《A Slip Of The Force》 Prologue: An Arduous Task Prologue: An Arduous Task During the tumultuous period of the New Sith Wars, between 2000 BBY and 1000 BBY, Arkanian Geneticists and Kaminoan Geneticists were brought together by the vast criminal organization The Black Sun; for the purpose of creating the ultimate assassin/warrior to aid them in their endeavours, against the other syndicates and to deal with any force users that might interrupt their enterprise. This project was dubbed Harbinger. The goal was to create a killing machine capable of carrying out missions in every environment, including the cold empty vacuum of space and capable of going toe to toe with both the Sith and Jedi. As such the scientists began collecting samples and specimens of various races that are noted for their strength, agility, durability, stealth, regenerative abilities, resistance to various diseases, poisons and other toxins, sensory abilities and manipulative abilities. Collecting these samples and specimens took decades to acquire as some of them were extraordinarily rare, to the point that there would only be one for every one thousand light years. But none the less the scientists were able to acquire their samples and begin their research and experimentation. In the end they decided to make this powerful being from six separate races. The first and easiest specimen to attain was the Miraluka a force sensitive race that is descendant from humans. After many millennia they evolved to a point were they no longer possessed eyes. But instead saw through the force and perceived everything with it. This gave them the ability to notice force sensitive individuals and even their alignment to the force. It also allowed them to have a greater awareness of their surroundings giving them better reflexes than most species. The second specimen to be attained was the Hutt. A large gastropod species. Similar in appearance to slugs and capable of growing up to ten metres in length when exceptionally old. They were chosen for their powerful regenerative ability to re-grow entire limbs and even their own brain, albeit over the course of decades and even centuries depending on how grievous the injury. They are also known to have a powerful resistance to many poisons and diseases, allowing them to inhabit many hazardous environments. The third specimen and third most difficult to attain was the Anzat. A force sensitive race. Naturally gifted with the powers of telepathy and other mind based force powers, such as manipulation which allowed them lure in their prey to hunt them with greater efficiency. They fed off concentrations of the force located in the brain, of individuals strong in the force. This meant that for them to feast upon great meals; they would have to hunt greater prey, meaning Jedi and Sith, which meant that they themselves had to get stronger. As Anzat aged they became more adept in their abilities and only grew stronger with time. Some were capable of living over a thousand years. The reason why they were difficult to obtain was due to their strong mind powers, which allowed to pick up on pursuers and ambushes and when confronted they could turn your allies against you as well as use powerful force abilities. The fourth specimen and most difficult to attain was the Gen¡¯Dai. They are a very long lived race, that span entire millennia and are considered immortal; due to their powerful regenerative abilities, that allows them to survive dismemberment and re-grow entire limbs in seconds. It is generally considered that the only way to assuredly kill one is to destroy them on the atomic level through vaporisation or incineration. As such subduing one is a nigh impossible task without mass amounts of sedatives and containment units. Add on top of that the fact that their home world was ravaged during the Hyperspace Wars; their race is now spread throughout the stars in small numbers. But what makes them particularly dangerous when interacting with them is that the ones known to the public are their elderly, who suffer from various mental ailments brought on by the ravages of time. Often making them highly aggressive, violent, cruel and heartless savages. They also constantly wear heavy armour to give themselves form, enhancing their physical abilities and making it difficult to even injure them.Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. A unique trait to the Gen¡¯ Dai biology is that they have no bones or vital organs. Just being made up of a head, corded muscles, which are used to pump blood around their body and stem blood flow to injured areas. And nerve clusters spread all through out their body; granting them near instantaneous reflexes and a ridiculously high sensory acuity; allowing them to detect a human heart beat up to 200 metres away. The fifth specimen to be attained was the Maelibus. They are a sentient race with bug like tendencies of burrowing in the ground. They have hypnotic voices, that are said to cause confusion even in the strongest of races. Their voice is used to lure in their prey and ambush them; dragging them into the depths of their burrows. They also possessed an entirely gold exterior that was both strong and reflective known to cause blaster bolts to glance right off of them. The final and most elusive species collected was the Duinuogwuin. A truly mysterious race, their home world is unknown, their culture is unknown and their biology is unknown. What little is known about them is learnt through legends and the scarce encounters that were recorded. Their physical appearance is serpentine in nature, having a segmented body each segment with a pair of legs, multiple insect wings and being able to grow up to 100 metres long. They have three notable and unique traits that are, the ability to survive for months in the vacuum of space, the ability to exhale atomic fire or gas which is capable of bringing great destruction, and their most mysterious and useful ability repulsor-lift which granted them the ability to fly on a planets surface regardless of their weak insect wings; and using anti gravity to slingshot between planets and stars at high speeds. It took the scientists over half a century just to gather their specimens and samples. But their work was not so simple as to be completed in a matter of years. Due to the species variance, combing the positive traits without any negative traits or reactions; was an excruciatingly difficult process that took centuries to accomplish. Towards the end of their work, after much trial and error they were able to accomplish their goal physically. But numerous iterations of the subjects were either brain dead or mad and animalistic, unable to be useful in a larger capacity than that of an attack animal. They were also not capable of using the force either, but that was considered an unnecessary feature, considering how they could fall to the dark side or light side and revolt against their masters. At their wits end the scientists decided that they should try to use the force, to influence the subject and allow it to host a conscious mind. As such agents went in search for methods used by force practitioners, to influence the mind and create new entities. After putting the project on hold for many decades; the agents implanted among the Sith; eventually found a force technique used to transfer the users mind from their own body, into a new body forcing out the former inhabitants mind. After discovering this technique, scholars were brought in to study it and alter it; so as to transfer a blank mind into the body from the force itself, instead of another being. All that was needed was a Sith to perform the altered technique. The problem is in doing this as Sith weren¡¯t exactly cooperative individuals. But through the use of the Black Sun¡¯s agents placed within the Sith they found one of the rare Sith that entertained the idea of a family. After sending a small army to secure the Sith¡¯s family everything was once again on course to going as planned. The Sith soon came chasing after his family and quickly realised that he didn¡¯t have any room for negotiation; agreeing to aid them in their endeavours. But deep down through the use of the force the Sith knew that he and his family wouldn¡¯t be left to go free and would instead be killed to keep the whole project from being discovered. Knowing this the Sith set about sabotaging their project, by implanting within the subjects subconscious the desire to destroy its creators. Beyond that though the technique succeeded in implanting a conscious mind within the test subject. The first stage of the project was complete it had taken almost 600 years to accomplish but it was done none the less. The scientists had succeeded in creating a truly unique killing machine that would reap death through out and terror throughout the galaxy in the name of the Black Sun. Resting inside of a modified cloning tank, six metres in each dimension was the subject. In this relaxed state they floated arms spread four metres across from claw to claw. The limbs them self were rather wide in circumference for their size and showed many sinews all of a dark purple. The chest was about the size of a barrel and there were slight gaps, were the muscle wasn¡¯t constricted in the slightest making the chest 90cm thick. It also had a bulbous abdomen. The body was a little over a metre long leading to long and round legs that were two metres long ending in claw like toes. On each of the limbs there were long and slim golden plates; that spread half the length of each limb. The plates on the body were multiple segmented plates that covered about half of the surface area but looked like they match up like a puzzle. The head was the only thing that didn¡¯t look like it belonged as it seemed to small for it, almost like it had been shrunken. It had a defined jaw, with bone covering the lower jaw, like on a mask, with pronounced canines. A slim ridge where the nose usually is;with flaps to cover the openings, slightly larger than average eyes with think eyelids, cone like nubs for ears and a long swath of black, tendril like hairaround the back and top of the head. Chapter 1 - A Rude Awakening With the completion of the first stage of their project, the scientists drained the tank to prepare the subject¡¯s transfer; to what would become its home for the foreseeable future. It took five people to carry ¡®it¡¯ to the room and strap ¡®it¡¯ to a table with multiple shackles to hold ¡®it¡¯ down they left as ¡®it¡¯ was coming around. Subject''s pov Ughh my head hurts so much, the hell is going on? Ragh its so bright. Hm why cant I move? For that matter where am I? I begin to struggle and breath roughly trying to ascertain what¡¯s going on. Only growing more worried and frightened with my lack of movement. The room I am in slowly comes to focus and I find myself in a clinical white room that seems to have a sort of sci-fi vibe to it. And I can only ascertain that I am strapped to a table. It is while I am struggling, that something I never thought I would meet enters the room. It was a goddamned alien one that looked similar to Greedo from Star Wars, seeing this made my brain freeze and I stopped moving for a while. As I lay still, ¡®Greedo¡¯ slowly approached me speaking in another language. Other aliens entered the room as well, but pushing trolleys and began setting up tables around me like an operating theatre. As they moved about I got this feeling, that they held a malicious intent towards me and it wasn¡¯t from the obviously suspicious trolleys, but like I was reading their minds almost. I was slowly drawing a picture of what the situation was and it wasn¡¯t looking good. Greedo went to one of the trolleys and took something sharp out of it and proceeded to approach me. He then went and made an incision into my chest. As he did this what came to my attention was not the lack of pain but the fact that my chest was purple and looked as if I had no skin, just muscle. The fact I didn¡¯t feel any pain was barely registering with me at this moment. Unfortunately this shock did not last long as I was soon injected with something that amplified my senses; particularly my sense of pain. And so began my hellish torture. They would make cuts along my limbs and body and place some sort of egg inside, which quickly hatched and began eating away at me. They even went as far as amputating my limbs, which is when I learnt that I could re-grow entire limbs. After an eternity of this torture, I¡¯m unsure as to how long, my mind slowly began to drift off and I could swear that I could see my new self, strapped down and bloody. And Greedo was making his way towards my new effeminate head with a pointy tool. I blacked out soon after. I awoke in the same room, still strapped down, feeling aches all throughout my body and head as well. There was a screen before me, with text scrolling across it and funnily enough I could understand it even though it wasn¡¯t written in English. It seemed to be schematics to a spaceship, showing were wires went what they did and how to access them. This information seemed to just flow into my mind. The text changed to a different schematic and repeated the process. It also showed schematics for guns and other weapons. How to build bombs. Security systems and other useful information. This continued for hours maybe even days and by the end of it I was sure I could build my own ship if I had the resources. After this influx of information I once more blacked out. Upon waking up I was still in the same room, but no longer strapped to the table it had in fact disappeared along with the screen. With this new found freedom I got up and began to look around the room for something, anything, it didn¡¯t matter what but I didn¡¯t find anything. Frustrated I hit the wall, reminding me of my new purple body. With nothing else to do I decided to check out my body. It seemed that I was rather tall and wide, with particularly long limbs that felt loose or not attuned, like they were weak but just need to be tensed or tightened like a guitar string. In a moment of curiosity I tried tensing my body to will into tune, to what feels right. This was met with some success as I shrank somewhat and my limbs rather than looking like my muscles had exploded, became tight and packed much like an athletes; resembling skin with lots of lines, from my muscles being packed together. If I were to guess I would say I¡¯m now around two and a half metres tall and resemble an Amazonian in stature due to my long hair, wide hips, large chest and strong build. With this change I felt stronger more sturdy and better balanced. My senses seemed to have grown as well, I could feel the air touch upon me as I breathed and moved. And even more surprising I could feel my blood pumping through me and my body subconsciously tensing as blood passed by, as if it was pumping my blood and not my heart. Despite all of this new found strength I still felt out of tune. Despite my new found interest in my body, I didn¡¯t have time to study and mess around with it as a door opened and a Duros walked in. Large eyed, bulbous head with long fingers, pretty alien by human standards, it was even grey. Wearing a loose fitting grey tank top and tracksuit bottoms. Anyway he approached me and immediately began beating on me, with quick jabs and kicks transitioning into throws aiming to inflict as much pain as possible.Stolen novel; please report. I tried to put up a fight but it didn¡¯t amount to much, despite my strength, resilience to pain and ability to heal and lack of bones to break. After a thorough beating he pulled me up onto my feet and started moving my limbs and putting me into a stance which was when it hit me that he was here to teach me how to fight. He then went through some forms for me to copy, as I demonstrated them he would correct them and either grunt in approval or disapproval. Little more than that happened and this soon became my daily routine. Get beat up trying to defend myself, then go through the forms. In a way it was a bit like learning to dance, though rather than moving in synch with your partner you try and catch them off guard. Suffice to say I was the one caught off guard. It was a week into this new routine that I thought that i wasn¡¯t meant for this sort of life. Growing up in a peaceful society where fighting wasn¡¯t looked upon to greatly and there was no need for it in daily life. And I in particular was raised with little conflict in my life, a sheltered life really. But if I don¡¯t adapt to this I¡¯m likely not to survive and I have a strong feeling that this is pretty tame compared to what is to come. It took about two months for me to soundly beat my teacher and that was more due to my constitution than skill, but that was apparently enough as the next day someone else came in and repeated the process over again in another style; and that to came to an end in time and was switched to other styles including armed martial arts. I later came to learn that the styles I was taught were Echani Martial Arts, common throughout the galaxy and taught in the military. Teras Kasi developed specifically to combat Jedis unarmed. Mandalorian fighting tactics, taught to all Mandalorians. I was also taught by experts in other fields like the Noghri, renowned for their stealth and assassination skills. Overall I was taught many generalised and specialised styles, so that I could supposedly fight in any situation. The armed combat training was particularly tough on me, as they didn¡¯t hold back from going for fatal blows. This rigorous and brutal training was slowly working away at my mind; numbing it and blurring the days together. I was losing my sense of self, becoming almost robotic only following the given commands. Get up! Fight! Rest! When I realised this I tried to hold onto my identity and think of my family, but found that I was forgetting what they looked like which shocked and saddened me. This only got worse and worse. The training was systematically breaking me down and rebuilding me. It was in one of my many lessons where I was fighting a teaching, that I fell into a rhythm or a trance like state even. In the back of my mind music began playing quiet at first, but it grew in intensity quickly; it was one I recognised, one that held meaning in my previous life. It was ¡®Eye of the tiger¡¯ an iconic song that always managed to get me riled up. I began to move to the beat and fight back with renewed vigour. As I started gaining ground on my teacher, I was slowly overcome by my bottled up rage and anger over my situation and went into something of a controlled frenzy and began overwhelming my teacher finally striking him down, blood spaying out of him. With him down I let out a bestial raw and soon passed out. Training from then on was different, rather than teaching me to fight they were teaching me to kill; they first started with droids that would only stop attacking with there complete destruction. When I got into the habit of breaking them in the most efficient way, and started doing it by second nature they began to send animals in. I was rather hesitant to fight them, because I could feel the blind rage rolling off of them. Like they had no mind of their own, they were in a frenzied state and wouldn¡¯t stop attacking me until I killed them. Worst of all once I did kill them I didn¡¯t feel any guilt or any remorse just a begrudging acknowledgement, that I took a life. They repeated the process, forcing me to end their lives becoming more efficient each and every time; just in an effort to avoid making them suffer. I had hoped they would stop sending the beasts in, but realised to late that it would mean moving to the next stage which would be people. It started with a lone Duros entering and charging me, to avoid any trouble I quickly broke their arms effectively disarming them. But they didn¡¯t pay it any mind at all and began flailing at me trying to bite me. Soon after various aliens in a similar state began to poor into the room and overwhelm me. Soon I was on the floor, tears streaming down my face with them tearing and kicking at me in a bid to end me. This continued for a few minutes with feelings of rage and fear building up in me. Until it exploded and my normally motionless hair struck out rapping around their necks in an attempt to throttle and snap their necks throwing them across the room, where they hit the wall with a sickening crunch. The rest of my body quickly followed, with me lunging up swinging my claws up and tearing off someone¡¯s jaw, following that with a round house kick to another¡¯s head caving it in. I soon jumped to a larger gathering of people trying to get to me and started tearing and breaking my way through with no regard for them at all. The once pure white room was slowly bathed in the red, green and blue blood of my victims. Until I was the only one left standing chest heaving with rage and adrenaline. I soon fell to my knees head hung in defeat, giving in to my fate to be used as a killing machine for who ever these monsters are. No longer the innocent person I was, now an abomination ready to be let loose upon my unsuspecting victims. Chapter 2 - First Day On The Job Droids were soon sent in to begin cleaning the room and removing the bodies. They looked like big bins with arms on the sides, so they could scoop them up. They acted quietly and smoothly with the grace of a ¡®Roomba¡¯ almost unnoticed. Once finished another larger droid entered and began to hose me down and then left itself. Soon some people enter. Two humans, one white haired and white eyed wearing full length white lab coat without the buttons, the other black hair and blues in a button less black and gold trim suit. The other a Kaminoan in some similarly white clothes. ¡°You¡¯ve done an excellent job, shame it took so long to make, but none the less you have delivered what your predecessors promised. A powerful and efficient killing machine.¡± - Black Sun representative ¡°Well this is what we do for a living, though the credit for the training progressing so fast should go to Miss Su¡®s people. I¡¯ve to begrudgingly admit you Kaminoans have a particular knack for training vat grown subjects.¡± - Arkanian Scientist ¡°Thank you, it was just a simple combination of repetition, chemical stimulants and implants. That sped the process up quite a bit, also helps in keeping the subject obedient. The mental stress from that final fight, gave the implant the chance to fully integrate with the subjects brain and controlling them via chemicals released in the brain. We want it angry we make it angry, we want it sleepy we make it sleepy and so on. We can also make it think us friends by releasing various stimulants when in our presence.¡± - Miss Su, Kaminoan Scientist The Black Sun representative was holding me by the chin and inspecting my face focusing particularly on my eyes. ¡°Well regardless of how its done you¡¯ve done well and can expect full payment. Now we just have to get this thing into the field.¡± - Black Sun representative They soon left after their little chat. Leaving me to just drift. An indeterminate amount of time later, someone entered and placed a brown nondescript cloak and data pad on the ground in front of me. I put on the cloak and looked over the data pad. It seems they have given me an assignment and list of targets and a contact to get in touch with. The data goes on about the Barsa Sector and how it¡¯s presided over by a Hutt Kajidic, one of the few mid rim sectors they hold dominion over. It seems to be my job to begin an expansion into said sector. I am led to a small one man pod and sent off into the recess¡¯s of space without a word. It takes no more than three hours or so to travel to the sector and to the Varvva system where upon the ship begins to descend to one of the few inhabited planets. It seems to be a relatively habitable planet, with trees and mountains spread over it; as opposed to desolate planets like Hoth or Tattooine. I end up in a crowded and messy space port, with multitudes of different aliens wandering around. I make my way out and head toward the location of my contact. During this trip I pass through a marketplace selling a variety of questionable food and gadgets, its similar to a market place you would find in a slum, meat out in the open, women soliciting themselves the lot. The place is teeming with people and its so noisy that you can barely hear yourself talk, but none the less I push on through and make my way over to a dull grey building that over looks the market. Upon entry I am met with an ugly Ugnaught, decked out in rough clothes and armour with blasters on either side of their hips and a large cannon propped up against their chair. Small but intimidating, he looks to me then gestures towards the door behind him with his head. I walk on through and find a corridor with four doors, two to the left, one at the end and another to the right. Rather drab in appearance. I proceed down to the end and just walk on in and see a human, sat behind a big metal desk taking a hit of spice, startled by my entrance he gets up and pulls a gun ready to shoot me. Seeing this I just stand and look at him, then I reach into my cloak slowly and produce the data pad. Seeing this he calms down. ¡°So you¡¯re who the bosses sent to get things started then?¡± I just nod. Unperturbed by my silence he carries on. ¡°I see¡ anyway I was told that all I need to provide is the location of your targets and a weapon. So here you go one vibro knife and the data pad, with their habits, routines and common locations. You can use the first room on the left as your own while you stay here. If there isn¡¯t anything else you need I¡¯d like to get back to work.¡± I take the knife and pad and leave the room. I go to inspect the room that I¡¯ve been granted and find it to be a small room, with a single bed and crates stacked against one side. With a sigh I enter and begin to study the info on my targets, and find that they are located within seven separate cities and two targets are in installations out in bum-fuck nowhere; occupying mountains. This is going to take me months to finish. I suppose I should get this started sooner rather than later. This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. Going back out I begin to scout out my targets common watering holes in the city, finding vantage points, avenues of escape and quiet out of the way places. So that when the time comes I¡¯m not caught off guard unawares. I¡¯ve been waiting in an alley opposite of a bar, for my target to appear, Kinta Dabas, a Rodian and favourite smuggler of the Hutt. He¡¯s known to frequent this establishment and spend his credits on the girls when he isn¡¯t working. He entered around sun down and hasn¡¯t come out for three hours now. It¡¯s a wonder he has any credits if he does this on a regular basis. Its soon after this thought when he comes staggering out of the bar with what I can only interpret as a pleased look on his face, given he¡¯s a Rodian. Anyway he makes his way down the street and I begin to move to another alley that¡¯s along his path and lay in wait. I strike fast and hard, reaching out with knife in hand plunging it into his throat and dragging him into the alley with the other. He was dead in a matter of seconds, these vibro-blades are nasty little things, he¡¯s now got a hole the size of my fist in his throat. With this target taken care of I return to my room, to begin planning out the strategies for the few other targets in this city. Over the course of the next seven days I killed 13 people with connections to the Hutt¡¯s Kajidic. They were all simple kills like the first and its likely that my actions has caught someone¡¯s attention, but they¡¯ve made no moves as of yet. I now have one final target to deal with in this city. This target is in fact an eight man team of mercenaries and the warehouse they guard owned by the Hutts. This could be my first real battle with actual weapons and I was wondering how to go about it. I could go about it in a similar fashion as I have so far or go with a head on fight and draw them into a slaughter. Or something with a modicum of thought to it. I am now outside the warehouse, there are two guards at the front entrance, two in the back with a team of three walking around the perimeter, with their boss in a command centre of sorts where he watches security cameras. You may be asking yourself ¡®How could he see inside and know what the other person is doing?¡¯, well its simple, whatever I am made of contains something that allows me to see life signs within a certain range; regardless of what is in the way. I have an inkling that it is force related considering what galaxy I¡¯m in, but I haven¡¯t managed to connect with the force in any meaningful way so far unfortunately. Go over my equipment one final time, I begin my assault by throwing a thermal detonator to the front entrance. It vaporised most of the two guards and made a hole in the door. I then quickly charged in through the hole and began to make my way towards their boss who¡¯s all on his lonesome. I move quickly and quietly and manage to get behind him. As he is commanding his men to converge on him, I stick my knife into his ear; making blood and brains just spill out onto the ground in a noisy splattered mess. With that I began sprinting back towards the front, where the team of three was entering catching them by surprise. I came in low to the ground cutting off one of their legs with a powerful slash of my blade and rising up to plunge it into the heart of another and then sliding behind him to use as a shield against incoming blaster fire. Feeling the adrenaline kicking in and getting into the flow of things I back flipped high into the air, landing a foot in front of the final standing opponent and slashed across his abdomen, spilling his innards like a bowl of spaghetti bolognaise. ¡®Man I miss food, I¡¯ve been fed tasteless nutrition packs, that¡¯s just slop with no colour or anything a meal needs to be considered one. No life in it at all, anyway I¡¯ve got work to do.¡¯ With two of the three dead I walk over to the footless one and reach down to slit his throat with little struggle. I now have only two members left and then all I need to do is blow up the warehouse. I pick up a blaster and climb up onto the rafters and stalk my way to the back in search of the last two. It takes a bit but I find them shoulder to shoulder guns raised making their way to the front, clearly unnerved by the lack of communication they have. I take aim at one of them and fire three times. One hits the shoulder and the other two hits them in the chest knocking them down with a spin. His comrade fires up into the rafters, while I chuck aside the blaster and lunge towards him. I collide with him and we go tumbling to the ground, the force of the impact and subsequent rolling seems to have broken his neck taking care of my job. I look down at myself and see that there are two holes in my cloak, but no apparent damage on my actual body thanks to my golden chest plates. Well with everyone dead I just need to begin rigging up an impromptu bomb. I go rifling through the crates and find one with some thermal detonators and another with fuel cells, painted all in red which is just begging to be shot. After spreading the cells throughout the warehouse I make my way out, while throwing the thermal detonators around with a timed explosion and place the final fuel cell at the exit. I then proceed to walk away then when I get to ten metres away, I spin around pulling out a blaster and shoot at the cell causing it to blow up in a spectacular fashion that would make Guy Fawkes proud. ¡®Man this really makes my inner pyro happy.¡¯ I decide to take a seat and watch the rest of the warehouse go up while I can. I figure I¡¯ve got to take every chance I get to enjoy myself, while I am free to move around as I please. Before I¡¯m locked back up in that prison cell. ¡®Hah¡what am I going to do I cant live like this for the rest of my life how ever long it is.¡¯ I lament to myself thought. Hearing noise off in the distance I decide to make myself scarce and return to my temporary headquarters. Getting back I once more walk past the Ugnaught and walk into the human¡¯s office. ¡°I assume by your presence you¡¯re dine in this city?¡± I shake my head. ¡°Really then why are you here?¡± Its at that moment I throw my knife at him hitting him square between the eyes. With a thud and a splat his head hit¡¯s the desk and the blood pours out. Turns out his bosses didn¡¯t like stealing merchandise for personal use. At this I turn around and leave the office making my way back to the space port, to fly to the next city and start over again. This city marked the begging of the Black Suns rise in the Barsa Sector and rumours of a new deadly assassin in their midst. Chapter 3 - A Job Well Done - Part 1 You know killing can actually get somewhat monotonous if you don¡¯t change it up every now and then. I mean sneaking around and ambushing people is amusing but it loses the overall thrill from when you first do it. The reason I have reached this conclusion is because I have just finished killing my 157th target and 449th victim, within the sixth city and am left with a further three to go. I have spent the last four and a half months killing my way through the Hutt¡¯s associates. What started out as a thrill has become a chore. Stalk prey, wait, ambush, move to next target. Though with this last group I will be done with this city. Which leaves me with two mountain fortresses to assault. Then follow that with the final biggest hit, against the Hutt Kajidic itself, at there fortress like compound filled to the brim with the nastiest bastards in the system. Though the Hutts haven¡¯t been sitting idle, they actually put a bounty out on my head, 75,000 credits. Though with the fact that I haven¡¯t left any survivors behind, they don¡¯t know who I am, hindering them greatly. And only one individual has managed to find me, but due to my special eyes I caught him before he got away. Leaving me to move around as if I were a ghost. This has lead me to the conclusion of my wraith like activities, as I am currently stood in an alley to the side of a rundown house. It acts as the topside cover for the underground brothel, where no doubt many decadent activities take place. I climb up the wall stabbing my claws into it to move around. I crawl around the corner and find a guard out front. ''Hhaaaahhhhhh'' for some reason I let out a sort of hiss as I close in on my unsuspecting victim, as he turns to find the noise I lunge and tear into his neck killing him quickly and mostly quietly. After cleaning myself a little I walk past the worn curtains, throwing my knife at the guard by the basement door, before he manages to get out a word. Then I knock on the door and wait for the eye slot to open, as it does I see some surprised eyes. With this chance I fit a thermal detonator through the gap and jump away. Seconds later the door is disintegrated and I make way down. The stairs lead to a hallway with a door at the end and with five further guards. Not giving them chance to take aim, I start charging and close the distance in seconds, weaving between blaster shots. I get up close and redirect the gun of ¡¯One¡¯ to the leg of ¡¯Two¡¯ just before ¡®One¡¯ shot, pushing ¡®Two¡¯ down I thrust my elbow into the throat of ¡®One¡¯ knocking him down. I roll to the right, swinging out a kick into the leg of ¡¯Three¡¯ unbalancing him, I take the opportunity to slap aside his gun hand and lay into him like Donnie Yen, fists flying allowing for his head to bounce back off the ground into my waiting fists. Seeing all this ¡¯Four¡¯ is taken aback but ¡¯Five¡¯ comes charging at me with a vibro-sword. I jump around avoiding his wild slashes, seeing an opening I throw my vibro-knife at number ¡¯Four¡¯, hitting him in the throat. Now with my full attention on ¡®Five¡¯, I follow my training easily disarming him and breaking his wrist simultaneously, then with a flourish I spin round and decapitate him. I look at the scene before me, all are dead except ¡®Two¡¯ but he¡¯s crawling towards the door. Grabbing my knife I walk on over, pin him down with my knee on his back and drive my knife into the back of his skull. I search their bodies for their access key to the door and pick up one of their rifles. Opening the door I am shown a large hall with a centre stage where multiple girls are dancing, many scantily clad with collars, while men below are hollering and drinking with more girls in their laps. I guess it¡¯s some sort of auction. To the side there are areas partitioned with silk curtains, likely where the men take the women for private sessions. There¡¯s a strong musky smell in the air that¡¯s getting me a little riled up, I want to do something but I don¡¯t know what. Though it seems to be dulled somewhat, If I get the chance I¡¯ll look into it. Seeing as I¡¯m unnoticed I take the opportunity to fire into the crowd of men, this causes many to scream and dive to the floor or run. Those behind the curtains come out to see me pointing a gun their way and begin to run to the back door. Many of the women crouch and huddle in fear. These men are not my primary targets, the ones I want are the ones that run this place. As I make my way to the back, the musky smell gets stronger and I¡¯m drawn to one of the women, she¡¯s pink skinned, I think her race is known as Zeltron. Pulling her to myself I drink her scent, rubbing her lower back and groping her arse, compelled almost. This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. But then I¡¯m interrupted by guards that have come along from the back and opened fire, I push the woman away and fire at the guards getting behind the cover of the stage and throw a thermal detonator over. Seconds later theres the tell tale sound of vaporisation and death as bodies drop to the floor. I jump over the stage and hurtle towards the back door and smash through it Immediately afterwards a vibro-axe swings around and hits me straight in the chest, tearing a massive gash in it and I¡¯m knocked down breathless and dazed, as another comes down going for my neck, but I roll out of the way at the cost of my right arm below the elbow. With little time to take in my surroundings I run at the wall to run its length in an effort to get my bearings. I find seven guards with various vibro-blades in the room. I launch off the wall, roll, grab the leg of ¡¯One¡¯ with my hair tendrils and fling them into the air, then I redirect an overhead slash with my left arm, lean back and kick ¡¯Two¡¯ in the gut. Then proceed to jump and spin over a horizontal slash landing on my hand and feet, lunging up with a palm strike to the chin of ¡®Three¡®. I take their wrist and twist around it and smash my knee to their elbow. Picking up the vibro-sword I parry another slash of a vibro-axe from ¡®Four¡®, get inside of their guard and stab them through the gut. Once more rolling forward I stab ¡®Three¡¯ in the heart. Then exchange three strikes with ¡¯Five¡¯ cutting his arm off. ¡®Six¡¯ takes advantage of this and comes in from behind ¡¯Five¡¯ with quick jabs of his vibro-sword forcing me back up against the wall, without much choice I decide to fall on his sword, to close in and stab him. All I had left were the first two. They came at me as one ¡¯Two¡® acting as the vanguard to give ¡®One¡¯ an opening. Parrying and dodging I¡¯m stumbling over the bodies under the constant assault, until I grab ¡®Ones¡¯ sword arm with my own newly re-grown arm and redirect it to ¡¯Twos¡¯ leg and then slash my own sword across ¡¯Ones¡¯ chest and then kick aside ¡®Twos¡¯ sword and run him through. ¡®Hah hah goddamn that was tough lost my bloody arm even, damn good thrill though. Wait wasn¡¯t there a seventh?¡¯ I quickly duck as a blade flies overhead, and I cartwheel away to gain some distance, picking up my trusty knife and get in a ready stance. What was before me was the seventh guard with a big grin on his face, pupils dilated and veins bulging around his face. If I had to guess he¡¯s taken some spice and gotten himself into a mad rage. Add on top of that he seems to hold some skill with his sword, he¡¯ll be bothersome. We began circling one another stepping over the bodies and then when we had covered half of the circle, we charge at one another knife against sword he manages to keep me at a distance and struggling to parry his swings, feeling the vibrations from his hits travel all up my arms. I roll to the left and my tendrils pick up an arm and throw it towards him, I quickly follow after diving in close and stabbing him in the heart. I had thought that was it but he swung back staggering, he flailed around a little longer in an attempt to get me but ultimately fell down lifeless. With the fight over I lean back against the wall to catch my breath and take in the scene. I¡¯d dare say that this was my toughest fight to date. But given I¡¯ve two moutain fortresses to take and a Hutt stronghold to take, I¡¯m pretty sure this will be out done. With my rest over I push onward and go to the final door, use a plasma cutter to make a small circle, then I punch it making a hole. Shots fire off but don¡¯t make it through the door; once they calm down I chuck a thermal detonator in and wait for it to go off. Then I take a look in and find them all dead. With that I make my departure and head back to base. Upon getting back I go to the bosses office and give him a list of things I need and when I need them, for the up coming mountain forts. After all a knife and grenade aren¡¯t going to cut it. This time I will need a cloaking device, explosive charges, poison gas to add to the ventilation, a computer interface machine, fusion cutter, speeder bike and my ever trusty thermal detonators. As I leave his office I hear one of his guards by his side whisper about me. ¡°Man she is so hot, and that whole quiet beauty thing she¡¯s got going on makes it all the better.¡± - Guard 1 ¡°Really I find it kind of off putting why doesn¡¯t she speak? All she does is nod or shake her head.¡± - Guard 2 ¡°I heard about her from the other bosses, she never spoke to any of them and came in and out just to pick things up, paying no one any attention. From what the higher ups let slip she is genetically engineered. And they put her through ten years of non stop rigorous training, that would kill a normal person. So there¡¯s likely some sort of trauma going on in her head, like a mind trapped within a mind. I also heard that those Kaminoan were involved and knowing them they probably messed with her mind something nasty. Made her like a robot and juding by how efficient her work is I¡¯m inclined to agree with the assumption.¡± - Boss ¡°Wow do you think I¡¯ve got a chance with her? I mean she shouldn¡¯t have any experience of dealing with guys right.¡± - Guard 1 ¡°Pahaha! You¡¯re nuts she¡¯d kill you in an instant I¡¯d stake money on it.¡± - Guard 2 ¡°Hah¡ I wonder if I¡¯ll ever find a nice gal to settle down with.¡± - Guard 1 Chapter 4 - A Job Well Done - Part 2 *Hroom* *Fsh* I¡¯m currently zooming through a lush green forest, at break neck speeds on a speeder bike. The air passing through my tendrils, flowing through my green cloak and overloading sense as the air hits my body full on. Its very thrilling and I can even feel something pulling at me subconsciously calling to me, to stop and take it in my surroundings. But I cant I¡¯ve work to do, people to kill. I¡¯ve been travelling for two days now heading towards the Kulask mountain range. It spans near half a the country and is well away from civilisation. As I the forest began to thin out I activated my cloaking device, Slowing to a stop at the base of the mountain. I make sure to line myself up with the hangar entrance, two thirds of the way up the mountain. Flat out it would take me a good 30 seconds to reach it, but unfortunately it isn¡¯t left open and only opens to approaching recognised craft. As such I¡¯ve come up with the simple plan of waiting for a ship to approach and time my ascent with it. Then as I get under and past the craft I¡¯ll throw an explosive charge at the ship, then zoom away and blow it as it passes the entrance; hopefully getting rid of the entrance. Then I¡¯ll tear through the base aiming for the ventilation system to deploy the poisonous gas followed by reaching the command centre and lock the base down. Then rinse and repeat with the other base, thankfully I don¡¯t have to redo the entrance as there is a long underground connecting tunnel. Oh speaking of here comes a ship. I zoom off reaching max speed in seconds and fly up the mountain, tucking my body in and weaving in between the larger rocks passing them by mere centimetres. I was coming up fast on the ship and threw the charge at the ship, hearing a metallic clang and pushed the speeder to dive at the entrance. Throwing two thermal detonators to either side, I passed the shocked guards as my cloak deactivated. Seconds later everything exploded in a fiery hell and a heavy rumble. Navigating the corridors was rather difficult, as they were somewhat tight for my speeder. Resulting in me smashing side long into the walls occasionally, running over those not fast enough to jump out of the way, sometimes with an agonising wale. I slide to a stop outside some rather thick looking doors connect up the computer interface and start hacking to open the door. It takes a couple seconds but I get it, upon entering the room I find some computers and a large machine that likely house the detection system for materials. I access the system turning off the detector, then set the ventilation to recycle the inside and make it a closed system. I place the gas bomb inside the system and close it, making sure weld it shut so it cant be opened, the destroy the computer and make my leave and jam the door. With that part of the plan completed I go to the next step, the command centre where I will put the base in lock down and seal everyone¡¯s fate. A few minutes, wall grinds and speed ¡®bumps¡¯ later I reach the command centre in relative ease. But find that the room itself has gone into lockdown and hear a stampede of boots getting louder. Without much choice I go for through the door, after throwing some thermal detonators towards the incoming boots, I commence in cutting a large circle in the door, towards the end shots come flying my way even hitting me knocking me off balance. Annoyed I take it upon myself to deal with these annoyances. I grab my pistol and charge at them firing my own shots and downing three, getting in close I slice through one throat followed with a roundhouse and another shot to someone¡¯s face. I then interlock my arm with another¡¯s and spin around firing further shots into the group and then snap their neck with. With them all dealt with I head on back to the door and carry on cutting. With the circle cut I kick it in and receive a barrage of shots some reflect off my chest while the others hit me burning my flesh. Seemingly unharmed for the large part I fire back walking towards the three gunman and take the down in quick succession. With all apparent threats dealt with I get to work hacking the computer to put the base in lockdown, except the path that leads to the other base. Moving through the base I come across some people who make an attempt to stop me but they easily dealt with by a blaster. I make it down to the connecting tunnel and find that it has a train car to use. I opt to use it over my speeder bike as it¡¯ll be quicker. The train sets off with me and my bike aboard, hurtling down the dimly lit and slowly twisting tunnel. The low thrum in the background gives me a sense peace, a break from all the fighting and chance to rest, it should take about half an hour to get to the other side, where upon I shall dive back into the maelstrom that has become my life. As I arrived it was clear that they knew I was coming, as when the train came into the station it was blown up with me and my bike inside. The wreckage was further peppered with rockets burying me deeper into the ground. Waiting for it to abate I exploded out and jumped up the platform and grabbed onto the leg of one of my assailants who was looking over the edge. I pulled him over as I pulled myself up. Then a gun fight broke out as I charged forward, going for cover, as I moved my cloak was being torn apart along with various belts and pouches. This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. Behind cover I checked over my equipment and found I only had my gun, knife and computer interface. Sighing I decided to amend my plan, rather than poison them all I would go for the ventilation system, and program it to vent all the breathable air out of the place so as to suffocate the everyone. Then go and put the place into lockdown. With the plan in place I made for the exit and fire off covering fire and then hightailed it away and shot a number of people in the way. The trip was rather uninterrupted and managed to alter the system. I then made my way towards the command centre and found that they had fortified and hunkered up inside likely to impede me. Seeing this I decided to just leave after destroying the entrance, effectively trapping everyone inside the two mountains to die. Upon reaching the hangar I¡¯m met with one freighter ship, three shuttles and two star fighters. Making the obvious choice of the fighter I began sabotaging the other ships, when done I got into my new fighter and made to swivel around and shoot the other ships and then leave and shoot the entrance. With the mountains dealt with I flew on to the final part of this long mission, the Hutts. It took 15 minutes to get in sight of the city and I made for my approach. Firing at one of their towers shooting rockets creating a massive explosion, I then aim the fighter towards the centre building, when I get past the forts wall I jump out of the ship to leave it to careen with into the building. Rolling as I land to survey the destruction I see a massive fireball. Well with little else to do I head on in, knife and gun in hand. Charging on in slicing throats shooting heads, it was fairly easy catching people off guard. I was able to ignore a number of guards as they had to deal with the fire. It was also fairly easy to navigate my way through to where the Hutt resides on account of how spacious the particular passages are. Quidarph¡¯s POV ¡°Ahh! What the hell is going on?!¡± For the last four months, some bastard has been tearing through my damned organisation and no one even knows who the hell is responsible. I put bounties out on the one responsible but none ever found them. Even posted multiple watchers on potential targets, and they were either killed or were posted on the wrong targets. Its like I¡¯m fighting a blasted wraith, moving unnoticed and slaughtering by the hundreds. And I can only assume it¡¯s coming for me soon, I got word that the last city I hold power over was lost yesterday. This is why a few days ago I had my strongest bounty hunters and mercenaries gather at my palace and wait for the inevitable arrival of this reaper of lives. If it wasn¡¯t for the fact that they had all but crippled my organisation I would hire them myself. But I never expected this to happen, whilst enjoying my lunch feast there was a sudden and abrupt explosion towards on of my treasure towers and seconds later a ground shacking crash was felt on the other side of the palace. ¡°Damn it, he¡¯s here isn¡¯t he, that bastard. Guards! Guards! Get here now! I want this room filled now!¡± I¡¯m not going to die here. I¡¯m going to crush this bastard like all others that have come after me before. ¡°I am Quidarph Anjiliac Bespa! Ruler of the goddamned underworld no will be beat me!¡± It¡¯s a tense 10 minutes until I begin to hear this beings approach, but all I do hear are the screams and pained cries of the useless guards I¡¯ve employed. And then comes silence and the door slowly begins to raise even though it should be locked down. And before me on the other side of the door, is a tall purple biped unlike any I¡¯ve seen before. Holding only a knife. ¡°Get them now!¡± I yell out. My guards and bounty hunters immediately begin firing, but this wraith dances simply dances between the shots and deflects the ones that come to hit it. Getting closer every second. As they get within combat range they swing their knife around instantly cleaving limbs, ducking in and out of limbs, re-directing blasters or blades to hit their comrades taking them down faster. It¡¯s beautiful on a certain level enchanting even. Before I realise it this wraith has dealt with all of my guards and I¡¯m left alone in it. A single being stood among a field of the dead. Silence stretched out for what felt like an eternity as I stared at this untamed beast, until I lose my resolve and swing my tail round to crush it knowing that I would miss. They quickly ambled up me and began filleting me, nothing that would kill me but painful as all hell, it also made moving around harder as it would only imbue pain in me. It only took them 20 seconds or so to fully immobilise me leaving me fully at their mercy. They stalk around me a few times just staring, no emotion on their face. Not speaking a word, eyeing me up. ¡°What is it?! What do you want from?! You contemptible bastard!¡± Nothing at all. Like a robot. This is really going to be my end. They walk off looking around the room, knocking over boxes until they come across some cooking oil used for my lunch and come back over pouring its contents over me. Knowing what they intend I make another attempt to squish them but am only met with a knife slicing through my tail. Finished covering me they walk off to pick up a blaster and start shooting at me setting the flames alight. ¡°You bastard! You won¡¯t get away with this, my family will avenge me! They will find you and they will kill everyone you know, leaving you to suffer knowing that you brought upon their suffering!¡± I begin roaring as the pain over whelms and my consciousness begins to fade. 3rd POV The Subject walked away from the burning castle, looking emotionless, unmoved from the massacre they had committed. As they made their way through the chaotic city they headed for the space port to return to their prison to await their next assignment. Beginning their legend as a reaper of lives and harbinger of The Black Sun. Chapter 5 - A Spark of Hope After the resounding success that was my first assignment, my life didn¡¯t really change much. I was still treated the same way, like a pet or like an attack dog. I had my kennel, I had my chain, I had my orders. My life was nothing more than what The Black Sun said it was. Having cleared an entire planet of Hutt influence and weakened their influence over the sector as a hole. The Black Sun now needed to consolidate their influence over the sector, with the planet as a staging ground of sorts. This meant that I was sent out on further assassinations to take out key individuals working against The Black Sun; this also involved protecting and aiding their allies. To accomplish this The Black Sun decided to put to use two of my racial traits, which are to survive in the vacuum of space and my repulsor-lift abilities to move freely through space, allowing for more audacious and vulnerable assassinations. My targets were mostly made up of smugglers and mercenaries that had not bent a knee yet or agreed to the terms given for working in the sector. Essentially it all boiled down to money. It was quite simple to carry out the missions, I just had to wait in orbit around their planetary destination and as they come in to land I would close in, cut my way in and proceed to kill my target. Leaving the ship to float on, to either burn up in the atmosphere and crash into the sea or be shot down, because they were on a collision course with other ships or settlements. In fact my first target was quite a noticeable event as well as thrilling what with it being the first time I¡¯ve done such a thing. --- It all started with me once again sitting alone in my room, waiting for a new assignment like the good little dog that I am. When someone came in with a data pad, paying no attention to me as they threw it towards me, I think they were aiming for my head, I caught with ease mind you. Upon reading the data pad I found out my new assignment was to take out the decentres that were made up of various criminals and corrupt politicians. What I found interesting about it was that it would all be conducted in space. Where I would be like a ghost as no one would be able to see or detect me unless they were really close; at which point I would already have acted and they wouldn¡¯t be able to fly away fast enough. I was soon after ferried into a pod and had a watch strapped onto my wrist to act as guide and warning for incoming targets. All so I wouldn¡¯t get lost in space. Once in orbit I was ejected from my pod and left to wait for my targets approach. Being left out in the expanse of space was an interesting experience, as there was no sound what so ever beside the flow of my own blood as it circulated through of my body. The holographic display on my watch indicated that my target was approaching, as such I began to drift in its direction. It was a small craft that could fit about ten people and carry a hover car or tow in cargo, meant to quick and unnoticed . Getting close enough I grabbed a hold of the craft and dug my claws in if the pilot noticed me and tried to shake me. Prying a panel off of the ship I managed to squeeze my way to the inside of the ship and tore my way inside, which was a dicey thing to do as the protocol for such a thing happening is to either activate Ray shields which would have cut me in half or bring down another layer of metal and sealing off the hole. This ship went with the second option allowing only a few seconds to get inside proper. With myself now situated inside I made my way through the ship and found somewhere to hide, between the path from my entry point to the cockpit and waited for the pilot to pass by. It didn¡¯t long for them to come and I acted quickly, he had no idea what happened and likely didn¡¯t realise he was dead either. With my mission over I made sure to change the course of the ship it would avoid the spaceport, but still be visible to the pilots as it crashed. To send a message. With that done I headed to the back and opened up the loading bay and was quickly pushed our. After reorienting myself I followed my watch back to my ship and proceeded to head back to base. Upon my return there were no congratulations or pats on the backs I was just ushered back into my room and left to wait for when I was called again. And truth be told I didn¡¯t mind all that much. --- My following missions were of a similar nature to the first, infiltrate a ship, kill the crew, then make sure it crashes where people can see it to send a message. My targets were often smugglers refusing to pay tax for passing through the system, pirates that disrupt business, those ones were always messy. Then there was one ambassador who was sent to investigate all the recent deaths within the system, under the guise of a diplomatic mission, he also happened to be in the pocket of the Hutt¡¯s. Nonetheless he met a similar end to the others. This brings us to today where I have been sent to act as a bodyguard and assassin to a Black Sun supporter. My job is to make sure that the business partner isn¡¯t killed and to take care of the rebellious elements in their little kingdom. The reason for this assignment is because Doan¡¯s Prince Gerran was killed by a group of rebels, so the King called in a favour with The Black Sun. So I head off to Doan to begin my work. The flight there was uneventful but upon arriving at the planet I was impressed to see the unique stone columns that rose five kilometres into the sky and several hundred metres in diameter making for an amazing horizon. At the top of each column were a four to one manors of varying size, that all looked to be very lavish. Made from various polished stone like marble and granite with metal fixtures such as gold and platinum; all of it, combined to make for a very dazzling display and I could only assume it would look even better at sunset and sunrise. From this it was obvious that there was going to be a disparate gap between the classes, but that wasn¡¯t my problem. Whilst admiring the various manors my ship flew itself towards a column that held a lavish castle atop itself, surrounded by other columns with a large manor on each. This castle was made of a red marble like stone, with gold accents on it, with orange tinted windows. There was a single central spire pointing out of the top of the three story castle. My ship landed and I stepped out to be met by four human guards and who I assume to be an advisor or representative of the king to escort me, who was also human. ¡°Greetings Harbinger, my name is Silec Munda, the king''s aid. If you¡¯ll follow me I will bring you to the king.¡± Silec stated and then turned and left, not waiting for a reply and I simply followed after him toward the four metre tall double doors made of stone. We walked through the halls in silence, along the walls were many paintings of vistas and people, with the occasional pedestal of with a sculpture atop it. After taking a number of turns we finally got to a corridor lined with both art and soldiers leading to large black intimidating doors. As they are pushed open I see a man sat in a large chair behind a large wooden desk and with a few sheets of paper and a few devices for work. He had grey hair and a few wrinkles over his face and looked tired, he wore a simple grey suit without buttons. Hearing the door open he looked up to us and sat back and waited for us to approach. ¡°So you¡¯re finally here, good. Look I don¡¯t need your protection or anything, just concentrate on your target and bring me the head of the one who killed my son and deal with his little rebellion. If there is anything you require talk to Silec and he¡®ll deal with it.¡± I simply nod and take my leave as I don¡®t need anything already know the targets general location, from the mission briefing I received. Landing on the lower levels I got out and began to walk around in search of one of the resistances members and begin to track them down and follow them back to their headquarters. But instead they went off to a disused mine and entered nonchalantly, if I was look out for them I wouldn¡¯t have noticed. Tailing him into the mine I originally stuck to the shadows and slinked further in. Eventually he stopped at a crevice in the tunnel and entered. I waited a minute before entering, what I found on the other side could only be described as a rebel hideout. It was a large cavern with a body of water to the right that three watercraft sitting on it¡¯s surface, that looked capable of submerging itself. There were wires running throughout the place connecting to various machines and computers, to the other side there were various boxes and crates stacked up, some of them had their tops open revealing various blasters, explosives and armour. To the back of this cavern was a small gathering of people leaning over a holo display table, pointing at various images that were being displayed. In all I counted 33 people gathered here, seven were at the table and the rest were scattered throughout the rest of the cavern, three over by the submersibles. If I was going to kill all of them, I would need to ensure to cut off their escape routes. So far I have only noted two, the crevice and the water, I could use explosives to destroy the submersibles and then stand in front of the crevice but that would make me an easy target and I wouldn¡¯t be able to stop anyone if there was another escape route, so I guess I¡¯ll blow up the crevice as well to ensure there are no other escape routes.Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work! With the general plan laid out I began to move first with quick purposeful yet hidden steps towards the explosives. I manage to get to them without being spotted and grab four of them, then with precise aim I throw them one after another to the different targets. In seconds the cavern goes from an organised operation to a chaotic mess, with people being thrown through the air as others are vapourised, the air being filled with cries of pain and anguish. But this chaos is reined in by one of the people among them he is quick to act and render aid to those who are suffering while giving out orders for other people to put out fires and begin a search. He was even able to save one of the men by the water by putting up his arm and somehow pulling them towards him he also is in fact dressed differently to the others here. He initially wore a robe but he was quick to discard it to reveal a brown over tunic and light brown under tunic underneath, with loose white trousers and brown leather boots, he also wore a utility belt. All of it was pretty plain and unadorned. As I said he was quick to take control of the situation and give out orders, but I wasn¡¯t going to let them regain control so easily and began to pick off the stragglers, taking them out nice and quiet, my preferred method with my ever reliable vibroknife. Though as I did this person seemed to close his eyes and concentrate on something then all of a sudden he opened his eyes and looked directly at me, though his eyes didn¡¯t hold any of the usual anger or despair I receive from my targets. They were calm and resolute, they were dangerous. I didn¡¯t waste any more time and ran back to the explosives to collect some more and then threw them into the air, though again he raised his hand and this time pushed them into the water negating the explosive force, but this gave me the time to grab a blaster and start shooting at those around him. And once more he was quick to act charging towards the bolts that I fired at the other people, pulling out a tube and pressing a button upon it. Then a green light grows from it and deflecting some of the bolts, saving a few lives but this brings my kill count up to 13. This man must be a Jedi, I¡¯ve only been given descriptions about them and how they fight, but never encountered them face to face before. This will be a tough fight but I should be able to win it. During my realisation the Jedi had not stood idle and was charging towards me at absurd speeds for a normal person, but it was still something I could keep up with. I quickly threw my blaster at him which he cut apart and carried on unperturbed. I used this chance to get out of his way and attack from the side by jumping off a crate. He was quick to react and somersaulted over me, striking down quickly. He then threw a kick my way to ensure that I can¡¯t attack his back but I caught it and pulled it towards me and went to stab his leg but he was quick to roll out of the way and swing his blade at me. ¡°Who are you? My name is Medd Tandar Knight of the Jedi Order. Why do you attack us?¡± The Jedi Knight asks me, but I don¡¯t answer. Seeing that my blade is going to be of little use to me in this fight, on account of it¡¯s smaller range and inability to deflect the lightsabers, I put it back in it¡¯s sheete and got into a stance from the Ter?s K?si school of martial arts and closed off my mind the best I could to any possible influence from the Jedi and prepared to fight a new. I quickly move charging towards him head on, as I get closer I use the golden plates on my arms to block his attacks, but they appear to only be able to take glancing blows from the lightsaber, but using them aloud me to get close, within his guard in fact and I wasn¡¯t going to waste this chance. I thrust my right hand into his abdomen and then thrusting my left into his kidney, delivering two bone breaking hits to his body or so I hoped as the second hit missed as he pulled away from me. But I kept as close as I could so as not to allow him to use his lightsaber to its full effect, he tried to kick me away but I just absorbed the hit and delivered a hit to his leg causing him to stumble. Seeing things weren¡¯t going to turn out well for him he raised his hand once more and pushed me back without touching me. I was sent flying back into a wall making my own little imprint of it all. I fell to the ground slumped, trying to play this off as his win so I could ambush him. He stalked over to me and went to strike at me once more, it seems he can sense whether I am dead or not. Seeing as I won¡¯t be able to win the fight without taking injuries I throw all caution to the wind and jump up towards him my arms outstretched claws ready to rip apart his throat. At this he didn¡¯t hesitate to pierce my heart, he ran his lightsaber all the way up to the hilt, the sounds of burning muscle and sinew resounding in both our ears. It was as his lightsaber pierced threw me that a new explosion resounded around us, encompassing us both. It seems that someone wanted us both gone. I looked towards the rebels but it wasn¡¯t them that attacked us, I continued to look around as I flew through the air eventually spotting the back of red skinned head with horns protruding towards the front belonging to woman with black makeup over her face submerging into the water leaving us to our expected deaths. Which would be quite natural after all the two of us were caught up in an explosion over four metres in diametre throwing both of us away and burning out bodies, any normal person would most definitely be dead, I will be sure to pay that person back for this. But then I¡¯m not a normal person, this explosion did indeed hurt as it blew off my left arm and a significant part of my upper body, but I was quick to recover from that my body healing itself and regrowing the missing pieces. The Jedi on the other hand was not so lucky, after all he was just human and not capable of my level of regeneration even with the force I¡¯m sure. I found him splayed out on the ground face and body horribly burned but still barely alive, noticeable from the slight rise and fall of his chest. Not one to pass up an opportunity to strike down my enemies just as my training has taught me I picked up his lightsaber, which had managed to survive the explosion, and activated it and in a quick motion decapitate him. With the main threat now dealt with I loosened up a little, quite literally, and grew in size and bulk, this would make me more flexible and stretchy while at the same time not drop my speed to much. Though it did make me a larger target as I was quick to find out. I was quickly covered in blaster fire, it seems they were craving my attention so I shall rectify this. The blaster bolts signed and seared my flesh some even putting holes in me. Though none of them were able to fell me or knock me off my feet, they¡¯ll have to try much harder than that. I then proceeded to kill the rest of them they offered little in the way of resistance, a simple slice to their midsection or stab through the heart and they were down. They were left with nowhere to flee to and as such had to fight with all they had, using all of the weapons at their disposal though the fact that I was between them and their weapons impeded them in their ability to survive. I¡¯d like to say it was fun but I just can¡¯t seem to feel those sort of feelings. With all of them dead I looked around for a way out, I had collapsed the crevice so I couldn¡¯t leave through there any more this left me with the water. Afterall that woman from earlier proved that there was a way in and out through there. So swimming it was, I decided not to tighten up my muscles and instead see if I could swim like an octopus or squid, by pushing the water through the gaps in my limbs by tightening my muscles. I was something of a brick in the water as I sank rather fast, I had decided to keep a hold of the lightsaber that I had obtained but seeing as the Jedi¡¯s utility belt had been destroyed in the explosion along with what little clothes I wear I decided to place it in the only safe play that I have, Myself. Now don¡¯t get wrong when I say myself I¡¯m not sticking it anywhere it shouldn¡¯t go or eating it, I am instead open up my chest and placing between the many tendons within me, to hold it all snug like. Anyway I took a deep breath and dived into the water and waited to get level before trying to swim, once I was parallel with the ground I tightened my muscles and forced out the water from within them and was greeted with a resounding success. I was propelled along at a fair pace, it wasn¡¯t anything comparable to a vehicle or anything but it was certainly faster than the breast stroke for example; though I did need to familiarise myself with this new method of moving. I spent the next 45 minutes moving through the water searching for a way out through all the many tunnels that made up this underwater maze. Thankfully I didn¡¯t have to worry about suffocating for some reason, a definite plus to being able to move around in the freezing vacuum that is space. Regardless though I did finally find my way out of the maze of tunnels and reach the surface once more. I found myself in a river that came out under a waterfall it was surrounded by a rocky terrain on either side, I must be out in the mountains somewhere, judging from the lack of any development in the area I wasn¡¯t anywhere near civilization. But thankfully I have my handy dandy wrist watch that is capable of keeping track of me and my surroundings even able of pinpointing my exact location in space so I just had to follow the directions back to my ship. As I made my way through the rocky terrain that laid before me I felt a slight pull at my mind, almost urging me to go towards it though I decided to ignore it and continue on with my long trek back. Though the further I went over the rocks the stronger the pull got, eventually without me realising it I had changed the direction I was walking heading somewhere else. Soon enough I found myself at an opening in the ground it was rather dark inside, but nothing my eyes and sense of my surroundings couldn¡¯t handle. So giving in the tug I ventured inside to see I could find what was pulling at my mind. Stepping over the uneven and unlevel rocks that covered the ground I made my further into the chasm delving deeper as I did so. Eventually all light was extinguished and I was left in the pitch black darkness but still not blind, this continued on for another 15 minutes until I finally came to a dead end where there lay nothing. But I still felt the pull coming from behind the rock face and decided that I would find out what it was that was tugging at mind no matter what, and started hitting the wall with all my might using my claws and plate as a pickaxe and sledge hammer combo. Eventually the rock face crumbled before my relentless assault and revealed yet another tunnel though this one was formed through unnatural means, evidenced by the tiled floor and the pillars that supported the ceiling. Following on the tunnel slowly opened up to reveal a single pedestal and a small black tetrahedron with golden accents around its borders encasing it, it was small enough to fit within the palm of my hand. Now that I was standing before the tetrahedron the pull was stronger than ever and urged me to pick it up and just like that I did. Coming into contact with my hand it slowly flared to life, a red energy filling the black stone turning it all red, I also felt a pull from within heading towards it. Suddenly like a dam had been opened my mind was afflicted by an intense pain as if something had exploded within my head and then something else had stabbed at it from the outside. My entire body went into spasms entirely contracting, my hair tendrils squirming all over the place, it was so intense in fact that I passed out from it all. Chapter 6 - Another Awakening ¡°Oh god my head hurts so much, did I go drinking last night?¡± I ask myself as I wake up from what could only be a night of heavy drinking. But despite the state of my head my body felt better than ever, more limber and rested than I could have imagined maybe I got myself a massage in my drunken stupor. ¡°Oh god!¡± Though these thoughts came to an end when I opened my eyes and found myself in a cold dark stone room, that was definitely not my room there wasn¡¯t even a bed. I quickly stumbled to my feet but was quickly knocked off of them by a sudden surge of memories that crashed into me like a tidal wave. ¡°Oh no! Oh no no no. This can¡¯t be, there¡¯s no way this can be possible. I was asleep in my bed just last night, how could this happen?¡± I try and convince myself that this isn''t happening to me, tears flowing from my eyes, but I know deep down that this is all real and there is nothing I could possibly do to change the situation. My memory has just come back to me for some reason, it would appear that my soul has been taken or ripped from my body and placed within this new body whilst I was asleep. But because of something that the aliens did to me I wasn¡¯t myself, instead acting like their little bitch, doing everything they told me to do, not making a fuss for all of the pain and suffering that they inflicted upon me. Even Reaping hundreds of lives without hesitation, I was nothing but a convenient little puppet for them. ¡°THOSE BASTARDS!!! I WILL MAKE THEM SUFFER FOR ALL OF THIS!!! UUWAHHH!!!¡± I throw an understandable tantrum at these realisations bringing my fists down upon the ground repeatedly with more and more force and anger, the ground unable to take any more of my fury breaks apart sinking my hands within, capturing them. I took this moment of immobility to really let loose my emotions, scream as loud as I could cry as much as I could, there was no one around to hear me anyway. My life has been stolen from me, everything I knew and loved taken away from me put far beyond my reach. I will never again be able to eat with my family, go shopping with Sarah, take Peter to the park. I will never again to experience the warmth and love that they felt for me, all because of these bastards! I vented my frustrations for what felt like hours until I came back to my senses and finally removed my hands from the ground. I took this moment to inspect my hand, they really weren¡¯t my own. They were at least one and half times bigger than my own, covered in warm purple muscle that pumped blood through them with vigour, uncaring for my plight and ending in four golden claws an inch in length that appeared sharp enough to tear through metal. The purple muscles covered the entirety of my body, packed so tightly together they almost seemed like skin but there wasn¡¯t an inch of skin to be see nor bone felt, I had digitigrade legs that both ended in the same four golden claws as my hands with one claw at the back of my feet. I had wide shapely hips that were common on a woman this was accompanied by a large chest, it wasn¡¯t separated into two breasts or even have nipples though, it was just a single large mass of muscle though it did feel sensitive just like the rest of my body. I could feel the very air move and every inch of me. I saw 18 golden plates strewn over my body on each major bone and felt another five down my back. None of it covered by a thread of clothing, thanks to some bitch. As for my head I had finger thick black tendrils that appeared to move at my will or simply hang there motionless, upon closer inspection of them I found out that they had tiny little barbs for holding onto things. As for what else I felt upon my head I had two small cones instead of ears, two large eyes, two nostrils but no nose to speak of and a single mouth with two lower jaws apparently, one that grew inside the mouth and another that grew along the outside like tusks. Having given my body a thorough investigation I¡¯m glad to find that I am still humanoid in appearance which will make it easier to get used to my body. Despite gaining experience in this body, having just truly awoken the recent memories have been somewhat overridden by my old life, but the muscle memories should make up for that only requiring a few hours of practice. I suppose one of the few things I can be thankful for in this situation is that I was given a whole load of information and training, which I can now use to fuck over those bastards from the Black Sun and the scientists. I will most definitely make them regret doing all of this and let them share in some of my pain, it is only right after all gotta balance those scales and they are very off kilter. Now what to do? Ah I know! ¡°I¡¯ll be taking you for later, you can sit right next to my new toy.¡± I say picking up the obvious Sith holocron placing it inside of my chest next to my new lightsaber, after all I¡¯m sure that if it wasn¡¯t for the holocron I wouldn¡¯t have woken up, the force is nothing to mess with it would seem. That¡¯s right baby you heard me, Sith Holocron I¡¯d recognise this little device anywhere, there aren¡¯t many fictional universes that have something that look like this not have a lightsaber. It would appear that another blessing that I¡¯ve been given is being dragged within the Star Wars universe, a place that I know fairly well or rather the history I know fairly well, I¡¯m an avid fan afterall. The only problem is that I don¡¯t know the date, maybe it¡¯s before the Clone Wars or after, there¡¯s no way to tell at the moment. With my new holocron tucked away I made my way out of the cavern that I had found myself in, clambering my way back up to the surface. Once under the sun again I looked to my watch for directions and promptly followed them. What followed was a long trek over rocky terrain and through a small forest, while the sun set and raised all before I got back to my ship. ¡°Ah finally back, I¡¯m starving let¡¯s see where was the food again? Ah here.¡± I opened up a panel within my little space ship and took out some vacuum sealed food, promptly opening the packet and emptying it into mouth and I¡¯ve got to say it was some of the blandest shit that I¡¯ve ever tasted. ¡°Stingy bastards, the least they could do is spring for some tasty food for their pet. Tch.¡± I mutter to myself while doing up my harness and preparing the ship for flight. Soon enough I took off and headed back towards the palace that I entered before coming down to these lower levels. Remembering my way towards his study, I walked unperturbed by all the guards, towards the King¡¯s study and entered to tell of my completion. ¡°I¡¯ve dealt with the target that you gave me along with the small rebellion group and Jedi that they had on their side, they shouldn¡¯t be any further bother to you.¡± I state to him without any respect or with the silence that I gave him last time. Although I want those Black Sun bastards dead I can¡¯t just come at them swinging otherwise they will see me coming from a mile away, and as such will carry on as usual so as not to raise suspicion. ¡°That¡¯s good to hear you have my gratitude Harbinger. You may go.¡± He orders me and I am happy to do as told because I want to get killing as soon as possible. So I make a hasty retreat back to my ship and get out of here, along the way I also pilfered a little golden sculpture. I¡¯m sure these people aren¡¯t what you would be consider good people afterall they hired the services of the Black Sun.A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation. --- I am now moments away from returning to base and am preparing myself to go on a rampage and slaughter everyone here. Although I said it wouldn¡¯t be smart to come at them swinging it should be easy enough with this outpost, there aren¡¯t more than 40 people aboard and none of would expect me to suddenly flip on them. I will in fact use their expectations of me against them, in recent months they have been leaving me to return to my kennel by myself, like a trained dog, this time though I¡¯m going to head straight for their control room and throw the entire facility into lockdown. Then hunt the fuckers down one by one until they¡¯re all dead, then I will raid their computers and see if I can¡¯t find any information about those who worked on making me and pilfer as many credits as possible. My ship comes into the hangar and lands without any guidance needed, within the hanger are 13 people and six people working on various ships, keeping them in working order. None of them pay me any attention, thinking of me the same as a robot, not requiring any acknowledgement. I go on to make my way through the corridors at a leisurely pace passing only a few people and robots along the way. I moved through the halls like a ghost, without a sound and unnoticed. Eventually I came upon the door that lead to the control room, I walked up to it and it opened upon noticing my presence. Inside were seven people, of various colours and races, mulling around doing their own thing at various stations but some of them looked up to see. ¡°Hey! What are you doing here? Go back to your kennel. Damn dog.¡± One in particular walked up to me and tried pushing me away, I just looked right into his eyes as he pushed against me, actually managed to make him flinch. I then slowly smiled at him showing off my teeth that felt rather jagged and pointy, this only served to worry him further. I then walked forward into the room pushing him back with my body, soon after the door closed behind me. ¡°Hello.¡± I said in my most venomous tone even adding in a small rumble. ¡°I¡¯m glad that we now have this¡ opportunity to talk.¡± The more I talked the more they appeared to grow fearful. ¡°You know this last little trip you sent me on was quite eye opening, it allowed me to really think about my life and what I want, you know?¡± ¡°How are you talking? Why aren¡¯t you doing as told?¡± One of the people at the consoles asks, looking quite fearful. ¡°Oh well something got knocked loose inside of my head and freed me from my servitude and I must say I¡¯m not particularly happy with what you¡¯ve done to.¡± I give my reply to their question, deciding to pick up the man that stood before me by the neck. ¡°You I was never fond of killing. I can accept in some circumstances that it can be necessary. But I always felt that needless death could be avoided with a rational conversation, where one''s grievances can be aired and worked through.¡± I slowly speak, closing my grasp around the man¡¯s throat and tears beginning to pour from my eyes, my face may have even contorted a bit. ¡°But you bastards took away my will and forced me kill hundreds of people, not allowing me even an ounce of self respect or thought. You raped my mind, violated it, defiled it even. The only thing I can be thankful about in this whole situation is that in being imprisoned within my own my mind has removed such shackles from my mind and allowed me to gain the resolve needed to go a galaxy spanning killing spree in a bout of vengeance and fury.¡± I finish my speech with crushing the man¡¯s neck and dropping him. ¡°The Harbinger has given their message and is here to collect.¡± I say before launching into the next man and plunging my clawed fist into his stomach and gouging out his organs. I then throw him towards one of my fleeing victims, knocking him down. Some of the others reach into the clothes and pull out blaster and fire at me but I was too quick for them and managed to block most of their shots with my plates closing on them by the second and tearing out their throats and organs in swift motions to ensure a painful death. It didn¡¯t take me long to tear through each and everyone of them, thanks to the training that they gave me, thankfully in their fear none of them had the sense of mind to set off the alarm or send off a message to others. This left me the control room at my disposal, the first thing I did was put the entire facility on lockdown and jam communications both in and out of the facility except for the terminal that I was using. With my prey now sealed inside and unable to escape the facility I took the time to look through the records and files that were held within this facility and then hack into outside terminals to retrieve more information about the Harbinger Project, who worked on it and where they are. For the next two hours I scrolled through hundreds of data logs, picking out names and locations, writing my own code to seek out information within the server relating to the Harbinger Project. In total I found 174 people had worked on the project in a meaningful way, the majority of which were Kaminoan and Arkanian the rest being members of the Black Sun. The Kaminoans and Arkanians were mostly within their home systems, few were spread throughout the galaxy, so I wouldn¡¯t need to run all over the place to find them, though it will allow them to get the word out about my little hunt so I¡¯m going to need to be fast. With my targets locations downloaded onto a device that I could plug into a ship''s interface I started making other preparations, chief among them bleeding the Black Sun¡¯s accounts dry, or rather the ones I could get access to from this terminal, in total I managed to get my hands on 1,225,327 Galactic Credits which I think roughly translates to ¡ê450,000. This should be enough to get me around and allow me to kill everyone that I want, afterwards though I¡¯m going to need to find a new source of income, maybe I can carry on with my current line of work I¡¯m not bad at it and no longer have any compunctions towards it. Anyway with my preparations made I set about the extermination of all life within this facility, making sure to erase all data from the terminals and deactivate the cameras so that the Black Sun doesn¡¯t get confirmation that it is me who¡¯s responsible for this mess. I started walking through the halls once more, the bulkheads only opening up for me. I tracked down each of the remaining employees of the station using the force to sense out their life signatures. I¡¯m not sure how I know how to do this mind you, it¡¯s pretty innate in nature. It was a pretty simple affair of walking through the rooms and corridors shooting those that were trapped inside. They were mostly mulling around waiting for the lockdown to be deactivated so that they could continue on with their work, when I would open the door they would in turn look thankful towards me for freeing them of their little imprisonment, before looking fearful as I raised my blaster to shoot them. Clearing out the entire facility took me over an hour as they were pretty spread out throughout the place. I also made sure to deactivate all of the robots that I came across and fry their systems erasing any and all recordings of me they had. I want to be as much of a ghost as possible to these fools. With the clean up taken care of I then headed towards the power station of this facility to rig it to blow at my command, wiping out this entire place. The Black Sun really did cram a great deal of knowledge into my head, making all of this so much easier to do. As I left for the hanger I made sure to pick up some basic clothes to wear when I am in public. I may not have any genitals on display, as far as I am aware, but I ain¡¯t no Wookiee. I found myself some simple black spandex shorts and top and a black leather coat, pretty non descript in my opinion and it fit rather well. Everything set I got into a ship that was ready to leave and input the device with everyone''s location, choosing to first visit the Kaminoans, I took off and flew out of the hanger. Once a safe distance away I stopped the ship and blew up the facility, it was a spectacular show, explosions in space are far more interesting they have no gravity pushing against them. Now with the show over I flew off into space to start my hunt.
