 Prologue

    I have been alive for so long that I can remember I have seen so much that everything seems to happen all over again. Just as they say history repeats itself.


    I''ve seen empires rise and fall throughout millennia but even though so many years have passed I can still remember my life when I was a child and as was growing up to be an adult to marrying the love of my life who gave birth to our only child who became the light of my life my lovely daughter.


    We were so happy as I watch her grow up until she turned seven years old everything seems perfect until one day our village was ravage by barbarians who knew nothing but killing they came and slaughter their way to our village we fought to protect our own but we were outnumbered and I myself fought hard to protect my wife and child so that they can make their escape.


    But all my efforts were useless as arrows came raining down on them as try to run away, my world came crashing down when I saw my wife and child struck by the arrows, I tried to get to the so that in our last moments I would still be able to hold them but even that was taken from me before I could get to them a spear struck my chest and swords stab on both sides.


    I fall down on the ground looking at the direction where my wife was laying down lifeless with our daughter in her arms as I took my last breath and closed my eyes to embrace death with open arms but after some time for what it seems like eternity I woke up and felt an excruciating pain.


    I opened my eyes looking at myself seeing the holes in my body where slowly closing and healing I touch and feel my body everything was gone my wounds healed even the pain was gone as if nothing happen.


    I was confused and angry, I was so angry that even my death was taken from me I tried every means to take my own life hoping that I would leave this world to be with my love ones but death seems to have abandoned me feeling hopeless and sadness, I walk towards the body my dead wife and child.Holding their dead cold bodies for months mourning, until one day I decided to put everyone on their final resting place and swore that I will avenged them.I left the village my home searching the beasts that took everything from me.     Until one day I found them it took me three years looking for them following their trails as left nothing but death on everything they set their sight on. I saw them laughing and drinking celebrating their success in pillaging the village that they''re on as I was looking the scene around I saw dead villagers the women lay there lifeless and naked from that moment I felt something in me that wants to be unleashed but I forced calm myself.


    I''ve waited until dark when they are all passed out drunk that night I gather all my strength as I walk up to them with a sword in my hand one by one I chopped off their heads from their bodies I poured oil on those who are too drunk to react and burned them alive. As I was killing them I felt something in me it made me strong I feel the changes in my body.


    As I was killing and feeling their blood spilled on me their guts all over the place and the smell of burnt flesh made me ecstatic as I struck them down leaving no one alive. As the night ended with every last one of them was dead the anger that I feeling was still not quelled but I manage to pull through it and from that day I made another promise that I will do anything in my power to eradicate these demons from this world.


    Years go by I met new people and made new friends I see them grow old and die this cycle became normal for me. Throughout the years I learn so much that at some point in my lifetime I became a doctor, soldier, engineer, teacher and many more.


    Until one day a wounded soldier was brought to my attention in needed of my help but I tried everything I could, but the wound was so deep and infected by poison that seems to rot the wounded flesh none of my conventional method was working lost in thought I came up with an idea.


    I have been experimenting with my own blood so that I can help my patients, this wasbest idea that I could think of and also my greatest mistake and that was giving my blood to the wounded soldier and that soldier who received my blood without my knowledge he became stronger than anyone else.


    Along with that strength came with hunger for blood and once he gave in to his hunger he became something else something that I swore to eradicate from this world he became the progenitor who gave birth to an abomination we now call vampires from that point until today I hunt them down to atone for my sins and to fulfill my promise to everyone I love.

    Coven


    It was a typical morning and for the first time in twenty years I had a good sleep the last time I went to sleep was the last time that I was a normal human being, for what I am now I really dint need any sleep but it doesn''t hurt to try and have good rest.


    Today I will be travelling again going to another country to find the coven of vampires which is rumored to have an elder vampire among them. Twenty years ago I met the man who change my whole life and gave me everything I have today in exchange I sworn a lifetime oath that I will hunt down the monsters that is plaguing our world and also to seek my revenge.


    ''Tok tok tok'' someone knock on my door and I can sense their killing intent and the smell of blood on them is so strong that make me want to puke, I slowly walk up to the door picking up the sword on my bed holding it with my right hand. Before I could get close to the door they came in crashing in to my room these three were just ordinary humans but the stench of blood on them was so strong.


    And I can sense that they have vampire blood in their system it was minute but enough to for these humans to enhance their strength this was the idea that the vampires had come up with so that they can use humans to do their bidding during the day with that they can make an ordinary human hooked up to it like a drug but this was only given to humans that they have complete trust with the promise that one day they will be turned to become vampires.


    The three of them came rushing towards me with daggers in their hands, one of them pull out a gun but before he could point it at me with my quick reflexes I draw my sword in an upward motion slicing the hand that was holding the gun and then with another swing.


    I chop him in half the other two moved stab me with their daggers to my left and back side but before they could get to me I stab the one on my left only with my left hand it punctured his chest and right straight through his back the last one I kick and broke his bones.The author''s tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.


    With all them dead I pick the phone and call someone " We have intruders three of them came to me, send cleaners here and I want to talk to the manager." I ended the call and check the bodies of the three intruders to see if they what coven they belong to.


    Every human agents have a mark on their bodies to identify the coven that they belong to even though these vampire are united they still have some kind of class system in their organization, the class are divided into three and these classes are identified as High, Middle and low.


    High means that a coven they have five hundred or more vampires in the coven and led by someone who is at least a thousand years old, middle at least three hundred vampires and their leader should be at least eight hundred years old and as for low these are just newly made vampires.


    But aside from these three there are still who are above it but these covens are completely hidden even these three classes don''t even know where they are and they are only known as nobles where elder vampires live. As I was checking the corpses five men came one of them was wearing a black suit while the other four are in their cleaning uniforms.


    These people are the ones who manages this place, the one in a suit came to me "I apologize for the mess sir we''ll make sure that this will never happen again I''ve already checked the perimeter we four men outside we killed two of them but the other two got away." the man in a suit reported to me.


    "Be more vigilant next time there are also civilians here and they are regular customers who are staying here and we have to protect them." I told the manager as the other men are cleaning to get rid of the bodies. This place is just one of the hotels that we own all the of the employees here are trained to take down vampires and also served as our agents these people are just one of the few that knows about the darkness that looms out there.


    I instructed the manager to gather around twenty men and women that we''ll be coming with me eradicate the coven that sent those three men I will be leading them in this operation this coven is just a low class the only one in the area, as the men are armed and ready we head out before it gets dark.
