《Re:Insanity》 Prologue:Test Subject 17 In a certain lab, there are two people walking while discussing the operation that their about to perform. One is the the lab professor that managed the whole project in making assassins with enhanced abilities that surpasses a normal human, while the other is the boss of the organization that the professor was working for. "So, how is the test subject that you recommended to me?"(Boss) "It''s great boss, though there are some slight problems about the test subject..."(Professor) After the Boss heard the word "problem", it made his expression disappointed causing the Professor to slightly panic. "Don''t worry boss! It''s only a minor problems regarding the test subject''s mentality."(Professor) "And what are those "minor problems?"(Boss) "Well.... while the test subject was undergoing the enhancement experimentation he developed a mentality problem that caused him to change his behavior and doing aggressive things. Just a while ago while we were about to do an experimentation, he stabbed one of the researchers eye with a pencil and attempted to escape but quickly was neutralized by the guards"(Professor) The Boss'' disappointed expression disappeared after hearing the Professor''s answer, after they walked for a minute, they finally reached their destination. Their destination was the room where Test Subject 17 was held. The Professor started to open the door by putting the password in the security system. After they opened the door, what laid upon their eyes was a man tied up with metal chains all over his body. The man had a messy white hair, red eyes, good physique and wearing only a white t-shirt and a black pants. After the man realized that there are people in the room, he started to grin and looked at the Professor''s direction, and started to speak. "Oh hey Prof! Are we going to start our "fun" operation today? You told me last time didn''t you?"(Man) "Yes, today is the day of the operation of you turning into our assassin"(Professor) "Hah! Me becoming your assassin? You think I''m going to let become your puppet and just go over with it?"(Man) The man closed his eyes for a second and then glared at the Professor while eerily grinning. He glared at the Professor filled with hatred. "I won''t easily let you do it, you know?"(Man) At that moment, the Professor felt a chill down his spine at the words that the man said. He gulped his own saliva and quickly left the room with his Boss. After they leave room they went to the lounge room to discuss about the man. The Boss grew interest about the man and asked a few questions to the Professor. "That man earlier... I think he''s perfect to be our assassin, the way he looked at you was like a real natural killer. Professor, I want to know more about Test Subject 17."(Boss) The Professor was stilled frightened from earlier but quickly maintained his composure to answer the Boss'' question. "Well actually we don''t really know much about his background information, so I can only tell you boss a few things."(Professor) The Boss nodded and ordered the Professor to continue. "When we scouted for individuals, we wanted someone that don''t have much connection in social, so that it won''t cause much problems. Then we peaked our interest in Jeff also know as Test Subject 17, at the time when he wasn''t still our test subject he was a shut in with no parents, friends or even acquaintance so we decided to scout him. When we checked his background data we didn''t really find much, after that we that we tricked him to join our organization. His mentality was excellent being able endure the experimentation without completely losing his mind though his behavior changed in the process, we still successfully completed the full enhancement project in him. Now his strength, agility and other abilities have dramatically surpassed of a normal human."(Professor) Satisfied by the Professor''s answer, the Boss stood up and talked. "Hmmm... I see, well then.... how about we start the operation now?"(Boss) The Professor also stood up and replied. "Yes boss, let''s go now."(Professor) As they were about to leave, suddenly the room was filled with red lights flickering on and off. An announcement was then given by next. "Warning, Warning. Test Subject 17 has escaped. I repeat Test Subject 17 has escaped."(Announcer) "What''s happening!? Professor give me an expla-... Uwaaah!!!!!(Boss) As the Boss was about to demand an explanation, suddenly the door flew onto him, causing him to crash into the wall and killing him in the process. The Professor looked into his boss who is now smashed flat into wall. The wall was filled with blood like a tomato that was thrown into the wall, the boss'' internal organs were scattered into wall due to the strong impact, the scene was so grotesque causing the Professor to almost throw up. "Here''s Jeffy!!!(Jeff) "Hiiiii..."(Professor) Before the Professor''s eye was Jeff grinning mischievously, the chains that was in Jeff''s body is now gone, sweats started to fall like a fountain in the Professor''s face, because right now he knows that what will happen next, he''s not gonna like it. "Prof... you know that I''ve waited a long time for this. Oh! I also want you to know!!!(Jeff) Jeff started to walked in front of the Professor, and then he brought his face to closer to the Professor''s and smiled. After that he whispered at the Professor''s ears. "YOUR GOING TO HAVE A BAD TIME."(Jeff) At the room where Jeff is, loud screams can be heard from there, screams filled agony and despair followed by the sound of something being stabbed. Scream, scream, scream. Stab, stab, stab. The continuous scream and stab echoes through the hallway. After an hour a team of 10 armored soldiers appeared in the hallway. They moved into the position in front of the door where noise came from. Then, there appeared a man showered in blood, smiling like it just finish doing something enjoyable. "Stay where you are or we will shoot!"(Soldier) "..."(Jeff) Jeff just stared at the soldiers who are all now locked their gaze onto to him, watching and preparing for what comes next. All of them are now aiming their guns loaded with anesthetic. Why anesthetic? Well, they know that even if they have real bullets it will only buy them a little time because of the monster in front of them. Jeff who have an enhanced body and also having the had an accelerated healing due to the experimentation. A few seconds has passed, Jeff suddenly putted his hands in the air. "All right, I surrender~~"(Jeff) After hearing the words, one of the soldiers began to walk holding a handcuffs. When the soldier was a meter close to Jeff.... Blood once again is about to be scatter "Just kidding~~."(Jeff) Jeff ran towards the soldier who went forward him and pierced the soldier''s eye with his index and middle finger. Jeff''s fingers pierced through the soldier''s helmet because of the abnormal strength that he possessed. "Now you see me, now you don''t!"(Jeff) "OPEN FIRE!!!"(Soldier) The soldier began to fire their guns directly at Jeff, however Jeff used the corpse of soldier to shield the barrage of bullets. Jeff used the wall to accelerate towards the soldiers while using the corpse as a shield. He crashed on two of the soldiers, causing them to die immediately due to the impact. Using one of the corpse he killed, he threw it towards the other soldiers. The ones by that were hit did not immediately die but only knocked them out. "Striiiike"(Jeff) Jeff chuckled as then again he began move towards the other soldiers, picking one of the guns that the that soldiers used, he then exchanged bullets to the remaining soldiers. Due to the armor of the soldiers were using the bullets that were shot to them just bounced and fell. "Hey~~, you cheaters.Oh well."(Jeff) Jeff realized that what he was doing was futile so immediately switched tactics. He threw the gun he was using towards one of the soldiers. The gun pierced through the one of the soldiers stomach, afterwards Jeff then again threw one the corpse at the soldiers. "4 to go."(Jeff) Only 4 soldiers were left. The remaining soldiers know that what they were doing was useless, they know that they can''t win against him. Jeff realized the fear that began to appear on the remaining soldiers'' face. Not wanting to waste his strength, he used the favorite "thing" he always loves to do, striking fear into the hearts of his enemies. Jeff glared to the remaining soldiers while maniacally laughing .The soldiers'' heart beat speed began to rise as they stare at the monster that was looking at them while laughing like he''s enjoying what he''s doing. As the monster slowly walked towards them, the only thing could was pray and close their eyes waiting to be killed. When they were about to be killed the lights suddenly went off, after a few seconds, there began a new announcement. Peace!!! >_< Chapter 001 : I Dont Want Any Cheats!! ----------Jeff''s POV I guess I''m already dead now. Well, at least I was able to kill that professor freak. Hehehe, The expressions that he made every time I stab him was horrific. Those things that he did to me, countless hours of torture, making me fall into pain and despair. But day by day I realized that I was getting used to it. And now I don''t feel pain any more. It''s not like I was immune to pain, I mean I can still feel pain, it''s just that, I was used to it. No, more like it''s just a regular sensation to me. That day when that Professor tricked me to go to that lab, I thought he was going to give me a job but it turns out that my job was to be guinea pig for their research. After he finished putting the body enhancement on me, he made me to do a test run on my abilities. That test run involved me in to fighting the other Test Subjects. The first fight that I''ve had was with a woman, unfortunately during the test runs the Test Subjects are not allowed to speak, they putted a choker equipment that seals our vocal chords. She looked at me like she''s begging for mercy, I didn''t want to fight her but those bastards said that if both of us didn''t fight they have no choice but to kill us. I wanted to be the one who die so that she can live, but the fear of death keeps pulling me from my actions. In the end I had to kill her, I gave her quick death so that she won''t feel any pain. After I was brought back again in my room. I grieve so much at my actions and angry to myself for how much of a coward I am. I''m such an idiot if I had just let that woman to kill me, I would not have any regrets. After all even if I die no one will cry for me. The only ones who would cry for me is already dead. As I was reminiscing at my past, a strong ray of light suddenly appeared. I reflexively covered my eyes, after that the light disappeared. I opened me eyes thinking that it was okay, after I opened my eyes what I saw was little girl that looked like around 12 years old wearing some kind of priestess like those you see fantasy games. Her face was cute that kinda made me want pinch her cheeks. Hehehe. "Hello, Jeff. My name is Iena, I''m so sorry for the painful experience that you had in that world. We would have helped you but our management isn''t really perfect so we didn''t got the chance to help."(Iena) So I really am dead, huh. "I see... Are you a goddess?"(Iena) Iena looked at like she was surprised at the words I''ve said. "Aaah... Unfortunately, no. I''m just the manager in the world that you''ve lived in. Well, I never did expected any good equipments after all. The swords they both carry looks rather dull. And their armor is so dirty. I wonder if they have a hideout somewhere here. "Oh, that''s a great idea. Boss Leroy would very happy."(Bandit 1) "Then it''s decided. Hey brat! Come with us if you want to live, come with us. Don''t you dare run away from us or you''ll meet your end."(Bandit 2) The bandit brought a rope from his pouch and tied my hands. While still acting, I obeyed his command. - The two bandits dragged me by putting a rope into my neck like a dog leash, one of them held the rope that connects to my neck while the other is behind guarding me. After a few minutes, we reached their base. Their base was a cave that have couple of tens outside. As we reached the tents I began counting the bandits and identifying their status and equipments at the same time. As we enter the cave I saw multiple doors besides the hallway. I guess their just the bandit''s bedroom or something, considering how each doors are just a couple of meters away from each other. As we further enter the cave, I also began counting and checking the bandits inside the cave. So far I spotted 12 bandits outside and 19 inside, including the two bandits who "captured" me. So far I found out that most of the bandits here are have 18 to 23 levels and their equipments are mostly leather armors and copper swords. The strongest bandits I''ve seen so far are these two who''s right now dragging me, both of them have are level 25 and their equipments are better than the rest of the bandits here. I guess, I can take care of this place. I can''t wait to do my first massacre in this world. I want to paint this place with blood. Hehehe. As I excitedly indulge in my imaginations, I noticed a man with a different atmosphere approaching towards the two bandits. The man looks had a tall and muscular body similar to a wrestler, he had a thick beard and a long hair that reaches to his neck. He''s wearing a silver plate armor and carrying a large battle axe with him. But what caught my attention is the knife that he''s wearing in his waist. Due to my curiosity I inspected the man and the equipment he had.

Ooooooooh, here''s a strong one. He has a good stats, although mine is higher but all of his equipment has great quality. Especially that knife. I want that knife, even though it has no enchantment it''s the perfect weapon for me. After all knives are my favorite weapons, but why do I have no Knife Mastery or something, maybe it''s because I didn''t get to use it all the time back in when I was doing the test runs. When the Test Subjects are picked in the test runs, we mostly fight without weapons, though they do give us weapons once in a while. Well I do plan doing an "event" tonight. "Well then, Boss we''ll be going now."(Roy) After that, I was brought to a basement. The basement has 6 cells, each cells contains many people. There are some children, adults and even old people. I felt pity on the people inside the cells. Don''t worry guys I''ll slaughter these bandits for y''all. In the basement where we are held only had three bandits guarding us. We waited till they fall asleep, but unfortunately they didn''t. So I told the three girls what''s going to be our positions in this operation. The one who will be the vanguards are me and Emlyn, since Yris and Elly are both magicians they will be supporting us vanguards as we fight, by casting magic to the enemies and healing only Emlyn. Why only Emly? Well, I told them that I don''t need to be healed, they were quite persistent on rejecting my order, but in the end I was able to persuade them. I have quite a lot of Hp and my Accelerated Regeneration skill will definitely make me survive. The prisoners that we will help will follow us from the back since none of them have have combat abilities. We didn''t needed any rear guards since the door to the basement was in the end of the corridor, we will only need to check each room that we pass so that no will attack us from the back. We haven''t told any of the prisoners about our plan so I hope they will cooperate. Each cell contains 4 people excluding the cell we are in there are 5 cells, which means we will have to defend 20 people. The three girls asked me on how we will be able to get out of our cell but I didn''t tell them since I want to surprised them, I only said that I''ll take care of it and they easily trusted me. I signaled the girls that I am ready, they nodded as a response. Now let''s put my acting into use. "Help! Somebody help me!"(Jeff) I shouted as hard as I can so that the three guards who are guarding the door out of the basement hear me, since our cell was on the edge of of the room. Only one of them approached towards our cell. I was hoping that three of them to come in here but I guess that''s impossible.The bandit who decided to check our cell stood in front of the cell door. Okay he got a nice position. "What''s are you yapping about huh?"(Bandit) "Ummm.. can you stay there for a second?"(Jeff) "What are you-..Ahhhh!!"(Bandit) I kicked the door as hard as I could to make the the door flying towards the wall, causing the bandit to get caught in it and get smashed to the wall. Somehow I remember the Boss of the dark organization. "Thank you! Now girls let''s g-.."(Jeff) I looked at girls to start the operation but, I think I made them too surprised. Elmyn and Elly''s eyes were widened and Yris looked like she was about to hurl. "What in the..."(Elmyn) "Jeff, just who are you?"(Elly) "Urghh... the bandit just got crushed..."(Yris) "Girls! No time to be surprised. Hurry up, didn''t we need to get out of here fast, let''s go!!!" I shouted at the girls to make them come to their senses. We needed to make all the prisoners out of their cells after all. The three girls were able to calm down and then we proceed our plan. "Now cover me as I free the prisoners."(Jeff) I went to the other cells to free the prisoners, Emlyn confronted the two bandits that ran towards us while Elly and Yris supported her. I quickly bended the iron cell bars in each cell with my bare hands to make a exit wide enough to be entered. The bandit swung his sword that formed an arc towards Elmyn, Elmyn dodged the attack by taking a step back, after she dodged the attack the other bandit jumped in front her and descended his sword, Elmyn wasn''t able to react the attack so Elly supported by forming a barrier with her magic to block the attack. As the two bandits were distracted in fighting Emlyn, Yris cast 2 fire balls towards the them. The bandits didn''t noticed Yris'' attack so they both got hit by the fire balls, they cried in agony as they try to extinguish the flames that surrounded them, but they couldn''t do it so they died in the end. After the girls were able to defeat the bandits, I was able to free the prisoners, luckily they cooperated with us. I didn''t noticed the door out of the basement suddenly opened. A single bandit appeared and looked towards the burned corpses of the bandit that the girls defeated and the other bandit who got pancaked at the door. He began to panicked and ran away. I wasn''t able to catch the bandit who run away because it would be bad if separated with the girls. -- ---------- A certain Bandit''s POV I noticed screaming from the basement so I decided to check what was happening when I opened the door, I noticed the two burned corpses that was lying on the ground and a body that got crushed the door. I saw all the prisoners were all out of their cells. The magic sealing choker on the General''s daughter is removed and also the two girls she was with had their chokers removed too. I panicked and ran away as fast I can. "I have to tell Boss about this!!!"(Bandit) I ran towards the hallway and finally reached the Boss'' room. I opened the door and saw Boss drinking alcohol along with Roy and Rex. "Boss!!! The prisoners has escaped!!!" "What?! How did they escaped?!"(Leroy) "I don''t know, they are maybe still at the basement."(Bandit) "All right. You call the everyone who''s in the cave and capture those prisoners. Roy and Rex, call everyone who is outside to come at guard the entrance, I''ll go with you guys. Do it now!!!"(Leroy) "Yes, Boss!!!"(Roy/Rex?Bandit) I followed Boss orders and began assembling everyone into their position. -- ---------- Jeff''s POV I told the prisoner the our plan and made decide if their going to agree or not. They all agree to it so we began our next plan, I took the one of the swords that the burned corpses carried, I gave the other one to Emlyn for her to use. We didn''t use the armor that the burned corpses'' wore because it was too damaged to be use, as for the pancaked guy''s armor it was also no good. So Yris casted a light magic on us, that was called, >Light Barrier<, it gives a temporary barrier to those who are cast at. Our preparation took quite long so I guess the bandit who ran away earlier have already reported it to his and had finished organizing the other bandits into their position. I told the girls to prepare their selves for the battle. This time I''ll refrain myself on using my full strength, after all if I kill all of them I will have no one to play with. If it goes worse I''ll use my full strength, and if it goes way worse i will have no choice but use the Power of Insanity skill. We went into our position and began our plan. I opened the door and we leaved the basement, as we go leaved the basement, we were greeted with a hail of arrows, thanks to the barrier that Yris cast on us none had any injury. Elmyn and I hurriedly ran towards the bandits while dodging the incoming arrows, Yris and Elly stayed in the back while supporting us with magic and guarding the prisoners at the same time. I got to say the bandits'' formation were quite good, it consisted of 6 bandits in front as the vanguard while 5 archers attacking from behind. Elmyn and I tried to attack the archers first but the 6 vanguard bandits didn''t let us, so we had no choice but to fight first the vanguards. I confronted the 3 vanguard bandits and Elmyn confronted the other vanguards, while Yris and Elly protected us from the archers with barriers, they couldn''t cast any offensive magics due to the archers that kept firing at us, so they had no choice but to focus on defending us. I dashed towards the 3 bandits, the three of them attacked at the same time so I had no choice but to dodge, I dodged their attacks by kneeling down, while kneeling down I grabbed the foot of one of the bandits and flung him towards the other bandit.The two bandits got knocked down and couldn''t fight any more, leaving only one more remaining. The remaining bandit mustered up his courage and dashed towards me, he thrust his sword towards me, I blocked it with my sword, and then I went towards his side and beheaded him. The head flew in the air while blood is scattering around. That was beautiful. I noticed Elmyn was having a hard time fighting the others, she had couple scratches in her body. I quickly ran towards her to help. As she was about to be hit by a bandit from behind I increased my speed and kicked the bandit towards the wall to stop him. I''m glad that I made it in time. I gazed at Emlyn, she clearly was tired from the fight, and her breathing has turned rough. "Are you okay? How about you rest for a while?"(Jeff) "Don''t worry, I can still fight."(Emlyn) She sure is tough one. I can''t help but smile in admiration to her. Confirming that Emlyn was still okay, I once again began attacking the remaining 2 vanguards. Due to the decrease of the bandits and the deficiency of arrows, Yris and Elly were finally able to cast offensive magic. Yris began chanting a spell, after she finished chanting fire that had the form of spears appeared her,while on the other hand Elly used wind magic and cast a sharp winds in a form of a crescent. Both of them signaled me and Emlyn to step aside so we followed their orders. "Flame Lance!"(Yris) "Wind Cutter!"(Elly) After we step aside they cast their magic towards them, all the bandits couldn''t dodge or escaped the barrage of magics due to the number of >Flame Lance< and >Wind Cutter< that was cast on. Being unable to dodge or escape, all of them died. What a shame, no one even survived. I hope I will be able to play with someone here. Before we procede forward, Yris used >Light Heal< on Emlyn to heal her wounds. Emlyn took an armor from the dead bandits and wore it, after that walked cautiously as we walk in the hallway Emilyn and I checked the doors we passed to see if there are bandits inside, luckily no one was inside so far. As we advanced, another group of bandits confronted us, this time it consists of 4 heavily armed bandits as the vanguards and 3 bandits wearing a robe on the rear. I guess the three of people on the back are mages. I told Emlyn to stay in my back this time since I have a bad feeling on the position they. Even though their numbers are fewer compared to the group of bandits we defeated earlier, I know that they are not something to be underestimated at. The two bandits wearing a robe used >Light Barrier< on each of the heavily armed bandits while the other one was chanting a offensive magic skill. I ordered Yris to block the incoming magic,and ordered Elly to protect the prisoners. While Emlyn still behind me, we both began to advance towards the heavily armed bandits, when we got closed to them, Emlyn tried attacking one of them but all of her attacks were repelled by the barrier, Yris tried to cast >Fire Ball< towards the heavily armed bandits to remove their barrier. Given the opportunity, Elmyn attacked the bandits while the barrier is gone, but her attacks didn''t even gave a damage to the bandits. Knowing that Elmyn wouldn''t be able to help right now. I told her to stay back and protect the Yris and Elly instead, she got angry at her self, being unable but to accept the situation, so she ran back towards Yris and Elly. Without hesitating I decided to use my full strength and I dashed towards the bandit in a blink of an eye, even though they had barriers on them and heavy armors, I jumped and kicked one of the bandits very hard, making the bandit into a > shape as he flew against one of the mages in the back who has been casting offensive magic skills. Due to my strength my attack was able to ignore the barrier and armor it was wearing. The remaining two mages in the back stopped giving the barriers and focused on attacking me. Both of them used >Fire Ball< at the same time towards me, I kicked one of the bandits'' feet in front of me making the bandit lost his balance, I grabbed him and used him as a shield to block the incoming >Fire Ball<. The two mages kept casting >Fire Ball< towards me, the remaining of the vanguards got caught up in the attacks of the mages and died. Are they even allies? Yris and Elly started cast their magic towards the the mages, so I stepped aside. Yris used >Fire Ball< ,while Elly used >Wind Swords<. The two mages noticed Yris and Elly''s attacked, so they hurriedly cast a barrier to themselves. But their mana didn''t last so after mana was gone, they got hit by the girls attack. Still they sure are strong. We haven''t fight the boss and yet we''re already having a hard time, I might have no choice but to use Power of Insanity in the end. But if I use it, I will look like a monster in front of them. I wonder if they will still trust me. "Ummm... Girls. If I show you guys my dark side... will all of you still trust me after that?"(Jeff) I hesitated at first but If I don''t tell them now, they will think that I betrayed them in the end. The three of them were confused, to my sudden question, Yris looked at me and smiled. "I don''t know what you''re talking about, but even if you have another personality, I still think that you are a good man. Knowing that this fight will be fierce than ever I ordered the prisoners to hide in one of the rooms. Yris and Elly went to their position, Emlyn and I did the same. "Hahaha, you four did a good job on getting this far. Leroy''s axe suddenly clad in fire, I guess that''s the fire aura enchantment that was on the axe. I decided to defeat Rex first to make things easier, I began increasing my speed and attacks a little, Rex had a hard time dodging my attacks, since he called me good looking last time, I gave him a quick and painless death by piercing my sword to his heart. There, i gave him my "reward". Leroy smiled at me, He dashed forward and descended his axe towards me. I dodged it and went to his left side where the knife that I want was put at. I snatched it with my left hand and stepped back to dodge the incoming attack of Leroy. I almost couldn''t dodge the attack but luckily I was able to, That axe'' fire sure is hot but it didn''t hurt me though. Finally holding the knife I wanted, I celebrated in my mind. Leroy got angry at me for stealing the knife. I smiled back at to insult him. "Hey, I''ll be taking this, okay?"(Jeff) "You son of a bitch, I''ll definitely kill you!!!"(Leroy) "Why not try doing it now?"(Jeff) i tried provoking Leroy but he quickly calmed his self down, I thought that he was going to attack me but instead he went towards Elmyn, i tried to stop him but the mages used >Root Bind< on me, my body was covered in roots I tried struggling free but it will take quite some time due to the number of >Root Binds< cast on me. In the Leroy was able to approach Emlyn. "Roy! Don''t kill her! Step aside!"(Leroy) "Yes, Boss!"(Roy) Leroy dashed towards Elmyn and used Heavy Cleave on the ground, causing a tremor. While I''m still struggling free, Leroy then ran towards Yris and Elmyn, the girls tried to stop Leroy from coming by casting their magics towards him, Leroy dodged some of the magics incoming to him, some of magic that he couldn''t dodge were blocked by the barrier that the mages in the back just cast. Leroy kicked Elly aside, making Elly fall unconscious. Leroy then grabbed Yris to his arm. Yris tried to break free but she couldn''t due to the difference in strength. Leroy looked at my direction and smiled at me. Taking a hostage... What dick move!! "Kid, I have been in many battles. When I looked at you in the eyes, I know that I couldn''t win against you. What I didn''t know is why did you act weak in the beginning."(Leroy) Leroy covered Yris mouth with a cloth so that she can''t chant any spell and then he pointed the edge of his axe to her neck. And then he ordered the mages to uncast the >Root Bind< on me. i couldn''t fight back because of Leroy making Yris his hostage. "I don''t want to waste any more of my men, so how about we make a deal?"(Leroy) Deal? No matter how you look at it, he''s just tricking me. For now, let''s go with the flow. "What do you want?"(Jeff) "Well since I''m a kind man I''ll free this girls and the other prisoners if you kill yourself."(Leroy) What''s with that bullshit? Roy avoided his gaze towards me and hurriedly ran towards Yris to make her his hostage, But because of the 2x status effect of the skill my agility rose dramatically I ran towards in a blink of an eye. I appeared in front of while smiling eerily and looking into his eyes. His expression began to change, now his face is filled with fear and despair, his breathing became rough. I cut both of his arms and then tossed him aside to the wall, looks like he''s just unconscious. After that I started to walk slowly towards the bandits in the back. They tried to run but the fear overwhelmed their body, making them unable to move. I didn''t kill them, I only tied them tightly with a rope to so that I can do my thing later. I also covered the mages mouth with a cloth so that they couldn''t chant any magic, I also tied the Leroy after that. I deactivated my skill and approached Yris. "Hey Yris! After that I went to Roy, unfortunately he died due to blood loss, so I had no choice but to tell the story to the others. I thought that telling the finger story was boring so this, so I used the internal organs'' story. I couldn''t finish the story because they die after halfway I was telling the story. I realized that it was already morning, I took some of the bandits loots, I took some change of clothes and some books. I didn''t took Leroy''s axe and armor because I didn''t want it. I left a note for Yris at the entrance the cave, after that I leave. I went further into the forest happily. I looked at beautiful sun and felt the breeze of the wind. "Today is a great day."(Jeff)

Chapter 006 : My Cave Base I walked towards deeply in to the forest without knowing where to go. For I thought of finding a water source like a river or stream. I walked for about 30 minutes until I was able to find a stream. I dropped the bag I carried that contained the items I took from the bandits and took off my dirty, bloody clothes and putted them beside the bag. I went to the stream and washed my body that was covered in dried blood. After i finished washing my self, I took one of the clothes that I got from the bandits and wore them. "Hmmm... What should I do now? For now let''s look for a shelter."(Jeff) Having decided my decision, I looked around at my surroundings and found a cave across the stream. I guess that cave will do. I wonder what''s inside, I hope there are bandits in there so I could "play" again. I stood up, took my bloody clothes and my bag and went towards the cave. As I went to the cave, I noticed a figure coming out of from inside the cave. The figures had a very short body, pointy ears, sharp fangs, green skin, carrying a wooden club and wearing only a piece of cloth on their lower body. Judging from their appearance I guess they are Goblins. This is the first time I see a monster. I guess they really exist here ,huh. Well, it would be boring if they didn''t. Goblins are mostly considered as a weak monsters so they wouldn''t be a challenge for me, but let''s check their status just in case.

They really are weak. I can easily kill them by flicking my fingers on them. Well, let''s take their cave now. I closed the description box and began walking towards the cave. The goblin was startled at my sudden appearance, it ran back inside the cave out of fear. Hmmm? I thought that it will just attack me head on but it looks like they''re quite intelligent. The goblin knew that it couldn''t defeat me just by itself and went back, for some reinforcement, I guess. But that doesn''t change the fact that they will they by hands. I took my knife out of the bag and began walking inside the cave. As I walk deeper, I noticed multiple goblins blocking the way, there were 20 of them inside. I wonder if they can damage me. One way to find out. Wanting to do an experiment, I threw my bags and clothes aside and stood up without moving an inch. The goblins began running towards me, some attacked me with the club they carried and some threw rocks at me. I wonder if they have a chief or king in this cave. I looked around as they continue attacking me, but I didn''t any different looking goblin, they were all have same looks. I wonder if they have a chief or king in this cave. The experiment is now than, let''s now kill all of them. I started moving and killed all of the goblins one by one. After I finished killing them, I gathered the bodies outside the cave. Not wanting the corpse of the goblins to stench outside the cave, I began digging a hole about 5 meters deep with a shovel that one of the goblins carried. I carried the corpse and threw them in the hole, after I finished throwing all the corpses, I covered the hole. After finishing disposing the corpses I wen back inside the cave. The cave had 2 rooms at end of it. The room from the left was the goblins'' storage room, the room didn''t have much useful things in it, some dirty ragged clothes, wooden clubs, some unusable armor and weapons, some coins that was made of copper and silver,and a stone that had red color . The room from the right had multiple pelts lying on the floor, I suppose this is the goblin''s sleeping chamber. I arranged the items in the storage room from the usable ones and useless ones, I putted armors and weapons that were were unusable outside to be disposed later. I kept the ragged clothes and wooden clubs, I''ll use them as a firewood. As for the coins I kept them in the storage room, someday I will use them. The world that where I am now was named after the goddess that made this world, Reia. The world consisted of 4 kingdoms. The Kingdom of The Humans, Breldeth. The Kingdom of the Beastmans, Tylort. The Kingdom of the Elves, Ylindar. And lastly, The Kingdom of the Demons, Dakrinus. The Humans, Beastmans and Elves are currently on a peaceful terms. The Demons were said to be very evil that they want to rule the whole land, and thus the other kingdoms tries to prevent it. The 3 kingdoms united once on defeating the Demons, but the Kingdom of the Demons was not captured, they were only able to repel the demon army and the Demon King due to the enormous strength that the demons have. It is said that a human will be given the power of a Hero once in every generation, if the Hero is unable to succeed on subjugating the Demon King, the next generation will be born. It''s also the same for the Demons, they will also have a Demon King in every generation. This cycle repeated over in over, the Demon King being subjugated and the Hero being defeated. But none were able to conquer the continent of their enemies. I guess this is typical for a fantasy world huh. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. Next the race that is living in this world. The Humans, they had normal physical strength but had a great intelligence, they also had Heroes with them. They are currently have a high a position due to their intelligence and creativity in products. The Beastmens, it is said that a beastmens'' physiques are the highest among the other races, they are said to be the best in close combat. The Elves, they are regarded for having the best affinity in elemental magics and their skills with the bow. The Demons, they are known for their enormous power, the demons are said to have great affinity in dark magics and forbidden magics. I tried to look for a map in the books but, only a map that showed the 4 continents was in there. Too bad, I wanted to know where I''m currently at. I noticed that the inside of the cave was turning dark. When I looked outside, The sun was already gone. Hey there guys J.Nashiro here, I''m sorry if I haven''t been able to add a chapter lately. I have been very busy. I guess I will only be able to update once in a while. But I will try my best to keep this going, nothing really ever happened in this chapter but, look forward for the next chapter. Peace! Chapter 007 : Found A New Fun Time! It''s been 10 days since I found the cave. I didn''t have any problems so far in my daily life. Yesterday, I discovered that if you do some certain actions it raises your status. Like, if you do push ups you can raise your Strength or if you read some books you can raise you Intelligence. So I decided to do some exercise in the morning to raise my stats. I put some 30 of my points in Agility, because I thought that speed is essential for me. "Let''s hunt now."(Jeff) I decided to hunt after I finished my exercise, this has been what I doing for the past 10 days, hunting and exploring the forest and recently I decided to do some exercise in the morning after I finished hunting I go back to the cave to eat, after that I sleep when night has come. - It''s raining today. I decided to stay at the cave and wait for the rain to stop. For the mean time I decided to make a mask to ease my boredom. I used a piece of wood that I took yesterday. I carved the wood into a simple mask that only have two holes for the eyes and a bent line.The mask looks like a smiley face, it''s simple but I like it. "All right, it''s done. This sure is quite well made, though it''s only has a simple design."(Jeff) Well this might become useful in the future. Imagine having a rumors spreading around like " a masked man lurking in the forest" or something. The rain didn''t stop till night so I decided to sleep - "I don''t have anymore food left, I used all of it yesterday afterall."(Jeff) Since I didn''t have anymore food stock in my base, I decided to hunt. "Haaaaah... I thought that if I live here in the forest something good would happen to me but, lately all I''ve been doing is hunting. The monsters here aren''t even strong. I hope something exciting would happen later."(Jeff) While grimacing in my thoughts I found a 3 horned rabbits together. These monsters weren''t really strong the attack that they can only do is by hopping towards you and piercing you with it''s horn. Their movements are predictible and their meat are actually delicious. The problem is, they''re so cute that it''s makes hard for me to kill them. What!? I have a soft heart for cute things so don''t complain! "Oooops.. better be quiet."(Jeff) I hide behind a tree while waiting for a timing to attack the three rabbits, but they suddenly run away due to the noise that they heard. "Everyone! Stay in you positions"(Adventurer) When I looked at where the noise came from, I saw 5 people surrounded by 10 bandits. They were wielding swords, bows and the one wearing a robe had a cane. I guess they''re a group of adventurers. They were in position, trying not do any reckless actions. Hmmm.. They will obviously lose if they fought, I used >Identify< on each of the adventurers and the bandits. The adventurers'' each stats are clearly higher than the bandits but since the bandits'' numbers are than them so they would obviously lose. "I wonder if I should help? I''m not a very cold person to just leave them, but I wonder if I could trust them?"(Jeff) While thinking on what I decided to to do I remember the mask that I brought. "Oooh, maybe something will happen if a rumor spread around the city. I guess it''s time for the masked man''s debut!"(Jeff) I wore my mask and wielded my knife then walk towards them "Hello there, cornered group of people! I began to dash forward towards the bandits before they could do anything and began cutting their feet. I dodged their attacks while cutting feets. Aaah... their expressing everytime their scream is the best. All the bandits that had their feet cutted began to crawl away so I decided to cut their arms. "Okay then, that''s 21 seconds. I''m a second late but that''s fine."(Jeff) Now... what kind of torture should i do? Cutting their fingers? Opening up their belly? Or maybe breaking their bones? "Well, let''s do them all!"(Jeff) I began torturing all the bandits one by one. Their despaired expressions are giving me the thrill. More, more I need to see it more. After one of them dies, I move on to next one,after that I go the next,then to next and then to the next. This sure is fun, I can''t help but smile. Many screams could be heard from the forest and and blood scattered around. After finishing the last one I remembered the adventurers. Oh crap, I got too focused on my fun. When I looked for them I saw them looking at me with fear on their eyes, when I looked at their direction one of them began to spoke. "Please don''t kill us! Have mercy on us!"(Adventurer) Haaaah.. Looks like their scared of me now. If they are scared of me shouldn''t they have run away while I was busy torturing the bandits, I guess they were very scared to even moved. What should I do? Should I act nicely to them? Well since this is a good oppurtunity to have fun let''s continue our acting. I walked towards them and stand in front of them. "Hmmm... I can''t sense any evilness in each of you. You all passed my judgement, you may leave now."(Jeff) First I acted like a clown now I''m acting like a god in front of them, seriously I think my acting is quite messed up. But when I said that I think I feel cool. I wonder if I can keep doing this, there aren''t many bandits here, let''s ask them for now. "Before you leave, I have something to ask."(Jeff) When I began to speak again the adventurers'' body suddenly shivered in fear. They sure are scared of me. "Ye-yes?"(Adventurer) "Are there more bandits in this forest?"(Jeff) "Yes, the guild told us that there currently are many bandits'' base in this forest."(Adventurer) Ooooh, looks like I won''t be bored here anymore. "I see, you may leave now."(Jeff) After I said that, I ran deep into the forest. Due to my excitement I began scouting the the forest instead of hunting for food, hoping that I would find a bandit''s base. After a few minutes I found one. "Finally, a fun time appears."(Jeff) Jeff didn''t know that after the adventurers went to the city , rumors began to spread around the city about a masked man slaughtering humans who have sinned. Chapter 008 : Hello! My name is Smiley! 3rd person POV In a city near the forest where Jeff is currently at now, a rumor has began to spread about him. Zelfort city, the most biggest city in the Human''s Continent. The city is well known for being near of many dungeons, and thus many people who wants to be strong comes to this city. It''s also well known for having many strong adventurers. It''s also been a tradition that the city will be the place where the hero''s party will be trained. "I''m telling you it''s true! That guy just slaughtered the bandit''s right before our eyes!"(Adventurer) Meanwhile in the city''s Guild, The guild master is currently talking with the adventurers who Jeff saved. After the adventurers returned back to the city, they hurriedly reported about what happened to them. "All right, you don''t have to shout. I''m just checking if you guys are talking the truth."(Guild Master) The guild master didn''t believe the adventurers at first, but after seeing their expressions filled with fear, he began to trust them. "So then, what did the person who killed the bandits looked like?(Guild Master) "He had a white hair and I think he have a height of 170 cm. After walking for several minutes, they finally reached the place where masked man appeared. The whole place was covered in blood, mutilated bodies scattered around and the foul stench of decaying corpses. I even found some hideouts that were abandoned, I guess it they really got scared of me.... hehehe. Also my beloved knife has became dull. So it''s unusable now. Right now I''m using a iron knife which I got from the bandits that I killed. My knowledge of this world has expanded, Now I''m confident to travel with ease now. Sis taught me and it became my hobby ever since. I got the Shadow Magic from meditating. In this world, you get your magic from meditating, if you got a talent for magic you get to have one or more, it seems that the type of magic you get, depends on how your affinity is to it. I meditated for only 15 minutes until I got the Shadow Magic. According to the books that I''ve read, there 8 types magic in this world. It consists of Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, Shadow, Spirit and Forbidden. Oh yeah, it seems that Spirit Magic can only be learned by the Elves. If you successfully got a magic, you need to get a magic tome to have a magic skill. I didn''t get to have any magic tome by from the bandits. That means that my Shadow Magic skill is useless right now. My Stats has increased quite a bit, due to my morning exercises. It''s kinda takes time to increase though, because of my stats being quite high, increasing my stats takes quite some time.

Before the prisoners began to make a ruckus I signed to be silent. "Hey there, so here''s the deal if you want to get outta here just run away as fast as you could, okay?"(Jeff) Since I didn''t have time to confirm their answers I immediately run outside and began running towards the soldiers and greeted them. I didn''t know how Spell Books were made but I didn''t asked about it since it didn''t really interest me at all. The shopkeeper said that you can learn the magic bestowed on the book by simply opening it in front of you. You''ll learn how to use them but it''s up to you whether you can use them properly. I opened the 2 books. A light appeared in the page of the books as information flows into my head. After that the books disappeared. "So it really disappears, huh."(Jeff) Actually you can learn magic even you don''t use Spell Books. It will take quite a lot time, but you can. Which means you can make your own magic spell on your own. I tried making a magic spell but it didn''t really work, my Magic Affinity only helps me able to use magic well, which means it''s only something like a bridge. Making your own magic spell has quite a lot of complexity. You''ll need a clear imagination in your mind or else it won''t work. Well there are only few people known to have make their own magic spells.

I can''t wait to try all these. - I began to walk inside the dungeon, I haven''t fight any enemies yet since the adventurers are the ones fighting them. Thus I decided to enter deeply into the cave to find my own monster to kill. Before I entered the dungeon, there was an information board at the entrance of the dungeon. The information board contains the reports of the adventurers the ventured inside the cave. There were all sorts of information, like the information about the monsters inside, the dungeon''s structure, but what caught my interest there was that the latest information. Some adventurers have finally entered the second floor, they said that the second floor didn''t look like a cave anymore, it was made of stone blocks and had many passages, thus making it an labyrinth. Since I don''t have anything to do, I decided to go there. As I walk deeply inside the first floor, I finally found my own prey, though they''re only goblins. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. "Haaah... goblins again. Well, the information board said that there are only goblins, bats and skeletons in the first floor so I shouldn''t complain."(Jeff) I decided to test my magic spells on the goblins. 10 goblins, perfect for practice. Magic spells doesn''t need any incantation, you just need a firm image in your mind and say the name of the spell. I faced my palm in to one of the goblins and began to cast spell. ">Shadow Ball<."(Jeff) A ball of darkness in my palm, I concentrated the release of my spell and threw the ball into the goblin. "Gruaaaghh"(Goblin) The ball succeeded in hitting the goblin. It died after it was hit so I didn''t get to see the movement debuff of the spell. ">Shadow Step<."(Jeff) I teleported in to the goblins instantly. ">Shadow Mist<"(Jeff) A smoke exploded into the goblins and began to spread around. They began to panic as they cautiously guard themselves, some even mistook their comrades as an enemy. "They really can''t see me, huh."(Jeff) I unsheathed my dagger and began to kill the goblins while casting some of my spells.

It''s still a Beginner. Well I know that it will, I just wanna check it. I began killing all the goblins that I could found while casting some magics. I was able to fight some skeletons but they were very weak to me. Their only slightly stronger than goblins. According to the information board the entrance to the second floor was guarded by a boss class, Warrior Goblin. After walking and killing for an hour I was finally able to meet the boss. There standing on front of a door was a 2 meter tall goblin wearing a plate mail and a greatsword on it''s back. It had an intimidating face and it''s arms was full of scars.

The Warrior Goblin approached to me slowly as I lie on the ground. He swung his sword upward while looking at me with full hatred. I can understand, those eyes are definitely telling me, "Die!". Finally he swung his sword to my throat. I could feel the blood going to my lungs, blood started to flow into my mouth and nose. But it didn''t hurt at all, though it gave me an unpleasant feeling. "Gruuuuagh!"(Warrior Goblin) "Oh, I didn''t get to stab it deeper."(Jeff) I struck my dagger to his head. The Goblin Warrior screamed in pain, he grabbed both of my legs with his hands. Wow... They all got Acting skills were they performers before? All they''re equipments seems to be suitable for their levels. Both Ricardo and Chert were wearing leather armors, Ricardo wielded a longsword, while Chert had a shortsword. Due to Cara being a mage, she wore a robe that was enchanted with magic. She didn''t have a staff or anything. Due to my curiosity I asked Cara. "Cara, do you not have any weapons that amplifies your magic?"(Jeff) "Well~, about that... you see magic weapons mostly cost a lot so I can''t really afford it. But mostly C rank Mages has a magic item or two. Like my robe for example, it lowers the mana cost that my spell does."(Cara) "I see."(Jeff) "How about you Jeff? You''re equipment surely looks high quality. A C rank would definitely not be able to afford that kind of equipment. C ranks'' income are mostly around 1 gold and above. He confronted me, and began to cast magics. The Lich used Stone Bullet on me but I dodged by using Shadow Step while also closing our distance, I swung my daggers sideways but the Lich also used Shadow Step. I began to charge towards the Lich again. The Lich used Root Bind on me, plant roots started to spread on my feet making me stopped moving, when I looked at the Lich I saw two Shadow Balls going towards, before I could react I got hit by it. Thanks to my strength I removed the plant roots on my feet. I began to attack again. The Lich used Root Bind again but I predicted it, I jumped to dodge it. I took a stance like one of the marathon runners and charged towards the Lich. Before I could reach the Lich, he used Shadow Step to avoid me. I also used Shadow Step to, now his Shadow Step is on cool down. I used Shadow Ball on him, and striked his skull with my dagger. He casted a spell that spawned spikes on the ground, I''m guessing he used earth magic. I avoid the spell by stepping back. I checked the Lich''s HP.

I shaved 1/3 of it''s HP. Ricardo and the others seems to be finished too. The Lich didn''t gave up, he summoned another horde of skeletons, some are equipped with bows. This sure is troublesome. I dashed towards the horde and used Shadow Step to get to the middle of the horde, I casted Shadow Mist. The skeletons started to get confused. I used Stealth to hide my presence. I charged towards the Lich without him knowing. I used Assassinate in the Lich from behind. The Lich collapsed but it was still alive.

After searching for minutes I was able to find the section about magic. I decided to read the book "Introduction to Magic", it was the book that I could find that is updated. I took the book and silently read at the desk. After Albert Webster was able to teach the people the New Generation Magic, magic became more used and technology even rose drastically. Thanks to it, the strength of humans even became more powerful, it''s also the same for the other races. There are many attributes of magic, it wasn''t only 8 types like the old books has said before. The most common used ones are the Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light and Shadow, though Light and Shadow are considered quite rare. Then there are attributes that only specific races can use like the Spirit Magic that only elves can use, there are also some cases where there are some who are able to use the magic even though they don''t have the required race. There are also magics that considered to be forbidden, if you are found to have used it, you will be punished, it will be fine as long as you don''t use them. So this is my first task I thought that it would be different. I mean I will kill him anyway even if I didn''t receive the task. Well, looks like I''ll get more benefits in killing Augusto. The problem is I haven''t made any accurate plan yet. Since I was able to woke up early I decided to exercise my body. I also went outside to jog around the city and looked for the place that teaches horsemanship. I was able to found one and remembered the location so I can get there later. I took my meal immediately and went straight to the the horse selling place. They actually just don''t sell horses but also different creatures like the wolves and even an Earth Dragon which are also mountable. For teaching >Riding< it costs 5 silvers per 3 hours. >Riding< is the skill that let''s you mount and control animals as a use of transportation, if you raise the skill you''ll be able to ride different kinds of creatures. The most basic way to get the skill was by riding horses. This skill is not just limited to land creatures but also flying types like Wyverns. Riding doesn''t let you control the minds of the animals you can only use it for controlling their movements, so the creature you''ll be riding must be trained. You''ll need to have Job Class Beast Tamer and use the >Taming< to make the creatures you have to fight for you. I entered the shop and saw the different variety of magic beasts, I wanna try riding an Earth Dragon but to ride it you need to have ">Riding VII<". That''s why I''ll give up for now. Since I have read horsemanship back then I was able to understand. I failed a couple times along the way but Jer assisted me and throughly teached me. Thanks to him I was able to learn >Riding I< after 4 hours. Since I had remaining to 2 hours, I rode around the field trying to grasp the feeling of what I learned. I was able to learn it quickly thanks to Jer, he''s a good teacher. After 2 hours has passed I jumped off the horse and thanked Jer.
