pile of furs that I had collected. As I got closer and closer to the pile of furs the strange noise became clearer and clearer.
*whimpering*¡±Papa¡p-papa¡±
I slowly removed the furs only to find something completely shocking. Underneath the furs was a tiny little girl crying her eyes out. Her hair was mostly silver but there were purple streaks. Her skin was very fair. Not as pale as the Bee Queen but she was pretty close. The sundress that she wore was tattered and covered in dirt.
My mind then recalled what would happen to men in my situation back in my old world. ¡®Officers this is just a big misunderstanding. I don¡¯t know how the little girl ended up in my apartment with barely any clothes on! Please don¡¯t arrest me!¡¯
I was pulled out of my delusions when the girl woke up and stared at me.
Girl:*crying* ¡°Waaaaaahhhhh!¡±
The girl began throwing whatever she could get her hands on at me. Horns, shell fragments, and rocks were all thrown with great power ¡®this girl is pretty strong¡¯. She even pulled out a few support beams ¡® Are you serious! What kind of monstrous strength does this girl have?!¡¯
The cave began shaking. Just as the cave was about to collapse I grabbed the girl and retracted my head back to the surface. The girl was kicking and screaming until I placed her down. Tibbs ran up to me.
Tibbs:¡°Master, what happened in there?¡±
I pointed at the girl.
¡°Just a little commotion¡±
The girl was pointing a small blade at me. It appeared to be one of those short blades that were usually for defense. Those short blades were normally dual wielded with a longer sword. I tried calmly talking to the girl while slowly approaching her.
¡°It¡¯s okay. No one is going to hurt you.¡±
I finally got close enough to hug her. I patted her head as I hugged her in an attempt to calm her down. Everything seemed to be going well until I felt a small prick in my side. I looked down and saw that the girl had stuck the short blade into my body. I was not worried because there was no way for a little girl to seriously injure me with such a short blade.
But then the hilt of the blade began to glow. A split second later a powerful explosion blew apart a large chunk out of the side of my body. The force of the explosion knocked me down momentarily. Tibbs furious voice roared through the air.
Tibbs:¡°Bitch! How dare you betray the Master¡¯s kindness!¡±
He charged at the girl and was about to practice his Straight Thrust on her face but I grabbed his right fist an inch away from the girl¡¯s face.
¡°Tibbs I am okay. The girl is just scared. There is no reason to use violence right now.¡±
We were sitting around a fire when I heard the girl¡¯s stomach grumble. I created two Honey Fruits and offered one each to Tibbs and the girl. Tibbs happily accepted his fruit and ravaged it. But the girl began crying as soon as my tentacle got close.
Girl:* crying* ¡°Papa! I w-want my Papa!¡±
I felt sorry for the girl. In my past life I myself was incredibly intimate the pain of being alone. What kind of pain was this girl who longed for her father¡¯s presence going through, I couldn¡¯t even begin to comprehend. All I could do was try my best to comfort her.
¡°Don¡¯t cry it¡¯ll be okay. I will help you look for your Papa¡±
The girl looked at me as she tried to stop her crying.
Girl:*sobs* ¡°R-really?¡±
I nodded my head confidently.
¡°We will find him in no time¡±
The girl looked at me again but this time the sadness in her eyes were replaced with hope.
Girl:¡°Will we really find my Papa?¡±
Tibbs swallowed the remainder of his fruit in one gulp and jumped to his feet.
Tibbs:¡°Who do you think Master is? His voice shakes the heavens while the earth trembles beneath his feet! If Master says that he will find your father then your father might as well be standing right here Hmph!¡±
Tibbs crossed his arms and puffed out his chest. I looked back at the little girl and nodded my head.
¡°I guarantee that we will find your Papa. Until then you can just call me Slime Papa. Now hurry up and eat. You can¡¯t search for your Papa with an empty stomach¡±
After everyone finished eating I managed to hunt enough wolves to gather enough furs to create three sleeping mats. I stared at the Moon as I tried to fall asleep. Just as I was about to doze off I felt someone climb onto my mat. It was the little girl.
Girl:¡°Slime Papa, are you awake?¡±
I turned to face the little girl .
¡°Yes. Slime Papa is still awake. Why is it that you are still awake?¡±
Girl:¡°I was wondering if I could sleep with you.¡±
¡°Sure, why not?¡±
After hearing that I had given her permission the little girl climbed on top of me and laid there.
Girl:¡°Just as I thought. Slime Papa is really soft and squishy.¡±
¡°Goodnight¡±
Girl:¡°Goodnight Slime Papa.¡±
I was finally falling asleep again when the girl started talking again.
Girl:¡°Slime Papa?¡±
¡®Oh my goodness. This girl has a real talent for disturbing my sleep¡¯
¡°What is it?¡±
Girl:¡°Does it still hurt?¡±
I saw the girl looking down at my side. The portion that she blew apart had already grown back but it had yet to regain its original color.
¡°Just a tiny bit.¡±
Girl:¡°I¡¯m sorry. Here let me help.¡±
The girl kissed my side and patted it.
Girl:¡°Ouchy Ouchy go away.¡±
I couldn''t help but smile at the girl as I patted the girl¡¯s head.
¡°Thanks. Now it¡¯s time to go to sleep¡±
Girl:¡°Kay, goodnight¡±
¡°Goodnight¡±
And that is how my first night as Slime Papa passed.

Chapter 7 Day 41-44: Her pain is my pain.
Day 41-43
Me, Tibbs and the little girl who later introduced herself as Luna walked through the forest at a leisurely pace. Luna sat on the top of my head as she held onto what I have begun to call ¡°The Royal Tree¡± seeing as how it produces the awesome treasures known as Honey Fruit.
Anyways the reason we are moving at a Leisurely pace despite the fact that Luna has been with us for a few days now and we have yet to catch a glimpse of her ¡°Papa¡± is that it is the fastest we could go.
Our previous speed was even slower. In the beginning I tried to have Luna walk but contradicting her monstrous strength she would drop her butt to the floor and just sit there refusing to walk anymore. She would say things like ¡°Too tired¡± or ¡°I¡¯m hungry can we eat first?¡± so in order to speed up our travels I have come up with the current accommodations.
Luna sits on top of my head as we travel so that she does not complain and I also produce Honey Fruits for her snack, I produce them constantly! Luna has an impossible appetite! One Honey Fruit can keep Tibbs full and energized for three hours even with all the training he does. Luna on the other hand eats one Honey Fruit an hour!
She isn''t even faking the hunger. Her stomach literally growls if it goes for more than an hour without eating. I once caught a wild boar and grilled it over a fire for dinner. Luna ate half of the entire thing! Despite her enormous appetite and the large amounts of food she consumes she still remains the same petite and delicate looking girl, I just can¡¯t understand how her stomach works.
Another contributing factor to our slow pace is Tibbs¡¯s training. After I saw that Tibbs¡¯s body became accustomed to the movements involved in the straight thrust I taught him a basic stance. Since he was right handed I had his left side face forward. His left hand shaped into a fist pointing up with his thumb facing his body with his elbow bent at a 90 degree angle. I had him spread his legs so that his knees were shoulder width apart while slightly bending his knees. This was a very stable stance suitable for beginners.
Even while travelling Tibbs remained in that stance so it was understandable that our speed would be slow. But our time on the road was not wasted. During our trip I took the chance to learn more about Luna and this world as well as myself.
One of the firsts things I noticed was the increase speed in my level development. After I got this crystal in my body it seems that my level has been rising at a faster pace. I think the crystal is absorbing the power from the enemies I defeat. But that is just my theory.
Another thing that has helped my increased leveling speed is the new skill I acquired after my evolution. I did multiple test with Cultivating Meditation and the results surprised me. A few hours of using Cultivating Meditation increased all my stats by a fair amount while also raising my level. Thanks to the combination of using Cultivating Meditation and the crystal in my body I have already reached the max level of 100. Although I have reached the max level I have yet to evolve again. I wonder why?
Now to change the topic to Luna. According to Luna she got her unique hair from her parents. She was told that her Silver hair was inherited from her mother while the purple streaks are from her father. Her mother died shortly after she was born but Luna learned a lot about her through the stories that her father often told her.
Apparently Luna¡¯s father is considered to be amongst the strongest individuals in the kingdom but even more surprising is that her mother was supposedly even better than her father. As fascinating as Luna¡¯s family was I decided to ask her more about the world.
According to Luna we were on the continent of Bures and within the continent there were six major kingdoms. The kingdom we were in was the kingdom of Detero. Detero was a kingdom that acted as a boundary between the Demonic forest and the rest of the Continent. The majority of land under the control of the Detero kingdom is actually a part of the Demonic forest.
That is why Demonic beast waves sometimes happen. Although most of the times only a few of the weak Demonic beast show up there are rare occasions in which some of the more powerful ones show up. Apparently the Luthunians that I easily slaughtered were already considered upper tier Demonic Beast. I tried asking her about the other continents and kingdoms but Luna didn''t really know much about them.
I also had Luna teach me this world¡¯s written Language. After only a day I am proud to say that I have an elementary understanding of Isen, the written language of the continent.
I came to a halt as I stared at the scene that was currently in front of me. We were headed to Luna¡¯s hometown thinking that that was the best place to start our search for her father. But the thing in front of me didn¡¯t resemble a town a single bit.
Anything that was once a building was burned down. All that remained were charred chunks that might have once been buildings and burnt bodies that might have been its inhabitants. As I looked at the scene of carnage in front of me Luna slowly climbed off my head and walked towards the wreckage. She walked until she was in front of a corpse that was much larger than the average person.
Luna: ¡°G-grandpa Blacksmith¡±
She then walked to another corpse that wore a dress.
Luna: ¡°Aunty T-tailor¡±
She then walked to a corpse that was still wearing an apron.
Luna: ¡°Mister Bakeeeer! Waaaah!¡±
Luna¡¯s previously blank face flooded with tears as she stared at what was once her home and at those who she once thought of as family. I moved my big blob of a body as fast as I could and ran to Luna.
I pulled her into my embrace as gently as I could. The hot tears trickled down her face as buried her face into my body. I could feel the heat radiating from her face as her body trembled frantically.
¡°Shhh It¡¯s okay. We are here for you. We will help you through this.¡±
I rubbed her back and patted her head as I comforted her. I spent the whole day burying the bodies and erecting graves for the unfortunate souls that had perished. No one was in the mood for dinner that night. Tibbs quietly fell asleep on his own sleeping mat but Luna clung to me the whole night.
Luna didn''t stop crying until she fell asleep in the middle of the night and but as the little angel showered me in her tears all I could think about was how much I wanted to take away her pain. What is happening to me? I have never felt like this in my past life. Could these kids be changing me? These thoughts filled my head as I slowly fell asleep.
Day 44
After a night of rest everyone was in a better mood. But even though the mood was at the point that Tibbs and Luna had their appetites back there wasn''t a lot of conversation between anyone. We walked through the forest for a few hours in silence until we finally reached a village that wasn''t completely decimated.
As we approached the village a few children armed with wooden charged at us. I picked Tibbs up and raised him above my head so that he was out of the children¡¯s attack range. As soon as they reached me all three children began their attack. I simply allowed their wooden swords to beat my body as they could do no real harm to me.
¡°Please wait a moment. I just want to sell my goods and rest for a bit. I mean no harm.¡±
The biggest child of the bunch withdrew a few steps but kept his wooden weapon aimed at me.
Child #1: ¡° How can we know that you aren¡¯t lying?¡±
I smashed the ground with one of my tentacles. I only used a small amount of my power but the impact was enough to create a crater three feet deep.
¡°Because if I wanted to harm you I could have done so easily.¡±
The biggest child finally put his sword away.
Child #1: ¡°Very well. I will allow you into the village since we are in desperate need of goods. But you better not cause any trouble.¡±
Stolen story; please report.
The biggest child seemed to be the leader as the rest of the children followed his command to allow us into the village. As we walked into the village whispers could be heard all around.
Random Villager: ¡°How could they let a monster into the village?¡±
Random Villager: ¡°Shouldn''t we just kill it?¡±
Random Villager: ¡°Someone get that Disgusting thing out of here.¡±
All of the eyes in the village were on me. Those eyes seem so familiar. Those stares are something I have long since become accustomed to. Yes those are the kind of glares used when looking at a freak. Even when I dedicated my life to saving others all I got in return were the isolating stares from others. Not that I cared. After all I did it simply because of noblesse oblige, the responsibility of nobles.
The verbal attacks became physical as the crowd began throwing stones at me. I covered Tibbs and Luna to ensure their safety.
Luna: *sobs* ¡°why do they have to b-be so mean to Slime Papa¡±
I patted Luna¡¯s head.
¡°It is okay Luna. They are just scared¡±
Tibbs: ¡°Damn bastards! Fuck them and their grandmothers! How dare they treat Master with such hostility!¡±
Tibbs constantly fought my grip trying to charge at the crowd.
¡°It is okay Tibbs. A great man is not bothered by such miner troubles.¡±
We walked until I saw a child sitting on the floor. Her blond hair had mud in different places. Her body was so thin that her bones were clearly visible from her tattered clothes and her face was clearly sunken. But what was most noticeable were her eyes. They were dull and dead without the slightest sign of life.
I approached her but it seemed that she was oblivious to my presence. I finally got close enough to pat her head. As my tentacle gently made contact with her head she finally seemed to become aware of me.
I created a Honey Fruit and handed it to her. The blank look on her face slowly turned into a slight smile as the sweet fragrance of the fruit reached tickled her nose. Her innocent smile was so heartwarming and captivating that I failed to notice that a villager had made their way towards us. The woman grabbed the fruit from the girl¡¯s han.ds and smashed it beneath her feet.
Bitch: ¡°Get the hell out of our village you disgusting frea-!¡±
Before the Bitch could finish her ranting I had thrown her at the crowd. What kind of perverted sense of justice would allow you to take the food from a starving child! After making it perfectly clear that I was not to be approached the crowd had to settle with throwing rocks from afar.
I created another Honey fruit and gave it to the girl. I stayed to ensure that the girl could eat without being bothered. After about twenty minutes the girl finished her fruit and I patted her head as we left.
It was beginning to grow dark so I decided to head towards an inn. The first floor of the inn was a restaurant so I decided to get a meal for Tibbs and Luna. Although both of them have been eating Honey Fruits I wasn''t sure that they were getting a nutritionally balanced diet so this was the perfect opportunity to let them eat something different.
The owner of the inn was relatively friendly. Or at least she was after I gave her some furs and other goods as payment for two meals and a room for the night. Tibbs Luna and I sat at a table in the corner as we waited for the meals. While we waited the soldiers at the table in front of us were talking quite loudly.
Soldier #1: ¡° Damn that bitch of a king¡±
Soldier #2: ¡°I can¡¯t believe he used the commander to save his own skin!¡±
Soldier #3: ¡°All we can do now is follow his last command. For the greatest commander to have ever lead!¡±
Soldier #1: ¡°To commander Triston!¡±
Soldier #2: ¡°To commander Triston!¡±
The soldiers all gulped down their ale with tears in their eyes. Then I noticed that Luna¡¯s face had become paler than usual.
Luna: ¡°No Papa can¡¯t be dead¡he just can¡¯t be!¡±
Luna stormed out of the inn as tears began to form. It took me a while to piece everything together but I finally understood ¡®Triston must be her father!¡¯ just as I was about to run after Luna someone barged into the inn.
Villager: ¡°Demonic Beast! Demonic Beast! There¡¯s a wave of Demonic Beast!"
Soldier #1: ¡°Dammit how is that possible. If there are more Demonic Beast then what did the commander give his life for!?¡±
Soldier #2: ¡°We have to help¡±
Soldier #3: ¡°Aye let¡¯s go¡±
The soldiers all stormed out of the inn. I grabbed Tibbs and bolted out of the inn following the soldiers. There were dozens of Luthunians across the village. There were also new creatures that resembled orangutans except that their long arms were made of fire. They appeared to be called Orangumen and they were setting the village ablaze.
I whipped my tentacles around in a flurry instantly killing a few Luthunians but the Orangumen were far more troublesome. I had to use all ten tentacles to overwhelm and pummel a single Oranguman in order to kill it. I fought Orangumen and Luthunians as I searched for Luna. Fire burned me at every direction as the sheer number of Orangumen proved to be more than I could handle.
I kept Tibbs secured within my body protecting him from any possible harm. Amongst the crackling of flames and the panic of the village I was able to pick up a trace of a familiar voice.
Luna: *sobs* ¡°Papa! I want my P-Papa!¡±
I combined all my tentacles into one large mass and swung it in a large circle blasting away all the nearby enemies. Giving just enough space to escape their entrapment and rush to Luna. I picked her up and instantly chucked her into my body where she would at least have some protection.
The Orangumen quickly regained their senses and began circling around me once again. It took everything I had to keep them at bay. My tentacles moved nonstop from one opponent to the next whipping who ever entered my range. But the Orangumen proved far superior to the Luthunians as their durability allowed them to be smashed multiple times without dying.
I was running out of breath and my tentacles grew heavy. The slower my tentacles got the closer the Orangumen came. Finally my tentacles felt like they were chained down and I could no longer resist. The Orangumen began blasting me with their arms of fire and all I could do was try my best to shield Tibbs and Luna.
I could see the terror and fear in both Tibbs¡¯s and Luna¡¯s face. Tears streamed from both their faces as they looked at me. I hid the pain and in my voice as I stared into both of their eyes.
¡°Everything will be okay. I won¡¯t let anything hurt you¡±
Just as I finished speaking a loud roar boomed through the air. I turned towards the direction of the roar to find the source. There it was. A gorilla over thirty feet tall wearing body armor and a crown made out of rock.
Above its head all I could see was ??? Then the large gorilla smashed his mighty fist into the ground. I could sense a terrifying amount of force head straight towards us and that was the last thing I felt before my mind went blank.
Authors Note: Hi guys here is another chapter. Sorry I''m a little late but I have a few things taking up my time at the moment. The bonus story will probably be up tomorrow so look forward to that. Anyways I hope you enjoy the chapter tell me what you think. See you all next time :D
Bonus Side Story: Tale of a Great Man
It has been about three days since the King¡¯s personal guards captured me. The king has unreasonably charged me with treason and although he wants nothing more than my head on a platter he has no choice but to keep me alive because he needs my strength. We have been retreating towards the capital but our pace has been majorly impacted by the constant ambushes from Demonic Beasts.
Strangely enough only the more powerful Demonic Beasts have appeared. The majority of Demonic Beasts are Luthunians but I have also seen a few Orangumen mixed in. I casually swung my sword and split the last Oranguman in half. After confirming that there weren¡¯t any more Demonic Beast in the area I called my battalion together to distribute some rations and briefly rest. Just as the dried meat was being handed out a pair of diminutive legs stepped out of the carriage that was in the center of our formation.
King Hansen strode towards me with prideful steps and a thick air of arrogance. As he stood in front of me and realized that I was still towering over him he began to smash his royal cane into my knees. For ten minutes he smashed my knees but to no avail ¡®Does he really think that he can harm my highly trained body with his feeble strength¡¯. I chuckled in my mind as his face began to turn red and the fake hair on his head began to stick to his face as he began to sweat profusely.
King Hansen: ¡°Urgh! Guards!¡±
As soon as they heard his voice the king¡¯s elite personal guards sprang to action. There was a guard at my left and right as well as another one right behind me. These guards could all be considered elites even amongst the entire army. The minimum requirement in joining the personal royal guards is being able to single-handedly defeat a C rank creature such as a Luthunian or a troll.
As the guards came close to reaching me I released a small amount of my Aura which sent the guards as well as the king flying. I walked over to where the king landed and as he laid there with dust all over his clothes I made my anger obvious in my voice.
¡°I allowed you to capture me once in order to give face to the previous king your father!¡±
I then unsheathed my sword and used it to point the king¡¯s face towards me facing him to make eye contact.
¡°But that is the last time I will show my respect to the previous king by submitting to you!¡±
I placed my sword back into the sheath on my hip and walked back to my battalion. As me and my battalion snacked on the dried meats and stale bread that was our assigned rations some of us couldn''t help but look at the other side. On the other side of the camp the other battalion was feasting on freshly cooked soups and various roasted meats all prepared by their private chefs. A large figure suddenly sat right next to me.
With his massive six foot six inch height and bronze skin bursting with muscles it was easy to recognize Vice Commander Argin. The numerous scars on his bald head and face were clear signs of his experience.
Vice Commander Argin: ¡°Ahahaha! Looks like the little Porcelain boys had their mamas send them some snackys for their itty bitty tummies!¡±
Argin¡¯s voice boomed throughout the camp. As soon as my battalion heard his words the jealousy and anger on their faces were replaced with grins as they all began to laugh. The other side of the camp however did not seem to appreciate his remarks. As the other camp turned red with anger and embarrassment the sound of swords being unsheathed could be heard. Then a lone figure stood up and made his way towards my battalion.
I easily recognized him as Henry Latican the youngest son of the Latican family. He was a supposed sword prodigy who surpassed his instructor at the age of eight. After turning twenty he joined the Tenth Battalion and instantly became the Commander.
Commander Henry: ¡°Excuse me sir Argin but may I enquire about the meaning of your words just now?¡±
Commander Henry¡¯s voice was devoid of any anger or frustration but the fair skin on his face was clearly struggling to remain passive. With his short brown hair all combed to the left side of his face combined with his deceiving smile it was easy to see that he was the son of a noble.
Vice Commander Argin: ¡°What needs enquiring? I called your lot a bunch of Porcelain boys.¡±
Commander Henry: ¡°I am sorry to say that I still don¡¯t understand. What is a Porcelain Boy.?¡±
Vice Commander Argin: ¡°Hahaha! Boy I would have thought that you and your battalion would be familiar with Porcelain considering that you¡¯ve all been eatin off it your entire lives!¡±
Following Argin¡¯s voice my battalion instantly raised the volume of their laughter and began grabbing their stomachs while Henry¡¯s battalion grew even redder.
Vice Commander Argin: ¡°Let me make it even clearer then. You and your entire battalion are like a bunch of Porcelain. Nice and pretty to look at but easier to break than a child¡¯s candy Hahahaha!¡±
Even I couldn¡¯t help but smirk at Argin¡¯s comment. Porcelain Boy was a term my battalion created to refer to those who only joined the army to make their noble families look better. The calm look on Henry¡¯s face disappeared as the smile that was once there was replaced with an expression of disgust and ridicule.
Commander Henry: ¡°Oh I am so teeeerribly soorry. I had almost forgotten that the commoners battalion was joining us on this expedition. I never meant to wag our wealth in the face of beggars.¡±
Vice Commander Argin: ¡°You shitty brat! Our name is the Twelfth Battalion!¡±
Commander Henry: ¡°Ha! Everyone knows that the Twelfth Battalion is made up entirely of commoners and military academy rejects. All the Battalions have received honored names from the king. Compared to our Silver Dragon Battalion every single one of you is disposable!¡±
Henry then quickly unsheathed his rapier and lunged towards Argin. Henry was certainly skilled with his sword. The entire action was fluid and happened in less than a second but the arrogant and smug look disappeared from Henry¡¯s face. Argin never wore armor. On the lower half of his body he only wore leather trousers and metal boots while his upper body was completely bare except for a single steel shoulder plate held in place with leather straps. Everyone was silent as all the laughter died down.
Henry¡¯s rapier struck Argin¡¯s chest head on and yet it couldn¡¯t pierce through his skin and penetrate his heart. Argin grabbed the rapier and snapped it into two using only his thumb. He then grabbed Henry¡¯s head and lifted him three feet off the ground.
Vice Commander Argin: ¡°hahaha! You shitty little brat launching a sneak attack and aiming at a vital area must mean that you yourself are prepared to die!¡±
Cracking sounds could be heard as Argin tightened his grip and blood began to flow from Henry¡¯s Face. Things were beginning to get out of hand so I finally intervened.
¡°Argin let the poor lad go. Can¡¯t you see he¡¯s already soiled his trousers?¡±
Everyone in my battalion turned their eyes towards Henry. The Brown stains on his trousers combined with the foul odor in the air caused my entire battalion to once again erupt in laughter.
Vice Commander Argin: ¡°Alright I¡¯m letting you off this time Porcelain boy. But remember this .Before I joined Triston I was known as Argin the Bear Ripper. The reason I don¡¯t use armor or weapons is because of the confidence I have in my physical might. Crushing your skull is as simple as crushing a grape.¡±
Argin then threw Henry at a tree so hard that the base of the tree exploded. I grinned at Argin as walked back to our battalion.
¡°Thanks for going easy on him¡±
He grinned right back.
Vice Commander Argin: ¡°Anything for you boss¡±
Despite my objections the king forced us to continue traveling at night. He threatened to annihilate my entire battalion with his magic unless I obliged so I had no choice but to go along with his stupidity, for now at least. A few hours after we began traveling a loud horn blasted through the silence of the night. I immediately rallied my troops together.
¡°Demon Horde! It¡¯s not a simple wave! Fortress formation!¡±
Upon hearing my orders the entire battalion instantly snapped out of confusion. All of our heavy armor units formed a wall in the front while the archers climbed the trees in search for a higher vantage point. The horns blasted through the air nonstop spreading panic throughout the forces. Thirty minutes, for thirty minutes we stood in formation with no sign of the Demonic beasts other than the loud booming of their war horns. Then we saw it. The largest amount of Demonic beast gathered in one point.
There were hundreds of thousands of Luthunians blanketing the forest. They flew in the air and marched through the land. Amongst those Luthunians were thousands of Orangumen all glowing with a fierce blaze. I was already alarmed at the sheer number of Demonic Beasts but then my heart sank. At first I thought that they were small mountains but then I noticed that they were moving. There were five Giarilla Kings marching our way.
¡®This is not good¡¯ I saw the faces of all my troops and they had lost any confidence that they had once had. In order to pull the moral back up I had to do something drastic. I jumped over my men and charged at the Horde of Demonic Beast head on. I fully activated my Battle Aura and was instantly engulfed by silver light. My Battle Aura alone was enough to turn any nearby Luthunians into ash and with each swing of my sword an Oranguman would split in half.

As I continued to slaughter the Demonic Beast I heard the sound of combat from behind me. I turned around for a brief second and was relieved to see that fierceness was once again visible on the faces of my troops. We continued battling for what felt to be an hour and yet there didn¡¯t seem to be an end in sight. The tenth battalion had already lost over half their forces. I quickly retreated to the back of the frontline and found Argin carrying a wounded soldier.
¡°Quick, what¡¯s our condition?¡±
Vice Commander Argin: ¡°We¡¯ve lost a quarter of our archers and a tenth of our Heavy Troopers. Half of our total forces are injured but are still battle ready.¡±
As I was devising a plan for our current condition the King¡¯s voice boomed through the air.
King Hansen: ¡°Silver Dragon Battalion retreat to the back and protect me! Commoners Battalion stall the enemy forces and buy me some time to activate my magic!¡±
I was doubtful at first that the king would be able to do anything but then I remembered the might of our previous ruler King Thio. The memories flashed through my mind in an instant as I remembered how the previous King would fight on the frontlines right beside his soldiers and how his magic used to turn the tide in battles that had been completely hopeless. I wanted to believe that this King would somehow grow into an amazing and honorable man like his father so I decided to put my faith in him one last time.
¡°You heard the King! Twelfth Battalion forward!¡±
With the tenth Battalion now gone from the frontlines the force of the entire horde crashed against us. We took up a completely defensive formation and took the entire brunt of the attacks. My body began to feel heavy as I swung my sword for what seemed to have been the millionth time. I looked to my side and almost all of my troops were heavily injured and yet they continued to push on just because I had told them to. More and more of my troops were cut down as the time passed. Finally the Kings voice once again boomed out.
King Hansen: ¡°I who wields the blood of ancient origin commands the magic of my ancestors. God¡¯s Barrier!¡±
A black light shot out of the king¡¯s hand and flew into the sky. The light exploded midair as ancient letters appeared in the sky. Then a black transparent barrier formed from the ground and reached all the way into the sky. The barrier was like a wall that seemed to stretch out endlessly. My body froze as I saw the king on the other side of the barrier along with the Silver Dragon Battalion. Some of my men ran up to the barrier and began to bang their fist on it.
Soldier #1: ¡°What are you doing?!¡±
Soldier #2: ¡°Let us out!¡±
Soldier #3: ¡°You can¡¯t do this!¡±
King Hansen: ¡°You should all feel honored that your lives have been used to save mine. Come let us return to the capital¡±
The King stepped back into his carriage and he led the Dragon Battalion back towards the Capital. My men quickly fell into despair and our formation broke. The Demonic Beasts rushed in and began cutting down the men one by one. They were getting slaughtered and yet they didn''t fight back, it was as if they had lost the will to live.
My heart ached and my blood felt ice cold. Was I wrong for believing that he would step up at a critical time and become like his father? Was I simply blinded by my devotion and honor for the previous King? I to began falling into despair. However I realized that I owed these men for believing in me and following my commands. The only way I could repay them was to do everything in my power to help them out of this.
¡°Everyone do not lose Hope. We are not the Commoners Battalion! We are the Peoples Battalion! Tell me, who do we fight for!?¡±
Entire Battalion: ¡°The People!¡±
¡°That¡¯s right! And as Soldiers who fight for the people how can you all lose hope!?¡±
¡± I looked around and saw some life return to my soldiers'' eyes.
¡°Hold these Beasts for a moment. I have a plan.¡±
Entire Battalion: ¡°Yes sir!¡±
There was a new fire in everyone¡¯s eyes as they fought with newfound fierceness. I retreated to the back and examined the barrier. I stabbed my sword into the ground and pushed my palms together. I used my sword to purify my Battle Aura into Sword Aura. Lines of silver light flowed into my sword and returned to my hands as golden light. After converting all of my Battle Aura into Sword Aura I stabbed my hands into the barrier. The gold light illuminated both my hands as they struggled to pierce the black barrier. Sweat ran down my face as I struggled to concentrate all of my power into piercing this barrier. My hands finally broke through and allowed me to rip an opening in the barrier.
¡°Hurry everyone retreat!¡±
All of my men were ecstatic to see an opening in the barrier. They rushed out one by one while I struggled to keep the tear open. As the Last injured soldier was carried out of the barrier I let go of both sides thus allowing the barrier to close up.
Vice Commander Argin: ¡°Boss what are you doing!?¡±
I looked out to my entire battalion.
¡°I am sorry men but it doesn''t look like I can lead you all anymore. If these Demonic Beasts are allowed to continue on their path then surely many families will perish.¡±
I turned away from my men and once again began battling the Demonic Beasts. I had used up all of my Battle Aura creating an opening in the barrier so I was forced to rely on my physical abilities and sword skills. I swung my sword once and twelve Orangumen heads were sent flying. I swung my sword again and twelve Luthunian heads went flying. I continued fighting like this.
Soldier #1: ¡± Amazing! With one swing he can kill numerous opponents¡±
Vice Commander Argin: ¡°That technique is what got him the nickname Twelve Fanged Wolf. With just one swing he can produce twelve slices.¡±
I realized that my men still stood there waiting for me beyond the barrier ¡®I am honored to have been able to lead such loyal fellows.¡¯ I roared as I continued fighting.
¡°Men I hope that you will all follow my last Command! I command you all to live full lives and to experience as much happiness as you can so that I can smile in my grave!¡±
I kept my focus on the battle but I was still able to hear the men behind pound their chests.
Entire Battalion: ¡°Yes Sir!¡±
With a smile on my face I activated my final trump card. My skin began to burn and to turn to ash revealing a body made of light pure light instead of muscle. My sword disintegrated and reformed using the same gray light as my body. After my transformation finished I charged into the heart of the Demonic Beast Horde. My speed was now on a level that was incomparable to before. I was at least fifty times faster now.
Everywhere I went I left a trail of slaughter. After Killing Hundreds of thousands of Luthunians I charged towards the Giarilla Kings who were still miles away. The Giarilla Kings were truly monstrous. Even in my current state where all my abilities were fifty times greater than before I was still forced to use my Twelve Fang Slash while focusing each slash at the base of their necks. After about a hundred slashes the Giarilla King Finally lost his head. Even from this far I could still hear their voices.
Soldier #1: ¡°This is amazing! I didn¡¯t know that the Commander was capable of Transcending! With this the commander should be able to slaughter all of the Demonic Beasts!¡±
Argin: ¡°I¡¯m afraid it isn¡¯t so simple. The fact that his original body turned to ash is a sign that he is forcing his body to perform like a God¡¯s. In the end forced transcendence always leads to the user¡¯s death. Let us go and follow our leader last command. That is the last way we can honor him.¡±
As Argin¡¯s voice disappeared I could hear him leading all the men away ¡®Thank you Argis¡¯. As I continued to battle forcing my body well beyond its limits I began to feel the Divine Energy within me slowly fade away. With three Giarilla Kings still standing I knew I didn¡¯t have enough in me to battle them all. I began to agitate the Divine Energy within my body and thought back upon my life. As the Energy within my body grew more violent and chaotic I couldn¡¯t help but think of my wife ¡®I bet you think I¡¯m a real hypocrite don¡¯t you. I hated you for leaving me and your daughter but now I am about to do the same. Is this how you felt when you forced your Transcendence? At least now we will be able to watch over Luna together.¡¯ My wife¡¯s face and Luna¡¯s embrace were the last things I thought about before a thunderous explosion and blinding white light pulled me into darkness.

Kijo rises from the dead (This isnt a chapter, more like a status update)
Hello everybody, first I would like to apologize to all the fans who followed and read my story in the past 0TL. I honestly don''t know what to say. I really planned on working on this story that I loved so much, I had no idea that I would end up disapearing on you guys for so long. I even wrote about how dedicated I was to writing this story *sigh* but I guess its just as the saying goes " man plans and God laughs". Anyways, I don''t want to bore anyone with the details of what happened to me to cause a nearly 2 year disapearance but the simple version is that a few things popped up that forced me to move 600 miles from a small town near Riverside all the way to the Bay area. Now that the boring stuff is out of the way its time to talk about what people really want to know, the story! First off: yes, I plan on continuing the story, second of all: I want to say that I will try to post a new chapter every 2 weeks but I have learned my lesson and won''t even try to guarantee that lol. All I can say is that I will try to be consistent but expect random fluctuations. 3rd and last point: I am changing some things in the story but those changes manly invlolve changing the base of this story. If anyone remembers when this story first came out I had written in the description that it was a fanfiction. But as I wrote the story and developed the plot in my mind I realised that this story doesn''t really involve the other story at all. It would be closer to say that it was slightly inspiredby the story than to say that it is a fan fiction seeing as it takes place in a completely different universe and doesn''t involve the other characters. So I will be changing my writing just a little bit as the story continues. And that is it for my update.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Chapter 8: A bad day
The feeling of cold wind blowing over the top half of my body jolted my mind awake. As I struggled to open my eyes I could feel a sore pain pulsing in my body but strangely a soothing heat started flowing through me. I opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was that everything below my waist was still being protected by Master. I also found out that a gentle red light was being transferred from Master to my body, and the light seemed to be what was healing me.Suddenly I began panicking because as I saw that Master was shrinking at a incredibly fast rate
Tibbs: "Master!! Master what¡¯s wrong!!?"
It might have been the rudest way for a student to speak to his master but my mind was to busy worrying about master to even think about that. I jumped to my feet as fast as I could but by the time I could do anything there was nothing left of Master except for the red crystal that he kept in his body. My Body trembled as it started heating up again. But this heat was different to the previous heat I felt. Compared to the kind and soothing light that Master used to heal me, this heat was painful and intense. This uncontrollable heat was eating me from the inside, like I had swallowed a raging fire and allowed it to burn in the center of my gut.
I just stood there in the middle of the forest until, as though I were struck by a hammer, the realization of just what happened shook me to my core. After the initial shock tears began leaking from my eyes. At first the tears came as loose drops, but quickly became a steady stream. Compared to the burning heat raging in my stomach the tears pouring out felt ice cold. Each bone chilling tear felt like they weighed a thousand pounds, I felt as though the ground was shaking with each tear that dropped from my face.
With my body suffering two contradicting agonies I finally regained some sense of control. It seemed like the weight of the sky rested on my shoulders as I dropped to my knees with the heaviest feeling. My hands trembled as I reached out towards Master''s crystal.
Tibbs: "M-Mast-Master, Oh Master!!!!"
''You stupid useless fool!!'' I thought to myself. Thinking back to the time I spent with Master it was always me depending on him. From the first time I met Master where he saved me from the Luthunian and fed me, and all the time he spent training me till now. It was always me relying on the Master''s kindness, it was me who constantly took from him without being able to give anything back. Even in my last moments with Master I depended on him to protect me and heal me.
I hated myself for being so weak. I hated myself for not being able to do anything for the person who showed me the most kindness I had experienced in my entire life, for the one person who wanted to take me under his wing and guide me. I couldn''t do a single thing but watch him as he continued to help me without asking for anything in return, for the closest thing I had ever had to family I was too weak to take even little of his troubles away.I picked up the crystal with my trembling hands as my tears dropped onto it.
Tibbs: "Master, I''m so sorry. I''m so sorry for being a useless student, for being a useless waste of a student that sent his Master to his death"
I was about to lose myself to my sadness when I suddenly realized that the crystal was emitting heat. It was very faint but the warmth was definitely there.
Tibbs: "This must be a sign that Master can still be saved!"
The tears stopped as I resolved to do anything it takes to fix Master. ''Where¡¯s the tree?'' I asked. Thinking about it Master probably split his body to protect me and Luna. If the crystal is with me then the tree is probably with Luna. I don''t know if reuniting the tree with the crystal will heal master but I don''t have any other clues to go by.After calming down and coming up with a plan for what to do for now I felt like my entire mind and body was refreshed and filled energy. ''Master is counting on me right now, I can''t let him down'' In my head I was the only one who could support Master in his current time of need. I raised my chest with confidence at the thought of being the pillar that Master was leaning on.
Tibbs: "Hmph, It''s only natural for a student to help his master. Not like that Luna can do anything, she might have crazy strength but what good does it do if she''s just a bumbling crybaby"
I took another look around me and I was shocked that the town where Master I originally were was nowhere to be seen. The impact must have blown us more than a few miles away. For now I should try to find Master''s tree (and Luna). The green forest was strangely quiet and there were trees uprooted and tossed around all over. I just hope Luna can at least take care of Master''s tree for a few days. I looked at the sky ''looking at how the sun has barely risen its most likely still early in the morning, I''m just not sure how long I''ve been knocked out for'' just as I was thinking about how long it might have been since the town was attacked I heard some rustling from afar. I cautiously took cover in a bush and waited to see what it was.The first figure emerged, it was just an injured goblin whose right arm was missing every thing below the elbow. You could see the bone sticking out from the wound. The second goblin was in better shape than the first one. It looked like it didn''t have a scratch on him and it was an inch taller with a little more muscle.Reading on this site? This novel is published elsewhere. I was going to just let these goblins pass me but then I saw her. The same mud and dirt covered blonde hair, skinny underfed body, but unlike before her eyes shined with life. The girl was tied up with rope and was being dragged by the second goblin. No matter how much she struggled and yelled there was no response from the goblins.''if I don''t do anything there''s no way she can get away from those goblins'' They might be one of the weakest creatures but for an ordinary little girl its impossible for her to handle them, even rookie adventurers would have a little trouble dealing with two. ''One is heavily injured and doesn''t have a weapon, the second one is in good condition and has a dagger roughly made from what looks like a large fang'' I analyzed the goblins and weighed my chances against them. As for whether or not I would jump into action to save the girl there wasn''t even a trace of doubt. If Master did something for the girl then as his student it was only right that I do the same.I had been practicing the techniques that Master taught me as well as occasionally sparring with hime. After deciding that I had at least a seventy percent chance to beat the goblins I waited for just the right time to act.
Right as the first goblin passed me I rushed out of the bush and charged right at the injured goblin. Pull my fist from beside my waist, launch my arm forward while rotating my fist, and explosively turn my hips. I executed the straight thrust as Master taught me, the punch that I had practiced over a thousand times will be put to the test for the first time.Everything happened so fast, I felt a solid impact from my middle knuckle and the goblins temple. The goblin fell and stopped moving but I didn''t have a chance to check if it I had killed it because the second goblin went straight for me. He dropped the rope he was using to drag the girl and stabbed his dagger at my chest.I jumped back to avoid his thrust and yelled at the girl.
Tibbs: "Hurry up and run!!"
The girl seemed to hesitate for a second but then got to her feet and ran into the forest. The sturdy goblin seeming to have realized his mistake tried to catch the girl. But right as he was turning around to run towards her I threw another punch. The goblin sensed my attack coming and managed to react just enough to make fist land on his shoulder instead of the middle of his spine. The goblin howled furiously
Sturdy Goblin: "Raaaaaa!!! You make Darg lose sleepsleep toy! Darg no like boy humans but Darg make you new sleepsleep toy"
The Goblin then licked his lips and laughed crazily
Darg: "hahahaha! Darg sleepsleep till you break"
He then rushed towards me while swinging his dagger crazily. I jumped back, side stepped, ducked and weaved, I used all the movement techniques Master taught me but the goblin still landed a few attacks.
Whenever I would see an opening I would try to hit him with my straight thrust. At first I still managed to land a few but as time went on the goblin was getting more and more familiar with my punch. Less and less of my attacks managed to connect as the goblin dodged and blocked. Then as I was sending a punch towards the goblins chest he actually stabbed his dagger down.
The dagger went past the outside of my fore arm tearing out a chunk of flesh. "Agh!" I yelled out in pain as I jumped back. ''This is bad'' I thought to myself ''good thing his dagger was a little off or he would have impaled my arm, but this is bad. He already has the timing of my attacks down'' I was covered in cuts all over my body and the fatigue was finally showing, I doubt I could last more than a few more minutes. I need to finish this quick, I need to gamble it all on one chance. I threw another punch at the goblin and just as expected he stabbed his dagger down again. But this time I knew it was coming so I didn''t put in any power to my punch so it was easy to pull my arm and side step.
The goblin never expected me to throw a feint so his dagger went straight down and before he could fix his stance my fist hit the side of his jaw and knocked him down. He tried to get back up but I sent another full power punch that hit him in the center of his face. A new found strength was unleashed in my body as instincts took over. I jumped on top of the goblin and started pounding his face with my fist. Left, right, left, right.left, right, I don''t know how long it was but I lost myself as I kept on hammering the goblins face.At first I could hear something in the background "Please stop, Darg sorry! Darg no want die!" but it started getting quieter "Please.... Darg be good now" until there wasn''t much noise left "uhh... so much.... hurt...."
Even after the noises stopped and all I could hear was the rhythmic hammering of soft flesh and the splattering of blood my body wouldn''t stop moving. I felt like I would have kept on going forever but my as my right hand was on its way down it stopped mid swing.
Unknown Voice: " Whoa slugger, take it easy. You got him."
I turned my head and found the owner of the mellow voice. A kidonly five or six years older than me was grabbing my wrist. He had a healthy looking build, not overly muscular but obviously no stranger to physical work. His complexion told you that if he stayed in the sun too long he would get a sunburn rather than a tan. His medium length hair almost covering his gentle looking eyes.Hearing his gentle voice and seeing his kind appearance I regained my senses. The sensation of pounding the mushy flesh of the goblin''s broken head replayed in my mind and I couldn''t shake it off. The feeling of cracking the goblin''s skull and turning his brain into a smear on the ground lingered in my hands, as if I was still in the act of beating his dead head.
I looked back at the goblin and felt the contents of my stomach move up as I vomited on the on the goblin. Seeing the bits of goblin skull and brain mix with my vomit mad it even worse. The older kidlet go of my wrist as I fell to the side and began to vomit even more.I was on my knees and forearms vomiting and crying. All the sensations I had blocked out came rushing all at once. The goblins pitiful voice as he begged for mercy, the sound of his skull and flesh being broken, the dull thud of pounding his disfigured face. The physical sensation of smashing the goblin lingered and wouldn''t disappear.
This isn''t how it was suppose to be. My first kill wasn''t suppose to be like this.
Chapter 9: Unexpected help
I threw up everything in my stomach but the urge to vomit wouldn''t go away, it felt like my body wasn''t trying to dispel the food in my stomache but the memory and sensations of taking my first life. My breathing was heavy and irregular, snot and tears ran down my face and my breath felt scorching hot as it passed my lips. I started slamming my fist against my chest in frustration.
Tibbs: "Stop crying! Stop acting pathetic! whats wrong with you!?"
Even if it was the smallest amount, only enough to beat weak goblins, I had finally obtained the strength that I seeked for so long. So why does it feel like this? I should be overjoyed, I should be celebrating. I thought that being weak and letting others hold your life in their hands was the worst feeling possible, but now I think it feels worse being the one in control of the life of others. The kid with the mellow voice walked over and grabbed my arm again.
Mellow voice: "Hey come on now. First the goblin and now your chest, don''t you feel sorry for your hand?"
I looked back at his smiling face but my frustration just grew deeper.
Tibbs: "let go of me, I need to beat the weakness away! I can''t stand it!"
I tried to pull my arm away but I couldn''t.
Mellow voice: "Whoa kid I''m right here there''s no need to shout, you keep that up and you''ll lose your voice. I swear to Oden some people just throw all caution to the wind. Teaching a kid to kill without even checking to see if he''s ready, real bright idea."
He mumbled the last parts but my ears still picked them up. I used the arm that he was holding to pull myself up while punching at him with my arm that was free. My hoarse voice slowly flowed with my anger.
Tibbs: "Don''t talk about my Master. You Don''t know anything."
He turned his head and easily dodged my punch.
Mellow voice: "Well at least you''re not shouting. Listen kid I don''t think I said anything wrong. You might think your master is some great guy but it doesn''t change the fact that he''s just irresponsible and he doesn''t have any business teaching"
Tibbs: "You''re wrong. Master isn''t irresponsible, he always watched over me and took care of me."
Mellow voice: "Oh yeah? Does teaching you to kill for no reason count as taking care of you? Turning a kid into a murderer is a great way to take care of him. He must be a blood thirsty monster that gets his kicks out of turning innocent children into psychos like him."
The more he spoke the more upset I became. This guy is just like the villagers, why does everyone think of Master as a monster? They judge him without even trying to understand him.
Tibbs: "Shut up! You''re Wrong! Master never wanted to turn me into a murderer!"
Mellow voice: " Back to shouting huh? Then why did he teach you to kill!? If he didn''t want to make you into a murderer tell me why he taught to how to take a life away!!"
His eyes changed from gentle to intense as the kid shouted for the first time, breaking his kind image.
Tibbs: " He didn''t teach me to kill he taught me how to protect myself! He didn''t teach me to take the lives of others but how to save mine!"
The guys eyes and face relaxed, his demeanor and voice returned to being gentle.
Mellow voice: "Looks like you finally get it. So if your master didn''t teach you with the intentions of making you into a murderer why are you still treating yourself like one?"
The kid took out a rag from his bag as he wiped the blood from my face.
Mellow voice: "Unfortunately in our world it is impossible to avoid destroying life as long as your living. It doesn''t matter if its killing plants to make medicine, or killing others for their resources, you are killing some lives while prioritizing others. We all take lives but that doesn''t make us all monsters. In my eyes it is those who extinguish life on a whim without a care in the world, without rhyme or reason, who are truly monsters. As long as you still feel the weight of the life you have taken while acting only to preserve yourself you have yet to become a monster."
After a few minutes he finished applying some ointment to the cuts all over my body and wrapping some bandages. He then pulled out an extra set of clothes from his bag and gave it to me.
Mellow voice: "Sorry if they don''t fit that well. I wasn''t exactly planning on encountering this kind of situation hehe"
The clothes he gave me were a tunic and pants made from rough cloth. They were a few inches too long and baggy, I really wish I had the muscles to fill these clothes out. As I was looking at myself and trying to slyly feel my chest and biceps the kid spoke again. You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.
Mellow voice: "Haha don''t worry about it your body will fill out as you get older. You can call me Maleek by the way. Since I gave you a name you can use to call me, I think it''s only fair that you do the same."
Normally I wouldn''t even bother with a stranger but something about him just felt so reassuring, so familiar.
Tibbs: "My name is Tibbs. Thank you Maleek for helping me sort out my feelings just now."
I lowered my head and did a slight bow.
Maleek: "I''m not the one you should be thanking"
Maleek smiled and then did a special whistle that sounded close to a bird song, shortly after the sounds of rushed footsteps got louder as a figure approached. The dirty underfed blonde girl came running towards us but now she wasn''t tied with any ropes. As soon as she saw me she smiled, the charm behind her cute and warm smile couldn''t be hidden behind the grime that covered her. Before I knew it I was smiling back, watching as she approached.
Maleek: "This little lady over here is the real hero"
Maleek patted the girl''s hair and ruffled it a bit. I walked over to the girl to introduce myself.
Tibbs: "My name is Tibbs. I would like to thank you for looking for assistance."
The girl just shook her head and waved her arms seemingly to tell me that there was no need to thank her.
Tibbs: "If it''s not too much trouble I would like to ask for you''re name so I could thank you properly."
The girl looked at me with a troubled expression.
Maleek: "I think something may have happened to her. She doesn''t seem to be able to speak. When she found me she pretty much just made a few sounds and pulled me towards here."
The girl smiled as she nodded her head. Well at least it seems that she has no problems understanding us.
I sat on a stump across from the girl while Maleek went out gathering. The silence began to feel awkward so I tried to start a conversation as sign of friendliness.
Tibbs: "So you''re the girl from the village right? Do you remember me?"
The girl nodded her head and drew a crude picture of a blob, a boy,a girl and a....fruit? Anyways I guess she does remember.
Tibbs: "So did you always live in the village?"
The girl nodded her head again. After a few more questions I realized the problem in our conversation. I forgot about the fact that she can''t speak so her only responses are nodding and shaking her head along with body movements. Otherwise it was only me talking ''crap what if she thinks that I''m some sort of egotistical guy that''s in love with the sound of my voice?'' Just as I was getting embarrassed about being such a loud mouth Maleek came back. Maleek came back carrying some wood in his arms which he set and set on fire. He then pulled out and some plants from his bag. He filled the pot with some water and put it over the fire using a makeshift stand. After the water began to boil he put the plants into the pot and began to stir it.
Maleek: "So I understand the girls situation. She evacuated the village along side everyone else after the first demonic creature was spotted. Afterwards she got separated from everyone else and got captured by the goblins."
He took a sip from the ladle after giving it a soft blow.
Maleek: "But How did you survive the Demonic beast invasion?"
I turned to him and said.
Tibbs: "Maybe I escaped just like her"
But he quickly dismissed me.
Maleek: "Nope"
Tibbs: "How do you know?"
Maleek: "I helped with the evacuation and I didn''t see you"
Tibbs: "There were a lot of people and the situation was pretty chaotic. You could''ve just missed me"
I got the same care free answer
Maleek: "Nope"
Tibbs: "Are you sure?"
Maleek: "Yup, I remember all the faces of the people that managed to escape. Besides, all the survivors have already began immigrating to the nearest major village."
He seems like a person with good character, and I don''t think a evil person would put themselves in harms way to help others escape in a dangerous situation. I shrugged my shoulders.
Tibbs: "You got me. I didn''t escape with the rest of the villagers. My master was protecting me and a girl but we somehow got separated"
Maleek: "I see. Well your hands are gonna take a few days to fully heal and I wouldn''t recommend forcing anything unless you want to cause some permanent damage. So what are your plans for now?"
I looked at my bandaged hands and thought about it for a bit.
Tibbs: "I really need to find my master...... and the girl. The sooner the better. How about you? Now that the evacuation is done what are you planning on doing?"
Maleek took out a bag of seasonings and put a few pinches into the pot while stirring it.
Maleek: "I guess were in similar situations. I just so happen to be looking for some people as well, my friends were helping out with the evacuation to but we had to split up to deal with a few packs of monsters."
I looked at him with some suspicions. Sure he''s in pretty good shape but other than the bag and the cloak there is nothing on him. How could he deal with a group of monsters?
Maleek: "Seeing as we have similar goals why don''t we work together. Safety in numbers as they say."
I had no reason to trust him, there are too many unknown variables. But his presence seems so familiar it''s not like talking with a stranger.
Tibbs: "I don''t see a problem in working together. But we need to hurry. Every second counts."
Maleek: "Well I guess that settles that. How bout you little lady? Want to keep us company for a bit?"
He turned to the girl and asked her, she nodded her head in agreement.
Tibbs: "Since we''ve all made our choice lets hit the road."
I got up from the stump and was about to walk off but Maleek stopped me and handed me a cup filled with the liquid concoction from the pot.
Maleek: "Calm down, your body has got to be feeling the drain from that battle still. We can take a quick rest first. Here drink this"
I took the cup and smelled it, it wasn''t bad, it was actually kind of pleasant. I finally decided to trust him and drink it. It was sweet but thick and coarse. It was closer to oatmeal than an actual liquid.
Tibbs: "What is this?"
Maleek: "Just some boiled Gil root. Commonly referred to as Bards breakfast. It''s suppose to help their voice recover after straining it the night before."
He gave a cup filled with Bards breakfast to the girl, then he turned and looked at me. He started mockingly punching his chest.
Maleek: "Oh the weakness! please go away! Hahahahaha!"
My cheeks and my ears felt hot to the touch ''I hope we find master soon''
