《Frost Heart》 Chapter 1 - Prologue Adrozathe world where many creatures make their home has always been torn between two sides of light and dark, war raged across the world, kingdoms disappeared, empires fell on both sides but the never ending war that takes many shapes never stopped. But the far reaches to the north of the world Adrozalies the frozen land, a land so deadly that even the creatures that adored the cold could not withstand the harshclimate of the frozen land. The land beneath the ice and snow took shape for the first time, it created a creature that was known as the elemental king or as it was later known by the beings of Adrozaking of frost. The being that walked on the frozen land for the first time felt sadness because it was still alone and no creature would live on the land he calls home. The king decided to change the land he lived in as he certainly had the power to do so, he spent countless years to shape the new land he desired, the frozen land of death was no longer a death land as creatures and animals made it their new home. The king was happy with this but he was still saddened as the creatures and animals never dared to approach him not even look at him. But that all changed one day when a group of creatures with long ears he had never seen before made their way through his land, he was happy to see new and exciting creatures, but the strange thing to him was the other group of creatures that were riding yet another strange creature, they were holding strange things in their hands. The group that was riding the strange creatures caught up to the strange eared creatures and did something that upsetthe king, they have just taken a life, fresh red liquid stained the land as the snow absorbed it. The king did not like the scene in front of him, he made his way towards the creatures and he arrived like a thunder. Before the creatures stood a 3-meter tall creature made of blue and white crystals, his blue eyes looked over towards the group that had the long strange ears, they looked at him with disbelief and they all huddled with eachother. "What the fuck is this!?" while the other group that was riding strange hairy creatures stood before him with those dangerousthings in their hands. The hairy creatures were very afraid of the king as they constantly tried to run away from the king, the king was not upset about as all the creatures living in his land were like that. "Captain is this thing a golem!?" one of the riders asked as he pointed his sword at the king. The king looked at the strange creature and thought about the word the creature said golem? While the king was busy with his thoughts the so-calledcaptain of the creatures spoke "I don''tknow Jait but that thing is in our way chop it down to pieces maybe we can sell its body parts after we capture those elves!" the creatures charged at the king with their swords. "Take this!" one of the creatures was first to reach the king struck down on the king''s crystal body, but he was shocked when his sword broke on the king''s body. "What the hell!?" the looked dumbfounded, the king looked at him with his eyes, for the first time he felt annoyed he raised his giant crystal hand, he wanted to move the creature away from him but he did not know his own strength as the rider flew a couple of metres and crashed down on the tree along with his hairy creature they did not move. The king looked at his own hand and thought so this is how it feels to take a life, I do not like it. "Fuck Drei!" one of the riders yelled as he galloped towards the fallen comrade when he arrived he just raised his head and looked at the creature called captain with teary eyes "Captain he.....he is dead....my little brother is dead!" the captain frowned and yelled out. "Retreat fall back steel does not hurt this creature, let''s leave this forsaken place, let those elves freeze to death who cares anymore!" the captain turned around with his hairy creature and the rest soon followed even the one that looked with eyes filled with hatred towards the king. The king let them leave and turned around and looked at the creatures that had strangely pointed ears unlike the other group and their faces and hair looked differently they were more elegant as far as the king understood he slowly made his way towards the group of shivering creatures. One of the creatures walked towards him with a little creature that resembled the one that walked towards him, he was shivering, he kneeled down and started to speak. "Great spirit of ice please forgive us for trespassing upon your land, but we had no other choice, our town was invaded by the human outlaws we truly had no other choice but to flee into your land please forgive us!" the creature yelled. "Please forgive us!" the rest of the strange eared creatures yelled and they all kneeled down. The king was at the loss as what to do but he noticed the little creature that the big one was carrying in his arms had strange eyes he felt as the light within her was leaving her he bent down and took a closer look and for the first time in his life he spoke.Love this story? "What is wrong with that little one?" he spoke in a low and cold voice that made the pointed ears creatures shiver and tremble even more. "That...um she is my daughter, she is very sick, she has been like this since birth, and this land is harmful to her and the rest of us" the creature mustered his courage and spoke up. "Is that so" the king looked in wonder than an idea flashed through his mind. "Why don''t I help her?" the king asked with his voice that made the elves want to run away as far as they could, but the frozen land stands in their way. "I...r...." before the pointed ear creature could speak up the king already placed one of his giant crystal finger on the little one''s forehead, a blue light shone and it made its way into the little one. "Freya!" the older creature yelled as he hugged the little one. When the light disappeared all of the pointed eared creatures looked stunned their eyes were wide open as they stared at the little one that now had a pale white skin, her hair that was once blond was now white as the snow they were standing upon. "Freya!?" the older one shook the little one and yelled as few tears fell down his face, he turned and looked at the king with eyes filled with hatred as he was about to say something a little voice came into his ear "father?" he looked down towards Freya in an instant. The little one opened her eyes that were crystal blue and looked at her father that stared at her with teary eyes, she suddenly stood up and looked at the king, strangely she was not afraid of him at all and she even gave him a little charming smile. "By the gods!? Freya is walking!" some of the creatures yelled in surprise even the one that she called father was crying as he hugged her and raised her up in the air. The king quite liked this situation he longed to hear happy voices. "Great spirit I thank......I am truly grateful for what you have done!" the older one kneeled down once again with a tearful face, but his face became gloomy once again, the king asked him out of curiosity what was wrong with him. He started to speak about the misfortune that had struck down his town and his people, he had learned the name of the creatures that had chased the ones called elves they were humans. The king had bad feelings about the creatures called humans all he could see their greed and lust for the things they do not have he formed his first bad impression about something. These elves had no home to return to, as they had lived in a small town outside the great Woodland kingdom, they could not take refuge in the kingdom in other words they were left for dead. The king had another idea and with a happy voice, as much as his cold voice could be happy he spoke to the male elf. "Then how about you make this your home?" the elf was left speechless, he looked around and with a forced smile he spoke. "I do not mean to be a rude great spirit but this....your frozen domain is not suitable for us elves" he forced a smile as he spoke to the king. "Umm... that is not a problem ask your little one over there" the king pointed at the little elf girl Freya that was currently playing in the snow rolling around. "Freya what are you doing you will get sick again!" the man yelled but Frey turned around and smiled at him as she spoke happily. "Father it is not cold at all and it feels really nice!" Freya continued to play in the snow as she giggled and laughed. "That.." the male elf was without a word, his daughter that was born with a weak body that even sun rays could hurt was now happily giggling and playing in the snow in this frozen land that was once known as death land he was speechless, as he looked at the king. "Well I can make you like that as well, I can give my blessing to your people as well and then you can live on this land" the king spoke and looked at the male elf. "I....I want to talk to my people first is that alright?" male elf spoke as he looked up at the king. "Very well take your time" the king sat down, the ground shook a little this made some of the elves loose their balance and fall down into the cold snow, they quickly jumped up and shivered as they cursed a little. The male elf went over to the other ones and they started discussing among each other whether they should accept or decline the offer the king made. The king waited patiently for the elves to finish their discussion as he waited the little one crept up to him and touched his crystal hand. He looked at her with his cold blue eyes, she also looked at him and gave him a warm smile as she spoke to him. "Granpa, can I sit on your shoulders?" little Freya asked as she looked at the king with charming little blue eyes. "Granpa what is that?" the king asked curiously as he looked at her, she changed her expression as she started to think. "I don''t know! But can I?" she yelled loudly and then asked for him to let her sit on his shoulders, which he did not have any idea why she wanted but he did not have reason to decline. "Very well, hop on little one" he extended his giant hand and opened up his hand so the little Freya could stand, he carefully moved his giant hand towards his shoulder, Freya jumped on his shoulder and sat down closely to his giant crystal face she giggled and laughed. "Waa... so high!" this made the king strangely comfortable and happy for the first time since his existence. "Freya!? What are you doing get down here!" the male that Freya called father yelled down at her but she just ignored him and stuck out her tongue at him as she giggled. "Why you little....sigh" he was about to yell but he let out a deep sigh and looked at the king that was already staring at him. "Great spirit we have made our decision, we wish to stay and live on this land, please grant us your blessing to do so!" he spoke to the king and kneeled down respectively towards him. "Very well" the king stood up and raised his giant hand blue light started to shine out of his hand, the light started to fly towards the elves that were kneeling down, and slowly made its way inside their bodies, their bodies started to change as their skin started to pale their varied hair colours started to become white and their eyes now shone like a blue crystal. The elves looked at each other with a happy expression they no longer felt any cold rather it was quite pleasant for them to feel the snow and cold, they looked at the king with happy expressions, they no longer felt any fear towards him they now felt connected to him and they were filled with gratitude. "Now you will need a new name how about ice elves?" the king spoke. "It is indeed a great name, we are honored to call ourselves that great king!" the elves now known as the ice elves kneeled down once again. "Me king?" the king looked at them strangely, what is a king? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An: A simple prologue, hope someone likes it "best regards" ^^ Chapter 2 - Ice Elves "Captain we are soon to arrive at Eldelun" a full silver armored man with a blue cape dragging behind him spoke towards the person with a similarly looking armor only the color was different it was red completely red.The red-armored one was riding a unicorn that was completely protected by armor as well. The one riding the unicorn turned his head towards the one that spoke to him and with a sweet but also serious voice spoke "very good keep up the speed men! Those damned human bandits take advantage of the war and run across our land unchecked, they kill and enslave our people!" the red armored woman yelled and the rest of the marching men speed up. "This is..." the red armored woman took off her helmet a long blonde hair slid down her back, her face could be considered extraordinary if it wasn''t for the deep scar that covered one-half of her face the woman was called Della, she was the commander of the special force that was ordered to protect the borders of the great kingdom. She starred at the town called Eldelun the town was outside the great elven kingdom but it was still inhabited by the elven kind when the nearby garrison that was commanded by Della saved a fleeing elven man with many wounds on his body, he pleaded for help and said that their town was under attack by many humans. Della had no obligation to help the people that did not belong to the great elven kingdom, but she had a soft heart for people in great need, she mustered half the garrison and with great haste, they made their way towards Eldelun, but in the end all they found was a ruin of a scorched town, not one survivor was found. "Sigh, we were too late" she sighed heavily and looked at the burned buildings and the dead bodies, the bodies mostly belonged to males as the females were better sold as slaves at the black market. "Commander!" one of the silver armored soldiers walked with haste towards her and called out. "Speak" she beckoned to him with her hand to speak freely. "Our scouts report that a band of horseman is descending down from the frozen land I believe they are the bandits that destroyed this town, your orders?" the man spoke seriously as he awaited the answer from Della. "Set up an ambush leave few survivors!" Della gave the order before she mounted her steed and put on her red helmet. "By your command!" the soldier saluted and quickly went away. "Come quickly lets return to the hideout, I had enough of this place!" the bandits that met the king hurriedly ran away from the frozen lands as if they were chased by demons, they didn''t even stop to take a break even their horses were dead tired but they didn''t care. Suddenly a rain of arrows came down on them slaughtering almost everyone except the leader of the bandits and a few others, the leader of the bandits was in disbelief, he didn''t even have time react before the remaining survivor along with him were already surrounded by spears and arrows pointed at them. "Drop your weapons scum!" one of the elven soldiers yelled at the bandits to drop their weapons wich they did almost instantly. "Hmph, cowards, take them to the commander!" the elven soldier looked at the bandits like they were nothing more than insects and order the rest of the soldiers to take the bandits to Della. The bandits were brought before Della and placed down on their knees, their hands were bound by ropes Della looked at them with hateful eyes and she spoke. "Speak human, were you the ones that committed these atrocities in this town?" she spoke loudly and looked at the bandit leader. "......" he just stared at her with dead eyes, he was broken inside his company first encountered that monster of the frozen land and while they were running away from the creature they were ambushed by the elven elite soldiers, even if he survived this now the higher ups would have his head for the failure. "Sigh, of with their heads" Della sighed before she ordered her men to cut down the bandits, she turned her steed around and slowly started to gallop away from the prisoners. The bandit leader looked at the blade that was closing in on his neck, in that moment a strong will to live surfaced deep within the bandit leader, he rolled away and avoided the blade he looked towards Della and in his last desperate attempt he yelled out. This book is hosted on another platform. There are still survivors!" the elf that was about to cut his head stopped inches away from his neck, the elf looked at Della waiting for her orders. "Let him speak" Della once again brought her steed closer to the prisoners. "First I would like your word that you will let me live after I tell you what I know, do I have your word?" the bandit looked at Della, he was scared sweat purred down his forehead, this was the first time he felt so close to death. Della looked at him in silence for a while, she broke the silence "Very well you have my word, no harm will come to you but you will be released after you tell us what you know" Della made a decision, she was a cold-hearted veteran when it came to war and killing but she still had a soft spot for her kind and for the helpless and weak. "There....up in the frozen land about three days ride there should be little more than two hundred of your kind with women and children....if they are still alive that is" the bandit spoke with a grim looking face. "What do you mean if they are still alive?" Della asked in confusion as she beckoned the bandit leader to continue. "A terrifying creature made of strange crystal lives there I doubt there are any survivors but this is all I know I told you what I know now let me go!" the bandit yelled at Della. Della looked at him "Sigh, release him!" she had thoughts about killing him but she did give him her word that she would let him live but not his men "kill the rest!" when she spoke her words soft screams were heard for one second before they died down. "A creature made of strange crystal huh" Della looked towards the frozen land. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It''s been a week since the king has turned the elves into a new race ice elves, the elves called him king, at first he did not know what that word meant, so he asked Gorluin the male elf that had the courage to speak to him and a father to Freya, explained to him what king meant that it was someone who leads and rules over people, the king did not understand it completely but he accepted it as he saw no harm in it. The first thing the ice elves did was find a suitable place where they would make their dwellings and build a new town, they found such a place, a large clearing surrounded by mountains on all sides except for one entrance. The male elves worked tirelessly to make some houses out of wood for the beginning, they were no longer afraid of the cold weather of the frozen land, in fact, they enjoyed it now that they have changed but still they could not just sleep on the snow and ice. The little children like Freya all enjoyed playing with the big crystal giant, the children would often get scolded by their parents and then they would apologize to the king, but he actually didn''t mind it he enjoyed what he had now he was no longer a lone giant that nothing dared to approach. The king learned a lot from the ice elves about the world they lived in, they explained to him about the war of two sides that that continues since the beginning of time. They taught him about various kingdoms and races the ones that support the angels of light and the ones that sided with the demons of darkness. While he was having one of his casual talks with the ice elves elders Freya came to play with him, she once again asked to sit on his shoulder saying that the best place to sit was there, while she was having fun she asked the king for his name, which he responded to that he did not have one. "Then how about Cyros!" she smiled sweetly at him as she spoke. "Freya doesn''t be rude to the king!" the elders scolded Freya loudly. "Cyros I like it, my name shall be Cryos, yes it is a good name" the king spoke with a pleased voice. "Ahaha....yes it is a splendid indeed name!" the elders laughed and praised the name of their king. Cyros was sitting as usual on the ground little further than the elves homes because he was too big and he once aciddently destroyed one of the homes luckily no one was inside this happened thus the elves decided to build him his own house or better to say a temple. They were very quick at building his temple even faster than they built their houses it was nothing more than a bigger house but it was still a temple and home that the elves built for their new king, but Cyros still enjoyed walking and talking with the ice elves rather than being all alone in a temple. So he split a small part of his body same height as a normal elf, it was the same shape as the main body but only much smaller, and less powerful but still it was not weak, his main body slumbered in the newly built temple, while his mind was controlling the smaller one. Cyros walked down the street where the elves lived, all would greet him kindly, Freya was little sad that he was not as big as before but she found that sitting on the smaller Cyros shoulder is equally fun as well. Cyros noticed that some of the elves along with Gorluin, Freya''s father made strange looking tools when he asked about it they happily explained that the tools were called bows and arrows and that they were used for hunting and for killing. Cyros did not like the killing part, but he was not as ignorant as before he understood that they needed to defend themselves. The elves also learned that they could use and control ice magic, and they were really good at it, they tested it out on their newly made bows and arrows they coated the arrow heads with ice magic that turned it almost instantly, they fired at the dummy targets they made when the arrow pierced the dummy the wound that the arrow made was instantly turned to ice, if the arrow this that to the dummy what would it do to the living being? While they were still testing their new found power alongside Cyros one of the men came rushing in while yelling. "King Cyros, Gorluin! They are coming!" the man was screaming like he was crazy. Gorluin stopped him and asked him "Who is coming? Is it those damned bandits again!?" Gorluin asked with an angry voice as he yelled at the man. "No...not the bandits its the Woodland Kingdom soldiers!" the man yelled excitedly.
