《Immortal Dual Sword God》 Prologue: Mother and Father "Linley, we will not be able to go far," a voice exclaimed. This voice came from an extremely beautiful woman, her elegance, and beauty comparable to a celestial fairy. However, this beauty at this moment was overshadowed by a deep sense of sorrow and worry. She was flying at speeds invisible to the naked eye, almost as if space itself was breaking apart. Next to her was a young man, extremely handsome, and constantly exuding an aura of a king. If there were any spectators, one would think that this man had the destiny of a peerless emperor, becoming a being that even the gods would have to acknowledge. "Linda, we cannot let them get their hands on Aryia," said this young man. In this beautiful''s women''s bosom lay a newborn, with beautiful golden eyes, extremely unusual and captivating to anyone. Linley turned around and looked gently at Linda. "Linda, at this speed they will catch up. I will try to them hold them back." Linda stared at Linley, her tears intensifying. "NO! We could flee to the mortal world. They will not be able to find us there." Linley gave a Linda a deep kiss, that would make any onlooker pity their circumstances. Linley then gently kissed the newborn''s forehead and put a necklace around his neck. The baby giggled, intimating a beautiful melody that could only be found in the orchestras of heaven. "Go, I will hold them back."Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. While this was occurring, the young man was having a conservation with an ancient being in his mind. "Why do you choose to give up your immortal destiny, Linley? I read your memories. You could have been those xianxiacultivators who reach the very pinnacle of existence like Meng Hao or Wang Lin, from those novels you have read from your previous life," said this ancient voice, sighing in exasperation. "Those novels all have tragedy embedded in the life of the main characters. If my life follows those cultivators, Linda and Aryia will die and I will have to follow the path of vengeance. What use is power if I cannot protect the one''s I love at this moment? With mysacrifice, I will be handing this immortal destiny to my son. I just wish for Aryia to live a good life. Protect him for me." "Very well," said this voice. Linley gave one last meaningful glance to Linda, giving a warm gentle smile. Then he turned around heading in the opposite direction. "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" Linda''s eyes were completely red, as she turned back around fleeing in the opposite direction of her lover. Linda was heartbroken and could only imagine the fate of Linley, using every bit of her willpower to stop herself from going back towards Linley. With every ounce of her effort, she arrived at the hidden gateway to the mortal realm, discovered by Linley before. She looked at Aryia''sbeautiful face. "I am sorry, my Aryia. I will not be able to raise you. On the other side, is one of daddy''s servants from the mortal realm. He will take care of you." Linda gently stroked Aryia''s face before giving a sorrowful smile, that would make any human tremble with sadness. Aryia seemed to sense his mother''s sadness, frowning on that jade-like face. Linda went up to the gate and put Aryia through it. Space distorted as the newborn was transferred to another realm. "Oh, he''s going to grow up to be quite an enemy of women." Linda smiled again, however with a multitude of tears rolling down her snow white face. She faced the direction that Linley had traveled too. Her beautiful eyes instantly became quite cold and determined. *** In the vast forest, there was an old man. This old man may have once been quite handsome; however, the ages had done away his youth. He walked with a newborn in his arms, and walked towards a village... Chapter 1: Martial Spirit Awakens "Aryia, make sure to be back by dark," an old man sighed. He looked at a beautiful golden eyed, black haired boy, whose age was about 7 years old. "Okay, grandpa," replied the boy. The boy ran out of the cottage into the village center. This specific village was called Sovereign''s village by the surrounding areas. This legend arose 50 years ago, when a powerful cultivator who later became the pinnacle of the world, stayed at the village for an amount of time. This powerfulcultivator was a legend to the rest of the world, thought to have the destiny of a peerless emperor. In his rise, multiple sects and genius''s were just stepping stones for his ascension. The whole world had a name for him, "Emperor Linley." The boy, named Aryia, ran out of the village gates, towards the mountains. While other kids played, Aryiawas quite introverted. He preferred to stay away and observe. Of course, the fact that his pupils were golden and his features were similar to a divine angel, lead to his reserved nature. Even at a younger age, the whole village was astonished by Aryia''sdelicate features that would make even the female gods of the higher realms tremble in lust. At this moment, Aryia''s face was in deep contemplation, looking at a crow with a broken wing. The crow was clearly suffering but Aryiajust stared at in deep contemplation. "Poor creature," Aryiathought. He walked up to the bird, and stabbed with it a knife. Aryiahad a gentle smile on his face, extremely compassionate for a person his age. Aryiacontinued walking towards the mountain. At the base of the mountain, he looked up. And started climbing... He climbed for hours... If a person were to see this, they would be astonished by the strength and determination shown by Aryia... At the mountain peak, Aryiasat down, and started breathing... His breathing was smooth and flowed like a river... "This nameless breathing technique provided by the necklace is quite resourceful," thought Aryia. Aryia looked down on a necklace surrounding his neck. The necklace carried a pendant that seemed pretty ordinary, other than the mysterious symbols that seemed be to carved on the necklace.Stolen novel; please report. 2 years ago when Aryiawas playing around in the forest, he heard a voice telling him to go to this very mountain top. Aryia was naturally born curious and resilient, so despite the numerous blisters appearing on his palms from climbing, he never let out a sound of pain. At the mountain top, his pendant shined, and the nameless breathing technique was passed onto him. Every day since then he would come to this very mountaintop. Time passed until a few hours went by... "I better head back now," thought Aryia. Arriving at his cottage, Aryia saw his grandpa sitting at the table. "Aryia, come over here," his grandpa said in a weak voice. "Yes, Grandpa." Aryiawalked over and sat across from his grandpa, observing his grandpa''s sorrowful eyes. "Aryia, I have watched you grow up for the past 7 years, but I never heard you ask once about your parent''s," the old man sighed. "Grandpa, I have thought about it alot, but I trust that you will tell me when the time is right." "Aryiayou will turn 8 years old in 2 months and your martial spirit will awaken; I will tell you then." The old man gave a deep look to Aryiaand sighed. *** 2 months passed with Aryia''s usual routine of heading to the mountain. The old man had noticed this routine for years but never stopped him. On the day of Aryia''s birthday, he was exceedingly excited. One would see in the whole village, there was only person with an awakened martial spirit, being the village head. The majority of the people who lived in the world did not even have a martial spirit. "Aryia, do not be disappointed if you do not have a martial spirit." "Yes, Grandpa" The old man walked to the boy, waving his hand in a specific gesture. He lightly touched Aryia''s forehead. They both waited in silence... The old man already knew that if the martial spirit did not awaken in 30 seconds, they would most likely not have one, but he waited till 15 minutes passed... Aryia''s delicate facial features quickly shifted to one of disappointment, but he quickly covered it up with a fake smile... "It''s okay Grandpa. Maybe I just do not have the destiny to become a cultivator." The old man looked at the boy and sighed... "Aryia, I know I made you a promise to tell you about your parents, however, there was only if your martial spirit awakened. But I will tell you one thing: your parents were powerful cultivators" "I understand Grandpa." Aryia was quite excited to know that his parents were like immortals flying through the sky... However, thinking about himself, he could only sulk in sorrow and cover it up with a smile... *** The next day Aryiaheaded back to the mountaintop, and started practicing his nameless breathing technique. Suddenly, Aryia felt a tremor coming from the very depths of his soul. The more astonishing part was though, this tremor was felt not just by Aryia, but every single being in all of the realms of existence... Multiple experts from the highest to the lowest realm, looked around astonished... Little did Aryia know that his awakening caused a phenomena that lead to a massive investigation by the gods themselves... In front of Aryia appeared two swords, both giving off the feeling of primordial divinity and arrogance...Both swords had writing, carved in a mystical language that did not exist throughout this whole plane of existence... One sword had pure white blade, with a golden hilt, giving off a feeling that even heavens were below it... The other sword had a black blade, with a purple hilt, giving off a feeling of ancient chaos... Chapter 2: Heavenly Treasure Spirit Aryiaopened his eyes, but noticed that he was not on top of the mountain peak anymore. He was in a plain with beautiful scenery. The plain had multiple exotic flowers, none of which Aryia had ever seen before. This plain resembled an immortal''s place of cultivation, like in the stories mentioned by his grandfather. "Where am I?" Aryiathought. Aryiawas surprisingly calm, and he eyed his surroundings. When he turned around, he noticed an ancient door, hundreds of meters wide and hundreds of meters tall. The door had multiple chains diagonally restraining the entrance. Furthermore, the door was litteredwith ancient writing, similar to the ones written on the two swords...Surprisingly, Aryiacould perfectly read the writing on the door... "In brightest day and blackest night, even the heaven''s shall not block my sight, for even when I cannot see without the light, Oblivion and Oathkeeper in my hands, I shall display my might!" "These word''s are quite heaven-defying," thought Aryia. However, Aryiafelt his blood boil reading these words, feeling as if he was standing upon a peak, ironically, not looking up, as there was nothing to look up at it, or down, because there was too much to look down on. He felt as if he was looking at his sides, seeing no one beside him. "....and quite lonely and solitary..." thought Aryia. Aryia quickly made a decision. He started walking... Aryia walked towards the door with a tranquil expression, the contrast to what someone else might feel in a situation like this. He felt an odd familiarity with this door and so he walked... "Why is door so familiar?" Aryiathought. The walk was quite long, as the door was about a kilometer away. Oddly enough, even from that length, Aryia could clearly read the writing on the door...This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. As Aryiaapproached the 25-meter mark, he felt a distinct pressure that overwhelmed him... "What is this pressure.....?" Aryia felt as if he was being crushed by an elephant upon reaching the 50-meter mark... 75 meters... "AHHHHH!!!!!" At this point, the degree of pain Aryia was feeling was if his very soul was being torn apart. For a 8-year-old boy, to go through this soul-tearing pain and not go utterly insane was quite astounding... Aryia was steadfast on reaching the 100-meter mark though, because of that odd feeling of familiarity he felt and his innate curiosity, and so he trudged on... With utter determination and willpower, Aryia managed to reach the 99-meter mark... but the moment he laid his foot on the 100-meter mark...He felt a soul-wrenching pressure that was quite capable of disintegrating his consciousness right there. Aryia knew that was his limit so he backed up extremely fast. He looked at the 100-meter milestone, which was marked by an exotic plant that resembled a divine immortal flower. A sharp glint of fear flashed his eyes. "I cannot go far today, but I will be back and reach that door no matter what," Aryia thought. He started walking back towards his original location, but because of his earlier endeavors, he started feeling dizzy.. After a few seconds, Aryia felt the world go dark... *** Meanwhile outside... Aryia''s pendant trembled, and a transparent spirit appeared next to Aria''s body... "These two martial spirits....I have never seen something like this...Me, an entity born of chaos itself have actually felt my spirit tremble..." the entity said eyeing the two swords in fear. The spirit stared at the Aryia''stranquil and divine face, astonished by his state... "He''s witnessing his soul...Only the gods can do something like this...Who is this child? His mother and father were powerful...but this degree of background stems from his very soul...maybe he''s a very powerful entity reincarnated?" The spirit thought of multiple scenarios, calculating at mental speeds that far surpassed that of a human....and a god. "But that does not make any sense...I am a Heavenly Treasure that the gods and devils themselves would fight an extinction-worthy war for...But even I felt my soul tremble..." The spirit stared deeply at the boy''s delicate and beautiful face. Then he suddenly thought of something. "His pupils are golden, similar to that of a golden sun. His very eyes resemble the stars that the mightiestbeings travel through. But if I remember correctly, when me and Linley discussed his eye color, we could only draw up blanks...Maybe his features and eye color are an embodiment of his soul..." Quite truthfully, this heavenly treasure had never seen a being with such beautiful features as Aryia. It was if Aryia''s features were sculpted by the God of Art himself. Him, a being passed down through the order of gods, was quite astonished. "Who are you really, boy....." Chapter 3: The Two Swords Aryiawoke up feeling mentally exhausted, but physically energized, creating a weird situation. "My soul or consciousness must have only been in that plain...weird.... or might have just been a dream," thought Aryia. He looked around the room, and realized it was his room at the village. The cottage that Aryiaand his grandfather lived in was quite small so they both slept in the same room. At the side of his bed, he saw his grandfather looking at the pendant a bit lost about what to do. "Grandpa, what happened?" asked Aryia with a tired voice. "Your martial spirits awoke yesterday." "WHAT! No way, Grandpa! That''sgreat!" Aryia shouted excitedly. "Wait spirit-s?" "Yes Aryia, you have twin martial spirits and the most unusual martial spirits I have ever seen," said the old man. "How do I see my martial spirits, grandpa?" hurriedly said. "Martial spirits are part of you, just will them to appear and they will appear. Sometimes martial spirits may appear on their own to protect you, which is your subconsciousprotecting yourself, so do not be worried if that happens." "I understand, Grandpa." Aryiainnocently asked inside mind for his martial spirits to appear. Even though this version of summoning his martial spirits may have seemed childish, it was still a primitive way for Aryia to give his will. All of a sudden an almighty aura of kings and chaotic desolation spread throughout the whole village. The village members all looked towards Aryiaand the old man''s cottage. In front of Aryiaand his grandfather appeared two ancient swords, one giving the aura of supreme monarchs and the other of primordial chaos. The old man had the urge to bow down towards these swords, as the aura, even with Aryia''s weak will, was too prominent. Aryialooked in shock towards these swords, amazed and excited. However, when he noticed the words on the sword''s, he was instantly reminded of his "dream".Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. "Oathbreaker and Oblivion......" Oathkeeper''s hilt was a gold similar to Aryia''seye color, shining asbright as a yellow star. The sword''sblade was pure white as if a stain would just dirty the sword''s flawless quality. Unnoticed to the old man, the sword slightly trembled under Aryia''sgaze. Oblivion''s hilt was a deep purple as if the cosmos itself was reflected upon it. The blade was pure black, similar to Oathkeeper in design. However, if one were to look long enough at Oblivion''s blade, one would feel as if they were looking at the embodiment of chaos itself. Similar to Oathkeeper, Oblivion slightly trembled under Aryia''s golden gaze. After a minute of silence and amazement, the aura''s of these two swords immediately retracted and changed to that of absolute obedience, shocking the old man. It was if the supremeaura emitted by these two swords, that would make gods even bow their heads, was mere servants in front of Aryia. "I guess the words that old heavenly treasure spoke was true..." thought the old man. "Aryia, retract your martial spirits back into your body." After a minute of fumbling, Aryia finally willed the two martial spirits to retract back into his body. The old man let out a heavy sigh. "Aryia, I will be leaving soon." After a long pause... "...Why....I do not have anyone else..." Aryia cried but with a supposedly calm voice. "Aryia, inside your pendant is a spirit tool that will guide you when I leave." Aryia stared at his pendant. "Hello child," an ancient voice echoed in his mind. "Who..." "I am a friend of your father and grandfather...I will guide you from now on.." "Aryia..." the old man said with a heavy voice. Aryia was innately an observant child with monstrous comprehension, so it was not that much of a surprise to him of his grandfather''s sudden statement. However, that statement still made his heart feel like it was torn to pieces. "Grandfather...please...don''t leave me..." Aryia said in between tears. "I''m going to find your parents," said the old man with a resolute face. "My parents...." "Come, let''s go the mountain top where you always go...I will tell you about your parents," said the old man. The old man grabbed Aryia and instantly vanished, appearing kilometers away at the mountain top. Aryia was stunned by his grandfather''s cultivation. Even with his monstrous comprehension and observation skills, he could have never been able to tell that his grandfather was actually a flying immortal, capable of flying kilometers with just a single thought. *** Meanwhile, outside Aryia and the old man''s cottage.. The majority of villagers, attracted by the sword''s aura, were bowing down in worship. The sword''s aura, although gone, made the simple mortals of the village feel as if a god descended, upon their village. "This is why we are called Sovereign''s village. Phenomena like this occurs every day in our village." The village chief roared shamelessly at a couple of "tourists". Suddenly Aryia and the old man''s cottage burst in flames as if proving the village chief''s claim. Oddly enough, the villagers did nothing to save the two supposed beings who lived in that cottage. Mostly because they could remember exactly who used to live there... Chapter 4: Grandfather Leaves "Grandpa....." Aryia stared at the old man with teary eyes. The old man ignored Aryia''s tears and his face become one of indifference, with a tint of unnoticed sorrow deep in his eyes. "Aryia, I do not know much about your mother, however I do know that her family resides in the upper realm. Your father, on the other hand, was a sworn brother of mine...." "Quite honestly, your father''s origins are not that extraordinary...he was orphaned at a young age and was risen by a humble family...in the capital of the Axin Empire.." Aryia stopped crying and stared at the old man innocently. "Your father showed talent in cultivation, a genius among geniuses...and his martial spirit was unusual too, of course not as unusual as yours..." "Your father was a daring fella, and never betrayed others, especially himself. He was loyal and had just as much willpower that you show...He was truly extraordinary..." The old man, hands behind his back, looked up at the sky, reminscing the past... "Your father one day sent me an urgent message asking me to take care of you...Based on the urgency of his message, I knew something had occurred. He asked me to wait a specific time at the realm gate...and then you emerged..." "...however, I have not heard a message from him for the past 8 years...and his jade slip that he handed me that depicts his life source has broke..." Aryia''s face became one of sadness. Although Aryia had never met his father since he arrived at the mortal realm, any 8 year old would be clearly saddened by the death of their father... "I need to go to the upper realm to find out what happened...He was my closest brother and now your martial spirit has awoken, I have less to worry about..." The old man may have seemed quite indifferent about Aryia''s future, but inside he was extremely worried, similar to a child leaving their parents when joining a sect. The old man did not look at Aryia this whole time...A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. "Aryia...I will be leaving now...you have always called me grandpa...my real name is Azrael....." The old man instantly vanished, leaving an astonished 8 year child, not knowing what to do. Unnoticed to Aryia, the old man had tears running down his face. The relationship between the old man and Aryia was quite deep. Before Aryia had come into his life, the old man had been suffering from depression. Aryia was the light he needed, and they both mutually supported each other till the present. He resisted the urge to turn his head around, because he knew if he saw Aryia''s beautiful, pitiable face, he would instantly return. He knew his departure had to be sudden too, or he could not bear to leave later. He hardened his heart and disappeared... "Linley....your son...I fufilled your promise, however that boy has grown on me too..." the old man thought disappearing into the horizon. Aryia was surprised for a moment...and started crying... No matter how abnormally mature Aryia was for his age, he was still an 8-year old child left by the only figure in his life. He cried.... and cried... until he could not cry anymore... "Grandpa...." "Are you done child?" the pendant said inside his mind. Aryia did not answer. The pendant spirit appeared next to Aryia''s body...He stroked Aryia''s jade like face... " He fell asleep...Poor child...." *** Aryia awoke the next morning still at the mountain top. He looked around confused, and suddenly remembered the events that occurred... His martials spirits awoke... He learned about his parents.... And most importantly, his grandfather left... "Are you done, child?" the pendant spirit asked. "Yes, Mr. Pendant Spirit." Aryia''s expression was still one of depression, unbecoming of his divine face. "Call me Uncle Aldwin, child." "Yes, Uncle Aldwin" "To be honest child, your father and grandfather did not want you to cultivate, however a resolute soul like you is something I cannot restrain...I know you want to go find your parents so you must cultivate dilligently and become powerful...:" "This world has an expression of "highest under heaven", however, in my opinion this is just saying the heavens are your limit...you cannot stop rising, child, you are a future sovereign...are you willing to let the heaven''s control you...?" "No...Uncle Aldwin...I will not.." A spark of determination flashed through Aryia''s golden eyes. "Good then sit down, and practice that nameless breathing technique I provided you..." Aryia proceeded to sit down, but just before he began to meditate...he looked at up the sky... and silently vowed in his heart.. "Grandpa...I will get stronger...I will come find you...and reunite with my parents.." Suddenly, unnoticed by the pendant spirit, Aryia''s golden eyes that resembled the stars themselves became blood red, as if reflecting a massive slaughter. "...and I will kill those who harmed them.." Unbenowst to all, the sword Oblivion in Aryia''s soul sea gave a flow of killing intent... a killing intent so powerful that it would make the killing intent of a legendary Asura seem like a joyful occasion..
