I never used Fortitude since I never got the chance to use it, to think of it, tonight is going to be our first experience in real life and death battle.
''Pic you bastard.'' I cursed as my Night Stealth was deactivated as well. Nowthat we are seen, we can no longer ambush and surprise our enemies.
Jule and Nic were forced to appear as well. They did not say anything and just accepted the fact that Picwill eventually mess up in this operation.
Nic used his own buff skill called "GUARD" to assist Pic and an illusionary shield appeared and rotated around Pic''s body.
Then I heard Pic shout.
"FIG! WE CAME HERE TO SAVE YOU!".
Cleansing 16 : Our Situation
''SHIT'' instead of being touched by their timely arrival. I was feeling a different feeling.
With 5 of us being here the chances of safely escaping would be lower.
''Don''t shout you pig head!'' I cursed Pic inside my mind as I see them mowing their way towards me.
"HAHAHA"
The dumb Goblin Chief began to laugh. He looked at me with eyes of amusement.
"My Priestess, allow me to offer all of these creatures to the Forest God."
The Goblin Priestess did not say a thing and was already tired of this nonsense. She looked at me for the last time then went outside the tent.
(Moments before the explosion)
When the Scout Goblins returned with a prisoner. It sparked my curiosity, I thought that it was just a normal animal that our Holiness keeps and protects, with the body structure of the said creature that they brought, the possibility of it being an enlightened is low.
But I was naive, ever since that ''event'' the forest has changed. Not only does the creature enlightened he can also speak the old tongue much to my surprise when a fellow goblin reported.
Since the first goblins roamed around this world, there was only a little amount of enlightened race that lives around the Iaoue Continent, this information came from the Annals that our tribe passes on each generation. The knowledge left behind by the ancestors in the mainland are scattered all over the world and no goblin can obtain all those knowledge within its lifespan.
Though the goblins are not the eldest enlightened, we still lived for hundreds of years. Us being the descendants of Greenskin Monsters who feed indiscriminately was punished by the God of Forest and was turned into a weaker and smaller green creature who is never allowed to kill for food.
During the process of planting the Forest God''s Stigma, the other Gods interfered and destroyed the process of applying the Forest Gods Stigma and instead changed it into their own Stigma. This event caused different kinds of Greenskin Monsters and thus later on categorized as ''Goblin Kind''.
Those who received the stigma of the Forest God are known as Forest Goblins. We the forest goblins are not allowed to kill for the purpose of eating. We can only live by eating plant produce or already dead creatures. Though they are not allowed to kill for food, killing for the sake of protection and for a cause is a different story. That rule was left behind by the Forest God after the punishment.
In the annals of our ancestors, those who break this rule will mysteriously disappear and was taught to be eaten by the ground. The tree roots that rest underground are the main suspects for this mysterious incidents as they are the Forest God''s hands and feet.
That fellow does not provide a patron aura, making me think that he is an unaffiliated individual without a horde and a God. The enlightenedprisoner was being dragged towards the Chief''s tent but I ordered a goblin to intercept that and instead placeitinside the Shrine. I want to ask him some question and maybe I can make him my mount and ride him, wouldn''t that be cool?
I continued to engrave symbols in my tooth necklace, this necklace signifies my authenticity as a Shaman of the Bor''Bor Tribe.
Our current tribe is a branch of the Bor''Bor Forest Goblins in this part of the Forest.
Our Chief, the son of Bor''Bor was assigned to protect this area of the forest against those disgusting Humans who always destroy the forest and its inhabitants.
Though that was the order of the Great Patriarch most goblinbelieves that there was another reason for the branch creation and speculations are that this particular son of Bor''Bor is a great troublemaker. This particular son of Bor''Bor did not disobey or break any law. But his violent personality really made the Chief makecertain measures for the safety of the Tribe and avoid a future catastrophe that might be caused by this son of his.
The mission of protecting this part of the forest is only a facade made by the Great Patriarch for his son. The establishment of a branch here is actually a type of banishment and also a trial that will be considered as training and preparation for his son. I was assigned here to assist this branch and allow newly born goblins to know the greatness of the Forest God and the responsibilities of being a part of the Bor''Bor Tribe.
As I was fidgeting around my tooth accessories, a loud explosion can be heard from the location of the newly built Shrine. I ran as fast as I could towards the Shrine, many goblins came along as they saw me going towards the direction of the loud sound.
As I opened the tent, I saw a huge hole in the wall, the Chief, and the prisoner creature. I asked for the cause of the commotion and when I was informed I slapped the stupid Chief, the guy actually dared to damage the Shrine.
I used my rare inborn skill towards the enlightenedwhich is called...

This guy seems to be called as Fig, a member of the Spear-Tailed Hogs.
''Oh,'' I exclaimed as I saw his skills, he also got the same skill as me. Though this guy is low leveled, he sure has potential. As I read more details, my brow started to curl. PREDATOR ALLIANCE. That word started to make my blood boil. All the thoughts of keeping this guy as a mount was lost.
"You, state your purpose," I saidin a cold and intimidating voice.
He explained in a very gentle and apologetic manner.
''Heh, as if I will believe a word that came from a predator''s mouth,'' I think inwardly as I nodded to him as if I am acknowledging his nonsense.
"I see, I ordered my kind to place you inside the shrine so the Forest God will guide your path but it seems like you''re no longer a lonely soul that''s lost in this vast forest but a part of another horde who recently made a commitment and signed a pact with aPredator God!"
Since I wasted so much time, and this thing here is of no use to me, I might as well leave and let the Chief decide what to do with this vermin.
As I was about to leave the tent, I heard someone shouting Gibberish.
"SNOR-TOOINK, GRRRRGGG, BLUUUEERGHH!!!!!!"
Cleansing 17 : Our Teamwork
Being surrounded by these bunch of bipedal creatures, my self-confidence dropped. There are just way too many of them and fleeing from here is going to be harder. We need to break this encirclement and breakthrough to reach Fig.
When I look at the building in front of us, I can see Fig being stepped on, the negative feeling was slowly dropping and a strong sense of anger came as I look at the perpetrator''s smirking face.
An enemy launched his body up into the air and aimed his club at my head. Before he could hit me, I activated impale skill and aim at his stomach. The enemy was impaled as I swing him still afloat to a nearby enemy as they collided with each other. Another enemy rushed towards me, I as well charged towards him. Since my height is shorter, I gave my limbs a burst and rushed towards him hitting his lower limbs while receiving a club on my back at the same time.

I ignored the notification and pain in my back as I mowed the enemy, I used his body that is still hanging on my back as a shield to move forwards, this guy seems to be knocked out. The fallen enemies I left behind was pierced by Jule, she aimed at their necks killing them on the spot.
''What a scary sow'' I thought as I halted my steps.
Nic is still acting as a rear guard and uses PROVOKE towards those who aimed at Jule, this guy knows how to control the crowd even as a beginner, he did that all while snickering.
Pic, on the other hand, was sober after shouting those oh so worrisome words. He received Nic''sGUARD buffand was able to take some hits but the skill was broken after absorbing the capacity. He turned back and run towards our direction as some goblins followed his track. He opened his storage and dropped some things. He did not look back and continued to run towards us.
The enemies that are following Pic stilled as they started to hold their legs, it seems like they are in pain. They started to fall and roll on the ground as they withered and turned into ash.
''Pic where did you get those scary flowers? don''t put them into your storage, you dunce!''
I think inwardly as I looked at those scary flowers, POY-SON that is the name that Fig warn us to never approach. That bastard Pic actually got his hands on those scary flowers.Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation.
''This daredevil what if you accidentally touch those?''
I really can''t get how this pig''s brain work but worrying about that right now is really inappropriate. So I met with Pic half way and the 4 of us are now gathered and formed into a cross. Me at the front, Nic at the back, Jule and Pic on both flanks. As we continued to push our way towards the building.
The Goblin Chief moved his feet away, he went to the Hole in the Wall and looked at the transpiring battle. He turned his head and looked at me while saying...
"You''re in luck kid, those Goblins are settler Goblins and they are weak. If you meet our Soldier Goblins then those friends of yours would be annihilated within seconds".
I did not respond, but this guy seems to be telling the truth. We really do not have a chance in fighting these guys not only are we outnumbered we also lack experience. The best way is to flee away from here.
I looked around the area as I stand, the Goblin Chief is looking down on us and doesn''t really see us as a threat. He thinks that he can kill all of us anytime if he wanted to. He went closer towards the rescue group.
''What an arrogant guy,'' well that works for us though.
I moved closer towards the center of the Shrine. The firewas burning, ever since the hole in the wall was created, thefireburned stronger for some reasons.
''I will make you regret you dumb Goblin Chief.'' I thought as came in front of the bonfire.
''Though we may be weak for now... the possibility of getting stronger EXISTS!''
A fiery feeling burned inside my heart as I whip my tail towards the burning bonfire, the assembled wood scattered as the Shrine slowly lost its source of light. The moment the darkness invaded inside, I activated my newly acquired night stealth skill as I run towards the tent''s entrance. I made sure not to bump any random goblin on the way.
I moved faster than I remember, as I made a curve line going towards the nearest torch, these goblin guys sure have many ways to make light. I extinguished the torch by flicking my tail and making it fall to the ground as it lost its light. The goblins inside the Shrine made a ruckus but, their response was slow and it made me extinguish more torch that surrounds the Shrine as I went closer towards the rescue team.
The Goblin Chief noticed what I''m doing and started to activate another cannon burst skill and from the looks of it, his skill was aimed at the rescue team.
''OH SHIT'' I thought inwardly as I shouted towards the rescue team.
"CHIEF AIM FOR THOSE MINIATURE SUNS. EMBRACE THE DARKNESS THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO VICTORY!"
After hearing my words, the team scattered into different directions, it seems that they get my message. The scene where the light near the Shrine disappeared attracted the attention of the goblins allowing Chief and the team to move along the crowd of goblins as they activated their night stealth skill.
''May the Goddess of the Moon guide us'' without me noticing, I started to place my worries towards this Goddess that I never met before, as if it is the mostnatural thing to do.
The Goblin Chief who saw the group fleeing in different directions, lost his target forcing him to shoot the skill towards the sky.
The skill erupted as pure mana emitted a ''booming sound'' accompanied with a flash of blue light momentarily illuminating the area.
After that explosion, another loud sound was emitted.
"CHAAAAAAAAAASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Cleansing 18 : Our Battle
Two days have passed since that night.
The Chief and the team, suffered different kinds of injuries as they escaped for their lives, though there were no major ones, the trauma of being chased that night can never be laughed at. We not only need to be fast but we also need to avoid making traces in order for us to not lead the enemy towards our horde.
The Chief might not be that smart but when the time needed it, he can be very dependable. He ordered the group to scatter and run in different locations to divide the enemy forces when they chase us, not only did he made the right choice, he was clear headed enough to command not to leave traces. It may be his instincts telling him but that was still very commendable.
Though we did our best, the enemy still located our camp. But we already anticipated the fact that they can track us down and it is only a matter of time. They were quite fast since our camp and theirs are not that far, to begin with. At least we were given two days to prepare.
The Chief and the team had already recovered, so did I.
After the horde was alerted about the impending crisis. They were not scared, but they wanted to fight it out with these new enemies.
''What simpletons, they never saw the enemies might.'' is what I thought.
But I can never voice that out since I am the cause of this trouble at the first place.
Although I can defend my self by saying...
''discovering those goblins early on can avoid greater crisis''
It would still not change the fact that I attracted trouble, so It is better to just shut my mouth and think of solving the current problem.
The Chief and I told them to pack things up and we should start leaving. If the enemy chases us, we can slowly eliminate and hunt them at night and we can run during the day. This would probably be the correct choice of action.
But the horde was already attached to this place and was reluctant to leave.
All the efforts in making this camp were done by the horde and they really want to test it out. They also want to test their strength and the only way to do that is to fight.
So the final decision was to fight it out. If the tide of the battle will be in our favor, then we will stay. But I really lack confidence about this, so we made sure to make an escape route or two.
Running would be the wisest decision in my opinion. The horde is just way too weak.
At that night of our great escape, I realized something and that is...
''The world is big and we are too weak''.
If we want to live then we must obtain strength, and in order to get that strength as fast as possible, we need to kill.
We need to steel our hearts and view every being that we encounter as our enemy.
As for why, at the Goblin Camp, when the Chief and the team tried to rescue me. They defeated some of those goblins. They not only increased the efficiency of their skills but they also obtained levels from it. Especially Jule.
Jule got a ''Title'' and as well as 5 levels.
Based on that, killing is the best way for getting stronger. Though as Hogs, we are not meant to hunt and kill creatures. When you think about it, we ate worms, and those worms are considered as creatures. So the only factor is the creature''s size.
Before the blessing of the goddess. The thought of hunting and killing creatures of our size are non-existent. It may be our lack of confidence or our lack of thirst for blood or maybe it is just our nature since we are not really natural born predators, to begin with.
But right now, the feeling that seeks for blood and flesh is circulating within our beings. The hogs who are creatures who thought that they are fine with starbagges and rootworms for the rest of their lives are now emitting a strong bloodthirst.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road.
Even the Chief can be seen with red-eyes and veins popping on his face.
These two days, the Hogs were becoming hungrier and more aggressive, that they started uprooting trees since they could no longer be satisfied with just 3 or 5 worms. The trees that near our camp have been uprooted out of the soil and are now laying on the ground. The hogs during the second night upon receiving the blessing of the goddess started to hunt small creatures for food. They did not bite those poor small creatures. Instead, they impale them and they directly place said creatures inside their mouths and started chewing the fur, flesh, bones, and blood altogether inside their mouths. The hogs later discovered that by doing so, their hunger could be satiated and those small creatures were tastier than those worms and starbagges
Though I believe that those small creatures tried to communicate with their predator, not all Hogs can communicate with other races. To think of it, I am the weird one for trying to do that in the first place, that Cat was right, why would you bother talking to your prey when you will eat them and be done with it in the first place.
Me accidentally hearing the Cat talking to himself at that time was considered a blessing, since it avoided a major catastrophe by saying something amusing to its ears.
But, the current situation is different, our enemy is not that Cat, but a horde of forest goblins who have gained sentience much earlier than us. Not only are they stronger since they know more skills and abilities than us they seem to have larger numbers than us as well.
When the horde saw the goblins, at first their reactionswere like ''meh'', but when all the goblins have gathered outside the camp, they have begun gulping their non-existent saliva.
The goblins started besieging the camp, they did not directly attack but it seems like they are waiting for someone or something.
And then a voice came...
"YOU DISGUSTING PREDATORS! , REPENT!"
The goblins who heard the voice repeated the last word in unison.
"REPENT!"
At the center of that curve defensive line where the entrance of our camp was located. You can see a line of goblins started to break and they are making a way for the owner of the voice.
"The Great I, Bol''Bol the son of Bor''Bor will offer your lives to the Forest God to amend for all the crimes you have committed." Said the Goblin Chief in a loud, arrogant voice.
''This dumb Goblin Chief, of course, he came.'' I thought as I responded to his lame battle cry.
"Goblin Chief, this is a misunderstanding, we never intended to hurt you or your horde"
The hogs did not get what the goblins are saying, but the words I gave were understood by them and they seem to be very displeased at what I''m currently doing. My apologizing tone hurt their feelings for some reason. But I really don''t want to fight these bunch of green bastards if I have to. So if we can resolve this by peacefully talking, then that would be for the best.
"WHAT NONSENSE, NOT ONLY DID YOU DESTROY OUR SHRINE, YOU ALSO KILLED SOME OF OUR BROTHERS!"
''this guy, you are the one who destroyed your shrine in the first place, Chief and the Team only killed your kind as an act of self-defence.''
Is what I thought, since he already stated it that way, then we can only try and ask for forgiveness from our rashness and if it won''t work, then the only choice left would be, to FIGHT!
"WE APOLOGIZE FOR THAT OH GREAT CHIEF, WE ARE WILLING TO OFFER YOU ANYTHING AS LONG AS YOU RECEIVE OUR HEARTFELT APOLOGY". I shouted in response.
The horde, when they heard that they shouted various words, like...
"NONSENSE"
"STOP THAT FIG"
"LET''S KILL THEM ALL, AND BE DONE WITH IT"
The goblins only heard snorts and oinks, while the hogs heard hisses and grumblings.
And that works for me since their words can''t damage the negotiation that I''m currently making.
Though the possibility is low, it is not zero, so I might at least try.
Hearing my apology, the Goblin Chief tried to be cool and acted as if he was thinking so hard that he placed his right hand towards his head and rubbed his temple.
"WELL THEN, SINCE YOUR RACE IS A STUPID RACE, AND YOUR GOD IS A DISGUSTING GOD. THEN THIS GREAT CHIEF WILL GIVE YOU A CHANCE. YOU ALL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIVES WILL SERVE THE GREAT FOREST GOBLINS, YOU WILL ACT AS OUR MOUNT AND AS WELL AS OUR SLAVES FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIVES"
''There really is no more left that I could do,'' is what I thought.
All the things I knew during the time I was captured, I already reported it to the horde. The Chief and the horde were surprised to this report since the report is all about the Contribution Store and its usage. The Chief ordered all the Hogs to open and discuss the items being sold inside their contribution store. Unlike me and the Chief, most hogs only got tens of contribution points while some like Pic, Nic, and Jule got CP in hundreds. I and the Chief got in thousands.
This made things harder since not everyone can purchase Skills or Stats with those meager amount of CP. The horde made a decision to talk about the things available in their store and purchase the things that can increase our strength as fast as possible in preparation for this day.
''Oh well, who in their right mind would agree to that.''I thought as I translated the words towards the Hogs. Their response was rather expected. They shouted, and stomped their feet and later, those stomping and shouting became united, as they shouted the words in unison.
"KILL"
"KILL"
"KILL"
"KILL"
"KILL"
"KILL"
As those words reverberated the surroundings.
The goblins got annoyed and started their attacks. Though they might not understand our words, just the looks of our blood lusted faces the answer to their offer is clear. FIGHT!
FIGHT!
Cleansing 19 : Our Decision
The goblins launched their attack as they tried to jump into our camp. The lousy moat we created made the goblins speed slow down as they were swimming towards the gate.
Those who got near the gate became sittings ducks, as some hogs near the gate used their tails in order to pierce those invading goblins. The goblins who reached and tried to climb the gate got impaled as well. Though not all goblins got impaled due to stat differences, those goblins were instead knocked back towards the lousy moat.
Those who managed to land inside the camp received hard snouts and got bashed when incapacitated, they were later on pierced in the middle of the throat, as per Jule''s instruction. Jule noticed that damage dealt multiplies depending on where it hits.
The defense is distributed to your whole body but the proportions are not the same. Like our snouts which are harder and our bellies which are softer making them our weak spots.
What Jule observed from the fight was that goblins died every time she aims at their neck. Jule hit those goblins at their body but they won''t die right away, so she aimed at different parts of their body until she discovered their weak point. She got all the test subjects since Chief kept making those damn goblins fall into the ground that night.
The goblins who noticed that the head onwards and attack strategy is not working so they tried to go at the open entrance since that was easier to access and they do not need to swim the lousy moat to get inside the camp.
But when the goblins went inside, The atmosphere changed as something was being absorbed into a particular direction. The pressure near the area intensified as pure mana was being gathered to a single point. A hog covered in blue aura was standing in front of the entrance way.
I purchased it.
Seeing its effect first hand really changed my mind of collecting CP.
"BURST!"
The rushing goblins evaporated as the blue energy hit them. The goblin Chief who saw me using the same skill he used to oppress me and his fellow goblins got a twisted face.
He immediately cast the same skill.
"CANNON!"
Since we are facing each other I might as well cast the same skill.
"CANNON!"
Though the Goblin Chief started the skill first, I really have no plan in channeling it to its maximum. After the minimal channel time required was met I released the skill right away as the Goblin Chief was flabbergasted to my action he released his skill as well, a little slower than mine.
"BURST!!"
The two pure mana energies were released at almost the same time as they collided with each other causing them to explode near the Goblin Chief since I released mine first. The weaker goblins near the explosion evaporated making the Goblin Chief''s face spasm in anger.
Though pure mana is noisy and flashy it really does not affect a large area. Even the ground only got a lump on its surface. There was even no debris floating since the area that was affected the most was the area of impact. Almost everything disappeared as the blue energy dissipated.
The tough looking goblins who are guarding the Chief seems to be fine. It seems that the power of both our skills has a slight effect on them. The Goblin Chief stopped looking down on us and made a command in an angry shout.
"ATTACK ALL TOGETHER!"
He rushed forward leading towards the entrance as the goblins followed him.
Instead of worrying, the Hogs were instead smiling.
The Chief noticed the weird atmosphere and was about to command something when the ground they were standing on collapsed.
The goblins who were rushing forward fell into a pit trap. Though it was made in a hurry making its width short, we made sure that it was deep enough to not let anyone climb or even use weird skills like that stupid Cat.
Of course, it was my suggestion to place the pit in front of the entrance and it is their fault for being stupid enough to not even doubt why the camp entrance was loosely guarded.
The goblins in front were pushed into the pit as the running goblins halted their rush.
But the damage has been done, their Chief has fallen into the pit. The remaining goblins who are still above ground no longer have command and are just stupidly rushing towards the nearest hog and it became a mess as the hogs surrounded the pit and separating the goblins who are already inside while preventing those goblins who are still outside the camp to join the melee by blocking the camp entrance.
Pic came and dropped rocks towards the pit. His storage level has increased and can now take 50 items inside. Pic dropped all 50 pig-sized rocks towards the pit and God only knows what the goblins felt when it hit them.
After the pit trap card was activated. The goblin command shattered as they saw their fellows die one after another. Those who are outside the camp started to run as for those who are still trapped inside rushed towards the other end of the camp and jumped into the river.
The hogs were too tired to chase those escaping goblins and instead inspected their surroundings.
The Chief shouted and declared...
"VICTORY!!"
The hogs even though they were spent and exhausted forced what little energy remained within them and shouted as well.
"VICTORY!!!"

''Awesome''
Though using the storage that way was not my idea, at least I am the owner of the skill, so it is still considered as my achievement.
Looking at my surroundings, It can only be described as a mess. The camp that we made with all our efforts combined had experienced a total wreck.
The lousy moats water was turned into blood, as the bodies of dead goblinscan be seen floating.
The defensive fence we made was also destroyed as dead bodies of both goblins and hogs are scattered near it.
We may have won the battle but as I looked around, the dead bodies of my fellow hogs are all over the place. When you think about it, aside from gaining experience, the horde really lost too much.
Though they are my brethren, I really do not feel any sense of loss as I see them lying on the ground dead, never to stand again.
Ever since the start of the event, I really don''t have feelings for the other members of the Horde aside from my buddies. Well as for the feelings I got before the event, I only thought of myself. As I was thinking to myself, a bloody Jule approached me.
"Pic, the Chief is calling for you."
The sight of Jule being covered with blood alerted me.
"You hurt somewhere Jule?"
Jule did not reply and just smiled a scary smile and went towards the direction of another Hog. It seems like she was monitoring the death count and as well as calling the members of the horde to gather.
''leaving this area is no longer an option but a necessity huh'' I thought as I went towards the Chief.
As I went closer towards the Chief I can see his appearance, just like Jule, he also was a bloody mess. Though it might be enemy blood, there was still the possibility that the Chief is hurt somewhere since all the hogs have fought in a crazy brawl. Especially the Chief, he was fighting more goblins than the others.
"Pic we need to gather the dead bodies of our brothers," said the Chief with a melancholic voice.
"Why? It doesn''t feel good to place them inside me though" I ask since it''s gross to do that kind of stuff.
"Please Pic"
''Urghh''
I agreed to the Chief''s request since the dude was acting that way. I am still holding a grudge against the horde so I really don''t wanna do this. Though it may be harsh, that''s what I really felt. Indifference.
As I started to collect dead bodies inside me, I saw Fig staring blankly at the rock filled Pit.
"Hey, bud. Stop blaming yourself. You saved the Horde. At least we did not receive a surprise attack. Because you know since you prevented it, by discovering them goblins first, right?".
I tried to console him because he might be feeling guilty about the death of our brethren. Though those bastards abandoned you when you were abducted, you still cared for them.
"I''m not thinking about that Pic. I''m worried about the consequence of killing them" says Fig as he snout-pointed the dead goblins.
''Huh?''
I know this guy is weird but to have pity for the dead enemy is beyond weird. He even killed almost half of those guys by his shrewd plans.
He continued speaking.
"When we went to their camp, the area was freshly built, the force that attacked our camp in an estimate is only half of their numbers and from the looks of it, there are still more enemies left that can harm our horde. I''m afraid they will call for reinforcements and hunt us down in full force."
I''m not sure about that since I never noticed it in the first place, and I never bothered with those kinds of things to begin with.
"We can just kill them all, you know" I spoke what''s in my mind.
Fig shook his head and moved towards the Chief, I moved towards the opposite direction since I need to store the dead bodies.
''Well, if they come I''ll just drop stones at their heads and flatten those bastards,'' Is what I thought as I continued storing dead bodies.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story."So, this kind of thing is now part of our new lives," I told myself as I continued looking around to assist my fellow hogs who are tired, snoring and lying helpless on the ground.
This battle was a real eye opener. The lives we lived in that pigsty might be safer, but that life sure was boring. If I were given the chance of living that kind of life again, then I would kill the one who offered it.
After the battle, I and some brothers with good conditions were asked to provide this magical thing to my injured comrades. Since we cannot carry them during battle, we hide this magical item somewhere in the camp.
I grabbed(mouth) the magical item called HP pots that were currently attached to my tail, this thing was purchased from the CP Store. This will help you avoid death, and the Horde used most of their CP in buying this thing since they can''t afford to purchase skills nor stats, is what the horde decided.
All the Hogs who can''t purchase stats or skills bought all their remaining CP into HP pots, though some are against it when the Chief told them that by doing so they can preserve their small lives. The Hogs no longer hesitate and purchased it. They only cost 50 CP and will automatically provide you 250 HP.
I opened the HP pot and the contents fall towards a hog who was clearly at death''s door. If this takes any longer this hog will die since if you receive a wound, the thing called HP will start draining and it will only stop if your wound will be fixed.
The hog''s body absorbs the HP pot as the wounds that littered his body slowly vanished. He tried to stand but his stamina was low so he fell to the ground again.
"Don''t bother standing, there are no goblins left, we made sure to kill all those bastards, even those who are feigning death were not spared."
The hog nodded and continued to lay on the ground. As I look for other injured brothers, I saw Fig and the Chief going somewhere, they might be planning for the next step of action that the horde will take.
The dead bodies of goblins are gathered in one place, I don''t know what this is for, but the Chief specifically instructed this and even told the horde to collect all of em''.
The dead bodies of our brothers are placed inside Pic, I can see the guy with a down cast face moving around collecting em''.
The sun might be preparing to sleep but I and the horde are just about to start.
BEEP!
| YOUR HORDE HAS INITIATED THE FESTIVAL OF BLOOD |
Cleansing 21 : Us Heartache
I went towards the Chief. He seemed to be deeply sad about the turn of events. But that did not stop the Chief from moving forward since he was busy gathering the dead bodies of the goblins and piling them into one place.
The Chief told me that there is this thing called offering and this will allow you to receive favor from the Goddess.
He told me that there are many types of offerings. One of them is called Festival of Blood where you need to gather blood and flesh to serve as an offering towards your Patron God. He told me that since the Goddess is a member of the Predator Alliance she would happily receive blood and flesh. The other Gods might have different requirements but we really don''t need to know them anyway.
The Chief did not mean to surprise the horde about this offering thing but because of the recent string of events, he doesn''t have the time to do so.
''Well, the Hogs are used to surprises so it won''t really matter much.'' is what I thought.
As the believers of the Goddess of the Moon. The Hogs became active at night but that does not mean we are inactive at day. Of course, our body needs to rest but as our stats increase the duration of sleep, in our lives have decreased as well. Not only that, every time the sun descends and the moon arrives our bodies will be rejuvenated from all the fatigue we receive, one of the effects of our Goddess''s Blessing.
Making the statement ''sleeping as a Hobby instead of a necessity'' is no longer considered as a joke but a reality.

The Chief muttered something and the dim illumination of dusk turned into darkness. Deep darkness. As the sky above our heads sparked and cracked. The great moon revealed its appearance vanquishing the darkness. A little shiny dot started to travel towards us.
As the dot started to grow bigger, a dazzling silhouette with the body structure of a goblin and the old farmer arrived in front of us. The scattered Hogs in the camp started to gather towards the silhouette, even the sleeping Hogs opened their eyes and rushed towards it.
The Chief and the horde unconsciously bowed towards this silhouette, even I am not an exception.
........
........
........
(cicada chirping)
........
........
........
''This...'' nobody spoke we kept bowing our heads. The being in front of us didn''t speak, it did not do a thing either.
The Chief spoke breaking the silence.
"Oh, great Goddess. Please, I offer you this pile of flesh and blood."
........
........
there''s no response and the silence continued.
........
........
the hogs started to raise their heads and give in to their curiosity.
the silhouette no longer shone and the surroundings turned intobloody red hue. An eerie feeling dwelled as the Goddess respond.
"This offering, I''ll accept, speak thy desire."
The being spoke in an indiscernible voice it was not soft nor hard, feminine nor masculine and the tone was emotionless.
"Oh great goddess, please bring our fallen brothers back to life."
The Chief asked pleadingly as he poked Pic to release the dead bodies. Pic nodded and moved side ways as he brought them out one by one, forming a long line of dead bodies. As the final dead body was placed a notification popped out.
At the same time the notification appeared, the dead bodies of the goblins started to shake. The pile was crushed by an unknown force as it turned into a pool of blood. The moon slowly absorbthe pool of blood temporarily making the moon red, the silhouette ascended towards the moon along with the remaining drops of blood.
Nobody spoke, but red tears started to fall from the Chief''s eyes. The Chief collapsed as the red background turned into black making the surroundings dark. Moments later, the area was illuminated by the moon and the stars as if all that happened earlier was nothing but a dream.
The Hogs who were mystified by the happening started to get noisy, they looked at me with eyes asking about ''what the hell was that'' kind of look. Of course, I told them about it and they made disheartened faces.
It was a failure.
The offering that the Chief tried to execute failed, the hopes of reviving the horde members who died was shattered.
Though I really don''t believe that those who died would turn back to live again. The Chief still clung to the possibility no matter how little it was.
We brought the Chief toward his camp spot so he could rest. The Hogs are still grieving, but there was also a portion who continued living just the same and hunted for little critters.
When the night ended, the Hogs decided to throw the dead bodies of our brothers into the river. When the Chief rose from his slumber, he spoke about the remaining reward.

Cleansing 22 : Us Moving
The night has come and the Chief has not returned. It''s not like I am worried for that troublemaker since the guy brought half of our branch members, he even brought all of our soldier goblins. Those soldier goblins might have small numbers but they are still part of our elite. The Chief himself can also be considered as strong for his generation. That guy even dared to mess with the daughter of the Ka''lay tribe''s Patriarch. He caused a wreck in their place, raped the princess and killed some goblins. Patriarch Ka''lay was enraged and was about to wage war against the Bol''Bol tribe but their elders managed to calm him down since they could not afford to pay the price of another tribal war. Patriarch Ka''lay could only swallow his anger and ask for compensation for the lost honor, by making the Chief as his own son in law as well as 200 pieces of Kuchi (a magical seed that increases VIT and fertility one of the Forest Goblins major currency) making the Bol''Bol Tribe''s Patriarch to scratch his head with no other choice but to agree.
But those events are history, I, for the second time was proven as naive. A bunch of goblins are running with haggard looks and are desperately trying to reach me. They dropped to their knees and bowed their heads making loud thuds as it hit the ground. A symbol of deepest apology is currently being performed by the goblins. I originally thought that these goblins are those vagabond ones from their looks as they are rather messy and dirty. But the mark of the Bol''Bol tribe was etched at their necks, a tattoo of the twin fangs.
"WE APOLOGISE PRIESTESS"
The goblins shouted in unison, as they continued to catch their breaths.
''What the hell happened?''
I looked at their sorry appearance. I can recall some of the faces in front of me, they are part of the members that the Chief brought towards those hog something creatures.
"Where''s the Chief?"
The goblins who are still kneeling shuddered when they heard that question. Moments later the goblins exploded into sobs as numerous noises can be heard as they tried to speak but no words can go out from their mouths, only tears, and snot.
Then a goblin can be heard in a crying voice...
"Dead... sob, the Chief, so..."
"WHAAT!???"
I just can''t believe the words that entered my ears.
"Those guys just gained sentience for a little amount of time and are considered as 2nd generation enlightened. How is that possible?"
The sobbing goblins took a deep breath as they temporarily stopped crying as they dropped their heads deeper into the ground.
I calmed myself. There is no way I would believe it, my brain is forcing me to reject the news.
"Did they made collaboration with other races?"
"No priestess, they did not. The Chief led the charge and fell into a pit trap"
''That idiot''
"How could you let the Chief fall into a stupid and simple trap like that? Where are the soldier goblins?"
"They followed the Chief and fell as well. It happened in a flash. The Chief and Soldier Goblins fall into a pit and rocks started to fall out from the skyblocking the Chief and the other''s path of escape"
''How can this be happening. There''s a limit to stupidity''
"Did you see the Chief''s dead body?"
The goblins shake their heads sideways.
"If that''s the case... HEED THY SUMMONS!"
A horn was blown as the sound reverberated around the camp. The goblins that are sleeping came out of their tents and started to gather towards me.
"Tonight all of us should make preparations. First thing tomorrow we will march and rescue the Chief"
I told all the goblins that are currently inside my dwelling.
The goblins outside were curious as to why they are being summoned in the middle of the night but nobody asked and all of them complied.
When all the goblins were gathered outside my tent. I went out and shouted.
"Protectors of the Forest!"
The goblins clenched their right fists and banged it towards their chest as a response.
"PREPARE FOR BATTLE!".
The Chief told the hordeabout the options for mutation. He was rearing to get those HUMANOID PHALANGES when I told him that if you got humanoid limbs, you can now act just like those bipedal creatures, walking on two feet. The Chief who already did something selfish that time when he chose a different Patron God, no longer has the guts to make selfish decisions that have permanent effects towards the horde. So this time, he will listen and obey the words of the horde and obediently discuss the pros and cons of each choice.
But before all of that, I strongly disagreed on the time of mutation being now. Since we are still currently on a hot spot.
The members of the horde also agreed that those goblins as neighbors would be suicidal. We already have a conflict with each other and are currently on the receiving end due to our casualties.
The pit where the goblins are dumped is left alone. We really don''t care if the goblins inside are dead or alive, so nobody gave a fuck about it. If they are dead, then they are lucky since we gave them a place to rest, eternally. If they are alive, well at the time they get out of that, we are already gone so there is really nothing wrong about leaving that pit alone.
We decided to cross the river and move forwards, far away from this place. Since we don''t have things to bring with us, our pace was rather fast. We made sure to not leave traces like prints, so as we walk, we continued to wipe the traces that are left behind by using our tails.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. The horde discussed the mutation thing as we walked. There are many opinions that differ to each other like, a certain hogwants to have a thing called wings. Of course, I told them what wings are. After knowing its purpose, other hogs wanted to have wings as well. But I and the rest of the horde have second thoughts about having wings and flying. What will happen if you fly and those wings stopped moving? That question scared the pig shit out of them. There are also hogs who wanted to place an eye at the tip of our spear-tails. Of course, that''s stupid. The hogs received friendly tail lashes for their stupidityand no hog wanted to joke around anymore. If you place an eye at the end of the spear-tail, then we will have to change our race into eye-tail jokes aside, we not only wasted a mutation point but we also lost the penetration power of our spear-tails losing one of our main offensive attacks. The feeling of your extra eye bumping into something when we use impale gives me shivers as well.
Cleansing 23 : Us Mutants
When the sun was about to rise, we marched towards the enemy''s camp. The goblins drank morning dews from the leaves as they increase their march. The goblins who are informed about the Chief''s situation last night managed to hold back from marching after they finished their preparations.
Moving at night would be hard for us since our enemies are creatures of the night and fighting in their pace would be disadvantageous and might cause more casualties.
We can only pray that the Chief is still breathing when we get there. Though the possibility of the Chief being captured is high, I don''t believe that those creatures are capable of making negotiations so the Chief might still be inside the pit alive or the worst case scenario would be dead.
If by chance they did something about the pit that might cause the death of the Chief and the others then we can only blame fate for toying with us.
A goblin who managed to escape yesterday''s defeat can be seen running towards me.
"Priestess, we have reached their territory"
I ordered the group to be cautious as we moved at a steady pace. A heavy stench of urine can be smelled floating in the air.
''what a primitive and simplistic way of marking a territory.''
As expected of those 2nd generations enlightened. It really made me wonder how they thought of those tactics to defeat the Chief.
''Even if the Chief is stupid, It would still be difficult to deal with him''
I kept those thoughts aside as we are now close to the location where the battle occurred.
"Scout the perimeter"
The goblins obeyed my command as they scattered in different directions circling the area of the enemy''s camp. They returned with dejected faces.
"Priestess, they have left"
A goblin spoke with a voice filled with anguish. It seems like they really wanted to get revenge for the Chief and our fallen brothers.
We moved into their camp. It was quite different from what I expected on how a 2nd generation''s camp would be like.
A water defense and a wood defense. They have basic defense structure, just like those humans and their little hamlets.
''This is weird, how are they related to those dirty humans?''
I thought as I continued to survey the area. There are no dead bodies laying on the ground. The traces of battle are still fresh. It was clear from the damages caused in their wood defense. The water defense''s water also has the color of blood mixed.
I moved into the place where the Chief was last spotted. It was a path made of rocks that are stacked into one another.
''Where do they get this kind of wisdom?''
It''s really amazing how those creatures made all of these stuff within a short amount of time. In front of me, a goblin can be seen calling for my attention.
''So this is the trap that they made''
Right in front of the entrance, A large pile of rocks can be seen.
"Gather everyone and get these rocks out of the hole."
The goblins moved swiftly as they drag one rock after the other. As they pulled more rocks out, they could also recover dead bodies of our allies. They separate the dead bodies and the rocks as they continued to haul the pit.
''Strange, aside from the bodies inside the pit, there are no other dead bodies. Even traces of it being eaten cannot be found''.
Moments later several gasps can be heard.
"THE CHIEF. THE CHIEF"
''Oh. it seems they found that idiot''
I moved closer and peeked inside the pit. The broad backs of the soldier goblins can be seen and were forming a circular formation. They huddled themselves together just like a petal revolving around the base of a flower.
''This bastard might be stupid but his luck''s not bad''
The surrounding goblins merrily pushed the soldier bodies aside and aimed for the Chief. The Chief was knocked unconscious and was currently being carried by the goblins within the pit. The goblins above thrown a makeshift rope made from vines into the hole and wrapped it around the Chief''s body. After doing so, the goblins who were rejoicing recovered from their glee and turned towards the soldier goblins who they pushed aside unintentionally.
With their strong bodies, it seemed that no one died and was just powerless to move those rocks. Luckily there were spaces in the rocks that made the air enter inside, allowing these fools to breathe and not suffocate.
When the Chief was pulled out of the pit, the goblins slowly lay him on the ground. I went closer to the Chief and inspected his body condition.
''only bruises, scratches and a pale skin nothing fatal huh''
I softly slapped the Chief''s face a couple of times to wake him up. His eyes slowly opened as he grasped for air, the dude stood and angrily shouted.
"CHAAARGE!"
''dunce'' I thought as I slapped my forehead.
"Shut up and look around genius"
The Chief looked around when he heard my words. From rage to anger and from anger to puzzlement.
"WHERE ARE THEY?"
A kind goblin manages to explain the situation.
The Chief then bowed his head in shame, not only was he defeated, he lost almost half of his branch. He looked at me trying to say something but he didn''t open his mouth and sat on the ground instead.
"We need to go back Chief."
The Chief raised his head, then shook it.
''this idiot''
"You want to chase them?"
The Chief nodded his head.
''Why am I the one who''s assigned to baby sit this bastard''
"What would you get by doing something like that Chief?"
The Chief stilled and was deep in thought.
"Forget it, as long as those creatures live in this forest we can still find them. But for now, the best way of action is to go back and heal those who survived, you really need to reflect from this Chief. Luckily, aside from our enemy, only us knew about this fiasco, so retrieving your honor can be done later."
The Chief with a reluctant face nodded at my proposition.
''Oh well, this guy needs to mature fast. If those 2nd generations can do something like this within months, then our safety...''
Chief Pair tried to reopen his opinion of having humanoid limbs, saying that if we got those we can work efficiently and we can create more things. Our fighting potential would increase since we can free three of our limbs instead of the means of using 4 limbs to rush on an enemy or as balance when we use our tails. This I agree.
But Jule and some of the hogs opposed to the idea, saying that by doing so, not only would we expose our weak spot, which is our stomachs. We would also need time to adjust from being 4-pedal into being 2-pedal which required an amount of time and we currently don''t have such thing for the moment since we are running away from those goblins.
I tried toopen my mouth and offer some help to the Chief when something...
Cleansing 24 : Us Mutants (2)
The horde temporarily stopped.
In front of us, buildings that are quite familiar can be seen from a far. There were lots of them in varying sizes. The hogs cautiously gathered and made hush whispers to one another.
''It''s similar to the old man''s place but there are no plants''
I thought as I surveyed the area.

Chief Pair said to hide far from it for the moment and wait till dusk so we could start our infiltration by using our blessing skill - Night Stealth. The hogs who got eye skills and hearing skills added that there seems to be no one inside the camp.
But the Chief insisted on waiting for dusk just to be sure since we cannot afford to have new enemies. As we waited for dusk, Jule approached me.
"Yo Fig. I just want to remind you about something."
''Not this again''
"You know Jule, I need to talk something with the Chief so..."
Before I could move, Jule blocked my path.
"No you don''t Fig, I know you are running away again."
''Shit. I know that I couldn''t run away forever but for Jule to be this straight forward.''
"No Jule, it''s just that our situation is dire and doing those things are rather inappropriate."
"You already said that excuse when we returned from the enemy camp last time."
''Urghh. It''s JUST mating and that''s all. But why am I being so wussy about it.''
I tried to calm down and composed myself.
"Ok Jule, but I want to clarify things."
"Just once," I said with a firm and solid voice.
Jule burst out laughing with jeering snorts.
"Then what are you waiting for?"
''You gotta be kidding me''
"Seriously Jule, right HERE?"
Even though we were hiding from the human settlement our fellow hogs can still be seen moving around.
"Why not?"
"For some reasons, I really feel uncomfortable being seen doing the deed"
"Come on Fig, I know you are weird. But nobody gives a fuck about being seen mating"
Jule said as she raised her butt.
''Shut up, cause I give a fuck''
I mounted on top of Jule and inserted my thing.
*oaah
Jule released weird moans as I humped her.
"Faster Fig... oaah...use more force." I complied with Jule''s request as I slowly enjoyed humping her.
Some hogs saw us since Jule''s moans are rather loud as they stopped to look and then walk away as if nothing peculiar was happening.
''Damn it. At least leave some expression when you saw someone mating. Damn it damn it.'' I cursed as my weirdness was just proven by that fact. Angry, I used more force and even added mana every time I pushed my thing.
*OHHHHH. (FIG)
"YEAH moaarr.. give it to me Fig... AHHHHHHHH." My seed spurted inside Jule as I ejaculated. I left the scene with mixed feelings.
''I feel like I lost something important.'' I continued to move away from the spot and found myself a clearing.
I sat in the middle and recollected all the happenings ever since theevent.
''It''s not like I haveplans or something, but I really want to see more about this world.'' This kind of thought might be the reason why I don''t want to attach myself to Jule. I really want to go out and see the world, and by doing so I need to leave the horde.
As I was lost in my thoughts dusk came.

The Chief and the hogs started to infiltrate the hamlet. But just as expected, there was no soul in there. The Chief gave the signal to come and all hogs went around the hamlet excitedly. Since the area was not that large, the hogs rounded the hamlet quite fast and shared their thoughts.

I continued to inspect the things while telling the hogs about their details, they asked more question about what''s that and what''s the use of that. It made things harder since I need to use both analyze and inspect to fulfill their curiosities.
Since almost everyone gathered around me, the Chief announced something.
"WE WILL STAY HERE FOR AN AMOUNT OF TIME, THERE ARE THINGS THAT I WISH TO CONSIDER AND I HOPE EVERYONE WILL COOPERATE."
The curious hogs who were listening to me moved their heads and faced the Chief.
"Come on Chief, tell us that later" (HOG 1)
"It''s not like those goblins will still follow us until here, it''s already been 3 days" (HOG 2)
"YEAH" (MULTIPLE HOGS)
The Chief hearing them could only sigh, he looked at me with pleading eyes asking for help.
"Uhmm. Guys, I think we need to listen to the Chief. I can tell you about these things afterward anyway." I said as the hogs reconsidered whilst pouting.
*kuf! kuf!
The Chief then continued...
"First is, we do not know where we currently are. Though I know that nobody cares and no one knows anything about this place, I still want to stay here for the meantime before we continue moving on. Since we don''t have a destination and moving around blindly might get us trouble, so making scouting teams to scout the forest would be the wisest thing to do in my opinion."
The hogs who were pouting gave the Chief a glare.
"THAT''S IT?" (MULTIPLE HOGS)
*kuf! kuf!
"Second is, the Mutation stuff."
The hogs expressions change as they heard the word "MUTATION". They no longer half-heartedly listen to the Chief but was rushing excitedly towards him instead.
Cleansing 25 : Us Mutants (3)
The hogs swarmed the Chief as they voiced out their opinions about the mutation making their voices overlap each other. The Chief pacified them and told them to talk one by one.
There are top 3 choices that are quite similar:
1. The Humanoid mutation.
2. The Wings acquisition.
3. The Torso enlargement plus an extra pair of limbs.
This time the Chief thought of a solution on how to decide the mutation path since nobody wants to give way making the decision for the mutation to drag on. He asked the hogs to raise their tails when their preferredmutation path was called. The highest amount of tails would be the mutation path the horde will take. The hogs agreed to it as the solution was very reasonable. The Chief said loudly.
"WINGS"
A group of hogs led by Pic raised their tails, the Chief pointed a corner and let them move aside. The Chief continued.
"TORSO"
A group of hogs who were led by Jule raised their tails, she then glared at those who haven''t raised their tails as if threatening them to raise it.
''Oy, that''s not allowed Jule'' is what I thought, but the hogs who were being glared atdidn''t succumb to Jule''s threats.
I saw the Chief breath a sigh of relief.
Calm down Chief, I already convinced a huge amount of hogs. When they tried to ask me a favor, of course, I told them to return it whenneeded.
Seeing that nobody else raised their tails, Jule tried to persuade them by explaining different kinds of things. But still, nobody raised their tails.
The Chief, I and the Hogs who haven''t voted yet gathered together.
Pic''s group was lesser than both of our groups, just by looking at it while Jule''s group almost have the same numbers with ours. In order to determine the winner, we pick a hog of our group and pair it with a hog of Jule''s group. The group that got a hog without a pair wins since it has more members.
A huge smile can be seen hanging on the Chief''s face as the pairing was going on.
''It''s for the greater good Chief,'' Though I felt bad for Jule. We cannot allow those humanoid limbs to pass by, just thinking about its potential, there are just way too many possibilities for it too.
A powerful flash of light brought forth a strong energy wave. The lightturned brighter and brighter, before finally engulfing the entire hamlet.
I felt a burning sensation seemed to set all of the parts of my body ablaze.Along with the continuous burning of my body, I could distinctly feel my body was starting to change slowly. My hind legs were currently being stretched aswell as my front legs, therewas also an itchy feeling as every second passes by.
When the light started to change the form of my hands and feet, an extremely frightening agony constantly grated on my hands, even turning my vision blurry. I passed out.
When I woke up, a different kind of scene was in front of me. The hogs who now have long limbs with humanoid hands and feet are lying everywhere in the hamlet.
''It seems like I''m not the only one who lost consciousness.'' I thought as I tried to movearound. But for some reasons, I can''t use my new feet and hands.
''If an enemy comes, then all of us will die.'' I forced myself and attempted to move my hands, this time I felt a response. The finger in the middlewas raised and the others were clenched.
Moments later, I saw Fig trying to move as well. He too was trying hard on how to control our new limbs. He turned his neck towards my direction and was trying to say something when a notification popped out.

''Oh,'' I exclaimed as I shouted towards Fig.

Fig stilled, the usual fast response did not come.
''Maybe there are many things that are related to Demi-Humans,'' While waiting for Fig''s response I continued to move my hands. Now I can make grasping motions,I can move my feet as well. I put some force on my back and spring my upper body upwards trying to make into a sitting position. I failed.

It has been 2 days since the mutation. The hogs have more or less adapted towards their new limbs. With a slightly awkward feeling, they still accepted the fact that they were no longer the 4 pedaled creatures they were used to be.
Some rejoiced about the change, but therewas also a portion who were unhappy about it. The ones who hated the change the most were the female hogs. When they became 2 pedaled their teats started to show and they disliked the fact that moving on all fours for a long period of time will hurt their backs, so they could only continue walking on two feet and display theirsoggy teatsfor everyone to see.
The Chief was the only one who felt euphoria from the change. When all of us woke up after the mutation, the Chief only took a day to adapt from the change. He started to move those limbs like crazy, he ran and ran again and ran around on two feet that after consuming most of his stamina, he experienced stamina zero that day not once but twice.
The Chief''s well-built muscles are now currently being displayed for everyone to see, not like before, the Chief''s abdominal muscles are only appreciated by the ground since it can only be seen when he stands on 2 feet.
''Maybe that''s the reason why he always wanted to stand on two feet,'' I felt dumb for a second when I thought about that being the Chief''s driving force toward humanoid mutation.
I saw Pic still trying to move his new limbs in order to stand but he always stumble and fall since his knees will crumble everytime he walks, I really wanted to help but there''s really nothing I can do but tocoach and cheer for him since it''s a part of his body then only he could learn on how to use it.
There was also Nic after we fought the goblins he was acting rather weird, I may be too busy to ask for the reason but if he wants us to know then he should''ve told us already, so I am assuming that he doesn''t want to talk about it, so I lefthim alone.
Unlike the other female hogs, Jule was proudly displaying her beautiful teats, when you compare her teats to the others, then it can only be described as a female version of the Chief.
''Holy pig, is that really Jule, how can it be that her body is more well-built than mine,'' I grimaced as I discovered the fact that my body was rather wimpy compared to the Chief and even most of the hogs.
I moved away from the rest of the hogs and went inside a house that was now considered as my dwelling. I sat on a thing called ''chair'' and looked at the different items placed on a thing called ''table''.Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation.
The hogs were no longer curious about the stuff that they found here in this hamlet, some kept their items, while the others throwit away and those items ended up inside Pics stomach. I already checked all the items since most of the items are the same, it only took a day to finish inspecting them. There are items that really caught my eye, especially this thing called ''glass''.
''Where the hell did they get this kind of thing,'' was what I thought at first, but it was actually madeby them which left me flabbergasted. The thing called glass was used by the humans to carry water towards their mouths, which in my opinion was rather stupid.
''Why not directly drink the water from the source, placing water in a glass thendrinking it afterward is so stupid that it really made me wonder why they created this beautiful thing just for that,'' I continued to doubt the human''s so called intelligence as I surveyed the items on top of my table. There was only a little amount of these glass in the hamlet, though the others broke due to the hog''s bruteness, I still gathered the broken shards and placed them in a corner of my house.
There was also this thing called ''silver'', there are many different things that were made from this. It is said that this silver came from the thing called ''mines'' which were located at a thing called ''mountain''.
The silver that currently is in front of me is of various forms, there is a silver ''spoon'' that also has a weird intended purpose that was actually used for delivering the food into the mouths of those humans. There is also a thing called silver ''food knife'' which allows you to cut food.
''What the hell, those humans don''t have teeth or something?'' I tried to recall the old farmer''s teeth and remembered that he only had a little amount so I accepted the fact that these knives are of great purpose. There was also a thing called ''fork'' which has a similar function of a spoon.
The best thing that attracted my attention the most was the thing called ''gold''. They are little shiny things that are used by the humans as a medium for a thing called ''trading''.
''Oh well, what ever that is, these things are quite pleasing to the eyes,'' I continued to analyze the things and found out silver too can be used for trading, there is also a thing called ''copper'' that is used as well.
Though I am curious as to why did those humans left behind their things, I did not put it to heart since I learned different kinds of stuff that might be useful when I go around the world someday. I already experienced the fact that the power of the thing called knowledge is absolute for my survival, so having more things to learn is a must.
When I was lost in my thoughts, Jule came inside my dwelling.
"Hey Fig, why do you gather those rubbish, you can''t eat them you know"
''Urgh, what an annoying sow,why can''t you just leave me alone already'' I thought as I stood up and prevented Jule from going near my table and damage my stuff.
"Jule, I am busy, what do you want?" I asked Jule as I blocked her from entering further.
"Fig I want to mate, the other sowsare currently pregnant and I really am curious as to what kind of thing will pop out of my hole."
....
....
....
"WHAT!???"
Cleansing 27 : Us Scouting
I wasn''t shocked about Jule''s invitation since I''m already used to it. Instead, I was shocked by the fact that some of the female hogs were actually pregnant right after the mutation.
After the event, the pregnant hogs mysteriously lost the things they were carrying inside their bellies. They were shocked about it at first but then decided to forget about it since it was more convenient for the horde when moving around places. Although this topic was mentioned one time, the hogs seriously did not care about it.
During the event, there were also no little hogs around making me wonder where the hell those little guys went. I am not sure if the already born babies grew up automatically or the babies disappeared since we hogs don''t socialize before the event and the female hogs who bore those little hogs don''t really care much about their youngsters.
"What''s with the surprised face?" Jule said with a puzzled expression.I ignored Jule as I slowly but steadily pushed her outside my dwelling.
''How could you not know the significance of this matter'' I could only sigh as the thought of the horde increasing its population was rather a huge matter for me.
When we were out of the house I told Jule multiple of times to never go inside when I''m out. I ran as fast as I could towards the Chief and left Jule hanging.
''It''s not like I don''t care for you, Jule. But I really got a feeling that the newly born hogs will be different than the previous ones.'' I really can''t explain it but the matter of caring for one''s young will have a qualitative change was what my senses were telling me.
When I reached the Chief''s dwelling which was the tallest building in the hamlet and was rather convenient to look for since it was placed at the center of the hamlet.
I saw the Chief holding a thing called ''rake'' some houses got them but most of them can be found in an abandoned lot near the hamlet with a weird forming ground which was actually called as a ''plot''.
The Chief was practicing. He said that this ''rake'' here will become an extension of his limbs and will hit the enemy hard when we first saw that item.
He slashed the air with his rake, hacked, pierced and chopped. Despite the Chief''s muscular build, his movements were rather fluent and fast while displaying his agility and mastery of using his newly mutated limbs. I can''t even see the rake when it''s moving.
''Wow. If an enemy got hit by that. The poor rake would surely break'' I approached the Chief while making heavy steps in order for him to notice my presence.
The Chief halted his practice and spoke without even turning back.
"Cool right?"
"Urgh, It was but you destroyed that cool image by acting like that"
*cough
*cough
"So what brought you here?"
"I was about to ask you about the pregnancy of some hogs"
"What''s there to ask for Fig?"
''Oh come on, even you Chief?'' I thought inwardly as I went closer to the Chief and murmured something.
"WHAT!??"
The Chief shouted when he heard my words. Well, what I told the Chief was rather scary in my opinion as well so that would be a natural response, I guess.
"How can you say something like that Fig? Did you got it from your analyze skill?"
The Chief was now sweating bullets since he might be the cause of this massive pregnancy of the horde.
"No I didn''t. I only got a feeling that it would be like that though" I told the Chief with a mischievous smile on my face. The Chief breath a sigh of relief as he continued to practice and was now ignoring my existence.
''Hehe, suits you right Chief. Who told you to show off that muscular body of yours around.'' I went out of the Chief''s dwelling and was planning to go around looking for those pregnant hogs when I saw the first scouting team return, I changed my mind.
"Is there something new?" I asked as I looked towards the current leader of this scouting team, Nic.
Nic smirked and moved towards the Chief''s dwelling while saying... "Come, you hear it with the Chief"
"I just went there but yeah might as well listen to it when the report is still fresh"
I followed the scouting team as we seek an audience with the Chief. Though Chief Pair might be the Chief, he doesn''t act arrogantly like that Goblin Chief and the hogs treated him just like any other hog, he too treated the members of the Horde as his brothers instead of being subordinates. It really made me wonder why the goblins care about their Chief so much that they were actually willing to die for him.
The Chief was repeating those flashy moves he made when I first went in but this time he stilled and made no weird spiel.
''Damn so that was actually scripted, this pretentious hog how many times have you done this already?'' I cursed the Chief in my mind as the scouting team was awed by the Chiefs flashy display.
He turned around and faced us when he saw me, his brow curled but it returned to normal like it never happened as he squatted on the floor.
"So how was it Nic?"
"Nothing new, we moved at dusk and withdrawn when dawn came. Even while moving as fast as we can, we could still not leave the forest"
"At least there was no danger in the northern area and we can consider it as a safe route, so did you mark the path?"
"Yeah, we also made sure to locate water sources when we''re at it."
"Well done, tell Jule to gather her team so they could depart when dusk comes, let her go towards the west. Jule will be more efficient since she has navigation skills"
I agree with that statement, Jule even introduced thefour cardinal points to us and even made plenty of examples on how to determine them.
Nic confirmed that with a smirk. Nic and his team left the Chief''s dwelling.
"Hey Chief, I don''t see the point of the time duration of this scouting team. Why not let them move further and only return when they saw something new?"
The Chief nodded his head but did not automatically reply. Moments later he stood and said.
"I am afraid that those humans might return, so we cannot afford to allow the scouting team to be away for too long." The Chief walked around me, as he was revolving his eyes were focused on me.
"Yeah, there sure is a possibility of them returning but it''s not like we could not negotiate with them peacefully. The analyze skill says that they were a diplomatic race."
The Chief stopped moving and pointed a wall, I looked at the direction of the wall and saw a cloth hanging on the wall.
"What''s that?" I askedas my curiosity was triggered.
Cleansing 28 : Us Doubts
I walked closer towards the wall. The hanging cloth was rather attractive that I got a weird feeling rising inside my chest just from looking at it. But before I could even use my inspect skill, the Chief spoke.
"This is the reason why they will return. This thing here raises my mood and sometimes makes me fierce. I''m definitely sure that they forgot to bring this with them and will come back for this."
I nodded my head and used inspect.
"INSPECT"

EMBLEM:
AZKATHO KINGDOM BANNER (COMMON) -
A banner with the 3 colored triangles forming a trapezoid of the Azkatho royal family. The triangles symbolizehierarchy. The blazing red color in the middle symbolizes courage and bravery. Its blue color on the left symbolizes peace and tranquility. The green color on the right symbolizes prosperity and fertility. A common yet popular banner made by the citizens of the Azkatho Kingdom.
AF: Increases fighting spirit slightly.

There were lots of new words that I find hard to understand so I used my analyze skill a multiple of times.
"Analyze Emblem"
"Analyze Kingdom"
"Analyze Banner"
"Analyze Color"
"Analyze Triangles"
"Analyze Trapezoid"
....
....
....
After I finished inspecting and analyzing the cloth that was in front of me. I got excited. The word Kingdom is a human thing where they have a King that will rule over all the other humans who lived within the King''sterritory called Kingdom.
''So this hamlet is called the Azkatho Kingdom,'' I said as I made a conclusion. I wonder where the King and all the other humans went by leaving theirkingdom empty. There were no traces of battle, the situation was so weird so I decided to think about it later.
I looked at the Chief who was clearly waiting for me.
"Chief this thing here is called a Banner. That attractive thing in the middle of the cloth is called an emblem. That emblem thing belongs to the Azkatho Kingdom which we are currently occupying, that means that thing in the cloth is a mark and a symbol of their territory." I explained my findings in a simple and direct manner. The Chief still has a question mark hanging over his head so I added.
"They abandoned their kingdom Chief, that means we can make this area our new territory"
The Chief nodded his head as if indicating that he got my point, he then said.
"So will they return or not?"
It seems like the Chief was still worried about those humans coming and getting this banner thing, well I can''t blame him since he only thinks for the benefit of the horde so I will try and erase some of his doubts.
"I do not know if they will come back or not but I am definitely sure that if they do, it''s not for that thing," I said as I pointed the banner.
"How can you say that Fig? This thing seems to be important, my gut is telling me that they will come back for that."
"The analyze skill told me that this thing is common and can be found anywhere around the kingdom."
*ZAP!!!!
A strong realization hit me. Since this item was common then we should have found them everywhere in this kingdom/hamlet. Then why is it that the banner was only placed within the Chief''s dwelling.
"Chief we are in deep trouble. Those human Kingdoms are probably huge and this hamlet is not a kingdom and is only a part of it."
With a worried look, the Chief responded.
"Why are we in deep trouble? Stop being mysterious and directly tell me Fig." The Chief was getting anxious since he trusted me so much and my words have already saved the horde a multiple of times.
"If they return, they would probably attack us on the spot. If those humans discovered that a part of their territory is currently being occupied by another race then they should be enraged. Plus the missing people who used to live here might misunderstandus as invaders making the situation more complicated since we have no information about those humans or even their numbers but there is one thing that I am sure of Chief."
"And what''s that?" Sweat started to gather on the Chief''s head.
"We will be annihilated," I told the Chief my heartfelt thoughts.
The Chief was shocked about my prediction, the belief that we were now stronger than we used to be was true but us being stronger than those humans who were our predecessors was so wrong that just thinking about it reminds me of the bloody battle against those goblins. The thought of the power of that Goddess who recently descended and those humans who were actually descendants of said Goddess scares me to death. When you think about it, we were used to be raised by those humans.
"Are they that strong, I don''t believe you Fig, that old man in our old place was not that strong looking in my opinion," The Chief who recovered from his shock tried to calm down and think things thoroughly.
"I know nothing about their physical strength Chief, they might be as strong as those goblins or stronger but that''s not the reason why I said that. They are smarter than us Chief and that''s scary, think about it. I''m not saying that we were smarter than those goblins since we defeated them, but what I''m trying to say is that the human King might not be as stupid as that Goblin Chief and also there are things that can make the situation more difficult than it already is. Things that I am referring to are those so called "weapons" that the goblins were using. Did you saw them, right? Those things the goblins were carrying?."
The Chief nodded his head, he too was thinking about using weapons even before the mutation. So how can he not know about them?
"Then what abouthuman weapons?"
"How can you be so sure that those humans have weapons and stuff?" The Chief keeps on denying reality but I am not gonna blindly believe that they don''t have one since they can even make more complicated stuff like this house we are currently in.
"Just look around Chief," I said as I started to move out of the Chief''s dwelling. When I was near the exit, the Chief spoke in a hurried voice.
"We can''t afford to move Fig, the Hogs are still adapting with their new limbs and also those pregnantsows,we couldn''tjust leave them here and if we bring them, they will only slow us down when we start to move." The Chief followed me out of his dwelling with a perplexed look.
"Then we can only do one thing Chief."
