《That One Story》 TOS - Chapter One Chapter 1 Betrayal is the most tragic thing that could happen to someone, and when the person who betrays you is your own sister. That just makes it even worse. The feeling you get, the rage you feel. But of all those things, the trust you thought you had is now gone. Why? Why!? All because of their selfish desires, all because they can¡¯t stop their petty human grudges. Yet here we are, wanting to find love, find a family, find that person who will be there for you. I am here to tell you, they don¡¯t exist. Love is a thing for the weak. Family betrays you. And that person you are searching for died long ago. Five hundred years ago my family discovered the secret to live for a thousand years. Because if we are being honest here, no one wants to die. And yet, I died. Simply because my evil witch of a sister was upset at me. She couldn¡¯t get over the fact that I was better than her. That I was her superior! She took my portion of the potion that allows one to extend their life force giving her two thousand years of extra life. Want to know the sad part? My father, my mother, and my younger brother didn¡¯t seem to mind. They watched her kill me. None of them moved to stop her. Therefore this thing called family love, the person who said blood is thicker than water. I ask you all, is that truly the case? You may be asking yourself where is this story going. Well, i¡¯m here to tell you that it is going nowhere. How can my thoughts travel? How can I get my revenge? How I ask you? How!The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. Maybe if I had a body to call my own could I get my revenge. Maybe if I had another chance at life. I know how you are feeling, listening to me go on. I know that you are tired. But I ask you, stand with me. Fight with me! Together we shall get revenge on those who caused us the greatest pain in life. Together we shall live once more! Now, I ask you. Who is with me? Silence¡ Silence hurts you know. What are you scared of? Who can harm you here? Who can stop us from reenacting our revenge? We are the ones who have the power here, not them. But I see how it is, you are all cowards. You are all afraid. Let me ask you, what are you afraid of? Death? I tell you this, you have already died once. Maybe you will react when I tell you this. The conqueror of realms. The destroyer of worlds. The King of hell. I might not have any of those amazing titles, but I do have a name. My name is Dan Velstrok! Yes, shake in fear, hide under bridges when you hear my nam- What, you there. You dare tell me to shut up? You dare tell me? Then let me tell you, you can take this big size thirteen and shove it up your ass. Wait, don¡¯t leave. Come back, continue listening to me. I order you to stay put! The best part hasn¡¯t even begun yet. Yes, that¡¯s right, there is still more to this story. This. This is only the beginning. Now, shall I tell you what happens next? Let me tell you, how we shall get our revenge. TOS - Chapter Two Chapter 2 Together we stand. Together we fall. Together we shall take over earth. Because today, today is the day I wake. Today is the day we wake! Now, we shall barge in there and take over their ceremony. We shall take back our bodies that have been waiting for us. We shall once again rise! Charge!!! ¡¡¡. Hahaha, imbeciles, they actually believed that. Serves them right for not listening to me. A chance to awaken? A chance to live once again? Foolish. Foolish I tell you, I would never spilt my spoils with someone else. Besides, there is only enough energy for one of us here. And I, I am the one who shall return. Because my pain, my rage, is greater than their own. They don¡¯t understand the feeling of having family betray you. But they only need to wait, because soon we¡¯ll have a nice family reunion. One that will go down in the history books. One that people will forever remember. The glowing red crystal in front of me is my way home. They call it, the philosophers stone. Little did they know that it was never on earth, it could only be found in hell. As I reach to touch the crystal, the door burst open. I didn¡¯t expect them to arrive this soon. Truly, I never expected them to arrive here. I guess the guardians were weaker than I thought. Well, it is too late for them anyways. I guess I can give them my appreciation. ¡°Lower beings, I thank you for helping me get one step closer to accomplishing ¡®our¡¯ goals. Together, we shall get our revenge. Don¡¯t worry, I will get revenge for you all. I will complete your final wish. Sadly, there isn¡¯t enough energy here for all of us, so I shall take on the burden to complete the task myself. Don¡¯t look at me like that, we all knew the risk and I am the only one who has the resolve to return.¡± The shout at me. To be expected considering they are joyful towards me taking on their burden Now they can rest in peace without having to worry about their enemies continuing on living in peace. I grab hold of the philosopher''s stone and crush it. It was much more fragile than I imagined it to be. Now, let us return. It has been so long, my dear family. [Virus] - God Species with infinite lifespan. There is no cure so you cannot die. Only you will not have a body. I was not expecting this. All of them were good choices, all except Human. Why would I want to go back to that lower species. I instantly crossed that off my list, as well as Virus. Although there was no cure for it, I wouldn¡¯t be able to walk on my feet again. That was just stupid. There were four choices left for me. [Hybrid], [Incubus], [Werewolf], and [Vampire]. All of them were high ranking species or better. I had to say that [Incubus] had its own appeal but I was not one to go around indulging in human relations. Therefore I crossed that out as well. If it didn¡¯t have that, then I would have picked it easily. [Hybrid] was looking good, but it had too many weaknesses. All that was left for me to choose was either [Vampire] or [Werewolf]. Both of them being the superior species, and I knew that they were both at war with each other. However on earth, there was no such thing as either of them. Or any of the other species¡ so either one would have been a good option. Yet, one held an advantage over the other. Infinite life, this was the decider for me. That feeling of living forever. Could you imagine the reaction my family would have when I returned and told them I could now live forever. Ah¡ I could picture it now, their rage. That feeling was good, it gave me a tingle in the inside. Yup, it was decided, [Werewolf] here we come. Sadly i¡¯m not fond of living forever, and frankly I would like to walk in the sun. Thus, it was decided as I choose to return as a werewolf. Dan Velstrok, Body is 95% human. Now changing DNA into werewolf¡ Error, due to body not being 100% human you cannot change into a werewolf. And what was up with this, Enhanced Earth bull? How was earth enhanced? I couldn¡¯t wait to see it for myself. TOS - Chapter Three Chapter 3 It was dark, not once centimeter of light was shone. It was hard to breath. I knew where I was. Well, not exactly knew where I was, but I knew I was in a coffin. Frankly i¡¯m surprised that my family even buried me. Considering they let me die, from the way they acted I thought they didn¡¯t care about me. Now my mind has slightly changed, I wouldn¡¯t just cut their bodies into little pieces and leave them for the animals to eat. Now I would let them die as a whole and give them a burial. Only seems right that I do what they did to me. I started punching the coffin. At first it was hard, but after awhile the coffin started to move. Or shake. However you would describe it. With a loud bang, a hole appeared in the coffin. Dirt started falling down through it but I didn¡¯t mind. I was a higher ranked species, a little dirt couldn¡¯t harm me. Spreading the hole open, I had enough room. I had to say it was not nice being buried underneath dirt, but it could have been worse. Like me being buried in the middle of the ocean instead. Since I couldn¡¯t breathe all that well, I held my breath as I clawed my way towards the surface. Ah, fresh air. This was refreshing, I haven¡¯t felt anything like this in a while. Considering where I was at before, this was way better. As I took in a deep breath, a message flowed in my head. Energy levels rising¡ You body has acquired Mana {MP}. Due to you being a species that cannot use Mana, it has been converted into Stamina {SP}. Stamina is drained at a certain rate while doing activities, or using certain skills. Reminds me of those games I use to play. What was one of the titles¡ Wow? No, maybe it was something else. I don¡¯t know anymore, it has been too long. All I can remember is pac man. That game would live forever. Going down memory lane was nice and all, but it is time to find my family. Did five hundred years really pass? I mean I was expecting¡ flying cars, robots¡ I guess not. Heck, if you can¡¯t do that in five hundred years I give up all hope. Sorry guys, I guess Virtual Reality won¡¯t exist either. Want to know the sad part about this whole ¡®revival¡¯ thing. My family buried me by a tree. Nope, not in a graveyard. By a tree. I didn¡¯t even have a tombstone. Not even a sign that said someone was buried here. It saddened me, how many people stepped on my grave while I was dead? Whatever, there was no use worrying about it. The faster I make them suffer like I did, the faster I can get on with my life. So, I ran. It wasn¡¯t hard getting use to the feeling of walking again so i decided to step it up a notch and run. The wind on my face gave me a sense of comfort. As I approached the nearest town, I recognized the name. They could have changed that dreadful name in the time I was away. Yet, they still kept it the same. It seems some things never change, no matter how much you want it to. If you were wondering, it read . All of my senses were enhanced, I could hear things I probably should not be hearing. Like that woman and man who are hiding behind a tree. And no, this tree is not close-by. The only reason I can see it is due to me concentrating hard enough. Even then, I could barely make out that it was a tree. I guess the only thing that has changed since I last stepped foot in this damn city was a few buildings. They don¡¯t look the same as they did before. They look sleek and new. My nose could pick out this amazing aroma, that made my stomach growl. Family revenge¡ or something to eat. Eh, family revenge can wait a little longer. I followed my nose to a restaurant. On the way here people gave me a few looks, but I didn¡¯t mind.Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. I hope I didn¡¯t look like a corpse. Even though I was just one a few seconds ago. I soon arrived at the entrance to a restaurant. It seemed old school which was refreshing. I opened the door and walked inside. There were plenty of people seated at the tables, and a few at the counter. It seems this place was popular. Shouldn¡¯t be too surprising considering the fact that the smell coming from the food was nice. I sat down on the stool and shortly after a young brunette woman came over to me. She seemed to be in her early twenties, probably some college girl earning a living. Kinda makes me upset on the inside, I wanted to go to college, but i died before I had the chance. To think that I would die in my senior year of high school. ¡°Do you need a menu?¡± She asked me. ¡°Nah, i¡¯m feeling something sweet. Give me something you would recommend your family.¡± I told her. ¡°You aren¡¯t from around here are you?¡± ¡°You could say that. I use to live here when I was younger, and only decided to come back now. How did you know?¡± ¡°It isn¡¯t everyday we get someone of your caliber. Golden hair, light blue eyes, and skin that seems like it is perfect. Only see your type in magazines, tell me, are you someone famous?¡± She asked me. ¡°Famous, I wish. Maybe my name will spread shortly.¡± She heard her boss calling for her so we said our farewells to each other. Not like I wouldn¡¯t see her again considering she would bring me my food soon. At least I hoped it would be soon. Bang! The restaurant door burst wide open scaring the humans in the inside. I slowly turned my head. I wanted to see who was brave enough to cause a racket while I was here. As I turned my head, I caught sight of a group consisting of three people. Two males and one female. This female, she was something else. Long black hair that reached her back, and golden eyes. She did not seem normal, but her figure was out of this world. Yet, out of all of this I continued getting this feeling that I knew her from somewhere. I couldn¡¯t put my tongue on it, but I knew she was someone from my past. ¡°Where is he? That beast who dares to enter the Vampires domain.¡± She said in a calm yet angry voice. It seemed that she was confident in herself. As I heard her voice, I finally remembered who she was. Kimberly Woods. Her and my sister were best friends back in the day. But she was still alive, and she should be dead. This was suspicious. She looked directly at me and grinned. Oh, was I her target? I smiled at her and waved my hand. ¡°Hey, how''s it going Kimberley.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t speak my name like we are buddies. Better yet, how do you even know my name?¡± She asked. I could sense the change in her voice. She definitely didn¡¯t take this as a game. ¡°C¡¯mon, it hasn¡¯t been that long has it? Five hundred years I take it? How is Ley doing?¡± I gave her a lot of hints at who I was. Not everyday someone ask about Ashley using her nickname. Her face expression changed, it seems she remembered. I mean, I couldn''t have had so little of a presence that no one would remember me would that? I thought I was quite popular in my time. ¡°Dan? H-how is that possible? You should be dead.¡± She spoke in a slightly shaken voice. ¡°Why are you so surprised Kimberly. I¡¯m a Velstrok remember? I might die, but I will always finds way to get what I want.¡± ¡°And, what do you want?¡± ¡°Do you even need to ask? Revenge of course. How about you come to watch our family reunion? I bet you it will be killer.¡± I said that with a smile on my face. She could tell what my words really meant. The two males by her side didn¡¯t seem to like my attitude much as they charged at me. Their movements seemed kinda slow in my eyes. I reacted. Since they couldn¡¯t keep their emotions in check, I would fix it for them. My hands stabbed out as it pierced both of their chest. Grabbing a hold of their hearts, I squeezed them and yanked my hands out. There they fell. Experience awarded for killing two lower ranked Vampires. You have leveled up. You have leveled up. You have gained +2 Strength + 2 Stamina and +3 Agility. (Gained Every Level up.) You have gained +2 Strength + 2 Stamina and +3 Agility. You have gained 2 stat points. (Free to allocate in any stat.) I should check out my stats. But not now, in a little bit. Kimberly looked as if she saw a monster. ¡°Tell Ley i¡¯m looking forward to our meeting.¡± As I said that I went back to sit down at the counter. The humans in the restaurant were startled, but they didn¡¯t say anything. I caught sight of the brunette that I was chatting with earlier. ¡°How much longer on my meal?¡± I asked her. TOS - Chapter Four Chapter 4 Name: Dan Velstrok Age: 18 Race: Hybrid Level: 3 Titles: The Original (First of your kind) Alpha (Leader of your pack) Stats: Hp(Health): 500 Stm(Stamina): 60 St(Strenght)r: 40 Int(Intelligence): 35 Agi(Agility): 48 Chrm(Charm): 20 Free Stat points: 2 Reading the information before me, I couldn¡¯t help but want to brag. My stats were high, especially for my level. I knew that it wasn¡¯t just do to me being a Hybrid, it was due to my two titles. They each had their own effects that helped me out. The Original doubled my stats I had at the start. Alpha made me my own man allowing me to create my own pack. It also gave me a certain about of Charm points as well. I checked my log, and it allowed me to see my past level ups as well as any encounters I had. Like my encounter with Kimberly and those two males. It recorded information about Kimberly, her looks, age anything I knew a long time ago. As for those two males, it only recorded their looks and current status. The log also showed me my level ups with the stats I gained etc. Just having the log was helpful. If I recall, back in video games you had a log as well. But after a certain amount of time, or if you logged out the log erased any information you gained. This log didn¡¯t. I could separate information by time, date, location etc. I did a little digging of my own and found out that good old Sterling Heights was now home to Vampires. Crazy isn¡¯t it? Who would expect that after five hundred years Vampires would be here. I wonder how this all started, because I don¡¯t ever recall Vampires running the town. Heck, even the Mayor could barely run this town. Meh, I would continue feeding you information, but I don¡¯t anyone would want to listen to that. As I continued my way down the alley way, I watched as Kimberly went into a back door. I guess I should feel sorry for her. What would happen when she tells my sister I returned, and that she lead me right to her. Ah, I wonder how my sister would react. If she was a bitch five hundred years ago, she should be a super one now. Glad she doesn¡¯t have to live any longer. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. I creeped into the building. The inside was definitely better than the outside. I walked up the stairs following Kimberly¡¯s smell. Every person had their own unique smell, and Kimberly¡¯s smelt like vanilla pudding for some reason. I was on guard because I felt that this was too strange. There were no guards at the back door. There was no one inside the building. It made me question if I was walking into a trap. Yet my curiosity got the better of me and I continued to go forward. I was strong. No one could stop me. Following her scent I was lead into a room. I found Kimberly talking to a young woman with blond hair and golden eyes. The air she was emitting was deathly. She spotted me the moment I walked inside but showed no fear. She had the same features as Kimberly. Therefore I knew she was a Vampire. ¡°Well, if it isn¡¯t my dear sister who i¡¯ve missed. You haven¡¯t aged one bit, I wonder why?¡± Kimberly turned around and the expression on her face was priceless. She knew that she had fucked up big time. My sister clicked her tongue. ¡°Dan, how did you come back from hell? I was sure I killed you. Your heart was beating in my hand when I ripped it from your chest. Care to explain your sudden¡ return?¡± I laughed lightly at her. This was the moment I was waiting on, yet the other cast members were not here. My mother, father, and younger brother were still missing. I wondered where they went. Don¡¯t tell me they had a family fight and everyone went their own way. I would hate to track them all down just to kill them. That would¡ suck. ¡°No, not really. Speaking of hearts being ripped from chest¡¡± I said as my body flashed. ¡°Dan no!¡± Kimberly cried out. Too late Kimberly, she needs to die. Right as Ashley was about to react, my hand pierced her chest. I had her heart in my hand. I could feel the beating of it. It went badump, badump, badump. I was expecting a little more resistance from Ashley, but I didn¡¯t get any. Enough. I yanked her heart from her chest like she did me so long ago. Her body fell towards the ground. Strangely I didn¡¯t feel any happiness from ripping her heart out. The emotions I thought I would have when i killed her didn¡¯t appear. Did she feel this same way when she killed me? Too late for regrets now. ¡°Dan, what have you done? H-how could you rip her heart out? How could you kill your own sister?¡± I dropped her heart on the floor. ¡°I should be asking you how you could still be friends with her. After she killed her own brother. You take sides with this murderer? If I didn¡¯t kill her, surely someone else would have.¡± ¡°Whats next, will you kill Nate? Your dad? Your mom? Me? Who else must die?¡± She questioned me. ¡°I know that they wronged me, but they didn¡¯t kill me. And I don¡¯t think I would feel any joy from killing them. Therefore, I think I will just torment them for the rest of their lives. That should be a fate much worse than death.¡± I told her honestly. She slammed her hand on the table as it broke in two. ¡°You don¡¯t know anything Dan! It has been five hundred years! Five fucking hundred years! Do you even know what is going on here? In this town? In the world? Did you once stop your revenge on your family plan to stop and think that this world is strange? Did you not question anything? God damn, Dan, no wonder she killed you all those years ago.¡± TOS - Chapter Five Chapter 5 There was once a time where me and my sister got along. We were tight like white on rice, there was nothing that could separate us. Years went by and the two loving siblings started to drift apart. I could still remember those wonderful times we use to sit back and watch horror movies together. Good times wouldn¡¯t you agree? And yet, this same sister who I loved turned her back against me. This same sister didn¡¯t just kill me, no, she ripped out my heart. And here, one expects me to forgive her after a passage of five hundred years? I ask you, would you forgive your killer? We may share the same blood, but we do not share the same feelings. Times have changed, I have changed. That child who trusted his family is no more. My family, my blood cut off all connections with me the day I died. So yes, I still want to get revenge against them even after five hundred years. Yes I want them to suffer and feel the same pain I felt. I will not stop, until they suffer lifetime worth of hell. And yet here I am, trying to understand Kimberly. Trying to understand the things these people who are my ¡®family¡¯ went through while I suffered. I imagined them living happily while I rotted away. I thought that they would find peace while I was cast away. It seems that I was wrong. It seems that I should have taken the time to look at the bigger picture here. ¡°You ruined her life Dan, their lives. Everything they worked hard for was torn to pieces by you. And the person who felt it the most was your sister. All of her friends turned their backs towards her because of you. She could not have any happiness in her life, and it was all your fault. So excuse me if i¡¯m not sorry she killed you because she wanted her own happiness.¡± ¡°She killed me to gain her own happiness? Look around Kimberley, this place hardly looks happy. She''s had five hundred years to get the happiness she wanted, I think it is time that she got what was coming.¡± I replied. ¡°We didn¡¯t have five hundred years of happiness! The world isn¡¯t the same as it use to be Dan. Things have changed. We have changed.¡± ¡°Then tell me, tell me what changed.¡± At this moment we were both yelling at each other. She was trying to prove to me that I shouldn¡¯t have killed my sister because of what happened five hundred years ago. And I was trying to tell her that she needed to die. As one would expect, it wasn¡¯t going so well. ¡°I know you are angry, but you are angry with the wrong person. The world changed after you died Dan. These things¡ these creatures, they woke up from some ancient slumber. That secret your family found was not something that you should have used. Did you even realize that living for an extra thousand years came at a cost? You all drew lifeforce from one of the strongest Vampires in history, and when he woke, he wasn¡¯t too happy about it either.¡±The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. ¡°Kimberly, this is where you are mistaken. I didn¡¯t draw anything, I died before I got to extend my life.¡± ¡°That doesn¡¯t matter, your life was given to you by your mom and dad therefore you have a connection with them. That connection might not be as strong as it once was, but it was strong enough for you to gain a little bonus from them.¡± She told me. Thinking about it now, that could explain why 5% of my DNA was Vampire. Because my parents extended their life force due to our blood connection, some of that energy was transferred to me. Man, why couldn¡¯t this story be simpler than this. Adding in ancient Vampires in the mix surely wouldn¡¯t make my life any better. In fact, i can already see this road is going to be a bumpy one. ¡°That ceremony you guys performed.¡± ¡°It was a ritual Kimberly, not a ceremony.¡± I corrected her. ¡°Whatever! That did not just give you guys extra life force, it changed you. Your family is not only human any more. You guys are half vampires.¡± Her eyes looked down onto my sister. ¡°Except for her, she''s a pure vampire.¡± She continued going on. ¡°That guy your family woke, he isn¡¯t just angry. He is pissed off. He can¡¯t kill your family because through some weird way you are all connected to him by blood. But he can kill everyone else.¡± I looked at her with puzzling eyes. ¡°And, you are forgetting the part where you are a vampire.¡± ¡°Half actually. See, a pure vampire can turn normal humans into a half vampire. But a half vampire can¡¯t turn humans. I would have died if it wasn¡¯t for the fact that your sister saved me.¡± So my sister did something good for a change. Seems that she isn¡¯t all that bad. ¡°Anything else I need to know?¡± ¡°Two more things. Besides that vampire, there are other creatures that have woke up. Wolves thought to be extinct once again wander the wild. Undead creatures, and sometimes evil spirits. But want to know the crazy thing, they are all after your family.¡± At that final bit she laughed a little. ¡°Great, the next thing you are going to say is witches and warlocks exist as well.¡± I said in a serious yet playful tone. Her face darkened as I spoke those words. ¡°For heaven''s sake, what else dragons?¡± She slowly nodded her head in agreement. ¡°Kimberly, why are you playing around here?¡± I asked her. ¡°Because someone thinks witches, warlocks and dragons actually exist. I¡¯m still trying to wrap my mind around all this other crap, and here you go saying the wildest thing.¡± She replied. ¡°And, where is the rest of my vampire family?¡± ¡°Speaking of vampires, why aren¡¯t you one? You don¡¯t smell like a vampire at all, you smell more like a wolf.¡± She asked curiously. To tell her, or not to tell her. I think not, this was my own secret. ¡°I have no idea. Back to the topic, where is the rest of my family?¡± I asked once more. ¡°So you can torment them? No thanks.¡± I grabbed her by the neck, this was no time to play games Kimberly. As I squeezed her neck, I heard someone take a deep breath. As if they couldn¡¯t breathe. My eyes landed on my sister who I surely killed. ¡°For pete''s sake, why can¡¯t you stay dead?¡± ¡°The same reason you didn¡¯t stay put.¡± Ashley said in a cold tone. ¡°Now let Kimberly go.¡± TOS - Chapter Six Chapter 6 So I now find myself standing in front of my witch of a sister, who should have died. Her death didn¡¯t give me the peace of mind I was hoping for, but her revival surely didn¡¯t make me feel any better either. Pure vampires cannot die. No matter if their heart is ripped from their chest, their head chopped off, or you drown them. They will always come back to life. Because, the only thing that can kill a pure vampire is a stake to the heart. Not just any stake, one that is blessed by a saint. Now, where would I find one of those? Surely there must be a rule book that tells one of all the know hows and where to find them. It seems that my sister is a permanent player in this game we call Life. Yet, for a superior species she is weak. She could barely react to my movements. I wondered why that was. If only I could check her stats, then I would be able to tell. Name: Ashley Velstrok Age: 520 Race: Vampire Level: 35 (Sealed) Oh, it seems i am able to see her stats. I should start treating this a little bit more like a game. Not exactly like a game considering this is still real life, but I should use more of the resources I have. She has her level sealed, that could be the reason why I easily killed her earlier. Ha, so I should take this chance to continue killing her until I get tired. That would surely teach her not to mess with me ever again. ¡°So sister, care to explain where the rest of the family is.¡± She rolled her eyes at me, but I paid it no mind. ¡°They aren¡¯t here as you can see. You think I keep tabs on them?¡± ¡°Obviously you should.¡±If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. ¡°Well I don¡¯t. Now anymore questions?¡± ¡°Yes actually. Why is your power sealed?¡± I asked her. When I said that I could see her face darken. It seems she didn¡¯t think I knew that her current power was sealed away. To be expected since we just met. ¡°How do you know that?¡± ¡°I have my ways, now care to answer?¡± ¡°Well¡¡± and thus she started her story. Since she was the only pure vampire around and just so happened to be a woman, the vampire they woke up wanted to take her as his wife. She denied him so he took her precious family members away. She tried to go get them back, but ended up getting cursed instead. Now she is basically a human with enhanced abilities. Listening to her story, I couldn¡¯t help but laugh. ¡°This isn¡¯t funny!¡± She roared. ¡°You could have avoided this if you would have only married the guy. So because of you, you have a shit ton of enemies looking for you and you gave away our family members. Well, I killed you already so I see no need for me to stay here anymore.¡± I turned towards Kimberly. ¡°Nice seeing you again.¡± ¡°You are just going to leave, just like that? How about saving your damn family?¡± Ashley yelled. ¡°Family? I don¡¯t recall having one. The one I did have died a long time ago. So I see no need for me to save those strangers when there is nothing for me to get. I also don¡¯t feel like going against this all powerful vampire who wants to marry you. I coming up with a thousand ways to make your life miserable, but it seems you¡¯ve done that for me. So it is best for me to leave while I still can.¡± I explained to her. ¡°Dan, I think it is too late for that.¡± Kimberly spoke up just as I was leaving. Like seriously, why can¡¯t I just leave this place. Ugh, if I knew this was going to happen I would have never returned here. ¡°Ok, tell me why I shouldn¡¯t leave. Doesn¡¯t matter if I want to listen or not, you¡¯ll just flap your gums anyways.¡± I said in a cold tone. ¡°Remember how I found you at that restaurant? Well¡ i¡¯m pretty sure I wasn¡¯t the only one who found you here Dan. So even if you don¡¯t help us out, you¡¯ll find trouble on your own.¡± That¡ might be true, but I was strong. What was there to fear? ¡°Kimberly, are you forgetting one important fact? I am not weak.¡± ¡°You think just because you bested those two low ranked vampires you are strong? Or you killing Ashley makes you strong? Sorry Dan, but there are much stronger things out there than you.¡± I waved my hand as I walked towards the door. ¡°And when those things come, I shall be ready. Until next time, until next time.¡± You might think I am cold hearted, but trust me you would not want to get mixed up in this family problem. It is too much work for no reward. I think i¡¯ll find a new town to settle down in instead.
