《Gods Be Wary》 A Meeting With The Overseer ¡°Why did you request to meet?¡± asked the Overseer. All around me was the seemingly endless void, the Overseers voice seemed like it was coming from every direction. The Overseer as it is called does not have a form, it was everywhere. ¡°I have a request¡± I replied. ¡°What is it that you require from me?¡± The Overseer said in its ever so monotonous voice. Here it is, what I had planned with the little time had when I was last summoned. I came prepared obviously as the Overseer will not allow for much if it doesn¡¯t at least benefit it a little. Breathing deeply, I replied ¡°I wish to stop slumbering and be permanently awakened, of course I will do my job whenever it is required of me¡±. Everything was quiet for a few seconds. Bite the bait, bite the bait, come on you monotonous bastard. ¡°And what do you suppose I will get from this deal¡± IT BIT THE BAIT, FUUUUCCCCCKKKKKK YESSSSSSSS, now all I need to do is bring it home. ¡°Of course, I have considered you and have come up with terms beneficial for you. Firstly, you can take my powers of teleportation, flight and all the other abilities that require you constantly focusing your powers on me which I know is straining for you¡± I stopped to know if this was enough. ¡°Continue¡± it replied, not declining which means it is at least considering it. ¡°Secondly, you can choose the major planet that I shall live on and if there are any threats deemed worthy enough to put the said planet or a large amount of mortals in danger, I shall be the one to take care of it¡± I replied immediately. This was what made so confident, the planets specially the major ones mean too much to the Overseer and every planet that gets damaged to certain degrees means the Overseer will get weaker. Again, there was silence, this time it was quite a bit longer and I was getting increasing nervous to the point of sweating which by the way has never happened before. This was it, if refused I would go into slumber not knowing when I would awaken again. ¡°Fine I agree with your proposition, taking away your powers that I have to continuously supply means that you are able to freely roam without me having to strain myself and with the power that I gave you when I created you alongside your powerful body you will be able to do your job regardless¡± As I listened to its reply I was almost in tears, I was going to get my freedom that I have always dreamed of. Do I make myself clear?¡± I stiffened up as I heard the most casual threat ever thrown my way and I knew the Overseer was serious so I replied immediately without a thread of hesitation ¡°Yes I understand¡±. ¡°Good are you prepared to leave now?¡± ¡°Yes, I am¡±. Prepared? I have been preparing this for a while, I will not take the risk of the Overseer changing its mind. ¡°Alright, but before you leave I will tell you about the planet and what your task will be¡± ¡°The planet you are going to is ranked by the Gods as within the mid tier. Why I chose this planet is because out of all the planets this one has let corrupt mana fester for a long time and it has taken over an entire continent¡±. I was shocked, normally whenever corrupt mana starts congregating in large portions in a single area the lesser God responsible for the planet would get the mortals to cleanse it, yet it has taken over an entire continent on a Mid tier major planet that is. ¡°The corrupt mana at this point should have already start taking over neighbouring continents however it has stopped due to the wielders of the corrupt mana, the so called corrupted are creating something and it will be extremely strong. Therefore, I want you to take care of it, they will be finished creating it in the next month or two per the mortal time¡± Something was wrong, this type of situation is not my problem. I was summoned for worse situations, in this case the lesser God should be able to take care of it¡­...unless! ¡°Is the thing being created going to be as strong as a lesser God?¡± I asked. Something like this has never happened before. Even a low ranked lesser god would have a quarter of a true gods power. Yet the Overseers reply gave me the answer I needed. ¡°Yes, it is, how strong exactly even I cannot completely tell. However, the current lesser god won¡¯t be able to overcome it, normally the God responsible will send a stronger lesser God but since you brought up your request you will dispose of it and your powers especially in this case is much more suitable than the Gods¡± These stupid Gods and lesser Gods never tend to do there fucking jobs, one of the reasons I hate most Gods. There are only a couple that I like other than that they are all annoying and intolerable assholes. Well whatever it won¡¯t take me long at all to get rid of the ant they are creating and cleansing the continent, afterwards I can enjoy my life. ¡°If you accept and understand then that is all, I will place you at a neighbouring continent where the current lesser God resides, and although it would be good to dispose of the corrupted and the thing they are creating early on, I want you to see what it is so similar incidences do not occur in the future. Now if there are no more questions then I shall teleport you¡± ¡°WAIT¡± I shouted. I almost forgot something very important. ¡°What is it?¡± ¡°I would appreciate it if this time the Gods are not made aware of my situation¡±. If those Gods found out I am roaming around on a planet they might send people to me to gain favours or do something stupid which they do constantly. After a few seconds and what I thought I heard was a sigh from the forever emotionless Overseer, I got my reply. ¡°I Accept, now is there anything else you would like?¡±. Eh? This time I am sure I could feel annoyance from it. Thinking not to aggravate the Overseer any longer ¡°No I am ready¡± and without any further reply I was teleported. Unique Abilities After teleporting I arrived at the top of what seemed to be a rather tall mountain overlooking a forest. The mountain was the tallest as far as I could see and it was covered in snow. Below me was a forest that spanned through the horizon seemingly without end however I could tell with my superior eyesight that in the distance lays a city. As I was at the very top the winds were extremely cold and violent yet it didn¡¯t do anything to me. I looked around breathing and embracing the feeling of the mortal world. Around me in the air soaring through the sky were large Magical Beasts. The only thing I had prepared for my journey was a bag of holding which was filled with things that I thought I might need from the Realm of the Gods and a traditional katana which hung from my waist, I took the blade from a Divine Blacksmith in a hurry. Having stood there for a while, I spread out my unique power however I did so only in a two kilometre radius, why I did this and not simply cover the entirety of the planet was so that I could enjoy the thrill of exploring the planet slowly. As soon as I spread my power I could sense everything that was dense in mana, all the creatures on the mountain and the forest below which was covered by my power was revealed to me. I am unable to use mana, unable to do the fancy things the God¡¯s and all the magus in the universe can do, which fills me with jealousy and envy. My power is something different to mana yet still relates to it. I can sense mana even better than the God¡¯s, yet I am unable to use it. I can use my power and change what it can do with a simple thought. My first ability is its neutral stage where I can sense mana, second is one that I use most frequently and is the ability that I have named Absolute Negation. As the name entails, it can negate all forms of mana which includes the God¡¯s. Even though my body is much more powerful than even the most powerful God¡¯s it is not entirely mana resistant, therefore I made it a habit of covering my body in a lair of my power which is always on negation mode. I looked down at the forest, I don¡¯t have my power of flight nor teleportation therefore I did the next best thing, I jumped. As I fell I thought about what I had sensed, the strongest being on the mountain was a Lesser Dragon. A Lesser Dragon isn¡¯t as rare a True Dragon, they can be found at various places in the Major worlds. This one was a Frost Lesser Dragon, a variant of the water Dragons and a powerful one at that. *BAANG* I landed in a not so elegant way causing a large crater to be formed. The earth rumbled for a few seconds, the Magical Beasts resting on the trees took to the skies as they felt the tremors and the ones on the land started retreating hastily. Getting out of the crater I had formed, I looked around. The large trees that covered the forests were letting in just the right amount of sunlight. The roars and cries of the Magical Beasts could be heard of in the distance. A refreshing and new scent of the forest drifted towards me as I took it all in. I never had the luxury to visit any such places in the Realm of the Gods. As I was taking it all in my peace was disrupted by a loud roar and a tremor that rivalled mine. *BOOOOOMMM* Dust clouds were raised into the air as the Lesser Frost Dragon landed on the ground. As the clouds cleared I could finally see it clearly. It was a Lesser Dragon as I had thought, my mana sensing ability is always accurate. Unlike a True Dragon it did not have four legs but it used its wings as a substitute for its front legs. The colour of its scale was an icy blue which was currently shimmering in the sun. It was around thirty meters long, large for a Lesser Dragon. Also unlike most True Dragons this one didn¡¯t have any horns or spikes coming out making it less imposing and more beautiful, that would be the case at least if it was not currently looking at me with hateful eyes, well I guess I did interrupt its sleep. ¡°Sorry for interrupting your sleep, you can go back now and I¡¯ll be on my way too, no harm done¡± I thought it would be best to leave without causing any problems. Even though Lesser Dragons cannot speak they can still understand and this one apparently was not buying it. As I was about to say something it suddenly charged at me aiming to bite my head off. However, as it got close to one meter of me it froze in place like a statue. ¡°As I told you before go back to your lair where you will be safe, do not make me repeat it again!¡± I said with more power in my voice. The Lesser Dragons whole body was smashed flat onto the ground as I finished speaking. This was the third ability of my unique power which I named Mana Freeze, it does what the name says, it freezes mana. This mainly works on Magical Beasts as they naturally absorb mana into their bones and flesh, not many can sense it however as it is well mixed.Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. The now pitiful Lesser Dragon simply lay there on the ground. I don¡¯t like to kill Magical Beasts because one of the two Gods or Goddesses in this case that I actually like and care about is the Dragon Goddess who rules all the Magical Beasts in the universe. For her I would spare any Magical Beast that I can. I released the Beast and it got back up slowly while trembling uncontrollably. ¡°Haaah¡­. Now you will go back to your lair and not bother me again, nod if you understand¡± I said slowly to make sure it understood which seemed effective as the beast hurriedly nodded. ¡°Alright then scram¡± and without waiting any longer the Beast flew back to the mountain. Turning around towards where the city I had seen was, I started my journey. I was uninterrupted in my journey, mostly due to the crash landing earlier and because the Magical Beasts were driven away by the Lesser Dragons aura. As I was slowly making my way to the city enjoying my new freedom I suddenly stopped and frowned. My senses had picked up on a mana that was extremely vile and on the verge of turning into corrupt, it was at the very edge of my radius. I wonder if this counts as a threat, regardless if it has potential to become corrupted and in a forest with Magical Beasts nonetheless it will spread quick and cause a few problems. I sped off towards where I picked up the mana, arriving a second later in front of a well-hidden cave. There were a few Magical Beasts around who appeared to be guarding the entrance, comparing them to the Lesser Dragons they were weaker but still more powerful than most I had sensed in the forest. Freezing them I entered the cave and almost instantly was hit with the stench of death, due to my extra sensitive nose I could pick up on it even from the entrance. As I walked deeper into the cave the stench only worsened, I expanded my power and focused on where the vile mana was originating from. Following it I found that it was originating from a mortal¡¯s mana core and it was a human at that, it was close to becoming completely corrupt. Arriving at what seemed to be the final room I entered. When I turned the final corner of the cave and entered a large room my eyes widened in shock and disgust. I was created with a strong soul and I have seen death and have face my fair share of vile and evil beings before but I was still shocked after see what laid in front of me. There in front of me were around 20 cages most filled with bones and rotting corpses of human children, the ones that were still alive had children who had broken bones, missing limbs, eyes, ears, some had their faces burnt and cut, all were barely alive. I hurriedly scanned them again and the result shocked me once more, these children were corrupted they had corrupt mana coursing through them, they were far too gone to save. I was cast out of my shocked state by an old, raspy yet loud and angry voice. ¡°YOU!! WHO ARE YOU?!! HOW DID YOU GET PAST THE GUARDS?!¡±, turning around I saw the person responsible for the vile mana that led me here. He was shorter than me with a slightly hunched back, his head was bald and wrinkled but had a few singular strands of hair making him more disgusting looking. His face wrinkled and sagging which was a testament to his old age and he was wearing a plain black robe. ¡°Tch, I don¡¯t know what those idiot Beasts are doing, but you came to the wrong place. Now prepare to die¡± sneered the man. ¡°DARK VORTEX!¡± yelled the old man while lifting both of his hands, palms facing me. As soon as he yelled, a large swirling mass of darkness shot at me from his palms. However, what happened next was that it vanished as soon as it got in contact with me. Looking back at the man, shock and fear was evident on his face as apparently he was quite confident in his attack. ¡°DARK VOR- UGGHHHARRH¡± he attempted to repeat his attack but couldn¡¯t because he was smashed in to the cave wall behind him. My hand which was on his throat lessened its grip, he coughed up a large amount of blood. He looked up slowly only to be met with my eyes looking at him with rage, I asked him ¡°Was it you who did this to those children?¡± even though I already knew the answer I had to find out. ¡°Wh..is.per.. Of..D..es ¨C AHHHRGGH¡± instead of replying the old man tried to cast another spell which earned him another smash, this time on the ground with me still holding onto his throat. Lifting him back up from the ground, I couldn¡¯t be bothered talking to him anymore so I slammed his head down once more turning it in to a bloody paste. ¡°Haaaaaah¡­¡­. this was to be expected from the mortal world but I didn¡¯t expect it so soon, I wonder if the Overseer send me here on purpose¡± I sighed once again and looked at the corpse ¡°You¡¯ll be judged in the Underworld and looking at how vile your mana core was, I expect you to go through torment for a long time before you even get a chance to reincarnate¡±. Finished with the old man I turned around and immediately froze. In my rage, I didn¡¯t check my surroundings and missed something crucial. On what could only be described as the vile old man¡¯s work table was a singular cage, in this cage was a young girl around 12 years old currently glaring hatefully at the headless body of the old man. After a few seconds the girl just collapsed, I rushed over and scanned her and yet again I was shocked. This girl was infected with corrupt mana but what surprised me was that she was fighting back, barely but still fighting. Thinking that she could be saved without any major damage I sent my power through her body focusing on the corrupt mana and turned on Absolute Negation and immediately the corrupt mana disappeared. Already she seemed to be doing better as her breathing and heart rate were not erratic anymore but her body was still in a terrible condition. Bringing out one of the things I had prepared in the little time I had in the Realm of Gods from my bag of holding. It was a large vial filled with a transparent yet sparkling liquid, I fed the girl a drop of it. Almost instantly all her broken bones, cuts and internal damage were healed but she remained unconscious. Looking around the room I sighed, I had things to take care of. Companion Pov ¨C The girl I woke up to find myself on a soft surface covered in a blanket looking up into the sky, it was currently night and the stars were out in all its glory. It was truly beautiful however my star gazing was disrupted by the sudden influx of my memories. I bolted up to my feet, where am I? What happened? The last thing I remember is being in that awful place with that scary and demented old man. My legs were broken and I was infected with whatever that thing was, all I know is that it caused me incredible amount of pain. Wait! My legs! Looking down I found my eyes widening as I couldn¡¯t believe what had happened, my legs and all my injuries were all healed without any scars and more importantly I felt stronger than I ever had. I didn¡¯t even have time to care about the fact that I was naked. Digging through my memories I tried to find out what had happened. I remember being in the cage trying to fight whatever that old man had infected me with when I saw that man! He came in and looked around in shock, well I guess anyone would be if they saw what was going on. After that the two of them fought or more like the old man got his ass kicked, I don¡¯t understand how the magic attack had no effect on him. Well after that, the man spoke something that I was simply too exhausted to even understand and killed that hateful bastard, afterwards I simply blacked out and woke up here¡­¡­ where is here? Looking around I saw a small lake and surrounding it in every direction were trees, I assume we are still in the forest. Observing the surroundings, I came to a stop when I saw the same man sitting by a fire that had fish roasting on sticks surrounding it. He turned around as he seemed to have noticed me. He looked to be around 18 ¨C 20 years of age, I haven¡¯t seen many males but from the few I have he is the most handsome one. He had white hair on the shorter side but still able to cover his forehead which swayed in the night wind, the feature that stood out most was his eyes, they were white too but with a golden tint, it was something new to me and it was strangely mesmerizing. He was wearing a white traditional robe which was tied up in the middle with a black belt, even more strange as I have not seen many wearing such clothing, on his side was a sword and a small bag. He reached into his bag and brought out what looked like a man¡¯s shirt and threw it at me which effectively broke me out of my stupor. ¡°Put it on¡± he said while looking away and that¡¯s when I came to the realization that I was naked in front of a man. I felt my face go red as I hurriedly put the shirt on which was large enough to reach my knee and just stood there unaware of how to proceed. POV ¨C MC I looked up at the girl who was standing there looking at the ground with a red face. She was only about 4.8 ft. tall which is normal for a girl her age, she had brown hair that fell her back and brown eyes, although she was young she was already quite beautiful and will become even more so in the future. *Rumble* I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard a rumbling, looking around to find the source I found nothing but when I looked at the girl again I saw her face turn even more red and embarrassment clear on her face. ¡°You must be hungry, come here, these fish are for you¡± I said trying to express the most warm and welcoming smile I could. She hesitated only for a few seconds then made her way over without saying anything and grabbed a fish and started to devour it in hurried manner like someone who hasn¡¯t eaten for years. She must have been very hungry, that old fucker must have not given her anything to eat. Still, I expected her to be crying and afraid yet she seems to be fine, must be due to her race, the same which gave her the ability to fight back against the corrupt mana. After she devoured all of the fish that I had prepared she seemed to be satisfied and she had a smile on her face. Now was probably the best time to get her to know her. ¡°What¡¯s your name?¡± my voice itself made her stiffen up as she must have forgotten that I was here while she ate. I could see that she was hesitated, deciding if she could trust me enough to talk, after a while though she finally spoke up. ¡°Nissa ¡­.. who¡­. are¡­ you?¡± she replied albeit timidly. I could tell she was frightened of me. ¡°Ah! How rude of me, my name is Matzal. Sorry for not introducing myself first¡± I said sounding as friendly as I could be. Silence ensured as neither she or I knew how to continue, however she was silently repeating my name over and over getting the feel of it. The awkwardness continued for a couple of minutes after which she gathered her courage to speak. ¡°Where are we and how did we get here and why¡­why was I naked?¡± she practically whispered the last question, however I could hear it. ¡°Well we are at a lake not too far from where I found you, I brought you here after I took care of all the things at the cave. As to why you¡¯re naked, well I had to clean you up in the river to see if you had any injuries left and because you were very dirty¡± as I explained I was able to witness a range of expressions ranging from gratitude for the first part and anger and embarrassment at the last. ¡°You¡­You¡­.You..saw me naked and YOU TO¡­TOUCHED ME TOO?!!¡± I was surprised as she got louder and louder until at the end she was standing up. Her face returned to being red due to the mixture of emotions. Without saying anything but still panting lightly she got up and sat next to me again, the silence was a little creepy but it was broken when she started sobbing which soon turned into crying and bawling. ¡°ARE YOU ALRIGHT?! That should have healed you, are you still hurt? Here have some more¡± panicking I brought out the vial preparing to give her another drop, hoping it would make her stop but it didn¡¯t, she kept continuing to cry while I sat there without knowing what to do. ¡°*Sob*¡­..than¡­*Sob*¡­Thank..ah¡­you¡­.*Sob*¡± Eh? Did she just thank me? Did the corrupt mana mess with her head? Looks like I heard correctly. Guess she had hidden the need to cry and she just let everything out now, good to know that she is still a normal 12 year old or as normal as she can be, mortals are very fragile after all. It was a surprise that she could survive for so long. Having little to no knowledge what to do in these situations I thought the best idea would be to hug the crying girl, which apparently wasn¡¯t such a good idea as she started crying again. NOW WHAT DID I DO WRONG?! I tried releasing the girl but surprisingly she had her hands around me and held me with strength a human her age wouldn¡¯t have. After waiting for almost 10 minutes she finally let go of me, eyes still red and face wet but she had stopped crying. ¡°You should go to sleep Nissa, you didn¡¯t sleep for long, I know how you Mor-¡­. girls need your sleep¡± I suggested, almost fucking up in the process, the girl really did look tired though. She simply nodded and returned to the bed I had set up for her with the items from my bag. She fell asleep pretty much as soon as she laid down. In the morning, I decided to it would be best to cook food, knowing how mortals need to eat to survive I found a rabbit nearby with my mana, froze it and then brought it to me. I don¡¯t know too much about skinning and cooking but I have seen others do it before so I am not completely clueless. Things like this really do make me jealous of the Gods, simply because they have a plethora of abilities where they would not have to worry about skinning a rabbit if they were in my position. Stopping my complaining before it gets out of hand I started cooking. Nissa must have smelled the roasting rabbit as she shyly poked her head out of her blanket and looked up to see where the smell was coming from. I saw her almost drooling and beckoned her over, to which she complied although slowly, I assumed she was still a bit taken back by all the recent happenings. However, this didn¡¯t stop her from once again devouring her food, thankfully the rabbit was quite large otherwise it might not have been enough. Satisfied with her food she sat rubbing her stomach in an unladylike manner again forgetting that I was there at all. My cough caught her attention as her face once again went red. ¡°You sure eat a lot, but I guess that¡¯s reasonable considering you¡¯re an Amazonian¡± The colour drained off her face and she went extremely pale, shock and fear were plainly written on her face. She hurriedly started backing away from me all the while looking at me in fear, I was extremely confused as to why she was acting this way. ¡°How¡­di..dddii¡­did ..you¡­know¡± she asked in the same afraid way as she spoke last night. Still confused I asked ¡°Know what?¡± ¡°YOU¡¯RE NOT GOING TO FOOL ME, ARE YOU HERE TO TAKE ME AWAY TOO, LIKE THE OTHERS DID? ARE YOU?!!!¡± she was panting heavily from all that screaming while I was trying to make sense of her outburst. Was she taken away from her tribe, wait did that man know she was an Amazonian, is that why she was there. Amazonians are very protective of each other yet this one was here being subjected to what I believe were tests using corrupt mana. Amazonians are known for their strength and regenerative capabilities, they are like monsters as they can absorb mana to give them abnormal strength however this power comes at a cost of never being able to have any elemental affinities. They are even better than monsters in absorbing mana, that¡¯s the only way I found out she was different than normal mortals. ¡°Wait Nissa, I never came to take you away. I have a special power that allows me to see things normal people can¡¯t that¡¯s why I knew you were what you are¡± I urged but she was still apprehensive. ¡°If I wanted to harm you, why would I have saved you and healed you up, calm down Nissa and think¡± this got her to calm down a little and she did start thinking, thankfully unlike normal 12 year old¡¯s she is quite smart so she started to understand and her anger cooled. However she was still on guard as she did not trust me completely. ¡°Come sit down, I will personally take you back to your home so don¡¯t worry¡± I smiled at her. She approached me carefully and sat further away than she did before while facing me. ¡°Why would you do that for someone you don¡¯t even know?¡± she asked sceptically, she truly was smart for her age. ¡°Hmmm, because I am new here, I want to go on an adventure through the entirety of this planet and enjoy all that it has to offer. She remained quiet after that answer, I am not an expert on judging emotions but I am not bad at it either and right now I could tell she was trying to make a hard decision. After a long time she finally spoke. ¡°Will you take me with you?¡± ¡°Of course, I didn¡¯t I say that I would drop yo ¨C ¡± ¡°NO, no I mean I don¡¯t want to go home, I want to travel the world with you¡± ¡°You don¡¯t want to go home? It could get boring if I was alone and she might be interesting to have around, also there¡¯s the abnormality in her which was caused by the corrupt mana, I will have to monitor that too. ¡°Are you sure you want to come with me, it will be dangerous, and whatever problem you have with your tribe, I am sure I could fix it. So, what will it be?¡± I don¡¯t want to force her into coming with me and I will definitely take her home and solve whatever problems she has simply because I saved her which kind of makes me responsible. Surprisingly she answered without much hesitation ¡°I want to go with you. About my tribe, even if I do believe you can do what you say I still feel like they must have moved on and I¡¯ll just make them uncomfortable¡±. Corrupt mana is quite chaotic and causes a lot of abnormalities, did it cause her to become smarter or is it because of her race. ¡°Alright then you can come with me, of course I will protect you but you must become stronger so that I don¡¯t always have to babysit you, do you understand?¡± I asked trying to be as stern as possible. It was unnecessary for her to get stronger because she¡¯s with me but it is best for her to not become dependent on me and of course I will help her. ¡°Yes, I understand, I will definitely become stronger!¡± it was a cute site seeing her try to be serious. ¡°Good, we will leave soon so get ready¡±. I need to make sure to get her some clothes, luckily that old bastard was filthy rich. ¡°Yes!¡± she cheerily replied. Skyfallow POV - ??? ¡°Are the men ready to go?¡± I asked ¡°Yes Captain¡± replied one of the Knights under my command for this mission. ¡°Let¡¯s move out then¡± ¡°Yes Captain!¡± the 15 Knights responded and we headed off. In this small but well trained unit, alongside the knights are five Rank 7 Mages led by Clara Wharnock a prodigy in Magic, she herself being a Rank 7 mage at the age of 25. Her father is a Commander General of the Empire, the highest military rank that is attainable. She jumped at the chance of going on this mission as she was told by her father that she lacked real experience in the field. Along with being a prodigy in magic she is also extremely beautiful, someone like her you would expect to see with other noble women doing whatever they are supposed do, yet she is here out in the field where danger is ever so prevalent. I observed her as she rode alongside me, she had raven black hair that is currently tied up in a ponytail for lack of restriction, she has deep blue eyes and is wearing blue high quality robes designed for Mages. Although she is better than most there is still a degree of arrogance to her which was to be expected as she has been hailed a prodigy ever since she was young. ¡°Captain Pearson, do we know the exact location of the criminal?¡± Clara asked. This small units mission is to capture a criminal named Hagon, dead or alive. Hagon has been a wanted criminal for a while, he¡¯s a Mage who uses the darkness element and is reported to be of Rank 7 himself. He has been reported for a list of vile crimes and the recent one is the worst of them yet. Reports have said that he has kidnapped young children and has been conducting all sorts of sickening tests on them. ¡°Yes, a lucky witness has reported to have seen him entering a hidden cave on a small mountain within the Elderwood Forest¡± ¡°The Elderwood Forest, that place is dense with Magical Beasts. Also, isn¡¯t that the territory of the Lormal the Lesser Frost Dragon?¡± ¡°Yes, it is, but don¡¯t worry Lormal won¡¯t attack us since I have the badge that signifies we are from the Empire, since it releases mana that Lormal is familiar with. Also, the other Magical Beasts that you talked about are not that strong where we are heading too¡± My answer seemed to be satisfactory as she stopped talking and we continued to the Forest. After a few hours of riding we arrived at the entrance to the forest, we had left the capital city of the Empire early to finish this on the same day so currently there was still a couple of hours till sun down and our destination was only an hour away by riding, as we were about to head inside the forest something stopped us. Two individuals stepped out from the forest, one was a young man who looked to be in his late teens while the other was a young girl who was in her early teens. They were talking and laughing as they exited the forest, once they noticed us they stopped talking and gave us a short glance but otherwise kept walking towards the capital city of the Empire. We stopped for a while before I decided to ignore them and keep moving as I wanted to finish this quickly. As we entered the forest I turned to look at Clara who had a confused look on her face. ¡°What¡¯s wrong Miss Clara¡± ¡°Hmmm, the two from earlier were interesting¡± This perked my interest ¡°Oh? How so?¡± ¡°Earlier when I sent my own mana to investigate the two I could feel my mana simply disappear as it came in contact with them¡± Although I am not a Mage myself I am not ignorant to mana, most warriors such as myself can sense and use mana to a certain extent, mostly to strength our body and weapons. You would need at least one elemental affinity to become a Mage though. If she can¡¯t find out about a person¡¯s mana by using her own to sense it, it would simply mean that person is a higher rank than her but in this case, she said that it disappeared altogether. ¡°Disappear?¡± I asked once more to confirm. ¡°Yes, it never happened to me before, it was a weird feeling. I kept on feeding mana yet it continued to disappear¡± This would usually be investigated further but I did not sense any ill intent from the duo and since we must capture this Hagon, I thought it would be best to leave it for now. ¡°Captain we have arrived¡± a Knight stopped me and pointed towards an open cave on a mountain side. ¡°This isn¡¯t hidden at all, where are the vines, boulder or at least something that gives it some semblance to being hidden? Also, Captain didn¡¯t you say that Hagon keeps Magical Beasts as guards, this place seems deserted¡± Clara commented seemingly annoyed. It was indeed deserted and the place was roughened up and some parts also seemed scorched. This was weird, either Hagon had escaped or something else had taken place here. ¡°Five of you come with me, Miss Clara you come as well. The rest stay alert and guard the area¡± I ordered and quickly my men arranged themselves. I commanded the five to follow while Clara joined me up ahead. It was eerily quiet as we entered the cave. ¡°Did you not sense anything with your mana¡± I questioned Clara ¡°No, actually there seems to be no external mana, only the one normally present in the atmosphere¡± That¡¯s discouraging, if Hagon was here Clara should have been able to sense him unless he had an artefact which blocked her out or was a much higher rank. We continued onward and the scene worsened, now all around the cave walls were burnt, however when I asked Clara she told me that it was not done with mana. Hurrying forwards, we turned the last bend but immediately stopped.The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. The Knights, Clara and I were all wide eyed, instead of the cave opening to a large room, all we saw were rocks stacked upon each other filling up the entire room. ¡°What the heck is this? It seems like the mountain collapsed but only on this on room, even though things like this happens, it still doesn¡¯t seem natural, does it?¡± Clara asked ¡°No its suspicious, although there was no mana used therefore indicating that it was a natural event, there still seems something wrong about this whole thing. Also can¡¯t you all smell it? It¡¯s lessened most likely due to the burnt smell masking it a bit but it smells like death¡± As I finished talking the others fell quiet, my mind was racing, trying to figure out what or more like who could have caused this. This whole thing would be easy for a mage to do, however Clara says that there is no external mana present here therefore ruling out the possibility of a mage. As we walked back out of the cave I kept on pondering, no mana, who could do this besides a Mage. A strong warrior whose body strength is enough to collapse a mountain? When I finally got back to my horse I stopped¡­¡­¡­¡­ No mana? ¡°Miss Clara, do you happened to remember what that man looked like?¡± I asked hinting at something, from all my life experience I could tell something was not right about that man and how they came out of the forest without any injuries is suspicious in its own right. She seemed confused at first but she seemed to have understood the meaning behind my sudden question. ¡°Yes, Mages have an extremely good memory, I won¡¯t be able to forget him¡± ¡°Alright, men hurry up we are leaving for the capital¡± POV ¨C Matzal As Nissa and I were walking to the city I was thinking about what happened back when we first exited the forest. I had sensed the Mages and Knights before we reached near as my power is always present however I simply didn¡¯t make anything of it. Once we exited, I only acknowledged them with a glance and Nissa also kept quiet, the one thing that slightly bothered me was the mage who had decided to send her mana over to investigate me however as soon as it touched the lair of my power covering me, it was obviously negated. This only encouraged her curiosity therefore I walked away and thankfully they didn¡¯t follow, however I feel like she might come back for me and at least at the early stages of my journey I didn¡¯t want to make myself known if I could help it. We still had around 8 hours of walking till we reached the city, not wanting to get caught I decided to speed up our journey. I picked up an unaware Nissa into my arms which caused her to be confused then she started to blush profusely. ¡°Big brother Matzal! What are you doing?! Put me down! Put me down now!¡± she had started calling me big brother after we left this morning as she didn¡¯t feel calling me by my name was appropriate. I of course didn¡¯t mind, I never had any siblings so it would be fun to enjoy this foreign feeling. ¡°It will get dark by the time we get to the city so I am going to speed it up a bit, hold on tight¡±. Nissa, although red and confused still snuggled up to my chest and grabbed me tightly. ¡°Alright here we go¡± with that said, I sped off into the distance I had to slow down my speed dramatically because if I went too fast Nissa wouldn¡¯t be able to cope with it. We still managed to arrive in half an hour rather than the 8, Nissa had managed to open her eyes and look for a moment and was obviously shocked at the speed were going at. We stopped a bit before the city gates so that we don¡¯t draw too much attention and I put Nissa down. ¡°Big brother Matzal next time tell me when you are going to do something like that before picking me up!¡± Nissa tried glaring at me but her smile said she enjoyed the ride. I just laughed it off as we continued towards the city gates. When we reached the city gates which were accompanied by towering 20 meter tall walls making them look quite imposing, there was quite a large line. Even though I could enter the city easily without the guards knowing, I still decided against it. I have seen Mortals worlds before however due to my ¡®job¡¯ I had to view them from outside, so I have not stepped foot on any planets before this. Although the Realm of Gods is called as such it is still home to a lot of different beings and not simply Gods. Therefore, it has similarities to Mortal worlds only they are much grander. My visits to the cities of the Realm of Gods have been short lived as I couldn¡¯t fool the Overseer for a long period of time. As I was daydreaming I felt a tugging on the sleeve of my robe, looking down Nissa was glaring at me. ¡°What is it?¡± ¡°I have been calling you for so long yet you haven¡¯t even noticed¡± she pouted. ¡°Sorry, I was thinking about something, what did you want¡± I smiled at her which in turn caused her to smile too. I don¡¯t know why I am being the way I am when it comes to her. Maybe it¡¯s due to what had happened to her before. I keep feeling my rage and dislike of the Gods increase every time I am awakened, they are given incredible powers, are immortal and aside from myself who would dare defy them, yet they continue to neglect their jobs. The continent taken over by the corrupt mana has already killed many mortals and would kill more if I was not to intervene. Maybe I should teach the Lesser God responsible for this planet a lesson, I was told they reside in this continent by the Overseer. ¡°Big brother Matzal, what are we going to be doing in this city?¡±. Nissa looked up at me, with curious eyes. She is weird, sometimes she seems like a perfectly normal girl while other times she completely changes. I don¡¯t know, maybe I just can¡¯t understand people well enough yet. ¡°I am not completely sure, maybe eat from all the restaurants, visit all the famous places and see what other fun things this place has to offer¡± I didn¡¯t have to continue as she was already drooling and gazing absentmindedly when I talked about eating. With a sigh, I nudge her shoulder to bring her out of her dream like state, and like always she starts going red and looks away. Sigh, I will never be able to understand others. While we were in the line I was investigating everyone else, however none of these people were more powerful than the Knights and those mages I had seen earlier. Most of them were in carriages while some were on foot, some of the higher quality carriages were guarded by mercenaries and most of the travellers on foot had weapons on them. I only happened to find a few with elemental affinities. We had arrived to the front rather quickly and as it was our turn we walked towards the guard who inspected us. ¡°What¡¯s your names and what business do you have in the city of Skyfallow?¡± the guard asked while another held a pen and book waiting to record my answers. ¡°My name is Matzal and hers is Nissa¡± I decided to give my real name because it will most likely be lost in the records regardless ¡°We are here just to visit¡±. The guard looked me up and down stopping on the katana that hung on my waist, ¡°Visit huh? Alright, let me warn you that there are sever penalties if you kill within the city or cause any other trouble, this is the Capital of the Empire of Cindrelth, nothing will be tolerated here. Do you understand?¡± he asked while attempting to look threatening. Holding back a laugh I replied ¡°Yes, I understand¡±, I have gotten threats from arrogant Gods before and many have cursed me but I have never been threatened by a Mortal. Ah¡­ the Mortal World will indeed be quite fun. ¡°Alright, what¡¯s in that bag of yours?¡± he asked while looking at my bag of holding. ¡°Just a few coins for my travels¡± I replied The guard looked at me for a moment then asked to see it. As i was about to give it i realized something, crap I forgot that anyone can use the bag of holding. I need to find an escape route, I can¡¯t let anyone go through my bag. Looking around at other travellers trying to find a way out, my eyes fell upon a fat man sitting on a decent sized caravan with a bag similar in size and colour to mine. I slowly had a smile creeping up on my face, what luck! ¡°Sure, here you go¡± I took mybag and handed it to him. He looked inside and brought out some copper, silver and a couple of gold coins, he looked back at me for a few seconds then returned my bag. ¡°You¡¯re free to go. Next!¡± I took my bag and started walking towards the gate. As we were walking Nissa was pulling on my sleeve again, I looked at her with a questioning gaze to which she replied. ¡°I have seen you pull out more than just coins from that bag before, why was the guard not able to¡± ¡°Hehe, that¡¯s a secret¡± Cindrelth The bustling life of the city was dying out as we entered, it was going to be night soon so shops were closing and the people were returning to their homes. Skyfallow City was situated at the corner of the continent which I found odd. Even though I don''t have a extensive knowledge of mortal realms, I am not ignorant. Usually the place where the Royal family resides would be nearer to the middle of the continent so they were well guarded from attacks from the neighbouring continents. However, I quickly figured out that since the Lesser God resided here as well, if any of the neighbours were to attack they would only be going towards their doom. Although God¡¯s and Lesser Gods cannot directly interfere and kill Mortals, they can guide them and help them to a certain extent. Since Nissa was getting hungry and we needed a place to stay, I decided to look for someone for directions. Quickly locating a middle age woman who was closing her shop for the day I approached her. ¡°Excuse me, can you point me to where we could find a place to stay?¡± The woman turned around to look at me and after inspecting me for a bit she answered. ¡°Are you looking for a cheap place or one of those fancy places?¡± I thought about it for a moment, too cheap wouldn¡¯t be good and too fancy would just attract attention. ¡°Do you have a recommendation?¡± She thought on it for a while then answered ¡°Well there¡¯s a pretty famous inn at the centre of the city, it¡¯ll take you a while but it¡¯s one of the best and most famous ones. The name is The Dragons Inn¡± ¡°Once you¡¯re at the city square, turn left and it¡¯ll be there, you can¡¯t miss it¡± ¡°The Dragons Inn huh? Alright I got it, thank you¡± I turned around to walk away when the woman called me back. ¡°Since you¡¯re obviously new here you¡¯d easily get lost so you should probably buy a map, lucky for you I sell it at my shop for only 1 silver¡± she flashed me a smile. ¡°Oh! Thanks, that¡¯ll be helpful, here¡¯s the money¡± I said as a took it out of my bag. Her smile grew wider and she ran inside for a few seconds then came back and handed me the map. I took the map and headed towards the inn. It took around an hour just to get to the city centre and the sun was almost completely set when we arrived at the inn. Once we entered we were hit with the smell of freshly cooked food and the sounds of people talking. Asking for the recommendation paid off as this place was not like some of the other inns we passed where there were drunken men all around, this place was more sophisticated yet not too overly fancy. Locating what seemed to be the service counter I approached it. Since it was dinner time and people were flooding in, the workers were quite busy however thankfully there seemed to be someone manning the counter. The person behind was a young girl with blonde hair tied up in a ponytail loonking professional, she had blue eyes and looked to be about 18 years old. She was wearing a waitress outfit and once she saw me approach she gave me a smile and I smiled back. ¡°HI, I am looking for a room¡± I said to her but she didn¡¯t reply and kept looking at my face at my eyes in a dreamy state, after waiting for a good minute I had enough so I brought my hand up and clicked my middle and thumb fingers together in order to get her attention however I didn¡¯t adjust my strength correctly and the sound that came reverberated throughout the whole lobby/dining area causing everyone to look at me. However not bothering with that as the girl too was brought out of her stupor. Her face went red but still managed to compose herself ¡°A-ah, sorry sir, what can I help you with¡± ¡±I said I need a room with two beds¡± I said looking down at Nissa who was looking at other people¡¯s food with sparkling eyes and drool coming out of her mouth. ¡°Yes sir, the room will cost 12 silvers a night, is that okay?¡± ¡°Yes, that¡¯s fine¡± the old man was surprisingly quite rich so money wasn¡¯t an immediate issue. ¡°Breakfast and dinner are included, would you like to have dinner now?¡± ¡°Yes, just give me three servings of your best dish¡± looking around I knew that Nissa would need two servings just to fill up, the way she swallowed her food last time. While waiting for our food I was listening to the various conversations happening hoping to hear about something exciting going on in the city. Some of the conversations were about gossips, rumours and non-interesting things however most of them were talking about some sort of event that was taking place in the day after tomorrow. ¡°Yeah I heard that many Warriors and Mages from all over will be coming to take part in the tournament, even the royalty will be coming!¡± ¡°Offcourse they would?! Who wouldn¡¯t want the rewards that are being offered?¡± ¡°To think that the Royal Family prepared such a large tournament just to find a husband for the Princess¡± ¡°You ignorant fool! Don¡¯t you even know why it is so important to find the strongest husband for the Royal Princess¡± ¡°You should at least know that the ancestor of the royal family is a Dragon. Do you really think that they would simply let a weakling be married to someone who possess the bloodline of a Dragon¡± ¡°AH! So that¡¯s why this is such a huge event¡± ¡°Do you think that Cindrelth the Dragon herself would make an appearance?¡± ¡°Maybe, there are rumours going around that she will be there however no one knows for sure, I believe that she would as the Royal Princess is the rumoured to be the strongest and with the most potential amongst all the descendants of the Royal Family¡± As the conversation died down, a couple of things were quite surprising to me. Firstly if I heard correctly the people talking had mentioned an actual Dragon not a Lesser Dragon. True Dragons though extremely powerful in both magic and bodily strength, they are quite rare and most are reclusive and usually stay amongst the monsters. In fact, most True Dragons would be found on the planets that are in the domain of the Dragon Goddess. Most True Dragons would never mingle with humans much less give their blood away. Why do I have a feeling that this is related to the Lesser God? I will go take a look at this tournament, who knows maybe even that Lesser God will show up. Which would be quite interesting. All in all, at least it explains the name of this Inn. After a while the waitress brought us our food which seemed to be some type of glazed meat alongside some vegetable and bread. Thoroughly searching the meal with my power, I found out that the meat had retained some of its mana. ¡°What type of meat is it?¡± I asked the waitress ¡°It¡¯s our special for the day, Hellfire Boar meat¡± ¡°I hope you enjoy it sir, now if you excuse me¡± said the waitress after which she left. Turning around I saw Nissa had already finished half of her first servings and was currently working on the rest. Looking back at what will be my first actual meal in the Mortal world, I dug in and it was magnificent. Although I have had food in the Realm of Gods, there was something about this Mortal made food that was different and indescribable. Without even knowing it, I had finished off my food and it seemed that Nissa had apparently finished hers too. Not feeling satisfied I turned to Nissa ¡°Hey, do you want more?¡± I asked to which she furiously nodded, looks like not even two servings are enough for her. Calling the waitress over I ordered another 3 servings which Nissa and I collectively devoured. After we were satisfied we went up to our room. The room was simple with two beds at each end of the room, however it was quite luxurious from the furniture to the blanket on the bed, it even had a separate bathing room which was a pleasant surprise. Speaking of bathing I looked at Nissa and realized that she was wearing that same old shirt I had given her earlier throughout the day, it must have been uncomfortable for her. Why hadn¡¯t she said anything? Right, tomorrow morning I will get her some clothes. ¡°Nissa do you have anything you wish to do?¡± ¡°Ummm¡­. I would like to get something new to wear¡± she said while grabbing the shirt looking down and turning her body left and right. ¡°Hahahaha, yes I was planning on doing that first thing tomorrow, is there anything else you had in mind?¡± She thought for a moment but shook her head. Hmmm, even though I have a map, it would be best to get someone to guide us through the city. I wonder if that blonde waitress would be willing. ¡°Nissa I am going downstairs for a bit so you should stay here and have a bath, okay?¡± ¡°Where are you going? Can¡¯t I come with you?¡± she asked with a worried look. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, I won¡¯t be leaving, I am just going downstairs to take care of something, I¡¯ll be back soon, alright?¡± ¡°Alright¡­.¡± she replied though reluctantly I left Nissa to have a bath while I went to look for the girl. As I came downstairs the diner area was quite full but I saw the girl was currently at the counter, standing looking alert. When she saw me approach she tensed up a bit but still greeted me. ¡°Hello sir, is there something not to your liking?¡± ¡°No everything¡¯s fine, I was just wondering if you are busy tomorrow¡± ¡°Eh? Wh¡­what do you mean?¡± her cheeks started turning bit red. ¡°I thought since we were knew here, maybe you could show us around, I am willing to pay if you¡¯d like¡± ¡°A-ah¡­Oh¡­so that¡¯s what you meant¡± she whispered. ¡°What did you think I meant?¡± I asked with a confuse face. ¡°Ah! DDDD..ont worry about it and about tomorrow I can take the day off so sure I will do it!¡± ¡°Great, then see you tomorrow and oh you should come have breakfast with us¡± ¡°Breakfast.. with you¡­ umm yes I would be delighted too¡± she said smiling at me. Smiling back at her and saying bye I went back to my room. Nissa had finished her rather quick bath and had fallen asleep on her bed in the same shirt. Although the shirt was made by the materials only found in the Realm of Gods and would protect her from every and all attacks, it was simply way too large for her. Scanning her with my power once again, I found nothing wrong with her except for the abnormality. It was growing, all I had to do was wait and see if it benefits her or harms her. If it does harm her I¡¯ll contain it and destroy it. All this time I have had my power cover Nissa in negation so nobody could find her so she hasn¡¯t been absorbing mana but since she has taken three drops of the Divine Life Potion I gave her, she has been slowly absorbing the mana remaining from that and it has already increased her strength by at least 10 folds. Currently she most likely knows that she has gotten stronger but not by how much. It would be fun to find out. Even though I have slumbered enough and do not need to go to sleep, I would be bored without anything to do so I reluctantly went to sleep. Gods and Goddesses POV ¨C Cindrelth ¡°Big sis Amara, why do we have to do all this useless stuff aren¡¯t we already prepared for everything we planned?¡± I asked my ¡®sister¡¯ who is sitting facing me whilst indulging in wine, we are currently in my ''lair'' which is more like a small palace located in the mountains near Skyfallow City. Big sis isn¡¯t truly my sister as I am a Dragon however we have been together for a long time so we consider each other sisters. Although I have lived for thousands of years I am still much younger than her. This was to be expected since she is a God, although just a Lesser one but still a God nonetheless. ¡°Didn¡¯t I tell you before why we need to wait a bit more, and besides we both aren¡¯t going anywhere and this planet isn¡¯t either so just relax for a while¡± ¡°Yes, but why did you tell me to prepare this tournament that¡¯s held tomorrow?¡± ¡°You should know more than me that out of all your descendants she has inherited the largest amount of Dragon blood and is going to be the most powerful. So, it is important that we find her suitable husband to create the strongest of children¡± ¡°Yes of course I know but even without that we should be able to take over the other continents, with my other descendants and myself, there shouldn¡¯t be many difficulties¡± ¡°Haaaaah¡­.. don¡¯t underestimate the other continents, they have many powerful beings that although aren¡¯t as powerful as you, they would still become a problem if not taken seriously.¡± ¡°Not to mention the other Dragon who is more powerful than you, and he resides on a continent that only has Magical Beasts. That continent is already a lost cause, we can¡¯t do anything about it¡± ¡°But big sis can¡¯t you kill him yourself and we could take over it afterwards, I mean after he dies the monsters will have to accept me as their leader¡± ¡°Yeah I could do that¡± big sis replied to which I immediately brightened up however¡­ ¡°Yeah, I could kill him easily, however I would have to die shortly afterwards¡± I unconsciously gulped after I heard that, a Lesser God dying isn¡¯t anything to joke about. I gathered my courage to ask ¡°Why would you die?¡± this earned me another sigh as big sis took a sip of her wine. ¡°I haven¡¯t told you enough about God¡¯s other than Lady Aquira, the Goddess of water and my creator. Even though you are a water Dragon, you would still be under her domain.¡± ¡°Now what¡¯s more important is that she is a Dragon, that makes you her descendant. All of this you already know. However, what you don¡¯t know is that she is linked to all Magical Beasts, she can feel them and she knows where they are. Of course, the countless weak Magical Beasts don¡¯t have much of a connection to her but the stronger ones have a much stronger connection¡± taking another sip of her wine she continued. ¡°Now obviously, the strongest connection she would have would be you Dragons. She is your ancestor and you have descended from her. Adding the fact that Dragons are extremely rare throughout the countless planets, this obviously makes her protective of them¡± ¡°Now what do you think will happen when a Dragon dies unjustly at the hand of a Lesser Goddess?¡± she asked however without me replying she already gave the answer. ¡°She will send one her people to investigate and once it is found out, the Lesser Goddess will be hunted and killed.¡± ¡°But wouldn¡¯t Goddess Aquira protect her Lesser Gods?¡± I hurriedly asked to which she chuckled. ¡°Hahaha, you think Lady Aquira will go out of her way to protect me, I am only a low ranked Lesser Goddess, I can be replaced. Besides. even if Lady Aquira wished to protect me she is not able to¡± ¡°Why is that?¡± ¡°Because the Dragon Goddess is one of the three top strongest out of all the Gods and Goddesses, who would be able to stop her? If lady Aquira tried, she would only get injured in the process¡± Silence ensured as I sat the contemplating what I had just heard. After a while big sis spoke again. ¡°Now do you understand why I can¡¯t kill the Dragon without dying myself?¡± ¡°Yes, I understand but¡­.¡± ¡°What is it?¡± ¡°Ummm, who are the other two?¡± ¡°What?¡± ¡°Who are the other two you mention were the strongest?¡± She became quiet after my question however soon she started laughing. ¡°Pfft, HAHAHAHAHA, my dear sister after all I said, that is what you wish to know?¡± she enquired with an amused face to which I just nodded. ¡°Hahaha, very well. The two others are the God of Life and the Goddess of Death, don¡¯t bother asking me why those three are the strongest even I do not completely know¡± Again, it was quiet for a while but I couldn¡¯t hold in my curiosity. As I was sneaking glances, big sis had noticed so she asked what I wished to know. ¡°Amongst those three, who sits at the top?¡± ¡°Hmmm, no one knows, not even the three of them¡± ¡°What? How is that possible¡± ¡°Well the only way to know is for them to battle to determine a victor however if those three were to fight it would end up in severely destroying the Mortal planets and the Realm of Gods¡± ¡°WHAT?! WHY?!¡± She sighed but still answered ¡°Ah you have always been a curious Dragon.¡± ¡°Alright listen closely I am not repeating myself. Gods and Goddess all have ¡®laws¡¯ that they governed, for example Lady Aquira governs over water, you can say everything water is related to her, the oceans, the lakes, rivers and even the rain is her territory¡±If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. ¡°Now if Lady Aquira was to get severely injured it would mean that the very law that she governs will be in disorder. What does this mean? It means that all the things related to water will become chaotic, it will cause mass destruction in the Mortal worlds, the Realm of Gods would be better off but there would still be some destruction¡± ¡°So do you understand what I am trying to say to you? What would happen when the God and Goddesses who govern over Life, Death and Magical beasts get injured?¡± she questioned. I didn¡¯t have to think for too long as my mouth blurted out the answer in my head subconsciously, ¡°The entire Mortal world and the Realm of Gods would face destruction¡­..¡± ¡°Exactly¡­¡± big sis said as we both went quiet. We were both quiet for a good 10 minutes before big sis spoke up again. ¡°Don¡¯t worry about it CIndrelth, they won¡¯t fight each other. If they do, then that would mean that He will arrive and if He were to awaken¡­.¡± she said that last part shivering and fear was clear on her face. ¡°He, who is He?¡± ¡°Huh? Oh, forget about what I just said, I blurted out something I shouldn¡¯t have¡± Although she said that, I still couldn¡¯t get it out of my head. He? Who is He? Someone who could evoke fear in big sis. I kept looking at big sis hoping she would give answers however she was ignoring me entirely. Not one to give up, I got up and started moving around to make her look at me. ¡°Big sis¡± ¡°Big sis look at me¡± ¡°Big sis who is He¡± ¡°Tell me, tell me, tell me¡± As the time went on the Lesser Goddess got increasingly annoyed till she snapped. ¡°STOP YOU LITTLE BRAT!¡± she shouted, stopping me from making faces at her. ¡°You¡¯re a Dragon, one who has lived for a fairly long time yet¡­¡­haaaa¡­.yet you still act like a brat¡± ¡°Hehe big sis you know that I am only like this around you, I have a reputation to uphold as an old and powerful Dragon¡± She just looked at me repeatedly sighing. ¡°All the things I have told you are already things that could get me in trouble¡± I immediately quieted down after that as I realized big sis risked a lot to tell me all of this yet I kept asking for me. ¡°Don¡¯t look so sad, it¡¯s not like anyone will find out and you won¡¯t tell on your big sis, now will you?¡± ¡°No! Of course I wouldn¡¯t!¡± ¡°Also in maybe the next 100 or so years we might get upgraded to a High Ranked Major Planet so you would have been told all of this anyways and since I know you will be thinking about what I said for a long time, I might as well tell you¡± My eyes lit up as I heard that ¡°Really? Really big sis you will tell me?¡± ¡°Yes my dear little sister, anything for you¡± After she said that she finished her wine and stood up, I was going to follow her but she told me to keep seated. ¡°I am going to show you a memory of mine which will explain everything¡± She walked over to me and put her hand on my head, ¡°Don¡¯t resist it otherwise you will get seriously hurt¡± I nodded and relaxed as I felt her power take over me and my vision darkened for a second. Once my vision returned I was hovering in the air in what seemed to be space, below me as far as the eye can see in all direction was land. Some places had massive lakes and rivers while some places were covered in snow and others in molten lava. Even from up here I could make out so enormous Magical Beasts. I knew that this place was just a part of the Realm of Gods. However, my attention was brought back to what was happening in front of me. Next to me were other men and women who were wearing different attires however I could tell that they were Lesser Gods and Goddesses as they had a similar aura to big sis. Currently they were all staring at two figures who were facing each other, they were quite a distance away from each other and us but I could see everything. One of the figures was a splitting image of the statues I had seen in the church of Goddess Aquira. She was wearing a white sleeveless dress which went down to her ankles, she had blue hair that flowed like water down to her waist and a perfect face. All of this would have been the case if she was in perfect condition however currently, her clothes were torn at places, her hair was a mess and she was wounded in several places. She wasn¡¯t bleeding though, her wounds were covered in what seemed to be magma, it looked incredibly painful but looking at her face she seemed too angry to care about that. On the other side was a huge middle aged man around 9 ft. tall with muscles bulging everywhere on his body, he was not wearing anything except shorts which were in extremely bad shape. On his head, instead of hair was golden fire, just looking at it made me feel like I¡¯m burning inside. This man was the God of Fire, Lukaros. He too was wounded and similarly to Goddess Aquira he wasn¡¯t bleeding but had ice shards imbedded in his wounds, freezing the area around. Both were glaring at each other with eyes filled with hatred. Instead of saying anything both prepared to attack. Behind Lady Aquira a massive spear of crystal clear ice was forming, even being a user of water and ice I was still shivering in the mere presence of that spear. Behind the God of Fire there was a fist of golden magma forming, this fist had a worse effect than the ice to all the water Lesser Gods and Goddesses as they all backed off. When their attacks were fully formed, without waiting they attacked. The spear and the fist flew at each other leaving a trail of ice and magma. Just as they were about to collide a loud voice resounded that sent chills down my spine and made me quiver in fear. ¡°ENOUGH!¡± Looking around to locate the owner of that voice, I saw a man standing in between the two attacks with two hands up, one facing each attack. The next thing that happened baffled me, it was something that I will never forget. These two attacks that could have easily wiped out many planets seemingly disappeared into an invisible wall right before they were about to collide and hit the man. Once the two attacks had disappeared I got a closer look at the man, even though I was quite a distance away I could easily see him. He had short white hair, white eyes that had a golden glow to them and was wearing a traditional white robe that had a black belt in the middle. His face could be said to be handsome however a lot of the Lesser Gods were much better looking, the only thing that would be different would be his eyes. Currently he was looking around with an annoyed look. He spotted both the God and Goddess and again what happened next completely shocked me and filled me with fear. ¡°YOU. STUPID. MORONS. NEVER. FUCKING. LEARN. YOU. FUCKERS. ALWAYS. KEEP. CAUSING. PROBLEMS. AFTER. PROBLEMS.¡± Each word that he said was accompanied with a slap, he was moving from one to the other so fast that I wasn¡¯t even able to see. All that was heard was his voice and the slapping sound. After he finished he ended up where he first arrived holding the two by the neck. He looked at both once and threw them back a few meters in front of him. Once they finally stood up correctly, both had different expressions. Goddess Aquira was looking at the man with trepidation and fear whilst the God of Fire although he was also fearful he still looked at the man with hatred and rage. The man sighed and then started to talk ¡°Listen up shit for brains, you are going to fix the chaos that you have caused with your fighting or you will face severe punishment. I am not going to clean up after you two fuckers so hurry up and get going¡± ¡°BUT¡ª¡± Goddess Aquira was about to speak but was interjected by the man. ¡°What, are you going to say that you are injured? Well who¡¯s fault is that and you¡¯re both not that fragile that you will die from those injuries, here I will even help you clear them¡± he said as he waved his hand and the magma and ice disappeared. ¡°Now go and quell the chaos that you caused, I am going to spend what little time I have enjoying.¡± After he said that he looked at us the water and fire Lesser Gods present. ¡°You lot will help them too, make sure these two idiots do not fuck it up even more¡± None replied mostly due to fear. The God of Fire was still looking at the man with the same expression but still did as he was told and disappeared along with the Lesser Gods. Goddess Aquira looked at the man for a couple of seconds and disappeared. That¡¯s where my vision darkened for a few seconds and then returned to find big sis sitting down sweating. ¡°BIG SIS! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!¡± ¡°Don¡¯t yell, I¡¯m fine. I just had to spend a lot of energy showing you that memory¡± I hurriedly went over to big sis and rested her head on my lap wiping away her sweat. I sat there for a long time with big sis still resting on my lap. I was thinking about what I had just been through. Gods and Goddess, the ones who are supposed to be the strongest beings in existence were beaten and insulted by one man. ¡°Big sis?¡± ¡°Hmmm?¡± ¡°Who was that God?¡± She didn¡¯t reply right away and waited for a couple of minutes. ¡°He isn¡¯t a God¡± ¡°He¡¯s not a God, then how was he so powerful?¡± ¡°Even I am not able to get those answers right now for you little sis. All I can tell you is that he is the most powerful being in existence, much more powerful than the Gods and His name is Matzal¡± ¡°Matzal¡­..¡± I kept repeating it silently.
