《A Dragonoid's Tale》 Ch 0.1 - A Million Years of Fear A plane parallel to the world exists. But unlike the world, it''s uninhabitable. It''s a place where none would want to live in. But in that place where no life could survive were two entities. One was a dragonoid or a half-dragon; the other was a demon. They fought in that plane for a long time, and now their fight is about to end. No, their fight has already ended; it''s the demon''s loss. It was an obvious outcome. Everyone knows that a dragon, even a half-blood, can win against a demon. But the one he was fighting was no ordinary demon. The one the dragonoid was beating to death was the demon god, an entity that could kill a hundred dragons with ease. The entity which should be at the top of the food chain begged for his life. "Ple-" But the dragonoid ignored his words and continued smashing his face. Every time the dragonoid''s large fist hit him, his face would explode. Normally he could just regenerate his face, but after getting beat up millions of times, his regeneration was starting to slow down. If it continues, he''ll surely die.The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Every time his face healed, every time his mouth returned, he would beg for his life. But his words did nothing but fuel the dragonoid''s rage. Why was the dragonoid angry? Simple, the demon god caused his sister''s death. The demon god tried to control him by using his sister, but his sister ended up killing herself to free him. He was enraged by this and came to kill the demon god. Now the demon god is paying the price for trying to control what couldn''t be controlled. All the demon god could do was regret his decision as he begged. He tried, and tried, and tried, until he gave up. As he grew tired, his perception of time got slower, prolonging his suffering. It took one year for him to die, but to him, it felt like millions of years. Not a day passed without him feeling fear towards the one that continuously hit his face. Even if he was spared, he''d no longer be the same as before. After completely destroying the demon god''s face, he started crushing the body. When nothing but blood was left, he roared while shedding tears. He did it, he got revenge for his younger sister. Now that he accomplished his goal, the stress from fighting for a whole year finally took its toll. But before he lost his consciousness, he answered the thought that entered his mind the moment the demon god died. <> <> He chose "YES" and closed his eyes. But before he entered the dream world, he remembered something important. If he evolves, his sister will also evolve. If she''s still waiting at the gate, then it''ll be dangerous for her. Filled with regrets, he started evolving. <> Ch 0.2 - A Little Sisters Worry It has been a year since my big brother went to the demon god''s realm, but he still hasn''t come back yet. I''m not afraid of losing him, I''m completely confident that he''ll win. What I''m afraid of is the possibility of him changing. I can understand his rage, even I was angry when sister Bismarck died. But I hope it doesn''t change him too much. I hope that when he returns, he''ll still be the kind brother I love and revere. Even if he does change, I''ll still love him. We lost our parents while we were still small and he was the one who took care of us ever since. Big brother is the most important person to me. No matter what happens, I''ll always follow him. For a whole year, I didn''t move from my spot. I stayed in front of the gate leading to the demon god''s realm, waiting for my big brother and blocking those that wanted to get in his way. It didn''t matter if they were demon lords or demon dukes, I killed them all the moment they entered my range. I didn''t listen to them; maybe I too was blinded by my anger. This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it. I never once needed food because I was constantly feeding on my own mana; it''s an ability created by big brother, and it helped us in times we couldn''t find food. That wasn''t the only thing he taught me, most of the things I know came from him. Without him, I would probably be a mindless monster living on the upper layers of the cave right now. It may be because of my delusions, but to me, big brother is like a saint. That''s why I was shaken when I saw him furious. For a moment, my anger was replaced with fear, fear of losing him forever. I didn''t go because I didn''t want to get in his way? That''s a big lie. In truth, I didn''t want to see him so angry. I feared that I''d see no change in his expression after he kills the demon god. While sitting in front of the gate, I felt dizzy. Soon, all strength left my body. Such an event wasn''t new to me. I knew what was happening - I was evolving. If I was evolving, then that only meant one thing: big brother was also evolving. If he is, then that means he won. I believed in him, but knowing he truly won took a load off my chest. But then I realized, he wouldn''t evolve without first making sure I was in a safe place. I wasn''t sure yet, but the thought of big brother not caring if I get attacked while evolving greatly pained me. As I lost consciousness, I turned around and reached for the gate. Before my eyes closed, I shed a tear and called out to the one most dear to me. "Big broth......" Ch 0.3 - A Little Sisters Farewell Now I understand why big brother was so knowledgeable, it was because he has memories from his previous life. In his past life, he was from a species called human. Despite his race being weak, he was strong. Even as a dragon, I would have trouble fighting him. Martial arts was a way for the weak to beat the strong. But for big brother, his strength wasn''t simply a way to beat the strong. Alone, he could fight thousands or even millions of people. With his mastery of the [Heavenly Destruction Arts], even I wouldn''t dare anger him. How he got that strong? The answer is simple. Not only was he talented, he also had an insane drive to get stronger. With that drive, he worked harder than anyone else and attained power that was considered impossible to attain. But why was he so intent on becoming stronger? It was because he wanted to get revenge. He wanted to kill the ones responsible for his family''s death, and since the ones he had to kill had a vast influence, he needed an influence of his own, or strength to take on thousands. If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. With the strength he gained, he waged a war against his enemies. After years of conflict, he was able to win, but he died in the process. Shortly after that, he was reincarnated to this world. It was probably because he longed for a family that he easily accepted us. Even when it was hard to raise us alone, he didn''t give up. Even when we gave him lots of problems, he still smiled at us. Even when he was once human, he truly loved us as his siblings. I''m loving big brother more and more as I see his memories, sadly I can no longer be with him. I have died, and even he can''t do anything about it. But there''s one thing he can still do: he can still protect Sekhmet. I know big brother was enraged, but to forget about Sekhmet... The moment big brother fell asleep, I used majority of my soul to pass on my abilities to him. With it, he''d gain high regeneration and high resistance. Since he has the ability to share a few of his skills, Sekhmet should get at least one. Regeneration or resistance, one of them should be enough to protect her while she undergoes evolution. Next, I used the remaining portion of my soul to meet big brother in his dream. I wanted to use all of my soul to have a lengthy farewell with him, but I have no choice, it''s for Sekhmet. I should be able to tell him not to blame himself for my death. It was my choice, it''s not his fault. If he becomes stubborn, I''ll tell him I won''t be able to rest in peace until he forgives himself. *Inhale* *Exhale* *Inhale* *Exhale* Ok! Time to say farewell!
