    Prologue


    In a narrow street filled with people in Hangzhou, China, a somewhat tall man in his early 20s can be seen blending along with the crowd. He wore a white buttoned up long sleeve shirt along with a black set of trousers and over his shoulders is a dark brown small sling bag.


    To describe his facial features to be average would be a complete understatement yet to say he was handsome was a little too much, his dark brown eyes are clean and clear, giving anyone a sense of gentleness, his nose and lips were just right and his black hair although slightly messy was nice and kept.


    He, overall, had a calm and carefree temperament and because of this, he obtained many friends throughout his average life. However, although he had many friends, he had not gotten a single girlfriend due to the request of his parents to focus on his studies.


    Picking up the vibrating phone from his pocket, he answered: ¡±Hello?¡±


    ¡°Hey, you free this weekend Yu? We¡¯re planning on having a group study for the upcoming finals.¡±, the voice of an energetic male replied in a familiar tone, expressing a hint that the two had known each other for quite some time.


    Recognizing the voice, the man named Yu replied casually: ¡°Yeah I don¡¯t mind, just tell me when and where.¡±


    ¡°Alright, we¡¯re still deciding one where we¡¯ll go so I¡¯ll call you again when we¡¯ve decided.¡±


    ¡°Aye.¡± Yu replied as he ended the call. He continued on his way as he crossed the pedestrian lane. But his peaceful walk ended abruptly as the sound of sirens can be heard in the distance.


    Turning his head to look, time slowed down as he managed to see a speeding van being chased by police cars. As he did however, he realized a grave matter, and that he was standing directly in front of it. He couldn¡¯t even heave a sigh nor have his life flash before his eyes as he was hit by the speeding van, directly sending his poor self to the next life.


    Expecting himself to be reincarnated as a human for all the good he¡¯s done in his life, he was greatly surprised as he could still think and wonder.


    Am I alive? That¡¯s not right, I can¡¯t feel a single thing¡­. Maybe I¡¯m in a vegetable state? No, I wouldn¡¯t be conscious then¡­ Then what?! Yu murmured continuously, frustrated as he was thinking of his current situation. He could not see anything, nor could he hear or feel anything! As a human who''s very used to having those sense, the sudden lack of them started to drive him mad and insane.


    But as he thought, the scenery around him drastically changed as he descended from the pitch black darkness into a vast and endless sea of glowing greenish blue light.


    Beautiful¡­ Yu said as he was completely mesmerized by the scene, he was someone who enjoyed looking at beautiful scenery and the scene that only the dead could witness and appreciate was something he greatly appreciated. He was completely immersed in this scene, causing him to have a trance as he slowly descended into it. But the closer he got, the more he realized as to what his current predicament is.


    So I am dead, and those greenish blue lights should be souls¡­ and I¡¯m about to descend and become a part of it. Yu said, trying to sigh yet could not causing him to have another fit of anger.


    But before he could touch its surface, he stopped. Confused as to why, an evil light covered his soul as if it were trying to pull him out.


    Frightened by this scene, he was helpless as his rice grain sized soul was pulled from his descent into a small rift that could barely fit a pen. Although its size was so-so if it was looked at from the perspective of humans, the same could not be said for the small and insignificant soul of Yu. He was completely terrified, he felt like crying but he remembered that his uncle once said that men don¡¯t cry, and even if he wanted to cry he would be unable to as he was nothing but a soul being pulled into the rift.


    Good bye oh great sea of souls! Yu shouted in his consciousness as he was finally pulled into the rift. As he did he found himself in a beautiful and boundless night sky, high above the ground and beyond the clouds. Realizing this, Yu was terrified yet again, but to his surprise, he did not fall as he floated calmly in the sky.


    Looking around, he realized that the sky had a massive moon whose color was of a beautiful silvery blue, lighting up the entire sky with its greatness. Yu wanted to appreciate its beautiful appearance more but he discovered a figure at the corner of his eyes.


    A middle-aged man, who like himself was floating in the sky, wearing a beautiful set of white and gold clothes, giving him a sense of divinity and even more so as his body radiated a beautiful pure white glow, making him stand out in the middle of the night sky. He had a head full of white hair and his facial features were nothing short of perfection, although he had a few wrinkles under his clear blue eyes, they, instead of looking out of place, gave him an elderly like feel, making anyone feel the need to shrink down in front of him out of respect.


    Yu then decided to nickname him ¡°Perfect grandfather¡± for now.


    Perfect grandfather¡¯s face was calm and serene as he called out: ¡°A soul? I¡¯m amazed that you were able to pull one out of the sea of souls.¡±


    So it was the sea of souls! Yu secretly thought as he continued observing.


    ¡°He heh, spare me your flattery. This soul will be your undoing!¡± A cold and cruel voice sounded out in the night sky, making things more ominous than what they really are.


    Looking back, Yu saw a terrifying scene. An old man, whose skin was shriveled, malnourished and littered with writing, his eyes were pitch black and empty, causing anyone to have a sense of dread as they peered onto it, his head was bald, devoid of hair and what replaced it instead were even more writings. The old man wore a set of evil looking black and red clothing, making him look even more ominous. Much like Perfect grandfather, he had a glow around his body although this one was looking evil and ominous.


    Yu decided to nickname him ¡°Very Evil grandfather¡±.


    This Very Evil grandfather looks scary¡­ looks like he was the one who dragged me here. Yu thought again, deciding to play the role of a spectator.


    ¡°What can this small and insignificant thing do to me? Although its spirit energy is slightly stronger than average and its radiance more pure, it is still not enough to help you in this fight.¡± Perfect grandfather replied as he had a hint of worry in his eyes.


    What do you mean small and insignificant thing?! I maybe be small but my mother always told me that I had a big heart! Hearing his belittlement, Yu could not help but rebuke, however, as he was nothing more than a stranded soul, his cries were not heard.


    ¡°He heh, your arrogance shall be your fall.¡± Very Evil grandfather replied as he made multiple different gestures with his hands and began chanting an evil mantra like verse. As he did, the ominous aura around him grew immensely strong as it covered half the night sky.


    ¡°You!¡± Perfect grandfather started to panic as he started doing the same, although quite opposite as he had a more righteous appearance as his pure white aura covered the remaining half of the sky.


    What is this?! Am I in a movie?! But I don¡¯t think normal humans are capable of flight¡­ let alone those powerful auras¡­ What have I gotten myself into¡­ Yu thought in despair as could not do anything to the scene in around him.


    ¡°Useless!!! Since I can only resort to this method, the two of us shall perish! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!¡± Very Evil grandfather replied as his aura grew even more and more powerful, with this however, Yu¡¯s soul became covered with an evil radiance as it attempted to tear a hole into it.


    AAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGHHHH!!! Yu could not help scream as he experienced an immensely great pain, as if his very being was being torn and shredded. However, as he was without a body, no one was able to hear this soul tearing scream. Puns


    Soon enough, a hole was made, and with it, Very Evil grandfather finished his gestures as he shouted: ¡°HAHAHAHAHAHA, with this, we both perish!¡±


    As he did, he, along with all his evil aura, was dragged into the tear into Yu¡¯s soul. After his aura was fully absorbed, Yu¡¯s soul which grew from the size of a grain of rice to the size that could rival that of the moon in the sky. Along with the increase of its size, the tear in Yu¡¯s soul grew equally as massive. But unbeknownst to the two old men, Yu¡¯s pain ceased.


    Eh? The pain stopped? Why? Confused, Yu suddenly realized that another presence entered his soul, causing it to become chaotic.


    AAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHH!!! The presence screamed as it grew weaker and weaker. Before completely disappearing, leaving Yu alone in his soul. But as it did, the pain transmitted again to Yu, causing to scream a soundless scream yet again.


    Outside his soul, Perfect grandfather grew increasingly terrified.


    ¡°You madman!¡± Perfect grandfather shouted as he tried to resist the great force that wanted to drag him into Yu¡¯s soul. Using his utmost best to escape its pull, numerous beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.


    But it was all for naught as he was pulled into the soul eventually, causing its size to grow ever twice, overshadowing the moon, causing the sky to turn from its slightly blue tinge into a greenish blue color.The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site.     This scene caused everyone, within the radius a several hundred thousand miles, who was still awake and gazing at the sky at the time to be immensely terrified as in the sky floated two spheres. One was the moon they were all familiar with, the other was an enormous greenish blue sphere, more than twice the size of the moon. The scene caused an uproar in the world, making everyone worried and awed at its majesty.


    ¡°What is this?! A phenomenon? I¡¯ve never heard of anything like this! But this sphere¡­ it looks familiar¡­ A soul? But it¡¯s too massive! What is it!?¡± A beautiful female voice rang out inside a grand room as it grew ever worried about the great sphere in the sky. Terrified, the figure vanished from the room as it went outside to observe it. She was not alone, as countless experts from all around this world flew at great speeds to observe this grand phenomenon.


    As this world was in turmoil, Perfect grandfather who was pulled into the great sphere shouldered Yu¡¯s pain in his stead, causing him to scream out in pain and horror as his presence, much like Very Evil grandfather, grew weaker and weaker before thoroughly vanishing.


    Seeing this worried Yu, he clenched his nonexistent teeth as he prepared to brace the pain again, but to his surprise, he felt no pain. Confused, he observed the situation outside, only to feel that things are somewhat tinier and look as if it was painted over with a greenish blue tint, causing him to grow even more confused.


    As he hungered for answers, a clear and profound voice that was neither male or female rang out in his soul.


    ¡°Amazing! To see a soul of a mortal being grow to this size, you¡¯re an interesting one!¡± the voice said.


    Eh? Who are you! Yu asked.


    Not minding the impatience in Yu¡¯s voice, the voice replied: ¡°I am one who stands above all in the realm. A being known as a God in your language.¡±


    I see¡­ Yu weakly replied.


    ¡°Not surprised? Every time I reveal myself to a mortal they would immediately bow down apologize for not realizing who I am.¡± The voice said with a tinge of surprise.


    Sorry to disappoint, but I¡¯m just too damn tired to be surprised. I died, got sent to the sea of souls and was pulled out, experienced great pain as two old men fought and got sucked into my soul resulting in their demise. Yu said as he wanted to sigh but could not.


    ¡°I see, you¡¯ve had a rough day child. But sadly I cannot return you to the sea of souls.¡± The voice replied, trying to comfort Yu.


    I see¡­ am I stuck here? Forever floating in the sky? I mean, the view is nice and all and I won¡¯t get tired of seeing it anytime soon but¡­ I¡¯ll get tired eventually and probably go insane¡­ Yu said, worried for his future predicament.


    ¡°Fear not child, I shall provide you with a body.¡± The voice said proudly.


    Really?! Will I be able to do what those old men were doing?! Yu replied excitedly. As a child he¡¯s always wanted to become like those immortals from the novels he¡¯s read who were able to move the mountains and calm the seas with a flick of their fingers. Hearing he¡¯ll probably be able to live in this world caused him to become thoroughly excited.


    ¡°Most likely, with a soul this powerful, you¡¯re nothing less of a demigod. Although you lack skill, and experience, just with your sheer strength alone will allow you to live at the peak of this world. Although I was worried for the balance of power at first, but after reading through your memories you don¡¯t seem to be an evil fellow, and the influence of those two souls that you absorbed has been removed by me, so I don¡¯t have to be worried of you taking over this world.¡±


    Eh? Your read through my memories? Removed their influence? Yu replied dumbfounded.


    ¡°Indeed, but don¡¯t worry child, I have not tampered with it. As for the two souls, the only thing that remains is their strength which you have surprisingly absorbed.¡± The voice replied with amusement.


    Was I not supposed to absorb it? Yu asked worriedly.


    ¡°You were, but what surprised me is that you¡¯re still there and not them. I guess your perseverance is quite good.¡± The voice said, giving Yu the imagine of it nodding to itself.


    Will I be fine? My soul won¡¯t blow up right? Yu asked again.


    ¡°You¡¯ll be fine, consider their strength as yours and ease your worries, your soul is currently stable and I doubt anything can cause it to be chaotic.¡±


    That¡¯s good Yu said, as he was about to sigh in relief only to remember that he can¡¯t. Sensing his troubles, the voice chuckled.


    ¡°Now then, I can make the body to your liking, do you wish to become an extremely handsome young man? Or perhaps you want to become a female this time around?¡± The voice asked.


    Making it look like my old self is fine, I shouldn¡¯t be too greedy. Yu calmly said.


    ¡°I see, well that¡¯s a good trait. I like you even more child!¡± The voice replied gleefully.


    Soon, Yu found himself from the middle of the sky to the calm and serene meadows below. The night sky returned to its original color as if there wasn''t a massive sphere floating in the sky to begin with.


    Feeling up his new body, Yu was relieved to find that there were no abnormalities, the only difference was he was wearing a clean set of grey robes. He then found a simple silver ring on his right hand¡¯s middle finger, confused as to what it was, a voice rang out in his head.


    ¡°That is a divine sealing ring, don¡¯t let its looks fool you as it has the ability to even seal the power of your terrifying soul!¡± The voice from before said as a warning.


    ¡°I see, but can I take it off?¡± Yu replied worriedly, after all, how can he be like one of those awesome immortals if his strength is sealed?


    ¡°Fear not, you can unseal it without removing the ring, just imagine yourself without restraint and you will be as powerful as what you should be. Let me tell you child, it was hard making a body that can withstand that kind of power, let alone suppress it to the point of hiding it from plain sight. If your body was any weaker, your alone aura would be enough to paint the sky greenish blue again.¡± The voice explained.


    ¡°Paint it greenish blue? That was me?!¡± Yu said in surprise.


    ¡°Indeed. Go ahead and try unleashing your full strength. No one¡¯s around to see anyways.¡± The voice replied, somewhat amused with Yu.


    ¡°Okay.¡± Yu replied as he imagined himself without restriction. Soon an immensely powerful greenish blue aura surged from his body, causing the wind to blow outward and making the calm surrounding scenery look chaotic.


    Surprised, Yu decided to throw a punch into the air.


    BANG!!!


    But to his absolute surprise, the somewhat weak looking punch blew a force so powerful, it caused the surrounding wind to blow even more chaotic and the ground in front of where he threw the punch to be dug out in a slight fan like manner. The ground was decimated from where he stood to a hundred meters or so in front of where his punch was launched, creating a 3 meter deep crevice that grew deeper as it went further.


    Beads of sweat formed on Yu¡¯s forehead as he even he himself was scared of his strength, before asking the voice: ¡°Is there a way to adjust this?¡±


    ¡°Full of requests aren¡¯t you?¡± The voice replied.


    ¡°Sorry for the trouble¡­¡± Yu said with a small voice.


    ¡°I¡¯m just joking! It¡¯s fine, just give me a few seconds.¡± The voice made a small chuckle and after a few moments, the ring on his right hand grew more complex, with lines and symbols being magically carved into it by a golden light.


    ¡°There we go, now you can access up to ten levels of strength, each form revealing a 1/10th of your power. Satisfied?¡± The voice replied.


    ¡°Yes, thank you very much.¡± Yu very much wanted to bow but as the voice was in his own head, he didn¡¯t know what direction to bow.


    ¡°It¡¯s fine. It would¡¯ve been troublesome for me if I didn¡¯t. I¡¯ve also given you a small spatial bag, that should be in front of you. It contains a map, money, food and clothing so you should be fine.¡± The voice replied, comforting Yu.


    ¡°Many thanks!¡± Yu replied back with a smile as he picked up the sling bag that was similar to what he had before, but again, realizing that the voice was in his head, he ended up looking like a fellow who was not only talking to himself, but smiling for no reason in the middle of a chaotic meadow as well.


    ¡°Oh right, how do you open the bag? And how do I seal my strength again¡­¡± Yu said somewhat shy as he¡¯s been asking questions since the beginning.


    Chuckling a bit, the voice replied: ¡°Just imagine yourself opening it, and imagine your strength being restricted. As to how you can open up the seals just think of the number as each represents what amount of will be released. For example, the number three releases 3/10ths of your strength and so on and so forth. As for the meadow, I¡¯ll fix it up for you to make you less suspicious.¡±


    The voice said as the scene in front of him changed back to how it was, seeing this, Yu was surprised, but it soon died down as he suppressed his strength to a what it had been back in his original world.


    ¡°I see, many thanks! Again¡­¡± Yu replied, still shy due to the amount of help the voice has been.


    ¡°It¡¯s fine.¡± The voice said kindly.


    ¡°I haven¡¯t even asked you what your name is even¡­¡± Yu said, even more shy than before.


    ¡°It¡¯s Tian Shen, well at least what I¡¯m often called.¡± Tain Shen replied.


    ¡°Okay, again, many thanks Tian Shen!¡± Yu said wanting to bow yet again. Feeling helpless, he decided to bow anyways, giving him the appearance of someone who¡¯s bowing in the middle of a meadow for no reason at all. Sensing him bow, Tian Shen chuckled as he he felt satisfied.


    ¡°You¡¯re an interesting on I¡¯ll give you that child. Now that everything is settled I¡¯ll bring you somewhere else as it appears that there are people heading your way. Hold on!¡± Tian Shen said as Yu vanished from the meadow appearing elsewhere.


    As he did, experts from all around started to gather in the sky above the meadow.


    ¡°Hmph! It appears that there are others that came here to investigate!¡± A tall arrogant handsome man who¡¯s wearing a beautiful dark green robe said. Behind him are more than ten experts emitting a grand green aura, as if they¡¯re trying to suppress everybody else.


    ¡°Fufu, your Thousand Poison Sect isn¡¯t the only group in the world Da Feng.¡± A mischievous sounding female voice rang out. A girl with an alluring figure wearing a colorful robe appeared, her beautiful face was calm, as if she didn¡¯t place Da Feng in her eyes.


    ¡°Shut your mouth Li Mei! Your Lotus pavilion is nothing compared to our Thousand Poison Sect!¡± Da Feng arrogantly said as he narrowed his eyes. From this short exchange one could tell that they are not in friendly terms.


    ¡°Now isn¡¯t the time to fight, a great phenomenon just occurred and if I am not mistaken it should be the birth of a Divine Soul, maybe even stronger.¡± A calm handsome youth who¡¯s eyes are lightly closed said. He appeared to be wearing a black set of armor that is decorated with golden dragons. Seeing him appear made the two calm down.


    ¡°I agree with the Sir Prince. We should spend our energy trying to resolve our current issue.¡± A handsome middle aged man said. On his face was a friendly smile, calming the current situation down, he wore a beautiful white robe and his hair tied to the back of his head.


    ¡°Oh? Even the great Kuang De is investigating. It appears that this Divine Soul is something to be worried about.¡± Li Mei replied making multiple gestures with his hands to her back, causing a few females dressed in a similarly colored set of light armor to appear behind her.


    ¡°Indeed, this event is most likely the result of a fight between two peak Saints.¡± The man called Kuang De replied, his face looking somewhat dim.


    Hearing the words Peak Saint caused everyone¡¯s hairs to stand, Long Ye, the first to speak, said: ¡°Then this is definitely something we should not ignore.¡±


    ¡°But what can we do? The powerful aura vanished without a trace several minutes ago and I don¡¯t believe that we have the means to track it.¡± Kuang De replied.


    ¡°We won¡¯t be the only ones in this field, it¡¯s likely that all the powerhouses of the Divine Continent is coming to investigate.¡± Long Ye said, and soon enough, more than a dozen powerful experts started appearing from all around.


    While all this was happening, Yu appeared in the middle of a forest, somewhat troubled as he has no idea where he is at the moment.


    ¡°Don¡¯t worry, if you get the map from your bag you should see a red dot. That is where you are at the moment, convenient no?¡± Tian Shen in his head said.


    ¡°Mhm, quite so!¡± Yu replied in relief.


    Sensing his relief, Tian Shen replied: ¡°Well then, good luck on your adventure! I need to go handle other things at the moment so I¡¯ll be gone for a few years. I¡¯m sure you¡¯ll be fine without me¡±


    ¡°Yeah¡­ Many thanks Tian Shen!¡± Yu said as he bowed deeply.


    ¡°Hahaha, I¡¯ll talk to you again when I can.¡± Tian Shen said as he left, leaving Yu alone in the middle of the forest. Pulling a map out of his bag he mumbled to himself: ¡°Now then, where is the nearest City¡­ or town, I¡¯m sure they have an inn or something similar¡­. Right?¡±

 Chapter 1: Nantian City

    Chapter 1: Nantian City


    In the middle of the night in a certain forest, a man wearing a grey robe could be seen fiercely reading a large map. The map could easily be 2 meters long and a meter and a half wide, making it difficult to read due to its size.


    ¡°Where is it?!¡± Yu groaned in annoyance as he tried his best to find the red dot that Tian Shen mentioned. Sadly, the map was just too massive for poor little Yu, as whether it be continents, countries, cities, towns, landmarks, the map has it as long as it is in this world. Though as convenient as that may sound, finding where you are for someone like Yu who has no idea where or what this place is even called is difficult.


    Leaving things to faith, Yu grabbed the straightest twig he could find, propping it straight before letting it fall, after doing so, Yu headed towards where the twig pointed in a fast pace, releasing a 1/10th of his strength, he ran for a while, seemingly filled to the brim with energy.


    ¡°Woooo!¡± Yu felt refreshed, as this was a speed he could not accomplish in his previous body. Although his previous body was well trained and could run quick compared to others, the speeds he is currently displaying would leave the old Yu in the dust with a single step.


    As he enjoyed running forward, he caught a glimpse of activity a couple miles away. Yu just now did not realize that it was in the middle of the night yet he could see that far, this meant that his eyesight improved immensely, granting him the ability to easily see things far away regardless of light.


    Wasting no time he rushed to see what it was, dearly wishing they were normal humans. Sadly his wish will not be fulfilled.


    Soon, Yu arrived in front of what appears to be a 3 meters thick and a 100 meters long black scaled boa that was releasing a thick dark purple aura, whose scales are littered with dark purple runes and in front of it is a gorilla that was releasing a thick sky blue colored aura whose fur is as white as snow and eyes are as red as fresh blood. Its size did not lose out to the boa as it stood at a towering height of 20 meters.


    Seeing this scene, Yu was strangely calm, he did not know why, but when he looked at these two immensely powerful beasts of this world, he could not help but not feel any fear from it.


    Realizing this thought, Yu became a bit afraid of himself, after all, a normal human being would be scared silly after seeing these two giants. Remembering that he was one of those normal human beings, he realized that these two beasts are truly terrifying! But believing he could easily run away with his power, Yu stayed.


    If an average human stood in his place, their bodies would¡¯ve already exploded from the sheer pressure that these two beasts were emitting, fortunately, Yu was no normal man, rather he¡¯s someone who¡¯s already considered as a demigod in the eyes of someone like Tian Shen!


    The auras these two emitted felt like wind to Yu as he decided to play the role of a spectator again, somewhat excited to see how these two beasts would fight. However, contrary to what he was expecting to see, the two beasts aimed their sights onto Yu. Feeling their gaze and figuring out their intention, Yu released 1/10th of his strength getting ready to run away. But he could not get the chance to run as the boa slithered forward like lightning! Sealing all routes of escape with its massive body. As for the gorilla, it went behind Yu as it observed his every move, waiting for a chance to strike.


    Feeling annoyed, Yu released even more of his strength, reaching 4/10ths of his true strength. This sudden increase in power shocked the boa and gorilla, but Yu did not give them time at all. Yu decided to leap at the snake first as it was the closest, but since Yu does not know how to control his body at this level of strength, he ended up sending his body head first into the boa¡¯s skull, piercing through it like a hot knife through butter.


    As Yu was sent through the boa¡¯s skull, his body was covered from head to toe with blood, flesh and grey matter, feeling sick, he wanted to vomit but before he could he crash landed to the ground face first. Now his body was even dirtier, with dust, leaves and the previous gore from the boa. As for the boa itself, it died instantly, dying a gruesome death as its head fell limp twitching at times. The gorilla, seeing this scene, was utterly terrified as it ran away for dear life.


    ¡°Ughhh, this is disgusting!¡± Yu groaned as he wanted to get rid of the filth on his body. Yu then decided to find a lake or river, and fortunately, may it be due to the amount of bad luck he¡¯s experienced that the gods decided to take pity or just with sheer luck, a rather large river came into Yu¡¯s view.


    Feeling elated, Yu immediately dived into the river rinsing the blood, gore, and dust away as he did. The cold feeling of the river was barely felt by Yu with his current state as he thoroughly rinsed every nook and cranny. As he was in a hurry, he forgot to remove his clothes, forcing Yu to get a new set from his bag.


    Changing into a new set of clothes, Yu felt relieved. As he was someone who¡¯s lived in modern China, cleanliness is also one of his mottoes, and getting drenched in blood and gore as well as dust and leaves had been an awful experience for Yu. Getting ready to travel, he suppressed his strength as he grabbed some food from his bag as before traveling along the river side.


    As it was in the middle of the night, Yu enjoyed the calm scenery, eating some bread and dried meat. The taste wasn¡¯t so bad, Yu felt that it was a bit hard to chew and a little too salty, but nothing he couldn¡¯t eat.


    Time passed and as Yu has been thoroughly immersed in the scenery, he didn¡¯t realize that he¡¯s already traveled a few dozen miles as his walking pace, even at this rate was relatively fast. Soon, he caught glimpse of light in the distance, although not awfully bright it was still light which meant that there must be life! Excited to meet the people of this world, he increased his traveling pace, getting closer within a few breaths.Love what you''re reading?     Soon, the view of a great city entered his sight, it was grand, massive and possibly ancient, these were the things that best described this massive city in Yu¡¯s eyes. Going towards what appeared to be a gate, he stopped as he sensed arrows being shot at him. Quick on his feet, Yu dodged ever so sloppily, nearly falling down from his landing.


    What¡¯s with this city?! Do they shoot all their guests with arrows?! Angry, Yu decided to proceed towards the gate, where he was greeted with a shout.


    ¡°Name yourself!¡± The voice of a loud and rough male resounded.


    ¡°Leng yu!¡± Yu immediately replied.


    The voice went silent, before suddenly shouting back: ¡°Affiliations?¡±


    ¡°None!¡± Yu replied honestly, as he didn¡¯t want to get into trouble by naming a random group from the top of his head.


    Soon, the gates opened and a tall muscular man wearing a very intimidating set of armor that appeared to have been used in many battles appeared.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know what you¡¯re doing out there in the middle of the Ancient Forest, but you¡¯re getting your head severed from your body and your soul sent to the other side the moment you make trouble in Nantian City.¡± The man in armor warned.


    ¡°I¡¯ll do my best to keep out of trouble¡­¡± Yu replied, feeling somewhat wronged. But it could not be helped as he could somewhat tell that the forest which he came through was no ordinary one, and seeing where this gate is pointed towards, he can understand why these guards are wary of him.


    ¡°Do you have an identification stone?¡± The man in armor replied.


    ¡°Sadly no¡­ I was attacked by this giant black snake on the way and I lost it.¡± Yu replied, making up a realistic explanation. Hearing his words, the man in armor¡¯s face changed becoming somewhat grim.


    ¡°You¡¯re lucky to be alive, Titan Boas are usually around the peak spirit stage.¡± The man in armor replied somewhat believing his story.


    ¡°It¡¯s a good thing I managed to escape, it was fighting this silver gorilla too, giving me the chance to run away,¡± Yu replied, further adding details to the story to make it more believable.


    ¡°A Silverback Ape, another peak spirit stage beast¡­ Truly lucky, your ancestors must¡¯ve done a lot of good in their lives.¡± The man in armor sighed as he patted his shoulder, believing his story.


    Indeed, my ancestors have done a lot to grant me this level of strength. Hearing the man in armor¡¯s explanation, Yu thought that two beasts must¡¯ve been a threat to this city. But remembering how he easily killed one of them without a scratch, if one disregarded one¡¯s dignity, then Yu firmly believed that his strength is something he should only use at times of need.


    Yu nodded to himself, making the man in armor was somewhat confused towards Yu¡¯s actions, but remembering what he¡¯s been through, he shook his head and let him through nonetheless out of pity.


    After getting into the city, he found it to be quite desolate as there were a few lights on but barely anyone on the streets excluding the night patrols, seeing the lamp lit streets made the scene peaceful and serene, but wanting to sleep in a nice warm bed Yu decided to look for an inn.


    Remembering the man in armor, he asked him for directions. The man was kind enough to point him to the right way and after a few streets, following his directions, Yu found the Inn. Checking his bag, he randomly grabbed a golden coin from it.


    Entering inside, it was quiet. But that was a given as no one in their right mind would be awake at this hour unless they were plotting to do some evil.


    ¡°Welcome to the Southern Sky Inn, it¡¯s strange to get guests this late into the night, are you a traveler?¡± A lady dressed in simple clean clothing in her late 30s replied from behind a counter.


    ¡°Yeah, the journey hasn¡¯t been too kind to me, haha¡­¡± Yu replied weakly as he scratched the back of his head.


    ¡°I see, what kind of room are you looking for?¡±


    ¡°A reasonably sized one for a single person, a good bed would be nice and do you still serve food at this hour?¡± Yu replied as he was still somewhat hungry. Remembering in class that Inns in the olden days would serve food as well.


    ¡°We have a room that should fit the requirement, it¡¯s three silver per night and as for the food, I¡¯m sorry but the best I can serve at the moment is white bread and smoked ham. A slice of smoked ham is 10 copper and the white bread is 15 a piece.¡± The lady replied.


    ¡°I see, well I¡¯ll have two bread and three smoked ham do you happen to have any drinks as well? Water is fine and I¡¯ll stay for three nights.¡± Yu said, giving her the gold coin he picked up beforehand. Counting by estimation, he assumed that he had around 60 of these coins and a several more silver and copper pieces.


    Looks like Tian Shen¡¯s been quite generous to me, I should thank him the next we meet. Yu secretly thought as he sat on a nearby stool and table.


    Soon, the lady returned with a pitcher of cold water along with a cup and plate filled with three slices of ham and two pieces of bread. The lady also gave him his change. 40 copper. From this, Yu assumed that a single gold is 10 silver and that a single silver is a 100 copper.


    ¡°I¡¯ll lead you to your room when you¡¯re done, you¡¯ve had a harsh trip so eat slowly, I don¡¯t mind waiting.¡± The lady replied with a slight smile.


    Hearing this, Yu gave her a smile as he ate the food and drank water. Not eating too fast nor too slow. He asked the lady a few questions, as to where this Nantian city was, how is the place and how to get an identification stone.


    Hearing his questions, the lady was confused, getting multiple thoughts as to who this man was. Quickly reaching a conclusion, he assumed that he was someone who has just recently emerged from cultivation and was lost.


    Answering his questions politely, Yu understood that he was in the southern part of the Divine Continent, currently the largest continent in the world. Nantian city itself stands at the border between the rest of the human cities and the Ancient Forest. Curious as to what the Ancient Forest is, the lady explained that it¡¯s a grand forest filled to the brim with dangers. Even someone of the Origin stage would have trouble traveling through this evil forest.


    Hearing these stages get mentioned, he wanted to ask questions about it, but he grew far too shy and didn¡¯t want to embarrass himself more so he kept quiet for now. The lady continued her explanation about Nantian City, about how it is one of the most ancient and most profound cities in the Divine Continent.


    It seems like she¡¯s quite proud of this City. Yu thought to himself. The lady then explained how to get an identification stone, the first was to register in one of the many guilds, the second was to join a sect, which is a school like group, the third was to make one through the City Hall, although this was the most expensive, it was the easiest and had no restrictions.


    Deciding to live a life without restrictions, despite living with his strength severely restricted, he prompted to get an identification stone through the city hall.


    With his questions answered, Yu thanked the lady for her hospitality, leaving behind a few silver as thanks, although she didn¡¯t accept it at first, Yu insisted that she accept it.


    The lady led Yu to his room, leaving him be as she went back to the counter. It was on the second floor of the Inn, near the staircase and inside was a reasonably sized room. The furniture was minimal and there was a bathroom on one side which was a surprising find for Yu as he¡¯s been wanting to take a proper bath in while, he then tested the bed and found it to be comfortable to lay in.


    ¡°It¡¯s been a rough day¡­ I should take a bath and sleep.¡± Yu mumbled to himself as he locked the door, went to the bathroom to have a bath and wore a new set of clothes that are more comfortable than before, lying on the bed and immediately falling asleep.

 Chapter 2: Young Master

    Chapter 2: Young Master


    Waking up in the morning, Yu performed a few stretches before going to the bathroom to freshen up. Putting on the sling bag and wearing the grey robes again, he went downstairs.


    Compared to last night¡¯s desolate appearance, the inn¡¯s lobby was a lot more lively, with people wearing different kinds of clothing coming in and out. Observing what they wore, it was somewhat similar to what Yu wore, giving him a sense of relief, knowing that he won¡¯t stand out like a sore thumb. He then proceeded to find the inn lady again to ask for breakfast.


    ¡°Had a goodnight¡¯s rest?¡± A voice rang out from the counter.


    ¡°Yeah, the bed was nice and I was surprised to find a bathroom¡± Yu replied with a slight smile.


    ¡°That¡¯s good to know, I¡¯m glad you like our room.¡± The lady replied with a sweet smile before continuing: ¡°Oh right, we¡¯re serving breakfast at the moment, today it¡¯s vegetable soup with hard bread and it¡¯s 70 copper per serving.¡±


    ¡°Then I¡¯ll have a serving then.¡± Yu said as he gave the lady a piece of silver before sitting down on a vacant stool and table. As it might take a while, Yu decided to listen to a few conversations of the people around.


    ¡°Have you heard about yesterday¡¯s event?¡± A female voice said.


    ¡°No? Was there anything that happened even?¡± Another female voice replied.


    ¡°Eh?! You didn¡¯t see that second moon that appeared in the sky?¡± The first female voice said in disbelief.


    ¡°Second moon?¡± The second voice replied.


    ¡°Yeah! It was twice as massive as the first moon and it dyed the whole sky greenish blue! Though it only appeared for a while, it was still amazing to see!¡± The first female said as she excitedly explained.


    Hearing this, Yu¡¯s forehead started to form small beads of sweat as nearly everyone in the inn was having the same conversation as these two girls. About this great moon, this great moon that was currently having breakfast with them.


    Heaving a sigh, the lady came back with his change and breakfast. Giving his thanks, Yu ate his breakfast at his own pace, listening more to the conversations around.


    From what he heard, the second moon had caused a great deal of commotion in the Divine continent, as experts from all around the continent rushed towards the place where the event took place. Hearing the word ¡°expert¡±, Yu assumed them to be similar to the two pairs of grandfathers from before.


    Realizing that his aura is the same as that moon everyone is so familiar with, Yu has sworn in his heart to hide his abilities for now.


    Finishing his breakfast, he left the inn after saying his goodbyes to the lady. After heading outside, he realized that he has no idea where the city hall is, but being the polite and resourceful youth that he is, he asked around, getting answers before eventually finding where the City Hall is located.


    Making his way towards the city hall, a great commotion happened along the road that he was traveling.


    ¡°The young master has returned!¡± A loud voice filled to the brim with enthusiasm resounded in the open street. Soon, an empty path was made, allowing a great sedan to pass. The sedan was black, decorated with gold and fine white silk, Yu estimated that it¡¯s probably this world¡¯s equivalence to an expensive sports car, as this sedan was towed by a pair of great beasts.


    Finding things to be interesting, Yu decided to watch along the way, as it appears that this supposed young master is a powerful figure.


    Soon, this young master¡¯s figure was revealed, a young handsome youth who was without a doubt was more handsome than our little Yu, he wore a fine white robe decorated with silver, giving him a sense of purity, his eyes were of the color blue, making them irresistible to look at.


    Sadly, his charms in Yu¡¯s eyes were only so-so as he¡¯s seen prettier Korean boys in his life back in his home world.


    Deciding to mind his own business, Yu continued on his way as he¡¯s lost interest in this supposed great young master. Leaving the crowded street, he increased his pace of walking and he¡¯s chosen to travel in a less crowded street, his figure could be seen dashing forward, seemingly like a ghost.


    Of course, our Little Yu does not realize this as he thought of it as nothing but walking slightly faster. Little did he know that apart from gaining the two grandfather¡¯s peerless strength, he¡¯s also absorbed most of their skills, although only using them unconsciously as he had no training nor knowledge about them what so ever. Fortunately, he can¡¯t be influenced by their thoughts or emotion before they perished thanks to Tian Shen.


    This walking technique that Yu is using is one of them, if an expert were to observe Yu¡¯s movements, they could immediately tell that he¡¯s currently using the high-level Saint movement technique 7 Misty Ghost Steps! A technique that the Very Evil grandfather is very fond of, managing to train to the absolute perfection.


    Although Yu¡¯s execution of the skill is nothing but an unconscious use, it is still a high-level Saint movement skill, allowing him to pass through the street with ease.


    Arriving at the City hall¡¯s entrance, Yu took a few seconds to appreciate its beautiful appearance, the building is situated at the point of the city, being as tall as a seven-story building, it had a sense grandness to it, making it stand out compared to the other buildings nearby.


    Going inside, Yu made his way to one of the desks inside the massive hall.


    ¡°Hello, welcome to the Nantian City Hall, how may I help you?¡± A girl who looked to be 16 years old greeted me.


    So young yet already working. Very admirable. As Yu praised the girl for her ability to work at such an age, the girl instead mistook it for him appraising her beauty, making her somewhat annoyed at him. However, having worked for quite some time there, the girl did her best not to show her annoyance.


    ¡°I was thinking of getting an identification stone made for me.¡± Yu replied, not minding the sudden change of atmosphere of the girl.


    Surprised, the girl quickly replied: ¡°A rare request, usually people join a guild or sect to get one instead, it¡¯s usually free and doesn¡¯t require much to be made.¡±


    ¡°So I¡¯ve been told, but having the restrictions of a guild or sect doesn¡¯t really fit my needs at the moment.¡± Yu replied giving a hollow laugh as he scratched the back of his head.


    ¡°I see, creating an identification stone costs 5 gold¡± The girl said.


    ¡°I see, here.¡± Yu replied as he handed 5 gold coins from his bag.


    ¡°Give me a few moments then.¡± The girl said before standing up and going up the cabinets behind her, seeming to try to find a file.


    ¡°Here we go, please fill up this form and if you cannot read nor write then I can do it for you.¡± The girl said as he handed him a piece of paper.


    To Yu¡¯s surprise, it was written in Chinese characters, allowing him to read it with ease. Grabbing a pen nearby, Yu filled up the form. The form itself asked for his name, age, place of birth and profession.


    It appears that the place of birth and profession is optional, so Yu decided not to fill it up. Filling up the form, the girl gave him a pin to obtain a drop of blood for him. Although finding it weird, Yu decided to do so anyways but to his surprise, the pin could not pierce through his skin.The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.


    Troubled, Yu tried to exert more force, but sadly, doing so only made the pin bend at an awkward angle. Seeing the farce play out in front of her, the corners of the girl¡¯s mouth twitched as she did her best to remain calm.


    ¡°Are you having difficulties, sir?¡± The girl replied with the kindest smile she can muster at the moment. Sadly it doesn¡¯t look too pretty.


    ¡°Yes¡­ It appears that the pin couldn¡¯t pierce through my skin¡­¡± Yu replied as he scratched the back of his head giving a hollow laugh.


    ¡°I see, give me a few moments please.¡± The girl said as he went back to the drawer, bringing back a beautiful silver dagger this time around.


    ¡°Please use this.¡± She said as she started to emit a small but ominous aura.


    ¡°T-thank you¡­¡± Yu replied as he grabbed the dagger and attempted to cut his skin again. Sadly, his skin was just too strong! After all, this is a body crafted by a god, the best this flimsy dagger can do is tickle him a bit and maybe scratch his back.


    Seeing this, the girl behind the desk isn¡¯t too pleased, starting to wonder if this person is one of the many eccentric experts that roam the continent who enjoys bullying mortals like her, or if he¡¯s a thick skinned divine beast in human form. Though she¡¯s not too far from the truth.


    Sighing, the girl found some ink and asked Yu to place his thumbprint on the paper instead. Yu did not waste any time as he swiftly did as he¡¯s told. The girl retrieved the form before telling him that it will take a while for the identification stone to be made before asking him to return the day after tomorrow.


    Nodding his head and giving his thanks, he left the City hall. As he did, the parade he saw a while back has finally reached near the entrance of the city hall.


    They¡¯re surprisingly slow¡­ Yu thought in his head, but due to the help of 7 Misty Ghost Steps, Yu was able to reach the City hall quickly. Nantian City is no ordinary city, it¡¯s size is one of the largest and reaching the City hall from the Southern Sky Inn normally takes half a day on foot if one doesn¡¯t use one of the public transportation or if one isn¡¯t one of the many experts of this world and on a rare occasion, if one¡¯s body isn¡¯t handcrafted by a god.


    By the time Yu reached the city hall it was still in the morning, so seeing the parade here already is considered as fast in the eyes of the average citizens, praising the speed of the beasts that tow the beautiful sedan. Sadly Yu isn¡¯t one of the citizens.


    ¡°The young master has returned!¡± The same enthusiastic voice from before resounded, causing the nearby citizens to cheer for this young master.


    Yu who was absolutely confused as to why this young master is so important asked someone nearby as to who this young master is.


    To the man¡¯s surprise, he gave Yu a look of pity, thinking he¡¯s one of the lesser learned people. Patting Yu¡¯s shoulder, the man explained that he is the son of the city lord, as well as an inner disciple of the Divine Continent Central Academy.


    Remembering that he¡¯s currently in the Divine Continent, Yu assumed that this academy is probably one of the best, although he¡¯s not wrong, but the Divine Continent Central Academy is currently the best academy there is.


    The man continued explaining that the young master has reached the early stages of the Advanced stage, making him the pride of the city due to his talent and many accomplishments.


    Normally, a person would be full of praises when they hear that someone who¡¯s not even twenty reaches the advance stage. Sadly, Yu has no idea as to what an Advanced stage even is but seeing the worship in the man¡¯s eyes, he decided to praise this young master to not look too suspicious.


    ¡°He must¡¯ve been a one in a thousand talent, yeah¡­¡± Yu said, trying to think of more flowery words but failing.


    Hearing Yu¡¯s half-assed praises, the man wasn¡¯t too pleased and left Yu be to join the festival that was happening at the moment.


    Shrugging his shoulders, Yu decided to view more of the City, wondering if there are caf¨¦ like places where he could enjoy some fragrant tea. As when Yu was younger, he would enjoy drinking tea together with his beloved grandmother in the countryside, before it eventually became a habit where he would go to a caf¨¦ to enjoy some tea once a week.


    Asking around, he found a nearby clean and hospitable Caf¨¦ and decided to read through their selection of teas. But seeing that there are many interesting ones, he decided to have the most popular one for now. Paying before selecting a chair and table outside the store. He sat down and waited for his tea to get served, admiring the clean and beautiful streets of Nantian city, with its bustling pedestrians and colorful buildings.


    Finding the city to be wonderful, Yu thought that it wouldn¡¯t be so bad to live here. Sadly, his time of peace was cut short as a commotion nearby happened, well the time of peace for everybody else as Yu decided to pick up a nearby pamphlet to read out.


    ¡°You dare show your face again Meng Batien?!¡± A calm voice roared out, causing all heads to turn and look, excluding Yu that is, as he was too immersed in reading the pamphlet. This young man was the Young Master from before, this time he wore a silver set of armor, matching the beautiful silver sword on his right hand which was glowing even under the morning sun.


    ¡°Hmhph! Do you believe yourself to be crown prince of this City Xiamen Ru? I can easily take your head with ease!¡± An angry and arrogant voice rang out in reply. He was just as handsome as Xiamen Ru, but his face and hairstyle were more on the wild side and on his body is a set of bright red colored armor, seemingly soaked in blood, making him somewhat the opposite of Xiamen Ru. On his hand was a long red polearm, seemingly on perpetual fire as the edge burnt a beautiful scarlet.


    Soon, the scene of two young men having a showdown in the middle of the street that Yu was currently reading the pamphlet in. In a few seconds, the waiter served his tea, naming it the 5 Petal Blooming Flower before hastily taking his leave.


    Receiving the cup, Yu was astonished! As on the surface was the pattern of 5 petals, making it look like as if a flower was blooming in the cup. Taking a sip, he was astonished yet again! As the tea was not only fragrant, but tasted really good.


    While Yu was enjoying his cup of tea, praising it in his heart and nodding his head in approval, the nearby showdown was reaching a boiling point as the two parties were done talking, soon the portion of the street where the battle was taking place became vacant, leaving three men: Meng Batien, Xiamen Ru, and our own little Yu.


    Soon, the two figures vanished, closing down the distance between each other as their weapons clash, producing a strong shockwave that somewhat shook the ground. The nearby spectators cheer as they are able to see such a fierce fight, but soon shocked to see another youth nearby, seemingly immersed in appraising his cup of tea.


    They could not tell if he was the bravest man in the world, a powerful expert that disdains all life, or just a plain idiot who¡¯s unaware of the current predicament.


    Actually, Yu has already noticed that there were two people bickering behind him, however, as he cannot feel the tides of their battle as his own body treats it like the warm breeze of summer, he assumed that they settled their differences and went on their way.


    As the two fought, they both noticed Yu¡¯s presence, curious as to who this youth was, they had a temporary cease-fire.


    ¡°Brother, it appears that you¡¯re unaffected by our battle. Sadly I cannot guarantee that you will remain unaffected if you continue to insist that you remain there.¡± Xiamen Ru warned, wanting to be seen as polite.


    ¡°I haven¡¯t finished this wonderful cup of tea yet, I spent good money on it you know? It would be a waste to leave without finishing it.¡± Yu replied without looking back as he was still reading the pamphlet.


    However, Meng Batien¡¯s temper wasn¡¯t as lenient as Xiamen Ru¡¯s as he roared out in anger: ¡°You believe that a cup of tea is worth your life?!¡±


    ¡°No not really, I¡¯ve been raised as a child to not waste food, therefore I shall finish this tea before leaving.¡± Yu replied proudly, however, his speech only caused Meng Batien to be even more infuriated.


    The spectators started sweating on their foreheads, thinking that this youth was no ordinary youth! Only someone of a higher realm would disregard a fight between two Advanced Stage experts!


    Sadly, Xiamen Ru and Meng Batien did not have the same idea, as their pride is just way too massive.


    Unable to hold it in, Meng Batien swung his polearm at unbelievable speeds, causing the winds to blow. But the next scene scared them silly as the polearm¡¯s blade was caught with the back of Yu¡¯s hand as he continued to read the pamphlet, causing it to stop, as if an immovable wall of steel blocked its path!


    In reality, Yu¡¯s arm was just getting sore so he decided to stretch it a bit as he was about to finish his cup of tea.


    Scared silly, Meng Batien retreated as far as he could in an instant, large beads of sweat forming on his forehead as he could not believe that someone who is not releasing the slightest amount of aura could block his polearm, he originally thought that Yu would dodge the blade which would prove him to be a Spirit stage expert or higher but never would he have thought that he¡¯d block it with his bare hands!


    Saint Stage expert! These words resounded in the minds of everyone who witnessed this scene, as this was the only explanation as to how this youth could perform such a feat.


    While this was going one, Yu finished his cup of tea, standing from his chair and keeping the pamphlet with him, taking his leave as everyone was frozen in place. Yu realized this and decided in his head that this was one of the many weird customs in the City.


    Soon, his figure vanished from the crowd, causing Meng Batien to break from his trance. His legs grew soft as he collapsed, thinking that he has been spared by the Saint Stage expert, thanking his ancestors for all the good they¡¯ve done in their lives, Xiamen Ru on the other hand was equally as scared, deciding to take what happened today to heart.


    From that day forth, Meng Batien got rid of his arrogant attitude, holding Yu in reverence as he was willing to spare an ant like him. This change shocked everyone in the Meng clan, wondering what event he encountered to have such a heaven defying change. He and Xiamen Ru resolved all conflicts, deciding to become brothers who''ve survived a life threatening crisis as the two families formed an alliance and soon, Nantian City became not only more peaceful, but more prosperous as two of its most powerful families are now working together.


    As for Yu who was the cause of all this, he was currently lost in the big city, not knowing where to go.

    Wondering about the streets, Yu was unaware about the groundbreaking changes he¡¯s made to the city as he¡¯s too busy trying to find his way back to the Southern Sky inn.


    Along the way, he met some friendly locals who were kind enough to guide him to the right direction, as Yu was a person who was polite and upright, he would often bow his head to express his gratitude. By the end of the day, the amount of time¡¯s he¡¯s bowed is far too many to count.


    By the time he made his way back to the Southern Sky inn, the sun was already setting. Although he got lost, Yu saw many wonderful sights in the city and made a few acquaintances. Greeting the lady from before, he decided to hang around the lobby as he wanted to relax for the rest of the day.


    ¡°Have you heard about that Saint Stage expert?!¡± The same girl from the morning spoke.


    Yu, surprised by this became curious, so he decided to listen.


    ¡°Yeah! I heard he blocked Meng Batien¡¯s blade without breaking a sweat! Truly worthy of their name!¡± The second girl from before spoke in enthusiasm.


    ¡°I wonder which sect he¡¯s from. People say he wore a grey robe and looked to be around 20 or so.¡± The first girl replied.


    ¡°Yeah! I think he¡¯s one of those Rogue experts that don¡¯t belong to any sects or groups, terrifying!¡± The second girl replied.


    Yu who was listening to this conversation wondered, So there are people like that as well, I wonder if I should become one of those Rogue experts?


    Little did our Yu know that he¡¯s already one in the eyes of the masses.


    Soon, the inn became more and more crowded as the night drew closer. Yu was still inside, relaxing at his own leisure.


    Somewhere outside the inn, three cloaked figures, hiding their faces with masks gathered in a room.


    ¡°From what the rumors say, he¡¯s a male youth in grey robes. Seen anyone that fit the description?¡± A young female voice resounded in the room.


    ¡°I¡¯ve seen two thus far, one appeared to be someone in the blood tempering stage, the other¡­ I¡¯m not too sure¡­¡± A cold male voice spoke this time.


    ¡°Oh? What do you mean you¡¯re not too sure?¡± A third voice resounded, that of a young male that was rather mischievous.


    ¡°I could not feel a single thing from him, like he was air¡­¡± The first male voice said.


    ¡°Then we¡¯ve hit our mark, Where is he at?¡± The girl replied.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know, I saw him exit the city hall once and that was it. From what the rumors say, he was seen enjoying a cup of tea in the 5 Fragrance Tea store.¡± The first male said.


    ¡°We should send some people to keep watch at the store, he might return the next day.¡± The second male said, making the other two nod in agreement.


    Back at the inn, Yu did not find anything interesting to listen to so he decided to eat dinner and go to sleep.


    The next day, Yu wore a different set of clothes, this time light brown mixed with dark grey before going to the front desk of the inn, grabbing breakfast as he¡¯s asked the inn lady for anything interesting to see in the City, as well as a way to earn money in the meantime as those 60, now 50 or so gold will not last him forever.


    ¡°Sightseeing and a way to earn money? I suggest going to mercenary guild cause you look pretty strong and perhaps the auction house. There¡¯s always something interesting to see there.¡± The inn lady said in suggestion.


    Thinking of these things, Yu decided that he¡¯ll go to the mercenary guild today, as the auction house is too high end for him. Giving his thanks before asking for directions, Yu reached the Mercenary guild with ease. A large building with large glass panes the lit the inside could be seen, on top of the wide open double doors are the words ¡°Mercenary Guild¡± written on a wooden panel.


    Entering the building, Yu saw different kinds of people in the lobby, from tall and rough men wearing heavy armor to fit figures wearing minimal amounts of armor with short swords and daggers hanging from their waists. Sometimes someone wearing robes would appear, appearing grand and arrogant.


    ¡°Welcome to the Mercenary Guild, how may I help you?¡± A youth said, wearing a kind smile as he did.


    ¡°I was thinking of registering as a mercenary, is it possible at the moment?¡± Yu replied calmly.


    ¡°It is, do you have an identification stone?¡± The youth said.


    ¡°Uh¡­ Not yet. I have one being made in the City hall at the moment.¡± Yu replied as he scratched the back of his head, somewhat embarrassed.


    ¡°It¡¯s fine, we¡¯ll provide you with a temporary one. You can also get one made for you through the guild if your rank reaches D, although it usually takes people a few weeks to get to that point.¡± The youth explained.


    ¡°I¡¯ll go with the temporary one for now then.¡± Yu said.


    ¡°Alright, give me a few moments then.¡± The youth said as he grabbed a small piece of paper, asking Yu to fill it out. Doing as he¡¯s told, the form was filled, without the need to use a drop of blood this time around. Before long, the youth handed Yu a small iron necklace with his name engraved on it.


    ¡°Here we go, congratulations on becoming a rank F mercenary!¡± The youth exclaimed.


    ¡°Eh? I don¡¯t have to pay?¡± Yu replied in confusion.


    ¡°Your first three missions will have some of its rewards taken by the guild as compensation. After these three missions, you¡¯ll instantly become a rank E mercenary.¡± The youth explained.


    ¡°I see, it it possible to take a difficult mission at this time?¡± Yu inquired.Stolen story; please report.


    ¡°Yes, but if you do so, the guild will not be responsible for any losses, although unlike the easier tasks, you won¡¯t be forced to compensate in the case that you do fail.¡± The youth explained kindly.

    ¡°Mission, Kill a wounded elder dragon deep in the Ancient Forest, bonus rewards are given if you could obtain its egg.¡± Yu grew quiet and realized why no one was willing to undertake these missions¡­. They¡¯re way too intimidating!


    A pack of Blood Starved Hounds?! Wounded Elder Dragon?! They both sound scary either ways! Yu exclaimed in heart, forgetting the fact that he¡¯s killed a Titan Boa a few days ago with a single move, although accidental.


    After a while of pondering, Yu decided to take one of the more ¡°safer¡± missions on the board.


    ¡°Obtain an Ancient Flowering Lotus.¡± Yu read, realizing that the mission included a map as to where the flower was, he decided to settle on this mission. Returning to the youth, he showed him the mission asking if it¡¯s alright to take it.


    ¡°You¡­ Do you understand what an Ancient Flowering Lotus is?¡± The youth¡¯s voice trembled.


    ¡°Nope, but it sounds interesting, and it says it includes a map so it should be easy enough.¡± Yu replied nonchalantly.


    ¡°You¡­.. Not wanting to talk with dead men, the youth went back to a room behind him, handing him a black box along with a piece of paper.


    ¡°Use this box to store the flower, and this is the map. Don¡¯t do anything stupid! If things look bleak, leave, the guild won''t punish you for doing so.¡± The youth warned in consideration.


    Feeling somewhat touched, Yu thanked him before storing the two items in his bag. Seeing him do so, the youth was surprised! As a spatial bag is not something an ordinary figure would have, making him less worried for Yu.


    Soon, Yu departed for the southern gate of the city. Feeling to be somewhat familiar, he realized that this was where he first went through, and his guesses were correct, as the man in armor came into view.


    ¡°Heading out?¡± The man asked.


    ¡°Yeah, took a mission from the mercenary guild.¡± Yu replied.


    ¡°Tsk, you got lucky once. Don¡¯t get yourself killed.¡± The man said as he signaled the men to open the gate.


    With that, Yu exited Nantian City, and as he¡¯s still got rations and clothes from what Tian Shen originally gave, he decided to set off as soon as possible. Following the map, he encountered little to not troubles as he started unconsciously operating the high level Saint movement skill, 7 Misty Ghosts Steps, breezing through the forest with ease.


    As ventured deeper, Yu released 1/10ths of his strength, releasing a faint greenish blue aura and greatly increasing his speed and seeming more and more like a ghost.


    Sadly, Yu was not aware and thought nothing of it other than him getting more accustomed to his new body.


    In a few breaths, Yu has covered more than a dozen miles with ease, nearing his goal. But his journey was not destined to be peaceful, for soon, Yu hears the scream of someone in the distance.


    Being the upright individual that he is, Yu dashed forward to help.


    Seeing the scene where he heard the shout, Yu was startled, as a male and female pair who both seemed to be mercenaries based on their armor and equipment was surrounded by blood red wolves. Their numbers seemingly endless as they surround the pair. Looking closer, on the ground between the two is another male, wounded and unconscious.


    Seeing their sorry state, Yu decided to help, not minding his own circumstances. Releasing 3/10ths of his strength his aura grew stronger, and as it did, the wolves immediately sensed his presence. Feeling this terrifyingly pure energy emanating from a single person, the wolves decided to flee as they felt that even if they were to group up against this person, they won¡¯t be his match no matter how many they were!


    Spirit Stage expert! The pair exclaimed in their hearts as based on the aura Yu released, they could feel it somewhat suffocating due to its thickness.


    Seeing them terrified, Yu suppressed his aura back to 1/10ths. As he did, the pair became relieved.


    ¡°Many thanks senior for lending us a hand!¡± The female mercenary replied.


    Am I that old!? Yu exclaimed in his heart.


    Seeing that he went quiet, the female mercenary became terrified, on her face showed a very worried expression, wondering what she did wrong. As for the male, he was equally terrified, for as far as he knows, these kinds of experts are haughty and eccentric, one wrong word could send you to the afterlife!


    Yu saw this and beckoned with his hand before saying: ¡°it¡¯s fine, I was just lost in thought. Ha hah¡­¡±


    Calming down, the pair heaved a sigh of relief.


    ¡°How about him? Is he okay?¡± Yu asked in slight worry.


    ¡°He¡¯s fine sir, just unconscious from the shock.¡± The male replied.


    ¡°I see, then its best to bring him back to the city.¡± Yu suggested.


    ¡°We were on our way, but we got attacked by that pack of Blood Starved Hounds.¡± The male sigh helplessly before continuing: ¡°But thanks to sir, we are fine!¡±


    Feeling good for his good deed, Yu chuckled before replying: ¡°It¡¯s fine, my mother always told me to help those in need.¡±


    Hearing his words, the pair nodded before they started to carry the young man over their shoulders. Expressing their gratitude one last time before eventually vanishing. As they did however, multiple shadows appeared around the trees nearby Yu, appearing to be observing his every move.


    Confused as to who these shadows are, Yu prepared to run, prepared to unleash his full might to leave these poor souls in the dust!


    But sadly, that time did not come as a female dressed in black cloth, blocking all but her clear blue eyes appeared in front of Yu, bowing sincerely as it explained, with a voice as sweet as honey: ¡±Many thanks senior, if not for your help, we would¡¯ve been forced to end the prince¡¯s journey early.¡±


    ¡°Prince?¡± Yu asked.


    ¡°Indeed, the prince of the Ca Long Empire, Long Yi.¡± The female ninja explained, but to no avail as Yu has no idea what the Ca Long Empire is, let along some youth named Long Yi. But not wanting to be rude, he expressed that it was no big deal.


    ¡°Senior is kind and benevolent. For your service, we are willing to offer you a gift.¡± The female expressed as if trying to allure him. Sadly for her, our little Yu has declined a considerable amount confessions in his high school days, being nicknamed ¡°Heart Breaker Yu¡± once.


    ¡°No thanks, my mother has always told me that a good act should be done without thinking about a reward. I saved them because they were in need.¡± Yu explained, as he thought of it as being too troublesome. After all, he still has a mission to finish.


    ¡°I see, the Ca Lang Empire shall be in your debt then, may I ask what Senior¡¯s name is?¡± The female ninja asked.


    ¡°Leng Yu, though don¡¯t take it to heart. Anyways, I need to get going now, I still have my own mission to finish.¡± Yu explained in a hurry, taking his leave as he didn¡¯t to continue conversing with these shady figures.


    Seeing his departing figure, the female ninja sighed, wondering as to who this youth is and how can one be so selfless. With that, the image of Yu in the hearts of these figures became a kind saint who would lend out a helping hand to all those in need regardless of the situation. Soon, the Emperor received news of how this kind saint saved his youngest son without wishing for anything in return, he became touched, wishing to meet this kind figure. Within a few days, Yu became sought after in the Ca Lang Empire. Making his name spread out throughout the divine continent.


    Sadly, the kind saint that everyone is searching for has lost his way in the Ancient Forest, as he¡¯s forgotten where he went through as the scenery around him is basically the same in all angles.

    Lost in the Ancient Forest, Yu had no idea what to do next. He could leave it to fate like before, but there¡¯s a chance that he might get even more lost.


    But like water sent to those in the middle of the dessert, Yu spots a figure from afar. Small, tiny even, glowing a greenish blue color and with glowing butterfly like wings. A Spirit Elf! But our little Yu did not know that. Curious nonetheless, he approached it.


    Seeing him approach, the spirit did not leave, instead drew closer to him. Soon a childish voice of a girl resounded.


    ¡°Heehh, you look strong mister!¡± The Spirit Elf replied as she could clearly see a different but vividly beautiful aura around Yu that normal experts could not hope to see, let alone imitate. After all, Yu doesn¡¯t cultivate any cultivation techniques to promote his strength like everyone else, instead he relies on his powerful divine soul.


    As such, his aura will become beautiful to spirits like this one, after all, these fellas are very sensitive to spiritual power, let alone souls.


    ¡°So I¡¯ve been told!¡± Yu replied as he was mystified by this spirit elf who was similar to a soul in appearance.


    Unable to hold his curiosity, Yu asked: ¡°You look very similar to a soul.¡±

    ¡°Ehh!? You¡¯ve seen the Sea of Souls before?!¡± The Spirit Elf exclaimed.


    Yu scratched the back of his head and gave a hollow laugh as he didn¡¯t expect her to know about the sea of souls, saying: ¡°He heh¡­ It¡¯s a long story.¡±


    ¡°I see! Mister, what are you doing in the middle of the forest?¡± The Spirit Elf asked curiously.


    ¡°Well¡­ I¡¯m lost, ha hah¡­ I took a detour to help some people but I ended up getting lost in the process, pitiful right?¡± Yu said with an awkward smile on his face.


    ¡°Nope! I think what mister did was very admirable!¡± The Spirit Elf replied, comforting Yu in the process.


    ¡°Thanks, do you happen to know the way back?¡± Yu asked somewhat shy.


    ¡°Nope! But mama should know!¡± The Spirit Elf explained.


    ¡°I see!¡± Yu exclaimed, excited as he¡¯s seen the light at the end of the tunnel.


    ¡°He he, since Mister doesn¡¯t seem like a bad person, I shall lead you to mama! Come on!¡± The Spirit Elf exclaimed as she dashed away.


    Seeing this, Yu followed behind, utilizing 1/10ths of his strength to keep up. But it wasn¡¯t enough as Yu began to fall behind. Not wanting to be deserted, he released 2/10ths of his strength to catch up with the Spirit Elf.


    ¡°Whoa! So pretty!¡± The Spirit Elf exclaimed as she could see the light around Yu grow even more vivid than before. Despite her surprise, the Spirit Eelf did not slow down and instead flying faster than ever! Seeming to challenge Yu¡¯s speed.


    Yu, on the other hand, became shocked! Disregarding what the Spirit Elf said right now, after all, how could such a small spirit be this fast! But instead of getting annoyed, he found the spirit¡¯s actions to be adorable, accepting her challenge as he released 3/10ths of his strength.


    ¡°Mister is full of surprises!¡± The Spirit Elf exclaimed, and soon, Yu has caught up with her, dashing at incredible speeds through the Ancient Forest together.


    Little did Yu know, he is currently heading straight to the heart of the Ancient Forest! But with the guidance of the Spirit Elf, they did not encounter any dangers. Soon the trees grew taller and the surroundings more mystical.


    Stunned by the change, Yu wanted to slow down to appreciate the scenery. But with the urging of the Spirit Elf, he continued on their pace.


    As time went on, he would notice more and more spheres of light in their surroundings. At first, it was in groups of 2 or 3, before it escalated to more than 9! But that was not the end of it, as Yu and the Spirit Elf made their way to its mother, the spheres of light followed as well, seemingly attracted by the beautiful light that Yu was emitting.


    ¡°Hey, they¡¯re following us¡­¡± Yu exclaimed.


    ¡°Don¡¯t worry! They¡¯re probably like me, attracted by that pretty light of yours.¡± The Spirit Elf explained.


    ¡°Pretty light?¡± Yu asked.


    ¡°Yep! Mister is currently releasing a very pretty light!¡± The Spirit Elf explained.


    Dumbfounded, Yu inspected his body in a confused manner before asking: ¡°You mean my Aura?¡±


    ¡°Aura? I¡¯m not so sure!¡± The Spirit Elf mischievously replied, causing Yu to be even more confused.


    ¡°Mama should be able to explain, come come!¡± The Spirit elf beckoned as they continued on their way, followed by myriads of different colored light and soon, Yu sees an enormous tree in the distance, easily surpassing 700 meters! Not only that, but the tree had a faint and mystical light blue glow to it, its leaves are multi colored and its trunk appeared to be interwoven, making it a sight to behold.


    ¡°Wheew¡­ That¡¯s a big beautiful tree¡­¡± Yu exclaimed, not sure how else to describe such an enormous tree.


    ¡°We call it the Great Spirit Tree! Where mama currently lives and the home of all the spirits!¡± The Spirit Elf exclaimed.


    Shocked, Yu decided to follow nonetheless as he also wishes to visit this amazing looking tree! More excited than before, Yu and the Spirit Elf increased their pacing even more! This increase created winds that strongly blew against the trees they passed, causing multiple leaves to fall off. As for the trail of spirits that followed after, their numbers increased by three folds!


    If one were to look at the forest from above, they would see a beautiful trail of light, passing through the trees like a great divine snake.Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.


    Soon, Yu, the Spirit Elf and the massive trail of spirits neared the roots of the Great Spirit Tree. As for its inhabitants, seeing this enormous migration of spirits greatly shocked them! Apart from the Spirit Queen, what else could make such a large number of spirits move unconditionally?


    Within moments, they got their answer as with their eyes, they see a beautiful light at the very front of the spirits, leading the way towards the Great Spirit Tree.


    ¡°I¡¯m baaack!¡± The Spirit Elf shouted as she and Yu reached the base of the Great Spirit Tree.


    When the two of them finally stopped, the spirits following Yu gathered behind him, as if they were fascinated with him. Letting out a hollow laugh, he suppressed all of his strength, making all of the spirits disperse before observing the surrounding scenery.


    Mystical! Beautiful! Majestic! Those were the words that appeared in his mind as he glanced around him. Each tree had a certain mystical property, making each of them unique. As for the grass, there were multiple kinds, from red glowing ones to bright green ones.


    Not only that but the flowers around them were simply breathtaking! As if out of a painting, each flower seemed unique and special! Observing the scenery more, he could see faint silhouettes of varying size and colors from all around them. From ones that are easily 20 stories high to ones that are as small as a walnut, their number caused Yu to be astonished! Before he assumed them to be the inhabitants of this Great Spirit Tree.


    ¡°Enjoying the scenery?¡± A calm and mystical female voice rang out, making Yu turn his head to where it came from.


    What he saw was a beautiful woman who stood on top of one of the massive roots, wearing a white dress decorated with bright blue glowing vines. Her facial features were beautiful! Simply the most beautiful woman Yu has seen in his life! Her golden eyes and fair skin along with her pale blonde hair made seem inhuman in Yu¡¯s eyes!


    And he¡¯s correct, as her ears were long and pointed, drooping downwards and on her back were a set of semi-transparent golden butterfly wings whose wing span was most likely around 2 meters.


    Regaining his composure, he smiled awkwardly and replied: ¡°Yeah, this place is beautiful! I can¡¯t really find the words to describe this place ha hah¡­¡±


    Finding his attitude strange, the woman chuckled before setting her sights to the Spirit Elf that guided Yu.


    ¡°Yaya, you¡¯ve bought a very interesting visitor.¡± The woman said as she gave her a wonderful smile.


    ¡°Mhm! Mister emitted this beautiful light! He said he got lost so I bought him here for directions!¡± Yaya, the Spirit Elf replied enthusiastically.


    ¡°Really now?¡± She asked sweetly, like a mother to a child before looking at Yu and saying: ¡°Well, please follow me, I can¡¯t really have our guest stay out in the open now can I?¡±


    Feeling that her intentions were pure, Yu followed after. Although he found it slightly troublesome as the ground was uneven and trying to make it through without damaging the flowers was proven difficult as they are scattered all over.


    Seeing his act of consideration, the woman gave a smile as with a wave of her hand, Yu¡¯s body gently hovered over to the root where the woman was standing on.


    Embarrassed, Yu gave his thanks as the two of them made their way through the Great Spirit Tree, with the Spirit Elf following after. Yu and the woman followed a path carved in the Great Spirit Tree itself and soon, Yu could see the entrance into the Great Spirit Tree.


    The two of them entered and inside was an enormous open space that was lit with plenty of colorful light. With just how massive this space was, Yu assumed that the Great Spirit Tree is a hollow shell that houses all these spirits.


    Amazed by this beautiful scenery, Yu¡¯s eyes wandered all over the place, seemingly filled to the brim with curiosity and fascination! Seeing this made the woman let out another chuckle, and soon, the two of them reached a decent sized house, seemingly made of vines and roots. The woman opened the door and inside was a simple home, with furniture made of wood. On one side were bookshelves with mysterious books that Yu could not read due to its strange characters and on another side is a bed, simple yet looks comfortable to lay in.


    In the middle of the room is a table and chair, assuming the woman doesn¡¯t get much visitors, Yu didn¡¯t mind standing. But to his surprise, another chair made of roots grew from the wooden floor.


    ¡°Please, sit down.¡± The woman kindly said.


    ¡°Excuse me then.¡± Yu replied as he took a seat on the chair made of roots, he was surprised to find it comfortable to sit on despite its appearance.


    ¡°Now then, I don¡¯t really have a name, but they do call me the Spirit Queen.¡± The Spirit Queen said, calmly looking at Yu.


    Of course, Yu wasn¡¯t surprised. After all, Seeing all the mystical things this woman has done, Yu would¡¯ve been disappointed if she wasn¡¯t the Spirit Queen!


    ¡°I am Leng Yu, pleased to meet you Spirit Queen.¡± Yu replied as he lightly bowed his head.


    ¡°A good name.¡± The Spirit Queen praised.


    ¡°Thank you, though I find it strange that you yourself don¡¯t have a name.¡± Yu said as he scratched the back of his head.


    ¡°Spirits don¡¯t usually have a name, only when a higher being grants them a name will they get one. For example, Yaya, this Spirit elf.¡± The spirit Queen explained as she asked Yaya to come over.


    ¡°She¡¯s someone who¡¯ve I named myself, a playful one isn¡¯t she?¡± The Spirit Queen said as she had Yaya hover over her fingers.


    ¡°Un! Mama found me dozens of years ago! Without her help, I wouldn¡¯t be where I am now!¡± Yaya replied happily, recalling fond memories from the past.


    ¡°I see, she¡¯s different from the other spirits I¡¯ve seen so far, is it because of the name?¡± Yu asked, trying piece the puzzle together.


    ¡°Indeed, a name can grant a spirit immense power, depending on who names it that is. If a higher being were to give a name to a spirit, then that spirit will have a chance to promote into a more powerful form.¡± The Spirit Queen explained, causing Yu to nod in approval.


    ¡°Now then, you¡¯re quite an interesting one you know? Being able to attract spirits despite not being a spirit yourself.¡± The Spirit Queen asked.


    ¡°I¡¯m not too sure as to why that is, but I guess it has something to do with my soul.¡± Yu explained.


    ¡°Your soul? I see! So the aura you emitted was your spiritual force, no wonder it attracted so many spirits!¡± The Spirit Queen explained excitedly with her eyes starting to glow in anticipation as her wings fluttered a few times.


    ¡°Spiritual Force? I assume it¡¯s the strength of the soul, right?¡± Yu asked.


    ¡°Yes, spiritual force represents the strength of one¡¯s soul. Although I¡¯ve never seen a case where a human being is able to release such a thick and powerful spiritual force before.     Unable to hold it in, Yu ended up laughing and smiling. This caused the Spirit Queen to be confused, asking: ¡°What¡¯s so funny?¡±


    ¡°No, it¡¯s nothing. I just didn¡¯t expect that you could show such an unexpected side.¡± Yu replied with a smile.


    Realizing that she lost her composure, she gave a light cough, retaining her calm and composed aura as she fluttered her golden butterfly wings a few times before saying embarrassedly: ¡°My bad, that was unbecoming of me.¡±


    ¡°It¡¯s fine, I found it to be cute in all honesty.¡± Yu said, stating how he felt with sincerity. But his honest intentions only made the Spirit Queen more embarrassed as her cheeks started turning red and her wings twitching.


    ¡°As a Queen, I¡¯m not supposed to be cute!¡± The Spirit Queen exclaimed bashfully, but this made her even more adorable in Yu¡¯s eyes.


    ¡°Yes yes, the Great Spirit Queen is not cute at all.¡± Yu replied flatly, as if he was letting her know that it was a lie. Unfortunately, the Spirit Queen didn¡¯t buy his words as she silently pouted at Yu, teary eyed at his bullying.


    ¡°Well, if you really want to see my soul again, then I think I could do something similar...¡±

    ¡°Really?!¡± The Spirit Queen excitedly said, causing her eyes widen in delight and her wings to flutter.


    Satisfied with her reaction, Yu lightly smiled as he explained: ¡°It¡¯ll be best if we do it outside, I don¡¯t want to ruin your home after all.¡±


    ¡°Okay, let¡¯s go!¡± The Spirit Queen agreed, pulling Yu¡¯s hand as the two of them went outside. Yu, who had never held the hands of another girl outside his family, lightly blushed as he felt the Spirit Queen¡¯s soft and warm hand. Fortunately, the Spirit Queen was too excited to notice this, let alone see his blushing appearance.


    Unaware of her intimate action, the Spirit Queen stared at Yu, still holding his hand.


    Coughing lightly, Yu spoke in a joking manner, still somewhat flustered: ¡°My dear Spirit Queen, as much as I enjoy holding your hand, you should let go for now.¡±

    Finding her more and more adorable, Yu decided to fulfill her wish of seeing something similar to his soul. Since letting all his strength out at once could cause some damage, Yu decided to slowly increase his strength.


    Released 1/10ths of his strength, causing the Spirit Queen to be surprised as she can see a beautiful light emanate from Yu. Soon, he released 2/10ths, causing a greenish blue light to glow off of is his body, but the Spirit Queen see¡¯s things differently as the light emanating from Yu grew twice as vivid and beautiful than before.


    ¡°Beautiful¡­¡± The Spirit Queen muttered as she was lost in the beautiful light that Yu emitted. Though she was not alone as spirits from all over started gathering around Yu¡¯s aura.


    Seeing her dumbfounded appearance, a sense of pride grew in Yu¡¯s heart before he released 4/10ths of his strength, causing the air to fluctuate and his greenish blue aura to rise to the height of 4 meters.


    ¡°Saint level expert!¡± The Spirit Queen exclaimed.


    ¡°Saint level expert? What does it mean?¡± Yu asked as he found this to be the perfect opportunity to ask, after all, the Spirit Queen already knew what kind of person Yu is.


    ¡°Hmmm, in this world, cultivation is divided into 9 stages, the 1st being Body Tempering Stage, 2nd is Apprentice Stage, 3rd is the Intermediate Stage, 4th is the Blood Tempering Stage, 5th is the Advanced Stage, 6th is the Spirit Stage and is widely considered to the level of strength needed before one can be considered as a powerhouse in this world, 7th is the Master Stage, 8th is the Origin Stage, when one is able to gather enough Qi to fly and last but not the least is the 9th stage, the Saint Stage, the peak of this world!¡± The Spirit Queen explained.

    ¡°Saint Stage Peak?!¡± The Spirit Queen exclaimed, finding it hard to believe. But remembering his story, she calmed down as she continued to watch. Soon, the whole area inside the Great Spirit Tree became greenish blue as Yu¡¯s aura painted the interior its color.


    What was amazing is that the surrounding grass started growing more vivid, the spirits around them became brighter and more filled with life, as if Yu¡¯s aura was making them grow. It wouldn¡¯t be strange, after all, the soul is the root of all life! To receive nourishment for the souls is far more effective than receiving the physical kind, even more potent than Qi, the main source of energy for experts!


    Seeing this wondrous scene play out, the Spirit Queen can¡¯t help but be shocked! As Yu doesn¡¯t only attract spirits, he can also nurture them to become more powerful just by existing! Terrifying! His soul is too terrifying!


    Sadly, the Spirit Queen isn¡¯t given any time to regain her composure as Yu releases 7/10ths of his strength! Causing his aura to soar to a terrifying height of 7-8 meters! It¡¯s width and thickness expanded as well, making it look like an enormous greenish blue flame, lighting up the interior of the Great Spirit Tree.


    The grass, plants and all manners of life around Yu grew exponentially faster! To the point where one could see a flower nearby bloom from being a small bud into a full flower! Slowly but surely, even the Great Spirit Tree is undergoing changes as the interwoven vines that make up its body started moving, slowly crawling upwards as the entire tree changes its shape.


    Yu who was fascinated by this change decided to go all out! Releasing all of his strength, causing the nearby Spirit Queen to be scared witless!


    His aura soared, reaching 13 or so meters into the air, lighting up the entire tree with its light, even pulsating as it glows, blowing powerful gales as it did. The plant life around him exploded in growth! Like a wave of water in a desert, his aura caused the plants to emit a glow with each of his Aura¡¯s pulse and as for the spirits, they eventually evolved! Evolving into a Spirit Elf! Yaya, on the other hand, had her butterfly like wings grow larger as it increased three folds in size!


    What is he?! His soul is actually this powerful! Reaching a realm above saints¡­ a Demigod?! The Spirit Queen thought as she could not find any other explanation as to how his soul can cause such a disturbance. Even she could feel her power grow stronger by basking in Yu¡¯s powerful soul, if she could stay like this for a few months then she could without a doubt reach the peak of Saint Stage! A dream of every expert in this world!


    The Great Spirit Tree¡¯s glow became more intense, as its originally light blue glow became pure white! Its body grew larger, possibly exceeding800 meters as it¡¯s interwoven walls grew thicker! Shedding its multi colored leaves, it instead got replaced by pure white leaves that emit a silver light! The Great Spirit Tree evolved! Its roots dug deeper and reached a much further range, causing the ground surrounding the Great Spirit Tree to deform, but also start to receive change as the surrounding tree begin to emit a light blue glow!Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval.     Feeling that he might have overdone things, Yu slowly suppressed his strength, as to calm things down.


    However, the sudden disappearance of the aura didn¡¯t stop the growth of his surroundings, as they grew nonetheless, albeit slower. The spirits, now Spirit Elves, flew all around the Great Spirit Tree¡¯s interior as if they were playing around with their new found forms.


    The Spirit Queen who was the first to recover from such groundbreaking changes stared at Yu with a complex expression. On one side, she wanted to thank him for these changes, on the other, she wants to ask many many more questions.


    Not knowing how to respond, her train of thought got disturbed by Yu as he spoke: ¡°I think I may have over did things¡­ Ha hah¡­¡± Scratching the back of his head, he wanted to apologize to the Spirit Queen.


    ¡°N-no¡­ It¡¯s fine, actually, I should be giving you my thanks! The Great Spirit tree has grown so much, the same can be said for the spirits. It¡¯s amazing you know? What you did just now.¡± The Spirit Queen did not hold back on the praises as she gave Yu a warm smile.


    ¡°Thanks? I mean, I didn¡¯t expect this to happen honestly, I just wanted to see what would happen so I got a little bit careless¡­¡± Yu replied apologetically.


    ¡°It¡¯s fine! It¡¯s fine, really! Thank you for what you did, the Great Spirit Tree managed to reach its next state in life, thought it wouldn¡¯t be appropriate to call it the Great Spirit Tree now as it became a higher being.¡± The Spirit Queen explained excitedly.


    ¡°A higher being? What did it turn into?¡± Yu asked curiously.


    ¡°A Great Divine tree, the records left by my ancestors call this kind of tree Yggdrasil, the highest state a form of plant life can reach. It¡¯s amazing you know?!¡± The Spirit Queen exclaimed, delighted by these changes as her home grew more grand and beautiful.


    ¡°This tree is very important to me as a Spirit Queen, it and I share a connection allowing me to control it. Not only does it serve a home for me, but a home to all my children, the spirits. It¡¯s a sacred and holy place for spirit kind.¡± The Spirit Queen continued to explain.


    However, she soon grew quiet as she started to ponder over a few things. Yu who has been staring at the Spirit Queen all this time wanted to say something, but seeing her troubled expression, he decided to keep quiet for now.


    Soon, the Spirit Queen firmly decided, heading back inside her small home as she searched for an item. In a few seconds, the Spirit Queen came out and in her hands was a beautiful silver pendant that has a beautiful greenish blue crystal embedded in the middle of the pendant, emitting a faint glow.


    ¡°This is my spirit pendant, it¡¯s a very special pendant so take very good care of it!¡± The Spirit Queen warned, emphasizing on the word ¡°special¡± as she gave it to Yu.


    ¡°Why so?¡± Yu asked as he accepted the pendant.


    His question made the Spirit Queen turn bright red as she is unable to look him in the eyes. Quiet, apart from the blowing of the wind and the noise the Spirit Elves made, it was quiet. Yaya who woke up from her stupor from receiving strength from Yu flew towards the Spirit Queen.


    Quickly spotting the Pendant in Yu¡¯s hand, Yaya immediately spoke: ¡°Papa?¡±


    ¡°Eh?¡± Yu exclaimed, causing the nearby Spirit Queen started to turn burning hot as steam started rising from her head and her wings violently fluttering.


    ¡°Papa?¡± Yu asked Yaya, still recovering from her words.


    ¡°Un! Papa!¡± Yaya excitedly exclaimed as she floated towards Yu.


    ¡°What do you mean by Papa?¡± Yu asked, not wanting to believe that a spirit he¡¯s met today is calling him Papa, somewhat hoping that it has another meaning at the same time not.


    ¡°Papa means papa!¡± Yaya exclaimed, unable to read the mood between Yu and the Spirit Queen.


    Still confused, Yu glanced at the Spirit Queen, but became terrified as she looked as if she was about to pass out at any moment! She was burning hot! Her eyes lost focus as beads of sweat started perspiring on her forehead and her wings spasms violently.


    Afraid that she might collapse, Yu went forward, grabbing the Spirit Queen¡¯s shoulder to wake her up. But doing so only made the already flustered Spirit Queen to break from her trance as she started squirming about.


    This unexpected action caused the two of them to lose balance, with Yu falling backwards and the Spirit Queen following after.


    ¡°Oh!¡± Yaya exclaimed as she saw something she probably shouldn¡¯t have.


    As the two fell, their lips just happened to be aligned causing them to overlap.


    Silence, absolute silence! The two could not respond, and by the time they did, more than a minute has passed! Finally breaking loose of the long kiss, the Spirit Queen did not jump back, nor did she scold Yu, instead she only lifted her head a few inches away from Yu, staring intently at his gentle eyes.


    Yu did the same, not squirming and instead staring back, as if the two mutually understood each other with just a glance. More time pass as the two just stared at each other and before long, Yu slowly closed his eyes leaning his head forward as the Spirit Queen did the same, locking lips with each other as the two had another fit of passion.


    Yaya who was witnessing this exclaimed: ¡°Oh my!¡± as she turned away, extremely shy.


    More time pass as the two figures lying on the ground continued their showcase of newfound love. The scenery grew sweet as Yu hugged the Spirit Queen¡¯s waist as she entrusted her body weight onto his.


    Eventually, the two lips part and their eyes meet.


    ¡°Will you take responsibility?¡± The Spirit Queen asked as she began to worry, not breaking contact with Yu¡¯s clear and gentle eyes, as if she was trying to sense any changes. But of course, as Yu was someone who could not tell a lie when someone looked him in the eyes, she did not find any as his eyes remained clear and serene, granting the Spirit Queen a sense of comfort.


    Lightly smiling, Yu replied as he gave her forehead a kiss: ¡°Of course.¡±


    ¡°Do you like me?¡± The Spirit Queen asked bashfully.


    ¡°I do, I like you very much.¡± Yu replied as he gave a wonderful smile.


    ¡°You won¡¯t oppose to having me as your wife?¡± The Spirit Queen asked, seemingly worried.


    ¡°Will you oppose to having me as your husband? What if I¡¯m actually an evil fellow who¡¯s acting good to get to you?¡± Yu playfully replied.


    ¡°I don¡¯t believe that you¡¯re that kind of person. Your soul is pure and kind, without the slightest impurity.¡± The spirit Queen decisively said.


    ¡°Then do you believe that I will oppose to having a person like you as my wife?¡± Yu asked.


    ¡°No¡­ You won¡¯t¡­¡± The Spirit Queen replied with a slight blush.


    Hearing her answer, Yu smiled as he said: ¡°Well, I may just like you for now, but I¡¯m sure that I will learn to love your adorable self as time goes on.¡±


    Hearing his words caused the Spirit Queen to blush further, as she tried her best to reply: ¡°I will learn to l-l-love you as well¡­¡±


    With those words, the two stood up, cheeks rosy as they dusted the dirt off their clothes.


    Coughing lightly, the Spirit Queen stood in front of Yu helping him put on the Spirit pendant and soon, the greenish blue crystal lit up immensely, forcing the two to close their eyes! Engulfing the pair of lovers as it did and eventually, the light died down and their two figures revealed.


    Opening his eyes, he discovered that the pendant became smaller, although more beautiful as it became covered in silvery white runes. In front of him stood the Spirit Queen, with the same necklace around her neck, increasing her loveliness by a few folds.


    ¡°It looks good on you.¡± Yu teased, satisfied in his heart.


    ¡°It looks good on you too¡­¡± The Spirit Queen bashfully replied as her wings fluttered, nearly making Yu¡¯s heart melt. Unable to hold back, he hugged her waist and pulling her closer.


    ¡°So¡­¡± He whispered into her ears.


    As her ears were quite sensitive, the Spirit Queen shuddered before replying: ¡°Yes?¡±


    ¡°Does this makes us husband and wife?¡± Yu replied gently.


    Not uttering a word, she gave a small nod, hugging Yu back with her slender arms.


    Satisfied with her answer, Yu hugged her tightly. The two did not separate for a while, as they sought


    each other¡¯s warmth, ignoring the events that were happening around them.


    Actually, the Spirits that became Spirit Elves had already stopped wandering about as they surrounded Yu and the Spirit Queen, but under the leadership of Yaya, they did not disturb the two lovers.


    An hour passes, but the two did seem to tire as they remained in place, standing in each other¡¯s arms. But reluctantly, the two separate.


    Holding onto her hands, Yu gently said: ¡°Does my beloved wife want a name?

    Hearing his words, the Spirit Queen did not answer immediately, instead staring into his eyes for a while.


    Eventually, she answered him lovingly: ¡°I do, but don¡¯t pick a bad one!¡±


    ¡°Hmm, I won¡¯t make any promises saying it¡¯ll be the best name in the world, but I shall do my best to give you a name you won¡¯t be ashamed to have.¡± Yu said, giving her a gentle smile.


    One should know, receiving a name is the most important part of a spirits life! Not only that but the one who gives them a name will be spiritually connected, able to sense where each other is no matter the distance between and if the bond is stronger, they¡¯ll be able to converse as well.


    Hence, the act of the Spirit Queen allowing Yu to grant her a name is astonishing! After all, these two just met today! Perhaps arranged by fate that these two souls met and became husband and wife.


    ¡°Xue Lanruo.¡± Yu lovingly said into her ears, causing her to shiver before she eventually became engulfed by a divine golden light, completely covering her figure, forming a pure white cocoon of sorts!


    Seeing this scared Yu witless! But remembering her explanation on how a name can grant a spirit great power, his worries calmed as he patiently waited for the light to vanish.


    But soon, he started to grow worried again, as it¡¯s been a few hours already and the sun outside started to set. Fortunately, Yggdrasil was well lit, allowing him to see clearly. Grabbing some rations, he ate, not leaving the pure white cocoon¡¯s side for even a second as inside was his beloved wife.


    More time passes, but Yu did not tire, waiting patiently for Lanruo to emerge.


    ¡°Papa, where¡¯s mama?¡± Yaya asked as she returned, hovering over him.


    Still not used to being called Papa, Yu awkwardly replied: ¡°Inside that beautiful white cocoon.¡±


    ¡°Really? When will mama come out?¡± Yaya asked, a bit worried.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know, but I¡¯m sure she¡¯ll be out in no time!¡± Yu said as he smiled, comforting Yaya.


    ¡°Okay! Since Papa says so, it must be true!¡± Yaya replied in joy.


    Sadly, by the time the sun has risen, the cocoon remained, only growing in size as time went on. But Yu was not so impatient, sitting by the cocoon and patiently waiting for the time Lanruo will emerge. It did not matter how long, as Yu did not have any thoughts of complaint, nor did he have thoughts of leaving, silently waiting beside the cocoon.


    At times, Yaya would come over, asking about the cocoon to which Yu would assure her as to not make her worry. Eventually, a week passes just like that. Yu at times would think about his mission, but he firmly believed that staying by his wife¡¯s side was more important, disregarding any thoughts to leave, showcasing that the Spirit Queen¡¯s position in Yu¡¯s heart has already taken root, being the first person in this world he¡¯s truly cared about.


    Fortunately, the mission didn¡¯t have a time limit, giving Yu all the time in the world to finish it.


    A few more days pass, the cocoon had already doubled in size, looking as if it would burst at any moment! These days, Yu had grown more attentive of the cocoon, not minding the loss of sleep as it was no problem to someone who¡¯s body was handcrafted by a god.


    Eventually, the moment of truth! The cocoon began to form cracks as multiple rays of light pierced outwards. Soon, the cocoon rips open, revealing a blinding divine light that lit up the entire tree.


    ¡°Leng Yu¡­¡± A beautiful voice rang out, causing Yu to smile as it was his beloved wife.


    The light died down, revealing Xue Lanruo¡¯s figure. Clad in a beautiful dress decorated with glowing golden vines. Her originally pale blonde hair became more radiant as if it were glowing, her skin became smoother and somehow more fluorescent, causing her to look younger, and her beautiful golden eyes glow brighter than ever! Her butterfly wings grew larger, more vivid and elegant, being more visible than before even. Not just that, but her strength has reached a breakthrough, standing at the peak of the Saint Stage. Sadly, Yu who couldn¡¯t tell the vast difference between an average Saint Stage expert and a Peak Saint Stage didn¡¯t notice this.


    ¡°Do you like your name?¡± Yu teased, unable to control himself as he pulled her into his embrace.


    ¡°Yes¡­¡± Lanruo softly replied, her wings fluttering in joy.


    ¡°That¡¯s good.¡± Yu said as he tightened his hug before letting go.

    ¡°Mama!¡± Yaya exclaimed as she dived straight into Lanruo¡¯s bosom, sandwiched between Yu and her as if she was in the brink of tears. This sudden act caused her to be confused.


    ¡°What¡¯s wrong?¡± Xue Lanruo asked.


    ¡°Mama has been in that cocoon for nearly two weeks! Papa hasn¡¯t left your side, but Yaya was worried!¡± Yaya exclaimed her grief as Xue Lanruo held her closer.


    ¡°You¡¯ve stayed by my side for two weeks?¡± Xue Lanruo said in surprise, glancing at Yu who held her in his embrace.


    ¡°Mhm, even I started to worry, ha hah¡­¡± Yu said, giving a hollow laugh.


    Feeling this person care some much about her, someone he met for barely a day, she could not help but felt warmth, her eyes started to moisten as she tightened her hold on Yu and Yaya, silently embracing them both as she¡¯s thankful to have such a wonderful family in her life.


    ¡°It¡¯s good that you¡¯re fine.¡± Yu said in relief as he tenderly caressed her head.


    Feeling his hand, Xue Lanruo leaned forward as she enjoyed Yu¡¯s warmth before asking him a question: ¡°Would you have waited for me still if took me years to come out?¡±


    ¡°Of course, why wouldn¡¯t I wait?¡± Yu replied without hesitation, making Lanruo¡¯s heart melt as she felt the sincerity behind his voice. Smiling sweetly she gave him a light peck on the lips as she became bashful afterwards.


    The two spent some more time together, getting to know each other better as they told each other stories about their lives. The first time Lanruo heard of this other world, her curiosity has already been piqued as she would often be the one asking questions during the time the two were together.


    ¡°So you had these large metal machines known as cars?¡± Lanruo asked with her eyes shining brightly, filled to the brim with anticipation. She closely sat next to Yu as he was illustrating what cars looked like. Although his drawing was flimsy, Lanruo greatly appreciated it nonetheless.


    ¡°Yep, they¡¯re like carriages and sedans, but they didn¡¯t need monsters to pull them, all you needed was a form of fuel to make them run.¡± Yu explained with the best of his ability to let someone who¡¯s never been to modern china understand.


    ¡°I see!     Apart from eating and tasting different kinds of fruits and vegetables together, the two would continue discussing many things as they enjoyed a fragrant cup of tea, a hobby they both shared causing the two to grow even closer.


    Yu also greatly benefited from spending time here, as Lanruo drilled some common sense into Yu. Teaching him about how this world works and about the many experts that roam it. But Lanruo who originally expected him to have a hard time understanding became pleasantly surprised as Yu digested the information at a wonderful rate, allowing her to teach him more and more things about this world.


    After all, Yu already got the general gist of what this world is about, remembering the novels he¡¯s read before about these awesome(in the biblical sense) immortals.


    It would be a lie if Yu said that he didn¡¯t enjoy his time here, as this was probably the most joy he¡¯s had in this world thus far. But sadly, he remembered what he originally came for.


    But instead of obtaining directions, he managed to obtain a beautiful wife and child! Truly, his ancestors must¡¯ve been great divine saints that wandered the earth, doing as many good deeds as humanly possible. After spending a week and a half more together, Yu decided to continue on his mission for now, promising Lanruo that he¡¯ll return the moment he finishes it.


    Although reluctant, Lanruo still decided to guide Yu through Yaya, pointing him towards where the Ancient Flowering Lotus bloomed as Yaya was also somewhat familiar with the Ancient Forest¡¯s terrain. But remembering his massive map, Yu slapped his forehead, taking it out and letting Lanruo have a look.


    She was astonished! Such a detailed map! She thought as this map contained every single landmark in the Ancient Forest! Even the Great Spirit Tree was in it. With Lanruo¡¯s help, Yu finally managed to find the red dot that Tian Shen mentioned!


    Tiny! This damn dot is too tiny! Yu exclaimed in his heart as the dot was the size of a random speck of dust. Thankfully, his vision and memory were quite good, as he could easily spot the dot again if he tried. Noticing the size of the Ancient Forest, he was shocked as it covered nearly 1/8ths of the Divine continent! With Yggdrasil at its middle, occupying a large area.


    Seeing this, Yu glanced at the nearby Lanruo, feeling his curious glance, she coughed lightly as her cheeks blushed.


    ¡°The spirits maintain a large majority of this world, having this much land is reasonable.¡± She replied with a hint of pride in her words.


    Nodding to her as he found her position to be admirable as he praised her work in a playful manner. Of course, his praise only caused Lanruo to turn red as she bashfully hit his chest, teary eyed at his bullying.


    Folding the map to make it so that only the portion of Ancient Forest is shown, Yu and Yaya got ready to set off.


    As to why Yaya was still coming along, Lanruo decided that it would be a good experience for Yaya to see more of the world, letting her travel with Yu as he trusts his ability to protect her.


    But of course, before Yu left, Lanruo ran up to him, giving him a long and passionate kiss which Yu welcomed, returning the kiss with an even more passionate one as he¡¯s grown to love this adorable Spirit Queen more and more these last couple of days.


    ¡°Oh my!¡± Yaya exclaimed as she hid away, trying her best not to peek.


    Finally ready to set off, Yu asked Lanruo: ¡°Can¡¯t come with us?¡±


    ¡°As much as I want to, I can¡¯t. With the recent changes to the Great Spirit Tree, now Yggdrasil, as well as all the new Spirit Elves, I can¡¯t come along with you until I¡¯ve properly guided these children and properly distributed the now larger territory of Yggdrasil to the other spirits.¡± Lanruo replied with a sigh. She¡¯s the Spirit Queen after all, holding a very heavy position as the head of all the spirits!


    Reluctant, the two kiss one last time before they separate.


    Fortunately, the spiritual link between the Yu and Lanruo is strong enough to converse, making the two lovers rejoice as they can converse with one another.


    After Yu and Yaya set off, they wasted no time as they dashed towards their destination with even more vigor than when they first started, instantly releasing 3/10ths of his strength. Yaya who grew stronger than before had her speed greatly improved! Forcing Yu to use 3/10ths of his strength to the absolute limits just to catch up! Utilizing his boundless energy and unconsciously using the 7 Misty Ghost Steps. Fortunately, Yaya was considerate, slowing her pace down to travel along the forest with her new found father.


    ¡°Based on what Mama told me, this should be where the Ancient Flowering Lotus blooms!¡± Yaya exclaimed. Taking out his map, Yu could see that they are growing closer to a lake.


    Eventually, the two reach the lake, and in the middle was a grey glowing lotus! It matched the description of the Ancient Flowering Lotus perfectly! Yu then saw that there was a stone paved path that headed towards the lotus, conveniently placed on the surface of the lake.


    But as he approached the path, a voice rang out in his head.


    ¡°Yu, I forgot to warn you!¡± Lanruo¡¯s sweet voice resounded in his head.


    Replying, Yu asked: ¡°Warn me about?¡±


    ¡°The Ancient Flowering Lotus is often guarded by a powerful rogue water spirit!¡± Lanruo exclaimed as she worried for him. She knew fully well how strong Yu was, but anyone no matter how powerful could still get hurt if they got careless! Therefore she immediately warned him about the danger. After all, what kind of person would want their sweetheart to get hurt?


    Luckily, Lanruo¡¯s warning came just in time, causing Yu to leap back as a large hand made of strange colored water smashed the spot where he originally stood.


    ¡°Ah!¡± Yaya shrieked as she flew backwards, avoiding another large hand made of strange colored water that flew at her.


    ¡°Rogue Water Spirit!¡± Yaya exclaimed as Lanruo had once educated her about the many kinds of spirits in this world.


    ¡°Yaya! What are rogue spirits?¡± Yu asked as he grew curious of these strange beings.


    ¡°From what mama told me, they¡¯re spirits that do not follow the will of Mama!¡± Yaya explained.


    ¡°Spirits that don¡¯t follow Lanruo¡¯s will?¡± Yu repeated her words, asking for confirmation.


    ¡°Un! They¡¯re bad spirits that decided to harm others for their own selfish desires! Yaya doesn¡¯t like them very much¡­¡± Yaya explained as she showed her disdain towards these spirits.


    Since they¡¯re evil spirits, I wouldn¡¯t feel too bad killing them! Yu thought, as after spending time with Lanruo and Yaya, he became very fond of the existence of Spirits, his wife and daughter are spirits after all!


    ¡°GURAAAAAAAAAGH!!!¡±


    A powerful roar resounded, causing the calm lake to violently stir! Soon, a 7 meter tall figure emerged from the lake! It¡¯s body made of strange colored water as it took the form of an enormous four armed giant!


    On its head was a large glowing blue crystal, about the size of a fist! Acting as its eye, it rotated and moved about in its head, seemingly alive as it did.


    Should be its weakness! Yu thought, firmly believing so. Sadly, he could not be any more wrong as this was nothing but a decoy! Its true body lies underneath the water, out of Yu¡¯s sight!


    But as Yu was dead set on destroying the gem like eye, the focus of the Rogue Water Spirit was on Yaya as she did her best to avoid the evil spirit¡¯s clutches. Seeing this, Yu did not waste time as he grabbed a nearby stone, throwing it at an unbelievable speed towards the crystal stone, slightly missing as grazed the side of it, causing a minor crack to appear on its surface.


    Damn! Yu exclaimed in his heart. But at least this time around, the focus of the Rogue Water Spirit was on Yu, losing interest on the agile Yaya.


    Seeing this, Yu took on a fighting stance, arms raised and knees bent, like an agile tiger who¡¯s ready pounce at his next victim! His eyes grew sharp as he waited for a chance to strike the beast, believing this to be a valuable battle experience. After all, Yu was an amateur fighter, he might be able to release an absurd amount of strength but it would be useless if a single attack can¡¯t hit!


    The Rogue Water Spirit charged forward, only to realize that Yu was out of reach as he was on dry land. Feeling belittled as it cannot leave the lake¡¯s surface, the Rogue Water Spirit¡¯s stomach bulged! Before a powerful blast of water was released from its head, aimed at Yu!


    As his reflexes weren¡¯t well trained, he was forced to block! Doing this caused the water to redirect to his side, hitting the trunk of one of the larger trees as it penetrated through its thick trunk!


    Such terrifying pressure! Exclaimed, forgetting the fact that he is currently redirecting that pressure. The tree fell as the water destroyed 2/3rds of its trunk! Causing its near 50 meter tall body to crash forward, smashing towards the Rogue Water Spirit¡¯s body.


    But sadly, this amount of force was only able to slightly deform its body as it lifted the massive tree with ease. But doing so left it open to attacks! Taking this chance, Yu leapt forward, dashing at the rogue water spirit, aiming for gem in its head.


    The Rogue Spirit Sensed this as it started manipulating the gem to start moving around its massive body. But Yu was quick! Picking up a nearby rock as he leaped in the air, getting ready to crush the gem with the rock in his hand.


    Swishhhh!


    A powerful wind blew as Yu threw the rock into the Rogue Spirits Body! But the gem shifted just in time, causing the rock to miss the gem.


    Disappointed, Yu wanted throw another rock as he landed when all of a sudden, the gem like eye lost light as its massive body fell apart!


    ¡°Eh?!¡± Yu exclaimed in confusion as he landed.


    Is it leaving? Did it lose interest? Oi oi! Come back here! I¡¯m not done with you yet! Yu became somewhat infuriated at this Rogue Water Demon. But as he was about the pursue, Yaya came.


    ¡°Wow! Papa found its weakness!¡± She exclaimed excitedly as she hovered in front of Yu.


    ¡°Weakness?¡± Yu asked.


    ¡°Un! Mama told me that Rogue Water Spirits like this one have two main bodies, one is a decoy that it shows to its opponents, and another is the actual body! This actual body is very well hidden, and you can¡¯t hurt the spirit without it!¡± Yaya explained.


    ¡°I see¡­¡± Yu replied, somewhat embarrassed as he was being played by the Rogue Water Spirit all this time!


    But by great luck, he defeated it! Wondering what its main body looked like, Yu went to where he threw the rock, discovering an enormous gem around the size of a watermelon cracked in half! Assuming that the rock he threw split the gem in half, destroying the Rogue Water Spirit¡¯s main body. Not knowing whether he should laugh or cry, he stored the gem in his bag as he went to grab the Ancient Flowering Lotus.

    Taking out the black box from his bag, he placed the Ancient Flowering Lotus inside before shoving it back into his bag.


    Remembering Lanruo, Yu sent her a message through their connection. As to how he figured out how to do this, Yu felt that he just can, unable to explain why.


    ¡°Lanruo, we defeated the Rogue Water Spirit.¡± Yu said, letting Lanruo know.


    ¡°You found its actual body?¡± Lanruo replied in curiosity.


    ¡°Yeah¡­ Something like that¡­¡± Yu explained in a dubious manner.


    Sensing his tone, Lanruo asked: ¡±You got lucky?¡±


    ¡°Yeah¡­¡± Yu replied honestly, causing Lanruo to sigh.


    ¡°Be more careful next time and don¡¯t charge in blindly!¡± Lanruo reprimanded Yu, but instead of feeling annoyed or angry, Yu felt a wave of warmth sweep his heart.


    ¡°Yes yes, your husband shall be more careful next time.¡± Yu jokingly said, although he did so, Lanruo was contented with his answer.


    ¡°Okay, though I need to go now, the Spirit Elves are causing trouble in the Ancient Fire Spirit¡¯s territory. Take care now, I¡¯ll talk to you later.¡± She hurriedly said.


    ¡°Aye, take care as well.¡± Yu replied as he shifted his attention to Yaya, who was wondering what he was doing.


    ¡°Yaya.¡± Yu called out as he glanced at her.


    ¡°Yes?¡± Yaya replied.


    ¡°Have you ever been to Nantian City?¡± Yu asked.


    ¡°Nope! But I do want to visit it, Mama told me that it¡¯s the closest human city to the Ancient Forest!¡± Yaya replied as if she was expecting something out of Yu.


    ¡°Then do you want me to take you there?¡± Yu asked.


    ¡°Yes!¡± Yaya replied excitedly.


    ¡°Hmm, though you can¡¯t go in the city in that form.¡± Yu exclaimed as he sized up Yaya¡¯s appearance. A glowing sphere of greenish blue light that had a large set of butterfly wings, too conspicuous!


    ¡°Oh! I think I can do something about that!¡± Yaya exclaimed as her light drastically grew brighter!


    Eventually, the figure of a small 6-7 year old girl appeared, with a beautiful pair of golden eyes, long pale blonde hair and a pair of long pointed ears, dressed in a clean white one piece dress.


    She looks like a smaller version of Lanruo¡­ Yu thought as those were the first words to enter his head. Nodding his head, before asking: ¡°Since when can you turn into an elf?¡±


    ¡°Hmm, since I¡¯ve absorbed Papa¡¯s Spirit Qi!¡± She replied.


    ¡°Okay, then how long can you maintain this form?¡±


    ¡°For a long long time!¡± Yaya replied cutely as she waved her arms about.


    Hearing her reply, Yu gave a slight smile as he placed his hand on her head, rubbing it gently.


    ¡°Hehehe¡± Yaya giggled, seemingly enjoying the warmth Yu gave her.


    ¡°Exactly how long is a long long time?¡± Yu further asked.


    ¡°As long as Yaya has Spirit Qi!¡± Yaya replied.


    ¡°I see, how do you recover Spirit Qi?¡± Yu asked yet again.


    ¡°Hmmm, mama told me that it can recover through time, but it looks like I can also absorb some from papa!¡± Yaya explained excitedly.


    ¡°Well, that¡¯s good.¡± Yu sighed in relief before continuing: ¡°We got the Ancient Flowering Lotus, so let¡¯s head out.¡±


    ¡°Okay!¡± Yaya exclaimed as she followed after Yu, but since she¡¯s not used to walking with a pair of legs, she ended up tripping a few times, falling clumsily face first, causing her adorable face to become dirty.


    Chuckling for a bit, Yu used the edge of his robes to wipe the dirt away from Yaya¡¯s teary eyed face. Realizing that she won¡¯t make it to Nantian City at this rate, Yu asked Yaya to return back to her Spirit Elf form, but he was fiercely denied by her.


    ¡°No! I want to know what it feels like to be like Papa!¡± She exclaimed, determined to stay in this form.


    Seeing this, Yu gave in, offering her a ride on his shoulders to which she happily accepted. Like that, the two made their way back to the city. Yu ran, unconsciously utilizing 7 Misty Ghost Steps, as he breezed through the terrain like a ghost.


    Yaya who experienced this mystical feeling was greatly amazed, exclaiming ¡°Whoa!¡± as she held Yu¡¯s head tightly, trying her best not to fall off.


    Following the map, Yu eventually sees Nantian City in the distance. As it was still in the afternoon, Yu¡¯s figure was spotted by one of the guards.


    As they arrived at the gate, the large doors opened, revealing the man in armor from before.


    ¡°Who¡¯s the kid?¡± The man asked, stunned at the beautiful young girl on his shoulders.


    ¡°My daughter, Yaya, greet uncle!¡± Yu playfully replied as he asked Yaya to greet him.


    ¡°Yaya greets uncle!¡± Yaya exclaimed with a smile, enchanting some of the nearby guards.


    ¡°An elf? Also¡­ I¡¯m still young¡­.¡± The man replied, seemingly depressed as he heard someone as young as Yaya call him uncle. Little did he and Yu know, the lifespan of a Spirit Elf is enormous! Someone like Yaya has already lived for more than a few dozen years!


    ¡°Yeah, she said that she wanted to visit the city, so I brought her along when I visited my wife.¡± Yu replied vaguely, but his words were all true. Hearing him mention a wife, this bewildered the man in armor. He was shocked! How could this seemingly uninteresting and careless youth obtain such a presumably beautiful wife?!


    ¡°Are elves not allowed in the City?¡± Yu asked as he saw the man grow quiet.


    ¡°No¡­ Does she have an identification stone?¡± The man asked.


    ¡°She¡¯s lived with her mother all this time, so she doesn¡¯t really visit the City much. Sadly no, she doesn¡¯t have an identification stone.¡± Yu replied.Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.


    ¡°Identification stone? What¡¯s that?¡± Yaya asked.


    Seeing this, the corners of the man¡¯s mouth twitched.


    ¡°I doubt a child that small can cause trouble¡­ But please get her an identification stone¡­¡± The man pleaded Yu.


    ¡°Yeah¡­ I will¡­¡± Yu replied, finally granted passage into the city.


    As the two entered, Yaya waved at the man in armor as they left the gate, headed for the Mercenary Guild. But since it¡¯s been a while, nearing a month since he¡¯s left the city, Yu forgot where it is!


    Asking a few of the people nearby for directions, the made his way for the guild, attracting gazes along the way as Yaya was just too lovable! Throughout the entire time she¡¯s entered this city, Yaya¡¯s worn a bright smile that could cause others to brighten up with just a glance as her gaze wandered all over the place!


    Eventually, Yu realized that having a beautiful young girl on his shoulders is about as conspicuous as having a Spirit Elf! But thinking it¡¯s better this way, he didn¡¯t think too much about it.


    A few of the girls who were passing by ended up waving their hands at Yaya who sat on Yu¡¯s shoulders as she, being the playful spirit that she is, waved back happily.


    ¡°You seem to be enjoying yourself.¡± Yu asked her, feeling that it was the right choice to bring her along.


    ¡°Un! I¡¯ve been having lots of fun! There¡¯s so many nice humans!¡± Yaya exclaimed.


    ¡°That¡¯s good then, are you hungry at the moment?¡± Yu asked.


    Confused, Yaya replied: ¡°Hungry?¡±


    Only then did Yu remember that Yaya was originally a mass of light. Feeling a bit awkward, Yu continued as he explained it in a way that allowed her to understand: ¡°Hmmm, it¡¯s something we humans do to replenish our own Spirit Qi.¡±


    ¡°Oooh! Yaya wants to do it as well!¡± She replied, showing great interest in eating.


    ¡°Alright, after submitting the mission we¡¯ll head for a place nearby to find something to eat.¡± Yu said, wanting Yaya to experience the joy of eating.


    Deciding their plans for the afternoon, the two reached the guild. However, as having such an adorable child on your shoulders will make you stand out in public, let alone a mercenary guild, all eyes were on Yu and Yaya.


    Finding the youth from before, he greeted him.


    ¡°Yo!¡± Yu greeted with a smile as he found this youth to be pleasing.


    ¡°Yo~!¡± Yaya, mimicking Yu, greeted as well.


    Seeing this father and daughter duo, the corner of the youth¡¯s mouth twitched.


    ¡°You returned.¡± The youth said with a hint of amazement in his voice.


    ¡°Of course, although it was a bit troublesome with the Rogue Water Spirit, I managed to pull through.¡± Yu explained.


    ¡°Un! The bad water spirit was beaten by papa!¡± Yaya continued.


    Hearing her words, the surrounding mercenaries and a few other receptionists glanced at the two of them in shock! After all, a Rogue Water Spirit is considered as a threat even to a group of Rank A mercenaries! Hearing these two claim they¡¯ve killed one greatly bewildered them!


    But assuming that it was nothing more than empty words and them wanting to show off or cause a scene, the whole guild, excluding the youth as he feels that these two are extraordinary, ignored them. A few even cursed them in disdain!


    As Yaya was a spirit who¡¯s sensitive to ill intent, she heard their hateful words and felt their disdain, making her upset as she held onto Yu¡¯s head more firmly, her eyes becoming moist as she was about to cry.


    Realizing this, Yu immediately felt the need to beat the living hell out of these mercenaries for making his poor daughter upset! But as his rational side took over, he calmed down, grabbing Yaya¡¯s hand to comfort her before asking the youth a question.


    ¡°Is it possible to submit the body of the Rogue Water Spirit?¡±


    ¡°Yes, even if it isn¡¯t a part of the mission you took, hold on, I believe we have a mission that requires you to kill a Rogue Water Spirit, please give me a few seconds.¡± The youth respectfully said. As he was someone who was standing in front of Yu and Yaya, he could see the sudden change in Yaya¡¯s expression. Sighing as seeing such a heartbreaking sight would truly make anyone¡¯s blood boil!


    How dare they make such an adorable child this sad! The youth thought in his heart.


    Soon, the youth returned with another piece of paper. Handing it to Yu.


    ¡°Rank A Mission: Kill a Rogue Water Spirit and take back its body.¡± Yu read out, making a few mercenaries glance to take a look.


    ¡°Sounds about right, here¡¯s the Ancient Flowering Lotus along with the Rogue Water Spirit¡¯s body.¡± Yu said as he took out the black box along with the watermelon sized gem that¡¯s been severed in half from his bag, greatly shocking the on looking mercenaries!


    ¡°Amazing! It must¡¯ve been an Ancient variant as normal Rogue Water Spirits gems are nowhere near this large!¡± The Youth exclaimed before continuing: ¡°Give me a moment, I need to consult the branch manager on how to handle this.¡±


    The youth left his position with the Ancient Flowering Lotus and Rogue Water Spirit gem, leaving Yu and Yaya.


    Thankfully, the disdainful impression he and Yaya got disappeared, replaced by reverence from the crowd! Although this made the upset Yaya feel better, she was still somewhat sad.


    Helpless, Yu grabbed both her hands as he tried to comfort her.


    ¡°Hey, cheer up! We¡¯re gonna eat some delicious sweets after this you know?¡± Yu exclaimed as he gave Yaya a wide grin.


    ¡°Delicious sweets?¡± She repeated, confused as to what it meant.


    ¡°Mhm, it¡¯s something that even your mother likes, I¡¯m sure you¡¯ll like it as well!¡± Yu, enthusiastically said.


    ¡°Really?! Okay!¡± She excitedly said, her sadness swept away by a great tsunami of anticipation!


    Eventually, the youth returned, bringing a man in his later 40s, who¡¯s hair was swept back in an orderly fashion, donning a more intricate uniform compared to the youth.


    ¡°Are you mister Leng Yu?¡± The man asked.


    ¡°Yes.¡± Yu politely replied, making the man nod in approval.


    ¡°I¡¯m Meng Fan, the Nantian Mercenary Guild Branch head. Please follow me inside as I wish to discuss a few things with you.¡± Meng Fan explained.


    Meng Fan! The surrounding mercenaries exclaimed in their hearts. This Meng Fan was no ordinary figure! Being a member of the Meng family, one of the leading families in Nantian City, the authority he holds in the city is no joke!


    Feeling no ill intent, Yu followed after. Thankfully, Meng Fan allowed Yaya to come along. Entering a room that Yu presumed to be Meng Fan¡¯s office, Yu sat on the sofa that was in front of a table, placing Yaya down to sit on his lap, letting her gaze wander about.


    Meng Fan went behind his table, sitting down his chair before speaking.


    ¡°Is she your younger sister? You don¡¯t look alike.¡± Meng Fan asked, charmed by Yaya¡¯s lovable appearance.


    ¡°No, she¡¯s my daughter.¡± Yu explained.


    ¡°Un! Papa is papa!¡± Yaya continued, shocking Meng Fan as he secretly cursed Yu for his good luck in marrying what he presumed to be an absolute beauty. But his thoughts did not show in his face as he showed a calm smile.


    ¡°I see, mister Leng Yu must be blessed to have such a lovable child.¡± Meng Fan said.


    ¡°Indeed, I¡¯m thankful to have her and her mother.¡± Yu honestly said as he wore a satisfied expression on his face, causing Meng Fan to fiercely curse him in his heart!


    Coughing lightly, Meng Fan continued: ¡°I brought you here to discuss the rewards you¡¯ll receive for killing an Ancient Rogue Water Spirit, as well as obtaining the Ancient Blooming Lotus.¡±


    Hearing this, Yu and Yaya nodded their heads at the same time, making the corners of Meng Fan¡¯s mouth to slightly twitch.


    Regaining his composure, he continued: ¡°As the gem was much much larger than the usual variant, I¡¯ve decided to increase the rewards by ten folds.¡±


    ¡°¡°Oooh(~).¡±¡± Yu and Yaya unconsciously let out, causing the corners of Meng Fan¡¯s mouth to twitch more violently!


    ¡°As for the Ancient Flowering Lotus, its reward will be given along with the Ancient Rogue Water Spirit¡¯s. I¡¯ve already asked someone to fetch it from the guild¡¯s treasury so it shouldn¡¯t take long.¡± Meng Fan explained.


    ¡°That¡¯s good to know. Many thanks.¡± Yu expressed his gratitude as she and Yaya gave a light bow.


    ¡°It¡¯s rare to find someone complete two Rank A level missions for their first quest. In fact, I don¡¯t think anyone¡¯s done it before even.¡± Meng Fan said, expressing his surprise.


    ¡°Ha hah¡­ I just got lucky, that¡¯s all.¡± Yu modestly explained.


    ¡°Mhm, mister Leng Yu truly is lucky. Actually, I¡¯ve heard of your name before this.¡±


    ¡°Eh?¡± Confused, Yu let out a voice of disbelief.


    ¡°Indeed, the Ca Lang Empire¡¯s Emperor¡¯s been looking for you these last couple of weeks. Giving out a hefty reward for any information about your whereabouts.¡± Meng Fan explained.


    ¡°Eh?! Why? I don¡¯t believe that I¡¯ve done anything bad.¡± Yu explained himself.


    ¡°Un! Papa¡¯s a good person!¡± Exclaimed Yaya as she defended her father.


    Seeing the two so flustered, Meng Fan let out a warm laugh.


    ¡°Don¡¯t be mistaken mister Leng Yu, you¡¯re no criminal! The Ca Lang Empire¡¯s Emperor was just looking for you.¡± Meng Fan explained, easing Yu¡¯s worries.


    ¡°Why would he look for me?¡± Yu asked.

    Seeing this, Yaya imitated him as she picked up another menu, sadly, she cannot read a single character on it! Causing her cheeks to puff and her small mouth to pout.

Yu has tasted Jasmine tea in the past and found it to be alright, but upon seeing the word Yin added to it, Yu showed great interest as he ordered one right away, wanting to experience another of this world¡¯s unique flavors.

    ¡°Un! Papa! I want! I want!¡± Yaya exclaimed as she nodded her head, growing more excited as she did.

Much more potent than the 5 Petal Blooming Flower Tea! As for the taste, Yu was thoroughly satisfied as it was similar to earth¡¯s Jasmine Tea yet it was not!


    It was hot when it first got served, yet when Yu drank it, he felt the warm tea become a cool and refreshing liquid that washed down his throat as it entered his stomach, further spreading a cool and refreshing feeling throughout his body. He ate the rest of his cake as he gradually sipped his tea, watching over Yaya who was greatly overjoyed with the cakes she ate.


    In the end, Yaya ended up devouring three servings of the cake, increasing the amount of gold he had to pay. But he did not complain as he could see Yaya¡¯s very satisfied appearance, making him satisfied as well. Maybe it was his fatherly instincts finally starting kicking in?

As this world seemed to be similar to his previous world, he assumed that they belonged to the group that had a communication disorder!

    It was tastefully decorated, not too excessive yet one could feel that everything here was expensive. Although Yu was a man who did not enjoy spending money blindly, he made an exemption for today as he wanted Yaya to taste some good food.


    As they entered, they were greeted by the Hostess. A beautiful woman in her late 20s who wore a dark red dress. In her hands was a beautifully crafted notebook, making one realize that it¡¯s not so simple at a glance!

    ¡°And you¡¯re my wife.¡± Yu replied as he gave a smile from the bottom of his heart.


    Sensing his smile, Lanruo spoke with sincerity: ¡°I¡¯m happy I met you.¡±


    ¡°I¡¯m happy I met you as well.¡± Yu replied how he felt, washing away the heavy atmosphere from before as the mood became sweet, with the two lovers longing for each other¡¯s warmth.


    As for Yaya, she¡¯s long fell asleep on the bed, after all, Yu and Lanruo¡¯s been talking for two hours already! The two neglected the passage of time as they immersed in their own little world once more.


    Feeling it was already late, the stopped for now and went to sleep.

 Chapter 12: Old Men

    Chapter 12: Old Men


    Waking up in the morning, Yu felt refreshed from last night¡¯s talk with Lanruo. He did not know why, but he felt that he could finally put his ridiculously excessive strength to use! He felt that the way things are at the moment, he¡¯s yet to get a proper grasp on his strength.


    To describe things better, if he were to compare himself to a weapon, he would be a great Divine Dragon Cannon! However this Divine Dragon Cannon only knew how to destroy and despite the fact that you can aim and shoot, it was still dangerous to everyone! Hence, he decided that he shall earnestly strive to control his abilities, hoping to become a precise divine sword that can use its powerful edge to aid and protect his loved ones.


    Beside him, Yu saw Yaya who¡¯s still asleep. He saw her have a wide smile on her face as she slept, deciding not to wake her up for now.


    I should pick up another mission and head back to the Ancient Forest with Yaya. Yu thought as he eventually remembered his wife.


    ¡°Good morning, slept well?¡± Yu said as he sent Lanruo a message.


    ¡°Yes, though I need to begin my lectures for the Spirit Elves in a while. I can¡¯t talk for too long at the moment.¡± Lanruo said.


    ¡°Okay, I plan on going back today with Yaya after we settle a few things.¡± Yu replied.


    ¡°I shall wait for your return then.¡± She answered back with a sweet smile that had traces of longing. Although the two¡¯s only been apart for a day, they can¡¯t help but miss one another already. Especially after a conversation like last night¡¯s.


    ¡°I¡¯ll go for now then. Have a good day.¡± Yu smiled as he replied.


    ¡°Mhm, have a good day as well.¡± Lanruo said.


    With that, he went to the bathroom to freshen up and by the time he finished, he realized that Yaya¡¯s already awake.


    ¡°Good morning, I¡¯m guessing you slept well?¡± Yu asked, seeing her rub her eyes, Yu can¡¯t help but rub her little head.


    ¡°Un! Yaya slept very well!¡± Yaya replied with a smile.


    ¡°That¡¯s good then!¡± Yu exclaimed, wiping her body clean.


    After getting ready, the two went downstairs as they sat on a nearby table, getting food from the lady.


    ¡°Hey! Have you heard about what happened last night?!¡± The girl from before enthusiastically said.


    ¡°Yeah! The Saint Stage expert is back, and he taught that arrogant Meng Datien a lesson! Oh I wish I was there to see!¡± The second girl from before spoke.


    ¡°Dream on! You¡¯d probably faint the moment you realize that you¡¯re in a room with a Saint Stage expert!¡± The first girl exclaimed.


    ¡°What if I don¡¯t? Maybe I¡¯m even strong enough to withstand his aura!¡± The second girl exclaimed.

    ¡°I heard that after that guy fainted and cough showed their shameful side cough they immediately got kicked out of the Heavenly Pavilion! I also heard that Meng Batien was infuriated the moment he got out of meditation just this morning! He got so mad that he sent his younger brother flying across the street in front of their clan castle with the strength of an early Spirit Stage expert! His face even slid an impressive distance of around 30 meters! News like this sure travels fast!¡± The first girl said, filled to the brim with excitement! After all, where else could you find such a young Spirit Stage expert!

Seeing this, Yu turned around to go the other way, only to see another wall of soldiers, this time around, the soldiers wore a set of clean steel armor. They were surrounded!


    Their eyes were calm but hid a fierce aura, with one glance one could tell that these soldiers were no ordinary soldiers!


    They¡¯re probably battle hardened, but why would they block my way¡­ Does it have something to do with that arrogant guy from before? Yu thought as he started guessing the reasons why they stopped them.


    ¡°Can I help you?¡± Yu asked, although he was troubled, he wasn¡¯t scared. After all, he can kick their bottoms to the next dimension if they dare use force!


    But when he sensed that Yaya who sat on his shoulders remained calm, signaling that these guys meant no harm. Actually, if one were to look closely, they¡¯d see a few of the guards shiver!

    Although he knew what the position of a Patriarch and City Lord meant thanks to Lanruo¡¯s teachings, he thought that since they were the one who wanted to meet him, it would only natural that he¡¯d be allowed to be the one to pick the time and location.


    Hearing his words, the two groups of soldiers no longer blocked their way as Yu continued to head towards the mercenary guild. After Yu left, the surrounding citizens grew rampant in gossip!


    The Saint Stage expert actually dared to meet the Patriarch and City Hall at the same time for his convenience! He dares not to put them in his eyes! The surrounding thought.


    He left them be as he made his way to the mercenary guild. Although they attracted a few glances thanks to Yaya¡¯s adorable nature, nothing much happened.


    The two reached the Mercenary Guild, heading towards the youth from before.


    ¡°¡°Yo(~)¡±¡± Yu and Yaya greeted at the same time, causing the youth mouth¡¯s to twitch a few times.


    Their coordination improved¡­ The youth thought as he was not sure if he should be praising them or not.


    ¡°Here to take another mission?¡± The youth asked.


    ¡°Yeah, something that¡¯s in the Ancient Forest or at least close to it.¡± Yu replied nonchalantly.


    Little did he know, the missions that take place in the Ancient Forest are usually ranked C and above! Hearing him say that he wanted a mission to take a mission there with a young child was considered as suicide by many! But seeing who he was, they quieted down.


    ¡°Hmm, there¡¯s quite a few missions for the Ancient Forest.¡± The youth said as he gave Yu a few pieces of paper.


    ¡°Let¡¯s see then.¡± Yu looked through the list the youth gave.


    ¡°Elder Dragon Subjugation¡­ That¡¯s a bit too troublesome. Rogue Earth Spirit Subjugation¡­ I should deal with that together with Lanruo later.     ¡°Alright! Let¡¯s take this mission, this one please.¡± Yu said as he picked out the Divine Thunder God Ruins mission and handed it to the youth, even giving him a warm smile.


    The youth took the paper and went back to the room behind him, he then handed him a small jade box.


    ¡°This is used to contain the Thunder Qi that emanates from the gem, take care out there! I know your strong but you have your daughter with you! Actually, don¡¯t bring your daughter along with you!!!¡± The Youth exclaimed as he showed great worry towards Yu and Yaya.


    With the father and daughter duo feeling touched, Yu patted his shoulder while Yaya patted his head.


    ¡°You¡¯re a good kid.¡± Yu whispered as he pretended to wipe the tears off is his eyes.


    ¡°Un! A very good kid!¡± Yaya exclaimed as she really looked as if she was about to cry!


    Seeing this, the youth went quiet, his face that had the best smile that he could muster twitched a few times as a vein appeared on his forehead, slightly twitching as well!


    He wanted to kick these two out the guild right now! But remembering that this pair is not ordinary and leaned more towards the abnormal side, he left them be as he thought about how to vent his annoyance elsewhere.


    Storing the jade box into his pouch, the two left for the Tea shop near the city hall. Asking for directions still as he was unable to familiarize himself to Nantian City due to just how massive it is. Thankfully its citizens are used to people like Yu who often asks for directions.


    Reaching the shop, he saw two old men with heads full of hair sitting on the same table. One was rather fierce, his eyes were sharp like swords as he wore a simple but elegant black robe. The other was calm, serene like a lake, he wore a clean and eye catching set of white robes.


    Seeing the two, Yu assumed that they¡¯re the big shots who called him earlier before deciding to nickname the fierce looking one Fierce Oldman, and the calm one Calm Oldman.


    Walking towards the table as he sat Yaya on one of the chairs.


    As it turns out, the two didn¡¯t even realize that he was already there!


    His presence, I can¡¯t sense it at all! I can¡¯t even see through him! What kind of demon am I facing?! The two thought at the same time as they gave Yu a bewildered glance.


    They were shocked, unable to utter a word as they could only wait until Yu speaks.


    Sadly, Yu wanted to let them speak first! Causing them to awkwardly stare at one another for a good few minutes, not daring to be rude to one another. Eventually, a waiter went forward, legs violently shaking as he asked what they wanted to have.


    ¡°Hmm, I¡¯ll have a cup of 5 Petal Blooming Flower Tea, as for Yaya, do you have juice?¡± Yu asked.


    ¡°Juice!¡± Yaya exclaimed as her eyes sparkled.


    ¡°Yes, we serve juice.¡± The waiter nervously replied.


    Who is this youth! First he¡¯s unfazed by a fight between geniuses, now he¡¯s unfazed by the stares of two powerful patriarchs! The waiter thought in his heart.


    ¡°Orange then, Yaya are you okay with that?¡± Yu glanced at Yaya as he asked.


    ¡°Un!¡± Yaya happily nodded her head.


    Seeing this scene, the two Patriarchs loosened up. Thinking that Yu wouldn¡¯t be too unreasonable, after all, they¡¯re all fathers here. Be it sons or daughters, they all have families they all care about. With this, the two patriarchs gave a warm smile as they saw Yu and Yaya.


    ¡°Well, I¡¯ll have a cup of Jade Green Tea.¡± The Fierce Oldman spoke.


    ¡°Then I¡¯ll have a cup of White Silver Branch Tea.¡± The Calm Oldman said.


    The waiter immediately took down notes as his hands trembled with every stroke. Even his head had beads of sweat flowing down like a waterfall!


    The waiter eventually left, leaving them alone. Silence once more, a full two minutes of silence. It was so unbearable that Yaya eventually pouted her little mouth as she puffed her cheeks.


    Seeing this adorable act, the three men laughed happily.


    ¡°Ahem, I¡¯d like to thank sir for helping my son in both cultivation and attitude.¡± The Fierce Oldman spoke first.


    ¡°Mhm, I also have to thank you for doing the same to my son.¡± The Calm Oldman spoke as well, nodding his head in approval.


    ¡°It¡¯s nothing, truly! It was no hassle on my end so no need to thank me.¡± Yu said as he was a bit flustered, waving his right hand back and forth. Yaya who saw this action of his began to imitate as she waved both of her hands back in forth.


    Seeing this adorable child do such an act, the two oldmen can¡¯t help but give a small laugh.


    ¡°Even so, what you¡¯ve done for us fathers has been akin to a gift from heaven! We couldn¡¯t fix their arrogant attitude of theirs ever since they¡¯ve won a few competitions and eventually formed a rivalry against one another.¡± The Fierce Oldman said.


    ¡°Indeed, believe it or not, this old bastard and I are very good friends! Right?¡± The Fierce Oldman said as he gave a hearty laugh slapping the shoulder of the Calm Oldman, causing his face to smash the table, reducing it to dust. Unfortunately, the Calm Oldman didn¡¯t stop there as his upper body went straight through the floor as it became buried a few inches deep into the ground.


    After the Calm old man got slapped into the floor by the Fierce Oldman out of habit, he didn¡¯t rise up.


    ¡°¡­¡± Yu and Yaya were speechless for a while as a few beads of sweat started forming on their foreheads.


    Seeing this, the fierce old man embarrassedly laughed as he scratched the back of his head, saying: ¡°I think I used a little too much strength, haha!¡±


    ¡°¡±Calm Oldman!¡±¡± Yu and Yaya screamed in horror!

    Alright, from the time I wrote the previous chapter I got busy with enrolling to school, then I got dragged by my family to visit some place for a few days and my god was it hellishly painful for me. Then I sorta forgot about this novel by the time school started and am now currently suffering a very long school day that starts 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with commuting taking an hour or so. Dunno when I''ll get to write again so this is just a heads up
