    John,15 years old is living by himself.His mother and father divorced and neither of them took him and he was left with his grandparents.Though he''s not living with them that doesnt mean they neglect him.They''re always giving him everything he needs.But something unexpected happened...


    His grandparents both died in a fatal car crash.His parents think that he will be alright as long as they gave him his material needs


    He may seem totally fine but the truth is he''s lonely.Even though he said that he can live alone as long they give him money.He only said that because he doesnt want to live together with his father or mother''s new family

    John reassured his friend.He doesnt want to worry anyone.

    John wave his friend goodbye as he enters his house.Little did he know that this might be his last time seeing him.Or the entire world¡­

 First Contact

    John is alone in his house, the house is dark with the only illumination coming from the screen of a computer.As usual John is sitting in front of his computer and eating unhealthy food and snacks.


    These novels are good, but there''s really a lot of transported to another world novels huh¡­


    John thought as he skimmed through a list of webnovels in an novel indexing site.Most of them are either reincarnation novels or summoned to another world as a hero or something


    I wish I could go to another world


    He though as he put the can of soda near his mouth so he can drink before realizing that its already empty.


    I need to go down again, maybe i should just move the fridge here?or maybe I should just live in a single room


    This thoughts filled Johns head.He is aware of his own laziness


    He''s not afraid of ghost but ever since he began living alone he really can''t shake off the unease that someones always following him.Maybe he''s just being paranoid


    As he went down the stairs to get a can of coke, he felt it again.That feeling of being observed, as if something is watching you but you can''t tell where it is or what it is


    Nevertheless he continued on his journey to the fridge.


    Why am I making going to the fridge to get a can of coke sounds so dangerous¡­


    Sheesh,I''m such a wuss¡­


    John thought as he opened the fridge.As his hand was about to grasp the cold bottle of coke he felt something unusual behind him.


    His heart beat quickened.Sweat trickled down his cheek from his head.

    What appeared in the middle of the kitchen were shapes.Seemingly multiple unconnected objects continually popping in and out of existence.The objects change shape,merge.Despite not seemingly being connected they seem coordinated in some strange wayA case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.


    It looks like a cross section of a complete being.Whatever it is, it is something a mortal mind can''t comprehend

    It didnt answer and instead it dissapeared.No, it didnt dissapeared. Before he knew it he was being lifted up by an unseen force.

    Up,Up,Up he goes..Or maybe not? He isnt being dragged upward


    He''s being lifted to a higher dimension.He understand it now, he cant see whats observing him because he is being observed from an angle that he cant see and his mind can''t comprehend.Just like how a 2 dimensional being cant see you because it cant see upwards or if its see you it will only see a 2d cross section of the 3d part it sees


    He''s floating in space, a space beyond space.If vacuum in the universe is empty then this is more so.Then he see it, the universe embedded in a higher dimension.The 3 dimensional universes restricted in a brane in a higher dimensional space.Not just one but there are countless of them.Parallel universes he thought


    Maybe I can find Earth 616 here.


    Even though he''s been abducted by extra dimensional beings the thought of parallel universes still excited him and he cant help but to wonder if those comic book worlds do exist.Maybe stories are true and authors are just unwittingly telling stories of these worlds?


    Aaaaaaagh!!


    He was assaulted by an incredible pain.Its as if his entire body is being turned inside out.He can almost imagine his insides falling out of his body


    The pain suddenly stopped and he slowly opened his eyes.Then he finally saw "it"


    The shapes before are nothing but shadow,a sliver of the complete being


    He saw what it finally looked like.It looks like a humanoid being made of transparent glass like sheet.Across its body are hundreds and hundreds of glowing points like stars.It looks like a constellation, but in its face are two points glowing brigther than the others.Instead of stars these two points resemble blue white candle flames.


    He tried looking at its eye like features.Instead of two eyes, infinite eyes seemed to be looking back at him.This cause him to step backwards and thats when he noticed that he''s standing on its two cupped hands.


    If you fall your body is going to get disambled.Not just torn limb from limb.You will be scattered into infinite points across space and time.


    How did he know? He just did.That if he seperated from "it" he wont just die but his sense of self will be scattered into infinite point of views.


    [Uh,h-hi?]


    It dissapeared again.The humungous being instantanteously dissapeared.For something to pop in and out of existence clearly violates the laws of thermodynamics.But a higher dimensional being operates under different kinds of rules


    No just like before he is being pulled.Unlike before where he was pulled up now he is being pulled down.


    That guy really doesnt have any manners¡­


    Is Johns last thought before he blacked out as he falls into one of the universe below

    Uhh.. my head


    John feels like throwing up.Now he knows that jumping from one universe to another feels like being inside a ship in a stormy sea.


    He stood up and discovered that he''s lying on a pile of scrap metal.All around him are parts of¡­robots?


    He slipped as he tried to stand up only to trip and roll down the heap of discarded mechanical limbs.


    Ouch, he felt blood trickle down his nose and he discovered that there''s a gash on his forehead.It doesn''t hurt but he still needs something to cover it up to avoid infection.Also because he doesn''t like walking around with an open wound in a junkyard.He reached into his pocket and found a napkin which he tied around his forehead.


    He then proceeds to walk around the junkyard.


    [ Is this really a junkyard? the way everything''s arrange so neatly is just weird¡­]


    He calls it junkyard but the place gives off the feeling of a cemetery.


    Seriously its really creepy in here


    He quickly left the robot mass grave, he discovered he is on too of a moubtain and what he saw is something that can only exist in science fiction or maybe something that will exist in the far off future?

    A futuristic mega city,that''s how he can describe it.A massive city in the middle of the ocean.Its towering skyscrapers seems to touch the clouds.Its metallic buildings stood like robots and the sunlight striking the structures makes it gleam, making the sight more fantasy like.


    But the one that really caught John''s attention is the structure erected near the city.A giant megastructure so tall that it makes the giant skyscrapers look so tiny by comparison. It seems to reach beyond the clouds and It probably stretches far up into space.It looks like a gigantic black wire that reach into spaceStolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere.


    At base of it is like a barge the size of small island that is connected to the city via a long bridge


    John was awestruck upon seeing the magnificent city.He just continued staring at the sight and would probably stare at it for a few more minutes if he hadnt felt someone staring at him.He awkwardly turned around and saw a girl with short black hair and slim build wearing a type of school uniform that probably isnt made of fabric.Her indifferent expressions suits her well


    [H-hi]


    He greeted the girl with a nervous smile.She stared at him for a few seconds as if analyzing him


    [Your clothes, theyre outdated.The materials I mean]


    [Yeah, I suppose]


    John said after smiling wryly.


    The girl approached John and sat on the ground staring at the city without the same enthusiasm as john


    [The way you look at the city.Is it your first time seeing it?]


    [Ah, yeah Im not from around here]


    [Where did you came from?Sorry I should have first introduced myself, my name is Claire nice to meet you]


    [I''m John, nice to meet you too.I came from a far place,very different from here.I''m probably wont be able to return home..]


    Seeing John''s disheartened expression Claire quickly apologize


    [Sorry]


    John, seeing Claire''s apolegetic face quickly assured her


    [Ah, dont worry.I''m going to find a way to return home.Now is not the time for me to be brooding]


    [If you want I can take you to a place where theres a great view ]


    Claire said trying to cheer up John but her face is still expressionless.This really puzzles John, the word she says are very different from her expression.


    But to think this is still not the best view of the city.John cant help but gets excited

    Claire entered the junkyard and John followed after her.The place became more creepy because the sun is now setting.

    Claire urge him to follow her.Its becoming more darker and John can barely see the path while Claire seems to be having no problem

    Finally Claire stopped walking and as he walk near where Claire is he saw that there are many other cities.He didnt saw it because it was blocked from view by the mountain so they have to go around it.The cities looks like floating paper lanterns in the sea.


    While John is admiring the sight Claire spoke


    [Beautiful isnt it]


    [Yeah¡­]


    John answered and when he looks at Claire.He noticed that she isnt looking at the city but rather at the stars.


    [Isnt the universe beautiful?so vast that it can crush your ego just by looking at it]


    John just nodded and sat on the ground and watch the stars dance in the darkness of the night
