《The Adventure of a Spirt》 Prolouge Looking around myself, I find nothing. Only absolute darkness is in view. Panicking about my situation, I slowly look around myself to find out where I am. The moment I turn around, I see a blinding white light enter my view. Starting to feel slightly dizzy, I slowly pass out. Journey ___________________ The moment I open my eyes I find myself laying in a pure white bed that is really comfortable slowly my eyelids close and I fall asleep¡­ after a quick nap in the bed I start looking around myself, I can see a forest. Wait a forest? Why am I in a forest? Wondering to myself how I ended up in a forest I try to gather my thoughts. Okay I was in a dark space of some sort and before that? Befo..re that? ¡°Ahhh¡± Pain. My head start hurting the moment I try to think about how I ended up in that space. Slowly gathering myself again, I calm down before jumping of the pure white bed. Looking back at the pure white bed, I see it slowly breaking apart into bright lights that slowly start floating towards me. Mouth wide open I see the lights slowly floating towards me. Panicking I try to run away from the floating lights that try to get me, but the moment I take a step I find out that my body is a lot smaller than expected. ¡°Damn¡± Cursing at my small body, I trip over my legs and fall head first to the ground. The floating lights taking advantage of me falling slowly gather around my body and starts closing in. Seeing no way of escaping I give in to my fate of being¡­ Why am I afraid of these floating lights again? Wondering why I was afraid of the floating lights they slowly come near me and enter my body. Out of shock, I fall back down on my butt not expecting something suddenly appearing in front of me. Looking up again I can see the scary transparent screen followed me when I fell down¡­ W¡­what is this? Finally looking at the transparent screen my status screen appears before me. So is this good or bad? In addition, lesser spirt? I am a lesser spirt? Taking in the new information, I slowly look around again. This time I can see small floating lights gathering around me. Stretching out my arm, I slowly touch one of the floating light, which is absorbed by me. Panicking slightly I look at where the strange floating light disappeared. Slowly I start moving towards the other floating lights. This time I don¡¯t touch them, but only move close enough to almost touch them. Slowly a strange connection is formed and I can feel the strange lights around me starting to move according to my will. So, these floating lights are mana. Excited about my new discovery I start playing around with the floating lights until my mana manipulation is lv. 2. Feeling fatigue from playing so much with the floating lights I huddle close to a tree close to where the pure white bed was before slowly falling asleep. Chapter 1: The Flute As I wake up feeling, the sun on my skin and a cool breeze floating by, I slowly open my eyes to meet a new day. Since I did not inspect the area where I am yesterday, because I was tired from playing with the floating lights, I start looking around myself. I am currently in a clearing in a forest, but I notice something about the trees. They are too tall. I think. These trees are between 100 and maybe even 500 meters high. They are much higher than what I thought. The thing about the trees is not that they are high, but that just under the top of the tree blue lights have gathered creating a beautiful view to behold. Slowly walked away from the opening in the forest where I slept, I slowly walk deeper and deeper into the dense forest taking in the mystical view of the trees of the beautiful trees. ___________________ After walking for what seemed like a few hours, I got to another opening. I still haven¡¯t found another living thing in this place. The opening here has a lot more floating lights around and it looks like they gathered around the spring forming a dense cluster of floating lights or in other words a mana gathering spot. Slowly walking closer to the spring I notice that the dense cluster of lights are moving towards me. When they reach me, they slowly enter into my body. The moment they enter my body I feel a warmth spreading through my body, before a transparent screen pops up in front of me. [Lesser Mana Spring absorbed: permanently increase mana by 50] So¡­ this is a mana spring. Hmmm¡­ it says it increases my mana ¡®status¡¯. Calling out my status screen, I confirm that my mana has increased by 50. Happy at the sudden increase in mana, I was so exited I started jumping around the little spring in happiness. After a quick happy jump dance around the little spring, I calm myself down. Now that I think about it, I still don¡¯t know what I look like. Slowly closing in on the spring, I bend over to look at my reflection in the water. What greets me is a little girl who looks around 10 maybe 11, long silver colored hair that goes down to the waist and a pair of deep blue eyes. The skin looked snow white, yet not too white. Touching my skin, it surprised me how soft it was. Looking down I saw that I was wearing a pure white one-piece dress that I had not noticed before. So that¡¯s me? Huh¡­ Thinking there was nothing wrong with me, I start playing with the floating lights again¡­ I really need to stops this I think I am getting addicted to playing with these pretty lights. I also found out that I might be getting addicted to playing around with the floating lights¡­ Walking away from the spring, I continue deeper into the forest. Walking for a few minutes, I see a wall of some sort in front of me. The wall itself is not in good shape with plants growing all over it, most likely a ruin. When I came closer to the wall, I found out that the mana around the wall is denser then it normally is in the forest. Climbing over with help from cracks in the wall, I enter inside and a small city spreads out in front of my view. Ruined houses with plants growing on them, with small glowing mushrooms at the side making it look beautiful and in harmony with nature. In the middle of the small city, is a large spring with a massive cloud of floating lights and something floating in the middle of it? Walking closer to the spring in the middle of the city, I see the object in the middle of the spring. It¡¯s a flute, a beautiful flute carved out from wood, even though it looked simple it had a certain charm to it. I slowly move closer to the flute, but the moment I entered within the range of the spring the floating lights start to rush at me with a speed I had never imagined possible for floating lights. I fall back to the ground with the floating lights following me. In just a moment, they entered my body and I could feel a warm current spread through my body. H... how is it floating? Slowly moving towards the floating flute, stretching out my hand, grabbing it¡­ nothing happened¡­ Just as I thought I was save, a transparent screen pops into existence scaring me so much I fall back down on the ground again. Teary eyed I look up at the scary transparent screen. Why do I get the feeling it¡¯s laughing at me? Thinking such stupid things, I wipe the tears from my eyes and stand up. After calming myself down and saying to myself that the evil transparent screen is not alive, I look at the evil transparent screen in front of me. Checking my stats, I see the increase. Happy with the flute I try playing it. At first, it comes out¡­ Not so good, but after a few minutes it gets better like the flute is improving my playing skill and after a little longer a transparent screen pops up in front of me. [Flute lv. 1(how well you play on the flute)] Happy that my skills had improved I smiled at myself. Looking up, I see the sun is still up. Looking around the small city, I walk towards a house, which looks a lot like a weapon shop.Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. Inside the shop, there is many rusty weapons lying around on the ground here and there. Like a child who found a toy, I start to explore the shop to my heart¡¯s content. After exploring the weapon shop, I go on to a school. I explore every house I found in the small city until there was nothing left. Satisfied with my exploration I found a bakery explored by me a while back. Walking into the bakery, I hurry upstairs. Finding the room I was looking for, I walk inside and discover a soft looking bed. Jumping into the bed, I let out a cute yawn before darkness overtakes me. ___________________ Waking up I find myself looking up on rundown celling with plants here and there. Looking around myself, I find a table covered by glowing mushrooms next to the bed I slept in. Remembering to slowly poke the glowing mushrooms before going outside again, I leave the room with a satisfied smile on my face. When I come outside there is nothing more to do, so I find the place where the wall is cracked and hurry over the wall. After getting over the wall, I start to wander the forest once again. ___________________ A few minutes after leaving the small city behind, I hear a rustling in a nearby bush. Slowly walking closer to the bush, I look at what¡¯s behind the bush. A rabbit. A little white rabbit. Exited at finally finding another living thing, I slowly walk closer to the rabbit. Entering a 5-meter distance from the rabbit, it finally notice my presence. Too slow! Little one...! Trying to escape the rabbit jumps away escaping from the clutches of the predator that appeared out of nowhere. A scene of a little girl hunting a rabbit through the forest for over half an hour with no success plays out in the normally tranquil forest¡­ ¡°Hah, hah, hah¡± Breathing in and out heavily, I look at the rabbit laughing at me in the distance before slowly disappearing into the depths of the forest again. ¡°I will get you next time!¡± I yell at the disappearing rabbit, before laying down in the comfortable grass. Looking up I can see the trees, which before noticing have gotten a lot smaller than before. If they were 100 to 500 meters before, they are now only 15 to 50 meters high. The shining blue light that was in the top of the trees has also disappeared and they look a lot like normal trees now. Saddened by the beautiful blue lights in the top of the trees disappearing, I look around myself to find out where I am. Just as I look to the side, I see something, which looks like a road or something similar. It is a normal road. The thing is that plants are growing here and there almost making the road impossible to see normally. Walking closer, I start to inspect the road that spreads out before me. No glowing mushroom¡­ Only normal plants are present on the overgrown road. Looking towards the direction the road leads, I find out that one way is towards the small city. The other side leads towards a place where there are less floating lights in the air. The trees in that direction is also noticeably smaller then where I am standing right now. Most importantly of all¡­ The rabbit went that way! For such a simple reason, I start walking towards the direction the rabbit went. Walking on the road, I start to see more animals around me. They wander here and there. The forest and the trees have become a normal sized forest. There is less floating lights in the air and they are a little harder to control, but instead of being sad at the floating lights ¡°revolt¡±, I am happy that they started to put up a fight. Spending the next two or so hours walking on the road and playing with the floating lights my mana manipulation and mana vision both went one level up. Looking forwards, I see the forest opening up in front of me. A sharp Light, which I have not seen before shines into the forest from the opening. Seeing the bright rays of light, I can feel my body slowly starting to run towards the opening. Exited just at the thought of something new to explore. The moment I exit the forest the sun¡¯s rays shine down on my body warming it. Feeling the warm rays on my skin, I let out a satisfied sound. Slowly adjusting my eyes to the bright light, I start looking around myself taking in the new surroundings. Around me, the road that I followed to get out of the forest continues into the distance and around a mountain a few miles away. Looking left and right, I see towering mountain encircling me from both sides. To my left a waterfall from one of the mountains forms a river that snakes its way through the beautiful landscape slowly disappearing into the distance following the road around the mountain. Another waterfall creates a lake at the bottom of the mountains. Covered with lush green grass and flowers, the mountain valley appears both beautiful and desolate at the same time. There is only a few animals here and there, so even though there is animals there are too few to cover the entire mountain valley making the valley itself look deserted. Most important of all is the lack of trees. Looking back at the forest again, I find nothing. Only the mountain range that encircles the valley is in view and the road from before continues up to a mountain, before disappearing into what looks like a tunnel. Panicking at the forest that just disappeared, I start to look around myself trying to find out where the forest went. Nothing¡­ H¡­ How can a forest just disappear¡­? With nothing to do and the place I considered my home disappearing into thin air, I start looking for the nearest trees to calm down. Wh¡­ Where are the trees? Noticing that there are not any trees nearby the already panicking me slowly starts to grow scared of the desolate valley. Looking into the distance, I see a tree at the side of the road that disappears into a tunnel. Finding new hope in finding the forest, I take the tree as a sign to be the right way and follow the path that leads towards the tunnel in the distance. The closer I got to the ¡°tree¡± in the distance the more I start to notice that the tree is a little weird and there is something written on it. I try to read the letters on the tree. [¡°Warning slime dungeon¡±] Not knowing the meaning of slime or dungeon, I see no reason to not walk into the tunnel. Entering the tunnel, I know that my choice was right. An old friend lights up the path before me and before I knew it, I let out a scream of happiness running towards one of my old friends from the forest. ¡°GLOWING MUSHROOM!¡± The moment I reach the glowing mushroom, I gave it a friendly poke before continuing further into the tunnel. Just when I thought, I would miss my old friend more glowing mushrooms light up the path before me. Walking along the path, I hear a weird sound in front of me. Slowly moving towards the weird sound, I find a green cube around 50 cm on each side jumping up and down. Amused at the weird jumping cube, I move closer to it. The moment I got within one meter of the weird cube, it starts to jump towards me. Looking at the weird cube moving towards me, I stretch out my hand to poke it. As my finger touches the weird cube, I can feel pain spreading through my finger. Panicking at the sudden pain, I look down to see the weird cube slowly absorbing my hand before letting out a small cry of pain. ¡°Owww!¡± Taking my now sore hand back, I run away from the evil cube with tears in my eyes. Looking back, I can see the evil cube still moving towards me. Not giving me a chance to escape it jumps after me. Realizing that the evil cube is after me, I resolve myself to take on the evil cube and defeat it. Gathering my mana, I try to form a ball. Manipulating the ball of mana, I try to move it towards the evil cube. The moment the ball of mana moved towards the evil cube, it speeds up and I lose control of it. With a small pop sound a transparent screen pops into existence in front of me. [You have unlocked the skill Mana Bolt lv. 1(fires a bolt of condensed mana that deals magic damage to the target) Cost: 20 mana] [Slime lv. 1 slain] [Exp + 10%] Mana bolt? I got a new skill and attack skill! Moreover, Exp¡­ that is needed to level up, so I need to kill to level up? Happy that I got a new skill and an attack skill at that, also finding out how to get Exp, I happily jumped around the tunnel. Looking towards where the slime was before there is now a weird orb of some sort on the ground. Thinking that the slime dropped it I hurry away from it and follow the path deeper into the tunnel. ___________________ Finally coming outside the tunnel, I see a new landscape spread out before me. In front of me, a new forest spreads out as long as the eye can see to both the left and right. Behind me, the mountain I walked through is towering into the sky. Chapter 2: Osaki City Waking up I look around myself. In front of me is the tunnel that was filled with slimes and behind me is the forest that the path from the tunnel leads into. Letting out a short yawn I use the tree, which I slept leaning up against, to push myself off the ground and onto my feet. Now standing up I look towards the entrance of the forest. The trees are normal sized and there is many floating lights inside it. After looking into the forest for a while, I can tell that this is definitely not the forest, which disappeared back in the valley. There is too few floating lights in the air and no glowing mushrooms inside the forest. I continue to look into the forest for a while before slowly forcing myself to follow the path from the tunnel and into the forest. Walking for a while nothing happens. After having followed the path for a few hours, it expands into a road again. The only positive thing since entering the forest was a small increase in floating lights in the air. A short while after the path had become a road the forest ends. Walking outside the forest, I see an open land spreading out before me with hills scattered here and there around the terrain. A few lonely trees, small streams and colorful flowers help covering up the open land. Behind a tree a few meters away, I can see a white rabbit drinking from a stream nearby creating a truly calm and beautiful scene. Wait¡­ W-white rabbit! Like a predator who found its prey my eyes start to shine, I slowly start to move closer to the harmless little white rabbit. 10 meters¡­ 6 meters¡­ 2 meters¡­ I am now hiding in a bush just besides the prey. Looking down at it, I slowly start to move closer¡­ Aaaand Jump! The moment I jump after the little white rabbit it makes a splendid dodge and looks at me like looking on an idiot, I hit the ground face first. I look up at the little white rabbit in the distance with tears in my eyes. Getting up on my feet again, I hurry after the little white rabbit. When I reach the road, it disappears. The little white rabbit was gone once again. Dispirited I walk along the road again. Walking onwards, I continue my journey. ___________________ Walking for another hour or so, I see something in the distance. The closer I got the more I think it looks like the wall from the small city. The difference is just that this wall is not cracked or overgrown, but it looks new and has no plants growing all over it. The most important thing is that something or someone is walking on top of it! When I get closer to the wall I can see that there is people walking on top of it, some have funny animal ears while other look like normal humans. In addition, some looks more like animal then human. Their entire body covered with either scales or fur. Before I had noticed it, I was standing I font of the big door in the wall. One of the funny looking person with rabbit ears and a shiny armor came walking up to me. ¡°Hey little girl, do you want to enter the city?¡± (Guard) Looking inside the big door in the wall, I can see many people both with and without animal traits walking around. The city does not have plants everywhere and there are more floating lights inside. Concluding on my answer, I nod my head in acknowledgement to the question. ¡°Okay, then let me see your information card for a moment¡± (Guard) Tilting my head to the side, I start to wonder what an information card is. Information an¡­d card? A card with information on it? Who¡¯s information? Mine? Wondering what the magic card with information on it is, I start to send a burning gaze towards the guard who asked for the magic card. Noticing me going from confused to excited the guard is caught a little off guard. Looking towards a fellow guard standing nearby. The fellow guard walks up. ¡°Do you not have an information card? Then what about an adventurer card?¡± (Fellow guard) Calming myself down again, I shake my head. ¡°If you don¡¯t have an adventure card either you can get one made at the adventurer guild, I can show you the way over there if needed. Before you enter you just need to touch this crystal here¡± (Fellow guard) The guard who came up a little earlier presents a shining crystal with many floating lights flying around it. ¡°Ooooh¡± (Me) Letting out a voice of amazement, I go towards the shining crystal. Slowly my hand moves towards the crystal. The moment my hand touches the crystal it start to glow a little brighter than before, before returning to its original shining glow. ¡°Okay that is fine just move your hand for now¡± (fellow guard) Moving my hand away from the shining crystal, I look up at the guard who put the shining crystal away. The other guard was already back at the gate again. Looking up at the guard who had the shining crystal, I notice that he is a normal human. ¡°Follow me I will show you the way to the adventure guild, ah you can just call me Dave¡± (Dave) Nodding in affirmative, I walk into the city following behind Dave. Entering the city, a bustling street spreads out before me. Many people walk to and from one place to another, some talking to each other while others are hurrying from place to place. Shops for everything ranging between shops selling magic equipment to books on cooking. Walking along the lively street, I find out that many of the people passing by Dave and I sent us a glance before moving on. Moving through the streets Dave stop at a big building that was in the middle of the street. The building has a few words floating in the air above the entrance saying ¡°Osaki Adventure Guild¡±. Amazed by the floating lights that was used to form words, I stare at the floating words with amazement. After a while, I can feel someone lightly tapping my shoulders. Turning to the side, I can see Dave staring at me. ¡°So? What do you think? This is the city¡¯s adventure guild!¡± (Dave) Dave looks proudly at the majestic building that is the adventure guild of this city. After bragging about how awesome, the adventure guild is Dave and I enter inside. Inside there are many people standing in lines waiting. At the side, there is a board, which has ¡°Quests¡± written on it. Looking towards the quest board, I can see that it is divided into different ranks. Looking up I can see that there is something, which looks a lot like a bar upstairs. A lot of people are eating and some drinking chatting happily together about the so called quests they have completed. I look up at Dave and see him looking at me. Looking back at him with a puzzled face Dave starts to talk. ¡°This is the adventure guild! The lines over there is for people who have completed a quest¡± (Dave) Dave points towards the line where most people are lining up. ¡°That line over there is for registering at the adventure guild¡± (Dave) Dave says and points towards an almost empty line. ¡°We need you to register over here to get an adventure card; this also helps to prove your identity. You can register at the adventure guild from the age of eight, even though most tasks are things like collecting herbs or cleaning. The higher level things at the adventure guild is monster subjugation¡± (Dave) With these words, Dave and I go to the line for registering in the adventures guild. When Dave and I reach the registration desk, a young woman with horns on her head and scales covering her left arm comes into view. Dave starts talking to the young woman. After talking to the woman Dave¡¯s face is a little red, but he still looks down at me and starts to explain. ¡°Just follow the pretty sister here and she will help you get your adventure card made. Shia don¡¯t do anything strange to her!¡± (Dave) Dave sent a glance towards the young woman, whose name was Shia. ¡°No worries I won¡¯t do anything to her. Come here follow me and we will have your adventure card made in no time¡± (Shia) Chuckling lightly Shia send a smile my way signaling me to follow her. Following Shia, we move upstairs. Upstairs looks like a place to eat and drink, so it looks a lot like a restaurant. However, with adventures drinking and chatting here and there the felling you get from it is not that of a restaurant, but a bar. Moving past the area where people eat and drink Shia and I move towards a door located at the spot in the back of the bar. Opening the door Shia walked into the room. Following behind her I also entered the room. The room is small and there is not any decorations or windows inside the room. In the middle of the room, a big crystal ball is laying on a table letting out a few floating lights into the surrounding air. Moving closer I see Shia already standing beside the crystal begging me to come closer to her. ¡°Place your hand on the crystal and it will read your status. After that it will create an adventure card which can be used to accept quests or enter a city¡± (Shia) Touching the big crystal, I can feel something inside of me leaving my body before it enters the crystal. After a moment a transparent screen pops up in front of me [No name chosen!] [Chose a random name?] [Yes] [No] Touching the yes in front of me, a new screen pops up in front of me. [Lesser spirit has been named Lyna] [Title ¡°Named¡± Gained] Before I get time to calm down the big crystal on the table start to tremble lightly. Trembling for a minute or so the big crystal slowly returns to its former calm. Just when I think, it is over the big crystal shoots out strands of light that gather and form something, which looks like a card. After the card was formed the big crystal calms down again. Before the card stops floating in the air, a hand comes out of nowhere and snatches it. ¡°So your name was Lyna? Huh? A spirit? Are people from the spirit race not living deep in the forest and rare? Moreover, you can take on a human form¡­ Well it¡¯s not really my problem and the adventure guild don¡¯t have prejudice against people from different races¡± (Shia) Saying so Shia hands over my adventurer card with a smile on her face. Grabbing the card, I look down on it to see what it displays

Looking behind myself, I see over 10 cats following behind closely. Taking a turn by a corner, I hide myself inside behind a tree. Peeking out after five or so minutes have passed, I see that the cats are gone. ¡°What did those cats want from me?¡± (Me) I ask myself. The cats that ran after me just appeared out of nowhere and started running after me. It started with two cats and slowly more and more joined the hunt of the innocent little spirit. Looking up at the darkening sky, I move towards the guild to meet up with Shia as planned. ___________________ Standing in front of the adventure guild, I see Shia walking towards me while waving at me. ¡°Lyna over here¡± (Shia) Shia calls. Walking over to her, I ask her. ¡°Shia where are we going?¡± (Me) ¡°To my house of course¡± (Shia) Shia answers my question and we start to walk towards Shia¡¯s house. This city is divided into three districts. The living district where people live. The Shopping district where the shops are located and Adventure district where the adventure guild, inns and weapon shops are located. Shia¡¯s house is located in the living district. After walking for a few minutes, we made it to Shia¡¯s house. It is not so big, but not small either. When we get inside the house, Shia guides me to a room with a bed in it and says that it is my room from now on before leaving the room. After inspecting the room, I walk to the place where Shia went. Looking up at Shia I can see that she is making something. Moving closer I see that it looks like soup or something similar to it. After the soup was, finished Shia sits down by a nearby table and starts to put the soup into her mouth swallowing it. Getting up from the bed, I walk out of the room waiting for Shia to wake up. I sit in the room that we ate in last night. Boring ? Feeling bored waiting, I slowly crawl onto the table in the room. Laying on the table, I find a comfortable positon and fall asleep. ___________________ Feeling someone touching my body, I jolt awake. Trying to fight the mana bolt, the white rabbit fires an icicle against it. The Icicle and mana bolt clashes and cancel each other out, but just as the rabbit thinks it survived another mana bolt comes. With a weak squeaking sound, the rabbit lets out its last breath. [Ice Rabbit lv. 3 slain] [Exp +3] So white rabbit is ice rabbit? Realizing white rabbit was more than just a normal rabbit, I start to wonder how many rabbits exist in this world. Looking at the rabbit it slowly starts to become floating lights disappearing in front of me. From the floating lights, a small blue gem is created where the rabbit was just a moment ago. Going forwards, I pick up the little blue gem. Not knowing where to put it, I just hold it in my hand and move on. Walking in The Great Rabbit Planes, I see many kinds of rabbits I didn¡¯t think existed. Along the way, I killed another five rabbits. Looking at my Exp I am almost lv 3. Other than that, my mana bolt also leveled up to 3. I only need to kill another four rabbits to complete my first quest now. Looking around myself I sadly can¡¯t see any white rabbits only a few winged rabbits and one fire breathing rabbit. Just as I thought there were not any white rabbits, I see one in the distance. Finding prey, I run after it. It looks like it saw me and is running away from me, but I am faster than the rabbit so I am gaining on it. With time, I should be able to catch it. The rabbit moves up and down hills and we keep running like this for a few minutes before the white rabbit comes to a halt in front of a lake. Thinking it has given up, I fire a mana bolt after it. It responds with shooting an icicle intercepting the mana bolt, but I quickly shoot another two mana bolts after it. The rabbit is hit by one of the mana bolts and lays weakly on the ground in front of me. ¡°Hehe your mine now little one¡± (Me) Letting out a creepy laugh I slowly move closer to the rabbit while gathering mana for another mana bolt. Just as I shoot the mana bolt towards the little white rabbit an icicle unexpectedly comes towards my mana bolt intercepting it. Looking towards the origin of the icicle, I see a heroic looking white rabbit standing on top of a stone making a grand entrance. The rabbit laying weakly on the ground makes a few weak squeaking sounds towards the heroic rabbit. The heroic looking rabbit makes an angry gesture towards me. Faster than I can think the heroic looking rabbit charges towards me with a speed that is much faster than the other white rabbits. Firing off 3 mana bolts the heroic rabbit responds with 3 icicle intercepting the mana bolts. Not expecting the mana bolts to be intercepted, I am hit by the heroic rabbit that was charging towards me. Feeling the pain in my stomach, I let go of the blue gems in my hand and look towards the heroic rabbit that has distanced itself from me. I can¡¯t beat that rabbit like this, I need something else¡­ Gathering my mana again, I shoot 3 mana bolts after the rabbit again. This time however I destroy the mana bolts letting the mana reform into a cluster of small mana bolts that rain down on the shocked heroic rabbit. Picking up the blue gems, I sit down on the ground. Taking out my flute, I start to play it to recover my mana and health. After playing for half an hour, I recovered completely. My flute skill also went up by one level. Standing up again, I walk back towards the city. Even though I did not enter that deep into The Great Rabbit Planes, just entering a little bit of it is already so dangerous. Walking towards a weapon shop in the adventure district, I enter the shop and look for the weapon I saw back when I explored the city. A double-edged short sword that is no more than 22 cm in length. The price for the short sword is only 8 silver, so without waiting I buy myself my first weapon. Leaving the weapon shop behind I walk towards Shias house. Sneaking in through an open window, I enter Shias house. Feeling tired with all the things that happen today I go back to my room and throw myself into the bed before slowly falling asleep. Chapter 4: Infiltration Looking through the house, I see no sign of Shia anywhere. I just woke up recently. Looking outside it should be late in the morning, so Shia probably went to work already. Today I planned to infiltrate the big mansion in the center of the city. Why? Because it looks fun and I, don¡¯t want to go out on quests for a while after fighting the rabbits yesterday. Jumping through a window, I head outside towards the big mansion in the middle of the city. I really need to ask Shia for a key. Not having time to think about the beautiful view, I jump into a nearby bush and hide. Soon after two guards, enter. They are the two guards that was standing in front of the gate just a moment ago. They look around, searching for me. After not finding me, they walk towards the middle aged man in front of the mansion. After talking for a bit, the middle aged man seems to be smiling for some reason. The guards left soon after. Waiting around for a few minutes, I notice that the middle aged man leaves to go inside the mansion. Sneaking through the garden, I come to the spot that the middle aged man was a moment ago. A nice looking chair is there. Why not relax for a moment? After all, I¡¯m already inside. No need to hurry. Coming up with a reason that is justifiable, I move towards the nice looking chair. Beside the chair, there is a table with snacks and juice on it. Helping myself, I eat the snacks and drink the juice. Feeling refreshed I sit back down on the chair making myself feel comfortable. Not being able to take the innocent look of a little girl, the old butler starts to make an apologizing face. Fufu, I knew it would work. Giving a sad look to finish the old butler off, I claim my victory. ¡°Its fine little girl. This only a little scratch, I have been through worse¡± (Bates) Giving him one my brightest smiles, I get a gentle smile in return from the old butler. ¡°Well, now that you two are done¡± (Charles) Remembering the person both Bates and me ignored we turn around to see Charles starring at us with a smiling face. ¡°What about starring to explore the mansion now¡± (Charles) Feeling a slight chill down my spine for some reason, Bates and I follow Charles into the next room of the mansion. Charles does not like to be ignored? I think¡­ We go from one room to another exploring the wonders of the mansion. A big bath. A wonderful room full of all sorts of armor and weapons. A liba¡­ A giant dinner hall with no books in it. The entire mansion is much bigger than I expected it to be. Charles said that there is space magic installed in some of the rooms to make them bigger on the inside, but I do not really understand how it works. Around afternoon, a guard came to find Charles saying someone was outside the mansion. Going outside, I can see Shia standing there with a splendid smile on her face. Hiding behind my new friend Charles, I look towards Shia slowly moving over while ignoring the guards. The guards are sent away by Charles, before getting close enough to stop Shia. ¡°S-Shia¡­¡± (Me) Managing to get some words out while hiding behind Charles, I look up towards Shia who is slowly closing in. ¡°Someone you know?¡± (Charles) ¡°Y-yes¡± (Me) Just as I finish speaking. ¡°Oh. Sending another pleading gaze towards Charles, he averts my eyes looking the other direction. After that Shia ¡®taught¡¯ me how to behave in the city, it was a very painful experience¡­
