《Fell down into a dungeon》 Chapter 1 In the middle of the cave... the bright light was falling full upon boy''s face. He''s stirred a couple of times and once he gave a groan. His dark-blue cold eyes like the depths of the ocean opened and blinked few times. Richard sat and with one wave of the hand, he fixed up his auburn hair. His blurry vision finally improved, relieving scary walls covered in webs and two passages with no visible end. He got the shivers, but quickly calmed down, reminding what his father said: "Never fear, inflict fear." Refocusing himself on his surroundings, he noticed rocks like spears protruding from the ground, and others like arrows falling from the sky. It looked like a battlefield. Richard stood up but felt pain in his left leg, checking with hands if it''s not broken, a sigh of relief came out of his mouth: "It''s bruised." He looked toward one of the passages and slowly with a limp he headed in one of them. During a monotonous walk, his leg recovered and thus, he could accelerate his tempo. ''Only rats, nothing else'' he sighed. ''Everything would be great if I didn''t slip down into a hole!'' Richard kicked a rock, which had been sent flying in the shape of an arc into the darkness. "Gigi? Gu?" He stopped walking when he noticed two pairs of eyes glaring at him. "Ga!" "Gugugugu." "Gya¨Cgaggugugu!" ''Goblins.'' Richard frowned. ''If they have any weapon, my chance of survival will increase.'' Because the sign of goblins notifies that: a cave is not a cave, but a dungeon and that it¡¯s populated by more than one race. Of course, he wasn¡¯t afraid of those two goblins, because what they may do to him.If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. He quickly returned to the place, where rocky spikes were protruding from the ground. It was obvious why he did that - to use the environment. When he hid between rocks resembling wooden stakes, the sound of rapid steps resounded in the tunnel. "Guru-guru!" "Gero?" "Guga-gi-gaga!" "Ga!" ''Not good.'' Richard gulped: ''Very bad.'' He held the breath. When the group of a dozen or so goblins passed by his lodge, he breathed a sigh of relief: ''I thought those two will follow me, and not call for friends.'' He slowly got up and took a look around. ''This is the worst-case scenario.'' And it was true. Not only was he hungry, but all goblins were aware of him. He knew that he must quickly think of any plan because he won''t last long. The sounds of the march reached his ears. He had hidden behind one of the rocks and saw shadows manifesting on the wall. They were talking a couple of meters away and what made Richard smile was the fact that there were only two goblins. ''It''s time to kill those two.'' He picked up a rock and threw in the opposite direction. The sound of falling rock lured a goblin with a big nose, while the second one with big ears didn''t bother by that. ''Perfect.'' Richard was proud of his plan. Now he was awaiting a moment when goblin with a big nose will turn back on him. As goblin turned around, Richard jumped toward him. His steps were silent like a single drop hitting the ground. He jumped on the wall and bounced off of it like a spring under tension. He straightened one of his arms to pull goblin''s head behind him. His arm slammed backward, while goblin forward, smashing its head on the spike. The first one died, but the noise that it made, attracted the attention of the goblin with big ears, who started to run away while yelling: ¡°Gigaru! Gigaru!¡± Richard started chasing after it. He couldn¡¯t let him alert other goblins because ending would be obvious. Picking up a rock, he threw it at fleeing ugly creature. It got hit, right in the back of the head, causing goblin to fall down. The creature grabbed the back of the head and screamed out in pain: ¡°Gyaaa!¡± Richard ran up to goblin who was curling up in pain and bestow upon it a fatal blow with a big rock, which cracked his skull, spilling brain covered in blood. He checked the first body, but besides rag, he found nothing. But the second body offered him a rusty dagger and few copper coins. ¡®Half a loaf is better than no bread.¡¯ As he thought, he started walking toward the goblins¡¯ lair. Chapter 2 Richard stopped at the corner of the tunnel. In front of his eyes, in a room, goblins were lost in their feast. He divided them into four groups of four. The first group was eating flesh by the fire, while second was fighting between them with bare hands. The third group was absorbed by pleasure, which they gave out all of their desires. Women with dead eyes, without legs or arms, and even limbless... alive dollies. Richard''s face darkened..., and when he was ready to jump out, something stopped him. He shook his head and came to his senses: ''...T-that was close.'' Next, his eyes fell on the last group: ''Guards.'' The group with full armor and swords: ''It will be nice to lure one of them here.'' Richard thought. For now, he decided to find different paths to goblins¡¯ lair, because three tunnels were connected with this room, and the passageway in which he was hiding now, was located in the most disadvantageous place for his plan. He walked away. Grumbling echoed within his stomach. He grabbed his tummy and furiously tried to find a prey. Eating a goblin was beside decision other than that it was prohibited. His father told him that monsters¡¯ flesh is very poisonous, and even small bite could send a grown man to the grave. So Richard searched every recess, he came in contact with. After one hour of torture, he caught a rat and set a fire in a place, where he fell into the dungeon. He used capped roots, a dagger with a rock and dried rags. It took him some time before he could make a fire, but when he did that, he nearly yelled out of joy. With the rat of the size of his head, he could fill his stomach without a problem. Rat¡¯s meat was very chewy, so it gave him hard time to eat it, but he did it without whimpering. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. Richard licked a bone and threw it in the fire. He stood up and went deeper into the dungeon. The darkness enveloped him. He could barely see anything, only the tip of his nose. One of his hands was always in contact with a wall on his left, while second directed forward so as not to collide with a wall when he met with a turn. *Squish~~* *~Squash~~squesh* Richard froze in place. He gulped. It was a slime, he was certain of it because there was only one monster who could make the sounds of squishing jelly. His father told him that to defeat slimes, he must destroy a core, which continuously is moving within the slime as it jumps. If not, the slime will be without an end replicating its jelly. Secondly, for some reason they have very good hearing, but they don¡¯t feel anything as they don¡¯t see anything, it was stupid Richard thought, when he heard that, but in this world, there are many monsters, which have never been seen by humans. So the only way to get out of this alive was to slowly, without uttering any sound, moving forward, praying to not stumble upon slime. Richard¡¯s heart was beating like crazy. He didn¡¯t see anything, if he starts running away, he could meet with a wall and lose consciousness and wake up without legs. Only thinking about it sent shivers down his spine. And even if he wanted to make a fire, how? He didn¡¯t have a torch or necessary materials. So he thought of a new plan. When slime begins to jump, he will be walking at the same time. It calmed him a little, but he was still nervous because for slime it was situation win-win. If he makes a sound, the slime will eat him. He can¡¯t see anything, so slime will eat him. Real disaster. *~~Squesh~* *Squish~* He made few steps. He could feel his heart still beating like crazy, so he put a hand on his breast, which surprisingly calmed him down. *Squash~~* Another few steps. The slime was slipping away. And finally, after standing for few minutes, Richard didn¡¯t hear anything. He sighed. He was relieved. He could continue his walk. Chapter 3 Richard smacked from time to time, due to dried mouth cavity. He even gulped his saliva many times, but now there was almost nothing. He was thinking about licking wet walls, but it won¡¯t provide much to him. Only water oozing from rift or running off from a stalactite will quench his thirst. Sometimes a drop of water dripped on his head, causing to turn his head in an instant toward a place, where the drop of water came from, with a fully exposed tongue to at least satisfy his organism with this amount, even if it calm his body for a split second. But it wasn¡¯t guaranteed that next bead will come, and in most cases was like that. The food was not a problem now, but only thinking of water gave him a headache, making him gave a groan: ¡°I want to leave¡ I want to go home¡ I want to sleep in my bed...¡± He even reminded of an alcohol, which goblins kept in the corner of their room, making him turn back few times, but he knew that he couldn¡¯t¡ it was driving him crazy... Richard already left the dark floor, so now he could see everything within five meters ahead, but he didn¡¯t care about it, he continuously murmured one word under nose: ¡°Water¡ water¡ water.¡± His pace slowed down, making merely steps. He fell down. He could hear steps resounding somewhere before him. It caused his senses to came back making him terrified. He tried to move, but body refused to cooperate. Richard was cursing at himself, for his unskillfulness, and that he disappointed his father, that it will make his mother cry. It¡¯s such a pity that he couldn''t do anything he thought. When he could hear steps clearly, he lost consciousness. Reading on this site? This novel is published elsewhere. Support the author by seeking out the original. A tear slowly fell down. ¡ ¡°Richi! He could only see family slowly vanishing in the distance. Tears were streaming down his face as his voice disappeared into nothingness. ¡ Richard woke up all sweaty with a heart booming like crazy. He slowly touched his cracked lips, gave his eyes a wipe-down and looked around. His eyes got bigger, he wiped his eyes again and stopped breathing. What is this place? Where am I? Did I get out? Am I alive? The wave of wonders hit him. He found himself in a small place, which could fit five beds. Looking around, he could see a pile of scrap metal, randomly hanging shelves with jars and rusty devices. There was even a big sword of his height, but Richard''s eyes widened when he saw table with some food. He threw away his thoughts and like hungry hyena pounced on food. He didn¡¯t even notice that he isn¡¯t any longer hungry or thirsty, he just sat at the table with open wide mouth and like drooling baby stare at food, while his arms slowly headed toward it. A tasty mushroom soup with various smells pleasant for his nose and flavors for taste buds overflow within Richard, he could only smile and close eyes with each spoon. For the main course was a rat, but compared to the one he made, this was wonderful. With each bite, his organism went wild demanding for more, real feast for senses. Between each bite he drank a jug full of honey, he couldn¡¯t be happier at this moment, but... ¡°I see you¡¯re enjoying yourself.¡± ¡ someone interrupted him.
