《The Skill Creator [Dropped]》


 Chapter 1 - Close Encounter

    I opened my eyes where was I? I looked around and noticed I was near shore. More importantly, who am I? I kept asking myself these questions I was confused, what is my purpose?


    I immediately stood up and started to stretch my legs and arms I could tell that I was is that lying position for a long time. My back was numb and my neck was aching but worse of all I was hungry, so much so that it was physically hurting me. If I walked my stomach would hurt that''s how long I went without food. This is dangerous I need to eat as soon as possible.


    Thankfully it was not dark so I took this as an opportunity to scout out the area to see if there was anything I could scavenge for food. I noticed a large tree near the shore I woke up on, I might be able to use it as a shelter if there are no other options. I climbed a small hill and noticed that there was a small forest in the distance and what looks like a small town.


    Maybe if I get lucky I will find something edible inside that town I said to myself in desperation. I spent around 10 minutes walking over to the closest building in the town it represented that of a small takeaway shop however you could tell that it was not perfect because the writing was slightly off and you could see scratches on it. The strange thing was I could not understand the writing that was on the building it must have been in some foreign language. Well, whatever language this was I now know that I''m not alone and there are other things out there that are intelligent enough to read and write.


    I walked inside the small building and there was nothing noticeable inside of it just a small spear that looked like it was carved out of one of the trees in the forest nearby. As I went to pick it up I noticed a window inside the building and through the window, I could see what looked like a berry bush with around a dozen fruits growing from it. When I noticed this I grabbed the spear and instinctively went towards the bush. As I went to grab one of the fruits growing from the bush I heard a loud moan.


    ¡°Arghhhhh¡±


    Something was here, I felt the feeling that I was being watched I looked behind me without a second thought and there it was. An intimidating creature with dark green skin that resembled that of the berry bush however in its eyes you could tell it was a creature that was hunting its prey. It wanted me dead. It darted towards me in an instant I could not out run that thing so my only choice was to fight. My hands were shaking uncontrollably was this it, I said to myself as I tightly clenched the spear that I had found. With all my strength I swung the spear, the swing was strong however it missed. The creature groaned again almost to be mocking me, it took this as an opportunity to attack me once again but this time I pushed the spear towards it in a stabbing motion and unlike the last time I felt it connect. I looked down to see that I had stabbed this creature in the chest.Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.


    It looked at me and its eyes changed from being that of a predator to being the prey, it just sat there and looked at me as the life slowly faded from its eyes. Its corpse dropped the ground and while doing so it produced a loud thud. My hands were still uncontrollably shaking, I did it , I killed it, I survived I said to myself while a small grin appeared upon my face.

    I jumped out of my skin I heard another sound, however, this time it was not a monster rather a small popup window that read:

    EXP? Experience? After briefly reading the message I ran towards the large tree I noticed when I was scouting the area I doubt I would run into anything else here for a while I said to myself as I led my head against the bottom of the tree trying to regain the lost energy from the battle I had with that monster.


    I''m glad I managed to get around 5 of those fruits before I left the town hopefully this will satisfy my hunger for the time being. I wish there was a way I could tell if this fruit was safe to eat.

    Another popup window appeared I still jumped this time but it was not as bad as the one before. Did I create a skill called inspect? Without a second to waste I chanted the word inspect to myself while looking directly at the fruit I had picked up.

    Upon hearing this I immediately bit into the first fruit making sure not to accidentally eat the seeds that it contained inside. The taste was amazing the juices poured into my mouth as I took a bite , although the fruit was quite small it was still very filling. I am sure that once I eat all the remaining fruits that my hunger would have vanished for the night. I led my head on the floor on top of some grass nearby and slowly shut my eyes while still holding my trusty spear.

 Chapter 2 - Skill Creation?

    I had a decent night sleep my back still hurts and so does my neck but it''s not as bad as before. I will prioritise getting somewhere to sleep today. I still can''t get over the fact that I made a skill last night and it worked.


    As I woke up I was greeted with yet another popup window

    if I remember correctly when I created the Inspect skill it said [0/5] after the name. I suppose that is the total amount of experience needed to level up the skill. Currently, I have [1/5] experience okay so if I get it to [5/5] I will level up.

    Once again I said the skill name, however, this time looking at the tree I used to lean against.

    Okay, the skill worked yet again. It''s not just items then it also works with objects. Time to level up the skill I said to myself as I let out a chuckle.

    Okay, my skill levelled up ,great! Also, the summary of the spear was quite weird because some of the text was unreadable. Maybe It was written in the same language as the name of the building. It would be nice if I could understand the language, I guess I''ll just add that to my to-do list. It seems like the place I found the spear in was a spawn point for items. There must be other spawn points scattered throughout the town I need to explore it sometime in the near future.


    I wonder what would happen if I used the inspect skill on myself? Damn, why didn''t I think of this earlier?

    It worked I already knew I was Human but I''m not sure how. My overall level is 1 and I need to get a total of 50 experience to level up. I guess it works in the same way as the inspect skill.


    My total unspent experience is 10. That must have been when I killed the Rustcreep okay that makes sense, I can just kill monsters to get experience to add to my skills instead of manually level them up. This will be extremely useful for skills that will be hard to perform, unlike my Inspect skill.


    I will save that experience for the time being until I found a skill that is harder to train. Okay, It shows all my skills I have acquired, however, for now, I only have the inspect skill.


    What does it mean by Unique skills? I have one called Skill Creation that explains how I created the Inspect Skill. Also, my overall level is determined by all the experience I have earned so far because it also includes my unspent experience and the 5 experience it took for me to level up my inspect skill.

 Chapter 3 - Agility, Strength & Stamina

    I wonder if my Inspect skill will work on my Unique Skill, I said to myself while scratching my head?

    Currently, I have an overall level of 1. Okay, the most logical thing to do here is to try to create new skills that will be beneficial to me and level them up, this will also help me level up my overall skill. Two birds with one stone.


    In case I run into any monsters that are stronger than me I want to be able to flee the area. I wonder if I could make a skill that determines how much stamina I have. It relatively easy to level up since I could just get myself out of breath and I should gain experience.

    That''s no problem I will level up to level 2 in no time while I upgrade these two skills I have recently acquired. I ran as fast as I could for about 2 Minutes. I gained 1 experience in Agility and Stamina,That''s 1 experience per skill a minute not bad not bad at all.

    So, I need 30 experience to level up ,in 30 minutes I will level up and I should be able to create the strength skill. luckily those popup messages have stopped when I gain experience now, it looks like it only happens for new skills at the moment.


    I ran for another 8 minutes which levelled up both of the skills.

    Similar to my Inspect skill, it takes 10 experience to level it up again.


    I ran again for 20 minutes, the speed I was running at increased by a reasonable amount and so did my stamina I guess it really does work. I increased my Agility and Stamina skill to level 3.


    Great how much more experience do I need now?

    Using the Inspect skill got me to level 2 sweet but again that weird text. Maybe that''s my name damn I wish I could understand it. It might give me clues on who I am and where I came from. Okay so now it will take my 100 experience to level up my overall level, from what it looks like whenever a skill levels up the required experience doubles.
