《Ley World-The Game》 Prologue My other book: Searful http://royalroadl.com/fiction/6674 Day 1-Book 1 Day 2-Book 2 So that''s that. Now onto the book. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ¡°C¡¯mon! 10 minutes left until it launches!¡± Jayson screamed at the top of his lungs for everyone to hear. All around him screams of happiness filled the air as people prepared for the launch of the world¡¯s first VR-MMORPG, Ley World. Jayson was one of 10,000 people who would be able to play the game 2 months before it officially came out. Suddenly, the main director of the game, John Field took the stage. ¡°Now if you would all listen.¡± People around shut up and looked at him. ¡°The game will be live in 8 minutes and 49 seconds. In those 8ish minutes I will tell you all what will happen.¡± ¡°Firstly, as many of you know, this game combined technology with fantasy, so we have things such as mana-powered spaceships. This allows a very diverse sense of gameplay. Secondly, we have created a galaxy for you to explore for these 2 months. After these months the full Universe will be released with the game¡¯s official release.¡± Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.People were beginning to murmur around him. ¡°Hush please. Thank you. Now as I was saying, you guys will have an entire galaxy to explore. This means that seeing other plays will be extremely rare unless more than one spawn in the same area.¡± ¡°The last thing I want to talk about is the limits this game has. It has none. Simple as that, players can have an infinite level along with their skills.¡± He stopped talking, and looked around to everyone. People were either gasping or speaking to one another. ¡°Well, that has been all I wanted to say. Thank you and enjoy the game. It is up in 40 seconds.¡± When Jayson heard that, he rushed into his capsule. If he remembered correctly it took 30 seconds for him to enter the ¡°comatose¡± state, so he would have 10 seconds to think before the game began. Strapping himself in, he closed his eyes and said ¡°Enter.¡± Chapter 1 my other Book: Searful If the code doesn''t work I will cri. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to Ley World! You are one of the first beta-testers that will be allowed to explore the game 2 months prior to it''s official release. Have fun, and don''t forget, you only have 1 galaxy to explore during this trial, so don''t go crazy trying to see how far you can go.
I already knew all of this. Now time to make my class!
RacesDescription and Stats
HumanHumans are cunning, intelligent, and just all around amazing. Not only are they extremely quick learners, but humans can also adapt to any situation or environment they are in. While they seem amazing, tend to back stab people who they find weak and are extremely prejudiced. +1 of Every Stat every 3 levels +25% Chance to gain a skill from Random Events +25% Chance to get a skill from being in a harsh environment -25% Influence Increase with NPCs
ElfElves are one of the most intelligent and beautiful races in the world. They are capable of learning every skill in the Universe, even Special Racial Skills. Their Grace allows them to make people at ease and they are usually thought of as the most caring race. Elves are usually some of the most capable psychics. +1 Intelligence, Wisdom, and Willpower per level +25% Influence Increase with NPCs +20% Learning Speed with Psychic Abilties
DwarfDwarves are short and stubby creatures that have enough attitute to fill the lot of them. They are quite slow and lethargic but make up for it with their surprising endurance and strength. Dwarves tend to hate anything space related and most just spend their time underground. +1 Strength, Endurance, and Vitality per level +25% Learning Speed with Earth and Metal magic -50% Learning Speed with Void, Stellar, and Gravity Magic -5 Starting Willpower
DemonkinDemonkin are what resulted when a messed up god attempted to combine its creations with the normal races. Demonkin are hated throughout most of the universe though they are quite strong. Not only do they keep half of the racial boosts from their base race, but they also become better at controlling dark magic. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. +/- Half of their Half-Races Racial Stats +25% Learning Speed with Dark Magic -25% Learning Speed with Light Magic +1 Endurance per level
HerinThe Herin are a humanoid like species. Not only can they chance their vision to either Night or Thermal Vision, but they are the best Mana Manipulaters around. They are much taller than a elf even but are much slimmer. Their skin had a species property that allows them to let light pass through when they please, rendering them invisible. +2 Intelligence, Wisdom, and Willpower per level -50% Health, Health Regen, and gains from Vitality, Endurance, and Strength +Racial Abilities Thermal and Night Vision, Invisibility
CyborgLike the Demonkin, cyborgs are half one species and half robotics. Instead of having stat point gained per level, they instead get Evolution Points which they can use to improve on themselves. One of the cyborg''s main key points is there ability to see things at 1/5th normal speed. +2 Evolutionary Points per level +Racial Skill Slow Time
Hmmm, Cyborg would be interesting, but I usually play as a Mage. I would play as a Herin but they have horrible health and strength. Maybe an Elf? You know what, I will pick an elf. Making up his mind at last, Jayson decided to pick elf. All of a sudden a whole new screen of sub-races assaulted him.
Sub-RacesDescription and Stats
Wood-ElfWood Elves are born in the forests surrounding a Great Tree. They are able to understand animals and plants like no others, and most tend to become druids or alchemists because of their knowledge with plants. +20% Learning Speed with Nature and Animal Magic
Void-ElfVoid Elves are born are born in the very corners of space. They have a natural liking of space and anything void related. Unlike normal elves, they are grey and the lack of gravity makes them taller. +15% Learning Speed with Void, Stellar, and Gravity Magic
Dark-ElfDark Elves originated when normal Elves accidentally found themselves stuck in an old dungeon. Over time the elves turned pitch-black and after a few generations turned the entire dungeon into their home. +20% Learning Speed with Dark and Earth Magic
Hmmm, the nature and animal magic boost would be quite nice, but the Void-Elf seems more interesting than the rest. Happy with his decision, Jayson picked Void-Elf.
Please choose your name:
Ah, the part I hate the most, making a name. He was naturally challenged at creating fantasy names and had to think for quite a while before deciding. My name, will be Reflem. He was surrounded with a bright white light before he felt himself sitting in a really comfortable chair. Opening his chair, he found himself sitting in a futuristic looking room. The room was white with some grey in a few areas. The room was normal, a mana-powered PC, a bed, a chair, a closet, and a window. He got up and took a look around before looking down at himself. He was wearing a skin tight black one piece that covered his whole body. Looking around once more, he found the window and looked out. What he saw was nothing more than amazing. He was looking at a planet. Chapter 2 My other Book Also btw, the first 10ish chapters will have very quick progression before everything slows down. I mean cmon, early levels in video games are always fast. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHAPTER 2 What, what is this? I''m looking at an entire planet. This has to be fake! Getting up, Jayson looked around once more and realized that there was no health bar, no experience bar, nothing. He felt as if he was in real life, if it wasn''t for the change in body shape. When the devs said 98% realism they weren''t kidding. How high is the pain index? Is it the same as real life? Being the idiot that he was, Jayson kicked the bed as hard as he could.
You have dealt 17 damage to yourself. You now have a broken foot: -30% Movement Speed
Damn, that actually hurt. Not as much as it would in real life though. And how much is 17 damage to me? And how the hell did i I break my foot?! The only logical solution would be to think of character and see if anything came up. He was surprised when a full status came up.

Hmmm, so I have 50 total health, and just kicked the bed already got rid of 17? Damn this would be hard. Seeing his stats, he sent the screen away and walked out of the door. When he looked around, he realized he was in a large hallway connected to many other rooms. There were red arrows pointing down the hallway so he began to follow them. A few torturous minutes later he came to a large cylindrical room. How am I so tired? In real life I could have done this for miles. I guess your stats aren''t just numbers in here. A large cough came from the front of the room, and Jayson saw a man that looked much like him, except his clothing was blue. "Welcome traveler. You are the first to arrive at Station X-855, the only Station that orbits the Void-Elf colonized planet, Trion. My name is Full, and I am here to be your guide until you are strong enough to venture out into the world on your own. May I ask your name?" The man spoke with a quick and delicate touch, seeming to want to not want to seem disrespectful right off the bat. If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. "My name is Relfem. Thank you in advance for guiding me until I am strong enough to live on my own." Jayson bowed. "Very well than Relfem, welcome to our world. As I can see, you decided to become a Void-Elf much like i am. That means that I will most likely be your main mentor in the magic arts associated with us. Do you have any questions?" Jayson thought for a while before continuing. "Not really. Can we begin training now? I am eager to learn your knowledge." "Hmmm, ok then, follow me." Full walked into another hallway and began talking once more. "I will give you 3 Mana Orbs. One is Void Magic, another is Stellar Magic, and the last is Gravity Magic. You will have to focus on the orbs and once you can sense the magic coming from all three we will continue. Is that understood?" He stopped in front of a large grey door and waited for Jayson to respond. "Yes I understand." He followed Full inside and wa surprised to find a room at least 250 by 250 meters full of other people practicing either magic or melee fighting. "Here are the three orbs. I will be waiting over by the corner for you to finish.Call me once you finish." With that Full left, leaving Jayson sat on the floor with 3 orbs. Ok, so I have to sense some kind of energy coming from them. Should be simple enough. He grabbed the orb Full labeled as the Void Orb and began concentrating on it. He suddenly felt something tingle in his hands but he moved slightly and the feeling went away. Ok, I gotta concentrate. Focusing again, Jayson stayed still until he once again felt the tingle. Instead of moving though, he slowly thought of the orb as a ball of gas. In his mind, he imagined the gas slowly traveling up his arms and through his entire body. Within what felt like seconds, Jayson could feel the Void Energy traveling throughout his entire body and put the orb down.
Congratulations! You have learned the skill Void Magic!
Void Magic
Level 10% 0/10000
DescriptionThe ability to control the Void of space and bend it to your will. While weak at first, legends tell of a man that was able to bend the fabris of reality itself, but very, very slightly.
Done with one of the skills, Jayson moved on to the next two and did the same thing. When he finished he was rewarded with two more skills.
Stellar Magic
Level 10% 0/10000
DescriptionThe ability to control any spacial object. You can use it to float whener you please, or can use it to hurl an asteroid at a planet.
Gravity Magic
Level 10% 0/10000
DescriptionThe ability to control magic. With this you can well, control the gravity of a certain object. It can be used to make items lighter, or an opponent heavier.
Finally done. But I''m surprised at how quick it went. Now to go over to Full and continue. Standing up, Jayson walked over to where Full was sitting and spoke up. "I''m done with the task you have given me. It was quite a quick task honestly." He was happy at how fast he was managing to improve. "Quick? You must be mistaken young boy, its been 16 hours since you began!" Chapter 3 other book Heres chapter 3. enjoy ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "16 hours?! H...how is that possible? It felt like minutes maybe an hour at most?" Thinking back to make sure that Full wasn''t playing a joke on him, Jayson was sure only an hour max had passed. "Ahhh, so that''s what I forgot to tell you. Basically, when you first "feel" magic, it takes much, much longer than your mind perceives it to be. Because of that, it took you 16 hours while feeling like 1. You were actually quick quick too, most people take around 20 to 24 hours to learn them. Well now onto the next task." Jayson tried to say something but Full continued talking over him. I still don''t believe that it was 16 hours. How can 16 feel like 1? Wait I should pay attention to what he is telling me to do. "The first thing you will have to do is fine-tune your Gravity Magic." Picking up a piece of paper he continued. "You have to use gravity magic to cancel out the gravity on this paper, making it float." Letting go of the paper, he showed how now the paper stayed where it was, and if you blew at it, it would continue to travel in the same direction. He handed Jayson a piece of paper and told him to begin. Ok, so focus on the Gravity Magic once more. There it is, now cancel the gravity on this paper. He imagined the Gravity dispersing from the paper and opening his eyes, expecting it to float. Instead, it slowly fell down onto the ground, but stopped a few centimeters before reaching the ground. What the? How is the paper floating a few centimeters off the ground, but not floating further up? God this is harder than it looks. Going to pick up the paper, Jayson felt something. Where usually it would be normal to pick up a piece of paper, he felt some sort of, repulsion from the paper. The closer his hand got to it, the stronger it was. While it was still very, very weak, it would explain why it was able to float a few centimeters off the ground and not float in mid air. Hmmm, what if I give the paper it''s own gravity? Doing the opposite he had before, Jayson pushed Gravity Magic into the paper and created a center of gravity on it. Opening his eyes, he saw the paper begin to crumble up, but not float. Getting frustrated, Jayson began to move the magic in weird ways to try to destroy the paper. Somehow in the middle of all that, the paper floated in mid-air and Jayson had to see what he had done. Focusing on the magic, he could see that instead of moving or dispersing Gravity Magic from the paper, he had accidentally gotten rid of the station''s gravity in a small sphere, and the paper was located in the sphere. So I got rid of the gravity in an area and that''s how it worked? Huh, simple. After this realization, he received a pop-up.
Gravity Magic leveled up to Level 2.
Ok so a level up. Then another pop-up filled his vision.
New Skill acquired: Stop Gravity
Stop Gravity(Gravity Magic)
Level 10% 0/10000
DescriptionThe ability to get rid of a gravity in a certain area. As your skill level increases, the size of the cancelation area also increases. The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. Current: 10 Centimeter Diameter in a 1G Location. For each extra G, reduce diameter by half.
That''s a good skill I guess. But how much mana does it use? Guess I''ll have to check that out later. And according to this in a 1G area its a 10 centimeter diameter so if it was a 2G it would be 5 and a 3G would be 2.5 centimeters. What if it was 0.5G? Guess I''ll have to look into that later. Before he walked back to Full, he decided to see how much mana that had taken up.

Ok, so it took 10 mana to do that, and HEY my broken leg is fixed. Didn''t even realize that. I guess not moving fixed it. He walked back to Full and showed him that he had learned the skill. "Ok good job, now onto the next Gravity Magic you have to learn. Make that 100 kilogram ball weight 5 kilogram and make that 5 kilogram ball weight 100 kilogram." Walking over to the balls, he continued his training. After around 10 minutes, he had changed the weight of all the balls, but not to the point they needed to be. The 5 kilogram ball only weighed 12 kilograms, and the 100 kilogram ball still weighed 87 kilograms. No matter how much I try or different techniques I use, it still won''t go lower. Am i just not strong enough yet? Do I just have to keep doing it until it works? Continuing this pointless argument in his head, Jayson continued to push more and more magic into the balls. After a few more minutes of this, he was rewarded with a skill.
You have gained a new skill: Change Gravity
Change Gravity(Gravity Magic)
Level 10% 0/10000
DescriptionThe ability to change the gravitational force in a certain area. As your skill level increases, your control over the area and how much gravity you can change will increase. Current: Able to change gravity by 15% of it''s usual. 100kg->85kg or vise versa.
Wait so right now I can only change it by 15%, so to get it to 5kg, will need 95%?! Chapter 4 My Other Book ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5 Hours Later
Skill: Change Gravity: has leveled up!
Change Gravity(Gravity Magic)
Level 60% 1/750,000
DescriptionThe ability to change the gravitational force in a certain area. As your skill level increases, your control over the area and how much gravity you can change will increase. Current: Able to change gravity by 50% of it''s usual. 100kg->50kg or vise versa.
Uhhh, this is taking way too long. I guess learning magic won''t be as simple or quick as I expected it to be. But still, it''s way too hard to do this. By the time I get this skill to 95% won''t I be almost maxing it out? Or will I be able to keep going and change the gravity by over 100%? I guess it makes sense for increasing gravity so it may actually be possible. Coming out of his trance-like state, Jayson continued his never ending torture of practicing. The only good part that came out of it was that his Gravity Magic had become level 4, and he had gotten 5 intelligence that gave him a total of 150 Mana. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A full day later Jayson finally managed to do it.
Skill: Change Gravity: has leveled up!
Change Gravity(Gravity Magic)
Level 100% 0/2,800,000

Finally! I can complete the task! And according to the screen I can still level the skill up. I guess that means I can go past 100%. The dev wasn''t lying when he said this game had no limits. Finally, we walked back over to Full and showed him the two balls. "Good job. Now your next task will be with Void Magic. One of the important things about Void Magic is being able to quickly transport yourself from one area to another. Stand on that line, and using magic I want you to magically transport yourself to that line, 50 centimeters away. Good Luck." As he was turning around, Jayson began. "No mean to be rude, but what level exactly are you?" Full looked back and smirked. Grabbing Jayson''s head, he murmured "Analyze Pass." Jayson collapsed on the ground as information began to spread through his brain. Once the pain subsided, he was met with once again, another pop-up.
You have learned new skill: Analyze!
Analyze
Level 10% 0/1,000
DescriptionUsing this skill, you are able to determine the stats of anything you analyze. Current: Can analyze anything half your level and get full detail. After half of your level, you can''t see their skills. Anything after your level will only show name, Level, HP, and Mana.
What? I can analyze people and find their level? I guess it is quite a good skill to have. "Analyze me." Looking up, he found Full looking at him. Thinking Analyze in his head, Jayson was greeted by a very surprising status screen.

"You still have much to learn Jayson, in this world, levels as high as mine as common. Hell, most babies are born at over level 500! The reason I''m not sending you to fight is the fact that right now someone could flick you and you would die. I will make you stronger and then you will go on to fight. Now go on and work." Shushing him away, Full walked away, leaving Jayson thinking about his level. Babies are born over level 500? God this world is crazy. I have to get stronger faster is I want to catch up to other people. Making up his mind, Jayson stood on the line and began to work. He closed his eyes and imagined himself moving from one spot to the other. Adding Void Magic in between the two places, Jayson felt a connection and pulled. When he opened his eyes, he saw that he had moved, but barely. The line was 50 centimeters away from him, and he had moved only 2 centimeters. This was going to take a long, long time just as he had expected. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It has been 3 in-game days since then. In that time, he gained a series of other skills for the other magics as well.
Blink(Void Magic)

As you learn more magics, they will slowly be incorporated into your world. It is possible to send items from real life into that world and back out. This skill levels through training of other magics along with just time. Current Size: 10 Meters by 10 Meters
By now, Jayson was just resting in his room after 5 days of non-stop practice. At least I''m done with the beginning. I''m glad I got all those other stat boosts from this. It''s surprising to find out doing hard things can give you stat points. That 10 extra intelligence and wisdom sure is nice. As he was about to fall asleep he was stopped by a prompt.
Warning, you have been in game for a full real-life day. In 10 in-game minutes you will be forcefully logged off. This is only happening so we the dev''s can get your opinions on the game so far. After this, the next time you will be logged off is after 1 full real-life week.
Uhhh, back to real life. I almost forgot that this is just a fake world. Well, I''m already in bed so now I just wait. A few minutes later his vision turned black. AUTHOR NOTES: Will put full status screen at the end of next chapter along with all his skills. I think I''ll do it every 5 chapters. Chapter 5 Chapter 5 is up. Sorry for the delay, Pokemon Go too good. On a side note, I won''t be home from the 22nd to the 27th so don''t expect a chapter. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHAPTER 5-Back to Reality Opening his eyes, Jayson realized he was once again back inside of the capsule. Getting up, he stretched his body. It seems like not moving for 24 hours was still quite a pain. He also felt extremely sore. Guess what you do in-game might affect the outside world. He saw other people getting up and began to talk with the person closest to him. "Hey, how''s your experience been so far?" -Jayson "It''s been a pain in the ass. I started off as a human and decided to go for a sniper-like class, but who knew that the weapon I would have would weight 500 kgs. I''ve been strength straining for the past few days. I''m up to 200 strength, and 178 endurance but still can''t hold the weapon up for longer than 3 minutes." -??? "Sounds hard. I''ve started off as a Void-Elf, so I''ve been learning magic for the past week. My intelligence and wisdom are above 150, while my willpower is around 75. My name''s Jayson, what''s yours?" -Jayson "Oh, my names Allen. I have a friend who went for a earth magic, and he told me that it takes hours upon hours of meditating and such to do anything. I don''t have anywhere near that amount of patience." -Allen "Yeah, while it''s not physically exhausting, you end up with a migraine after trying to hard. We should probably hed back to the main hall to see why we got kicked out." -Jayson "Yeah let''s go." -Allen Walking side-by-side, the two eventually reached the main stage and took a seat like the rest of the players were doing. On the stage a timer was going down until something happened. Guess that will tell us when the dev will come out. Waiting till the timer ran, the timer disappeared and the dev appeared once more. "Hello to you all! i hope you have enjoyed the past 5 days, well 1 day, of your virtual experience. I know you all want to know why you are here, so let me begin." -Dev "Basically, today you will learn everything you need to about the game, and you guys will give us dev''s some feedback about how realistic the game has been so far. First thing you need to know, is what the game does to you in reality." -Dev "As I''m sure you can all see, your bodies are sore. This is because the game actually effects your real life body. Not only do you get stronger and your reactions get faster but over time you may gain some of your skills. Basically, if in-game you have hearing that is 1000 times stronger, in reality your hearing might become 10 times stronger than a normal humans. If you have special night-vision, your eyes in reality may change and you may also gain a very slight change. While it is ,extremely tuned down, with extraordinary skill levels you may see bigger changes." -Dev Stopping, he let it sit in. People began to speak to one another and Jayson looked at Allen. "How is this possible? Can people''s bodies change to how they are ingame? -Allen "Ok people, now that you have heard that, I will tell you the rest. As I said, your body will change, but we have limiters in place that will stop you from say, getting flight or growing an extra pair of limbs. It will probably be 2 months in reality before you guys notice the smallest of changes. In one real year, you should all have changed quite a bit. We have tested this, and it is all safe. if you have anymore questions, just let me know. Now you will all be directed to the feedback area." -Dev Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel. Walking away, he left the audience to talk between themselves. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 hours later. Jayson and Allen had gone to do the feedback together, and met up once again afterwards to speak. There, Jayson learned that Allen had found out from his master that the elves and dwarfs may go to war soon, so he would have to be careful. Getting back into the capsule, this time for a week outside or 5 weeks in-game, Jayson prepared himself for hell. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back in game now huh, time to go over to Full and see what I have to do now. Hopefully he lets me battle against something weak so I could level up. Getting off of his bed, Jayson left his room and walked once more to the training hall. It seemed that he was actually the only Void-Elf to spawn in this particular station. The closest person to him was 120 parsecs away, on the Void-Elf Main Station, Station Veta. "Finally back I see Relfem. I guess you want to go back to training?" =============================================================================== This has been a shorter chapter, but as promised here is the full status for Jayson

While it does seem like he gained a very large improvement, don''t forget that as stated last chapter, a baby is around level 500 when born so a baby technically is still stronger than him. I''ve got just the thing! Yesterday the station received 10 Wormins for study. Now that they have finished studying them, I want you to go kill them. Don''t worry, this is normal so you won''t get in trouble. -Full "If anything, it should just help you as they are each level 65 and can level you up somewhat. Just becareful, they are still extremely dangerous." -Full "Where to I go to get them?" -Jayson "Follow the orange line on the ground and it will lead you to the research station. There tell the staff that you are the person assigned to kill the 10 Wormins. Now go." -Full

DescriptionFull has given you the task of killing 10 Level 65 Wormins. Accomplish it, and he will reward you. Fail and you will continue to train.
Hmmm, a quest. Either way even if I accomplish it I''ll still end up training. At least I finally get to actually fight and kill something. Walking along the orange line, Jayson eventually came upon a large grey door with a orange outline. Pressing what he assumed was the button to open the door, the door opened up into a large white room. There were a few plants scattered around and a counter with a human-elf half breed behind. Walking up to her, he spoke. "Excuse me, I''ve been sent here to kill the 10 Wormins from yesterday..." -Jayson "Lets see here... ok, go down that hallway and the second door to the left. The wormins have already been released and are awaiting their death." -??? "Thank you." -Jayson Continuing to walk, he came upon the door she was talking about. This one was much simpler, just a metal door with a knob. Opening it, he walked inside. Looking around, he realized just how massive this room was. It had to be well over 200 meters by 500 meters, not to mention the fact that there was a door that spanned an entire wall, which most likely led to to an extension. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it He was currently in a closed of platform attached to the wall, and in the distance he could see 10 large creatures. Each was at least 50 centimeters in diameter and at least 10 meters long. They want me to fight those things?! They can almost swallow me whole! Using Analyze on them, he saw their stats.

Damn, they have over 1,000 health. And they have a rank... I wonder what Z1 means. I''ll just ask Hall later. Looking over, he saw a table that had an assortment of weapons. He could choose from snipers to pistols, and there were even some swords. Upon closer inspection, he saw that the swords used mana to reinforce themselves, and the guns used mana to shoot. Wanting to keep movement, he picked two pistols. One shot a weaker 3-round burst, but the other dealt one large blow meant to finish off enemies. Well, time to get started. Using Blink a few times, Jayson reached the ground. Utilizing Change Gravity, he made himself 50% lighter. He began to run forward and soon enough the Wormins saw him. Shooting his 3-round burst, he stared in awe as it barely scratched the Wormin.
-2 HP to Wormin. HP: 1148/1150
While busy dealing with one, he didn''t see the second one that came up behind him. He was launched forward into one of the walls and when he got up realized he had lost 100 health from only one hit. 2 more and he would be dead. Concentrating once more, Jayson used Change Gravity and doubled the gravity for the wormins. Now that they moved a lot slower, he could think about what he had to do now. If I couldn''t shoot through their shell, could I hurt them by shooting through their mouths? Looking at their mouths, he moved around and dodged them until he found a pattern to the opening and closing. Happy with this, he moved forwards to the first one. Once it opened it''s mouth, he shot it 10 times with the stronger pistol. He was rewarded with a death squeal as the creature flopped over.
You have killed a Wormin Level 65. XP gained. You are now level 7. You have 7 stat points to distribute.
Ok, this may not be as hard as I thought it to be... Chapter 7 Here''s chapter 7 of Key World. I''ll try to release chapters faster now, just don''t expect any kind of pattern. Somedays I feel like writing, other I don''t. My Other Book On another note, the book will go back to time-lapses in a few chapters but after that it will likely slow down for over 20 chapters. Enjoy. -Zono ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, this may not be as hard as I thought it to be... Not a minute passed, and I''m already regretting saying that. After killing one of the beasts, Jayson was surprised to see that instead of just blindly rushing in and trying to kill him they started top work together. While one Wormin attacked, the other would stay back and the moment Jayson dodged it would attack. Although he had been hit over 5 times now, most of the other hits only nicked him. Luckily they only seem to attack every 20ish seconds allowing me to regen over 60 health. A bit more of this and I may actually get back to max! Continuing to dodge, Jayson let his health go back to full. As he reached full, he managed to get away from them for a moment and quickly put all of his stat points into Agility. While he had been dodging well enough, he was still nowhere near fast enough to dodge them all. Damn, these guys are only level 65. At this point they can even be killed by a baby. Damn if I get killed by them. Focusing, Jayson charged at one of the Wormin. Once it got within a meter of him, it lunged forward with it''s mouth open. Utilizing , he teleported to the side and shot into the Wormin''s mouth. He didn''t kill it, but he was happy that he was learning to use his skills to dodge. How else can I use my magic to kill them? Think Jayson think! Stellar is useless here... or wait is it? That''s it! He stood still and allowed one of the monsters to come close. As it launched itself towards him, he used for the first time. Creating one in front of him and one behind him, the Wormin went through the portal and came out the other, colliding with another Wormin and biting it on accident. Wow, this is really OP. Wait never mind, this took 800 mana. I can only use this once and then have to wait a few seconds to use it again. Willing the portal away, Jayson stared at what he had started. Apparently, Wormins don''t like being hit by other Wormins, so they began to fight each other. Laughing really quickly, Jayson saw that both of them had holes in their armor and quickly shot them both a few dozen times. They both fell over, and Jayson was rewarded with more experience.
You have killed a Wormin Level 65. XP Gained. You are now level 11. You have 4 stat points to distribute.
You have killed a Wormin Level 65. XP Gained. You are now level 12. You have 1 stat points(total of 5) to distribute.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. Ok, not bad. With the other 7 left I should be able to get to level 15 at least. It''s a start. He stopped using the portal as for now it cost too much mana, and instead continued using blink and shooting into the creatures mouths. After five more minutes, he killed another two.
You have killed a Wormin Level 65. XP Gained. You are now level 13. You have 1 stat points(total of 6) to distribute.
You have killed a Wormin Level 65. XP Gained. No Level Up. You Have a total of 6 stat points to distribute.
Damn this is getting boring. So that means... MORE MAGIC! I''ve used Void, Stellar, and Gravity so far, but I feel like Grav ity isn''t doing enough by only making them heavier. Maybe I can, wait will it work? Thinking back to his time trying to get the spell to work, he remembered creating a center of gravity with his magic. Maybe he could do it again but this time inside of the Wormins. Concentrating, he thought back to what he felt when he did that, he recreated the spell, the only difference being he used much more mana. MUCH more. In a second, Jayson was left with only 5 mana. Collapsing from the drain, he looked up to see what he had done. And damn was he surprised. In front of him was what could only be known as some of the flesh from the Wormin''s. It seemed that his spell had not only killed one, but it had ripped ALL of them apart. Literally. HE watched as the body parts disappeared as he recieved some more windows.
You have killed 5 Wormin Level 65s. XP Gained. You are now level 15. You have 2 stat points(total of 8) to distribute.
You have learned a new skill: Gravity Point
Gravity Point(Gravity Magic)
Level 30% 0/100000
DescriptionThe ability to create a center of gravity. As this skill levels up, the amount of mana required for the amount of force you need created is lowered. The more mana you put in, the stronger. Current: 1 Mana = 10 Newtons of Force
Hah, I did it. They are all dead! Walking over, he looked at what items the creatures dropped. There were a few scales, but nothing came up when Jayson tried to identify them. Scowling, he left the training room to go report to Full. On the way though, he didn''t stop himself from taking a nap in his room. Chapter 8 I''m back after 2 weeks! Yay,sort of. Hopefully I now start to send out chapters more often, but with school starting in a few weeks + sports I''ll have less time to write, not as if that changes anything as I already only upload once a week. :P My Other Book: Searful So, I hope you enjoy, and be ready for the next timelapse that will occur in the next few chapters. Also, just wanted to say this, I''ll try not to make him extremely overpowered, but cmon, its a Fantasy/Sci-Fi on RoyalRoad, what can you expect. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Getting up from his bed Jayson took another look at the scales he had gotten from the Wormins. They were slightly curved, with jabbed edges and a surprisingly smooth texture. Trying to bend them, he found that they were actually extremely flexible. Hmmm, maybe I can do something with them... Wait, where do I put them? Do I have an inventory... Nope. Well then, maybe my skills can help me? Looking at his skills, he focused on the one he still hadn''t used.

Hmmm, maybe I can put the items in here. I mean it does say we can put items in there. Well, here goes nothing. Closing his eyes, Jayson slowly began to move Stellar Mana inside his body until he felt that he had finally used enough. Condensing the mana within him, he slowly felt as the mana was drained and felt his body being pulled into another area. Opening his eyes, he realized he was now in a a white room. Suddenly a flurry of messages appeared.
Congratulations on creating your own World! You are now able to change the colors of the area. With enough practice you will be able to add living things into this world, but you would need the necessary magics in order to do so. Customization will now begin.

Okay, thats decent for now I guess. Still nothing like Hall though... I cri. A few minutes of walking later he got to Full. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Authors Note: SO MANY DAMN TABLES! Chapter 9 Hey chapters! Here''s chapter 9. I planned to write more but crosscountry practice kills me, and school starts next week, and I wanna stay home. My other Book: Searful- A book about a guy in a medieval world with magic and gods. Enjoy my penguins. - Author McAuthorGuy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hey Full! I''ve killed the ten Wormins. Are you proud of me yet?" -Jayson "Proud? HAH! Proud of what, that you killed some Wormins?! Wooo, that''s a new one. Well anyway, good job. I''m guessing you''re at around level 15?" -Full Nodding, Jayson let Full continue. "Well than good. Now will begin your training." -Full He turned around, and began to walk towards another void elf sitting by a range. Unlike Full, his skin was much lighter, and his ears seemed sharp enough to cut steel. What does he mean my training just now begins? Then what was everything I''ve been doing? Was that all merely a warmup? Following Full, Jayson soon got to the other man. "Ahh, Knell(Pronounced Nell) this here is Relfem. Teach him how to use a weapon properly will you?" -Full Wait who''s Relfem? Oh wait, that''y my character name. *Facepalm* "So this is your new student? Hmmm, seems average. Well okay, give me a week and I''ll stab the movements into him." -Knell "Oh, why thank you." -Full Walking away, Jayson was left looking at a creepy smile. Oh boy, this will be fun won''t it. "Now than Relfem, what weapons do you plan on using? I suggest you pick a melee and a range instead of two ranged or vise versa as it will give you versatility but it is your choice." -Knell Well I guess I''ll continue with the pistols, and for melee... ah screw it, a sword. "I''ll go with dual pistols and than for melee sword training." -Jayson "Huh, dual pistols. This will be interesting. As for swords, what type would you want to learn? We have mana-blades which are like guns and are powered by mana, or we have the standard solid swords created by mana-repelling and such materials?" -Knell Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. "Standard I guess?" -Jayson "Good, good. Now your training begins!" -Knell As Knell walked away, Jayson was greeted with a pop-up.
Quest NameTraining
Rank3 StarRewardSword and Dual-Pistol Masteries Unlocked
DescriptionFull has gotten Knell to teach you how to use a weapon properly. For the next week he will stab the movements and knowledge into you.
Wait why is this three stars when the Wormins were only 1 star? And why did even the quest notification say he would stab the movements into me? Uhm... Following Knell, they walked towards what looked like the modern image of a big ass closet. It was roughly 10 by 15 meters, and about half a meter deep. getting closer, he noticed several small squares on it that had hand prints. Probably a hand print scanner that opens this, thing. Moving back, he watched as Knells hand touched the device. In seconds, the closet was fully opened up, showing an assortment of different weapons. Beneath each had labels indicating what they were. Moving over to the pistols, he pick a light-weight pistol and then moved over to the heavier ones. Picking the bulkier yet somehow light pistol he moved on to the solid swords. In front of him he had 5 different swords. One was a katana, and had a red shine to it. Another looks like a 5 foot long meat cleaver. Then there were two - one foot long daggers and finally a broad-sword. Katana, cause why not. I mean this is a VRMMORPG. You need to have a katana. Picking it up he moved back to Knell. Seeing him come back though, Knell smiled while pulling a large bag out of who-knows where. "Well now that you have picked your weapons," he shoved the bag into Jayson''s hands, "disassemble them." -Knell "Wait what?" -Jayson Chapter 10 Hurray here''s chapter 10! I tried to make it A BIT longer, idk if it is much longer though. Oh well. Enjoy. My other book PLEASE READ Potato -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Wait what?" -Jayson "Did you not hear me correctly? I said disassemble the weapons you picked." -Knell "But... how? And why? I don''t want to know how to make weapons." -Jayson "And that''s where you are wrong. Let me guess you were just shoving your mana into the weapons to make it fire right?" As Jayson nodded, he continued. "Exactly. You are using the most useless method of using a weapon. With mana weapons not only do you need to understand mana, but you must know how to transfer the mana throughout the entirety of the weapon. To do this, you must know how these weapons are built to know them inside and out. Once you do, you can put your mana to better use and do close to ten times the damage you currently do." -Knell Wait, so I could have been killing those things in 1 or 2 shots? God I hate myself. At least now I''ll be able to learn. And everything he said does make sense... Hmmm, even if this ends up being just a joke from him, at least I''ll learn how to make weapons. "Okay then, I''ll guess I''ll try." -Jayson "That''s the spirit! Now go on." -Knell Knell walked away leaving Jayson on the table with his weapons and the kit. Picking it up, he opened it. Inside were several screwdriver looking tools along with a small laser pointer. Guess I''ll learn what these do when I use them. Picking up the light-weight pistol, he looked around for some screws. While he didn''t find any screws, he did find many pitch black orbs placed along the edges of the weapon pieces. Maybe... Picking p the laser pointer, he pointed it at one of the small orbs. A small click rang out before the orb fell out. Putting it to the side, he took all of the orbs that surrounded the grip/magazine of the gun. Once he took the last one off, the outside casing of the grip fell off. Now that the casing was off, he could see the insides of the weapon. There was a small blue orb which attached itself to many pitch white lines that traveled along the weapon. Touching one of the lines, he could see that though it was extremely thin, it was quite rigid. Looking back to the blue orb, he sensed some mana coming off of it. I guess that crystal, or whatever it is, is what allows the weapon to take your mana to use as ammo. Quite useful. Continuing to look around, he found two screws and another orb. Taking them off, the inside of the grip detached from the rest of the gun. The grip split into three parts after that. One was the orb and white wires, while the other two parts were different. Looking closely, they seemed to be what held most of the gun together, the foundation. Layered in it were three different fabric like materials. Not knowing what they were, he put the three pieces to the side and continued on to the next part of the gun. Taking off the orbs on the upper half, the casing split in two. Putting the pieces to the side he started looking around. Once again, there were many white wires. They each connected to different parts of what seemed to be the barrel before ending. Again, the upper part split into three parts. The first was the barrel and the white wires, which he left to the side. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. The second and third part were the other foundation pieces. Looking at them, he noticed that they were different. These had 5 layers of fabrics. Pushing them to the side, he was rewarded with a pop-up.
You have learned a new skill: Disassembling!
Disassembling
Level 10% 0/10000
DescriptionThe ability to disassemble weapons. With this skill, disassembling weapons will be quicker and easier. Current: Laser orbs are highlighted. Once a weapon is disassembled, you can tell whether or not there is a problem with it.
Oh, well that''s nice. I guess that make disassembling the other two weapons easier. I''m guessing once I assemble the weapon back I''ll get an assembling skill. But I''ll hold back on that for now. I''ll put these parts to the side and start disassembling the other pistol. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few hours later he was done. The process was much the same, the only difference was the amount of fabric layers in the foundation and that the blue orb along with white wires were bigger, probably to deal with the fact that this pistol shot heavy bullets. Other than a level up in Disassembling which did nothing, nothing else happened. Welp that was surprisingly easy. But now, the sword. I don''t even know if this thing can be disassembled or not. Looking around, he noticed two screws and one laser orb on the hilt. Taking those off, the weapon split in three. One of the parts was the blade, which he put to the side. The other part was the outermost of the hilt which he also put to the side. Looking back to the last part, he saw his favorite blue orb and white wires. I wonder what these do. This is a physical weapon so it has no need for mana... unless I can power it up with mana? Oh well. I guess this means I have to start assembling. I''ll start with the light pistol since i disassembled it first. Moving over, he slowly began to put the pieces together. Once or twice, he put the pieces the wrong way, but managed to quickly fix it. Once he was done, he put the pistol to the side.
You have learned a new skill: Assembling!
Assembling
Level 10% 0/10000
DescriptionThe ability to assemble weapons. With this skill, assembling weapons will be quicker and easier. Current: Will remember one portion of the assembling process. Can replace outer casings.
Huh, so I can replace some of the parts once this becomes strong enough, that''s useful. Continuing, he put together the heavier pistol and the sword before calling Knell over. Chapter 11 Chapter 11 is up! Sorry for the wait, school and me being lazy take a toll xD. Hope you enjoy the chapter, leave feedback, negative or positive, and enjoy! My Other Book <--------- Read it please, it''s not THAT bad... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Knell!" -Jayson Looking around as he waited for Knell, Jayson spotted a few things he would have to look at later before Knell appeared. "I see that you have finished assembling the weapons back. That''s good. Later, after you have fired off a few shots, inspect them. If you do it now you won''t see anything, because you have to check how much damage you do with the amount of mana you put in." -Knell "Now then, if you remember from what I said before,, to fully utilize your weapons, you must image the mana going through the weapons insides. I know that you have seen the mana crystal and the mana conduits. Now go over to those targets and practice." -Knell Looking over, he saw Knell pointing over to two separate targets. One was standing on a large 10 meter by 10 meter platform, while the other looked like a target for guns. I guess one is for the sword while the other for the pistols. Walking over to the sword one, he slashed it with the sword without doing anything to it. The dummy had a slight scratch on it from the attack. Next, he infused 50 points of mana into the sword before slashing. This time, the slash left a 2 centimeter deep gash, but it quickly vanished as if auto-regenerating.Finally, he lowed the mana used to 10 and gave a quick slash before inspecting the weapon.
NameNovice Infused Blade
Rank1Recommanded Levels1-1000
DescriptionThis Novice Infused Blade is your basic blade. It can be used to attack with or without infusing it with mana. The more mana you infuse it with, the stronger it becomes. Normal Damage: 100+(0.2*Strength) Infused Damage: 150+(0.2*Strength)+(5*Mana Infused)
Okay then, it seems that if I infuse it, it automatically does 1.5x more damage without adding the extra damage from Strength or how much mana I infuse. Moving on, he began to walk towards the other target. Once he was 10 meters away, he noticed that there was a red line with text under it. The text read "Distance Required". Staying there, he picked up his lightweight pistol. Infusing 1 mana into it, he pulled the trigger, only for nothing to happen. Dissapointed, he began to put more mana in. Once he put 10 mana in, it finally fired. The bullet moved quite rapidly and continued to speed up before it finally hit the target, leaving a small dent that healed. Using more mana, he soon moved up to 100. Might as well go crazy... Shooting, he noticed as the bullet moved much faster than before and was much bigger. Once it collided, a good portion of the target got blown off. The dent was atleast 5 centimeters deep and 10 wide. Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work! Not bad... now to inspect it.
NameNovice Light Pistol
Rank1Recommanded Levels1-1000
DescriptionThe Novice Light Pistol is your normal weak ranged weapon. The more mana put into it, the stronger the bullets become, though once you surpass 1,000 infused mana, the weapon starts to get quickly damaged, or even destroyed. Damage: 10*Mana
Oh, well that''s simple... but at least it has a limit. I''m guessing guns in the future either have a higher limit or do more damage per mana. Putting the lightweight pistol away, he took the heavy pistol out and did the same. The only difference was that you needed to put at least 20 mana into it for it to fire, unlike the lightweight which only needed 10. And the delay between when he pulled the trigger and when the bullet shot was also slower. While with the lightweight pistol, maybe 10 milliseconds passed before it shot, on the heavy it was at least 30 seconds. I guess the mana has to form into the bullet before it shoots, and it IS a heavy pistol... Once he was done, he inspected it too.
NameNovice Heavy Pistol
Rank1Recommanded Levels1-1000
DescriptionThe Novice LHeavy Pistol is your normal weak ranged weapon. The more mana put into it, the stronger the bullets become, though once you surpass 750 infused mana, the weapon starts to get quickly damaged, or even destroyed. Damage: 15*Mana
Well, it''s decent. It can handle less mana, but that''s probably to balance out the extra damage it does. Putting the guns aside, he began looking at how he would keep them on his belt. After a few minutes, he put his heavy pistol on his right and then his light pistol on his left with the sword strapped just a bit below it. Once again, he walked back to Knell, thinking about other things. Why didn''t I get a skill from learning how to use the weapons properly? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ AN: Welp, once again a short chapter. I''m such a bad author :(. Well, hope you enjoy, leave feedback and thanks for reading! -Zono Chapter 12 Chapter 12 is here! Enjoy! And thank you for getting this book over 500 average views :D As someone who writes just to write, I enjoy seeing that some people care about what I write. thomasoien Wrote: [ -> ]seems like either you or he forgot that the quest he has now unlocks masteries if that relates to the weapon skills.
maybe both of us forgot xD. But I had a plan to what would happen with the masteries no worries. Hope you guys enjoy! Drop criticism if you feel the need too! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Why didn''t I get a skill from learning how to use the weapons properly? Have I not finished the quest yet? While he was thinking he didn''t notice that Knell had left and came back once again. In his hand was a large blue crystal with purple and black runes flowing around it like moons around a planet. "Now that you have learned the ins and outs of your weapons, you will learn how to fight using them!" - Knell "What do you mean learn to fight using them? I know how to swing a blade and I also know how to shoot... Surely you don''t plan on making me waste my time?" - Jason "You''ve learned how to use your weapons properly. Very well then, show me how you will use those three weapons at the same time. Also, show me some skills you have for fighting with those weapons." - Knell For a few seconds Jason just stood there, staring at Knell''s face, dumbstruck. It was mentally impossible to him for him to forget something as simple as that. He knew the weapons, but he had no fighting style to use with them. "Since you are going for both ranged and melee attacks, I will need to show you how to switch weapons and combat styles mid-fight. If you will follow me to the dummies." - Knell Following close behind, Jason couldn''t stop but think about how he actually planned to fight with those weapons. I may have just made everything much, MUCH harder for me than I expected. "Okay now, I want you to show me some techniques. I will tell you what to do, but you much do the techniques on your own. Firstly, shoot with both pistols and then quickly switch to your sword and do a diagonal slash from the dummies shoulder to its hip." - Knell Well, that''s not too hard. Taking his pistols out, he quickly pulled both triggers. As the bullets sped forward, he quickly put the guns back in their holster before taking the sword out. Imbuing it with mana, he charged forward before slashing against the dummy. At least, that''s what he planned to do. A few meters away from the dummy, as he attempted to lift the sword up, he lost balance and ended up face-planting. "You can''t even run properly and you attempt to use 3 weapons?! Boy will this be fun!" - Knell Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.Knell was on the ground laughing while Jason could feel the stares of many other people on his back. Picking himself back up, he sadly went back to where he started. "Hoooo, now that I''m done laughing let me tell you about the first problem. You took too long to switch from pistol to sword. When you switch, you want to be able to be in position to attack with your sword and already be in range before you even take it out." - Knell How can I get there faster? Maybe if I run towards the target while shooting and switch when I get close? I''ll try that and see how it goes. Taking his pistols back out, he quickly ran forward. A quarter of the way to the target, he quickly pressed the trigger. Without waiting for the bullets to hit, he put the pistols away before taking the sword out again. Gripping it with both hands, he slashed downwards once he was within range. This time, he hit, but still managed to mess up. When he was switching the weapons, accidentally he rotated the sword in his hands, so instead of attacking with the sharp part of the blade, he hit it with the flat side, barely causing a dent in the dummy. "Well you were much better this time, you just need more practice. Try again." - Knell Sighing, Jason walked towards the start getting ready to start again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 7 Hours later... "Well, you finally did it. Congrats!" - Knell After a few hours of repeated failing, Jason had finally gotten the technique down. The thing that took the longest was learning how to switch weapons quickly. In the end, he would shoot, flip the guns cowboy style into the holster, grab the sword with his left hand and quickly taking it out of the sheath and tossing it into his right hand. This way, it only took him a second to switch from one to the other. It was still a bit long, but good enough for now. Back to the exact technique then. He would shoot while running. As his hand lowered to his hips to put the guns away, he would rotate his body to the left a full 360 degrees, so that once he pulled out his sword, he could use the momentum fro the run along with the moment from the twist to cut into the dummy. With enough practice, he soon got the footing down.
Congratulations! You have created your own technique for Fighting Style: Sun-Dancer! Technique has been named: Whirlwind Strike. To fully unlock the Fighting Style: Sun-Dancer, you must create or learn 9 more techniques for it.
Congratulations! You are the first person in Ley World to discover the Fighting Style: Sun Dancer. As a result of this, you are now considered the Grand-Sage of this fighting style. You can keep the knowledge to yourself or bestow it to a disciple.
Wait what? Chapter 13 Hey there! It''s been quite a while since the last chapter. Sorry about that, I''ve been quite lazy + school... If only I could stay home and sleep for the rest of eternity, basically a coma. Just put me in a coma. Well, I hope you enjoy the chapter! P.S: Read my other book : Searful! P.S.S The above book, ^, is not over, though the last chapter seems like an end, + I''m going to start editing the chapters once i upload this, as they are quite, well bad. Btw, I don''t know if you are still reading this Mister aattss, aka the guy who reviewed, while I could care less about whether or not you change the rating, this is a very specific reason for why the characters are bland and everything seems so boring and cliche. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, so not only am I now the "Grand-Sage" of a fighting style, I also need to create 9 more techniques to fully unlock it, yet I already can teach it to people without it even being complete, or started for that fact. Jayson sat there pondering on what to do with this new found knowledge. The most sensible thing to do was create more movements for the fighting technique, but he didn''t know what to do. Maybe more weird movements? It worked the first time... "Well Relfem, now that you have created one technique, you need to create more. Once you do, you will have truly learned how to use those weapons. For now, I will go, I''ll be back in 10 hours. I don''t expect you to fully master anything. instead, come up with 9 techniques and practice them a bit. Once I come back I''ll tell you how to improve and fix upon them." - Knell Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation. Why did he just leave like that? Isn''t he supposed to be teaching me and helping me? Oh well. Time to come up with more things. But it''d kinda weird, so far everyone here feels so weird. it must just be my imagination. Looking back at the dummy he began to think on some moves that he could create and test out. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 Hour later... Well, I got one more idea, now to see how well it works. First off, grab my sword and charge forward and slash upwards diagonally from the left foot to the right shoulder. He did this a couple times until finally he was able to do it without falling. Now, after the slash, I will spin a full 360 counterclockwise and slash horizontally along the chest of the dummy. He began doing only that movement, and after a good ten minutes of getting a good speed and feel with it he combined the two movements. After a while longer he could do them nicely without messing up. And now finally, after the spin, quickly flip backwards. Mid flip, throw the sword up in the air and pull out your guns. Aim for the head and shoot before putting the guns away and grabbing the sword thats still midair. Now here comes the hard part, doing all of that mid-flip+in about 2 seconds. Yeah... I''ll need Knell''s help for this. I won''t even try for now. Sighing, he began to think of the other 8 techniques he had to make. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 14 This new website kinda sucks because the table editor doesn''t work anymore :( Btw typing this with a sprained wrist is quite hard. Enjoy the chapter! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few hours later he finally had another technique created. This one would be much simpler but he would have to use Gravity Magic along with it. First off, he threw his sword into the air a good 5 feet above him. He pulled out both of his pistols and rapid-fired three shots with both. Putting the pistols away, he watched the blade slowly descend back towards him. Timing it correctly, the moment the bottom of the hilt faced him, he slammed his palm into it, and using gravity magic, propelled the sword forwards by repelling it from his hand. The sword flew forward with great speed, but missed the dummy, by a lot. I was close... All I need now is more aim. God, it''s been so long but I still have barely created any techniques. Can defensive techniques and some simple combos work? I''ll test that out right now. Grabbing his sword in his left hand and the heavy pistol in the other, he walked towards the dummy. Once he was 15 meters away, he began shooting the dummy with the heavy pistols while zigzagging towards it. Once he got close, he cut an X into the center of the dummy before putting his leg onto the center of the X and pushing away. The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. As he was pushed away, he charged up a large shot in his pistol and once his feet touched the floor he let it shoot. There, that''s another one. much simpler and easier to use. But now how would I create a defensinve technique? I don''t think the dummy can attack me... or wait. Walking up behind the dummy, Jayson remembered seeing Knell press a few buttons. Looking at the back of the dummy, he saw a floating blue hologram. There were options to change the size, shape, density, and even movement of the dummy. At the very bottom was a stance option that went from still to expert. He moved it to beginner and got back. He watched as suddenly the dummy began to move. It took on a basic Tae-Kwon-Do front stance. Out of nowhere, the dummy charged forward before launching a flurry of punches and kicks towards Jayson. While none of them hurt, the sheer amount that hit him managed to push him back and bruise him. Well damn. Now that I can probably create a defensive stance, how do I want it to work. The guns will probably be useless, so maybe a Blade-Dancer type spinning defense? Grabbing his sword in both hands, he prepared once again. This time, when the dummy charged forwards he was ready. The first two punched were sent flying towards his face. Ducking to the left, he dodged the right punch. Using his sword, he deflected the left punch before kicking the dummy in the stomach, sending it a few feet back. It quickly Moved back forwards before launching a front-kick at him. He moved to the side, barely dodging the kick. He brought up his sword to hit the dummy along the head, but another kick found itself planted straight into his solar plexus. As he pushed himself off the floor he began rethinking what he was going to do. Okay, I keep trying to be offensive in the middle of the defense. I''m also wayyyy too rigid. I have to elarn to flow around the hits so that eventually I might be able to dodge bullets... eventually. Quickly picking himself back up, he took a deep breath as the dummy moved back it. This time, it send a punch at his face before attempting a side-kick. Moving his head to the side, he dodged the punch by a breath before walking forward into the dummies opening. The dummy''s kick couldn''t hit him here, so he watched as it changed its fighting style mid-fight. The moment it''s leg touched the floor once more, it took a southpaw boxing stance and sent a quick jab towards his chin. Blocking it with his sword, He quickly spun clockwise away from the dummy, almost getting hit by another jab in the process. Smiling, Jayson continued doing this for a few more minutes before he got hit once more. Chapter 15 So I found this website, ==>wordcounter.net<== that lets me speak into my mic instead of typing, and writing has become so much easier. It also has spell check, tells you how long it would take to read what you have written, plus other really convenient things. Now that I can use that to write, I''m going to slowly start increaseing the word count per chapter. Maybe by 200-300 per chapter so that I can get chapters with over 2000 words in 2 weeks or so. I''m still messing around with the tables a bit, but next chapter should have some. Hope you enjoy! -Zono ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Well, well, well, look what we have here. Looks like you found the training dummies'' attack mode." -Knell Turning around Jayson spotted Knell. "Oh what, yes I did. It took me awhile but I finally managed to think up some new techniques. They are still really bland and hard to do but with practice they should become better and smoother." -Jayson "Well then why don''t you show some of them to me?" -Knell Something feels off about him but I''m not sure what it is. Sooner or later I''ll find out though. Now then I guess it''s time to show him some of it some of my techniques so he can help me improve them. He picked his sword up from the ground and got ready to show off his new techniques. He took a stance before charging forward and sent a diagonal slash towards it. But he forgot that the dummy was still in attack mode. Out of nowhere the dummy sent a kick, right into his groin. Going in fetal position Knell came over laughing and gave him something. "Here take these. They are pills made especially for guys when they''re kicked in the nuts. It''ll take the pain away in a few minutes just stand up and eat them." - Knell Standing up Jayson who took the pills and got back up ready to go once again. Quickly turning the dummy back into defensive mode he took a stance once again. Charging forward he swung diagonally from it''s left leg to it''s right shoulder. Quickly spinning around he sent a slash across the dummy''s chest. After that he quickly jumped backwards, threw his sword up in the air and pulled out his guns. He quickly shot them but the bullets missed by a meter. As he was putting his guns away and got ready to grab his sword that was still in the air he felt something sharp stabbing into his back. You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version. Before it could dig any deeper Knell dashed forwards and quickly grabbed the sword and pulled it out of Jayson''s back. "Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" - Jayson Jayson scream as felt the blade being abruptly ripped out of him. Holding the place where the blade had penetrated his skin he felt a long and deep gash. "You''re an idiot you know that. I told you to create some new techniques. You shouldn''t be trying to go this complex so quickly. You need to first create your basics and then move forward. What you need to do now is increase your dexterity and your intelligence. If you could think faster and move your body in a smooth fashion you will be able to grab things and do all of these techniques a lot better. For now just wait for that to heal." - Knell An hour later. "Huh. I completely forgot that fighting styles need to create the basics first. How should I do them?" - Jayson "To create the basics instead of trying to create new techniques and new combos which is what you''re doing right now you should focus on singular strikes and singular movements. Once you''ve mastered them to a certain point even they will be considered their own techniques. For example, the 360 slash that you did before, you should try to keep doing that technique until you almost mastered it so you could do that at a faster pace and so you can do with any bladed object, even a piece of wood. Once you master the technique you will be able to find ways to improve it and you will be able to use it in new ways. Even something as simple as standing and not moving or a breathing method can become a technique once you do it enough." - Knell Huh, something as simple as a breathing method. Maybe a meditation method that improves your focus? I guess I''ll ask him. "So what if i create a meditation method that helps improve your concentration and makes your body move at a faster pace will it be considered its own technique? Or will it be part of the fighting style instead of a technique?" - Jayson "It will be considered a technique once you master to a certain point, as I''ve said a couple times now. While it will take a very long time to master it to that point, once you do it will overall it will improve your fighting style and even your other techniques will become better because of it even if they have no correlation. For now here''s a tip. Just focus on the singular strike, a singular stance, or singular thing that you want to do even if all you do is sit down and stare at a wall for a few hours so be it, do it." - Knell With that Knell walked away leaving Jayson thinking. So focus on a singular thing... I guess the most fundamental thing is a state of mind so time to start making a breathing method. Sitting down Jayson closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Sensing the mana around him he created a visual map. As he was breathing he began to change how far he would sense the mana. Each time he would breathe in the area would contract, and each time he exhaled it would increase. He began doing this for a while and after a few minutes he finally got a good rhythm down. Now came the hard part. He started taking deeper breathes as he watched the radius of his vision decrease. It started at 50 meters and was extremely vague. Soon, it shrunk down to 10 meters. He could now see extremely small details in the ground and could feel the disturbances in the air. Soon though, he could no longer keep the area that small and detailed and his concentration broke. Sighing, he sat that down ready to continue. Taking another deep breath he began to contract the circle once again, but this time he stopped at 20 meters. Now that he was here he slowly began to focus more on the area and to try to limit how much is radius changed every time he would breathe in and out. Soon it would barely changed by a centimeter. Happy with where he had gone he got up and realized how hungry he was. Walking outside of the room he was in he followed the path that led to the cafeteria, ready to eat. Chapter 16 Heres the new chapter! I accidentally posted it before editing it, and had to quickly delete it :P The story is finally starting to move along, and soon the "tutorial stage" will be over and he will move on. For now though, he has to keep practicing. If you enjoy leave a comment or rate the story! Thanks for reading! - Zono ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Walking into the cafeteria Jayson spotted a lone man. The man didn''t look to be a dark elf or an elf at all. Instead he looked much more similar to a dwarf. What''s a dwarf doing here? Isn''t there some type of normal hate between elves and dwarves? Maybe that''s why he''s sitting alone but then again... Getting into line he grabbed his plate of food which consisted of some gray mush, a carton of water and a slice of bread. He quickly walked over to the door and sat down opposite of him. The dwarf casually just looked up and then greeted Jayson. "Well hello there. I''ve never seen you at the station before. Are you new here? Oh wait you must be one of those. I still don''t know what to call you guys." - dwarf "You found more people like me?" - Jayson Jayson was surprised as this was the first time an npc talked to him about players. "Why yes. From the planet I came from a good thirty or so of you people showed up. You''re all quite intriguing. What''s your name? Mine''s Rel''bog." - Rel''bog "Oh, my name is relfem. So if you''re from a different planet why are you here?" - jayson "I usually just come to deliveries but sometimes I have to help repair the station which is pretty hard considering how big this place is." - rel''bog "This place isn''t that big. Maybe a few square kilometers but..." - jayson He was cut off before he could continue. "Oh well for you it''s small but that''s cuz you only have access to a very small portion of the station. This station can hold over a million people, and is roughly 100 square kilometers, per floor." - Rel''bog Wait what? Over a hundred square kilometers? Even from the outside this place doesn''t seem that big. Unless... Could it be that the developers are sizing everything down for these first two months just like they only allowed us to be in one galaxy? "Huh, that''s pretty interesting. What are you exactly? Oh wait that sounds really rude." - Jayson "Hah. It''s okay. Believe it or not even some dwarfs like space. Just like you''re a void elf, I''m a void dwarf. While you guys possess much more stellar, gravity and void magic capability than me, I still get to keep my earth and metal affinities." - Rel''bogSupport the creativity of authors by visiting Royal Road for this novel and more. "Oh, okay then. How did you end up working as a... Delivery dwarf?" - Jayson "I was born in the planet that I currently reside in, and I''ve always had a fondness for flying through space so I decided to go with that. Now enough about myself. Tell me a little bit about you." - Rel''bog "Well I came here a couple weeks ago, and so far all I''ve been doing is training. The people here seem nice, but the place, it all feels kind of weird. Not sure why. I finished training my magical a while ago so now I''m just working on my weapon capabilities so that sooner or later I could go on an expedition to start leveling up. The only things I''ve killed are a few Wormins and those are really weak." - Jayson "Oh then you''re still a pretty low-level huh. Well it''s not too bad if you train yourself you sooner or later we''ll be able to fight things a much higher level than you. I remember killing a level 2000 beetle well i was only level 600. Good old days. Now-a-days I''ve gotten rusty on my fighting skills so I doubt I could still kill anything even at my own level." - Rel''bog "Well then I guess what I''m doing isn''t that useless. Probably soon I can go out and do something it''s gotten boring just staying here and practicing. Welp this is the end of my lunch I guess. I''ll see you tomorrow? - Jayson "Yeah. See you tomorrow kid. And good luck, you''ll need it in a place like this." - Rel''bog Rel''bog murmured the last phrase but Jayson was still able to hear it. Looking back at the man, he watched him slowly look down and sigh disappointingly. I wonder what that was about. I have always had a weird feeling about this place didn''t seem that bad. As long as it doesn''t do with me or anyone or should I say anything that I care about then it''s not my issue. Someone else could deal with it. I''m just here to explore and grow stronger. If someone gets in my way I''ll cut them down, just like the dogs they are. Walking back into the training room he decided to think of a new technique. Pulling out his sword, he held it a foot away in front of him. Taking a deep breath, he quickly began. Using gravity magic, he lightened himself to only a tenth of his previous weight. Pushing forward with both of his legs he stabbed forward, before using magic again how to launch himself even faster. He flew across the room and impaled the dummy. His sword and got lodged into the dummy all the way down to the hilt. Smiling at himself he got back and did it again and again and again and again. Soon he had it down. After his tenth attempt, he began to use gravity magic to change his trajectory. At first it was just a few minor tweaks, but as he continued it soon turned into a full spins. He could now shoot towards the target, and then turned a total of 50 degrees. It wasn''t a lot but it allowed him to quickly change and move in different directions in case his enemy moved. Happy with what he had done, to begin to change the technique. Instead of stabbing forward, he launched himself forward and sent a horizontal strike towards the dummy. Since he had more practice with the technique now, it was easier for him to turn in mid-air. Past that he slowly began to incorporate different attacks. At one point, he jumped up words a good 10 metres into the air. He sent an overhead strike while doubling the weight of his sword and pushing himself downwards. What resulted was him cutting off the dummies entire left arm, also injuring himself when he collided with the floor. Groaning he got back up. Okay now instead of singular strike so how about I try to combine them. Maybe a diagonal slash followed by an overhead. Getting back in position, he flew himself forward and sent a diagonal strike. He dashed past the dummy and launched himself upwards sending an overhead strike. The two slashes intersected and what came out was a critical hit. A large plus could be seen on the dummies chest where the two slashes connected. Backing off Jayson receive a prompt.
Congratulations! You have created your own technique for Fighting Style: Sun-Dancer! Technique has been named: GravityStrikes. To fully unlock the Fighting Style: Sun-Dancer, you must create or learn 8 more techniques for it.
Chapter 17 Finally, I''ve finished with another technique. I guess with this I will be able to use my gravity magic to quickly propel myself towards the enemy multiple times in a short amount of time. Sitting down on the ground, Jayson began to think about what to do next. I think I''d like to start leveling up. But I don''t think they would let me go out by myself until I create this fighting style. I would continue doing this but it''s just becoming a waste of time. If I don''t have any battle experience, I won''t be able to create good techniques. I guess for now I will ask Knell what else to do. Standing back up, Jason left the dummy room and then walked back to the main training room. There, he spotted Knell in the corner talking with two other dark elves. One was wearing bright white clothing that had gold interlacing. The other was wearing black clothes that had red interlacing. Compared to Knell, they looked much more formal, and judging by how he was cowering beneath them, they probably had a higher position than him. Jayson stayed back and watched, waiting until the two men left to go up to Knell. "Knell, I know I have to create this fighting style, but it be easier for me if I had some actual battle experience and fought some things. I know that I''m still extremely weak but maybe if I went down to the planet I could find a few more Wormins to kill. Not only will they give me a bit of battle experience, but they will let me level up." - Jayson "It might not be a bad idea. You have to have a few people come with you of course, but if you do find a wormin nest they could probably just stay outside and watch to make sure that no stronger things come after you. For now just go meditate a bit and in a few hours I''ll tell you what happens." - Knell As they walked away, Jayson kept wondering about what he was talking to his superiors about. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few hours later... As Jason heard someone approaching him he opened his eyes to see Knell standing before him. "Guess what Ja... Relfem. You can go out to the planet to fight. Two men, Rogerson & Johnson, will be sent with you to make sure that nothing bad happens. We will be teleporting you guys down near a wormin nest. The Nest should have anywhere from 100 - 1000 Wormins inside of it. At the very bottom you''ll probably come across the Wormins''Queen but by then you will be much stronger and hopefully have a much greater battle sense. Those two men standing by the equipment rack are Rogerson & Johnson. They will give you some armor to wear and when you guys are ready you will go down. Good luck." - Knell Not waiting for Knellto say anything else Jaysonran towards where the two men were standing. One of them looked towards Jayson. "So you''re Relfem? Nice to meet you. I''m Johnson." - Johnson Johnson was an average individual and was wearing a deep blue cuirass. Strapped to him were two long assault rifles that look like M14''s. The man he assumed to be Rogerson was standing next to Johnson was wearing a black trench coat and had a sniper attached to his back. Rogerson''s main point was his shiny bald head. Both had multiple scars adorning their faces and they both look like they were battle-hardened. "Yes I''m Relfem and I was told we would be going down to the planet?" - Jayson "Yes we will. Wewill be standing guard over the entrance to the wormins''nest while you go inside and clear it. Takethis." - RogersonA case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Rogerson had a deep booming voice, unlike Johnson''s gentle voice. He handed to Jayson aleather chest piece. It was a brightly colored, and though it was made out of leather, it seems to be hard as a rock. Putting the chest piece on Jayson followed Rogerson & Johnson to a door. Opening the door, they walked down the long white passage until they reached another large room. In this room however, there stood multiple raised platforms which people were constantly coming in and coming out of. "Those are the teleportation pads. They take us to the planet and back." - Johnson As they walked onto one of the smaller platforms, Rogers and quickly input something into the computer. In a few seconds a bright blue light flashed over them. When Jason opened his eyes he realized he was standing somewhere else. Looking around, he realized he was in a Barren desert. To one side there was a large mountain that obscured most of his view, andall that there was on the other side''s were more and more rolling desert. Looking around a bit more, he saw what he assumed to be a cave. "That''s the wormin nest." - Rogerson Following the two towards the nest, they stopped at the entrance. "This is as far as we go kid. Now it''s up to you good luck." - johnson Taking a deep breath, Jayson walked in.
You have entered the dungeon: Wormin''s Nest. | Dungeon Rank: Z | Danger for someone of your skill level: High |
This place is a rank Z dungeon? It still calculated that it is hard for me. Well I guess we''ll just have to see. The worminsI fought before were all level 65. I can expect them to get stronger as I go down, and the queen will probably be much higher level than me, maybe even at the 500''s. But it shouldn''t be too difficult. By the time I get there I will also have leveled up a lot. I still don''t know what to spend my stats on though. Maybe more dexterity to help me with my fighting style? As he was thinking he didn''t realize that he walked right into a pack of wormins. As a loud Screech assaulted his ears, he broke from his trance and looked around. He had seven wormins around him. Identifying them they all seem to be around level 50. Quickly concentrating, he pulled out his two pistols and started firing at the nearest one. In a matter of seconds it was already dead. As a prompt appeared in his vision he quickly showed it away. Using gravity magic to push himself backwards, he continued to fire at all the wormins. When all but one wereleft he put his pistols away and took out his sword. Time to work on my gravity strikes. Pushing himself forward, he kept his word to his left. As the wormin pushed into him, he hopped sideways and sent a diagonal slash with his sword. Once the slash connected, he quickly turned around and uses gravity magic to push himself towards the wormin once more. He slashed once again and began repeating that. Once each of his slashes ended, he would quickly charge at the worminand once more and slash again. Soon, he got the rhythm down. Each time he would charge forward he would jump off the ground, and every time his feet would touch the ground he would use his gravity magic again. This resulted in him slashing at the wormin multiple times in a second from multiple directions. Soon the wormin, got tired and dove into the ground. Using his meditation, he left the area of his magic sight to 30 meters in radius. While it wasn''t very detailed, something the size of the wormin could still be easily seen. Soon, he felt the wormin''s presence coming from his right. Jumping upwards, he took out both of his pistols, and shot down words at the ground. The moment the wormincame out of the ground with its mouth wide open, it ate 2 bullets and finally died. Well that was much easier than my first fight. I''ve also gotten more comfortable with gravity strikes this is quite useful. Now I just need to replenish my mana = because it seems using gravity stirkes still takes up a bit too much of it. After meditating for a few minutes and recovering his mana, Jayson continue down into the hive. Looking around he was impressed on how big this cave was. The walls had to be at least 10 meters high, and the corridors 20 meters wide, and that the smallest he had seen yet. The big room where you fought the 7 woman''s, was at least fifty meters wide. The walls were all a bleached yellow in color, and we''re so ragged, that if you touch them you''d probably cut yourself. Soon enough he walked up on another large group of wormin. This time though, there were 10 of them and they were all closer to level 70. Damn, this place is getting harder a lot faster than I expected it to. And I don''t think they''ll expect it either, or else you wouldn''t have sent me down here. The wormin''s levels might actually rise over 500, and thats only for the normal ones. Chapter 18 Crouching behind a pillar, Jayson thought of what to do. *There''s 10 of them and they are all stronger than the previous ones. I''ll try to use gravity strikes and hit the ones along the outside before pulling them to a center-point with gravity magic.* Pulling out his sword and his light pistol, he moved forwards. He put two quick bullets into the nearest Wormin before running past it, leaving a deep cut along it''s body. As it''s ear-splitting scream went off, Jayson began using Gravity Strikes. He would move forward at a hard to see speed slashing away at the outsides of the Wormins. While it wasn''t doing too much damage, they were mostly all bleeding. As he continued to circle them and hit them, one reared back and swung it''s tail at him. He jumped sideways and dodged it easily, but he landed on a pile of blood. Unable to keep his balance at his speed, he quickly fell to the ground. As he picked his head up, he saw that 5 of the Wormins had charged at him. *I can''t dodge this normally.* He repelled himself with magic watching as the Wormins collided into each other. One of them was unlucky and was hit by the other 4, killing it. Before they could react, Jayson used magic to quickly double their weight. Watching his mana slowly trickle down, he charged forwards once more, hoping to get this over with quickly. Since the 4 Wormins were slowed, he managed to shoot a few bullets into their mouths, quickly disposing of them. He had 5 left to kill. Looking around, he realized he was surrounded. Grabbing both of his swords, he began to charge up a few shots. The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. 5 seconds later, the first one charged forward. Pointing both of his guns at it, he let the bullets fly. Instead of normal shots like before, because he had charged them up, they were much deadlier. The downside was the cost also went up exponentially. Those two shots did 5x the normal damage, but cost 12x the normal mana to shoot. Too bad for the Wormin, that those two were enough. As the Wormin died, he started turning around. *I''m dumb.* He could do nothing but wait until the flying corpse of the Wormin slammed into him. he was sent careening down the wall, before coming to a stop against the wall. He coughed up a bit of blood, and tried to stand up. Immediately he felt a sharp pain in his lower back. *Shit, I may have broken a rib.* Wiping the blood off his face, he began to bombard the Wormins in shots. Anywhere they went he would aim and shoot them. Before long, the other 4 had died too.
You have killed 10 Wormins Level 70ish. You are now level 24. You have 9 stat points to distribute.
*Really devs, 70ish? That''s the best you could do? Damn.* Sitting down, he began to finger his back trying to find where he broke something. Soon he found that his left bottom rib had a fracture. it didn''t snap in half, but it was still a fracture. *I''m going to keep going. I barely wasted 5% of my mana, and the hit only took 10% of my health. I just have to stop being so dumb about everything. I told myself before I began playing that I would be one of the strongest. And I will accomplish that even if I have to kill an entire planet to do it. Well maybe not, I''m not that coldblooded. At least I think.* Getting up with a grin, he began jogging towards the next room. In a few minutes, he got there, completely short of breath. *Ok, tip. Increase endurance.* Waiting to get his breath back, he looked at who he would be fighting this time. In front of him were 5 Wormins. 4 of them were level 95. The other one was special. it was called a Mel Wormin. It was level 120 and almost 1.5x the size of the normal Wormins. *Ok. The 4 level 95''s should be easy enough. But that Mel Wormin will most likely be trouble.* As he was thinking, he didn''t notice that someone had come up behind him. An arm went around his throat as a wet mat was pushed against his face. As he struggled, he slowly began to get drowsier before he finally collapsed. The person picked up his limp body before quickly running away from where he was. Chapter 19 In a dark room stood 6 men. All six had plain silver masks covering their face. The only important part of the masks was their voice changer. The six men looked onto a green hologram floating in-front of them. The hologram portrayed the image of Jayson. "Has he been sent out to capture Jayson?" - Unknown 1 "Yes. By now Jayson must have gone deep enough into the cave to get injured. Due to those injuries even a man as weak as him can capture him. I mean come-on, he has less than 1,000 strength. He could stab me with his sword and it would feel like a pinprick. I can kill him with a simple breathe. Damn peasant he is." - Unknown 2 "Calm down. It doesn''t matter how weak or strong he is, we just need to capture him. The reward obviously outranks the cost. The man cost 100 credits to hire while we will get 100,000 from capturing him. It''s not my issue about why that man is wanted, as long as I get a reward I''ll do anything." - Unknown 3 "Blah, blah, credits this, credits that. All you care about is money, There must be some reason why someone would pay so handsomely for this man, and I intend to figure that out before we hand him over." - Unknown 4 "He might become a slave for all we know. Or he may get turned into a killing machine who only knows how to follow orders. It is our duty to capture him so that is what we will do." - Unknown 5 "Sigh. You guys are still as mentally ill as always. We have the proud dimwit, the greedy whale, the scheming backstabber, and the ''oracle'' who wants to know everything. Seems like 1 is the only normal person here." "Shut up 6! You have no right to offend me while your rank is lower than mine. You''re the weakest one here!" - Unknown 2Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work! "Now, am I really the weakest here, or are my followers the weakest? I think you forgot that I managed to fight all of you, except for 1, at the same time and still won. The only reason I am number 6 is because I have a lesser amount of little minions, as you would put it." - unknown 6 "Now, now. Don''t start a fight now. You remember what happened to the last two who tried to pick a fight." - Unknown 1 Everyone gulped at 1''s words. They remembered clearly what happened. The Ex 3 and Ex 5 has started fighting inside the room, when suddenly their bodies evaporated. All that was left were two small needles with a 1 inscribed onto them. One of those needles was strong enough to kill some of the strongest men in the galaxy within seconds. "Yes leader. We won''t fight." - Unknown 2-6 These six men were all in the top 25 of the most influential men in the galaxy, with 1 in the Top 3. While he very rarely showed his true powers, it was said that during the War of the Greats he managed to destroy a large gas planet with a single punch. Other rumors stated that he absorbed a sun and used it''s energy to rip a solar system apart. And even rumors have some truth to them. "But still, whoever Jayson, or Relfem, is, he is heavily wanted, for one reason or another. Either he will gain immense amounts of power, or he will be turned into a mindless slave. Either one will hurt us if he is used against us." - Unknown 4 "That doesn''t matter. We are getting enough money to fund a small portion of a battleship, and that will make up for one singular man." - Unknown 1 "Dismissed." - Unknown 1 They all parted and left through different doors. Each of them knew who the others were, but the masks and voice changers were for extra security. it wouldn''t be the first time that someone infiltrated into their facility. 1 got back onto his speeder, a slender, fast ship capable of traveling 1/100th the speed of light without using the hyperdrive. Sighing, he took off the mask. Underneath it was a middle-aged face showing signs of age. Wise blue eyes, thick brown eyebrows, a thin nose and thin mouth, along with a sharp jawline. His head was bald and instead he had runes covering parts of his scalp. "I may be getting too old to handle those buffoons. I would make one of them the next 1, but none are smart enough. They would destroy the order within days. Hopefully a promising person appears." - Unknown 1''s Thoughts Chapter 20 *Where am I?* Looking around, Jayson saw that he was in a pitch black room. There were a few circular lights spread around here and there that lit up the room. Looking down, he saw strapped to a chair. He had bands around his ankles, wrist, and one around his neck. *Damn, what happened? One second I was in a cave looking at the Wormins, and the next I woke up here. Did someone sneak up behind me? Well, lets see if I can escape.* Using he attempted to move forward, but just as the feeling began to appear, he felt a shock and was sent back to the chair. *What the hell?! It absorbed my mana! I knew that there were things like that, but I didn''t think they would use it on someone as weak as me.* This time, instead of using , he used Stellar Gate and tried to move the bands. Once again it simply absorbed his mana and shocked him. *Ok, so none of my mana attacks do anything. The only thing left to try is using physical strength, but I doubt I have enough. Here goes nothing.* Taking a deep breath, he began trying to lift his arms up and break the bands. After a few seconds he turned beet red from exertion and finally stopped. Seeing that nothing was going to happen, he gave up, deciding to wait. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After an hour nothing had happened. After 10 hours nobody had appeared. By now, his stomach felt like it was splitting. He hadn''t eaten in who knows how long, and to make it even worse he was also getting dehydrated. After 24 hours still nobody came. Jayson''s eyes seemed to be glossing over. Every 5 or so minutes, he would struggle to try to escape. By now, he was starving and his health had begun to go down, a hundredth of a point by a hundredth of a point. After 2 days he was ready to die. His body was now visible paler, and his health was started going down faster than before. He was down to only 70% of his total health. If anything came out of it, it was his two new skills.

Right now, they only made his suffering take longer, but in the future they might be useful. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By now, a week had passed. Jayson''s still living, but limp body was still banded to the chair. His health had gone down to 10%, and Hydration and Rationing had leveled up. He could now go 3 days without food and 2.5 without water. His body was mostly white by now, and he looked thinner. Blood could be seen dripping from his nose, mouth, and eyes. *I''m... almost... dead... not... much... longer... and... I... die... please... end... it...* As he closed his eyes, he felt the bands come off of his body. He opened his eyes, and saw heaven in front of him. Not literally, what he saw was a stale piece of bread and a cup of water. After starving and being dehydrated for a whole week, this was god giving him a second chance. Quickly jumped at the food, he scarfed it down without a second thought. Finally, his health began to rise. As he sighed in relief, he felt his body begin to shut down. As his consciousness faded, he yelled at himself in his mind. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once he awoke, he was back in the chair. The difference this time, was that on the floor a thick band, roughly 2 meters in diameter, surrounded him. He thought he saw it move, but though it was just hid mind playing games on him. An hour later... *Okay, it definitely moved.* As he was thinking, the band began to light up. Spanning the inside of it a deep red color began to appear. it was see-through, but the moment he looked to see any mana he almost shit himself. Every second, the band used more mana than ten of his mana pools. And it was moving upwards. 4 Hours Later... As it neared, he could feel a faint heat coming off of it. Though it wasn''t much at first, it was now warm enough that his feet were starting to burn. 8 Hours later... By now, the light had reached him. And guess what it was, a laser. As it came in contact with him, it began to burn away at his feet. The moment it reached his foot, it started speeding up, a lot. By now, everything up to his mid-calf had been burned off. it was going up at around a centimeter per minute, and he hated it. Pain he had never before felt assaulted him for hours straight as he wanted to cry. Once again, he received a few skills from it.

Update Hey guys. Sorry for not posting in a while. Sorry to say this, but I will start considerably slowing down updates for this story. Chapters may come out every 3-5 weeks, depending on how i feel. I want to focus more on my other book- Searful. It won''t be a hiatus, but expect much longer times between chapters. If you want to keep reading my stories, check out Searful hereThis tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. --->http://royalroadl.com/fiction/6674 Searful-My Other Book Sorry for this, but I hope yall keep reading! Chapter 21 Waking up, Jayson realized he was in a different area once more. *Where am I? It looks to be the same room, but this time there is a chair and table in front of me. I''m still strapped to the chair. And what''s this? Something that looks like a flashlight and a band of metal near the chair. I''m either going to be tortured again, or god knows what. The only reason I haven''t already gone crazy is because I keep reminding myself this is a game.* After waiting a few more hours and leveling up Rationing once more, something changed. Directly in front of him the wall began to sink into the ground. Once the entire part sunk down, he was left looking at a singular man. The man had a pale complexion and was quite tall. With shoulder-length hair, a handsome face and an aura that reeked of dominance, he was obviously someone rich or powerful. Not to mention the gold embroidered robes he wore. "My, my... you seem as lively as you were the day you were captured. Luckily for us you travelers, as our informer put it, can come back to life. Otherwise you would have most likely died many days ago." - ??? *I died? Then why didn''t I respawn back at the station?*If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. "You are probably wondering why you didn''t... ''respawn''... back at the station. That is simply because we have bound you to the chair. You will forcibly ''respawn'' there until the bond is broken. Now you are probably wondering how we know about travelers and respawning right Jayson?" - ??? *What?! How does he know my name? I thought the devs said that it would be impossible for anyone in-game to know who we were unless we told them?! Unless this is just a special event. Yes that must be it! Just a special event...* "Nothing talking huh... lets change that." - ??? The man pressed a button that appeared mysteriously on the table. Suddenly, Jayson felt himself being electrocuted. During the first few seconds he could handle it and not scream, but the pain slowly started getting worse and worse and he started convulsing, After a few more seconds he began to scream. "Ah, the pitiful screams of a peasant. How beautiful. Now then, will you respond?" - ??? *I...can''t... give... in...* As Jayson sat there gasping the man slowly began to get angrier. "Fine then! Let''s do this the hard way!" - ??? The man took a needle from his pocket and stabbed it into Jayson''s arm. Surprisingly, it didn''t hurt. The a prompt showed up.
Potion: Health Regen 2-10 has been applied through a needle. Effects: Heal 100 health per second for 10 hours.
*Wait? Why is he healing me?* Jayson soon found that answer as the man started electrocuting him once again. This time though, the potion made it so that he wouldn''t be killed. After a few minutes of never-ending pain the man finally stopped. Chapter 22 As the pain went ended, he received a new notification.

He was barely able to breathe at this point, his mind constantly flickering from aware to unconscious. *What?! I can''t see anything? Even for Full it allowed me to see his level, health and mana... Who is this guy?* Looking back up at the guy, he was surprised to see an angry expression on the mans face. "Did you... a small, insignificant, piece of TRASH LIKE YOU... dare to ANALYZE ME? I am a GOD compared to you!" - ??? Immediately, Jayson couldn''t breathe. The bloodlust and anger coming off of the man were so strong and thick that he swore he could see a red haze around the man. After a few more seconds of bearing it, he went unconscious, again, for like the fiftieth time. Feeling a cold sensation spreading down his body, he jolted upwards. Quickly opening his eyes, he realized that he was still stuck in the chair. Quickly realizing that the man had splashed him with water, he looked back up. The guy was gone, and in his place stood a different person. He was wearing a dark cloak and had a mask on. As he was about to analyze the man, he suddenly pressed the electrocute button and help it down. Feeling the pain course through him, he realized that it hurt a bit less than it did before. *This..might not be... as bad as i thought. A few more hours of this... and the pain should be reduced... by 25% if the skill levels...* So that''s what happened. The man never released the button, and let Jayson suffer. While no notifications popped up, most likely due to the game thinking he was in combat, he could feel the pain slowly lessen more and more as time passed. By now, his skill was most likely Level 10. Having the pain decreased by his believed amount of 20%, 2% per level like before, he could now think straight while dealing with it. *The devs had said that levels have no limits. But if this skill continues to improve at 2% a level, It''ll max at Level 50. What comes after that? It can''t go to 102% percent right?* He continued to think about it, but soon found that the pain had ended. Looking around, he realized why. His health regen potion would be over in a few seconds, and for some reason they didn''t want to kill him anymore.
Pain resistance has leveled up 9 times!
Due to having undergone such grave torture and still have your mind in tact, you gain +25 Willpower and +5 Wisdom!
*Hmmm? I gained wisdom? What, did I gain insights on how much torture hurts? Damn devs.* Just as he was about to check his Pain Resistance skill, the world turned black and white for him. *Damn, my physical and mental skills are on completely different levels. I am a magic-user, but I can''t forget that I do use a sword as a weapon, or used a sword I should say.* For a while, nothing happened. The other man went away and he was just left sitting here, thinking about life. If anything, he was happy that he had 0.2% the total mana that Full had. While it actually wasn''t that much, it made him feel better that slowly he was getting closer. He had two weeks left in-game until the game fully released. Once it did, he would be able to play for 1 IRL month instead of 1 IRL week with the Deep-Submergence Capsule. It had cost him a fortune, around 2 million in fact, but with the money he had, it was easy. Speaking of money, he thought about his parents. He still remembers the day they kicked him out. Both of them were very well-renowned business-people, well the most renowned since they were the richest people alive. He, since an early age, hated business, and so they dishonored him and kicked him out. But since he was still their kid, they gave him around 10% of their total wealth, as to them it would seem inappropriate for their kid to have to work for his own money. They were very self centered and egoistic people. The 10% ended up being around 13 billion, so he has more money than most other people who actually worked for it. Because of it, not only does he have endless time to waste, but has an almost endless amount of money to go along with it. Also, since he was an only child, the company would go to him when they died, so he would be rich forever. With this money and time, he enjoyed immersing himself in reading and video-games. Sure, he did own multiple jets, and million dollar cars, but he just bought those on whims. Even the fact that he got into the 10,000 player beta had been bought. he payed the company around 1 million to let him have a spot. Anything below that, and they wouldn''t accept it. Back to his family. His parents were always strict about anything and everything. This made him slowly lose touch with others and soon became more of a silent watcher than anything else. He had mostly gotten rid of his emotions, especially after his parents beat him halfway into a coma to get him to behave. He still visits them every few months, but now he has much more time to spend doing what he wants. As for lovers, he has none. Very few people actually know what he looks like, and there''s more than one person with his last name. And that''s how he would like it. If he had a lover, he would have to spend time to please them, and that seems like a waste. This is mainly what drove him to want to become one of the strongest in Ley Wprld. But currently that didn''t seem to be working. He would be mad, but he knows how to hold his emotions back almost masterfully at this point.Anytime he would show them, they would be snippets of fake personalities he had acquired through his life as a business family kid. As he continued to think back, finally someone came back. It was the same man that had injected him with the health potion and started the electrocution. "Now then. Since you ''travelers'' have such easy times gaining and upgrading your skills, we will be using you. As slaves. You will be working for our mines on Planet Ourel. The deeper you go into the planet, the denser the materials will be. They are also worth much more. Not only that, but you will have to constantly fight against the beasts that live within the mines. You will be starting in a mana-stone mine. It''s the easiest one. The only creatures there are small rock-crabs, between level 100 and 250. They appear in large swarms very often, but with you specialties as a Void-Elf taking on large groups is easy. Now then, if you manage to mine a total of 1,000,000 durels, we will let you go. Not only that, but you will be much stronger than before. Now incase you don''t know what a dural is, it is the highest form of currency. They go, 1000 Rels to 1 Bell, 1000 Bells to 1 Ure, and 1000 Ures to 1 Eural, and finally 100 Eurals to 1 Dural." - ??? "Basically, 1 Dural is equal to 100,000,000,000, or 100 billion Rels. 1 cubic meter of Mana-Stone is worth 100 Rels. It would take you 1 billion square meters of mana-stone to get 1 dural. You need 1 million of them. It''s basically an impossible task. Unless you go down deep enough, as near the core of the planet there are elements where each square meter is worth 50 Eurals. So you would only need 2,000,000 square meters of it. Either way, it will take a long time." - ??? "You will be given a bag of holding, which is enchanted to hold up to 100 square kilometers of space or 100 million square meters. Each day, you will use the teleporters put throughout the mines to go back to the main dock and give your back to the guards to measure." - ??? "You''re probably wondering why I''m telling you so much, but its quite simple. One, when it comes to business I am quite thorough. And two, you travelers gain power so fast that by in a month you''ll probably have a mining level of over 250, while it takes even dwarfs a year to do that. So you will be quite good for us. Now then, goodbye!" - ??? Before he could say anything, he felt himself blacking out. Chapter 23 Waking up, Jayson realized he was in a new place. Glancing down, he realized he had different things equipped. He had a suit of dark red cloth covered with small blue scales. it seemed to be the armor and clothing that he would be using here. Strapped to his back was a deep-purple pickaxe. When he picked it up, he was surprised at how heavy it was. It took his full strength to lift it over his head. Quickly analyzing them both, he looked at the stats.
Name Magnetite Pickaxe
Rank 10 Recommended Levels None
Description This pickaxe, forged out of a solid block of magnetite, is one of the strongest and sharpest pick''s out there. Able to mine through even Obilum Plated Steel with ease, this is not only a good pick, but a good weapon too.
Name Desert Scarab and Algemite Suit-Piece
Rank 3 Recommended Levels 1-3,000
Description A one-piece suit fit for miners. Made of tough Desert Scarab hides and covered with Algemite Scales, this armor can protect you from just about anything below Level 2,750.
He also noticed the bag of holding, but for some reason when he tried to Analyze it, it wouldn''t work. *Well, this is some pretty decent gear. This pickaxe is extremely strong, and by mining I should be able to increase my physical stats while fighting against the Rock Crabs should give me more levels and mental stats.* Remembering he had 9 stat points left over, he quickly put them all into strength. Looking around, he saw a sign on the floor. Left for foreman, right for mining. *Welp, right it is.* He quickly began jogging until he found the mines, which took about 10 minutes. He would have collapsed not even a quarter of the way through if he didn''t keep reminding himself that all this pain is just fake and from a game. he found himself in a 5 meter tall clearing. He was alone here, and he could clearly see mixed about with the gray stone a bluish glow. Quickly going over to it, he lifted his pickaxe above his head and swung down. The pickaxe quickly fell and made a crack in the stone. Lifting it up agaion, he swung again. This time, a few pieces of bluish stone fell. They quickly shrunk down to 1/5th of their normal size though. *What the fuck?* [/window]New skill unlocked: Mining![/window]
Mining
Level 1 0%
Description The ability to mine. The higher the level, the more efficient your mining. Currently: 20% Efficiency
*What kind of... Uh nevermind. At this level for 5 square meters I mine I''ll only actually get one. I guess I should start leveling this up. It''ll take me a long ass time to get anywhere, but oh well.* He continued mining until his endurance ran out and he collapsed. After a few minutes he would get back up and continue running, not caring about the pain he was feeling in his muscles. While he was mining, he managed to hear a rapid clinking in the background. Quickly turning around, he found a Rock Crab. it was just under a meter tall and was 1.5 meters long. Analyzing it showed that it was a Z10 Rank and was level 103. He quickly multiplied it''s mass with his gravity magic and decreased the weight of the pick. Using his hips to add more rotation, he swung the pick sideways straight into it''s face. It screeched as half of it''s face was forcefully torn off. As for Jayson, he could feel the impact in his numbing hands. They still weren''t used to the feedback caused by the force he hit with. Even while mining slowly it would hurt. Quickly shaking his hands to get rid of the feeling, he swung down once more, right into the center of it''s head. A loud crunch was heard, and then the body collapsed.
You have killed Rock Crab Lvl 103. You have leveled up 13 times! You have 13 stat points to distribute!
Leaving the points off to the side for now, he went back to mining. Slowly, over the course of a few hours, he had built up a small amount of mana stone. He didn''t know how long he mined for, but it was long enough that his Rationing and Hydration skills weren''t able to keep up anymore. Putting the rest of the stone into his bag, he began running down back to where he woke up. Once there he continued running, towards the foreman. After another 10ish minutes, he made it into a large white room. There was a man sitting behind a desk. He had a golden monocle on his left eye, with slick black hair and a chiseled jaw. He sat straight, his arms folded forwards as if he had known that Jayson had been coming all along. "Well, what''re you waiting for? Show me your sack." - Foreman The guy had a deep and gruff voice, almost like that of a heavy smoker. HE quickly gave the man his bag, and the man quickly poured the contents into another bag and handed it back. "You''ve currently mined out 10 Bells. You are 0.000001% done." The foreman got up and left, leaving Jayson there stunned. All that work, and only 10 Bells? This would take a very, VERY long time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another week passed, and Jayson had kept on mining. He got his mining skill to Level 89. Each level gave an extra 0.1% efficiency, so he was now at 28.9% efficiency. He was quite surprised at how quickly he was gaining levels, but it probably also because of the pickaxe. If he had a normal one, he would have to use much more strength in order to mine and end up getting tired much faster. With it, he was able to go for longer and longer durations. So far, he had mined 113 Bells. it was quite bad, but as he Leveled more he would start making more and more money. Any either way, he had roughly 400 years in-game to play if the game kept going for another 80 years.Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. As he going back to the mines though, something changed. Out of nowhere, he could hear the clicking of crab legs. Sure he had dealt with them before, but the issue this time was the amount of clicking. Looking towards the noise, he was surprised. There were around 200 Crabs stacked upon each other, racing to see who would get to him first. *Damn, I might actually not be able to do this. Each one is at least Level 100, so they should have much more stats than me. Maybe I can try that...* That, refering to his new thought-up plan. it had to do with Blink, but using it in a different manner. Instead of blinking himself, he would blink them, into each other. He had tried earlier with a rock and found that as long as the one casting the magic wouldn''t be put into a solid object, anything else would go. Quickly spreading his magic, he doubled their weight with his spell. He quickly concentrated as he spread his mana into the surroundings. Picking a group of 20 Crabs, he blinked them all into a center point. And god did he wish he didn''t. The abomination that came out wouldn''t stop screeching, as it, or the multiple crabs all felt themselves being conjoined. Not wanting to get deafened, he create a Gravity Point inside it and crushed it''s innards. As it''s screeching finally ended, he began doing the same thing with other groups. Some he would blink into the floor, some into the wall, and others into each other. If any of them got close, a few swings of his pick killed them. A few minutes later, he was out of mana, but they were all blinked together. Since they could no longer move, he tok the time to regen his mana before killing them all. As he killed the last one, he was blinded by pop-ups.

Kill Transaction
Level Max 100%
Description As you kill others, you gain points depending on how strong they are compared to you. You can use these points to buy skills, stats, weapons, etc from the Kill Store.
*What...the...fuck...* *To start off, the stat points. Its pretty cool, but really, level 100000+? How do you even get there? How long would it take us, even with the 5x speed compared to reality to get there? Next, finding a way to use a new spell. Quite nice. Next, skills leveled up. Okay. Then Mass Dark Horse and Kill Transaction... lets see how it works.* He quickly used the skill to see what would happen.

*Hmmm, I have almost 600 coins. And this interest should be fun. Once I get more coins even if I don''t kill anything I''ll get more. Fun. I''ll go see how much everything costs later. Right now I should probably put all my stat points in.* With all of the stats gained from the pop-ups plus the stats gained through doing tasks repeatedly, and then the 122 stat point he had, this is what he ended up with. For Stat points, 22 went into Wisdom, 29 to Strength, 11 to Endurance, 25 to Agility, and 35 to vitality.

Overall, his stats where starting to shape up. He was now confident of being able to fight against another Horde of Rock Crabs like the one he just faced, but he would wait until another one appeared before he tried moving down deeper into the mine. He would also have to boost his agility tremendously before he went down there, as he could only expect it would start taking longer and longer to go from one area to another...or he could set up some Stellar Gates, but he would leave that for later. With one week left until the end of the beta, Jayson decided to continue mining, trying to gain as much strength as possible. After the beta finished and he would be getting his Deep-Submergence Capsule, he would be able to play for much longer. Grabbing his pickaxe, he ran back into the mines, prepared to continue gaining strength. Chapter 24 The last week before the end of the beta had passed. He continued to mine during this week, increasing his stats and Mining skill. There were two more big Rock Crab attacks which got him to level 177. He had gotten 120 total stat points, which he immediately put in. His Mining skill had increased to 124, which gave him 32.4% efficiency. The attacks had gotten his Blink to level 16, Change Gravity to 13, and Gravity Point to 17. He also got his Hydration and Rationing skills to 3 both, as he only ate once the entire week. One thing he had learned while looking through his skills, is that the primary magic skills, like Gravity Magic, Void Magic, and Stellar Magic leveled up depending on how much you knew about the magic and how many more spells you knew. The amount you used them did nothing. Currently, his stats looked like this:

He also didn''t know why, but his Mental Stats, Willpower, Intelligence, and Wisdom seemed to go up much faster than his physical stats, but that''s most likely due to his race. Jayson was currently in the starting room he woke up in looking at the timeout before the beta ended. 5...4...3...2...1... As he closed his eyes, he felt the very fabric of his life leave the body he was in. He felt a quick rush of cool over his body, and as he opened his eyes he found that he was back in the capsule. As he lifted himself up, he immediately saw a difference. His arms felt lighter and faster, he could see and hear better, and he could think faster. When the devs talked about the game changing your real body, they weren''t lying. *I wonder how they managed to do that...Not only that, but they said that the increase was small, but I already feel much stronger.* Looking around the room, he saw a fresh pair of clothing by the bathroom. He quickly went inside and took a shower before dressing himself. They were plain gray sweatpants and a black shirt that said- "Ley World Beta-Tester" on them. Leaving the room, he walked towards the auditorium. The devs would probably be having a much more in-depth speech now that the game was about to go live. As he walked in, he could see many people were already seated. He quickly sat down and listened to some of the conversations going on around him. So far, nobody had said anything about being a slave, the game knowing their name, but one thing they did talk about was their average levels. Apparently most players were already above Level 1000, with stats in the thousands for most stats, but only 2-3 people had titles. And neither were as good as his. One gave a +10 to all Stats, and the other, which two people had, gave +1 Strength per 5 levels. Soon though, one of the devs came on stage and shushed everyone. "I hope everyone has enjoyed this beta! If you have already ordered your capsules, they have already been installed and delivered. If not you have 1 chance left. If you order them today you will get them as early as possible, and while most others will have to wait 1-2 days after the game releases to be fully installed, yours will be installed a few hours afterwards." - Dev "Now, to the next topic. I know most of you want to know how your body has changed so much. Well that''s simple. Humans in real life have an average of 10 in each stat. We made it so that for every 1,000 stat points in game, you gain 1 IRL. If we went any further your bodies would break. Any slower and nothing would happen. So you guys, if you get over 1000 in one stat, will become 10% stronger on average." - DevThis tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. "Also, we are changing a few things right before the game releases. Firstly, we saw that the regen was a bit overkill, so in combat your regen will be halfed. 5 minutes after combat finishes it will go back to normal. Also, as many of you have seen, the +whatever to stats for each level for certain races doesn''t work, because we feel like you guys are already too strong and that would be useless." - Dev As he said that, Jayson could hear a few mumbles of displeasure. Even he was a bit disappointed. It was hard enough to fight against that many beasts with his mana regen, and now it would be even smaller. "Also, we will make the map function available. You will be able to see everything on that map that you have been, or you can buy areas of the map from NPC''s." - Dev "Last and most important thing, you will be, upon joining back, allowed to either teleport to the nearest starter city or stay in the same space you are. Ah how could I forget. When the game fully releases, you will not have the full universe to explore. You will have 4 more galaxies for now. To unlock more, the player average level has to either go up, or the amount of total players has to go up. As you go on, more and more space will be unlocked, each with their own low and high leveled areas. We currently have around 500 galaxies done, and are always creating more." - Dev "We are expecting to release 250 by the end of the year, with a player base close to 1.25 billion per month. You guys have 1 day to wait, before you can go back in. Enjoy this day, and prepare yourselves, for in a day the real race to gain power will begin." - Dev While 1.25 billion seemed like a lot, currently the world''s population was at 13 billion, after a new technology to purify water and create food appeared a few years back, allowing the world''s population to skyrocket while still being able to control and fix their greenhouse gas issues. As he finished speaking, the doors opened by themselves and people began to leave. As he was leaving, a man in a black suit and tie came up to him and asked him to come along. *I wonder what he wants. They obviously work for the company. Maybe it''s because of the slave and name thing?* As he followed, he was led up an elevator to an office. Walking in, he recognized it to be the same dev that was just talking. "Welcome Jayson Belliar, known as Relfem. My name is John Melk, the lead director of the game''s development. Please, take a seat." - John Looking around the room, Jayson could see it was quite bland. A few papers here and there, most of the space was taken up by computer screens. Now that they were closer, Jayson could also better see the man''s face. He had a sharp jawline, with hazel brown eyes that seemed to see right through you. He had a small goatee, and had his hair slicked back. Nodding, Jayson sat in the chair across from him. "Now then, I assume you know what I want to talk to you about?" - John Jayson nodded once more. "A man of few words are you? Well then, lets get to the main topic. The reason you are a slave is made that way as part of the story. Since you have a large record of playing RPG''s and MMO''s, we decided to change your gameplay a bit, make it more challenging for someone such as you. Not only that, but you will have much more time in the world than anybody else to play. Secondly, the AI''s knowing your name. That was... well an accident. When compiling information into the main AI controlling the world, we accidentally gave it access to a few peoples names. It doesn''t know anything other than your name though. We managed to delete the other people''s names from the game, but since we changed your story line, the AI wouldn''t let us. As a gift of sorry, we changed the perk you got from the Mass Dark Horse title, to give you the Kill Transaction skill." - John "I hope you don''t have a problem with any of this?" - John *Hmmm... well, I could really care less.* "It''s all okay." - Jayson "Perfect. Before you go, here''s a tip, you still haven''t used the Elves natural psychic skills." - John As he left the building, Jayson thought about the psychic skills. *That''s it! I remember seeing them in the race selection, but I completely forgot about them... I''ll have to take a look at them once I get back into the game. I have around 14 hours before the game releases, and I already have my capsule installed. I''ll be in there for a month, so I guess I should call my parents.* As he got into his self-driving car and set it to his home, he called his parents. "Hello honey?" - Mom "Hey mom. I''ve just finished the beta-test. I''m going back in tomorrow and will be staying for a month." - Jayson "Well that''s good. How was it? Did they live up to all their hype? Is it possible that they weren''t bullshitting everything they said?" - Mom "They did everything they said and more." - Jayson "Well, thats a problem... I''ll have to talk to your father about this. For now go have fun." - Mom As she hung up, Jayson sat there, thinking about what they just said. *Those two are always trying to take control of other companies, but with the size of this game, they might finally fail at it.* Smiling to himself, he fell asleep until he got back to his home, in Downtown Manhattan. He lived in the penthouse of a 130 floor skyscraper. It cost him a few million, but it gave him peace and quiet. It allowed him to live separated from everyone else. Looking out one of the floor to ceiling windows, he looked at Belliar Tower. It was planned out around 10 years ago, and after 7 years his parents building had been finished. At a height of 970 meters, it was the 5th tallest tower in the world, the tallest being the New Tokyo Tower, with a height of 1,300 meters. It was built in with military-strength turrets capable of shooting anything from rocks to airplanes should the need arise. It wouldn''t be the first time someone tried to destroy their building. The first was the reason they built this tower. It housed both them and their company. Large enough to hold around 15,000 people inside, it was the largest area-wise building. Looking away, he looked at the clock. 5 minutes till launch. Going over to the capsule, he strapped himself in and closed his eyes. Once more, like when he first began, he saw the countdown. 5...4...3...2...1... Chapter 25

As a beta-tester, you are allowed to either stay in the same location you are, or go to one of the starter cities.
"Stay here. Starter cities will be stock-full right now. Might as well grow a bit stronger and then leave with Stellar or Void magic." - Jayson
You have chosen to stay at Ourel Mines.
Hey Jayson, John here. For deciding to stay at the mines even though we gave you a perfect way to leave, here''s a gift.
You have been given 100,000 Kill Coins.
*What the fuck? he gave me 100,000 for staying? That''s dumb. I guess I may as well buy something with that now. I can buy Weapons, Armors, Skills, Cash, Materials, Stats, and Familiers/Connections. Let me check stats.* Going into the Stats page, he saw that each stat point cost 10 Kill Coins. He could buy over 10,000 stat points right now, but that seemed a bit useless, even though it would get him much closer to Full''s strength. He would compare himself to the other guy, but he still had no idea how strong he was. Leaving the stats menu, he went into skills. He quickly went into the magic skills and looked at the ones for Gravity, Stellar, and Void Magic. Going down to the most expensive skills, he stopped. Though he couldn''t afford any of them, he wanted to know what the last skill for each one was. For Gravity Magic, the last skill was Hole. It allowed you to create either a black or white hole. It cost 157,500,000 Kill Coins. For Stellar Magic, it was Mass Drive. It allowed you to grab an object and launch it at the speed of light towards an opponent. It cost 160,000,000 Kill Coins. The last two were both from Void Magic. The second most expensive: Fabric Bender. It allowed you to change the fabric of reality, It cost 450,000,000 Kill Coins. Lastly, Void Rift. It allowed you to travel through Dimensions. Whatever that meant. Either way, he wouldn''t buy it for a long time, with it''s price of 27,000,000,000 Kill Coins. Whatever the skill did, it was extremely powerful. *Yeah, let me go back to the beginner skills.* Going back to the top, he saw something. For the skills he already had, he could pay to increase their levels. The cost was 2.5*Skill Level*8.So a level 100 skill, to bring to level 101, would cost 2,000 Kill Coins. Not worth it. Going down a bit further, he decided to buy two Gravity Magic Skills. Repulse, which launched things away from him, and Attract, which pulled things towards him.
Repulse
Level 10%
DescriptionPush things away from you with the power of Repulse. Current: Object with a mass less than 1 KG.
Attract
Level 10%
DescriptionPull things towards you with the power of Attract. Current: Object with a mass less than 1 KG.
As he both the two, another pop-up appeared.
Gravity Magic has leveled to 2!
Gravity Magic
Level 20%
DescriptionThe ability to control magic. With this you can well, control the gravity of a certain object. It can be used to make items lighter, or an opponent heavier.
*Hmmm. So if I''m right the more skills for each Magic type I have, the higher the level. But once again, that seems to have a max once you go past a certain level. If there are a total amount of skills... my kill store can create skills. I can level these skills as high as possible... not like they do anything either way.* After spending the 1,240 Kill Coins on the skills, he got up and prepared to move to the second layer of the mines. He was strong enough to go down there and fight anything that attacked him, and if he wasn''t, he could spend the 100,000 Kill Coins to give himself a quick boost. He began to run down the tunnel. After a few minutes, he was back at the Mana Stone area. He continued running, and soon he felt that the ground was starting to slope downwards. As he ran, the stone around him slowly got darker, until it became closer to black than the gray it was previously. Not knowing when to stop, he continued running until he saw a flash at the edge of his sight. Looking over, he saw a small purple spike poking out of the wall. Taking out his pick, he quickly mined into it. A chunk of the purple stone fell out and he analyzed it. It was a stone called Violite. It was used as a focus for lasers according to his analysis. Quickly mining more, he was quickly given a level up in mining. Normal to beliefs, the better the ore you mine, the more xp for your skills you get. He quickly put it into the bag he had, and continued to mine into the vein of ore. A few hours later, and the 1000 or so cubic meters had all been mined up. He had a hefty amount in his bag, but it was nowhere near what he would need. Sighing, realizing just now how dumb he was for not leaving to the starter city, he continued to mine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.Without him knowing, time passed. At first a week, than two, than an in-game month. Outside, not even a week had passed, but for him, he had been mining non-stop, trying to gain more strength to eventually escape this mine. He was currently on the 7th level of the mine, and he was gathering Orgarom, used for creating Mana-Batteries. The enemies in this area ranged from around Levels 1,750-2,500. He was currently Level 1,643, and had been slowly saving up all of his stat and Kill Coins. He currently had 5,611 stat points left to be distributed, and around 510,000 Kill Coins. He was saving the stat points for the time where he would be in danger and would be forced to use them. A sudden power-up mid fight would confuse his enemies, and he was already over-powered for his own level. His reliance on the same few Magic Skills has leveled them to great heights. They were like this: Mining Level 459, Blink Level 102, Change Gravity Level 87, Gravity Point Level 142, Attract Level 97, and Repulse Level 108. For the past week, he hadn''t gone to the foreman at all, wanting to save up some ore to sell, because he would be leaving soon. He was planning his escape. During the times he wasn''t mining, he would go onto the game-forums, which are accessible in-game, and would read. One of the things that caught his attention was the leaderboards. The current highest leveled player was one of the beta-testers. He was in the top-10 highest leveled after the beta, and now, with a Level of 4,760, he was the highest. He was also number 1 in both Strength and Vitality, with Endurance at 3rd worldwide. None other of his stats were in he top 10, as he seemed to be a pure-strength character. The only stat he was close to top 10 in was Willpower. The person in 10th had 3,782, so he was only 100 or so behind. If he used his stat points, he would obviously be ahead, but for now he didn''t need that much attention. Another thing that had happened was the release of more galaxies. 3 weeks after the game released with 5 galaxies, the devs quickly put out 15 more, saying that the current five were full to the brim, as the game already had about 250 million players. There were a few patches here and there, but nothing really major happened. The game continued on, with a few important things happening. One of those was the discovery of a certain dungeon. Dungeons already existed, but this one was the size of a moon. Actually, it was built into the entirety of a moon. The entire inside of the moon was a dungeon, and it was said to have monsters above Level 50,000 in it. When people asked the Devs about it, they just said that you don''t have to go through the entire thing. This has led to people attempting to blow a hole to the center of the planet, but there is a space force-field keeping all space-ship launched projectiles from entering. Speaking of spaceships, they were apparently quite easy to get. The lowest tiered ones cost 10 Bells. It was a small fighter-type, and only fit one person. The next ships were small cruisers, that could fit 5-20 people. The lowest cost for those was 1 Ure. The ship above that was a Freighter-sized. It had no real class, as it could function either as a small hanger ship, a freighter, or a small battleship if you decided you wanted it to be that way during purchase. Currently, only 1 person had one, and it was the 3rd highest leveled player in the world. It had cost him 240 Ures. Above that there were battleships, warships, and finally mother-ships, which cost from 10,000-1,000,000 Durals each, as they had enough space inside to fit 15 thousand people. They had hangers large enough to fit several warships inside, and still have a lot of space left over. The smallest version was over 10 kilometers in length. They were the main source of transport aside from Stellar Gates, but even then there were ship sized Stellar Gates for when people didn''t feel like spending a day in FTL. Back to the dungeon. So far, a few thousand people had gone in in groups of 100, trying to fight there way in. Contrary to normal dungeons, there weren''t a lot of monsters. The problem was their strength. A level 2,000 monster in there had the strength of a normal Level 3,000 boss in another dungeon. And they were massive. The hallways had a perimeter of around 2.5 kilometers, and even still some of the monsters barely fit. Their sheer size and strength made it so that each battle was drawn out and prolonged to tire out the attackers. The only good thing about their size is the amount of materials they dropped and the XP they gave. The last thing he had seen, was that a few people were saying that they got captured by people and forced to work as slaves. Some stopped using their character, others tried complaining to the company. it seemed that the group that slaved him either wasn''t alone, or was capturing more currently. The last thing he had done in this past month, was that he began looking into his psychic abilities. He was currently having to put too much effort into it, and he didn''t have time to spend meditating for now. He would buy the psychic skills from the Kill Store but he wanted to figure it out on his own, as it would most likely give him stat points for constantly trying. Now that he was basically ready to escape, he quickly bought a map piece from the Kill Store. it cost him 5,000 Coins, but gave him an overall map of the solar system he was in. The second thing he bought was a stone that when crushed will teleport someone to the edge of their solar system. He was thinking of stealing a ship, but he had no idea how to fly it. Most people who did had to get taught the Pilot skill first. The stone was 35,000 Coins, and took a decent amount from his bank. Finally, he bought 5-Oxygizers. They made sure you wouldn''t suffocate for 1 day each. He had five days to fly to another solar system, but that probably wouldn''t be too hard with what he planning. Once he would be in space, he would place an attract a bit higher than the top of his head, and a repulse a bit below his feet. This would allow him to propel himself through the solar system at speeds he would never have imagined. Or so he hoped. There were a few rumors that someone had done it before, but they didn''t know how to stop and slammed into a moon, insta-killing them. *It''s time I guess. I can always come back here in the future to either make use of the planet''s mine or use the people from this group for experience.* He had Analyzed the foreman before, and though he was in the 20,000 levels, Jayson would soon also be there. A few real months and he would quickly get there. Putting his pick inside the ore bag, he used the stone. Instantly, he felt himself move. In the blink of an eye, he was now staring at a star in the distance. He could see a few black spots in the star, but those were probably just the backs of the planets and moons. Feeling himself begin to run out of breathe, he used an ability he had never used before, Void Breathe. The skill allowed him to breathe Void instead of oxygen, and he planned to level it during this trip. It was a one-time mana use. With an instant payment of 250 mana, he was now able to breathe. After the five minutes ended, he used it again. He could breathe again. This skill would come in helpful in the future, especially if he learned how to properly use the flying method. Facing towards the star that seemed the closest, he quickly began using attract and repulse. Each of the skills, with the power they had, cost around 150 mana per second. The two together came to just below his Mana Regen, which was a bit over 300. He would go to his full mana regen, but he needed to make sure he would be able to use Void Breathe. The only reason he had the Oxydizers were incase he found something he had to run from and didn''t have enough mana to waste on Void Breathe. As he continued to move faster, he realized just how overpowered this technique was. On a planet, the air resistance would stop him, but in the empty reaches of space, there was nothing to stop his acceleration, or slow his down either. As he continued going faster, he saw a meter show up near the edge of his screen. It was displaying that he was already going at 10 kilometers per second, and he was only speeding up. If he remembered correctly, the speed of light was around 300,000 km/s. This solar system would probably be over five light-years away, so he would be having to go 15 million kilometers per second to get there in a week. That''s roughly 50 times faster than the speed of light. If he could even go at the speed of light, it was already be amazing, but now going over 50 times it''s speed would be almost godly. *How am I going to stop this...* A few minutes passed, and he was now gaining near the speed of light. If he looked back, everything seemed to be going slower, while when he looked forwards everything came faster. His speed began going faster and faster, until it finally reached the speed of light.
You have reached the max speed capable of going. It is 1E-12 km/s slower than the speed of light, as any faster will result in damage. To go faster, gain skills that allow you to safely travel in FTL.
*Whats this? Any faster and I''ll get hurt. To go faster blah blah blah, buy a skill with the Kill Store. Great. More cash out the way.* He quickly opened up the store menu, and quickly custom made a skill. It was simple.
Faster Than All
Level 10%
DescriptionGet''s rid of limit for speed. Speeds up acceleration. Passive ability. Current: 0.1% faster Acceleration
It allowed him to go faster quicker and not have a limit to his speed. Before he forgot he quickly changed it once more.
Greater Faster Than All
Level 10%
DescriptionGet''s rid of limit for speed. Body no longer capable of being damaged by FTL or greater speeds. Speeds up acceleration. Passive ability. Current: 0.1% faster Acceleration
Now it was perfect. He could protect himself and go faster. It cost a whooping 67,500 Coins, but it would be necessary. He bought it, and instantly the world around him changed. Chapter 26 Everything became dark for a few seconds, and then he began to see a few faint blue lines pass by him. Looking closer to these lines, they seemed to be closer to cracks in the black surrounding him, as he could see the things outside. Looking at his speed, he was astonished. When he went FTL, his body sped up to 10x it''s old speed. At this pace of speed increase he would reach the place in a day. The only problem being his stop. If his speed kept increasing, it would take way too long to be able to stop. There was a higher chance of him flinging himself past the solar system than actually managing to stop. Leaving that behind, he continued to speed up. Every few minutes he would redo his Void Breathe ability and it was already starting to level up. After 2 hours of flying, he got to give or take 70 times the speed of light. Stopping his abilities, he checked on the map to make sure that he was going the proper direction. Checking the map, he found that he was. He saw that he was 3% of the way there. His plan was to begin slowing down once he was 97% of the way there. If it took him 3% to get to this speed, it should take the same amount to slow down. That should get him give or take close to his destination. From there he could slowly adjust to land on a planet. Now that he was going at 70 times the speed of light, the crackers that he could see out of before were thinner but longer. They sped past almost impossibly fast. *As the light moves towards me, since I move towards it, it feels like it goes faster than it actually is. My eyes probably can''t move fast enough to be able to tell where the light was going.* Closing his eyes, he began to meditate while traveling. He would check back on his map every few hours to check where he was and when he would have to start slowing down. After a few days, and endless boredom, he was a bit over half-way there. His intelligence and wisdom has slowly been increasing over the days, and he even closer to the Top-10 than before. But as usual, he would be saving the points. Slowly, he had also gotten more used to the cracks in space, and as his intelligence increased, the size of the cracks did too. It seemed that his vision and perception were more based on intelligence than any other stat. Which would kind of make sense, as it does have to do with his mind. Like that, a few more days of traveling passed. Looking onto his map, he soon found himself getting to 97% of the way there. Immediately, he began to slow down. his speed went back to 10x the speed of light after another hour and a half, and suddenly he felt his body speed down tremendously. Checking his speed, he was now going slower than light. Looking around, he was scared. He was going straight towards the sun. While it was still a few million kilometers away, he was still scared of it.If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. It was massive. Compared to the sun of the last solar system, it was a good 15 times larger than it. Looking around, he found 3 planets. There were no space stations or ships of any kind. The nearest planet was a rocky planet. It seemed to have an atmosphere with oxygen, or those clouds were made of something else that he probably didn''t want to breathe. But oh well. Its a risk he''ll take. If anything he would use his void breathe again. Before he went onto the planet, he quickly checked his stats.

He was quite strong now. He wouldn''t consider himself top 25, but top 100 easily. With these, stats, almost nobody other than the NPC''s could beat him in a fight, and some of them had stats so high he couldn''t see. Happy with his stats, he began to move himself towards the planet. A few minutes later, and he was slowly moving downwards through the atmosphere. The planet had two large landmasses. They were on opposite sides of the planet. Both had purple-colored forests, and in the waters he swore he could see the shadows of massive beasts moving through the water. Moving down slowly, he soon touched down on the planet.
Congratulations! For being the first player to fly from one solar-system to another, you have gained the title: Solar Explorer!
Solar Explorer: As one who has traveled in FTL from one Solar-System to another utilizing their own skills, and without a ship, you are someone who can move anywhere they want to. Gained: +1000 to all stats.
*Wait what...* Chapter 27 *Wait what...* *Another title? And once again another +1000 to each stat? Isn''t it supposed to be hard to gain stats unless you level up?* Closing the popup, he was assaulted with a few more windows.
You have reached Top-10 Worldwide in Intelligence, Willpower, and Wisdom. Your positions are: Intelligence: 9th, Willpower: 7th, Wisdom: 9th. You can now choose whether to show you name on the Leaderboards. If you choose no, you will still appear there, just that in the names section, there be be ||Hidden||.
*Damn. I didn''t want to be at this level. People are going to wonder how someone went from nowhere to 7th in Willpower in a split second. I''ll hide my name. Until I''m strong enough to face the other Top-10''s, I won''t show myself.* Quickly looking into the Number 1 position for Intelligence, he was surprised. There was someone with 9,000 intelligence. He had heard of this person before. They were called Deltex, and apparently they were part of a Sniper''s Mercenary Group already due to their skill. The person in second had 7,800 intelligence, so Deltex was quite far ahead. *Wait... if every 1,000 stat points add 1 to real life, does this mean this person is almost twice as intelligent as an average person already?* Now that he thought about it, this was a bit crazy. If people continued to level up extremely quickly, wouldn''t people also start becoming extremely strong in real life? If people got to Levels beyond 100,000 wouldn''t they end up being tens if not hundreds of times stronger than normal people? What would happen to competitive sports if people could quickly gain strength through leveling, how would the competitions still work? Thinking of this, he began looking around at the place he landed. He was on the shore of one of the continents. Around 1 kilometer from him the purple forest began, but it looked pretty empty, looking into the sea though, was different. At first, he thought it was just his imagination, but once he flew upwards a bit and actually looked closely, he was horrified. Looming shadows, each tens of kilometers long, rapidly moving around under the water. Every now and then, the land would tremble as he saw two of the large shadows collide. Looking at one of the shadows, he decided to try inspecting it.If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.

*What...is...that... Over 700k health, and almost 80k strength. It''s Mama-related stats are extremely low for it''s level, but other than that... its insane.* Glancing back at the forest, he quickly inspected everything, even the trees, to see if he could find anything. And he did. Some of the trees were actually beasts that looked like trees. Luckily for Jayson, they seemed to sleep during the day. The only one he found awake had a status debuff with -50% to all stats called: Night Crawler awake at Day. Overall, the tree-beasts were at Jayson''s level of power, so if anything he would be able to keep up with them. Though he wished he had fire magic. *I guess i do. I could just buy fire magic from the Kill-Store, but that would be boring.* Slowly walking up to the tree that was awake, he prepared to attack. Taking his pickaxe, which he still had, out, he began. Quickly using blink, he teleported it upwards off the ground. A loud shriek guttered out of it''s mouth as it lost its balance, no longer being connected to the floor. Quickly rushing over, Jayson swung the pick downwards, slamming the beast downwards into the ground. Before the dust could rise too far upwards, he took a quick look at what he was fighting. It had 6 legs on its bottom that were incredibly thick. Each one was wider then two of Jayson''s bodies side-by-side. It was 10 or so meters tall, and its branches were actually numerous membranes that connected together to form an arm-like appendage. The leaves it had were actual leaves, used so it could do photosynthesis. As for eyes and a mouth, it also had them. Two large slits adorned the top of its body, with two deep purple orbs of light at the very center. A bit below that, was a large circular hole with more of the membrane-like appendages surrounding it. As the dust rose, Jayson heard more of the same guttered cries coming out. With a quick inspection, he saw that most of the other same tree-beasts were also waking up. They all started bumping into each other, tripping and falling for a few seconds before looking towards him and growling. Chapter 28 Looking around, he counted 60 or so of these beasts. Without a second thought, tens of large gravity points appeared throughout the mass of beasts. His mana quickly drained, and after a few seconds he was already down to half. He stopped there and looked at the carnage he had created. Though only 7-8 had died, a good 30 of them were extremely damaged. A few others had light injuries, with only 13 of them being fully unharmed. Looking at the closest one, he began running forwards. Quickly using on it, he swung his pick horizontally, hitting it right in one of the eyes. Green "blood" burst out and showered over Jayson, but he quickly swung once more, killing it. Looking around, he saw three more of the beasts charging in at him. His mana was slowly raising, but he quickly used three small gravity points on the beasts, causing them to explode in a shower of green gore. This had cost him another 8% of his mana. He was now below 40%, and would have to be careful. A few seconds passed and he saw that a few more of the beasts had died due to blood-loss. This still left him with 9 unharmed and 30ish damaged ones left. Wielding his pick, he began to charge the damaged tree-beasts. A few seconds passed and a few more had died. He continued his spree until he heard a deep growl coming from the beasts. Staying a bit further back, he watched them all place their arm-membranes on the floor. Confused for a few seconds, he finally understood, albeit a bit late. Jumping upwards, the ground beneath his exploded outwards as hundreds of roots came spiraling outwards, all pushing towards him. He could feel the faint lines of mana going through them and knew that this was magic. Quickly casting he sent redirected some of the roots back at the beasts while he used to push himself further way from the beasts and their roots. Landing a few hundred meters away, he let his mana slowly refill as the beasts started chasing after him. Another 10 had died from his use of but that still left another 30 of them left. By the time they were 100 meters away, he had gained another 5% of his mana back. Now at 30%, he felt as if he could win the fight. With this last bit of mana, he cast three . He put 10% of his mana into each one. Looking at the results, he was happy, they looked like extremely weak and small black holes. The remaining damaged ones, which he had targeted, all died, and a few unharmed ones also died. It was now 1v5, with 2 unharmed, 2 harmed and 1 almost dead. Crouching down, he charged forwards full speed. Seeing two of them move forwards to intercept him, he quickly jumped to the sides and swung, managing to clip one with the edge of his pick. With his momentum, he managed to push it backwards a bit, and into one of the other beasts.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. Quickly turning around, he swung downwards, hitting the extremely damaged one and killing it. The one he had hit was still stumbling, so he took the opportunity to quickly kill it. With two left, he quickly charged the damaged one, and after a few swings, it died. Smiling, he turned around to kill the other one, when a root shot itself through his left leg. Feeling searing pain, he tried to swing downwards, but before he could the root swung him upwards then slammed him into the ground. Going unconscious for a few seconds, he let go of the pick. Quickly reopening his eyes, he saw himself get thrown up in the air, finally dislodged from the vine. Those few seconds of unconsciousness had gained him a bit of mana, and with the raise of a hand he quickly killed the last remaining beast. His body landed with a thud on a small mound of corpses. He laid there for a few minutes, allowing his injuries to slowly heal. Feeling the rest of the pain go away, he went to his status screen to see what had changed.
During the fight, you sustained a heavy injury to your leg. You''re left leg now has status debuff: Injured, for 10 hours. Agility -50%.
*Damn. I should''ve realized they would put something like this in the game. And also, this was the first thing I''ve killed that also uses magic. I should be more careful from now on, I could''ve died from that.*

Chapter 29 After bandaging his body with some sheets he had bought on the Kill-Store, he began walking along the island. His leg was slowly healing, and he hadn''t found any more of those tree-beasts. It seemed that he had killed most of the ones in the vicinity. While walking, he casually went through the Kill-Store, looking at some more purchasable skills. There were a lot here that would help him fight, but they only worked in certain scenarios he didn''t see himself getting into often. The skills from the Store seemed to be better if he custom-made them. They would work just as he wanted, even if at a greater cost. Looking at the Kill Coins, he saw the nice number of 613,219 coins. After many battles, he had found that it wasn''t just the level difference that affected coins gained, but also how hard the fight was in general. If he blew up a ship with a massive rocket, then he would barely get anything. But if he destroyed a ship by punching his way into its core and detonating it, he would gain many more, as it was harder for him. While walking, he quickly decided to do something he hadn''t every done, look at the weapons tab. The pick worked, but soon enough he would have to get actual weapons. He was still going to stick with his Pistol and Sword, but he would probably give up on his Fighting Style for now. it was way too over-exaggerated. He had taken some down-time to look up normal fighting styles, and none of them had half of the things his did. He would change that later. Looking through the list, he found many items. Some were massive railguns that had to be mounted on the floor before firing, some were canes that would shoot out the end. Some were rings that while small had extremely thin lasers on them. After going through a few of them, he decided to custom create a pistol. First, he imagined what it would look like. He designed it inside-out, almost as if he was building a pistol from scratch, which he technically was. It was the same size as his old pistol, but was shaped like a Magnum Revolver. He didn''t know why he chose that, but he did. The second thing he did, was make it so that he would never drop it on death. Lastly, he added an ability to it called Soul-Growth. It would get stronger the more times it''s bullets hit an enemy. It would start so weak that it couldn''t even dent a Wormin, but after shooting it enough, it would be strong enough to blast through those Tree-Beasts. Finishing the customization, he looked at it''s price. 235,000 coins. *Not bad for something that I''ll keep forever.* He bought it, and with it quickly made a sword that would do the same, but got stronger the more times it slashed an opponent. The sword was katana-shaped, and roughly the length of his hip to mid-calf. It was pitch black, with a dark blue guard and hilt. It also came with a scabbard that would never get broken by that sword. Happy with his purchases, he checked his stats to see that his leg injury had lightened up slightly. It was now only a 30% debuff, as opposed to 50%. Looking down the horizon, he saw that sun had barely moved since he had landed a few hours prior. This planet rotated, as otherwise this side of the planet would be melting hot, but apparently very slowly.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website. Leaving that, Sear quickly mined a hole in the ground before covering it and letting himself get some shut-eye. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He awoke some random number of hours later, and got ready to continue exploring the island he had landed on. This was one of the smaller landmasses of the planet, as he had seen 3 others roughly 10x the size. This one would probably still take a few days to explore, but it would be much faster than the others. With all this time for exploring, he could probably increase his endurance and agility a bit more. His weapons would probably also gain much more strength. While he was here he quickly inspected them.

He quickly thought about what a soul-weapon was, and a screen appeared before him.
Soul-Weapons are weapons that people can find in Dungeons that have a higher boss level than 10,000. They are bound by stabbing yourself with it. It will not injure you. As for cases like yours, since you purchased them they were automatically bound to you. Once bound, they can only be unbound when if the wielder decides they no longer wants it. To get rid of the bond, they must stab themselves in the heart. They will die from this, and all their stats will be reduced by 99% for 1 week afterwards. In cases where the Soul-Weapons have been together for a long time with their owner, in cases of unbinding, the weapon will explode and form a miniature black whole that destroys all solar-systems nearby.
*Well then. That''s pretty interesting. I guess I won''t be letting go of this things ever. I should probably also get someSoul bound armours, but those will be much more expensive as I''ll have to make them resistance to everything as well as also growing. They will also need to be super-light and flexible while still being extremely strong.* *For now, I can go without armours like I''ve been going, but soon, very soon, I''ll be going against things much stronger than before.* Checking his stats, he saw that his injury was finally fully healed. He had been walking for a few hours while thinking, but now that he was better, he began running. He was still inspecting things but so far hadn''t found anything to fight. Pushing forward, his body went from a normal walking speed to roughly twice the speed of sound. It seemed that as your stats get higher, their impact would lessen. For saw, One stat point from 10 to 11 would increase your speed by 10%, but going from 2,000 Agility to 4,000 Agility didn''t actually double your speed. He didn''t know how it worked, but he didn''t care. He was getting stronger, and thats all he cared about. Chapter 30 As he was running, he was also checking through the forums. He had seen a post earlier about someone that found out many funa nd easy ways to use their Stellar Skill . Jayson had used it much earlier to store some of the armor-plates from the Wormins, and after that he had all but forgotten about loot and the skill. He quickly turned around and ran backwards, realizing that all those tree-beasts probably dropped enough loot for him to fill a decent area up. Back to the forum post, the person had said that they had went to magic counselors, which were basically tutors that you could pay to teach you magic, and learned as many as they could with the money they had. Currently, they had learned, Void, Stellar, Gravity, Earth, Nature, Air, Water, Fire, Lightning, Summon, and Control. Void, Stellar, and Gravity Jayson already knew about. Earth allowed you to control terrain and do things like create planets and shatter moons near the late stages. Air allowed you to form massive pockets of poisonous or flammable gas large enough to cover planets at the later stages. Water allowed you to drown a whole planet or even, with enough practice, drown a sun. Fire, at the very last stages, allowed you to create fire in vacuums, water, select only certain things to burn, or create suns. Lightning allowed you to boost a spaceships efficiency by 1000% or suck all of the power from a solar system away. Summon allowed you to summon things to help you, and at the later levels summoning things like Moon Titans, which were giant rock beasts that hid as moons, was child''s play. Lastly, Control allowed you to change the very mana in the air. You could form tangible objects, and with enough practice, you can cancel someone else''s magic by making the mana within the spell fall apart. These 11 different types had allowed him to level Creation to Level 10, and his supposedly had a size of 100 by 100 kilometers. According to the guy, once you got to Level 5 you could put living things into the separate dimension, and at level 10 you could create buildings like Libraries, Homes, Storage Yards/Treasury Rooms, and even Mob-Farms. You could either spend you money on them, or you could put refined materials into the area and use them to build it. The only things that didn''t cost any money was changing the terrain to create mountains or oceans. Time inside also passed at the same speed as outside, so you could put an army of 1,000 inside and then release them all from one person. The only problem with this was that for every person you added, a large amount of mana would be taken away, something close to 500 per second, which would even make Jayson lose 200 a second, for only one person. Even with this, the person had already gotten many requests to have people power-level him and then use him as a Guild Barrack. Outside of the forums, some NPC groups had also done the same. After looking through all of this, Jayson had finally gone back to the battlefield. Laying on the floor were no longer a mass of bodies, instead, he saw 50 Vials of Purple Liquid, and 10-50 centimeter by 50 centimeter planks of their bark. Inspecting the liquid, he saw that their blood was used to create a Fertilizer that would increase the speed at which plants grow. Inspecting the bark, he saw that it''s ashes could be used to make luxury items like face creams. Though it was a game, cities with billions upon billions of NPC''s still existed, and people still had luxuries like make-up, jewelry, and other fancy items. He stored them all, and began running again. This time though, he decided to upgrade his skill. He quickly went into the Kill-Store and bought the least expensive skill from 20 different Magic Types. He got the skills for the Magic Types, Air, Fire, Water, Earth, Nature, Blood, Bone, Lightning, Light, Darkness, Shadow, Death, Life, Control, Spectral, Summon, Time, Seer, Necromancy, and Soul. Congratulations! has leveled to level 25! Due to this, you are now able to put living things into your world, create buildings, and create resource nodes! At Level 50, you shall gain something even better!

*God damn...100 thousand kilometers by 100 thousand kilometers? I can house an entire planet in there! I wonder if that''s actually possible...* He quickly put his hand on the ground, and tried to absorb the planet. It started working, but he quickly felt his body tremor as blood poured from his eyes, nose, mouth, and ears.
Warning! You have tried to perform an action you don''t have sufficient mana for! DUe to this you have gotten mana backlash. All pain should be gone in a few minutes. You had 0.0003% of the mana required to perform the task you tried to perform. Next time be more prepared.
*Damn. Absorbing the planet would require around 9,600,000,000 mana. I would need close to a billion intelligence before I could absorb this planet.* With that, he got up, and prepared to go change his world in . Chapter 31 Going back into that trance-like state that allowed him to edit his ''Inner-World'', he looked into the menu. He now had many more options. One was a color wheel, which he didn''t care much for. Secondly was a tab that showed everything living inside of this world. Another tab showed the resources that were on the planet. There was nothing listed there, as until he created some nodes(get to that in a bit) the only thing on the world would be ground below him. The third tab showed all the items in the plane. He had hundreds of Wormin scales, and the other items he got from the Tree-Beasts. The fourth, and second to last tab, allowed him to purchase buildings. He could pay with normal currency, in items(they would be "sold" to the world and would pay the same as their worth), could pay with Kill-Coins, and could pay with mana. Of course, if he had the materials for building, it would use them instead. The mana one was the only one that stood out, because of how much you needed. To build a simple room 5x5x2.5 meters would cost almost 500 mana, if it was built out of steel. For the highest tier material he could use(there were some ??? which were so expensive he couldn''t fathom them), the highest was Jhordite(Ee-or-it) which would cost around 300,000 mana for that same room. Looking through he options, he saw that he could also design his own rooms, as well as upgrade the materials of already existing rooms. He found no use in using high-end materials unless it was for a prison or the material would be made to create a massive structure that needed to support a mass amount of weight. With that in mind, he quickly began to create a custom building. Going to an area of his world that was fully flat, he carved a cube, 100x100x10 meters into the ground. He built 4 pillars of Forer(another metal) that extended 100 meters into the ground and went 250 into the air. This cost him 20,000 mana. He was slowly regenerating it, since he wasn''t in combat. He filled the cube with concrete, bringing it back up to ground-level. Then, at every 10 meters, he could create interweaving I-Beams, creating the layout for 25 floors. He left some space for an elevator that he was going to buy from the pre-built buildings. The I-Beams were made from Denine, and had cost him around 15,000 mana. He had to wait before finishing as his mana wasn''t fully back yet.Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work! As he let his mana recharge, he looked at the last new tab, the Nodes tab. Looking into it, he was quit surprised. He could nodes that would create ores. The more mana he put into it daily, the better the ores he would get. Speaking of ores, he saw a list of all the ores he could use: (Top is worst, bottom is best. This still isn''t done. if you have any suggestions, other than anything from Earth, as it''ll be weaker than Graphene and pretty useless.) Carbonated-Steel Reaq Graphene Honite Korite Viminite Darlite Denine Orgarum Crystalized-Reaq Boref Forer Untellium Algemite Fertium Platenite Lightite Voidetite Verbellium Crymenium Asonite Magnenite Obilum Jhordite It seemed that he would be able to get a lot of these materials on his own. The cost per kilo for them was cheaper, as he would have to mine, smelt, and then shape them into usable ingots to be used up while building. After looking through it some more, he decided to finish the building. He used Reaq for the walls, and instantly a 5 centimeter thick wall of a light-blue material covered the wall. For the floors and roof, he decided to use the same material. he wouldn''t need anything stronger. As he did so, he saw that in his Creation menu it showed that one building was built, but still not complete. Going into the store, he quickly finished it. Looking at it now, he was pretty happy. There was a 5-meter high 2 meter wide door made of a special type of wood. It looked almost like a throne door. Inside, to the leftmost corner was a 10x10 elevator that he had bought. it moved at roughly 25 meters per second, so it was fast enough for this part of the building. Taking up the majority of the floor, for all 25 floors, was a storage system. There were 7.5x7.5 meter walls, roughly 6 meters tall, that appeared on the room. The were like rooms, except with no ceiling. In-between them were 2 meter-wide walkways. Quickly picking up all of the monster-drops he had in the world, he put them all into their own separate "boxes." One was labeled ''Wormin Scales.'' Another was labeled ''Trel-Bark.'' Lastly the last one was labeled ''Trel-Blood.'' With this building now built, he would have a way to stockpile all of his monster-drops without piling them all into a hole. Going outside, he created a simple concrete road wrapping around the building, before having the road expend to the south, north, east, and west for at least 10 kilometers. He now had the basis for a small area in his creation. While thinking of what he wanted to do in the future, he quickly moved the building. Since it was already built, he could easily move it and the road over. He pushed them all as close to the cover as possible, which was until the southern and eastern roads touched the world-border. IF you made a line from the building to the world corner, you would create 2 triangles with the other roads. Happy with this, he stared off into the distance, already seeing the future. His grand plan, of absorbing and mining out entire planets. Published other story! Hey, guys! I just published the first book of my other story, Searful, on Amazon! Chapter 32 Opening up his Kill-Store, he finally went into the Familiars section. There, he saw a multitude of options, ranging from a sentient spaceship to a small parasite that would go into people''s bodies and chew away at their spinal cord. Going to the end, he saw what he wanted, a custom option. Pressing it, he got ready to create the most insane familiar to ever exist. He built it around one main objective, to destroy planets, but still be cheap at the start. He slowly tweaked it for half an hour before he smiled, happy with what he had created. It was a half-sentient spaceship, but instead of having millions of guns or anything, it was, at the start, just equipped with one thing. The Model Delta V Di-Tract Beam 2.3. It was a beam of energy, that when in contact with any matter, other than the owner and the actual ship itself, would slowly separate the atomic bonds of the matter, and separate all the separate elements into their purest forms. If it mined a planet made of iron and dirt then it would get a lot of ''Fe'', and whatever elements make up dirt. The Beam would then absorb the elements into an inter-dimensional storage in the ship, roughly 1/2 the size of the ship. it would then combine those elements into the materials it needed to expand its size. It would slowly grow in size, and eventually, reach the size of a planet, but that would take a long time. He would probably get it to a few thousand kilometers in length, and then just have it stop growing, allowing him to collect and use the materials in his world. It would control itself, and as it grew its sentience would also grow, slowly making it have less of a robotic personality and more of a human one, except it''s a huge planet-eater personality. It sounded too good to be true, when he looked at the cost, merely 10,000 Kill-Coins, of which he had close to 350,000 of. The only problem would be that it started off at a size of 1 by 1 by 1 centimeters. He could expand the starting size to 2 by 2 by 2, but that would increase the price of it to over 100,000 coins, and that seemed like a bit much for such a small change.Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel. Another positive of it was that he didn''t need to absorb planets into his world, as since it was a familiar it could go out and do everything on its own. He probably would create a small mining area in his world, but that would be for later. Right now, he had what he wanted, and he bought it. Instantly, he got booted out of his inner world. Looking around, he saw a small mass of light congregating near him. It''s brightness flared before all but vanishing. Standing in its place was a Deep-Blue colored cube. It was Deep-Blue because that''s the color of Jhordite, the most expensive and strongest known material, which he made the ship out of. Looking at it, he heard a metallic and raspy voice in his head. ''Hello. I am Cosmic Devourer #00001. I am pleased to meet you, creator. How do you wish for me to expand?'' "What do you mean choose how I wish for you to expand?" ''I can either grow around the Di-Tract Beam, making it bigger and making it easier for me to absorb and use elements, or I can grow into a Colony Mother-ship, capable of housing millions of people. On the other hand, I could simply grow into a massive starship, thousands of kilometers long, lined with state-of-the-art weapons from my own computational designs.'' "Hmmm. Currently, I want you to expand your beam and devouring capabilities. Later on, we shall see what I will need you to grow into. For now, stay in here." He opened his pocket, and let it stay there. He also took a small stick and broke it before placing it into his pocket. He saw a little orange flash, and then a small line of pure red stabbed into one of the pieces. *I guess that''s the beam it had. But it seems a little overpowered. Able to grow into anything, it would definitely have a good future, if he managed to keep it alive long enough for that to happen. It also would probably attract a lot of enemies, scared of its offensive capabilities, or just wanting to take it for their own. This will be fun.* Notice I''ll be focusing most of the summer to writing this story as I want to flesh it out and get the world building out of the way, so that next year I can go into the true difficulties and story telling parts of the story. Aka OP-ness.Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. Expect chapters multiple times a week! Finally! I''ll see how much I can write daily, but I''ll try 2-4 pages a day, which isnt much, but this isn''t my main hobby, nowhere close actually, cause if it was I would have over 1,000 pages by now with how much time I spend doing other things! Chapter 33 A few hours passed, and he had finally saw something different about the island he was on. There seemed to be a large mountain in the center, easily a few kilometers tall. He also caught a small glimpse of the nearby continent, when he climbed up a tree to look around the horizon. It was quite dark now, getting closer and closer to dusk. He was still just running along the shore, trying to fill up his map of the continent. While running through, he saw something glimmer in the forest. Looking towards it, he saw a silver obelisk sitting in the center of a small clearing. It was levitating off of the floor, and as Jayson walked up to it, it began to release a low hum. HE put his hand to it, but quickly pulled back as he saw it light up. From the bottom, neon lights began carving themselves into the obelisk. The humming slowly got louder and louder, before the floor beneath it slowly began to vibrate. The dirt shifted and dust began to rise as the entire clearing began getting covered in an eerie black mist. As the neon lines continued spreading, the obelisk began to shake, small pieces of itself falling off. Finally, the lights connected back at the top, and a small black laser shot off into the air, before the floor beneath him crumbled, swallowing him into an endless pit of darkness. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- POV Change: At the companies development HQ "Sir. He was in a pitch black area, and couldn''t actually see anything, other than the screen in front of him, telling him that he got a new skill Light-Fall, which reduced the damage taken from falling from great heights. The fall he just took already got it to level 11. He continued looking around, and after a minute or two he remembered that he had a skill he could use for this. , teh skill he got from Seer magic, which allowed him to see everything within 2 meters of himself. Quickly turning it on, he felt his sight come back. It wasn''t really like sight, but instead he could almost sense everything around him. For now, all he saw was himself standing on a gravel-like substance. He quickly began walking around, trying to find the edge of the room. As he walked, his map also began filling in, so once he walked the entire are of the space he was in, he would be able to see where he was on the map. By the time he had found the walls of the room, had gotten to level 3, letting him see everything within 3 meters. Each level seemed to increase the distance by 0.5 meters, so in the future this skill would be very useful. He would even be able to use it while traveling faster than light, as he could still sense everything around him. The room was 20x20 meters, and had a large door near one of the corners. The door was slightly crooked, tilted to the left a few degrees. Either way, it was the only opening or exit Jayson could see for now, so he decided to go through it. Chapter 34 Stepping through the door, and into a decrepit cavern full of stalactites, a window appeared before Jayson.

His body shivered with an irresistable fear, the air around him becoming stale and hard to breathe in. Like a puppet with it''s string cut, Jayson fell to the floor. His body motionless, blood seeped out of every minuscule pore he had, dying his surroundings a deep red.

He was floating in an endless expanse of white. The only things visible were his semi-transparent body and the respawn window, looming before him. *Wait, I never changed my respawn. How did the game forcefully change my...* His body exploding in a flash of green, he appeared once again inside the Tribunal City, albeit at a different place. Just as he was about to look around, he heard the buzzing again. Slowly overwhelming him, attempting to consume his thoughts, it got louder and louder, until he snapped. An inhumane scream flew out of his mouth, bouncing throughout the cavern, slowly echoing into the distance, soon drowned out by the now even louder buzzing. Just as he died once more, a notification popped up before him.
New skill gained! Psychic Resistance Level 1.
Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. Before he could see what the skill gave him though, he was forced back into the white void, staring at the respawn screen. *Fuck. Please don''t make me go back into the endless horror...* But it did. Countless times, for an uncountable amount of time, Jayson was sent back, killed, respawed, and killed again. After 5 times, his skill got to Level 2. After 17, it got to Level 3. After over 500, it got to level 7. After a few thousand deaths, each one just as horrific and painful as the last, the skill got to level 67. By now, he had died so many times that whenever he would respawn, his body would immediately be soaked in blood up to his knees, the cavern he was in filled with the stench of blood. The only positive change to came out of this ordeal was the fact that he was slowly starting to last longer and longer against the beast. Finally, with this last level up, he could finally live long enough to take in his surroundings, and try to find the monstrosity killing him. The place was pretty dark, but with his skill, he was able to see some things. it had also, through all this time, leveled up to Level 117, giving him a 60 meter radius. Before ''It'' could get to him again, he quickly ran forwards, trying to find it in the pond of blood. Just as he felt his consciousness give, his sight finally landed on it. It truly was a monstrosity. Fully black, with white and gold specks layered around, it had two endless abyss''s as eyes. Even though he wasn''t really looking into them, he could feel himself almost get sucked in. He tried inspecting it, but nothing came up. Either he was too far from it, or wouldn''t let you use it. He continued to die, and after a few minutes, he finally managed to get close to the thing. He still couldn''t inspect it, and knowing that his soul-weapons were still too weak, he decided to try punching it to death. While its mental and psychic capabilities were strong, its physical stats left something to be desired. It moved extremely slowly, couldn''t react to his punches, and slowly crumpled under the barrage of punches. As he went on, the buzzing slowly got drowned out by the sound of it receiving his blows. Finally, it had died. It''s body quickly turned into a liquid-like substance before mixing with the blood in the cavern, slowly disappearing.

And of course, if his hundreds if not thousands of deaths couldn''t be bad enough, he couldn''t even gain xp here. At least his stats would level up quickly. Sensing something entering the borders of , he brought his hands up, the mana coursing through his veins throbbing with anticipation. Chapter 35 Looking at it clearly, he could still see the same race of being. The eyes and body were the same, but this one didn''t rely on it''s psychic capabilities, and looking at the body shape, it would probably be an agility variant. It''s dark eyes, emptier than the largest expanse of space, seemingly seemed to gain a small sparkle of light, before it charged forwards. It was fast. Very fast. So fast in fact that if it wasn''t for him having , he probably wouldn''t be able to see it, as it without a doubt moved faster than his eyes. Before it hit him, he managed to slightly tilt his body, allowing the beast''s attack to only slightly graze his left shoulder, instead of blasting through his chest. It landed a few meters away, and stopped moving. It''s neck turned a full 180 degrees, and on it''s face, was a smile. Made of the same things it''s eyes were made of, it had a full smile. Jayson didn''t know where it came from, nor how it managed to give itself a mouth, because he was too busy trying to dodge and fight back against it''s next onslaught. It charged him with punches, kicks, grapples, everything it could do with it''s body, while keeping the smile on it''s face. A few minutes of this passed and Jayson gained a new skill, . He instantly felt a minuscule change in how quickly he could tell where the punches were heading. Too bad that wasn''t actually the skill. His dexterity just kept increasing, but he couldn''t tell until now. Part of the way through, he was getting comfortable enough to use to teleport himself out of the way or teleport it into the way. Just as he was slowly managing to push the creature back, his punches connecting with it''s much more solid body, it spoke. ''you...are...not...strong...enough'' His body shook, not from surprise, but from the fear he felt. His body shivered, his previous tempo being completely destroyed by the involuntary body movements. His began leveling up at record-breaking speeds as the beast started to land punches on his body. He coughed up a lungful of blood, after a devastating punch had broken a rib and caused it to carve a design through his lung.Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. You have been killed by a Semi-Awoken Void Runner.
Waiting a few seconds, he let himself get respawned. Looking around with , that was quickly becoming his most favorite skill, he saw nothing around him. He seemed to have respawned in a different area of the dungeon. *What...was...that... they can talk? And what the hell is with this retarded ass dungeon? This isn''t even a dungeon as I can''t get experience in here. I might as well try ginding some skills out in here if I''ll have to fight through hundreds of things each as strong as that.* He continued ranting in his mind for a few minutes before finally beginning to move. Looking around, he was once again in a cavern, but along the walls were broken doors and windows, most likely leading to different buildings. It seemed to be an ancient rock-wall dwelling civilization. Maybe those creatures he fought were just the corrupted versions of those who survived what happened to the city. There was sparse lighting around, coming from red mushrooms growing along the floors. There also seemed to be some kind of ore in the walls, which he would be able to mine later. As he was looking around, his familiar talked to him again. ''I''ve finished absorbing the materials you put into your pocket creator.'' "Good job. How much have you grown?" ''There were enough materials for me to expand a total of 1.24%. The rest of the materials are stored within my dimensional storage.'' "What can you put into that dimensional storage?" ''I am sorry creator, but I can only put the basic elements into the storage, but it is endless to make up for that. Do you wish for me to continue growing my decomposition capabilities?'' "Yes. Do that for now. Here." Leaning over, he picked up a few rocks and one of the small red mushrooms before putting it into his rocket. Looking around, he decided to start moving. In the distance, towards one of the cavern walls, was one of the larger doors that were cut into it. It had paths leading to most of the other doors, either serving as a main area or some kind of storage. Opening the door, which actually just fell over from old age, he looked in. It was a mostly empty room except for a small wall standing of the middle. Going close to it, he could see primitive carvings in the walls. The people in the carvings were bipedal but had two sets of arms. One from near their hips and one from their normal shoulders. They were all kneeling to a larger figure that looked exactly like them. Next to it were two doors, each one with different symbols on them. Jayson turned around, finished looking at the carvings.Seeing a staircase in the corner, he began walking up it. Going wherever it led him. Not a Chapter - Poll Hey guys! Back again! I''ve been rereading and looking over the story a bit, and I''ve realized that the quality is really sub-par. The world-building is messed up, teh characters are really flat, and most of the other problems people had with the story are still there. Because of this, I''m planning on going back into the story a bit and revising it. I won''t change the fact that he has an over-powered shop, or the actions that he did. All I''ll do is add more detail and depth to the people and the world.Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. I was planning on either doing it slowly, and still releasing chapters as I do that, or should I just do it completely for a few days and then go back to releasing chapters? I want to ask you all as you are the readers. Vote in the poll. Thanks for sticking with the story even with it''s slightly sub-par author Poll Question: Should I revise it slowly and release chapters at the same time or do it all at once and then go back to releasing chapters? Chapter 36 The staircase was creepy. Enough that Jayson felt like not going down it. The walls, made of stone bricks, was slowly falling apart. Plant roots were breaking through the gaps in the mortar, slowly making their was into the staircase. Small stalagmites and stalactites were slowly being formed along the steps, forcing him to slowly maneuver his way down. The staircase continued in this way for a few more minutes, before ending up leading into a wide, long hallway. it was mostly barren, save for the broken chandeliers spaced around the floor every 10 or so meters. The stone underneath him slowly cracked, his weight enough to break the remainder of the era-old construction. The hallway never ended, never changed. Just an endlessly long tunnel through the planet. Time passed, and by now Jayson had taken to running. There were no traps, no beasts, no doors, just endless hallway with the occasional dripping of water. It was quite calming, the slow drip, but even still, the unrelenting sense that something bad was coming never went away. It started as a small feeling in his gut, and had rapidly changed to cold sweat pouring down his body.Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit. He didn''t know what it was either, as he hadn''t gotten a notification of gaining or increasing the level of a resistance skill. The sense of dread increasing, he finally came to a door. The hallway hadn''t ended, but there was a random door on the left side of the hallway. Unlike the rest of the area, the door wasn''t worn at all. It looked like it had been placed down the day before actually. Walking up to it, the sense seemed to fade away. Looking at it, he was shocked. Its craftsmanship was overwhelming. Each curve done into the wood was made with precision accuracy, each drawing perfectly representing the golden ratio, it was like a door made by gods. After a minute of tracing his eyes over the door, he got a pop-up.
For studying the work of a Godlike Carpenter, you have gained the Skill: Carpentry.
Carpentry
Level 10 0%
Description The ability to work with wood is one long gone. Through technological advancement, wood became useless, replaced with other, sturdier materials. Carpentry is the path to understanding wood, and using it to create objects capable of pleasing the gods.
Chapter 37 Seeing the skill, Jayson was snapped out of his daze. Looking back at the door, he noticed that there was a marking by the handle. He didn''t know what it said, but there was a small skull at the end. *I mean, if I die, I''ll just respawn in a different area, and most likely won''t have to keep traveling down this hallway. If i get respawned back here, at least I''ll be able to move quickly knowing that I''ve already passed through most of this. But I wonder how high your skill-level had to go for it to be considered Godlike...* Psyching himself up, he opened the door. On the other side was a prison. It was a wide room, maybe 20 or so meters wide, and a hundred long. By the walls were tens of cages, big enough to stuff a car into. Most of the cages had skeletons from long-dead captives still inside. Some of the cages were empty, with large portions of their bars either bent or pulled out of the ground and ceiling. There were small holes within most of the cages, either as toilets or something Jayson didn''t know of. Walking closer to the bars, where his could give them more detail, he saw that there were runes carved into them. They had been long-since worn out, with chinks where they used to be, or rust taking up a majority of them, but the runes were still there. It really made Jayson think, how a civilization capable of creating runes and with people with Godlike skills got destroyed and corrupted. Just as he was going to continue walking, he got a notification. He had set the game-forums to tell him about any trending subjects. Apparently one had just popped up. Looking around and making sure that there was nothing around him, he opened it. It was titled: Ley-World player, York Johnson, wins International Bodybuilding Association yearly competition. *What does a player winning the competition have to do with the game, other than him playing it?* Going down, there was a video of man. He was the typical bodybuilder, around 185cm tall, with over 140kg of muscle. He had won the competition in the Leg subdivision, subsequently beating the world-records for every maneuver he did. When asked how he won, he simply said Ley-World. Most people were confused about it, but after a few hours news organizations began linking Gorden Co.''s(company that created Ley World) statement on how the stats in game would increase someones strength in real life, at a factor of 1,000 to 1. This led to people believing that he was most likely one of the Top 10 current Strength players in the world, if not the first place player. While he would lose muscle from staying in the game and not working out, gaining the strength of an average person on top of what he already had would make a big impact. Currently, there were hundreds of bodybuilders and Bodybuilding organizations asking to have him disqualified, as it would be unfair to compare him to people who worked on their muscles in reality. This brought on a huge plague of people calling for the game to be shut down as, all sport related programs would be destroyed by people who played the game, Jayson''s parents included in the plague. The Head Devs and the CEO of Gorden Co had stated that they would release an official statement about it later. *Now that I think about it, next time I leave the game, which should be in a few days, I''ll be so much stronger than before. I kind of forgot about it last time with the fact that my parents wanted to talk to me, but this time I should be able to test myself.* He was also worried that his parents were going to do something. He knew they hated Gorden Co, as it was another large competitor they had to deal with. *But now, with my increased intelligence, I should finally be able to fight my dad on fair grounds.* Quickly looking at his stats, he was happy.

He could tell how every stat other than Wisdom would affect him, but he would leave that for later. Closing the forums, he got up and continued to explore. Most of the cages were in the same state or disrepair. There were a few a bit different, with their bars either melted or crushed into a ball, but he simple thought of it as different people escaping in different ways. Getting closer to the end, he saw something in the corner of a cage. There was a small mass of pure black substance, almost like an even denser version of Maple Syrup slowly bobbing up and down as he got closer. He tried to inspect it, and nothing came up. Either it was some random element that bobbed up and down, or it was the same as the creatures he just killed. He was willing to bet it was the latter, especially when it started moving. It quickly bounced off the wall it was on, colliding into one of the skeletons in its cell. The two quickly fused together. The black substance wrapped around the bones, acting like muscles, and soon it picked itself up. The skeleton was well over 2 meters tall, and stared at him. Most of the body was covered, save for the skull, which was connected to the ball through the slime-like substance holding it''s spine. Looking at it, Jayson quickly pulled his weapons out. He knew they were still extremely fragile, as he hadn''t used them once, but now was as good of time as any to start increasing their damage, as later on in the destroyed city he would probably need them. He quickly fired two shots at the creature, both doing nothing but simply fading when they touched. He put around 500 mana into each, and when they collided he could ''feel'' the gun becoming slightly stronger. Before the skeleton could move though, he quickly began firing like a maniac. Around 40 shots, each with 500 mana left the gun, all trailing towards the skeleton. It''s hand quickly raised up, the bullets all colliding onto it. The last bullet finally did something, causing a small wisp of smoke to come off of the body. The black mass vibrated and stomped it''s foot in pain. With it''s stomp, the floor beneath Jayson began to quake before entire prison area cracked, the ceiling beginning to break apart. Quickly turning his body 90 degrees, Jayson barely dodged a stalactite from impaling him.
Skill gained: Dodging
*You mean to tell me that it took me this long to get dodge? I''ve been dodging enemies for hundreds of hours already!*
Basic skills, like Dodging, Shooting, Swordsmanship, Punch, Throwing, etc, only get unlocked when you complete a True version of them. Ex. True Dodge, True Shot, True Swing, True Punch, True Throw. True only occur when you complete an action in the most efficient manner, causing it to take a long time for anyone to gain a skill like these.
*Well thanks for telling me this now and now when I start playing the game. Would have helped.*
No problem.
*Is it being sarcastic...* Quickly pulled out of his thoughts by another boulder that almost crushed him, he continued to fire shots at the beast. They still barely did anything to the thing, other than making larger puffs of smoke appear. It still hadn''t moved from it''s spot, its body wriggling around, conjoining around the skeleton even more. Any boulder that came close to them would be absorbed into the black mass, a small, thin layer of rocks appearing on its surface, almost as if to act as a sort of armor. Though Jayson''s damage kept increasing, so did the black mass''s defense. He was down to 5,000 mana now, having shot more bullets than he could easily count. Seeing that this was going nowhere, he tried a different tactic. Using twice, he separated skeleton in half at the hips, the two pieces ending up a few meters from each other. The beast roared, a mouth appearing in the center of the torso, before the two pieces got up and collided together, forming back into the full skeleton, the black mass having sewn itself together. The mouth still in place, its head jerked towards Jayson. The falling rocks slowed down, soon coming to a stop in mid air. The ceiling held, gravity seemingly turned off in the area, but Jayson could tell that it did something else, as someone who used , he could tell that gravity was trying to force the rocks to move. The only other option, was it used . You''d think that being able to teleport yourself and control gravity would help you fight against rocks, but considering he was well below ground, there wouldn''t be much he would be able to do. Chapter 38 2 days had passed since Ley World''s official release, and millions were waiting for Gorden Co''s official statements to be made. The general populous of the political, scientific, gaming, and athletic communities were all sat inside of the massive Gorden Stadium. Built a few months before Ley World''s release, it was meant to be an area for interviews, general statements, and competitions. Today was it''s first day in operation, and it was packed to the full. Over 175,000 people were sat around the seats, hundreds of news crews aiming their camera''s at the stage, waiting for Felix Gorden to come out. Seated closest to the stage were the important figures. Politicians, well-renowned scientists, a representative from the Olympic Committee. They were all here waiting for one thing. Knowledge about how the game affected people''s bodies in real life. Many believed it was impossible, some wanted to see if it was possible to exploit it. Other wanted to know how major of an impact it had. The tension inside the stadium was high, everyone silently waiting for Felix to come out. Cameras flashed, people stirred, drones flew overhead, the stadium was in a mode of chaos. Amidst all this, a short man, close to 160cm in height, with fading black hair, an unkempt beard, walked up to the podium. Tapping on the microphone a few times to get everyones attention, he spoke. "Hello everyone! My name is Kod Wrake. I would like if you could all calm down, as Mr. Gorden will be appearing here within the minute. Thank you all for your support!" His voice boomed, and like a wave, silence spread around the stadium. He got off the podium and sat down on one of the chairs on the stage, looking towards the opening where Felix Gorden would be coming through. Finally, he walked through. A middle-aged black man, roughly 185cm. He had short, slicked back hair, and a tidy beard. He was well built, the contours of his body showing through the grey suit he wore. If anything, he looked closer to the perfect sugar daddy than the leader of an almost trillion dollar company. He slowly stepped onto the podium, a sense of awe overcoming those who looked at him. Nobody took a picture, nobody moved, everyone stared. Finally he spoke. "Hello everyone. I am Felix Gorden, and this will be the first public announcement that Gorden Co. makes about Ley World. I welcome you all."If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. His voice, like a mix of an angel''s singing, the most charismatic man''s voice, and the smoothest deep voice anyone had ever heard. People sprang from their seats, cheering. Some recorded the events, other screamed and whistled. News crews began moving, recording everything he said and taking hundreds of picture from hundreds of angles. After a minute, everyone calmed down, and he spoke once more. "Today, due to popular interest, we will not be talking about the overall game. Instead, we will be focusing more on a single aspect. Virtual to Reality Body Compensation, or VRBC for short. VRBC is, if you havn''t guessed by now, the reason that the player''s body in real life changed depending on their in-game statistics." "We have it toned to 1-1000, reality to virtual. Basically, if we took our bodies and calculated what their in-game bodies stats would be, the human average would be 10 for everything. We don''t exactly know the exact differences between 9 and 10 or 10 and 9, except that the higher, the better your body is at it." "With the toning at 1-1000, you would need to gain 1000 in-game points in one stat for your real life ''stat'' to go up by one. For example, if someone has an 10 strength, and gets to 1000 strength in-game, then they''re strength in real life will go up to 11. It isn''t all at once, as each stat point in game affects your body with decimals included. So if you got 500 strength in game, your body would be at 10.5 strength or etc." "The toning doesn''t stay like this for long though, as once you get to a certain point in real life, it will take more and more in-game stats for your body to change itself. While it is possible for someone to get to 110 stats in real life, it would take much more than 100,000 in-game stats, most likely closer to 300,000." "As for why the toning is at 1-1000 and not higher or lower, lower would mean that the increase would be so small that your body wouldn''t accept the change, and revert it as only a small change occurred. Any larger and you would be sore for eternity, your body not able to keep up with the change. Now then, to better explain the scientific points of VRBC, I''ll have Mr. Goldfield, Gorden Co''s lead scientist and engineer, to explain it to you. Mr. Goldfield if you please." Mr. Goldfield, an average man of Asian decent, with long since grayed hair and wrinkles adorning his face, stood up to the podium. The scientific community nodded, acknowledging him as the world famous scientist he is. Mr. Gorden stood to the side, silently waving at the crowds. He spoke, a short, raspy voice coming through. "Hello everyone. As Mr. Gorden previously stated, your stats affect your real body to a certain degree. The reason for this, was that your brain, upon seeing that it''s working at a better and more efficient manner than before, will attempt to change itself to work at that level." "As you all know, in this game the stats are infinite, so it''s possible that with enough time someone in real life will be 100, maybe 1000 times stronger than the average human in intelligence, strength, dexterity, etc. This does cause some side affects, such as needing many more calories, but by the time people get to a high enough level that it makes a difference, someone will have invented something with their much higher intelligence." "Also, with the creation of the V-R market, any high-up players will be able to make money off the game with enough time put in it. But that will be for later. Now, any questions?" Notice Hey guys! Sorry for not releasing chapters these past few days. I''ve been busy trying to get all of the special chapters written out, as 20k words are quite a grind to write well, especially when you put a lot of backstory into it. A chapter will be up in a day or two, along with me updating the previous chapters that i went back and fixed. This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. Sorry for taking a bit longer than expected, but in a day or two you''ll have so much to read you won''t have enough time. (Probably not. 20k words is like an hour of reading?) Chapter 39 A few hours had gone by, with long, drawn out answers being given to hundreds of repetitive, drawn out questions. Mr. Goldfield had left after two or so hours, leaving the other programmers, scientists, and engineers to answer everything. Mr. Gorden just sat in his chair, looking around and smiling. HE should be. He was on the path to becoming one of the richest and most influential person on the planet. Ley World sales had already raked up an astonishing 750 billion USD, most of which was given back due to various bank loans, paying back investors, and putting enough money aside to pay the entire company''s budget for a year. He was already well-off before he started Gorden Co, as the son of a lawyer and doctor pair. He had enough money that after graduating from College he was able to create a small investing firm in which he slowly gained more money, amounting to close to a billion USD. Afterwards, he sold the company, starting Gorden Co at the age of 35. Due to his reputation in the investing field, he quickly got hundreds of people to invest money into his idea, which at the time still didn''t have a name. Slowly he had found world-renowned scientists and engineers working for him, and soon fully immersive VR became real. It had been out for a few months at specially designed Drop-Homes, where people would pay a certain fee per hour to do something in the VR capsule. Back then, the time compression was only 2-1, but it still allowed people to do things faster than normal. Some people went there to study, others to practice their crafts and skills in simulations. With the money from that, and investors seeing that his ideas were paying off, he received even more money, allowing for the full team to work on Ley World. He had over 2,000 programmers working on the AI mainframe alone, wanting to make a life-like game. The AI wasn''t fully sentient, but it was as close as possible. It had everything it needed except for the concept of self. It was blocked out in the foundations of its code that it would never know what ''self'' was. No matter how life-like it was, it would never be able to know what it was, study itself, or thinking about itself. It just simply did it''s job. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. With everything coming along, they allowed the AI to create the world, from the beginnings of time to where it currently was. The of course edited it afterwards, very drastically, but at least they wouldn''t have to make a world from scratch. Soon, they finished, and with everything done, the beta began. It went exactly as planned, except for one small hitch with a certain someone, but that had all been fixed. He hadn''t cared much about it, and as one of the Top-Players and one of the players with the most potential, they were certain that it wouldn''t matter. With the release, millions of people ran to the stores, buying everything they could. Some people bought the capsule with the game, some bought the capsule with simulations to help practice their crafts with time compression. Image one of the best carpenters in the world, aged 50. HE would have around 10-20 years before he retired, but with the time compression he could stretch that out to another 40-80 years of practice in carpentry. Many private schools were also looking for capsules to be implemented in them to allow faster teaching to occur. The more they could cram in, the smarter people would be when older. For now, most of the capsules went to the game, as it had the highest price and highest profit for the company. One he had a much stabler foundation for the company, he would expand, but that would be later. For now he just had to be careful with a full powerhouses. A few of the multi-trillion dollar families were trying to team up on him, not wanting to allow another corporation into the ground. The Belliars, the most influential family in the world with a net worth of 7 trillion USD. They sprang up from nowhere, taking over hundreds of the largest and most powerful corporations into themselves. All of the big corporations from the early 21st century had become a branch of them. The other trillion dollar families were all CEO''s and owners of large companies that were very friendly with the Belliars. They had most of the control over everything that took place, and as such didn''t want to allow, anyone else to join their little group that they controlled. Too bad for them, their ''disgrace of a son'' which half of the world didn''t know of, was quite the avid player of Ley World. Chapter 40 (Part 1) With the first day of questions over. Everyone was free to leave the stadium and go back to whatever hotel they were staying at. There were still a few more days left, some for more questions, and some for the game''s special events. Since by now in-game it had passed more than a week, some of the larger planets would be having a special event issued to all players currently on them. There were thousands of small rainbow colored balls that were going to be placed around the planets, and the players had to collect as many of them as they could. If you saw another player with them, you were free to kill and steal it from them. The prices weren''t announced yet, but people were thinking it would most likely have to do with either the foundation of a guild, or spaceships. Guilds were notoriously hard to make, with nobody having made one yet, simply because the licenses required to create, name, and run one were insane. You needed to be able to hire hundreds of lawyers, doctors, and suppliers, and so far, nobody had the money to buy the in-game basic guild pass, which came with everything you needed. Some places sold it cheaper than others, but just finding one planet that sold it was hard enough. As for spaceships, though small ones had been bought by players, medium sized carriers/warships, or even high-tiered hangers were still far from the player''s reaches. The price could also be more stats for people, but the general populous thought it unlikely. Most people in-game didn''t go for fighting, so stats wouldn''t be that important for everyone. What most people needed was to just level-up they''re skills, as they could gain serious profit off of it. Many engineers also moved into playing in the game, being able to buy high-tech labs after just a bit of messing around and selling items. One of the questions asked a few hours prior was actually about that. If someone invented something in-game that could be used IRL, what would happen with copywrite and such. Well, the company was preparing to not only pay for the licensing, but also invest in it enough money to buy a factory and get distribution running. The company would in the end receive 25% of the profits along with the total invested money after 3 years. This allowed them to make some money and get the money they put into it back, giving them a large profit. Many people were opposed to this, but there was nothing they could do. The game was theirs. They could either use it to invent things quicker, or they wouldn''t be able to use it at all. Back to the event, since most people still didn''t know what the prices were, they were taking it lightly. There were a few hardcore players who were ready to scour through planets to find anything they could that would give them an advantage. It would last 1 day in-game, so the IRL livestreams would take a while. To make sure nobody stream-sniped, the devs had also made it so that anybody who joined the event couldn''t leave until it was done, else everything they wouldn''t be able to log back in until after it happened. Past the event, people would be going into specially designed capsules at the stadium that allowed there to be a massive 100v100 LAN battle. People could pit any basic weapon /magic, and use it throughout the fight. This would happen a few times, with different maps, different objectives, and different people. It was sure to take a while. With all of this included, it would be another 2 days until the ''Grand Ceremony Festival'' would end. For now, Gorden Co. just had to get ready to talk about the in-game to IRL market, where people would be allowed to convert real cash to IRL cash, and buy IRl items with cash. It was quite the pay-to-win system, but in the game, skills and stats mattered more than gear.If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the start of today''s events, Mr. Gorden was already there. There wouldn''t be any more entrances, as today''s topic would be quite long and would require lots of explaining, and they still needed time afterwards for the start of the event. It was 9:15 AM and the last people were getting seated inside the stadium. The news stations were once again all set up, lights flashing everywhere. People buzzed in their seats, awaiting the start. 5 minutes passed, and Mr. Gorden took the stage once more. Dressed in red khaki pants and a white button-down, he looked much more casual than many wold expect from one of the soon-to-be trillionaire. "Welcome everyone to the second day of our little gathering. As you all know, today''s topics will be about the game''s markets, and the exchange of money from one to the other. I''ll be giving the overall talk while afterwards a few of the people responsible for this system will come up and explain it in a better light." "Firstly, Player''s will be able to buy in-game currency using real-life money. The exact amount is yet to be decided, and most likely won''t be decided for a few more weeks, as we plan to iron everything out. You can''t use in-game currency for real-life money though. The only way to make money off of this game is selling items, houses, ideas, companies, etc. You can be a carpenter and create a masterful set of furniture, and sell it on the market for real-money." "The reason for player''s paying with actual money is the extra-fees and delivery time. If you bought something from another player for in-game currency, you would have to pay for it to be sent to you by ship, and you could have to wait for days or even weeks depending on how far from the vendor the customer is. If you pay with actual money though, you won''t have to pay extra fees and the items will be instantly delivered to you." "By the time we decide the IRL to In-Game currency system, we will have made it so that buying it straight with money and not in-game currency will cost less than just buying the currency and then purchasing the item." "Finally, as for the currency exchange, all the money will obviously go to Gorden Co. but for the market deals using IRL money, Gorden Co. will take 1% of the money. It''s quite cheap compared to most other game platforms, with some using up to 25%. Now then. That''s the basis. Now lets let one of the men who created this have his turn." Mr. Gorden came down, allowing another man onto the stage. He was wearing a simple black suit and tie, and had a short buzz-cut. "Hello everyone! My name is Felix Ealif. I''m the lead creator of the market and it''s systems. Questions will be answered shortly, but I want to add on to what Mr. Gorden has said. We plan for the currency exchange to be quite generous. With $100 you will be able to buy a decently built ship capable of fitting multiple people. Most of the beta-players don''t even have enough in-game currency for that." "We''ll also probably be increasing the currency exchange for holidays or other important dates. We also plan to give an extra percent to people who pay more than $100. For example, if you exchanged $100 for 100 of the in-game currency, you would get 101 of the currency. If you exchanged $200, you would get 204 of the currency. This goes on and on, until the point that is someone want''s to spend $10,000 on currency exchange, they will get double what the would normally get." "Now, as Mr. Gorden spoke about the player market where people will be able to pay with actual money, we are currently overseeing the completion of it, and don''t have much to talk about, as it''s still being fixed and worked upon, as we also have to work with almost every bank in the world for this to work properly." "Finally, all the money gained from currency exchange and the 1% taken from market transactions will all be put towards the development teams, to get more and more content added to the game. While the world is generated by the computer, the developers still have to go back into the generated world and turn it into a world capable of sustaining and enticing millions of people." "Now then, any questions?"
