《Legends of The War God》 Chap 00- Prologue I never knew where I was from, or who my parents were, or what my name was. I don¡¯t even know if my parents miss me, or even what they look like. The only things I know is that I am called ¡°CF-13¡± and I am a soldier in the royal army of the Runa Empire and that the year is 3045. My comrades called me Chu Feng as a nickname, why? well because of my asian features i guess or maybe it was funny i don''t know. Well life was simple, and by simple I am seriously fucking joking here. I mean really I don¡¯t know whether or not there is a higher power or a lower power. The so called God or the so called devil but one thing I¡¯m sure of, is that if hell really existed and I mean a big IF, then I¡¯m already living there. Wake up at 0400 with a warning horn on full blast men walking in the barracks screaming and cursing at the top of their lungs. Chaos, pure madness. Your mind feels like pudding and your ears are ringing, but you stand at attention fully dress in gears in less than 15 seconds. 0415 PT starts with a bang, a little stroll around base is what they called it I guess that is their way of joking because ¡°a little stroll¡± my ass... An 8 miles run under an hour is the requirement those who fail to complete are put in the 0xygen chamber The struggle to breathe the feeling that you¡¯re choking and that people are just a finger away but the fact that they are not willing to help is sickening. It makes you wish you were dead. We endured a great deal of hardship during our first years of training, and we were placed into situations and drills that pushed their abilities to their very limit and beyond. Our hard training was complemented with high-level education, which included mathematics, science, physics, reading, writing, linguistics, and military tactics. there was an exercise called covert op. Where we were thrown in a fantasy virtual reality game, and given specific missions. in order to test our abilities to go undercover. some times we were assigned as military strategist other time we were assigned as merchants, blacksmith, doctors, and so on. At the age of fourteen, we would go through the toughest part of our training: the biological augmentation procedures. I remember the first days that we all met each other. Just a bunch of kids, some of us barely 6. We were crying, asking for our parents. But, over time, we accepted that this was what it was, and that this life was only about us pushing our limits. Pushing our humanity and evolving to become killing machines and perfect soldiers trained in every aspect of life from hand-to-hand combat to horsemanship by the age of fourteen. These five hundred boys were my family. My brothers, and they all looked at me as their leader, and as I earned my stripes I earned their loyalty. I earned their love I earned the right to stand and lead them in battle and even higher heights; the right to be the captain of hundred and fifty seventh SPF Jackals (special operation forces) Even that process could do nothing could prepare us nothing I do will ever be able to make forget that night, filled with the horrible screams, and bloody guts of my comrades. It felt like days had passed and it did not stop it kept getting worst and worst enough to break a teenager. HELL even a grown man couldn¡¯t do it. Fully fledged soldiers who have seen the worst and been through the worst would probably die within the first ten minutes. After the procedure I discovered that out of five hundred of us, only three-hundred survived. After all that, our training got worse. The pain doubled, but our bodies were stronger faster more durable. Our eye sights were superior. Our sense of smell, hearing got enhanced beyond that imagined we could. We rival a hawk in eye sight, and a blood hound in sense of smell, we outclass a wax moth in hearing and healing became a joke, injuries suffered would heal in only one night. We became super soldiers the greatest fighting force in human history and it didn¡¯t take long before we saw action the next six month after we saw action in at least a hundred warzones. Our kill count as a unit was the highest in military history and our numbers per soldiers was even more outlandish our lowest number registered at forty thousand kills and our highest being me registered a hundred and fifty thousand confirmed kills in combat. We would become blood thirsty monsters we fired our guns until they ran out of bullets, then used our combatknives until the blades were dulled. Finally, as a last resort, we went to fighting with our bare hands we were unstoppable. So just like that just as fast as we were created we were finished see they got scared because they couldn¡¯t control us anymore. The same drugs they used to turn us into fighting machine, did something to us. It did something to our fucking brain and I mean fuck we were stuck in a place between human and beast. We had all the bloodthirst and tools of a beast but we looked like human we could see hear smell track our prey from 50km on and we had the perfect memory a sharp mind and unrivaled instinct We can make hard decisions on a split second armed with an entire childhood of military training and tactics the feared that we would turn on them so The order came from up high to decimate and eliminate all of us like we were some kinds of fucking cockroaches these sons of bitches thought they were the fucking exterminators Little did they know that is what we needed a stimuli ohh we took to them it was marvelous blood guts flying everywhere like snow in the winter. Just when we taught we could kill them all these bastards used a bomb now I don¡¯t what kind but shit it killed every one of us. Now you know about me as I float in this empty space wondering where am I and where am I going now I know that there is nobody here and that I¡¯m probably crazy but hey I¡¯ve been floating here for a while. Now so you can¡¯t really blame now can you so you can go on ahead and mock me or call me a monster and that I deserve what I got but ''hey to each his own opinion right'' Just as I was talking to myself a bright light appeared and I got sucked into it thinking ¡°oh well this is it¡± Chap 01-The meeting As I regain consciousness i felt warm, and very comfortable as if I belong in this environment, but soon I snap my eyes open and realized that I was alive I quickly checked my condition and realized that my body was intact and that I was buck naked weird right. But still I was quite shocked to be alive really because I could sworn I was a goner then when I was floating in that empty space towards the light. Another thing that caught my attention was the fact that I was currently under water with uneven cut walls on each sides of me The surface of the walls were all jagged and looked like they were naturally made by withstanding the test of time. It was narrow enough to fit 3 adult males of average builds and have barely enough room for anything else. I looked up and all I saw was a round shaped light by my estimation that either the sun or the moon but couldn¡¯t be too sure from my position And also based on the amount of pressure being pressed against my body I could tell I was at least 500-520 feet underwater All in all it didn¡¯t really bother me much because of my augmentation I have eighty percent more protein in my muscles than the average human, making it possible for me to store oxygen in my body thus allowing me to hold my breath for over an hour under water. While thinking about the recent events that transpired I was just casually sitting on the floor of the body of water I wasn¡¯t too sure whether or not it was an ocean, a lake, a river hell it did not matter to me The only thing that mattered was whether or not those assholes were gone or not If I would have to fight again or not I was kind of hoping for option A but after further planning I decided it wasn¡¯t such a good idea for one I was alone Two I was alone and judging from the state of thing I was naked and weaponless so it would not do much in helping my case After carefully considering and weighing my options I decided to make my way to the surface by then a little over an hour had past as I carefully make my way to the surface at frightening speed I could not help but to feel amazed and thankful yet again due to or augmentations I now possesses strength, speed, adaptability, agility, coordination, stamina, durability, endurance, lung-capacity, reflexes, health, instincts, regenerative capabilities, intelligence, keen senses, and accuracy that were far beyond those of a normal humans or other species. My muscles were lean and brawny, and my body shape wouldn¡¯t change no matter how much calories I intake before my death i was 6 feet 5 inches tall, and weight 275 Lbs, judging from my inspection my height and weight are identical. Another result was my skin are similar to that of a whale and that my body hair is capable of creating bubbles, thus reducing friction in the water and allowing me to travel at the fastest speed possible under water. While thinking all of that shit I was getting nearer to the surface and to that nice big bright round shaped light judging form it I can clearly make say that I was the sun As I edge closer I reduce my speed in order to push my head barely over the surface to peek out, and quickly collect information. What entered my field of vision was VERY disturbing, and that was being modest. Ok fuck it, it was downright haunting. Just as I peeked out all I saw was a male genitalia standing at full attention right in my fucking face, it was close enough too¡­.JUST KNOW THE FUCKING THING WAS TOO CLOSE FOR CONFORT I closed my eyes, and jumped out of the water landing a few steps away from the man, and out of panic and, shock i uncontrollably yelled out in surprise to my unwanted surprise. ¡°What the fuck¡± ¡°Oh well hello there, I didn¡¯t think I¡¯d be having company here while relaxing.¡± A deep commanding voice rang in my ears I reluctantly turned around, and took a look at the man while carefully maintaining eye contact because the last thing I want is him thinking I¡¯m a peter gazer, or worse yet some pervert here to peek at women who were in the middle of their leisure time. The man has a warrior''s build with bulging muscles, and intense eyes on top of which his eye brows sits like to slanted swords. He has a thin mustache and a goatee as well. His body is covered in numerous scars showing that he has been in many battles. He has long black hair tied up in a ponytail by my estimation is should be in his early to mid-thirties. But even so I feel no presence from him almost like he is a saint, but judging from the state of his body and the way he looks at me I can tell he is no ordinary man. I swallowed a gulp of saliva, and regain the composure of a soldier in the midst of a life or death battle, and confidently answered: ¡° sorry sir, I was free diving and trying to push the limits of my capabilities by holding my breath for as long as possible¡± while maintain my composure my mind was doing the opposite, and was thinking (i hoped he believes because shit that story sounds stupid as hell) The man took a deep long look at me which was very awkward because we are both adorn in our birthday suit, and staring at each other in eye. Now I am by no means prejudice nor do I really care about that sort of stuff. in my old life such things did not matter to me. The whole concept of sexual drive, or sexual preferences was pointless because as a well oil machine created and trained for war, we were giving sever training in order to control our urges. Those who hold it are considered the most experienced and most talented commanders, becoming living symbols of a state''s martial prowess and leading hundreds of thousands of soldiers into battle. Oftentimes, during important campaigns, they are appointed as a Commander-in-Chief of the campaign with other generals serving as Vice Generals and looking towards them for guidance. He then answered them ¡°We will talk later, you guys can go and wait for me in my study, and I need to have a talk with my son hahaha¡± Without waiting for an answer he tapped Chu Feng¡¯s shoulder indicating to follow him. They walked down the hallways, and up a few stairs than again, down another few hallways before they stood before a door. After entering the room, Chu Feng noticed it was bedroom, looking around he realized that it was plain and simple. The only things out of place were the insane amount of books on the floor, on the bed and also on a table. Shaking his head Chu Feng felt sick. Because of his military background and training, Chu Feng became an organized type of person. Some might say borderline OCD. So imagine his inner turmoil when he sees all this mess in a room that now belongs to him. Sighing a sigh of relief while shaking his head. Chu Feng again looked around and spotted an empty book shelf tucked away in the corner¡­empty. Now small traces of anger were beginning to bloom. Swallowing his saliva, Chu Feng tried his best to call himself down. Chu Hai had the same feeling as him. He felt sick, but for other reasons, to him this was a reminder of how much he neglected his son. Shaking his head he too sighed, then taking a deep breath he began talking to Chu Feng, his tone was neither too high nor to low. ¡°Ok this will be your room, now I apologize for the mess, I will send a maid in to clean up for you. Chu Hai smiled and answered Shu Pei¡¯s question, his face was that of a proud parent, bragging about his son to others. ¡°Who said he has no combat experience? Humph I dare say he has more combat experience than any other kids of his generation. The only problem is that he has yet to awaken his spirit yet, but I plan on doing something about that tomorrow. I will try and see if he is either useless, a genius or a cripple. If he is a genius after I¡¯m done with him he will be a force to be reckoned with. ¡° Silence descended in the room nobody said nothing. What could they say in this situation? Normally that would considered rude, and Chu Hai had every right to be angry at his friend/subordinate¡¯s attitude, but no, he stood there still laughing at him. After Shun Pei left. The smile on Chu Hai¡¯s face slowly disappeared, walked back behind the desk and looked outside the big window overlooking the rear court of the estate. The scenery looked fresh out of a heavenly painting. Koi fishes were swimming in the pond, with beautiful flowers floating on the surface. The flowers and the bushes were meticulously groomed, and the trees were robust and gave a feeling of security. After sighing one more, he too made his way out the study, his steps were resolute. They were that of a man that made up his mind. Slowly but surely the sun made its way up over the horizon. Birds started chirping and singing, and the maids and butlers of the estate were on the move. It was morning and it was the start of a brand new day. In his room Chu Feng sat there with a pile of four books in front of him. Each book was the size of a military footlocker. Chu Hai put his chopsticks down and beckoned him over, as the seat to his right was empty. Breakfast was normal besides the usual conversation nothing out of the ordinary happened. Soon both Bi Qing Han took her leave, followed by her daughter. And after some formalities so did Shun Pei, after the table was clear. Chu Hai and Chu Feng sat there in silence. After a brief yet tense, and awkward silence Chu Hai broke the ice so to speak. A warrior¡¯s strength is closely related to the strength of martial spirits. On the continent, martial artists use numbers to measure against one another. There are 5 realms in total¡± After a while Chu Hai proceeded to tell Chu Feng about the level and names used by martial artists on the continent. Mortal realm Earth realm Sky realm Heaven realm Sovereign realm After listening to these terms and power levels, Chu Feng felt a headache coming, and inwardly sighed to himself thinking ¡®WHAT HELL DID I GET MYSELF INTO¡¯ But despite all he did not show it on his face and kept on absorbing all the information from Chu Hai. But as of right now he was nothing more than a confused young man. Chap 05-Awekening After briefly running over all the information he just received. In his mind he could not think of how a young man no older then sixteen, a kid still so young would have his life destroyed, for what for the pleasure of some scumbags. In front of him was a living human being yet when you look at him, when speak to him it was as if you were speaking to a corpse. He was emotionless, quiet, without care for his life. And back when Chu Hai saw his naked body, it was riddled with scars and burn marks. It was evident that this boy has been to edge of life and death many times, and along the way has killed many. His killing intent was strong and heavy. It carried the soul of those he killed and those he lost, he was baptized in hells bloody river. Sighing Chu Hai once again broke the silence. ¡°Pick a weapon on the wall we will begin shortly after you do¡± Along the walls of the training room were all kinds of weapons some were real others were clearly meant for training. Without any hesitation Chu Feng walked up to the closest wall and selected a sword. The sword he selected could categorized as a Chinese katana hybrid. The blade was the size of a Japanese nodachi, but the hilt was that of a Chinese double edge light sword. After a few swings Chu Feng nodded his head in satisfaction. In the meantime Chu Hai also did the same and selected his weapon. Along the walls many of the sword were classic Chinese swords. The sword he selected was the same model as the one he uses on the battle field, it was a massive single edge curved sword. It was a basquashdao sword. Chu Feng recognized it from the history books he read. Nodding Chu Hai started walking towards Chu Feng. His entire demeanor changed in an instant. Chu Hai became like a hungry beast in front his prey, in a cold voice he said to Chu Feng. ¡°Let¡¯s begin, and remember this is life or death come at me with your life on the line. If not then you might die.¡± As if the temperature in the room suddenly dropped, Chu Hai involuntarily shivered. He was shocked for a second. But when he noticed the demonic smile on Chu Feng face he realized that he was the one that needed to be careful or he would be the one lying the ground. Without a moment of hesitation both of them ran towards each other at breakneck speeds, for a moment Chu Hai was speechless. He was using his spirit energy to increase his speed and also used lightness and movement skills to arrive top speed. But in front of him Chu Feng was equally as fast, yet he wasn¡¯t using any skills. It was pure physical, and raw speed. Yet it was frightening, how can he achieve this? who the fuck is this boy?. All these question ran through Chu Hai¡¯s mind. Calming his mind Chu Hai focused on the task at hand. Without delay both swords clashed. The force that transmitted though the sword and to Chu Hai was enough to make his hands go numb for a few seconds, not only that he was also pushed back a few steps. Again with eyes wide open, Chu Hai looked at the boy in front of him in disbelief, but he once again recovered. They continued to clash again and again. And with either Chu Hai being pushed back a few steps, or Chu Feng. But most of the time it ended up in both fighters holding they¡¯re grounds. Minutes, hours went bye with no clear winner. Chu Hai was forced to use all of his experience and techniques gain over his military lifetime, yet he could not breakthrough this boys defenses. It was as if he was constantly three steps ahead of him, he would anticipate and counter him with precise and deadly accurate moves. When Chu Hai used brute force, he would use techniques to negate the strength then launch a deadly and precise counter. When Chu Hai used speed, he would also speed up, then would slow down and throw his timing off. Then would once again accelerate and deliver vicious bone crushing strikes. Almost everything was a notch above Chu Hai, speed, strength, technique, precision, angles, and most importantly perception. The only reason why Chu Hai was still fighting on equal grounds was because of his experience on the battlefield. Chu Feng was trained in every aspect of warfare but in his world, war was mostly fought with guns and other advanced weapons. But in Chu Hai¡¯s world, combat was up close and personal, melee combat was the universal way. Yes long range warfare had its use. With archery and other ballistic weapons but war was won using cavalry and infantry troops. And most of the time generals would challenge each other in a one on one duel in order to determine the winner. Using all of his accumulated experience Chu Hai was able to neutralize most of the deadly strikes aiming for his life. But soon realized that after hours and hours of combat not only was he not able to pressure Chu Feng but he himself was getting weaker and weaker due to exhaustion. And in the flip side Chu Feng was getting stronger and stronger, which meat that this battle of attrition was nearing his end soon. And that he would be on the losing end of the spectrum, he decided to put some distance between them. Once he, he took a breath and said ¡°Wow I did not expect you to be this talented, and so strong. Well anyway play time over, in order to force your spirit out I need to really pressure you.¡± Soon as he finish his sentence the air in the room rose and became extremely hot. A beast spirit aura emitted out from his body. Flames roared out all around the room with Chu Hai in the center of it all. Soon the flames materialized and an extremely powerful Scarlet flamed Black Tiger showed up and hovered over his back. It looked menacing, its fangs bearing out ready to shred Chu Feng apart like scraps of meat, yet even looking at this beast Chu Feng didn¡¯t panic one bit, he did at least he didn¡¯t show it. And the reason why he didn¡¯t show it was because he had long entered the zone while fighting Chu Hai, because he took this fight seriously, he used all of his training against him. Looking at the scarlet flamed black tiger, then looking at Chu Hai, Chu Feng couldn¡¯t help but be amazed at this sight. After that he said ¡°Well I guess that is your martial spirit huh, it looks strong. Slowly but surely the temperature kept climbing up. If anybody else was in the center of this fire storm they would have long since thrown the towel in defeat. But Chu Feng was different, having gone through the augmentation procedures his body provided him with incredible resistance towards heat. While it was not comfortable, it was uncomfortable either. He could endure it, and his skin would not burn, nor would it affect his organs. At least not at the current temperatures. It would take far more to do damage to him, but Chu Hai wasn¡¯t aware of this. In his mind this boy was nothing more than a monster in human skin. He even though that the boy was using his martial spirit to resist him. But after further review and the spiritual fluctuation in the air he dismissed that idea, feeling extremely gloomy he kept on increasing the temperature. As the temperature increased around Chu Feng, slowly but surely his clothes started being affected. Due to Chu Hai precise control of his flames all the heat was directed towards Chu Feng alone. The room and the items in the room were unaffected, after an hour of climbing temperature, Chu Feng felt as if he was swimming in a sea of lava. The scorching sensation became increasingly intense. And Chu Feng tightly clenched his teeth, the pain was equal to that of his augmentation. But having gone through what he had in life by no way would he screamed in pain. He took a deep breath and once again calmed himself. Now that he had prepared himself something else happened. Suddenly a foreign energy in his body began to circulate. Slowly but surely it became stronger and stronger, soon his whole body felt many times stronger, and that he was invincible. After his whole body from head to toe was powered by this foreign energy, it started to migrate and gather in front of his chest. Soon his entire body was wrapped in a pitch black aura, and his eyes began to glow with a dark red light, if one were to see him now, they would think he was the grim reaper himself. Slowly but surely the heat didn¡¯t affect him, he once again stood there as if nothing happened. Chu Hai somehow noticed. And with a loud roar the tiger once again spit out a chuck of flames, and the intense roasting once again picked up but this time the intensity was worst. Before he got to the point where he would have to kneel on one knee or have both arms planted on the ground. Right at this moment that an electronic tone sounded in his mind as an illusory gate was unlocked. Following that, a delicate voice called out ¡°Uwa. Too hot, too hot¡­big brother please have mean uncle over there stop it.¡± Closing his eyes, thinking that maybe he was hearing things. Or that it was a figment of his imagination, Chu Feng saw a tiny succubus like fairyflying back and forth in his mind. He abruptly open his eyes and what he saw shocked him silly. In it are the information and soul of every beast in the game. The book was the size of a grown man while standing up, and when Chu Feng purchased it in the game it was deemed a worthless item. It was a limestone ranked item, he bought for 1 copper coin. The reason why it was worthless was all the information in the book where available to the player via appraisal. And appraisal was free to all players, it unlocked as soon as a player creates his or her character. But Chu Feng purchased the book in order to sell his cover story of a prodigal son of a merchant. ¡°Whatever is fine! I just need a spirit to keep this asshole of me anyways. So pick a spirit from it already Jo, this heat is annoying¡± With a few beeping sounds Jo began to work, after a few seconds she finished her refinement task, now it was time to bond it to Chu Feng¡¯s soul. ¡°Big brother Feng get ready, this will only hurt for a few seconds ok¡± Chu Feng nodded and replied in an excited voice ¡±Got it¡± Suddenly a crack of pain split across his skull. Chu Hai on the other hand was speechless, his mouth was wide open. So wide in fact a bird could fly straight through it. The reason why his mouth was like that was fairly simple, in front of him stood a Ten-headed snake like beast with four legs and a tail. its skin was make of obsidian scales, each one of its ten heads had different colored jewel embedded on the forehead erea. Yes it was a ten-headed Hydra.This martial spirit was incredibly rare to this day it was only rumored to exist. Each of the ten heads, can use a different ability fire, water, wind, earth, lightning, light, dark, blood, poison and finally sound In addition it could also use combination attacks, an attack formed by the combination of two different system is not simple as 1+1=2. Its power would rise exponentially. For example if he combine water and wind he will get ice, but if he use fire and earth that will result in magma. Speechless absolutely, Chu Hai has received one surprise after another. And just when he thought he was used to it he receives another big one. At this moment every man and woman in the estate had encircled the training ground, without a moment¡¯s hesitation. After arriving at the mansion Bai Qing Han let Mei L¨¬x¨²e go off on her own to pay visits to her cousins who are currently staying at the mansion while she made her way towards her father''s study. Meaning that they were free to wage combat as they saw fit. they could act as support to other troops, act as a defensive line against the ennemy, or even scarier was they had the ability to launch surprise attacks. With Chu Feng as their commander they became a highly organized and disciplined unit. Every member of the Death spreading brigade is an expert fighter and are capable of performing high level coordinated combat without even the slightest hint of disorder. Their three hundred man unit had reached a level that surpasses that of the average 1000-man unit. They also specialized in guerrilla-warfare, fighting in areas deemed unmaneuverable such as forests and mountains. They are known to accomplish their assignemts with deadly accurcy and pressision. What is even more troubleling to the enemy is their ruthlessness and extreme prejudice in combat. One thing that baffled the higher ups of the Chu Has army was that at one point all of them were spritless, using Jo and his beast spirit encyclopedia Chu Feng was able to create a special pellet that would give them a beast spirit. Using this technique, he created pellets of some of the most ferocius and downright tenacious beast spirits allowing his men to become cold-blooded killers. Which they already were from years of combat. None who have crossed swords with them lived to tell the tales. They annihilate all who oppose them, and smash any all form of resistance, on the battlefield the young Chu Feng was given a nickname. "The prince of death" while he was on the battlefield earning himself accolades and military recognitions his name was spreading throught the continent, from friends to foes all heard his name. What was bothering Chu Hai was Chu Feng''s cultivation rank. By no way was it lacking, as a matter of fact it he was also a prodigy at cultivating, in a spand of a few days his rank rose from a Level 1 Martial novice to a Level59 Battle lord. This shocked everyone who witness it, this boy crossed stages and jumped an entire realm in lease then a year. if this kind of talent was made known to the world, many expert would spit out a mouth full of blood.
