《A Forbidden Contract》 Prologue: Striking the Match As Greg paced around in his living room for the tenth time in the last hour he began thinking back to the call he recieved an hour ago. ''''Hello, this is the Planetoid representative for your area and we would like to inform you that the VR pod you have oredered will be installed today.'''' said the Representative, and as soon as the man had stopped talking he immediately hung up leaving Greg confused as to when and how it was going to be installed. Just then a nock came at the door bringing out some excitement that he had not felt in some time, and when he answered the door he saw that a man with a large box was outside. Greg called to them, ''''Are you the ones that are delivering the VR pod I ordered?'''' Hereplied hastily, ''''Yes, are you a mister ''Greg Desmo?'' '''' Greg said, ''''Yeah thats my name.'''' The one that asked then said, ''''Well if Ican move in to install the machine you can tell him where to put it while you sign some papers.'''' Greg then showed the man with the box his bedroom where the pod would be placed. Greg then asked the man, ''''So what are these papers i have to sign?'''' He said, ''''They are waivers saying that if you attempt to tamper or try to reproduce the pod that Planetoid has the right to pursue legal actions against you.'''' Greg warily replied as he was signing them ''''I dont plan on trying to do that anyway too much trouble.'''' The installer chuckled, ''''Well I just finished up i''ll be leaving now.'''' After taking the waivers the man then left the building. Greg fell to his bed and sighed, ''''Guess its time to get this show on the road.'''' He stripped out of his clothes and stepped into the pod and announced excitedly, ''''System start.''''. The pod which was previously dark lit up all around him in a comforting red light and the pod replied, ''''VR pod 2388 v2 launching start up program.'''' After a few minutes the pod called to him, ''''Would you like to begin your game, Conquest?'''' Greg quickly replied ''''Yes please.'''' He was getting nervous because this was his first time in the new VR pods so he didnt know how it would initiate the game. Another minute passed and Greg then felt a Gel-like substance quickly pouring out around him, gently encasing him and as is it went past his head his last thoughts are, ''''Well this was a shitty way to do it.'''' Then he was suddenly in a room containg two chairs and a light in between them. He went forward and sat down in the chair nearest to him. As soon as he had sat down another person appeared in the other chair and said, ''''Hello, I am The Guide and today I shall be helping you through your character creation process.'''' The Guide was a standard looking man with short brown hair and casual clothes on. Greg said ''''What are my options for my character.'''' He asked this because there was no information on the game outside of the pod because Planetoid censored and blocked all content related to new games. The Guide gave a smile and said, ''''Starting off there is are three difficulty settings to choose from; they are Beginner, Standard, and Legacy.'''' He then added, ''''Beginner starts you off with less points for design options but starts the player with easier quests at the start of the game, Standard is a normal difficulty give the standard amount of Design Points, or DP, and the standard difficulty of starting quests, and finally there is Legacy which is amode that is a complete mystery and changes your game experience completely and is not for the faint of heart. Players start with one DP. Players also cannot see stats until they are within the game.'''' Greg then thought to himself,''''Might as well do Legacy mode cause it sounds likea challenge.'''' He then called to The Guide, ''''I pick Legacy mode.'''' The Guide once again gave a smile and said, ''''The next step is what Race you will play as.'''' Greg confusedly asked, ''''There are races other than humans to play as?'''' The Guide happily responded, ''''Yes there are many Races but all but the starting Races must be gained using the Evo System.''''Enjoying the story? The Guide then said, ''''Class Choice arent available in the Character Creation system.'''' He then added, ''''Starting Location, Gear and Relationships are determined by Race Choice.'''' After a while Greg gave up and said, ''''I geuss i''ll be a Centaur then.'''' The Guide amused said ''''Moving on to Perks/Constrictions." Another panel comes up showing Perks and Constictions. The Guide called to Greg, ''''Perks are positive conditions a player may choose based on Race, Constrictions are negativeconditons based on Race. Each Perk costs a consecutive DP, the first is a DP, the next is two and so on, but Constrictions give only one DP each.''''

When Greg came across the Dying Race perk The Guide said, ''''Very few Players have chosen this class so there are a limited number of Npc''s available. No points are given for this Constriction either.'''' Disappointed with this Greg said, ''''Then I use my one DP for Majestic.'''' He thought to himself, ''''Just for laughs.'''' The Guide chuckled and replied, ''''Very well the next step is Character Design.'''' Greg hurried through this feeling like he has wasted alot of time. He chose a brown horse body, with a toned but lithe Human upper body. His sculpted his face into a familiar sight that was his own. He changed his normal dark green eyes to a hazelnut-like color. Then his hair was maid into a long dark mess than went near his shoulders, and the color of it was a light black. Once he had his character made The Guide suddenly said, ''''Congratulations on your character for the game I hope you have a good time.'''' Then everything started fading to black and Greg passed out.

He then added ''''I am Eypos and this is Demonth'''' After he introduced himself he turned and briskly left the tent. ''''Forgive him he has many problems to solve for the tribe.'''' said the aforementioned Demonth. She then asked, ''''Do you truly not know yourself young-one?'''' As he turned to reply he blushed as he noticed she was wearing a leather vest that showed off alot. He nervously asked, ''''No, but do you know who I am?'''' She said, ''''The only thing I know is your name, it is Giwill.'''' He frowned and said, ''''That doesnt sound familiar at all to me.'''' Demonth then turned to leave the tent and said, ''''Come mabye seeing the camp will jog your memory.'''' Thinking that this was a sound idea he made to follow, but then realised he had no clothes on. He called to her, ''''But what about my clothes!'''' She laughed and said ''''There is no shame in a male exposing his body to the camp, it is fine.'''' Quelled by her explanation he walked outside and saw the camp in its full glory. He looked around and saw around a dozen tents that were similar to the one he was in. There were also other centaurs walking around doing chores. Some were returning with berries and plants to eat, and others were a little outside the camp guarding it from attackers. He sighed, ''''None of this looks familiar at all.'''' She smiled sadly, ''''Unfortunately it seems you have amensia of some kind, but mabye in time your memory shall return.'''' All of a sudden a blue screen appeared.

The quest was locked to being taken so our hero grumbled and closed the screen. Another screen then popped up.

This time the menu stayed opened prompting Giwill to say both Status and Inventory causing tow more screens to appear while he groaned at more reading.

AGI:5 Agility is your speed, precision, and sheer skill with some weapons. Useful for nimble weapons. WIS:4 Wisdom affects MP regen, and helps you think of solutions with knowledge you have. INT:4 Intelect is a measure of your knowledge and your learning capability. Useful for Magic. CHA:5 Charisma is a representation of your physical and mental charm that helps in certain situations. Useful for Negotiating. LUK:5 Luck is a stat that is near random and helps with any and everything. Useful for Gambling. FAI:5 Faith is the amount of knowledge of the gods, helps with translating prayers. Useful for Prayer Skills. Stat Points: 0 All stats can be raised through hard work and skill but 5 stat points are awarded every level. Use wisely.

She called to them, ''''Is that the new guy Demonth?'''' Demonth sighed and said, ''''You know it is him Coliton; can I get him a weapon please?'''' Coliton had mahogany colored hair in a pony tail, and she had slightly tanned skin. Once more he blushed at her near lack of clothes but Coliton noticed it right away.Coliton guffawed and said, ''''Well do you got the money to pay for one?'''' Demonth replied, ''''Yes he has 50 gold is there anything he can get for that?'''' Coliton pulled out three different weapons.

Demonth then led him back to the tent he woke up in and gave him the spear. She said, ''''It shall be dusk soon I have duties I must attend to before resting for the night.'''' She added, ''''My tent is near Colitons if you need me just ask for directions from her.'''' He said, ''''I shall see you tomorrow then, farewell.'''' She called over her shoulder, ''''See you tomorrow.'''' He then went inside the tent and laid down on the fur bed while thinking. He eventually fell asleep thinking of talking to Demonth the next day. However things cant start off so peacefull now can it?
Preview of the next Chapter. ''''Cmon boys lets get em while they is asleep'''' one figure said. Twenty or so others behind him sounded their agreement and began charging down the hill. Season 1: Plagued Thoughts Giwill leapt to his feet, well hooves, as he heard a horn being blown nearby. He quickly retrieved his spear and cautiosly went outside the tent. Outside, he saw armored warriors fighting his fellow Centaurs! ''''Die inhuman scum!'''' came from right beside him, and he narrrowly dodged a sword being aimed for his neck. Looking at his new enemy he saw it was a Human with a sword and shield with fairly well-kept armor. Brandishing his spear he tried to stab at the Human only to have it blocked by the shield repeatedly. Then the apparent soldier parried his next thrust and sliced across his chest.

This took Giwill aback and he flinched from the pain of the cut. The human laughed out, ''''Time for you to die scum.'''' Moving in quickly the Human swung once again for his neck but without the spear keeping him from the soldier he couldnt do anything. Then a arrow came from behind him and hit the Human in the chest. It hit directly in a spot that there wasnt too much armor at as well. He quickly drove his spear forward as the soldier was recovering from the arrow in his chest and speared right through the stomach.
Critical (+50% Dmg) Damage Given -50 HP
The Human fell off the the spear on to the ground but not before saying, ''''For the Empire!'''' He then fell to the ground and stopped breathing. Giwill looked around for whoever shot the arrow but no one was behind him. He looked towards the camp and then became outraged at what he saw. There were soldiers about to kill a Centaur child! He bellowed out a shout and charged at them. The first one he speared through his unarmored head, taking it off completely. The other one reared back in fear and fell to the ground slowly trying to back up. Removing the head with a quick flick of his spear he moved towards the other soldier.
Killing Blow (Insta-Kill) Damage given -200 HP
He then rammed the butt of his spear into the soldiers head knocking themout. Giwill then calmed down and looked at the child. She was a smaller Centaur but still bigger than most Human children. He kneeled down and softly said, ''''Are you alright little one?'''' She was in shock or something similar as she was just staring at him but then nodded her head. He then asked, ''''Can you get some rope and tie this one up?'''' She then looked at the Human and looked back and gave a positive sounding noise. She then retreated into the nearby tent and brought out rope which she quickly used to tie the soldiers hands and feet together. She looked at him afterwards and he said, ''''Go hide in the tent, I have to leave to help the othersalright?'''' He then gave her one of the soldiers swords and she smiled at him and trotted into the tent again. Just then a large spout of fire shot up into the air near the outskirts of the camp and as he hurried through he saw about 15 mroe dead soldiers but also one or two Centaurs as well. Feeling despair and anger at this he galloped towards the fire. Getting closer he saw a Human in robes, surrounded by a few soldiers dressed similarly to the others. They were in combat with other Centaurs who kept them in a circle with spears and a few tried to get in a few arrows near the mage but they deflected off of a light blue shield that popped up when a arrow came by. It looked like it took a second for the shield to pop up after an arrow hit it but none of the Centaur archers could hit in that one moment. He observed the combat for a few minutes until he felt a tingling feeling on his skin and he looked at the mage. He had his hand up with the plam facing the Centaurs running circles around them that suddenly spread out. Then in a flash of light a bright ball of fire came out and striked near a Centaur that got caught in the small explosion that burst into existence when the fireball struck the ground. Hearing his fellow Centaur scream in pain he preparedto charge them, but then he remembered the interval between the shield popping up to deflect arrows. He grit his teeth as he focused on what he could do to help. Then he looked at the spear in his hand and came to realisation that he could throw the spear, but that would disarm him. He felt the tingling sensation again and he saw the other Centaurs still shooting while manuevering to dodge the mage''s spells. He waited until one was in the middle of it''s flight and then launched his spear at the mage. It soared through the air making a shrill whistle like noise, and all heads turned to look at it. The mage smiled as he thought it would just deflect off his magic shield. But just before it hit an arrow had hit the barrier a split second before causing it to go down. The mage grimaced as he saw that and turned his head to look at the other projectile. The spear then pierced cleanly through his skull leaving a fist sized hole in the middle of his head. The soldiers looked at him with a growing feeling of despair as they turned back to the Centaurs only to be riddled with arrows all over their bodies.

After the last soldier fell the other Centaurs raised their weapons into the air and roared their victory into the heavens. The lead Centaur, which Giwill noticed was Eypos, trotted to him and said, ''''Well it doesnt seem your so useless after all.'''' He then smiled and said, ''''This one is nowone of us my brothers and sisters!'''' The others gave a roar of agreement as they circled him and praised him for his cunning strategy. Demonth and Coliton were among the crowd and were smiling at him. Eypos then asked him, ''''Did you happen to see a better armored soldier among the fools?'''' Giwill said, ''''Yes, he was one of the first ones I killed before coming over here, and I also knocked one out.'''' Eypos nodded at this and said, ''''We will interrogate that one to see why they attacked us.'''' he then added, ''''These are soldiers from the ''Holy'' Empire of Thalmos, but I cant understand why they came after us as they are always moving.'''' Giwill grimly asked, ''''Perhaps this wasnt the main force of the army?'''' Eypos grimaced and said, ''''That could very well be the reason, but we must move past this for now and celebrate our victory and mourn the dead.'''' After this the other Centaurs trotted away to clean up the remnants of the battle. Then a multitude of those screens came up again.

As he read this he was warryof the fact that he hadnt received Exp for both quests as he hadnt leveled up yet. As if prompted by this thought another menu opened up.
Tutorial: Exp Exp or Experience points are only rewarded upon killing enemies or finishing a product for crafting. Exp from enemies is based on their LVL. A level 5 enemy would give 50 Exp while a level 1 enemy would give 10 Exp. A Level''s Exp requirements increase by the previous Exp requirement plus half the base value of the previous requirement. (So if level 1 takes 100 Exp, then level two will take 250 Exp) Also loot gained from enemies is auto-looted and what is gained is shown in a Battle Report Screen, and anything unusable by your race is converted to Gold. (BRS is how it shall be reffered as.)

Conquered Foes Tutorial Enemys captured in battle can be dealt with in 3 ways. Option 1: Become Servant, enemies dealt with this way become your Servantbecoming you property that you can manage as you want. Option 2: Rule them (only peasants), Rule over peasants as a Noble of some sort. Option 3: Sell, Sell any captured enemies you dont want. For the sake of the Tutorial you must take this Enemy into Servitude, Have Fun!

He put two points into INT and VIG and one point into LUK, thinking that having more plans and health would help and that being lucky would be a good help. He noticed that his CHA, INT, and AGI all increased by one so that must be because of what he did in the earlier fights. He then opened his inventory to check the other items he had gotten from the quests were.

Once again unable to choose ''No'' Giwill pressed ''Yes'', and went to find wherever the other Centaurs took the Human he captured so they didnt kill them. Season 1: Sanctuary (Unknown Pov) ''''Get one of the scout groups to find out where they went then!'''' a calm, but angry voice demanded. ''''If I dont have them within the next 24 hours then you all will be the ones getting killed!'''' the voice called out to the remaining officers around the table. Taking that as their dismissal the officers quickly left for fear being yelled at more. ''''He''s such a dick isnt he?'''' said one of the officers. Another said, ''''Shut up he can probably still hear you!'''' Then a lazy soundingvoice called to them both, ''''Quit your bitchin'' the general knows what he''s doin'' so dont complain.'''' All of the officers turned to look at the other person only to be taken aback when they saw who it was. ''''Isnt that the new he-'''' one started to say before he was cut off. ''''Yeah Yeah im the newest of those people but keep it quiet or you wont like the consequences.'''' He grinned as they quickly backed away from him. He went outside and saw that Demonth was approaching his tent. He waved to her and she smiled and waved back. When she got to him she said, ''''Eypos wants to talk to you about what we will do now.'''' He grimly thought back to the new quest he got. He then replied, ''''Well lets go see what we can do then.'''' Demonth nodded and they made their way to the main tent. As they were walking he thought to the Human he had captured. She had given up what she knew but it wasnt too much information they could use. Eypos also said he would have to pick her up since she was his slave. Before he knew it they were at the main tent which they then entered. Inside there was Eypos as he expected but there were also some older looking centaurs which he guessed were the elders of the tribe. Eypos called, ''''Finally now we can start this meeting.'''' The two of them went towards the table. Eypos said, ''''This meeting is about the threat of the Anti-Demihuman army that is close by.'''' The others frowned at this new information but kept quiet. Eypos answered, ''''According to the Human we captured they are about two days away towards the west.'''' The others grimly nodded at this information. Another of the elders then said, ''''I suppose we shall vote on this then?'''' Eypos nodded at this and said, ''''All in favor of running raise your hands and those in favor of fighting keep yours down.'''' It was an even split with 6 wanting to fight and 6 wanting to run but Giwill hadnt voted yet.This story originates from a different website. She said, ''''I am Sandeth, please take care of me master.'''' She bowed as she said this showing off ample amounts of cleavage in the process making him blush as he looked away. He said, ''''Okay we need to pack up so help me with that.'''' She nodded and went inside to gather anything small to place into a pack that would be easier to carry. He also went about packing things up and soon enough they had packed the tent up into a relatively light bundle that would be easy for Giwill to carry and a smaller pack for Sandeth. As they were packing up the last of the things in the tent he took a look at her. She had light olive skin and was somewhat short but made up for it in muscle as he could see by her toned body. Her hair was a light mahogany color and was in a pony tail. She had barely any clothes on as she had a tight shirt and boxer-like shorts. She caught him checking her out and said, ''''Like what you see master?'''' He blushed and looked away and she laughed aloud. He said, ''''I suppose its time to leave with the rest of the camp.''''
