《The Contorted Gift》


 Prologue- The old man who found out a new happiness

    Hi, I¡¯m Anthony Lee from Taiwan. I had good academic grades when I was in elementary and high school. But because my family is quite poor, I didn¡¯t go to college. Instead, I helped my mother in her little restaurant as a cook. I don¡¯t have siblings nor father. Well, I still don¡¯t know who was my father. My mother didn¡¯t tell me, when I was asking her she¡¯s just always changed the topic.


    The time went so fast. My mother left me when I was 45 years old. Since then, I managed our restaurant. I¡¯m not boasting or anything like that but we do have over 20 branches nationwide. After my mother died, I focused on what she left, her legacy that was our restaurant. Little by little I managed somehow to make some huge profit in our restaurant. Now I¡¯m rich, money is not a problem anymore but still I¡¯m lonely. Because I focused too much on my business, I didn¡¯t get a wife or child. My last girlfriend was when I¡¯m in high school. Yes, I didn¡¯t notice the time.


    Now, I¡¯m here in the hospital. The doctor diagnosed that I have a brain tumor. I¡¯m 73 years old now and the doctor said that because of my old age the success percentage is significantly lower.Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.


    I¡¯m here in the hospital for more or less than two weeks. They did a lot of test on my body and gave me some kind of vitamins or something like that to increase the success rate of my operation next week just a bit. When the doctor told me that I have a brain tumor, I quickly called my lawyer to donate my money to some orphan organization. Also, I gave out my money on some of my best employees, the one who contributed the success of my business.


    These past few weeks here in the hospital was quite boring. When I turned on the television in my private room, the channel accidentally went on some Anime. Ever since then, I ordered my assistant Chia-wei to bring me some of the anime, such as One Piece. Coincidentally, looks like my assistant was quite knowledgeable in anime or I think he¡¯s quite fanatic of anime.


    Aside from One piece, he also recommended me to watch Naruto, Bleach, Hajime No Ippo, Hunter X Hunter and much more. Somehow this anime inspired me and believe it or not I finished the most of them, well some of it are still ongoing. I think most of them are still ongoing. I would like to read the Manga but I¡¯m quite lazy and my hand is not responsive like it used to be.


    Watching anime was quite fun. I don¡¯t really confidence in my operation but after watching those animes. I need to live to watch them. I think this is what they called the will to survive.


    I¡¯m now on my way to the Operation room. Wish me luck. I still need to watch those animes, I need to survive in this.

 Chapter 1-The Accidental Findings

    After the nurse injected me, somehow I fallen asleep. But now, I¡¯m conscious somehow I could feel my body somewhat different. Looks like the operation was successful. Thanks to you Doctor Wei-ting I can still watch my favorite animes.


    Slowly, I lifted up my eyes but all I could see was black and white color. The world seems somewhat lost its color and I think this was not the operation room nor my private room. My eyes could see the two big unfamiliar human smiling at me. I felt tired so much tired than before.


    I don¡¯t know how much time had passed but I could a glimpse of colors, I¡¯m not color blind anymore. The house resemble a house barn. The house was made of woods and I couldn''t understand what the big humans was saying to me.


    When they lifted me up, I knew that I became a baby. I don¡¯t know what happened or this was just dream?


    Looks like I¡¯ve been reborn. Still I refused to believed it maybe this was just a dream.

    Two years had passed since I reborn into this world of Arganos. I¡¯m still trying to act as a child in front of the two big humans or should I say my parents. I could understand them but still couldn¡¯t talk to them, my tongue couldn¡¯t processed it.


    I¡¯m happy that I¡¯m still a man. My mother now has a small belly. And looks like I will have a baby brother soon or maybe a sister. I wish the latter.


    My father job was similar to a business man. He¡¯s buying swords, potions and other strange things then selling it to a higher price in his store.


    My family was part of a lower nobility. My parents background was poor but because of my father business minded. The kingdom granted him a lower nobility which was the highest they can give to a merchant that came from a poor background.


    ¡°Lee! Don¡¯t go outside, there¡¯s a monster there that eating the children.. Roar!¡± My mother Lisa said while acting a beautiful monster. She¡¯s still preventing me to go outside. She has a long and wavy silver hair. A blue eyes that framed with a long silver eyelashes, a porcelain smooth skin. She¡¯s a beauty, I thought at first that her silver hair and eyelashes was only an artificial color but looks like it¡¯s not.


    The people here were quite weird. There was a time that my father had a visitor and I saw that they too have different color of hair and eyes. Some even have a long tusk between their mouth.Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.


    Everyday, my mother tenaciously taught me on how to read and write. I could read and write now somehow but still my mouth could only say gibberish things.


    There was a time that I secretly went to my father¡¯s books area or little library to be exact. That¡¯s how I knew what the world I¡¯m living now, the world of Arganos where strange things exist. This world consist of many different species of humans or sub-humans. They called elves, dwarfs, demi-beasts,divine and other that still unknown. The world of Arganosis yet to be fully explored.


    One time, I saw my mother was quite Angry to my father. I don¡¯t know what the reason because that time I still couldn''t understand what they¡¯re saying A sparks of lighting surrounds her while my father kneel and somewhat begging for forgiveness. And when I read the book that confirms it, the magic exist here. And they have what they called Law of Magic.


    After their fight, my father rarely went home. I think once or twice a week.


    I read a book that entitled as Basic Magic. I tried what the book what said but the magic seems more complicated than I thought. Or maybe, I¡¯m one of those magicless. The book said that thirty out of hundred could only wield magic. The chance of being magicless is higher, my father looks like also a magicless. Sometimes I wonder, how did my mother accepted my father. I think she¡¯s too good for my father. I¡¯m not exaggerating or anything but I think even the kings want to marry my mother. If she¡¯s not my mother, I want to marry her too.


    Little by little, I accepted my current life. I recently know that children who¡¯s not 5 years old and above should not come out to their houses or else they will get an incurable sick. Or maybe this was just a nonsense superstition.


    Damn, I miss watching animes. I don¡¯t know if my acting skills was just too good but my parents seems to see me as a normal child. I think that was thanks to my gibberish mouth.

    After a year, somehow the gods granted my wish. My sister was born. And she looks like a splitting image of my mother. Her appearance will be a headache, that¡¯s for sure.


    My mother was quite busy because even we¡¯re nobility, we don¡¯t have a maid.

    A man suddenly open our small door, ¡°Lee, how was your mother and sister?¡± My father said. He has a short curly brown hair, a strong jawline, and a belly of a drinker.


    ¡°Mother is fine, and sister too. She said that you should not come near her or she might kill you.¡± I said to my father while he¡¯s forcing himself to smile.


    ¡°Oh, she¡¯s still angry, here give it to your mother.¡± He said and handed out a small brown bag that full of gold coins.


    ¡°And also, tell to your mother that I will give all of what you deserve.. soon,¡± He whispered. He patted my head and kissed my forehead before he left our house.

    I had a solo room in the second floor of our house. My mother always told me that I should sleep early. But I couldn¡¯t. Yes, the kids body are so much active. I found out that sleeping isn¡¯t that easy like it used to be.


    I remembered the things on earth, the food, the country of taiwan, and my recently favorite before I died, the animes.


    While lying on my bed, I imagined that I¡¯m eating french fries which was one of my favorite snacks.


    Somehow, when I tried to bite the imaginary french fries. I felt that my imagination seems too real, the same taste, And the same smell. I munching a french fries in mouth.


    When I lifted my eyes. I¡¯m holding a french fries that similar to what I imagined on earth. I blinked my eyes a few times in disbelief. But the fries was still there.


    Did some gods favored again my wish?


    I tried to wish again a french fries to some god but none of it appear again. But the last fries that I wished was still there.

 Chapter 2-

    Since the day that I summoned the fries from earth. I tried to pray to it countless times to reappear again. But failed to do so.


    ¡­


    Accidentally, when I was imagining things in my room. A chocolate bar suddenly pop out, out of nowhere.


    Yes, I have a power. The power to transfer or summon things from the earth. I¡¯m still refusing it to believe but maybe this world isn¡¯t real to begin with. My power could rival gods, I could summon things that shouldn¡¯t exist in the first place.

    Alright I think, I exaggerated things when I said that my power could rival gods. After some experimentation, I found out that my imagination or summoning power was limited. I tried to summon my dog but didn¡¯t appear. And of course, I tried to summon a human. A hot Hollywood celebrity actually but I also failed to do so.


    After some thinking and twinking things. I concluded that I can¡¯t summon living beings from earth. I tried to summon a car but also didn¡¯t appear. My findings were I could only summon things that I have knowledge on it.


    ¡°Hey Lee come down here, play to your sister a bit, I¡¯m going to cook.¡± My mother shouted from the stairs.


    I immediately ran down,¡°Mom, just stay to sister, I will cook.¡± I respond. My mother eyes suddenly got big.


    ¡°Are you sure? I didn¡¯t teach you how to cook,¡± My mother said with her squinting eyes. Somehow she¡¯s saying that I¡¯m quite stingy.


    ¡°From books mom!¡± I responded immediately while smiling at her.


    ¡°No! Our house might get on fire.¡± She said firmly. She put my sister Minerva to ground and pointing me out to her.


    Poor mom, she just rejected the best of the earth¡¯s food.


    Well, I understand her. I¡¯m almost 5 years old, anyone will not trust a 5 years old child to cook. I just got excited on my new found out powers that I forgot to act as a child.     Even when I¡¯m 8 years old my mother didn¡¯t permit me to go outside. Because of so much boredom, I read the boring books and found out that this world was more exciting than I thought.


    Not just other species that similar to humans but also the animals here aren¡¯t called animals. They called beasts or monsters. Some of them are the same size as the dinosaurs. Some might even bigger. They are in the top of the food chain here in the world of Aragnos. The humans and the sub-humans species cities are surrounded by the sturdy big wall just to protect them from these monsters.


    Still, they¡¯re not exciting as much as the animes.

    When I was 10 years old, my body became a quite fat. Because of boredom, I ate too much of food from earth using my who knows power.


    Well, it''s not really boring here, my sister was already 5 years old. And sometimes she¡¯s too much to handle, too much active. I asked my mother to teach me how to cook but she said that I¡¯m still too young. Aside from my little sister Minerva, my mom didn¡¯t still taste the food from the earth.


    I was happy in our little house but still I want to see what¡¯s on the outside.


    Sometimes, I went to my mother and asked what¡¯s she¡¯s doing before. My mom told me that she was one of the mage knights who specializes in lightning. A B-rank mage knight to be exact. I asked about the ranking to her and told me that every human and other species are ranked according to their battle prowess, and mana pool. Their ranking was rank-F to rank-SSS where SSS is the strongest while F is the weakest. My mother was one of those adventurers.


    She said that there were only handful of humans who reached rank-S. One of them was the king of this kingdom. I asked my mother how she and my father met but she changed the subject as soon as she heard the word father.

    One time, when I was sitting in my bedroom in the afternoon. I imagined my one of the favorite anime characters, kenpachi from Bleach. I knew how their soul weapon works. And I tried to imagine his weapon Nozarashi.


    I knew that I¡¯m expecting nonsense but even so, this should be counted as an experiment. After some visual imagery and a little bit of tweak.


    I lifted my eyes and saw a thin long sword that had rough edges throughout its body. I¡¯m flabbergasted after I saw the sword. It¡¯s so similar to kenpachi¡¯s sword. Did my experiment success? But how was this possible this sword didn¡¯t exist to begin with, even on the earth.


    I touched the sword and slowly lifted it up. I¡¯m quite surprised from the sword weight, it was quite light than I thought.


    I tried to slash in the air the way kenpachi did in some anime episodes. After my slashed, a disturbing thin frequency sound filled my room. A resounding boom could be heard and everything went south.


    The large portion of my room that faced outside was gone. I even felt the ground shake for a moment.


    I saw all the strange people looking up to me outside while I¡¯m sweating furiously. My body feels exhausted. My knees gave up and I just sat on the ground.


    Immediately, I imagined the kenpachi¡¯s sword to disappear. And luckily it disappeared quickly.


    Just a second later, my locked door flew out and my mother went running to me. ¡°Lee, what happened?¡± She shouted while checking up my body up closed. She¡¯s quite worried that even some of her tears were falling down.


    After I saw my mother, I felt quite guilty about what I did.


    ¡°I¡¯m sorry mom,¡± I said and hugged her.


    I didn¡¯t know that because of that incident. Our little happy life in that house will come to an end.

 Chapter 3-

    After the incident, our little happy life comes to an end. I explained to them that a dark being suddenly appears out of nowhere and destroy my room as he or she was getting out.


    Surprisingly, they believed on what I said to them. But I think my mother have some doubts.


    My father suddenly went to our home and talked to my mother for a moment. A few minutes later they came to an agreement. My father¡¯s guard got our things and put it on the carriage where four big black horses were pulling.


    On the carriage, my sister Minerva was soundly asleep on the lap of my mother. I asked my mother, ¡°Where are we going mom?¡±


    ¡°Your father real house, please behave yourself when we get there.¡± She said. I think my mother was not in the mood. I didn¡¯t ask furthermore. If my hunch was correct, I think my mother was not the only wife of my father.

    As I looked at the windows, I remembered what I did back there. I could summon the sword of zaraki kenpachi. Maybe not just kenpachi, maybe I can also summon other weapons from anime that I watched as long I understand how they work.


    One of my favorites was One Piece. But I don¡¯t want to have power like Luffy, a rubber man. After thinking some things. I checked also my mother that also fallen asleep. Looks like our arrival is longer than I thought.


    I want some powers from naruto but I don¡¯t understand how they work. I want to try One piece first because summoning a fruit was a lot easy than learning techniques.


    While thinking about what should fruit do I eat. I saw the outside in a great detail. The structures have similarities in middle age Europe structures. Most of the houses are made from wood while the big ones are cemented. The cemented ones resemble an ancient Greece period structures.


    I know that these peoples are behind by earth''s technological advancement. Well, at least they do have magic. I think that was one of the reasons they''re falling behind.


    I''m thinking of the fire fruit of portgas D. Ace. The Mira Mira no ni fruit. But it''s too destructive, I might put our new home to fire. Then suddenly I remembered kazu, his chilly chilly fruit. I imagined the fruit from what I watched. After a few seconds, a familiar fruit pop out and rolled to the ground.

    After a few more hours, we finally arrived. When I went out I saw a big cemented house. It looked a 3 story building that has a cone on top of it.

    I think, my father was not an ordinary business man. When we entered our new house, I''m flabbergasted on what I saw. I never thought that even the technological level here was still far from earth. Their designs were certainly top notch. A beige color wall that has golden intricate designs and some paintings could be seen. There was also a silver chandelier and a red carpet that will warmly welcome you.


    There were a quite beautiful middle age women that walked on it. She smirked her face as she looked to my mother. And went up to the wide circular stairs.


    I knew that time she was the main wife of my father or similar to that. And looks like we¡¯re not in good terms with her.


    ¡°Please take a sit on that table, we know that you¡¯re quite hungry from your long journey.¡± The old woman maid said in a respectable manner. She has a gray hair and a face that has wrinkles. She¡¯s wearing a maid outfit but instead of black and white, It was color brown.


    After thirty minutes, the food has finally arrived. It was similar to a roasted chicken and a soup that full of vegetables.


    The three of us ate our dinner. We¡¯re sat side by side, my sister Minerva was a little monster eating in our middle.


    ¡°Hey, Big Brother, Mat Is this? This food cold,¡± Minerva said in stammered voice.


    When I looked at her, I saw the chilly chilly fruit was eaten by her. She even licked her fingers.


    I know that I¡¯m doomed.


    All of a sudden, the temperature dropped. My sister has some thin layer of ice covered her skin.


    The cold air became visible, even my breath was visible.


    ¡°What¡¯s happening!¡± My mother shouted as she held my sister. While my sister was still in her usual innocence posture. She was looking at her skin that covered in thin layer of ice while smiling.


    ¡°Impossible, Ice element? And this is the first time I see this kind of awakening..¡± She muttered. The worried on her face reduced a bit after she concluded that my sister has just awakened her element.


    Usually, the kids here that have magical talent awaken their element when they reach five to eight years of age. I¡¯m ten years old while my sister has just hit the five years mark. My parent thought that I¡¯m one of those magicless.


    What happened in the next moment was unbelievable. My sister awakened her original element, the lightning. While her body was covered with a thin layer of crystalline ice, there was an electric spark that dances around her.


    ¡°How.. a dual element user..¡± My mother said in disbelief as she looked up close to my sister.

    Different maids said in a loud voice and some were whispering their thoughts to each other. When the head maid clapped her hands all them also clapped their hands and congratulated my mother.


    After a few moments, finally, the elemental magic of my sister was finally subsided.


    ¡°Mother, what¡¯s happenin.¡± My sister said as she looked at my mother with her gentle eyes. My mother was still worried. Worried than before.


    This was all my fault. I should be more careful on my actions.

 Chapter 4-

    The day after my sister awaken her element, the news about a new prodigy spread like a wildfire. Different people came to our house. They invited her on some schools or institution to teach when she reach ten years old. While they¡¯re just ignoring me. I didn¡¯t even get one invitation. Now that I think about it, I¡¯m going to school soon. I wonder how much they¡¯re different from earth. Back in my school days on earth, my student life was fun. Aside from mathematics subject which was my favorite subject, all my grades from other subjects are just barely average.


    I felt that I just ruined my young sister''s childhood. What should I do to make up for my mistake? I need to protect her and my mom first. From my past experiences, there''s always a people will envy on what you have. And they will do everything to destroy you. I was a businessman man after all. I can differentiate between the good and not so good people.


    When I tried to remember how can I protect them. My favorite character in Bleach Anime saves me again. I recalled the eye patch of kenpachi that can store a vast amount of energy. I think in this world they¡¯re called mana. The source of all magic.


    It will be weird if I suddenly wear an eye patch. In the meantime, I disregard that thought. I need to think other items that will protect them.

    A month or two later, finally, my sister¡¯s famousness was subsided a bit. There were just a few people that invited her. If I¡¯m not mistaken most of them came from the inner city.


    In this kingdom, it only consists of three large cities. The Outer city which was I born and live for almost ten years. The Middle city where my current I was living. And the Inner city where the Royalties and big personalities were living.


    When you¡¯re living in the kingdom, you¡¯re not poor for sure. Most of the poor were living outside of the kingdom¡¯s city. The city of Ragard, the kingdom has no responsibility on them and they don¡¯t have any big walls that protected them. Even though the kingdom has no responsibility on them, I heard that one of the royalties are managing that city. They still somewhat protected by the kingdom.


    ¡°Hey, brother let¡¯s play in my room!¡± My sister said while pouting her cheeks. When I look to my sister, I always feel guilty.


    Luckily, my sister didn¡¯t have any idea on what¡¯s happening to her. I didn¡¯t see that she used her powers intentionally. But when she¡¯s angry the air temperature sometimes suddenly dropped.


    ¡°Yah yah, let¡¯s play, I will count up to three. 1,2 hmm.. where is beautiful Minerva?¡±

    All people were treating us right. Well, besides Petra the main wife of my father. I don¡¯t want to call her stepmom. As long as she see us, her face was always twitched in annoyance. I don''t want to admit it but she¡¯s quite a beauty too. I guess my father was one of those lady killers.


    My mom agreed that I could come out but only in the backyard. Unlike our first house, this house was full of maids and slaves. I couldn''t get enough space for my experiment. I don¡¯t want to repeat the mistakes that I did before. Aside from eating the foods from earth, I didn''t use my powers on any occasion.


    After our moved here, my mom changed. Her movements are robot like. And she''s always focused on my sister. I think overprotective might be the right term. Anyway, it''s like I don''t exist that much in our house. I think, I''m too behaved on my age and they think that I don''t much have that big future. Unlike my sister.


    And for my father. He¡¯s more rarely went home. He only visited us once in this month. And we don''t have much interaction either. But my sister got too much of his attention. Favoritism, I guess I can''t argue him on that one. The dual element user in this kingdom was only four. Exotic might be the fitting word.


    Because my father was the kingdom''s minister of budget and finance. I¡¯m shocked after I know this. I thought he¡¯s just an above average businessman. And because of his position in this kingdom I was accepted into the top school that located in the inner city. My subjects or profession were more on agriculture.


    There was a time that I asked my mother to teach me some swordsmanship. But she refused my request immediately. She said that I can learn them on school. My school is top notch. And I think she concluded that the teacher on that school was better than her.

    In the next few weeks, I will be going to the top school of the kingdom. My existence here was still barely noticeable. Well, honestly all people here are robots like. They all looked scripted to me. Aside from my sister of course.


    Fortunately, the Inner from Middle city distance was quite far. It will take 12 days before you reach your designated city. My mother told me that I will stay in the Inner city for three months before I can pay a visit to them.


    My feelings were a mix of sadness and happiness. Happy coz I can explore the culture and more about this world. I¡¯m a bit sad coz I¡¯m sure that I will miss my mother and younger sister. Three months is still a long time. The most important part was I can experiment more about my concocted gift.


    ¡­


    ¡°Lee, wake up.. Wake up..¡± My mother said while tapping my shoulder.

    ¡°I told you that because your sister was there, do you think she will agree that you will leave? Her new awakened powers may erupt.. Next month will be the beginning of your school.. Do your best there and stay safe.. You don¡¯t need to learn to fight.. Just stay safe and come back to us..¡± She said and hugged me tightly.


    Well, that makes sense. I think I understand the situation now.


    ¡°I will tell to your sister tomorrow that you just went to a doctor.. All your needed belongings are already prepared.. You can go there when you¡¯re ready.¡± She said while looking at me in her watery eyes.


    ¡°Don¡¯t worry mom, I will be careful and I¡¯m sure that I will be back.. I will miss you both..¡±

    My mom couldn¡¯t take it anymore and before I leave I saw her crying. And it was quite loud. I want to say aloud that hey mom I¡¯m not going to war or anything, I¡¯m just going to school y¡¯know. I will surely miss them.


    In the meantime In the middle of the night. I¡¯m in the carriage that has a symbol of the kingdom¡¯s property that looked like a falcon bird that painted in white. I¡¯m accompanied by eight robust full armored guards.


    It¡¯s quite boring here inside. It¡¯s quite spacious but there¡¯s no one I can talk with. All the guards have somewhat invisible barriers. They treat me like a king or some master. They don¡¯t know that I just wanted to befriend with them.


    ¡°Sigh.. I need to learn more about this world¡¯s cultural aspect..¡± I muttered.


    After some yawning, I fall asleep.


    ...


    When I lifted up my eyes. It¡¯s already morning. I smell some roasted beef and went outside.


    ¡°Good morning Mr. Lee¡± The guards that eating saw me said in unison and bowed their head for a moment.


    ¡°¡±You don¡¯t need to be formal. Lee is fine. Can I have some of that?¡± I said while smiling at them.


    All them looked to each other for a few seconds before giving me some food.


    ¡°Where are we?¡± I asked the six guards that eating with me. The two remaining guards were still sleeping at some big basket at the back of my carriage. I guess they¡¯re the ones who remain awake in the night. I guess they have a shifting of schedules too.


    ¡°Mr. Lee We are in the Mountain of Noros¡± Said by one of the middle age man that have a few wrinkles and remarkable slith scars on his face. I nodded my head and continue eating.


    ...


    There¡¯s still four mountain to traverse. Right, the middle and inner city were separated by five mountains. This was the reason our travel time was long. They said that there are few monsters here that living but most of them are just rank-E. That¡¯s the reason they¡¯re not hunted, most of the person that going to the city are strong or have strong guards. I¡¯m counted as the latter type of person.


    Still, I feel like I¡¯m home upon seeing the nature in this world. They kinda similar to the earth¡¯s mother nature. The thick virgin forest that¡¯s in green color. But I think the trees here are much thicker and taller than earth is.


    ¡°Mr. Lee, we are ready to move out.¡± Said by the leader of the guards in my back.

    We began our journey again to the Inner city. Sometimes, I talked to them and asked them some stuff but they have this barrier. It¡¯s like they¡¯re seeing me as a god. Ok, I think the god word maybe too much. But that¡¯s how I felt.


    After four days of traversing the mountains. There are some monsters that get in our way but my guards took care of them. I think the monsters were quite weak. One or two guards were enough for this journey, eight guards were quite overkilled.


    But just when I¡¯m about pondering things why did my family chose eight guards. I think, I know the reason. Bandits.


    The carriage suddenly stop.


    ¡°Get to a defensive position. Mr. Lee life is our priority!¡± Milan shouted, the leader of the guard.


    When I lifted up my eyes and check the window. My guards have already surrounded the carriage.


    ¡°Kill them all! Except for the kids on that Government Carriage.¡± One of the bandits shouted that echoed throughout the plain.


    I should be nervous right now. But I feel excited. I didn¡¯t kill people before. As I about to exit on the carriage.


    ¡°Mr. Lee stay inside the carriage. We¡¯re gonna take care of them.¡± Thomas said in his usual confident manner. But I see his face was full of sweat. He doesn''t want to die but he doesn''t have a choice.


    What happens next was left me stupefied.

    This is an inside job someone was trying to kill me.

    ¡°We are over fifty.. You¡¯re a nice person Milan but my job is not the same as yours. We just want to give you a chance. How about you Thomas? I¡¯m sure you value your little life.¡± One of my guards who¡¯s our enemy now said in a confident manner.

    A series of clashing metals could be heard. And a blood that spurted everywhere could be seen. I never thought that an old school battle will be this exciting. I didn¡¯t see any mage around. I think Milan and Thomas will die if I will not make any move.


    I activated my byakugan and I saw things more vivid. Then I summon my soul weapon or maybe Kenpachi''s weapon is more appropriate term.


    I could control the energy much better when I activated my byakugan.


    Just when they about to hit my loyal two guards that were kneeling in exhaustion. I slash my sword in a horizontal direction. I could see the chaotic energy that approaching the four guards. In the blink of an eye, Not just the four enemies that I targeted died. But also the ten of whom was quite a distance with their leader died. I used the flash step to clean up the others who are running in their lives. My secret needs to remain unknown.

    I don¡¯t know but I don¡¯t feel anything when I killed them. It¡¯s like this is just natural. I see my two loyal guards unconscious and their body was battered everywhere.

    I still have two weeks to train before going to school. It should be enough.

 Chapter 5

    Two weeks had passed since I began my training. I found out that I couldn''t use other bleach powers aside from Kenpachi. I regret it quite a bit, I wanted to try Yamamoto''s Zanpakuto too. Such a waste.

    When I checked out my face, I asked myself if the kid was really me. A long black hair that tied up in the back of my head. A bit tan skin, I think it was because of my intense training. A narrow, square face with high positioned cheek bones. A pointed nose, thin lips and brown eyes that look like it can pierce anyone. I think, I know the reason the people I met was a bit reluctant. My eyes seem want to kill anyone. If there a shorter word to describe myself it should be a handsome looking killer. Anyway, my face was a lot better than my earth¡¯s face.


    Using the flash step, I arrived in the Inner city in less than five hours. There was a wide and tall golden gate in front of me that has a wide canal surrounded the big metallic walls. If I¡¯m not mistaken, the brown bridge can pull out and that canal will be their somewhat another layer of protection. Quite an old school design, well, I¡¯m not that knowledgeable in terms of architecture.


    There¡¯s no one walking beside me. All person who enters owns a carriage.


    As I about to enter.


    ¡°Halt!¡± The knight that was holding a halberd shouted. And walked in front of me.


    After a few seconds of checking me out, ¡°Mister, Do you have a pass?¡± He asked in a respectable manner.


    ¡°No, I don¡¯t have. But my name is Lee.. Lee Sevarius.. Can I enter?¡± I said while scratching the back of my head. They should let me enter right? Damn, I will be late if the process will take long.

    I¡¯m not sure but I think this old man is not simple as he looks. There were so many strong people in the crowd. Why did he invite a kid like me? This is way too suspicious..


    I followed him and after a few moments, we arrived in a two floor bricked house that has a BAT MERCENARY written on the both side of the brown door. I was a bit hesitant at first but well I don¡¯t think they could catch up to me. I still have my trump card after all.


    The old man bends his back that seems had some sort of back pain. ¡°Young master, may I know your name?¡± He said while smiling at me. I don¡¯t know but this gramps didn¡¯t seem a bad guy. And Should I hide my background? I have a feeling that I can learn a lot from this old man.

I saw the old man¡¯s reaction was quite in shocked. After a few moments, Old man¡¯s spear was disappeared and his majestic aura also disappeared without any trace. He looks like a weak old man again.


    ¡°Lee, was that you''re all? You don¡¯t look tired at all.. Why do you think you can¡¯t win? And your eyes? It suddenly became white.. And your sword?     That was quite a tiring night and I have fallen asleep in our headquarter.

    Other figures appear on my left side. Looks like luck wasn¡¯t on my side, they¡¯re three beautiful babes. In their middle, a blonde western beauty that wearing a thin crown that leveled on her forehead said in mesmerizing tone, ¡±Young child, Do you know that swimming in this lake is forbidden?¡±

    In the room that full of steel walls, I¡¯d sit for a few hours. I think this room is their supposedly jail. What amazed me was, I could locate all the people in the castle. I even detected a dragon shaped monster that was also in a bigger scale type of cage. I wanted to check it out with my very own eyes but there¡¯s some sort of barrier protecting it.


    Oh well, I¡¯m going to figure it out later. I¡¯m sure, anyone from earth would like to see a real life dragon. I¡¯m not different from them, just a little curious.


    ¡°Come out!¡± One of the guards shouted. They put a blindfold on my eyes and we will go to who knows where.


    After a few moments, we arrived at a room that only a small yellow light floating in the middle. A man that was called highness sitting on the other side, if I¡¯m not mistaken, he might be the current king of this kingdom.


    ¡°I am King Blake, kid, Do you know what did you do?¡± He said in a quite serious tone.

    The brown hooded figure that was called Mooz suddenly appeared in front of me.

Comparing our proud divine race to a trash race such as you, a puny human is a big joke.
