《Beyond life》 prologue Prologue: I remembered all those times when I was 10 sitting behind my dads computer playing game like world of Warcraft or league of legends. It was the greatest years of my childhood and my fondest memories. I met some of my best friends from online games like that but its all going to change now that quad-gaming company is releasing the newest project. Brandon and I were sitting watching some tv after a gaming marathon when our programme went on adds, that the first time we got to see what our future jobs were going to be. It was an ad of quad-gaming newest game, the all immersive VR game beyond life. we saw some game footige of a elf walking through the forest when he is suddenly attacked by a wolf that¡¯s the size of a cow with deep red eyes and fangs bigger than the elf¡¯s face. The elf startled takes out a staff and starts to cast his magic, he casts the most common spell, fireball. Suddenly from no where a human comes out of no where and starts attacking the wolf from behind. We looked at the add with glazed eyes, captivated by the beauty of the game. We get up and phone our friends to get the game and the needed head sets or capsules.This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. We all sitting around a table talking about the game when we start talking about making decsions on how we want to play this and what type of classes. We are planning on doing exptended game play which lasts a week before we have to get out of the capsule. We will always have people monatering us. Our game play will be streamed after a week of play and it will be broadcast on supersport or twitch. Any money made from our live streams will be split 80% to 20% majority to us. The company that created the game has a certain amount of capsules. After 3 days waiting we appear at the companies premises to see the place packed. We sit in the waiting room waiting for our names to be called for us to be taken to our living quarters and capsules. After 2 hours of waiting we hear our names being called and we follow the attendant to the location of our quarters. The quarters consist of a kitchen that¡¯s not to big and and a living room with a tv. There are 4 rooms opposite each other along the hall way where our rooms and capsules are. Listening to the attendant we figure out how to enter the capsules and await for the game to start¡­ chapter 1: character creation I walk into my room and look at the capsule, it is a long bed with a metal oval cover over the bed, it has tubes and wires hanging from the side of it. I walk over and lay on the bed waiting to enter the game. Before I enter I feel a prick in my arm and neck. I guess that the one is to connect me to the game and the other to make sure I have nutrients in my body so I don¡¯t die of hunger. I wait and see a count down on the roof of the capsule. 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, my vision goes black, when I open my eyes I see a white room, I move around for a bit to get used to the feeling of the VR. After adjusting a AI appears. Dear player, welcome to the first full immersive VR game in the world. Before we get to character creation pleases could you choose a name? I think for a while before deciding on my gaming name iv been using for all my life. please can you make the name Revie. Revie is available. Now to get to character creation, you can choose between 5 races that inhabit the world of beyond life. these races are elves, humans, demons and beast-men Please can you give a detailed rundown of all races with traits?
Elves: this races is the oldest race that is descendants of the fae, the are known for their magic and are a race that lives the longest. Elves are the best magician¡¯s with strong affinity for light, nature and other positive magic¡¯s. Elves are not the best for melee classes but do make decent ones. If playing a magic class +5 to intellect and wisdom Humans: humans are among the most common of races, they excel at all fields of classes but do not specialize in any of them. If playing mage +2 to intellect and wisdom If playing melee tank +2 to constitution and strength If playing melee dps + 2 to strength and agiltyThis story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it Demons: this race is evil and are the most hated of all races, if played you will be hated by other races. Demons are ferocious creates and excel at melee combat. If played as melee +3 to constitution, strength and agility. Beast-men: this race is humaniod in shape but have animal tails and ears. The excel at dps melee classes and have a high agility. If played as dps melee +4 to agility and strength.
I looked at the AI and chose my race, please can I have the human race. Next please choose and basic class to start off your game, when you get to level 10 you will be able to upgrade this class to a specialised class. Remember there are hidden classes if you get certain achievements. The basic classes are as follows: assassin, warrior, cleric, mage, druid, berserker. Please choose a class! I turned to the AI and asked please can you give a break down on all the classes? A blue screen popped up infront of me giving a brief explanation on each class
Assassin: this class lives in the shadows and attacks when least expected. They use leather armour and two daggers. All spells are melee and they are a dps class only. Assassins are very weak early game but have great mobility and escape. There health is low but damage is the highest of all melee and agility of all classes. Warrior: this class is an in your face class. They use no tricks just brute strength to defeat there opponents. Warriors can be played as dps or tank and have high health and constitution. Warriors wear plate or mail and their weapon are either a sword and shield or a 2 handed sword. Mage: mages wield the elements to do their damage and have a high magic dps count of all classes. This class wears cloth amour and there weapons are staffs or wands. This class has the lowest constitution and agility. The are a ranged dps Cleric: this is the healer class. They specialise in healing and holy damage to clear mobs. This class wears cloth amour and there weapons are staffs or wands. Low constitution and agility. Ranged healer of dps Druid: natures chosen, druids wield the forces of nature to do damage and often times heal. They wear leather and their weapons are either staffs or wands. Berserker: this class is wild they sacrifice HP to do damage to there opponents and with every successful kill they go into a frenzy allowing them to do more damage. They have minimal healing spells. They wear plate or mail and use all types of 2 handed weapons.
I looked through all the classes and decided on the assassin class because of the stealth and high damage. Once all that was done the fairy looked at me and said that she will transport me to a starter town where I will complete quests and beginner dungeons before I reach level 10. After reaching level 10 I will be ported out of the starter town to a village where the main game world starts. chapter 2: game world I suddenly feel my vision blur and start to see all the colours of the rainbow blow past me. when I come to im lying on the ground. I sit up and look at my interface. My heath and mana bar are on the top felt hand side. I call down the interface to see my stats, gear and spells.

Unspent points 10! I look at my overall stats and see that they are standard. I put 3 into agility and 2 into strength. Next I look at look at my gear it seems to be standard items such as leather chest, feet, hands, back, head, belt, shoulder, earrings, weapons. The gear is standard with me just having a chest, feet, hands, pants, and 2 daggers. They give only 10 amour with no extra attributes. My daggers do between 10-12 damage with an attack speed of 20%. I look at my spell book and see that I only have 2 spells. One passive and one active. The passive spell Is called daggers mastery and this is because my only weapon is daggers. My active spell is a dagger attack called back stab and is a high damage spell that can only be use behind the target. Once iv gone through all my items, spells and stats I look at my friends list and add all the friends that are forming a party with me. I have 3 other friends that joined me in the game and we decided on what our names will be before we got in game. I add braxeus, skye and sage to my friends list. We luckily all spawned in the same starter village so we I added them to a party and we found each other pretty quickly. Before we started to level I wanted to found out what classes and what spells they have. Ay brax, before we start questing can we talk about our spells and classes so we know what formation and set up to go with, ill start. Im an assassin. I have 2 spells ones a passive and another is an active. My passive is dagger mastery and my active is backstab, i have to be behind the target to use it. Next? I saidStolen story; please report. Okay guys im a mage, I chose the race elves because of there passive ability. I have 1 active spell which is called arcane bolt. It has a charge time of 2 seconds and does moderate damage. No passive because I only choose my element when im level 10. Said brax We looked at skye to see what she will say. She turns to us and says, I chose the druid and chose the race elf as well. I have one spell at the moment and it is natures vines. The spell shoots up from the ground and strangles the target doing moderate damage and cc¡¯s the target. I have a passive called natures chosen because im a druid and it increases all damage down by nature by 5%. Devin goes next and explains that he chose a warrior demon. He has one spell called slash that slashes the target and causes a bleed. He has passive of a sword because he starts with it. We all see that all our spells are level 1 because we haven used them We decide on the formation, I will be scout and scout for monsters while devin will be tank and keep all the aggro. Skye will heal and cc while brax will be ranged dps. We decide to go to the first quest giver and listen to the intro of the game now that that¡¯s all sorted out. We see the town chief with the usual yellow question mark on his head singling he¡¯s offering a quest. I walk up to the chief and say.¡± Good morning chief, im Revie and I was wondering if you have any tasks for us new adventures.¡± He looked at us and starts talking,¡± hello my name is chief swan and iv seen so many adventures today, I normally go into a narration on how the game works but most don¡¯t even listen and just wat to start killing things, so ill cut this short. I interrupt the chief,¡± chief we are in no rush please explain the game to use we are more than welcome to listen¡±. If you insist, this world is filled with magic and wonder, we have 2 contents on this planet and they are separated by the sea. The first on is the beginner content where you level from 10 to 50. This is the intro faze of the game where you only kill beasts and magical beasts. Once you leave the first content you will come the the kingdom of vlagar. This is where we start the real quests and raids. The difficulty will be upped. At level 10 you will leave the starting location and go to the main contents where you will appear in the kingdom of stormshadow. There you will have to find the class trainers and pick your specialisation for your respective class. I wont get into the different specialisations. While in the starter village you can pick a crafting profession, there are 4 types of professions. You have tailoring, blacksmithing, leather working and alchemy. You may only choose one profession and have a sup profession for that profession eg, leather working comes with skinning and blacksmithing comes with mining. Every gear is separated into different rarities, they go from white, silver, gold, purple and lastly orange. Class monsters and the same. You get normal mobs and elite mobs in the wilderness while dungeons have all elites and the bosses are lord mobs. In raids normal mobs are lord mobs while the bosses range from lord elites to king mobs. That is my introduction the to game. Since you have been so patient I will give you extra rewards.

The grind begins!! I looked into my inventory at the new dagger I got to check the stats that it has, it wasn¡¯t to bad for a starter weapon, its base damage was gave me 3 more damage than my two other daggers. I switched my main hand dagger with the new one before asking the chief of the village for directions to any quests that the towns people might have. The chief pointed us in the direction of the blacksmith of the town and the alchemist. Getting to the alchemists shop which had a sign saying johns alchemy, we walked through the door into the shop. The alchemist was a old looking man with a long grey beard like gandolf the grey but without that wizard hat. Walking up to the front decks i start to ask the alchemist if he had any quests for us. He turned to us and said,¡± welcome adventures, I have been running low on a few products to continue with my research on a new alchemy recipe, if you would be willing, I would like it if you went into the forest on the east side of the village to get me some of the things I need.
Quest!! Alchemy ingredients The alchemist needs you to get him things for his alchemy. 100 greenleaf 100 wolfs blood 100 redblood fruit Reward: 5 health potions, 2 mana potions, 100 experience. Accept?
After the group accepted the quest we ran to the blacksmith that was down the road from the alchemist. Walking into the forge area we saw a whole bunch of weapon racks with all sorts of weapons. We saw a man hammering a unfinished sword on his anvil with sweat dripping down his bear buffy chest. Every time he hit the metal he would grunt, it was quite the sight to see. Waiting for the blacksmith to finish we decided that we were going to save up money for new weapon from the smith. The black smith shoved the red glowing metal into a barrel of water after hitting it a couple of 100 times. He turned to us as said,¡¯ thank you for waiting for me to finish with that, if I was interrupted the blade would have been ruined, now what can I help you with adventures?¡±If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it. I asked the blacksmith if he had any tasks that we could help him with. He looked at us and decided that he did. He was short on a few ingredients that he needed for his weapons.
Quest!!! The blacksmith of the starter town is in need for ingredients for his weapons. Collect 200 copper ore Collect 100 iron ore Kill 200 wolves for their nails Kill 200 bears for their teeth Reward: any weapon of your choice, 100 exp , 10 copper
After walking into the forest we locate the quest grounds for the 2 quests. We spot a group of wolves staking a boar, we decide that this will be our first test. Sage charges at the group to pull the aggro while I walk around to get behind the wolves. Brandon starts to fire off his arcane bolts at the closest wolf while skye uses her natures vines to lock a wolf in place so not to many of them are hitting the tank sage. I stealthily walk up to the cc¡¯ed wolf and backstab it, I deal a crit taking the wolf down 10% hp. I use my to daggers in quick succession to bring the wolf¡¯s health down. Sage is tanking the 3 of the 4 wolves. His hp goes down 40% and is struggling to stay alive. Quickly after iv killed the wolf that was cc¡¯ed I go to the next wolf and do the same thing as the first. However my backstab didn¡¯t crit and it takes longer me to kill it. Brax throws arcane bolt after arcane blot, killing the 3 last wolf. Skye, ccs another wolf while sage walks back so he only has to tank the last wolf and doesn¡¯t take as much damage. After brax and myself kill our wolves we go to the last one and together the 3 of us kill it together. The wolves drop a total of 4 claws and 6 teeth. This carries on for the remainder of the quest until we have finished with the 2 parts of the respective quests. While we have been farming the wolves we have collected the Greenleaf and blood leaf. The problem came when we had to kill the bears. We were busy killing a level 5 bear when a elite bear stumbles upon us. Sage is down to about 70% hp and brax only has 60% mana. We quickly finish of the bear while skye cc¡¯s the elite. Once its dead we all attack the elite but it is harder than the normal mobs by far. i go behind the elite and backstab earning my self a crit. The boss has 1200hp compared to the normal bears 200 hundred. We start attacking the bear getting it down to 75% when it uses and special ability that allows it to charge at a random target doing 100 damage. The target it chose was our druid skye that was behind sage. Skye now having 20% hp roots the bear and runs awhile while sage retakes aggro. Brax am myself start attacking it again . the fight took 10 minutes with brax a almost dying for a charge at 25%. After we killed the bear it dropped leather pair of boots and 30 teeth. Completing our quests. Skye and myself decide to roll on the boots. She rolled a 65 out of a hundred while I rolled a 72. I check the stats of the boots.
