《The World is My Playground》 Chapter 1 : The Summoning David - Ugh, i''m so boooored. It''s only two weeks into summer vacation and there''s nothing to do. I really don''t wanna start on the summer homework, what were these teachers thinking, Summer work from English, Biology, History, and TOK, jesus. As i''m saying this, my father enters my room asking me to come downstairs to the living room, apparently he wants to tell the family something important. Father - I have great news, i just bought us all cruise tickets to the Caribbean, isn''t that exciting!? David - Holy shit, seriously, isn''t that expensive for all six of us? Father - Well one of my coworkers knows a few people that work with the cruise line and got me a real good deal so i bought them, we will head over to the port tomorrow, so you better start packing your stuff, After my father told us that, we all immediately went to start packing our things. I''m a total nerd for tech, so i pack away my PSVita, my 3DS, my two laptops, my phone, and all the chargers that go along with them. I also pack along some clothes like some t-shirts and button up shirts, jeans, shorts, and maybe a vest or two, incase i find anyone i might wanna woo, hehe.That night, we all went to bed early since we would need to be up early to get to the port that the cruise ship was at o n time. The next day In the morning, i get up and get myself ready for the trip. I took a shower and brushed my teeth and then checked my hair. I guess you could say i had somewhat long hair, it was reaching around shoulder length,maybe a little more, and it was a dark brown, almost black color. As i checked myself in the mirror, i noticed how my tan was starting to fade, i really need to get some more sun, i''m Mexican for crying out loud, I''m starting to look as white as my older sister¡¯s husband. I brushed my hair, and put on some shorts and a t-shirt and met up with the rest of my family down stairs i. The kitchen for breakfast. We had eggs with bacon and toast with some orange juice and then we were off on to the road to make it to our cruise. As we drove for around five hours to reach Miami, i had fallen asleep to which my little sister took advantage of and started placing small wads of paper into my nose. It wasn''t until both my nostrils were somewhat full of paper that i woke up to a sneezing fit. I yelled at her for a bit till my mother started to tell me to knock it off to which i did since i didn''t want her to get me with her iron grip the next time we get out of the car. My but still hurts every time i remember the last time she punished me for something bad i did. Stolen story; please report. We finally got to the cruise ship after five grueling hours of driving and checked in. Turned out the tickets my dad bought were first class, so we got some really nice looking rooms. There was a 4K curved tv, a king size bed, a master sized bathroom and and a balcony for each room. It was awesome to stand stand on the balcony when the ship finally started moving out to sea and in the direction of the Caribbean. At sea The weather was nice out at sea. Calm blue waves around the boat, a nice cool breeze, and the sun shining right above us to which i laid under to regain my tan. I could already see a few girls eyeing me from agar. I bet it''s because of my long wavy hair, I''ve always been complemented by girls about my hair, and strangely my nails too. Apparently they were the type of nails girls wanted. They were strong, slim, and very shiny even though i never put anything on them, huh, weird. After a few days, it started getting strangely chilly outside. It got to the point that i had to wear a sweater and jeans while i was out of my room. I went around looking at things. I went to the game room and played some games with some of the other kids on the ship. I went to the dining room and grabbed some food whenever i was hungry. It was pretty fun being on the ship. When i got bored i would just out on the balcony and sit on a reclined chair with all my tech while connected to the ship''s wifi. I was just playing some games when all of a sudden a storm comes out of nowhere. The storm clouds just appeared right above us and started thundering really loudly. I could feel my whole body vibrate from the sheer force of the thunder booming through the sky. As i was trying to go back into my room from the balcony, i saw an enormous wave coming straight at us, or to my perspective, AT ME! before i could even do anything i was slammed into the wall of the balcony right next to the door to enter my room and knocked out cold. As i was losing consciousness, i could have sworn that i saw the water glowing and making a swirling pattern right where i was gonna fall into. Oh well, whatever happens happens, I''ll deal with whatever if i ever wake up from that hit i just took. Chapter 2 : New Class I feel water splashing on me as i''m starting to wake up. I slowly get up and put a hand up against my head. David - Fuck me, my head hurts like hell. After my headache goes away, start looking around at where i am. As i look around, i notice that my vision was really blurry. Damn, i must have lost my contacts when i hit the water. Where are my glasses. I start rummaging through my pocket for the glasses that i always carry around with me when i don¡¯t feel like putting my contacts on. After putting on my glasses, I look around at where i am. It looks like i''m on a beach of some island. The sand was so white, that the light that was reflecting off of it was hurting my eyes and after the beach was the greenest jungle i had ever seen. I could barely look 10 feet into the jungle before my vision was blocked by trees and other plants. From what i could tell, the jungle had lots of palm trees, and bushes, but also other trees that looked familiar to oaks but they were red and had some weird fruits. They were purple with red spots, and were hanging in groups of 4-6 from the branches. David - What the fuck? I¡¯ve never seen this kind of fruit, let alone this kind of tree. Where the heck am i? As i''m looking around my surroundings, i finally notice something bothering my arm, more specifically, my wrist. As i look down at my wrist, i see a strange red gem about the size of a quarter. It was kinda dull colored, but what caused me to start freaking out even more was that when i tried to take it off, it wouldn¡¯t budge. David- What the fuck, what is this thing?! Why can¡¯t i take it off?! While i¡¯m trying to take the gem off, i can feel it tugging on the muscles and tissue of my arm. David - What the hell man, why is this thing inside my arm?! After tugging on the gem embedded into my arm, i stop and try to calm myself. David - Ok. So im on who knows what island in the middle of who knows where with whatever the heck those plants are, with a freaking gem in my arm, how could this get any worse. I wanna slap myself after saying that. As i calmed down and started concentrating on figuring out what this gem was, the gem started glowing. Out of nowhere, a blue pop up screen appears out of the gem. David - Really, what is this, an RPG game?

Humans, Elves, Beastmen, Dragons, Draconians, Merpeople, the Undead, celestials, elemental spirits, Demons, and countless types of monsters.
Every race including the monsters have a territory under their control or influence. The Humans, Merpeople, Demons and the Undead have their empires. The Celestials have their people living on floating islands in the sky, while the elemental spirits, and monsters live spread out through the forest and jungles of this world. Oh, and the Dragons and Draconians live in the same territory as well.
David - Ok, so that definitely tells me i''m in another world, but what about these gods you were talking about? Why was i summoned to this world?
The gods of this world are the ones who are in charge of keeping a balance in this world''s fight of good vs evil. There has been constant war between all the races and for centuries the gods have tried to stop this. But it has now come to a point where the gods have finally stopped caring about the people of their world and have decided to just let it be.
David - Ok, but that doesn¡¯t explain why i¡¯m here now does it.

David - Sorry
So as i was saying, the gods finally have given up on this world and its inhabitants and have decided that they would abandon it. But before that, they have decided to randomly summon one lucky soul from another universe to come to this world and mess around with it like their own playground.
The lucky summoned would get their very own super awesome, very intelligent, artificial intelligence to guide them around the world as well as a one of a kind evolution system that will allow the summoned to gain power through every battle they fight or basically anything they do really, and get one unique class advantage over everyone else who lives in this world.

Seeing that i have been given full permission to do what i want in this world without the gods smiting me, and given the description and abilities of my new class, i might as well look for monsters to tame. David - Hey Mira, are there any specifications on what kind of monsters i can tame, or can i just tame any monster i want? Mira - I think you can tame any monster as long as you can gain its trust. Just don¡¯t piss it off and make it kill you. As a Monster Tamer, you have a natural aura that will allow you to approach monsters and try to communicate with them. For now, you can approach low level monsters without them automatically killing you, but you can communicate telepathically with any monster of any level. So while you¡¯re being killed by one should you happen to piss a monster off or encounter a higher level monster, you can hear what their thinking while eating you. lol David - Uh huh, well thats nice. So basically i can can to any monster, but for now i can only safely approach low level monsters to figure out how i can gain their trust and make them an ally right? Mira - Yep. David - Cool, i think i can do that. So¡­..where are we? Mira - We are currently on an island off the coast of the mainland where many of the major races live. David - Does anyone control this island? Mira - This island is currently under monster influence, and has not been discovered by any of the major races from the mainland, so if you were to, i don¡¯t know, take it over, no one would know, and you could have your very own island to use as your first base of operations, don¡¯t ya think? David - That sounds like a plan, but if i''m gonna be taking over this island, i''m gonna need some firepower, you know where i could go to find some low level creatures? Mira - Your best bet would be to stay near the edge of the jungle so you can avoid the higher level monsters, and look for some jungle wolves or horned rabbits. Though be careful, even though those are the weakest of the animals on this island, even the horned rabbits can kill you with how weak you are right now. After chatting with Mira, i begin my search for any jungle wolves or horned rabbits that i can tame. As i walked through the jungle, Mira explained to me what both of these monsters looked like. Horned rabbits looks like rabbits from back home, except they have a greyish horn on their forehead that can pierce through low quality leather armour when they use their headbutt ability. Jungle wolves are wolves with brown fur and leaves growing around them that act as armour. It may not seem like it, but their leaf armour can protect them from basic arrows without getting even a scratch on them. Apparently each had a variant type as well. For horned rabbits, there were the Ruby horned rabbits whose horns could pierce through solid steel armour, and the Jungle Vine wolves, who look kinda like regular Jungle Wolves only that they have more leaves surrounding them and can summon vines from the ground to ensnare and trap their targets so they can tear them to shreds. David - Those monsters sound really cool and really scary. I really hope i don¡¯t find a high level one that¡¯s hungry. ??? - Someone¡­.help me! David - What the fuck?! I thought you said this island was under the influence of monsters! Why do i hear a kid around here. I start running towards the source of the cries for help when Mira responds : Mira - Wait, be careful, that wasn¡¯t a human cry, that''s a monster that''s crying for help, remember that you can mentally translate everything monsters say. Before i fully comprehend what Mira just told me, i trip on a root and start tumbling forward into a couple of bushes and out into a small clearing.

David - Ow, well that hurt. I get up and rub my head and feel something wet in my hand, i couldn''t possibly be bleeding just from that fall could I? As i check my hand, i find it covered in blood and i jump because not only is my hand covered in blood, i noticed that there was blood and torn limbs all over the clearing. David - What the hell happened here? It looks like a freaking massacre happened here. All around me i see torn rabbit bodies and horns and some weird purplish black substance scattered throughout the clearing. ??? - Help me...please! David - Where are ya little buddy? Hold on, i''ll be right there. I quickly start looking for the source of the cries for help when i see a small bush rustling slightly. I approach it carefully and pull back the leave to find an injured horned rabbit with a pretty bad cut on the side of its leg. As i observed it more, i unconsciously wanted to know a bit more about the creature when a pop up appeared.

After chewing on the plant for a few seconds, it turned into a paste that i placed onto the wound the ruby horned rabbit had and watched as i saw that the bleeding effect that was on it immediately go away and it''s hp stop dropping. David - There ya go little buddy, that should stop the bleeding. (RHR = Ruby Horned Rabbit) RHR - Thank you sir. David - No problem. Mira - Ask it what happened here. David - What happened here, why does it look like a massacre took place here. RHR - It was the corrupted ones. They came from the hidden dungeon on this island. They looked like dark purple slimes. They attached themselves to the others of my pack, and changed them. Their fur changed from their original brown to a hideous purple with some type of sludge coming off of it, and their horns became a glowing purple and became even sharper than normally. Any thing they killed that wasn''t completely torn apart became another one of them. My whole pack is gone. I''m all alone now. I couldn''t bare to watch the poor thing cry. I gently picked up it up and said: David - There there, don¡¯t cry. If you don¡¯t wanna feel alone, why not come along with me. If you do, i''ll promise to do anything i can to help you avenge your pack. What do ya say? RHB - *wimpers* You really mean that? You¡¯ll help me fight the corrupt ones. David - Yep, just follow me, and i promise that we will get stronger and beat the ever living crap out of those nasty things! RHB - Then i swear that from now on, i will fight by your side master. As it said that, the little things forehead began to glow, and from there appeared a mark on it and then a pop up appeared before me.

After walking for maybe a minute, i found the berries that she was talking about. They looked like normal blueberries so i took a couple and shoved them into my mouth. They tasted just as sweet as blueberries which only caused me to eat even more of them. Ruby - Ahem¡­. David - Oh, sorry, hehe. Here ya go. I grab a few berries and hand feed them to Ruby while she is still nestled in my arm. After we snacked on the blueberries, i took some leaves and vines and crudely crafted a four small pouches to which i filled with as many blueberries as i could.

David - Oh, well that was helpful. So Ruby, about these ¡°Corrupted ones¡±, what are they? Ruby - I don¡¯t really know myself master. They just suddenly appeared from a hidden dungeon and caused a panic throughout the monster community. David - Monster community? The heck is that? Ruby - The monster community is an alliance of monsters that have agreed to join forces to fight against the corrupted ones as well as any other monsters that may want to do us harm. David - So there are different monsters working together to stay alive from stronger monsters? Sounds legit. Ruby - Yes, but recently there has been infighting within the alliance. The different monsters have been fighting over how to handle the corrupted ones and this has led to everyone fighting each other instead of the true enemy. The jungle wolves have been extremely problematic at the moment. They have been demanding that the alliance simply charge into the dungeon and kill whatever it is that is causing all of this to happen. David - Well why doesn¡¯t the alliance follow with that plan? Ruby - The alliance is hesitant with following with the jungle wolve¡¯s plan because the corrupted already outnumber us 2 to 1 just by what we can see, and who know how many more of them are in their dungeon. David - That is a problem. About how many are in this alliance. Ruby - The alliance is currently made up of around 80 Horned Rabbits, 55 Jungle Wolves, and 35 Vine Serpents. David - So that makes it around 170, and if there¡¯s a difference of 2 to 1, then that makes the enemy number at around 340 plus however many are hidden in the dungeon. Mira - Might i make a recommendation for a plan of action? David - Sure, whatcha got for us Mira? Mira - Seeing as your goal is to take over this world, you could begin taming more monsters to get stronger and then use that strength to have the Monster Alliance become a part of your monster army. After you strengthen your army by gaining more monsters and using your abilities to evolve them, you should be strong enough to beat the corrupted and then take over this island for yourself. David - Hmm, sounds like a good plan to me. Let''s go hunt us some monsters. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 5 coming out later today Chapter 5 : First Fight I said i was gonna post another chapter today didn''t I? lol ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With a goal in mind to tame as many monsters as i can, we set off deeper into the jungle to find them. As we walked, i started trying my new skills on different things like trees and rocks. David - Hey Mira, how do i activate the skills like the shape shifting one? Mira - Just think about it and it will happen. David - Ok. *Shape shift - Ruby Horn* Oh fuck that felt weird. Right as i thought about a ruby horn appearing on my forehead, i could feel the skin and muscle slowly peeling back from my skull to make room for a horn that began protruding from my skull. It felt weird but there was no pain, only an uneasy feeling of knowing that your skin and muscle were doing something they shouldn''t normally be doing. The change happened in around 10 seconds, leaving me with a 6in long Ruby Horn sticking out of my forehead. David - This is awesome, haha. Ruby - Master¡¯s horn looks just like mine, try smashing stuff with it, its fun. David - Sounds like it would, let''s try it out with the other ability i gained. Lets try headbutt on that tree over there. I stand about 5 feet away from a large tree. I¡¯d say it was about 15 feet tall, and about 2 feet thick. Here goes nothing. *Headbutt* Right after i thought about the skill, i immediately felt myself receive a burst of energy and rammed my head straight into the tree in front of me BAM! I smashed right through the tree, knocking it and the tree behind it down. David - Holy crap, i did all that!? I didn''t even feel a thing when i went through them. Mira - That''s thanks to headbutt. The ability causes you to feel no pain from any impact you make for the first few seconds. David - That''s a neat feature. Should come in handy when i have to hit something really hard, haha. After knocking down a few more trees and collecting any fruits that were on them, we continued looking for more monsters to tame. While we were walking a took some long sturdy looking sticks and took some sharp rocks that i got from breaking some small boulders and tied them together with some vines to make a couple spears. I also made a harness to hold the spears so that i don¡¯t have to always carry them around in my hands so that i can use them to grab other things.

Ruby jumps right in front of me and uses headbutt to start attacking the jungle wolf. Her horn pierces it in the throat causing it to splurt out a disgusting looking purplish black liquid. I would have thought that would have killed it, but instead, it just swung its neck and threw Ruby into a tree. Right as it was going to continue its attack on her, i charged right in with my spear. David - RAAAAAA, TAKE THIS YOU STUPID FUCK! Before the wolf notice, my spear had gone straight through its eye and i could feel it pierce it. It felt like sticking a spoon through a cup of jello. I keep putting as much force as i can into the spear until it finally breaks leaving the tip in his eye socket. The spear breaking caused me to step back and take a misstep. The wolf immediately took advantage of this and charged straight for me. He latched onto my leg and started biting down on it. David - Ugh! SON OF A BITCH THAT FUCKING HURTS YOU FUCK!!! I grabbed another of my spears and started stabbing it through its sides through the rib cage. I had broken another 2 spears when Ruby came in and charged right into the side of its face, knocking it off my leg. David - God damn that hurts! You¡¯re gonna pay for that you fuck! As i get back up, i feel a burning pain in my leg, but instead of holding me back, the pain only made me want to fight even more. I wanted to get back at the wolf that tore my leg up. I wanted to tear it to bits. As i was thinking this, my ruby horn appears and headbutt kicks in, making me charge right for the Corrupted Wolf. Due to Ruby keeping it distracted, i was able to slam right into its bum. David - MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!! TAKE MY HORN UP YOUR ASS YOU LITTLE FUCK!!!! I charged so fast that i was able to split its lower half in two all the way to its intestines. As i stood up, chuckling to myself, i was bathed in the dark blood of the corrupted wolf, David - HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That was fucking great! Just as i finish saying that i collapsed to the ground, unmoving, completely knocked out. Ruby - Master! Mira - David! Chapter 6 : Level Up I wanted to try color coding the dialogue between the characters, so yeah, tell me what you guys think, if i should keep it like that, or if i should change it again. Every major character will have a color, and then the less important i¡¯ll just write when they are talking. David = Green Ruby = Red Mira = Blue -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I awoke to a ray of sunlight piercing the canopy of the jungle trees straight to my face. I felt a stinging pain in my left leg and a slight headache most likely from the battle i had with the corrupted wolf. I sit up from where i am and notice that i''m on a pretty soft bed of leaves and i can see some berries placed next to my right arm. I grabbed a few and shoved them into my mouth because of how hungry i was at that moment. I was so busy eating the berries that i didn¡¯t hear rustling from the bushes. ¡°Master! You''re awake! I¡¯m so happy you¡¯re finally awake again!¡± Ruby bolts straight from the bushes and into my lap, and begins to jump all over me while excitedly telling me how glad she is that i¡¯m finally awake. ¡°Ok, ok, calm down Ruby, i''m alright, just a little pain in my leg.¡± ¡°Oh, that¡¯s why i was looking for this.¡± Ruby goes back into the bushes and comes back with a mouth full of amale to treat my injury. I thank her and take some of the amale and chew it to place on my injury while placing the extra into my pockets. ¡°Congrats on not dying in you first fight and winning. Especially against an enemy 14 levels above you. Not many level 1¡¯s can do that.¡± ¡°Welp i couldn¡¯t have done it without Ruby now could i.¡± I started petting Ruby when a pop-up appeared before me.

¡°Oh, tingly, hehe.¡± After placing the free stat points into where i wanted them, i had felt a funny tingly sensation in my body. I could feel a ripple go through my muscles, like something was growing underneath my skin. It was a different yet similar feeling to when i grow my horn on my forehead, except less freaky. Not only that, my limbs felt a little more flexible now. Must have been from the point in agility. I couldn¡¯t wait till i leveled up into the hundreds, i¡¯d probably be able to smash mountains. Not to mention what abilities i could gain from any future monsters i tame. Who knows how many monsters exist in this new world. ¡°Hey, where the body of the wolf we killed, i don¡¯t see it anywhere? ¡° You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. ¡°Oh, i had to drag your body over here so you didn¡¯t have to stay near its body. You did split it almost in two and had its blood and guts fall all over you. Which by the way master, you kinda smell.¡± As Ruby said this, i finally notice that my clothes were caked in dried blood with a few bits and chunks sticking on my sweater. There was also the unmistakable smell of decay and sweat coming off of me that i hadn¡¯t noticed till now. ¡°Oh...wow, i do smell. Should probably look for a river to wash myself. But before that.¡± I start walking over to what''s left of the wolf we had killed and with a crazed look in my eyes, i kneel down beside its corpse. ¡°Hehehe, lets see what we can use from you little buddy.¡± I grab one of my leftover rock shards and use it as an improvised knife and start going to town on the corrupted wolf¡¯s corpse looking for anything that could be useful later on. ¡°Ha, this is pretty fun, dirty and disgusting, but fun.¡± ¡°You got some weird interest for someone who just did schoolwork and played videogames for most of his life.¡± ¡°Hey, if you got taken to another world from that kind of lifestyle and told that the world is yours for the taking, you would be interested in trying all sorts of things, like butchering a disgusting mangled corpse of a monster that just recently tried to kill you, so if you¡¯ll excuse me, i¡¯ve got some butchering to do.¡± As i said that, some more blood splattered onto my face as i clumsily start what i believe would be how the skinning process is done on the wolf. I pulled each of its claws out since they were pretty sharp looking. ¡°Oh, these could come in handy, maybe attach them to a string of some kind and use it like a throwing weapon like in that game i played with assassins and stuff. Oh, these teeth are pretty long now that i look at them and not to mention sharp. I should know, you tore my leg to shreds you little shit.¡± Your fur is pretty tough too, maybe a bit torn up from my spears and you know, my horn going up your ass and tearing you almost in two, but maybe i could make some nice gloves from it once i figure out how to make them, hehe.¡± ¡°Hey, you know you have been at this for maybe two hours now right? Ruby had enough time to find you a river to wash up in.¡± ¡°Really?¡± ¡°Yep, like an hour ago. She tried telling you but you were so focused on cutting up that wolf that you didn''t hear her and she just decided to nap next to you.¡± I look to my right and sleeping in a little curled up ball next to a pile of claws and fangs was Ruby just silently sleeping without a care in the world. It was pretty cute. I woke her up and asked her where she had found the river and had her guide me while she was in my hands after i had placed all the items i could scavenge into a bag i made from the wolf¡¯s fur. Once at the river, i placed Ruby and the bag down and removed my clothes so i could dip them into the water and wash them as i washed myself. *Whistles* ¡°Nice sword ya got there, i hear you have an ability to extend its reach so you can strike ¡°deeper¡± into your victimes if you catch my drift, hehe.¡± ¡°Ha, now that''s just creepy Mira. You''re lucky you¡¯re just an A.I. program in this gem on my wrist or i would have boned you on the head right now.¡± After dealing with Mira¡¯s comment about my ¡°sword¡± i washed myself, and saw how the clear blue water began changing to a dark purplish black from the dried blood from my clothes and skin. I was just enjoying myself after washing up my clothes and hanging them on a tree branch when an idea hit me. How come i haven¡¯t tried out my evolution skills on Ruby? I mean, i barely even know how it works. Why not try it out on her right now. Evolve her as a type of reward for helping me out in the battle. So i quickly get out of the water, dry myself while listening to more of Mira¡¯s dirty jokes that all revolve on my ¡°sword¡± and ask Ruby if she would like to evolve, but before that, i quickly go over the evolution skills i had.

Ok, i think i get the jist of these skills for now. Now to ask Ruby about what she knows about evolution.I sit over by the bank of the river and ask Ruby to come sit by me so i could have a chat with her. ¡°Hey Ruby, how does evolving work for monsters and you in particular?¡± ¡°Well, in order to evolve, a monster has to reach a certain level that is specific to each individual specie to represent they have gained enough experience to justify their evolution and they must have a specific amount of mana to use as fuel to evolve them.¡± ¡°Ok. So say i had an ability that could bypass all that by simply using my mana to make up for whatever you needed. Would you mind me using it on you to evolve you to your next stage of evolution?¡± ¡°Well if you did have an ability like that, i would gladly accept your offer to evolve me master.¡± ¡°Oh, that¡¯s great then cause i actually do have the ability to do that, ain¡¯t that great? The moment i had said that, her eye¡¯s looked like they were about to pop out of her eyes from excitement. She started doing flips from how excited about the chance to finally evolve to the next stage of her evolution. ¡°Really master? Do you really mean it? You can help me evolve to the second stage of my evolution? ¡°Yeah. Wanna do it right now?¡± ¡°Absolutely!¡± ¡°Alright let''s get this started.¡± *Forced Monster Evolution* All of a sudden i see a bright flash of light before me and then everything going dark, and i think to myself, ¡°What the fuck, another blackout, haven¡¯t i blacked out enough already, god dammit.¡± --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By the way, i would like to thank Andy8583 for being the first to give my story an advance review and for being honest with me about it. Chapter 7: Evolution Time Sorry about the wait guys, i had some stuff to deal with and i''m starting to get sick, so here''s chapter 7 finally, lol. I''ll try to crank out ass many chapters as i can before i start dying from whatever i got. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As i open my eyes, i''m surprised by what i see. All around me i see panels with buttons and switches, and holographic screens. In front of me are test tube like cells both big and small. Inside one of them was ruby, just sitting there like nothing was wrong. On one of the holographic panels, i see Ruby¡¯s name with her stats and information displayed on it. As i¡¯m looking around, i finally noticed that someone was standing right next to me. The being next to me was about my height, female due to their obviously apparent features. I mean, the two main giveaways were each at least the size of a melon. She wore a blue lab coat with thin framed, rectangular glasses, and had long, straight flowing hair that was as blue as the sky. As i was about to ask who this being as, she began to speak. ¡°What''s up David. It¡¯s me, Mira. ¡°Mira? What the heck is going on here, and why can i see you with a body?¡± ¡°First of all, welcome to the Evolution User Interface, or E.U.I. for short if you like. This is a special interface that only you can access within your mind whenever you are going to attempt a forced or controlled evolution on a monster you have tamed. While your mind is busy in here fixing up an evolution, all time is basically put on hold outside, so you could spend hours or days in here coming up with really cool and powerful evolutions, and when your done, it will have been like you were just spacing out for like a second or two.¡± ¡°Secondly, you can see me with a body because this is in your head, so i was able to mess with your brain to make a body for myself whenever you come into this part of your mind.¡± *Worryingly grabs head* ¡°You can do that? *Relax, i wouldn¡¯t do anything that would cause any permanent damage to that head of yours. Maybe just some slight memory loss is all.¡± Hehe. ¡°Hey that''s not funny, that''s some scary shit man.¡± ¡°Oh relax, and let me explain to you how your evolution ability work alright.¡± ¡°Ok.¡± ¡°Alright. So, as you can see, whatever monster you have selected to evolve will be placed into one of these test chambers. Obviously, it¡¯s not actually gonna be them but a representation of their physical form that you will be able to manipulate to evolve in the way you want them to so that they can fit your needs.¡± ¡°Ok, so what about these buttons and switches and junk, how do these work?¡± ¡°Those are used to manipulate the way the monster evolves. Those buttons allow you to select the changes of the predetermined evolution while those switches allow you to swap them out with other possible premade changes that will cause the monster to become a Variant-type monster. But, if you would like to use your hands to directly make changes to the monster, you can use the holo-panels to manipulate the image of the monster and observe the changes you make from the test chamber in front of you. If you make enough changes that cause the monster to not follow any of the standard or Variant-type evolution paths, it will become a Unique-type monster.¡± ¡°Umm, so if i don¡¯t like any of the premade evolutions, i can use these switches and buttons to make a different evolution, and if i don¡¯t like any of those, i can even create my own evolution for the monster to have, am i right?¡± ¡°Yep, the only thing you''re missing now is knowing about how these changes are gonna cost you mana. Mana is used by everyone when it comes to mental strength. The more mana a person haves usually means the smarter they are than others. So if you have a lot a mana, it usually means you¡¯re very smart, while having very little of it means you¡¯re a dipshit. Right now, when compared to the average villager, you have an abundant amount of mana, but compared to the average battle mage, you¡¯re at the level of a dumb ass, hehe.¡± ¡°Oh shut up and keep explaining.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t get snappy just because i said that your only stronger than the average villager. So as i was saying, mana is what you will use in exchange for the evolution of your monsters. Each monster must reach a certain level in order to evolve, so you will have to pay mana in exchange for every level that a monster needs to reach the maximum level required to evolve plus if you wanna change anything from their predetermined evolution, that will also cost you extra. The cost also increases with every subsequent stage of evolution.¡± ¡°In Ruby¡¯s case, she needs to be level 20 in order to evolve and she is currently level 15, so you would have to exchange an amount of mana that would allow her to level up 5 times, and then if you want to customize her evolution, each change will cost a specific amount of mana. As she is only a stage 1 evolution, each level will only cost you 100 mana per level, so you have to give her 500 units of mana and then however much more for changes in her evolution.¡± ¡°No then, shall we get started?¡± ¡°Hell yeah!¡± *5 mind hours of button pushing, switch flipping and screen touching later* ¡°I think that came out quite nicely don¡¯t ya think so?¡± ¡°Yeah, i like the way it looks. I''m sure Ruby will love this.¡± As we finished up the final version of the evolution for Ruby, we stood back to get a good look at our work. Ruby had gone from a small little rabbit with a deadly red horn, to being about as tall as the average house cat with lean muscles that were powerful enough to propel her 10 feet into the air, and allow her to run at an average speed of around 25 mph. For protection we added stone plated armor from her forehead down to her spine, to where it ran along her tail with the end of it having a sharp spike made out of the same material her old horn used to be made out of. On her forehead was the same Ruby horn as before only longer now, with a faint glow to it. Along her armor were small ruby spikes that would serve to injure anything that would try to attack her up close, and her claws were also upgraded to be made out of the same ruby material. She now had the ability to bite and cut through mid grade iron armor, and her stone plated armor would be strong enough to prevent any creature from biting through it but it wouldn¡¯t hold out too long against standard iron weapons due to it not being too thick in order for her to keep as much mobility as possible. ¡°Well looks like we¡¯re done here. If you look at this panel to your right, it will show you what her new skills and stats will be as well as how much it will cost you for the evolution.¡± I take a look at the panel that Mira was pointing towards and without thinking i just click on the glowing accept button on it before reading the thing. ¡°So it¡¯s gonna cost me 1200 units of mana right¡­..hey wait, isn¡¯t that how much i have right now? What happens when i use up all the mana i have for something like this or just in general?¡± ¡°Let¡¯s just say you''re gonna have a really bad headache, hehe.¡± Chapter 8: Time to Choose Updated ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh man, everything is all dark again. Why am i always blacking out. Hmmm. I feel a weird tingling sensation in my head. It¡¯s actually quite nice, like a very soft massage for my brain. Huh? It¡¯s getting stronger. And i can see a light now. Ugh, the light is starting to burn my eyes and this tingling is starting to hurt. Was this the headache Mira was talking about, i guess it¡¯s not too bad in exchange for using up all my mana. ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­. ¡°Raaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhh! Sweet merciful jesus, this fucking hurts! Oh god, my brain feels like a million knives are stabbing it, Raaaaaaagh!¡± Just as i had come back to reality, my brain had felt like it was being stabbed over and over again causing me to spasm all over the ground. ¡°Master, are you alright?¡± ¡°Mmmmmmmhr, yeah¡­..i¡¯m good Ruby. After a few excruciatingly filled seconds pain, i finally started coming back to my senses and take a look at Ruby who was worryingly looking at me. ¡°Wooo, that was one hel of a wake up. God damn, Mira, was that the headache you were warning me about? ¡°The would be the one. You actually held up better than others. Most would have blacked out after using up all of their mana reserves and woke up at the brink of insanity with blood pouring out of every hole of their body¡­...every hole.¡± ¡°Well then, i¡¯ll take daggers to the brain over that. Well now that that¡¯s over, let me get a good look at you now Ruby. How¡¯s the new body holding up? ¡°It¡¯s fantastic master, i¡¯ve never felt this strong before, i feel like i could take on a dozen jungle wolves!¡± ¡°Heh, let''s not get a head of ourselves now, don¡¯t want you doing anything dangerous just because you evolved now do we?¡± ¡°Hehe, yes master.¡± ¡°Righty then, humph.¡± I lift myself from the ground. I guess i fell when i got that bad headache. Weird, you would think that after experiencing something like that, i would still be feeling some effects from using up all my mana. ¡°Yo Mira, what''s up with the headache, not that i''m complaining, but i don¡¯t even feel it anymore. I know you should that i¡¯m lucky that i''m not bleeding from everywhere, but shouldn¡¯t i feel something more than just a quick headache after using up all my mana?¡± ¡°That¡¯s a question that i have the answer to my friend. The thing is that the previous gods have enhanced your body to be better at handling mana and the like. In fact, i¡¯m pretty sure you mana levels have increased a bit because of this. One of the little upgrades they put in you was that under extreme circumstances, your body will evolve to allow you to survive a life threatening event. So in this case, having a life threatening after effect from using your full mana reserves cause an immense change to happen to your body in order to make you survive. In this case it would be an emergency increase to your mana reserves to make you have just a little bit of leftover mana. Though with each forced evolution, your body will go in i guess you could call a cooldown. You can¡¯t keep making your body go through forced evolutions. After a while, even the special trait that the gods gave you will fail at some point. So just try to keep the life threatening actions to a minimum, k? ¡°Heh, right. I¡¯ll keep that in mind. Huh wooooooo What to do now?¡± Now that Ruby has evolved to a second tier monster, we should be able to fight a little easier, plus i could increase my strength. Or i could go off to see what this whole monster alliance thing is. Hmmmm. *HOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWL* Huh, guess that answers my question. Let¡¯s get killing! ¡°Better get used to your body quick Ruby, cause we got a fight on our hands. ¡°I¡¯m always ready for a fight master.¡± ¡°Hey, what do you think you¡¯re gonna do?¡± ¡°Well isn''t it obvious, we¡¯re gonna hunt us some wolves!¡± ¡°Are you nuts, you almost didn¡¯t survive fighting one of them, let alone a pack of them!¡± ¡°Well that''s a first, never thought you would get that worried about me, and it''s fine, don¡¯t ya remember that special skill we gave Ruby? Hey Ruby, you think you can use that skill when the time comes for it.¡± ¡°Absolutely!¡± Right see, no problem, now then, let''s go find those fuckers, my body feels all tingly just thinking about tearing some shit up!¡± ¡°Ugh, fine, just don¡¯t do anything reckless alright, i don¡¯t wanna end up in some wolves stomach.¡± ¡°You worry way too much, now ssssshhhhh, let me concentrate on sneaking up on these fuckers. While having a mental talk with Mira, i had already begun crafting a few more makeshift spears while tracking where the pack of wolves were. It didn¡¯t take too long due to all the howling that was going on and the bloodshed that was left on all the grass and leaves. It looked just like when i found Ruby, except worse. There were wolve corpses everywhere, both standard and corrupted types. There were limbs all over, on the ground, against trees, in the bushes, for god sakes there were wolf heads stuck in the branches in the trees. All this gore was getting me pumped. Every foot step i took, there was a soft Squish sound from how blood soaked the dirt was. As i came closer to where the fighting was happening, i could hear meat being torn and the yelps from what i would have to guess are uncorrupt wolves from what i could remember from my last encounter with a corrupt wolf, they didn¡¯t feel much pain so something else must have been yelping from pain. I hid behind a bush and saw what i would have to call a slaughter. Left and right, jungle wolves were being ripped apart by the corrupt versions of themselves. There had to be at least 4 jungle wolves and what could possibly be a variant jungle vine wolf. Surrounding them were 10 corrupt jungle wolves, all with their dark purple eyes that were just filled with uncontrollable rage and bloodlust. I looked around to see if there was any way for me to get an advantage. I spot a big bush off to the left side of the corrupt wolves and motion for Ruby to go over and hide by them. She responds by silently sneaking off to the bush i pointed out. If she wasn¡¯t one of my followers, i would have been scared shitless by that piercing gleam she had. The cute adorable Ruby i knew wasn¡¯t there anymore, only a monster ready to kill on my order. This just made me get a sinister grin on my face. These poor things wouldn''t know what hit them. As i moved over, i could see that the jungle vine wolf was doing everything it could to keep the corrupt ones at bay long enough for the others to catch a breath. It was using its species signature trait of vine control to whip up a makeshift barrier between the two. It wasn¡¯t the strongest defense since it would be torn immediately by a couple of wolves, but it allowed him to push them back long enough to build another. It was working for now, but i could see that it was starting to tire out from doing it over and over, who knew how long it had till it was out of mana. I observed the corrupt wolves closely and was able to identify their levels. 4 of them were lv.13 while the other 6 were level 12. Heh, so these weren¡¯t gonna be as strong as the last one huh, perfect. I finally got in position behind the bush i had found and pulled out two of my spears. I wish i could make a mental link with Ruby so i could give her precise order while mid fight and not have to yell out orders. ¡°I could fix that, just give me a second and¡­¡­.done.¡± ¡°Ruby, can you hear me?¡± ¡°I hear you loud and clear master.¡± ¡°All right, on my mark, you use that special skill i gave you, alright?¡± ¡°Yes sir!¡± From behind my bush, i could see two large ruby eyes piercing over from the other side. Once i give my mark, a second blood bath was gonna begin. ¡°Alright, on 3¡­..1¡­¡­.2¡­¡­..3!¡± On three, i charged right into the two nearest two corrupt wolves and managed to stab them both in the eyes with my spears. I could hear an audible squish as i twisted the spears into their eye sockets making sure to make their eyes as useless as possible. Instead of pulling the spears out, i simply left them there and pulled out another and pierced the wolves bodies over and over and over and over until there was something similar to a fur wrapped sack of meat with blood spilling out of it. It had taken another 3 spears to finally put down those two wolves, but i still had plenty left to take on the rest. As that was happening, a bright light came shooting out of the bushes, piercing straight into the skulls of 2 wolves who just so happened to have their heads lined up in front of Ruby. As the bush burned, Ruby jumped out and tore out the throat of another wolf that was stunned by the sudden sneak attack. Before the other wolves could react, ruby had killed her third wolf and had already locked her sights on another and shot off another blast from her horn. She was using the new skill i gave her, Ruby Stream. By the time 5 had been killed, the corrupt wolves had just realized what was going on and began their counter. They could recognize that Ruby was a much larger threat to them than me, so they split into two groups, 3 to fight Ruby, and 2 to fight me. What they forgot to take into account though was that they had turned their backs to their original targets, and if there''s one thing you never do in a fight, is to turn your back on your enemy. At that moment two vines had come from the trees above and yanked one wolf from each group and slammed them repeatedly against the trunks of nearby trees and the ground till the broken bodies of the wolves were no longer making anymore sounds. While that was going on, the other 5 injured wolves began attacking the 3 remaining corrupted wolves. They may have been injured, but as prideful creatures, they would never allow their injuries to keep them down in a fight. With our combined force we were able to quickly take down the last few wolves. I was once again covered in purple putrid blood, filled to the brim with adrenaline. I wanted more, more fighting, more killing, and that''s exactly what i got. From behind a bush came a wolf much larger than the jungle vine wolf behind me. As i observed, what i observed both shocked and excited me. It was a lv.29 Corrupted Jungle Vine Wolf. It was on the brink of evolving for the wolf species, and it looked like it was ready to use us to get that last needed level up. This was gonna be fun. I finally activated Monster shapeshifting and grew my ruby horned and to my surprise, it had changed along with Ruby. Not only did the horn grow longer than usual, i could feel the nails on my fingers warp into ruby claws. ¡°Ohohohohoh¡­..This is gonna be good. Ruby stay out of this one, this big fella is mine. Hehehehehe.¡± I ran straight for the wolf, and it attempted to use it vines to ensnare me in them. It would have worked...had i not activated headbut and just charge right passed them. Even if they came close to catching me, i just lashed out at them and tore right through them like a hot knife through butter. I rammed right into the wolf, knocking it off its feet. As we rolled on the ground, we were tearing into each other. When i had rammed into it, i had jabbed my horn right into its chest and used that to make a hole that i could use to grip onto while i used the other hand to either tear deeper into it, or make another gash. Somewhere in our fight it had torn my harness with my spears off, and managed to cut off two of my fingers from my left hand and make a gash below my rib cage, but i still kept attacking. I first gouged out one of its eyes, and from its empty socket i kept stabbing its skull till i was finally able to pierce it and feel for its mushy brain. It kept clawing at me and even managed to get a vine wrapped around my leg to pull me off. But each time i would just snap it off with my claws and keep at it with its brain. After a few moments more, i was finally able to make a hole big enough for 3 of my fingers and began digging its brain out. After only a single scoop of brain matter, the wolf had released me and began spazzing out on the ground till it finally stopped and blood pooling all around it. As i stood up and stared at it, a wild grin appeared on my face. Even though i had lost two fingers, couldn¡¯t see very well out of my right eye because of what i would think is a heavily bleeding gash right about it, and possibly a broken arm, i was excited. I just had what i would have considered a BOSS battle and won. ¡°Roooooooooaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrr!¡± ¡°Hehehe, take that you overgrown piece of shit.This is gonna be my island from now on, and nothing''s gonna stop me from taking it, especially not some purple goo slobbering overgrown mutt.¡± Chapter 9: The Pack If you haven''t checked yet, ch.8 was updated to be a little longer than last time so if you haven''t checked back on it yet, check it out now. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maybe Standing up and roaring my dominance wasn¡¯t the best thing to do for someone who is basically bleeding out. I legs got all wobbly after i calmed down from my fight and i just right onto my butt. I pull out a handful of amale herbs and start chewing on them. I swallow a couple to see if that will help with the healing process incase i had any internal bleeding, and then use the rest as a paste to put on the gashes that i had all over my body. After this, i was gonna have some badass scars, haha. After a few minutes of quietness, Mira began to talk to me. ¡°Well that could have gone better. I mean, really, you charged right into the face of a corrupt wolf who was not only a variant type, but a variant type that was 27 levels above you. WERE YOU FUCKING OUT OF YOUR MIND?¡± ¡°Those are valid points you got there Mira, but here¡¯s my counter¡­¡­.¡± As i¡¯m about to give my comeback to Mira, i put my hand together in front of my mouth as if i was gonna pray, and a second later, i tilted them so that my wrist was by my chin, and my fingertips pointed towards the trees in front of me and said¡­. ¡°....Did i die though?¡± ¡°Huh...did i?¡± ¡°Well...no, but¡­.¡± I rest my case, i''m alive and kicking and my plan worked. Not only did we wipe out a small pack of corrupt wolves, but we saved a couple normal ones too. Yeah i may have lost a finger or too, but meh, it was a pinky and a ring finger for my left hand. I was always a righty so i''m fine. I¡¯m sure there''s someone or something in this world that can help me regrow my fingers right?¡± ¡°Well yeah, all sorts of mid tier magics and items can do it, but¡­¡± ¡°Upapapapapup. End of discussion, my plan worked, we lived, end of story. After i confirm the allocation of my new stats points, i can already feel my body get stronger, like a ripple of strength going throughout my body starting from my core and moving outward towards my fingers and toes. I was gonna try out my improved body when i Ruby came rustling through the bushes with the wolves behind her. The moment Ruby focused on me and saw my injuries, i could tell that she had become worried about my condition. ¡°It''s alright Ruby, I''ll be fine, this is nothing to worry about.¡± I waved my 3 fingered hand at her showing that it didn''t really matter to me that much. Her worried look left her, but i could still feel that she had a little worry in her about me. She walked over to my side and watched the wolves as they came through the bushes in case they tried to do anything that would cause me harm. ¡°Sorry about the rest of your group, had i been a bit quicker i probably could have saved more of you.¡± The moment i began speaking to these wolves, an expression of shock and confusion could be seen on their faces, and i''m pretty sure i could tell why. The jungle vine wolf was the first to speak. ¡°Those who fall in combat die an honorable death in which all wolves hope for. We thank you for saving those of us that you could, but the question that I and most likely my companions as well share is, how are you able to speak in out tongue? No human should be able to speak in the language of monsters, and yet you are able to confidently speak to us and your companion. ¡°Oh, that, it''s just a little quirk from the class i was given by the gods.¡± This obviously didn¡¯t help remove the confused state of the wolves, because if anything it only made them even more confused by the looks on their faces. They even did that head motion where they shift their heads to the side and rotate it a couple of degrees. God i wanna pet them so bad. ¡°You were... given a class, by the gods themselves? What would this class happen to be exactly?¡± Well shit, i didn¡¯t think he would ask something like that. What am i supposed to tell him, that i''m a monster tamer so bow before me or some shit? Fuck it, worse case scenario, they attack and Ruby fires her laser at them and we take on the wolves. ¡°I was given the Monster Tamer class. It lets me talk to you guys as if i were talking to any other person and to make contracts with monsters that work to make both stronger.¡± As i had finished saying this, different emotions could be seen on their faces. Some were scared just because i said Monster Tamer, others look anxious, and a few looked ready to kill me on the big guys order. The weirdest thing that happened though that even surprised the other wolves was that the big guy bowed his head to me, and what was an even bigger shocker that caused all the wolves to drop their jaws was what he said next. ¡°Would you mind taking on another such as myself as a contracted monster?¡± Not only was i looking at him with confused eyes, but the wolves behind him looked at him as if he was insane. I could hear them silently talking among themselves and to their leader in hushed voices ¡°Big bro, why would you want to join a human?¡± ¡°Bro, we barely even know this human, for all we know, he could be the cause of this corruption.¡± This continued on for a few seconds before the large wolf cut them off. ¡°Silence you fools, do you believe that if this human created this corruption that he would still be here fighting those who it corrupts. Besides, look at his companion, she is a tier two evolution of the horned rabbits, when was the last time you have seen one? After a few seconds of silence he continued. ¡°Exactly, he must have had a hand in her evolving into the Ruby Gemmed variant of the Armoured Hoppers. It¡¯s almost impossible for any rabbit to evolve into one of those without the aid of a large mana crystal which are non existent on this island. If he could bring about an evolution such as this in a rabbit, imagine what he could do with us. We could become the fiercest beast around!¡± After listening to their, what i would guess older brother, all the wolves began to think for a second and one by on bowed their heads in my direction and all asked to become a contracted monster. ¡°Congratulations, you just gained 6 new contracted monsters, what are you going to name them?¡± I started from the large Jungle vine wolf, and then the 5 other wolves behind him. ¡°Hmm, i¡¯ll start you big guy, and then i¡¯ll do your siblings next. I¡¯ll call you¡­. Draven, and the rest of you will be, Daxius, Rex, Fang, Blitz, and Rogue. Turned out that the last wolf was female because when i tried giving her a more masculine name, she looked like she was ready to tear my head off, so i swapped it for Rogue, which she liked. *The wolves in unison* ¡°What are your orders master?¡± Chapter 10: March On Since having to write corrupted before any creature that is a corrupted monster makes it kind of a mouthful, i will be shortening it to just ¡°C.¡± like for example, C. Jungle Wolf. So other than that, enjoy the chapter. ================================================== It¡¯s been a few days since I''ve contracted the pack of wolves, and so far, they have been a great help. I had gained ten more levels from taming and hunting with them, two new traits, Hardened Leaf Armour and Razor Teeth, and two new abilities, Vine Control and Hunter¡¯s Vision. Vine Control was gained from Draven, and allows me to shoot out a max of three vines from either hand and use them like Draven to either block, stab, or grab anything i can with them. Razor Teeth rapidly changes my teeth to become the same razor sharp teeth that the wolves have that allow me to bite through basic armour. Hardened Leaf Armour was an upgraded version of leaf armour i gained due to gaining more than one monster that had the same trait, so in turn, it evolved into a stronger version that instead of being able to block iron arrows, can now block up to steel tipped arrows and basic iron weapons. Knowing this, i as now excited to tame as many monsters as i could to see what other abilities could evolve into stronger variations. The final ability i had gained was Hunter¡¯s Vision, which was also an upgraded version of the original version, Hunter¡¯s Eyes. Hunter''s Eyes allowed for the user to have a sense for about where a target''s weak points are. Hunter''s Vision builds upon this by allowing the user to see exactly where an enemy''s weak points are and when a bit more mana is added to the eyes, the user''s perception of time is slowed, allowing them to make a decision based on the situation in a fraction of a second. Along with these nifty new tricks, my two abilities that control these went up to the next level as well, and now allowed me to use two abilities and two traits at the same time now. With all this combined, i was now able to hunt more easily when on hunts with everyone else. We would hunt for a day, rest the next, and then repeat. Over the next six days, we had continued hunting the corrupted, which tallied up to, ten C. Jungle Wolves, Seven C. Wild Earth Boars, fifthteen C. Jungle Spiders, and five C. Vine Vipers. Jungle spiders, Vine Vipers and Earth Boars were a couple new monsters i had found to exist on this island. Starting with Vine Vipers, from what i could tell from fighting the corrupt versions, they tended to like pretending to be vines in the trees, waiting for anything to come near to attack. My first encounter with one scared the shit out of me. Had i not have Hunter¡¯s Vision and slowed everything down fast enough to react in time, i would have been missing a good chunk of my throat. After a while, i was able to finally tell the difference between actual vines and Vine Vipers due to the subtle differences between the two. Vine vipers would have a different texture to them due to their scales that to someone not specifically looking for it, would not be seen. Regular Vine Vipers are a mix of greens and browns, all depending on the area they live in with the Corrupted ones having very faint purple veins running throughout the body that from far away and even up close sometimes were hard to see. But there are a few who had been corrupted for a long enough period of time to where the veins begin to be more visible from their scales, causing them to be easier to spot the longer they are corrupted. The next of the monsters encountered were the Jungle Spiders. These little shits were even more annoying than the Vine Vipers. They would stay up high in the trees where they were impossible to spot and when you came right below them, they would jump right at your heads. Do you even understand how fucked up that is. It doesn¡¯t even help that these fuckers are the size of a fucking Frisbee. They have a nasty habit of falling on your head and then start stabbing at it with their long legs which have sharpened tips. The only reason i haven¡¯t died from the constant head attacks is because my defense stat was just high enough to where they couldn¡¯t pierce my skull because i have seen a couple other times when C. Jungle Spiders would attack other monsters with a lower Defense stat than I and would be able to pierce right through their skin and even their bones after repeated stabbing that would weaken the spot they were aiming for. The little buggers were black with dark green stripes that ran across their bodies and at the tips of their legs. The corrupted version that a purple spots that the longer they have been corrupted, the larger they would become, causing some to appear completely purple where there should have been green. They didn¡¯t have any poisons or toxins, and seemed to mainly rely on their sharpened legs to their the killing and then eat up whatever is left from the stabbed mess they leave after killing their prey. The last of the new monsters i had encountered were the Earth Boars. From what Mira had told me, they technically weren¡¯t even actual monsters. Yes, they had special abilities that normal creatures didn¡¯t have, like the natural Boar, but their ability to control the earth was very minimal. The most any could do was to shift the ground under your feet to unbalance you and that was it except for the occasional boar that could fire rocks from the ground at you, but they were at the most nuisances with the leaf armor the wolves and i had and the rock armor Ruby had. They were still considered livestock by many of the other major races and were domesticated by many as a food source. After a few encounters with them, i could see why, they had little to no intelligence and simply lived to eat and breed. I would have to remember where i can find them later on as a possible food source once i take this island over. The hunt would account for eight of the ten level ups, with the other two coming from taming the pack. Seeing as how each level up gave five free stats points , that meant that i had a total of fifty free stats points! Woop! It was during the sixth day which had been designated as a rest day that i decided to allocate my free stats points. I placed five into luck, four into wisdom, ten into agility, nine into strength, seven into agility, five into intelligence, and ten into endurance.

Once those points were confirmed, i got ready for what this sort of power boost would feel, and when it passed through me, boy did it feel great! Stolen story; please report. ¡°OHOHOHOHOH YEAH! Now that hits the spot!¡± A ripple could be seen going throughout my body, with muscle mass quickly forming, causing my body that had once been somewhat unfit to look like that of someone who participated in a weightlifting club. I examined by body, giddy over finally seeing it with a lot more muscle than i thought i would ever see on it. I could see the muscle growth without even having to flex my arms. I almost had a tear drop form from all this. ¡°This is just fucking beautiful, haha!¡± ¡°Congrats on the new powerup David, but you should probably start getting ready to put that plan you made into action.¡± ¡°You''re most certainly right about that Mira. The faster i put my plan into motion, the faster i can take over this island and figure out a way off of it.¡± The plan was quite simple really, figure out what''s causing the corruption on this island forcing once friendly monsters to slaughter each other for no reason, kick its ass if it has an ass to kick, and use that as leverage to take over this island. The reason for this was simple, every non corrupted monster i had seen so far were scared. Scared of being found by the corrupted. It could be seen in their quivering eyes, fear, the fear that at any moment, a pack of corrupted would find them and tear them apart and continue on. It was obviously apparent that this supposed monster alliance which was formed in order to combat whatever was causing this wasn''t working. The entire time i had spent here, i had not seen one organized group of uncorrupted monsters who either weren''t torn to shreds after encountering a group of corrupted, or weren''t looking out for just themselves. On multiple occasions we saw monsters turning on their own due to the lack of food and safe shelter. If i can put a stop to whatever is causing the corruption before their monster alliance, I would look better to the monsters as a leader once i start taking over, and if not, well then, who am i to care, i will only care for those that align themselves with me. Anyone against me can suck it! Now then, let''s get started. ¡°Draven!¡± ¡°You called master.¡± ¡°Call the pack, it¡¯s about time i evolved you guys to your next tier, hehe.¡± With a look of both surprise and giddiness, Draven responded happily to this order. ¡°Yes, right away master!¡± It didn¡¯t take long for everyone to come to the clearing i was in. Draven sat in front of me with Daxius, Rex and Fang to his left, and Blitz and Rogue to his right. Ruby sat right besides me watching over the wolves. ¡°Alright, now that everyone is here, it''s time to begin. Yo Mira, you ready?¡± ¡°Ready when you are.¡± Once Mira had responded, I activated my evolution ability and entered my little mind lab and began checking on the evolution paths for the wolves. In order for the Jungle Wolves to evolve, their requirement was to reach level 30 in which they were fully set on that, which meant that i did not have to spend any extra mana to help them evolve other than to push them into the evolution process. I wanted to create something a bit more humanoid, so i made them bipedal as well as giving them opposable thumbs. I then gave a few enhancements to their muscles, making them stronger and faster than what a normal evolution upgrade would provide. I darkened their fur till it was completely pitch black except for Draven, who i had placed Green streaks in so he had something to show that he had evolved from a variant of the jungle wolves and that he had some power in earth magic. I placed a few more enhancements that would allow them to move swiftly through any environment, plains, grasslands, forest, jungles or deserts, they would be able to move quickly and silently. In order to make it foolproof, i had it made as an extra ability that they would gain from their evolution called, Swift Silence. I had them keep their leaf armour and had it cover up more of their body. Originally, it would have only protected their shoulders and shins. I made to where it would be able to cover their chest, thighs, forearms, upper arms, and back with the plus that it could be retracted into their body at will, which i thought was a nice touch, an instant armour, which became another ability for them. Their armor would allow them to survive strikes from anything equal to or lesser than the average steel type weapon such as arrow tips and swords and the like. Anything greater would begin to scratch at their armour and chip away at it, possibly breaking it, which would cause them to have to wait a cooldown before another set of armour could be made. Finally, i enhanced their brains, making things such as their frontal cortexs a little bigger, and improving its abilities at retaining memory and problem solving capabilities. It¡¯s always hard finding smart and loyal henchmen, why not make them am I right? All in all, i was pretty happy with the custom class i made. As i had made a new class, i decided to give it a name that i thought would fit it best and was not already taken by any other pre-existing species. I named them, the Nox Kobolds. For the five Jungle Wolves, it would cost me 2000mp which would require me to wait almost an hour between each evolution so i could replenish enough mana to evolve the next. For Draven, being a Variant type and all, would require an extra 400mp, which put me right before my mana cap which was good seeing as i didn¡¯t want to go through a another mana starvation induced brain stabbing session again. ¡°And¡­¡­..we¡¯re done! So...how do you all feel, great right?¡± Right till the last of them were evolved, they had been checking their new bodies, with Rogue being the last to get the evolution. They were now much taller, Rogue being the shortest of the pack, was 5 ft 9in while i was 5ft 6in. The tallest being Draven being 6ft 4in. He was quite the intimidating being, in fact they all were. Their dark skin with their pitch black fur made them look deadly. Their eyes had changed into a golden color that made them almost look like noble beings if it wasn¡¯t for their fear inducing looks. Their sharp teeth that showed when they smiled didn¡¯t help to improve that image. Everything about them only helped to either make them look like majestic beings or fearsome monsters. I fucking loved it. These powerful, noble looking, fear inducing beings were under my complete control, and the amount of power that each of them held was immense. They each had the fighting power to take on entire packs of C. Jungle wolves without breaking a sweat. After getting accustomed to their new bodies, they all faced me kneeled before me. All together ¡°We thank you master for these new bodies, please order us to do as you please so we may thank you for this new power that flows through us.¡± Man, whenever they all talk in unison it makes me shiver in excitement from how cool it sounds. ¡°Good to hear. Now then, your new orders are to assist me in entering the Corrupt Cave and help me take out whatever is causing all this shit to happen. Understood?¡± All together ¡°Yes Master!¡± ¡°Good. Now march! Onwards to the Corrupt Cave!¡± Chapter 11: More Pain Out in the Ocean Out at sea, a large vessel sails, for what reason or purpose, who knows. ¡°Captain! There be land in sight of the ship!¡± A being at the highest point of the ship yells out to whoever this captain could be about an island that has come within sight of them. A being appears from the Captain¡¯s Cabin and begins to look out into the distance to where an island is beginning to form. That being then begins to speak to the crew of the ship. ¡°Hmmph, make haste for that island, it does not appear on any of the maps, so it must be an undiscovered island. You all know what that means boys. We¡¯re about to explore unknown territory! Altogether the crew of the ship begin to cheer in excitement for it has been a while since any race has discovered any new land bodies out at sea in the last decade within 50 miles of the mainlands due to the inefficient level of seafaring technology to allow them to make ships that could comfortably sail for longer periods of time that would allow them to sail further. The very ship these beings were on was one of the most advanced of any of the ships built to this point and allowed to to sail at least 200 miles from the mainland before they had to return for supplies. The island they believe to be undiscovered was a mere 195 miles away from their mainland. Back to David As we marched for the cave of corruption, Mira reminded me that evolving the wolves had given me once again, enough experience to level up. So in turn i leveled my self up and awaited for the comforting feel of my body getting stronger once more. It was almost like a drug to me now, constantly wanting to level even further in order to feel that rush that it gave.

I had leveled up three more levels which gave me fifteen free stat points, in which i placed five into agility, five to vitality, three into strength and two into intelligence. As we were making our way to the cave, nothing stood in our way. If any of the packs of corrupted came near us to attack, they would be slaughtered by us before they were able to counter. Any monsters not corrupted were smart enough not to get in our way as we made our way to our destination. It was late into the night when we had finally made it to the cave. All around it were corrupt versions of many of the monsters we had seen with quite a few of them being larger than the average of their species. It seemed whatever was causing all this was keeping the stronger monsters for itself, this was going to be exciting. There were quite a few variant types among the cave¡¯s guardians. There were at least ten c. Jungle vine wolves mixed in with the fifty-ish c. jungle wolves. There were even larger versions of the jungle spiders known as the Guardian types for Jungle spider nest. They were basically the same as the standard jungle spider, only instead of being the size of a hand, they were about the size of a dog, fan-fucking-tastic. There were at least twenty of them with another thirty c. jungle spiders moving around. Over with the vipers, there were the Poisonous Vipers. This variation of the vine viper was capable of shooting out a poisonous substance that would inflict damage over time if it touches skin. Good thing we have armor to block that. The physical feature that made it easier to spot from the rest as they had hoods around their heads that made them look like cobras, making it easy to spot ten of them. With them were around forty C. Vine Vipers. There weren¡¯t any variants of the boars that i could see, just C. Earth boars, which were not very abundant, there were maybe twenty of them guarding the cave entrance. As we got near the cave entrance to where most of the guards were, i prepared the weapons that i had made from my new skills. I had managed to figure out that i could mentally command my horn to snap off my head and then regrow itself for a small amount of mana. After a few hours of that, i had managed to create spears and daggers using my horns, vines, and some thick branches.

I had 5 of each for myself as well as for everyone else who could hold a weapon. Our plan was simple. Ruby opens fire on the c. poison vipers with her Ruby Stream ability, which could now fire at multiple targets at once, with each separate stream causing the attack to become slightly weaker than if there was one less stream being shot. But even when separated into around five streams which was her current max, they were still capable of instantly killing any monster that we had encountered up till now. While that happens, me and the Nox Kobolds will charge right from the left and sweep through them until we take down all the outer guards with Ruby providing covering fire once she has taken out the c. poison vipers since they were the most likely to be able to cause us damage because of their poison. By killing all the corrupted guarding the outside of the cave, we would remove the risk of being attacked from both sides while we go into the cave. We got into position, Ruby staying in a tall tree in front of the cave, giving her vision over all the C. Monsters, while the kobolds and I made our way over to the left of the cave, hiding ourselves behind the trees and bushes. Thanks to our ability Swift Silence, we were able to get within a few feet of the cave¡¯s guards. Once we charged in, Ruby would fire her lasers on the C. Poison Vipers until they are eliminated and then begin working on any C. Monster that comes and tries to flank us. The pack and I will charge right through the guards, killing everything in our way until every last one of them are dead. The moment i charge in, the rest will follow with me and Ruby would begin firing. I checked to see if everyone was ready over the mental link Mira had created so i could communicate with everyone instantly. Everyone knew their part and were ready, so i began to bend my legs, prepared to jump right out of the bushes and strike at the C. Jungle Vine Wolf that was right in front of me. I activated Hunter¡¯s Vision, allowing me to see where the wolves vitals were, and equipped Hardened Leaf Armour which now covered most of my body as well as Ruby Horn which caused me to grow my ruby horn and claws. I was ready to strike, and so was everyone else. On the count of three, we would begin out attack. ¡°1¡­¡­...¡­.2¡­¡­¡­..¡­¡­....3!¡± I activated headbutt and charged right at the C. Jungle Vine wolf and slammed my horn right into its skull instantly killing it, and then quickly throwing it into another C. Jungle Vine Wolf, and then grabbing a C. Jungle Wolf and bringing my dagger down on it, severing its spine that connected its skull to its body also killing it instantly. Before any had noticed what happened, 5 red beams had shot through the trees, taking down 5 C. Poison Vipers, as well as another group of C. Jungle wolves, C. Jungle Vine Wolves, and C. Earth Boars were left as chunks of meat after the Nox Kobolds had quickly run past them while quickly slicing at their vitals. Immediately before they understood what was going on, we continued our slaughter. Left and right, purple blood was flying as C. Wolves , C. Boars, C. Spiders and C. Vipers were all cut down. When a couple who recover from the surprise and start countering, they were shot by Ruby, killing them in an instant. It didn''t take long for the others to realize what was going on and begin defending the cave as were supposed to. Left and right, heads were flying, limbs severed from their bodies. Nothing was giving us any trouble, our armor stopped any of their attacks from causing any actual damage, and we moved to quickly for then to react. We would be slaughtering one group and then before the next could react or come up with proper counter, they were already getting their heads removed either by a Nox Kobold tearing their heads off with their bare fist, or being sliced off by a dagger or spear. For the C. Vine Vipers and C. Jungle Spiders, they were easy to simply skewer onto a spear. Heart, spine, jugular, carotid, back and forth my mind told me what to aim for in my targets that were mammals, for the Vipers, my mind raced to aiming for either stabbing them through the brain or removing the head, and for the Jungle Spiders i aimed to pierce them where their abdomen connects to their head. One by one each and every one was slaughtered, giving us no challenge. There were C. Guardian type Jungle Spiders that charged at us alongside C. Earth Boars, using their large size to try and trample us which would fail miserably Due to Draven using his Vines to wrap of their legs, causing them to trip on themselves and making them easy targets to kill while they were trying to get back up. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. It took around four hours before every last C. monster was dealt with. After around half of the Corrupted were killed, more came from within the cave that were slightly stronger than the others, but still caused no problems for us. In all, we had killed roughly more than two hundred C. monsters with just the seven of us. We were dead tired after all that fighting. At first the C. monsters were very easy to handle, but after hours of constant fighting, out stamina began to deplete, causing us to stumble and make mistakes, causing some of the C. monsters to land a couple lucky hits. All my clothes were torn to shreds, i had cuts and bruises all over my body, and every muscle was burning. The kobolds were doing a bit better, just a few cuts, the occasional gash from lucky hits from the guards. Ruby had mostly stayed in the trees killing from afar, but near the end had joined in the melee and had a couple cuts here and there where her rock armor didn¡¯t provide protection. We took a short break after clearing them all out, giving me time to check on my stats since i was pretty sure this attack should have given me quite the boost. ¡°Level Status¡±

¡°Got a minute David?¡± ¡°Yeah, whats up?¡± ¡°It¡¯s about the cave. Now that we¡¯re closer, i¡¯ve been detecting strange reading from it. Almost like it''s something similar to myself. I wanted to bring this up to you because i feel that you should leave Ruby and the others here just in case whatever is in there tries to corrupt them like it did to these monsters. If my theory is correct, there should be a failed experimental device created by the Gods within this cave.¡± ¡°Ok, but first, what the hell is a failed experimental device by the Gods, and why the hell are one of them just sitting in a cave?¡± ¡°That¡¯s the thing. All experimental devices, failures and successes, were supposed to be placed in secure locations for you to find and make use of them however you like. From my readings, something must have happened that activated its defense mechanisms which caused all the monsters in the nearby area to turn into what we saw. If you could get close enough to the device and allow me to gain access to it, i could potentially use it to upgrade myself and thereby upgrade you as well.¡± ¡°What kind of upgrade we talking here? ¡°I¡¯m still not to sure which device it is, but based on the defense mechanism being used, i''m guessing it''s a cerebral type upgrade, anything more specific about what it will do is beyond me. I can only detect when you get near an upgrade. ¡°Well if it could potentially give me a free upgrade, i¡¯l take it. Thanks for the heads up Mira.¡± ¡°My pleasure.¡± After waiting another hour for the gang to heal up a bit more, i tell them about how Mira had warned me about bringing the rest of them with me into the cave. Surprisingly, the one to be the most against this was Rogue. ¡°Master, i can not allow this to happen. What should happen if there is another group of those foul creatures within. How are we to protect you with our lives if you are to continue on your own in there. ¡°Rogue! Know your place, what the Master says is final. If he is to continue on his own, then that is what will happen. ¡°What about the chance of being corrupted as well Rogue. If you or any of us were to become one of them, how would Master feel then. He would have to put down whoever is infected, do you want him to feel that pain?¡± Rogue began to think of these possibilities, causing her face to have a conflicted look to it. ¡°Look, everything will be fine. If i see anything dangerous down there, i¡¯ll come running back up so you guys can help, alright?¡± Everyone nodded their head, even Rogue grudgingly. With that done, i begin making my way into the cave. It was now that i learned that Mira¡¯s crystal had another little nifty feature, a flashlight! I made my way further into the cave, step by step into the dark and murky cave, with the magnified echoes of water drops hitting the rocky floor. The further down i went, the more i felt like something was clouding my mind. It got to the point that my vision was beginning to get blurrier than it already was due to my glasses breaking at some point during my new adventure. I kept moving down the cave, bearing with the strange feeling that was coming over me. It got to the point that Mira had begun detecting abnormalities within me. ¡°You might wanna hurry up David, i''m detecting the same substance that''s on all the corrupted monsters beginning to form within you. Whatever that item is, its spreading something in the air around it. Find it quick so i can take it and use to to upgrade. The sooner we get it, the sooner we can get out of here before you becoming a naked foaming monster. By now, i couldn¡¯t even laugh at what Mira had said from how clouded my mind had become. The edges of my vision were beginning to have shades of purple appear. I could see a couple purple veins begin to appear here and there around my body. From seeing this, i began running down the tunnels until i finally got to the end, to which i was met with a strange box glowing in a purple light with a fog moving around it. Right now my entire body was starting to feel like something else was trying to order it around. ¡°There it its! Get me to it now so i can get rid of this fog! I ran right to the box, slamming it open, finding a gem similar to Mira¡¯s but smaller and blue in color while Mira¡¯s was red. I grab a hold of it and immediately felt my mind being ripped apart by something. ¡°RAAAAAAAGGGGHHHH! FUCKING HELL!¡± ¡°Shit, it¡¯s trying to take over your mind, give me a second, i can take it over, just keep fighting it!¡± ¡°Arrrrgggghhh! WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK IM DOING! JUST FUCKING HURRY!¡± GAAAAKKKK! ¡°SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, COME ON COME ON COME ON, WHERE THE FUCK IS IT, WHERE THE FUCK IS THAT FI¡­¡­.I GOT IT! That''s when the real fun started. ¡°GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!¡± With the help of Mira, the crystal was being dissolved within my body and reconstructing itself within my brain, though when the process should be quick and painless, this crystal had its security systems active which meant that a forced adaption protocol was used as i was to be later told by Mira which is the longer, more painful process of having the upgrade added to my body. The pain felt like needles were being forced down my throat, with explosions happening within my stomach, and daggers being stabbed into my brain. It was so excruciating that even after the pain had ended, my body still could not move from where it was. I would be stuck in that cave for another hour until my body began to move once more. I grudgingly gt myself back up on my feet, feeling like shit. ¡°Fuck! Why does everything have to hurt so goddamn much?¡± ¡°Hehe, well think of it this way, in exchange for lots of pain, you get big rewards. Which by the way, you should probably check on your stats.¡± ¡°Why, is it gonna tell me that i have a pain resistance stat now, cause that would be nice.¡± ¡°Nah, something better, just look.¡± ¡°Status¡± I opened up my stats menu and what appears before me is a pop up that caused my jaw to drop. ¡°What the fuck!¡± Chapter 12: The Clans What''s this....another chapter? ¡°Holy shit! There''s so much new shit here! I got fucking Psionics, that''s that XCOM type shit right there, HAHAHAHAHA!¡± ¡°I¡¯m even being rewarded for all the mental damaged i¡¯ve been getting, ha, this is just great!¡± ¡°I knew you would like that, now let''s get going, you don¡¯t wanna let the others keep waiting right? We still got the next objective of our plan to accomplish.¡± ¡°Right, let''s get going then.¡± It took me about an hour to run all the way back up through the cave, to which i was meet with the bright sun which almost blinded my eyes which had adjusted to the pitch darkness of the cave. Once my eyes had adjusted to the light, what i saw in front of me gave me another surprise i wasn¡¯t expecting, or at least not to this magnitude. In front of me was a mass of monsters, many of which i had already seen, or at least their corrupt counterparts, but some i hadn¡¯t yet. By the description that appeared when i observed them, there were Ember Hawks, Stone Plated Bears, Alpha Jungle Wolves, and many of the others monsters that i had already seen before. ¡°Ummmm, anyone care to tell me what the hell is going on here?¡± I asked with a puzzled expression. ¡°These were the monsters that were in the area when we attacked the cave. They said that whatever you did, every C. Monster in the area just dropped dead. They wanted to come and see who was the one who saved them. ¡°Is that so huh.¡± I said with a slight grin. This was almost getting too easy now. One of the Alpha Wolves approaches me. He was the highest level monsters here, a Lv. 48. He was about half my height, teeth as long as my index finger, leaf armor that was probably as strong as my own, and probably really strong from the look of those muscles. I mean, they could be seen even through his thick fur, so the guy had to be buff as hell. ¡°Greetings young man. I am the leader of the Iron Fang clan. These beast have been a great obstacle for not only us, but for many of the other clans on this island. We thank you for this, but are sad to say, we must ask you for assistance. Would you be so kind as to hear us out on our offer?¡± Hehehehe, already asking for favors are we, oh I could definitely use this. ¡°Why of course, what is it that you need help with?¡± ¡°Thank you for accepting to hear me out. Our problem is this. You may or may have heard about the grouping of certain monster clans into something that would be known as the, Monster Alliance. ¡°I¡¯ve heard a thing or two about them. Heard they wanted to stop this first and saw that they did very little to nothing to try.¡± ¡°Well you would be right to think so, for they were the ones who had caused this in the first place. The clans that banded together into that alliance were always known for using force against the other clans to get what they wanted. The best hunting grounds, the best living spaces, everything they liked, they took. They believed that that cave had hidden treasures such as mana crystals which can be used to help one to evolve. What they found was nothing but death. They banded together to only protect their own lands. They promised that they would remove this threat but never lifted a paw to help with anything. But you, you helped when you didn¡¯t have to. You have saved our people from this threat. And now we ask this of you. Please, assist us in removing the threat of the Monster Alliance. With the threat of the corrupted removed, there is no doubt that the Monster Alliance will begin to work in force to take over more of our territories, and if we lose any more, will will be pushed to the brink of death. In return, the Iron Fang, Stone Fur, Shining Silk, Flaming Wing, and Emerald Fang clans will all place their trust in loyalty to you to command as you please. I just took care of the corrupted problem and i already got entire clans promising their loyalty to me. My plan for island domination just speed up by who knows how much. This was fantastic. Gotta act calm now so i don¡¯t blow this and have to start back at square one. ¡°Hmmm, that is quite the offer. It may be hard to completely remove this problem of yours, but i believe that it will be doable.¡± ¡°Would hat mean that you have agreed?¡± ¡°Yes.¡± The toothy grin on the Alpha''s face was priceless. The serious and worried look on his hairy face was completely washed away with a happy one, and it wasn''t just him. It looked like every monster here had begun cheering with their screeches, hisses and roars. I could have sworn my eardrums popped from the loudness of their cheering. It hurt, but i was happy to see them this happy. ¡°Please, allow us to take you to our home. We will prepare a feast for you all that will last an entire day.¡± My group and i followed behind him, excited to see how this new decision will turn out for us. Though i was the only one who was slightly worried about this ¡°feast¡±. I really it''s not disrespectful if i cook whatever meat they serve me. It had taken us about an hour to reach the area that they called their home. It was by the side of cliffs that had a cave system within that served as their home for many of the clans, with trees surrounding it from all sides, serving as the look out post and homes for the Flaming Wing clan. There was an open clearing just in front of the cliffs that would serve as the main area for the feast. They had already begun prep work and had told me that a room would be ready for me in a few moments, so to pass the time, i started trying out my new psionic ability, Soulfire. Every time i saw a small animal that was not a monster or a monster that was not a part of any of their clans, i would try out my new ability. It was a weird ability. It didn¡¯t rely on mana, but more of how strong my mind was. I had only fired three shots, which were quite deadly, causing the heads of anything it head to explode, to tire me out. When i checked my status, my stamina and mana were both doing fine, but my mana regen had gotten chunked, and after resting for a bit, had returned to normal. I tried different things to see how i could extend the amount of times i could use Soulfire. I tried using the ability then rest and use again then repeat, and after an hour, had seen no progress. I decided to try something else like maybe meditation later. Maybe after I got to see where i was to stay. When i had returned, i was showed to where i would sleep. It was one of their larger cave rooms, giving me enough room to comfortably move around in, and even had a hole in the wall so i could see outside. There were leaves and grass piled in a corner as a makeshift bed i guess for when i needed to rest. I sat down on it and began what i believed was to be meditating. I wasn¡¯t one to meditate back in the old world so i didn¡¯t really know what i was doing. I just sat down, and began to try to clear my mind, which was pretty hard when you keep hearing different types of monsters all talking to each other very loudly just outside. It wasn¡¯t long till i finally figured out how to tune out all the noise and finally clear my mind of everything. Once that was done, i began to think about my psionic abilities. How exactly do they work. Were they all mind based abilities, how do i unlock any other abilities that were under the psionics skill tree? ¡°You know i could easily answers those questions for you right? ¡°JESUS FUCK, YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME!¡± ¡°HAHAHAHA, Why do you think i waited till you were deep in thought to interrupt your so called, ¡°meditation.¡± ¡°Oh shut up and answer my questions.¡± I say while pouting and crossing my arms. ¡°Ah, don¡¯t be like that. Look, i¡¯m gonna answer your questions alright. For your first question, yes, they are mind based abilities and do not rely on mana, but do rely on how strong your mind is. You mind has to get used to the mental strain these abilities cause, so the more you strengthen your mind, the stronger you will become with your psionic abilities. Secondly, to unlock your other abilities, you just have to think of them. Make up some abilities, hell, mix them up with some you already have. Mix a few Psionic powers with abilities from your Monster Tamer class abilities or with any mana based abilities you learn later on. You literally have an endless possibility of skills you could learn. ¡°Ok, that sounds pretty cool. Thanks for that.¡± ¡°Anytime buddy.¡± After the little talk with Mira, i go back to focusing on my psionic abilities in my mind. I begin to think up of ways to use it. If psionics focused on the power of the mind, would that mean i could potentially enter the minds of others. Could i make an attack that focuses on the mentality of my enemy. What about making them think their allies are actually their enemies and have them fight their own. There truly were lots of possibilities for new skills. To my surprise, by the time i had created a few new abilities, i was awoken from my state of deep thought by one of the wolves from the Iron Fang Clan. Apparently it was the afternoon of the next day and the feast was now starting. Damn, that had to be the deepest i¡¯ve ever been in thought. ¡°But not as deep as i was in your mom, OOOOOOOOHHHHHH!¡± ¡°Booooo, bad joke was bad.¡± I said while grinning. I had made my way to the opening to which i found to my surprise, the rest of my group surrounded by those they had evolved from. Many of the Wolves had been talking to the Nox Kobolds, wondering what they were, and asking how strong had they become. Ruby was busy with the horned rabbits that lived here that were also wondering the same about her. They had very rarely seen an Armored Hopper, let alone a Rubby Gemmed variant. Each member was being attacked with question after question about how they managed to evolve into such powerful monsters. It was quite funny seeing how they were handling it. Ruby was gladly answering all their questions. From the way she was explaining how our adventures went, i was pretty sure she was exaggerating just a bit, especially when she told them that i had fought a giant C. Jungle Vine Wolf as tall as a tree all on my own. Draven was sitting on a stump, telling those around him a more serious version of their out adventure with Daxius, Rex and Fang by his side, agreeing with him on certain parts and adding their own parts. Blitz was running around trying to avoid being questioned. I guess he got tired of it already. Rogue had actually managed to stop everyone from asking her any more questions and was actually showing some of the younger monsters how to fight, which was pretty smart seeing as to how we were going to need lots of fighters if we wanted to take out the Monster Alliance, which reminded me. I¡¯ve got a few questions to ask Ruby about the Monster Alliance. I waited until the rabbits stopped asking her question when i finally called her over to me by some trees on the perimeter of the clearing and began to ask her my questions. ¡°You called master?¡± ¡°Yeah, i wanted to ask you a few things. Remember when we first met, you told me about how the Monster alliance was only made up of a few types of Monsters? How come now i¡¯m being told that they are made up of three huge clans now?¡± ¡°Oh, that would be because i was actually talking about just a small faction from the Alliance that i wanted us to meet up with. They are one of the only factions in the alliance that help out the other monsters, though because of that, they aren¡¯t really treated fairly by the other factions within the alliance.¡± ¡°Huh, ok, that was all i wanted to know, you can go back now.¡± ¡°Yes, i hope that was the answer you were looking for.¡± She said as she hopped away. Oh yeah, that was definitely something i wanted to hear, i thought to myself as a mischievous grin appeared on my face. ================================================ Also, if you know and have played any of the XCOM games, then you know what hell is. Let this next statement sink in. "95% missed" Chapter 13: Battle Prep I walked back into the clearing to find everyone had been given mats made from oven silk that would have made any member of royalty jealous and here they were being used to fold raw meat. The meat was dripping in blood from how fresh they were. If i had to guess, they were from earth boars from the size of the chunks. As i was taking to the center of the clearing where the rest of my group were, i was pleasantly surprised to see that a small pit fire had been made by where they had pointed out to be where i was to sit, prepared to allow me to cook my own meat if i wanted to. I sat down and ate, the meat was good, but without spices, it wasn¡¯t the very best I''ve had, but i did not want to disrespect them so whenever i had been asked how everything was, i would always respond with saying that everything was great. They offered juices from fruits in bowls made from the trees around us. The bowls were pretty well made for monsters with no thumbs. It was a great time, many of the monsters were having fun eating away at their portions of meat, or vegetables if they were vegetarian. After a bit longer of eating, i was able to talk to the Alpha Wolf in charge of the Iron Fang tribe to learn more about the situation the Monster Clans were in. It would see that starting a couple cycles ago, three powerful clans had formed a makeshift agreement of peace, and instead of fighting each other, began taking over the lands of other smaller clans. What started as an island with over a hundred clans, there were now only a dozen or so, with three being the clans that had caused this all. The clans i was with now were all mixed with different monsters due to the need for smaller clans to survive by mixing with other clans for protection and territory. The reason they want me to help is because they sensed something powerful within me, and now that they know that i have the ability to use my own mana to evolve others, they wish for me to evolve enough of them to their next evolutions so that they can stand a chance against the Monster Alliance. Over the next few weeks, i would be working on evolving monsters from every clan, giving them an elite force that they would each have. Each having something that made them a true force to be reckoned with when compared to any other monster on this island. I created more Nox Kobolds for a swift, brutal elite front line assault. I created Flaming Eagles from the Ember Falcons, capable of firing fireballs that are a couple hundred degrees Fahrenheit, and that explode on impact with a splash radius of ten feet. Their bodies are able to produce a coat of flames that cover their entire bodies and not just the ends of their wings as they normally do, allowing them to burn any enemy that tries to attack them directly. The Mountain Bears were created from the Stone Plated Bears, Making them bigger than myself, with a fur coat that made them look like enormous boulders. Attacking them is like attacking a mountain. The average man or beast would feel their entire bodies tremble from hitting something so hard, their own weapons would break from a single strike alone. Only the strongest of beast on this island would be capable of causing any damage to these monsters. Though in order to compensate for this they were quite slow moving, which made them all the more tank like, which is the role i placed on them. For the Vipers and Spiders, i decided to dabble a bit with one of the functions of my title, Psionic Prime, when making their evolution. The function i was talking about was the ability to unlock the psionic potential of a any being that has potential in it. I created a sort of espionage type units with them. For the vipers, i gave gave them the ability to burrow underground at fast speeds by coating themselves in a corrosive toxin that melts everything from soft soil to steel. What made them psionic was that those that i evolved based off of their psionic potential gained the ability to take control of another by simply concentrating on their intended target that is within a few feet of them, who must also have a lower intelligence stat. Their scales had a dark purple hue to them at the edges with the rest of each scale being a dark green that blends into them. For the spiders, i made a smaller version of them, about the size of my thumb, while making them completely black with purple spots sprinkled around them. What made them special was that they gained the ability to use their poison to enter the minds of others, causing them to hallucinate, seeing their enemies as allies and their allies as enemies. The spiders would have the ability to control what their target sees from a distance once they have successfully injected them with the poison, and may even delay the effects till a chosen time. Again, this ability¡¯s effectiveness would be determined by the targets intelligence stat. Over the weeks, i had constantly been honing my mind while recharging my mana in between evolution, and had gotten a better understanding of my new abilities, and had even begun to use it to sense things i never usually sensed. If i focused hard enough, i could vaguely sense all the minds around me within a couple dozen feet, and could feel who had their psionic abilities opened by me, and who did or did not have potential in it. For the horned rabbits, i had created many more Armored Hoppers. They were going to perform the widely known strategy of blitzkrieg alongside the Nox Kobolds. They were the fastest out of any of the land based monsters that were at my disposal. Lastly, i also evolved a couple more Jungle Wolves into Direwolves, larger, more aggressive versions of their former selves, and what was really an interesting find was that they were capable of being mounts for the Nox Kobolds. With the Direwolves being the strong, intimidating mounts capable of speeds as fast as the Armored Hoppers, but were not as agile as them, and a Nox Kobold riding on top, that would most certainly scare anything that had to go up against them. A couple ruby variants of the armored hoppers that i had evolved from the horned rabbits had psionic potential in which i unlocked, revealing that they had the ability to use a weaker version of Soulfire, so they could deal some pretty good damage to even the most heavily armored enemies that we would face, Another surprise was that out of all the Nox Kobolds under my command, only one had psionic potential, and a very large amount of it in fact. I could already tell that with training, they could become almost as strong as me. It was during one of my meditations that i had finally felt their potential, and when i followed the direction that i had sensed it in, i was surprised to find that the source of it was Rogue. Of course after finding this out, i told her about her psionic potential to which she was very pleased to know and allowed me to enter her mind to unlock her abilities. The process to do so is quite strange. I would sit down in my quarters with the being that i was going to unlock their abilities. As i concentrated i would find and isolate the one being''s mind and focus on it. After a couple of seconds, i would be able to see their minds and be able to read it, with beings having a stronger potential at psionics having a more guarded, harder to read mind than those with little to no potential at all. With Rogue, i had a hard time just attempting to enter her mind, until suddenly her entire mind became open to me. It would seem that she has some ability to access her own mind without me even having to do much yet to fully unlock her true potential. With full access to her mind, i began to go through her mind, looking for the source of her psionic abilities which would be a small purple shine in the sea of blue which is a person''s minds surrounded by a space of pitch blackness. As i delved deep into her mind, i was able to find what i was looking for, a bright shining purple light, brighter than anyone else''s that i had ever tampered with. The next phases would be to infuse some of my psionic energies into hers, using it as a catalyst to accelerate her potential for growth in psionics, to which worked very well. Her psionic energies immediately increased, causing me to be glad and begin leaving her mind. After a few training sessions after during the weeks of prepping for the coming battle, Rogue had gained the ability to control minds, cause hallucinations, and learn a couple new abilities that had taken me days to perfect in which she learned within a mere few hours. Her growth was astounding. She learned to create small orbs of psionic energies that when thrown would become unstable the moment they were disconnected from their source and create a blast that would mentally and physically damage everything within a ten foot radius, to which i called, Psionic Grenade. Another ability i had taught her was, Psionic Blade. It would allow the user to use their psionic energies to create a blade of pure energy, in which its damage and cutting force was determined by its user¡¯s potential in psionics. Mine was already able to cut through any tree and rock, and had the look or a dark purple long sword. Rogue had made hers to look like a long curved dagger, with a purple haze coming off of it, making it look very ominous, in which a person should feel due to the effect that she somehow added on to it. If anyone was to be cut by her dagger, even a little scratch, she would gain the ability to begin warping what her opponent sees, making them hallucinate in mid fight, which would be deadly, allowing her to get in free hits while the enemy is confused. It took a few hours, but i was able to mimic her but instead of hallucinations, the effect i added was that it would affect the opponent''s body, causing it to stop any healing effects from working on wounds made from my weapon. In total, i had a force of around sixty Nox Kobolds, divided into six groups of ten, each with one of my personal Nox Kobolds as their captains who would relay the commands that i send to them through our links. Each Nox Kobold would be paired with a Direwolf to mount and charge into battle alongside with the Armored Hoppers who would be commanded by Ruby and the other Ruby Variant Armored Hoppers. They numbered at around a hundred with around twelve variants with Ruby leading them. They would charge in first, killing anything that tries to get in their way of reaching the main base of the Monster Alliance, which was the base of the mountains that were on the island which was discovered by the Ember Falcons that i had sent out to scout out the island from above. Behind them would be the tanks of my force, the Mountain bears, numbering at around two hundred, with another three hundred Stone Plated Bears backing them. Horned Rabbits, numbering at around three hundred and jungle wolves numbering two hundred with another thirty Jungle Vine variants would move in between all the groups, assisting with any that needed help to push forwards to the objective. I had another fifty Flaming Eagles and two hundred Ember Falcons for my areal force, providing aerial support in case i needed it. For the vipers and snakes, I had Psionic Vipers using their corrosive toxins to burrow a network of tunnels underneath the entire island so that all the snakes and spiders could travel quickly to different parts of the island where needed. While most of them do that, i will have a couple Psionic Vipers and Spiders begin taking control of enemy monsters or begin causing them to attack their own, while the other spiders and Vipers assist the main force. There were around five hundred Jungle Spiders, one hundred guardian types, one hundred Psionic Spiders, three hundred Vine Vipers, seventy five Poisonous Vipers, and fifty Psionic Vipers. From the report i had gotten from the Flaming Wing Clan members that i had sent out, the enemy had an estimated number of roughly thirty five hundred with from just those that can be seen, made up of Vipers, Jungle Wolves, and Bears. How their numbers are separated by types and variants, i do not know, which leaves me in the blind of how my strategy should work in case i face a certain number of a specific type of the monsters among them. I¡¯m pretty confident that my plan to have an underground network of reinforcements and keeping a mental link with all those who are in command of my forces will help to prevent any major problems, but as long as nothing very major happens, i should be fine. Charge in, destroy everything that gets in our way, leave small groups of forces to hold down areas we have taken, continue charging without stopping so they don¡¯t get a chance to regroup and quickly form a counter. Seems simple enough, just gotta hope nothing wrong happens, in which case with my luck, there''s definitely something going to happen. During all this, my stats had gone up due to taming so many monsters to my forces, both those in the fighting force, and those who are too young or old to fight in the coming battle.

I had leveled up a total of sixty one times, giving me three hundred and five points, and when i finished putting them where i wanted, boy did that level up have a kick. It had gone from feeling like a really good high to feeling every fiber of my body being torn apart and remade then torn apart again and rebuilt again. I could see ripples forming from every part of my body, as it had just gotten a huge improvement, greater than any it had gotten before. It was over in just a few seconds, no pain, no more ripples, just a sense of clarity. I could feel my entire body feel so much lighter than before. I could hear everything clearly to the point that my ears started hurting from the noise until i concentrated enough to be able to control how well i could hear. My muscles had become larger but just slightly, i could feel them becoming denser as they were growing, giving me more strength without the look of it, possibly making others think i was weaker than i was, which will be quite funny when it happens. I had also gained a few new traits and abilities, as well as upgrades to some pre-existing ones that should give me quite the advantage against anything i go up against. In just a few hours, the battle for this island is going to begin, and i''m going to make sure nothing gets in the way of me taking this island over for it is just the first step to ruling over this world. On the night we were going to begin our attack, i had already ordered all the vipers and spiders that would be participating to begin traveling through the underground tunnel systems and wait till they were need. The leader of the Emerald Fang, a King Jungle Viper, was going to travel along with them. He had to have his own personal tunnel around the island due to him being twice as thick as the biggest snakes which were already as thick as my arms, and he was long enough to wrap himself around five Nox Kobolds with no trouble if he wanted to. The leader of the Shining Silk clan was a Queen Jungle Spider who would stay by the cliffs to command the Spiders from afar. The Alpha Wolf in charge of the Iron Fang clan would be charging in with the the Nox Kobolds, Direwolves and Armored Hoppers. The Leader of the Stone Fur clan would be in charge of placing small groups to reinforce and hold territories that are taken by us to make sure that no enemies appear from behind the front lines. I will observe from the sky with the new wing trait i had gained from the Flaming Wing clan, Wings of the Flame Winged Clan, alongside with the fighting force that come from their clan. My aerial units will provide support from above to areas that are going to charge into large groups of enemies so their fireballs can be more effective. Once everything was prepped, i stood above everyone with the respective leaders of each clan on the tops of the cliffs, looking over the entire fighting force. ¡°Today, you are all going to fight to remove the oppression of those who would dare say they are better than you, when it is in fact the other way. You are all far more superior than those imbeciles. With my help, you will take back that lands that were taken from you all, and gain even more. With my help, this whole island will belong to us, and with time, even more will be under our control. I will make you all stronger, faster, better than beyond anything others could ever hope to become. I will bring fear to those who oppose us, and to those who follow me, i will bring glory. Now then¡­..WHO IS READY TO KILL SOME FUCKERS!¡± I say while raising my Psionic Sword into the air. All together, more than two thousand monsters howl, screech, and yell out their fighting roars, prepared to fight to the death against an enemy that had taken what was theirs and ready to do the same to them. I activated Armour of the Stone Plated Clan, Wings of the Flame Winged Clan, and Ruby Edged. Stone armor appeared around me, with the chest piece, shin guards, and bracers out of a sturdy stone that was as strong as the Mountain Bears, with Hardened leaves for shoulder guards, boots, helmet and gloves. The wings that appeared were similar to those of an eagle with the embers of a fire falling off from the tips of the feathers. With Ruby Edged, My ruby horn appeared, along with claws made from the same material. With these active, i looked like a fearsome beast that was prepared to bring death to all that appeared before me, causing all those who saw me to have a boost to their moral, knowing that their leader looked like such a beast and would be helping them in the coming battle. I took to the sky along with many Ember Falcons and Flaming eagles, and watched as the rest of my forces marched to their positions, ready for battle. The coming fight was going to be brutal for them, but if they can survive it, they would gain be able to show that they were ready to fight those who believed that monsters were simply stupid beast that were nothing but dangerous sacks of meat. For me, they were just another example of those oppressed by others due to power, which was not very rare back in the old world. Nox Kobold wearing its Hardened Leaf Armor Artist: http://mimakatsunai.tumblr.com/ Chapter 14: Island Takeover The Nox Kobold riders with their team leaders are riding through the jungle with Armored Hoppers by their sides. There were two places that needed to be taken at the same time in order for the entire force to continue on at the same pace. The lake and first of the three enemy clans main bases. The lake would be easy to take. Observation of the Flaming Wing clan have shown that not many high leveled monsters stay by the lake, the problem would be the base. I watched as my forces quickly overtook the lake with very few monster getting in their way, those who did were struck down quickly by either the teeth and claws of an Armored Hopper or by the spear of a Nox Kobold rider. As they arrived to the location of the first base, a fortified wall of vines could be seen blocking access deeper into the jungle. I immediately ordered for a barrage of fireballs from the aerial units, who caused the sky to look like it was raining fire on all those on the ground. The fireballs crashed down on the jungle walls, burning straight to the ground, giving the frontline easy access to the enemy''s position. Left and right, the Nox Kobold riders cut down anyone that got in their ways with the ruby spears i had made for them. The frontliners made their way towards the deepest part of the jungle, looking for the target clan leader we were looking for. From what we could find out, the first leader we were after was in charge of the jungle wolf clan, The Ragged Claws. He was another Alpha type Jungle Wolf, but much larger than the one that is in charge of the Iron Fang clan. He would most certainly make for a strong opponent, but first we had to quickly find him. A third of my forces had stayed to look for their leader while the others continued their advance on the next objectives. Next up would be the Monster Alliances source of food the, the Boar fields, which was controlled by the second of the three clans, the Stone Paws, which were primarily made up of stone plated bears. Their leader was a Much larger version of the Stone Plated Bears, with rumors saying that it could control the earth around it, making unsteady ground, and creating stone spikes come out of nowhere from the ground. I was watching from above when i received the message i was waiting for,¡°the Ragged Claws clan leader has been found!¡± i immediately flew over to where the message had been sent. It was in the deepest part of the jungle, where i found Nox Kobold Riders chasing after a large Alpha Wolf. It would seem all who were supposed to protect him were already dealt with seeing how there was a trail of corpses behind them all, none of which belonged to us. I took out one of my ruby spears, which now used spider silk to hold everything together, and brought it over my shoulder in throwing position. I began coordinating the Nox Kobold riders to lead the clan leader over to where there was a small clearing through the trees. Just as he was going to pass by it, Hunter¡¯s Vision activated, and i threw the spear. As it went soaring from the sky to the ground, the Alpha was not worried about it or even knew about the incoming spears till it was too late and it had gone right through its neck, pinning it to the ground. Just as i was thinking of throwing another due to it still trying to un pin itself, the Nox Kobold Riders arrived and brutally began stabbing him over and over and over again with their spear till the Alpha no longer even looked like a wolf and more like a sack of meat with furry bits here and there. With him taken down, all the wolves in the area under his command surrendered and allowed my forces to round them up and keep watch over them. They were quite afraid by the looks of it, they all had their tails between their legs as the Nox Kobolds stared them down until they were replaced by other Jungle Wolve to allow them to continue their charge across the island. I flew off towards the next area, awaiting for the news of the location of the next clan leader. From above, i saw as the Riders began having some trouble going through the Stone Plated Bears, getting knocked off their mounts by them. They were having trouble until the vipers began coming out of the ground. Immediately, many of the bears were struggling on the ground as they were constantly bit at and restrained long enough to give the Nox Kobold enough time to take them out. After a few more minutes, a loud roar was heard along with a very large Bear charging for where my troops were. At the speed he was going, nothing was gonna stop him from mowing down at least a couple dozen frontliners if nothing stopped him. I summoned my psionic blade, and activated the skill flame coat, causing the embers from the wings to begin sparking up into life, causing flames to cover my entire body. Once activated, i begin to dive down straight at him, steadily gaining more and more speed. From a distance, it would look like a flaming meteor was about to smash into a rolling boulder. I slammed into him, causing a loud impact that everyone in the area could hear, kicking up all the dirt and rocks in the immediate area. I had tried to thrust my blade in between two stone plates that protected his heart, but at the last second the bear had moved itself just enough to where my blade missed its mark, going through a stone plate and hitting him where there were no vital organs, leaving it with simply a bad wound. Due to the force we had hit each other, we had left a small indention in the ground beneath us, showing how powerful our collision had been. I let go of my blade and tore at him with my claws as he did the same. While removing my wings and adding on Fangs of the Iron Fang trait, i ripped off stone plates that protected its body and used my fangs to bite into his unprotected body. While doing this, he tried doing the same, and while i was already ripping off mouth fulls of fur and muscle, he was just able to bite off a few pieces from the stone armor i had on. It was after i was able to tear off one of his legs that he was finally able to get me off of him. He tried backing away, a look of fear in his eyes, knowing that he had just confronted someone who could easily take him on. Parts of his fur were still on fire, slowly burning parts of his body. I simply stared him down with crazed eyes, and a smiling mouth filled with blood, his blood. I had removed the section of the helmet that covered my mouth so i could use my fangs. It only helped to make me look like a ferocious monster that simply wanted to fight and kill. It knew that without one of its arms, it would not be able to make a run for it without me catching up to it and simply ripping it to shreds, so it took all the courage it had left and came charging right at me, knowing it was a suicidal attack. I created another psionic blade and rushed straight for his charge while a large grin appeared upon my face. He was much slower without his front most leg, allowing me to quickly move around him, while cutting him up, placing deep gashes in each of his legs, causing him to collapse onto the ground. I purposely aimed for just his legs so i could incapacitate him. I got closer to his bleeding body, his eyes filled with pain, fear, and anger. ¡°Arg, you piece of shit, just end it already. What are you waiting for! END IT!¡± I took my blade and slowly started making more and more gashes. Deep enough to make sure he felt them, but not enough to kill him quickly. Seeing as my blade also had the ability to cancel out any healing magic or abilities, he couldn¡¯t even try to regenerate from the wounds he had received. ¡°GAAAARRRRRGG, WHY, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS, JUST FUCKING END IT ALREADY! I finally stop cutting up what was once a body of a proud Clan Leader and got close to his face. ¡°Gotta make sure your clan knows who they¡¯re fucking with right? So why not use you as an example of what happens with anyone that either fucks with me or gets in my way right? I say in a quiet manner. This text was taken from Royal Road. I turned away from his corpse and stared at all the members of the Stone Claw Clan that were following him into battle. ¡°FOLLOW ME OR GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY!¡± One thing the the leader of the Stone Fur Clan had told me was, ¡°We bears follow those who show great strength. The ones who are always in charge are those who show that they have the strength to face anyone.¡± All the once enemy bears remained still, looking at each other wondering what to do, when one by one, they each started to bow their head to me, showing that they had seen my strength and were willing to follow my orders. A sinister grin appeared on my face as my helmet sealed itself once more. Two down, one to go, hehehe. I removed the Fang trait and added back on my wings and took to the air once more to meet up with the last of my forces that had made their way towards the islands mountains, the last of the enemy¡¯s territories. We had lost roughly only a few Nox Kobold Riders and their mounts, and maybe three hundred others, while another four hundred were injured and moved behind thefront linest safe spots that were set up for medical care of those too injured to continue on. Things over at the mountain weren''t going so well from the reports i was receiving while moving towards them, and looked worse when i got there. The clan that resided here, the Green Scale Clan. They were made up mostly of one of the deadliest monsters on the island, the Toxic Salamanders. They¡¯re large, dark green lizards about the size of a komodo dragon. Toxic Salamanders are capable of firing green balls of fire in straight lines for a short distance, or in arcs for longer range. Not only that, but once the fire begins to burn, the smoke released from these flames are toxic to just about anything that breathes them in, quickly causing major damage to their insides till they finally die from multiple organ failures. They had enough time to hear about our assault and were able to prepare themselves to defend their mountain. Once my frontliners were within their range, they had begun firing at them from the cave opening on the side of the mountains. Before i could lose to many riders, i ordered them to fall back and regroup with the riders coming back from the other two assaults. I then had the spiders and vipers tunnel their way beneath the ground, avoiding the toxic flames, and come out right in front of the ground and begin the assault while the Ember Falcons, and Flaming Eagles launched fireballs from above. While the salamanders were distracted by the incoming fireballs from above, they didn¡¯t notice the vipers and spiders coming from the base of the mountains until a couple salamanders had either gotten killed or poisoned to hallucinate that everyone around them was their enemy and start attacking their own. It wasn''t long till the Toxic Salamanders were over run by the vipers and snakes, who far outnumbered them. It also didn¡¯t help that some of their own were turned against them, which forced them to kill their own, reducing our losses while increasing theirs. It only took a couple of minutes before their leader, the King of the Toxic Salamanders came out from the cave systems within the mountain. He had to be as large as one of the mountain bears, with a green slime coming off of his skin which i was pretty sure was going to be bad if i got any of it on me. He was black with dark green stripes going across his slick, scaly body. His claws were at least an inch long with green tips which could mean that they also had a poison within them. We weren''t even fighting yet and green flames could already be seen coming out from the corners of his mouth as he made his way out of the mountain. I ordered for everyone to stay away from him as i made my way towards him. I created a couple of psionic grenades and tossed them towards the King Toxic Salamander. As they explode, kicking up dirt and dust, i quickly move behind the salamander and bring out my psionic blade to cut him straight down the middle. Just as i get close, a ring of green flame suddenly appears all around causing me to immediately back away in surprise. My surprise gave him enough time to turn around in the dust and fire off a fireball at me, hitting me square in the chest. The fire burns away at my chest plate, burning it right off of me. His flames must also have a corrosive trait to them as well as the toxic fumes. I flew up higher into the sky and when the dust finally settled, saw that my psionic grenades had managed to remove a couple good chunks from his body his rear right leg. It still wanted to keep fighting because it began to rapidly fire smaller sized fireballs at me. Each one being able to dodge. I let him continue trying before i finally concentrated an even larger amount than needed of psionic energy for a larger version of my psionic grenades. Instead of being the size of an apple, it was now the size of a cantaloupe. I chucked it in his direction, and once it had reached him, i remotely detonated it right before his face, everything within twenty feet was completely vaporized, and turned to dust, and a purple haze coming off from the ground. I rose higher into the sky and stared at all the remaining Toxic Salamanders. ¡°JOIN ME OR DIE!¡± Normal sized psionic grenades appear all around me, prepared to fly off in every direction i tell them to go. The salamanders know what they are from what they saw previously and all surrendered to me, and with this the final enemy clan leader was killed making the entire island mine. After all the captured monsters were finally rounded up, those from the Ragged Claw Clan were integrated with the Iron Fang Clan, and those from the Stone Claw Clan were integrated into the Stone Fur Clan. I had the Green Scale clan stay as its own clan, but with a new leader that i had chosen from among them. Once that was all settled, i had everyone rally to the islands flat fields, and spoke to them. ¡°Yesterday, many of you were once enemies, constantly fighting over territory from each other. No longer will that be necessary. Under my rule, you are all part of the same territory, one that is strong and will continue to get stronger, and increase in size. You may each be a from a different clan, but under my rule, every clan is the same, and will be treated the same. There will be no discrimination by clan or race, or any of the sorts. Should there be any of it, it is to be immediately stomped out for that is what causes kingdoms to fall. In fighting over small petty things.¡± ¡°TOGETHER, WE SHALL DOMINATE THOSE WHO STAND ON THEIR OWN BY SHEER NUMBERS AND STRENGTH. WE WILL FIND THEIR WEAKNESS, AND WE WILL USE IT TO COMPLETELY BRING THEMTO SUBMISSION, UNTIL THEY BEG US TO TAKE THEM IN, AND WE USE THEM TO STRENGTHEN OURSELVES UNTIL EVERYONE IS A PART OF US. MAKING US THE LARGEST RULING EMPIRE ON THIS PLANET!¡± From all around, the monsters from the fields roared out in unison, showing their loyalty for me, and our new empire. This united roar would only grow stronger with time, and in the future, be a war cry that sends chills into the backs of all who opposed it. For example, at that very moment that the unified roar was made, every member of a large vessel that had just anchored near the beach of the island had almost wet themselves when their entire boat and the water around it vibrated from the sound of a horrific roar made from the who knows how many monsters. Chapter 15: Encounter of the Clutzy kind Hey guys, sorry about the long wait, lots of school work, but here ya go a new chapter, so hope you enjoy.
It''s been two week since my takeover of the island, and so far everything''s gone fine. Any monsters that defied me are taken cared of, the birthrates of all the monsters has gone up due to having no competition for food or territory and a safer environment for the young to be raised. The boars have been placed on allocated plots of land to create a type of farming system where a controlled amount of them would be placed to be eaten and the other to be raised to create more, creating a stable food source for the other monsters. All tier one monsters have been evolved into their tier two forms, increasing our fighting power except for the spiders who needed tier ones in order to do the work that the tier two type spiders could not do. A great thing about making many evolve into their next tier is that now whenever a child is born from a pair of tier two parents, they will begin straight from the tier their parents are in, in this case, tier two. There is only a slight increase in the amount of time needed to give birth to the children, but their fighting power is already greater than what it would have been if they were a maturing monster of their respective tier one form. An interesting thing i discovered was that the jungle wolves that were Jungle Vine variants evolved, they became Nox Kobolds that could naturally use earth magic just like Draven, and those that became Dire Wolves that could summon multiple vines at once as well as have slight control of the earth around them, creating small walls or spikes from the ground when they needed them. I would come to call the Variant Nox Kobolds and Dire Wolves my Earth Specialist. I was doing the same as last time, evolving monsters, and then meditating while i regenerated and repeat. Near the end of the second week, i had finally managed to accomplish what i wanted to learn. I was able to clearly feel the space around me without having to be in a meditative trance. With this, i began to mess with my psionic abilities and tried to shift the space around. By practicing this in my room, i had begun to be able to warp a small area in front of me, about the size of a marble. With some more practice, i could create different skills based on this, maybe small black holes or similar things, but that would take more time and practice in order to do so for now, being able to warp the space around me and stabilize it once more is fine. Before when i had started and couldn¡¯t stabilize a warped space, it would restabilize itself which would cause an explosive force that would slam me against the walls, which would sometimes break a rib or two, causing me to have to rest for a while before starting again. There¡¯s also the new addition to abilities and traits that i can use now after taking in the Green Scales clan such as Lungs of the Green Scale Clan, which allows my body to be able to clean the air i breathe of any toxic chemicals and Flames of the Green Scale Clan, which allows me to create green flames that also creates smoke that is dangerous to anything that breathes it in without protection against it. At the end of the second week, i finally distributed the stat points i had gained from leveling.

It was after this that one of the Flaming Eagle scouting groups i had sent out came to me in quite the hurry. ¡°My lord, we return from scouting the northern end of the island as you have instructed us and we bring important news!¡± ¡°What have you found?¡± ¡°A large vessel has landed on the beach, and many unknown individuals have gotten off, with an unknown amount possibly within the vessel itself.¡± ¡°How many have you spotted near the ship?¡± ¡°At Least four dozen have been spotted and another dozen on the deck of the ship.¡± ¡°Hmpf, looks like i finally get to meet some of the people of this world. You did well to inform we quickly. Send word to the troops to gather in the fields.¡± ¡°Yes my lord!¡± A slight grin appeared on my face as i''m thinking, ¡°I¡¯m finally going to meet those that live on this world. I wonder how i should introduce myself? Greetings, my name is David, and i am the lord of this island and all of the monsters here¡­¡­...nah i can¡¯t say something like that, sounds stupid.¡± ¡°I thought it was quite nice, makes you sound like an actual ruler, hehehe.¡± ¡°GAH! Fuck, you gotta stop just popping into my head at random times like that, i was seriously thinking right now.¡± ¡°Hehehe, it''s just so easy to get you, that''s like the 10th time just this week, and about introducing yourself, just relax and be you, not like you got anything to worry about, with the strength you have, not many should be a problem for you." ¡°I guess you''re right about that. Welp, i better get going and meet up with the troops and give them their orders for what we are gonna do with these visitors.¡± Using the mental network Mira had made for me, i contacted my main followers to meet up with me as i made my way through the air to the fields, having wings is so convenient, makes traveling so much quicker. Once i had arrived, my entire fighting force had already gathered, including my main followers. I waited till everyone settled down before giving them their new orders. ¡°Greetings soldiers, it would appear that outsiders have finally arrived to our island, and whether they are friendly or hostile is yet to be seen.¡± The moment i had talked about outsiders, everyone had a face of both fear over outsiders and excitement at the possible chance at fighting a new possibly stronger enemy. ¡°As of right now, i will make my way with a select few to interact with these outsiders while the rest of you shall remain ready to attack at a moment''s notice should the hostiles prove to be hostile. With the many tunnels built in that area the vipers and spiders shall remain underground and ready to strike while the Nox Kobold Riders remain at a distance from us of around five hundred meters. Behind them i want Nox Kobolds and Mountain Bears ready to charge in as well with the Armoured Hoppers moving between both waves assisting wherever they can. Behind that i want Toxic Salamanders ready to open fire on that vessel should they try to escape, i will send you message for when to fire through out telepathic links. Is that understood?¡± ¡°Yes my lord!¡± They all responded with the same words. After being in charge of them all, they had all taken a liking to calling me their lord, which was pretty nice. I quickly made my way to the reported area of the our visitors with Ruby, Draven and Rogue by my sides. I had left Daxius, Rex, Fang, and Blitz behind to command the troops. It took us about four hours before we made it to where the Flaming eagles had told me where our visitors were. It as a beach on the northern end of the island, about 15 meters of sand was between the ocean and the tree line. We hid behind trees and bushes and observed them. There were at least twenty tents set up, with an average of two people per tent. I had a couple Flaming Eagles watching from above to report to me what i couldn¡¯t see from the ground. From what they were saying, every individual that had come off from the boat had not yet left the beach, so however many we see is how many are here. This book is hosted on another platform. As we observed them, we saw a mix of different looking beings, some were light skinned with pointy ears, some had large horns scales, and tails. It was pretty freaky seeing it at first, but after reminding myself the shit i already went through and seen, i got used to seeing all these weird appearances real quick. What really surprised me though was the looks on many of their faces. They look terrified as hell. Every once in awhile they would steal a quick glance into the jungle, as if expecting something to just jump out at them. I wonder what had them spooked that much and if i should be a little wary as well. As we waited, i listened to the ways they spoke, i would have expected them to each have a different language because of how different they all looked but was surprised to see that they all spoke a common language. I couldn¡¯t understand it till Mira popped into my mind with a solution to that. ¡°If you wanna learn what they¡¯re saying, just listen for a bit longer until i can create a language deciphering program for you. The more languages you read or listen to, the better i can make it so you can easily read, write, speak and understand all kinds of languages.¡± ¡°Great, then i guess i¡¯ll just keep listening until you can get that made.¡± It didn¡¯t take long to finally start understanding what everyone was saying. It was maybe half an hour after i had talked with Mira that i began to understand bits and pieces of what they were saying. After about another half hour i was finally able to understand them and found out something quite funny. It turned out that the whole reason they were so afraid was because of the loud unified roar we had done when i made that one speech in front of my new people two weeks back. I had to struggle from laughing to hard or else be spotted by the few brave visitors that were patrolling the camps. After a quick laugh, i got back to seriously watching our new visitors the entire night till the sun rose again. It was in the morning that we finally saw someone that must have been in charge of everyone because wherever they went, someone else followed them around and everyone moved out of their way and looked at her with respect and admiration. She was quite the looker too. She had long flowing silver hair, her ears were pointed to which Mira had told me was a defining feature of the elves. Her eyes were slightly slanted, with silver irises that made them seem like a shining silver platers. She had to be at least six foot and she wore what i would call a badass outfit. She wore a dark green leather jacket that was gold trimmed with a large rapier at her at her side that seemed to shine from the morning sun, almost blindingly so. At her waist beneath the jacket were multiple belts with pouches attached to them filled with who knows what and beneath all that was a back cloth shirt that went up to just about where her collar bone was. She had quite the body, with breast that weren''t too big but also weren¡¯t to small, just the right size that probably wouldn¡¯t cause her back problems while also being able to attract the gazes of men which she did from the looks of the people around her were giving from the corner of their eyes. Even with the thick clothes she wore, I could tell that her body was fit, her muscles could be seen beneath, and she especially showed off her strength when a couple of guys with horns which Mira told me were draconians were struggling with lifting a heavy crate to which she swooped right in and basically lifted the damn thing almost by herself. What shocked me most though was what i overheard from her conversation with the person who always followed them around when she started getting near us. ¡°Princess! I really believe we should just forget about this island and look for another. Don¡¯t you remember that roar some time ago. Whatever had caused that is something we most definitely are not prepared to take on. We should pack our things and¡­.¡± ¡°Lizzy! Enough with your worrying! And didn¡¯t i say not to call me princess while we are out of the kingdom''s territory. I¡¯m tired of those old fools doing everything they can to preserve their ¡°perfect order¡±. I left that title the moment i left the Elven Kingdom. So don¡¯t ever call me by that title ever again, it''s Captain now, and i am not going to miss out on an adventure just because of a simple roar that came from who knows where on this island. If anything, it only makes me want to explore this island even more." This loud and energetic person turned out to be an elvish princess, or was an elvish princess by the sound of it. Not quite sure what could have caused her to leave behind her title of being a princess, but i liked her spirit to explore and decided that i would definitely make her one of my new friends. Her friend that she had just talked to seemed to be almost the complete opposite of the ex-princess. She was very nervous, and constantly looking around, with loud noises making her jump. Her feline ears were constantly twitching as well, and her tail was tucked between her legs. She looked quite nervous after what the ex-princess said to which was seen by her friend who seemed to notice what her outburst had done. She proceeded to hug her to calm her nerves which seemed to work since she seemed to calm down. ¡°Look, lizzy, you knew that the whole reason we came out here was to go on adventures, and not have to be confined in a castle with rules upon rules restricting what we can do. We can¡¯t just let every little thing scare us off. Now come one, let''s go take a look and see what''s in this jungle, we might find some interesting things in there. With a now determined look in her face, she agreed with her friend. ¡°Ok, you have a point, i¡¯ll go get the exploration team ready to go.¡± ¡°Great, i¡¯m going to go take a look inside the jungle, i won¡¯t go too far, just bring the others over that direction when you''re all ready." Great, this is my chance to introduce myself with this person. I use my mental link to communicate with my followers. ¡°Alright, lets go follow her. Keep quiet and try to stay around her, don¡¯t do anything unless i say so.¡± They all nodded in agreement and followed as i ordered. It didn¡¯t take to long for her to make it far enough into the jungle that you couldn¡¯t hear the campsites she had come from. I was up in a tree just a few feet away from her, Ruby was behind her, with Rogue and Draven on either side of her. It seemed that she had yet to figure out what was going on around her, so it made it all the easier to enact my plan. Ex-princess POV This is so exciting, i''m finally able to go on an adventure, and on an undiscovered island no thought. This jungle so beautiful. The sun shines through the open spots in the canopy of the trees, making rays of sunlight look like rays from the heavens shine to light my path. While taking in everything i saw around me in wonder, i didn¡¯t pay any attention to where i was going and managed to trip myself over a root sticking out of the ground. ¡°Woah!¡± BANG! ¡°Ah, fucking damnit.¡± I landed right onto my face straight into my face. Just as i was getting back up, the sound of laughter began right above me. Just as i looked up, someone jumped down from the tree, or more like fell from the way they landed. David¡¯s POV As i was watching her, waiting for her to walk near me so i could introduce myself, i saw a root sticking out of the ground right in front of her path. I thought she would have seen it until she finally tripped on it and slammed right onto her face. Once i saw that, i couldn¡¯t help myself and burst into a fit of laughter. ¡°Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!¡± ¡°God damn, you alright there, your face went straight for the dirt, i thought you had seen that root and avoided it.¡± After i had finished my laughing fit, i got down from my branch and hopped right in front of her. ¡°Here, let me help ya up.¡± I held my hand out to her to help her back up from the ground. She looked at me with a look of surprise most likely from finding out someone else was with her, and then became red faced and teary eyed when she finally realized what just happened. She took my hand and then immediately took a few quick steps back and took out her rapier. ¡°Oh come on, really, you¡¯re gonna take your sword out on me, i don¡¯t even have a weapon on me and i just helped you up. How am i threatening to you huh?¡± I waved both my hands into the air slowly to show i had no weapons on me, to which she simply continued looking at me with teary eyes. She continued to hold her rapier at me, and continued to keep her face at an angle to where she could still look at me while hiding as much of her face as possible. ¡°Come one, let''s put the pointy shiny metal stick of death down, and let''s talk this over. I get it, you''re probably embarrassed that i saw you slam on to your face into the dirt from a root that anyone could have seen if they were paying attention.¡± ¡°Uh, David, i think you should rephrase that cause you may or may not have just made her more embarrassed by reminding her what just happen. Could be just me, but i think her face just got even redder and her grip on her rapier just made her knuckles go white and¡­..OH SHIT DUCK!¡± ¡°OH FUCK!¡± Just as Mira was trying to advise me on how to talk with the elf, she shot right at me with her rapier pointing straight for my heart. The only reason i survived her attack was because Hunters Vision quickly activated and with my high agility, i was able to easily get out of its way. Just when i thought i was safe, her heels immediately dug into the ground and she made a tight turn to face back at me, and quickly aimed to strike my heart again. ¡°Ugh, come one, i was just messing with you, calm down already. Quit acting like a little kid.¡± I summoned my psionic blade and swung it upwards and it slammed right into her rapier, cracking it and causing it to fly right out of her hands. This must have finally woken her up from her little fit because she had a face of pure surprise and yet again, tripped on the same damn root in the same damn place. Again, she fell right on to her face, but this time with so much force she actually knocked herself out. ¡°Hey, you alright? Hello?¡± I knelt next to her body to check on her and saw that she had actually knocked herself out. ¡°How the hell do you trip on the same root twice and knock yourself out in the process? Uhg, looks like i''m gonna have to carry back to her group. Wasn¡¯t exactly how i saw myself introducing myself to them, but i guess it''s a conversation starter.¡± I grabbed a hold of her body and carried her in the way most girls wish they could, the legendary princess carry. ¡°Humpf, huh, you''re lighter than i thought, guess my strength stat is pretty high to do this, hehe. Guess it''s time i get you to your friends. Rogue could you grab that weapon she dropped over there. Chapter 16: Suprise Lizzy¡¯s POV It wasn¡¯t long to gather up the exploration team. They were a group of well trained adventurers that the Captain managed to round up along with the whole crew for the ship. It was lucky that her mother was nice enough to give her so much gold before she helped us sneak away from the kingdom. Many of the crew were soldiers that served under the Captain when she was a princess, including myself, so that also helped us to hire more experienced crew men. Once we had enough experienced crewmen to lead those without experience we had set off to who knows what adventure awaited us. ¡°This way.¡± the Captain said she would look around the edge of the jungle over here. The group simply nodded and followed. 10 minutes later I''m starting to get a little worried, it''s been about ten minutes that we have been looking for the Captain and we still haven¡¯t found her yet. With every minute that goes by, Ikeep thinking of what could have happened to her. What if she fell in a hole? What if a monster got to her? WHAT IF SHE''S DEAD? ¡°Let¡¯s go look over here, we haven¡¯t checked over there yet. Come one, we have to hu¡­..¡± ¡°Hi! You guys missing someone?¡± Scarring me from my worried thoughts was a boy standing right in front of me. When he had gotten there Idon¡¯t know, but Icouldn¡¯t stop looking at him. He wore such strange clothes, that seemed to have seen much wear as they were patched up here in there with what looked like the finest silk i had ever seen. Wherever his skin showed, a perfect tanned color could be seen, and his body was thin, but muscular, i could tell that he had strength to him, and his brown hair was cut in a strange manner. While most men Ihad seen either have their hair cut short or kept long, the sides of his were cut short while the top and back were long enough to allow him to make a pony tail. He wasn¡¯t to bad to look at at all, but what really caught my attention was what he was holding. In his arms was the Captain who seemed to be unconscious! ¡°Captain!¡± David¡¯s POV a few seconds earlier It didn¡¯t take too long to find a group of people that seemed to be looking for someone, most likely the clutz in my arms. I ordered for everyone to stick around me, but out of sight, and made my way towards the girl that seemed to know the one Iwas holding the most. ¡°Hi! You guys missing someone?¡± The look of surprise on the girl''s face was priceless. It was ass if a huge burden was lifted off of her. She immediately ran towards me screaming, ¡°Captain!¡± I slowly placed the women on the ground as her friend rushed to her side. Almost immediately though the others with her whipped out their weapons, which was a mix of long swords, bows and daggers. ¡°What is up with you guys and always resorting to violence first? I mean it¡¯s not like Ijust saved one of your friends from dying out in the forest or being eaten by something.¡± ¡°Stand down! He¡¯s not a threat¡­¡­.I think. Who are you and why was the Captain with you? ¡°Well finally someone who is actually reasonable and doesn¡¯t wanna kill me on sight.¡± ¡°My name is David, and Iam Lord of this wonderful island, at your service.¡± I saw while slowly raising one arm into the air, and the other bent into my chest while bowing. ¡°T-the lord of this island?¡± ¡°Why of course, Ifought my way into leadership of this island, and is why i''m here right now. I''m here to see if you guys are friendly are not.¡± I say with a grinning smile on my face. ¡°Ok, well we¡¯re just an exploration group, we don¡¯t mean any harm to you or your island. We just came to take a look around.¡± ¡°Wonderful! I¡¯ve been hoping to finally get some visitors, and now i don¡¯t have to kill you all.¡±I say still with a grinning smile on my face. The color could be seen to drain from all their faces when Ihad said that last part. All the armed guys increased their grip on their weapons as if expecting me to have lied and were getting ready to defend themselves. ¡°So, how can Ihelp you all?¡± ¡°W-well since you said you were the Lord of this island, could you help us make a safe place for our crew to camp in, maybe a small plot of land we could set up base, and possibly some food? We will repay you of course, whatever it is you want.¡± ¡°Psssshh, that''s easy, i¡¯ll have my people clear out a plot of land for you all, and give me a few hours to get that ready for you. Anything else Icould help you all with?¡± The look of utter shock could be seen on her face, she was probably surprised at how easily Ihad agreed to helping her, someone Ihad no idea who they were, and yet were willing to clear out some land for them to make a base and to give them food. She was so used to hearing how stingy lords and kings of lands and empires were when it came to these types of situations, and was surprised to find one that wasn¡¯t like what she had heard. ¡°U-uh no, that''s would be all for now, thank you very much for your help.¡± She said while quickly bowing. ¡°Great, i''ll come get you when the preparations are ready for you all to come.¡±This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. ¡°Y-yes, thank you very much once again!¡± As they walked back to their camp with their unconscious friend, constantly looking back at me, Isimply waved back at them with a smile. Anything Iwant huh? Hehehe, looks like i got a way off this island now. Now then, time to order that plot of land to be cleared. I could probably get that done fast with the help of a couple Mountain Bears and Nox Kobolds. Time to send out the order. It took around eight hours for a couple squads of Nox Kobolds and Mountain Bears to get to the specified plot of land Ihad chosen to clear out further up the beach. The Nox Kobolds used a couple Ruby Axes Ihad made to begin cutting down the trees. Those who were capable of earth magic were able to uproot the trees and make them easier to knock down, to which were tied to the mountain bears to be dragged off further into the jungle and stored in little storage areas Ihad built to keep unused supplies, like knocked down trees, or moved boulders. If i wasn¡¯t gonna use them, Icould probably use them for trade, or use them to create new buildings and housing, Iwould just need to develop the necessary tools needed to build them and make them usable for the monsters of this land. There was also the option to evolve a monster to be capable of using tools, but that would cost such an immense amount of mana it would take years to make enough that could be called a workforce that it would be easier to just do everything caveman style. It wasn¡¯t long till everything was cleared. We had about an acre of land cleared out and ready for use. It only took the entire morning and part of the afternoon because of the size of the workforce i had gathered to accomplish this. After everything looked ready, Ihad the meat, fruits and vegetables Ihad asked to be brought over placed in the center of the land and began making my way towards the visitors campsite. I really need to ask if they have a name for their group. As Iwalked into their camp, many looked at me with strange eyes. Some actually got scared of me and ran into their tents, thinking that would keep them safe. Others simply watched to see who Iwas. Everything was fine until a couple guys came wobbling by, their faces flushed, most likely drunk from something. ¡°Uh, hey kid. Hiccup Uh what are you doing here kid. This is not somewhere you should be. Said the first guy to the left. Hiccup ¡°Y-yeah kid. Get out of here before you get hurt¡± Said the guy to the right with a sinister smile. ¡°Hmpf, who the hell do you think your talking to. This is my island you''re on to begin with. I could have you all killed in an instant if i wanted to.¡± I said with an annoyed smile. God their breaths smelled bad of liquor, just how much did they drink for me to be able to smell it from a couple feet away. Hiccup ¡°W-why you, no one tells us what to do, especially no kid. Looks like you need a lesson in *hiccup* manners.¡± Said guy one as he clumsily pulled out a mace from behind him with guy two pulling out a short sword. ¡°Oh, so it''s a fight you want huh. I¡¯d be more than obliged to give you a fight. Hehehehe.¡± Just as i''m about to create my psionic blade, a loud shout was heard. ¡°God damnit Skull and Bones, what the hell do you think you are doing! Do you have any idea who that is you are threatening!¡± Damn, just as Iwas about to test my stats to see how i do against someone else, their Captain just had to but in didn¡¯t she. I quickly dispel the psionic energy around my hand and simply stand there with a smile on my face. Both of the drunkards immediately stand at a attention as their Captain comes by them. ¡°CAPTAIN!¡± ¡°You idiots! Didn¡¯t Itell you to stop getting drunk, the last time you guys got like this, we barely got you two out of the bar with your lives. Now get back to your tents, NOW!¡± Without another word, both men go off running back to where their tents were, leaving their Captain to turn around and face me. ¡°Sup. I¡¯m sure your little friend already told you about the little agreement we had, correct?¡± ¡°Why yes, and Iam most thankful for you assistance and for¡­.umm¡­.¡±Her voice became a whisper at the end. ¡°Could you repeat that last part, I couldn¡¯t hear you?¡± I say smiling cause i was pretty sure Iknew what she was going to say. ¡°I said...thank you...for not leaving me by myself in the jungle while Iwas unconscious, alright.¡± She said with a bit of a blush to her face. ¡°Haha, not a problem. Now hurry up and get your people ready, took my guys quite a bit of effort to get that land ready for you all, and not sure how long the meat will last without being cooked. Now let''s go, chop chop.¡± I say while already starting to make my way back to the cleared out jungle. ¡°Wait a minute, you''re already done clearing out the land? It''s only been a couple of hours, just how could you have cleared out enough land for all of my crew?¡± ¡°Haha, don¡¯t underestimate the power and speed of my people, just one of them could probably out perform one of you guys.¡± This last comment must have struck a nerve with some of the crew because many had a look of having their pride hurt and looked like they wanted proof of this statement. If only they knew that those they were competing against were actually monsters about twice their size at least. I simply made my way back to the new site while listening to the Captain giving out orders to her men. From the sounds of it, they were quickly packing up their tents and getting everything into crates so they could drag them over. It took them another two hours for them to get all of their things onto the beach in front of the area that had been cleared out for them. The look of surprise was quite evident on their faces. They must have thought that the amount of land they would have gotten would have been smaller for the short amount of time it took to clear it out. ¡°How were you able to clear all this out in a single day? The deal was just recently made yesterday was it not?¡± she said while a face of bewilderment. Hmpf ¡°My guys could easily clear out the entire northern part of this jungle in a week if they wanted too, but Idon¡¯t feel like making my guys do something so unnecessary and energy consuming. Now then, let''s get building shall we?¡± Just as the Captain was going to question me on my last comment, all around her, the sounds of rustling bushes mixed with yips and growls could be heard. After a few seconds, the entire area had become infested with monsters the likes they had rarely ever seen before. All around, the sounds of panic and despair could be heard as the crew fell into panic from having been surrounded so quickly without anyone noticing. The very few who could defend themselves and had their weapons nearby had already drawn their weapons, prepared to die knowing that they could never defend themselves from so many creatures. There were even the few that decided to risk swimming out to sea to get away from the monsters. ¡°HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! OH MAN, YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THE LOOKS ON ALL YOUR FACES! That guy over there even pissed himself, hahahahaha!¡± ¡°W-W-W-WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS! YOU SET US UP FOR A MONSTER ATTACK DIDN¡¯T YOU?¡± The look of anger and fear could be seen on the Captain''s face, as well as the others such as her little friend and their adventurer companions. ¡°Hahaha, please, if i wanted to kill you i could have done it so many times already.¡± I said with a sinister smile. ¡°As I told you before, i am the lord of this island. An island completely inhabited by nothing but monsters.¡± With that said, two Flaming Eagles perch themselves on either of my shoulders. ¡°Now then, let''s get to constructing that little base for you all. Don¡¯t want you all to sleep on the ground now do we?¡± Chapter 17: Im out of ideas for witty titles So it''s been awhile since Ifinally introduced the true meaning of my title of Island Ruler to the Captain and her crew. It took a while for them all to get used to having a shit ton of monster which would normally kill them without a second thought helping them out when it came to constructing their new home. It wasn¡¯t till a couple buildings were already finished due to the teamwork of the the Captain¡¯s crew and my monsters. Some were pretty damned scared of them while others learned just how much easier it was to ignore their fear and saw just how much quicker they could finish construction when they helped each other. The first and only building that has been finished being built was the town hall. It was nothing fancy, just a one story building with a main hall large enough to hold at least one hundred people, with an office like room in the back about 50 feet by 50 feet i had built for whoever was going to be placed in charge of this base, and a few more offices that were slightly smaller that were connected to the sides of the main hall by a small open path between the two. Once it was done, I decided to invite the Captain and her adventurer buddies to use on of the little favors they owed me. ¡°You want us to what?¡± I said, "Iwant you and your friends to teach me the proper techniques to fighting.¡± The captain and her main group of adventurers all stare at me with eyes of both surprise and suspicion. One of the hired adventurers even asked to why they should help. To which i replied, ¡°Well seeing as how Ihaven¡¯t killed you all yet and even allowed you all to make a small settlement here and supply you all with food, i would say you all owe me quite a bit actually.¡± With that said, most of their faces paled after being reminded how easily I could have them all killed with just a snap of the fingers. It didn¡¯t take the Captain long to come up with a response after thinking about the deal she had made with me. ¡°Is there a reason to asking for this favor?¡±she asked nervously. ¡°Not really, Ijust feel like learning how to fight properly and not just swing a sword around like an idiot.¡± ¡°I guess that¡¯s understandable. What kind of weapon do you want to learn to use exactly?¡± ¡°I¡¯ll probably be using swords for now, and after getting the basics i¡¯ll learn another, maybe the bow.¡± ¡°Alright, if you want to learn the basics about sword fighting, then it would be best you learn from old man Almar. He¡¯s in charge of training the crew on close combat, including sword fighting. If you give me a minute, Icould go get him right now.¡± ¡°Sure, go right ahead.¡± It wasn¡¯t long till she returned with the man she had mentioned before. He was a tall fellow, maybe 6ft. He had plated armour made of some material that looked like silver, but i''m pretty sure it has some magic enchantments in it to make it stronger and lighter for him to have it on all day, that or he was pretty damn strong to lug that shit around all day. He had long pointed ears, with one missing the tip, probably from a fight. His hair was long, about to his waist in length, and was a shining silver that you would think it was actual silver. His eyes were a dark emerald green, it was like staring into a dark brush in a forest. He had a long sword on his back that looked like it was also made out of silver with carved designs on the blade. Man, elves must really like silver to have it on everything, i mean, this dude is pretty muched decked out in silver and the Captain has a silver rapier which Imay have accidentally broke, and Ican tell there''s some silver on her boots and gloves. ¡°This is Almar, he was the Commanding officer of the knights that served under me back in the Elvish Kingdom. He knows quite a bit about swordfighting and close quarters combat.¡± ¡°You humble this one with such kind words.¡± He says while slightly bowing to the Captain. ¡°Hi there Almar, my name is David.¡± I say while extending a hand to initiate a shake. ¡°Greetings lord David.¡± He says while accepting my hand and shaking. ¡°I hear that you are in need of someone to teach you the ways of the sword and close combat, am Icorrect?¡± He says after releasing my hand. ¡°Why yes, you wouldn¡¯t mind teaching this one in combat would you?¡± ¡°Of course not sir, not after how you have graciously given us a place to call home while we are here and have given us so much in assistance.¡± Oooohhh, this guy''s good. He knows exactly how to talk to someone of higher standing that would make him look good. I can tell by the slight smirk on the edge of his smile and the constant closing of one of his fist that he is keeping close to his side. He must not like me that much. Maybe it has to do with me threatening everyone with death, maybe. ¡°Great, let''s start training tomorrow. That sound good to you?¡± ¡°Of course, that would be fine with me.¡± ¡°Great, now then, which one of you can teach me magic. I¡¯m fine with any type, combat, support, Idon¡¯t really care as long as it''s useful.¡± ¡°I specialize in wind magic, mainly combat type spells, but Ido know a few support type spells.¡± ¡°Um, Iknow a variety of support spells, from healing to body enhancement spells that Ican teach you if you want.¡±Lizzy says while hiding behind the Captain''s back, just slightly sticking her head out from behind her shoulder. One of the adventures wearing a dark hood also joins in telling me that they specialize in fire magic, with both combat and support type spells they could teach. ¡°Great, i¡¯ll have each of you teach me one day, have the next day to rest, have another one of you teach me, and repeat the process of having a break day. That way Ican train all day with one of you, and rest the next. That work with all of you?¡± Everyone agreed that the schedule would be fine, so once all the finer details were finally done with, Iexcused them all to leave except for the Captain, Ihad a few questions Iwanted to ask her. Lizzy and Almar were a little reluctant to leave her alone with me, but the Captain assured them she would be fine, so they finally left the office, leaving the Captain and myself alone together. ¡°So what is it you want that needed us to be alone?¡± She says with a suspicious gaze. ¡°Well first of all, I just wanted to get to know you better. Seeing as how i''m giving your and your crew land on my island to make a base of operations while you''re here and supplies to survive. I was tired of having to go by the rules of old men who always saw themselves as the superior race. Constant rules against the contact of other races, saying they would taint our ways of life, saying they were simply savages while we were superior in every way to them. I was tired of constantly being reminded that Imust marry myself to someone of noble blood. Every man my father has tried to marry me to have been either arrogant, idiotic beyond belief, immensely older than me, or a combination of everything. The only things Icould do that helped me deal with the stress was when Isnuck to the training grounds and had Almar teach me the basics of fighting. Through training, Iwas able to relieve myself of all the pent up stress, pretending that the training dummies were people like my father or those he tried to marry me off to. The biggest reason I hadn''t been married off was my mother, who would always find a way to convince my father not to go through with it.¡± ¡°But one day, my mother came to me in the middle of the night, telling me to quickly pack my things. I asked her what was wrong, but she wouldn¡¯t tell me till we were already in a carriage making our way to the castle walls and heading to the port town of Elswimer. She told me that my father had finally crossed the line of stupidity and had arranged a marriage for me with a noble man who was at least a hundred years older than me. He was to have me meet with them a week from now, so my mother has arranged for me and all the knights and servants who were placed under me to escape from the Empire.¡± ¡°At first I was confused at how we would do it, at least¡­.until we arrived at the port town. When the carriage stopped, I was surprised to find that my mother had already arranged the purchase of a ship with a ton a supplies for us, even crew members that were part of the royal navy and adventurers to provide protection. She gave me a chest full of gold to keep me ready to resupply should our supplies run low, and had us set sail away from the kingdom. I used this opportunity to begin the life I always wanted, to explore new lands, to meet new people who weren¡¯t ignorant, arrogant elves. It wasn¡¯t till we were out at sea for over a month that we finally landed on your island. By now we had gone through quite a bit of our supplies so you helping us was quite the miracle, until it turned into a nightmare for us when you had your monsters appear all around us as if they were about to kill us. So that''s about it for me.¡± ¡°Now I have a question for you. How did a human child like yourself manage to find your way to a monster infested island and become the lord of all of them without dying? The nearest human empire is the Pyroxian Empire, and getting there from the Elven Empire is already a four month journey by boat.¡± ¡°Hmmm, I guess I can answer that question. First off, I didn¡¯t come from any of of those Human Empires. In actuality, i¡¯m not even originally from this world. I¡¯ve been summoned by the gods of this world to do whatever I want.¡± Aerith¡¯s face showed a looked of disbelief and surprise. Might be from me telling her i''m not even from her world. ¡°What do you mean, ¡®not from this world¡¯. Are you saying you just magically appeared here by the wills of the gods?¡± ¡°Exactly that. Your gods grew tired of you guys cause the major races of your world were always bitching about each other and then solving your problems by slaughtering everyone that wasn¡¯t of their race. So they decided to leave your sorry asses and decided to summon a random soul from another world, yours truly, to do whatever the fuck they want, which then leads me to why I am the lord of this island and hevn¡¯t died yet. Your gods gave me the special class of Monster Tamer which basically lets me befriend any monster as long as I gain their respect or loyalty in some way.¡± It took her a few seconds to finally process everything I had told her. She went from a look of disbelief, to one of shock, and finally one of utter fear. ¡°There¡¯s no way that''s true, why would the gods just abandon us like that. The gods would never abandon their creations. You''re lying, you''re trying to mess with my head aren¡¯t you!¡± ¡°Hmpf, give me a good reason for wanting to mess with your head. If I wanted to make you my plaything, I would have used other methods to achieve that already. I¡¯m just telling you what you wanted to know. I mean, come one, it can''t be all that bad being without your gods. Look at you, you managed to survive this long without even knowing that your gods had abandoned you, that just shows how you don¡¯t need them to live. As long as you have the will to survive and keep fighting, you¡¯ll be just fine. Now go on and go back to your buddies, just keep doing what you normally do, and don¡¯t think about this stuff. Just relax and go about your day. Tell ya what, a couple Armoured Hoppers just recently found a nice hot spring on the island, and if you and friends behave, i¡¯ll take you all to it, how does that sound, huh.¡± I say with a smile while already moving Aerith towards the door. She just walks without resistance until I stop her after she had passed the doorway of the office. After she was clear of the door, I shut it behind her and return to the desk and sit on the chair behind it. That look on her face looked pretty funny. Utter shock and disbelief that the deities she believed in had completely turned their back on not just her but every race on this damned planet. ¡°You know, you could have been a little nicer and not have told her that last bit about her gods abandoning her and everyone else. You don¡¯t know how religious she may have been. She might be crazy enough to kill herself after hearing this kind of information.¡± ¡°Well what do I care if she offs herself, one less annoying thing to take care of.¡± ¡°Oh come on, don¡¯t be like that, how else are you gonna get close enough to bang her if you''re making her think suicidal thoughts? That''s not exactly attractive in a man you know.¡± ¡°Whoever said anything about me wanting to bang her?¡± ¡°Oh c''mon, you know you want to. She''s got a pretty nice body, you would be stupid not to want to tap that.¡± ¡°Wow, you''re really perverted for an A.I., ya know that?¡± ¡°Meh, not my fault one of the gods that helped make me was a god of lust.¡± ¡°That would probably explain it.¡± Just as I was about to continue with our conversation, quick and heavy footsteps could be heard coming from outside the office. Just as I was going to get out of my chair to check what was going on, the door was quickly opened by Almar who seemed to be dragging a tied and gagged man with him. He seemed kinda nervous, sweat was already coming off of him, and it couldn''t have been from him just dragging whoever he had with him. I''ve seen him carry heavier looking things without a single drop of sweat appearing on his face. ¡°My Lord, i''m sorry for intruding but I must inform you of something very important.¡± ¡°Hmm? What is it you need to tell me. I''m guessing it has to do with the tied up guy that you brought with you?¡± ¡°Yes, it would appear that this man has been feeding information about us back to the kingdom, including our location through a magic tool that allows for long distance communication in exchange for an immense amount of mana that must be stored within it.¡± ¡°Ok, so what does this have to do with me? Shouldn''t you be telling Aerith about something like this since it deals with her?¡± ¡°Yes, but when the magic tool was given to our mage, he was able to read the message that was sent, and a part of it included how the princess is being aided by you.¡± ¡°And? Why should i be worried about that?¡± Almar released a tired sigh. ¡°The reason you should be worried is that the Emperor will be trying to take back the princess for the marriage he had arranged for her. She was to be married off to the second son of the second most powerful faction in the empire. Should the marriage succeed, the Emperor¡¯s faction would take in the other and create the largest faction in the entire empire. This would then in turn give him even more control within the council of representatives. He will do whatever he can to get her back, and now that he knows that a separate power is now sheltering her, he will send a naval force here to take her back by force if need be.¡± ¡°Huh, guess that would be a problem for me. About how much time do we have until this possible naval force arrives?¡± ¡°I would give it about a month sir.¡± ¡°Well then I guess I better get ready to welcome some more guests. You can go now Almar, oh, and leave our guest here, i¡¯d like to chat with him for a bit.¡± A sinister grin begins to grow from my face. ¡°Of course, Iwill be taking my leave and informing the princess of what has happened.¡± And with that, Almar shuts the door as he leaves the office. He doesn¡¯t even take five steps before he hears maniacal laughter coming from the room over the horrid screams of the man he had just left behind. On that day, Almar decided to try and not get on David¡¯s bad side if he could.
