《The Chain》 the first contact first ever story so be gentl with me I was sitting in my rundown, dusty loft wondering when I would get a raise, but that day would probably isn''t coming. My check wouldn''t be a problem but I have spent three months in this place and I can hear my neighbors having increasingly rough anal intercourse, every single night. I would ask them to be quiet but it isn''t Martha who is receiving and I don''t think George would appreciate my comments. I glanced at the clock across the room and cursed. It was almost nine P.M. They begin around nine every night, almost like clockwork. Just as they started what seemed like an especially rough night everything seemed to have come to a stop, no sex noises, birds outside my window, or the train three blocks away. I cautiously look around the room and don''t see anything at first glance, however I suddenly gaze in the corner of the room in surprise as the shadows coalesce into a being I can''t describe. It looks around my room in what my best would be boredom. It suddenly looked at me and said " Well are you coming". I blinked at it."Where".It vaguely gestured back at the corner and to my surprise an otherworldly portal manifested from the shadows. I looked at it and asked " Do I have a choice?" It shrugged nonchalantly. I looked around the room and then back at It."Do I need any of my things?"It looked around the room then back towards me"No".Well alright then, I thought."Then what are we waiting for". I state then walk uncertainly into the doorway. And I immediately fell to the floor in a heap. As I gingerly picked myself up I gazed around what appears to be an empty warehouse with a pedestal in the center ."this is your new home" stated It."Well that tells is informative" It instead of responding pointed at the pedestal.I walked to the pedestal and a binder appeared. I opened the binder finding a page with a basic description of he Avatar The Last Air Bender "That is a whole lotta pages to look through". It gazed at the book. "Then you best get started than". I looked at It "what is all this for?" It looked at me thoughtfully and said" you are know in a jump-chain".I looked at It and said" what the hell is that"?" Its were a omnipotent being such as myself picks a random person and puts them in different worlds and lets them gather allies and abilities until you get to the hardest setting you could survive, of coarse you can end the chain at the end of each world and keep all your abilities and items."I look at It in shock" And the friend I get ?" "They count as items" I shake my head thoughtfully." what about this?"I gesture at the binder. "That is where you get your items and abilities from, as you can see you get a stipend every world to pay for these things". I nod my head thoughtfully." I believe it is time for me to be on my way" I snap my head up and can''t even get a full word out" wai-".It snaps its fingers and with a resounding crack fades into the shadows. my head whirls in confusion. I opened the rest of the binder and flipped through my choices. I braced myself before stepping through this time . Just as I stepped out of the portal a stream of fire shot towards me.Just as it was about to hit my face a gust of wind knocked out the way. When I stopped rolling and swung my self up I notice I was in the scene where Ang first fought Zuko. Just I stepped forward and called out to Zuko Ang after briefly making a fool out of him called out. "If you promise not to hurt the villagers I will leave with you. Zuko seems to consider this for a few seconds " alright if you give yourself up I will leave this village alone". I cursed knowing this wouldn''t end well. I sighed and snuck up behind what appeared to be Katara and Soka. I watched behind them as they took Ang away in there ship. As they argued wether or not they should save Ang I cleared my throat and said " you would pack quicker if you would stop bickering ". They seemed suprised that someone was so close to them without them realizing it. Soka in his frustration at his his sister started yelling" WHO THE HELL ARE YOU " I hold up my hands in peace " I am the one who can guide you to Ang" Katara seeing her chance " how do you know where Ang is" she stated suspiciously. I chuckled and rubbed the back of my head " Technically I don''t , but I know who can get you to him " they seemed even more suspicious know." Who." Soka asked? I pointed at appa " him". The duo doubtfully looked at the sleeping creature " him" they Said simultaneously." Yes him" I responded resolutely. Katara looked at suspiciously and asked "who are you". I shake my head at there suspicions " well can''t really blame them can I" I thought."My name is Jonathan but you can call me Jon" . Soka stepped in this time and said" Well, Jonathan SHOW us how appa can lead us to Ang. I walk up to appa and get as close to his ear as possible and said in a clear loud voice " appa Ang is in trouble you need to wake up" as soon as I said Ang appa''s eyes opened slightly and all the way when I finished. Appa yawned and stretched than lowered his tail so we could climb on. I turn and look at their incredulous face and said " well are you coming" that seemed to snap them out of it. As they started loading there stuff I turned back to appa " you mind if I get behind the reins appa". Appa just responded in a long groan. I grin" I''ll take that as a yes " . When the others had loaded all the stuff they need up all the stuff. I grabbed the reins and said the magic words" yip yip". Appa came of the ground so suddenly I was almost thrown off. " which direction did the ship go" I asked. Katara immediately said "North". I nodded and said" Appa head north". Appa seemed to adjust his direction slightly. It wasn''t until a couple hours later that we found the boat and the avatar fighting on the top deck. Appa swooped down low and katara dragged Soka down with her onto the ship. The fight was just like it was in canon with Zuko being thrown in the freezing waters and Ang entering the avatar state. Not a chapter I realized that I don''t really like the way the story is going. So I''m going to rewrite it and take it a different direction ,mostly a darker story with a little bit of comedy thrown in.
