《Resound and Shatter》 A Prelude to an unwritten path Mana is limitless fuel. Touching a sphere of water and a sphere of mana is atomically unique. The difference is explosive, one sphere of mana is nothing more than energy without ignition and reaction. Water with mana is the explosive part, one sphere the size of a basketball is enough to level a small hill. Imagine if that size was condensed to the size of a golf ball, a Mt. Fuji would be forced into dust. I am not going to tell you that fire, earth, wind, etcetera are elements, that¡¯s just stupid. Cobalt is an element while fire is just our constructs of perception along with any other matter. In the ¡°box¡±. EVERYTHING can be broken down. Contrary to thoughts about humans ruling ¡°supreme¡± and ever growing stronger, that does not happen too early in this prelude. This story begins much like how Earth began, primitive and kill to live. Mana exists, monster exists and the stereotype that humans are strong, dominant and invasive, is nonexistent. The fact that humans are weak has not changed. To my dismay they are at the bottom in this food chain, preyed on by all and allied by none including themselves. To survive long enough for intelligent humans to organize themselves is a miracle itself but no merit for applause. With their lack of ingenuity and fear they barely budged in food chain. 5 foot rats that once plagued them, were of less concern to their lives. This year marks point zero for human history as running around dying doesn¡¯t count. During the span of 30 years they began to learn the basics of shelter construction. This included hidden escape routes and pointy wood walls but lead to more problems as many monsters could breathe fire, the most basic being, volatil deers. Clothes came surprisingly after 50 years (running for your life does make you not care about being naked). Made from wool of reflection sheep, that basically do nothing but repeat body cycles and grow wool. For a time they couldn¡¯t harvest the defensive wool from reflection sheep due to their lack of intelligence and poor group collaboration skills however, the discovery of razors made from rat corpses at year 40 certainly helped our lack of intelligence. After 67 years a scouting party found the Living Sanctuary. Surrounded by the Illusion Forest and lined with natural fields of vegetables humans quickly settled in and became accustomed to their villages and towns. Being complacent they in time never set foot from their sanctuary. However, they were still the prey of intelligent monsters such as the lamia and themselves. Bandits became commonplace, as many filled by the greed that molds personality, joined the fun side. The innate discovery of magic within humans rapidly changed the structure of those human lives. Those bandits became mere fodder as they failed to understand the flaming pebbles of fireballs flung at them as they ran towards the Illusion Forest. Their screams never reached the pity of the citizens of towns and villages as the lost monsters within fed on their entrails. This is the start of our corruption. By year 79 blacksmiths were able to create weapons and armor from the natural resources found on weak monsters. Guards were assigned posts on the border of the Illusion Forest. After year 80 some guards pooled their money into forming an adventurer¡¯s guild, the very first. Along with the magic learned from adept mages, the ex-guards began to explore the Illusion Forest. Soon after, they retired and became teachers while issuing quests for commissions while charging a broker fee so they could keep the steady life. Humans continued to improve their lifestyle until the year 142 where improvement stagnated because of the ¡®Terror¡¯. Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. A creature so cruel and bloodthirsty it cares not to feed itself on the flesh of its prey. Rather it takes its time torturing the screams and pain out of them for the duration of 3 hours. In those 3 hours there is no one living in the Sanctuary that could stomach the cries of pain, the Terror¡¯s victims screamed. Once caught, the victim is inject with the poison of the Terror only to find they are not dying. But a brief moment of euphoria washes over them, only to disappear leaving the body only able to produce chemicals that cause negative emotions. Then it starts. To humans, the hors d''oeuvres before the main dish is the illusion of your life escaping the grasp of the Terror only to find your fears, phobias and worries all to come true. You survive through each one only to move onto the next. When you die from the shock that this ¡®life¡¯ gives, A new one starts anew, there is no death in these 3 hours. The main dish, the Terror pierces the spinal cord and connects to your brain. No pain is felt until the memory erasing starts. With precision and accuracy, it makes you relive those memories while erasing them. ¡°That special feeling of oblivion ahh.¡± Dessert is served with regret. The Terror pulls out of the spinal cord after planting its surprise. With soulless eyes the human goes back to the Sanctuary, no monsters attack for fear of becoming the Terror¡¯s next victim. Having gone through the Sanctuary¡¯s illusions, the human finds itself going towards the one(s) that it cares for. It wakes remembering the life it had amidst the pools of blood that once were the one(s) it cared for. For a good while no one dared ventured out of the Sanctuary. Against humans¡¯ better judgement, adventurers once again flourished. Greed overshadowed the Terror, as news of wagon loads bearing treasure were brought back by Klaine Gaust, a beginner adventurer. His lucky find of a monster¡¯s stash awarded him with many resources that he promptly sold to attain wealth. Klaine retired and married Lauren an attractive envy of the sanctuary. He could not imagine her, a wife of twenty long faithful years, to be anything more than his grace. His adoring charm and wife. His illusion was shattered after he overheard Lauren talking about leaving him with all his money. He had married a gold digger. Devastated he divorced Lauren and locked himself in his mansion only allowing essentials through. He soon died from heartbreak and left behind his wealth to the adventurer¡¯s guide on one condition. The enactment of the Gaust code, ¡°Go as far as your legs can¡¯t handle and live as long as you can¡¯t. These are our ever-growing strengths, far beyond the weapon you hold and the armor you don. See the stars of many skies and find your treasure to bring home, as you one day will come. In victory of satisfaction or the rainfall given to those who have failed, to end in coffins. Experience the odyssey till death do us end.¡± This is the boom of adventurers, their numbers rose to the thousands while only few became successful others joined human fueled internal massacres until the year 301. 90% of the Earth is mapped, towns become cities, the seas are vicious without end and the idea of an adventurer(s) are adorn with glory, hardships and reward. For my character he is weak to no end, he has shared the pain and hatred of the preyed, and lies dying across Steps to Heaven. His name is Sen Dencrof the future Solomon the Sound. Chapter 1 Introductions part 1 Chapter 1 Introductions part 1 The intensity of the sun¡¯s beams pierce through the horizon as the sun sets. Light falls short of a boy near death with his back against the worn brick walls of Steps to Heaven. This is the most popular bar where adventurers come to relax after their escapades. No one takes a second look as they enter through the metal door. Surrounded by yesterday¡¯s leftovers and weeks of peanuts, in a tattered dirt blanket. Frozen in isolation, dying from hunger, hyperthermia and set to die. He waits for the darkness to engulf him. Night finally takes his vision, his senses, his suffering. He hears his heart slow to a stop, then the rush of warmth and comfort surrounding the darkness.

The striking pain in my body is gone, but another pain stabs, as my hand grips my necklace and I remember the days of running away. To anywhere else. The door to my left opens, a man with night black razored hair parted to his right comes in. He sits down on the chair next to me. I hear the distinct crunch of his shirt and pants as he sits back. He just sits there. Having said nothing, I reply sardonically with my deepest desire. ¡°I want to die.¡± The ringing in my head has started again all the sounds of the world come flooding. Including the man¡¯s. He is not shocked, much more annoyed as I hear the bramble of his thoughts. ¡°Look here kid if you want to die that¡¯s fine by me, but an annoying butcher saved your life and if you die now I¡¯m going with you.¡± His fierce green eyes catch my attention as he rises ¡°So until I¡¯m safe away from him, you¡¯re not dying until I do.¡± ¡°You¡¯re not dying until I do? That¡¯s just bad grammar mister delinquent. Don¡¯t you mean until you die?¡± He stands up and shamefully crouches in a corner using his finger to draw imaginary circles. I can hear him murmur ¡°It¡¯s not my fault I can¡¯t do speaking. It¡¯s not like I had a pick of teachers growing up. I should go die in an alley like a beggar.¡± Daaammmnn, so pessimistic so fast. ¡°Nkot get off the floor you¡¯ll get it dirty!¡± ¡°Yes mas- Jackal.¡± I turn back towards the door with the ringing fading to see a two meter man wearing an apron and Jason mask with two cleavers. Blood ran down his apron in puddles. This is way worse than dying in the streets, not a moment¡¯s lapse I run towards the open window and jump. I look down and see I¡¯m the third floor, bye cruel world see you never again. Only I never hit the ground.
Nkot¡¯s view Both me and Jack synchronize our surprise ¡°Eh?!¡± as he jump out the open window. I follow and swim dive to catch him before I receive any more punishments from Jack. Catching up I grab his arm and open the IVY. A space where the laws of mass stop for the first few seconds. Limited to the use of being a storage space as it can only stop these laws for items. Thankfully my target item was the bed I stored in the IVY for those uncomfortable long trips. ¡°Were you not joking when you said you wanted to die?¡± ¡°Mister delinquent I never meant that, what I did mean by (I want to die), was the embodiment of the annoying sounds outside.¡± ¡°Shut up, you¡¯re a real pain you know.¡± Jackal¡¯s going to make me wash the dishes again. ¡°You¡¯re worried about washing dishes mister? But the outside gives me migraines so much I want to die.¡± ¡°For sure?¡± ¡°Yeah.¡± He releases me from his scarred arms and I stand look around the white space with the slight glow of weapons, armor and whatever there is. It looked like the inside of a mental isolation room. ¡°How come all the items glow mister?¡± ¡°It¡¯s a property of the IVY, anything that is an object is immediately assigned a glowing light property and is organized by what I want. Pretty convenient right?¡± ¡°Hmm, why aren¡¯t we glowing then?¡± ¡°Weren¡¯t you listening kid, all OBJECTS are assigned, we¡¯re not objects. We¡¯re alive and the inventory recognizes that, well it¡¯s more complicated than that as I have Possesives.¡± ¡°Possesives?¡± ¡°In a way they¡¯re alive inside their container. Here, like this one.¡± He picks up a plunger looking mace glowing red. ¡°This mace has the embodiment of Split the Vengeance, who died in a fall when he tried to climb the wall separating the bath house between women and men. Rumors say the women caught him and mutilated him in the most despicable of places. He¡¯ll tell you otherwise though.¡± He motioned for me to touch it but I could already hear the rambling cover Split was spouting. ¡°I didn¡¯t die that way, I went into battle and died gloriously trying to slay a dragon. Don¡¯t listen to him kid, why would I, Split the Vengeance lie about the way I died.¡± That¡¯s obvious! You couldn¡¯t stand the humiliation and tarnish to whatever reputation you had. While making this face ._. I replied with disbelief, ¡°Suurree whatever you say.¡± You don¡¯t believe me do you, I¡¯ve been around long enough to see sarcasm. I walk away from the plunger and walk over to a sealed long container, along the sides were what looked like sealing arrays designed to sustain the seals from whatever mana the item inside gives off. Before I walk away, I hear the faint but noticeable whisper of the object. ¡°Open the box. Destroy the seals and you will have your wishes fulfilled. Destroy, destroy, destroy the seals, set me free and I will grant your desires.¡± Chapter 3 Introductions part 3 Chapter 3 Introductions part 3 ¡°Stupid box, wishes are for kids¡ and idiots.¡± ¡°HOW DARE YOU MOCK THE GREAT HOLE!¡± ¡°Am I really? You have to admit that¡¯s mostly your fault with a name like The Great Hole.¡± ¡°THE GREAT HOLE SHALL DESTROY YOU!¡± The box shook and glowed a nightshade blue, but the seals held and drain the mana that was seeping out. ¡°I¡Will¡be¡.set¡.free.¡± ¡°Keep hoping you idiotic box.¡± ¡°Kid would you stop antagonizing the weapon of massacres, it was already annoying when they were out and about possessing idiots and killing.¡± ¡°Stop calling me kid mister delinquent, my name is Sen, thanks for asking!¡± ¡°SO, this little bat¡¯s name is Sen hmm, any last name?¡± ¡°Shouldn¡¯t you tell me yours first?¡± ¡°Fine, my is Nkot Kizukai the 12th member of E.M.P.¡± ¡°E.M.P., what¡¯s that an underground smuggling ring?¡± ¡°No dipshit, it stands for Explore Memory¡¯s Price.¡± ¡°Then you¡¯re con artist then?¡± Mister delinquent starts to color a crimson red when he answers back ¡°No we venture the world to make money! It¡¯s better if Jack explains it to you.¡± He grabs me by the waist as he reopens the entrance his inventory, just outside of a building with the big letters E.M.P. There was no entrance to the building as he walked in. ¡°Hey Jack I think you scared this kid off with your cooking apron!¡± That was a cooking apron!? ¡°Really Nkot? Cause I haven¡¯t noticed, I¡¯m too busy carving your coffin.¡± (-.-) I could tell he was not sarcastic about the coffin as I listened to their conversation. ¡°Don¡¯t be like that, you know I didn¡¯t open that window. How was I going to know he would jump?¡± Nkot puts me down as he plans to run away in his head. ¡°Oh really, I distinctly remember you opening the window last night for some fresh air, did you close it after!?¡± ¡°That¡¯s not important, Sen¡¯s awake now that¡¯s the most important thing right now.¡± ¡°I beg to differ!¡± Mr. Jack Remming was cracking his knuckles while walking slowly towards Nkot. While my stomach growled in this tense situation. ¡°Um Mr. Jack I¡¯m hungry, do you have any food?¡± With a smiling face Mr. Jack answers ¡°Sure I¡¯m cook something right after I bury Nkot in the ground.¡± ¡°Will that take long?¡± ¡°No not at all.¡± ¡°Hey Sen shouldn¡¯t you be defending me, I am the one that saved you.¡± I roll my eyes at that, sure you could. ¡°Really? I distinctly remember Mr. Jack casting the healing spell though.¡± ¡°Lying to kids now Nkot? A coffin is too good for you, straight into the ground you go.¡± Nkot tries to run but trips on the butcher knife Mr. Jack left on the ground, he picks up Nkot by the skull and walks out the front to bury him in the dirt near the road, headfirst of course. He walks back in and heads toward the kitchen. ¡°Now I am cooking you something to eat, what would you like?¡± ¡°Um can you make fusilli lunghi with tomato soup?¡± Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.¡°I sure can, but boy I haven¡¯t made that in a long time.¡± He turns to take out the pot for the pasta and the tomatoes from, surprisingly a refrigerator and the cupboards. ¡°Who¡¯s Phalie?¡± Mr. Jack drops a pan onto the floor as he heard that name and turns with a surprised dark look. ¡°Where did you hear that name?!¡± His face being all serious and scary I decided to just tell him the truth. ¡°You were just thinking about him so I just asked. Please stop being scary Mr. Jack.¡± ¡°Hahahahaha, so you can read minds what an interesting boy, you found Nkot.¡± Mister delinquent wiped the dirt off from his tunic and hair before he came in. ¡°Like I said those stupid envoys shoved this problem onto me, for ten years! I didn¡¯t want this!¡± ¡°But the reward should be incredible right? Maybe you can finally pay off your debt with me.¡± ¡°The reward says one wish, but I don¡¯t trust one bit what they want me to see.¡± ¡°One Wish! Ha, you would be better off with money, we both know the cost of such things all too well.¡± An awkward silence seeped into the setting and only the tomato soup and pasta broke the dead mood. ¡°Here, eat up Nkot is cleaning the dishes anyway.¡± Soup had a glimmering surface and the fragrance of green leaves wafted off the crimson color while the pasta looked just as appealing with the gold sheen. ¡°It¡¯s delicious Mr. Jack, I thought the taste would be more barbaric because you know Nkot.¡± ¡°Hey just because I know this dunce head over here doesn¡¯t mean I can¡¯t cook tasteful things, don¡¯t compare me to someone who turns caviar into bland sand.¡± ¡°He¡¯s that bad at cooking Mr. Jack? Thanks for warning me, I would have took an obligatory meal if he cooked and that would have been the end of me.¡± ¡°I¡¯m still here you know, don¡¯t talk like I¡¯m not in the room.¡± I look around and see Nkot in a corner drawing circles in the porcelain tiles hugging his knees like an idiot. ¡°So what is E.M.P. Mr. Jack?¡± ¡°Oh stop with the formalities, call me Remming.¡± ¡°Ok Remming, Nkot couldn¡¯t explain E.M.P well so I¡¯m confused.¡± ¡°E.M.P., is an acronym for Explore Memory¡¯s Price. The Explore signifies the expeditions we go on to map the world. Memory and Price go hand and hand, as we sell what we record on these expeditions according to the price valued by the Grimnoire. The Grimnoire is that book over there on that pedestal.¡± He points to a blank book shrouded in night black on a golden pedestal. ¡°How does it pay you? Does it just take your memories? Can any old memory suffice?¡± ¡°Slow down, I¡¯m getting to that. There are two options in selling your memories, 1 is direct sale where it indeed takes your memories and replaces the lost memories with dreams so not to cause any mental problems. While you¡¯re doing that you must be sleep for the same time that the memory goes on. Second is copy sale, where it just copies your memories without repercussion. The money comes from¡I don¡¯t really know where the money comes from, but I assume it¡¯s from the buying of memories.¡± ¡°Buying memories! It can let you do that?!¡± ¡°It¡¯s safe to say that the price is determined by the need for the memory and that if the Grimnoire doesn¡¯t have what you seek it can¡¯t sell it to you. As for the significance of the memory it doesn¡¯t matter, the Grimnoire takes any memory that you¡¯re willing to sell but the price will always be different.¡± ¡°Amazing! Remming, what about selling mine?¡± A deep fallen dark preface took over him as he ask, remembering the pain in years of his memories. ¡°I wouldn¡¯t, but you can¡¯t since you¡¯re not a member of E.M.P. I¡¯m also guessing you want to join?¡± Seeing the shining eyes beyond the hazel mantle of Sen¡¯s eyes, he could understand that Sen could not be persuaded away. Chapter 4 Introductions End Chapter 4 Introductions End Jack scoffed a little at Sen¡¯s eagerness to lose his memories, but like him he could understand a shred if not more of what Sen went through before Nkot and before he became alone. ¡°I¡¯ll stop you right there, joining E.M.P. is no simple or easy matter. And I for one won¡¯t let you join until all 12 of our members accept your strength.¡± ¡°If there can¡¯t be compromise then when do you think I will be ready?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know, I became a member after one year when I was 19 and Nkot became one in 3 so whatever strength you put in will shorten the time certainly.¡± Whatever strength I have¡ ¡°Are you done with him Jack? I need some guardian time with my bundle of joy.¡± Jack nodded twice and turned to wash the dishes or more so throw them in a dishwasher than wash. Nkot, not surprisingly grabbed me by the shirt and jumped on the roof of the building. He sat down on the maroon shingles and stared at the setting sun, not one word was spoken as he gaze and I joined him in curiosity and appreciation of dusk. When the horizon became a cascade of orange to purple, stars pierced through the blackening sky and with each new light became the number of moments I would live again as Sen Dencrof. Sen¡¯s Dream? I woke up in shock, in an unfamiliar place. This was not E.M.P., again, it¡¯s happening again. A dream that doesn¡¯t feel like a dream, but a memory not mine but mysteriously familiar. The bed is metallic, the floor is too, where am I? Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.¡°Commander we are under attack!¡± Sen¡¯s view shifted again showing him a elliptical command center with at least a crew of 20. ¡°Ready the destabilizers and fire at will!¡± It¡¯s some sort of ship, who is attacking? Why is this voice so similar to mine? ¡°Commander! We can¡¯t stay like this, we are surround and more are coming out of the warps.¡± ¡°Tch, I can¡¯t get any sleep these days. Prep unit CRACKLE and standby with unit CATASTROPHE, I¡¯m stopping this pirate raid.¡± Sen¡¯s vision shifted again, this time there is only a blur and the feeling of nausea hitting him. Too fast what¡¯s happening, I can only see bright flashes of light. Wait it stopped. ¡°Whew that was a workout. So many pirates, thank stupidity I didn¡¯t need to use CATASTROPHE. That would just be too much paperwork to submit to the Galactic United.¡± ¡°Commander Sen what should we do with the scrap metal?¡± ¡°Jerry do you still need to ask me, you¡¯ve been on this ship for 6 months now, you should know.¡± ¡°I know but it doesn¡¯t hurt to ask, what if you had something else in mind?¡± ¡°Jerry if I could facepalm in this SPARTASuit I would 100 percent do it because of your stupidness.¡± ¡°Commander a CLEANER just appeared on the radar should we run?¡± ¡°Damn it Jerry I said you were stupid not a coward but you had to prove me wrong did ya. Deploy CATASTROPHE, we¡¯re here in space for a reason and that¡¯s to take the CLEANERs¡¯ job and wipe them into extinction!¡± SPARTASuit? CLEANERs? And why is the commmander¡¯s name Sen? ¡°Sen, Sen, SEN! Wake up we¡¯re starting your training.¡± Chapter 5 A Five Year Gap part 1 Chapter 5 A Five Year Gap part 1 Sweat dripped from Sen¡¯s eyes as he ran against the sky, that¡¯s right, against the sky. He was vertically running as a morning exercise of the third phase of Nkot¡¯s training. He no longer thought Nkot teaching was bullshit , more like JEDS, jewel encrusted dragon shit, but it worked¡most of the time. Sen had five more minutes to finish his run and start swordplay training with Nkot, which he did not want to do at all. ¡°Damn why the hell am I only halfway there?¡± With another meter into the sky he broke past clouds and stopped, letting himself freefall down. This was his favorite part of the morning, arms outstretched the wind past his skin and hair was worth the JEDS of this training. On his way down he could hear nothing but the wind and muddled sounds pass. 3 km from the ground Sen releases an intense sound to stop his descent and drop into E.M.P¡¯s courtyard in the back of the building. But not one person could hear the sound of Sen landing and the grass parting way as the frequency was not in the range of human hearing. Acoustic Levitation, a concept that applied to equalizing the gravity to zero and allowing at least small objects to ¡®levitate¡¯. Sen was not small however, 5¡¯ 10¡¯ and still possibly another inch in another year his height would cap out to 5¡¯ 11¡¯ and with his current weight of 183 slowing down was not easy. ¡°When did you learn that?¡± ¡°Nkot, if I told you, you still wouldn¡¯t understand. You muscle for brains.¡± ¡°Try me, Doctor Dicksen¡± ¡°When are we starting the sword training?¡± ¡°Not going to tell me eh? Whatever, today we¡¯re not sticking to the schedule and your meeting the 7th member of E.M.P. today.¡± ¡°Oh, you sold me out for 200.000 Res am I that cheap?¡± ¡°Oh would you stop reading my mind it¡¯s an invasion of my privacy¡± If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. ¡°Well when am I meeting Enmare?¡± ¡°Right now he is in the kitchen eating away at Jack¡¯s cooking.¡± Sen began walking towards the door that led to the kitchen and found that an immense pile of dishes piled up blocked the door. ¡®That¡¯s a lot of food, what kind of person eats this much? I should use the front door then.¡¯ Going back to the courtyard, he concentrated the air and burst into the sky. Doing a flip turning towards the entrance he kicked the air once, then a second time to land at the entrance. Walking inside he could see the new dishes pile up around the broad back giant, at a height of 6¡¯ 6¡¯ the dishes piled still couldn¡¯t cover half of this blacksmith. ¡°Gou nus beh Sen, hwol on won noment.¡± As he tried to talk with his mouth full of paella he ate the last of it on his plate and drank some wine to clear his throat. ¡°I¡¯ve wanted to meet you when I heard Nkot talking about how he gained a capable discipline.¡± ¡°I¡¯m probably the only discipline since he can¡¯t teach.¡± ¡°Hahaha right you are, that Nkot couldn¡¯t teach without say boom or sha-bing in his explanations. You must have natural talent to be able to survive his brute force training.¡± I read his swing at my neck and stepped back, a centimeter too close for comfort. ¡°Do you really need to test me? I guess Nkot¡¯s opinion doesn¡¯t mean much in reality. I¡¯ll have to refuse becoming your discipline too.¡± ¡°You really can read minds too huh, a shame that you refused training under me too.¡± ¡°Well I already know blacksmithing and earth and wind magic I can easily learn without you.¡± ¡°What? Already a blacksmith? You haven¡¯t even touched a forge since you¡¯ve been training with Nkot, that¡¯s improbable!¡± ¡°It would be easier to show you in your forge than tell you so how about we go now?¡± ¡°Easy enough let''s go then.¡± Opening his IVY, a rainbow light cascaded over the sunlight in the room and they both entered Enmare¡¯s furnace. Chapter 6 A Five Year Gap part 2 Chapter 6 A Five Year Gap part 2 Instantly the heat activated my sweat glands, Enmare¡¯s forge is no oven. A massive walk in furnace, countless hammers further lined along the front of the furnace, an anvil. Precisely a human sized crimson diamond anvil, ¡°Blood Bringer of Seas¡± in this world there is only one. Such a rare object yet Enmare uses it as an anvil. ¡°Haaa hua hahaha, I never thought it would be here, truly a twist for the beginning.¡± Before Enmare could speak I replied ¡°I¡¯m fine, just a little excited.¡± Taking a glance over the various ingots, I decided to go with an alloy and forge a ring. Taking 30 ingots of tungsten and 10 of cobalt I reached the aisles of hammer and picked the darkest one. Pitch night black with translucent flowing liquid lines outlining handle and head. Enmare stayed silent and I began. I consolidated a mold out of carbon taking the shape of a box hollow on the inside and big enough to contain a sedan¡¯s tire. This was only the part of the ring. Using energy arts the tungsten melted, after the cobalt became liquid then everything went into the mold. This was the skill portion of the ring, lining atoms of tungsten and cobalt into hexagons that curve justly, creating an impossible frictionless surface. Only this was the beginning, all the while Enmare watched confused and predominantly fury began to build. For not using the hammer was an insult to Enmare¡¯s profession, there was less of a trace of blacksmithing done than stitching without needle and thread. Sizzling, the mold began breaking apart, not because it couldn¡¯t take the heat but it was never meant to be a mold in the first place. The ring¡¯s hot metal diffusing heat started changing to grey. Then black stains grew and reformed into lines circling the ring. More and more the lines disappeared from view and a pure black ring formed the second stage of completion. Third stage was possession. Imbuing properties onto the ring, giving meaning to the circuits and hexagons that would create ¡°Gates Between Earth¡± a ring unparalleled by others before. While the last two stages took 40 minutes in total, the last stage lasts 3 hours. Compressing the tire sized ring required three things; mana, ability possession and skill. Ability possession just means, to be able to craft items with ¡®skills¡¯ called properties the crafter themselves would have to have that skill or be capable of. Skills of the crafter must be able to provide appropriate vessel and power of properties for the items. None of these would matter if there was not enough mana to synchronize vessel and skill. You could say the best crafters are jacks of all skills but there will always be someone better. The best part of life is to see how far you¡¯ve changed to be satisfied Crafters live like this. Emitting a black heat, Sen continues with the last stage; 1 skill..3¡.up to the last, 7 skills was Sen¡¯s current limit. Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! ¡°Use the hammer to break the ring.¡± exhausted Sen finally said his last word and slumped beside ¡®Blood Bringer of Seas¡¯, sleeping the through the day. Break the ring? Is that the only reason why he chose this hammer? This hammer being one of his best creations use to break a ring ¡°Hahahahhah this challenge¡challenge accepted!¡± Chapter 7 A Five Year Gap part 3 Chapter 7 A Five Year Gap part 3 ¡°Since you¡¯re confident in this ring there is no need to hold back.¡± Enmare clasp the ring onto a clamp that also grabbed the anvil and drew the hammer in an arc. ¦£¦Á¦Ó¦Ç¦Å¦Ñ ¦É¦Í ¦Ï¦Í¦Å, ¦Â¦Å¦Ö¦Ï¦Ì¦Å ¦Ã¦Ñ¦Á?¦É¦Ó¦× ¦Á¦Ã¦Á¦É¦Í¦Ò¦Ó ¦Á¦Ë¦Ë. ¦¢¦Å ¦Ó¦Ñ¦Ô¦Å ¦Ó¦Ï ¦Á¦Ë¦Ë ¦Å¦Í¦Ä¦Ò ¦Ó¦Á¦Ê¦Å ¦Á¦Í¦Ä ¦Ã¦É?¦Å, ¦Ì¦× ¦Ì¦Á¦Í¦Á ¦Õ¦Ï¦Ñ ¦Ó¦Ç¦Å ¦Õ¦Ï¦Ñ¦Ö¦Å ¦Ó¦Ç¦Á¦Ó ¦Â¦Ñ¦Å¦Á¦Ê¦Ò ¦Á¦Ë¦Ë. BreakPoint Unlimited! Magic Runes condensed into the form of a cone forming rich layers of earthen and misty mana. The hammer came down, nothing but the grind of the clamp that held it in place could be heard. It did not break. ¡°No! Improbable the ring should be broken! My strongest attack amounted to nothing, able to part waves, mountains and the very earth itself but not this?¡± You win boy, but you still have to tell me how you did it, I won¡¯t take this against the wall. The ring in hand and Sen over his shoulder Enmare walked into the cold dusk with a new fire to his eyes. Jackal¡¯s view ¡°Nkot are you really going to wish for that!?¡± ¡°Who is going to stop me Jackal! The Envoys? It¡¯s their reward and I¡¯m halfway through. This is the only way I can repay Phalie.¡± ¡°It¡¯s not your fault, he even said so with his last breathe and now you¡¯re going to risk your life he saved for this! He wouldn¡¯t be happy and she wouldn¡¯t be happy either.¡± ¡°You can¡¯t change the fact that five years from now I will ask for her life back at the risk of mine no one can change that, it is my fate!¡± Leaving only a step of dust behind Nkot left the soundproof walls of E.M.P. going to who knows where (to a tavern). Hearing the clog of Enmare¡¯s boots I put that matter into the back of my mind, Sen doesn¡¯t need to know. ¡°What happened?¡± ¡°He pushed himself too hard, don¡¯t worry he¡¯s just sleeping.¡± ¡°What made him like this?¡± Holding up a black ring I couldn¡¯t understand. ¡°What would that be?¡± ¡°Quite possibly indestructible, and probable much more to it than I could tell. I tried my strongest move, you know the one that I used to capsize that island? Didn¡¯t have a scratch on it, just made the thing move from the clamp.¡± Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. ¡°Even BreakPoint Unlimited couldn¡¯t do anything?¡± What on Ocean did Sen just create? ¡°What is it suppose to do?¡± ¡°Don¡¯t know. He passed out before he could say anything else. For sure it¡¯s near indestructible.¡± ¡°Like the Grimnoire¡¯s level of indestructible?¡± ¡°That is a different kind of indestructible. That thing made by the Envoys is ridiculous, nothing besides them could make something that broken.¡± "So the ring is inferior to the Grimnoire. Hmm." "Don''t think too much about it, the disparity is always there when we compare our understanding to them." "I know but where did he find the time to learn blacksmithing?" "Blacksmithing! Pffftt that ain''t blacksmithing, what he does is much broader and even harder to master. That is the scale of crafting." "What''s the difference ?, forget I even asked you have your specialties I have mine." "Hahahahha that''s right and mine sure does pay higher than your cooking." "Who still pays me 100,000,000 Res a plate?" "...I surrender, don''t raise the price." "150,000,000 a plate now." "Come on I was only joking, didn''t I make you that chopping board that you needed because you kept breaking them?" "That you did, so it''s 200,000,000 a plate now." "WHY is it even higher now, come on Jackal my wallet is crying tears of blood here." "I''m not forcing you to buy so many plates." "Fine fine." At least I''ll get an answer on how he has such crafting skill when he wakes up. Chapter 8 Five Year Gap End

There once was a boy who met a girl. Oh man monologue. At the divide between a customer and merchant, was not looking ahead while she kept looking for that someone. He only thought for the next few minutes this will be another stranger never to meet again, as most of his customers that buy his weapons rarely return from the wilderness. Yes Yes get on with it she returns blah blah blah. She returned. ughhhhgghghh ¡°Would you like to join me for a drink?¡± asked the girl. ¡°Sorry but I don¡¯t drink.¡± replied the boy ¡°How about dinner with me as an apology?¡± ¡°So bold straight to dinner. But sorry I have to leave this evening. How about my mail address so you can apologize later?¡± Then there was this awkward stare into each other eyes as she handed him the address on a piece of parchment. He was thinking those are beautiful eyes, not blue or green or an other color but the brown that are the same as mine ¡°Those are beautiful eyes.¡± And she! She was thinking is he the one? Both them were enthralled by the others gaze. And she blushed pink leaving him embarrassed for how long he had been staring. I know this ends badly why isn¡¯t there a fast forward option? He forgot about the a lot of things at that moment, things that he always knew were true but always had to experience first hand to feel.
