《You're A Faerie, Wizard》
Chapter 000: Youre A Wizard
You know that old mythos, the one where if you remain a virgin until thirty then you become a wizard? Well what if I told you that there was more fact to it than originally thought. Huh? Are you calling me a liar that¡¯s spouting out bullshit? Well I do understand where you¡¯re coming from, after all even I didn¡¯t believe in such things back then. At least not until it happened to me.
You see I actually heard this from God after I had died. The cause of my death wasn¡¯t something like getting hit by a vehicle, being killed by a hostile being, or even by some accident by God. Nope, my death was good old natural old age. While my seventy-four year old life wasn¡¯t anything exciting, at least it wasn¡¯t filled with danger either.
Anyways, after I had died I met the being known as God. From him I learned the truth. Apparently remaining a virgin until thirty does grant a person¡¯s soul some mana. The only thing is that this amount is quite miniscule, so much so that the person won¡¯t even know they attained anything of the sort. Thirty was the starting point, the older you got the more mana you would receive in the end.
If the mana isn¡¯t used within a certain time, around a lifetime, then it simply vanishes. However if compounded with more mana then it will remain for another lifetime or two. As such those who are virgins throughout multiple years of their lives can build up a steady mana pool in their bodies. This was the situation that had happened to me.
Apparently, according to God, the mana within me had compounded beyond the threshold Earth could handle. If I were to reincarnate on Earth then my existence alone would end up causing natural disasters due to the disturbance my mana causes. To prevent the apocalypse due to my rebirth, God had decided to send me to another world, one that naturally has a lot of magic already in it.Did you know this text is from a different site? As for how long I was a virgin, God told me that I remained one in all of my lifetimes; All 1,273,456,798 lives in fact. It also wasn¡¯t just up to thirty; I was a full-fledged virgin in all of my lives. God was so impressed and moved by this that he began to cry. As a reward for this God decided to let me keep my memories when I reincarnate, stating that so long as I remain this way it will continue to be so.
I still remember being given a thumbs up from God as I began my reincarnation. Thinking back on it God also had a worrisome vibe as I was being sent off. Perhaps he was worried I may fail and end up being taken in by a woman in the other world. There¡¯s no need to fear God, I shall protect my chastity with all that I¡¯ve got. Such a gifting and benevolent god he is.
I recall the bright warm light that enveloped me and my vision whisk me away to my new home. I was so excited to begin my life in another world. Of course at the time I had no idea how wrong things were about to get for me and my new family¡well, ex-family.

Well, here it is. This story came about due to sheer boredom and too much free time. I''ve read a variety of reincarnation-type novels where the main character gets turned into something other than human, sometimes even an object too (Have a story like this too, with a serious and non-serious version).
A fair warning though, the chapters I write tend to be fairly small and range around 1,500 words each. This chapter acts more as a prologue to the story, hence its shortness. So assuming I don''t get burned out on this story (I tend to burn out on projects frequently) and my procrastination doesn''t kick in (I''m lazy) then I hope to continue and see where this story will go.
Also, I tend to write fairly quick (and re-write paragraphs a lot) so grammatical errors may appear.
Chapter 001: Explosive Rebirth
A bit of time had elapsed since I met with God. At the moment the time of my rebirth is only seconds away. Thankfully I didn¡¯t have to wait long for my new body to be born; I could only imagine the torture my mind would¡¯ve gone through if I had to wait. I felt as my body was gently grabbed and pulled out of my mother¡¯s womb. Although it was hard to tell due to my sight not being properly developed yet, a sense of light was projected through my eyelids.
I should say that although this body is my own, sometime instinct still kicks in and overpowers my better judgement. Due to the disturbance of my sleep and the sudden sheer coldness I ended up crying. Well, to be honest, that¡¯s how I would also normally act so it¡¯s difficult to say that this particular instance was that of involuntary instinct. What, isn¡¯t an elderly man allowed to sleep as long as he desires? Although right now I suppose I¡¯m a child, but the point still stands.
After the basic procedure of a baby being born was over and done with I was wrapped in a warm and cozy blanket. Enough so that it soothed me back into calmness. I should also mention that although I hear people around me, I can¡¯t understand what they¡¯re saying. I guess language comprehension wasn¡¯t part of the packaged deal.
Now that I was in a less cramped space I attempted to my body a bit, mainly so that I could at least get a feel for it. This was easier said than done. Control over this body was at bare minimum, it wouldn¡¯t react the way I wanted it to. Well I was in the body of a newborn so I guess that was to be expected. Talking also proved fruitless as the most that came out was an incomprehensible gurgle.
The voice that was closest to me sounded rather high-pitched, at least compared to those around me. Given that I deduced that I was currently in my mother¡¯s arms, most likely being cradled like some precious treasure. I just wish I could understand what they were saying. Though my senses were still being developed and rather dull, I did manage to feel a slight peck on my forehead. The culprit, more than likely, was that of my new mother.
I began to think of a plan of action to take during my childhood years. First off, fuck that analogy of keeping my reincarnation a secret. I want to learn all about this world, and the sooner the better. Maybe I will keep my identity of me being an old man a secret, if only not to creep out my new parents enough to try to get rid of me, but instead I¡¯ll simply play the role of a child genius or something. After all, it¡¯s not as though I¡¯m carrying some important mission right now that requires me to keep everything a secret.
Now that I think about it I wonder how much mana I have. Though I had been just a soul for a little bit of time, I did feel something different in me. If I had to take a guess then it would be the mana I had ascertained throughout my lifetimes. Wanting to get a feel for it so I could begin practice controlling it, I mentally reached out towards it. It took a bit of time to learn how to do so, but I eventually managed to get a sense for it. With a slight mental touch the mana in my soul responded to me. The mana, undulating with power, felt as grand and expansive as an ocean.
As thoughts of what to do to the mana raced in my head, a slight discomfort steals my focus. My stomach felt as though it was in knots, honestly it was quite uncomfortable. After some time the pain went from something like a small sting to having my organs grinded in a meat grinder. From there my bones and muscles began to strain as they screamed out in pain. A headache, felling as though my brain was going to implode, overtook me.
It was as if my entire being was going through a literal hell right now. Those in the room also seemed to be in a panic as I could hear their frantic voices while my mother cradled me in her arms. Sounds of snapping and popping could be heard internally. I didn¡¯t know what was happening to me, but I was certain of at least one thing. Things were bad.The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
As the pain continued to escalate to the point where death seemed like relief to me, another sensation could be sensed. My soul felt as though it was expanding, so much so that my body began to feel like an overinflated balloon about to burst. I noticed the mana within me churning like a raging storm. It was at that point that I realized what was happening.
With that realization came two final sounds. A loud bang and that of gasping was what followed suit. I could only remain floating there as a soul, now able to see and sense all of what was around me. Blood-stained crimson red. That was the only color I could see plastered all around room. Even those in the room were no exception to this. My mother, well ex-mother, remained wide-eyed with her mouth agape as she stared at her trembling, empty, bloody hands.
For quite a while nothing but silence came from the room. I could only sigh in pity at what had occurred. Due to my overwhelming mana, the child body I had couldn¡¯t sustain its power and ended up exploding because of it. Thinking on it now those of this world should have the ability to wield mana in their bodies. If this happened here, then what would have happened to me if I were to have reincarnated on Earth? Would the explosion be worse?
Not wanting to hear those in the room grieve and freak out I immediately moved away. Thanks to being a soul I was able to phase through the walls and exit the building I was in. If there was one good thing about my life it was the fact that my loner attitude allowed me to ignore the problems of others relatively easy. While it may sound heartless, it allowed me to avoid unnecessary trouble.
After I had left I roamed around the area for a bit, trying to get used to moving as a soul. Eventually I had felt a bit tired which led to me learning that simply remaining a wandering soul actually took a toll on my mana. While I did have a lot I didn¡¯t want to find out what would happen if it were to run out.
Trying to figure out a way to preserve myself I began trying to draw in the mana in the atmosphere towards me. While it was difficult at first I was luckily able to figure out how mana felt due to it leaving my soul to stabilize it. From there it was a matter of sensing the area around me to feel for the mana and drawing it towards me. I wasn¡¯t entirely sure if it was because I was simply a soul or if it was some type of inlaid talent, but the task became relatively easy for me after a while.
Unfortunately for me there were plenty of things in this world that I had no clue on how they functioned. As a result I ended up with quite the predicament. Due to absorbing the mana around me, coupled with my already mass reserves and consciousness, I ended up creating a body of my own.
While this may sound good and amazing there was a problem with how it was done. You see there are special creatures in this world that are born through a variety of means. One of these creatures happens to be born when a massive amount of mana concentrates on a single point, and a consciousness is born due to it. The end result is what I ended up becoming.
Looking down at myself right now I can see my form. Five fingers each hand, two hands, two arms, a torso, two legs, and two feet. Of course I also had a head, but that I couldn¡¯t currently see. All in all I appeared just as a human does. Well, a human silhouette at least. As far as color was concerned I was azure blue. Yup, my entire body, from head to toe, was an azure blue color. Silver decor lines also covered me, giving a unique look. As far as eyes went they were a completely white abyss.
My hair also has two ridiculously long strands that act as an antenna of sorts; they began from the area of my bangs and rise slightly over my hairline before arching back and reaching halfway down my back.
The most inhumane things about my appearance though were the small wings that grew from my back. They were fairly light and transparent, and I was even able to withdraw them if I so choose to. In this world the creature I ended up become was something known as a Faerie, often shortened as Fae.
¡°Haaah~ I hope things don¡¯t get more troublesome for me.¡±
With a sigh I speak out my thoughts, one that will surely be a precursor of things to come.

Chapter 002: The Two Month Training
It has been around two months since I¡¯ve arrived in this world. My current location was somewhere within a gigantic forest. While it was dangerous due to the many creatures that see me as nothing more than a snack, there were plenty of places to hide as well. If there was one thing to be thankful about this body for was its small size. If I had to take a guess I was no bigger than a human¡¯s hand, as a result I could squeeze into most small places with ease.
While sitting atop a tree, hiding within the many leaves, I began to think of what to do next. Currently my form wasn¡¯t one suited for fighting and I was still learning how to fly properly. My only means of attack was the large quantity of mana I had. Actual magic however was not something the current me can do. Basically while I had the fuel, mana, for it I lacked the ignition needed to properly cast magic.
The most the current me could do was use my mana to construct a variety of things, but even that wasn¡¯t going well. Mana is fairly thin and nonphysical, so in order to make a construct capable of attacking or defending there needs to be massive amounts of it concentrated. The problem is that controlling massive amounts of mana is not something a beginner like me could do properly.
My constructs were flimsy and weak, breaking at the slightest impact. Luckily for me Faeries could survive on nothing but mana, otherwise I would¡¯ve probably starved to death by now. Speaking of Faeries, I had actually met a few scattered about in the forest. This was how I managed to learn what species I was. I would¡¯ve followed them, but they were heading into a very dangerous section of the forest. I wasn¡¯t confident that I could survive if I went, as well as whether or not they would aid me if I were to get into trouble. In the end I decided to remain in my small section of the woods.
¡°Haaah~ guess I¡¯ll train some more.¡±
Sighing once more, something that seems to be becoming a habit for me, I began on mana manipulation training. The process of this was simple. I take some of my mana, draw it out of my body, and practice shaping it into various forms. At times I would even draw out as much as I could and continuously shape it. As a result of this basis training, I was becoming stronger little by little.
After mana manipulation training I begin my mana construct training. Just as before I draw out mana and shape it into a form. This time however I focus on the construct, rather than constant changing, and try to keep the concentrated mana in place for as long as possible. At present my strongest constructs were a thin rectangular shield and a small toothpick-like sword. The shield was strong enough to survive a hit or two from some weak enemies, and the sword was sharp and durable enough to cause shallow cuts on enemies without scales, armor, or hard skin.
As you can see this was definitely not enough to survive. Right now I couldn¡¯t even defeat the weakest monster here with what I had. The main problem was mana leakage. Whenever I create a mana construct there is always a lot of mana that leaks out from it. As a result I need to constantly resupply my constructs to maintain its power, all the while trying to keep it from exploding due to the sheer concentration of mana that constitutes it. If I could at least fly properly then I might have taken the risk and gone with those other Faeries.
¡°Nothing will come out of complaining, just focus.¡±
Trying to regain my thoughts I spoke out to myself. After a few hours of painstaking mana training, I began my flight training. While mana was still in use during flight, it was less mental strain due to this being an inborn ability of my race. Of course I couldn¡¯t be reckless, proper mana control was still required for flying. Right now the best I could ever accomplish was gently gliding through the air.
Well I say gently gliding, but if was more of a rocketing plunge accompanied by womanly screams ¨C Ahem~ manly roaring more than anything. Last thing I needed was to head-butt the ground and die from the impact. There just had to be an easier way of moving about.
As I sat there thinking on the subject of improvement a gust of wind blew across in gentle grace. Looking up I watched as the wind severed a loose leaf as it lightly danced in the air like a figure skater, silently mocking me.
Perhaps it was all the training I was doing or simple unexplained anger, but I lunged at the dancing leaf in an attempt to silence its fluttering dance. Like a mission locked onto its target, I launched off the tree branch I was on and slammed directly into my foe.If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
¡°Damn, things sturdier than I thought!¡±
Due to my new body I was much lighter than I originally anticipated. As a result my Superman Dive-Bomb technique failed me when I struck the leaf. Rather than plowing straight through it, I merely entered its embrace. Like any worthy warrior, the leaf itself began to fight back; although maybe it was just the wind that was making it thrash around as such.
Feeling as though I were in a cyclone I grasped the edged of the leaf to the best of my ability. Spinning, spinning, spinning, and more spinning was all I experienced in that moment. Thankfully it seemed as though Faeries had no stomachs, otherwise some of my insides might have ended up on the outside. Since I¡¯m sustained on mana, would that be what I puke out?
Like a graceful butterfly I spun through the air in such a majestic manner that it made all beauty pale in comparison. Using my wings I attempted to stabilize myself atop the drifting leaf. After a few moments of struggle I managed to succeed in my task. Now if only the forest could stop multiplying I think I¡¯ll be good.
With my somewhat miniscule weight I prevented the leaf from entering a second dance with me. Balancing myself, I slowly stood up on the drifting leaf and looked around. There was nothing but trees, shrubbery, and wildlife. Basically I was nowhere different in terms of place. My physical location however was different.
Although trees are hard to tell apart I¡¯m fairly sure that one has one more leaf than usual. In all seriousness the only reason I could tell I was elsewhere was due to the strange feeling of dread coming over me¡well that and I did just do the tango with this leaf not too long ago, undoubtedly wandering further and further from where I was originally at.
As I tried to figure out where I ended up distracted as another gust of wind, one much stronger than before, lifted the leaf. From zero to a hundred in a second, I sped through the forest on the wind-propelled leaf. Balancing myself out and using my wings as a pair of makeshift airplane fins to control my direction, I made an emergency crash landing.
Luckily the descent wasn¡¯t too bad and I managed to make it back on solid ground without much injury. Thinking back on it now, wasn¡¯t I basically surfing in the wind atop a leaf? Did I just invent a new sport? Leafboarding? Wind surfing?
Whatever the name for it will be I was just happy to be off it. After getting up and taking a good look at my surroundings, a tinge of fear entered me. The trees around were more numerous than before, enough so that visibility beyond twenty feet was near impossible. In addition to that the leaves blocked out most of the sunlight overhead with only a few sunbeams peering through.
With a gulp of nonexistent saliva I quickly make my way to a safer area. Streaking as quickly and cautiously as I could I began to make my way back to what I presumed was the outer area of the forest. I thought about rocket-propelling myself via flight, but quickly dismissed the idea. There were too many trees bunched up together. If I did go through with it I would undoubtedly strike one after liftoff.
Suddenly I thought back to the leaf. If it was able to survive a direct tackle from me at maximum speed then it might be able to withstand the wind pressure from my flight by acting as a parachute to slow my speed. If that was the case then rocket-propelling myself out of here wasn¡¯t completely impossible.
Grabbing a new leaf in both hands behind me I bend slightly to prepare for takeoff. Circulating mana through my wings they begin to hum slightly. With a quick jump and a single flap from my wings I end up propelling myself forward at breakneck speed.
As planned, the pressure from the wind caught onto the leaf that I desperately held onto and lowered my speed. Twisting and turning I managed to dodge the trees in front of me one by one. All seemed to be going well for me until the leaf, strained by the continuous wind pressure, tore in half midway of my flight.
Without the resistance the leaf provided I ended up accelerating in an instant. That sudden spurt caused me to loose balance with my wings as I spiraled out of control. Tumbling downwards I crashed into something hard before recoiling back and landing on the ground.
¡°Ugh, that hurt¡¡±
Muttering out a complaint I slowly stood up, wobbling occasionally due to the impact. A few moments later I managed to regain my bearings, thanking the heavens that I didn¡¯t die from the sudden collision with my head. Before I could wonder what it was I crashed into a large shadow was suddenly cast down at me. Though incorporeal it felt as though it bore weight when cast over me.
Feeling a sense of dread I robotically turned my head to see what was casting the shadow. There I saw it. It had large round red eyes that peered through my soul, a single horn protruding from its head sharp enough to pierce through me, and its glistening and soft looking white fur that would make a cozy bed for me. All of these dangerous things were molded into a single form.
The creature in front of me was no doubt some type of rabbit-like creature.
¡°It¡¯s you!¡±
I yelled out, my voice one of anger and irritation. Yes, a rabbit. Those fiendish bastards had been at war with me even during my time on Earth, constantly stealing the carrots I planted in my garden outdoors. Now they¡¯ve finally come, seeking to end things once and for all.
¡°Well, fine by me. Bring it!¡±
Yelling out that declaration I begin the charge at the vile beast that had tormented me for far too long. In return the beast also charged. Right here, right now, the battle with the beast begins.
Chapter End
Chapter 003: The Ferocious Battle Begins! Faerie vs. Rabbit
¡°DIE!¡±
I roared out, swinging my clenched fist towards the charging vermin. The release of my anger caused the strength I produced to multiply to new heights. To the point where that punch of mine hurled the beast backwards, its head bleeding¡at least that¡¯s how I¡¯ll describe it if asked.
In truth my punched bounced off the creature¡¯s fur without as much as a scratch on it. I braced myself for the impending impact heading my way, tightly shutting my eyes and gritting my teeth. However a gust of wind rushing past me caused me to slightly open my eyes.
Like a moron I remained in that position for quite a while, trying to process what happened before turning my head back. There, in the corner of a nearby tree, was my fiendish foe. A closer inspection showed that he was eating some plants that were growing there. To ignore our world-jumping rivalry in favor of a snack was nothing short of an insult to me.
Irritably stomping towards my foe I proceeded to land continuous hits on him. Of course to no avail. While my attacks may not have been doing any damage they did seem to cause a disturbance as the rabbit stopped eating to look my way. There was a short pause as we looked the other in the eye. Then, as if trying to shoo away a pest disturbing its meal, the beast swiped its paw at me.
As my body gracefully flew in the air, tumbling about, I could¡¯ve sworn I head an announcer¡¯s voice shout out ¡°K.O.!¡± in the background. Landing as dignified as I flew, I wiped off any dirt on my body and shook off any pain I felt.
¡°Bastards not even taking this seriously¡¡±
Mumbling to myself about the current situation I decided to change tactics. Though I may not look it I did possess some means of attack and defense. Focusing my mind the mana in my body responded to my plea. Slowly small particles began to conjoin together in front of me. Bending and twisting the appearance of a toothpick-like weapon began to gain form.
After a few seconds of waiting the makeshift mana javelin was complete. Wielding it in hand I aimed at my dreaded enemy with it. Once properly aimed I threw it with as much force as I could muster. The end result was a javelin slicing through the air, locked onto my target like a guided missile. Reaching its mark the javelin impaled itself into the rabbit¡¯s keister, straight into the area where the sun don¡¯t shine.
The rabbit lurched at the sudden invasion of its privacy. I watched as the mana javelin slowly dissipated into nothing. Trembling for a bit the rabbit turned and sent its wide-eyed teary gaze towards me. Suddenly, realizing it was me who took away its wizardry rights, those teary eyes were now filled to the brim with hatred.
¡°Yes, that¡¯s it! Loathe me more! Despise me! Fear ME!¡±
For whatever reason, after saying that, I began to wonder if my loneliness had something to do with me¡nah, couldn¡¯t be.
Leaping at me with incredible speed, the rabbit struck me headfirst. Luckily I was small enough that the horn barely missed impaling me. Before the impact could send me flying to my home planet I grabbed onto the fur of the beast.
Bucking like a raging bronco the rabbit attempted to remove me from its face. Occasionally it would smash straight into trees or shrubbery. Climbing a bit I came face-to-eye with the beast. With a grizzly smile I held out my left hand. Mana quickly condensed into yet another javelin.
With no way to escape my attack I jabbed the javelin straight into the eye in front of me. With movements even more fierce than before the rabbit jerked from the impact causing me to lose my grip. Quickly recovering I sent my gaze straight to the rabbit, its eye now bleeding slightly from the stab wound.
With more rage than ever the rabbit dashed through the air straight at me. Realizing that dodged would take too long I hurriedly created a small mana shield in front of me. Though the shield didn¡¯t last for the duration of the attack, the overall speed of the impact was lessened.
Unfortunately this time I was unable to escape unscathed. Rather this is actually quite problematic for me right now. Slowly standing up I look down at my body. A good chunk of my torso and my left arm was completely blown away. The culprit was that horn.
¡°Shit!¡±
It took a bit but my brain finally processed the pain from having a part of me forcefully severed. Perhaps due to my body¡¯s unique constitution there was no blood from that act. Still, that shit hurts like hell!Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings.
Before I realized it that damned rabbit made its way to me as it sent me flying with a swipe from its paw. Damn, not once but twice I¡¯ve been bitch slapped by that vermin. Bringing out my wings I attempted to stabilize myself, but the loss of my body parts made balancing impossible.
Crashing into a nearby tree I groaned from the impact. I had hit it with such force that leaves from it had actually been shaken loose. While trying to regain my bearings a shadow suddenly appeared overhead. Looking up I saw the rabbit perform an intimidation of my Superman Dive-Bomb technique.
Grabbing a nearby fallen leaf I quickly launched myself away as fast as I could. Since it was only a single leap the leaf I used as wind resistance didn¡¯t snap in half. I had made it just in time as the rabbit crashed down where I had previously been.
Still, this was troublesome. I was severely injured and my foe didn¡¯t seem like they were any closer to dying. I needed to find a way to cause some real damage and fast. Its fur was too much for my mana constructs to take down. The only real weak points were its fleshy bits such as its eyes or even its violated ass.
Making my choice I constructed another mana javelin and leapt straight to the rabbit. This time I wasn¡¯t using the leaf for resistance making my speed something to behold. Flying like a straight arrow I aimed the javelin in front of me to act as the arrowhead.
Perhaps sensing my intentions the rabbit charged at me with maximum speed as well, aiming its horn directly at me. Just as when I was leaf surfing I used my wings to tilt myself out of the horn¡¯s range. With that twist I began spinning around like a top. While I had thought of stopping this to avoid dizziness I decided to continue it in order to increase my javelin¡¯s piercing power.
However the rabbit had managed to move its head, making my attack miss its eye and land on its hard skull instead. Like fragile glass my mana javelin broke into pieces. Without missing a beat the rabbit quickly turned its body and once again launched towards me.
This time I was too close for a horn attack so the beast did the next best thing it could think of. It opened its gaping mouth to swallow me whole. At a distance unavoidable I curled up into a ball, making myself as small as possible. The reason I did this was so that its teeth wouldn¡¯t chomp me in two. In an instant, the next thing I knew, I was in the beast¡¯s stomach.
I must say that being stuck in a cramped space while being digested wasn¡¯t a good feeling to experience. I felt as my body was being decomposed and being absorbed into my foe. Since my body wasn¡¯t made of flesh it was obvious that my mana was what was being digested. I could feel it as my essence was empowered my foe to new heights.
¡°Damn, what am I a power up?¡±
I tried desperately to keep the mana within me contained. Slowly I looked towards my wounds reminiscing the feeling of my missing torso and arm as my mana churned. A strange feeling came over me when I did so and with a wide-eyed expression I understood what was happening.
The missing pieces of me were slowly regenerating as my internal mana bulked and concentrated in that area. I watched in amazement as my own body began to regenerate the missing limbs I lost. Within a few moments it was as if I never lost anything to begin with.
With my body back I turned my focus to the situation at hand. While I had been distraught at becoming food for my hated rival I finally realized something. Now that I was swallowed there was nothing but weak flesh all around me. In other words I was in the best area for my attacks to cause significant damage.
¡°Heh...ha...hahaHaHaHAHAHAHA!¡±
Laughing manically at that revelation I quickly constructed two mana javelins, holding each in one hand. Slicing through anything I could, I made numerous wounds to the rabbit¡¯s innards. I could feel as irrational movement came from outside. Still it wasn¡¯t enough. Though I could stab I couldn¡¯t really slice through anything.
I could feel as my mana was continuously absorbed into the rabbit, enhancing its durability apparently. If this takes too long then even this advantage will become obsolete. Without much time remaining before my javelins wouldn¡¯t be able to pierce the creature¡¯s flesh anymore I made a rash decision.
Releasing the mana javelin constructs I began to concentrate once more. A small orb of bundled mana formed in front of me. Continuously, more and more, mana condensed into the small sphere.
¡°No¡ugh, not yet!¡±
Focusing to my absolute limit I tried keeping the mana sphere stabilized as I concentrated more mana into its small form. The color of the sphere slowly turned from a pale blue to a dark blue color, a sign of the amount condensed mana contained within it. Still I added more and more to it.
The idea was to create an unstoppable and exceptionally powerful mana bomb. Though it seemed ridiculous I had just learned than any missing body parts could be reconstituted. I just prayed there wasn¡¯t some kind of limit to that ability.
The dark blue orb began to violently shake in place. Unsure of how much to condense I tried keeping the outer edge of the sphere from releasing any mana. As my focus went more towards that I found the sphere shaking less and less for some reason. Unsure of this unusual phenomenon I curiously thought about it. Why was the sphere stabilized now when it was moments from bursting before?
As the gears in my head began to turn the answer came to me.
¡°Of course, it was so obvio-¡±
My concentration had slipped at the moment of realization. Before I could finish voicing out my thoughts a bright light enveloped me as the sound of glass shattering had sounded. A sudden force caused my mind to blank out, making me unconscious. Though before that, I managed to hear the sounds of something bursting like a balloon. With a mental smirk at my victory I fell into unconsciousness.
Chapter End
Chapter 004: One Good Explosion Deserves Another
As I regained consciousness I noticed something. The sky overhead was visible, its once obscurity by the many trees that hide it now gone. With shaky strength and resolve I managed to slowly stand up from where I was. The pulsating headache I was feeling only added to my discomfort.
¡°Ugh, what happened?¡±
Managing to speak out my question in a dazed voice my memories of the events prior flooded my mind. To prevent my digestion I had packed as much mana as I could into a tiny sphere. During this event I had managed to solve something about the problems I had been having with mana constructs. Right as I had that revelation the mana within the compact sphere exploded, no doubt sending me and that vermin rabbit to oblivion.
Slowly checking over my body I discovered that I was still in one piece¡mostly. My right arm seemed to be missing from the elbow forward, but I was as it was slowly regenerating even without me consciously trying to do so. I had most likely been subconsciously regenerating my body as I was unconscious.
Regaining my thoughts I had realized something important. The sky overhead was in clear view with no obstructions in the way. Looking around I quickly realized why that was.
¡°What the fuck.¡±
Saying that in the stoic way that I did just showed how short circuited my brain was after seeing the damage to the area around me. Opposite to my regenerating limbs, the forest seemed like it went through hell. Sitting in a crater that was over ten feet deep and fifty feet wide was me. Trees were blown and toppled all around the site of the incident. Did my Mana Bomb really cause this much damage?
Compared to the weak constructs I had made and their effectiveness this was on a completely different level, in a league all its own. If I continued using this power and others saw it then they might stick weird names to me like Mr. ¡®Splodey or even Sparky Sparky Boom Man.
I decided to put the Mana Bomb under the ¡°Emergency Use Only¡± options that I had developed. Not so much for the weird names --though that is a reason-- but rather the fact that I think I also completely exploded along with it. While my physical self had died rather quickly I wasn¡¯t the type that liked exploding for no reason.
¡°That¡¯s right!¡±
Recalling the incident of the mana bomb revelation I had in the pits of that foul creature¡¯s stomach I quickly shifted mental gears. The problem plaguing my mana constructs were mana leakage and proper control. Both of these problems could be solved with the solution I had perceived.Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
The shell. The outwards area of a construct, their shell, was the key to solving this problem. Originally I contained and manipulated ever particle of mana in a construct, but that proved difficult to pull off. However if I only focus on the shell of a construct then not only can I ignore the mana inside that shell, but I can focus more on closing any holes in it. It¡¯s like the difference between holding water in your hands to drink from or using a glass to hold it in; from your hands it will slip through the cracks but the glass would hold it indefinitely.
With such a revelation I quickly constructed a Mana Javelin, this time focusing on the outer shell of it rather than its entirety. The results were far better than I could imagine. While my constructs were a fair blue color with some transparency that made it seem incorporeal, the current one in my hand seemed to be a darker color and seemed more physical.
With excitement I quickly began to pour and condense more mana into the javelin. More and more it filled as I waited to see the current max I could stuff into my constructs was. Bit by bit the shell became more and more condensed and hardened as I focused my mind on it to contain the mana torrent in it. With a little too much mana now inside cracks began to appear on the constructs. The sound of glass breaking began to enter my ears. With a quick toss I launched the unstable javelin upwards in the air. It flew higher and higher until¡
BOOOOOM!!!
Like roaring thunder the javelin exploded in the air as compact mana shout out like scattershot bullets. Dust raised as the forest was yet again put through such a frightening experience. Using this theory on my Mana Shield I managed to deflect most of the damage heading towards me. Looking at the cracks in my Mana Shield from the assault I could only imagine the implications of such an attack. A Scattershot Javelin was definitely an unexpected outcome of this experiment.
Luckily the Mana Bomb I created didn¡¯t have an actual shell otherwise the stored energy would have been more devastating than its initial energy wave release form. Working on the Mana Javelin construct again I toned down the mana within it to keep it more stabilized. Wanting to test it out again I quickly ran to the nearest tree I could and thrusted the javelin into it to find it pierced through fine. Yanking it out I waved it around in admiration of my work before accidentally striking it too hard against the tree again, breaking it in half during my time of mental distraction.
BOOM!
Out came yet another explosion from the construct. If I didn¡¯t pay too much attention to it then the shell would become too flimsy to contain the mana or even too brittle to attack. Realizing I needed to gain more control over the new Mana Shell Theory I quickly began to get to work mastering it.
As I remained there waiting for my body to regenerate from its injuries a stray thought had occurred to me during insight. Why does my new life seem to consist of explosions?
