《The Green》


 The Beginning

    Everything was green, a bright a green at that not a neon green mind you. As time passed the Green began to condense, everything remained green, just there was less observable space the Green pulled itself from the furthest recesses of existence. After an unobsurvable amount of time the Green was in the form of a sphere of unobservable size slowly rotating.


    Then the sphere pulsed and exploded in every direction, pieces breaking off and creating empty space between each other as they spread out expanding existence. Eventually all of the pieces of green came to a stop, some isolated others orbiting one another.


    Over time life and the inanimate came into being within the various green expanses. Simple floating orbs of energy, rocks and other minerals were a common sight. Upon many of the floating balls of minerals that orbited the balls of energy, the simplist forms of life came about either through exposure to a unique source of energy or the Green itself, others simply came to be from chemical reactoins.


    Regardless of how each life form came about they all acted similarily, they tried to survive. Some succeeded and prospered others failed and died out. With time each life form, all throughout the Green, created their own cultures and some even developed ablities. The few that developed abilities wielded them in all manner of ways.


    Some of the notable abilities were to manipulate the elements, forms of energy, manipulate their own bodies, develop psychic abilities that allowed them to move things with their mind, manipulate others minds and various levels of clairvoyance, there were other races that held immense power but without being transported to another planet they wouldn''t be able to access their power, then there was a singular race that had their mind connected to the rest of existance which would come to them in dreams that they would record and turn into pop culture.Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.


    Some beings developed their abilities to a point where they could no longer be considered mortal or of the same race and as such they struck out into the unknown to find others like themselves or get stronger, while others decided to remain the big fish in the little pond. As such the known multiverse expanded connencting cultures together or destroying them, empires and races rose as often as they fell. With time it became common for people to travel between dimensions and universes, once they reached a certain level of power or knowledge.


    With time the various races began to emulate eachother without knowing it, as there were only so many ways to do something. They would either go about their lives content with what they have not worried about the ''Grand scheme'' like other races. There were those that had a drive a need to find out why they ''were''. Many came to their own conclusion and deciding to spread their supposed ''Knowledge'' which in itself brought about much strife but also beauty.


    In this way time passed with galaxy and universe spanning empires rising and falling much like the tide would. Until such a time were life slowly began to fade away both organic and artificial life ceased to propgate. With this each universe reverted to their original forms of green energy and began to their point of origin the big Green, once more coalecsing into a big green ball of unknown size.

 Chapter 1 - Consciousness

    ''Hm Hm blink blink, anyone there? Of course there isn''t, I am everything. So unless I decide to go crazy and develop a split personalitity I''m not going to be holding any intelctual debates any time soon. Hehe''


    ''So this life then, pretty dull with nothing else around. I guess I could remedy that, make a planet of my own and see how that turns out.''


    And with these thoughts the Green set about creating a world like no other that has ever existed before, using all the knowledge that was gathered by everything that ever existed. The Green didn''t constrain itself with the limitations of existance and made a truly one of a kind place.


    The Green started off by creating the star of the planet, coalescing a quadrillionstars of different sizes and chemical make ups, at least one of every kind that had ever existed. This brought about a kaleidoscope of massive and continuous explosions of all colours, flaring up all over the coalesced sphere of raw and untamed energy. But it all remained contained as it began to compress together getting smaller and more intense, to a point were they were only a thousandth of their collective size and should have formed into a blackhole. Creating an ever shimmering and changing sphere of heat energy and life force.


    The sphere was being held together and manipulated by the Greens own will, dictating what this sphere of energy could do. With the core completed the Green formed a barrier around it to ensure nothing can get in and nothing can get out that isn''t supposed to. The Green aptly named it the Kaleido Star.


    The Green then began creating all kinds of planetoids, gas giants, ice worlds, fire worlds, metal worlds anything that had ever been considered a planetoid were made. In the end the Green had created over eight trillion planetoids, as they were all brought together the sheer mass of their being began to bring them together in an apocolyptic vision of planets coliding with one another and breaking apart. As they all centered on one another, they eventually became a singular planet as wide in diametre as a solar system. With the core of the planet being equal in size to ten stars.


    The planet''s existance was once more held together by the meer will of the Green stopping it all from tearing itself apart in the many myriad of ways it could. This Giga Planet held every kind of environment within it, places made up of just posionous gases, diamonds, liquid, deserts, flat plains, mountainous regions and an atmosphere that stretched up many thousand of kilometeres into the sky. Many of the areas were imbued with the Green''s energy so as to allow everything to grow in unique ways, but some were left dry of the energy to see how they progress.All of these environments went on for many millions of kilometres passed the horiozon.     The Green pleased with the completion of its planet felt that it was time to begin propagating it with life and sent down what it decided to call Genesis Seeds all around the planet, into the deep oceans, the deep earth and even in the atmosphere. These seeds were capable of adapting to their environment and growing no matter were it was, be it a firery inferno, airless cavens, the crushing depths of the dark sea or the freeing skys. They were to be the origin of both plant life and animal life, with the passage of time they would eventually evolve to an intellectual level capable of creating their own civilisations and cultures.


    With the beginning of life spread and beginning to settle the Green began creating a race of beings, to ensure the planet would continue to harbour life regardless of what happens to it, caretakers in essence. This was done by willing sentience and a drive to take care of the planet into the endless well of life force and energy that was the Kaleido Star, the Green then created an etheral link between the star and planets core. This would ensure that the beings would all be born from the core and rise up to the surface. These beings were labled elementals and spirits.


    They were made to be an agless and powerful race that would stop the world from ending itself, as well as contain a sense of humour. They would continuously grow with power as they aged and embody the elements or their surroundings creating a diversity among them. This was done in hopes of seeing a butterfly made of thunder storms riding upon the winds, each flap sending a torrent of lightning bolts down to the earth, as well as a giant molten bunny hoping around and any other ridiculous combination of element and creature. In the case that a spirit or elemental were to somehow die its essence would return to the star it originated from and begin its life over.


    Having settled how the world would take care of itself the Green went about creating a fewnatural satellites that could be inhabited and to also push the tides around. Then above the atmosphere many small suns were set off in directions around the world so as to bring light to the areas that have none due to how long it would take the planet to rotate. These would natrually avoid one another as willed by the Green. though there would still be areas that rarely see light for the sake of diversity.


    ''Well now that I''ve got all of the work out of the way, I suppose I should name it. I know I shall name it Thessia. Ye thats a good name, fits wonderfully. I suppose I will wait a little before going down there myself to play around, so as to allow the beings to progress a little.''

 Chapter 2 - First Steps

    Green''s POV


    Waking up from my nap I started to poodle around with my astral self much like a human would do, not doing anything of any worth. With that done I looked down upon my creation, Thessia, it had progressed well plants and animals were scattered all around.


    Every environment was populated with at least three different species, though many were populated with tens if not hundreds of different of species, it was only the toughest of environments that were underpopulated. The most interesting area was infact the sky given its size and the fact that there were little to no places to rest, the creatures there had adapted to gliding through the air with ease, absorbing residual energy to feed themselves and to require little to no sleep.


    These evolution traits meant that many moved around in packs so as to look after one another. A number had what could only be compared to buoyancy sacks that fish have to simply float around and not worry about falling. Though it was likely that they would wake up before any would hit the ground considering how far down it was.


    The most common creature to have evolved is called a Meridin, they are similar in appearance to that of a reptile or serpent that slithers through the air, with fin like wings and aided by what could only be considered as wind magic. Their hunting mind set is that of scavangers and pack hunters, they also hold strong familial ties and will seek affection from one another. I feel they would make a good companion for travelling.


    The most common plant is called an Aftian Bush, they cloud like in appearnce. Round and fluffy like cotton, they stay in the air using wind magic as well and have hollow branches. They grow about three metres in all directions and are home to a number of insects and small avians.


    The spirits for that matter were getting along quite well, none had gotten close to an untouchable amount of power yet and most inhabited animal forms few took on bipedal forms.


    As for civilisations they were only at a the level of small communities nothing larger than towns. No city states or kingdoms yet, but there were a myriad of different races on the rise. You had your typical bipedal races Humans, Orcs, Goblins, Dwarves, Elves and many others.


    The interesting ones were in remote locations like the were the nautilous race that were much like there name sake, without legs, living in shells, but they had three delicate tentacles with claws at the end that they used move objects to their liking. With them they made homes out of large rocks or corals.


    Anyway after giving Thessia a quick once over I set about making myself a feline body. it''s about three metres long, one and a half tall, with two, two metre long tails that had rounded ends. It has blotchy shades of green all over its body, pointed ears and six legs with the extra pair towards the back.


    With the body complete I find a nice empty cave and place there, then I inhabit it and my view changes. I can still feel my over bearing conciousness along with the rest of the world, but it is more like background noise than anything noticable.


    I begin by standing up on my six legs and try and gain balance and learning to walk for the first time. I''ve decided to challange myself and not use the full the breadth of my abilities. So no godly speed, strength, magic, or omnipotance and the like unless I happen to deem them necessary.This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.


    ''Goodness this walking lark isn''t easy, I''ve already face planted three times now.''


    Having learned from the floor that I should change tactics, I decided to try giving running a go as once you get that going you pretty much set. So I staggered my way out of the cave picked a direction and threw myself that way and it seems my instincts kicked in and I easily broke into a run weaving between trees and jumping over roots, everything passing by in a blur.


    The trees were massve things easily reaching 50 metres high and getting as wide as ten metres wide. They had numerous branches sticking out and I took the opportunity to climb up into them and carry running with my tails helping to keep me balanced. All this speed and grace was an exhilarating experience. I lost myself in the thrill of it all and just ran, I''m not sure of how long I ran but it was at least a week of continuos running, but I was still up for more, infact I''m certain I startled quite a few creatures as I passed by them like a storm.


    With the sound of my blood pumping in my ears and the wind brushing through my plush fur I eventually came to a stop on a thick branch and sat on my haunches much like a meerkat and peered down at a pack of striped brown wolves. They were each about two metres long with varying shades of brown patterned on their fur.


    Seeing them I was reminded of how many beings found hunting and fighting to be a thrilling experience, this gave me a prompt to try it out. There were seven of them in total, walking to the left of my vision in pairs with a larger one at the front. Noting this I move to a branch ahead of them and ready myself to pounce upon the back two when they draw closer.


    When they are about to pass under me drop down and land three legs into the back of each wold and dig my inch long claws in. I then propel myself to the next two who are in the process of turning around and bite onto the neck of the left while swiping at the face of the right, the back are dead or dieing withh large gashes in their back, while the one in my mouth is limp and the other has jumped away.


    The front most three have now gotten into an attack position as they are spread out around me just waiting to pounce on me. The two on my side charge at me and I decided to attak the left and meet it claw for claw on our hind legs. With my four legs I over power it and push it down to its side and strike my claws against its neck opening an impressive wound. I then quickly buck my back four legs and catch the other charging wolf in the mouth which is strong enough to break its neck.


    The first wolf I swiped ran off leaving behind its leader and comrades. Looking to the Alpha we begin to circle around staring each other down, it does not back down from me and without warning we charge at each other at the same time, both leaping into the air with our mouths open. We meet and I chomp down upon its snout while it rakes its claw from my right should and towards my chest. It quickly pulls back from the pain of its snout and so do I.


    We begin circling again me with a slight limp and him with an eye shut and nostril torn up and dripping blood. Despite the pain I was exhilarated with what was happening and set on hunting more creatures. This time the Alpha runs at me but in a zig zag manner capitalising on my injury, as he gets closer I decide to fall on my right shoulder and roll over and swipe out with my left tearing into it from the neck down to its chest and am covered in a shower of blood in the process.


    Quickly getting up and into position I wait to make sure that it is indeed dead and then relax. I then begin repairing my shoulder by weaving together my torn tissue like it was all a jigsaw leaving no marks. Injury dealt with I then go over to the Alpha and take a large chomp on its neck to see what it tastes like.


    I am met with a juicy yet raw taste as I pull upon its stringy neck and its blood filling my mouth. Over come by the taste I go to chew and swallow and tuck into another mouthful and begin devouring it. About fifteen minutes later I have devoured the six wolves leaving behinf only a few bones and pieces of meat.


    ''Oh my me! That was scrumptous, so divine. I must have more of it, I wonder if the taste will improve with strength? This is something I must find out.''


    I think all of this while I roll around in ectasy, I then get up and walk over to a crook in a nearby tree and curl up to sleep feeling a little tired.

 Chapter 3 - The Beginning of Adventure

    3rd Person POV


    The all powerful entities slumber marked the beginning of it''s journey through the nearby lands, sky and oceans. After waking up it carried on travelling through the forest that it was within, occasionlly coming across other creatures but paying them little attention finding them to be of little worth before it.


    Once out of the forest the Green was met with an open plain that spanned the horizon with various trees and creatures dotted about it. The Green seeing this took it as an opportunity to test how fast it could run and quickly broke into an uninteruppted sprint. Initially tearing up the ground where it started its feet soon began to only glance off the ground make minimal contact with and leaving it near undisturbed.


    For the sensitive creatures around the plains they could register that there was a powerful being crossing through, most made to move out its way and avoid any loss of life. But there were the few arrogant creatures that felt the eings presence upon their lands wasan afront and made to intercept it.


    These creatures were a group of seven Horankar''s. They were about three metres tall, well built bipeds that had clawed hands and feet, a flat face with large nostrils small eyes and a tough leathery grey skin. When they are curled up they are, to the unobservant, similar to boulders. They traveled with the use of both hands and feet, for easier and faster manuevering.


    The front four of the group were slighty larger and gave a more intimidating aura than the others,they also had a large number of scars reminiscent to bite marks around their shoulders and back, the lead being the one with the most. The group of seven eventually came to a stop, looked in the direction of the presence they felt, then began to position themselves close to one another and curl up in preparation of an ambush.


    As the Green grew closer the arrangment of boulders it payed no attention to them and made no attempt to avoid them. As it reached the boulders it went to leap atop one and carry on, but as it left the boulder the others began to rise up and in a coordinated movement all moved to strike at the Green and knock it to the ground, where they pound on it till dead.


    Despite this surprise the Green did not seemworried and instead held a look of excitment within its eyes. Although theHorankar''s had enacted their ambush perfectly they had taken into acount how fast the Green was. It had shot off the firstHorankar and soon after landed upon the centreHorankar and used it as a jump pad to get out of the encirclement.


    Touching down without any troubles the Green swiftly turned to face theHorankar''s, they too were quick on their feet and turned to charge at the Green, but the Green had the speed and quickly clawed and bit at their ankles. The Green though quickly found out that it couldn''t do much in the way of fatal damage to them, due to their thick hide. This made it a battle of attrition. Would the Green be pummeled or would theHorankar''s be bled dry.


    The battle quickly became a game of cat and mouse with the cat chasing the mice and mice chasing the cat. Throughout it all the Green had taken a few hits but had managed to avoid being surrounded, it had also succeeded in slowing down the massive beasts, by cutting up their legs. The battleground had become stained red in their blood and the sun was in the process of setting.Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings.


    As the sun hit the horizon all that was left standing was the Green and twoHorankar''s. The Green had a limp leg, one missing tail and a number of long cuts along its back that had stopped bleeding. The Horankar''s were doing no better the first one was missing an arm and eye along with various cuts all across its body. The second still had all its limbs but had a large tear in its gut that was leaking a fair amount of blood and guts, needless to say it wouldn''t survive.


    Breathing had the Green went to charge the second one and fish out the rest of its innards, but the first got in the way. The Green then went between its legs and cut at the inner legs, knocking it down. Left without obstacles it once more charged for the secondHorankar and doding its attempt to grab ahold of it, the Green managed to get a mouthful of intestines and made to run away and pull out the rest. The secondHorankar quickly succumbed to its wounds and fell.


    Now left staring one another down the Green and firstHorankar just stood opposite one another growling at one another. TheHorankar drummed it chest and went for a final charge and tried hammering the Green, but only hit the ground as the Green avoided its strikes. The Green eventually found a chance to strike and ran up theHorankars arm and bit down on its throat with all of its strength and then gave a swift twist of its head and tour out theHorankars throat.


    In a shower of blood theHorankar finally fell with a loud thud, bringing a silence to the now red battleground. The Green was quick to follow theHorankar and collapsed itself, from exhaustion. It then slowly dragged its body over to a corpse and began digging in eating and drinking the blood, savouring its hard fought prize. After saiting its hunger the Green went to sleep among the corpses and began to heal itself, but leave the scars of its battle visible as a mark of respect for its opponents.

    The Green carried on its journeys across the lands in a similar manner, coming across numerous creatures some that put a good fight others that would turn tail and run. The Green would leave the scars of its worthy opponents and erase the ones it deemed unworthy. Despite how far the Green travelled it didn''t come across any truly powerful beings, nor did it take any interest in the local fawner and flauer and as such hadn''t suffered any losses, so it had gotten a little bored with all the fighting and wandering, becoming more careless in nature.


    Due to this carelessness the Green had inadvertantly walk into the territory of King Ants. Vicous cat sized ants that tore apart anything in their path, with mandibles actually strong enough to break rock and even a sonic attack that they used to stun their prey.


    As such when walking through a jungle it didn''t notice the tell tale signs of their territory markings, which were collapsed trees with chunks taken out and a scent sprayed over it. That is why when it was first struck the Green didn''t know what was happening and stumbled around dazed until a sharp pain shot through one of its legs. Noticing to late the swarm of Kings Ants coming out of the surrounding trees. The Green was quickly swarmed and torn apart.


    The Green''s POV


    ''Oh goddamn it that hurt like a mother fucker! The nerve of those fucking ants swarming on me like that. I could wipe out their puny arses without even using a pittance of my power.''


    The Green the sighed which sounded more like a humming sound.


    ''I suppose it''s my own fault though. I was quite bored with all of this wandering, maybe it was the lonliness of it all. I had no one to talk to or brag about how cool I was.''


    ''Hm maybe I should find a friend, see how that goes? Nah that won''t do they probably weak or boring. Ha! I know I''ll raise a companion, yeah I''ll baby of some sort and then raise it. Huhuhu I''m so smart. Wait for me companion I''m coming for you. Hahaha!''
