《How Does One Become Strong?》 Prologue It was a day like any other. I woke up in the usual drafty apartment, and after a quick breakfast composed of cereal I walked out of the door saying "I''m off". Not that there was anyone there to listen. I went to school, came back changed my clothes into work clothes and went off to work at my job... McDonald''s. I got back around 12 and promptly fell asleep in my thin, worn out matress. As was the routine of 15 year old Jack, orphan, with no family left in this world. I can''t even remember my last name thought Jack as he drifted off to sleep. He woke up at the same time as always and ate the same stale cereal as always, and he was off to school. He was walking on the normal route to school when he ran into his one and only friend, Takeru. "Hey Jack!" Shouted Takeru. "Energetic as always huh" said Jack. Takeru was one of the reasons Jack could continue to live in this world. As Jack and Takeru parted ways Jack walked into class and quietly sat down in his seat. He ignored everyone and everyone ignored him, he had never really cared about anyone since he went into highschool. Thus his school day ended and he walked out of the building to once again meet up with Takeru. They met up and began walking home. Suddenly they heard the roaring engine from a large truck that came from behind them smashing through everything in it''s way as it raced down the sidewalk, they only had the time to turn their heads as they saw their impending doom. "Well shit". Then suddenly there was silence, only silence, finally interrupted by a deep rumbling voice seeming to come from all around Jack. "Haha you are an interesting one. Just like that I passed out, waking up to the sound of a breaking egg shell. Chapter 1- A New World I woke up to complete darkness, ''am I blind?'' I thought. "Well, no use fussing about what we don''t know". Since I couldn''t use my eyes I decided to use my ears, discovering that I had AMAZING hearing. Well, I''ll look into this further later. For now, I have to figure out where I am and what my next steps will be. Well, seeing as I saw that blue screen, it must mean that I''m not blind". I continued to look around trying to see anything at all, then I heard that familiar ding. *You have gained the skill Night Vision* As the message went away I found out that I could see everything perfectly. I got up out of my black egg shell stretching my new body. I once again heard the stream of water behind me."Whoops, I almost forgot about my needs as a human, well, not exactly human anymore". I say, chuckling to myself sadly. I continue walking over to the stream while looking around at my surroundings. Apparently I''m in some sort of system of caves all connected to each other."I''m going to have to check that out". I say looking at the tunnel leading out of the cave I''m in. After getting a drink of water I take a look at myself in the reflection. I stand around 4 feet tall with dark red skin that has purple engravings which look like tattoos running down both of my arms. I have purple wavy hair that reaches my shoulders and eyes with purple pupils slit like a cats. My feet and hands have sharp claws that look like they could cut through steel. In my mouth I have sharp serrated teeth that point to me being a carnivore. My pointed ears can hear far better than humans can too. As, I turn around something catches my eye at the corner of the cave. "What is that"?, I walked over to where I saw something and see a black, scale covered tail, I just realized that I''m really hungry and that tail looks really, REALLY appetizing. I suddenly blank out waking up to being full and there being no tail of any sort. I think I see what happened. Ding! *You have eaten part of the body of a true dragon unlocking a new path of evolution for you.* *You have gained 10 levels, would you like to evolve?* "...huh"? *As you have reached the required level you may now choose one of the following to evolve into* [Fire Imp, evolving into the fire imp gives fiery red skin, a hot temper and a breath of fire. This imp has high potential for future evolutions. This Imp relies on speed, strength and it''s strong magical prowess.]*This evolution was unlocked by gaining a miniscule amount of a dragons blood flowing through your veins(Gaining stronger bloodlines in the future will allow you to gain stronger evolutions)* "Hmmm, while the fire imp certainly looks good the temper thing would be a problem to me as I''d say one of my best traits is my calm under pressure. The water imp would certainly be good as it is known to remain calm but it just lacks the fire power. These last two are the interesting ones. The Shade has many uses for me with blending in with the darkness and relying on speed which is my specialty, but I think attacking from behind just seems cowardly. So my choice will have to be the Scaled imp." Ding! ''There''s that sound again'' I thought as I started to feel sleepy. [You have chosen Scaled Imp as your next evolution! You will evolve while you sleep.] Once I read that, I fell to the ground asleep. I wake up feeling myself to have become more powerful. I once again go to the stream to look at my reflection. Right now I stand around 5 feet tall, my skin is still the same dark red color except now it feels thicker, the engravings on my arms stayed the same except now they''re not just engravings but are instead made up of dark purple scales. My eyes stayed the same except the cat like pupils are now more reptile-like. My wavy purple hair now grew down to my waist. There are scales on my back shaped like a tattoo of large wings. On my legs my shins are covered in scales while all of my claws have grown longer and stronger. I also noticed that my body is a lot more toned now. I can feel the power flowing through me. Ding! As I tested my abilities, I figured out what they all did. The first one was Hard Skin this is a passive ability that makes my skin as tough as some light leather armor. After that is Fire Magic this basically let''s me control fire more easily, I would still have to know a spell before being able to use it though. Then we have SUPER Hearing which is a passive skill and is basically exactly what it sounds like, just to give you an example though, something that was 100 feet away would sound like it was right next to me. Afterimage makes me basically teleport somewhere within 6 feet of me so fast that it leaves behind an afterimage, this is VERY draining though. Dragon Eyes is basically an intimidation technique that gives the impression that a real dragon is there. Chapter 2- The Caves Once I had gotten used to my new abilities I figured I would leave the cave I''m in and explore the cave system as I couldn''t last without food forever. I finally started walking out of my cave. As I walked out of the cave I saw a beautiful forested cave unlike any other I''ve ever seen. Walking forward I was surprised by a small wingless dragon that had apparently been waiting for me,the beast charged at me, I panicked a little bit and threw a simple fireball at it using fire magic which does little to no damage as it continues to charge at me, I jump up into the air letting it pass harmlessly under me. Unable to stop, the beast crashes into a tree before turning around. We have a stand off with neither of us moving, I suddenly charge catching it off guard with my superior speed and create a slash across the side of its body with my sharp nails. The beast rages at me and swings its tail smashing me in the chest, I''m sent flying into a tree. [-10 HEALTH] Giving me no time to recover it charges at me. I quickly kick off the tree and fly at the beast, doing somersaults in the air I give the beast a good slash across it''s right eye. It goes and crashes into a tree again. When it turns around it doesn''t see anything. I sneak up on it from the blind spot I made by blinding it''s right eye. I stick my hands through the gash I had already made in its side and crush it''s heart. *You have killed a lesser wyvern that was 2 times your level, you have gained 10 levels* *Due to the constant use of your claws, you have been granted the skill Iron Claws* As I look at the fresh blood dripping off of my hands from the dead wyvern I feel ecstatic and feel something animalistic awaken inside of me. [You have gained the skill beastly instincts which turns your instincts into a beasts] Already being at my camp I skin The Wyvern before cooking and eating it''s leg *You have gained the skill Skinning* Thinking about what to do with the skin of the animal I finally realize that I don''t have any clothes on. I spent the rest of the night and all throughout the next day experimenting with the skin trying to make clothes, by the time I would usually wake up I had made clothes that I was completely satisfied with. I had made trousers sewed together with a strong type of vine I found with the inside being the soft fur of a deerlike creature I had found and the outer part being the tough skin of the Wyvern. I found no need for a shirt as there was nothing that could irritate my Hard Skin. Ding! *You have gained the skill Craftsman*. I got up and started looking for a way out of the forest. I didn''t meet any animals along the way as I had beaten the wyvern which was most likely the king of this cave. As I continued walking I finally saw the tunnel leading out of the cave. Inside of the tunnel was dark, but it''s not any thing my night vision can''t handle, and I finally saw the next cave. As I entered the next cave there was nothing, there was no greenery, no stream running through it. I don''t think I would have noticed it with my human ears but there was a tiny chirping sound coming from the corner of the cave. Once I got closer I saw what would seem to be a little sparrow except for the fact that it was all black, except for the white streaks in its feathers. As I got even closer to it , I realized that it was injured. It''s little right wing was broken, this left the bird basically handicapped. As I bandaged the little birds wing since I just couldn''t bear to leave it there I heard that familiar, Ding! [Due to overwhelming affection towards you, you have been given the chance to tame the unique baby Ston Y/N] "Well, that''s surprising" I say looking at the little guy staring up affectionately at it''s saviour. Seeing nothing wrong with it I chose yes. [CONGRATULATIONS-You have gained a baby ston as a familiar] ''Hello master'' I jump, looking around for who it was that said that [You have gained the skill telepathic communication(limited) Allows you to communicate with one of your familiars telepathically] ''What''s wrong master'' says the little ston telepathically. ''Ahhh, nothing nothing, anyways you need a name don''t you. I can''t keep calling you baby ston forever. How about John"? The ston shook it''s head ''Star'' The ston looked at Jack like he was a complete idiot ''how about... Streak!'' The ston jumped up and down in delight ''Well then let''s go shall we''? Said Jack picking up Streak and setting him on his shoulder. ''By the way, do you know how to get out of here? Streak nodded his head. A few hours passed as Jack followed where Streak pointed at with his beak. A few more uneventful hours passed before Jack finally spotted light coming from a small hole just big enough for him to pass through. Jack sprinted as fast as he could and dove out of the hole. After living in the darkness of the cave Kirito had finally learned to appreciate the light. STREAKOV I have always been all alone in the darkness of this cave, I learned to forage for food and detect when a predator was coming. I was doing fine until the king of this cave, the wyvern came along. He took up half of the forest not letting anyone else in this made the large population of creatures in this forest migrate to just one side of the forest. This immediately made food scarce. It was like hell everyday, every creature fighting over the tiniest bit of food. Sadly, I was one of the weakest creatures. Every night I would go to sleep hungry on the top of the tallest tree I could find to avoid being eaten while I slept. I finally decided that if I this did not change I would very quickly die. I hardened my will and traveled to the wyvern''s side of the forest hoping that he could not know everything that was happening in his forest. I was right as I lived in there quietly for around a week. My luck had finally ran out as I stumbled across the wyvern walking around. The wyvern turned it''s head to look at me with a dangerous glint in his eyes. Before I could fly off he quickly grabbed me and hauled me off to his lair. When we arrived I was stunned at the sight of 100s of animal skeletons lying on the ground. It finally made sense why around 3 animals disappeared every night. Looking to my left there was a mouse scurrying in the bushes suddenly, I''m dropped by the wyvern as he pounces on the little mouse quickly crushing it with his weight. Seeing this as my only chance to survive I quickly attempt to fly off, seeing this the wyvern quickly tries to breathe fire on me, luckily he is barely counted as part of the Dragon family so it''s only a plume of smoke. Unluckily, this blinds me and I am sent crashing into a tree breaking my right wing. Ignoring the pain I quickly run off in the cover of the smoke. I had escaped that godforsaken place was what I thought as I reached the tunnel leading to the next cave. I hobbled through the tunnel and reached the next cave only to collapse into the corner, fainting. 2 days later I wake up to the sounds of footsteps walking through the tunnel, I open my eyes to see an intimidating beast with long purple hair and eyes like a dragon. I can''t help but chirp fright. It was a very quite sound but I saw the beasts ears move and then it starts walking towards me. I thought I was going to die right there after working so hard to get out of that forest of nightmares. As it is right in front of me I close my eyes awaiting my death, but it doesn''t come, instead comes warm hands wrapping a soft fur around my broken wing and offering me some of the meat of the bastard wyverns meat. Being taken from the depths of despair and discomfort and being put into the warm embrace of comfort I''m overcome with affection for this creature. Ding! [Would you like to become the familiar of Jack the Scaled Imp? Y/N] Yes! As started my life with Jack! Chapter 3- The Real World Jack:I look up at the new world I''m in. As soon as I step out of the cave I feel cold blast of air and the view from the top of of a mountain. "This is going to be troublesome"(Jack) ''Yes, I agree. All this time I had no idea I was on the top of a mountain''(Streak). Thinking to take advantage of the situation I look around for some sort of settlement. Off in the distance I spot a large castle with a town surrounding it. I decide to first travel to that city once I get down from the mountain. Finally having a goal in mind I start my descent. After a while of climbing down the mountain I had 3 quarters left to go so I decide to take a lunch break. Taking out the corpse of the wyvern I decide to eat it raw as there is no way I could start a fire up here and somehow it just feels right. Taking a bite of the raw corpse and feeling the blood trickle down my throat gives me a feeling of power but it quickly fades away, Ding! [You have increased your dragon bloodline by a miniscule amount by eating the raw meat of a lesser wyvern] *You have gained one level* Amazed by this notification I try eating more of the wyvern to no avail. Eventually, someone up above got tired of me doing this and Ding! [You can only increase your bloodline with a specific species once] Seeing as I wouldn''t gain anymore benefits I decided to try it on Streak. Ding! [Your familiar Streak already has one of the 5 great bloodlines in his body rendering him unable to receive another] "Oh? Why didn''t you tell me about this, Streak."(Jack) I say looking over at him only to see him just as confused as me. ''Ah well, guess it doesn''t matter'' I guess it''s just good to know that Streak''ll be able to take care of himself in the future. Done with lunch I start to pack up only to sense a feeling of great danger. Reacting immediately I use Afterimage and teleport 6 feet up into the air I watch in terror as mere milliseconds after I teleported a winged creature that looked like a pterodactyl slashed right through where my body used to be then flying back up to where I assume it''s nest is. Any sense of closure I once had about being safe on this mountain immediately disappeared. The only things that had saved my life were my bestial instincts that activated at the last moment. I went into full alert mode as I continue packing up my stuff. ''Are you okay Master?''(Streak) "Yes I''m fine, in fact I think that this is a good thing. Any naivety I once had and my false sense of security are now gone"(Jack) No matter what though I still had to get down the mountain. I carefully made my way down the mountain hiding every time I hear that terrifying screech. ''Master, why don''t you just defeat that thing and get over it?''(Streak) "Streak, when I felt that thing coming towards me all of my senses were heightened to their limits, I could feel how fast, strong and deadly that thing was. Just one slash and I would be dead. Even the speed that I pride myself in is nothing compared to it"(Jack) ''Okay, Master.'' Carefully trekking down the mountain making sure to avoid the beast took 2 days without sleeping. Once I finally reached the foot of the mountain I carefully dug a cave into the side of the mountain and crawled into it falling asleep. Waking up, I hear the all too familiar screech of the beast except this time quieter and weaker. I become confused as I know just how powerful it''s screech should be. Looking out of the cave I made I see a smaller and weaker version of the beast. ''It''s kid huh...'' sitting in the cave a crazy idea pops up into my head. Finishing the details and telling Streak about my plan and having him make sure the adult beast isn''t around I go outside and lie on the ground pretending to be hurt. Squinting my eyes I see that the young and inexperienced beast has fallen for my trap. As it swoops down to pick up an easy meal as it is about to pick me up with it''s talons I dodge to the side noticing that it is slightly slower than me, I use my iron claws to rip it''s wings membrane rendering it unable to fly. This took away it''s largest advantage over me, turning around I control the heat in the air around it causing it to be harder to breath and slowing it down giving me a further advantage. Just as the young, hot-headed beast can''t take the standoff and charges at me Streak, who was waiting for the right moment the whole time finally swoops in and pecks it in the eye causing it''s movements to become erratic, trying to take advantage of this I charge at it, unfortunately I had greatly underestimated the offspring of the monster living on the mountain as it recovers and bites me right in the chest and thrashing me around a bit before I bite it and take a piece right out of it''s side. The beast finally let go of me tossing me a couple meters away, as it is slowly walking towards me I struggle to move only to find that my body won''t respond, as I sit there watching death walk my way, Streak suddenly starts chirping madly taking the attention of the beast away from me and charging at it in a last attempt to save our lives. Watching Streak fighting for my survival when he could have just flown away I feel a foreign emotion washing over me, I feel tears flowing down for the first time in my life. That sadness turned into bubbling over me as the beast raised it''s leg over the unconscious Streak my vision turns red as the dragon bloodline inside of me comes forth in the form of a dragon head that opens it''s jaws and crushes the beast in half. This beast uses speed, strength and magical powers of high levels to take down any enemies that come it''s way] [Ancient Dragonian Devil(minor)-This evolution path was unlocked by having the bloodline of Ancients as well as a dragons bloodline. This creature has unlimited potential for future evolutions] Barely awake I look at the options and choose before quickly falling asleep. Opening my eyes I am once again surrounded by darkness. ''This is weird, I should be able to see in the dark easily thanks to my night vision, right?''(Jack) "HAHAHAHAHA, you have kept me entertained far longer than I thought possible for a mortal. As a reward for relieving me of my century old boredom I will give you a clue to where that human you have secretly been worried about this whole time is!"(????) "You, you''re that annoying God that sent me to this unknown world in the body of an imp aren''t you."(Jack) "Yes, I am that ''Annoying God'' and you are the ''Annoying Human'' who has kept me entertained! As I have little time, I will get straight to it and tell you that the human ''Takeru'' is in the human capital on the other side of this world. BYE!"(Annoying God) Trying to refute and shout at him I find that I can''t move and I lose consciousness. Once again opening my eyes, this time into the cave that I collapsed in I try to remember what happened before I lost consciousness. DING! This allows you to have more than one bloodline] "WHAT THE HELL HAS THAT GOD BEEN HIDING FROM ME!?"(Jack) After shouting curses at the Annoying God for a while I finally get tired of it. "Well, no use cursing him until I have enough power to go up there and teach him a lesson."(Jack) Deciding to check out my improved body I go outside and find a small pond to look at my reflection in. Standing around 6 feet tall, my skin is now tougher and a darker shade of red. The dark purple engravings on my arms now reach all the way to my ankles. My eyes still have a purple, slit pupil but now they have a line of red going down the middle. My claws and teeth have now turned silver and have become stronger than Steel. The wavy purple hair that runs down my back has now turned a darker shade of purple and has black streaks running down in some places. My ears are pointed and they have one wavy, purple line running from the base of the ears to the tip. Growing from my tailboneis a dark red, 8 foot long tail covered in dark red scales and ending in a sharp tip on par with a rapier. Even with all these major changes, the greatest change had happened to my face. Whereas my face when I was an Imp was ugly and looked like a goblin, my new face is extremely handsome with chiseled features that seem to give off an intimidating air, paired with my piercing, purple eyes I would be the ultimate lady killer if they''re not... you know, scared of a Demon Dragon... ''Oh well'' since I was still feeling groggy from the fight I decided to head back to the cave and get more rest. Chapter 4- Death STREAKOV DING! I was rudely woken up by this annoying sound. [As You have reached the required level you may evolve into one of the following] [Ston-This is the evolution that comes after the baby ston, it has a larger body which is sleek,and can reach incredible speeds] [Night ston-This variety of ston are very fast and sneak up on prey using the cover of darkness, almost as if they were assassins(Weaker in the day)] [Day Ston-This Ston attacks head on using strength and speed to weaken their enemies while borrowing the power of the sun to regain lost health and stamina(Weaker in the night)] [Giant Ston-This evolution has high potential for future evolution paths. The giant ston is a rare bird that has the powerful bloodline of the gargantuan Roc flowing through it''s veins causing the bird to rapidly grow in size, speed and strength] ''There''s not even any competition, Giant Ston. OBVIOUSLY! It sounds SO cool!''(Streak) [You have chosen to evolve into the Giant Ston. You will evolve while you sleep] After the notification went away I fell asleep on the spot. As I open my eyes I feel claustrophobic as I barely have any room to move in the cave, not being able to take it anymore I burst out of the cave breaking through the stone. DING! On it''s feet are long and sharp talons that are piercing the ground. "Wow, what a magnificent bird"(Jack) ''Thank you, you also look magnificent Master!''(Streak) "Streak, is that you? So you also evolved huh."(Jack) "The roc blood inside you is really showing"(Jack) For a few hours Streak and I had our first real talk before deciding to head back to the cave I had enlargened using earth magic. I decide to make some new clothes as my old ones had gotten too small. Thanks to the ''craftsman'' Skill I got I had finished my new clothes(still only trousers) by the time the sun peaked up over the trees. Deciding that today I would test out my new skills I jostle Streak awake and walk outside to start testing all of our new skills. As I had used berserk while testing my skills we had to go back to the cave and rest for a few hours. So, with Streak who was also woken up by the screech I walk out of the cave to face our opponents. Outside of the cave are 2 Ancient pterodactyls. One of them being the one we met on the mountain and the other appearing to be bigger and stronger than it. ''You get the smaller one and I get the bigger one.''(Jack) ''Okay, Master.'' Making the first move, the two Pterodactyls charge at us with their claws in front. I make a wall out of earth magic to block their charge and jump over the wall. landing behind my opponent I kick it and send it flying a few meters away and separating my fight from Streak''s. Quickly getting up, the pterodactyl let''s out an earsplitting screech which disorientates me long enough to scratch me on the chest leaving behind a large gash [-30 HEALTH. You have 35 health left] Spinning around, I smash my tail into the beast''s head and jump back dodging it''s own tail swing.Each realizing the others strength we have a quick standoff which I break by creating earth spikes from the ground and impaling it''s left wing the beast then swings it''s uninjured wing creating a blade of air that I quickly dodge and then throw my own magic attack in the form of an earth spear which the pterodactyl also dodges. Then, we both kick off the ground and begin clashing at incredible speeds. Neither of us gaining any ground I jump back as the earth crumbled below the pterodactyl, causing it to fall into a pit of spikes which I had secretly created while we had a stand off. Thinking that I had won the battle I turn around only to see Streak quickly losing ground in his battle. Panicking, I run over to takeover the fight while the injured Streak rests. As the pterodactyl and I are fighting I quickly realize that this pterodactyl is far stronger than the other one. Still, as Streak had recovered and joined the fray we were the ones pushing the beast back. I had kicked the pterodactyl in the chest knocking it onto the ground, when suddenly, a powerful attack hits me in my back this sends me flying into a nearby tree. [-30 HEALTH. 5 health remaining] fighting to stay conscious I open my eyes and see the pterodactyl that I had presumed dead standing in the spot I used to be in, I am shocked when I see glowing engravings running down it''s arms. ''It has ''berserk''! The 2 Pterodactyls quickly team up on Streak who is desperately fighting back using all of his trump cards yet still losing the fight. I''m trying to think of any way to help with my body not being able to move when I hear the noise of a treebranch breaking. Seconds later I feel the pain of wood hitting my head [-3 HEALTH. I quickly try to finish beast off by stabbing it with my claws only to have them harmlessly bounce off of it''s scales. As it finishes transforming into a new, incredibly powerful berserk mode an explosion of power knocks me backwards the beast then turns to Streak and waves it''s 2 wings creating a powerful tornado which carries Streak into the air and then slamming him into the ground, only leaving destruction in it''s wake. I scream at the top of my lungs and charge at the berserk pterodactyl, I jump into the air and use every skill that I have in an attempt to hurt it. Before I could even reach it, it starts to float in the air and make weird grumbling sounds. Out of nowhere a gargantuan 300 foot long semi-transparent pterodactyl swoops out of the sky and instantly pierces my body. [You have died] Opening my eyes I see two mighty beings that radiate power. Just taking one look at STREAK I can already tell he is based on Strength. He is 2 times as big as me, so around 1.5 feet long. His muscles are becoming well developed on his dark green body. Walking outside of the cave we spotted the perfect chance to test our strengths. Streak charged the strong one and I charged the fast one. Immediately using quick attack to try to surprise the gecko I tackled him to the ground and bit him with hard bite and thrashed him around a bit before he finally died. "What? That was too easy. I guess having the knowledge on how to use your skills and attacks correctly can really change the tide of any battle."(Jack) I look over at Streak and see him sitting on top of the corpse with a confused look on his face. "Master, why we''re they so weak?"(Streak) "Even if my parents took away my skills, titles and bloodlines they couldn''t take away our knowledge of how to fight."(Jack) Doesn''t make sense? First off is piercing claw, this attack is quite amazing actually. It covers the hand you use it on with sharp mana that can pierce through even the toughest of trees. Repellent scales is also an amazing skill, this is a natural thing that happens with my scales. They are all imbued with magic that acts like a shield that blocks attacks. Before it breaks that is. To test out repellent scales I had to find some random gecko walking around. Now, onto my appearance. I walk to a small pond and see the reflection of a black creature staring back at me. I''m around 3 ft long, I have sharp and shiny hexagonal shaped scales allover me. My head is shaped slightly like a dragons head with 2 small horns jutting out of my the top. My claws are a dark silver, like iron. My sharp teeth are also the same dark silver color. My tail is a deep black which has sharp ridges running along the top. My reptilian eyes are the same black color as my tail. The cool thing about me though is that there are small pieces of earth floating around me."I''m still scary as hell though!"(Jack) Walking back to the cave I see a large 5 ft long lizard that''s dark red in color. It looks like a komodo dragon that has small wings jutting out of it''s back. It has dark silver claws and teeth just like me and fire sometimes comes out of it''s nose. "Streak?"(Jack) "Yes master it''s me! I evolved into a Feuer Lizard."(Streak) "What skills did you get?"(Jack) "Let''s see I got Iron claws, iron teeth, fire magic, comet punch and tail slam. Sending out a challenging roar I smash into it using quick attack and then jump back to avoid getting hit by the water spears sent flying my way. Looking up I see two more water geckos."hmm this might actually be fun... STREAK! Since your fire is weak against water you take one of them and I''ll take the other 2." Using earth magic I quickly create spikes that shoot out of the floor underneath the geckos who''s front legs are pierced. They immediately destroy the spikes with water magic only to look up and see me racing at them. Before they could even react I imbue my front claws with mana and use piercing attack to rip through one of the water geckos hearts, instantly killing him. Suddenly, the remaining water gecko appears behind me while I was distracted and imbued his own claws with water magic and attempts to do the same thing to me as I did to his companion. As he strikes, expecting to pierce through my scales kill me he is met with a major surprise as his claws merely pierce around an inch into my scales. Taking the opportunity given to me I use quick attack and piercing claw at the same time charging at him with speeds he can''t react to. Piercing straight through his brain the fight is quickly over. "Streak, never forget an opponent. That was the lions downfall."(Jack) "Yes master!"(Streak) [You have gained 4 levels] "Well then Streak, let''s bring this guy back to the cave and get some rest."(Jack) After around an hour of walking with the lion slung over Streaks back we finally got back to the cave. Immediately starting to skin the lion Streak starts a fire. After an hour it''s finally done. Looking over at the drooling Streak I rip off a leg and throw it to him witch he quickly chomps down on before taking one myself. Woken up by the sunlight streaming through the caves entrance. Waking up Streak we quickly eat some breakfast and left the cave to go hunt some more. We had killed a few D ranked beasts and gained 8 more levels before deciding to go home. After getting home we ate some more lion meat before going to sleep. Waking up the next morning Streak and I ate some breakfast before heading out once again. After a while of walking the densely populated forest suddenly seemed abandoned. There were none of the normal animal sounds. Feeling that something was wrong I jump into a nearby bush dragging Streak along with me. Right as Streak was hidden in the bush a 30 ft long bright red wyvern walked out of nearby trees. Tomorrow we''re going to hunt a C ranked monster and evolve."(Jack) "Exactly what I was thinking!"(Streak) "Well then, get some sleep."(Jack) "Ok"(Streak) Lying down I think ''if that''s how strong an A- ranked monster is how strong would an SSS+ monster be?'' Trying not to think about it anymore I fall asleep. Waking up at the same time as every other day Streak and I set out on a journey to find a C ranked monster. After walking through the forest for an hour making sure to avoid any signs of the wyvern we finally find what we''re looking for. Accepting the challenge Streak and I step into the clearing to face the Lizard. Making the first move the Lizard hurls a large stone at us. As it comes closer I use piercing claw and split the stone in half. Sending his own attack Streak throws a HUGE fireball at the Lizard. Realizing that he can''t block it the Lizard jumps to the side, signalling to Streak that it was time we both charge at the Lizard from different directions. Making a quick decision the Lizard forms a dome of earth around himself. Streak jumps forward and uses his most damaging attack, comet punch to shatter the dome. Apparently waiting for his dome to be broken the MehrErde Lizard stabs his sharp tail at me stabbing me in the gut [You have lost 15 health. You have 7 remaining] Attempting to finish me off the Lizard charges at me only to be sent flying into a tree by Streak using tail smash. Angry at myself for letting my guard down I use nearly all of my mana and create a swirling tornado of earth spears and send it flying at the MehrErde Lizard. Trying to fight the tornado only results in the Lizard getting stabbed by multiple earth spears and ultimately dying. Once we get back I immediately fall on the floor from mana exhaustion. The difference is that this time I have an earthy brown streak running across both sides of my body. My eyes are a deep fiery red. There also seems to be a watery blue tint to my scales and an azure streak running down my back. Along with this my scales and teeth have become silver like iron and my head has grown two more horns. It is just a part of the human continent that was cut off to imprison evildoers and those who have been banished it is guarded by the SS ranked Dragon Paarthanaux so no one dares to break in. The only way out is to defeat him in a battle. But that has never happened.(Tor) "I see, so my parents lied to me."(Jack) "Now that I have answered one of your questions it''s time you answered one of mine. How did you get banished here?(Tor) "Well, basically I was living as an orphan in my old world and then I died and was reincarnated in another world and became quite strong before being killed. Since I had died I met my parents who are actually titans and they banished me here"(Jack) "Wait, what."(Tor) Chapter 8- The World A few hours go by with me telling her about Streak and I''s past. "Wow, that must have been really hard for you two"(Tor) "I guess. Anyways, it''s time that we learn about the world outside of the Underworld."(Jack) "The world outside has 5 known continents. Eis, a frozen land occupied by frost giants and beasts. Feuer, a land scorched by fire, occupied by dragons and the Hitze people: a race that is similar to humans in anatomy but are covered in scales and immune to heat. Nobody tresspasses on Eis or Feuer in fear of the powerful creatures and dreadful climate. There is also the Mensch continent which is the humans continent. Mensch is the only continent with suitable weather for humans to reside, the humans are one of the weakest races. The only reason that the humans have their own continent and have not been exterminated is because of their massive population and their technological advances such as cannons, catapults, walls and many other things. The fourth continent is the Wald continent. This continent is covered in forestry It is populated mainly by elves and many sprites, fees, fairies and Dryads. The Wald continent is very secretive so not much is known about them. The last known continent is the Achtung continent. Achtung isn''t really a continent but a sea. This is the reason why the world has 5 KNOWN continents, the Achtung Sea is far larger than any of the continents. It separates the world in half and is filled with the strongest beasts from the continents. It is said that there is some secret in the Achtung sea that attracts beasts over SSS+ from all around the 5 continents into it. The highest rank most people get to in their life is around E rank. Of course that only goes for those who have normal jobs like farmers. There are also people called adventurers who travel into dungeons and sell the items they recieve. Basically, adventurers usually get to around C rank in their lives, just to give you a strength comparison. Anyways, SSS+ is like the greatest rank in the continents since most above that have already gone to the Achtung. The few remaining people above SSS+ rank are the ones we had gotten this information from. The rank after SSS+ is Domain User. After that is skilled Domain user. I fall to the ground scratching my eyes to no avail before finally the pain subsides and I can finally open my eyes again. As my eyes open I see a completely different place from before. All around me I can see trails left by animals and where there was a battle which animals had passed by there. It was amazing. He turned to look at us as our vision was fading away and mouthed two words "Good luck"(Drago) With that, my senses faded away and a strange sensation appeared in my body. With all other distractions having disappeared I could sense the strange feeling in my body, I tried to get closer and closer to it and right as I was about to touch it all of my senses came back and the sensation disappeared. Turns out he actually cared."(Streak) "There is no use trying to fight something we can''t fight. We must take our time getting stronger and get revenge when we''re ready. Let''s go"(Jack) We started walking towards the city. Reaching the gates a large bull-like creature came up to us and said "Passes please"(Bull) "What do you mean?"(Jack) "Ohh, sorry. Well then come with me."(Bull) The bull walked off into a building. Nothing to do except follow him I guess. When we went into the city I expected it to be covered in filth since there didn''t seem to be any cleaning system and there were many creatures inside but it was actually completely clean and it had a homely feeling completely unlike any largely populated city I had been to back on earth. It also seemed to be a trade city as foxes and rats (literally) had stalls lined up along the sides of the streets selling anything from drugs and medicine to slaves and armor. What really caught my attention though, was the giant castle in the middle of the city that made everything seem to gravitate around it. I looked around to find some kind of hotel to stay in but instead saw a poster that said "New queen of the matriarchal kingdom will be coming tomorrow, rejoice as a new leader has arisen.
