On a filthy and narrow alley, a man was sitting on the cold and moist ground, around him dozens of cans and papers were spread all over the ground, as if the man had hit a garbage can scattering all the trash inside it on the moist ground. The man had a fairly short dark hair, light brown eyes and a 1.8 meter height. He wore a torn black leather jacket and jeans. On his body dozens of bullets holes and cuts could be seen as the blood slowly flowed down from his injuries and rhythmically dripped on the floor, forming a small pool of blood. However the man didn¡¯t seem to be in pain or in any kind of physical struggle. The man lifted his hands and with difficulty grabbed a cheap pack of cigarettes in his jackets¡¯ pocket and arduously swayed it, taking out a cigarette and putting betweens his lips. Afterwards he tried to take out a lighter in his pockets¡¯ pants, but he discovered that he couldn¡¯t feel his finger anymore, shortly after; he lost the feelings of both arms and finally the legs. A sarcastic smile formed on his cracked lips, causing the cigarette to fall on the small pool of blood. The man lazily closed his eyes; the sarcastic smile was lingering on his lips as if mocking Fate, God or any other Supreme Being ruling the universe. ----------x-------- Alcacia World, Sim Continent ¨C Human Kingdom The Human Kingdom, located in the far north where the sun hides itself behind the gray clouds and only appears twice a year, making it an extremely rash and cold environment place where just the strong survives. The Humans massacred trillions of lives and exterminated numerous important bloodlines, causing severe losses to the united races, but in the end they were forced back to their birth place, their original homelands¡­The merciless and cold Northlands. After the Humans retreated to their homeland, the other races attacked several times but they were defeated every time, after suffering severe losses the other races slowly receded back to their lands, but a rule was created amongst the ally races¡­.Any human that exited the Northlands, will be killed or captured and sold as slaves. Sometimes small raiding groups succeeded on crossing the mountains and raided small humans¡¯ settlements¡­Killing, raping and capturing men and women to be sold as slaves. ---------x--------- ¡°The Frozen capital¡± The capital city of the Human Kingdom stretched through thousands of kilometers and it was settled on one of the few flat lands on the Kingdom. ¡°The Sky Mountain Range¡± surrounded the capital, turning it into an invulnerable Ice Fortress. If someone wanted to attack the capital they could only do it after passing through the Divine gate, and if they tried to climb up ¡°The Sky Mountain Range¡± their only fate was death. The bitter cold and the lurking dangers inhabiting inside the Mountain Range were countless; Very few people could traverse safely these mountains. The Frozen capital was divided into three sections: The Outer Zone, The Inner Zone and the Head Zone. The awakening ceremony, this ceremony is held to determine the aptitude of someone to the elements. Humans are the only race that can use every type of elements, but talent is needed. It¡¯s extremely few the people who can master all attributes to a basic level; most people focused solely in one element and leveled it as far as their talent allow. There are seven main elements: Water, Fire, Wind, Earth, Light, Thunder and Darkness; some scholars say that exist a eight element named Void but no record of it was found. Humans can choose between the Warrior Path and the Magus Path. Warrior Path: This path is based on absorbing Battle Qi. The basic Qi could be gathered from the ¡®Qi Form Stance¡¯. The ¡®Qi Form Stance¡¯ was the most simple, yet most effective way of exercising one¡¯s body. The battle Qi is stored in a fist-sized location beneath the navel. The warriors rely on absorbing the elements as part of their training and then transforming it in Battle Qi (Water Battle Qi, Fire Battle Qi, Darkness Battle Qi, etc¡­). The warrior path is divided in ranks: (each rank is divided in early, middle and peak) -1st Rank Warrior: as a 1st Rank Warrior you can pick up 50 KG with one hand easily -2nd Rank Warrior: as a 2st Rank Warrior you can toss 50 KG with one hand easily -3rd Rank Warrior -4th Rank Warrior -5th Rank Warrior -6th Rank Warrior -7th Rank Warrior -8th Rank Warrior -9th Rank Warrior Each rank is based on the accumulation of Battle Qi. The power, ability, technique of a warrior could advance through understanding the Elements. Magus Path: The Magus Path is only available for those who have natural talent, if one talent is low, their accomplishment will be low as well. This path is based on Mental energy and Control. The magus path is a little different from the Warrior path, in this path you control the elements outside of the body, and the need to absorb Magus Qi inside the body is almost null, but of course every Magus needs to have a little of Qi inside their body, or they might die. To attack the Magus uses ¡®Magical Incantations¡¯, the Magical incantations are used by those who don¡¯t have an understanding of the elements, it¡¯s like a set of words programmed to stir up the elements, so even if a person doesn¡¯t have an understanding they can manipulate the elements. If a person does have understanding then the attack created will be twice as powerful as using ¡®Magical Incantations¡¯ and there is no need for incantations. The Magus path is divided in: (each rank is divided in early, middle and peak) -1st Rank and 2nd Rank called Junior Magus -3rd Rank and 4th Rank called Senior Magus -5h Rank and 6th Rank called Master Magus -7th Rank, 8th Rank and 9th Rank called Arch-Magus (The status of a magus is a full rank higher than that of an equivalent warrior. Straightening his back and puffing his chest up, Ares entered the Throne room. When door opened, a hot air wave brushed against his face, warming his entire body. Ares stood still for some seconds enjoying the warm feeling and finally stepped inside the room. *Tap, Tap* Entering the room, Ares could only hear his and Williams¡¯ steps. The throne room was quite large; there were numerous marble pillars to the side of the room that seemed to be supporting the ceiling and flags of different formats and colors were illustrated on these pillars. The ceiling appeared to be made of a transparent material and you could see perfectly everything outside. Facing the door and in the end of the room, a magnificent golden throne stood. A muscular man wearing long black robe and a long red mantle made of exquisite animals fur sat on the throne. This man had lumberjack combed like black hair, deep green eyes and milk-white skin. The man¡¯s¡¯ eyes were closed but when Ares and William entered the room his eyes suddenly opened. He looked at Ares and Williams¡¯ direction and a gentle smile showed on his lips. This man was Ares father¡­.King Ezequiel ¡°Greetings father¡± (Ares) Ares said with a strange smile on his face while looking at the man who stood in front of him ¡°You made me wait for so long that I took a nap¡­¡± (King Ezequiel) *Snap¡­Snap* The King said as he stretched his arms up and snapping sounds could be heard from his joints. ¡°So are you ready?¡± (King Ezequiel) The King asked as he lazily stood up from the throne and descended the marble throne¡¯s stairs, heading towards Ares and William. The king searched through his clothes and fished out a strange key in form of flame, and then he pressed this key on the wall¡¯s flame illustration. All of sudden the room started to shake and the wall lit up in a white color, seeing this color the King immediately bit his finger and dropped a small drop of blood on the wall. *Shhhh* A boiling sound sounded as the room stopped to shake, and the wall magically opened itself, showing a narrow and old stairway that goes downward The King took a step forward and began to descend the stairs, Ares and William followed closely behind. After descending a few steps light ceased to exist and the darkness ruled Seeing this the King snapped his fingers and a small flame ball appeared over his head illuminating the way. After an hour passed they finally arrived at the end of the stairway. In front of them there was a boiling black pond, this pond emanated an overwhelming aura that might easily kill someone. ¡°So where are we? What is that?¡± (Ares) Said Ares while looking around and pointing at the Black pond ¡°We are in our Ancestral Ceremonial Lands, and that is the Endless Black Pond, we are going to use that for your ceremony¡± (King Ezequiel) ¡°Why? The ceremony was supposed to be held in the Elements Room, right?¡±(Ares) Hearing this, the king madly laughed. ¡°Ares¡­our Imperial bloodline is quite different from others, so we can¡¯t do that in the normal way right? If I have to say our bloodline is the stronger bloodline of this World¡­ but unfortunately most of our ancestrals died in the Purge War, causing our bloodline, and race to weaken¡­Have you ever heard of the void element?¡± (King Ezequiel) ¡°Of course¡­It¡¯s the strongest element of them all, but this element is just a myth.¡± (Ares) ¡°A myth? You can enter the Endless Black Pond, just a tip, this liquid is quite advantageous to your body, so I advise you to absorb as much as you can¡± (King Ezequiel) Hearing this Ares took a step forward and with decisive steps walked towards the boiling black Liquid. Chapter 4 Chapter 4 The closer Ares got to the Black pond more pressure he faced, the pressure was so strong that cracking sounds could be heard from his bones. Every step he took seemed to take an eternity, but his steps never quivered, he withstood the pain and continued walking forward. After some time Ares stood next to the rocky border of the pond, with small and delicate steps he entered the Black water. As his toes entered in contact with the boiling water, he felt pain; the pain assaulted every part of his body, as if hot needles perforating his flesh, bones and muscles Feeling pain Ares didn¡¯t make a sound, he just continued walking forward as the water got deeper and deeper. After reaching the middle of the pond the water reached up to his chest *Hufff SHHHH* Ares calmly inhaled and exhaled. After a series of deep breaths, Ares got in position; he separated his feet from each other and pulled his fists to his waist in a horse like stance. This position was also known as ¡®Qi Form Stance¡¯, the most simple yet most effective way of exercising the body and absorbing Qi Ares could feel that the elements inside the pond were five times purer than the outside world; the elements seemed to have fused with the black water. Knowing this Ares put more effort in absorbing and melting the elements inside his body. For hours Ares stood still, soaking in the Black Water. He could feel his body slowly getting stronger, and a small shining ball began condense inside his brain, this small ball was where the Magus Qi is stored. He could feel a throbbing and painful sensation as his blood started to get a light black coloration After this process Ares could feel that a change occurred to his Dantian and body, but he couldn¡¯t pin point what changed ¡°Let me test¡± (Ares) Saying this Ares arched his back and drew his fist next to his chest, after some seconds concentrating he launched a punch on the air. Somewhere in the far north a youth and a white-haired old man were climbing a high snowy mountain with precise and slow movement. The youth wore a black hide coat and held twin broadswords and a long bow on his back, while the old man has giant sword kept on his back. These two people logically were Ares and William ¡°Damn¡­that old man has gone nuts, who in their sane mind would send their son in a Subjugation task?¡± (Ares) Ares said while gasping for air. Even if he was a 3rd Rank Warrior he didn¡¯t have limitless stamina ¡°Why are you complaining so much? You should have seen when your father and I took our first subjugation task. We had to kill five Yetis who killed thousands of Humans in the peripheral zones of the Kingdom. It was a tough battle one hundred soldiers died before we managed to take down those Yetis. I think that it was then, seeing all those torn apart corpses that your father decided to become stronger...and he succeeded, today he is the strongest Human existing¡± (William) William narrated while remembering his old days with a proud expression showing on his face. ¡°Why can¡¯t we leave these lands? After some minutes loud noises spread through the air as the gate slowly opened itself. ¡°Major Samuel greets the Crown Prince and General William¡± (Samuel) A muscular black haired man wearing a white hide coat exited from the gate and deeply bowed towards William and Ares Ares analyzed the man and nodded.
