 Chapter 0: introduction( please read to learn a little about the MC and his world)

    Hi my name is Ley, I don''t know what else i can say than that. If your interested though I guess i could say a bit more. I''m 19 years old this year and well........ I don''t know how else to put it but I''m hated by pretty much everyone. Don''t get the wrong idea I''m not a bad guy it''s just I''m what''s called a fallen celestial. The truth is all that means is that i was born with a black wing instead of white ones, and yes you heard me right i said wing as in singular as in i have only one wing on my left side.


    Now see where my kind are from "the celestials that is" is called the citadel, it''s the ancestorial home of the celestials but here''s the thing up there in the citadel my existence is treated as the sign of untold doom and destruction. So what was the celestial kings solution, throw me out into an orphanage on the same day i was born. By the way i may have forgotten to mention the previously mentioned king is my old man, yea i''m a prince that''s also supposedly the bringer of the end of the world.


    Even after I was thrown out and put into the orphanage thing didn''t get better, nope that was just the start of my suffering. Growing up i tried to make friends with the other kids but they all avoided me like a plague even the caretakers would actively do there best to not interact with me. So when i turned 13 I left the orphanage and tried to live on my own "fat lot a good that did" no would even consider giving me a job not even cleaning toilets was an option. for years now I''ve dug what i could find that was edible out of the trash. Well that only lasted for about a week, till i got so sick i almost died but as usual no one cared but I survived.


    After that horrible experience i decided that I would just hunt what i could in the forest outside the city, I even made a small hut for myself out there where i live now. I still come into the city from time to time mostly just to see if i could find my one little piece of joy in the world which is too say books. But since i had no money and even if I did no book store would even let me in the door I would look to see if I could find any discarded books. Over the past few years I''ve been able to make a nice little collection of mostly intact books, the worst damaged one of them is missing its front cover but the title was on the first page so it was fine.

    Anyway I''m sure your bored of listening to me ramble on about my shithole of a life but i will say one last thing that''s in spite of what you might think I''m not angry or hateful, I don''t blame anyone for my problems my parents didn''t decide for me to be born the way i was and as for everyone else it''s just a natural reaction to want to stay away from someone who was thrown out by his whole race even if you don''t know why.


    Well I bet your curious about this world that has people like my race in it well I''ll feed that curiosity. This world is called Vestra, It''s made of 8 continents, 5 that form a star shape and 3 that form a triangle inside the star shape made by the other 5. In this world the''re 7 so called high races and hundreds of so called lower races. The high races are the humans, the dwarves, the high elves, the naga, the dragons, the beastmen, and of course the celestials.


    This world is in the height of prosperity even with monsters running wild. That''s because of the amazing balance of both magic and science that is constantly raising each others possibilities by making new discoveries that the other can also benefit from.


    The world is mostly at peace with small skirmishes here and there but nothing major. This mostly in part to the hard work and unity of the alliance made by the 7 high races. Well I say that but the dragons don''t get involved unless something devastating happens which it never does so they mostly keep to themselves. Either way with the world as peaceful as it is i really couldn''t care less if people avoid me i actually enjoy the quiet life i live.


    But little did i know very soon my life was going to change and with that change the wheels of fate would start moving toward an uncertain future that I most definitely didn''t expect let alone believe would ever be possible.

 chapter 1: The day everything changed

    As the sun came over the horizon and the morning mist still clung to the ground in a small clearing a few miles deep in the forest that surrounds the port city of Darlung was a single figure. He was standing next to a handmade fire pit where a couple of rabbits could be seen slowly roasting. As he stood there watching to make sure his breakfast wouldn''t burn you would think he was some kind of woodsman or hunter but that was far from the truth.


    If you were too take a good look at that man you would see a few very unusual things. The first thing you would notice would be his most striking feature, his single black wing that sprouted from his back just behind his left shoulder. The next thing you would notice is that he was young,much too young to be a hunter with the experience to live in this forest known for being the home of strong monsters. Finally if you were to take a good look at him you could see he was thin unnaturally so even but if you were to ask him about it he would just nonchalantly answer with "this is how I''ve always been so pay it no mind" with a smile on his face that would make any woman swoon. Or that would be the case if he wasn''t avoided like a plague do to being thrown out by his whole race being seen as the one who will bring doom to the world just by existing.


    His name is Ley but that name is the one he gave himself when he was little since he had no name given to him by his parents before he was thrown away on the same day he was born. He knows who his parents are simply because the race that Ley is from ''the celestials'' are born with the ability to completely understand what going on around them. He could understand what was said about him by his parents and the doctor that had preformed the delivery.


    Basically nothing good could be said about him even by his own parents the king and queen of the celestials. Yep that''s right our poor pathetic friend here is a prince that was not even given a chance too know what living the life of a celestial was like. But no matter how much loneliness he felt he still didn''t blame anyone for his misfortune he believed it was just the lot in life given to him by the gods and went about his life trying too find whatever joy he could day to day. Then just as every other day Ley started by having breakfast but unlike any day that came before today something was going too break the endless cycle of his day to day life. Today something would happen that would change his life forever and be the start of his rise from the most hated thing on the planet to someone the world would come too respect and adore.


    Ley- Well now that I''ve eaten what should i do? Should I go over to the lake and go for a swim or just head into town and see if i can find any new books to add to my collection?


    "sigh" Man I just don''t feel like getting the evil eye of death treatment today so i guess i head to the lake.


    On his way to the lake Ley noticed something glowing on the tree he''s passed so many times he could state from memory where every scratch, break, and chip was on it. This strange glow was new and Ley had a sense of curiosity that would make all the cats in the world shriek in terror each time he found something new to learn about.


    (I''m referring to the old saying" curiously killed the cat" here for those who don''t understand my wording)


    As Ley approached the strange glow something tickled at the back of his mind. That was his sense of self preservation screaming at him " get the hell out of here idiot" but as usual his curiosity gave that feeling a good ol'' suplex and shut it up and sent it to its corner.


    Ley- Hmm what is this, I''ve never seen this thing here before? It looks like some kind of glyph or rune but why is it here of all places, I''m sure it wasn''t here yesterday when i came this way but there hasn''t been anyone come through this part of the forest but me in years so how?


    As Ley was asking all these questions the strange symbol started moving while his attention was focused on his questions. When he finally stopped mumbling to himself he looked up and saw something that most people would say he was insane or not all there if he told them.


    Ley- Huuuuuwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the actually hell am i seeing, this isn''t possible magic runes and glyphs can''t just rearrange and rewrite themselves I know that much about magic even if i can''t use it.


    As Ley was having a panic attack from what was happening in front of him and thinking the years of loneliness had finally broke him and he went insane a voice spoke as if from no where.


    ???- Please calm down Ley you aren''t insane so take a deep breath and steady yourself.


    Ley- Huh?!?! Who''s there? Where are you? How do you know my name? And more importantly why are you talking to me?


    Ley was starting too really panic and question his sanity now that he was hearing a voice that came from nowhere. His eyes darted back and forth, His teeth chattered uncontrollably, and he was viably sweating buckets. When he was about to lose it for real and just bang his head against a tree till the voice stopped then he came to a revelation.


    Ley- Ah I see, I understand now. So that''s what this is huh, well no matter I was ready for this day to come eventually. It was nice while it lasted but as they say "all good things must come to an end."


    ???- Um might i ask what you''re talking about you seem to have come to a conclusion of some sort but the way your talking makes me think there might be some sort of misunderstanding going on.


    Ley- Miss........ Um whoever you are I understand completely what going on and i knew it would happen someday so I''m ready just do it.


    ???- Do what exactly? I''m not sure what you mean.More to the point how is it possible for you to have predicted this meeting. It''s not possible for you to have foreseen this happening.


    Ley- Look I really don''t care if you like making this slow and painful but please don''t treat me like I''m an idiot. I''m a celestial and just like any other celestial i could understand everything that was said about me when I was born and none of it was good. It''s not too hard too figure out that my existence was something that was going too be ended by order of my father the king. So get on with it slit my throat or is it that really do want to draw this out. In that case here''s a few ideas to make it more enjoyable for you. You can rip every feather out of my wing one by one until there''s none left then cover me in dozens of small cuts and fill them with salt after that tie me to a post and light a fire under me and enjoy the show of me burning alive till my screams stop and i no longer breathe. Hows that for the long drawn out death show you want.


    ???-............................


    Ley- What still not good enough? Hmm let me think i guess you could also..


    As if the doors of hell themselves opened up an unfathomable dread could be felt coming from the voice as it screamed.


    ??? Stop!!!!!!!!! Why would you think i would do anything like that also why would you think you were going to be killed in the first place and just calmly start listing off methods that even the inquisitors from hell wouldn''t use unless it was for a person that was so vile and evil that they could only be called worse then a demon. What brought you to the point of expecting someone too just show up one day and kill you and not even care that you were going to die like is was a natural thing to be murdered just like that.


    Ley was thrown off for a second. He couldn''t understand what this person was playing at. Was she trying to open me up to an attack? But she didn''t need to i was willing to just stand here and accept her blade or spell and die to make everyone happy.

    Ley- Well I mean it''s just that everyone in the world hates me even if its just because i was born with a single black wing. I don''t blame anyone for my shitty life and I certainly don''t hold any animosity for anyone. But I do concede to the fact that if I were to die the world would be happy about it so I was just waiting for the day my end would come and the joy it would bring the world.


    The voice was speechless, it couldn''t understand how the person in front of her who she had waited patiently to let grow up and mature enough for her to give him the thing she had developed just for him was so so positive about his own death without a single trace of fear when confronted by it.


    ???- I''m not here to kill you and more over the world might think bad of you now but you have an important role to play. That''s why I''ve done everything in my power to make sure you lived till now.


    Once again Ley was dumbstruck. He couldn''t understand why anyone would want to keep him alive. He was called the blightbringer by his parents on the day of his birth so why would anyone intentionally keep him alive unless.


    Ley- Hey this role you say I have you''re refering to the whole blightbringer thing my parents called me aren''t you?


    ???- Blightbringer!!!!!!!! Who the hell called you that!!!! I''ll rip them limb from limb!!! To call my chosen such a thing is unforgivable!!


    Ley was shocked by the voices sudden outburst of rage to the point he almost ran away but something was rooting him firmly in place so he asked the only thing that could come to mind.


    Ley- who, who are you?


    The voice suddenly caught herself and realized she lost her temper. After taking a moment to collect herself she answered him.


    ???- Well i can''t say much right now so lets just say I''m your benefactor and you are my charge. However you will meet me in person soon enough and when that happens I''ll explain everything in detail. But before that happens certain events must come to pass first. Anyway this initial first meeting was to give you a gift something you will need in the future so use all the time you can to learn how to use it. It come with some basic instructions built in but the more advanced stuff is up to how you use and develop it.


    At that moment the strange glowing symbol on the tree shot into the air and started to multiply into countless different runes and glyphs until they had entirely surrounded Ley on all sides then started flying into him one by one in an order that only the voice could understand.


    When The light from the symbols faded and Ley could see again he felt something, something he never felt before. Is was like he could feel the ground under his feet through his shoes and the water of the lake that was still half a mile away. In short it was sensory overload and he feel back on his butt with a thud.


    Ley- What''s going on I can''t focus my eyes and my head feels like it''s gonna pop?!?!


    ???- Keep calm it will subside in a few minutes, your body just needs to adapt to the new power inside it.


    Ley- New Power?? I don''t know if you knew this or not but i have little to no mana in my body and physically I''m even weaker so no matter what this gift is unless it can break the laws of nature it''s wasted on me.


    The voice let out a cute giggle that turned into outright laughter that would make you believe she was on the ground clutching her sides. She finally calmed down and explained.


    ???- This power doesn''t use mana nor does it require you to be physically strong. It''s a power that lets you feel and connect to the elements themselves and use them based on your will. Simply put you can connect to an element water for example and will it to do what you desire so long as you understand fully the process of what you''re willing it to do. There are limitations though like for instance you can''t will the earth to become water, you can draw water from within the earth but the earth itself cannot become water at best it can become soupy mud by being over saturated with water but that''s it. How you control and develop this power is up to you but I suggest you don''t waste time and learn how to use it effectively as soon as possible.


    Ley- Why do i need to learn so fast is something bad going to happen to the point that I''ll need this power to protect myself or others soon?


    Ley had a worried expression on his face and a feeling of fear in his heart and as if she sensed this the voice answered in a gentle way.


    ??? Unfortunately I can''t say if it will be soon or if it will be years from now but i can say that you need to be prepared for when it does happen not just for your sake but for for the sake of everyone.


    Ley felt the weight of those words with his whole being and took them too heart. He may of not known who this mysterious benefactor of his was but he felt for whatever reason he could trust her and vowed in his heart he would master this power that was given to him to the utmost no matter what it took. He would do it not for himself but for the people that lived their lives in peace and have done no wrong deserving of having that taken away. Even if they hated him he didn''t hate them in fact he envied their lives with friends and family the two thing he wanted more then anything else in the world. He would gain the strength to make sure they didn''t lose that greatest of things called loved ones.

    Hi there chaos here. Just wanted too say hi and explain a few thing about myself and this story.


    First is that i am by no means even a B grade author this is just something i wanted to do for fun and use my endless amount of free time. That being said if i get even 1 or 2 people who enjoy this story I fully intend to write until i finish the story to it''s end and not drop it for anything. I''m completely unsure of how long this story will be if i get those 1 or 2 ppl who will come back and read each release but i do know it won''t be short most definitely over 100 ch but past that i don''t know how long it will be before i hit the end game part of the story. I have so much planned for this story so please don''t leave me hanging i really want to do this. A few things i want to get out there is 1. Ley will 100% not be an mc that becomes so OP even the gods need to wear brown pants when thinking of him 2. he will not be an mc that gets a harem there will be a love interest down the line but no harems. Don''t get me wrong I enjoy harems in the fictions here on rrl but in my experience the harem factor has made a lot of people write themselves into a corner or there are so many girls you can''t keep track of who''s who and i don''t want that for my story. 3. This is my first fiction so constructive criticisms are welcome and even wanted but I do have problems with my confidence so plz plz don''t outright demolish my story with negative comments. If you don''t like my story then don''t read it and walk away destroying my ambition for this story might make me give up and quit and for the people who do like it they''d lose any future releases and i would would be heartbroken over causing that disappointment. And finally 4. This is something i do for fun in my free time and i have nothing but free time so expect regular releases multiple times a week or at least that''s gonna be my initial rate i might slow down later but not by much and of course i will give notice if I''m gonna take a break or have to hold back a chapter due to reasons unforeseen at this moment.  Update( Important)

    Hi chaos speaking I''m here to inform you that after taking in some helpful advice i decided to make chapters 1 and 2 into 1 chapter as well as give myself some more buffer time between releases. The next chapter will come in the next couple of days no worries there. For those of you who think my MC''s backstory and foundation are weak well all i can say is his life will be told in pieces during the early stages of the story and it will explain why he is the way he is.  Chapter 2: training Pt1

    Hi guys hope you''re excited about chapter 2 I know I am so let just get to this.

    ???- Well Ley it''s time for me to go now I''ve used all the time i had available to me for this meeting but don''t worry we''ll meet again soon. Remember work hard and master that new power of yours you''ll need it.


    In a bright flash of light the little rune that the voice came from was gone leaving behind a still half blind Ley.


    All was still in the forest at that moment with only the sound of birds breaking the silence. As Ley got up and brushed off his clothes he was left with many things too think about.


    Ley- Hmm so how am i gonna go about learning how to use this new power, she said there was some sort of instructions for the basics but how do i look at them.


    At that moment a book appeared and hovered in front of him Titled ( Elementor Basic Training Manual).


    Ley- Wow that was.......easy not used to thing being easy kinda feels hmm wrong maybe, well whatever lets take a look at this beauty.


    (elementor rites: one with the elemental essence)


    The very core aspect of being an elementor is the ability to feel, commune, and will elemental essence into tangible form. By doing so an elementor can create anything he so desires out of the elements themselves.


    Examples.


    1. Earth spike


    2. Fire whip


    3. Ice shield


    Now for every new elementor it is absolutely necessary to memorize and recognize the ten true elements by the color of their respective essence. This list will get you acquainted with the base colors of the ten true elemental essences but not that there are some substances that have more then one kind of elemental essence in it such as lava which will have both fire and earth essence. As you develop you gain the ability to not only feel but see essence which is why you need this list.


    Fire - Red Essence


    Water - Dark Blue


    Earth - Brown


    Wind - Light Green


    Lightning - Purple


    Ice - Light Blue


    Nature - Dark Green


    Metal - Sliver


    Light - Yellow


    Shadow - Black


    Step One: Find a comfortable place, sit, and relax. Release all tension from the body and take in all that''s around you with all but you eyes. Feel it with you body, hear it with your ears, inhale all the scents of the world around you with you nose, taste the air as you exhale through your mouth. Repeat this process with a rhythm you set for your own body. After several minutes of this rhythm you should start to feel the living pulse of the world.


    Step Two: At the point you feel the worlds pulse with your mind reach for it but don''t try to take it from it''s place instead make a link with it (this may take several tries depending on your luck). This link will be an eternal link to the life of the world.


    Step Three: The newly made link will immediately start infusing you with raw essence which has no elemental affinity. After the infusion is finished you will fall asleep as your body assimilates the raw essence.


    When you wake up you will have gone through three changes. Firstly you will be able to see the essence around you, second your mind can reach out a control this essence, third your physical body will be 5x stronger.


    Step Four: This the final step in basic training. Now that you have raw essence coursing through your body you must infuse it with the elemental essence around you to gain a better control of each individual element. Do this by reaching out with what control you currently have and will the essence around you inside your body. This is the purest and most fundamental way for an elementor to become stronger as the more essence you absorb of any given element your connection, understanding, and power over said element will be.

    From this point forward how you use essence and what you make it do whether for combat or daily life is entirely up to you so for you sake you better have a broad imagination.

    Ley- Wow this is some pretty amazing stuff. Well I better get started if I''m gonna make any progress.


    As Ley sat down he did just what the book had told him to. He relaxed completely (which wasn''t hard for Ley since he was laid back and relaxed as his normal state of mind) and started to breath in a rhythm, inhaling through his nose and exhaling through his mouth while taking in all that was around him with all his senses but his eyes. It wasn''t long before Ley started to feel a pull at his mind and in but a moment he wasn''t in the forest anymore. That is to say his spirit wasn''t in the forest anymore no where he was now was like no place he had even heard about in his books. In front of Ley was a giant flowing river that gave off a a small but strong pulse every few seconds.


    Ley- Wow so this must be the worlds pulse, It''s beautiful so much so that i don''t anything can ever compare. But I can appreciate it''s beauty some other time I''m here to make my like to the world.


    Ley walked as close to the worlds pulse as he could get then started doing what the manual said to do and reached out with his mind. At first there was nothing happening then like a flash of lightning the glowing river reached out of it''s own accord and grabbed onto Ley and suddenly a voice that sounded both young and ancient at the same time rang out.


    ???- What do we have here? Oh my your....your a chosen from the middle plane!! Oh how long have I waited for someone who had the gaia''s gift to appear again. Joyous of days tell me young one what is your name?


    Ley- My name is Ley ma''am, um may I ask who you are?


    ???- Hmm Ley yes a fine name Oh and my name as you might have guessed from how i reacted is gaia I''m what you might call the consciousness of the planet.


    Ley- Huh I knew the planet was alive but i didn''t realize it had a consciousness that''s quite interesting. But I don''t really have the time to sit here and talk to you all day miss gaia the one who gave me the gift as you called it said i needed to master it as best i can as fast i can but didn''t say way but I have the feeling i should listen to her.


    Gaia- Hmm is that so well if that''s the case i won''t keep you tied up any longer and make the link but promise one thing before you go.


    Ley- What''s that?


    Gaia- When you get a chance to take a break from mastering your gift come back and chat with me a bit I don''t get many visitors and it would be nice to have company once in awhile.


    Ley- Sure no problem I''d love to come back to talk with you when i get the chance to take a break.


    As soon as Ley had made his promise he felt a surge of energy flow into his body and was sent back to the outside world and almost immediately he fell over backwards unconscious. As his body lay on the ground crunching and tearing noises could be heard as Ley''s body was rebuilding itself stronger and tougher.

    Well here it is the second chapter and more will be coming soon and if the chapters are to short tell me but please be nice about it I would rather not be attacked by hate again. Also I''m open to suggestions on the different techniques Ley will develop during his training.

 Chapter 3: Training Pt 2-infusion and augmentation

    Well it that time again....... time for a new chapter (cackles menacingly). *cough* sorry my inner demons got out for a second I''m not really evil well not entirely but come who is. Anyway let''s start this  walk down the ever twisting and warping path of chaos.

    In the light of the full moon Ley was sprawled out under a tree just now starting to rouse from his long sleep brought on by his metamorphosis. His body was no longer that lanky near emaciated figure it was only hours before. He was still slim but he was filled out and his muscles were slightly toned and his skin had a healthy glow instead of the near death''s door pale it was before.


    Ley slowly started turning over mumbling in his sleep and a cold night breeze blew past making him shiver nonstop and waking him.


    Ley- *Yawn* mmm well that was by far the best I''ve slept in years. Hmm!?!? What''s with my body how did it get so so healthy or at least i guess this is what it means to be healthy but I wouldn''t really know. This feels amazing I feel like i could run from here to town a not have dropped a bead of sweat. Oh I remember now this was supposed to happen because of linking with gaia but the book said i should be 5x stronger physically when i woke up however I know my body and the strength it had before and this is easily 30x stronger. What i don''t understand most of all is how is it with this strength how is my body still this slim if my mind is still right then I should look like a giant clump of muscle. I''m gonna have to ask Gaia about this.


    As Ley was admiring his new body and questioning some of the changes that seemed to be greater than predicted the world around him started to become lively and not with people but the forest itself. It was like the forest was a toddler that was so excited she couldn''t sit still. Ley took notice of this and looked up from his own thoughts and saw something that nearly put him on his butt again.


    Ley- Holy frak that is a lot of color!!!!!!! Okay okay right this was supposed to happen too. All that is is the elemental essence and i have nothing to fear from it in fact i should welcome it happily since it''s what i rely on for my powers as an elementor. Alright enough wasting time gotta start building my connections to the elements.


    Ley sat down cross-legged and closed his eyes. He reached out with his mind and beckoned the essence of all elements to come to him and enter his body. As he did so the essence was more than willing to oblige and started flowing into him like a torrential maelstrom with him at the center. It didn''t take long before Ley could absorb no more essence and the maelstrom subsided and all became calm again. At this Ley let out a breath releasing all the worries he had about messing up.


    Ley- Well that went better than expected and again it felt like it was way too easy and easy just feels wrong. I don''t know why it feels wrong for things to be easy it just does. I''ve heard people are supposed to like it when things are easy and get frustrated when thing are hard. But something without challenge has no fun in finishing it. I guess the people in town either don''t understand the joy of winning out over difficulties or they''re just lazy. Well either way I don''t like easy and I need to get back to training this elementor stuff. And what in the nine Hells is this itch in the back of my head it''s tickin me off!!! Hmm hrm arg ham wait what there''s another manual in my mind that wasn''t there before just more to ask Gaia about later i suppose but first let''s take a look.


    (Elementor Combat Artes: elemental augmentation)


    The way of the elementor is not all about willing essence to take form and attack from a distance there is in fact close combat aspects to being an elementor. These aspects are elemental augmentation and just as there is ten true elements there are ten augmentations that grow in ability as your strength and control over their respective element grows. The augments are as follows.


    Fire- Strength


    Water- flexibility


    Wind- Speed


    Earth - Balance

    Augmentation is both simple to learn but difficult to master. To use augmentation one must simply infuse their body with the essence matching the element they wish gain the augmentation of but instead of absorbing it meld with it. Learning the precise amount of essence required for the level of augmentation you wish to use too much and you will have more than what''s needed for the situation too little and you will be unable to handle the situation.

    Ley- Wow okay this is more like it easy to learn but difficult to master sounds like my kinda thing. One thing I noticed though is that every element has an opposing one but opposing elements give complimenting augmentations. Fire and water for instance are natural opposing forces but fire gives strength and water gives flexibility both of which are pointless without the other. Without flexibility strength can''t be used to it''s utmost and without strength flexibility can''t be put to use for anything but sideshows and possibly getting through difficult obstacles. Hmm that''s interesting the world really is full of contradictions I guess.


    Ley- Well let''s start this augment training with one element first just to get the hang of the amount of essence it takes for what amount of boost and i think i''ll start with wind some speed is always a good thing.


    For the next few hours the sounds of rushing wind accompanied by loud shouts of "yahoo" could be heard all through the forest. Before Ley had even realized it it was morning so he stopped and looked to the sky with the biggest smile he had ever had filled with the purest joy he had ever felt.


    Ley- that was the most fun I''ve ever had and I don''t feel tired at all but damn it really is difficult getting the hang of controlling the level of augmentation..... just as I like it. Something can''t really be worth much if you don''t have to work for it. Well let''s get back at it I don''t want to stop till I drop.


    For the next week strange sound could be heard coming from the forest ranging from large booms to the noise caused by trees that have lived for hundreds of years falling over and crashing to the ground and the occasional strange yell of what sounded like gibberish. These noises weren''t ignored however the port city of Darlung had taken notice or more to the point the garrison commander had taken notice and had immediately started to put together a company of his best soldiers to go with his to investigate what was happening and assess if it was any threat to the city he was in charge of protecting.


    Meanwhile completely oblivious of the panic his training had caused in Darlung Ley had finally stopped do to sheer fatigue from training his augmentation control for a week straight and was blissfully napping next to his favorite lake in the shade of an old willow.


    From a place that no one could see or even perceive there was a lone figure watching Ley sleep with an ecstatic look on her face a look of sheer pride that would put a dragon to shame.


    ???- Oh my dear little Ley I knew I had made the right choice by making you my chosen. Oh when my brothers and sisters find out my chosen is such a fast learner in the gift i gave him that they said would be unable to be used by any mortal being their jaws will hit the floor and they''ll have to give into my demands since they''ve lost the bet but i do wonder..... how did he get hold of the augmentation manual he was supposed to be able sense it till he had got a least some mastery over essence manipulation? Hm I think i need to pay a visit to Gaia she probably has something to do with this.


    When the figure had stopped talking to herself she took one last look at Ley and smiled then turned away and walked away while leaving one last sentance.


    ???- Better wake up soon Ley you gonna have company from town and they''re not happy but with what I''ve seen you''ll be fine.


    And with that she was gone like she was never there to begin with and leaving Ley none the wiser that he had had a visitor.

    Alright got a couple of things to talk about so hear me out here. First and foremost you might have noticed that my count of elements was off and i have that fixed in this chapter and have already gone back and made the edit to chap 2 so it''s in. The the element is nature with its essence color being dark green and wind''s essence color has been changed from green to light green much the same as ice is light blue and water is dark blue. Second if you''re confused about why nature''s augment is magical resistance is because all forms of magic in this world are link to the natural world in some way or another even thing like death and healing magic. And finally I want to say that Ley won''t be diving into his elemental control powers just yet I want my poll to finish and get the feedback on what you guys want to see him kicking a** with first even though eventually he will master and use all elements equally. The elements on the poll in the last chapter are simply the ones i can have the most fun with as an early story starter element. Well Until I get the next chapter out most likely later today since i''m in the grove stay chaotic.

 Chapter 4: Meeting my mentor and first friend

    As Promised second chapter today. Let my reign of chaos lead us towards the progress of Ley''s future.

    It was early in the morning as the sound of clanking armor and spells being prepared for quick use resounded through the forest. This was the group put together by Darlung''s garrison Commander and they were swiftly closing in on Ley''s location since that''s where one of the mages with the group had sensed a huge disturbance in the aetheric flow which all mages use to cast their magic.


    Commander- How much further till we reach the disturbance Luther?


    The mage named Luther didn''t answer immediately mainly due to him needed to reconfirm the location but also because he was slightly afraid of the man. The Commander had never concealed the fact he has little to no love for mages for reasons he won''t talk about and was strong enough to mold his grip into solid iron being from the grey wolf beastman tribe. His stare alone was enough to make most of his new recruits piss themselves upon first meeting him but the truth was unless something dangerous was happening like right now he was more like a puppy than a wolf. But Luther still had that slight tinge of fear left over from the time he saw the Commander become enraged by a couple of guys that came from his tribe and started making pokes at his life let just say those two didn''t stay around for very long after the Commander flipped his lid.


    Luther- It''s not far now a little more than half a mile and we''ll be there.


    Commander- Good I don''t like it when there''s possible danger to Darlung right on our doorstep.


    As the group of combat ready soldiers were on the move Ley had long since woke up and had started infusing essence again. He had found out after his first time that just having the essence enter his body wasn''t the whole process he also needed to absorb it as part of his body, mind, and soul or else it would just be stored inside his body and sit there. It took him two days to get the absorption rate balanced with his intake of essence but now it''s a steady ceaseless incoming flow of essence with an absorption rate to match it perfectly.


    Just as Ley was entering his third hour of essence melding as he named it he heard sound that don''t belong to the forest that he knew like it was it his own body. These sound made feel uneasy. These were the sounds of warriors preparing for battle and mages getting ready for spell slinging.


    Ley- Why are there combat ready people out here in this part of the forest? Wait are they here for me?!?! What did I do to piss off the people of Darlung so bad they''d send a full combat force after me?!?! Think think was it because I had picked up those coppers and whoever dropped them was a noble and wants them back? Was it because I had accepted that half eaten fish pie from the little girl at the fishmongers? Was it because.......


    As Ley was continuously questioning what he had done the group had entered the clearing with the lake and saw Ley standing there mumbling wildly to himself about nonsensical things that no one would be angry about in the slightest. After a while of listening to this the Commander looked around and then Looked to luther.


    Commander- Luther this is the place right cause all I see is a blithering idiot talking to himself.


    Luther- Yes sir this the place and even though I don''t understand why or how the aetheric disturbance is gone almost like it was never here. There''s no trace of it anywhere which in of itself should be impossible. To have made such a large disturbance in the aetheric flow but leave no trace like this it well it just can''t happen.


    Commander- Well apparently it did happen and the only witness we have is that guy and I for one am going to.............. What is that sitting on the ground next to him!!!!!!!!!!!!


    The Commander let out a huge howl when he saw the rather large object on the ground next to Ley and rushed over to confirm what he thought he saw was real.


    Commander- By the gods it is it really is!!! Kid do you know what you have here this is aetheric mithril one of the rarest and most precious high quality metals in all of Vestra!!!!!


    The commander was practically drooling over the large man-sized chunk of metal ore and Ley was completely confused over the man''s behavior. One has to understand that aetheric mithril is a material that is formed when an already somewhat rare metal called mithril is bathed in a aether vein for thousands of years and absorbs aethers ability to influence the elements and can be use as a magic conduit. Aetheric mithril is so rare and expensive that anyone who has a weapon or armor made with only has a thin layer over the surface of another metal but the strength of it so great that even that makes the weapon nearly unbreakable and the armor nearly impenetrable. Mages can also benefit from aetheric mithril by having a magic focus mage and mounted on a staff to use as a conduit for their spells.


    Ley- Um sir if you like this thing so much please take it as my apology for whatever it was that i did.


    The Commander froze at those words and his heart was a whirlwind of emotions but it lasted but a moment as the Commanders character and integrity won out instantly and he stood up and looked at Ley with a serious look then spoke.


    Commander- Boy I don''t know why you think you''ve done something that requires you to pay for it by giving away this priceless treasure. A chunk of Aetheric mithril this size is unheard of the amount of money you could get even after having a weapon and armor forged from this is still a small mountain of gold.


    Ley was dumbstruck he had found this chunk of metal randomly when he had punched the cliff face next to the waterfall on the other side of the forest but it was worth so much that Ley felt a bit ill from what he just heard.


    Ley- Sir please explain something to me just what is aetheric mithril? Why is it worth so much?


    Now it was the Commanders turn to be dumbstruck. Who hadn''t at least heard of aetheric mithril it was a legendary metal.


    Commander- Okay kid tell me the truth how do you not know what is sitting at your feet is?


    Ley- Well sir I''ve lived my entire life in this forest and I''m completely unwelcome in Darlung due to me being thrown out by my own race so I don''t really have much in the way of worldly knowledge.


    Commander- Well that explains it all right but um just what race are you from? I don''t think I''ve ever heard of anyone like you before.


    Ley- I''m a Celestial sir but i was born a bad omen for my people many wanted me dead on the spot including the doctor that delivered me but my father the king instead decided that i''d just be thrown into a random place and leave it to the gods if i survived or not but I was to never be allowed into the Citadel ever again.


    Commander- Did you just say you''re the son of the king of the Celestials as in you''re a prince!?!? But you were thrown away and banished at birth for looking like this?


    The Commander was furious after hearing this he was a man with strong family values and the thought of throwing away a newborn just because he looked a bit different was unforgivable to him. He didn''t even need to think about what to do next there was no path but this in his mind and it was one he was happy to take. At the same time Ley could see the seething fury on the big wolfman''s face and started to get worried and was preparing to augment for speed to run far far away when suddenly a voice chimed in.

    Luther- Sir! The disturbance is back and it''s coming from him I don''t know what he was doing but I certain he was going to attack you!!!


    Ley was dumbfounded that the mage picked up on he was preparing himself but even more so for what he just accused him of.


    Ley- I wasn''t going to attack I swear!!!! The wolfman here is looking really angry for some reason and it scared me so I was preparing to run as far away as I could as fast I could! I swear on my already worthless life that I wasn''t going to attack.


    While Ley was panicking the Commander calmed down and spoke up.


    Commander- Kid can I ask if you were the one that caused all the ruckus in the forest over the past week?


    Ley- Huh? Oh you mean my training was it really making enough noise to reach Darlung?


    Commander- Training huh? Haa haa haa if that was you training i think it''s a good thing you weren''t going to attack me and run instead because from what i saw on our way here you could break all the bones in my body with one punch armor or no. Alright kid what''s your name?


    Ley- Um it''s Ley sir but i was kinda the one that gave the name to myself since my parents didn''t give me one.


    A hint of anger flash on the Commander''s face again but only for a moment.


    Commander- Okay then Ley I have an offer I''d like to make you. How would you like to come live at the garrison with me and my men? We can give you proper training in how to use that strength of yours and Luther there can get to learn about and understand that disturbance you cause when you''re about to do whatever it that you are doing that causes it. Actually I''m kinda curious myself about it.


    Ley- Um if I accept I''m gonna be nothing more than the clean up boy right so why train me? I mean the offer is still severely tempting even with just being a clean up boy but I fail to see the logic in training the person you keep around just for cleaning up.


    Then Commander was filled with pity for this poor boy thrown out and banished as a newborn, hated and shunned by everyone because of something no right minded parent would ever even consider, and to top it all off completely void of a sense of self worth it was to sad.


    Commander- Ley I''m asking you to come to be our clean up boy I''m asking if you''ll come and let me take you as my son and student. Also start taking some value in your life it''s what gives you a reason to live. Now Luther come over here and say hello to Ley.


    The young mage made his way over quickly because if the Commander saw this guy as worth taking as his son then there is no doubt this guy in good hearted.


    Luther- Hi my name is Luther nice to meet you Ley. You have to tell me how you''re influencing the aetheric flow so powerfully but leaving no traces behind when you stop!!


    Ley- Mmm it''s hard to explain the only real things i can put into words are that my power is called the gift of Gaia and I''m what''s called an elementor.


    When the Commander heard the words gift of Gaia followed by elementor he turned pale and looked at Ley with an expression of disbelief and had to know for sure.


    Commander- Ley this elementor thing you just mentioned what is it?


    He wasn''t sure if Ley had just heard or read the name of those once great and powerful nigh undefeatable beings and was just calling himself one or if he was speaking the truth but he needed to know.


    Ley- Well basically being an elementor means first making a spiritual connection to Gaia then using the raw essence infused into you through the link to then absorb the elemental essence from the world around you to gain understanding and mastery over them. The process of absorption can be stopped at the point before the elemental essence is infused into your mind and soul and instead be melded with the body to augment it in various ways depending on which element or elements you meld with. All the broken places in the forest were caused by me training my control over augmentation.


    The Commander was speechless and ten shades paler than before. What he had heard was a perfect description and summary of what was detailed in his tribe''s ancient scrolls. His tribe were the loremasters and keepers of history for the whole beastman race and only now did he start to remember a very important detail about elementors and that was they appeared in only one race, a long since extinct race called the Nightwings.


    They were cousins to the Celestials and in ages long past they were also one of the high races and their appearance was that of a slimmer Celestial with a single black wing. They were wiped out in a complete genocide committed by the Celestials who had proclaimed them as a foul vile existence that taints the pure noble image of the Celestials. But the real reason for the genocide was that the king of that time''s daughter had fallen in love with a nightwing and attempted to run away with him but was caught in the act and the young nightwing was charged and executed for attempting to kidnap the princess Even after the princess had told her father the king she was the one who had pushed to run away and the young nightwing was trying to talk her out of it. After his death by her father hand the princess ended her own life to follow her love to a place they could be happy together. When her body was discovered the next day the kings already bigoted views flew off the handle and he order the whole Celestial army to kill each and every nightwing for assassinating his daughter. It wasn''t until after the deed had be done a finished that a servant appeared before the council of elders and presented the princesses suicide letter which resulted in the king being dethroned and put to death by way iron maiden for his act fitting only for demons.


    Commander- Ley from this point forward don''t tell anyone what you just told me when we return to the garrison there are many things we need to talk about but for now let get whatever personal belonging you have including the aetheric mithril there and head back to show you your new home and the people who will be your new friend and family.


    Ley couldn''t believe what he was hearing friends, family, a home, and on top of all that just like that someone actually wanted to be his father it was to much to be hit with at once and all the pain,sorrow, and loneliness he had suffered finally sunk in and for the first time in his life Ley understood what it meant to be happy. It was then tears started to flow from Ley eyes and wouldn''t stop as if they a river that been held back by a dam and that dam had just fallen apart. By the time Ley finally stop crying he was asleep behind his new father on the back of a horse on the way back to Darlung where his new home waited for him and his new life.

 small notice of various things

    Hi Chaos here just checking to say that I''m sorry for not putting out a chapter for a few days. The reason for that is because after writing 3 chapters in less than 24 hours I kinda screwed up my hands but they''re all good now. As for the next chapter that will be coming on monday with that start of my new release schedule which is gonna be a chapter every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. As for what I have planned this weekend, I''m gonna be Planning out some plotline, character designs, monster concepts, ranking systems for warriors, mages, monsters, items, and ley''s powers then there''s also currency and design concepts for ley''s future gear that I will not give spoilers for........ well okay just the fact he''ll have a badass sword but nothing more than that.

 Chapter 5: The Fear of Anger

    Hi peoples Chaos is back and here to say let''s get chaotic with more Fate''s Assassin.

    By the time the group had made it halfway back to Darlung night had fallen which was the most dangerous time in the forest so they decided to make camp and head back in the morning. Ley had woke up a few hours ago after sleeping for most of the trip due to his fatigue from his mental breakdown earlier in the day. He had mostly recovered by now and was once again his usual happy-go-lucky self but this time it was different this time his happiness was genuine and not just a mask.


    Since he had woke up had had done three things the first was obviously get something to eat. What surprised the whole group was that he didn''t make his way towards the center of camp where hot stew was waiting but instead went into the forest. A few of them were worried including the Commander and Luther who had both taken a great liking to Ley. But all worry was for not as only ten minutes later Ley emerged from the treeline but what really threw everyone off was that he had a full grown buck on his shoulder that''s only discernible injury was that it''s neck had been cleanly broken resulting in instant death for the buck.


    Ley- Who wants steak?


    As Ley asked this everyone''s mouths started to water uncontrollably. It has to be understood that due to the dangers in the forest hunting in a very perilous venture that will both threaten your life at every turn and make you quite a lot of money if you successful even once. The price of top quality meat like this buck was so outrageously high that only the fat nobles with money coming out the wazoo could get to eat it. Most people had to settle on fish and vegetables since these are readily available at all times.


    It wasn''t long before the buck had been cleaned, portioned, cooked, and the meat feast began. It was while everyone was eating with the ferocity of a starving tiger that Ley had done the second thing in the list of must do''s.


    Ley- Um excuse me Commander since I''m going to be living in the garrison from now on I think I need to know the name of my superior so can I ask your name.


    The Commander had jumped at this sudden question but not because he was afraid to answer Ley or that Ley was asking anything that would be offensive but because in his mind at this very second he was beating himself senseless for forgetting something so important as telling his newly adopted son his own name which Ley will be receiving once the official paperwork is done.


    Ley had noticed the scowl on the Commander''s face and started to back away thinking he had royally screwed up.


    Ley- Oh know what did I do!??! Was I not supposed to ask that? Is it taboo to ask him his name? Is he going to take back his offer and just take my head back without a body with it as a trophy for offending him?


    Ley was thoroughly panicking now and everyone but the Commander who was still beating himself up in his head could see it. Luther was the most agitated by the Commander not noticing Ley''s frantic state and immediately started to chant.


    Luther- Aqueous Telgba Dorban-Water ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


    Luther had launched a high speed water projectile at the commander''s face and with a loud splash followed by an equally loud thud the Commander had been put on his back sopping wet in what was now a very large pool of mud. This had snapped the Commander back to reality and he looked up at Luther and was about to yell with a fury that could send and army running with a trail of yellow behind them but stopped when he saw the unbridled anger in Luther''s eyes and moved his line of sight to where he was pointing. What he saw put a curtain of cold sweat down his back. It was Ley and he was an absolute mess teeth chattering, bugged out eyes, and mumbling all sorts of cruelties befalling him. The commander''s stomach lurched at what he had caused by not answering and hurried to Ley''s side to fix this disastrous mistake of his.


    Commander- Ley!!! Calm down please I''m sorry for not answering right away you did nothing wrong. I didn''t answer because I was angry at myself for forgetting something so important as this I"m entirely at fault here not you okay.


    Ley- Then you''re really not gonna take my head off and mount it above your fireplace?


    If one could look into Ley''s eyes at this moment it would be all too obvious he was asking this seriously.When the Commander saw how serious Ley was when asking this he made an oath to himself that he would never hesitate with Ley again.


    Commander- No I will do no such thing and as for your question my name is Garth, Garth Silverfang. Also I''m not your superior I''m your father or at least I will be once we get back to Darlung and fill out all the legal paperwork to make it official.


    As Ley heard these word that filled his heart with a warmth that he has only felt once before earlier that day he heard something else something that sent shivers down his spine and right into his soul. It was the unsheathing of blades and readying of bows and spells. Garth picked up on it as well but not to the degree Ley did Garth felt the danger on a more instinctual level that came from his years of combat experience. Just then a voice rang out like poison in the air.


    ???- Garth it looks like you made the biggest error of your life tonight by not continuing on back to Darlung!!! HAHAHAHAHA to think I get the pleasure of killing you tonight and on top of that I''m going to walk away with a priceless treasure that will make me the richest man on the continent.


    Garth knew who this voice belonged to immediately and scowled in true fury as killing intent so powerful raised from inside of him that is was visible in the air as a red misty aura. He howled back at this voice.


    Garth- Brak you dirty son of a squag I warned you that night you killed my beloved wife that if I ever saw you again I wouldn''t even leave enough of you for the crows to get a nibble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you want to try and kill me the only reason my wife didn''t take your head was because she was with child!!!!!! Did her death at your hand swell your head I can kill you ten times over before you can even try to attack me!!!!!


    By this time Garth''s face was covered in not only pure desire to kill but also tears of blood from being forced to remember the horrid image of his mutilated wife and his unborn child that had been cut out of her and beheaded. It was just as he was about to charge the man standing at the other end of the camp smiling in a way even the devil would feel chills that Garth felt something was very wrong. Brak never worked alone he had entire crew that followed and obeyed him so why is he alone? More importantly why are his men just standing around as if nothing was going on? Suddenly something dawned on him and his eyes widened with fear.


    Brak- Looks like you finally figured it out. Yes that right my men have been around you this whole time. Did you really think twenty highly trained warriors and mages would just appear out of nowhere. You Garth are nothing more than a fool of a beast. I''m quite sure the actual wolves would be smarter than you HAHAHAHHAHAHA. I''m also quite sure that the reason you don''t live with your tribe Is due to them kicking you out for being an idiot of epic proportions HAHAHHAHAHA. As for this mage of your''s he''ll fetch a good price at the slave auctions.

    Brak- Hm? Ley? Who is that I wonder? Is he someone of great importance? An envoy perhaps? Okay boys listen up kill Garth and bring me that Ley person for questioning !!!


    As Brak gave out his orders both Garth and Luther wanted to curse the heavens for this night that would be their end but Ley felt something different something foreign to him it was like fire inside his head and lightning in his heart. It was anger. For the first time in his life Ley was angry but this wasn''t simple anger this was rage, fury, this was wrath. Someone had just given the order to kill the man that gave him real happiness and was going to sell his first actually friend as a slave. It was in this moment that something inside Ley snapped as if the shackles holding down a truly powerful monster had been broken.


    The sky over the clearing grew darker than even the night, the wind became absolutely still, the air became cold, no sound could be heard other than the ragged breathing of several people that couldn''t make sense of what was happening. Garth however did know what was happening he had read every history record his clan had and such occurrences had happened before but not for centuries. This was the sign of the true awakening of an elementor that was brought on by a surge of powerful emotion whether it has anger, fear, joy, or any other emotion a nightwing would never become a true elementor unless they went through this change this awakening that threw the shackles of reality off. From what''s known this awakening was rare even when the elementors were in their prime but not unheard of. And here he was bearing witness to the birth of the first true elementor in nearly a millennium and it was his adopted son.


    The moment of the apex was when the elements all converged on and around Ley. It was but a moment''s time but what happened after was the true shock the boy in the center of the elemental maelstrom was gone. Then a scream was heard then another and another and in the span of only seconds three of the bandits were dead two had holes blown through their chests and the third had been cut in half at the waist in a not so clean way.


    The bandits were in an utter panic. They could make heads or tails of what had happened but just they started to try and think two more screams sounded out and the bandits looked and saw the two that were holding Luther down were now both headless and the mage was gone. They say the fear of the unknown is the most crippling fear there is but this fear the bandits were feeling in this moment transcended that this was a fear of something that defied their concept of reality. After only a few more moments all of the bandits other than Brak were dead.


    Brak- What in the nine hells is happening this doesn''t make sense this isn''t possible!!!!!!!


    Just as Brak was ranting Ley appeared in front of him as if out of thin air but the truth was that just as the apex of his awakening finished he had augmented himself to the maximum of his ability with all ten elements and had been moving faster than the human eye can perceive and had only just now stopped.


    Ley- You ordered my father killed and made it known that you were to sell my only friend into slavery. I am unfamiliar with the emotion I''m feeling right now as i''ve never had much contact with people or the chance to feel the whole spectrum of emotions but whatever emotion it is it''s telling me right now that I can''t feel happy again until you die so that is what you will do.


    As Ley said these word Brak''s face dropped a shade and when paler with each word until he was the color of a piece of paper. Ley then arced his arm back and put all his strength into this one punch. What occurred when Ley''s fist made contact with Brak''s torso was nothing less than shockingly frightful. In an instant the entire top half of Brak was gone leaving nothing but a slight red mist trailing out behind where what was left Brak stood.


    It was with this that Ley''s anger was gone in an instant like it had never appeared. As Ley looked around him and saw the carnage he had wrought he felt sick and the contents of his stomach vacated his body.


    It was at this time that Garth appeared by Ley''s side and had look of pride, wonderment, gratefulness, and worry.


    Garth- Ley listen to me these men were all murders, thieves, and rapists, they''ve been on the kill on sight list for years what you did here tonight was bringing justice to a lot of people and ridding the world of some of the most vile scum on the continent. I heard you say you didn''t know what the emotion you were feeling at that moment was well it was anger, anger at having your family threatened and it is a completely normal reaction. However you need to learn when you can and can''t strike out at those that make you angry these guys deserved to die a worms death but most people will poke at you just because it how the world is and shouldn''t be attacked. I have these very issues so I''ll teach you some helpful methods to vent your anger when you need to.


    Ley- Thank you father. This emotion this anger I...... I don''t like it it scares me. Please when we get to Darlung the first thing you teach me has to be how to control this anger thing.


    Tears started flowing from Garth''s eyes once again but this time they were from joy. For the first time in his life he had been called father something he had given up on ever being called and he lightly pulled his new son into his arms to help calm him down. From a few feet away Luther saw this scene and made a small sniffle of his own. After about ten minutes they paid no more time on standing around they collected the proof of the bandits demise and headed towards Darlung at full speed with Ley once again passing out do to fatigue while riding with Garth but this time he was in front Garth on the horse with his new father guarding him like a fortress.

    Well guys here''s today chapter Wednesday we get meet a people of the garrison and maybe ley starts his training his martial combat with Garth. Also If you missed it which would be hard to do I finally have cover art and even if it isn''t the prettiest thing ever i can proudly say i made it myself and didn''t outsource it like most others do Yay me. Well I hope you have as much fun reading this chapter as I had writing it. Oh and for those of you who think Ley''s getting too strong too fast that surge he put on today is not permanent it''s kinda like how during super extreme situations and copious amounts of adrenaline is pumping through your body you can do things like lift a car when normally you can barely lift 100 pounds.

    Sorry guys but I''m not gonna be able to put my heart into writing for awhile due to emotional destruction. I won''t beat around the bush I did something so stupid so moronic that I''m just so ashamed that all i see is black void. If you want to know what I did well I''ll tell you And I don''t really care if you mock or laugh at me cause this time i deserve it. I just so happened to step on my brand new $500 laptop and broke the inner filament in the screen so now the screen is cadavarific aka dead. The really stupid thing is I knew exactly where it was and had lots of other places to put my foot down but nope it went down on my laptop. So I''m sorry but I won''t have the heart to write for I don''t know how long maybe a few days maybe a few weeks I can''t tell. I don''t even feel chaos in my heart right now only the feeling of pure stupidity and shame.

 Chapter 6: Finally home with family issues on the side

    Hey guys Chaos is back and as an apology for being such a flake as of late I''m doing a double release today and for the next three release days so next week you get 6 chapters. All I can say guys is I''m sorry and I will get it together and really work hard to not p*** out again. Well on to the story today will be a treat or at least i think it will.

    After riding at a full gallop for five hours Garth finally had Darlung within view but he was far from relieved. Ley had yet to wake up and Garth was worried. Riding just behind Garth was Luther who looked even more worried then Garth about Ley''s condition. He had gone over Ley personally and could find only that he was over fatigued and passed out but he should have at least shown signs of recovery by now it was almost like Ley was in a magic induced coma.


    Luther- Commander when we get to the garrison I think we should call the doctor right away I don''t like Ley''s condition!!!!!


    Garth- I agree there must be something wrong or else he would have at least improved by now but there''s no change in him and that has me scared!!!


    When Garth had said he was scared Luther almost fell of his horse. In all his time at the garrison working under Garth never once had fear appeared in the man but today what Garth was feeling could easally be seen on his face and the word fear couldn''t begin to describe it.


    After another hour they had finally made it to the garrison at the outer area of Darlung. Immediately after arriving Garth issued the order to some trainees to go get the town''s doctor Then rush inside with Ley in his arms. This action had caught the trainees off guard and didn''t move until they felt an ominous chill behind them. The trainees turned around and saw Luther standing there with a smile on his face but this was a smile that foretold death.


    Luther- So what are you just standing there for? I do believe the commander gave you an order and even though he pretty lenient most of the time I''m not. If you don''t get moving by the time I count to three I''ll turn you both into ice statues and then shatter you into dust. 1.....................2..................


    From the look on Luther''s face these trainees knew he meant every word of what he just said ad by the time he had reached two both of them were scrambling down the street at top speed. Everyone in the garrison knew Luther to almost never get emotional let alone angry enough to give off killing intent that could choke a tiger into submission. This was the reason the trainees were scared to the point of almost messing their pants since everyone knew that if Luther was to have the mind to he could challenge Garth and win.


    It was not but moments after the trainees had left that a young man ran over to the seen and as Luther saw this man his face twisted into a scowl that left no traces on friendliness on Luther''s face. The man had a medium build With tone muscles clearly visible under his shirt he was about the same height as Luther but his most notable features were his red hair that had streaks of golden blond in them, his two crystal clear sky blue eyes that contrasted with his hair, and probably the most noticeable of all was his aura that he always had molded into the shape of wings on his back.


    Luther- What do you want Aereth??? If it isn''t important then go dunk your head in the horse trough I''m busy!!


    Aereth- What gives you the right to talk to me like that you lowly human welp I should just smack you with my sword and end you so the big dog has one less problem. And what was that killing intent I felt I thought a battle was going to happen and wanted to let the masses see my glory.


    Luther- Okay one get off your f****** high horse you twerp you''re half human so your dirty blooded in the eyes of the other half''s race, two don''t ever insult the commander in front of me again or the next time I will personally end you, three the killing intent was me being angry at some trainees who were not following orders , and four those fake wings look stupid and make you look like a forgotten son trying to earn approval from his drunken abusive father because of insecurity.


    Aereth- Luther if you know what''s good for you you''ll bow on the ground and beg for forgiveness right now or I''ll cut you down right now for insulting me like this!!!!!!!


    Right at the moment Aereth was about to unsheathe his sword five arrows flew with lightning speed and with surgical precision pinned Aereth to the wall next to him. The next moment two identical elven girls walked out from behind the trees in the courtyard. Upon seeing these two Luther calmed down quickly.


    Luther- Ah hello Eve hello Meia. Thank you for shutting up this arrogant fool he really was about to push me to far and you have both seen what that''s like.

    Both girls shivered unconsciously at the mention of Luther losing control. Indeed they had witnessed the last time it had happened and what they saw left a deep mark in their minds. The thought of half the city in flames and the other half frozen in ice that won''t melt for a hundred years would scare anyone.


    Eve- So Luther tell us what''s going on? We saw the commander a minute ago and he looked panicked and that just doesn''t happen?


    Luther- I''ll explain as much as I can while I wait on the doctor.


    Luther started telling of all the events of the previous three days and as he went on the look of shock on everyone''s faces just kept growing until it looked like their jaws would fall off. Not long after he finished the trainees came back carrying the doctor above their heads and set him down in front of Luther then made for the barracks.


    Doctor- Okay I''m here what is so urgent that I was ripped out my bed without even being allowed to put on proper clothes??


    Luther- Come with me we have someone that is in a bad condition and we need to know if he''ll pull through.


    Luther led the way for the doctor and the two elf girls were following close behind curious to see this Ley person Luther had described looked like and find out his condition. They reached a room close to the commanders and Luther guided him in. The doctor saw the commander then looked at the person on the bed and furled his brows then turned around and made for the door.


    Garth- Doctor where are you going why didn''t you try helping him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


    Doctor- You think I''m blind or just stupid!!! That''s the forsaken abomination I won''t go anywhere near that thing let alone help it!! I suggest while it''s unconscious stab it in the heart five times then remove it''s head and burn the body so we can be rid of it.


    After hearing the cruel words from the doctor Garth was about to rip the man into meat scraps but before he could take a single step the wall behind him started moving as if it was the surface of a pool of water and a woman stepped out with a horrible look on her face that in no way lessened her beauty.


    ???- If you dare to harm even a single hair on my little Ley''s head I will make sure even your soul will be erased from existence!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you pitiful excuse of a doctor scram before you don''t have legs to run with anymore!!!!


    Garth along with everyone else present could hardly breath the pressure this mystery woman''s presence gave off was just too much to stand up to. What Garth was sure about was this woman was a friend as she had referred to Ley in an intimate way. At this point the doctor had long since run for his life leaving behind a yellow trail and the woman had released the pressure.


    ???- You are Garth correct?


    For a moment Garth couldn''t answer he was to overwhelmed by this woman power to think straight but came back to his senses after she snap her fingers in his face a few times and finally answered.


    Garth- Ah oh um yes I''m Garth but I''m afraid I don''t know who you are may I know your name?


    ???- For now you only need to know I''m Ley''s benefactor and his life and happiness are very important to me so I ask you to take good care of your new son and be aware of the consequences if he dies or is emotionally injured when you could have prevented it. Oh and I would suggest when you start training him bar him from using him augmentations it will hinder in improvement and make him rely on them too much. Also tell him he needs to start his elemental control training soon and to pick one element to start with. Well that''s all for now look after him for me I''ll be keeping an eye on his progress.


    With a smile and a wink the woman vanished into thin air like she was an illusion but her word and warnings were very much real. After thinking about who the woman was for several minutes Garth''s ears perked up from a sound coming from Ley''s room. He rushed in and saw Ley sitting up holding his head with a pained look on his face.


    Garth- Ley are you alright?


    Ley- Yea I''m fine just have a headache. How long was I out?


    With a flash Garth had grabbed Ley into a hug and started crying.


    Ley- Um dad what''s wrong why are you crying and um who are those people outside the door? The look on her face is kinda scary. Dad please stop crying you''re getting snot all over me.

    Okay hi guys srry I Didn''t get another full chapter out today something came up and I got busy but to make up for it I have the concept pieces for Ley''s gear that he gets in the next chapter on Monday as well the the ranking system for warriors, mages, and ley himself. So here we go.

    To elaborate monster beasts have a set number of elemental affinities. first to third rank is one element then hitting rank for sends them through an evolution in which their monster core gains another affinity and so forth up to six affinities which elements depend on the species. The difference in growth  and gains for the final 3 ranks in due to the major difference once these ranks are reached basically rank 10 the beast become sentient and just as intelligent as humans, saint rank is when they have the ability is actually speak in the tongue of whatever region they live in and can learn other languages, and deity rank is when they can actually take on a human form and retain all their power.

    Copper coins - Lowest


    Silver coins - 1000 Copper coins


    Gold coins- 1000 Silver coins


    Platinum coins- 100,000 Gold coins


    Onyx card- 1000 Platinum coins


    If you think my currency points are weird when we go from gold to platinum it''s because there just won''t be many people who can have that amount it''s usually reserved for royal families and large trading companies however their are some who get lucky enough to find a rare treasure worth 1 or 2 platinum take Ley''s man sized chunk of aetheric mithril it''s price for someone who could afford the whole thing would be around 10 platinum due to the rarity of the material, the material''s quality and strength, and of course the sheer size of the chunk of metal.


    Oh one last thing I know I said a while back Ley would be using a sword well that has changed due to the fact Ley is gone learn the Grey Wolf Tribe combat art from Garth which will be used as the foundation for his own style later on. Grey Wolf Tribe combat art is a hand to hand style that requires the use of the tribes natural claws so this weapon makes up for Ley''s lack of such natural weaponry. Also don''t let the knowledge of his weapon influence your vote on his first three skills since he will create and master all of the skills listed.

 this is farewell

    Hi guys due to certain recent events in my life I''ve lost all ambition for writing and I just can''t bring myself to do to you guys what I''ve done in the past so this is where I say those oh so feared and hated words ............... Fate''s Assassin is henceforth dropped Ley is dead. I''ll answer some of the questions you might have about the future in this story that I had planned on but will now never happen. 1 his mysterious benefactor was the goddess of fate herself 2 his love interest was going to be eve 3 Garth''s father was going to be the one to forge and craft all of Ley''s gear 4 The final enemy of the story was going to be an enormous avatar of destruction that Ley''s father tried making a deal with and released from it''s prison to kill Ley but backfired and 5 Ley would take the role of the goddess of fate''s assassin and enforcer as his race had done in the past after an event that had killed all the people he care for and loved thus leaving him with only his goddess as a bond. Well I am truly sorry about this but I just can''t go on with it and if anyone wants to pick the story up and take it''s mantle I''ll gladly pm them all my notes for it just rewrite it and make it your own don''t try to follow my train of thought cause that would take away from the story.

    Hi chaos is here for the first time in awhile and well things in my life have calmed down a lot so while fate''s assassin isn''t coming back i have decided to try my hand at this again it will be a little different but some simular aspects will be there and i''m gonna be careful to not over burden myself this time so as to not let what happened to ley happen to this new guy or gal haven''t decided yet but expect something in the next several days to popup with my name on it.If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen.
