《Soul Spirits - The Rebirth of Soul King》 Volume 01 - Chapter 01. Prologue Ten thousand years ago, there was a dragon who renowned as the most evil dragon in the Arcenza continent. It lived in the Brigen Mountain which is considered as one of the forbidden hunting ground within the Arcenza continent. It stayed in the deepest region of Brigen Mountain, inside the Nirflaga Cave, near the Earth Core Flame source. The rumor says that it has an immunity to fire and bathe within the Earth Core Flame. The color of its scales is pitch-black while his eyes are shining gold. With his really huge body, his eyes looks like a moon in the night sky which makes it called the Nightflame Dragon. His scales are so much harder than other known dragon and his flames can easily burn the demon king. That is also the reason why each generation of demon kings never invade the Brigen Mountain. They didn¡¯t even dare to approach our Coundore Villages which located near the Brigen Mountain. However all things changed when the mightiest hero in the history of Arcenza continent rose. He is the second son of the ancient noble human clan which has a great influence spread throughout the continent. His name is Xava Enviwrath and recognized as hero when he successfully got the holy sword [Lavent]. Using his holy sword he successfully slain the Nightflame Dragon and obtained the Earth Core Flame. With the flame, his holy sword and his powerful companions which consist of Arch Mage, Arch Priest, Beast King, Ancient Elf, and Holy Knight, they managed to kill the demon king and the root of its power [Demonic Blood Heart]. They also successfully eliminated almost ninety percent the demon army. After that, the demon king successor which was still a small child decided to flee, because it was really hard for the demon race to counter attack. Since then, the residents of the Arcenza continent never see the people from the demon race again until now. ¡°Well, how is that? Another interesting story isn¡¯t it? This old man has travelled around the world and listened to many stories?¡± The old man said to the three children in front of him. He was sitting on a really old chair while holding his cane. The children was immersed in listening to the story which has become a habit since a few weeks ago. ¡°Yes. But grandpa, It will be more interesting if it is a romantic story.¡± ¡°I¡­I¡­agree with Vi.¡± The old man only laughing ¡°hohoho¡± and stroking his white beard while hearing the response of the two girl in front of him. One of the girl showing an act likes an adult even though you can only see her as a child while the other one showing a timid girl character. ¡°No, no, no. The Adventure story is better. The old man quickly tried to divide the two using his cane and made them stop their argument. ¡°Please stop it Azhur, Vinna. Teasha will really cry if you continue. Azhur, if you want to learn magic you do not need a soul element. It is an important power for magician however it isn¡¯t necessary especially if you cannot control it. Azhur only bow his head down a little. It seems that he couldn¡¯t accept that reasoning since all the famous magicians have a strong soul element. ¡°If you all want to learn magic, I will gladly give you a lesson about it.¡± Hearing that, the children became excited. They forgot the earlier arguments and started pestering the old man about when he will teach them. The old man decided to teach them starting tomorrow and told them just quickly go home for now. ¡°Well then grandpa, we will go home for now and comeback here early in the morning.¡± Vinna decided it herself and said that they will study magic as quick as possible. The other children agreed and didn¡¯t say anything while the old man can only say ¡°hohoho¡±. As he promised, he taught them magic the next day and continued teaching the children until 6 years passed. After that, he suddenly disappeared from them. The old man left only left them the necklaces, books of magic fundamentals, a lot of other books with other contents like fighting with weapon and non-weapon arts, short and long range magic arts, and also a letter. When Vinna finished reading the letter, Azhur countenance became gloomy. The first thing he wanted to do is burn the magazines before both of his childhood friends see the contents. However Vinna somehow already knew where is the secret place of the old man and quickly got hold one of the magazines. Azhur saw the cover image of the magazine that was hold by Vinna and realized it would be bad news if he didn¡¯t run from there. After 6 years of training, Vinna movement speed and reaction increased crazily. It is because her talents is all about agility, in fact she can avoid the cooperation attacks by Azhur and Teasha in close combat. So in the moment Azhur reach the door, Vinna already in front of him closing his escape route. Azhur could only scream to the ¡°no-where-to-be-found¡± old man while gave up on escaping. ¡°YOU DAWN PERVERT OLD MAN!!!¡± The moment Azhur screamed, he felt something hurt on his face however he quickly lost consciousness. From the cover of magazine it can be seen a few girls with the same age as Vinna and Teasha wear an sexy clothes. If you see closely, you can find some of the girls who resemble Vinna and Teasha a little. They are not the same if you compare it accurately, but the fact that Azhur and the old man read this kind of magazines makes Vinna really angry. In the end, Azhur only woke up the next day while still feeling hurt on his right cheek. Volume 01 - Chapter 02. The Future Choice My name is Azhur Diascald. I am 14 years old and live in west side of the Coundore Village. My hair is dark brown while my eyes are silver. Currently, my height is only 158 cm which is lower then Vinna but I am sure I will exceed her in a few years. I have two childhood friends, one of them is Vinna. Her fullname is Vinna Rosfang. Her hair is crimson with shining golden eyes. She was a beautifull girl with a wild and noble aura. Her family seems to be the branch of the legendary Rosfang noble family which in the past contributed for Holy Spirit Kingdom in the Demon War of the Seven Kingdom. My second childhood friend is Teasha, Teasha Sevenlight. She has blonde hair with sky blue eyes. She was a shy girl which somehow exudes a gentle heart warming aura. Her family is a fallen noble. She told me that her ancestor is one of the founder of the Holy Spirit Kingdom. When Vinna asked about the reason that her family moved to a small village like here, she said that her parent also didn¡¯t know, it happened a few thousand years ago. I am currently training my sword arts on my backyard. My schedule is very busy since I need to exhaust my soul power at least 2 times everyday which mean I will become a useless little child each time my soul power is exhausted. Of course my soul power always restores quickly. It usually takes about 2 hours which is the fastest if I compare it with Vinna and Teasha. Based on grandpa¡¯s teaching, soul core capacity will always expands until the body stop growing. Exhausting the soul power is one of the few ways to accelerate the expansion but is rarely used method since it gives extreme pain in six sensory organs. At the beginning, we couldn¡¯t even stand, kept laying on the floor while screaming until our throats was hurt and our sounds was gone. The pain stopped about 8-9 hours when the soul power restored to the amount which enough to control the body. Grandpa helped us in relieving the pain, increasing the restoration speed and healing our throats. We came to grandpa¡¯s house only for this everydays. After 4 years of training, our body became accustomed and no more pain in our six sensory organs, we also started to try exhausting our soul power 2 times a day. At that time our soul power restoration was still slow and take until 5 hours to have sufficient restored soul power without the help from grandpa. After 6 years of training, we could do it 3 times however grandpa forbad us from doing it more than 2 times. I can¡¯t understand grandpa explanation but I concluded that it is bad for our soul core which is the part that used to save and control our soul power. That is also the reason why I started training my sword arts which is to fill the time while restoring my soul power. I do my training every morning and after lunch, I always going out to meet Vinna and Teasha. We gather on the plain which located west of the village. We battle with each other or hunting Wind Rabbits. The Coundore plain has other monsters which are stronger and more vicious however it is located near the Brigen Mountain and the Wind Rabbit that we hunt is easy prey which located near the village. ¡°Hey Azh, the lunch is ready. Don¡¯t just play around with your wooden sword.¡± ¡°Mom, I am not playing, I am training.¡± I walked into the house and sat down on the dining room. My mom already sat on the chair in front of me. My mom name is Rosenna Diascald. In our house, there is only my mom and me. My dad already passed away. According to mom, he was a brave knight who protect our kingdom, The Holy Spirit Kingdom until the last of his breath. Well, since I born I haven¡¯t seen my dad so I don¡¯t have any impression on him however I love my mom. I want to be strong not to protect the kingdom like my dad but I want to become strong to protect the people I love. ¡°Well, just quickly eat. You want to go play with Vi and Tea, right ?¡± ¡°Mom, we are not playing, We are training.¡± ¡°Ohohoho, of course you are training. Hearing that, I almost burst out my foods which contain of fried egg, chicken meat, and carrot. After making sure that they already passed the checkpoint on my throat, I responded mom to change the topic by making her eat first. ¡°Mom let just eat, the food will become cold if you just continue talking. ¡°Okay, okay.¡± After I have finished eating, I put my dish on the kitchen sink. My mom who has also finished eating a few minute after me, started washing the dishes while I started drinking milk which has become my habit. ¡°So continue from before, why don¡¯t you go out with Vi or Tea? I slowly turned my head to face behind. I saw two smiling girl, however one of them have the smiling of ogre that seem want to beat me up. They were Vinna and Teasha, the one staring daggers to me is Vinna. There was no sound when they came into my house because my mom said to them to just go in if they come. They always went to my house first since my house is near the west gate. ¡°He, Hello... Vi, I didn¡¯t mean what I said before. I am only praising your strength.¡± ¡°Excuse me Auntie, mind if I borrow your son for a while?¡± ¡°Well, well, I don¡¯t mind and no need to mind the time, Vi. Along the way to the Coundore Plain, we stop for a while at Granny Shannon¡¯s place. It is a Potion Shop and there is always a ton of basic positions for beginner adventure. We always buy a few potions like Basic Healing Potion to accelarate the body healing process and Basic Relaxing Potion to relax the fatigue which are the result of continuous use of soul power and body force. --- Coundore Village ¨C Granny Shanon¡¯s Potion Shop --- As usual, the shop doesn¡¯t have many customers since there isn¡¯t many adventurers on our village. The people who usually buy the potion are the village protectors. They need it because they always periodacally hunt the monsters near the village to reduce the growing monsters population. When we went in to the shop, we faced a little girl who still have innocent looks in her eyes. She is Elize, the grand daughter of granny Shannon who helps her grandma in attending the shop. ¡°Good Afternoon Brother Azh, Sister Vi, and Sister Tea.Do you need some potion as always?¡± ¡°Yes the same as always. By the way, Little Elize you seems have grown a little. Maybe my suggestion is working.¡± ¡°Please don¡¯t joke Brother Azh, I will never do something like that. Although I¡¯m young, I¡¯m not a fool and I¡¯m growing because I already enter the age which I will grow faster. I also drink special milk everyday so it¡¯s not because of Brother silly suggestion.¡± ¡°Is that so? I was reprimanded by granny last week when I met her by chance. She told me not to bully her grand daughter too much. I thought that you had done it.¡± After that replied, Elize couldn¡¯t give more respond. Her face was facing down and although we could¡¯t see her face but we knew that she has done what I suggested from shades of redness on her ears. I wanted to tease her more however suddenly a chop was brought down to my head. My instinct felt the dangerous moment, however my reaction was slow and the result was falling into the floor turning my body left and right while holding my painful head and saying repeatly ¡®it hurts¡¯. ¡°Sorry Elize, it seems that our Azh has been bothering you.¡± Elize who became panicked after seeing my condition immediately gave the potions that seems to be already prepared before we came. ¡°It¡¯s okay Sister Vi, this is the potions you needed and please goes easy on Brother Azh. He only played little trick on me.¡± ¡°You are too soft Elize. If you left him like that it will become worse. If you are fine with it, I don¡¯t have any right to meddle but if you cann¡¯t handle it anymore just call me.¡± Elize¡¯s respond was only nodding and so we went out from the shop to continue our training schedule after paid the cost of the potions and said goodbye to Elize. --- Coundore Plain ¨C West Region Outer Side --- ¡°Take this, Vi!!! She was a young married lady who being left by her husband 2 years ago for a different woman even though they were only married for few months. When the first time I heard about the news, I though that her husband went with different woman to adventure like adventure party since I didn¡¯t really know about man and woman relationships. However after hearing the bad gossips from the people in my neighbourhood which is close to my house, I started to research about it and asked grandpa about man and woman relationships which became the starting point where I know about the things between man and woman. It also the starting point where grandpa took me to the dark side with his adult magazines. After knowing the truth about Valerie, I was mad that I almost went to look for her ex-husband but was stopped by Valerie. She said that she doesn¡¯t care about him anymore and wanted a peaceful life. After I saw her agonized face when saying that, I promised to her that I will protect her in the future and she just smiled to me while hugging me. Valerie is an important person for me. When I was a baby, she helped mom took care of me and played with me. I have already recognized her as my family. Even she protected me against the bullies which happened before I met Vinna and Teasha. ¡°Good afternoon Azh, Vi, and Tea. As always you are all so close. It¡¯s look like there is also new flavor the Spicy Banana Milk Ice Cream. Well, that is quite the unique flavor.¡± ¡°Ohohoho, it¡¯s our new flavor, Little Azhur. Her husband is one of the captain in Village Protector Squad, Grent Silvarein. He usually busy and back when the sun is already set. After talking a while with Aunty Sonya, I went back to the front side of the house which is designed as the shop, of course it was with my favorite chocolate ice creams. When I saw Sister Valerie, Vinna, and Teasha, it seems they already finished their debate and were having conversation about another thing. ¡°Hey Azh, where are you going, we are currently talking about our future plans so quickly come here.¡± I went to one of the chair to sit and gave the chocolate ice cream to each one of them. Went I look at their face they seems quite serious however the mood has more or less cool down. ¡°So what are you all talking about?¡± ¡°Azh, it¡¯s about the Sun Hevine Magic School. It¡¯s the nearest school from Coundore Village and also the top ranked school on the kingdom for learning magics. It looks like there will be a recruitment for new students in 6 months from now. Tea and I want to attend there, what about you?¡± ¡°Uhm, study in magic school? I really don¡¯t know. I want to, but I¡¯m not sure that my family can afford it.¡± ¡°Relax there is scholarship, so why don¡¯t you go with us Azh? Well it¡¯s normal, if Sister Valerie regard my mom as her mother more than Aunty Sonya, then she will be sad. Wait a moment, I can¡¯t imagine the sad face of Aunty Sonya. If it¡¯s her, maybe she just laugh it off. ¡°Well if you say so, Sis. But I will talk to Mom first.¡± After talking for a while about Sun Hevine Magic School. We decided to leave and went to look for new weapon sale on the Weapon Shop. However, nothing seems good enough compared with the price and I decided to buy Vinna and Teasha a bracelet which have function to increase the soul reacovery about 2% of normal rate. The price of bracelet not to high and it¡¯s useful for beginner adventurer. I parted with Vinna and Teasha since it¡¯s already late and went home. After the dinner, I have conversation with Mom about the Sun Hevine Magic School. As expected, my Mom pushed me to take the entrace examination and told me not to worry about the tuition. She said ¡®It¡¯s fine, follow your dream and become strong to protect this lovely mother¡¯ while giving a proud pose with her right hand on her chest. After the explanation the people in the hall was divided in 20 groups which about 50 persons in each group. Vinna, Teasha, and I is in 5th group and unexpectedly Virend and Florin was also in this group as well as the arrogant noble boy, Weinger and his two lackeys. Each group went to each own allocated place to undertake the examination. For the first examination, it¡¯s take only 5 minutes for each person. It almost everyone on the 5th group pased the examination only two boys which somehow have a problem in his soul core and one of them is Weinger¡¯s lackey. After a few seconds, the dog became particles and flew toward the boy¡¯s body. This was the phenomena of the succesuful awakening and the boy who succeeded in this is Virend Golvein. The quiet examination room suddenly burst with noise and they were talking about the phenomena that was caused by Virend. From the comments I overheard around, it seems that the usual phenomena in awakening process is showing color of the soul elements. This soul elements consist of fire which is showing red color, wind which is showing green color, earth which is showing brown color, water which is showing blue color, light which is showing yellow color, and dark which is showing black color. It is rare that at the awakening process, something which called spirit appears above the orb. This phenomena happens only on very talented people and it seems that Virend is one of them. ¡°Well, well. It is good that you are quite the talent. You have dual element and also a silver ranked spirit, you might be one of the top genius this year.¡± The examiner seems satisfied and give a praise to Virend. Virend only gave a smile and walked to the group that have finished the examination. His sister, Florin was the next one and people expected something from her too. After she put her hand nothing happened so the people were disappointed. However I could see the shocked expression on the examiner face for a moment. Afterwards, there were 6 people that also succeed to awaken the soul element even though no one of them had something appear above the orb. There are also 22 people that failed the examination because their soul power were not reaching the minimum requirement to be accepted. Suddenly a bright light of red, brown, and black shone with the amount of red color almost half of the total light that was shone from the orb. From that light, appeared a figure of red haired woman wearing a battle armour and hold 1 handed sword on both hands. You could also seen a pair of wings and horns on the woman and if we took a look closely, somepart of her body like hands and legs, we could see that the skins were covered by maroon scales that have similiarity with dragon scales. She exhibits an aura of beautiful adult female that captivated many people in the examination room. After her figure disappeared, the room became more noisy than the time at the phenomena of Virend¡¯s awakening process. Suddenly three figure showed up in front of Vinna, they tried to overthrown each other to talk to Vinna. ¡°Do you want to be my disciple?¡± ¡°Are you interested to be my disciple?¡± ¡°I¡¯m the best for your teacher position.¡± ¡°¡±¡±Hey don¡¯t butt in!!!¡± The three people which are seems to be the teacher of Sun Hevine Magic School. They seems to fight over Vinna since she shown a spirit and she might be a strong spirit. The examinee became panick when seeing the spectacle of the three people however it seems that his status is below them so he didn¡¯t dare to interrupt them. ¡°I came first and I¡¯m a woman so you must give me the first chance, isn¡¯t that right Sir Deyfon and Sir Reinhart?¡± ¡°That is nonsense. It¡¯s up to the girl to choose what she want. The spirit is a blonde haired woman that exuding a gorgeous sexy woman aura wearing beautiful white gown and holding a harp. On her back, she also has a pair of white wings. She is similiar with being that we called angel. This time all the men on the examination room almost drooled imagining something about her after seeing her figure. I was also stunned for a moment because of the spirit beauty. When I saw Vinna and Teasha, they were pouting after seeing me dazzled by the angel like spirit. I could only look the other way as to act that I didn¡¯t understand their behavior. Disciple Recruitment Phase I put my hand above the orb and it started to shine with white color. The light became bright instantly and it covered all the room. I reflexly closed both my eyes for a moment. When I opened up, the light dimmed up and nothing appeared like what happened on Vinna and Teasha awakening process. The examiner became confused about what happened and tried to put his hand above the orb, however nothing happened. He became more confused and went out from the room, he might be trying to ask someone else about this. While waiting for him, the crowd started to make noise about my awakening phenomena and I started to realize that the color of the light is weird, since there is no white color on the six element. I gazed at the three people that were arguing since before my awakening process and they were also seems to be thinking about my awakening phenomena. I took a look at Vinna and Teasha, they were looking worried about me. Before long, the examiner came back with some old man. Once they saw the old man, the three people who was on thinking mode immediately moved back from the place near the orb. They immediately gave salute to the old man and the old man gave signal to tell them not to mind him. This made all the noise quite down. The old man proceed to the orb and also put his hand above it. There was nothing happened so after a few second, he lifted up his hand and discussed what happened with the examiner. The old man suddenly took the orb and replaced it with another orb. He then gave a glance to me and sighed up afterwards he left the examination room. ¡°You have succesfully awakaned you soul element so you can move on to the finished group.¡± Without explaining what happened, he suddenly told me to move on. He didn¡¯t even look me on the eyes. Because I¡¯m curious about what soul element I awakaned since I didn¡¯t know any element with white color, I asked him. ¡°Uhm Sir, wait a moment please. Can I ask what my result is?¡± The examiner only glanced at me and sighed. It seems that he didn¡¯t want to explain and waste the time. However since I asked, he started to explain. ¡°You are a very rare Blank Element. You don¡¯t have any element so you will not be able to use any high ranked magic.   1. The students need to be accepted by a teacher to gain specialized learning courses.
The school will only provide general courses. Information about the courses can be asked on the Courses Management Office. The students will get privileges according what are given from the teacher. Information of privileges can be asked from teacher that has accepted you.
  1. There are rankings for the students.
For first year students, there is only individual ranking which is ranking for the same year students. For later years students, there will be additions which are all individual ranking for all students ranking and group ranking.The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. The main assesment points for individual ranking are the pratical tests. The top 20 ranked students will get benefits according the ranks. The main assesment points for group ranking are school group competitions and completing quests that being requested by school. The top 5 ranked groups will get benefits according the ranks The additional assesment points will be informed based on the school events.
  1. Students can form or join a group after finishing the basic courses.
The group must consist of 5 students. The group can be registered on the Group Management Office. Students free to leave the group after giving a resign letter to the group management office. The students will be approved to leave the group one week after the resign letter accepted. Students who leave a group can not form or join a group for half month. Group assesment points can be used for to improve the group capabilities. The information of usage for group assesment points can be asked on Group Management Office.
  1. Battle between students or groups are free as long as there is judge which students can asked from nearby teacher.
The winner of the battle will get half assesment points for students ranking from the loser. The loser of the battle will have half assesment points for students ranking decreased. If the loser is from the battle challenger, he/she/they will be banned froms challenging for half month.
  1. Class assignment for the students will be according from the students ranking of the same year students.
For new students, the assignment will be according the examination results. The class will be reassigned each four months.
  1. The students can ask to do soul element awakening
Each student can only ask for soul element awakening once a month. The cost of awakening process will be extracted from the group assesment points.
  1. Other regulations regarding the school other than the main regulations explained can be asked from the School Regulation and Judgement Office.
After Teasha finished explaining the school regulation, I suddenly felt hungry. It might be because it was already evening and since my body has tried hard to recover my body quickly, my stomach started to make a manly sound. I quite happy about this improvement but when I think about my blank soul element I became depressed once again. That¡¯s why I change my focus to enjoy my food. After finishing our food, we got back to our room and slept. When I woke up, I found myself in the same position as the last time. This time I fulfill Vinna¡¯s request since this might be the last time until we graduate from school. The hall had a different appearance from the previous time when used as examination place. There were many stands where the teachers appealed for their benefits. They tried to recruit all talented new students as many as they can. Naturally the students who interested to one of the teachers will not necessarily be accepted by the teacher. They need to pass the test of the teacher to get the approval. We arrived quite early so Teasha didn¡¯t need to rush to the Headmaster Office. We decided to walk around the hall to see the benefits offered by the teachers but none made me interested to become their students. When we walked around the west side of the hall, we also saw some teachers who sold somethings likes magic eguipments, magic weapons, potions, and many other things. It seems that at the disciple recruitment phase the teachers have right to sell their things which usually is the things they made themselves or get from quests.The school decided this to support their expenses since the school can not supports each one of them, especially if the teacher is potion master who always need a lot of resource just to research one potion. I knew about this after I spend sometimes talking to an old potion master at the corner of the hall. Eventually I buy some basic healing potion from him since it was so much cheaper than the usual price. After walking about 20 minutes, we rested on a quite spacious chair that were provided on the resting area. From the stands that we have passed, there were no one who made me want to ask to become my teacher. This made Vinna and Teasha quiet worry about me but I said to them not to worry about me. ¡°Azh, isn¡¯t there any teachers that you are interested to? We have visited many stands and some of them quite decent I think.¡± ¡°No Vi, I just didn¡¯t feel any interest toward them, I want to find some teachers who know about soul arts.¡± ¡°Azh, soul arts are special magic and it is very rare.
