《Unwilling Second Prince's lazy daily life》 Chapter 1 My previous chapters were very short and full of errors so I tried to write longer version with less mistakes. Hope this new version will make more sense. ******** Midnight, the way a big moon in the sky was illuminating the whole City of Tetra, it was almost blinding. The whole city looked like a masterpiece. The trees, lakes, fountains and those lofty palaces on the top of the mountain looked like a jewel crafted crown made by some mysterious person. A cool breeze carrying an unknown sweet fragrance created the whole atmosphere even more enchanting. Everything was dazzling under the silvery veil of the moonlight but most dazzling pieces were the palaces on the top of the city. Those lofty palaces were the center of attention of this magnificent scenery. Each one of them were crafted with extreme precision and beautifully. White light was reflecting from of the white jades on them. However the one of them stood out even more with a scarlet bronze reflection like ruby within pearls. That palace was called Crescent Moon''s Peak palace, nobody knew who named it, but it was built for one favoured Empress years ago. This palace was made from white gold and luxurious sandalwoods while the interior of the palace was decorated with different types of corals. Once it was one of the beautiful palaces within the city. However, now days it was left in negligence and was given to an unfavoured prince for living purposes. As the time passed a scarlet reflection from the palace shone even brighter. Even a child could tell from it, a fire has started in the palace of crescent moon''s peak. The palace was very quiet than usual palaces, a household of five people was living in it. Other than prince, there were two maids, one steward, one cook were living in it. There were no guards at this palace. That was a perfect example of what kind of treatment the prince was receiving from the Emperor. Well, no one could complain, as the prince could not speak properly from his toddler age. His head was no good. So people called him retard prince. Burnt smell of sandalwoods covered the whole palace. There were charred wood columns everywhere. Even walls made with White gold started to melt in this scorching heat of those flames. The fire already spread towards inner quarters. Strangely enough, no one was shouting for help. The whole situation was very eerie and it looked like someone used a sleeping curse over this palace.Suddenly a scream of a child can be heard from one of the chambers in the north. The chamber was a very simple for a prince. Most of the furniture already caught on fire. The supporting beams of the chamber were about to crumble at any moment. In the middle of the room there was a wooden bed, and which already caught the flames on its leg posts. Top of it a little boy wearing a simple embroidered cotton clothes was screaming to the top of his lungs while struggling to get up with all his might. The boy was about eleven years old, with a small and petite body structure. Head full of deep scarlet red hair with a small, delicate translucent snow white face. A pair of silver coloured eyes was showing a full of struggle. ........................... "It is so hot in the room. I opened my eyes abruptly to find my room is filled with smoke and I was alone in the room. Without a doubt, Fire, somehow my room caught on fire. I yelled towards my steward and maid, but no one replied, as waiting for them will cause my life to meet its end so I tried to jump out of my bed but I felt my body was not moving either. Suddenly a thought chilled my spine. Assassination. But why? I never left the building even once since I was small. I could not think of anyone who held a grudge against me, but now is not the time to ponder over it, I must get up." At that time somewhere else, two men in white was kneeling in front of a young man with a luxurious robe inside a luxurious mansion. "Master, we have dealt with the problem." "Any witness?" the young man who seemed to be the young man aged between fifteen or sixteen years spoke with a charming voice. "None to be found. A pinch of Night leaf powder is strong enough to make everyone to fall asleep for eight to ten hours the least. Cook was very stubborn at first , but It was not that hard to force him after we threatened the him with his son and wife''s life. Rest assured, when morning comes only ash will remain instead of the palace. Also to be precise we used the gravity charms on the bodies to restrict any movements." "Good, good, that loathsome prince is better off dead than living. If you want to blame, blame the Grand Empress Dowager for giving you the Marquisate of Luan. If that was not enough, she was even trying to make a marriage match between the heavenly daughter of Prime minister Gu and you. Whole Capital knows how much I adore her. If my mother did not inform me, I did not even know about this scheme. Not giving me face, Let''s see what she can do after that trash is dead." ............................ Head Eunuch Lei was reading in his study when an assistant informed him that a patrol guard was sent by the patrol captain with an emergency report for his majesty. After hearing from his assistant old Eunuch immediately went to meet the man. Eunuch Lei was serving the previous emperor when he was sent to serve a toddler. After more than fifty years of service, old Lei had seen and heard many things. But after hearing the report the usual calm and composed eunuch suddenly started to panic. His whole body trembled from head to toe and his skin colour turned all white suddenly. "Heavens...... This is bad. This is seriously bad news. How did this happen? For how long?" As the patrol guard left after finishing his report, old Lei immediately called out the surrounding royal guards. "You all immediately head towards Prince Shen''s palace. Patrol guards reported a fire started in second prince''s palace. Get more men if you need also take plenty of buckets and ropes with you." As the royal guard left, he immediately strode towards the imperial palace. If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. "I really pray, it was an accident, if not I would not even dare to imagine the consequence." Imperial Palace of Yu Dynasty was the biggest and grandest buildings within the City of Tetra. It was the most lavish palace, which belonged to the emperor Himself. It was made with white jade stones and blue crystals, the walls were adorned with rubies and diamonds. There were heavy chandeliers along the hallway. Doors were made with white gold and emeralds where windows were covered with polished painted glass. It was truly one of a kind. Inner chambers were even more captivating. Each room was different from each other. Styling, decoration and even flower arrangement were different. The largest chamber was the sleeping chamber of the emperor. Craftsmanship in this room was extraordinary compared to others. Gold and silver peony flowers were crafted on the walls. Where the floor was shaped like a blooming lotus flower. A water channel was encircling the entire chamber like a real pond. A gold plated dragon bed was in the middle of the room. Thousands of rose petals were floating on the water, making the air very fragrant. "Forgive us for the rudeness for waking you up, Your Majesty, " a few eunuchs and few guards was frantically pleading in front of the closed door. As the head eunuch entered in the room, he immediately kowtowed in front of the bed. A man who was sitting on the bed after waking up in the midnight had an annoyed expression on his face, beside him, a young beauty who was trying to wrap herself in the white silk over the bed. As it was still dark in the room, features of the emperor are still not prominent enough, but by the body shape he looked like a healthy male in his late thirties. A head full of long crimson hair that tied loosely on the back of the head and a jade like body was enough to tell he was handsome enough to swoon a lot of women''s heart. Emperor Wei worked very hard at night and just recently closed his eyes for the night, so he was fuming inside. He glared at the old Eunuch below roared in a deep voice. "What is it? What made you to barge into my sleeping chamber after midnight. You better have a proper explanation." "Informing Your Majesty, a fire broke out inside the Crescent Moon''s Peak Palace. I already sent men to control it, however, patrol report showed the fire was fierce, so no one could get inside of the palace as of yet. So we cannot decide the percentage of the damages. However Your Majesty, we are also uncertain about the condition of the second prince." "Second Prince? That retard kid? I was not even sure he was still alive until you spoke of him. Hmph, If Grandmother did not favour him, I doubt he would have lived till this day. How dare he made a fuss in the middle of a night. So what do you expect me to do in the middle of the night? You already sent the men towards the palace so it was already taken care of. Send few more men to control the damage, so fire does not spread to any other palaces. It will be a pity if we lose that grand palace. As for the boy, If he dies today send his corpse to Grand Empress Dowager. I doubt she will live here any longer after his death. If he lives inform that to grandmother that too. That time that Jing woman dared to seduce me, I never favoured her after that child turned into a fool and sent her to a nunnery to pray for his life. If Grandmother did not intervene, I would have killed both mother and child long time ago. Second prince, what second prince. Loathsome Jing clan''s blood. How could a waste like him even born in my bloodline. Hmph. Now leave, You are disturbing our sleep." Emperor pointed his index finger towards the door. "Emperor is wise. This servant will leave now." Hearing all this, head eunuch shivered internally and removed himself from the chamber. ------------------- A bright red coloured sky in the north can be seen from the Phoenix Crown Palace. A gorgeous female adorned with exquisite jewelries and pearl encrusted gold crown, wearing a gaudy silk robe was watching the scene from the terrace. A sneer came upon her lips. " I never received the love I was longing for from my man because of your family. You even forced your family on my son''s life. Now you still wanted to meddle in my grandson''s happiness? You should not blame me for being heartless." .......................... Treasure Palace was also called Exalted palace by the people of Yu Empire. This palace was the residence of the second most powerful person other than the Emperor himself, the most revered Grand Empress Dowager of Yu Empire. One command from her could entirely upside down the entire Yu Empire. Even Emperor did not dare to challenge her commands. She usually did not interfere with the current emperor''s decisions, but the whole royal court knew this as a fact. It was already night time, many of the palace servant were preparing themselves for sleep. As the lights of the palace were being put out, the bright red sky in the north became more vivid. One maid who noticed it earlier, ran to report it to their superior. "Grand Empress Dowager, Your Majesty, a fire started in Prince Shen''s palace", an extremely good looking handmaiden dressed in a blue silk urgently entered inside the old dowager''s chamber to report their Mistress, who was resting on a couch wearing white robe. Her hair was let loose on the floor, a simple ruby encrusted hairpin was tied with those long hair cascade. Old Empress Dowager did not look like an old woman from any angle, she still looked like below forty years old beautiful maiden. Long golden hair, with snow white skin, a pair of silver eyes made her extremely enchanting to look. She was the biological paternal grandmother of the Emperor and great grandmother of all the princes and princesses. One might get confused after looking at her young age, but only a few of the old royal family members and servants knew she was a cultivator and an elder from a grand sect. She also hailed from Jing clan. After her son ascended to the throne, she thought to make her life easier, so she picked a girl from the Jing clan as Empress for his own son He. However, the majority of the court officials rejected the idea to balance the relationship of the imperial family with the other noble clans within the empire. Though the late Emperor chose a different Empress, he always loved the Jing Princess but sadly princess suddenly passed away. When current crown prince Wei ascended to the throne he took many concubines and one of them from Jing clan as well. However, as the son of the current Empress dowager he hated the Jing clan to his bone even Grand dowager knew it very well, So when the relationship between the Emperor and Shu Fei turned sour, she openly supported the mother and child in their critical times. She wanted the mother and child to get a better life, however, that irked the Emperor so much that he sent the mother to the nunnery and house arrested the child. After hearing the news from her personal maiden, the old woman could not rest any longer and stood up. In the last eight years, nothing happened in the little prince''s palace as he was under her protection. However, she maintained her distance to make the life of the prince easier. Every day she sent a person to check on palace. Today was also the same. The people in the prince''s household were very trustworthy. They never neglected their duties to serve the prince in past years. As a great grandmother of imperial household, the wise old woman was almost certain that the fire did not just started randomly as in imperial household most of the accidents were happened to be man made. Seeing the old mistress stood up, the beauty who was respectfully kneeling on the floor immediately stood up. "Mistress, please, do not be agitated, I, Rong Jing will immediately bring the prince in front of you." Grand Dowager looked at the pretty maiden below, and said in very icy tone. "He was my responsibility." Then she stomped on the floor and with a "whoosh" she vanished from her chamber. Someone had the courage to harm someone who she was protecting. They really were tired of their good life. She was boiling inside with hatred and anger. The maiden looked at the direction where the Dowager stood a moment ago and commanded to all the ladies in waiting in a somber voice. "Prepare a well lit room for his highness and call for the imperial healer immediately." After giving the order she immediately left for the kitchen to inform the cooks. The whole palace instantly became very busy. Chapter 2 Another chapter, I tried my best to correct the grammer and added more content . Hope you enjoy reading it. ***************************** As the fire went rampant, smell of burnt sandalwoods mixed with the smell of burnt coral was giving a deadly pungent smell in the surroundings of the palace. Bits and pieces of charred wood architraves were falling down on the surface below. Once the tall and high ceilings caved in and now barely managed to stay high. The surface below what once was a stunningly beautiful handcrafted wooden floor, now turned into lumps of white charcoal on the scorched blackened mud. All porches and gazebos inside the palace were now burnt down to the ground. The trees planted into the garden which were just recently giving a feeling of paradise on earth, now turned into a forest of death. All the originally beautiful gold crafted wall hanging decorations melted in this heat and became hideous to look at. The fire burned down almost every nice thing remained with the Crescent Moon''s Peak palace''s outer area and now was trying to swallow the rest of the inner palace under it''s unstoppable hunger. "The ceilings of the inner palace were not maintained properly in recent years, so when the wood ceilings caught the fire, they started to fall like leaves in the autumn. As the prince''s room was a bit bigger than others so the damages were not severe yet. The ceiling was still hanging above, though the supporting beams would not hold it up for long. However, that was not helping prince much. He tried and tried, but he could not even lift his leg. His whole body was like made of stone. Beads of sweat were glistening his face "Cough, cough." Smoke in the room was getting denser and denser by every passing moment. The brunt fishy smell from corals in my room was making me nauseated. I inhaled a lot of smoke and now I could not even breathe properly. This must be what they called choked to death. The fire must have spread everywhere, Ah, I hope big sister Xu and Mei and Uncle Fu are alright. They must get away from this place. "Is this how, my, Shen Yu''s life going to end?" I suddenly felt extreme sadness for my mother in the nunnery. She would not even know how I died. I have not seen her for a long, long time now. When she left me, I was little over three. So I do not know much about her, but she was a very gentle mother when she was with me. Her sweet voice when she talked to me still lingered in my ears. Unfortunately, I do not remember the face of my parent. Actually, I did not even want to recall any of my childhood memories. Every time I tried, I could only see a very blurry image of a talking old person then my head started to hurt and occasionally random images appeared in my head if I did not faint before that. As for my father, the only things I knew about him that he was the emperor and he did not care about me much. I think after hearing that I completely stopped asking about him. I did not want to get a headache because of a person who did not care for my life. I always hoped to see my mother once again beside me. Little prince clenched his little fists and promised to himself. "If I get to see tomorrow, I will definitely bring my mother back to my side. No matter what." Sometime time I tried to ask big sister Xu about my mother, but I did not think she understood me, as every time she brought food after that. As time passed by I realized she could not understand me because I did not speak like a normal person. However, even then she treated me like an affectionate older sister. I once heard she came with my mother as dowry maid and she had taken care of me since my birth till now. Her personality was very gentle. She fed me, bathed me, told me stories at night, stayed beside me when I was sick. Big sister Xu was almost a mother figure to me. On the other hand Uncle Fu and big sister Mei have a very indifferent attitude towards me. Uncle Fu rarely visited my room, a few times when he came, he came to give a money bag and received a thumb print from me. He was a very grumpy looking man. Big sister Mei had a very cold attitude towards me, I did not know who appointed her here, but she was not very happy to work for me. She often ate and drank the fruits and drinks that were made for me. Also, she often used the curse words like cripple and retard towards me. Still, I did not mind her as she often shared many interesting outside world news with big sister Xu in front of me. " I really hope they escaped from this palace." Prince sighed. My eyes started to get moist as I thought about my puny life. In the past, I remembered there was a very pretty nice woman who used to visit me, but the frequency of her visits started to decline then suddenly stopped. She said she was my great grandmother who defended me from kicked out of royal clan and helped me to retain my prince title. In that time I did not think much over it anyway, but now I believed she saved me from being homeless that time. Some people from other royal households often came to visit me every month. They all tried to steal the our household items, but they could not get away from being caught red handed by Big sister Mei. They usually yelled and cursed at Big sister Xu and me for occupying this big palace shamelessly while their mistresses were living in much smaller palaces. Few of them even brought white silk for me to commit suicide. Some bold guests even tried to use force to kick us out from this palace, but big sister Xu managed to send them back with livid bruises all over their bodies. Big sister Xu was awesome that time. Big sister Xu often told me to ignore the nonsense talks. Most of the people who suffered the beating gave me a title of Fake prince. Some even dared to file complain to remove me from imperial register. They all hated the fact that I was still the current second in line to the throne of Yu Empire and no one dare to change it because of my great grandmother. Though I was allowed a handsome amount of money as monthly allowance, but as I was a stain to the imperial blood and a good for nothing, my allowance was reduced to 20 silver leaves per month. Which was a basic monthly income of any common household in Yu Empire. No one objected this other than my great grandmother, but it was futile as I heard from the gossips of sister Mei. It seemed I had a powerful maternal family, but no one ever visited me from them. I heard they even announced that they had no relationship with me. People often criticized and mocked me being a dead weight in Imperial family and it would have been better if I died in childbirth. It was firmly believed that educating me will be a waste so I was restrained from study and writing. Children took their inner talent test at the age of six, however I did not even get a chance to apply. Big sister Xu went and bought a form for me, but one of the examiners saw it and tore it by snatching it from her hand. I still could not understand till this day where all those hatred were coming from. I did not harm anyone in my entire life. So why just people could not leave me alone. The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. "I was a dumb, illiterate child, so no one had a slightest bit of hope for me hence I had a lazy and easy-going life till this day. To be honest, I enjoyed it very much, though I was restrained from visiting outside world, I was still very happy within my small household. No one had any reason to assassinate me. Yet someone did it today. Cruel people, not even sparing a crippled kid. As my death was approaching rapidly I tried to recall my mother''s face for the last time, a sudden sensation of pain triggered in my head and I fainted. A white space out of nowhere numerous transparent balls of light were hovering in the air, all of them were different in colour. White, red, blue, green and many other colours made this place look like a rainbow. These balls of light were called soul and this place was called Eternal soul palace. Each ball of light was giving sparkling aura from them "Ah, no, no. Not again, I will burn to death this time." A silvery violet ball of light appeared suddenly out of nowhere. The ball was giving a blinding aura from it. "We met once again" A wise voice spoke out from the space. A majestic white robed old man appeared right after as the owner of the voice. He looked like he was around sixty years old. Long white strands of hair over his shoulder. A jade hairpin tied the hair into a knot on his head. An aloof smile was on his lips. The aura from old person was very ancient as he knew everything within the whole universe, but strangely this aura was filled with mischief. As soon as the old man appeared all souls scattered towards the corner like they were running away from him. The silvery violet ball transformed into a human shaped figure, a small and petite boy. This ball was the soul of prince Shen Yu. "Ai, this old man, this is not a good time for the meeting." the prince hurriedly said. "If you do not return me right now, even my bones will not remain. Do you wish me to die?" The old man laughed at the boy as if he was amused. That smile was not a smile. "Even if I sent you back now, how do you deal with gravity charm on your body, boy?" Prince was shocked, so that was the reason he could not lift his body. Such vicious method to deal with someone. Prince contorted his face in horror. He had heard about this charm from Big sister Xu. Only medium or higher grade charm master could produce a gravity charm. One of each will cost about 3 gold leaves. At least he will die as rich. "Do not make that face, boy. You will not die today." "How? No one was there when I yelled. Do you know what happened to others?" "Help is on its way. Others are safe as well." "Thank the heaven." Prince was relieved. He then asked "Why did you call me here then?" A creepy smile suddenly bloomed on the old man''s face. When the prince was three years old, he could not even speak properly anymore and his frequent blackouts also started around that time. No one could find the cure so every healer and apothecaries believed prince was suffering from brain disease, but that was not the actual case. This old man was the main culprit for that incident. This old man was called Lord Mu, keeper of the Eternal Soul palace. It was his duty to look after the reincarnation cycle of the souls. When a person died in the mortal world, their soul will appear here before they go under the judgement of hell. It was Lord Mu''s duty to send the soul on their way to palace of hell. He had another duty too, that to check the growth level of the soul after each incarnation and whether or not to let the souls retain their past memories. Every time a soul incarnated it started with a base soul strength, and if they cultivate further they could strengthen it. The strength of the soul depended on the colour of souls. White was the weakest while violet was the strongest. In between them were, yellow, red, orange, green, blue, cyan. Prince Shen''s soul was sent to total eleven incarnations cycles before it descended as the mortal body of Shen Yu. So after eleventh cycles of reincarnation, it turned into a violet soul. In each cycle Lord Mu must let his soul retain the all of the memories of his previous incarnations. This process was very crucial and it always took a long time to transmit the memories. This was an important duty given by the heavenly court. However, in this incarnation due to a minor mistake the soul of prince Shen descended as a newborn soul into the mortal world. Oldman also completely forgot about it, but three years after the reincarnation, heavenly court found out about the problem and wanted to punish Lord Mu. To avoid the punishment Lord Mu found a loophole in the rules of incarnation and brought back the soul of the prince in the Eternal Soul Palace, but that time the soul strength already reversed back to the yellow colour. That freaked out the old man so much to fix his mistake he forcefully transmitted all of the memories of eleven cycles into a newborn soul. Due to this new born soul''s memory could not take the pressure and scattered. However soul strength reached to blue in colour which made Lord Mu extremely happy and he sent the soul back its own body. This made a tremendous impact on little prince''s little life and cause of the all problems in this life. However a side effect happened, most of Prince''s old memories could not integrate with the new born soul properly so it became a layer covering the new soul which was slowly seeping into the new born soul. Every time prince tried to remember something from his childhood, a past memory entered into the new born soul, thus making the random headaches and blackouts. This old man in front of him was a sly person who lived for thousands of years, so the figure of the prince was very fidgety and wanted to get away from him as soon as he can. "When I brought your for the first time, you were here with a little yellow colour body that gave me a fright, now look at you, all violet body, hmm strange. Let me see how much past memories you have recalled during these past years. " "I refuse." Prince instantly declined. Chapter 3 *Semi edited* Chapter 3 The sky above the Crescent Moon''s Peak Palace a dense layer of fog made it impossible to see through even in the moonlight, within the middle of that dense fog a portion suddenly distorted and a white silhouette of a woman appeared within it. A bone chilling cold aura was circling around her. She was none other than the Grand Empress Dowager. As she looked over the burning palace, her face showed a deep anger that was ready to explode at any moment. She hovered above the palace and murmured an incantation. A blue magical diagram of symbols appeared in front of her. Suddenly it flashed and a large mass of water elements started to gather around her and as she chants finished, they started to form into a humongous sphere of water before her. The water sphere immediately smashed on the walls of a flame of the Crescent Moon Palace. It instantly crushed the raging fire and wiped all the burnt wooden obstacles that blocked the entrance of the inner palace. A thick amount of vapor covered the palace. The white-robed figure entered in the vapor and flew towards the inner palace. "Wan Ji, Come out." She commanded in an agitated tone. Suddenly a purple robed young maiden appeared and respectfully bowed. The maiden was adorned with beautiful jewelry appearing like a fairy that could bring calamity to a nation. If anyone looked at her closely would be shocked and baffled as she looked very much like miss Xu, who was supposed to be sleeping at this time in the burning palace below. "Mistress, you called?" The maiden answered in a very cautious manner. "Look down. Is this how you are protecting that child?" Grand Empress mocked coldly at the young woman. "Ah." The maiden looked down and a shrill voice came out of her small cherry mouth. She was sent by her mistress to protect the young mistress, but afterward, her duty was to protect the newborn child instead. After young mistress left the palace, her duty increased by ten folds and continued even now. In these past years, nothing major incidents happened under her watch. So watching the ruined palace, she was speechless and scared. As a contracted spirit failing a responsibility was like a stain that will remain for entire life. How could she hold her head high in the future? Ah. "This, this, how is this possible? When I went to my world early evening today, and everything was fine. I even left my defensive formation around the palace. No mortal fire can harm this castle." Wan Ji paused, "Impossible, I can''t sense my defensive barrier, someone broke it by force. Grand Empress was not impressed and her voice dropped even further. "Quickly, scan the palace and find out the condition of Prince. I hope we are not late." "As you command" Purple robed fairy brought out a small golden bell within her girdle and shook it gently. Strings of invisible sound waves transmitted through the air. "Mistress, most part of the palace is burnt to a crisp, but strangely enough, I found no traces of anyone other than the prince in the inner palace. Oddly, there should have been sister Mei and sir steward, inside the palace, but they are also missing. " "Is that so? Hmph, I will see to that." "Look for the prince, is he still alive?" "His highness is currently unconscious due to smoke and fear and barely breathing, most of his skin has been scalded. I also found some traces as if someone used a charm to keep his highness on the bed. Mistress, I also can smell a strange sweet fragrance in the air." A glint of murderous intent can be seen in those clear cold eyes of the Grand Empress. "Whoever dared to harm the child under her protection. They should forfeit their good life from today. In the white space, as the old man approached towards the figure of the prince, he immediately took a step back and uttered the words that stunned the old man in his spot. "I refuse." "But, but. Won''t you let me check even a little?" "No. Enough is enough. Firstly, it was your fault that people gave me the name of retard. The day you forcibly pulled my soul to this place, it was my second birthday. You think that was ideal timing? Maybe for you, but not for me, because of that not only I lost my ability to speak, but that even caused my social standing as price even my mother was forced to leave me." The old man showed an apologetic face, but he still did not want to admit his mistake. "But, It was for your own bright future, as for your disability of speaking, it had nothing to do with me." "............." "You think? You gave thousands of years worth of information to a toddler, who could barely speak and still think, it was okay? Are you sane?" "You made my childhood memories disarrayed, my own childhood memory now felt distant to me, that I could not even remember how my mother looks like." This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work."May I ask for what kind of bright future, you forced my past memories into my soul. Did I not suppose to forget them? "I just want to enjoy a comfortable mortal life peacefully. I do not wish to do anything with cultivations." "Though I hardly recalled any of my past memories, I am still unwilling to repeat my past live''s miseries regarding any kind cultivations as they were the cause of my demise in my previous lives. I very much like this body which did not possess a trace of Qi or spirit. I am very thankful for that." The old man was speechless and dumbfounded while the figure spoke in full throttle. Suddenly, as if he was in a trance, he suddenly spread his senses and silently started to inspect the soul in front of him. "How can this be?" He exclaimed inwardly. The old man was puzzled and once again inspected Prince''s soul. Suddenly he shrieked in fear and retreated a few steps back. "This, this is impossible. How can this be?" The soul of the Prince was startled, he would never have thought this old man secretly inspecting him. "What is it, old man?" Prince asked. "You do not have any Qi or spirit circulation within your body." "I just told you that." "How can that be? This was not supposed to happen." Lord Mu''s face lost its colour, it went from pale to white in a few breaths of time. Last time he checked the innate talent of this soul was one of the highest in the mortal realm even now the soul has the highest soul strength, but there was no trace of spirit or Qi circulation within, like a deep stagnant pool. This made this immortal old man scared to death. How was this possible? He had already transferred the memories in the soul. The soul sprouted an unmatched dual talent root within the body, but now nothing is in there. The child is telling was the absolute truth. Impossible. The old man mumbled something in his breath then answered in a solemn voice. "You should know, in your current world, most of the humans possess Qi or spirit innate talent within them and rarely someone possesses both and though it is uncommon but few unfortunates did not possess any. "Then I must among those unfortunates." Prince interrupted. The old man ignored him and continued. "Spirit innate talent is the key to successfully use the mana within your world and Qi innate talent defines your strength. Those who possess both, are almost invincible characters in the mortal world. But in your case, you should have possessed more than that. When I first summoned you, you had one of the best kind of spirit and Qi innate talent in your current world. Along with your soul, you should have one of the highest levels of talents in your entire world." "Oh." Prince now showed some interest in the conversion. "However, somehow after our first visit, it seems that talent root disappeared within you which is quite impossible. Anyhow, If I guessed it correctly, because of the outside tampering your inborn talent started to diminish as time progressed." "Hmm." Strange, why I did not notice it till now? This is not a pure violet soul. Why, why there are silver strands within it? Why is the core still blue, blue? Wait, This, this is not blue, there is indigo mixed in it." Old Mu was flabbergasted with wide eyes like he saw a ghost. "Good heavens. This, this I must report this to his majesty. Indigo was the first colour within the forbidden soul strength list. This is a sign of a variant soul. Anybody who achieved this colour is counted in numbers and already beyond being a just a god. This much soul strength is the calamity for the mortal world. I, I accidentally pushed this soul to this point and made this grave mistake. If the heavenly court found this I will get a heavy punishment." "What is it, why did you stop talking?" Prince looked at the old man with curiosity. Old Mu suddenly spoke hoarsely, "Your soul is currently fused with numerous different innate talents of different eras with that many cultivation methods, martial arts and spiritual arts that were already forgotten among human even some from other realms. As you possess no innate talent, this makes it impossible to cultivate. No Qi or spirit can be circulated through your current state. However, your soul is still gathering worldly essences of spirit and Qi but alas, it is currently useless for you. "Really?" Prince laughed. "I thought you found something wrong within my body. It is a good thing for me, I do not have to spend my time on training in this lifetime." Lord Mu paused, then sighed, he continued, "Only deity realm and above can survive with such massive amount of spirit and Qi within the soul, it is impossible to measure how much your soul has already consumed, but if you stayed as a mortal, you will not survive after your 20th birthday. Can you still laugh? Prince''s soul paused for a moment, then said, "If nothing else, then you should send me back." "Are you not afraid?" "I died numerous times already, one more does not matter." The old man can only sigh and shook his head. "Wait, before I send your soul to your body, take this" A snowball like white orb was tossed towards the prince''s figure. "This is a poison dispelling orb. Absorb it in your soul, it will dispel any abnormalities caused by any poison within your body and soul. I believe you were poisoned in your infancy, so this will help you to alleviate it your condition. You should be able to speak again." "Thank you." A white light wrapped the prince and he was gone. Suddenly a realization struck. "Ah" Legs went soft and the old man dropped on the floor on his buttock. "This boy... boy unknowingly stole my spirit arts." "Anybody here?" "Yes, Lord." "Inform Celestial Emperor that in this life cycle his son became a variant and I do not know if it is a good thing or a bad thing. I need to ask the elders." Suddenly a little kitten like animal jumped out from thin air and rubbed its head on the legs of the old man. "Master, you meanie, why did not you wake me up when you went to the ancestral heavenly hall, I would have met my family. As the little animal looked around it exclaimed, Ha weird, I was so sure we were in the ancestral hall a few moments ago. Master, why you are making your face like that?" As the drops of cold sweat appeared on the forehead, the old man fainted in horror. "Mistress." "It looks like people from royal guards are here." "Are they now? I guess they were waiting for the palace to burn until nothing left." "My grandson is really ruthless to his own blood." "Good, very good, let''s see how I deal with you." "Strange, someone from inside must have plotted to get this kind of result." "This is the room where the prince sleeps." As grand dowager walked in the room, she saw a frightening sight. Fire almost burned everything in the room, the air was mixed with smoke and burnt human flesh. On an almost burnt bed prince was lying like a dead person, there are blisters all over his body. Thankfully, the fire had yet to reach his bone. "He is still unconscious." "Poor boy. Let grandmother avenge you." "Let''s go back" both women floated away with the unconscious body in the direction of the dowager palace.
