The year was 202 MeiNul era the former Mei Dynasty that had united the Warring Montu City-Kings (and Continent) under one Emperor, ending three hundred years of war and ushering in five hundred years of peace had fallen to corruption and multiple powerful nobles rebelling had split the once glorious empire into eightpower-hungry kingdoms consantly warring for land, riches, and glory. The eight kingdoms may vary in power but worries of being attacked by multiple kingdoms at once prevents the stronger from eating the weaker and they used all means available to secure their position in the world. the kingdoms are; the En Kingdom, a small weak kingom right in the middle of the continent , they have an alliance with the Li and Kai Kingdom, they are also the largest trading powers in the continent,this allows them to continue to exist. The Li Kingdom a strong warlike kingdom that guarantees the survival of the En Kindom so their largest rival the reborn Mei Kingdom from controlling the strategical center region. The Kai Kingdom, a middle size kingdom, that despite not having the largest army, it has one of the best trained, it requires the resources of the En Empire to maintain their empire and army. The Mei Empire, the only powerful one enought to be called empire, after a violent civil war it rises from the ashes stronger than it has been in the last two hundred years, it spans one-fifth of the continent, however its position makes it border five kingdoms the En, the Li, the Fie, the Kou, and the Tai Kingdoms. The Tai Kingdom a hill and forest filled land, the people tough and hardy, unlike all other kingdoms this one has few cities or towns instead most Tai people are nomads who live in the saddle, their army has little infantry, but their light calvary unmatched and their heavy calvary is in contention for top three in the continent, the only country that utilizes mounted calvary, while they struggle to take cities, even the Mei empire fears to try to invade their lands as entire armies has dissapeared into nothingness. The Fie Kingdom is surrounded by mountains on three sides, while it is called a kingdom it seems to outsiders to be a collection of tribes, these tribes dislike riding horses however their archers and infantry are well known to be ferocious, both light and heavy, while their archers are feared by all. The Kou Kingdom a medium size kingdom that hate the Kai kingdom for several slaughters of unnarmed citizens and soilders alike. They have trained their armies not only for the continued survival of their country but also revenge. and finally the mysterious Sha Kingdom not much is known about this kingdom except their lands are surrounded by mists, and they border the Kai and Kou Kingdoms and five different armies have dissapeared in the mists of Sha.Stolen story; please report.
As the bastard child to a cheap whore as a mother and an unkown father, life was pretty shitty for Siegfried. From the poorly built shack in the slums of the border city of the Kou Kingdom.The gangs, lack of money, little food, and the threat of invation from the Kai Kingdom, all combined to make a frightening enviorment full of scum and soilders. That said Siegfried, or Sig as his mom calls him, might only be thirteen but he was as large as a full grown man with more room to grow, and then there was his loving mother who filled hi whole world. However that changed from when his mother got sick, at first he used their meager savings hoping she would get better, when the savings ran out he began to steal, whether it be money, food, he took whatever he could, including a spear that he began to practice with. "Sig look at me.", his mother wheezed, "Life has been shit to both of us, but I''m proud of you. You took all that and survived." She stopped when she broke out with a coughing fit. "Ma don''t talk save your strength" Sig said hurrily. "No, listen to me, go make your mark on the world just promise me, leave this hellhole of a city" "What are you saying, I''m goin'' to stay here with you" "Then you''ll stay with a corpse, because I hav'' to go.", His mom voice grew fainter with each word, "live..." was the last thing Sig heard from her. "MAAAAA!" Siegfried sobbed, the next day her corpse was burried in a mass grave, minutes later Siegfried took his spear and joined the army. Chapter 1: EHHHHHH The only difference between peasants who officially joined the army and those conscripted during times of fierce war, at least in the Kou Kingdom, was that they received some training (mostly marching exercises and how not to stab yourself or your friends), shoddy armor, three meals of bad food a day, a place to stay (not the best of places mind you), and a small salary during times of peace. There were also limits on who could join; you had to be able to use a spear, you could not be a condemned criminal, and you had to be able to follow orders. Siegfried fit all three requirements though the recruiter snorted when he said his age and told him to go back to sucking his mother¡¯s tit. Siegfried nearly hit him, though held back and said he was an orphan, the recruiter apologized (with a sneer on his face) and let him join. He was given his gear and directed to his barracks. In his barracks he met with his five-man squad along with his squad leader. His squad consisted of a large man named Henry, a medium built man with a heavily scarred face named Joseph, a small, wiry man and the only one with sword, their captain a giant of a man wielding a pure metal Kanabo named Arnold, and finally he, himself.If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen.
