《REGIS the Forgotten》
Chapter 1: Awakening
Waking up, the first thing that received noticed was the luxurious canopy spread wide above of me. Thinking it strange, I rose up from a bed only to find that I am surrounded by books everywhere that rest upon golden bookshelves. I did not know where I was but it appears to be a library of massive scale. When I looked down at the sheets that covered me, their quality appeared quite high and they have a lovely design. This is very strange though. Why is there such a lovely bed in the middle of this ridiculously large library and why am I sleeping here?
While still looking around curiously, I suddenly noticed someone standing by the bed with a lovely smile on her face. I can¡¯t tell where she came from or if she was here the entire time but once I saw her, I could no longer look away. By her abrupt appearance, the usual reaction would probably be surprise, fear or embarrassment at being caught looking around but I could only stare. She is just that captivating, as if her entire existence is designed to capture the hearts of all in existence.
She wore a lovely white dress with golden embroidery that accentuated her perfectly curved and voluptuous figure, white gloves with elegant designs, and black gold type jewelry. The white dress contrasted beautifully with her long, silky black hair and black wings¡ Black wings?! Now that I look closer she has 10 of them as well as a pair of ivory horns that almost form a crown a top her head. Her golden irises with vertically slit pupils stared right at me from that flawless face causing my body to heat up slightly.
¡°My lord has resurrected, it is truly a wondrous joy that I, Seraphim, be the first to witness this glorious revival.¡±
For some reason she put her right hand on her ample chest, bowed and said that. Naturally I looked behind me as if she was talking to someone else as I have never met this person before but unfortunately, only I am here. When I looked back, she had risen and smiled lovingly at me again. You would think she just reunited with her long lost lover from that look.
¡°U-um¡¡±
Right when I decided to ask about it, someone else approached from behind her. He looked like an elegant, slightly older gentleman in a black tailcoat tux with a black shirt and white tie similar to a dark butler. I say slightly older gentleman because I cannot tell his age. Let¡¯s just say his light blue hair makes it hard to tell if it¡¯s gray from afar but even in a tux, I can tell his body is well toned and thick with muscle. He also came before me and like the time with the winged beauty, bowed gracefully before me.
¡°Princess, I am truly glad you have awoken.¡±
And just like before I was called again in a grand manner but this time I didn¡¯t look behind me. I have no idea why they are talking like that but I should probably find some courage and ask them.
¡°Umm¡ Excuse me, but please allow me to ask, who might you two be and where am I?¡±
Timidly and as politely as I could, I asked them. When I said so, both made surprised faces then extreme anger flared across their faces. It seems that little bit of courage just caused a disaster for me. This must be why there are always people more cowardly than courageous! Strangely, my life was not immediately forfeited and their anger quickly left when they looked at me again. The winged beauty came closer and I even tensed up at first but that lovely face puts me at ease.
This is bad! Her beauty is so strong that it even stops me from feeling danger from her! She leaned in closer at the side of the bed and asked¡
¡°Do you not recognize me, have you perhaps lost your memory?¡±
Memory? She asked about memory but I have it. If I didn¡¯t I would be quite troubled right?
¡°Would you please tell me your name?¡±
Name¡ now that I think about it, I have yet to say it even though she told me hers. Such poor manners¡
¡°My name is Seraphim.¡±
When I said that, shock returned to that beautiful face, is the anger going to come back as well? Maybe I should just stay quiet, but that would be quite rude and offensive to her. I have yet to say anything offensive to her so that might be why I have yet to receive that anger.
¡°Apologies, but that is my name.¡±
¡°Though we do have the same name, I do not think it is something to apologize for.¡±
To think she apologized! Is having the same name offensive perhaps? If so, maybe I should quickly apologize as well?
¡°That is not what I meant. Your name is not Seraphim, Seraphim is the name you gave me.¡±
¡°I did!?¡±
She nods her head at my surprise then asks if I knew the butler¡¯s name. The urge to immediately say ¡®no¡¯ assaulted me at first but now that I have searched my memory, I remember him. Rather, how could I forget someone with rainbow colored eyes that are always changing? I called him Sebastian after a while of thinking.
¡°Then what are you?¡±
After digging in my memories again, I answered.
¡°Seraphim¡ I am a Seraphim created from the unlikely combination of an arch angel and an arch devil by a supreme being and the only one I recognize as my god! Also known as Sera by my master!¡±
¡°I-I see¡¡±
Wow that was a mouthful or rather, to think we were both Seraphim. Perhaps she is called Sera as well. I have to say though, that sad face she has on now should not be on that beautiful face. Perhaps she is not fond that we are both Seraphim?
¡°It pains me to say this but you are not a Seraphim¡¡±
My head naturally tilts in confusion at her words. How am I not a Seraphim?
¡°If you find it troubling to believe, feel free to touch your wings.¡±
As she said so, I touched them or tried to at least. My wings that should naturally extend from my back were none existent! Panic very quickly consumed me as my wings that were a symbol of what I am were gone. I could barely ask in my panic¡
¡°My, my wings¡ where are they?!¡±
When I looked back at her, she had a very pained expression now.
¡°As I said before, you are not a Seraphim. It appears that you have my memories but have lost your own.¡±
¡°Why would I have your memories?!¡±
¡°I am not entirely sure but I will, without fail present an answer to you!¡±
Memories¡ so I lost my memories and have someone else¡¯s. This is quite a shock but now a new question comes to mind. Who am I really?
¡°May I ask, do you have memories other than being that of a Seraphim?¡±
The butler like person that had been standing in silence the entire time asked. Thinking about it, I have vague memories of being some really huge creature.
¡°I think so but this can¡¯t be me. I mean, is this not a dragon?¡±
I said so absent mindedly but for some reason they were shocked again. I seem to keep giving them shocks every time I speak. I¡¯m sorry¡
¡°I see¡ this may be related to our links connecting us and feeding our memories to our master as compensation for what may have been lost.¡±
I have no idea what he is talking about at all, though it seems this beauty understands him.
¡°If what you say is true Sebas, maybe if she meets everyone then her memories¡ or at least she will have our memories of her.¡±
¡°Indeed, but I have concern for so many memories flowing in at once, the shock may become a burden.¡±
¡°Our master is not so weak! Rather, not having memories is far more of a burden!¡±
¡°It is as you say, I will summon and inform everyone of the situation.¡±
¡°I will ready our master and present her.¡±
Seriously, what are they talking about? I wish they would make things simpler for me, rather, don¡¯t exclude me just because you now know I lack memories! Ah¡ I may be quite the selfish person. Strangely finding simple joy in discovering something about myself, a hand was extended to me. Almost as if automatic, I took the extended hand that helped me off of the bed. At that very moment, I realized my short stature. My face only reached those ample mounds protruding in front of her called breasts! Also, I am indeed a girl. Though they said things like she and her, when I realized that I had no memories of my own, that possibility came to mind. Anyway, when I got off the bed, I thought to let go of her hand but didn¡¯t. I wonder if her beauty can control me to such an extent.
While thinking such trivial things, the scenery around us had changed. I looked around in a panic and found 4 maids with their heads bowed. I would have probably been fine and able to realize from the memories of Seraphim as to what she did but one of the maids threw my thinking into disarray. What should be a head of lovely hair was in fact a head full of emerald snakes coiled around each other into a lovely bun. Though I will admit the scales of those colorful snakes were quite beautiful, that only came after I recovered. Sadly, I only recovered after I had been stripped naked and standing nude in front of a rather pointlessly large marble bath. By pointlessly large, I mean it is practically an indoor lake!If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Standing still in a daze in front of the heated lake, I finally realized that I am not alone here when the footsteps behind me became audible. Turning to look, I received a massive feast for the eyes! Also in the nude was that pointlessly beautiful and overly sexy Seraphim! Ah¡ I feel like every time I see her she is more beautiful. Even as someone of the same gender, she could captivate me and make me her love slave! While now in a daze for an entirely different reason, my body was washed all over. From the tips of my hair all the way to the ends of my toes were washed thoroughly, even the unmentionables were delicately kneaded with her bare fingers! I may have seen a very creepy face on this beauty in my dazed state as well. I¡¯m sorry you had to wash me because my brain stopped, but now I feel like a rape victim! Next time I will definitely do it myself, so don¡¯t make that face anymore¡ please!
After that ridiculous bath, the maids dried my body and made me wear a light purple dress with amethyst gems and embroidery that I originally thought to be silver but was actually white gold. This dress really complements my amethyst eyes and white gold hair quite well! Though I say white gold, it has a purple hue which makes it look both white gold and amethyst. There is also a small amethyst gem embedded in the middle of my forehead for some reason. Really, this place is amazing! Now that I think back, they never did answer my question of where I am. This may be some royal palace and I don¡¯t have much confidence in my manners lacking memory and such. After being dressed, Seraphim returned in a white dress similar to the one before. Ugh¡ it¡¯s quite hard to look her in the eyes after what I saw and what she did to me.
Again she held her hand out to me without a word but despite me thinking to resist, my hand gently rested a top her palm as the scenery changed again. This time I half expected it so I was not too surprised, but the place we moved to was like an audience chamber in some grand palace. She gestured for me to sit on what could only be describe as a throne, and yet again I could not resist. Is she seriously somehow controlling me or does my brain just go on auto when I see her and chooses not to resist? Either way I sat down obediently but what I saw that was now in front of me shocked me more than anything today! If I thought even a little about relevant things rather than being captivated by Sera¡¯s pointless beauty and erotic figure, I would have foreseen this¡ probably.
In front of the thrown all kneeling before me spread a variety of different people. Though I say variety, that did not mean there were a lot of them but no 2 were ever shaped the same let alone looked the same. Though they were all different, I instinctively knew what they were! Perhaps this is because of Seraphim¡¯s memories? Paying no heed to my confusion, the black clothed butler from earlier who somehow managed to appear right next to me spoke to those in attendance.
¡°The situation is as I have explained earlier! Though our master has finally resurrected, I am afraid there are still some after effects. Regardless, our loyalty remains strong! Come forward and pledge your loyalty once more to our beloved master!¡±
He declared to everyone kneeling. But master¡ master? Are they talking about me? Though I am still somewhat confused, for them to call me master must be a joke right? After hearing these words, the first to rise and step forward was a large 2.5 meter tall skeleton. He wore black robes with gold trimmings revealing his rib cage and a golden crown atop his skull. He carried in his hand a golden scepter adorned with many different jewels. Now standing before me he bowed then introduced himself.
¡°I am the ¡®Undying King¡¯ that continues to worship and follow you even in death. My name is ¡®Grim Hell Scythe¡¯ and once more I offer you my undying loyalty.¡±
He said so proudly. What the hell was that?! Am I really their master?! This damn Seraphim could have mentioned something at least once before we came here! I mean yeah, I was thinking stupid things most of the time but is this not something worth mentioning ahead of time?! Hmm¡ what¡¯s happening now? I see¡ is this his memories perhaps? Rather, are they trying to give me everyone¡¯s memories so I can know who I am?! That is clearly a bad idea! My brain has been overloading with no memories all this time so if I suddenly receive memories from everyone here, there won¡¯t be much brain left! Despite my inner turmoil, Grim had returned to the line and was kneeling again. Now standing in front of me is a young girl with ash white skin smooth like porcelain, ash white hair tied into a ponytail covered by a deep red bonnet cap and deep blood red eyes. Spreading the deep red ball gown dress that she wore like a drape, she curtsied before me.
¡°I am the ¡®Vampire Queen¡¯ that holds faith solely in my master and creator. My name is ¡®Luminas Valentine¡¯ and I once more offer you my eternal faith.¡±
Again the memories flowed into me. I try not to focus on them as there are a lot. If I go through all, I know my brain will die a miserable death. It makes me wonder if I was perhaps someone stupid before but I forgive my current self as I lack my own memories. These introductions continued on and on as my brain very quickly overloaded and I collapsed on the throne at the end. Quite pathetic for someone they call there master. Well, even after all of that I still only have a vague idea of what I am since I could not go through all the memories. I mean, first of all, these guys are all really old and have thousands of years¡¯ worth of memories each! I thought I might have been stupid before but as my brain survived all of it till the end, I must have been very smart! Haha¡ optimism.
From what I gathered from all those introductions though is that I made kings and queens as a representation of various things. For example, Grim and Luminas were a representation of aspects of death. The most extreme representations though may be the 7 sins and 7 virtues. If they were like the others then for one of the seven sins like pride, there would be one male and one female. However, all the deadly sins were male only and all the virtues were female only. They were then paired with their counterpart. When I realized this, I thought they would hate each other¡¯s guts as they were complete opposites but they all loved their counterparts dearly, like they complete each other. I could not understand it but those 14 were the strongest fighting force here lead by a true monster named Seraphim.
Seraphim had no partner. Apparently she was created solely for my personal use, supposedly being my greatest masterpiece, at the same time my most hated creation. She represents depravity and divinity as she is a cross between an arch devil and an arch angel. She is considered an abomination by others¡ how the hell can someone even call this beauty as such?! Rather, how did I think that supposed atrocity could possibly be me?! Then there is Sebastian, my first creation that apparently became the first dragon and dragon god. In truth, I did not create him but he came into existence by himself so he lacks a partner as well. I only helped him along and modified him as I pleased whenever he came to say hi. Those two were by far the strongest here.
There are others as well but they were the standard pair format. Pairs that represent things like the sea and sky were also made. Seraphim and her subordinates were unique in their representations but everyone else is unique in appearance. Simply put, they were all some sort of monster! Then there are the maids. They were somewhat unique as well but not calamities like Sebastian and Seraphim... I think. They were all female of course but their partners were nonexistent as they were all beasts of calamities instead such as a giant phoenix, serpentine dragon, elemental tailed fox, chimera spider-ant etc. All of the maids were subordinate to Esmeralda, the snake haired head maid. There were other maids unrelated to beasts as well such as an automaton and doppelganger but there purposes were extra unique instead.
Though it seems like I made them, I really didn¡¯t want to admit it but this situation we are in is entirely my fault! When my consciousness returned, I found myself back on my bed with a worried Seraphim next to me. From the memories, I understood what happened to me but not the specifics. Simply put, I angered the gods. Ah¡ by the way, I am or was a goddess. As a god, I grew too powerful and became an odd ball goddess. As a god, I gave myself a physical body which is only seen as a prison to gods without form. Then, my creations that almost seemed like an attempt to create gods were all hated as things that should not exist. I think this idea is because they are made as representations the same way gods can represent certain things. Because of this, I created an asylum for them to gather in which is where I am now. This asylum housed things that were not of my creation as well, and a lot too but this only agitated the gods more as they joined together to destroy me.
Long story short, I made a kingdom, went to war with the gods and lost splendidly! I mean, was there even any hope of me winning? My creations that were not strong enough to survive an attack from gods were all slaughtered and those not of my creation were forcibly removed and sent back to where they came from. The scale of loss we received was so large leaving barely 50 of my creations alive that were sealed away with my body. When I talked with Sera about it she kept apologizing but in truth, I brought those gods on us doing as I pleased so it is entirely my fault. She told me our losses were around 300 million. That¡¯s how many people I sheltered from the gods but only 50 survived! They also successfully destroyed me.
I asked if Sera understood why I lost my memories but she only had a hypothesis. She thinks that because I grew so strong, the other gods could not outright kill me but only weaken me. Because of this, they planned to banish me to another world. However, they could not force me into another world without resistance from that world, so they created a new world from scratch. I became a sacrifice for the creation of a new world and the seal that kept my creations inside. She told me all this with eyes filled and overflowing with tears apologizing again and again for not protecting me. The creation of this new world slowly chipped away at me and to my memories it would seem. To the gods, this may have been the best way to kill me and they certainly succeeded. Strangely though, I held no anger nor hatred for the gods as I understood why they did this. It would be different if I had my old memories though but without them, I can look at it objectively.
This failure of a goddess should have been dead though, how did I wake up? When I asked, she claimed the best she can think of is that when I became completely empty, my links which connect me to them opened possibly to sustain my body. I¡¯ve been asleep for a few thousand years trapping them in this place. If they had destroyed my body they could have easily escaped but for them, they could never even think of doing it. There is something I am curious about though, their true master has already died but will they still follow this weak me who is not even a god anymore? The answer came almost instantaneously, she even claimed that they could not live without me! If I was not an odd ball goddess who gave themselves a physical body, I definitely would not have come back and disappeared with the creation of this world. Though I am just the shell of a former god, I will try my best to live up to those who are left behind and still follow me.
After our talk, I went to explore this golden floating castle but it was too big. I mean, it did house millions of people but this so called castle is like its own private world! There were 100 floors and each floor is the size of a country. As I had control of this place, I could close my eyes and see anywhere in the castle leading me to immediately give up walking around. The 100th floor is my exclusive domain that I would usually reside but now I am on the 60th floor. I came here to learn what I can do in my weakened state but as expected, I am weak. These guys could easily erase my existence, I just hope none of them attack me because I will definitely lose.
After coming to terms with how weak I am, I went to the lower world with Sebas. The others wanted to come as well but I think it would be bad traveling with so many people that stand out so much. Sera even pushed her wings and horns into another plane of existence just to look like a human but her beauty alone would attract too much attention. Though I would definitely say that the face I have is extremely cute. Sera¡¯s is the seductive type that men would endlessly crave for only to die a fruitless death in the pursuit. So, I set off from the castle in the sky to the ground with Sebas. Just to be clear, I most certainly am not running away!
¡
Chapter 2:
¡°Why! Why is this happening?!¡±
A youth screamed as he swung his sword back and forth. Trying his best to keep the beasts at bay, he flailed his sword wildly. A small rural village was currently being overrun by beasts flooding in from the forest. The village was being completely overrun by beasts attacking villagers and destroying homes. The youth screaming with sword in hand did not live in this village so he could simply run away to save himself, but behind his back sat a friend he made in this village and her little sister. The sisters¡¯ parents were already killed and eaten by the beasts but with their last breath, they begged the youth to protect their daughters. He tried to get them both out of the village but failed as they were surrounded by the beasts that tore into one of the girls and broke the elder sister¡¯s leg. They could no longer run away together as the situation grew direr.
The elder sister pleaded with her friend to abandon her and save her younger sister but the boy stubbornly refused and continued to wildly swing his sword to keep them at bay. When he became tired, the beasts suddenly retreated rather than finish them off. They retreated with tails between their legs as if their lives depended on it. Seeing this, the 3 felt relieved and the boy slumped on the ground exhausted. However, soon after a large shadow covered not only them but the entire village and the retreating beasts! They all panicked and looked for the source of this shadow only to be thrown into complete despair.
Above their village stood the imposing figure of a huge dragon the size of a mountain that had landed. The villagers¡¯ momentary relief now plunged them into such a deep despair that they did not even run anymore and just waited for their deaths to come. Some closed their eyes praying, others fainted, many soiled themselves and few lost their sanity completely. Abruptly, the dragon overhead vanished without a trace! The few villagers that dared to not close their eyes were shocked into silence. The boy as well had no words to say, however, a clear and beautiful melodic voice sounded behind him.
¡°Oh¡ your leg seems to be hurt.¡±
The boy quickly turned around with sword at the ready only to see a truly beautiful girl kneeling beside the sisters. She wore a lovely dress hidden underneath a hooded mantle. The girl then stretched her hand toward the elder sister¡¯s leg.
¡°This should ease the pain a bit.¡±
Without warning, light came from the girls hand and enveloped the sister¡¯s leg. Moments later, the leg had been completely healed and the sister inspected her leg almost in disbelief. The boy barely recognized it as healing magic and then came closer to check if the leg had been completely healed as well. While confirming such, the hooded girl walked away heading for the village. Immediately he called out to stop her.
¡°Wait! Wh-who are you?!¡±
However, she ignored him and kept walking to the village. It was then that he noticed the girl was not alone. A man in black followed her and strangely, he had blue hair. Seemly getting no response, the boy turned back to the elder sister again.
¡°Are you okay?!¡±
He asked in a panic.
¡°Ye-yeah. The pain is gone¡ w-was that perhaps healing magic?¡±
She was clearly shaken as he answered ¡®yes¡¯ in turn. After checking her leg and standing up again, he gave a sigh of relief. Then the image of the dragon from before came to mind. Just then, a large dragon had descended then disappeared over the village followed by the strange girl. Completely confused about what was going on, quickly they went after the girl to warn her.If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
When they entered the village again, most of it was destroyed. Blood and gore had been spread about in various places. The groan of many injured and in pain filled the air. Regardless of this chaos, there were multiple objects moving about through the rubble. They were stone golems lifting up fallen houses, moving rubble, also carrying the fallen and injured to the center of the village. At the center of the village, they found that strange girl healing those that came. From minor injuries to those at death¡¯s door, all were healed completely without exception.
Those healed from death thanked her almost as if worshiping her. Despite this, the girl seemed completely indifferent about the praise and continued healing. Watching her, the youth was once again captivated by the beautiful face under the hood healing the injured villagers. The youth approached the girl after she finished healing the villagers and repeated his question from earlier.
¡°Who are you?¡±
The girl turned to look at him with a troubled expression, then as if thinking a bit gave her name.
¡°¡ Though it is proper manners to give your name first before asking someone theirs. The name is Histoire, and you are?¡±
¡°Ah¡ sorry, I am Joseph.¡±
What she said was indeed true which he forgot about.
¡°What is the name of this village?¡±
¡°Ah, Cora¡ Cora village.¡±
¡°We see¡ does this type of thing happen often?¡±
¡°No, never!¡±
¡°Umm¡¡±
Two girls walked up behind Joseph suddenly, interrupted and bowed to Histoire.
¡°Thank you for saving us earlier, as well as the village.¡±
¡°We were simply passing by, that¡¯s all. Pay it no heed.¡±
¡°But¡¡±
¡°More importantly, are you two lovers?¡±
¡°Ha?!¡±
The girl exclaimed and blushed in surprise. Even Joseph turned red as he started slurring his words.
¡°Wh-wh-what are ya talkin about?!¡±
¡°Just simple curiosity from how desperate you looked wanting to protect her and refusing to leave her.¡±
¡°I-I-I-I-I-I-IIIII-I¡¡±
¡°Personally, we find that type of attitude to be quite admirable, though spirit alone won¡¯t give you the win.¡±
¡°Urgh¡¡±
Joseph groaned after having his unsightly figure seen by such a beautiful girl. Histoire then pat the head of the little sister hiding behind her blushing sister¡¯s dress before walking away. Watching her walk away, they saw the village chief approach Histoire as the little sister only muttered one word.
¡°Pretty¡!¡±
¡
Chapter 3:
Walking away, the main thing that went through my mind was that those children were cute and fun to tease. Despite having a body that would be of similar age, talking made me realize that I might be very mature mentally. I even have thoughts that I am only a few days old as I lack personal memories. Suddenly, an elderly man ran up to me short of breath. It seems he watched me the entire time healing the villagers but waited tactfully for me to finish before addressing the situation.
¡°Excuse me, I am the village chief Edward. You have my gratitude for saving this village, but may I ask who exactly are you?¡±
He seems to be forcing himself to be polite, or is he just not use to it?
¡°Histoire.¡±
¡°Then, Lady Histoire. Though it pains me to say this, we are truly grateful for your help but we have little to compensate you with.¡±
¡°Not interested¡¡±
¡°¡!¡±
The hell! Don¡¯t look so surprised!
¡°We did not help to receive compensation but simply on a whim. Feel free to ignore our presence.¡±
¡°My thanks.¡±
¡°That aside, do you know why this happened?¡±
¡°No¡ the most likely possibility would be the loss of the ruler of the forest.¡±
¡°Loss as in death? If that were so, would there really be so much concentrated here? If anything, would they not scatter?¡±
¡°I apologize for not being of help.¡±
¡°What if this was an attack from the ruler of the forest?¡±
¡°This village has lived alongside the ruler of the forest and received its protection for over fifty years now, so¡¡±
¡°You think it impossible? *Sigh*, forget it. So, what are your losses?¡±
¡°Almost half of the villagers were lost. It may have been more if not¡¡±
¡°We said we are not interested in your thanks!¡±
The village chief went really quiet. Maybe that was a bit much? Well, it¡¯s too late now.
¡°With all that¡¯s happened, I am sure things will be rough so pay me no heed.¡±
¡°I have returned, princess.¡±
At this moment, Sebas had returned and bowed to me. Where was he all this time you ask? Scouting and investigating the village and surroundings. Luckily only I heard that princess part.
¡°What have you found?¡±
Ugh¡ having to use this overbearing attitude is annoying. Because those guys are against me acting meek, I am trying to adopt this attitude with them.
¡°Yes¡ I found these scattered around the village.¡±
Sebas opened a cloth hung over his back and showed me what was inside. Immediately a frown graced my cute face. They were ugly discolored rocks with multiple holes and releasing a strange odor. It was strangely not the odor or what these were used for that made me frown, but the ugliness of those rocks. I turned back to the village chief who is still here and asked¡
¡°Do you know what these are?¡±
He shook his head side to side in ignorance. This is so troubling. Well, I believe there was something called ¡®ignorance is bliss¡¯ but clearly that is wrong. I guess I will explain when things have calmed down.
¡°If I may ask, I believe there was a dragon here as well but was that also due to Lady Histoire?¡±
He really is trying hard to be polite. I somehow expected this question when we landed and have already thought of an answer. Behold my amazing incite!
¡°Fear not, that was simply an illusion. Did it not come and go instantly?¡±
¡°Indeed! Thank the heavens it was not real!¡±
Eh¡ he is so relieved that he dropped that fake politeness. Maybe that was his biggest worry? If he finds out that said dragon stood behind me, what face would I see next? Ah¡ I might have a bad personality but let¡¯s not self-reflect now.
¡°Ah¡ excuse me but I must aid the village.¡±
Huh? ... Now you need to aid them after you have learned what you want? Well, whatever. Parting ways with the village chief, I wandered around the village aimlessly. After the cleanup and identifying those that were lost came the mourning. Those sisters, Enri and Enfi have also lost both of their parents. Enri, the bigger of the two seemed to try and hold it in to comfort her little sister but as expected, she too broke down and wept. Seeing this scene gave me the urge to try and help them but with their parents eaten, there was little I could do. This village lost a lot of men that worked the fields leaving behind widows and orphan children. Like this, will they even survive? The thought of bringing them back with me crossed my mind, sadly I am hesitant due to the loss of so many others in my so called ¡®sanctuary¡¯.
After burying the remains, I talked and played with the village children trying to cheer them up. It may only be a temporary thing but I just wanted them to smile a bit. I showed them various stories with positive scenes using illusionary magic. While we were playing, the village became rowdy again. I thought they were being attacked again but apparently knights from the nearby kingdom were coming here. So Late!!! The village chief asked if I would meet them as I saved the village but I really didn¡¯t want to. Shortly after, a cavalry of knights entered the village. The only ones to meet them were the village chief and myself with Sebas.
¡°I am the 3rd prince of the Este Ran kingdom, Claude Agastya Este Ran! I have come to aid and investigate due to the recent monster attacks!¡±This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.
The lead horse came to a halt before us and announced his name. Though he is honestly quite the handsome prince, I care little about it as he said something that caught my attention. He said recent monster attacks but I was told that this has never happened before. If what he says is true, other places have been attacked as well. It¡¯s not like I am ignoring the prince thing. Just, I recently met people with king and queen titles right after I woke up, I am also called a princess. I should be surprised that a prince is way out here away from his country but I am the same. Rather, he has multiple knights guarding him while I just have Sebas. When the chief heard this, he immediately knelt down.
¡°I am this village¡¯s chief, Edward. Though Your Highness has graciously come all this way to assist us, the danger has passed.¡±
¡°I see¡ it seems we arrived a bit late.¡±
Not just a bit!!
¡°By the way, this is?¡±
Wahh¡ the knights behind him are looking at me and Sebas with the stink eye. They are probably mad because we did not bow to the prince but sorry, I am more afraid of what will happen if I did bow than those looks. Essentially, a king does not bow and I am a king of kings. Yep, impossible, just the idea gives me the shivers! Rather, get off your horse! I am already short and do not wish to be looked down upon!
¡°This young lady is Histoire and her attendant Sebastian, she saved this village.¡±
¡°Is that so¡¡±
He finally got off his horse and lightly bowed to me. Seems like a soldier¡¯s bow.
¡°You have my sincere gratitude.¡±
When he raised his head, his eyes locked onto the stone golems standing like statues in the background for a second then came back to me. I have no idea what that look on his face means but I know I don¡¯t like it.
¡°By the way, I see earth golems there... is it perhaps the young lady¡¯s doing?¡±
¡°Yes¡¡±
¡°If possible, I would like to receive information detailing what happened here.¡±
¡°Then, perhaps an information exchange? There is something we are curious about as well.¡±
¡°Gladly¡¡±
After saying thus, he signaled some men to survey and investigate the area. I still received some suspicious looks from a few men but it seems hearing that I saved the village helped. Maybe I look suspicious wearing a hooded cloak? I¡¯ll stop caring about their gazes for now.
¡°Then, let us find a place to begin¡¡±
At his words, I sat down in the chair that appeared behind me and removed my hood. Well, it was not just the one chair as a table and chair for the prince appeared as well. I didn¡¯t notice right away but his posture was of one trying to usher me somewhere with a shocked expression. Looking closer, everyone had shocked faces. If anything the prince showed the least shock.
¡°This is?¡±
¡°A chair and table...¡±
He seemed to compose himself and asked, but is it not something obvious?
¡°No, no¡ what I mean is where did they come from? They were not here just now!¡±
¡°We summoned them?¡±
¡°Don¡¯t ask me!¡±
I only put it like that because that might be the best way to describe it! From their surprise I could tell actually explaining it would be difficult. Why you ask? Obviously because I barely understand it myself. The best way I can explain it is warping space and overlapping this place with items back home. That¡¯s why even marble covered the ground beneath our feet. Since I am connected to that place, something like this came natural to me.
¡°For now, take a seat.¡±
With a slight sigh, he sat before me. Two men came up to either side of him who he introduced to me. One is as young as the prince named Bernard but did not seem to fit as a knight, maybe a magi? Then the bulky old man named Galad that has been giving me a suspicious look from before in full plate armor intensifies his stares. I as well, reintroduced Sebas then we started the real discussion.
¡°First I would like to know what happened and how Lady Histoire got involved here.¡±
¡°They were attacked by wild beasts, many died and the beasts retreated into the forest after they had their fill. As for us, we were merely passing by when we saw it.¡±
¡°¡ I was told that you saved the village. I am aware that a magic caster as powerful as yourself wishes to keep your techniques secret but I ask that you provide as much details as you can.¡±
¡°Umm¡ even if they said that we saved the village, it is not like we fought the attackers.¡±
¡°¡ But?¡±
¡°All we did was heal the injured and cast an illusion spell to make them retreat. You can confirm this with the villagers if you still doubt us.¡±
¡°No, it¡¯s not that¡ just¡¡±
Why are they looking at Sebas and the golems? They must have assumed they made them retreat. Sebas does have a well-toned body visible even through his suite and anyone can see that a stone golem somewhat strong.
¡°Just¡ if what you say is true, they may attack again.¡±
¡°That is very true. Especially with these in the village.¡±
As I said so, Sebas accurately read the flow of things and placed the weird stones from before on the table. These guys seem to know what these are based on their intense reactions but the village chief standing to the side still does not know.
¡°You know what these are correct?¡±
¡°Unfortunately yes. These are called lures that attract beasts and throw them into a frenzy.¡±
¡°These were scattered around the village.¡±
Hearing this, the surprise on the village chief¡¯s face was quite amusing but I¡¯ll keep that to myself. I don¡¯t want to be seen as a wicked woman.
¡°What we wanted to ask is whether this has happened in other villages?¡±
¡°Yes, other villages have been completely lost. That¡¯s why once again I would like to thank you.¡±
With a pained expression he bowed again to me. Is he not a prince? I thought royalty should not bow their heads but he seems to do it without a care. Bernard took the stones away and burned them with magic. He really was a magi!
¡°There is something that confuses us though. Are these villages even worth destroying like this? Also, for the prince of the country himself to show up to slay mere beasts is quite strange. That¡¯s why we would like to ask, are these lures meant for you and not those beasts?¡±
¡°¡ It is as you say...¡±
¡°Hmm¡ that means another attack will definitely come, this time from humans.¡±
Ah¡ the village chief is panicking again. Well, anyone in his position would.
¡°You are quite calm about this. You must have a lot of confidence.¡±
¡°It¡¯s not like they are after us. Besides, we have Sebas with us and can leave anytime.¡±
¡°I see¡ Is there anything else you would like to know?¡±
¡°Hmm¡ then, we would like to know the value of these.¡±
Placing 3 different coins on the table, I asked for their value. One gold, one mithril and one orihalcum. When I did, the prince¡¯s attendants made an uproar. Maybe money is different here and does not use these metals? The village chief was also surprised and ran to retrieve some scale at the prince¡¯s request from his home. From this, I somewhat understand its value. The normal currency rate is 10, meaning; 10 copper equates to 1 silver, 10 silver equates to 1 gold and so on. The value of my coins however, are more than there standard currency because it is a pure gold coin and not mixed with silver or other metals. Apparently, orihalcum is a type of coin from lost civilizations and worth a lot but is usually only in the possession of royalty. Of course I lied and said it was found in some ruins but no one seemed to believe me.
During all this, one of the prince¡¯s men came and reported that the village has been surrounded. He gave them orders to prepare to move out but saying it as such makes it seem like he is abandoning the village. Well in truth, that is exactly what he¡¯s doing but his reason is to avoid fighting in the village.
¡°By the way Lady Histoire, is it possible to hire you or perhaps your subordinate?¡±
¡°We are afraid that is impossible.¡±
¡°I see, then perhaps those golems¡¡±
¡°Then the village would be defenseless.¡±
It seems like his subordinates want to get angry at my attitude but what I said is right and the prince accepted it. Taking the golems would indeed leave the village defenseless and inviting us is probably just to see if we would accept. It would be bad to involve others and he accepted that.
¡°We will be off then. You should take shelter with the villagers as well.¡±
¡°Good luck.¡±
¡°With a lovely lady cheering me on, how could I possibly lose?¡±
Leaving such a line he left with his knights. He was certainly a handsome blonde prince but did he think that he could steel my heart with such a line? I think Sera has a much higher chance of that just by breathing in my general direction but I digress. Well, though he said to take shelter, I have yet to move. Rather, now a mirror lays on the table in front of me and in that mirror displayed the prince and his knight cavalry. The villagers and the chief have all huddled in the largest house with the golems there standing guard. The reason I stayed outside was simply to see the strength of humans in this world.

Chapter 4:
The 3rd prince quickly left the village for the battlefield. Despite this, his mood was quite good. This was entirely due to the mysterious girl he just met. When he first noticed her, she had her hood up and he was very cautious. However, when she removed her hood revealing such beauty she instantly captivated his heart. To him who had met many of women as a prince, she held a unique beauty like a rare jewel that one could only encounter due to pure luck. Her snow white alluring flesh and fragrance, unique hair and eye color, as well as her regal aura that even he could not reproduce to such a degree all stimulated his desires. Even the clothes hidden under her cloak were elegant and very high quality despite only seeing a glimpse of it. He was not simply captivated by her looks either but also her mind. In the palace, he could choose any beautiful girl for his own and they would shower him with flattery and respect. However, she did not care for such titles and even talked down to him.
¡°Listen up! The goal is to draw them away from the village! We charge in and attack followed by a quick retreat, we will choose the battlefield not them!¡±
¡°¡±YEAH!!!¡±¡±
The prince ordered his men and received a loud cheer in confirmation from them. Even if the prince¡¯s thoughts were elsewhere, he performed his duties perfectly. Such a mindset would be seen as unfit for battle but this actually motivated him instead. In his mind, he must not let any form of harm befall the delicate flesh of such a lovely lady. Earlier he asked if she would like to be hired as she seemed to be a magic caster, and an adventurous one at that. He simply wanted to confirm and learn more about her but she put the safety of the villagers first. This had greatly impressed him but he did have curious thoughts about her magic ability after seeing so many golems. The prince was well aware of the golem¡¯s strength from experience. His experience also told him how dangerous her protector was. He as well had unique light blue hair but what really caught his attention was that forged body of steel barely hidden beneath his attire.
The cavalry of knights quickly saw the entrapment line as they left the village. As ordered, they charged at their enemy to break through their line and quickly retreat. Their enemies all had summoned and tamed beasts beside them. Despite seeing the wide variety of creatures before them, the cavalry did not stop or change course but continued to charge forward. The 3rd prince leading them in battle scanned the beasts and used his experience to try and locate their leader. His findings lead to a man with 2 red salamanders next to him. Red salamanders are a lower class of dragon without wings but they are still very hard to control. This fact lead the prince to believe him to be the leader and acting on this, he fired an arrow before they met. One of the salamanders easily deflected the arrow away with its tail signaling the start of battle. In the prince¡¯s mind, taking out the leader would give them an immediate advantage so he charge him. However, naturally being attacked warranted retaliation. The prince was prepared for an attack but was not prepared to have his horse forcibly controlled throwing him off its back.
¡°Charge! Keep going forward men!!!¡±
The prince yelled as some of the men stopped because of him. One of his aids came quickly to pick him up and extended a hand from atop their horse to pick up the prince as they rode by. An act performed and practiced many of times for situations like these. However, the prince could not grab that hand. Jumping away from the arrows that pierced his position, he drew his sword while evading. It seemed those beast tamers would defiantly refuse his escape. They cared little about the others escaping and focused solely on the 3rd prince.
¡°Bernard! Galad! I leave the men to you!¡±
¡°Your High¡¡±
¡°Let me have fun once in a while will you!¡±
Interrupting Bernard, the prince showed a fearless smile and charged with sword in hand while his men retreated by horse. The 3rd prince is indeed strong and talented but one man against a small army just seemed impossible. The men indeed took out a few of the beasts in passing but that number seemed insignificant for what is to come. The leader gave commands to the summoners to attack and planned to test the fighting strength of the prince. Mud and tree golems all charged the prince probably in an attempt to steel his weapon away. This was a common strategy for summoners as weapons would get stuck in these golems. The prince was somewhat glad and disappointed at this outcome. Glad because he would be overwhelmed if everything came at him alone yet disappointed that they were underestimating him.
The 3rd prince¡¯s sword skills were high enough to cut a stone golems body and these golems were far weaker, only numerous. The prince easily cut them down without much trouble but he was mistaken about something. Golems were completely disposable assets. Wave after wave could be sent at him to tire him out. Surrounded, he could not run either and he quickly realized this fact after the third wave. It seemed they planned to take him down slowly now that he was alone but this changed do to the return of the knights¡¯ cavalry charging into the enemy led by Galad.
¡°As if we would abandon the prince!!!¡±
¡°Charge! Don¡¯t let them lay a finger on His Highness!¡±
Followed by similar shouts, the knights¡¯ cavalry returned to the battlefield. The battle escalated quickly and with the return of the knights, the prince need not conserve his strength anymore. This also applied to their enemy as everyone joined the attack. The prince used magic to physically enhance his body and rushed through the crowds to join up with his knights cutting down anything in his way. After a quick exchange with his aids, they fought together, side by side.
There were 30 knights against 10 summoners and 10 tamers. 30 against 20 would indeed seem to be in their favor but the amount of beasts and summoned creatures easily went into the hundreds. The knights fought valiantly and together against their enemy. The disposable golems that led the charge were dealt with fairly well showing the knights¡¯ strength and skill however, those were only distractions. Canine beasts would aim for their limbs and restrict their movements. Armored armadillo bears would claw at those bond or curl their bodies up into a giant armored ball mowing everything down in their path. Various colored lizards would spray acid and try to poison the knights with their bite. If those beasts were simply a disorganized mob, the knights would surely triumph. However, their unity and teamwork were definitely first class and able to match that of humans.
The beasts were not the only opponent the knights had to worry about either. The beast tamers would stay far out of the reach of swords and fire arrows at them. The arrows did not come rapidly but occasionally and with precision aimed at the limbs. A dreadful strategy to pick them off slowly and efficiently. After taking a shot, one would quickly change position and hide behind the mass of beasts and golems before finding a new position to shoot from, repeating this process. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
The summoners controlling the golems suddenly stopped at the command of the leader and began summoning magical beasts instead of golems. Two headed serpents with wings, fire breathing dogs, poison breathing lizards with two tails, and even a chimera was summoned. Clearly things took a turn for the worse. The use of the disposable weak golems were meant to tire the knights out while the summoners conserved their true strength. The prince and his aides had severely misjudged the situation assuming both side were in a stalemate. If they had thought deeply about it, they would have seen it clearly as not only did the leader not participate at all, the other summoners had not once attacked with magic together with their golems like the tamers.
Seeing the situation grow dire by the second, the prince charged out after enchanting his body for swift movement. His plan was simple, take out the leader organizing the attacks. The prince and Galad were the only ones to not sustain any injury at all but Galad could not break through. Cutting down all in his path he charged until stopped by the two red salamanders. The salamanders had set themselves ablaze then attacked as per their master¡¯s orders. Seeing the spectacle the prince briefly hesitated before blocking the fangs of one of the salamanders. The large lizard was definitely strong but he had no time to be impressed as the other one circled around him. Tilting the force away from his body, he passed by the lizard in front to not be encircled but received a hit from its tail preventing him from going near their master.
Seeing the smooth actions of the two salamanders, he concluded that they were well train and experienced in fighting humans, refusing to let him pass easily. From the corner of his eyes he could already see that most of the knights had collapsed with few still having fight in their eyes. Charging at the salamanders again he readied himself. When the foremost bore its fangs, he went under it smoothly and stabbed straight for the heart piercing its soft under scales. ¡®One down¡¯ he thought and went to face the other but was promptly bitten on the shoulder setting him ablaze. The claws also tried to wrap around him, luckily losing strength and collapsing beforehand. His aid Bernard, quickly extinguished the flames with magic but he had already received some burns. His shoulder now bloody and almost broken was then lunged after by the remaining salamander which he stab in the throat. Learning from last time he quickly retreated from the claws which tried to grab him. He made sure to keep his eyes on the last salamander until it bled out.
Turning away from the salamanders that died, he faced their master. Clearly undisturbed by the loss of his pets and only observing from the back, the prince felt it ominous as everything so far has seemed perfectly planned. In the fight just now as well he offered no support to the salamanders and simply watched them die. Despite having this feeling, he could not hesitate any longer as his men were falling still and charged forward. Luckily he kept his guard up as his charge was immediately halted by a black knight¡¯s sword that clashed with his, forcing him back. Suddenly his situation got a lot worse as he had been surrounded by 4 black knights. Fighting beasts was a lot easier than fighting skilled swordsmen and they were saved as the last line of defense.
Upon looking closer, they were not knights but empty moving full body armors. This could be seen as a type of golem but unlike the ones before, this could be said to be an undying warrior. The true identity of the warrior would be a spirit possessing a suite of armor and moving it. Attacking the armor is pointless and would not stop just because you have separated the pieces as either the summoner or the spirit can reconnect them. Now he had to face 4 of these at once with an injured shoulder, as well as the summoner that still seems to have something else in reserve.
The prince was indeed confident in his skills and thought had it been one on one, no one could best him. However, that did not mean others fought with the same logic, or rather, for them this was a hunt and not a battle. The knights have been whittled down without so much as touching one of their enemies. Facing the 4 black knights still, the prince¡¯s wounds have accumulated with slashes to the back, stab wounds to the limbs, blunt blows to the head, and he has even lost control of his left arm entirely. Looking back, he saw the last of the knights¡¯ fall. Galad was truly a sturdy guy, lasting to the end even protecting his magician friend who could no longer cast magic and had become a burden. After Galad¡¯s fall, the attacks to him stopped as well. It was now that the leader finally said something to him.
¡°I almost feel sorry for you and your foolish knights¡¡±
¡°Foolish!? Where is the foolishness in these brave knights?!¡±
¡°Is it not so? If you had simply abandoned these villages none of you would have to die here.¡±
¡°Abandon? Impossible! These people are also our countrymen and it is our duty to protect them!¡±
¡°If it is your duty to protect them, why is it that no guards from the capital guard these villages? As a prince you should know well that the capital cares little about here and these villages care little about the capital. They are self-sufficient and only call when convenient.¡±
¡°Is it not the same for the capital? Only taking their food and tax when convenient?¡±
¡°No, no. It is nothing like that and you know it. The capital only robs these people of what they have without providing any protection for them at all. The proof is in this situation, no?¡±
¡°Are we not here protecting it?¡±
¡°And you are doing a fine job at that.¡±
¡°¡¡±
¡°You being here is the best proof that this country cares not what happens to these people. Who would send a prince all the way out here just to kill mere beasts? There was never any order to send help to these people so you foolishly took matters into your own hands and failed miserably, even dragging in the bigger fools that blindly follow you.¡±
¡°Who said we have failed?¡±
¡°Oh? You can still act confident in such a state ready to collapse? Well, nothing about you convinces me so, though I guess we should finish up. I wasted too much time because I thought it would be interesting to talk to a half dead prince. Let¡¯s finish this and erase that village as well. Sadly you will remain foolish to the end.¡±
¡°Don¡¯t underestimate me!!!¡±
The prince shouted back readying his sword to the black knights attacking again. Suddenly, he heard a sweet voice in his head playfully saying, ¡®my turn¡¯. The scenery around the prince immediately changed and bewildered him as he now stood back in the village center. It was not just him either but all of his fallen comrades as well.
¡°This is?¡±
¡°Your Highness?!¡±
¡°What happened¡ where did Lady Histoire go?¡±
¡°Yes, she and her attendant disappeared and Your Highness showed up in their place.¡±
¡°¡ Transference magic?¡±
Saying so, the prince collapsed. He had a slightly relieved expression as he thought they might actually win. They were not foolish enough to come out against someone unbeatable, especially with her strong magic and powerful attendant. Slowly he lost consciousness while the village chief was panicking and running about.
¡
Chapter 5:
Well¡ yeah. I came out. Even though I came out, these guys are not surprised in the least. I even did such a grand entrance of appearing out of nothing and got no reaction. At least one of you could act surprised, please?! I won¡¯t get depressed from this, I won¡¯t! They must be the type that can control their emotions well. Yep, let¡¯s go with that! Still, for all to be like that must be due to an occupational hazard. I must remember to make a bigger impact next time. Maybe add some loud noises to it as well as some smoke perhaps?
Let¡¯s stop thinking of weird things. Now then! The reason a cowered like me has stepped onto the battlefield is simple. Not the obvious one being because I have Sebas but to gain experience! Though I can just have someone guard me all the time, rather, they would gladly do so! I think I should see how strong I am in this world. From my point of view, every last one back home is a legitimate monster but what about these guys? At least I think I can win, and even if I can¡¯t Sebas is here! Those are some really cold looks I¡¯m getting from these guys though. Did that idiot prince bare these gazes as if they were nothing? I can already feel my little bit of courage slipping away, but I won¡¯t back down as this is necessary!
¡°Who are you?¡±
Waaahhhh¡ such a threatening voice saying such simple words. Ah¡ my courage, it just left!! Sebas is here though and I can¡¯t act like a wimp in front of him even if he could erase my fears. For now let¡¯s answer.
¡°A pleasure to meet you. We are the graceful lady of the sky that wanders this vast world, please call us Histoire.¡±
Being as polite as possible, I curtsied while giving a pointless intro to my name. I don¡¯t have a long name to intimidate others like that prince and I feel he would laugh if I called myself a princess so I went with this. Well, how was that?
¡°Where is the prince?!¡±
Wh-why?! He is clearly madder than before? Le-let¡¯s try smiling this time then. Behold my angelic smile that calms raging storms!!
¡°We sent him, as well as his knights to the village to rest.¡±
¡°You little¡!¡±
WHY?! Was my angelic smile not good enough? Sera did it with such ease that I could not even go against her! Does that mean this face which I thought to be quite pretty was actually not that great? Such a shock... I won¡¯t get down, I won¡¯t! Maybe he is into men! That must be it, no way did my angelic smile not work! Just in case, I should practice a little in secret later.
¡°Please forgive us for dampening your mood but we have¡ sort of a connection with that village you see.¡±
¡°Did you come to beg for them to be spared?¡±
That would definitely be my number one thing to try but I have some circumstances you see. Not only because Sebas is watching but I doubt after all that effort, he would simply let the prince go and not erase the village as witnesses. Then, let¡¯s go with plan G!
¡°Not at all¡ we came to kindly warn you that attacking that village would bring you and your comrades great misfortune. Would you be so kind as to retreat?¡±
How¡¯s that? I even gave a hint about the stone golems in the village. Look how kind I am¡ hmm, why?! Why does it look like the veins on his head will burst?! Where did my plans go wrong? Is it really the smile? Is this because those guys back home praise me for every little thing that I had this false sense of confidence?
¡°Kill them¡¡±
Such cruel words! Even though I was so kind to you, this is how you repay me?! Hmm¡ wait! Did I not originally intend to fight them? Ah¡ that thought must have left with Mr. Courage. I will miss you my brief friend! Time to stop escaping reality, those things are attacking¡ or so I thought. All the beasts and magical beasts are cowering. I would like to say my smile worked on them but that would be quite depressing.
¡°What¡¯s wrong? Did you not hear me?¡±
¡°They aren¡¯t listening to commands anymore Captain!¡±
¡°¡¡±
Is it perhaps that? Instincts they call it? They naturally fear things more powerful or something like that? I know very well that I have not one bit of intimidation in me so it must be Sebas. Now that I think about it, he is sort of a beast as well. They must fear him quite a lot to not even run but become completely submissive. There is a problem with this though! If Sebas became intimidating, it must be because of that right, saying ¡®kill them¡¯. Fear of these guys in front just went below zero and far into the negatives! I am far more terrified of Sebas now that I can¡¯t even act on my small curiosity to see his face in intimidation mode.
¡°Tsk¡ fine, I¡¯ll do it!¡±
Saying so, he sent the 4 black knights at me. I guess it has little effect on humans but that still was not enough to make me turn around. The 4 black knights charging us raising their swords to swing down somehow found themselves impaled into the ground. It was not Sebas who did this but me. I¡¯m awesome right!!!? Now where did these polearm weapons come from? Of course back home! I thought of this due to being able to warp space and connect it to that floating castle. Simply put, I took weapons from the treasury, warped space to connect them to here, then launched them at high speeds with magic. Naturally this idea was the reason why this weak me managed to be friends with Mr. Courage, albeit short. I hope we meet again my dear friend!
¡°Wha¡¡±Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.
¡°We will only ask once more¡ will you retreat? If not, it will be as we said and you will only find misfortune ahead.¡±
Everyone is thinking it right? Am I not displaying courage now? I would love to say that we had a touching reunion but this is just my desperation to act like a proper leader in front of Sebas. Trust me, I would know when my first friend in this world returned from his journey and we will definitely have an emotional embrace.
¡°Everyone! Attack with golems, black knights and arrows!¡±
Huh¡ I thought only Mr. Captain could use the black knights. Now there are 8 more and about 30 golems. No need to panic though. If I can stop the black knights, the others should be easy as they are just numbers. For the arrows, I can just use a vector reversal barrier. Result, complete annihilation and destruction! Maybe because I am immature to fighting with magic but I did not hold back at all. This is most certainly not because I panicked as I remained completely composed! This destruction after may incite a little panic in me but I stayed completely calm! On the surface at least¡
The weapons from the treasury had hit the ground with such force that multiple craters were formed after the dust storm cleared. The golems were not impaled but obliterated on contact. The black knights were not impaled either like the ones before, rather, the weapons were so fast that they went through them with ease. Because of this, the knights did not stop and I pan¡ attacked more, shredding them into scrap metal. As for the arrows, the vector shield sent them all back to their owners. It might be weird for me to say as I am the cause but seeing the back of an arrow stabbed into someone¡¯s hand is weird. As for the summoners, they attacked with magic and received the same fate. I kept calm even when that happened so I didn¡¯t destroy them. I won¡¯t admit that I was too focused on the knights and did not consider them attacking with magic just because Mr. Captain did not order it! The reason why I may have panicked at the end may be because the landscape completely changed and everyone but Mr. Captain was down, even though I never attacked them.
¡°EVERYONE, BUY ME SOME TIME!!!¡±
He screamed that at the top of his lungs. In response, his men ignored the pain and readied to attack me again. Maybe because of what happened earlier they were hesitant to fire at me and only took aim. I can completely relate to that fear. Maybe I am rejoicing deep down as someone else is under the same fears as me? I won¡¯t admit it though. Wait, does this not mean they are scared of me!? I don¡¯t want that! Ah¡ this has become depressing. Don¡¯t worry, I won¡¯t attack you. Oh! I almost forgot about Mr. Captain doing something. Multiple magic circulations have formed layered over each other. It seems he is summoning something new. I should stop him but I am curious what else he has. Though I would like to say that Mr. Courage is here, this may just be Ms. Curious? Second friend WHOOO!!!
I almost regret not stopping him. The reason was simple really. This guy just summoned a damn dragon! He clearly held back against that prince! The only reason I stayed so calm is, compared to Sebas in dragon form whose shadow alone can cover an entire city, this thing almost seemed cute. Bright red scales and a massive wing span with a total of 6 powerful limbs. Maybe something is fundamentally wrong with me as I thought Sebas to be quite beautiful as well. I should stop thinking this way as that guy is hostile to me after all.
¡°SCARLET!!! Burn them too cinders!¡±
Scarlet? Is it perhaps a girl? No, no, first to defend against the fire¡ or so I thought to but the dragon did not breathe any fire and instead bowed its head. At first I thought Sebas did his scary face again but it bowed. Maybe it knew that Sebas was its kin and far stronger? Well, for now it just stayed like that, bowing with its eyes closed.
¡°Scarlet?! What are you doing!? I said burn them!!! Listen to what I say you stupid dragon!?¡±
Regardless of Mr. Captain¡¯s screaming, Scarlet moved not. Since Sebas who indirectly caused this said nothing, I thought I should do it.
¡°Scarlet, was it? It is a pleasure to meet you. We are called Histoire and this is Sebastian. Could we trouble you to restrain your master for us?¡±
Dragons really are smart! She had opened her eyes at my words and probably looking to Sebas for confirmation, immediately crushed Mr. Captain under her hand. Hopefully he is still alive.
¡°WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU¡¯RE DOING!!!? RELEASE ME AT ONCE YOU STUPID DRAGON!!!¡±
It seems he is still alive, and as lively as ever too!
¡°Mr. Captain, we never got your name but calling a dragon as smart as this one stupid makes you yourself look quite so instead.¡±
¡°Wha¡¡±
¡°Think about what happened at the start. Every beast here refused to attack us. Did you never once consider the reason as to why this is?¡±
He could only remain silent with his mouth agape. Maybe he already found the answer? I will continue regardless though since stopping the explanation would be quite embarrassing.
¡°That is exactly right Mr. Captain. From the very beginning, they knew instinctively that they could not win. You were even told that you would meet misfortune yet still ignored such warnings and doomed not only yourself but also your comrades to misfortune. Really now, we question who is really foolish between you, that prince and Scarlet? Though we think that prince is indeed a fool, he will survive without misfortune making you the most foolish.¡±
Wahh¡ their emotions can¡¯t be hidden now. Such a variety of faces. Maybe understanding their trump card turned on them threw them into despair?
¡°Ah¡ we forgot to mention earlier that we are actually surrounded. Please forgive us for not saying so earlier that you have no escape should you attack. We are not sure that would have swayed your choice, however due forgive this one.¡±
Flashing my angelic smile should have calmed them down but the despair in them seems to have multiplied instead. I really need to practice smiling. My goal would be one like Sera¡¯s but this has shown me that it would be completely impossible for me. About the people surrounding us? I truly did forget about it with being glared at and Sebas getting hostile, not to mention that fight. I didn¡¯t do it to be mean but truly forgot! Earlier, I had 4 battle maids surround the area before the prince even fought. While they were collapsing one by one, next to me Sebas leaned in closer to my ear.
¡°What would you like to do with them princess?¡±
¡°Take them all back and get as much information about this world as you can. We believe some eat humans correct? They have probably not eaten since we had fallen so they can have them if they want after learning what is needed. As for the beasts, if anyone wants them they can have them but if not, you may release them.¡±
¡°Understood.¡±
I know what I said sounds cruel but I technically lack the so called ¡®humanity¡¯ so it bothers me little. As something also created by that weird god, I may be just as cruel as they are towards others not like us. I mean, I did watch the prince and his men get beaten terribly. Now that I think about it, I did not heal him. Hopefully they are still alive.

Chapter 6:
It was already dark when I finished up and returned to the village. The villagers had patched up the knights it seems. That idiot prince was still out cold so I told Galad what happened, obviously I lied! I said that I scared them off with the illusion of a gigantic rampaging dragon. Thanks to the village chief asking if it was the same as before, they believed me. If they investigate the area they will quickly know that I lied though. Galad insisted on thanking me but I could care less about it. They would leave after the prince woke up and told me if I ever visited the capital, the prince would most likely welcome me. I could care less about that as well but it may be useful to know a prince of this country.
After teleporting back to the floating castle with Sebas, Sera greeted me immediately. How did she know where we would appear? I explained everything that happened to Sera who worried about me. The stone golems were left in the village just in case something happened. After the explanation, Sera basically forced me into the bath with the excuse, ¡®we must cleanse the filth of the lower world¡¯. Again, Sera tried to do that shame play despite my rejections. ¡®Taking care of my master¡¯s every physical and spiritual need is my duty¡¯ she would say and I eventually gave up. I found out my worry of them not eating was unneeded though as I had a luxurious dinner after the bath. It should have been obvious that this place is self-sufficient though. Luminous however, had wanted to play a bit with one of the captives and was very thankful for the gift. It seems one of the tamers had been a female that matched her tastes. After a meal, I went to bed and would have complained about being dressed in nightwear with such a frightening degree of exposure but it was far too comfortable to complain, at least a lot more so than a long dress.
The next morning, I woke up to quite possibly the most unreasonable thing yet! Lying next to me in bed was none other than the beautiful Sera! I know that is not that bizarre but let me finish. I was clinging to this Sera who had snuck into my bed as if it were the most natural thing in the world! I know that is not that weird either from everything that has happened with her so far but let me finish! This Seraphim was completely nude in bed with me! I know I have seen her naked before and it should be becoming a normal thing by now but let me finish!! This Seraphim that had snuck into my bed stark naked had something that should not be there on her. This Seraphim was actually a hermaphrodite!!! There exposed, just as if saying ¡®good morning¡¯ to me dangled in plain view above me when Sera got on her hands and knees on top of me. There was no place to run as Sera¡¯s limbs were on either side of me, locking me in place and preventing any escape. Staring at me with an extremely lewd and predatory expression, she licked her lips in an overly bewitching manner as she brought her face closer to my own.
How did I get away? Teleport of course! Learning I had no memories did not make me panic as much as I did today. So much so that I teleported to the lowest floor in just my revealing night gown. When I returned, she appeared as the same Sera from before in her white dress as if nothing happened. I really wanted to play along as well but I could not so I asked her about it. Again, she said that she was made to fulfill every physical and spiritual need I had. It took me only 3 seconds to understand the deeper meaning but I am nowhere near prepared for that! When I told her, she apologized and said that it has been so long that she lost control. However, a new question came to me. How did I not notice that vile appendage in the baths?! Apparently she can hide it in her body as she pleases but it came out to ¡®play¡¯ while she slept with me.
¡°Then, if you don¡¯t release your¡ ¡®tension¡¯, will you attack me?¡±
¡°Please rest easy as it is impossible for me to attack My Lord. Though I will admit that I may try temptation occasionally.¡±
¡°I-Is that so¡¡±
Does this mean that I have done such things in the past? I won¡¯t just accept it though! That smile is dangerous after all. I was thinking Sebas who¡¯s the equivalent of a dragon god would be the most dangerous one here but it is definitely Sera. Don¡¯t think just because you are unreasonably beautiful that I will let you do as you please with my body!
Putting the thing about Sera¡¯s rape attempt aside, I plan to head to the capital today by myself. Of course everyone opposed me but yesterday I proved that I can protect myself against humans at least. I thought it would be sufficient with this but Sera refused to let me go alone and even said she would follow even if I killed her later as punishment. Well I am indeed reluctant, especially after this morning but Sera fused her body with mine so that no one could see her. Apparently we did this often when I went out but as Sebas came with me before, she stayed behind. Though the trust in each other they showed was interesting, I am more interested in this fusion with her and allowed it. Naturally the first thing I did while fused was of course, sprout wings and jump off of the floating castle! Childish, I know, but I regret nothing!
Flying myself was indeed fun but I think it is also due to me not wearing a long dress today. Today I wore a short one piece dress that stopped at my thighs with the back opened straight down for the wings similar to Sera¡¯s clothing. Quite revealing if not for my long hair if I due say so myself. I did plan to come out by myself so I also wore light armor. A breast plate that covered the front with plates that dangled on the side of my waist, female plate thigh high leggings, slim female plate gauntlets, plate stiletto shoes and a head piece with feathers completely protected my body. I stress the female part as I am still practicing to be as womanly as Sera¡ ignoring the thing from before of course.
Stopping by the village to see how they were doing first, I found out they planned to send people to the city for supplies to repair their village. Joseph volunteered to be one of the members to go on behalf of the village. Turns out, Joseph is what the people called ¡®adventurer¡¯. Yesterday I learned that he was called this but in truth, he is simply a young mercenary. The term usually refers to anyone that belongs to either the mercenary guild, hunters¡¯ guild or the magicians¡¯ guild as they tend to travel around a lot.
Due to my malevolent heart, I decided to sponsor the village to help with repairs. Though I may know the value of my money in this world, that does not really mean that I know the prices in this world as well. The village chief desperately tried to keep his composure and act humble as I just casually forced a large wallet onto him but his body betrayed him in the end. It seemed funny to leave him in that pool of guilt but I asked to travel with them instead as compensation. He clearly felt that was not enough and wanted to do more which started to become annoying so I put on a wry smile as I said, ¡®we just want to help the children therefore we need no compensation¡¯. For some reason he dropped to his knees calling me a saint after that. Not only is that money not mine, my thoughts at the time were along the lines of wanting to kick him in the shins to shut up.
Though I can just fly to the capital, I would stand out doing it so I took this method instead. I have a slight interest in the guilds as well. Josephand 12 others got on a carriage pulled by 2 large fowls. The bird feathers were ruffled and clearly not groomed well but it¡¯s amazing they survived the attack. The other 12 were villagers and an old mercenary as well who were entrusted to retrieve supplies for rebuilding homes and such. I got on the carriage as well but the ride was so dreadfully uncomfortable that I wanted to just fly instead. Somehow I held it in though¡
[Such a terrible carriage¡ would it not have been better to fly?]
Sera inside my chest asked. Though I completely agree with her, I wish she would not act hostile inside me.This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.
[It would indeed be far better to fly. I chose this method as to not draw attention to myself.]
[I see¡ I apologize for not seeing your great insight.]
No, no. It is nothing grand like that. This is just plain shyness. Since the journey is long, I think this would be a good time to ask some things that have been on my mind.
[Sera, is it possible that the floating castle actual woke me up?]
[That is indeed a possibility. May I ask what led master to this?]
[Just¡ if I were to be truly empty, I doubt I would be able to think or move at all. Before you or Sebas came, I could think and move as if natural to me. The floating castle is also a part of me so I thought it might have done so. Am I wrong in thinking this?]
[No¡ you are absolutely right.]
[I see¡ then how long have you known this?]
[I suspected it after we confirmed master¡¯s continued dominance over the castle and our subsequent release.]
[Then, why did you hide it?]
[¡ Apologies master, I did it out of selfish reasons. This one wished for master to continue assuming we were of aid to your revival but it was unnecessary. Please punish me as you wish.]
[Why should I punish you? You answered my questions honestly. Even if you hid it from me, not knowing caused me neither harm nor gain. Perhaps I should just count this as one of your temptations in order to gain my affection?]
[For your abundant mercy, I graciously thank you.]
Mercy? If I were to punish her, it would definitely be for what she showed me this morning. Ah¡ maybe I should ask about what happened then as well.
[Did we perhaps¡ sleep together often? When I woke up huddled next to you as if it were a natural act, it greatly confused me.]
[Yes, master would often invite this one to share a bed as you enjoyed the warmth of my feathers and the touch of my flesh.]
[I-I see¡]
I knew it! This may turn into a problem if I don¡¯t get accustomed to her. Clearly I spent the most time with her and Sebas but she is dangerous. Is this what they call the last boss? If so, you are far too early!
[One more thing, I created this body correct? I have yet to feel the urge to relieve myself, do I perhaps not excrete?]
[Excretion is something needed only for inefficient bodies. Master¡¯s body can convert any and everything to pure energy wasting nothing.]
[Is that so¡ suppose this means I need not worry about accidentally being poisoned then.]
[That is indeed so¡ however, if someone were truly foolish enough to attempt such an act, naturally they would be given a fate far worse than death.]
[I-Is that right¡]
Really don¡¯t want to think about such a fate. Let¡¯s pray no one attempts such a thing in the future. Who do I even pray to? Let¡¯s have Joseph pray for them instead. Hmm¡?
[If I do not need to practice any form of excretion, then what are they used for?]
[Ufufufu¡ in due time master will find out.]
I immediately regret asking. Just what the hell was I thinking making this dangerous woman! My previous self was indeed an odd ball goddess that even I wish to hit at least once!
¡°Is something wrong?¡±
¡°Huh?! No, we¡¯re perfectly fine Jojo!¡±
Ugh¡ maybe seeing me randomly get flustered, Joseph asked in concern. He was apparently born in that village but left when his parents died it seems. He could have taken over the farmlands they left but he wanted adventure so he said. He does not seem to fit the fighting role though.
¡°Don¡¯t call me that girly name!... Are you really ok?¡±
¡°Yeah¡ rather, Jojo should quickly marry Enri.¡±
¡°HUH?!?!¡±
Ah¡ seeing someone else flustered puts me at ease. Teasing Jojo is definitely fun and relieves stress. Maybe I should take him home as a stress relief toy? Why that name you ask? Would you be mad if I said just because it¡¯s cute?
¡°Wh-Wh-What are you talking about?!?! There¡¯s no way Enri likes me!¡±
¡°Jojo is pretty stupid as well huh?¡±
¡°Wha¡ first you give me a girly nickname then you insult me¡¡±
¡°Kakah¡ a pouting Jojo is quite cute as well.¡±
¡°Don¡¯t call a man cute!!!¡±
¡°Ohh¡ it seems they agree as well though.¡±
Saying so, I point to the others in the carriage. They were sending that lukewarm gaze of sympathy at Jojo. It seems they agree with me but Jojo is too stupid to see it.
¡°Hmph¡ a man can find his on happiness!¡±
¡°A man can also miss his own happiness.¡±
To the stubborn Jojo I replied as such. That is true for everyone and not just men but he seemed to be focusing on that point. I can¡¯t see him as a man even if he is a little taller than me though. After chatting in the carriage and continually teasing Jojo to the point of depression, we made it to the capital long after midday¡ or so I thought. We actually went to the nearest city. I thought we were going to the capital but it is far away and would take a few days to get here with these terrible carriages. Simply put, I sat in this uncomfortable carriage for no reason! When I realized my blunder, my mood had sank straight down. Even my newly appointed stress relief toy could not help.
