 Prologue: death??

    "Huh? What is happening? who are you?..."

    He said while beheading the woman next to him and the blood flowed everywhere.


    Everyone in the room just could not move in fright while the house got covered in flames so no one could escape. Two shadows then materialized before the man in the hood and swung they''re knives at him to make the massacre come to an end but before contact it was melted by a scorching heat and a flame no Bigger than a finger went through both shadows and they died in an instant and they''re heart was burned to ashes.


    By the current of air that came afterwards the hood on the man blew back and what I saw shocked me even more.. "Alex? WTF ALEX!!!!!!?????? WHAT THE HE''LL DO YOU THINK YOU''RE DOING? ?????.."


    "well that was unfortunate you shouldn''t have seen me but ooh well you were going to know sooner or later". Alex moved his hand and everyone except me was burned to ashes.. the strength in my legs failed me and I slump down while wailing "why ??why??" Tears stream down my face and I couldn''t believe that Alex my best friend did something like this


    "Hahahahahahahhaha oh my God your fucking face is so funny I want to watch it all day long hahahahah well I had to kill them all because they saw my face and unfortunately you did to". Alex said with a horrifying smirk on his face "well your family was on my list too soo you''d die eventually, still it was fun playing around with you hehehehe... goodb- wait a moment I think I''ll make it more fun... wait here for a moment and you''ll see something very interesting..." and with those words he disappeared.


    A few seconds later he reappeared with a middle aged woman, an old man and a little girl. I recognize them immediately as my family. My sister Lily, my mom Geria and my grandpa Thomas. "STOP I''LL DO ANYTHING SO PLEASE LET THEM GO!!!!!!!!!!"


    "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Your hilarious I knew I should have done this hehehehe now cry and beg, beg for mercy and they might get to live for now hehehehe". with that he raised the temperature and Lily screams on top of her lungs "AAAAHHHHHHHHHH"


    "NOOOOO STOOOOPPP AHHHHHH! !!!!" and with that I charge Alex but to no avail and then the only thing I see is Alex''s smirk before everything becomes dark......


    After who knows how long I realize everything is white But i don''t want to die I don''t want to die at least not before I Kill that Bastard "AAAAHHHHHHHHHH I''M NOT READY TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!" And suddenly I can move and there is something pitch black revolving around me and that really fast. "What is this?" I try to move and to my surprise it moves according to me and it''s like it moves to my will. And why am I so calm? I just saw my family die. It''s like nothing ever happened and I can think much clearer. It''s like nothing can affect me anymore as long as I stay around it.


    After focusing on trying to look around for a bit the, what looks like to be a black mist, suddenly lessens and what I see is not a beautiful view, but a view of blood and aches but somehow I''m not panicking and I am way to calm and that''s not all what also surprises me was that I felt like my senses had sharpened quit much and I could see any detail I wanted very clear.


    I could even see all the details of a fly that was flying around, the clear pointy wings, the six eyes and it''s hairy feet, I could see them all. "So this is magic huh?" "Well now I got a chance to kill that Bastard but I don''t really care that much right now *shight* I should at least avenge them right?" "Well first things first I have to train my magical power to be his match". "Hhmmmm right I''ll go and register to the magic academy then". After thinking for a bit I sprint away to the next town (and of course I''m much faster than before)


    Before coming to the magic academy I realize something " fuck I actually forgot about my bloody and torn clothing and the black energy is still around me". Better be at least normal when I arrive so I concentrate and try to think of the darkness to dissipate and good it works but when it goes away all the emotions that were gone hit me like I hit a wall and I fall down while crying.


    After about 2 hours of crying and mourning I go to a nearby lake and jump naked in it leaving my clothing and emotions on shore to get rid of all the blood. Of course when I come to get them and clean them they''re gone "of course it''s like that. Why don''t I have any luck?" "Meen alright I''ll just hunt some monsters and make some". Soon after I see a green bear that''s at least 4 meters, I think it''s a rank 2 magical beast. Magical beasts are beasts that are stronger than normal beasts and have something like a magical core, so you would have to be a mage or a mercenary to penetrate it''s hard skin and dodge its enhanced claws and jaw. A magical core is something a mage can use to strengthen their magical power. This is a greenwind bear. A greenwind bear can can become really big, but they gain speed and not strength so it''s not that high in rank. I think this bear is chewing on something...


    When I realize what it is I gape and then jump it " You Bastard give me back my clothes"!! I punch it and *crack* it flies away before hitting a nearby tree and dropping dead with its chest caved in after one hit "My God I''m OP" but then I thought if I''m this op after the black mist then how op is the black mist? I should try and get a hold of that black energy before going to the academy or at least Give it a try.


    With that I sit down and take a deep breath and then breath out slowly and focus on my new energy. I do this a couple of times and after that the dark mist begins to spread again and I get devoid of all emotions once again. Next I try to move it to hit a tree and to my surprise it hits the tree but when it dissipates there was nothing left of the tree were the darkness hit it.


    My face turns to one of complete disbelief and my eyes bulge out "holy shit I''m actually this powerful hehehehe just you wait Alex I''m going to rip your heart out and fucking eat it hahahahaha" *cough cough* hmm anyway I try to shape my darkness a bit and I can basically shape it into anything I want "hhmmmm this''ll be really convenient and ohhhh I can just shape it to be like a magician robe and use that as clothes". "Hahahahhaa I''m a genius and I think I should stop talking to myself it''s getting pretty weird".  chapter 1: just another normal day

    In a grand hall that''s well decorated with golden statues and beautiful paintings there are two powerful beings discussing about the future. The one in a red attire covering his whole body is kneeling on the floor while the other is stationed in a grand chair, and in a deep purple robe with black lines forming what seems to be an image of an ancient beast. The creature has three pitch black horns and six long and powerful arms, and on each arm are four big and dangerous claws that could snap a mountain in two. Its deep blue eyes look like they could stare in a person''s soul if someone looks at them for too long, while its pitch black wings are generating a dark mist that sucks away at the light in the room. The one sitting on the throne is staring intensely, with his eyes suddenly shifting to red, at the one who is kneeling, and making him shiver out of the cold gaze.


    "Are you sure?"


    "Y-yes my lord."


    "Do we know how he looks like?"


    "No my lord. The only thing we know is that it was someone in Zerfes.."


    "Hmmm I see. Then we will have to wait and see if he qualifies..."


    "B-but my lord, isn''t it better to retrieve him now? And what about the angels? Who knows what they will do when they find out who he is.."


    "No, he has to experience some hardships or else he is not qualified, and besides, if he cannot handle the small angelic race then he is nothing more than trash, and trash goes to the trash can."


    "But my lord no one has been chosen for a couple of billions of years since the mighty Garz..."


    "ENOUGH!!"


    "M-my deepest apologies my lord."


    "Now you will do as I say, and stay out of this until the time has come."


    "Wery well my lord.."


    "You are dismissed."


    The one kneeling then stands up, bows once again and then leaves, and the being on the throne puts on an evil smile.. They can''t use him if he''s dead now can they?


    "Xzaron!"


    "Yes master.." says a shadow that suddenly materialized


    "Go tell the angels that it is time to hold their part of the deal.." he says with a vicious smile.


    And the shadow disappears.


    the one on the throne mutters with a cold glint in his eyes.. "No one will take the throne away from me NO ONE, especially not some kid who just awoke.. He will wish he had never been born Hehehehe..."


    Woah! so this is the magic academy huh. "umm excuse me. Sir? Can you tell me how to register to the academy?" I ask the old man to my right.


    "Hmmm, you must not be from around here.. Well your in luck. The academy has an entrance exam once every three years, and the exam will begin after about a week from now. You''re one lucky fellow you know that?"


    "Yeeeah well sure why not... Anyway thanks a lot."


    "Yeah no problem and good luck.. Well I don¡¯t think you''re lacking in that area." He said the last sentence while muttering.


    "Oh wait I almost forgot!"


    "What is it?" The old man turns around again to face me.


    "Umm do you know how I could make money?"


    "Of course, you can either find work in town or kill a magical beast, and take its magical core to sell it to the academy. They are always short on magical cores... oh and you can also sell the beast to some merchant, they are always looking for some materials to make weapons or clothes."


    "All right. Thank you."


    "Yeah see ya around." And with that he returns to what he was doing.


    "Let''s go hunt some magical beasts!!"¡­ After a while, I''m walking in the woods right outside of Xzeria (the city I''m in right now) I see what I think are five rank 2 wolves attacking a rank 3 tiger. Magical beasts are distributed in ranks after how powerful they are. For example a wolf is about a rank 2 magical beast because of its quick speed and powerful legs. Wolves can always be stronger or weaker although the average for wolves is rank 2 but a rank 3 wolf is still weaker than a rank 3 tiger. After waiting for some time, the wolves finally win and I attack them with my new found power and speed. Of course they were weak after the battle and with my enhanced speed and strength it didn''t take long before killing them, so I take their magical cores to get the money.


    Haa, that¡¯s good. A whole 6 magical cores. Well I still need something to hold them. Hmmm.. Oh I know I''ll make a dimensional pocket like I saw a mage do once. Alright. Breath in, breath out... Imagine that you make a hole in space with the darkness.. And make the hole big enough to fit the items... alright lets test it. I take one of the cores and put them in the hole and close it. After waiting a little, I re-open the hole and there it is.. My magical core. Yesss okey now that that¡¯s done, let''s get to town.


    After going to the magic academy and selling my cores I got a whole of 40 silver coins (8 silver for a rank 2 wolf and 20 silver for a rank 3 tiger). One gold coin is equal to 100 silver and 1 silver is equal to 10 copper. When I arrive outside after selling my cores the sun is just about to go down.


    Well better find an inn then. After couple of minutes of walking around I see an inn with the name "the Blue Phoenix", and get myself in there. when I walk in I see plenty of people drinking, shouting and having fun while some are even dead drunk. After looking around a little I walk towards the receptarier to ask for a room for the night.


    The girl at the receptarier is about twenty years old with golden hair and brown eyes. After a couple of breaths she looks my way..


    "Welcome to the Blue Phoenix! one night with three meals included will be 5 silver coins please. "


    "I''ll be staying for a week." I say while taking 35 silver from my newly gotten money pouch.


    "Well of course." She says with a big smile and giving me the keys to my room. "Mary!! Mary!"


    "yes what is it." Answers a slender woman with long black hair and green eyes.


    "Show our customer to his room."


    "Yes of course. Follow me." She says to me.

 chapter 2 academy?

    It has been a week since I''ve come to this town and today is the big day. Today I am going to get myself into the academy "alrightlet''s go."


    While walking to the academy I spot plenty of people going and trying their luck with the academy. Young or old people, it doesn¡¯t matter so long as you have sufficient talent. There are also people of many races trying to get in like demihumans,snake-people or even some of the proud angel and elven races.


    "Ahhh finally there it is... the academy" we all stop right outside of the gates and out comes an old man. He gives a speech about how strong and proud the academy is and something more... I wasn¡¯t really listening but then finally after the boring speech the examination begins.


    There are ten magic crystals that can measure your magic capacity and talent. Ifthecrystal has no color(aka black) then you have no magic and therefore no talent. It glows red for fire, yellow for lightning, white for light, brown for earth, grey for wind, blue for water, light blue for ice and black and white for space magic(which is the rarest).


    Of course you could also have two or three affinities but it is not that common and if you have water affinities then it''s very likely that you also have ice.


    After some hours it''s finally my turn. Ohhh what will my magic be categorized as? I''m dying to know.


    When it was finally my turn I walked to the crystal and put my hand on it... it''s almost like its sucking a bit of my energy to see what it is..aaaaannd its... black........Wtf do I not have any magical powers is it broken? And then I hear the examiner say "hoh no magic and no talent.. get out of my sight trash".


    Ithen stare into nothingness while walking away..."no way I have no talent... but the mist and...." Slowly but surely the confusion turns to determinationand Islap myself. "I don¡¯t need them it''s just a fucking academy that can''t even recognize talented people I can get powerful all on my own yes that¡¯s it I just have to train a little and then I''ll show them."


    "That examiner will wish he was NEVER BORN. HAHAHAHAHA"  *cough cough* alright phase 1 get a place to sleep. Phase 2 train and finally Fuck that school to oblivion hahahaha.... "okey gotta get a place to sleep hmmm oh I can just make a cave in the magical forest.. Okey lets gooo."


    After awhileI found a perfect cave and of course I killed its residents. Then I coated the entrance with the black mist so that no one could disrupt me while I was training. "okey first of all because the black mist can strengthen me while revolving around me then why not try to absorb it?" "hmmmmm.. Okey let''s try it".     Isat down and began to inhale and exhale a couple of times to concentrate. Then I pulled on the mist and tried to make it course through me......"aaaarghhh its so powerful it''s almost ripping me apart... but I must hold on and I will show them... I will show the world that I am not to be trifled with.... aaaarrgghhhh..."


    After what felt like decades I could finally make it course through me constantly..."haaaa finally it doesn¡¯t hurt and now..." I couldn¡¯t finish talking to myself because there was a loud BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM and the cave was collapsing "AAHHH I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE" and then I ran out but what greeted me was a firebolt to my face "AARGH wtf is happening"


    Then out of nowhere a couple of angels walk towards me "hooouuuu he is not hurt even after receiving my firebolt.. I''m impressed."


    "Well don¡¯t be I know it was one of your weakest spells" another angel scoffed


    "heh you got me there azron" "okey enough fooling around let''s kill him before he can become a threat"


    With that said they ran so fast it was like they teleportedbefore me and I barely managed to dodge one of the knives while receiving a stab to the left arm and two kicks to the side and flying back.


    Then I coated myself in the black mist and tried to counterattack but it was futile I lost every single exchange and now I''m lying on the ground and bleeding out"aarrghh"


    "haahahaha it futile to resist your evil energy can do nothing against our combined strengthand affinitiesto the light"


    Then I watch immobile as they gather a HUUUUGE spear of light and thrust it towards me....


    But then it''s like everything slows down and I can think clearly..."Why,why is this happening.. Why I don¡¯t want to be here I need to get away they are too dangerous I neeedto...AAAARGGGHH" im trying to pop inside the black mist like my dimensional pocket because it''s either that or death and then suddenly I''m in the mist, all my wounds heal and I see that I am not just in the mist im in all the darknessand shadows everywhere.


    Then suddenly   "YOU ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO BE HERE YET... BEGONE". And poooof I disappear...


    Angel pov:


    "Ummmm what the fuck just happened... is he dead?"


    "I don¡¯t think so..."


    "FUUUUCCKKK we were so close and now we are soooo gonna be punished haaaaaa"


    "no guys we don¡¯t need to be punished"


    "what do you.."


    "GUYS he died here didn¡¯t he?"


    "What.. I mean of course he died... we did our job and he is nowhere to be found..heehehe no one will know otherwise..
