 Moving Forward

    Tarah woke up to the sound of heavy feet just outside of her house. Quickly jumping to her feet, she peered out her window to see FBI agents preparing to break-down her door. Tarah grabbed her backpack and with fear fueled speed, she packed some clothes. She made it out of the back door just in time, as crashes and shouts came from behind her. She ran until she reached the wood. She then used her elemental power of earth, one she had since she was a baby, to ask the trees what was going on. They said that the Government was searching her house and that she better get as far away from here as possible. She seized her opportunityand headed anywhere but back.She had only been walking for a few hours before she decided to stop, perhaps it was to early to stop but she was both mentally and physically exhausted.


    She woke up that next day but something was wrong. The air was heavy and the wind was strong. She could hear trees crying out in pain as their branches fell to the ground. Tarah looked around but saw nothing. She looked up toward the sky and sawwhat looked like a figure getting closer to her. Not knowing what to do she shot a vine at the figure, but as soon as it got nearit the vine was sliced to pieces. Tarah soon was surrounded with a circle of air just barely making a tornado.


    "What is an elemental like you doing out here," said the voice harshly. Tarah can''t see the figure but could tell by the voice that it was aman.


    " I''dask the same thing to you," Tarah said back to him.


    " Answer my question first then I will answer your''s," said the man tightening the air circle around her.


    "I am fleeing from the Government," said Tarah. The man paused then said,


    " It appears we are running from the same thing. What is your name?"


    " Tarah," she replied, " And your''s?" Releasing the circle of air the man said,


    " Liam."


    " I am sorry for attacking you," said Tarah breaking the silence.


    " I understand. I wou-," But before he could finish Tarah cut him off saying,


    " Sh. The trees are telling me something." Tarah listened to them, then with a concerned face she bent down and put her hand on the ground. Almost right away she jumped up and shouted,


    "Their coming!"


    Liam and Tarah took off running. Liam used the wind to help them go a little faster than normal, but it also helped the Government too. They were gaining on them. Tarah was getting tired and knew she needed to come up with a plan so she could rest. Liam wanted to keep running but knew that Tarah couldn''t run much longer.


    " Do you have a plan?" he yelled back to Tarah, who had fallen behind


    " Yes," she shouted, "Follow me." Liam saw her go deeper into the woods and he followed. When he reached her, he saw her standing in front of a giant tree. She put her hand on it a whispered something he couldn''tquitehear or understand. The tree opened. Tarah quickly grabbed Liam and threw him inside the tree. The tree shut behind him leaving him in complete darkness. Tarah climbed up the tree and quickly grew branches around her to keep her hidden. She watchedas the shouts came closer and closer to where they were. Tarah slowed down her breathing so they couldn''t hear her. Thearmed groupcircled around the tree several times.


    " Lets keep moving," rang out a voice almost making Tarah jump. Then theyleft. Tarah waited a few minutesbefore climbing down the tree then opening it upso Liam could get out.

    " How do you not trust me?" Tarah asked loudly.


    " You threw me inside a tree and tried to choke me with a vine," Liam said trying not to yell.


    " Well for one I could of left you in that tree but I didn''t, two I said I was sorry, and three you enclosed me in a air tight circle. At least mine didn''t make it to you," Tarah replied angrily


    " Well you should of left me in that tree," replied Liam.


    " That can be arranged," snapped Tarah. Liam felt the ground from underhim move. He looked back and saw the tree from which he had just came out of was open again and he was headed right towards it.


    " Okay, I take that back," said Liam calmly.The ground stopped moving and the tree shut.


    " Well then lets get going," Tarah said as she began to walk.


    They had been walking for a day and barely talked. Tarah turned to Liam and asked,


    " Would you like something to eat?"


    " Sure. I am a bit hungry," said Liam. Tarah whispered to a tree near her. Shortly afterwards the tree handed her two apples and two pears.


    " Here," said Tarah handing Liam a pear and apple. There was a few minutes of silence until Liam asked,


    " Do you have any family?" Tarah was silent. A tear fell down her cheek.


    " I did have family. They died when I was young. I was an only child. The Government came that night. My parents hid me. I waited for hours. They never came back for me. I searched the house looking for them. I never found them. I went outside and found them lying on the ground lifeless. I buried them and next thing I knew they were being covered with flower. That is how I figured out I was an elemental with the earth element. The earth raise me. The trees taught me to write and speak. The ground taught me to run. They are my family. But enough about me, doyou have a family?" Liam took a deep breath then said,


    " Just like you I had a family until the Government murdered them. I was about five years old. They came to my house as well. My father told me to go and hide and that had would come find. To me then it was hide and seek. So I hid in the kitchen cabinet, like the ones on the floor. I couldsee them though the crack but they couldn''t see me. I watched the Government storm into the house. My parents tried to fight them off but they were shot. I knew then that my parents weren''t going to find me. They took my parents body then left. I didn''t sleep at all that night. The next day one ofour neighbors stopped by. She saw me and asked where my parents were. I told her that they were gone and they were never coming back. She took me to her house and raised me until I was about eight. Then I discovered my elemental power of air. She apparently didn''t want to take a risk of having me around anymore, so she kicked me out. I had to live on my own. But the sky welcomed me. So I went to it. They were like a family to me just like earth was to you. I have been runningfor awhilejust hoping to see another day." Silence fell over them. Tarah was speechless. Liam was too. They finished eating their apple and pear and began walking again. It was time to move forward not back.

 Keep Our Heads Up

    Liam and Tarah had been walking for two days now. Theair was heavywith heatand it seemed to be getting warmer as they kept walking. And it wasn''t normal heat change.


    "Is it getting warmer?" Liam asked.


    "Yeah, I am going to need some water here soon," Tarah said as her breathing started to get heavy.


    "Hopefully we will be out of here soon," Liam said noticing how weak Tarah was. They only walked for a few more minutes before Tarah collapsed.


    "Tarah!" Liam said as he bent down on the ground beside her. Liam began to look around for water. He knew she needed water, butthey''d run out almost a mile back.He didn''t want to leave her in fear that the Government would find her before he came back, but she needed water. So he decided to leave and go look for some.


    While Liam was gone Tarah woke up to a man looking at her.


    "Are you okay? I saw you needed water so I thought I would help you out," said the man extending his hand to help her up.


    " Thank you," said Tarah taking his hand and standing up.


    "My name is Wayne by the way. You are?"


    "Tarah," she replied.


    "Are you here alone?" Wayne asked.


    "No,Liam should be around here somewhere," said Tarah looking around.


    " Oh, I think I saw him walking that way," Wayne said pointing behind them, "but it''s really hot over there so I stay away."


    " Well we should probably go get him," said Tarah.


    "Well I am not sure about that," Wayne said in an unsure tone.


    "Please, who knows he could be in trouble or the Government could have him," said Tarah.


    "Hm. I guess, but what element is he?" Wayne asked.


    "He is air," said Tarah.


    Liam had been walking for awhile but he still couldn''t find water, but it sure was getting hot.


    "If your looking for something to drink you won''t it here," said a voice coming from behind him. Liam turned around and saw a woman sitting on a rock.


    "I''ve dried it all up," said the woman.


    "How did you know I was looking for water?" Liam asked.


    "It was a lucky guess," She said with asmalllaugh. Liam smiled.


    " Well I am going to continue to look for it anyway. It was nice meeting you," He said politely, turning and walking away.


    "Hey, I can just come with you."


    "I am sorry, but you can''t come. What''s your name anyway?" said Liam.


    "My name is Mercy and why not," She said clearly irritated.


    "Because you will evaporate all the water and right now I have someone who needs water not fire." Liam snapped.


    "Fine then I guess you won''t be making it to water," Mercy said as she shot a fireball at him.

    "Yeah thanks to Wayne," Tarah said smiling.


    "Who is Wayne?" Liam asked.


    " Oh just that guy over there who tackled that woman," Tarah said with a chuckle. Liam looked over, saw Mercy and Wayne fighting, then said,


    "Stop! Don''t hurt her it''s my fault she set me on fire. I was being a stupid and made her mad." Wayne let her up. Mercy got up but was glaring at Wayne.


    "Well Tarah this is Mercy," said Liam, "Mercy this is Tarah."


    "And this Wayne," said Tarah, "Wayne this is Liam." Silence fell over everyone.


    "So are we all running from the Government?" Mercy asked breaking the silence.


    "I think so," said Tarah.


    "Well we should probably get moving. We are standing out in the open," said Mercy.


    "I agree," said Liam. So they started off walking. Tarah stuck close to Wayne just in case she needed water again. Liam and Mercy walked by themselves.


    They had made it to a higher place when Mercy said she needed to rest. So they found a somewhat hidden place to rest. Mercy sat down on the ground. Her feet were aching.


    "Can we sleep here? My feet hurt to much to walk anymore," Mercy asked.


    "I guess we can," said Liam, "I will take the first watch."


    It was about 2 o''clock in the morning. It was Mercy''s turn to watch. Everything seemed to be going fine until she heard what sounded like voices close to where they were at. She peered out and saw an armed groupof dark dressed men. When she went back to tell the others what she had seen, they were gone. Trying not to panic she started looking for them. She tried to stay out of sight so she wouldn''t get caught, but they had seen her. Mercy took off running, but she wasn''t fast enough. They tackled her to the ground then knocked her out.


    Wayne woke up to see theywereall in neighboring cells.


    "Liam, Tarah, and Mercy are you guys okay?" Wayne asked. Liam turned to Wayne,


    "Yeah, but Mercy hasn''t woken up yet."


    "Hm," said Wayne, " Tarah what about you?"


    "I am okay. I have been better," Tarah replied. Tarah paused then whispered over to Mercy''s cell,


    "Mercy are you awake?" Mercy moaned then sat up,


    "Yeah I guess. My head just really hurts."


    "Well we really need to find a way out of here," said Liam.


    "None of our abilities will work. They made the cells so we can''t get out. On top of that in about 4 hours we are going to be killed," said Tarah trying not to panic.


    "We just got to keep our heads up I am sure something will come up, it has too," said Mercy.

 Chapter 3: Getting Away

    What felt like days but only hours had passed and yet no one had come for them. They were feeling hopeless. At anytime now they would be taken away and killed. Mercy was thinking of what all she could have done in her life. Liam was just sitting and thinking about nothing. Tarah was regretting ever making this journey. Wayne on the other hand looked as if he was worried, but something about him said he wasn''t.


    A few seconds later voices came echoing closer. Tarah began to shake. Two people showed up. One was carrying keys. He started to unlock Mercy''s ceil when a man came running down and said,


    "Quick there is an emergency upstairs. You are needed at once. I will take care of them." The two men left. Then the man turned to Wayne and said,


    " Hey Wayne. Sorry it took me a little bit to get here."


    "It''s fine," said Wayne.


    "We just have one problem," said Liam,"He didn''t get the keys to get us out of here."


    "No need," the man replied,"I will melt them." Liam gave a slightly confused look.


    " His elemental power is metal," said Wayne.


    "Oh," said Liam.


    "I am Randolph," said the man.


    "Nice to meet you," said Tarah, Mercy, and Liam.


    "And what might your names be?" asked Randolph.


    "I am Tarah,"said Tarah.


    "I am Mercy," said Mercy.


    "And I am Liam," said Liam.


    "It''s nice to meet you as well, but we need to get all of you out of here," Randolph said. He put his hands on Wayne''s ceil bars and melted them to were he could open them. Wayne stepped out. Randolph went to the other ceils doing the same thing. When everyone was out Mercy asked,


    "So how are we going to get out of here?"


    "That is a good question that I really don''t have the answer to right now," said Randolph. Liam sighed. Randolph started thinking.


    "Wait I have an idea," said Randolph. Randolph took some metal from the ceil bars and wrapped it around Tarah''s wrists. He grabbed more metal and put it on Wayne''s wrists then on Liam''s. Randolph then took chains and tied it to everyone''s wrists.


    "Okay, now we will try to get out of here unnoticed, but we must hurry they will soon catch onto this plot and Mercy try to stay hidden," said Randolph. And it wasn''t long before shouts and alarms started going off. Randolph quickly took them up the stairs and into a room.


    "Okay we are changing my plan. Now we are going to just get out of here without being seen," said Randolph while taking off the chains and metal,"Use everything you can to hid behind."


    "Wait are you saying we are going to slit up," said Tarah a little nervously.


    "Yes. It''s better if we all aren''t together. Tarah and Liam will go together. Wayne, Mercy, you too come with me. We will figure out where to meet later,"said Randolph. They all nodded. Liam and Tarah walked one way. Randolph, Mercy, and Wayne went the other way.


    "Do you even know how to get out of here?" Tarah asked.

They quickly took a left and found a door that said exit. As Liam opened the door, Tarah felt a sharp pain in her leg. She turned and saw a dart in her leg, but is wasn''t just any ordinary dart, this dart had fire in it. Tarah could fell the fire flowing through her blood. She wanted to scream out in pain but held it in until they got away from the building. Tarah then fell on the ground and screamed out in pain. Liam turned and saw the dart.


    "Why didn''t you tell me you got shot with a dart," Liam said very concerned for Tarah. He quickly grabbed the dart and pulled it out. Tarah let out a loud moan. Now all the could do is wait for Wayne to get here and heal her.


    Wayne, Randolph, and Mercy had been walking for awhile but Randolph said the exit was just up ahead. No one had spotted them so far but they were still being cautious. They reached a corner and we''re about to turn it when Randolph pulled them back saying,


    "What do you think your doing there are guards guarding that door."


    "You failed to mention that," said Mercy.


    "How are we going to get them away from the doors?" Wayne asked.


    "Hm. We have water, metal, and fire. We could set them on fire, burst the water pipes, or find metal to tie them up in," suggested Randolph.


    "I say we set them on fire then once we open the door Wayne can burst the water pipes," said Mercy.


    "I agree," said Randolph.


    "As do I," said Wayne. So they put there plan into action. Mercy set the men on fire and once they reached the doors and opened them Wayne bursted the pipes causing the fire to go out on the men. After getting a away from the building they heard a scream.


    "That sounded like Tarah," said Mercy.


    "Yes it did and by the sound of that scream she isn''t okay," said Wayne.


    "Then we must find them," said Randolph. So they took off in the direction of which they heard the scream.


    As they came closer they saw Tarah laying on the ground moaning in pain.


    "She got shot in the leg with a dart that had the fire element in it," said Liam to Wayne, "Can you help her?"


    "I don''t know but I will try. Firstwe have to put out the fire raging inside her body," said Wayne. Wayne put his hand on Tarah''s chest. Tarah could feel the water putting out the fire. Liam made asmall storm cloud in which Wayne took all the water from the cloud and started pouring it into Tarah''s mouth.Tarah''s pain quickly went away and she began to regain her strength. After she finished the water she thanked Wayne and Liam.


    "Well now that you are better Tarah, we should probably get out of here," said Randolph. Everyone nodded and started run away from the building.

 Chapter 4: On the Road Again

    After getting miles away from the building the slowed there pace down to a walk. There stop by a small stream leading into the woods to get a drink before continuing their journey.


    "Just to be safe we should probably go into the woods so we can not be out in the open," said Tarah after getting a drink.


    "I agree," said Randolph.


    "Me too," said Liam and Wayne.


    " I agree to just do make me mad. I think Tarah would be glad if I didn''t set this forest on fire," said Mercy. They all nodded in agreement then headed into the woods.


    As they walked further in it started getting colder.


    "If it doesn''t warm up soon I am going to freeze," said Wayne in a shivering voice.


    "I feel like I could fall asleep," said Tarah as her walking pace started to slow down.


    "Quick, come over here I can make a warm flame to keep you, Wayne, from freezing and you, Tarah, from going to sleep," said Mercy. Wayne and Tarah quickly walked over to Mercy, who had created a warm fireball that stayed between them. Wayne and Tarah started feeling better right away.


    "Thank you," said Tarah smiling.


    "Your welcome," said Mercy smiling back.


    " Yeah thanks," said Wayne in a slightly meaningful way. She may have just saved him but he didn''t really care for her that much.


    As they continued to walk they started seeing ice on the ground and on the tree.


    "I think we should turn around and go a different way," suggested Liam.


    "I agree this condition shows no sign of getting any light," said Randolph. As them they turned around they heard a voice say,


    "Don''t move or I will freeze all of you."


    "Ha you can''t freeze me I will melt your ice," Mercy said with a laugh.


    "Yes but that would mean that you would take away the warmth from your friends and they would die," the voice said as the figure stepped out of its hiding place with a smirk. It was a man. Mercy know his point was true but just hearing him talk made her want to knock that smirk clean off his face.


    "What is you name and what do you want with us?" Randolph asked.


    "I am Kristopher and I would like it if you would leave and let me be in peace," said the man coldly.


    "That''s fine with me. Come on guys let''s leave this idiot in peace," Mercy said mocking him. Kristopher turned sharply torsed her and said loudly,


    "Don''t you dare mock me again."


    "Me mock you again. Ha I would do it a million more times just to see you get angry," Mercy said fearlessly. Kristopher started straight for her, but before they could start fighting Randolph boomed in an angry tone,


    "Will you two knock it off! I have heard enough of this!" Kristopher and Mercy were startled by him.


    "Now Kristopher it''s your choice. You can join and help gather all the elementals to overthrow the Government or you can go on your own way and run or get killed by them yourself," stated Randolph.


    "Well I really don''t want to have to hang around this idiot, but I would get killed on my own in a heartbeat.     So they continued to walk until Liam stopped.


    "What''s wrong?" Mercy asked.


    "The wind is telling me something. It saying that the Government is coming and will be upon us," said Liam.


    "We need to hid. We can''t out run them," said Randolph.


    "How," doubted Kristopher," they will feel the coldness of me and trees surround us which means there''s a good chance Mercy could set the woods on fire."


    "He is right," said Wayne.


    "Hm," said Randolph pausing to think,"Wayne, you can hold Mercy''s hands and Mercy you can put your feet on Wayne''s feet to keep from settings trees on fire. Now for Kristopher." Randolph paused again this was going to be a hard one.


    "I will lead them away and if things go south I can freeze them," said Kristopher.


    "Are you sure," said Randolph.


    "Quite," replied Kristopher with confidence.


    "Then may luck be on your side because you''re going to need it," said Randolph. Kristopher nodded. Everyone one started hiding in the trees. Tarah opened the trees for everyone to get into.


    "They are coming," said Kristopher as he took off running. Everyone quickly got into a tree then Tarah shut them and climbed into one waiting for them to leave.


    They came into to site but continued in the way that Kristopher went. They took the bait, but Tarah waited a few more minutes just in case there were more of them. None came. Tarah climbed out of the tree and opened up all the trees letting everyone out. They all got out quickly.


    "We need to find Kristopher," said Randolph. Everyone nodded in agreement then took off running in the direction Kristopher went.


    They continued to run until the felt a sudden coldness. They stopped and saw Kristopher.


    "Glad to see you unharmed," said Randolph.


    "I agree," replied Kristopher,"we need to get moving before they unfreeze." So they continued to walk again.


    "We need to make a temporary headquarters," suggested Wayne.


    "We will when we find the right conditions for everyone," replied Randolph. They all walked in silence until they reached a cliff.


    "How are we going to get across?" Tarah asked.


    "Make a bridge," said Kristopher as he started to make one.


    "You better hurry up because the Government is coming again," Mercy. Everyone turned around to see the Government coming over the hill. Kristopher finished the bridge and everyone started to cross except for Mercy.


    "Um guys I can''t cross that bridge. Fire melts ice," said Mercy in a worried voice. The Government was only and few yards away.


    "Guys hurry up and make a new bridge before they kill me," said Mercy.


    "Touch the bridge to melt it," called out Tarah. So Mercy touched it. The bridge then melted away. Soon Mercy saw stepping stones begin to appear. While she waited she decided to set fire to some of the Government. Being out in the open allowed her to not worry about setting trees one fire. Many ignited in flames. She turned back to the bridge which was now complete. She quickly crossed. The stones fell behind her. Everyone welcomed her back.


    "Now that we are all here it is time to hit the road again," said Randolph smiling.

 Chapter 5: We are Going to Fight Them

    They continued to walk for a few days. They still hadn''t found any suitable place to make their temporary headquarters. Randolph tripped over a rock and fell into Liam.


    "Ouch! You shocked me," said Liam rubbing his shoulder.


    "Sorry," replied Randolph.


    "Ugh I feel like I could blow up any minute," said Mercy frowning. Suddenly they heard a voice coming toward them saying,


    "Sorry. I tend to leave a shocking effect on people." It was a man. He had black hair with yellow tips and yellow eyes which told them that he was an elemental with electricity as his power.


    "I am Ethan. I saw you guys coming and I could tell by your hair that you guys were elementals just like me so I thought I could join your group and help in whatever you guys are doing," said Ethan.


    "Nice to meet you, Ethan. I am Randolph," said Randolph. Ethan shook his hand and said,


    "Nice to meet you too." Randolph could feel the electricity surround him and his hair fill with static. Randolph licked his hand then patted his hair, taking the static away.


    "And who are you?" Ethan said walking over to Mercy.


    "I am Mercy," she replied in a annoyed voice. This guys was too friendly for her taste. Ethan kissed her hand. The electricity flowed through to her hair then her red tips of her hair bursted into flames. She quickly pulled her hand away which put the fire out in her hair and said,


    "Get away from me you creep." Ethan brushed off the insult and said,


    "That was cool how your hair did that." Wayne walked over to him and said,


    " Hi. I am Wayne and if I were you I would listen to Mercy and get away from her. The last thing you want to do is make her mad."


    "It''s is nice to meet you Wayne and I think you are right," replied Ethan shaking Wayne''s hand.


    "This is Liam and Tarah," said Wayne. Ethan shook Liam''s hand and kissed Tarah''s hand, "And that is Kristopher. Probably don''t want to shake his hand he might hurt you." Kristopher turned to Wayne and smiled in agreement.


    "I wouldn''t hurt him unless he got on my nerves," said Kristopher. Wayne laughed slightly because he knew Ethan would most likely get on Kristopher''s nerves.


    "So I am guessing Tarah has earth powers, Liam has air powers, Mercy has fire powers, Randolph has metal, you, Wayne, have water powers, and you, Kristopher have ice powers. Am I right?" Ethan asked.


    "Yep. And you are electricity," replied Wayne.

    "We are running from the Government," said Randolph.


    "I didn''t know the Government was after us elementals," replied Ethan in a concerned voice.


    "Yeah and if you join us you will be hunted just like we are," said Tarah.


    "I know but the Government needs to know once and for all who they are messing with. We are elementals. We don''t run from a fight, we start the fight, and if they want a fight they will get it. We need to find more elementals and I say we fight back," said Ethan with words that brought confidence to everyone.


    "Ethan is right. We need to quite running and fight back," replied Randolph


    "Ethan do you know where we can find more elementals?" Liam asked.


    "No, but I am sure they will show up sometime down the road," said Ethan.


    "Well we can''t go walking now it''s too dark. I say we rest here and head out tomorrow and look for others," suggested Kristopher.


    "Kristopher is right we shouldn''t be walking around at night," said Wayne.


    "I will take first watch then," said Randolph. So, they all eat a small bit of supper then went to bed while Randolph took the first watch.


    After first watch was over Randolph woke up Wayne and told him it was his turn to take the watch. Wayne looked around to survey the area. There was a lake to his left, a forest behind him, a volcano to his right, and an open plain in front of him. This would be a great place to make their headquarters. All they needed was supplies to build a house fit for everyone. While in thought Wayne felt a tap on his shoulder. It was Ethan.

 Chapter 7:Kimberly

    Just like Calvin said Leann appeared in front of them with someone with her. That person must have been Erinn. She was in all black clothes with black eyes and black hair. Tarah and Mercy were slightly intimidated by her.

    " Hi," said Erinn in a dull voice.

One day I got mad at them. Ice shot out of my hands and hit them right in the heart. You wanted to know why I don''t like people well that''s why! I don''t want to kill anyone like I did my parents. I am a murderer! I killed my parents! I had to live alone at the age of 13 all because I didn''t control my anger. Just like I am doing right now," Kristopher exclaimed. He then turned a stormed away from them trying to hold back tears. Everyone was dead silent.


    "I am Rachelle," said the woman.


    "I will go talk to him," said Erinn as she got up.


    When she found him, he was hitting a block of ice.


    "Hey," she said causing him to stop hitting the ice.


    "What do you want with me," he said coldly.


    "Nothing really. I just wanted to see if you were okay, which by the looks of your hands I would say no," replied Erinn walking over to him. Kristopher sighed.


    "If I could wrap them I would but I can''t," Erinn said looking him in the eyes and seeing the tears running down his cheeks, "You are not a murderer. I imagine it''s very hard to not blame yourself for your parents'' death but you must forgive yourself. You were young and couldn''t control your power." Kristopher said,


    "I know but it''s very hard for me to do that."


    "How about every time you think about it, you tell yourself that that happened in the past and you have forgiven yourself so you need to forget about it," said Erinn wiping a tear off his cheek.


    "I guess I could try that," said Kristopher drying his tears away. Kristopher hugged her and said,


    "Thank you." Erinn smiled as a stray tear fell down her cheek.

 Time Skip

    So I am doing a time skip. In this time skip the Headquarter is built and each Elemental has their own place from them and their powers. There were attacks on them and in one the attacks Liam gets injured. So in the next chapter the Elementals will be learning how to become more powerful so they mount an attack on the Government. Also you will see some of the characters start to like each other and some of the characters hate each other even more. Also if you still weren''t for sure what everyone looked like here is their description and their power:

 Chapter 9: Something in the Air

    Tarah woke up early in the morning to go get some fruit for breakfast for everyone. It was nice to have her own place especially since it was in the woods. She walked a few feet away for her home and asked the trees for some fruit to feed everyone. The tress gladly gave her some. She stuck all the fruit in her basket and headed back to the main headquarter to prepare the fruit. As she was walking back she saw Wayne. It looked like he was trying to control water, but wasn''t have much luck with it, so Tarah decided to go over and talk to him.


    "How are things going?" She asked.


    "Well not to good. I have been up since the break of dawn and I still can''t control this water," Wayne replied in a frustrated voice.


    "Why don''t you take a break. I bet your hungry," Tarah said tossing him a pear. When Wayne caught it, his stomach gurgled.


    "Seems your right," he said with a laugh. He came out of the water and he and Tarah headed to the Headquarter.


    When they arrived at the Headquarter, everyone one was waiting on them to eat.


    "What took you two so long?" asked Randolph.


    "We got side tracked talking," replied Tarah.


    "Sure," teased Rachelle. Tarah frowned but was blushing.


    "Well now that you two are here, we can cut up the fruit and eat," said Randolph taking the basket from Tarah''s hands. A few minutes later they began to eat. The room was filled with talking and laughter. Everyone was about either the upcoming attack or they were asking Liam how his leg was feeling. The food tasted wonderful to them and it wasn''t long before it was gone. Everyone set their dishes by the sink for Wayne to clean. Today was his day to do the dishes.


    "Would you like me to help you with the dishes," Tarah asked Wayne.


    "If you want to, you can," said Wayne smiling at her. Tarah was always nice and he liked that about her. So, they cleaned the dishes while everyone else went to go practice their skills. Kimberly was having trouble remembering how she made that crack in matter. Mercy was having trouble making her fire power stronger. Liam was having trouble learning how to control the air. Randolph was teaching himself how to summon metal without having any metal near him. Kristopher was having trouble shooting ice sickles from his hands. Ethan couldn''t practice because he need it to storm in order to try and control where lightening would strike. So he decided to go walking around and see how everyone was doing. He decided to go see what Calvin was doing. When he arrived at Calvin''s place he saw Calvin and Mercy practicing together.


    "You two look like you''re having fun," said Ethan.


    "What are you doing here," Mercy said in a disgusted voice.


    "Well I can''t practice so I thought I would walk around and see what everyone was up too," replied Ethan ignoring the tone of Mercy''s voice.


    "Well if you don''t mind we would like to get back to training," replied Calvin.


    "Okay," said Ethan as he turned and walked away from them. With a sigh Mercy said,

    "I see nothing wrong with him," said Calvin laughing at Mercy''s face. Mercy smiled then lightly punched him in the shoulder.


    "Ouch! That hurt," he lied as he fell to the ground.


    "Oh whatever," Mercy said laughing at him.


    "Oh the darkness its closing in," Calvin joked as he grabbed his heart.


    "Is there anything I can do," Mercy said playing along with Calvin. Pulling her to the ground he said,


    "The only thing that can help me is if someone stays with me as I pass." No longer able to hold back her laughter, Mercy started to burst with laughter. Calvin started laughing as well.


    "You two are weird," said Erinn as she walked by.


    "But not as weird as you and Kristopher," teased Calvin. Erinn frowned and continued to walk until she found Kristopher.


    "Still having trouble with shooting ice sickles," Erinn said.


    "Yeah," replied Kristopher.


    "I am sure you will get it down soon enough," said Erinn smiling at him. Kristopher smiled back.


    "I have a surprise for you," said Kristopher.


    "Oh and what is that," Erinn said in a curious voice.


    "Close your eyes first," said Kristopher. Erinn closed her eyes then asked,


    "Now what?"


    "You just keep your eyes closed and I will guide you," replied Kristopher. Erinn stood there for a few seconds before she felt Kristopher''s cold hand grab her''s. He led her around until they stopped and he said,


    "Now you can open your eyes." When Erinn opened her eyes, she saw a small body of water frozen over.


    "I thought I can give you some sort of a thank you gift for all you have done for me," said Kristopher stepping out on the ice.


    "I have never been ice-skating before," said Erinn in a nervous voice.


    "That''s okay. I will be right here with you," said Kristopher as he extended his hand to her. Erinn slowly grabbed his hand and put both feet on the ice. She started to fall when Kristopher grabbed her waist. Erinn looked at him and smiled. Kristopher smiled back and said,


    "Now you take small gliding steps." Erinn tried it. At first she had trouble but as she went it got better. Kristopher let go of her to see if she could balance on her own. She could.


    "Wohoo," she said as she skated around on the ice. Kristopher smiled and laughed as he watched her skated around him. After a few minutes of admiring her, he decided to join her.


    "One might think that you have been ice-skating before by how well you are skating right now," remarked Kristopher.


    "Don''t say that then you will jinx," Erinn said as she started to lose her balance. Kristopher tried to catch her but it was too late. Erinn had fallen on her butt.


    "I told you," Erinn said laughing. Kristopher went to help her up but when he started to pull her up he lost his balance and started to fall. Lucky for Erinn he could stop himself from falling right on her, but he was only a few feet away from Erinn''s face. They both smiled at each other. Kristopher started to lean in to kiss her, but stopped when he heard a voice call out,


    "Looks like you two seemed to be pretty friendly with each other." Erinn started blushing. Kristopher smiled at her, fell to the left side of her, then looked up to see Liam and Paris staring at them. He blushed.


    "We would join you two on the ice but Liam''s leg isn''t ready to go ice-skating yet," said Paris breaking the silence. Liam smiled and said,


    "We better leave those two love-birds only." Still blushing, Erinn and Kristopher said,


    "We aren''t love-birds." Liam and Paris just smiled and continued to walk.


    "Do you need to sit down yet?" Paris asked Liam.


    "No, I can walk a little longer," replied Liam.


    "Okay." After a few minutes of silence Liam said,


    "I think Erinn and Kristopher have a crush on each other, wouldn''t you agree."


    "Yes and I think they would make a great couple," replied Paris.


    "I know I have told you this a million times but thank you for taking care of me," said Liam smiling at her.


    "What else do you expect a friend to do for another friend," Paris said smiling.


    "So you see me as a friend," said Liam slightly frowning. She him frown she said,


    "No, I just want to get to know you a little more." Liam smiled at her.


    "Good," Liam whispered under his breath.


    "You guys mind if we join you," said a voice behind them. They turned around to see Ethan and Rachelle walking up to them.


    "No. Not at all," replied Paris.


    "So what are you two up too?" Ethan asked.


    "Just walking and talking. What about you two?" Liam asked.


    "The same really," replied Ethan.


    "Well by the look of the sun we should probably head back to the Headquarter. It''s probably about supper time. So they headed back to the Headquarter.

 Chapter 10: Tarah Has Changed

    After supper was finished, Leann and Erinn left to do their job and everyone else went back to their homes.


    "Mind if I walk you home?" Wayne asked Tarah.


    "Not at all," replied Tarah smiling at her.


    "How has your training been going?" Wayne asked.


    "Not good. I want to say I am getting back but it feels like I am getting weaker," replied Tarah with a frown.


    "I am sure you reach your goal in no time," said Wayne smiling at then grabbing her. Tarah grabbed his hand back, but suddenly she started feeling dizzy. Wayne looked at her and asked,


    "Tarah are you okay?"


    "Yeah I am fine," Tarah said in a slushy voice.


    "No, you are not. You need to sit down," replied Wayne in a stern voice. But it was to last. Wayne saw her eyes roll back and he immediately felt the weight of Tarah falling. Wayne grabbed her and laid her on the ground.


    "Tarah can you hear me?" Wayne asked in a concerned voice. Tarah wanted to answer him but she couldn''t. Her world was black, but it started to get lighter. But instead of see Wayne, she saw large figures. They looked like they were asleep. Suddenly she felt the ground shake and saw the figures starting to stand up.


    "Who are you," she called out to them. Turning towards her they said,


    "We are the guardians of the Earth and we have awakened to put the Earth back into balance."


    "How will you do that?" Tarah asked.


    "Putting an end to the Elementals," said a guardian.


    "You can''t do that!" exclaimed Tarah.


    "You have 3 days until we arrived," said a guardian. But before she could answer her world started to go black. A few seconds it started to get lighter. Soon she saw Wayne''s face.


    "Tarah what happened? You were talking aloud," said Wayne looking at her. Tarah went to answer him a tell him what happened but all she would say was,


    "They are coming." Her mouth wouldn''t let her say anything else. Again, she felt a sudden change. She didn''t feel like herself instead she felt like Wayne. She suddenly felt relaxed and claim.


    "Who is coming?" Wayne asked.


    "Never mind that everything is fine we can worry about it when the time comes," Tarah said. She was shocked. That wasn''t what she was going to at all. Wayne was very confused. Tarah had never acted like that before. She was acting like him not like herself at all. Wayne saw the confused look on her face.     "I think you need to get some sleep," said Wayne, "I can stay here with you if you want me too."


    "I wouldn''t mind that," said Tarah with a smile. Wayne slightly smiled back at her. Tarah went to sleep, but Wayne had a hard time sleeping.


    Tarah woke up and saw Wayne asleep on the floor. She smiled and decided to left him sleep. She started walking to the Headquarter when Ethan came up to her and asked,


    "Hey, how are you. I heard what happened."


    "Oh yeah I am fine," she said quickly. She suddenly felt very energetic and talk-of-did. And that was what she hated about Ethan. Now she was taking on his personality. She arrived at the headquarter and started talking to everyone even the ones she didn''t like. Everyone finally made it to the Headquarter. Randolph quickly grabbed Wayne and said,


    "Tarah has been acting strange. What all happened last night?" Wayne then explained to him what had happened that night.


    "Hmm, so by the looks of it she is taking on the personalities of the people around her," said Randolph. Just after saying that Ethan came up to them and said,


    "Something isn''t right with Tarah. Normally she hates me now she is acting just like me and when she would just start acting like anyone who got near her.


    "We know," said Randolph, "Tell everyone except Tarah we will be having a meeting tonight after Tarah goes to sleep. Wayne, you will stay with her until she is asleep the come and wake us up." Wayne and Ethan both nodded.


    Night came and Tarah was asleep. Wayne got everyone up and they headed to the Headquarter to discuss Tarah''s condition. Meanwhile Tarah was having that dream again. She saw the guardians. She for the first time felt like herself again. She called out to them saying,


    "Why will you not let me warn my friends?"


    "Because if they find out we are coming they will practice more thus hurting the Earth even more then they are now," replied the guardian.


    "Is that why I seem to be taking on everyone''s personality, because the Earth is unbalanced?" Tarah asked.


    "Yes and until the Earth is in balanced again you will ask like everyone around you," said the guardian. Tarah thought about Wayne. What if she ended up saying something that would make him upset with her? The last thing she wanted to do but if she had taken on the personality of Mercy and ended up saying some about him that wasn''t true.


    "Is there any way I can avoid this?" She asked.


    "Only if you are talking to us will you be yourself. Other than that, you can''t avoid it," said the guardian. Tarah wanted the Earth to be balanced again, but she didn''t want her or her friends to be killed. She soon woke up. It was still night. She saw the lights on in the Headquarter but decided that she should stay home and go back to sleep.


    The meeting had been going for about thirty minutes. They still hadn''t figured out what to do with Tarah.


    "How about everyone she doesn''t like stay away from her and everyone she likes take turns staying with her," suggested Wayne.


    "Or she could just stay in her house and not come out until we find out what''s going on," said Mercy.


    "No, that wouldn''t work. She wouldn''t like that one bit," argued Wayne.


    "Oh that''s right you know so well," said Mercy in a sarcastic voice.


    "Well I do. Well at least better than you. You don''t know her what so ever," replied Wayne.


    "That''s enough you too," said Randolph, "I think that everyone should do what they want. If you don''t want to have Tarah act like you just stay away from her. If you can handle her acting like you then you can help by taking a day to watch her and make sure nothing goes wrong."


    Everyone nodded in agreement.


    "One thing we know is Tarah has changed," said Liam.

 Chapter 11: That Must Be Them

    Tarah woke, but instead of seeing Wayne, she saw Randolph sitting in her chair.


    "Good morning," he said. As soon as he spoke Tarah felt the change again. She knew what had just happened.


    "Good morning," she replied, "It was nice of you to take Wayne''s place and stay the night here.


    "Well I am just being a good friend to him and beside I get to spend some time with you," Randolph said with a blushing smile, "I brought you breakfast."


    "Thank you," Tarah replied. Tarah know that Randolph liked her, but she only saw him as a friend. She started to worry that if Randolph did something she didn''t like, she would end up repaying feels she didn''t have for him and the last thing she wanted to do was upset Wayne. Randolph walked over to her and handed her breakfast. Randolph touched her hand, Tarah quickly picked up how much he wanted to kiss her. Her worst thought was just about to come true. She looked into his eyes with a mischievous look. Randolph looked a bit confused then realized what happen. Tarah was suddenly repaying the feels he had for her. Tarah put her tray down and grabbed his shirt and began to kiss him. Randolph wasn''t able to control himself. He began to kiss her back. Tarah went over and locked the door then pulled him down onto her bed. Randolph''s weight fall onto her. Randolph began to kiss her neck. Tarah let out a slight moan. She began to unbutton Randolph''s shirt. Randolph began to unbutton her shirt as well. Tarah couldn''t believe what she was doing. How was she supposed to explain this to Wayne? But no matter who hard she tried to stop she couldn''t. She felt very ashamed, but she couldn''t stop. She had taken his shirt off and he had her''s off too, when a knock came at the door.


    "Hey Tarah you been in there for and bit. Everything okay?" came the voice. It was Wayne. She went to tell him that she wasn''t okay but ended up saying,


    "Yeah I am fine."


    "Then why is the door locked?" Wayne questioned her.


    "Because I am getting dressed and no Randolph isn''t here, I made him leave," she lied. She was shocked that she said that.


    "Okay well I will be waiting for you at the Headquarter when you are done changing," he said. After hearing him leave she turned back to Randolph andstarted kissing him again. She then started unbuttoning his pants. He started to breath heavy and began to unbutton her pants. Tarah began to moan even more. She got his pants off him. His body was pressing down hard on her. She was now in her bra and underwear. He began to unhook her bra, but he stopped. What was he doing. This was not like him. He was using Tarah to get what he wanted from her. Tarah was taking off his underwear when she picked up on what he was thinking. She quickly stopped.     "Is something wrong?"


    "I am so sorry. I don''t know what I was thinking," replied Randolph as he removed his body from Tarah''s and began to get dressed. After his body leaving her''s, she felt guilt and quickly covered herself up then said,


    "No, it was my fault. I should have controlled myself.


    "No it''s mine. I didn''t control myself and took advantage of you acting like me," replied Randolph, "Better get dressed and meet Wayne before he comes back." Tarah knew he was right, so she quickly got dressed and went to meet Wayne, while Randolph waited a few minutes before leaving Tarah''s house and heading to his.


    "There you are," said Wayne as he hugged her, "You are breathing heavy and you are also sweating. Did you run all the way here?"


    "As a matter of fact I did," she said laughing. But she knew that wasn''t the reason why.


    "So you were that excited to see me," Wayne said laughing then grabbing her hand. Unlike with Randolph, Wayne was controlling himself so Tarah didn''t need to worry about doing anything she would regret. They continued to walk when she began to go into a trans. It was the Guardians.


    "Whathave you summoned me for?" She asked.


    "We have arrived. I suggest you find a way to save your friends and fast," replied the guardian.


    "But you guys aren''t supposed to be here until tomorrow and seems how I can''t tell everyone about you guys, how am I supposed to save them," said Tarah in a shocked voice.


    "That is for you to figure out," replied the guardian. Just then an idea popped into her head. She could tell them to stop practicing because it was causing her to act like this. She wasn''t telling them about the guardians but it just might help the Earth balance back out. Just then she saw Wayne waving at her face.


    "Umm who were you talking to?" He asked


    "I can''t tell you but you need to quit practicing with your powers. Everyone is making the Earth unbalanced and that is what is causing me to act like everyone," said Tarah. Wayne wasn''t sure if he should believe her because she had taken on his personality of him, but he wouldn''t lie about something.


    "Okay, I will tell everyone else. I believelunch is ready. Do you want to wait until everyone leaves before you eat?" Wayne asked.


    "Yeah. If you want to you could bring it to me when your done eating," replied Tarah.


    "Okay, but are you sure you can wait that long," Wayne asked.


    "Yep," replied Tarah smiling. Wayne smiled back at her then kissed her.


    He reached the Headquarter and told everyone what Tarah told him.


    "Hmm. I think we should listen to her. It would make since for the way she has been acting," replied Randolph.


    "But we are not for sure that is the real Tarah talking since she was with Wayne," replied Mercy.


    "But I won''t lie about something that concerned everyone," said Wayne.


    "Wayne is right," said Kristopher, "He wouldn''t lie about something like that." Just then the ground began to shake. They all went outside to see several giant, glowing men coming out of the ground.


    "That must be Them," replied Rachelle. Everyone then ready themselves for battle.

 Chapter 12: Confronting the Past

    The Guardians turn to see the Elementals standing in front of them. The Guardians laughed and said,


    "This is going to be easy."


    "Not if you have something to say about it," said Mercy as she shot a fireball at one of the Guardians. The Guardian just smiled a caught the fireball and turned it to ice. Mercy was shocked, but soon the ice ball was flying back at her. She quickly shot a stream for fire at the ice ball. The ice melted but now a fireball was coming right at her. Because she was fire, she let the fireball hit her. The force of the fireball throw her back onto the ground.


    "Mercy are you okay?" Calvin asked.


    "Yeah I am fine, but I not sure how to defeat this guy," replied Mercy.


    "I am not sure I know how to either," said Calvin.


    "Do you give up," said the Guardian with a laugh.


    "Never," said Mercy as she makes another fireball and throws it at him. Again, the Guardian caught the fireball but instead of covering it with ice he just through it back at her. Mercy was waiting for it to hit her when she saw ice cover it. The ice melted right away and the water fell into the fireball putting it out.


    "I think I just figured out who do defeat this thing," said Kristopher. The Guardian frowned then through an ice ball at Kristopher. Kristopher prepared to take the hit when I ice ball caught fire. The ice put out most of the fire but there was still a small fireball headed his way. He got ready to jump out of the way when water consumed the fireball put the fire out. Right after the water went out the water came back to the hand of Wayne. Wayne just smirked. Kristopher smirked back at him.


    "Well I thought it would put out my fire. Hmm I guess not," said Mercy.


    "Yeah you could have seriously hurt me," said Kristopher in a frustrated voice.


    "Guys this is not the time to argue. We got to kill this thing and all the others," replied Wayne, "Everyone find your weakness and learn to work together. That is the only way to defeat these things."


    "Wait don''t do this," came a voice. They turned to see Tarah heading straight towards the Guardians.


    "Tarah what are you doing," screamed Wayne as he took off after her, "You are going to get yourself killed. Kristopher quickly pulled him back and said,


    "Don''t try it. It looks like they are listening to her."

    "And what would that be," replied one of the Guardians.


    "I don''t know. Maybe you could make some sort of protection around the Headquarter until we are ready to fight the Government. Or better yet you can help us defeat the Government," replied Tarah. The Guardians looked at each other then said,


    "We will need to think about this. Until then you should not practice anymore and the Earth will balance out and you will go back to normal." Tarah nodded. The Guardians then returned to the ground from which they came. Tarah turned to everyone and said,


    "Well you heard them no more practicing and the Earth will balance out as will I."


    A week went by and Tarah was finally back to her normal self, but with that she knew she needed to confront Wayne about what happened between her and Randolph, so she decided to go look for him and tell him about what happened. While on her way, she ran into Randolph.


    "Hello. I was just on my way to see you," he said.


    "Oh. What were you wanting to see me about?" She asked. Randolph swallowed hard and said,


    "Umm how do I say this. I really like you." Tarah was about to respond when she felt something press against her lips and body forcing her against a tree. Knowing that it was Randolph she pushed him away and said,


    "I am sorry but I don''t like you the way you like me and what happened that morning wasn''t right and it doesn''t give you the right to try and make it happen again. I wasn''t myself that morning.


    "What happened that morning?" A voice asked from behind them. They turned to see Wayne with an unhappy look on his face. Seeing Wayne''s face, Randolph said,


    "I think I better get going."


    "No, you are going to stay right here," replied Wayne in a forceful voice. His voice caught Randolph off guard. Wayne had never sounded like that before and Randolph didn''t want to find out the outcome if he were to leave.


    "I say we find somewhere private to sit and talk," said Tarah feeling nervous the Wayne would think she was hiding this from him. So, they went to Wayne''s house.


    "So who is going to spill first?" Wayne asked. At the same time, Randolph and Tarah said,


    "It was my fault." Wayne continued to stare at them.


    "No Tarah, it''s not your fault you couldn''t control yourself and it''s time that I own up to what I did. Wayne, what I did was very shameful and I am sorry I put Tarah in that situation. I let my emotion get the best of me and Tarah and I had a very intense make-out session," said Randolph. Wayne showed no emotions in his face turned to Tarah and asked,


    "Is this true or did more than a make-out session happen?"


    "Yes and if it hadn''t been for Randolph realizing what he was doing was wrong and stopping, it would have turned into something more," she replied.


    "I see. In that case, Randolph I am glad you could control yourself before it got too far. If you want to leave you can leave now," said Wayne in a nicer voice then before.


    "Yes, I am glad to get this off my chest but I must help prepare lunch," said Randolph. With that Randolph left leaving Wayne and Tarah to themselves. Wayne turned to her. She turned away from him with shame. Wayne lightly smiled, grabbed her waist, and pulled her to him saying,


    "I understand that you are ashamed for what happened but what happened wasn''t your fault."


    "I know but I just feel sick when it is brought up," said Tarah still not looking at him. Wayne gently turned her face to him and said,


    "I know it wasn''t you so I am not going to hold it against you. I know that you like me and would never do something to make me upset. Now can you please forgive yourself and go back to your happy self." Tarah smiled at him and said,


    "Okay." Wayne kissed her forehead and said softly,


    "That''s my girl."


    After finishing their conversation, they headed up to the Headquarter for lunch.

 Chapter 13: A Starry Night

    Everyone had been waiting for Wayne and Tarah to eat. When they finally arrived, Kristopher said,


    "Finally we can eat." Wayne just smiled at Kristopher''s remark. Everyone then went on to get their food. After getting his food, Kristopher sat down beside Erinn and said,


    "After you finish making the sky dark tonight meet me outside of my house. I have a date planned out for us." Erinn smiled brightly and said,


    "Okay."


    After finishing her job, Erinn cleaned herself up and headed over the Kristopher house. She was very curious about what Kristopher had planned for tonight. When she arrived she immediately felt cold, but she had got used to it from being around Kristopher so much. Carefully not to slip on the ice, she headed to Kristopher''s porch. About when she was about to knock on his door, the door opened.


    "Sorry to keep you waiting, I had to grab some last-minute things," Kristopher said looking at a blanket and basket in his hand.


    "That''s okay, I just arrived anyway," replied Erinn. Kristopher guided Erinn to a spot on the ice and put the blanket down. Erinn, with the help of Kristopher, sat down on the blanket. Kristopher soon joined her. They laid down on the blanket and looked up at the sky to watch the stars that Leann had put in the sky.


    "Ah so star-gazing is what you planned. Well I think that has been you best idea for a date so far. I can''t wait to see what you will do to top this," said Erinn smiling at the sky.


    "I am glad you like it. Now how about some snacks to enjoy while we enjoy the night sky together," replied Kristopher smiling at her. Erinn sat up to see Kristopher pulling out midnight chocolates and dark chocolates.


    "You really out-did yourself," Erinn said while taking a piece dark chocolate.


    "I know," said Kristopher with a small laugh watching Erinn indulge in the chocolates. After they finished snacking, they went back to star-gazing. Erinn cuddled up to Kristopher then asked,


    "Can you find all the constellations?"


    "Most of them, but not all of them," replied Kristopher, "But I would like you see you name all of them." Erinn smiled and said,


    "Okay." Erinn went on to name them and pointed them all out to him. Kristopher watched her as she explained. After she finished, she turned to Kristopher looking at her with a smile on his face.


    "What," she said with a laugh. Just then Kristopher saw a star twinkle in her eyes.


    "Oh nothing, just that you''re so beautiful when you explain things and your eyes just twinkled," said Kristopher. Erinn blushed and began to turn her head when she felt a cold hand gentle grab her chin. She looked to see Kristopher only a few inches away from her face. Her heart jumped. She felt her chin being pulled closer to Kristopher''s face. Her beat began to beat fast. She then closed her eyes and soon felt Kristopher cold lips press against her lips. Erinn responded back to Kristopher by kissing him back. After a few seconds, she began to feel the need for air. She pulled away to break the kiss.     "Look at shooting star. You have to make a wish." Kristopher smiled then said,


    "Okay." He closed his eyes and made a wish in his head that he would always be together with Erinn.


    "So what was your wish?" Erinn asked.


    "I am not going to tell," Kristopher said rubbing his nose against her nose.


    "Why not," she said in a disappointed voice.


    "Because it might not come true," explained Kristopher with a smile.


    "Oh I see," said Erinn with a smile. They continued to watch the stars until Kristopher asked,


    "Erinn are you still awake?" Erinn didn''t answer him. He looked at her to see her eyes shut and heard her lightly breathing. Kristopher smiled at her then kissed her forehead. Not wanting to wake her up, he wrapped his arms around her, pulled her body close to him, and went to sleep beside her.


    Kristopher woke up. It was light out. Seeing that Erinn was still asleep, he picked up Erinn and carried her to her house where covered her up and left. Shortly after he left Erinn woke up. She remembered slightly waking up and see Kristopher carrying her. Though she wanted to go back to sleep, she wanted to tell Kristopher how much fun last night was and thanks him for carrying her back to her house, but suddenly her stomach let out a loud growl. She realized that she had not eat breakfast yet. She was going to have to put her thank you on hold. She changed her clothes then headed up to the Headquarter.


    When she arrived, she saw that Kristopher wasn''t there. She was confused, but didn''t dwell on it. After finishing her breakfast, she when to Kristopher''s house. She knocked on his door. After waiting a few seconds the door opened. Kristopher was standing there shirt-less. Trying not to let her mouth drop open, she asked,


    "Is this a bad time?"


    "No, not all. Why don''t you come inside, I would hate to have you stand around when you could sit down inside," replied Kristopher.


    "Thank you," said Erinn as she walked into the house. Everything was made of ice.


    "So what''s up?" Kristopher asked.


    "I came to say thank you for last night and for carrying me home. And, you weren''t at breakfast this morning and I wanted to make sure you were okay," replied Erinn.


    "I am glad you had fun last night. I had fun as well and your welcome. I wasn''t at breakfast because the sun from this morning took energy out of me and I wasn''t feeling well," Kristopher replied back to her.


    "Oh. If you weren''t feeling well you didn''t have to carry me home," Erinn said in a worried voice.


    "Are you kidding, I would carry you anywhere no matter how bad I would feel," he said as he picked up Erinn and spun her around in a circle. Erinn put her hand on his chest and her arm around his neck then started laughing.


    "I see that," she said still laughing. Erinn could feel his heart beating. It was beating quite fast. Erinn looked at him and smiled. See her smile, Kristopher leaded in to kiss her. He knew she could feel his heart beating, but he didn''t care he was going to kiss her. He felt her lips against his. He felt her lips respond back. He wanted to make this kiss last longer than the last one, so every chance he got to get some air he took it until he was forced to release the kiss. He looked to see Erinn red-faced.


    "Are you okay?" He asked.


    "Yeah, I am fine. Just that kiss lasted longer than I thought it would," replied Erinn with a small laugh.


    "Would you like to try for an even longer kiss?" Kristopher asked with a smirk.


    "Can your arms handle my weight?" Erinn asked with a smirk.


    "Of course they can," he said flexing his muscles. Erinn smiled then engaged the kiss.She could feel Kristopher''s heart beating even faster. Her heart was beating fast too. When they broke the kiss both of their faces were red. Smiling, Kristopher sat Erinn down in a chair and said,


    "Let me cool you down." He gentle took his hand across her face until the redness in her face went away. Erinn instantly started to cool down. After that they talked until it was time for lunch.

 Chapter 14: The Truth is Revealed

    After everyone finished lunch, Rachelle came up and asked Ethan,


    "Can we talk privately at my house?" Seeing the concerned look on her face, Ethan asked,


    "Is everything okay?"


    "Yes, I just need to tell you something about me that you might really like to know," replied Rachelle.


    "Okay," said Ethan in a confused voice as he followed Rachelle to her house.


    When they arrived at Rachelle''s house, Rachelle said,


    "Please have a seat." Ethan smiled realizing that Rachelle had just read his mind. Ethan then sat on the couch beside Rachelle.


    "So what is it you would like to tell me?" He asked.


    "So you remember back when you told your story and you made said something about a girl you knew who was named Mary," said Rachelle.


    "Yes," said Ethan, "Do you know where she is? Have you seen her?" Rachelle took a deep breath and said,


    "I am Mary." Speechless, Ethan sat there starring at her.


    "If you don''t believe me I understand but there was something you gave me that only the real Mary would have," said Rachelle after reading his mind. Rachelle then pulled out a pearl from her pocket.


    "You gave this to me the day before I left," said Rachelle. Ethan now knew she wasn''t lying.


    "Mary," he whispered as he stroked her face, "Why did you leave me?" Putting her head on his head, she said,


    "Because I was changing and I was afraid. Once I discovered I could read minds, I became afraid that people would start hating me for knowing some of their thoughts. Then my hair began to change pink. I was afraid that once you found out, you wouldn''t like me anymore. So, I ran away and was alone until I found you guys."


    "Really? Because I like this new look," said Ethan wiping away a single fallen tear for Rachelle''s face.


    "You do?" Rachelle asked. Ethan nodded in response to her question.


    "Your pink eyes are the most beautiful I have seen and your hair makes you like even more beautiful," Ethan said as he ran his fingers through her hair. Rachelle smiled and said,


    "Thank you."


    "For what?" He asked.


    "For understanding," said Rachelle. Ethan smiled then leaned in for a kiss. Rachelle, being able to read his mind, leaned in to kiss him as well. A spark ignited when their lips touched. Rachelle could feel the electrify surrounding her.     "I love you." After a few more kisses, Rachelle said,


    "I love you too." Shortly after finishing her sentence, a knock came on the door.


    "Who is it?" Rachelle asked.


    "It''s Wayne. You need to come out right away. We are under attack," said the voice. Rachelle quickly jumped up, but lost her balance and fell onto Ethan. Ethan laughed.


    "Hey it''s not funny. We need to get out there and help them," said Rachelle with a frown.


    "I''m sorry," he said, "but can I kiss you one more time?"


    "No," she said standing up, "I am sure you will have plenty of other times to kiss me." Ethan stood up and grabbed her arm.


    "Ethan what are yo-," Rachelle began to say when her sentence was cut off by Ethan''s lips. Ethan broke the kiss then laughed and ran out of the house. Rachelle laughed and said,


    "That tater."


    When Rachelle caught up with everyone, she saw agents come towards them.


    "You all know what to do," said Randolph. Everyone made themselves ready. Soon Randolph''s signal came and once again they charged into a fight. Rachelle not having a useful power had to use hand-to-hand combat, so she waited until an agent came after her before she would fight. After a few minutes of waiting, an agent made his way towards her. Able to read his mind, Rachelle could make some delivering blows to the agent.


    "You must have psychic powers," said the agent in pain. Rachelle just smiled. The agent smiled back. Rachelle then got a bad feeling in her stomach. She then felt a hard punch to her gut then her face. She could feel the blood running down her face. Trying to defend herself, she threw punches back at him. Each one was caught by the agent. She could feel her energy draining and her body began to ache more and more as punches continued to hit her. Finally, she fell to the ground and her world went black. The agent quickly picked her up and ran off, but Ethan had saw him and started after him. Using his energy, he ran after the agent. Everyone else began to follow him except Tarah.


    "Tarah, what''s wrong?" Wayne asked.


    "It''s happening again," said Tarah as she began to breath heavy, "The earth is becoming unbalanced again." Tarah began to fall but Wayne caught her and yelled to everyone else to stop Ethan because he was beginning to unbalance the earth. Randolph quickly formed a metal that hit Ethan knocking him to the ground. Wayne looked at Tarah and saw the color returning to her face.


    "Are you feeling better?" He asked.


    "Yes," she said as she began to stand up and regain her balance.


    "Good," Wayne said kissing her forehead.


    "What was that for," said Ethan storming up to them, "we need to get Rachelle back."


    "Ethan slow down. We stopped you because you were hurting Tarah and don''t worry we will get Rachelle back, we just have to come up with a plan," said Wayne as he put a hand on his shoulder. Ethan took a deep breath and said,


    "Okay. Your right, Wayne." Everyone then headed up to the headquarter.


    "So how are we supposed to rescue Rachelle when we can''t use our power except for the stuff we already know, which is too weak to take on the Government?" Kristopher asked.


    "Why do you think we are here dummy," replied Mercy.


    "Who are you calling dummy," Kristopher said as he began to walk over to Mercy.


    "I won''t do that if I were you," said Calvin standing in front of Mercy.


    "Nor I to you," said Erinn stepping beside Kristopher.


    "That is enough. Now is not the time to be fighting," said Randolph, "Now I have a plan on how to get Rachelle back. Paris, Ethan, Wayne, and myself will make our way to the Government headquarter. Until we return, I want you all to keep everything in order and please don''t do anything stupid. Paris, Ethan, and Wayne, I will explain everything else on the road, for now let''s just focus on getting ready. We leave at nightfall tonight."
