《Traveler's Standing》 Chapter 0: Prologue The average life of a high schooler wake up, take shower, eat breakfast, brush teeth, take classes, eat lunch, more classes, entertain self, eat dinner, brush teeth, go to sleep and repeat. Blaike Douglas a thin, dark eyed high schooler that goes through this same routine everyday not thinking that it would end had gone to school took his English, Math, Science, and History went to home taking care of his small house garden and doing chores, to have his view changed only a day later. After all his classes ended a he went to get all his things like his charger, pencils, papers, and book bag when a bright column of light burst through the floor surrounding him and his things. Then it hit him, a pain as bad as what getting hit by a sludge hammer would be like, and a drowsiness set in almost immediately after with the brief sight of four others appearing near him as he went unconscious. Chapter 1: The Arrival Blaike woke up in an environment he had never seen before with 4 others that seemed to be around his age next to him asleep and a group of eight people in different colored robes surround him and the other high schoolers. As he was getting a grip on what was happening pain from everywhere started to pierce his body causing headaches, lose of breath, and even his muscles being sore. Two blue screen popped up in front of him causing an expression full of pain to turn to confusion. " You have gained two Titles ''Summoned'' and ''World Traveler'' do to being brought to another world not of your own will." ¡°Do to gaining the ''World Traveler'' Title please choose between Obtain Unique Skill or Double a stat" Blaike could slightly suppress the head splitting pain allowing him to get up long enough to receive a bottle full of a liquid that looks like milk saying some incomprehensible language, while signaling to drink it. Doing as he was told told feeling most of the pain to seemingly seep out of him and without the pain disrupting his thoughts he chose to "Obtain unique Skill". Almost immediately after pressing it another screen appeared and one of the unconscious people woke up with a slightly pained expression, but mostly full of shock as to where he had gone. "The Unique Skill obtained by the Title ''World Traveler'' is [Upgrade], please use it well." After the screen disappeared Blaike felt a sudden burst of understanding of some of the skill''s basic functions like imbuing, and analyzing and he wanted to test out the analysis part of the skill, but the basics he got didn''t serve to help him in this endeavor as it only informed that the skill had these functions. So he could only wait as the people in robes seemed to discuss something, that didn''t some to make much sense other than how they may want the five high schoolers to somehow do something to help them, and the other three would wake up. These strange events kept happening as the others woke up and reacted in a way similar to how the first boy did and also soon seeing their own invisible screens. The group of other high schoolers have been mostly discussing between themselves about different things for a way to distract them from the current situation and calm them, but the conversation would always go to how they got here or who the robed people were. In the end of the conversation the groups had the red robed lady started to talk with hand gestures with the language [Enlin] to try to get the group to understand. Upon this request bey the red robed lady the four who woke up after Blaike shot up with the feeling that they truly needed to help the robed figures while Blaike himself felt that he needed learn as much of the language as fast as possible to properly understand these robed people.After the speech from the red robed one the rest started to also speech, but much quicker making it impossible to understand for the five high schoolers and upon realizing they weren''t understood they stopped to pull large books out of each of their robes. The five closes figures gave theirs to the high schoolers signaling for them to open them. With the new books now open another , at this point annoying, blue screen came up in-front of Blaike. "Do to possessing a dictionary for the [Enlin] language the upgrade skill can take the dictionary and convert it into the [Enlin] Skill. Would you like to do so?" In response to this blue screen he muttered " ya that''d be nice." and with the last word said the book in his had started to dissipate into dust and light being put into his forehead blanking him out. With that happening the other four looked in shocked along with multiple of the robed figures looking as if they had just found a treasure. All this caused the yellow figure to spit out in surprise "Something like this has never happened before!" causing the blanked Blaike to look surprised, even more than the four who were also previously unconscious, saying in [Enlin] "what did you say!?". Everyone staring at the yellow figure and Blaike until the silence settled and the black robed interrupted it with a cough then "Since we have an interesting one let''s have him translate while we move to the next phase". The rest of the figures nodded then the black one continued "since it seems like the rest of you don''t quite understand us yet, please can you translate that we will have you make contracts with some animals of our continent to better assist with living here" Processing all that had just occurred Blaike translated for them with a blank mind as the rest took in what was being said. Once again a silence rose only stopping when when the blue figure stepped back toward the exit that had seemingly just appeared before everyone. Chapter 2: Pet Contracts The large passageway leading out of the Summoning Room went to a large glade with pedestals in the grass of the clearing holding crystals of all different colors and a clear stone on each. The group being lead by the blue robed individual told the summoned ones "each of you grab one of the clear stones, close your eyes focusing on the stone, then tell us what you see" which was translated by Blaike who tried to help the rest to decipher the [Enlin] language so he wouldn''t need to constantly translate for them. After they all get to their own stones they closed their eyes and focused the minds on the stones and with each emanating a uniquely colored light they saw what seemed to be instructions on how to keenly observe yourself and your surroundings. This gave the way for the summoned to learn the basic [Perception] skill, but it unfortunately wouldn''t grant Blaike with such a skill all it would do would be helping him to more precisely use the [Upgrade] skill. With everyone opening their eyes, seeing flashes of the colors in which they are aligned to, they are told to use the technique they were just shown by using it to tell them what the statistics of the summoned are. Using the technique of looking into the small details and putting the minds focus on his stats a red screen showed up describing his stats. "Do to learning a way to look at your status screen you can open it by concentrating and thinking the words ''status'' to open or close the screen." With the text in front of him, he did what it said in order to close it and with but a thought the red screen vanished. With all the stats told the blue robed one told the summoned ¡° pick up the crystals of matching colors to what your stone had shone and ask for your sacred beast to form a contract with you¡±. They each grabbed the couple of crystals matching the shone lights and requested for their ¡°sacred beasts¡± to contract with them, each person after making the request had a large monster appear in front of them up until Blaike did his. The other summoned had contracted with a manticore, hydra, raiju, and cerberus respectively will after each of their contacts a symbol appeared on the back of there left hand. The ¡°sacred beast¡± blaike contracted with was not one, but two and they were also very weak compared to the others being they were a slime and sprite. All the summoned beasts looked very obedient following the orders given to them to the tea. And with the display of the newly contracted beasts the figures brought out weaponry for all the summoned except blaike to use to ¡°help train their new pets¡± until he complained about it and they got a small log and quickly made a training sword for him. Soon after all of these happenings the robed figures started to try to teach everyone of the world they are in with the first subject being the language. They had Blaike translate until the rest got the [Enlin] skill and after a week of learning the basic language they started to tell the group about the world itself. The world is mostly made of mostly water but when the gods made it they also made 8 races to go with the 8 types of magic light, dark, fire, water, wind, ground, lightning, and gravity. With all of the races on the world the gods also brought monsters to contract or fight. The crystals used to contract the beasts were just developed to bring the monsters that is most aligned to to the user. And finally the Humia have had wars with the Doman and and each time no other race came to help so the Humia came to an ancient summoning ritual with low hopes that it would work but they got this group as the heros. With all the lessons the summoned had breaks to train skills or relax and chat. Blaike unlike the rest of his group didn¡¯t chat and relax with the rest of his group, he instead trained his [Upgrade] skill on his sword and with the fact of him having a slime pet he let loose any rage of having it and of being sent to another world on it. But after enough of the beatings the slime didn¡¯t die instead a blue screen popped up after the longest time since he got to this world startling him. ¡°Do to excessive damage to your slime¡¯s body its [physical resistance] has risen a rank¡± Chapter 3: Going to the Capital ¡°[Physical Resistance]? That sounds like a stat so I should be able to check it like my own, right?¡± He was trying to perceive the stats of his slime, being first time he tried it on another living being, And a red screen appeared showing stats other than his own. Res. : Copper Rank || ??? : ??? || ??? : ??? ¡°What are all these unnamed things¡± After saying that a blue screen came up again. "After finding multiple status screens you can now have free access to the discovered ones by joining them or leaving them separate." With all the confusion of the screens, he headed back to the classes describing the world taught by the figures who have started to declare they are ¡°great sages¡±, but with a thought of of the different status screens and him not seeing his titles even after being on this world for a week. The second half of the class had started without him and it seemed as though they weren¡¯t learning about the world, but instead combat against their pets. Blaike still thinking about his titles tried to understand his abilities better and see his titles like ¡®summoned¡¯. As he was checking his titles one of the ¡°great sages¡± saw he was there and told him to train with his pets to get more used to the way they can fight. This type of training kept happening day after day with the first half of the day being class and the second being combat. During the combat Blaike would often look at the power of the summoned and each of them had at least one title in common the ¡®Hero¡¯ title which seemed a bit strange that he never had that title even though he was brought with them to this world. All of the training and classes stopped after weeks of the constant routine with all of the ¡°great sages¡± and heroes leaving for the Humai capital. The path through the forest surrounding the cave that the ¡®heroes¡¯ were summoned from was dangerous compared to the glade they were training in for the past two months. Even though the path was more dangerous they traveled quickly do to the power of everyone being more powerful than the normal creature of the forest. They made it to the capital in only a few day. As they arrived the group of 13 went to the castle in the middle of the city where the king lived to meet him. Requesting an audience with the king was easy with the ¡°great sages¡± high status in the capital. The king was a large man that released the aura of a dignified warrior. He had the servant of the castle set up a feast, as soon as he was informed of the ¡°great sages¡± arrival, in anticipation to meet the heroes that would help his county in an upcoming war. Everyone''s arrival to the capital was grand and in the castle is was even more so causing the summoned to feel like they were treated a bit too well. With the feast and meeting of the king everyone in the group felt cheerful and at home with the kindness the people of this world had given them, except Blaike who thought it strange that the kings first reaction to heroes was to throw a feast. After everyone eat and the meals were put away the king started the discussion with the ¡°great sages¡± telling the heroes to let them have a moment to talk. The summoned group listened and left the to the courtyard where everyone¡¯s pets were being kept with the exception of the low powered ones such as slimes and horned rabbits. ¡°The heroes we summoned has grown very quickly allowing us to progress with the war plans. But there is one thing troubles us and that is that one hero is not responding quite as well to what we say than the others and we are also having trouble with seeing his statuses, though he does seem the weakest out of all of them.¡± Based on the progress of the training given by the ¡°great sages¡± to the king he brought the heroes back the hall they dined in to discuss matters further. ¡°Our wise sages told me of the quickness at which you are training so please show me the feats that you heroes can accomplish by participating in a run through a dungeon then bring back a treasure to show the destruction of it. But please only do so after spending some time in the castle and continuing your training with the sages and a proper swordsman.¡± After the quest given by the king the group left being guided by a ¡°lucky¡± servant to their rooms with other servants and nobles talking about the new group of heroes coming to help finally defeat the Domans. With the events of constantly being talked about and meeting the king the summoned were tired and as they arrived in the assigned rooms they went to sleep as soon as possible. As Blaike woke up there was a blue screen that he had not seen before going to sleep in front of his face next to his comfy slime pillow. ¡°Having been mistaken for someone or something that you are not over 100 times in 24 hours has earned you the title ¡®Deceiver¡¯.¡± ¡°100! How fast did news of the heroes arriving travel and is it because I don¡¯t have the hero title that I got this!?¡± Soon after Blaike woke up a servant came into his room to bring him to the dining hall for a meal then the group left for the knight¡¯s training yard with a person, the heroes and now deciever had never met before, waiting for them. Chapter 4: The Tunnel ¡°My name is Boaz Adaliah, I am the captain of the guarding wall. After today you do not need to remember that because I am not going to be that for you. I will be your swords instructor.¡±Said the bulky man in the knights¡¯ yard. ¡°Sir, before we start our training can we please look around the castle to get ourselves adjusted to the place? I mean do you want us to work in a place we aren¡¯t comfortable with?¡± The captain had a look of understanding as to what they said while the others looked in surprise at the one who spoke out, Blaike.The others had that look do to Blaike not speaking out so much that when he did speak his classmates would make comments like ¡°oooh, so the mute can speak.¡± or ¡°If he could speak his own mind why didn¡¯t he do that earlier.¡± After a moment the captain told some passing knight¡¯s to show the heroes around the castle even if it takes all day to get them more accustomed to it. The tour began with the yard going through the entire castle from the stables to the royal rooms ending after noon and missing the person who requested the tour itself. Blaike, who was lost, was currently in a short secret tunnel out of the castle when he saw a beautiful lady in leather padded armor coming his way. ¡°Uhm, Miss I don¡¯t know where I am can you help me?¡± The girl didn¡¯t realize that he was in the dark tunnel until he spoke shocking her. ¡°Sure, but can you tell me your name first.¡± ¡°My name is Blaike. Who are you?¡± ¡° you don¡¯t need to know, just follow me.¡± She said as she started to head back the way she came. Blaike followed her out of the castle trying to make small talk like ¡°I was getting a tour in the castle only to fall through a wall ending up here.¡± only to be locked out of a wall again. ¡°Sheesh who was she, and why was she so mean.¡± he said as he slowly walked through the capital around the castle. As he wandered he ended up at a slave market in the slums. ¡°Prove how strong you are to get a discount on a slave!¡± spoke one vender as Blaike walked by with his slime in his arms. Blaike only glanced at the slaves feeling sorry for the poor circumstances they have he asked ¡°how great of a discount I can get by doing your challenge¡± since he didn¡¯t have any money.The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. ¡°You get a discount as great as the challenge you select, but if you fail you have to pay to keep from being a slave. How ¡®bout it?¡± ¡°What is the 100% discount challenge?¡± As he said it the vender smiled like he hooked in a large fish. ¡°Oh, it¡¯s quite simple you just have your little pet there fight against 10 of my own ones by itself one after another.¡± pointing at the slime in Blaike¡¯s arms. Uncertain Blaike asked if he could interfere with the fights. ¡°No you can¡¯t interfere when the challenge is happening, but I will give you a slight chance by letting you do one thing with your pet between rounds.(not that it will help much.)¡± ¡°Okay I¡¯ll agree, but please give me time to prepare like a few days.¡± ¡°Fine.¡± the vendor said as he shooed Blaike away from the slaves. Blaike left back to the castle after the sun started to set since he thought it would be best if he stayed the night there. When he was noticed by the group of heroes they yelled and scolded him for disappearing and causing them to have an even worse first day of training than they expected. The next day the group trained in swordsmanship until they got interrupted one of the sages saying something about training the group in magic. The group got lead to one of the towers by the sage, but again Blaike left the group by going in the secret tunnel. Blaike exited the castle without his slime and towards the crafting section of town where the merchants, blacksmiths, and carpenters were. He to a blacksmith¡¯s shop to view the different items and gear they had as he heard the shop owner yelling ¡°get out of my shop we don¡¯t need someone as weak as you as an apprentice!¡± Blaike hearing this tried to stick up for the boy being yelled up. ¡°Sir, do you need to yell at him I think that he might at least be able to bring materials or sell your products for you¡± ¡°Oh, you hear this boys the weak are standing up for the weak please be my guest and show me how well you two weaklings can do helping us!!¡± ¡°Wait I didn¡¯t want to get involved in working. I just wanted to help him.¡± ¡°Well if you want to help him work for us for at least one day, if you don¡¯t you won¡¯t be helping him at all.¡± Blaike ended up working in the shop for the whole day with the blacksmiths and their apprentices, while his pets had their own fine time. Blaike¡¯s slime was playing with the hero¡¯s pets in the knight¡¯s field and not dieing with the games the hydra did of using it as a chewing toy or the raiju playing with it as a ball. The games the pets played with it would all kill weak creature showing how durable it was. Meaning the slime could take more hits than anything else at it normal strength. Blaike¡¯s other pet the Sprite followed the hero¡¯s to the magician¡¯s tower in order to conduct magic in a wa similar to the humans and compare it to the way natural to it. Magic to creature¡¯s of this world, is not something cast with words, but something cast with imagery and heart. Spells cast by sentient being that use word are often weaker than the true spell even though it is the more common method. Chapter 5: Improving Skill The day after the incident Blaike had come back do to promising the apprentice he helped that day. Blaike made his way through the the tunnels each day for a week helping the apprentice with delivering materials and watching the blacksmiths forge weapons. "Repeated observation and helping at the forge has resulted in you gaining the [Blacksmithing] skill." ¡°You can Improve your [Upgrade] skill by mixing the [Blacksmithing] skill into it would you like to do so?¡± Yes or No ¡°I don¡¯t know what kind of effect it will have on my actual skill, but it says [Upgrade] will be improved so ¡°Yes¡±.¡± As Blaike kept heading to the Smith¡¯s Shop he never went to training making him fall behind the ¡®heroes¡¯ in power, but he didn¡¯t mind that as he didn¡¯t want to be a combat oriented person he would prefer to be crafting or healing than being up front and killing others. Blaike also forgot about the Slave trader he met a week before. His pets did sometimes come with him to the shop though and they were able to help around effectively though it was odd seeing a sprite and slime moving blocks of iron around. When they weren¡¯t helping Blaike with the shop they were at the castle practicing with the ¡®heroes¡¯ making their power raise, though the magic taught by the sage was the basic chanting type it was still effective. The slime as of now is able to take hits from an enchanted sword by one of the ¡®heroes¡¯, but it does get wounded quite a bit by it, while the sprite is able to break all the spells cast to hit it making them great target practice for the ¡®heros¡¯. After the week was up Blaike had an improved [Upgrade] skill and wanted to test it out on one off his items, but he only has his clothes and a wooden sword. He thought about it in his room during the morning at the castle for a bit only to attempt at using the upgrade skill on it. Imbuing Cost:350 MP of Void element Presur Tree A tree that only grows in places of gravitational extremes Imbuing Cost:100 MP of Gravity element Looking at the costs of the different tree alignments and powers Blaike chose to go with the Equa tree as it would make the spells he cast by the most efficient at casting a variety of spells compared to the others that would overpower or underpower some spells. As he selected to upgrade the wood his sword was made of his mind started to fade and lines of white,Black, and purple began to seep out of him towards the the wood sword in front of him. In order to recover from the expenditure of his mana he closed his eyes and let his mind wander. By the time that he opened his eyes he was starving and the sun was setting making him hurry to the dining hall that normally was serving dinner at this time. The rest of the day went as it normally did with him delaying checking the sword until morning, but as he went to sleep a blue screen popped up. "Your pet ¡°sprite¡± as gained enough wisdom and time around your language to obtain the [English] skill. What would you like to name it?" ¡°Well you can understand me now can¡¯t you? So would Alan be a good name?¡± In reaction to hearing the name it thought about it only to accept it in the end. ¡° Okay since you like your name what about you ¡°Slime¡± what will your name by¡­? Ah, I got it it will be Satoru, how bout it do you like it?¡± The newly named ¡°Satoru¡± jumped in what seemed to be a happy manner so Blaike thought they accepted their new names and went to sleep. He woke up the next morning to see to naked little kids sleeping in his room and another blue screen open. "Do to extreme acceptance of the given names by their master and high levels of emotions your pets have gained a new ability [Humanization]." ¡°Wait, what the. How. Why the heck did my simple naming of them cause something like this to happen?-sigh-¡± Blaike got up soon after seeing them grabbing his sword and leaving to find a servant to get them some clothes. Blaike to care of them for the rest of the day and only was he able to check on his upgraded sword after Satoru and Alan calm down and adjusted to their new forms. Equa Sword 32/36 Durability 1 sharpness ¡°Wow the sword doubled in durability, but it did also lower the sharpness stat. Hm, how do I make it better. Do I go into carpentry or wood carving maybe?¡± The entire day was spent helping the two get used to their human forms and changing between forms as well. The next day Blaike spent his time looking for a carpenter wanting an apprentice only to find a small carpentry shop in the slums near the slave trading part of it. ¡°WELCOME!!! What wares do you want good sir?¡± ¡°Um, uh, that is I want to work for you for a short while to understand the feel of this job to see if it appeals to me mister.¡± ¡°Sure you can work for me but since it is only to learn the craft I want you to pay instead of me paying for you brat.¡± ¡°Fine I¡¯ll pay if it¡¯s a reasonable price but I don¡¯t have much at all.¡± ¡°I want 2 small Silvers for each day your are going to be working here and 5 big copper extra if you plan to sleep here as well.¡± Chapter 6: Gains ¡°Give me some time to get the money and i¡¯ll agree so please hold on to the deal.¡± Blaike said as he ran out of the shop to the castle¡¯s secret tunnel that finally allowed him access from the outside. As Blaike got back to the castle¡¯s training ground for knights he saw that the heroes were still training hard in order to protect the Humia from the Doman. He asked Boaz to lend him some money in order to help refine his skills in his own time, but he was dismissed as he never showed up for training so why would he do it better by himself without knowing the basics. Blaike and Boaz made a deal that if Blaike could learn desant magic and swordsmanship in a single week he could get a whole small gold. Blaike after the deal Blaike wandered back to his room to contemplate how to cast good spells. He could ask the sages that teach the heroes, but that would interrupt them from their heroing business. Alan noticing their master¡¯s distress asked what was bothering him. Finding out that since they had actually gone to the teachings from the sages and even had a more natural way to cast magic then what was being taught decided to be Blaike¡¯s teacher for magic. From the mornings to noonish Blaike would go to the training yard with Satoru to practice with the sword since he was most used to beating up Satoru, but recently Satoru has been getting better at predicting Blaike¡¯s moves to dodge and strike back making the duels better resulting in two more blue screens. "Your pet ¡°Satoru¡± as gained enough wisdom and time around your language to obtain the [English] skill." "Repeated combat with the sword and observation of the swords creation has resulted in you and Satoru obtaining the [Swordsmanship] skill." After the noons Blaike would have lunch only to head to his room to be taught magic by his other contracted beast Alan. He learned how to channel magic of different types and learned that normally a person would only have one element, but summoned people always had multiple elements even some being contradictory like fire and water. Each element was represented by a different color the 6 primary and secondary colors then black and white, with Blaike¡¯s colors being the three rarest colors to be seen Black, White, and Purple. This also made it so the only spell¡¯s Blaike could be truly taught would be void magic spells, the simplest of which was a spell of pure void magic without any deformities and the one most other void spells were based on. The spell was known as ¡°Delete¡± and as it¡¯s name initials it literally deletes everything in the space the spell is being cast on. Matter, Time, Energies all of them get erased by this spell making it very dangerous. It was also not the easiest spell to cast as Blaike was not being taught to cast spells with chants, but with imagery. All spells though after the ¡°Delete¡± spell came much easier as Blaike understood a better way to cast spells and didn¡¯t need to spend time memorizing chants so he learned ¡°Heal¡± and ¡°weigh¡± which were basic spell¡¯s from the other two types of magics Blaike could channel. In duel between Blaike and the dummy the dummy had the advantage most of the time making it difficulty on Blaike, forcing him use ¡°Delete¡± completely disabling the dummy by making the enchantment on it break and a hole in the dummy itself appear. Boaz accepted the defeat giving Blaike the money since he had never seen the ¡°Delete¡± spell used by Blaike before and the swordsmanship of Blaike wasn¡¯t too bad compared to the progress made by the heroes. Blaike left the castle through the tunnel with Alan and Satoru healing himself in it. Arriving at the Slums Blaike headed to the Carpenter¡¯s place to remember the vendor he had talked to 2 weeks before now. Fine they¡¯re in total worth is 3 large silver pay up.¡± ¡°Sorry I only have a small gold can I have the 7 large sliver change back?¡± The Vendor surprised at seeing someone only carrying small gold immediately gave the extra to Blaike and cleaned up the Slaves before making the contract between the two Slaves and their new master. ¡°The Cat eared one is a half beis-kine named Kat and the one other than her is the Half Myrfol Jahleel.¡± After the purchasing of Kat and Jahleel the five of them left back towards the carpenter''s place to get the skills in carpentry. Chapter 7: Job Obtained The group of five arrived at the carpenter¡¯s shop a couple hours until noon. Lead by Blaike they entered the building to talk to the manager but they didn¡¯t see him so the group waited taking time to learn about each other. ¡°So your names are Kat and Jahleel, Right?¡± ¡°Yes Master.¡± Said the cat-eared girl looking down at the slightly degraded wood floor. ¡°Please don¡¯t call me that just call me by my name Blaike. The owner took a look at the money to authenticate it and seeing that it was two large silver and not small or gilded in silver he brought the group to the back where it looked the workshop was and told them they can work on anything for today and sleep in the back corner. After telling the group what to do the owner left the shop once again. In the workshop there were many different types of woods and many different sized logs. In the back where all of them were supposed to sleep there was barely enough space for two people to lay down. In the workshop the only ones practicing were Blaike and Satoru. The two of them were not doing carpentry, but instead woodworking with small figurines and Alan, Kat, or Jahleel as models as they were looking around and playing. Blaike and Satoru were both looking at and helping refine each other¡¯s figurines after they each made one. They both didn¡¯t make good quality works, but they did get better of the few hours they worked. At the end of the day both of them had some rough spots on their hands and the night had come letting Blaike try a new spell called ¡°Light¡± and practice his ¡°heal¡± spell. As the days passed the group talked about what to do and going into depth of their histories with the only one quiet being Blaike as he kept looking towards where they were going and the scenery. The days continued to pass and they were without view of villages Blaike had continued to train his magics either by fighting with Satoru then healing both of them or coming up with new ones like he had with ¡°light¡±. He had developed spells to move energies in order to heat things or cool them and a ¡°barrier¡± that could stop physical and magical attacks as well as a brick and mortar wall. The last spells he developed were based on ¡°weigh¡± as they would allow him to decrease his weight instead of only increasing it and pull him to an object. The current magic that he was attempting was not a singular type, but a mixture of void and divine in order to make a pocket of storage. This magic is more complicated than the others that were developed as it fused opposite magics and was making a pocket realm. Upon many failures Blaike had finally succeeded by making a small dimension only big enough fit his phone and money. After finally succeeding Blaike checked his full stat screen. When inside the town Blaike had bought more wood in order to practice his [Upgrade] skill on his sword, but instead of upgrading the sword directly with the wood he upgraded the wood into Equa wood to see how this would affect the conversion rate of the wood into durability. Since the woods were of the same type it greatly reduced the consumption rate when turning them into Durability and as it also used the skill twice it seemed like a great way to progress the skill. Since he had only tried the [Upgrade] skill on woods he decided to test it out on some stone after leaving the town. The group left the town the day after heading to the forest only to be stopped by a man in armor saying that only people in the Adventurer''s Guild could enter forcing them to go back to town in order to find the guild. Unlike the rest of the town the Adventurer¡¯s Guild Hall was a large and well decorated building. The clerk that was on duty at the time was a Man permeating with an aura of danger as Blaike entered only releasing it when their conversation began. ¡°Sir I would like to get permission to enter the woods just outside this town so I don¡¯t have to detour around.¡± ¡°Sorry, I can¡¯t give you entry unless at least one of your group''s members is an E rank member or half of it is F rank.¡± ¡°Fine how much does it cost to join so that we can pass.¡± ¡°A small silver per member joining the Guild.¡± ¡°Fine I¡¯ll pay for three of us to join since the other 2 are slaves.¡± Before handing over the necessary money he pulled it out of his new ¡°Storage¡± spell. ¡°Fancy spell you got there that would be interesting to see more often.¡± after saying that he handed of paperwork to register and took the money placing it under the counter. The paperwork was just a contract saying as long as you do a quest a month your Guild card won¡¯t be suspended and what your name, race, and role in the party was. After filling it out Blaike, Satoru, and Alan handed it over only to be brought towards the back of the Building being forced to leave Kat and Jahleel in the entrance of the Guild Hall. Chapter 9: Guild Card In the back of the Adventurer¡¯s Guild Hall the group had followed the guild¡¯s Clerk till they neared a large door that had what seemed another waiting room outside it, but this time it was much smaller with only a coffee table and one chairs on each side of it. Stopping outside the door the clerk only glanced at the top paper he grabbed before leading them here saying ¡°Okay, Satoru? You go in, the others wait out here.¡± After Satoru and the clerk went through the door Blaike and Alan quietly went about their own business as they were unsure as to when Satoru may come out. Less than a minute after Satoru went in the clerk left the door leaving the waiting room and heading back towards the front. Since the wait was long Blaike felt like practicing his skills so he started with the [Upgrade] skill using woodcarving to increase his wood sword¡¯s sharpness stat and only checking his progress in improving the sword. Equa Sword 44/44 Durability 7 sharpness The time it took Blaike to use the [Upgrade] skill was about half an hour and only after checking up on the progress of his Equa Sword did the door finally open again with Satoru coming out with a confused look on his face and a metal card in his hand. Looking towards Blaike Satoru gained a radiant smile only to say to Alan that it was her turn to go in. The time taken for passed easier compared to when Satoru was in the door as he was the one that could come up with ways to entertain the group with games that never involved instruments necessary to play it. As they were finishing the second game, Alan had come out with a metal card telling Blaike to head in and that Satoru and her will be in the main lobby waiting for him. Through the door was a large yellow crystal and a woman holding the papers waiting for Blaike to appear. When the door was fully shut the crystal lit up revealing a false floor and stairs under it, behind the woman before she brought Blaike down. At the end of the stairs there was another yellow crystal, but this time it had a metallic core. The woman approache it before Blaike putting her hand and a metal sheet on the crystal before telling Blaike to touch the sheet and hold it to the crystal. Upon Blaike¡¯s approach the crystal grew a dim glow only to absorb most of the sheet into its core leaving a metal card with all the filled out information on it covered in a thin layer of the yellow crystal. This process took a full minute to be complete and having Blaike only look at the card forming quickly under his palm in shock. The woman took her hand off the crystal creating a repulsive force on Blaike making him take a few steps back. The card in Blaike¡¯s hand had the same glow that the crystal had previously letting him see all the information inscribed on it. The woman told Blaike to fully register he needed to let a drop of his blood fall on the card and he may need a thing to pierce his skin handing him a small knife. Only at this time did Blaike realize the true reason as to why it took so long for the other two to come out, it was that they had to cause harm to themselves. The woman patiently waited for Blaike to cut himself until he finally did cut the tips of his middle three fingers of the hand that held the card. He grasped the card tightly as he felt the crystal around the card dissolving into the card giving it a slight yellow luster. The both of them left the room heading toward the main entrance hall where Blaike joined back together with Alan, Satoru, Kat, and Jahleel. The group left the guild after making sure that they could enter the forest, unobstructed the group went into the forest only to find the reason that they were not allowed to enter the forest was because goblins and a low level dungeon inhabited the forest. With curiosity toward what the dungeon held Blaike lead the group through the forest looking for the dungeon to find a small cabin near a pyramid that stood as tall as some redwood trees.the group went to the cabin to see who would have build one next to the dungeon and with few people coming near. The cabin had no residents, with only a sign at the door saying ¡°this is a house for those who want to venture into the depths of the pyramid¡±. Taking a brief look into the cabin the group decided not to rest there as they would venture into the pyramid instead. The pyramids had a similar design to them as those from Indonesia allowing Adventures to easily walk into the entrance of the pyramid at the peak of it. Upon entry to the dungeon Alan and Satoru were slowed by an invisible force pushing them back towards the entrance. They only pressed on to not be left behind seeing as the force would only slow their progress and not stop them. The group went down the first layer of the pyramid as it was small and had no monsters. The second layer was larger than what they expected since from the outside it looked only slightly bigger than the peak. With the unexpected increase of since there were now corridors and creatures resting within this layer forcing the group to be slightly more on edge as they had luckily not meet a monster when traversing the forest to find this place. The first pack of monsters that had appeared before the group was a pack of wolves being ridden by goblins wielding small pointed sticks.
