 Prologue:00- Retribution

    I am 89 years old man who is ambitious in finding different wonders of the world. My wife died 28years ago but anyway didn¡¯t attend the funeral.

    Because I was busy in entertaining myself. I had started entertaining myself after I just passed my high school in a prestigious school in India. Other people search for Colleges, jobs¡­etc but I did not.


    People might give me many names and title like genius, the scientist but I am just a shitty old man who is just busy in entertaining myself with the mysteries of the world. Since childhood by watching various cartoons and anime I was fascinated by the concept of magic. The word ¡®Magic¡¯ excited something in my brain. I tried searching different magic from different magicians but got nothing but tricks to deceive people¡¯s eyes. That¡¯s not the thing I was fascinated but I was fascinated by actual magic and magical girls and devices.


    When I was 20 years old I found certain similarities with Science and magic.


    At the age of 59 I found compressed energy in matter called plasma energy, with it people can control different elements of periodic table but it need a device called PECK (Plasma Energy Compressor Kit). After the discovery of plasma energy and the device the whole world rejoices. I became centre of the world. Technology hopped by thousand or more steps with the help of my discovery. But it was still far from my dream. For me finding plasma energy in atmosphere is just a tiny step towards magic.     Magic that I wanted was, which a person could control to perform miracles. I knew that Discovering magic means to be a step closer to a god and was certain that a retribution for stepping this path will soon come.


    At the age of 62 I started my research to plant plasma into human body to control it. As the current world still have human rights and laws I could only test it on myself.


    After many year of Research I finally achieved but I became 89 year old man. After this discovery I did not announce the world of this discovery. But I began started another experiment 2months after the discovery to gain a youthful appearance again. But failed¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­..


    During my last minutes of the experiment due to a major earthquake all my devices gone berserk and due to excessive electrical shockwaves I got a internal bleeding in my brain.

 Chapter:01- Begining (part 1)

    In a country named Melva of western continent a girl of 25years old gave birth to a snow white baby , the King¡¯s youngest son named Ritz.


    After seven years¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­..


    I am Ritz, the youngest son of Lord Cyris Kar Blaze who is the king of Melva. As all of my elder siblings are females I became the direct descendant to the Crown


    I grew up with utmost care and respect from my family members and other people as the only male candidate within my siblings. My father is married with 4 wives as polygamy is allowed in the western continent and as a result I have 7 elder sisters, first 2 elder sisters are married and the rest takes care of different cities in the county.


    As I grew up I learned history, politics, martial arts and sword techniques and came to know that our world is divided by 2 continents.     Physical characters of human and demons are almost same except humans are superior in Mana (as in magic) manipulation and smithing where as Demons are superior in physical strength and agility.


    Humans and demons fought with each others from thousands or more year where both sides get severe causalities. Since I started learning about other races I hated the fact that humans and daemons hated each other so much.


    On my seventh birth day I was given a couple of soldiers and told by my father to patrol the city and maintain peace. I was very happy that time thinking I got a new squad to order.


    At 12 years old, I and my squad started to patrol the borderlines of kingdom to prevent demon infiltration. We experienced many battles but not as large as war should be and had an overwhelming victory.


    5months later after a minor war I got called by my father , I was nervous because I always get called to the kingdom if I commit a mistake so I thought what mistake again did I commit this time.


    I prepared my carriage and departed to Melva kingdom. After 9days of camping and journey I finally reached the gate of my father¡¯s palace but found a huge crowd near the Royal palace''s bulletin board where various request from royal family are given to adventurers.


    I hurriedly enter into the palace chamber where father sits and felt eerie silence in the chamber where usually it¡¯s quite rowdy.

 Chapter:01- Begining (part 2)

    I got in front of the throne and kneeled down with curiosity in my heart regarding the situation.


    [How have you been son. Have you been practicing your sword arts?](King)


    [Umm¡­ sure¡­.](Ritz)


    ¡®Really? ¡®father asked with a smirk on his face.


    [A-Anyway¡­ what¡¯s about calling me so suddenly?](Ritz)


    [We have lost all the contacts with the soldiers at the northern border my son. I have also sent more people to confirm the situation there] (king)

    While I was asking this I hear a buzz sound coming from the Cristal ball which is in the centre of the hall to receive urgent message

    Then my father left the chamber with the royal guards and commanders.

 Chapter:02- Decision(part 1)

    I woke up at 6am when the church bell rang 6times to indicate the time, thinking that it¡¯s been 3days since father left the town with 600 soldiers to fight the enemies. During these 3 days we did not receive any message.


    [I wonder how father is doing??¡­¡­hah¡­¡­¡­¡­.*sigh*] (Ritz)


    While I was thinking this on bed, I hear a knock on the door of my bedroom.


    [Young Master are you awake?]

    Hearing my reply a white haired woman roughly around 18years old wearing a maid outfit enters my room. She is my personal maid named Lily. When my father was in war with daemons, he found her abandoned in a destroyed human village.     I got down from my bed and went to the wardrobe in my room and changed it to formal military attire and went to wash my face to the field where there is a large well (water well).


    While washing my face I got greeted by my soldiers who were running laps around the large training area beside the well.


    They sure are hard working and I am proud to be their commander.

 Chapter:02- Decision(part 2)

    While thinking that I went inside the palace and walked into the dining hall where several other maids with Lily were present. There is a long table for 50 people at the centre of the dining hall and all kinds of breakfasts were arranged at the table.


    I sat at one of the chair pulled by Lily and started having breakfast while all other maids were waiting patiently for me to finish eating.


    After having my breakfast I asked Lily¡­.


    [Not any reports again today from father¡¯s messengers huh?? ] (Ritz)


    [No, we have yet to receive any reports from majesty¡¯s soldiers. But I think they will soon arrive because I have sent one of our soldiers to that area as under your order, young lord] (Lily)


    Hearing Lily¡¯s report I went to the training area and picked up a sword and started practicing sword techniques.     At that time the door of the castle grounds were opened by the castle guards. I turned around at the door to find that the soldier who was sent for investigation earlier entered. He had severe wounds on him.


    I found the wounds quite peculiar as it is neither a slash from sword nor axe (basic weapons for humans) but numerous holes in his body. Even magic from humans cannot cause those holes and so I started pondering what the new weapons of the humans might be.


    The other guards brought the wounded soldier quickly to me without treating him because he is already near his deathbed and cannot be treated in time. The Soldier began to speak¡­..

    Upon hearing this soldier showed a painful and a relieved expression and finally took his last breadth.


    My heart pains after thinking that I would never be able to see father again. That I would miss his usual nagging about how much it would help if I practice sword arts properly. But I still have some hope that father must be alive but captured.

 Chapter:03-Preparations

    I gave order to the remaining soldiers to go and equip themselves from the from the royal armory where different expensive weapons and siege weapons are kept.


    I asked for several ministers to come meet me at my office. After several minutes 3 middle aged man came to my office to my office door.

    They enter the room with quite but impatient steps.


    [Greetings to the Young master](3middle aged men)


    They still call me young master as I have yet to be officially crowned.

    After they left I hear a slight knock on the door and knowing who it must be I let her come in.

    From the time I started to walk I always remember Lily to be at the side of me. As I was very little to understand the standing of the world Lily become my best friends and we used to play lot together. But as time grows and they teach me etiquettes and political standing I came to understand that we cannot be intimate as it would create both troubles for us. But being my only childhood friend I would hate to part away with her.

    Along with the royal army counting for 152 soldiers and lily by my side we started our journey toward the northern border of our country.

 Chapter:04-Despair(part1)

    Lily and I sat in the royal carriage pulled by 3 white horses followed by many other carriages and sieges weapons pulled by many horses and elephants.


    We departed from the city of Melva where the royal palace is located. To reach the northern side of the county¡¯s border we have to cross the mountains and the big Nova River.


    It would take approx 9 days and half a day to reach the border.


    We would take a break when night falls and would start to travel when sun would rise.


    I was anxious and I still had a little bit of hope that father maybe alive and we could still help him because I couldn¡¯t completely lose hope for the person who is so dear to me.


    Sometime there would be wild beast along the journey and the well trained soldiers would quickly defeat them without any causalities, like that 8days passed.

    As there was still 6-7hours left I thought that I could take a nap so I put my head on Lily¡¯s lap and closed my eyes.


    While closing my eyes I was trying to hear the chirpings of birds as it was pleasant to my ears, I heard a loud *Baang* noise from the distance and our carriage came to a sudden halt. As I was lying in the carriage, due to sudden halt I fell from the carriage seat and Lily also got disbalanced.


    After recovering to a more suitable posture I leaned out of the window to inquire about the noise and confusion.


    From the left and right side there were two small hills and from both sides of the hills there are many people coming from there and they are dressed in red armour with both of their hands holding a single metal pipe.


    After reading the situation I immediately gave order to the soldiers

    Hearing my command the soldiers got into formation to defend our carriage.


    By peeking from the window saw that they are taking stance to deploy their magic or something, so I braced for an impact that a magic explosion might happen but in regards to my expectation no such thing happened.


    I heard some *Bangg* *Baang* sound like many times and after like 2-3mins the surroundings became eerie quite.

 Chapter:04-Despair(part2)

    I tried to peek through a hole made from earlier fights in the carriage.


    As soon as I saw that all the soldiers were lying on the ground and the enemies from both sides were approaching our carriage I pulled Lily¡¯s hand and tried to hide under the carriage seat.


    Lily tried to say something but I ignored it and pulled her together with me.


    As their footsteps got closer, my heartbeat got louder with fear and anxiety and it felt like the enemies could hear my heart beat which could reveal our position, so I tried my best to hold my breath.


    But all in vain, the soldiers soon announced ¡°Come out from the carriage or we will light you carriage and let you experience a burning hell¡±


    We ignored them, trying our best to not let a single sound slip by us, hoping that they will not find us and think that we fled from there.


    But in opposed to our expectation they threw some of their torches to light our carriage after waiting for a minute or two. We tried to endure the heat and the suffocation but we were already at our limits.     We knew that if we lose consciousness here then the tiny chance of escape we had would be lost and we would be in the hands of our enemies , so we two crawl out of the carriage and fell on the ground. Due to heat and suffocation our strength left our body and we were unable to lift a single finger.


    With my blurry eyes I saw the solders around us and among them who looked like a leader, orderd two of the soldiers to bring us to their camp and left from the scene.


    Two of the rough looking soldier came to us with a sinister grin on their faces and then the suddenly grabbed out hairs and started pulling us.


    I tried to endure because I know that if I resist too much then we will fall right into their hands and they will torture more.


    The soldier who was pulling Lily made a lustful look at her and then he started dragging her by pulling her hair. Lily tried to come towards me but seeing her struggle the soldier gave a heavy punch towards her stomach and she fainted with her eyes staring at me.


    Seeing Lily got hit and for my powerlessness I was ashamed. I thought that if I couldn¡¯t protect the person important to me then how I am going to become the king who will protect this country.


    I lost all my energy thinking of my powerlessness and the soldiers started dragging us again by pulling our hairs and they intentionally go from rough planes to give us more wounds.


    After few minutes of intense pain from my skull and from the wounds on my body, when I started to lose consciousness the soldiers stopped and drop both of us to the ground.

 Chapter:05-Shadow of the Past (part1)

    I lift up my head and saw a camp beside a hill and many soldiers with red amours were surrounding the camps.


    Inside the camps there were many tents and in the middle of it was a large tent .On the top of the tent there was a flag resembling the country Vestice.


    After noticing the flag I thought that, why Vestice?. Vestice was in alliance with our county and we had a friendly relationship for past few decades.


    After looking here and there for a while to inquire our situation my eyes fell on the middle of the large ground there is a pole which was dug deep into the soil and on the surface of the pole I can see red liquid dropping from it.


    As I was watching from the ground while laying , my vision was pretty much restricted so I tried to lift up my head to see from where the liquid is coming from but watching that my eyes got blurry again and it felt like my heart will stop from pain.


    Footsteps could be hard coming near me from one of the big tents which was situated in the camp.     In rage and despair I did not notice that I am having a severe pain in my head and a nose bleeding.
