《Rain, Tempest, And Thunder: A History of the Grail Wars》 First Arc: Thesis Est Pavillion Part One What is a multiverse? A multiverse is a term used for what can be an infinite number of worlds that host all possible realities. This can be as simple as choosing left instead of right. But with it hosting all possible realities, the straying can be quite different from one another. A good example is a world in which the others were simply works of fiction. They could even interact with them on the belief it all wasn''t real. This is the story of one such world. In this world, the people became like gods. In a world where people can interact with the energies of the multiverse, there will be chaos when conflict arises. Such a day it was when the thirty-second world war hit. After countless years, war became much more simple and people''s inhibitions to it lessened. This led to the sky becoming dark and red in all times of the day. The clouds may have become thin, but that was below people who could fly if they so wished. At the wide field of dirt that was Rusty Vills, the leaders of the seven nations stood at attention in a circle. Their armies waiting patiently behind them at attention from the ground to the sky. All watched what appeared to be a man in his early sixties standing in the center. Combing his still brown beard, he watched the seven armies with crescents for eyes. With a clear of his throat, the man began to speak. "32 world wars, 32,722 wars, and an untold number of scuffles. All of this, and we still haven''t finished fighting. Sounds like a rather fulfilling history of man, isn''t that right?"If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. With a grandiose spin, he looked expectingly at his audience. None looked like they were in the mood to answer. With a pout, the man continued. "Why not end this? Let''s try a more civil and less bloody way to end things." "What do you propose, God-kin?" one of the seven leaders asked. He was a tall thin man with spiked green hair. "I was reading a novel in the Library," the man explained. The leaders all began to groan. The God-kin, the most powerful man in the world has a tendency for reading in the Great Library their race had. While there was countless pieces of works stockpiled over their history, a good many of them were just fiction. "In it, the most powerful men of their world fought for a wish granting device known as the Holy Grail. In it, seven masters summoned seven servants to fight it out for the grail. The last master and servant standing would be the winner of the grail." "And who would be the fighters in this so could Grail war?" another one of the leaders asked, this one a potbelly bald man. The speaker smiled. Looks like people were willing to accept his idea, so there was hope. "In it, the main fighters were the servants summoned by the grail. Each one were the souls of legendary figures from history given form. So why not do the same?" A leader with long golden hair then asked, "No one is noteworthy enough to make a mark. So who do we summon?" "This is based on fiction, so why not use fictional figures to fight?" was the answer. All of the leaders turned to each other before turning to their men. Before long, everyone gave their consent. The speaker grinned before lifting himself in the air and declaring to the crowd. "Then the Grail war will commence in 100 days from now. Each side, prepare your representatives while I prepare your servants. See you then." The man flew away to the distant sky as the shadow of a large tower became increasingly visible. Among the seven armies, a young man in his twenties watched with a stern expression. First Arc: Thesis Est Pavillion Part Two A week later. Inside a barely lit room, a sigh can be heard. A tall, built young man can be seen loosening his tie and changing out of his shirt. "Finally home!" he complained. "It wasn''t even that long but it felt like an eternity. Good thing the god-kin showed up at the end or else we would be there forever." When the old man known as the god-kin, or the most powerful man in this world, had shown up at the battlegrounds of the seven armies they had been fighting for several months straight non-stop. To the average man of other realities this may be an impossible thing to occur but to this world stamina is just one of the things that they have no limits to. This young man''s name is Thesis. In the battle that occured up to the god-kin''s intervention, he was just one of many that were a part of the battlefield. He belonged to the Sendibar Nation and as one of the Pavillions he was required to join in nearly every campaign as a role model. His father himself was on the frontlines as a commander. It can be guessed how well trained his father was for lasting such a long time at the front without losing his life. After the god-kin said his piece, the seven armies began their march to their respective nations and prepared for the "Grail war" to come. Upon arriving home, Thesis first thought was of a bath and a nice long rest but reality said otherwise. At the same time Thesis was at home, his father was in a meeting with the Serpent. In the Sendibar Nation, their leading military commander would have the title of Serpent so this meeting will haveto do with the Grail War. In between the two leaders was a large desk with piles of see-through papers lying around. All of which pertaining to a different story, with wargames like the ''Holy Grail War'' being involved. This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it. "According to the information my assistants found," the Serpent explained. "Battles like these will not be occuring just once. It will be a long drawn out process that happens in a location, most likely of the god-kin''s making. It can take anywhere from a few days to several months. As such, firepower isn''t the most important factor in deciding who will be our representative. "The first thing to be concerned with is survivability. The pick has to be tenacious, stubborn, and smart. A hothead won''t do or else they''ll be eliminated early. Scouting ability is a must, to avoid traps and provide shelter. Other nations will probably also pick survivability so the pick must also be capable of eliminating enemies given the chance. "We also need to be concerned with compatibility between servant and master. It has been said in the files I recieved that some teams in similar grail wars have disbanded or lost due to the servant and master clashing with each other. So not only we need people skills but also someone young enough to cooperate. This is a bother." The Serpent sighed. Mr. Pavillion gave his input, "That is why I say Thesis should be our representative. He is young, has experience, and is a capable member of the Pavillion household. We have served our nation dutifully over it''s long reign so I know he will do us proud." "Can you be sure of that?" the Serpent countered. "Knowing the god-kin, he will incorporate his own version of the holy grail with it''s own ''wish''. If the ''wish'' lands in the hands of the winner, then he can do whatever he wishes with it. So not only do we have to worry about what the other nations will do if they win, we have to worry about what your son would do with it if he wins." "As his father, I know what''s best for him so he would not challenge me on what is right for the nation!" Mr. Pavillion roared in outrage. The two came to a standstill with silence filling the air. This lasted for several moments before they both exhaled and sat down. The Serpent sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Fine. I agree. Inform young Thesis of his assignment." Mr. Pavillion got up and gave a 1, 2, 3, finger salute before punding his chest and leaving the room.
