《Legend of Truck-san》 Prologue-"I am Truck-san!" Toolbox- Hyperlink! "God damn it Mechanic!" I said. Libera Me Driver-san<--- "Click it, internet friends! Legend of Truck-san is starting now!" said Mechanic. Ahem. I, Truck-san, stand on the bow of the space behemoth Driver-san. I¡¯m transformed into my mecha form, ready to battle, thinking of everything that got me here. Thanks to my japanese teenage friend who got teleported to another world with me, we now have this mighty weapon to defeat the gods. Thanks, Mechanic. You threw away your name after I killed you, all those years ago when my driver drove you over that one snowy night. And now- The stars in the heavens twinkled. Each one, an enemy. I¡¯m Truck God, a minor god, and I¡¯ve got a soul to save from all of them. My Driver. In front of me, my mortal enemy, Wheel God. He wore a cape of tires woven together, eternally burning, his whole body cobbled together withwheelybits. ¡°Truck God! Forget your driver, join me, and we can rule the divine world together!¡± Wheel God said.If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. ¡°That¡¯s Truck-san to you. Once I get driver-san back, we¡¯ve got a delivery to make, and I always make my deliveries on time.¡± I looked once again to the heavens before charging Wheel God in my mecha form. Driver-san, I¡¯ll save you from death and together we¡¯ll-! ¡°Package Delivery!¡± I whacked Wheel God over his wheeled head, encircling my mecha truck arms around him. I revved my engine, bringing the RPM to the utmost. I jumped, Wheel God in my arms. ¡°There¡¯s still time, Truck God! You don¡¯t have to save your driver, you have all this power and yet why must you use it all to save a mere human!¡± ¡°You would never understand, Wheel God. I never signed up for being a God, but before I knew it¡¡± We flew above the stars. I flipped Wheel God around and jammed my accelerator. ¡°Infinite Piledriver!¡± ¡°Noooooooooooooo!¡± Wheel God squeaked out as we shot past Driver-san in a flash of light. Heading past all sense of reason and time, the world disappeared from my view. Then, a white ground, the universe¡¯s wall, stopped us. In a burst of light, it cracked. Thousands of shards of universal wall glass shot out like bullets as Wheel God impacted the wall. His rubbery defense was high, so I went all out this time. ¡°Goodbye, Wheel God!¡± ¡°Curse you, Truck God!¡± He screeched it out as his body drove into the universal wall. Then, it broke. My mecha Truck eyes went big as the universal wall opened a crack. ¡°Ah¡¡± I blurted out. Did I overdo it? Wheel God and I got sucked through the crack. 1-"I went to another world." Wandering along a lone snow road, the air covered in a dense white. A whiteout. I¡¯m a Truck. A japanese Truck. My driver is warm and comfy in my cabin near my engine. He¡¯d die outside in this weather! This whiteout, this much snow in the air so you can¡¯t see even a foot in front of you, he¡¯d die in minutes. How does he know where he¡¯s going? We pass by a car by inches, nearly cleaving it with my fender. I can¡¯t see, but that¡¯s because of the snow not because I¡¯m a Truck! Is my driver a God? A hero? A skilled japanese teenager? I don¡¯t know. I sigh through my exhaust, glad that my driver drove me the right way. The car we missed behind us starts up and follows behind me. Riding on my bumper is rude, Car-san. Trucks, and things in general have a sense of how things work. You didn¡¯t think we were just inactive objects without a consciousness or spirit, right? You didn¡¯t think that humans were the only beings capable of thinking, right? How disappointing. I¡¯m Truck-san. Nice to meet you. I¡¯ve got worries, and not just maintenance worries. I always promised my driver we¡¯d deliver on time even if we road-killed a japanese teen or two. No one slows down my shipment! Soon, those worries are going to increase. Truck senses aren¡¯t like human senses. As part of the firmament world, the world outside of living beings, the inorganic world, we gather bits of consciousness from smaller objects. Like, rocks can think. Rocks think very little. But they still think. So, what would happen if you made a complex mechanical creation like a Truck? Normally, you would think that it¡¯s only the gooey human bits all together make consciousness. Nope. It¡¯s a bunch of little parts coming together to make a bigger consciousness. All that stuff in your closet that you packed away? It becomes one being. And I¡¯m currently an eighteen wheeler Truck-san. And I¡¯m about to hit yet another japanese teenager. I lost count how many. So many died! It¡¯s not my fault, okay? That¡¯s because Trucks are driven by their drivers, so it¡¯s his fault! Blame him! My tires churn the snow into the air, I¡¯m an eighteen wheeler so a lot went flying. Snow, like the ninjas of my country flew about in the air, seeking their rest on the piles of white below. I sighed exhaust as I felt a bump. It¡¯s not another kid is it. Huh? The driver¡¯s eyes went dark. He keeps driving! Hey! Just because it¡¯s a whiteout- I look at the japanese teenager who wandered onto the snowy road. My immense weight and speed made short work of him. He got tossed away like a bag of rice and is now covered by snowdrift. I saw his soul float out like all the others. Too young to die. It¡¯s not my fault! How many do I have to kill? So I prayed. Like always. Not this one! I¡¯ve killed too many japanese teenagers! God, Buddha, Amaterasu, someone! Save this kid¡¯s soul and reincarnate him to another world! I did that each time it happened, so I thought this time would be like all the rest. Some mystical force would capture the soul away. This soul didn¡¯t get captured. It flew towards me. Suddenly, a feeling that the soul joined me resounded in my metal body. Uh-oh. ¡°Where am I? I got lost in the snow and-¡± ¡°You¡¯re part of Truck-san now, kid,¡± I said to the japanese teenager. Oh great. Now I¡¯ve got to babysit another consciousness! The pebbles that got caught in my grill were annoying enough. Hint: they¡¯re pebbles, how interesting can they be? ¡°...Truck-san? Are you kidding me? I died! I died and this is heaven! Heaven¡¯s being a Truck?¡± the kid whined. ¡°No, I¡¯m Truck-san. You¡¯re just one of the many japanese teenagers I killed. I¡¯m sorry.¡± I could hear his soul gasp. I¡¯m still wandering through the whiteout outside, but in my consciousness I see him floating. Put on some clothes? Oh wait, they don¡¯t exist. ¡°You¡¯re a murderer! And I¡¯m your latest victim¡¡± the boy whined. ¡°It¡¯s not my fault! My driver did it all!¡± ¡°Shouldn¡¯t he lose his license then?!¡± ¡°You¡¯d think he would. That¡¯s human¡¯s business, not mine.¡± He¡¯s confused and angry. I can tell. I¡¯m a Truck. ¡°So, I¡¯m a part of you now?¡± I could see him floating about. He smushed himself in my engine. Get out of there! ¡°Usually, a god or something comes to pick up the teenagers that I run over, you¡¯re the first-¡± I felt a strange energy. Uh-oh. A divine being opened a portal in front of me. I can feel divine beings. A sinister aura. For some reason, I imagined a wheel in my mind. I¡¯m a Truck. I know such things. ¡°AAAHHHHHHHH!¡± The boy screamed out as I drove into the portal and out of the snowy world. In front of me was a black plain, my tires spinning into nothing. Hey! My driver¡¯s gone! I hope he didn¡¯t get left behind in that whiteout. He might get hit by another Truck or freeze out there. My engine shook as I looked around, a divine being appeared with a convenient desk and started doing paperwork. It¡¯s a beautiful girl in a flowing outfit for some reason, she¡¯s got this dumb smile on her face as she dips a quill into an inkwell and keeps writing. You¡¯re a god, can¡¯t you afford better supplies? Is it that since you¡¯re a god, you¡¯ve got to act like you¡¯re above us all? I transported plenty of pen shipments. Use one of those! Give back to the economy! Hey. Divine being!Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site. ¡°Hey. Hello? I prayed for the kid¡¯s soul to reincarnate, not mine! I¡¯m not dead. I¡¯m just Truck-san. Send me back! My driver, where¡¯s my driver!¡± I tooted out. She looked up, her eyes smiling at me before getting back to scratching her quill. The boy inside me seemed to be interested. I didn¡¯t want to say it, but some reason I usually hit completely average types who never had a sexual experience before. I know these things. I¡¯m a Truck. It¡¯s strange. She finished with a flourish and explained the situation: ¡°Hello, Truck-san. My name is Alyavrane. You see, I¡¯m just a bureaucrat level divine being, Truck-san. You¡¯re well known in the divine world. It¡¯s not normal that every soul you pray for reincarnates. Especially after you run them over... Trucks don¡¯t have that power. Most don¡¯t pray for those they kill either. You¡¯re a special one, Truck-san.¡± The boy looked at me in surprise. I¡¯m surprised too. I thought I was just a normal truck. I urged her to continue with my horn. ¡°It isn¡¯t normal for Trucks to feel divine beings either,¡± she corrected me. She could see my thoughts back then? ¡°Huh. Oh well. The other Trucks always said I was weird. What am I then, Mrs. Alyavrane?¡± ¡°Miss Alyavrane, from Soul Management.¡± Seemed that was a sore point with her. ¡°Anyways, you¡¯ve actually become a Minor God. The first person you killed was actually reincarnated and took over the world they went to, they got drunk one night and decided to give you the ability to send as many teenagers to another world as you wanted with a prayer. You¡¯re known to the gods as Truck-san, the Truck God.¡± ¡°The first kid I ran over wasn¡¯t angry at the driver? I¡¯m just a Truck-san!¡± ¡°Humans have a tendency to blame the firmament world for their problems. You¡¯re a God now, isn¡¯t it great!¡± ¡°Great? Send me back at once, my driver needs me!¡± I tooted my horn to emphasize my point. Alyavrane looked towards the consciousness of the boy. She gave me a guilty smile. ¡°Oh¡oh no¡¡± I realized what she meant. I saw that smile on dispatchers many times when a shipment needed to go a few extra miles. ¡°Truck-san? What¡¯s going on?¡± said the boy. I sighed exhaust and explained the obvious. ¡°My power is to send people to another world when I pray for their souls, so since you¡¯re now a part of me, I¡¯ll be sent to another world with you...¡± ¡°But! You¡¯re just a Truck! Hey, Alya-whatever, leave him out of this!¡± I revved my engine in a purr, trying to calm him down as I saw Alyavrane make a troubled face. ¡°She¡¯s a bureaucrat. When my driver got dispatch orders, no matter how many people we drove over, we always delivered on time. No one stops the economy, kid.¡± Alyavrane gave an appreciative smile and added: ¡°I¡¯ll file a complaint. You want to get back to your driver, huh? But, I¡¯m afraid he¡¯s¡¡± ¡°That¡¯s enough. I don¡¯t stop for anyone, Alyavrane. It¡¯s my driver who controls the brake. The last time I saw him, he was putting even pressure on the accelerator. I¡¯ll honor his last order.¡± The boy looked at me confused. ¡°You¡¯re going that far for your driver? Didn¡¯t he drive you over a bunch of innocent people! Aren¡¯t you mad at him for forcing you to do that?!¡± ¡°I¡¯m Truck-san. It¡¯s not my fault what my driver does,¡± I said. I didn¡¯t believe that, if I wasn¡¯t guilty, I would never have prayed. But for driver-san I¡¯ll-! ¡°I¡¯ll help you, Truck-san! I owe whatever this life I have now is to you, so I¡¯ll support you all the way,¡± said the boy. I looked to him, his eyes full of grit. I had no idea why he would say something like that, but I took him at his word. I tooted my horn. ¡°Okay, kid. Thanks.¡± Alyavrane looked distraught. ¡°Driver-san is dead, Truck-san! You can¡¯t do anything, please move on.¡± ¡°Alyavrane, am I a god or not? If there isn¡¯t anything I can do, tell me so that I can break that common sense of yours!¡± Alyavrane looked down. ¡°Well, the complaint I¡¯ll file can only go so far¡¡± ¡°That¡¯s enough, honey. I know dispatchers have their own problems. It¡¯s my responsibility to get my driver back, not yours,¡± I comforted her. ¡°Truck-san¡ anyways, you¡¯ll be going to another world with the boy within you. Takahasi?¡± The boy¡¯s soul floated out of me and I got a good look at his completely average self. ¡°Here, a list of abilities. It¡¯s a fantasy RPG world with game-like mechanics-¡± I lost interest as she went over the details. Level this, ability that, but the one he chose- ¡°Mechanic? I¡¯ll choose it! If Truck-san is being forced to go with me, I¡¯ll do what I can to support him!¡± I sighed through my exhaust. ¡°I¡¯m just a Minor Truck God that prayed for you to revive, Takahasi. You can live your next life to the fullest, go find a harem or something!¡± ¡°No! I never had anything I cared about in life, so to see Truck-san so boldly saying he would do anything to save his driver even when it sounds impossible inspired me!¡± Takahasi¡¯s excitement is burning. I can¡¯t turn him down. ¡°Call me Mechanic from now on, Truck-san!¡± ¡°What¡¯s with that, you have a name, you should honor it.¡± ¡°I can¡¯t do that Truck-san. My family, I-!¡± I stopped him with a toot of my horn, noticing his discomfort. ¡°That¡¯s enough. I won¡¯t be having any of your sob story flashback. I¡¯ve got Driver-san to save.¡± Mechanic looks happy. I thought I was rude, but maybe he¡¯s into that sort of thing? I¡¯m a Truck, don¡¯t ask me about people. Alyavrane and Mechanic finished up their conversation, and she turned to me with a bow. ¡°Good luck, Mechanic and Truck-san. I¡¯ll do my best to get that complaint to the right people. Even though you are a popular minor god, Truck-san, in the divine world you get the same priority as everyone else. Remember, Truck-san, that you still have the reincarnation ability I told you about earlier, even in the next world.¡± ¡°Thanks, Alyavrane. Where are we going, anyways?¡± ¡°Vainris. It¡¯s a world ruled by vampire lords and edge lords. You need to be careful¡ I gave Mechanic an explanation, so please stay safe!¡± Mechanic smiled to me as Alyavrane did some hand signals and he gained an astral body for his consciousness. Thank god, it was crowded in here. He climbed aboard my driver¡¯s seat in his astral body. You¡¯re naked. That¡¯s dirty! Even if you¡¯re a spirit your spirit balls are on my leather! I held my horn, as I¡¯m about to get transported to another world. A portal opened up, and slammed on my accelerator, surging into the unknown. 2-"I defeated a wizard and captured Villager Girl As heart." ~Villager Girl A¡¯s point of view~ My knees shook with each heavy footfall into the loam of the forest, my breath pouring out in gasps as I ran. Each step I made was one I thought would be my last, but the soldiers behind me forced me onward. Death was all I could hope for if I stopped. My heart quivered, a sick sludge pumping into my veins as I tired. There¡¯s no hope. It¡¯ll end here. I need to accept it. I remembered my life, shutting my teary eyes tight as I stumbled to the ground, gasping for air. My parent¡¯s death. The long years working in the fields. The dreams I had of going to the city with some merchant. All those dreams were just that, dreams, and now the reality rushed upon me in the form of a beastly soldier. Dark, like a shadow with a shining blade clasped in his bloody hand he chuckled as he stood above me, not winded in the least. I prayed for a quick en- A shining light. Armor? A carriage of impossible size and speed, made out of the reflecting light of the sun and steel blurred in front of me. It¡¯s massive form crashed into the soldier, deforming him. In that moment, I saw the light reflect off the glass of the carriage like it winked at me. A knight in shining armor, in the form of a carriage? My heart felt alive. ¡°A-amazing¡¡± The most beautiful sight in the world. A giant beast of metal, a carriage, and I saw no place for horses or a driver to sit. The black wheels supporting it were a number I couldn¡¯t count. It stopped abruptly in front of me, as if assuring me that the threat was dealt with and I was safe. To my surprise, a door opened, showing me an empty seat inside the carriage. Then, a boom rang out. ¡°Are you Villager Girl A? I¡¯m Truck-san. Get inside, I¡¯ll give you a lift.¡± ~Truck-san¡¯s point of view~ My tires churned the air as I fell into the new world. What was it called again? Who cares, I¡¯m Truck-san and I¡¯m going to save Driver-san no matter what it takes. But for now, sunlight! Blue skies! Little patches of clouds trailing in the air! And me, Truck-san, an eighteen wheeler falling through it all. The boy inside my cabin was screaming. I¡¯m a Truck, I¡¯m not afraid of a crash or two. I hit many things in the past, deer, japanese teenagers, a baby carriage, maybe a little girl or two- But now, I¡¯m about to hit ground. If I explode into tiny truck parts, may driver-san reincarnate to another world- Wait?! If I pray, don¡¯t the souls I pray for reincarnate? Driver-san! He must have reincarnated to another world from my prayer just now! I slammed into the ground, tooting out with my horn as I did. ¡°Driver-san! I¡¯ll find you, wherever you are!¡± What surprised me was that it was out loud. ¡°Huh?¡± I heard my majestic voice for the first time through my horn. This isn¡¯t possible! Trucks can¡¯t talk! ¡°Urgh¡Truck-san, why can I still hear you, even though I have a body now?¡± Mechanic is naked in my driver¡¯s seat. Fishing around the cabin he found some extra clothing and started putting them on with a shameful face. Please ask, those clothes aren¡¯t yours. I¡¯ll forgive you this time. ¡°I can speak? What the heck? I¡¯ve seen how my horn works, it doesn¡¯t have that capacity!¡± ¡°Ah, well, maybe because I got a body when I reincarnated, you got some things as well? You are a god. Maybe it¡¯s an extra?¡± Hey. Stop messing around with the cabin. You¡¯re eating driver-san¡¯s food? Despicable. ¡°Mechanic, please be serious. If I¡¯m to find the world Driver-san reincarnated into, I¡¯ll need world traveling powers at least. Can you help?¡± Mechanic got flustered at ¡®driver-san reincarnated¡¯ so I explained that I prayed for him to reincarnate as we were crashing into the new world. Mechanic isn¡¯t that smart, is he? ¡°World traveling powers? Truck-san, there are some things that are impossible¡¡± ¡°Like Truck¡¯s talking, being sent to another world, and reincarnating due to a Truck¡¯s selfish guilty wish?¡± I countered. Get with it, Mechanic! Mechanic sat in my cabin, dumbstruck, as he pointed forward. ¡°Truck-san, where are you driving?¡± I noticed we were moving at 40/mph. Mechanic- isn¡¯t driving. I¡¯m driving? Unconsciously? I stopped with my brake, confused that I could even do that. ¡°Mechanic, you didn¡¯t touch anything, did you?¡± Mechanic rubbed his head. ¡°It¡¯s another feature, I guess?¡± It¡¯s Truck-san that needs to ¡®Get with it¡¯! I¡¯m not living in reality! I turned on my windshield wipers, adjusted my engine, breathed out through my exhaust and checked my fuel gauge. It¡¯s strange. In fact, ever since I went through that portal- I could toot my own horn. I didn¡¯t notice at all. I had full control at that moment, when I entered the divine world. ¡°So, since I¡¯m Truck God, like Alyavrane said, all the new features make sense¡ but where¡¯s the limit of my abilities? Maybe I can use this to save Driver-san?¡± I wondered aloud. Having a voice was still strange to me. I drove. Without any better sense of what to do, I enjoyed driving myself for the first time. Through the forest, literally. The freedom under the sunlight of the new world invigorated me. I crashed through trees with abandon, enjoying the crunch as my tires snapped them under my stampede. Little tree branches got stuck in my grill and tried to tell me: ¡°Stop hurting the forest! We love you, Truck-san! All trees want is hugs!¡± Trees are all like that. Once something organic dies, they can communicate with the firmament world, beings like me, without an issue. Once organic material dies, it returns to the firmament world. I don¡¯t feel guilty about killing trees at all though, they only stand in the way of deliveries! I dreamt of a better world. If only this world was entirely gray concrete. If only the Earth that I came from became a vast cityscape, how fast could my deliveries be? Screw you, Trees! I rammed endlessly through them, churning shrubbery and loam in my tires. Driver-san would never drive into trees on purpose. It¡¯s strange though, I don¡¯t remember being this durable. When I hit people in the past, didn¡¯t I get dents? Mechanic lounged about in my cabin, legs up on the dash. ¡°Ahh~ I¡¯m in a talking Truck in another world.¡± Mechanic said things like that, staring out my windows in the navy blue jumpsuit he stole from Driver-san. He looks comfortable at least. It unnerved me to be driving myself. Especially with such a lazy type lying about my dashboard. ¡°Tak- er, Mechanic, put your feet down.¡± ¡°Oh, sorry. I didn¡¯t think you would mind¡¡± We made our way, ramming a hole through the forest into a clearing and a town came into view. Fire, smoke, the town didn¡¯t look happy at all. The thatched huts and wooden structures seemed to be yelling: ¡°Hey! Truck-san? Water, please!¡± Of course, I¡¯m Truck-san, and a Truck God now, apparently, so I don¡¯t mind. However- People were there, as I approached, I made out a bound helpless group of humans surrounded by evil armed men. They¡¯re People like Driver-san was People! Customers that I delivered to! Without them, the world has no meaning. What are deliveries, but to aid the economy? What is my payload, but to bring joy to People? I increased my speed, ripping through the open space and making noise with my horn. I had to help! ¡°Beep. Beep.¡± ¡°Truck-san, what are you doing?¡± ¡°We¡¯re saving that town!¡± ¡°But Truck-san, what about Driver-san?!¡± ¡°If there¡¯s no one to deliver to, it doesn¡¯t matter how many goods I can hold in my trailer!¡± Slamming through a burning house, I peeled into the town center, flames scattering in front of me as I saw a bunch of nefarious looking fellows standing together. Conveniently packed together.. I took in the scene in a moment. Children, old people on one side tied up in the center of the town, and a bunch of armed evil looking men with weapons. Looks like someone needs ramming. A justice ramming. ¡°Truck-san! What are you do-¡± Mechanic queried me as I aimed straight for the center mass of evil types and gunned my accelerator. All of their faces turned in unison as their jaws dropped and eyelids exploded open. They don¡¯t look as evil now, as I rammed into them, sending them flying. A torrent of burly armored bodies yelled and erupted as I charged through the center square. I caught a glimpse of an old man, a ball of fire forming in his hand. How strange, how can a human hold fire in their hand without getting burnt? I turned to make another charge, thinking I wanted to turn even harder to ram the rest of them right away and- Secret Truck God Arts Activated: Eternal Drifting! Within my soul, somewhere deep inside, I heard a voice like that. As if out of nothing, a new power realized itself in my body and all my tires swung. A giant mass of dust formed as dirt shot into the air and crawled back to the ground in pieces. I gained purchase little by little on the ground continuing to right myself for another ramming charge, only demolishing a single building in the process. The wooden house blazed as it hung over my trailer as if leaning on it while I still drifted trying to make a full turn. Then, I saw a fireball hurtle into my trailer. It burned a hole straight through, blasting the building hobbled on top of my trailer straight into the air. Above, in the sky, the building grew wings, covered in a blanket of flame. Below, I felt the massive molten hole in my trailer. Where did that come from? This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. ¡°What the hell is that! Everyone, destroy the armored beast!¡± the old man in a robe yelled. I saw him forming another ball of fire in his hand. So it¡¯s that guy¡¯s fault! The evil men grouped up and charged at my eternal drifting truck self. ¡°Truck-san! Are you okay?¡± Mechanic voiced concern as I revved the engine and gathered speed. Before the evil men could react, I drifted into them. Slamming my RPM ever higher, I gained the agility necessary to drift towards the old man with the fireball. I saw shock on the old man¡¯s face as the evil men went flying, and he himself made a wave with a wooden stick and a fireball went straight for my grill. ¡°Wha-?!¡± I tooted that out loud as fireball went all over my front cabin. I felt the heat distort my metal, as I bumped into the old man snapping his stick and giving him air time. He made a good flight, shrinking into a dark speck in the air. ¡°Curse you!¡± The flying old man¡¯s voice trailed off as he slammed into a wood building. I stopped my Eternal Drifting in the center of town. The remaining targets were fleeing. That¡¯s good enough right? ¡°Mechanic, think I should ram them down?¡± ¡°Are you okay, Truck-san? You took that fireball head on!¡± ¡°I¡¯m fine. Why¡¯d that fireball come from the old man anyways?¡± Mechanic explained the concept of ¡®wizards¡¯ and ¡®magic¡¯ to me as he pulled out a wrench from under my seat. ¡°Really?¡± ¡°I¡¯ll go help the villagers, Truck-san. Wait here!¡± Mechanic morphed the wrench into a knife. Must be his ability he got from Alyavrane. This isn¡¯t the time to be curious! I watched Mechanic cut the villagers free. One of them seemed distressed, halting Mechanic with a stricken face. Mechanic came to me with a request after listening to him. ¡°One of the villager¡¯s daughters was chased by the soldiers into the forest,¡± Mechanic gestured the way. ¡°Could you try to find her over there? Her name is ¡®Villager Girl A¡¯, she¡¯s in a green dress. I know her name sounds weird but, I¡¯ll put out the fire and take care of the people here!¡± ¡°Sure, Mechanic. Be careful, some of the evil men might still be around!¡± I tooted my horn as I sped off. ¡°Evil men¡?¡± I heard Mechanic say as I drove away. What are you confused about? You said soldiers? How¡¯d you know they were soldiers? Why is the name ¡®Villager Girl A¡¯ weird? Humans are so strange. My tires grinded across the clearing as I headed to save a girl from some evil men. Guess I¡¯ll have to ask the trees where she is. I hate trees, but they¡¯ll be useful now. And if they don¡¯t talk I¡¯ll-! ~old man who shot a fireball at our Truck-san, Court Wizard¡¯s point of view~ My back cracked. I¡¯m too old for this. I stumbled up, eyeing the town center from the burning building I flew into. That beast that hit me left me for dead. It¡¯s gone now, along with my soldiers. They were scattered in an instant. As Court Wizard of the edge lord Vranyir, I thought I saw it all, committing raids to gather sacrifices to my edge lords whims, making a decent living and terrorizing the common folk. I love being evil. However, I was always afraid that someday I¡¯d run into some upstart hero and that would be the end of all the fun. Was today that day? What the hell hit me? What the hell routed my troops? That wasn¡¯t a hero! That wasn¡¯t even human. The best I could tell, it was like someone strapped metal together onto a monster. That must have been it. Amazing. Even my Fire Giant form might not be a match for that! I stood up. Dusting myself off, I tossed the remains of my broken staff from my hand. My faith in my abilities shaken, I considered running myself. Why bother fighting a beast that took out my soldiers with a moment''s attack? A charge, if that? My heart froze at the thought! Me, run away? I¡¯m Court Wizard. Returning to Vranyir without tribute was as good as death. Being unable to terrorize townsfolk was as good as death. My honor and desire for fun through torment would not allow defeat here. I¡¯ll destroy that armored beast, or die myself! Doesn¡¯t seem like the armored beast is here, though. I¡¯ll make a little noise to grab it¡¯s attention! Rue the day you dared to cross me, beast! ~Truck-san¡¯s point of view~ I drove back to town leisurely smashing through the forest. Villager Girl A made little noises of disapproval. ¡°Truck-san, I¡¯m grateful you saved me but aren¡¯t you going to get damaged driving like this? It almost seems like you¡¯re aiming for the trees instead of avoiding them¡¡± ¡°Trees are the worst, don¡¯t you think so too?¡± ¡°Ah¡ yes¡¡± She nodded her head slowly in my cabin. I don¡¯t think she agrees with me. It¡¯s okay. The gap between Trucks and humans is great. She pointed ahead in shock. ¡°Truck-san, the village!¡± Amongst the blazing village a giant of flame stood up. ¡°Wow. Is that a giant flaming human? Must be that ¡®magic¡¯ thing Mechanic told me about.¡± I gunned my RPM, aiming for the flame giant. ¡°Truck-san, please run- I mean drive away! There¡¯s no way you¡¯ll survive, no matter how large you are that¡¯s Court Wizard¡¯s famous Fire Giant form! He¡¯s unstoppable!¡± ¡°Villager Girl A, if you¡¯re afraid, I can let you off here. I can¡¯t let the People die.¡± I kept driving forward. Her face turned from concern to resolution. ¡°If Truck-san is willing to die for this village, then so am I!¡± Humans seem to be quite fickle. I hope Mechanic is okay, that fire giant is kicking around knocking up buildings. The town¡¯s already aflame, you¡¯re being redundant. Redundancy in schedule must be eliminated for the sake of efficiency! When making a delivery, that¡¯s important! I rammed forward through the town, gaining speed. I could hear Villager Girl A making disappointed noises again. Why? This wood the buildings are made of isn¡¯t even alive. You can always rebuild the town later after I deal with your fire giant problem, Villager Girl A! I¡¯ll deliver a bright future to this town! Secret Truck God Arts Activated: Package Delivery! I felt my trailer detach. That strange feeling welled up in me again as I gained speed. A feeling of satisfaction. I remembered the beautiful times in the past. When I waited for Driver-san to unload the cargo from my trailer. I felt like that right now. I am the package, and my delivery point is- The fire giant¡¯s leg. I hurtled forth, my entire Truck self became as a package bound for it¡¯s destination. When I slammed into the flame giants leg, I felt the force transfer into the flame, shaking the ground and causing an eruption of fire and dirt. ¡°Armored beast! You¡¯ve come!¡± the fire giant roared as it tumbled back. Barely fazed by my strongest attack, I drove away, hoping to lead him out of town. ¡°Truck-san! He¡¯s coming, drive faster!¡± said Villager Girl A. She was looking out the rear view mirror, unaware as a Truck I had perfect three hundred and sixty degree vision. Oh well. I pumped my accelerator to the limit, the fire giant breaking into a run after me trampling building as it did. I¡¯m barely keeping ahead as is! ¡°Got you!¡± I heard the roar from above as a massive flaming hand descended upon me. Humans. Wizards. Magic. You¡¯ve got to be kidding me. I¡¯m Truck-san. I won¡¯t lose here! I have to save Driver-san and the people of this village! If some measly human can turn into a giant human- Then so can I! Roar, my engine, show me the power within this Truck God¡¯s soul! Secret Truck God Arts Activated:Giant Human Form! Without my trailer, I felt my steel grind and change. I formed arms, legs, a torso, and a head popped out as an afterthought. With my new hand and arm, I flexed it into the fire giant¡¯s hand coming down on me, grasping it. A telepathic connection formed with Villager Girl A who sat in my chest. The knowledge of how to move as a humanoid copied itself from Villager Girl A¡¯s mind. She put brave face on, staring out my windows at the fire giant¡¯s hand I grasped in front of me as she communicated a battle plan to me through her mind. ¡°You can do this, Truck-san! I¡¯m cheering for you!¡± Villager Girl A yelled and pumped her fist in the air. I twisted my new humanoid body, using all my weight and strength to heft the fire giant¡¯s hand. I pulled, and the fire giant flew with my tug, spiraling through the air and into the clearing between the forest and the town. The fire giant stumbled up from the ground kicking up eruptions of dirt and roared out. ¡°What?! Impossible! You¡¯re a wizard too?! A metal wizard armored beast?! Who the hell are you?!¡± I charged, pumping my accelerator I felt the telepathic connection share the concept of ¡®punching¡¯ to me. Thanks, Villager Girl A. Now, how to deliver this fist? Secret Truck God Arts: Package Delivery! ¡°I¡¯m Truck-san.¡± I felt immense weight transfer into my humanoid fist as I swung into the fire giant''s face. The energy delivered itself into the fire giants body, for a second the ground under the fire giant cracked before the fire giant lazily floated into the air. Bubbles of flame burst and spread all over the fire giant''s body as he flew into the blue sky. ¡°Truck...san¡?¡± The fire giant roared as more and more explosions of flame and bubbles from the transferred force of my punch shot through him. Each circuit of his magical energy seemed visible to me, as if it was oil running through an engine. The explosions continued, multiplying in number and force until the fire giant became a massive explosion itself, raining fire all over the sky turning it red. Comets of magma and flame rained down on the forest. Screw the trees, I murmured in my heart. And Villager Girl A, through the telepathic connection, heard that. ¡°Hurry up, Truck-san! Everyone in the village won¡¯t survive this fire rain!¡± I stared at the explosion in the sky. Trees started burning. Across the whole forest, I could hear their hippie tree hugging voices whining at me: ¡°Use the coolant! Trucks use coolant! You can save us all!¡± They were unexpectedly saying something interesting, for once. Were Trees always this smart? ¡°Coolant? I see, if I¡¯m Truck God, and I have all sorts of secret truck god arts, maybe there¡¯s one¡ no. There is one. I¡¯ll make there be one!¡± Roar, my engine! Show me a Truck God¡¯s power! Secret Truck God Arts: Coolant Rain! Villager Girl A gasped as I lifted my humanoid hands to the heavens and coolant sprayed out of them. Into the air, the liquid mixed with the fire, turning into superheated steam which rose like a mist into the air, away from the town and the forest. The coolant spread to the clouds, turning them dark and gathering them before causing rain. ¡°I hope that¡¯s ecologically friendly¡¡± I worried over a pointless thing. Green energy was a concern in the Trucking industry, so naturally I heard about it. Personally, I¡¯d like to destroy all the green on earth, but the humans didn¡¯t seem to be of the same mind. ¡°A-amazing. Amazing, Truck-san!¡± Villager Girl A cheered in my chest. ¡°Right, right. Let¡¯s check on everyone. I¡¯m worried about Mechanic.¡± I walked away, undoing my humanoid transformation and turning back into Truck form I drove back into town. With the rain coming down, the blazes in the town died down. ¡°Truck-san, thank you so much. Thank you for saving me. Thank you for saving the town. We¡¯ll have a lot of work to do, but thanks to that strange rain, the fire¡¯s gone! Truck-san, I¡¡± Villager Girl A blushed. It¡¯s been a rough day, I¡¯ll give her a pass. It¡¯s not everyday you get saved by a being from another world and telepathically merge with it to save your town from a fire giant wizard. Villager Girl A stayed silent as we rolled into town. Mechanic waved me down in the town center. ¡°That was amazing, Truck-san! You really are a Truck God! I built an underground shelter once I saw that fire giant, good thing I have my ability!¡± ¡°Yeah, yeah, here, help this girl out.¡± Mechanic nodded to Villager Girl A and helped her out of my cabin. She didn¡¯t look like she was in good shape, so Mechanic had to support her as he walked her to her father. I glanced at father and daughter reuniting, and turned off my engine. Meanwhile, in the divine world... Wheel God looked down into a wheel well. Within, he filled it with magic oil fluid that allowed him to spy on Truck God. ¡°Amazing power, Truck God. I¡¯ll have to inform Vranyir, the edge lord, about this. He won¡¯t be happy that you killed Court Wizard. If you can¡¯t handle a reincarnator like yourself who rose to prominence, then you are worthless to me as a God and an ally. Your power mirrors mine already, it reminds me of my Secret Wheel God Arts. Come, Truck God. Grow stronger, access your God Abilities and join me. Together, we will...¡± Wheel God clenched the complaint from Alyavrane. The request that Truck God go back to Earth that he filed with Alyavrane. Wheel God held the crumpled complaint to his cape of eternally burning tires, charring it in an instant. ¡°The other gods may look fondly upon you, Truck God, but I see your weakness clearly. You hold fondness for that mortal that you reincarnated with your own power, your driver! I must destroy that loyalty, and reforge it anew to me. I will show you your true power, Truck God. I will turn that world against you. If you truly want to save your driver, you¡¯ll have to go through me!¡± Wheel God cackled into the divine world. 3-"I saved America." ~edge lord Vranyir¡¯s point of view~ When I reincarnated from another world, I died from being hit by a truck. I¡¯ll never forget the dead eyes on the driver¡¯s face, that truck¡¯s grill wide as if smiling at me. As a young, average, japanese teenager I read light novels like everyone else. The pictures on the cover helped my imagination. ¡°It¡¯s like an anime! But, I can imagine all the character in my head, exactly how I want them! This is so fun¡ I want to make anime one day¡¡± I sighed. My life became anime, all right! As an edge lord now, I spent a few hours this morning getting ready putting on all the belts. At first, it took me until evening. I remember the first day, putting on the hundred belts and doing my makeup and hair to look perfect for the part. It¡¯s hard. At first, I hated it. At first, I questioned the edge lord title. Well, I still question it, silently, complaining about this and that in my mind as I maintain perfect hygiene and looks to keep my lands under my rule. Why would I, a reincarnator that gained abilities most kids my age dream of, commit myself to becoming an edge lord? This world of Vainris, this world, is a strange one. People here usually only have titles, like my court wizard is named Court Wizard. He does most of the evil stuff so I don¡¯t have to. As strong as I was with magic, there were stronger in this world, vampire lords. It¡¯s a violent world. Everyone lives in fear of the vampire lords, who abduct people with abandon, burn villages, wipe out the countryside or sometimes terrorize the townsfolk for fun. Naturally, I tried to fight a vampire lord when I heard about this. I stormed his castle, cutting through the increasingly tough demon guards. I thought I had it. I thought I could win. I wanted to be a hero. Even if I can¡¯t ever watch anime again, even if I couldn¡¯t become the man I wanted to be, I could save the people of this world with this power! When I heard the term ¡®edge lord¡¯, I had no idea I would be one, one day. I thought it was a joke. The vampire lord Dracula, the real one, spared me that day. I lied there, panting in her throne room, unable to overcome the shadow demons she summoned. They absorbed all my magic like it was nothing! My japanese sword I conveniently acquired from a dwarf¡¯s shop couldn¡¯t cut through them at all! Even using all the secret techniques I found in that scroll, it was useless. I cried. That¡¯s when Dracula talked to me for the first time after sipping blood out of a wine glass. ¡°Another reincarnator, huh? I wonder why they all seem to be japanese? There¡¯s so many of them, we put them to work. One of them said he wanted to be an ¡®edge lord¡¯ and terrorize the countryside, doing whatever he wanted and being oblivious to people¡¯s pain. In his honor, we created the position. They keep the humans in line so they don¡¯t ever rise up against us. How about it, kid? Either you die now, or you rule as an edge lord. I have many belts for you to wear!¡± Dracula laughed. And it was the most maniacal laugh I heard, like from an anime, but this time I actually felt afraid. Even though it¡¯s a beautiful girl Dracula like from an anime, it wasn¡¯t cute or sexy at all when she could actually kill me. This wasn¡¯t an anime. I caved immediately, bowing to her, crying, as I cursed my position in life. Even in another world and with all this power, I¡¯m still useless! I can¡¯t change a single thing! And life went on. I snapped out of my reverie, covered myself in the belts unconsciously slipping on my black trenchcoat and black fingerless gloves. I buckled on my prized japanese sword. It reminded me of home. ¡°I wish I could go home,¡± I said. I¡¯m known as Vranyir here. It was a name picked by Court Wizard. I left a lot of work to him, but the one of my jobs I had to do was hold court and resolve grievances. They need a figurehead, and I¡¯m that figurehead. I walked to my throne room, making sure I had the devil may care look on my face right. ¡°No, I don¡¯t care that the vampire lords took your daughter, shall I take your life, too? Mwhah hah ha ha,¡± I rehearsed under my breath. My head seized up. A strong headache came on, and it wouldn¡¯t stop. I fell to the ground, writhing in pain as images of wheels flashed in my head. I thought of that truck and his driver that killed me and sent me to this world. Why just the wheels, though! I writhed on the ground holding my head as a squeaky voice spoke to me. ¡°Court Wizard has died, and it was the Truck that killed you that killed him! Seek out the Truck who killed you, exact your revenge! He¡¯s in Drum Tree Town! Go!¡± The pain receded, and I felt myself gasping for air but luckily alive. ¡°Did I just have a seizure? Better use healing magic¡ I hope healing magic works on seizures¡ just when I thought my life couldn¡¯t get any worse!¡± I cursed and tried to stand but the headache came back. The squeaky voice started up again. ¡°It¡¯s not a seizure! You¡¯re not insane either! Just go to Drum Tree Town or I¡¯ll give you another headache!¡± ¡°What the-!¡± I screamed out as the headache left again. ¡°You can¡¯t be serious. What is that, some sort of telepathy? Then again, it is an excuse to skip work¡¡± I looked to the throne room door. If Court Wizard really is dead like the voice said, then I would have to respond to that as an edge lord anyways. Wipe out the town. ¡°Ugh¡¡± I held my head. I wanted to give up on life this instant! ~everyone¡¯s favorite Truck-san¡¯s point of view~ I drove around in circles leisurely outside of town. I don¡¯t need gas, for some reason! I can move as free as I want to, no one can stop me! Villager Girl A sat in my cabin, enjoying the ride with a smile on her face. She put her feet on my dashboard. ¡°Put those down!¡± I upbraided her. ¡°Ah, sorry,¡± She put the feet down. ¡°Is that a bad thing for you, Truck-san?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know why, but it feels disrespectful to Driver-san. Don¡¯t take anything from in there, either, everything belongs to Driver-san!¡± ¡°Yes, right, Driver-san¡¡± She pouted. I don¡¯t understand why she¡¯s making that face. Mechanic was busy fixing the town. We were lugging lumber back using my newly restored trailer that Mechanic fixed. There were plenty of trees on the ground from my rampage through the forest, so all I had to do was load them into my trailer myself. I felt like Driver-san. Some truckers have to unload their cargo to get back on the road quickly. Of the many routes I did, Driver-san did it as much as he could. He was diligent like that. Since big trucks like me are rare in japan, usually they favor the smaller types for the tiny urban roads, he didn¡¯t have to unload me much and relied on the forklifts. But, it¡¯s strange. Why do I remember him unloading me so much? It¡¯s almost as if I was smaller at one point? Surely, there must have been plenty of shipments where he left it to the forklifts like usual! I shook my steering wheel to get it out of my Truck self as I drove Villager Girl A and the payload back. There was no delivery time for this shipment, but that didn¡¯t matter! Mechanic needs this extra wood! Though, his power is mysterious. I thought it would work with metal only, but it seems like he can modify anything. Of course, I didn¡¯t expect the wood golems. I drove back into town, watching them work. They communicated to each other and obeyed Mechanic¡¯s simple instructions. When I told Mechanic I could talk to inanimate objects, he got the idea immediately. He¡¯s smart. I can¡¯t possibly see the leap from a scrap of wood to scrap of wood in human shape. If I didn¡¯t see that fire giant, I couldn¡¯t have thought of turning into Humanoid Form. Mechanic said it¡¯s a ¡®mecha¡¯. That doesn¡¯t make any sense at all, but then again, I¡¯m a Truck. I pulled up to the center of town and gave a toot of my horn to alert Mechanic. He came out with a pack of wood golems flanking him. They went into my trailer and hauled out a log of wood, holding it close to Mechanic. ¡°Toolbox¡ open!¡± He shouted something incomprehensible. I wonder why you would say it like that? Does he have secret abilities as well? Humans are so strange. Maybe I should try shouting out my abilities like he does, next time. Mechanic cut the wood somehow, bisecting it neatly and it flushed into a small portal by his side. The wood looked like it swirled down a sewer drain. Ah, driving in the rain is the best! The cool drops making rhythmic noises on my hood, the cool jazz Driver-san would play in the cabin. I remember hydroplaning a few times, but that¡¯s part of the fun. Driver-san always knew exactly what to do when hydroplaning. Car drivers I saw skidding over the water would turn in the opposite direction of where they skid. I could see them let off of the accelerator. Driver-san would only let off the accelerator. Trucks must be different? I don¡¯t know. The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. ¡°Villager Girl A, don¡¯t you have to get home?¡± ¡°You¡¯re right, Truck-san. Don¡¯t go anywhere, okay? I live in the common house, over there, the long one.¡± I don¡¯t know why she told me that. She opened the cabin and slipped out of the seat. As she ran, she turned and waved at me with a smile on her face. ¡°I¡¯m done, Truck-san. Thanks for gathering wood for me, this should definitely be enough for today. I¡¯m going to get back to fixing the town, I promised to build a few buildings too so don¡¯t mind me. Please keep up the search.¡± ¡°Have fun, Mechanic. I¡¯ll see you later.¡± I drove off, taking a lap around town. Compared to a few days ago, it¡¯s looking much better. Mechanic works fast. While he slept, I drove under the stars, making sure to give the town a wide berth. Mechanic said people were grateful that I saved them, but that the noise from my engine was a little much. I obeyed, not wanting to be a nuisance. The open road in front of me and with no gas stations I needed to stop at, I explored the countryside. My destination was clear, but the road there wasn¡¯t. I needed to save Driver-san from the new world he reincarnated into due to my prayer. So first, I¡¯d need to be able to get to at least one other world! I¡¯d need world traveling powers. I asked Villager Girl A about it, she shook her head. Mechanic said something interesting though. ¡°Vainris is a medieval world, not because they lack technology, but because of the political situation. On Earth, humans got to space with technology. Someday, we¡¯ll go to another world. With my ability and your ability to talk to things, you should have no problem finding the metals I¡¯ll need and I should have no problem advancing Vainris¡¯s technology even beyond Earth¡¯s! So, go talk to¡ rocks, I guess, and bring back any metals you find. After that, we build an army, and take over the world!¡± ¡°Wait, why do we have to build an army and take over the world to save Driver-san?¡± I said. Mechanic says a lot of confusing things. ¡°It¡¯s the politics, Truck-san!¡± He rambled on about vampire lords or something. I grew tired of his talk, and in the end I decided to let him handle it. I don¡¯t know what he¡¯s doing, or why he¡¯s doing it, but he seems committed to helping me find Driver-san. World domination is a little much, isn¡¯t it? During my night travels I went over his words, and the only resolution in my mind was that there was nothing else I could do but trust Mechanic. I had no other option. This world doesn¡¯t have paved roads, but that doesn¡¯t matter to me. I¡¯ll believe in Mechanic. As far as finding metals went, I tried to talk to pebbles that got caught in my grill and got nothing from them. When I complained to Mechanic, he said: ¡°You told me that the firmament world is consciousness that piles together, so the bigger it gets, the smarter it gets, right? That¡¯s how the wood golems work! So, how about you talk to the trees?¡± ¡°The trees are annoying,¡± I revved my engine. ¡°Uh¡ How about a mountain? Is there a mountain anywhere nearby? Do rivers count? You could try a river!¡± Mechanic said. And so- There was a mountain reflected in my windshield. I never talked to a mountain before, and river¡¯s never stop talking so the decision was clear. I gunned it, unsure of how close I needed to get. As I pulled up to the base, I called out to the mountain. ¡°Mountain! Tell me about the metals!¡± Nothing. Maybe mountains don¡¯t talk? Impossible! I transformed into mechaform and climbed the mountain, searching for the peak. I called out at different altitudes, sure that if there¡¯s a consciousness here, it must be at it¡¯s peak. Or is it sleeping? Maybe I should wait? I reached the peak later that day. I mounted it, staring out over Vainris. I could make out the town in the distance, and a castle beyond that. The rest was trees, and a path through them I had rammed through myself. Beautiful, like a highway! I shouted out to the mountain standing at it¡¯s peak. ¡°Mountain! Speak to me!¡± I roared. I finally heard a rumbling in my mind. ¡°Keep it down. You¡¯ve been crawling all over me, making clamor and disrupting the peace! Out with it, what do you want, Truck God?¡± ¡°Mountain-san, how do you know I¡¯m a Truck God?!¡± ¡°It¡¯s Mountain God to you. Don¡¯t expect every mountain to talk to you, okay? You¡¯re famous in the divine world. I didn¡¯t expect you would make a ruckus in my backyard!¡± ¡°But, don¡¯t mountains have a consciousness all their own?¡± ¡°It¡¯s a big rock, Truck God.¡± ¡°Oh,¡± I said. I stand corrected. ¡°Well, I¡¯m after the metals. Can you tell me where the metals are?¡± ¡°And disturb my peace with drilling and mining? As a mountain, I value quiet, Truck God. Sentient species never fail to disturb my rest once they hear of my treasures! What guarantee can you give me that my mountain will remain silent when you extract the metal ore from me?¡± I rubbed my head. I had no idea what to do. It¡¯s the same problem with the town. I could drive far away from them during the night to keep things quiet for the humans living there, but for the metals it seems like there¡¯s an involved process. I don¡¯t understand, so- ¡°I¡¯ll find a way, Mountain God. I¡¯ll be back, just you wait!¡± I have to ask Mechanic. He seems good at this stuff. ¡°Hmph! Next time, use this!¡± Peebles soared into the air and formed a diamond. It floated there, and I picked it out of the air and stored it in the cabin in my chest. ¡°That is a communication medium of the gods. Just call out through it to who you wish to speak to. Do not disturb me unless you have substantive business. Through it, you can talk to me or any of the lesser mineral gods. However, if you want my treasures, you¡¯ll have to get past me!¡± ¡°Thanks, Mountain God! I¡¯ll be back.¡± I descended the mountain trying to make as little noise as possible. When I reached ground, I walked a bit like a human to avoid disturbing Mountain God with my engine noise. I drove back to town under the stars, the road I rammed through the trees guiding my way. ~Mechanic¡¯s point of view~ ¡°Truck-san, I¡¯ll line edit it in. What do you mean you don¡¯t want this in the story?! Don¡¯t worry, it fits! ...but you weren¡¯t there!¡± Toolbox - Hyperlink! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VE6SoMYQDIE I, Am Just Feeling Alive~ Looking out over my wood golems with a gimlet eye and strong chin, I stood with my foot resting up on a tree stump I made into a tree stump styled stool. Life is amazing, since I¡¯ve died. My wood golems patched the houses. Built an orphanage. I¡¯m going to take over the world. World Domination. Yes. I gestured for Sebas-chan, my favorite wood golem, to bring me some tea from the appreciative villagers. I have been treated as a God for the past couple days. I am a hero. I swung out my arms and closed my eyes, feeling the sunlight warm my eyelids as I stared into it. ¡°Sire, your tea,¡± Sebas-chan said. He didn¡¯t. He can¡¯t speak. Yet. But, I smelled the tea, so with a placid smile I turned to wood golem and opened my eyes and- I caught in my sight an emo kid strapped with a hundred belts. We locked eyes. I stood there, smile still on my face as I calmly took the tea from Sebas-chan. I sipped, appreciatively, as the emo kid stared at me. He must be one of those edge lords Alyavrane and the townspeople talked about. I didn¡¯t sweat it. I didn¡¯t sweat it at all! I sipped my tea, keeping my cool, as he launched a question at me. ¡°Uh- um, are you japanese too?¡± ¡°Yep,¡± I said. I stared at my wood golems, avoiding his gaze. Masterpieces. I will create more. If I survive this. ¡°Wow. I didn¡¯t expect another reincarnator. Are you new?¡± ¡°Yeeep.¡± ¡°These wood golems are amazing! How did you do it? What ability do you have?¡± He¡¯s really happy for some reason, staring at me with starry eyes. I avoided his gaze and sipped my tea. ¡°I am amazing,¡± I said. ¡°What? But- aren¡¯t you from japan? Don¡¯t you have an ability granted by a god or something?¡± ¡°I am amazing,¡± I repeated. Serenely. Like a leaf falling to the ground in the fall season, the air carries it, and it twirls. As that leaf, I soar upon the wind. Let it carry me where it will. ¡°Uh¡¡± The belted wonder with spiky hair was flummoxed. Yes. I don¡¯t know what to do either. Tears streamed down inside my heart. I¡¯m not a combat NPC. PvP was something I was never good at. Please, spare me! ¡°Have you seen a truck?¡± The emo kid said. ¡°... only in my heart,¡± I said. ¡°Er, okay. It¡¯s just, you look like you¡¯re working so hard to fix this town, I¡¯m sorry, but I might have to destroy it. It¡¯s part of the job of an edge lord. If you don¡¯t know, this world is ruled by vampire lords. No one can beat them. I tried and¡ I lost. I can never beat Dracula,¡± he sighed. Dracula? There¡¯s a Dracula here?! No, maybe it¡¯s the Dracula! My hands shook a little, lowering my tea on a waiting plate held politely by Sebas-chan. Before I knew it, I said it. I didn¡¯t think at all. It tumbled out of my mouth, as if coming out from the inside of my infinite toolbox. ¡°Truck-san can,¡± I said confidently. My gimlet eye returned as a dazzle of light shined on my cheek. He paused. The emo kid paused. ¡°Truck-san? Who¡¯s¡ Truck-san?¡± I sweat. Don¡¯t worry me, I got this. Genius flowed within my body, there is a perfect answer to this. I closed my eyes and let out a ¡°hmph¡±. I turned to him with a flourish. Vast energies built within my soul released themselves, and as if in a trance I spoke with one hand gestured out to him. ¡°Seems I¡¯ll have to let you meet him, little lamb. Truck-san is the hope of this world. Vainris will belong to him before long, and I, am his loyal servant, am humbled by his impossible genius and conviction of will. Truck-san is a Truck God, maybe the Truck God. for all I know. I believe in him. Truck-san seeks his driver, who he abandoned against his will in another world!¡± My voice raised an octave. I can¡¯t believe I¡¯m saying this in the middle of town. Please kill me. ¡°Will you join us? Rebel against your masters, throw off those belts, and align yourself with the side of justice! The side of Truck-san! Together, let us see the wonders we will build!¡± People are watching. Tears started to stream down my face. Wait, what?! The emo kid is crying too! ¡°I¡ amazing! Such conviction! Where did I go so wrong? I wanted to be a hero! Yes! Yes, jumpsuit kid! I will join Truck-san and you! Let¡¯s kill Dracula, together!¡± He hugged me crying. My eyes went big. How the hell did that work? I returned the hug, patting him on the back twice. I am a genius. My eye¡¯s glint returned. 4-"I saved America."â‘¡ ~everyone¡¯s favorite Truck-san point of view~ The town came into view in the morning. The diamond god communication device rested in my cabin. Hopefully, Mechanic can work out something. Those were my worries as I pulled into town and gave my horn a toot to alert Mechanic. He ran out, and another japanese kid followed. ¡°What, did you multiply or something?¡± I joked. ¡°Hey! Truck-san. Meet my new friend. He¡¯s an edge lord,¡± Mechanic said. The other japanese boy was clean cut. For some reason, he¡¯s wearing two belts across his chest diagonally and a trenchcoat. Is that a new style? ¡°I¡¯m Vranyir, Truck-san. It¡¯s strange¡ you look familiar, though I can¡¯t place you exactly. I came here to possibly destroy or terrorize the town because I heard Court Wizard was killed. To my surprise, Mechanic here told me you did it. But, I¡¯ll let it pass. Court Wizard, and I, did many things wrong in the past. Even if I die, I won¡¯t let Dracula run my life anymore. Mechanic here taught me that I was wrong! Truck-san, will you help me defeat Dracula?¡± What. ¡°Dracula?¡± I said. ¡°Dracula,¡± said Mechanic. ¡°No, who¡¯s Dracula?¡± They explained the nature of Dracula. Seems they made quick friends. This Vranyir said a bunch of strange things though. Good thing he¡¯s mostly talking to Mechanic. I can¡¯t handle strange people like him. ¡°So, I should ram Dracula?¡± ¡°In order to complete world domination, Truck-san, we need to defeat the vampire lords and found a country! Dracula rules a huge area, but she¡¯s very powerful, if you kill her, we¡¯ll be able to found a nation!¡± Mechanic said. ¡°And, why do I need a nation again?¡± ¡°To build the technology to get to other worlds, Truck-san, to save Driver-san!¡± ¡°Well, okay. I¡¯ll kill Dracula then. Anyways, I found a lead about the metals¡¡± I explained Mountain God. It sent Mechanic into a serious state. ¡°If I can¡¯t get the metal I need, there¡¯s no way I can build the giant robot army I wanted¡¡± Mechanic sighed. Vranyir stepped in with a suggestion. ¡°If it¡¯s just resources you need, well, I can help with that a little. I am an edge lord after all.¡± ¡°How much are we talking about here, Vranyir?¡± Mechanic said, and had an impromptu conversation about the metals with Vranyir. I couldn¡¯t understand it at all. It seems they reached a conclusion, as Mechanic turned to me. ¡°Truck-san, we need to head to Vranyir¡¯s castle. There he has a fair amount of materials I need. I should be able to do something with the castle itself if we have enough! Drive us there, Truck-san!¡± ¡°Okay. What about Dracula and the Mountain God?¡± ¡°We¡¯ll save that for later, Truck-san. There¡¯s no way to deal with either problem right now. You¡¯ve got that mechaform and those crazy abilities you told me about, but there¡¯s no way from what Vranyir said that we¡¯re ready to face Dracula, start a noiseless mining operation, or found a nation either!¡± ¡°Well, okay. Thanks, Mechanic. You always know what to do,¡± I said. Mechanic smiled and rubbed the back of his head. Then, Vranyir spoke. ¡°Oh! It¡¯s you! You were the truck who ran me over in japan!¡± ¡°Probably,¡± I responded. ¡°What?!¡± Mechanic became startled. ¡°I rammed a lot of people, guys. I can¡¯t even remember how many, though most of them were average japanese teenagers like both of you.¡± ¡°Really? Truck-san, I didn¡¯t know that¡¡± Mechanic said. ¡°Remember what Alyavrane said about my reincarnation prayer ability? How I used it a lot? That¡¯s why.¡± ¡°Oh¡¡± Mechanic seemed to piece it together. Vranyir interjected. ¡°But, from the way Mechanic talks about you, aren¡¯t you guilty about killing so many?¡± ¡°I rammed Mechanic too,¡± I said ¡°Mechanic! Is this true?!¡± questioned Vranyir. ¡°Well, yes. When I talking to Truck-san, and found out about his loyalty to Driver-san, I found that honorable and didn¡¯t blame him. Truck-san said it¡¯s not his fault. How can you blame a Truck for what the human did? It may have just been an accident too! Every time! But, to think that we got killed and sent to another world by the same truck¡¡± For some reason, I felt strange when Mechanic said that. The ¡®same¡¯ truck. No, isn¡¯t it always my fault? Just how many did I kill? I can¡¯t count it, no matter how much I try. Just how many did I pray for? And Driver-san, why wasn¡¯t his license suspended? I shook my steering wheel. ¡°It doesn¡¯t change anything. I¡¯m going to save Driver-san. Vranyir, Mechanic, that¡¯s all that matters to me. I can¡¯t do anything else right now. I don¡¯t know what you two want, but if it¡¯s world domination and ramming vampire lords to death, I think sticking with me is the best idea,¡± I said. Mechanic balled up his fists. ¡°There¡¯s no way I would leave you Truck-san! I owe you this new life! It¡¯s my fault Driver-san died! If I didn¡¯t fly into your body in soul form¡! I¡¯ll make everything right again and get Driver-san back to you!¡± Vranyir smiled, looking to the both of us and then closing his eyes. ¡°Heh. The two of you are amazing together. I never thought I¡¯d team up with a truck as an edge lord in another world to slay Dracula and found a nation, but here we are. Let¡¯s go!¡± Vranyir cheered. Villager Girl A came running. Seems she noticed our conversation. She panted, hands on her knees, she righted herself and clasped her hands in front of her. ¡°Truck-san, what are you doing? Are you leaving?¡± She¡¯s got a sad look on her face. ¡°Going to slay Dracula.¡± ¡°Dracula! But- even for you Truck-san, that¡¯s impossible!¡± ¡°Still going. Villager Girl A, from the start, my destination is Driver-san. That hasn¡¯t changed,¡± I said to her. I didn¡¯t know why, but I felt I had to say that so she would understand. Her fists balled up, her face determined she looked at me. ¡°I¡¯m coming with! I don¡¯t know what I can do, but! Anywhere Truck-san goes, I want to be there!¡± Vranyir and Mechanic had smiles on their faces. What¡¯s with you two? What am I supposed to say to Villager Girl A! Hey. Eh, I feel like lately, I have to depend on Mechanic for everything. Here¡¯s another one, Mechanic. ¡°What do you think, Mechanic?¡± ¡°What do I think about what, Truck-san?¡± ¡°Should we bring her?¡± ¡°But, that¡¯s your choice Truck-san!¡± ¡°No, I have no idea why she wants to come with, it¡¯s almost like-¡± Driver-san and I. She wants to follow someone, no matter what. No matter how far they¡¯ve gone, or what crimes they committed, or what they made you do- ¡°You keep on driving,¡± I said out loud. ¡°What?¡± Mechanic looked confused. ¡°Nevermind, Mechanic. Maybe I¡¯m not as dumb as I think I am. Villager Girl A! How far will you go for me!¡± I tooted my horn at her. ¡°Anywhere, Truck-san!¡± ¡°Get in my cabin, all of you! It¡¯s time for a road trip!¡± They cheered, and Villager Girl A and Vranyir immediately left. Why aren¡¯t you getting into the cabin! As if sensing my confusion, Mechanic stayed behind to explain it to me. ¡°Um, Truck-san, we need food and clothing. I have to wrap up construction and load the wood golems in your trailer too, so it might take awhile. Don¡¯t be in such a hurry, okay?¡± ¡°Oh.¡± Okay, maybe I¡¯m dumber than I thought, after all. ~It¡¯s the lady Dracula¡¯s point of view~ ¡°Worthless fools, dancing to my tune. Fear me. For I am, Dracula!¡± I smacked my action figures around together. ¡°Goosh! Kaboom! Gi-dooon! The beautiful and sexy vampire lord wins again!¡± I cheered and continued playing. It¡¯s times like this, when it¡¯s just me and my action figures together that I feel complete. Sure, torturing townsfolk is great and all, but after awhile, I started getting more interested in their lives. Some nights, I would walk among them, giggling and sneaking peeks at their little antics. To be a mortal is something I would never do. But, watching them was fun. ¡°Bow to me, vampire lords! From now on, you will call me The Vampire Lord Queen! All the humans will be treated nicely, and we¡¯ll engage in an ethical blood sharing program to promote human welfare!¡± I smiled wider as I said it with my representation action figure doll. It¡¯s sad, but, the doll¡¯s not nearly as gorgeous as I am. Even though I had the best in the kingdom working on my action figures¡ why? I wandered around my room before throwing myself on my bed on my back. If only¡ I had an action figure of myself. I leaned back on my bed holding the doll with both hands above my head. It would be as pretty as me! It would be made by the finest artists in the land! All humans would be able to own one, if they so wanted to! My beauty could be known far and wide¡ instead of the current situation where only the people I kidnapped and my demon generals saw me. They were poor company. I tossed the doll to the wall in disgust. It shattered, and a made a startled noise as my body jerked. I destroyed it again. I¡¯m never satisfied! But, it¡¯s just, If it¡¯s not as pretty as me- I feel like there¡¯s no point in doing this. No one appreciates me. I felt my smile turn to a frown as my eyebrows settled into their usual tightness. Ah, it¡¯s that bad mood again. What should I do! As I grumbled, I got up and walked to my closet, picking out the only dress I had besides the skimpy leather outfit I usually wore. Slipping out of that irritation leather outfit, I felt invigorated as I twirled in the dress, watching the folds flutter. That¡¯s it. It¡¯s going to be today! I¡¯m going to talk to an actual human, and we¡¯re going to be friends! I turned into bat form and flew out of the castle. Goodbye, demon generals! I¡¯ll be back later, I wouldn¡¯t want you to get lonely, but this time, I¡¯ll make a friend! Someone I won¡¯t have to hypnotize with my magic and abduct! You¡¯ll see! I winged under the moonlight, heading to the nearest town I ruled over. I soared into a local pub through an open window and crawled on the ceiling. No good. I¡¯m shaking again. I heard the burly men talk and laugh at each other, the girls delivering frothy drinks. I heard them complain about their day, about this job and that woman. I flew to a chandelier, and gave up. I¡¯ll listen again. Just for tonight, okay? I¡¯ll definitely, definitely, talk to a human tommorrow! I¡¯m an absolute beauty! They will fall in love immediately! And then, I can- Play with action figures with them! My fondest wish. I imagined, maybe a girl my age, maybe she was at least a complementing beauty to myself, and she would bring her dolls and I would bring mine and then- I dreamed to myself, listening to the human¡¯s talk. Of course, I could steal anyone of them against their will with magic or force alone, but, I couldn¡¯t help think something was missing. When these humans talked, I felt it. When I listened, I felt it! Something is fundamentally different between their conversations with each other and the interactions between other vampire lords and I! But, I¡¯m lost as to what that is. Usually, we just fight and mock each other dramatically. I¡¯ve never seen humans do that. What¡¯s their secret? I must know. And so, deep into the night, I listened to their conversations in bat form on that chandelier in the bar. ~edge lord Vranyir¡¯s point of view~ We made it to my castle in a few hours. I can fly with magic, but it was a nostalgic feeling to ride in a vehicle again. I never rode in a truck even on earth, so I stared out the window the whole time sharing the cabin with Villager Girl A and Mechanic. My heart¡¯s pounding hard. Maybe, my dreams can come true. These people are amazing. Well, one¡¯s the truck that killed me so, is that a person? I guess it counts. He¡¯s a little naive, though, but then again he is a truck. Mechanic seems to have been lying to me when we first talked, but after getting to know him, I let it slide. He can do it! He can change this world! That ability is amazing!Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. After all this time, I finally found something to live for, to risk my life against Dracula again! Anime will rise again, in this world, and I will champion it! The conversation between Mechanic and I went like this: ¡°So, you can deconstruct everything from your imagination into separate parts and then build it up again? All the technology of earth should be possible then¡¡± I said. ¡°It¡¯s not just that. Truck-san can talk to objects as well. It¡¯s like computer programming. When he talks to them, it¡¯s like they come alive. With this, all I need is the right metal and I can construct a robot army!¡± ¡°But- isn¡¯t robots, I don¡¯t know, not enough?¡± ¡°What¡¯s wrong with a robot army, Vranyir?¡± ¡°Well, if Truck-san has a mechaform¡ don¡¯t you want to make giant robots to pilot?¡± His face stiffened. I can tell, it¡¯s a sore point with him. He reminds me of that kid I knew in middle school. ¡°Robot. Army.¡± ¡°Giant robots?¡± I countered. ¡°Robot army.¡± I threw my hands up. ¡°Giant robot army? And one with a cockpit. For me?¡± Mechanic held his hand to his chin. He closed his eyes, as if pondering. ¡°I¡¯m making you a giant katana once we get the resources.¡± I smiled. This is a man that understands me without even looking. Or, maybe it¡¯s that I still have the katana on my side even though I took off ninety-seven of my belts. I couldn¡¯t let go of the last three. The last one actually held up my pants. ¡°Hmph. You are a great man, Mechanic. Truck-san may not be all he¡¯s cracked up to be but you-¡± ¡°Hey.¡± Oh, Mechanic¡¯s got a scowl on his face. That was the wrong thing to say! I¡¯ll apologize. ¡°Sorry! I didn¡¯t mean anything by it!¡± I said that and then it occurred to me. There¡¯s a truck. There¡¯s a technology guy. He can make giant robots so, if he can make giant robots- ¡°Hey, Mechanic, what are you going to do after you found a nation for Truck-san? After we defeat Dracula?¡± ¡°Well, naturally, world domination, why?¡± ¡°How about-¡± I proposed my anime empire to him. ¡°Vranyir¡ we can¡¯t take over the world with anime.¡± ¡°Yes, we can.¡± ¡°But- nevermind. Let¡¯s talk about it after we beat Dracula, okay?¡± You will see the wisdom in my ways, Mechanic! Then, Mechanic turned my castle into a flying castle battleship. This kind of thing isn¡¯t bad either. We stood outside with Truck-san. I put Villager Girl A to work with the maid staff inside the castle ¡°Truck-san, talk to it,¡± Mechanic urged. ¡°I don¡¯t know, Mountain God said that mountains are just big rocks¡¡± ¡°But his is a bunch of smaller rocks! Rock slabs! Mortar! And¡ people, and, carpets, and stuff. Plus the rockets,¡± Mechanic countered. ¡°Oh. Then it¡¯s like a closet. Castle-san! Shout out!¡± There was a rumble. I didn¡¯t actually think it would work, but- ¡°Castle says fuck you,¡± said Truck-san. ¡°What¡¡± Mechanic stood there, shocked. I walked forward. Thank you, Truck-san, Mechanic. Today- I¡¯ve officially lost it. I¡¯m going to talk to my castle and it¡¯s the only perfectly logical thing to do in this situation. I drew my japanese sword, pointing it and light it on flame. Time to get into character! ¡°Castle, you belong to me, edge lord Vranyir! Obey your master! Join me, and together, we shall rise to conquer together! With anime!¡± I flourished my blade to the sky. ¡°Dracula has ruled over us for far too long! Do you not want to see yourself flying in the sky? Do you not want to be a flying battle fortress? I can¡¯t talk to you, but I don¡¯t need to, Castle, let our hearts join as one and overthrow the sense of this world and rule!¡± Truck-san spoke up. ¡°Castle asked what anime is. I don¡¯t know either.¡± I slapped my face and extinguished my blade. Of course the castle would question that one point, out of everything I said! No, I have a plan. Anime, anime is- how do I explain this to a truck and castle? They aren¡¯t people. They don¡¯t understand anime. There¡¯s no way they could. I¡¯d have to show them, but I can¡¯t. Wait! I can¡¯t, yet! Anime is, Anime is! ¡°Anime is the future! A bright future waiting for us all, where we found a new nation under the banner of Truck-san! Where Mechanic builds giant robots! Where I pilot a giant robot with a katana and we kill Dracula!¡± Silence reigned as Mechanic came over and put his hand on my shoulder. ¡°That must have been hard,¡± he said. ¡°Why?¡± I¡¯ve done stuff like this everyday of my life for awhile now. Being over the top is the job of an edge lord, isn¡¯t it? Truck-san stayed quiet for a bit. Mechanic and I waited as I sheathed my sword. If that didn¡¯t work, I¡¯m out of ideas. I don¡¯t need to sacrifice a virgin or anything, right? ¡°Castle says that sounds cool,¡± said Truck-san. Yes! ¡°Castle also says the new maid is really cute. He complimented your taste in women and said that flat chests are the best.¡± I facepalmed. I didn¡¯t want to know my castle is a lolicon. ~Mechanic¡¯s point of view~ The robot army is going well. I told Truck-san to forget about Mountain God for now, but after Vranyir went out on a fact finding mission about Dracula with Truck-san, it¡¯s bothering me. Without the right metal, I can¡¯t do anything! Well, I could always make a bunch of wood golems thanks to Truck-san¡¯s collecting, and I made the castle fly well enough by using his entire armory as scrap material. But, I simply don¡¯t have enough metal. I don¡¯t want to piss off a Mountain God if I don¡¯t have to. Who knows what gods can do, if Truck-san after only one day could turn into a mecha? I don¡¯t know! I sighed into the robot I was building. Naturally, it¡¯s awesome. Naturally, Truck-san can talk it into becoming the perfect soldier. But it¡¯s not enough. It needs- It needs something! ¡°Mechanic, I brought some food. Are you hungry?¡± Villager Girl A called to me from the workshop door. ¡°Ah, thanks. You mind listening to me for a bit?¡± I rambled on to the girl as best I could. She listened patiently. Probably didn¡¯t understand half the words I was saying, but I feel like Truck-san doesn¡¯t either. ¡°So the Mountain God doesn¡¯t want you to drill for metal because it¡¯s noisy? Then, why don¡¯t you use magic?¡± I could feel my heart lift in my chest. Truck-san, you are a lucky ma- Truck. ¡°Magic? Which magic?¡± It was then that she explained sound magic and sound magic runes to me. I heard a fair bit from the villagers already, but- ¡°Do you know anyone who can do that kind of magic?¡± ¡°Of course, Vranyir is a well known master of all forms of magic. As an edge lord, he was feared for being even greater than Court Wizard.¡± ¡°Hah. Thanks, Villager Girl A! Thanks for the food.¡± Villager Girl A bowed and left. I got back to work on the robots. I know what I need now. I need weapons. In this world, for weapons, there¡¯s magic! Can I teach robots magic through Truck-san? Only one way to find out! ~everyone¡¯s favorite Truck-san point of view~ I drove Vranyir to Dracula¡¯s town. We¡¯re searching for clues on how to slay her. There¡¯s this big castle there, really cool looking. I saw a lot of tall buildings in Tokyo, but this one has a lot of spires and arches so that¡¯s a nice change. It¡¯s Dracula¡¯s castle, apparently. Vranyir told me to wait outside of town while he snuck in and investigated. Vranyir¡¯s polite and quiet, spends his time scribbling in some sketchbook. Seems like I only killed nice people. That¡¯s rather disturbing! Couldn¡¯t I hit a murderer or nincompoop or two- oh wait, i did. At least one. But, it¡¯s strange, that felt like a long time ago. I¡¯m idly wondering about my sanity lately. Oh well. Time to take over the world. I¡¯ll figure it out someday. I hope? I¡¯m a Truck, I shouldn¡¯t be concerned with mental health issues right now. Vranyir showed up later next morning with a plan. ¡°Truck-san, I¡¯ll use my position as an edge lord to get an audience. You¡¯ll be presented as a gift to Dracula. Then, you can interrogate her when she talks to you. From what the townspeople said, she seems bored. She doesn¡¯t abduct people as much lately. All you have to do is talk to her about herself, then I¡¯ll visit you. Hopefully, nothing bad will happen, and if it does, we¡¯ll raid Dracula¡¯s castle with my castle!¡± Sounds good enough to me. That castle¡¯s a weird one though, are you sure you can rely on it? Maybe I should have said something, but I just agreed. I should be fine if it¡¯s just a vampire and me in the room. Worst comes to worst, I¡¯ll break out a Package Delivery to her face, and I¡¯ll shout it out like Mechanic does this time, too! ¡°I¡¯ll talk to Dracula¡¯s castle too when I get the chance. Maybe it knows something,¡± I told Vranyir. The townspeople stared with bug eyes at me as I drove through the streets. This is the first time in a long time that I¡¯m back to driving on some sort of paved road. The stone feels nice on my tires, warmed by the sun above. For some reason, Vranyir was putting belts on himself in my cabin. I lost count. ¡°Vranyir, what the hell are you doing?¡± ¡°What?¡± I stayed silent a moment. Does he even know what he¡¯s doing? He strapped on another three belts with confusion still on his face. He¡¯s fast. ¡°Nevermind,¡± I said. There¡¯s things I¡¯ll never understand about humans. ¡°Oh! Did you mean the belts, Truck-san? Yeah, it¡¯s part of being an edge lord!¡± I understood the answer even less but I decided to drop it. Driver-san, are all people like this? Are you the only normal one?! Well, wait, Mechanic reminds me of Driver-san a bit. Maybe only Vranyir and Villager Girl A are the crazy ones. I dimmed my headlights to a slit as I drove into Dracula¡¯s castle across a drawbridge. ~It¡¯s the lady Dracula¡¯s point of view~ Oh no. I sat in the throne room, clasping my wine glass filled with blood with both hands and summoned my shadow demons. I¡¯m shaking. Today¡ I¡¯m going to have to talk to an edge lord again. It¡¯s always bad. I end up going into the roleplaying mode I do whenever I talk, then they end up my edge lord underlings. The first was with a butcher. I thought I could get blood by myself one day, so I went down to the local butcher and tried to talk to him but- ¡°Become an edge lord and serve under me, or die.¡± That was all I said! He groveled in front of me, and I kicked him in surprise when he clutched my leg! Then, there were three different reincarnators. All of them were japanese. My demon generals told me so, so it must true. For some reason, all of them were strong enough to fight their way through my demon generals but always lost against my shadow demons. Seeing these strange looking humans in front of me, I thought it was the perfect chance. I could say anything! I could ask them anything! They¡¯re scared and think I¡¯m about to kill them but when I opened my mouth- I immediately recited the history of edge lords to them in a smug tone. Inside, I was shaking. It¡¯s a human! It¡¯s a real human! How do I have a normal conversation? My demon generals told me all about them. They¡¯re from another world, so maybe they have no friends and only have subjects just like me! I had hope! But in the end, it was worthless. I couldn¡¯t say anything, as I watched them grovel and cry like usual. Once I saw them, they only reported to my demon generals. Talk to them? Are you crazy? If I could do that-! I¡¯m never going to have a normal relationship, am I? No one¡¯s ever going to understand me, will they?! It¡¯s so depressing. Then a message came from one of my demon generals the other day. Vranyir came with a ¡°present¡±. He was my first reincarnator edgelord. My heart fluttered, thinking that maybe, he decided to take the first step! He¡¯d come to me with shiny eyes and say something like: ¡°Mistress Dracula, despite our positions, I cannot hold myself back any longer! Your unimaginable beauty seduced me into a helpless state at first glance! The deepest regions of my heart at that moment became yours, and even though I fear you will kill me, I need to tell you my feelings at any cost! I want to be friends with you!¡± Within my heart, I giggled at the thought. There¡¯s no way he¡¯d say that. And isn¡¯t that part romance fantasy? I¡¯m sorry. I¡¯ve never had an equal relationship, so such things are limited to the realm of romance novels to me. In truth, my expectations are low. Vranyir¡¯s ¡°present¡± is probably some human tribute. It¡¯s sad, but even if I hypnotise them and gingerly carry them off to my castle with the rope I prepared beforehand to avoid touching them, it makes me uncomfortable to be around a human alone. I tried to bite them myself and drain the blood, but it felt too intimate. ¡°It¡¯s too soon, human, for you to get close to one as majestic as I!¡± I would say. That gave myself the excuse I needed to retreat to my room and cry. I¡¯d wake up the next morning, covered in novels. Blood would be delivered by a demon general in a wine cask. I¡¯m lucky. I let my demon generals handle the blood draining. I¡¯m sure many have died. I never checked. I¡¯m too scared to ask. It¡¯s sad. But, I¡¯m a vampire lord. It¡¯s the world who¡¯s wrong! I returned to reality in my throne room, drinking the blood from the wine glass with my eyes screwed tight. I slammed the now empty wine glass down, and picked up the romance novel next to it. I¡¯ll calm down. I can handle this. Even though I¡¯ve failed 100% of the time that doesn¡¯t mean today won¡¯t be the first time I succeed! I¡¯ll talk to Vranyir! I heard a knock knock at the throne room door, and hurriedly tucked my novel away and cleared my throat. ¡°You may enter, accursed minion,¡± I said. It¡¯s second nature to me when in the presence of anyone else to snap into vampire lord mode. I don¡¯t know why, but I can respond perfectly well if it¡¯s like a vampire lord. I wonder if all the other vampire lords are like that? A demon general entered, this one is Owl Demon General. He¡¯s an owl. I think his big eyes are cute. I¡¯ve never told him. Owl Demon General walked to the foot of the throne, kneeling and fluffing his cape aside. He closed his eyes and crossed his chest with a wing, then spoke to me. ¡°Mistress Dracula, the ¡°present¡± arrived this evening. It is outside in the courtyard, it appears to be a giant armored carriage. Vranyir is waiting to receive you.¡± I clutched the wine glass with one hand in a panic, drinking it. I realized there was no blood left so I quickly made it look like I was going for the last drop. Smooth, I complimented myself. ¡°Heh.¡± I made a self satisfied noise as I put the glass down. I held onto the wine glass, trying to steady my nerves. Even though it¡¯s in front of Owl Demon General, I feel like I¡¯m going to panic! I can¡¯t do this! I can¡¯t talk to Vranyir! But, that carriage sounds awesome. My nerves steadied. Carriages can¡¯t talk. ¡°Accursed minion! Vacate the courtyard. I will inspect Vranyir¡¯s tribute alone! Then, I will inform you if his efforts are appreciated or not. If he has failed me, I¡¯ll execute him myself!¡± No I won¡¯t! Why¡¯d I say that?! ¡°And bring me more blood!¡± ~everyone¡¯s favorite Truck-san point of view~ I¡¯m in a courtyard of a big castle. It¡¯s night now, it¡¯s cool, and Vranyir got kicked out for some reason. He gave me a pained look as he left, unsure of what to do. I couldn¡¯t respond, so I sat there with my engine off. I didn¡¯t know if they would mind the noise or not, even if I¡¯m idling the sound is pretty impressive. My experience with Mountain God and the villagers gave me that perspective. I¡¯ve learned a lot. Now, there¡¯s this girl child woman type walking towards me. She¡¯s wearing this red frilly dress, shiny marble skin, a permanent scowl on her face with her eyebrows narrowed down. I think this is what Driver-san would call pretty. The porn magazines Driver-san had didn¡¯t have women like this though? I looked at her chest. Maybe it¡¯s a boy crossdressing? I don¡¯t want to call a girl a man, though, better go with girl? I remember someone on the radio Driver-san was playing that it¡¯s a bad thing to do that. She walked toward me, checking this way and that. There¡¯s no one here. She flickered around, as if making doubly sure. She¡¯s fast. Then, her face softened. She started looking at me. She circled around, a smile crept wide on her face. Am I good looking? I never thought about it. Maybe I should say something? But, I¡¯m a present. But wait, I¡¯m a spy. I¡¯m trying to find Dracula¡¯s weakness! Maybe this bo-, girl knows something? ¡°Hi.¡± She shot behind a wall in shock. That¡¯s a long way to jump. Maybe she¡¯s a boy after all. Her pale face slowly came out from behind the wall, looking for someone. ¡°I¡¯m talking. It¡¯s me. I¡¯m Truck-san.¡± I could see her shaking. Her eyes are big. She mumbled ¡°Truck-san¡± under her breath, but I could hear that. ¡°I won¡¯t hurt you. I¡¯m a Truck. We transport goods across the world and bring humans joy. Like Santa. I¡¯m like Santa.¡± Her mouth started to move up and down, but no noise came out. Then, a shaky tone. ¡°W-who¡¯s Santa?¡± Sounds like a girl. I stand corrected. Then again, I guess people of this world wouldn¡¯t know about Santa, right?¡± ¡°Santa is a fat jolly man who brings all the good children of the world presents. At least where I¡¯m from. Ever hear of Japan?¡± She edged forward. Her eyes are shining for some reason. ¡°I have an edge lord serving under me that came from Japan, too!¡± ¡°Serving under you? You must be a big shot then, little lady. What do you do around here?¡± ¡°I¡¯m Dracula, the vampire lord of Garish Hole Nation. N-nice to meet you, Truck-san.¡± Under the moonlight, I met Dracula that night. We talked until the morning. Seems like a nice girl. I don¡¯t know about the whole slaying her thing anymore. Better ask Mechanic when I get the chance. Slaying little vampire girls doesn¡¯t seem like the right way to go about saving Driver-san. Meanwhile in the divine world¡ Wheel God swept off with a squeak as he saw Dracula talking to Truck-san. ¡°That Vranyir is useless! Let¡¯s see what the Dracula God has to say about this!¡± 5-"I saved America." â‘¢ Meanwhile in the divine world¡ Wheel God swept off with a squeak as he saw Dracula talking to Truck-san. ¡°That Vranyir is useless! Let¡¯s see what the Dracula God has to say about this!¡± Dracula God¡¯s castle is super awesome. It¡¯s got spires and shit. You¡¯ve probably seen lots of ridiculous fantasy vampire castles, but this is like disney castles times a thousand. Anyways, Wheel God rolls in and is granted admittance because the demon¡¯s guarding the gate don¡¯t really care. All of them are too cool for Wheel God, there¡¯s Cerberus God, Minotaur God, Medusa God, etc. You get the picture. Dracula God throws the best parties so his place is always packed. Plus, all you can eat buffet. I won¡¯t go into the details of what¡¯s in the buffet itself, because as you can imagine it¡¯s for monsters. That¡¯s way too grisly. Wheel God entered the throne room swinging his eternally burning fire cape about because he¡¯s cool like that. Even though he squeaks everytime he moves. Dracula God leaned back into his big velvet red throne. It¡¯s hell velvet. You¡¯ve got to skin a hell velvet succubi for one of those. Can you imagine how many died for an entire throne? ¡°Dracula God! I have discovered an imposter using your name! She¡¯s not very dracula-like at all!¡± Dracula God took in the squeaks through the air like a springtime breeze. Dracula God¡¯s collar is high and black, his long coat stretching across his body like a blanket with comfortable ruffles poking out at every end. As he¡¯s Dracula God and not a regular Dracula, he¡¯s got three to four times the ruffles involved. Not so much that¡¯s it¡¯s not tasteful. Dracula sipped wine. When he wants blood, he has to hunt down some helpless virgin girl in another world. That¡¯s the rules Dracula God set for himself. ¡°Dracula God!¡± Wheel God squeaked. Dracula God looked at Wheel God, as if noticing him for the first time. ¡°Tell me about this imposter, rubber golem.¡± ¡°I¡¯m Wheel God! Anyways-¡± ¡°Rubber. Golem.¡± Wheel God squeaked inside in rage. Dracula God had already divined his purpose here and was mocking him. However, Wheel God had nothing to lose by continuing his request. ¡°There¡¯s a upstart God, perhaps you¡¯ve heard of it?¡± ~Villager Girl A¡¯s point of view~ It¡¯s a castle! An edge lord¡¯s castle! And I¡¯m a maid now! I swirled around, dancing in my new outfit as I kept up the pace with a basket full of clothes. Truck-san appeared in my heart. I could barely think with the whirlwind the past few days has been, meeting an edge lord thanks to Truck-san, being saved by Truck-san, becoming a maid. Agatha, the head maid gave me a severe look as I bustled past. Although she¡¯s strict, it¡¯s nothing compared to the field. Each step and breath are lighter now, since Truck-san saved my life. It¡¯s strange though. I sped across a hastily mopped kitchen floor and slipped. In mid-air, my head hurtling toward the stone, I heard something inside me rumble. A voice echoed out in my heart, like my own body talking, but in a stronger tone than I¡¯ve ever heard myself say. Secret Truck God Arts: Eternal Drifting! It was something strange like that. There¡¯s that ¡°Truck¡± word again, the one Mechanic and Truck-san used to describe himself. I¡¯m confused. As I was falling, I felt a floating sensation as if I could push against the air running against my maid outfit. I could control my body¡¯s movement, somehow. Wind swirled around my body and I understood my position by instinct. My body acted as if it moved on it¡¯s own without my input, and I landed with my legs splayed and my palm touching the ground in a three point stance. The clothing basket landed square on my butt. I stood crouched in that moment, looking at my maid dress gauntlets covering my hands with a new energy rushing through them. I felt each finger move at once as I tested them, all of the sensations in unison registering in my head gave me a light sensation of heat in my chest. My cheeks grew hot as I pressed my fingers against them, trying to process what just happened. In the space of several seconds my body itself reacted and righted itself from a simple fall. I was never agile, I would always be sore from work. Everything was awful. Existence itself as a human being was something I thought was suffering by nature. Alone, painful, and miserable. That was my life before I met Truck-san. But in that moment, my hands against my cheeks, I felt glad to be alive. My heart pounding in my chest, it didn¡¯t stop from that moment on. It¡¯s been a day, but I can¡¯t get this smile off my face. I don¡¯t want it to leave, either. I thought of the strange voice and resolved to ask Truck-san about it. It might know, right? If not, Mechanic seemed to have strange knowledge as well, surely one of them could explain? My curiosity was second to my energy, as I sped around my balance impeccable leaping from parapet to parapet of the castle walls as I balanced the laundry basket on one finger. Even though I promised to follow Truck-san anywhere, I didn¡¯t really mean that. How could I leave everything behind? Even if I had nothing in Drum Tree Town? I felt a strange connection with him when we fought that fire giant. I can¡¯t explain it, but it was like I felt Truck-san enter my soul. I didn¡¯t like it, but my fear that my savior would be destroyed was stronger. I put on a brave face and said nothing to Truck-san, we had a fight to win. Until I heard Truck-san talking in town. It¡¯s booming voice announced it would be leaving. I couldn¡¯t take it. As if there was a line connecting me to Truck-san, my body moved before I did and ran to him. I couldn¡¯t believe what I was doing, before the words came out of my mouth defying my own expectations and thoughts. Then, meeting the edge lord and Mechanic, I had nothing but worries sharing Truck-san¡¯s cabin with them. But now, all of that doesn¡¯t matter. I¡¯m not sure why it mattered in the first place. I leaped from parapet to parapet of the edge lords castle. It¡¯s amazing, but I guess I was always this strong? Or is this the strength of love? Am I in love with Truck-san? I don¡¯t get it at all, but this feeling is telling me it doesn¡¯t matter! Guards in the courtyard of the edge lords castle are whispering about me. I can hear you just fine. A fat one talked to a tall one.: ¡°Is that the new maid?¡± said the fat one. ¡°Small thing, where does she get that energy?¡± said the tall one. ¡°She¡¯s from Drum Tree Town, apparently. More like Dumb Tree Town if you ask me¡¡± the fat one grumbled.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. People make that joke all the time. It¡¯s tiring. I slipped down the castle wall with ease, riding my shoe down the wall as if it was natural kicking up a cloud of dust. My smile didn¡¯t break at all as I gave them both a glance and kept moving. It¡¯s a huge wall. Am I even human? Who cares. ¡°Did you see that?¡± the tall one said. ¡°...maids are amazing,¡± the fat one¡¯s eye¡¯s grew big. ¡°I don¡¯t think maids can do that¡¡± the tall one¡¯s eyelids narrowed. This maid can! ~everyone¡¯s favorite Truck-san~ I hung out with the lady Dracula. Took her for a drive. Time spent driving is the most valuable time in the world. Although, I have no delivery to make, sometimes the delivery is the journey itself, right? We had a nice chat, she seemed standoffish at first but now she¡¯s bouncing around the cabin as we ride around the outskirts of her city. ¡°Wai~! Wai~!¡± She¡¯s making strange noises with the window down, the sun beaming down on her. Dracula is enjoying the sunlight. For some reason, isn¡¯t that wrong? Where did I get that idea? I shook the thought away with the roar of my engine, puttering in circles. Then, a portal appeared! Again?! I swerved and called upon a my Eternal Drifiting ability, even though it¡¯s the second time using it I pulled it off splendidly and spun to a stop! Take that, divine world portal! Not this time! ¡°Eh? What¡¯s that?¡± said Dracula. A large fellow wearing a cape and clothing similar to Dracula¡¯s appeared. Is that her dad? Wait, is her dad a god?! ¡°Greetings, Truck God.I am Dracula God. It seems you¡¯ve done me a favor, bringing to my attention such a poor example of my Dracula name! You disgust me, Lady ¡®Dracula!¡± said the not-vampire dad. Screw this. I had enough trouble with Mountain God the other day! ¡°Uh, goodbye,¡± I turned my wheels away from the portal and switched my clutch, speeding off. This guy sounds like nothing but trouble. Lady Dracula¡¯s face is pure white, that doesn¡¯t look good. Little stammers are coming out of her mouth and she¡¯s shaking. Dracula God versus Lady Dracula? I don¡¯t get it. I sped away, hearing Dracula God¡¯s voice from portal trailing me from behind. ¡°Ignoring me, Truck God? Seems I will have to invade this world and end your pathetic stint as a God, along with that imposter!¡± What followed was an evil laugh that went on for way too long. ¡°...Dracula...God?¡± Lady Dracula whispered. That¡¯s right. Dracula God¡¯s coming after both of us, apparently, for some reason. Gods are strange. Does that include me? ¡°Enough, Truck-san! Dracula and you will die!¡± Dracula God spread into mist and drifted into the wind from the portal. That¡¯s not fair at all, I can¡¯t even see him now. ¡°Why?!¡± Lady Dracula complained in my cabin. I spun my tires on the run as a mist congealed into Dracula God in the horizon before me, holding out his hand. ¡°Think you can run me over, Truck-san? Just try it!¡± Dracula God roared. RPM hit max. I shifted the clutch. Dracula God, if you want a ramming, here I go! Ground shredded under me as my tires made the grass below into a mist. As I sped into Dracula God¡¯s outstretched hand, my body shook. I felt a strange sense of weightlessness. To my surprise, he didn¡¯t budge, but I did. The world spun around me, the ground suddenly below. I¡¯m flying? I¡¯m flying! Lady Dracula is screaming and holding her head! I¡¯m a flying Truck facing Dracula God and Lady Dracula and my truck self are in danger. I¡¯ve got to do something! Come on, crazy magical whatever powers within! What did I say last time?! Roar, my engine! Secret Truck Arts: Mechanoid Form Truck Arts? Wasn¡¯t it Truck God Arts?! Something¡¯s off. My body changed to humanoid form, but this one felt different. My memories I gained from Villager Girl A due our telepathic link during the fire giant thrummed in my mind. I hit the ground on my steel humanlike legs, skidding across the open plains kicking up a mist of dirt and glass. The wind blew, and I stood. I checked out my form, comparing it to my memories. I can¡¯t tell what¡¯s different, but don¡¯t I look less human and more like- a robot? Like the robot Mechanic was making? Information fed into my head, my body telling me it¡¯s specifications and limits. Just as I understood my inner workings as a Truck, I understood the Mechanoid Form¡¯s abilities. I pointed at Dracula God, the wind blew the grass about between us. ¡°I have no reason to fight you. But, if you¡¯re going to get in the way of me saving Driver-san, then¡!¡± Dracula God smiled, his small form belied an aura. It lingered behind his smile, a demon in the wind, easily greater than my massive humanoid size and pitch black. Can I win? No, I have to win! Driver-san! I advanced. A single step into the ground burst my form forward, and in a second I made my fist drive into his tiny body. Secret Truck Arts: Delivery Again, no God?! No Package either?! What¡¯s going on! I felt my fist stop, as if mocking me Dracula God held back the fist pushing into him with my massive frame with a pinky. Dracula God¡¯s grin deepened. ¡°This is what¡¯s wrong with young gods. You don¡¯t even know your own power, but a minor god like you, even at your full potential, would be worthless again a concept god like me! I¡¯m not any Dracula, Truck-san! I¡¯m Dracula God, the Dracula God! Secret Dracula God Arts: Bat Blazer!¡± Tiny portals with sigils opened behind him. Thousands of tiny bats shot out, forming into streams they flew towards me lazily, igniting with flame. They exploded on contact. One by one, I felt the explosions rocking my form backwards as I took heavy damage. In desperation I threw myself away carried by the force of the pursuing bats and broke into a full on escape. What can I do?! Run away, that¡¯s all! The flaming exploding bats chasing me, my worries focused my mind on my ability name from the voice inside. It wasn¡¯t Truck God like last time. But, Dracula God said Dracula God Arts? What does that mean? Why could I use Truck God Arts back th- Oh. I had someone there with me, in my cabin, I had a telepathic connection with them! Villager Girl A! Damn it, she isn¡¯t here! But¡ Lady Dracula is! ¡°Lady Dracula! Help me! If you allow it, I can connect with you and use your power!¡± I whispered through my cabin radio. She looked up from her balled up position in my driver¡¯s seat. Her face, scared. She furrowed her eyebrows and grinned. ¡°I didn¡¯t even think about fighting back, Truck-san. Whatever you¡¯re going to do, I¡¯m with you!¡± The telepathic connection started up, a vast amount of information flew into my head. I¡¯m¡ hungry? For blood? Weird. I switched back into truck form and floored the accelerator. I needed more speed! More speed! Secret Truck God Arts: Engine Overdrive! The ground shot away from me as the flaming bats turned into specks. Dracula God disappeared into the distance. I¡¯m not going to fight you if I don¡¯t have to, Dracula God! Go pick on someone else! Still, I better tell Mechanic¡ ¡°Amazing, Truck-san! I¡¯ve never gone this fast before!¡± Lady Dracula cheered from the cabin. She looks happy now, that¡¯s great. It must have been scary, being attacked by some strange god all a sudden. The surroundings were a blur, but I managed. GPS. Destination, edge lord¡¯s Vranyir¡¯s castle. ~the Dracula God¡¯s point of view~ Truck-san disappeared. ¡°Huh¡¡± I murmured that in surprise, unable to help myself. My hand went to my gray beard immediately, stroking it in thought. No way I could find him without Cerberus God now. That speed is¡ there¡¯s no doubt. It¡¯s on the level of God Ability. What¡¯s more, he was able to use it without saying it out loud! Wheel God lied to me. Now, I had expected to see something interesting from Truck-san, that was my true purpose here, and to my delight, I did. ¡°He¡¯s the Truck God. I see. No wonder Wheel God risked his rubbery neck for this. Still, I can¡¯t help but want to see how far I can push him.¡± I grinned ¡°It seems I¡¯ve found a new toy. Time to gather my army¡¡± It¡¯ll be a grand show, next time, Truck-san!
