Walter has been Durante''s friend for forever, they grew up in the same side of town went to the same school and everything, he stood at a height of 6ft2 and he was wearing a grey shirt which complemented his light blonde hair. "No, that''s not the point, I''m physically young but I''m mentally older than the lot of you." Durante said as he ran his finger through his black hair. His black hair has had a few silver streaks since he was quite young, he attributed it to the intense stress he had had to go through daily. He had a slight dark tan which went with his hair, a black T-shirt which said mechas rule and a dark pair of jeans. "So if you have these abilities, why is it now you are telling me, all those tests we''ve failed, we could have passed them easily dude." [Walter] "I have told you countless times, and in the end you keep making me do all sorts of silly things that ends up with someone we know dying." Durante said while pacing around Walter''s bedroom, the room had a grey color scheme that gave off a calming effect, there weren''t any posters, but mirrors on each wall, Walter as you see was quite vain "My long term project was ruined last week, couldn''t you have prevented that, or wait you did and the situation became worse?"[Walter] "Why on earth would I care about your project, especially a project which you gave no concern about? "[Durante] "Oh huh, well that''s cool and all, I''m quite tired now, was programming all night so...." Walter jumped on his bed and slept off. Durante was left speechless. Right now he was currently facing a dilemma, his ability allowed him to level up and each time he levelled he got certain perks, and to level up he needed to complete the quests posed by the system, he mainly ignored the quests as the abilities gotten weren''t that important too him, more like amplifications of his ability, at lvl. 1 he unlocked the Respawn ability, at lvl. 5 he got the ability link, which allowed him to link to someone else, letting them also retain their memories, for some reason it was already taken. At lvl. 7 he got another useful ability. At lvl. 10 he got the pause function, he used that one a lot, his current aim was 15 which allowed him too link 2 people. In the world he lived in, abilities like he had were rare, most manifested in diverse ways. Due to this it was no surprise the unspeakable calamity occurredin the next 15 years. His goal was to fully train his ability, too a state where he is able to ward it off, with unlimited time he was sure this was possible. Chapter 1 "Dante!" He quickly turned around to see who was calling him by his nickname, seeing the face of Ashley, a friend of his who recently moved into town. He had taken it upon himself to show her around, he would have been dumb not too. Durante''s POV They slowly headed too the forest, they had encountered two more wild boars and both of them had levelled up. Equipped with a bone dagger made by Walter, he continued advancing, he stopped and decided to check his stats.

He was satisfied with how he was progressing and continued moving on.`Checkpoint save'' he thought and slowly continued advancing, they got too a clearing where plenty of trees had been felled. He looked up and saw a big grey wolf had leapt over them, the sign on the wolf''s head read, {Lvl 29 Grey hound}. He felt a strange warmth spread over his leg, he looked down, surprised he had wet himself and he didn''t even know. But he hadn''t wet himself, he was momentarily happy, but realizing that Walter was bleeding out on his laps, the happiness was short lived. "Ah damn my HP is dropping every second" Walter said with a weak smile, "it''s on 40 right now." Without a moment''s hesitation, he placed his hand on Walter''s neck and quickly snapped it. Confirming Walter''s death he threw his body at the wolf and made a run for it. As he ran he noticed a small village upfront, he heard twigs crack behind him, then everything went black. He then tapped yes and they were both respawned "Woah it feels good to be back, even though it''s another world but still"Walter said, Durante led the way and soon they were already at the village, he had be saving checkpoints along the way.

Making potions and the like? ¡°[Walter] ¡°Seems so Walter, can you make a box so I can store these things?¡±[Durante] ¡°sure thing¡±[Walter] They had reached the edge of the forest, he used a save checkpoint and sat down and waited. Walter soon handed him the box. He thought of `inspect` and the stats soon came into his head {Simple box; 45 units} A unit seemed to be around a 100 grammes. He picked up all the useful plants he could find and headed to the village. Upon their arrival into the village, they recieve a notification Primary quest complete; enter village. 200 exp has been awarded. He pondered over what it could be, as he thought of it a notification popped into his head {Special Class Time master; Skills: Respawn(1), Time pause(1), Time warp(1)} He figured `respawn` allowed him to come back, and `time pause` allowed him to freeze time, he wondered what `time warp` did. As he thought of it the info popped into his head, {time warp; temporarily speed up time at a mana consumption of 10/M or slow down time at mana consumption of 10/mS} it seemed like a very useful skill and with a mana consumption of 10 mana per second he could use it for 50 seconds. ¡°Walter I want to test my new skill I just got¡±. He activated time warp and chose slow down. Time instantly slowed down, everywhere became grayer, he ran as fast as he could from Walter but as he was running everywhere started gaining color again. He was shocked, but then he understood why as he dropped to his knees as well. Chapter 4 They soon got a notification; Hunger has reached critical levels, STA will go down by 15/ minute. HP will go down by 5/minute Their HNGR stat which they had been neglecting till now had finally filled up. It had been a couple of hours since they arrived into this world and they hadn''t eaten a thing. They heard a rustle in the bushes, their shouts seemed to have attracted a wild beast the wild beast came out and charged at them. Upon looking they noticed it was a lvl 5 wild boar, an evil grin spread across Walter''s face and the charging wild boar screeched to a stop and started to run. The next thing I saw was Walter''s hand move and the Head of the boar fly off. He seemed to have used my time warp skill. We set up a small fire and began roasting the meat, I had looked for some plants that had a spicy tendency, no matter how hungry I was I couldn''t stand bland food, Walter had already started eating the boar before we could begin roasting it. After all this we were then able to reduce our HNGR stat to 30. ¡°Well let''s get off this farm, which seems to be on the outskirts of the village and get into the village¡±[Walter]Upon entering the village, we were given curious started but once they looked at our faces they seemed disinterested. He could understand the strange looks, Walter still had some boar blood on his cheeks, but why they quickly lost interest he wondered. He focused on a passing villager and saw his info, {Villager lvl 23; Jeroth} he looked at others and he could then see the average levels ranged from 18-30, they must be quite confident in their abilities. ¡°Damn this village is quite strong¡± Walter said while glancing around. ¡°Or we are just quite weak¡±[Durante] He stopped a youthful villager who seemed around 25. His name appeared to be Jeremy; scrawny build and quite lanky. He didn''t call the name in fear that they would start asking him questions on how he knew it. He asked the man about general information of the village and where they could sleep and find work. The village''s name was Rutherfield and they were currently being protected by a great adventurer named Velez. They were to meet with the Village chief and sort out their matters if they wished to stay. The village was a few hours away from the imperial city on foot. It seemed many people came to settle down here. Upon their arrival at the chief''s place they were met by some guard who searched them and let them pass to meet his assistant. ¡°Hello, what do you need help in today¡± Larry asked, he had brown hair which had started to go brown and his beard was thick. Durante wiped off beads of swear from his forehead they had sent him too go gather herbs for them near the cliffs. He had always had a fear of heights, when he was just four he was playing near the edge of the window at the apartment he then lived in. He slipped and fell seven stories. The fall had permanently scarred him and he had then avoided high places as much as possible. This was the instance that he first discovered of his abilities, after he fell he saw pitch darkness and a sign prompting him if he wished to have another go. He obviously chose yes, once he was respawned he rushed and told his parents about what happened, they gave him weird smiles and his father ruffled his hair, obviously not believing him. He chuckled at seeing her attempt to cajole him into paying more, she probably didn''t know he was living from hand to mouth. ¡°I''ll chose the small room¡± He could envision staying in a room with Walter so he decided to stay there alone, Walter would have too empty his pockets too. He heard the door open and a spot covered Walter stepped in. He didn''t even listen to the flirtatious attempts of the inn girl, Walter was faithful to the bone with Ashley, and even in a world where he could do whatever, he''d still remain faithful. Durante dropped his stuff and headed over to Walter''s room, the inn was quite small with only around 12 rooms. 3 rooms belonging too the family that ran the inn, the family whose daughter ran the reception downstairs. Upon getting to Walter''s room he knocked, waited for an answer then stepped in. ¡°Ready too go back too the real world?¡±[Durante] ¡°Of course I am, this day was stressing too the tissue cells.¡± He brought out his game menu then selected game close. Chapter 5 Walter''s POV They had just come back from that world. When Durante first told him about his powers he was slightly skeptical but didn''t show it, besides he didn''t even need to lie to him, he assumed at most it was a joke. His experience in that world was exciting and he enjoyed every bit, well except where he was worked too the bone at the blackSmith''s and only receiving 40 copper coins, Durante finished early and he even caught him flirting with the girl at the inn. He was pretty bummed St receiving the class lackey, but during his journey around, so many people were looking down at him that he had recorded a ton of skills, he couldn''t get skills he had before, but more interesting was the fact that he had received a skill, puppet from the village chief, it allowed him to temporarily link his mana to an inanimate object and control it. ¡°That was quite invigorating, let''s rest for a day, are you interested in going next tomorrow?¡±[Durante] ¡°Of course I will¡± he responded, his body felt stronger and sturdier, maybe it was all the stat gains he got. He picked up a pin from the pin cushion and tried pricking himself, the needle pricked his hand but he could tell his skin had gotten tougher, and soon enough the red dot had vanished, it seems him levelling there affected here as well. He relayed his new finding to Dante who looked slightly confused as to what Walter was doing. ¡°Ah I see, I was told going into the game will help me, and completing this gold quest will make sure I surge bounds, I didn''t know it had effects like these.¡± [Durante] ¡°Wait you still haven''t told me what the quest is?¡± [Walter] ¡°Oh it''s quite a simple one, slay the false messiah¡± He said matter of factly. Walter''s jaw dropped. He had expected something like found a village or something. But this, this was¡­ Gonna be one hell of a ride! Durante had left by now. Time hadn''t moved by even a second during the time they were out. So he tried teaching. After a few hours, he could successfully say she new hot to boil rice now. It was already 9pm and he needed to walks Ashley back to her dorm. Most students lived in dormitories, Walter was given the choice of having a car or an apartment, he quickly chose the apartment, he wasn''t quite a fan of people, but as he walked back he started to really think if he should have chosen the car. On the streets, they could see college students being college students. The air had an acrid smell, he tried his best to ignore it, They saw Dante trying to get phone numbers. and waved at him. ¡°That guy is quite a player, huh¡±[Ashley]. ¡°Well he did spend all day engrossed in a game¡± Walter said while laughing, He stopped laughing when he saw one of Ashley''s coursemates come over, The dude came over and ignored him completely, held Ashley''s upper arm and began talking to her. Walter would have let it slide on a normal day, but this guy had the guts to start caressing her arm with his thumb. Normally this would have caused Walter to engage in a fight with him, and Walter having to take a ton of painkillers, the other guy was built like a truck after all. But this time was different. He had survived death and become stronger, he remembered he learnt a skill from a stone mason, ¡®push¡¯ he figured the mason needed it to push boulders around. Walter put one arm on the dudes chest, and thought of push. He waited, and nothing happened, The dude feeling quite awkward that this Walter had decided to touch his chest, lunged a punch at him. For Walter whose senses had improved, easily dodged this, held the arm and threw him on the grassy fields quite a few meters away, making sure he put enough force when throwing him down, enough to take him out. A Lot of guys had been after Ashley and he hoped this could send a message. Durante had quite some sway in his department so this prevented most trouble, but blockheads like him would always be blockheads. ¡°You didn''t need to do that, I was about to smack his hand off you know¡­¡±[Ashley] ¡°Oh I see¡­¡± Walter walked her back to her dorm without incident, he kissed her forehead and wished her a good night. On his walk back he wondered why the skill didn''t work, he was going to try the other skills and see how they did. He couldn''t check his mana, so he thought a nap of 2 hours in between could do it. He hadn''t enjoyed throwing that guy, he was normally passive. But if Ashley was involved. He always thought he could do anything for her.
