《Traveling Through the Tales》 Chapter 1: Where the f*ck am I? The Three Realms: a chaosworld born from the unison of the worldheart of the Pangu Chaosworld and Seamless Chaosworld. Although these two chaosworld were destroyed long ago because of war between both sides, they each had a branch that they stretched out to develop in the Three Realms. From the Pangu Chaosworld was the Nuwa Alliance and from the Seamless Chaosworld was the Seamless Gate. Though the two were enemies, they accommodated and the two sides resided peaceful in the Three Realms. However, the Seamless Gate waged war against the Nuwa Alliance, brewing a great storm that swept all over the realms. Both sides fought ferociously against each other and blood rained down every day like tears from the heavens. In the Endwar where both sides would go all out and clashed against each other, the king of the Seamless Gate, Lord Demonheart, appeared. He was extremely powerful and during the previous war, he was one of the three strongest entity, right besides Mother Nuwa and the Outsider. However, Mother Nuwa broke through to the Pangu-level and slain both Lord Demonheart and the Outsider. However, he returned once again, returned to fight in the Endwar. But, unexpected to all, the Great Divinity Houyi was alive and killed Demonheart with a single arrow. With Demonheart dead, has the Seamless Gate lost? No, in fact, the Nuwa Alliance and the Seamless Gate were unaware that a third party laid hidden! With a single command, with a whip of his horsetail whisk, he cause countless powerhouses to fall. He was the leader of the Four Ancestor of the River Source: Old Man Yuan! Old Man Yuan, using mysterious powers, controlled several major powerhouses and manipulated them into killing their friends and allies, damaging the Nuwa Alliance and Seamless Gate. No one would''ve expected that this Daofather, who was low-key even in among Daofathers, would be so strong and had such ambitions to create this insidious plot. Though the situation was looking bleak, the Nuwa Alliance and Seamless Gate didn''t give up. Several major powers ended up sacrificing themselves and self-destructed close to Old Man Yuan. Due to the countless explosions, Old Man Yuan''s power was depleting, but it wasn''t enough to injure him. In the end, the Divine Archer who created countless legends in the Primordial Era, Houyi, sacrificed his body and soul to create a bow and arrow. The arrow managed to struck and injure Old Man Yuan, but it wasn''t enough to kill him. Just when hope was supposedly lost, the number one Sword Immortal in the Three Realms, Darknorth, achieved a breakthrough and annihilated Old Man Yuan. After doing so, the Darknorth and the remaining Daofathers of the Three Realms seek to harmonize the Three Realm once again. The reconstructed the Cycle of Reincarnation, established a new Celestial Court, and changed the path of immortal cultivation forever in the Three Realms! Soon, Daofather Darknorth left the Three Realms and entered the vast universe outside the realms. With such talents and power, Darknorth was definitely a hero and will create countless stories in the vast universe as he did in the Three Realms. However, this story isn''t about the great lord and savior Darknorth. ..... In the Netherworld Kingdom, two people were fighting. "Damn you, Ninehounds! If you didn''t have that sword, you wouldn''t be able to resist my Hexaghost Saber!" "Shut up and stop whining already, Faceless. I went through countless dangers to obtain his Solitary-Man Sword. If you didn''t offend me before, I wouldn''t have bother you." "What offense?! You dare slept with my little granddaughter and made her poison me! Even if I must go to the Eighteen Hells, I will kill you! Argh, I just can''t believe you slept with that 2000-years old kid." In the dark skies of the Netherworld Kingdom, two black-robed were fighting with swords and sabers. They both had fluctuation of power emitted from them and were terrifying to look at. However, their bodies and even robes were translucent and an aura of death could be seen and felt from them. These two were Ghost Immortals, entity who have died and yet to receive a body, but could cultivate immortality and immortal-ki in soul-form. These types of Immortal wouldn''t generally fight unless have to since, fighting could waste the immortal-ki they cultivated as they haven''t yet received a fleshly body to store the energy. However, two were fighting right now. Immortal Faceless held onto the dark-blue saber tightly and slashed out. Saber-light flashed and Saber-intent came flooding towards Immortal Ninehounds. Ninehounds simply snorted and slashed out with his weapon as well. Sword-light and sword-intent crashed into the saber-intent, decimating it. Faceless gritted his ghostly teeth and then suddenly, white flames burst from the edge of his saber. This white flame was cold and gives the feeling of solitude and loneliness. Ninehounds'' face turned furrowed his brows before his expression completely paled. "Y-You-" "Ninehounds, to kill you, I am willing to burn my soul! Now take this!" Immortal Faceless raised his saber and the white flames launched upwards and danced in the dark sky. "Soulblaze Cult''s Secret Art: Soulblaze Slash!" The dark-blue saber descended and white flames did as well. Ninehounds was extremely terrified. He raised his sword and madly screamed, "Solitary-Man Sword, Solitary Mirror!"Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author. The sword in his hand flew out and green light flashed. The green light transformed into a large green mirror that blocked the Soulblaze Slash. However, it couldn''t hold on as cracks appeared on the mirror and then it complete shattered. "No!" Immortal Ninehounds'' face twist and his eyes revealed an insane light as the white flames completely devour him, burning his soul into nothingness. "I did it..." Immortal Faceless floated there with a stunned expression on his face. However, it soon turned into one of joy as he laughed loudly. "Hahahaha! I, Faceless, has been training in the Netherworld Kingdom for 80,000 years and reached the level of the True Immortal through ghost immortal cultivation! In my past life as True Immortal Soulblaze, I was poisoned by my granddaughter because of you! And now, I have gotten my revenge and killed you! Hahahaha!" Immortal Faceless laughed madly as all the resentment and anger that has rested within him for 80,000 was being released. "Now, that I have killed you, my heart is satisfied. I can now go reincarnate. Hopefully in my next life, I can just be a regular mortal." Just when Immortal Faceless was finished laughing he suddenly felt a chill behind his back. He turned around and his eyes stared in shock as an old man with three horns on his head soundlessly appeared him when he wasn''t looking. The old man had an angry look on his face. "S-Senior, what can I do for you?" Immortal Faceless bowed while clasping his hands. "What can you do? Can you bring back the thousands of souls that you destroyed or sent flying off? If you can''t, then why don''t go to the Eighteen Hells like you said before?" The old man waved his hand and a vortex of hellish flames appeared behind Immortal Faceless. The vortex of flames then spewed out black chains that wrapped itself over Faceless. "Eh?" The black chains retracted and Immortal Faceless screamed as he was dragged into the vortex. The old man with three horns snorted and the vortex closed up. "Only several hundred years has pass since the reestablishment of the Netherworld Kingdom and Cycle of Reincarnation. Jeeze, to think that I, Hellhorn, would have to experience this kind of situation where innocent souls were harmed 114 times already. Hah...maybe I should retire." Daofather Hellhorn sighed and transformed into flames that disappeared on the spot. ..... Outside the Three Realms, a lone, dainty soul was floating about. Suddenly, a large hole appeared and the soul was sucked into the hole. ..... Millions of miles from the Three Realms, a blue-robed figure was flying at extremely fast pace. He zoomed past several chaosworld in matters of minutes and tore space just from the speed alone. He was extremely dashing in appearance and carried an aura of power and grace. However, this handsome man was currently being chased by a group of people. They were dressed in black robes and had eyes that glowed with a crimson color. "Fellow Daoist Nightshine, please allow us to view Emperor Starseer''s legacy art. We can trade several lifeblood weapons or hundreds of Eternal-grade weapons for it. We can even trade secret arts or even allow you to see our clan''s special technique." One of the black-robed figure said politely. "Go f*ck yourself!" The blue-robed man cursed at the black-robed figure who spoked. "Big Sister, there''s no need to trouble ourselves with this puny Daolord any longer!" A large black-robed man said, "Let''s just kill him and get the Emperor''s legacy already. He''s only at the third step, after all." The black-robed woman who talked before sighed and glared at the man, "Quiet, Darkjade." The man shutted up and only shrugged his shoulders. The woman turned her attention back to the blue-robed man. "Fellow Daoist Nightshine, please reconsider." The woman was beautiful beyond belief. Her face was flawless and was pure like silk. Most importantly, her expression and tone was soft and gentle as she spoke to the blue-robed man. But he didn''t even winched. "I already told you, Nightjade. I''m not giving away the Emperor''s legacy!" Daolord Nightshine stopped and turned around. As he face the incoming dark figures, he point his index finger forward and a vast amount of energy was concentrated on the tip of his finger. The energy were slowly condensing into a small ball. The black-robed figure were completely shocked and immediately back away slightly. Daolord Nightshine then yelled, "Explode!" The dense ball of energy shot towards the group and flashed with brilliant colors. Like a dying star, the ball exploded into a devastating explosion that engulf most of the dark figures. Seeing this, Nightshine turned around and flew again. "Damn them. They''re so persistent." ..... Daolord Nightshine flew for over an hour before stopping. "Damn, damn, damn! They''re about to catch up." He looked around and saw a vortex in the middle of the void. "This..." Daolord Nightshine looked at it for a moment before saying, "F*ck! Might as well." The Daolord entered through the vortex and immediately felt his body disappearing. "What the hell?!" Daolord Nightshine was completely stunned before his body completely disappeared and his soul was dragged further into the vortex. ..... The group of black-robed Daolords appeared before the vortex. Daolord Nightjade sighed. "So he entered through here, huh?" Daolord Darkjade nodded. "Hm. It''s a death trap too. You could hear his screams for a moment there." "But-" "No ''buts'', Big Sis. Since he entered through here, he most likely died. Since we couldn''t get the legacy, we might as well go back. Hah...we lost three members of our clan during this hunt." Daolord Darkjade shook his head and sighed with grief. Nightjade only shook her head and didn''t say anything. She took one last look at the vortex and sighed before departing with her clan members. ..... Within the vortex, tens of souls were traveling through a spatial tunnel. Each souls were different in some way. One soul glowed with rainbow color, another was shaped like a mirror, while another was dimmed and dark. There were all kinds of weird-looking souls going through the spatial tunnel. However, the spatial tunnel suddenly churned. Space and time twist as several souls were grinded into nothingness. Some souls were ripped apart and split into many pieces. However, then, space and time suddenly focused into a single point and all the souls and soul pieces traveled to that point as well. Soon, as space and time started to stabilize, a lone soul appeared and continued traveling further in the spatial tunnel. This soul was ordinary. It was neither exceedingly bright nor overly dark. It was shaped like small sphere. This soul was just like the soul of a mortal. A few years later, the soul exited the spatial tunnel and entered a world that was located in a nearby galaxy. ..... Within the Tang Clan of Westwind Mountains, the cry of a baby sounded throughout a manor''s room Hearing the cry, a man hurriedly entered the room and swiftly approached the bed where a woman was laying down while holding a baby. Another woman in servant-outfits walked up to the man and bowed slightly. "Greetings, Second Lord." "How was it?" The man asked. The servant smiled and said, "Second Madam is naturally alright. Congratulations, milord; Second Madam gave birth to a boy." The man smiled in glee and turned his attention back to the woman and the baby. The woman opened her eyes and spoke lightly. "Dear..." "Hush! You just gave birth, Yue. Just take it easy and rest." The man gently said to the woman. The woman only shook her head and turned her head to the crying baby. Adoration and love filled her eyes and she gave the baby a kiss on the forehead. The man also turned and kiss the baby. As the servants walk out, happiness and laughter soon filled the room. However, one person was definitely not happy. "Where the f*ck am I?" The baby thought. Chapter 2: Seems Like Cultivating Is Quite Easy In the western lands of the Cloudsea Country, on a cliff of Westwind Mountain, a child of 5-6 years old was sitting cross legged while steadily breathing in and out. This child was the Third Young Master of the Tang Clan, Tang Santian. Although Tang Santian was only a child, he was given the title of "genius" as he was already at peak of the Houtian level despite being so young. In fact, lots of people, including his parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties, and cousins even thought that he was the number one genius in all of Cloudsea Country! Most children at his age in the Cloudsea Country would be somewhere in the earlier stages of the Houtian level, but he was already at the peak, the level where teens who were double of his age were at. Not even the First Young Master of the Tang Clan, Tang Santian''s cousin, Tang Yitian who was already 13 years old and at the late stages of the Houtian level, could compete with in terms of talent. As a genius with sky-high pride, Tang Yitian usual doesn''t lower his head. However, he was wise for his age and could see that his younger cousin was far more brilliant than him so he backed down. Of course, he was still a genius and thus could inherit the "Patriarch" position or even become the "Grand Elder" someday. The talent of Tang Santian caused countless waves in the Tang Clan and even brew storms in the Cloudsea Country. However, Tang Santian had a secret that was far more shocking that his talent. And that secret is the fact that he''s a reincarnator! Actually, he''s not just a reincarnator; he''s a reincarnator who came from another universe and obtain the memories of many immortal cultivators! In his past life, Tang Santian was actually a guy name Adrian. Adrian was your every-day-otaku who loved animes and mangas. However, the great and mighty "Truck-san" killed him while he was walking. His last words? "You ran over a red light goddamnit!" Now reincarnated in a new world and inherited the memories of various powerful cultivator, Adrian had only one goal. "Since I am the chosen one, I shall kick back, relax, and watch as I naturally ascend to godhood!" Or at least, that was his goal. "What the hell is with this universe? All of the techniques and cultivation manual that I have really doesn''t suit this place at all!" Although he had the secret arts and divine abilities of several powerhouses, Adrian found out that it was extremely hard to use the "Dao" and cultivate here. However he later realized something. Within his soul was a small lotus. This lotus was actually a treasure from one of the souls that he got. This lotus was green in color and held a mysterious power within it. When he absorbs the energy of this universe called "true essence", the green lotus would convert that energy into a green mist. This green mist was actually more powerful than the divine power and immortal-ki from the other universe and was definitely more powerful than the true essence that existed here! This green mist could be further converted into drops, but with his current body and power, Adrian could only convert the true essence in his body into small amounts of green mist. But that didn''t matter to him since he had so many cheats already! He breathe in and out slowly as he face the sun. Currently, Adrian was training in a cultivation technique called [Divine Asura Idol]. This was a body-refining technique that could allow someone to train all the way to the World level and become a World God! In the previous universe of the Endless Territories, there were three ways to cultivate: ki refining, body refining, and heartforce cultivating. Ki refining meant to cultivate immortal-ki, body refining meant to cultivate the body to be tougher and purer, and heartforce refining meant to refine the heart by experiencing countless things. Of the three ways, heartforce cultivating was the most uncommon and mysterious. While many cultivator had trained in heartforce to one or two stages, very few had entered the sixth stage and be called a true Heartforce Cultivator! However, to the reach the sixth stage of heartforce that few had ever done was something Adrian aspire. He wished to be a triple refiner and thus cultivates all three paths. After reincarnating, his ambition has truly went beyond the heavens!Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. For body refining, Adrian was currently practicing the [Divine Asura Idol]; for ki-refining, he was practicing the [Inner Stellar World] that could train him up to become a Chaos Immortal, while for heartforce, he was learning the [Realm of the Heart] that could also train him up to the max level. The [Inner Stellar World] was rather easy to understand as it only requires certain mastery over the Dao and certain levels of energy to break through the next stage. Adrian already had certain mastery over some daos from the memories he got. As for energy? What could be better than the green power of the green lotus? The cultivation levels back in the Endless Territories were: Houtian, Xiantian, Zifu Disciple, Wanxiang Adept, Primal, Void, Celestial Immortal/Empyrean God, True Immortal/True God, Ancestral Immortal/Elder God, Chaos Immortal/World God, Samsara Daolord, and Eternal Emperor. As of right now, his current stats are: Xiantian body refiner, ninth stage Houtian Ki-refiner, and at the stage 1 of Heartforce. As he is right now, though he is reputed to be at the peak of the Houtian-level, his current fighting power could match against the peak-level Xiantian martial artist of this world. With his current knowledge, the levels of cultivation in this world are: Houtian, Xiantian, Revolving Core, Life-Destruction, and Divine Sea. In this world, ki-refining was known as essence gathering system while body refining was known as body transformation system, while soul force was something similar to heartforce cultivating, but former wasn''t as profound and stronger as the latter. At least, that''s what Adrian thought. Unfortunately, in this world, the body transformation system wasn''t that popular either and so there were very few body refiner and Adrian had limited knowledge regarding said system. "Third Young Master, the Second Lord has called for you for breakfast." A maid silently approached him and said. Adrian nodded his head and said, "Thanks." ..... Within the dining hall of a large wooden manor, three people were sitting at a table and eating a meal. There was a man, a woman, and Adrian. The man was handsome and refined. He wore a silky black robe that gave him the appearance of a noble and his long black hair was held up in a ponytail by a blue hair tie. His presence was warm and gave people a relaxed feeling. However, sitting beside him was a woman who was the opposite. She wore a sky-blue robe and had enchanting white hair. But, her expression was icy and cold like the deepest of hells. She sat there like a glacier while eating in small portions. By her side was a jade sword that that glowed with faint golden color and surrounded in a thin but visible white mist. These two were Adrian''s parents: Tang Huotian and Meng Yue. "How has cultivating the [Myriad Star Art] been for you, son?" Tang Huotian said. "Fine." The [Myriad Star Art] was the essence gathering cultivation manual that Adrian received and what everyone thought Adrian was cultivating. Of course, he was actually cultivating the [Inner Stellar World], but no one noticed. "Hm. From what I can see, you''ll probably enter Xiantian in about a week, right?" His father asked again. "Nope, I can probably do it today." Adrian''s casual tone shocked his parent greatly. Entering Xiantian today? Kid, aren''t you only 5 year old? You''re still drinking milk, you know! "You only achieved peak-level Pulse Condensation a few days ago! You should wait it out and let your meridian flood with true essence-" "No, he should do it today." Meng Yue interrupted Tang Huotian, "His meridian are already flooded with true essence. Anymore and they might implode." Tang Huotian took a moment to look at Adrian and said, "Ah, already!" Adrian giggled in his heart. The power of the green lotus was something overpowered, even in the Endless Territories. Just by converting all of his true essence into the green mist, he could easily breakthrough to any stages or reach the peak-level of it. The only thing that''s slowing him down in ki-refining is the limited amount of green mist inside him. To further convert more true essence to the green mist, Adrian would have to make his body stronger to hold more power. Thus, Adrian would go slow on ki-refining and focus more on body refining just to build up more space for the green power. While Tang Huotian was still in shock, Meng Yue put her bowl and chopsticks down and said, "San''er, hurry and go to your room to breakthrough." Adrian stood up, nodded, and returned back to his room down on the lower floors. "Honey, what do you think of this?" Tang Huotian said to his wife. Meng Yue thought for a moment. "He definitely has a special physique, but it''s not something I know of. I even look through the ''Divine Bodies and Special Physiques'' book and nothing matches up. The only one that came close was the ''Heavenly Qi Revolution'' physique, but his speed his far quicker than what the physique was described as." "Perhaps this is a new physique?" Tang Huotian felt ecstatic as he said that. "Perhaps." A smile formed on Meng Yue''s face. If their child truly had a special physique and could cultivate well, he would definitely be a strong figure in the future. Although they weren''t wrong, Meng Yue and Tang Huotian could never have imagine that their son''s physique was something that completed defied the laws of the universe. If they knew that the current him go grow over ten meters now and even larger in the future or completely healed an amputated arm within several weeks, what would they think? ..... Within the Tang Huotian''s manor, Adrian was sitting cross-legged in his room, meditating. Fiery and icy lotuses was swirling around him as he revolve the green mist in his body and all over his meridian. Suddenly, the green mist went berserk and poured out of his body. However, Adrian was calm. In fact, he was smiling. "Good, I''ve finally entered Xiantian as a ki-refiner. Seems like cultivating is quite easy." Chapter 3: Dont Make This A Timeskip Now! Its Only Been Three Chapters! Before and after becoming a Xiantian lifeform in both body and ki, Adrian cultivated in fire-type daos and ice-type daos. When one cultivated the [Divine Asura Idol], that person would usually gained minor insights and affinity to certain elements. The beginning stages of the [Divine Asura Idol] involved creating divine tattoos that were divided into three tiers. At the third tier, one would have affinity to one element, at the second tier one could have the potential to control two elements, and at the first tier it would be three elements. He created his tattoos a year ago and managed to get a second tier divine tattoo with the affinity to fire-type and ice-type daos. That was primarily because he created the tattoos during a spar between his parents. His father emanated fire energy while his mother used ice energy. He silently absorbed them to form the second tier divine tattoo of fire and ice. Since then, Adrian mainly focused on cultivating fire-type daos and ice-type daos. Even when he broke through to become a Xiantian lifeform, the elements of fire and ice was exactly what reformed his body. Now, his body was reformed once again with fire and ice along with the green mist. Adrian sat within a sea of flames while icy clouds floated above his head. Two lotuses, one of ice and the other of fire were also spinning around him. He opened his eyes, revealing heterochromic eyes. His left eye was white-blue in color while the right eye was golden-red in color. Those eyes were like the radiant golden sun and the beautiful azure moon, but within those colorful pupils were complex diagrams and runes. They were part of the runes of his divine tattoos. When he entered Xiantian, his eyes changed colors; colors of that symbolized fire and ice. Although they were beautiful and were now his true eye colors, Adrian willed his eyes to become black again. This was to hide the runes in his eyes and also to conceal his true power. Sighing while also smiling, Adrian left his room and decided to walk around his father''s manor. ..... He walked around for three full hours before deciding to "rest" near a lotus pond. He leaned against a tree and watched the lotus on the pond. Some servants spotted him and whispered and gossiped amongst themselves. Though he was only five, Adrian had a glossy long black hair and equally pleasing eyes. He also had the noble and warm aura just like his father, but his face resembled more like his mother''s. Sitting there, Adrian''s appearance was no different than a child from a noble family or a little prince of royalty. Although the servants were staring at him intently, Adrian''s mind was wandering off to somewhere else. During times when he didn''t felt like ki or body refining, he would spent time with the [Realm of the Heart] and practice his heartforce. The [Realm of the Heart] was a strange method to cultivate heartforce as it requires one to train by looking at nature. The plants, the water, the lakes, the rivers, the mountains, the seas, the land, the sky, the animals, the trees, the forests, the hills, the landscape, and even insects. They were all a part of nature and every slight movement was a new scenery. Every new scenery, when added together, could create something like a film. This film was called nature. Adrian immersed himself into the [Realm of the Heart] and slowly his heartforce was completely centered onto the lotus. He felt his heart becoming like a lotus and the lotus was becoming something like his heart. This feeling went on and on and on. Soon, Adrian awakened to the sound of maid calling for him. "Third Young Master, Third Young Master!" The maid called out. "Is there something to matter?" Adrian retracted his heartforce. "The Grand Patriarch has called for you, young master." "Gramps need me?" Adrian nodded at the maid and made haste to the clan hall. ..... The Tang Clan''s clan hall was located atop Westwind Mountain. It was built like a monastery and even had golden statues of deities standing tall and proud, overlooking the mountains from above like guardians. When Adrian entered through the opened doors of the clan hall, there were already dozens of people there. There were his uncles, aunts, parents, cousins, and various servants. However, they were all sitting at the sides on mattresses, forming two lines. At the end, but in between these two lines were three people who sat on meditative mats. On the left was a middle age woman who had black hair tied into a bun. She wore a long robe over servant clothes. Although that was the case and many people sometimes mistaken her as a servant, she is fact the Vice-Matriarch of the Tang Clan, Adrian''s grand-aunt, and the Grand Patriarch''s younger sister: Tang Bingtian. On the right was a large and muscular young man whose hair was just like everyone else in the Tang Clan, but his eyes were concealed by white bandages; a clear sign that he was blind. This man was the Vice-Patriarch of the Tang Clan and the Grand Patriarch and Vice-Matriarch''s younger brother, Tang Xiaotian. Finally, in the middle sat a middle aged, black-bearded man who was handsome and valiant in appearance. He look just like a general of an army; large, strong, and heroic. This was the Grand Patriarch of the Tang Clan and Adrian''s grandfather: Tang Haotian. These three figures were the great founders of the Tang Clan. Despite the clan being "young", it was one of the top three clans in the Cloudsea Country. If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. "San''er." Tang Haotian looked at his third grandson with adoration. "I didn''t believe it at first, but now that you''re in front of me, I can see that your true essence has reached the Xiantian-level." Adrian only nodded his head. "Hah...the speed of your improvement is very good and you will definitely be a powerhouse in the future. Even in the Divine Realm, your speed is quite fast." His grandfather smiled then frowned slightly. "However, your speed is too quick! In the lower realms, your cultivation speed would shock countless worlds!" "Throughout the years, there has been fourteen assassination attempts targeted at you. All of them were from three different clans and sects; two clans from the Cloudsea Country and one enemy sect in another country. We eliminated them already, but if news of your achievement today were to be heard, there will definitely be more assassination attempts and most likely from higher-tier organizations as well." Seeing Adrian''s shocked face, the Grand Patriarch smiled in his heart. "To protect you, the clan has decided for you to stay in the clan for four years! Here, we will give you any resources, techniques, items, and cultivation manuals that you want and need. At same time..." He glanced at his younger brother, the Vice-Patriarch. "Your grand-uncle will teach be teaching and monitoring you during those times, okay?" Although this sounded great to anybody, to some kids who were generally excited and playful, they would definitely disagree and throw a tantrum. However, our protagonist wasn''t some brat. "Yes, grandfather." Adrian nodded while smiling. If he had access to as much resources as he want, he could breakthrough much easier. Ever since he started cultivating, the only ''cultivation resource'' he ever got was the fire and ice energy from his father and mother''s spar. If he had actually treasures and items, he would have the power to ascend to the heavens! Or the Divine Realm, as they called it here. "Ah, you agreed?" Tang Haotian blanked. "Uh...yes, Xiaotian, go bring back him back to your place. Training starts today. Dismiss!" Everyone left the hall and Tang Haotian sat there while humming and drinking tea. The reason why Tang Haotian was stunned was because most kids wouldn''t do this kind of thing. Cultivation was an extremely boring thing to do and most kids don''t actually start cultivating until nine or thirteen years old. It was extremely rare for five years old to cultivate, much less Adrian who started at four! Reaching Xiantian at the age of five and cultivating for only a year. Even the Tang Haotian only reached Xiantian at the age of thirteen and Tang Huotian, his second son and greatest talent of the Tang Clan''s second generation, reached Xiantian at age nine. Although their talents were great, compared to Adrian... "Hah...never thought this kid would agree. I was expecting to have to use this candy and bribe him, but looks like he''s pretty smart." Tang Haotian took out a chocolate ball and gave it a look. After humming for a moment, he threw the chocolate in his mouth and ate it. ..... On the west side of Westwind Mountain, in Vice-Patriarch Tang Xiaotian''s training hall. The Vice-Patriarch and Adrian were sitting in front of a golden statue that had a fierce expression and herculean shape. The moment the Vice-Patriarch took him here, all he said was to sit and meditate. Adrian opened his right eye and took a peek at his blind grand-uncle. In truth, the Vice-Patriarch once did have eyes. However, to train in a secret art, he voluntarily took out his eyes and blinded himself. Once he did that, the young Vice-Patriarch from back then exploded in power and was given the badass title of "Blind Asura." The Blind Asura has retired from the scene and spends his days cultivating peacefully. However, this was only a half of the truth. In reality, while the outside thinks that Tang Xiaotian is a solitary figure, he is in fact the sole trainer for the younger generation of the Tang Clan. This man single handedly refined the second generation of the Tang Clan and unleased their talents! It could be said that without the Vice-Patriarch, Adrian''s father, uncles, and aunts¡¯ generation wouldn''t be as strong as they are today. Of course, they had masters and other teachers, but Tang Xiaotian built their foundation. Now, this low-key, but wise master was going to teach him today. As though he could sense Adrian''s stare, the Vice-Patriarch smiled and said, "San''er, do know why the Grand Patriarch wanted for me to train you?" Adrian shook his head, but thought in his head, "So I can become OP and use this training period as an excuse for a timeskip, right?" "Every month, you are allowed one week of free time and any other days, you will learn and cultivate under me, got it?" "Yes, sir!" Adrian''s eyes burned with passion. The Vice-Patriarch thought to himself, "He''s just like his father..." "Okay then, we are going to start now." "Huh?" The Vice-Patriarch lifted him up and threw him towards the golden statue. His body sunk into the statue as though it was water and he landed on mysterious grounds. Adrian looked around and saw numerous golden statues like the one in his grand-uncle''s training hall, but the only difference was that all of them had red eyes. "Grand-Uncle, this is..." "This is a separate dimension called the Fierce Deity Realm; I named and created it myself. Here, you must fight all one hundred statues within four years." The Vice-Patriarch''s voice rang from above. "All of these statues are of my creation and I suppress their power to only be at the Houtian level for now. Once you defeat ten, I''ll increase all of them to be at the Xiantian level. Once you defeat ninety in total, I''ll increase the difficulty to the Revolving Core level." Ignoring the sweaty and scared looking Adrian, the Vice-Patriarch continued. "You may spend as much time as you wish, but you have to be able to beat them all within four years. You managed to reach Xiantian within one year of cultivation so the clan has high hope for you to possibly reach the Revolving Core realm or even Life-Destruction realm during this period. Of course, if you do, the difficulty would go up. Hahaha..." "F*ck!" Adrian roared in his heart and immediately felt like he was set up. Even if he was a genius, minus the fact that he has the multiple memories from Immortals, he was still an ordinary guy and still five years old right now. "This is abuse, child abuse!" But what else could be expected from the Blind Asura, a man who blinded himself just for power? What Adrian didn''t know was that the second generation of the Tang Clan, including his father, were currently sweating and some even had tears in their eyes as they pray for Adrian''s health. They were once trained by the Blind Asura as well and they knew that the training he giving to Adrian was much harder than the one he gave to them in the past. Some of them shuddered and immediately went into deep thoughts. ..... Back in the Fierce Deity Realm, Adrian was currently fighting one statue right now. He clenched his fist and the statue was knocked back onto the ground. "Whew." "Not bad." The Vice-Patriarch said. "Seeing that you''re not tired, go fight the second one now." Another statue smashed into Adrian and he was knocked far away. He would then come back up and battle the statue. This type of scene continued until he was tired. The Vice-Patriarch would bring him back to the real world, teach him a technique and give an advice or two and returned him back to the dimension. This went on continuously. Day by day, month by month, year by year. Time flashed as Adrian continue to train under the Vice-Patriarch. "Wait, don''t make this a timeskip now! It''s only been three chapters! I haven''t even decided if I like this story and want to be its prota-" ..... And so, four years passed as Adrian walked out of the Vice-Patriarch''s training hall and took a deep breathe in. Then, he suddenly went on one knee and raised both of his arms up. "I can finally see light. Praise! Praise the sun and all of its glory! I''m finally free, b*tches!" Chapter 4: Abduction After he was done "praising the sun," Adrian sighed and laid down on the ground. He closed his eyes and replay the events that happened during these four years. During this time, he learned two new techniques and went under strict training and hardship every day. Every day was hell for him. Oh, and those "free days?" In truth, while the Vice-Patriarch called it free, Adrian was forced to study and learn about the world. Even though the clan wanted him to be strong, they wanted him to have common sense and knowledge as well. Education matters after all and at least he didn''t have to go to school. Overall, the total amount of free time that he had was twenty days which the all the adults said wasn''t bad. "Now then..." Adrian released the cultivation base. After four years, his cultivation was above the Xiantian realm and now he was a Zifu Disciple in both body and ki which was equivalent to Revolving Core martial artists. The Revolving Core realm and the Zifu Disciple realm were both quite similar as both required the consumption of as much energy as possible before breaking through to the next stage or realm. The Revolving Core realm focused on the dantian within one''s body and condensing as much energy as dantian can do to obtain higher quality true essence and quicker true essence absorption rate. At Zifu Disciple, cultivators are required to absorb as much elemental essences as they can to expand their Violet Palace to the maximum size before entering the next stage. Both were similar, but ultimately different. One focus on condensation while the other on expansion. Adrian found it amusing how these different cultivation systems were so similar, yet so different at the same time. "San''er." A voice sounded behind him. He turned around and saw his parents. "Hey Mom, Hey Dad." He stood up and walked to them. "Oh, how much you''ve grown!" Meng Yue pinched his cheeks which made him blushed a little. "Stop, mom! You saw me a week ago!" "Oh, but that was as week ago! A lot can change within a week." Meng Yue usually greets and talks to him with smiles and laughter, but towards anyone else, even her husband, she was like a glacier. Exactly like her name, Meng Yue was cold and seemingly unreachable like the moon. Of course, she wasn''t heartless. Using his knowledge, Adrian determined that his mother was, 100%, a kuudere. Tang Huotian only look at them with a smile before talking. "How about you show us how much you''ve improve in the last four years, San''er." "In that case, I''ll spar with him." His mother offered. However, his father denied. "No, you dote on him too much! You won''t even let him see one of our spars after since he started cultivating. If you can''t even do that, can you even raised your sword?" His mother stammered for a moment before pouting and biting her lips. "A little out of character, but she''s still ''dere'' after all." Adrian murmured to himself. "Now then, let¡¯s go fight in the hall!" ..... In the training hall, Adrian and Tang Huotian were each holding a wooden sword and standing exactly a hundred meters from each other. Meng Yue and the Vice-Patriarch were sitting on the side, judging the duel. "In this duel, there will be two rules. First, Tang Huotian must suppress his cultivation level to the peak of the Xiantian realm. Second, he''s only allowed to use the first level of all his concepts," The Vice-Patriarch announced. "Now, begin!" Both fighters disappeared from where did stood and reappeared at the center of the hall, their wooden swords clashing. If not for the fact the swords were made from magical wood, they would''ve been broken by now. That included the wooden floor as well, which would''ve crack if not for being special as well. Tang Huotian immediately forced Adrian back and then slash out. Sword-intent came pouring at him and Adrian immediately used his sword-intent as well. Unlike the Endless Territories, the "Daos" of this universe were called concepts or laws and every one of them were divided into different levels. What''s different about these concepts compared to Daos were that they were already fixed in place and one couldn''t change it. Of course, one could use these concepts as they like, but they weren''t as flexible as Daos. And so, because the laws of these universe weren''t the complete same, Adrian would have to slowly comprehend them as he goes along. With the memories he received, he could at least enter the first level of the Concept of Sword. Fortunately, the strange power of the laws called "intent" still exist, and he simply copied one of the intent of a Sword cultivator to use. The two different sword-intent clashed against and decimated each other. Tang Huotian then put about twenty meters between him and Adrian. Suddenly, flames started to appear around him. He raised his right hand high and the flames gathered in his palm to form a large ball of flames. He threw the fireball and stood there, waiting Adrian''s next move. Like how a normal martial artist would react, Adrian held his sword up, waiting for the fireball to come in close and destroy it. Icy mist swirl around his sword like a snake as it waits for its incoming prey. You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story. However, this prey suddenly did something unexpected. At the time when Adrian was just about to swing his sword, the fireball split into five! Caught in surprise, he took a step back, but the five fireballs surrounded him completely. He wrapped himself in true essence and fully took on the attack. Of course, with a Zifu-level body, he could''ve taken that attack head-on, but if his body regeneration were to be shown, he would''ve been asked dozens of questions by the adults. Boom! Although his son just took a direct hit from his attack, Tang Huotian encase his heart in ice and appeared right behind him. He swung his sword and Adrian was sent flying dozens of meters. Even though it seemed like he struck him hard, Tang Huotian held back enough strength to only knock back the child rather than actually hurt him. Still, this attack made Adrian fall on his face which hurt quite badly. "Damn, can''t he go easier on a nine-year old?" After rubbing his nose, Adrian stared back at this father. "Since you wanted a fight so bad, check this out!" Adrian willed the green mist in his body and executed a secret art that he created when he entered the Xiantian realm, the [Twin Lotuses of Fire and Ice]. Two enormous lotuses, one made from fire and the other of ice, revolving around him. If he created these lotuses using true essence, they would only be around the one meter in length and width. However, since he was pissed, he couldn''t help but recklessly using the powerful green mist energy, making the lotuses over nine meters in length and width. Using his stage 1 heartforce as support and to control, he shot the two lotuses toward Tang Huotian. The ice lotus spun towards his left and the fire lotus spun towards his right. Even a fool could see that Adrian was using a pincer attack on his opponent. If he was using his original strength, Tang Huotian could simply stand there and take on the attack by covering himself in true essence. However, with just Xiantian-level power and true essence, the imminent feeling of danger welled in him. He jumped up, dodged the lotuses, and slashed out. Burning heat combined with sword-intent smashed into the two lotuses. However, contrary to what everyone including Adrian thought, the fire lotus and ice lotus actually obliterated the hot sword-intent and continued advancing towards their target. Tang Huotian''s eyes revealed a hint of surprise before the true essence in his body increased to the Revolving Core-level and he smashed his palms against the lotuses. They immediately disperse. Landing on the ground and smiling at Adrian, he said, "Good job, kid. You won." Meng Yue and Tang Xiaotian walked over alongside Tang Huotian and they all gathered around Adrian. "Nicely done, San''er." "This is my first time seeing San''er''s self-created technique! I''m so proud of you!" "He''s definitely stronger than I was when I was at the Revolving Core realm long ago." The three complimented Adrian and asked numerous questions. It was after he said that he was feeling tired did they allowed him to leave. He quickly returned to his room and replayed the battle in his head. Perhaps he had numerous flaws, but the most conspicuous one was the fireball. He was unaware that the opponent could simply the control his attack, even when it was already initiated. He took a quick mental note at whatever he done wrong before and then slept. At his level, one didn''t need to sleep for years, but he did to calm down and relax after four years of stressful training. ..... Darkness descended as the moon hung high in the night sky. On the foot of Westwind Mountain, five guards garbed in dark-azure armor stood before the entrance to the mountain. They were the Silent Shadows of the Tang Clan, an elite squad personally trained by the Vice-Patriarch. Each of them were in the Divine Sea realm, but could fight against martial artists of higher cultivation realms. There were over thirty of them and they all protect Westwind Mountain, but every month, a group of five would change shifts to guard the entrance way to the mountain. "Have you all heard about the duel today?" One of them said. "What duel?" "Between whom?" The others asked while raising their eyebrows. "The duel between the Second Lord and Third Young Master." Said the guard who first spoke. "Oh that one!" "I remember now! I heard one of the servants talking about it." The others'' eyes flashed with understanding. During the duel between Adrian and Tang Huotian, there were a few servants who watched and saw the intense spar. The Vice-Patriarch noticed, but felt as though there wasn''t a need to say anything. Having spectators wouldn''t affect the duel in any way, so why not just let them stay? However, he didn''t know that servants of the Tang Clan were extremely famous in the outside world for gossiping! They were the progenitors of rumors in the Cloudsea Country; the ancestors of "number one" headlines! How else do you think everyone knows that the Third Young Master, at age five, reached Houtian within one year of cultivation? The mouths of these servants could swallow the heavens! The Silent Shadow guards talked amongst themselves until an abrupt voice broke their conversation. "Woah, this kid sounds pretty good!" "Who''s there?" Weapons materialize on the guards'' hands as they each took a stance. However, golden lights flashed in the air as the guard who just spoke collapsed onto the ground. "What the-" Golden lights flashed again as the other four guards black-out and fell as well. A chubby silhouette passed by them and then disappeared. It reappeared once again, but inside Adrian''s bedroom. With his heartforce spread throughout and beyond the room, Adrian could sense anyone''s presence. However, his heartforce failed to detect this unknown figure who was so close to him. "Who-" Before Adrian could finish, the chubby figure raised its hand and the golden light flashed once more. The chubby figure picked up the unconscious Adrian and left through the window. However, the chubby figure returned again, wrote something on the wall, and then left. ..... The next morning. "Grand Patriarch! Grand Patriarch!" A male servant rushed into the Clan Hall. "What is it?" The Grand Patriarch casually drank some tea after asking. "T-Th-Third You-Young Ma-Master! Third Young Master has been kidnapped!" The servant stuttered. "Pfft!" Tang Haotian spew the tea in his mouth and it landed on the servant''s face. "What!?" Pushing his true essence and cultivation base to the limit, Tang Haotian rushed to Adrian''s room and saw a message on the wall, written in black ink. After reading the whole message, the Tang Haotian howled in rage. "ARGH!!!" That day, the Cloudsea Country and several other countries, kingdoms, and empires shook as the Tang Clan moved out and drew blood from anyone they had conflict with. Though many tried to stop them, the Tang Clan was too powerful and berserk. Since then, numerous rumors regarding the Tang Clan has spread like wildfire. One describe that their rage was so great, even Westwind Mountain shook for a whole month before calming down. However, no matter how angry the Tang Clan was, the Third Young Master has yet to be found. Since the day they returned, the Tang Clan closed all entrances to Westwind Mountain and refused to greet anyone, even if it was the current King of Cloudsea Country. ..... In a faraway land from Cloudsea Country, a boy woke up while scratching his head. "Where the hell am I?" The boy said. "Oh good, you woke up." An old voice rang beside him. "Who''s there!?" The boy leaped up to look for the owner of the voice. The boy then felt someone knocked his head with a fist and tears welled up in his eyes. "Ow!" The boy turned around and saw an old man who started to yell at him. "Unfilial disciple! Why haven''t you greeted your master yet!?" Chapter 5: Crazy Old Man "Unfilial disciple! Why haven''t you greeted your master yet!?" Adrian eyed the old man who proclaimed to be his ''master''. The first thing he noticed about this old man was his white hair, which was disheveled to the point that it look like a comb would break just by trying to stroke it. Stature that was short and chubby, eyes that were droopy and lazy, eyebrows that were thick and long; all of these qualities, along with his white and grey raggy robe, made him look like a grumpy dumpling. "Who the hell are you?" Adrian asked. However the only answer he got was a smack on the head. "Didn''t I already said who I am? I''m your master!" The grumpy old man sighed as he look at his ''disciple''. He was just about to send a fist straight to the old man, but remembering that the chubby figure in the night that day, Adrian held back. "Where am I?" He stared around and saw that while he was in a cottage, the surrounds were completely different and Westwind Mountain was nowhere to be seen. "This is my house. From now on, you''re gonna live here and I shall train you to the peak of the martial path!" The old man put his hands behind his back and spoke with righteousness. Hearing this old man sounding like he was morally awesome, Adrian exploded. "Screw that! I never accepted you as my master and where is Westwind Mountain!? If you bring me back now, my clan can give you whatever you want!" "Aye, that sounds great and all, but no one in your clan has someone as talented as you are. In fact, not a lot of kids from that Divine Realm can contend with you." The old man stretched out his left leg and pulled a chair over. "Now then, while I call you my disciple, we haven''t done a proper master-disciple ceremony yet." Sitting on the chair, he straighten his back and looked at Adrian. "Come, come, kowtow to me thrice and asked to be my disciple and I shall agree." "You''re crazy!" Adrian backed up a bit and looked at the old man in fear. Who the hell did this old man thought he was? "What!? Crazy!? How could you call your master that?" The old man put on a shocked on face and his face sadden. Although he was crazy, seeing this genuine sad face, Adrian was a bit taken back. Why are you sad? Didn''t you kidnap me? "That''s okay. I have a top-notch way to get you to accept me. This method will definitely get it to your head." The old man reached into his robe and swiftly raised his hand. Adrian wanted to see what it was, but only saw that whatever object it was, it was wrapped in golden light. The old man then began to chant. "I follow the Dao of Virtue and Righteousness. I am the Guardian of Light. I am the holy being, the sacred divinity. Oh people of the world, lend me your goodwill, give me your blessing and allow my disciple to see the light!" After he said "light", the old man smashed his hands down. At this moment, time itself seemed to have slowed. Before, Adrian couldn''t see what the old man was holding. However, after the old man''s hand got close enough, he could clearly see the object. It was rectangular in shape with a length of 9 inches, width of 4 inches, and height of 3 inches. Its surface was rough and crude. There were small cracks on the object, as though many things hit it on the same spot over and over again. Still, the most distinct part of this object was its color. It was red. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. Adrian''s mind flashed with many things, but only when the object struck him did he remember what it was. It was... a brick! Bonk! "Ow!" Adrian rubbed his head and couldn''t believe that the old man was beating him with a brick! A goddamn brick! "What the hell!?" "Hm?" The old man scratched his neck. "Seems like one wasn''t enough, huh?" Bonk! "Ow! Sto-" Bonk! "Just sto-" Bonk! "You cra-" Bonk! "Stop! At this rate, I really will begin to see the ''light!''" Bonk! He''s literally trying to get it "into my head"! Bonk! "..." Bonk! "..." Bonk! ..... Half an hour later, Adrian was lying on the floor with several black-blue bumps on his head. Although the old man struck hard, he didn''t do it to the point that Adrian would bleed. In fact, Adrian felt as though every time he was struck, a warm and cozy energy would fill his body and he would recover, but the pain would intensify. "Now then..." The old man sat down once again. "Are you ready yet, my disciple?" Though his head was littered with bumps, Adrian kowtowed three times on the hard wooden floor. "Disciple greets you, master!" "Haha! Good, good, good!" The old man was so excited that he repeated "good" three times."Starting today, you are my disciple!" The old man gave a hearty laugh before a throwing a book at Adrian. "Here, as your master I shall give you one of my most prized and powerful martial arts. As long as you reach the small success stage in it, I guaranteed that with just a Revolving Core cultivation base, you can wreck anyone at the Divine Sea realm or below!" At first, Adrian was excited. He knew that this crazy old man wasn''t simple so if something that he regarded as "powerful" was definitely overpowered! He picked up the book and read its title. "Super Heaven-Defying Secret Art: Ultimate Brick!" "This is bullsh*t!" He threw the book onto the floor. "How dare you!? Don''t you know what this book means to me?" The old man picked up the book and placed it gently on the table. "I spent countless years creating and perfecting this secret art! With this secret art, I was able to travel numerous worlds and return home alive." The old man looked at the "Super Heaven-Defying Secret Art: Ultimate Brick" on the table with nostalgia and melancholy. He was looking at it as though it was his greatest treasure. "Are you kidding with me, master? Isn''t this a joke book?" The old man shook his with great disappointment. "I''m truly disappointed that you have eyes, but can''t see Mount Tai. Still, since you acknowledge me as your master, I''ll forgive you this once." He turned around and threw the book at Adrian. However, the book accidentally hit the latter''s face.Pretending that he didn''t hear a smack followed by wrathful growls behind his back, the old man coughed a few times. "Make sure to train well in this secret art. I grant you permission to use however as many brick as you need to train. They''re right outside the door." He then grabbed a nearby straw hat and put it on. "Now then, I gotta go somewhere for a bit. Make sure you behave." The old man swiftly left the room, leaving Adrian inside the small cottage. "This..." Adrian wanted to say something, but he only sighed. "Well, I might as well read this." He opened the [Ultimate Brick] secret art and began to read. "In the beginning, there was chaos! At the end, there was destruction! These two aspect of the universe were given by the Grandmist." "At the same time, many things occurred and were created in between the beginning and the end. Countless worlds were created, life and death were established, and divine weapons were forged by the universe." "There were many wonders, but none could match the brick! Those that follows the Dao of the Brick were truly heroic figures. They had no need for divine swords to split the sky. They had no need for godly spears to pierce the heavens. They had no need for unbreakable shields to defend their loved ones." "All that they needed were in the brick! Splitting the sky? Just smack the sky flat! Pierce the heavens? Just crush the heavens into a pulp! Defending others? Just the toss the brick onto the enemy''s face!" "If God dares stand in your way, brick him! If Buddha dares stand in your way as well, brick him too! With a brick in hand, you can rule the world!" Adrian said nothing as he slowly closes the book. He truly wanted to say something again, but words wouldn''t come out of his mouth, no matter how hard he tried. Indeed, this book was true to its name. It could make anyone who read it speechless, incapable of expressing a single sound. Yet, this silence was also a way to tell one''s emotion about it. Indeed, truly super, truly heaven-defying! Chapter 6: Running Away Adrian put down the [Ultimate Brick] secret art and sat down to meditate it a little bit. In his head, a red brick appeared and was placed gently onto the void. After that, another brick came and was careful placed next to the first brick. This cycle continued until there were nine bricks in a row. After that row, a new row of bricks started to build starting with one brick being placed on top of the first brick of the first row. After the second row was completed, the third started to build. This was the way to cultivate the [Ultimate Brick] secret art, to imagine bricks! Well that wasn''t exactly it, but the objective was to create something by using imaginary bricks. This secret art had three levels: small success stage, large success stage, and "One with The Brick". First, to achieve small success, one had to build something using 999 bricks. Second, to achieve large success, one had to build something using 9999 bricks. Lastly, to achieve "One with the Bricks", one had to build something using 99999 bricks! Although it sounded really simple, in truth this manual was a lot more profound than it seems. To actually enter any of the levels, you would need to build a complete a perfect structure. You could build anything, as long as it was completed and perfect with the required amount of bricks. Still, in theory, this way of cultivation was easy and not at all hard. After ten minutes, Adrian built a wall structure of 9 columns by 111 rows of bricks. When the 999th bricked landed, the wall glowed with a golden light, symbolizing that the structure was valid and that he reached the small success stage. After reaching the small success stage, he stepped out of the meditative state. He walked out of the cottage and saw a pile of old bricks. Picking one up, he played around with the brick by tossing it in the air a couple times. He felt strangely good when he touched the brick, as though the brick was a toy that accompany him since childhood. He looked around and saw that the cottage was actually located on a mountain. "What a nice view..." Looking at the land from atop the mountain was a truly wonderful feeling. He took a deep breath and admire the scene. However, his face suddenly blanked. As though dozens of lightning bolts just struck him, he dropped the brick and it fell onto his foot. Still, he ignored the pain and laughed with gusto. "Hahaha! Since that old man left, I can finally go!" Adrian picked up the brick and then proceeded downwards. Within seconds, he crossed several hundred meters. ..... Time passed by as the sun has reach high noon, but Adrian was still advancing at a usually pace. Although he traveled for several hundreds of kilometers, there wasn''t even as much a drop of sweat on his face. With the movement-type divine ability [Spring-Autumn Leaf Breeze] powered by the green mist energy, if Adrian was still on Earth, he could travel around the planet within a week and wouldn''t even expend half of the green mist energy much less this region which Adrian guessed wouldn''t be anywhere close to Earth''s size. Still, even after traveling for so far, he hasn''t seen an end to it at all. However, after leaving this place, his first goal was to find civilization and get a sense of where he was. From then on, he would make his way back to Westwind Mountain in the Cloudsea Country to meet up with the Tang Clan again. Thinking of the Tang Clan, his mind flashed to memories about his father and mother. Although he still remember his previous parents and still cared for them a lot, these new parents of his were also people that he deeply love. Perhaps others saw that he lost five years of precious childhood with his parents, but to Adrian who had a soul of over two decades and soul fragments of cultivators who lived for multiple chaos cycle, he could see and appreciate the deep love his parents had for him. He rubbed his eyes a little before an intense desire to find and return home burned in his eyes. "I will come home soon." Adrian said with a smile. However, it soon turned into a frown as he suddenly felt a chill. With his level of power, it was impossible for that to happen, but he made himself chill. "What I just said... why do I feel like I just raised a death flag?" He gave a bitter laugh. "Nah, there''s no way." Unfortunately, he jinxed himself. RAWR!!! From a mountain that was approximately 100 kilometers from him, a deafening roar that could shatter the earth and make someone piss themselves thunder out. The roar traveled like wildfire and spread all across the region. Immediately, all the creatures within the region went berserk. Adrian looked to the side and saw several hundreds of animals charging towards him. Scared witless, he powered [Spring-Autumn Leaf Breeze] to maximum power and soared into the air. After flying for over 30 meters, he stopped and look below. On the grassy plain, he could see millions, if not, several hundreds of thousands of beast stampeding through the plain. There were all types of creature down below. Some were vicious-looking snakes, others looked like a cross between a bird and a lion, and there was one that had a smile body. In fact, several aerial-type beasts were flying at around his height as well. However, they didn''t even spare a glance at him.If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Still, he could tell that all of these creatures had a similar objective: running away from the direction of the roar. At this moment, he slowly descended and landed on a brown, five-horned buffalo. This was the Brown King Buffalo that could travel as fast as three-thousand kilometers per hour. Although it wasn''t the fastest beast in this "tsunami" of creatures, it was still rather quick. Apparently, the buffalo noticed him, but didn''t shake him off. Rather it couldn''t bother to. It was in currently in "flight mode" and a smaller organism that was currently doing the same thing it was actually gained it empathy. Of course, Adrian didn''t know what the animal was thinking or feeling. If he did, he wouldn''t have cared anyways. In a way, he thought that he actually avoided the death flag. ..... The stampede went as long as two hours, but Adrian already got off from the buffalo as soon as he couldn''t see the mountain from behind. With the stampede going south, the mountain where the roar came from in the North, and the old man''s cottage in the Southeast, Adrian decided to go southwest. However, just when he was about to go, another earth-shattering roar blasted out. Even though he was thousands of kilometers away from it, the roar was still painful clear to him. He covered his ears with his hand to block off some of the sound. "IF I DON''T KILL YOU TODAY, I''LL MAKE SURE TO DO SO TOMORROW!!!" "YOU F*CKING DAMNED PIG!!! IF YOU GIVE IT BACK NOW, I''LL GIVE YOU A CLEAN AND HONORABLE DEATH!!!" "SHUI DONGHAI!!!" The land rumbled, the clouds churned, and the winds screamed. Adrian could roughly guessed what happen and he rolled his eyes. It wasn''t uncommon for martial artists to take risks and adventure beyond from whence they came. No matter how large a clan was, how rich a city was, or how powerful one''s parent were, a martial artist need to venture and experience the world for themselves. Even the Tang Clan couldn''t just keep their Third Young Master in the house forever. At some point, Adrian would need to go out and Only through great risks can great fortune be obtained. In this situation, this "Shui Donghai" definitely went into some powerful beast''s lair and stole its treasure. Even though he understood, Adrian still complained. "If you''re going to play house thief, at least do it quietly! Hah... such greed, anyone close to you will be struck by lightning, you know?" ..... As the sun sets, Adrian slowed down and found a cave. He looked inside and around the cave to make sure no beast were around. After, checking everything, he entered the cave. The cave was rather narrow and only went as deep as ten meters. Leaning on the wall, Adrian sat down and meditate. As the moon rises, howls and cries of animals could be heard within the distance. However, to Adrian, there was one that was particularly close. About 30 meters from his cave was a red-scaled beast. It was over 10 meters tall, but its tail was almost double its height. But, the most prominent part of this creature were its nine horns that were shaped and aligned in a way that looked like a crown. This beast was part of the dragon race and it was called the Red Crown Horned Dragon. Red Crown Horned Dragon usually starts with one horn and as they grow stronger, more horn would appear on their heads. The most powerful of these Red Horned Dragon were those with nine horns, such as the one in front of Adrian. If a single-horned Red Crown Horned Dragon could contend with Houtian level martial artists, a nine-horned Red Crown Horned Dragon would be around mid-level of the Life-Destruction realm. However, because its defensive ability was so great, it can easily withstand the attack of a high-level Life-Destruction realm expert or a peak-level Wanxiang Adept! Adrian spread his heartforce and he could now sense everything within a 50 meters radius. As a person who''s trying to run away as far as possible, there''s shouldn''t be any reason for him to engage in battle, especially with such a powerful creature. However, this was a nine-horned Red Crown Horned Dragon. Such a beast was extremely rare. Even in books, Adrian couldn''t find too much details regarding this dragon. However, an undisputed fact about it was its horns. Every horn of a Red Crown Horned Dragon could easily be worth several thousand True Jewels and as the dragon continues to grow stronger, each of its horns would increase in quality. A Red Crown Horned Dragon with nine horns... as long as he sells them all, he could definitely buy a few Heaven-Step treasures! Even his clan only gave him an Earth-Step weapon, the wooden sword, and that was only because of its quality; this sword was simply used for practice. With enough money to buy Heaven-Step treasures, he could definitely buy at least one speed-type or transportation-type treasure. This would allow him to travel faster. Even with a movement-type divine ability and the green mist energy, a Zifu Disciple could only do so much. However, at least he was a Zifu Disciple. Although he was in another universe, the cultivation systems from the Endless Territories still applied to him, so only after becoming a Zifu Disciple, he could use storage-type treasures. He lightly touched the silvery blue ring that he received on his ninth birthday on his left middle-finger and three talisman immediately appeared in his hands. He covered himself in heartforce, ran out of the cave, threw the talisman in the way to the walking beast, and retreated to a safe distance. The talisman that he threw down were the Electric Fire Talisman, items that could be activated with true essence and cause great destruction. Rumble! Rumble! Every step that the nine-horned beast took lightly shook the earth and the trees swayed in respond. To it, it was simply having a quiet and relaxing night walk. In fact, it would sometimes look at the sky and stared at the stars and thought to itself, "Ah, how peaceful my life is..." However, the night was just about to get livelier. The moment the nine-horned beast touched the talisman, Adrian ignited it. RAWR!!! The Red Crown Horned Dragon cried and let out a whimper. It lifted up its feet and saw that the red scale from underneath had been entirely charred black. "WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!?" The beast thought to itself. It was just about to move again, when suddenly, as it took another step, another explosion happened underneath its left foot. RAWR!!! Again, another explosion happened. The beast took a moment to breathe before staring at the ground below it. It then began to use all of its senses, hearing the slightest sound, seeing the slightest movement, tasting the slightest change in the air, smelling the most nuances of smells, touching anything it could reach. After two minutes, the beast calmed down and took another step. BOOM!!! Indeed, the Red Crown Horned Dragon stepped on all three of the Electric Fire Talisman that Adrian placed. However, unbeknownst to it, Adrian took out another three talisman. The clan gave Adrian at least 30 of these talisman to protect himself in case of an emergency. But, even they wouldn''t have guess that he would use them to practically torture a powerful beast to the brick of tears and of course, with 27 more talisman and the fact that the beast defensive ability were quite strong, this night was going to be a loud and painful one. Chapter 7: The Might of the [Ultimate Brick] Secret Art The Red Crown Horned Dragon fainted after the 15th talisman. After checking that no else was nearby, Adrian cautiously walked to the beast. He first touched its horn and caressed them. The horns of the dragon was about one meter in length and, according to records, should weigh about a ton each. Each were beautiful and red like a ruby and silky smooth. At the tip of every horn was a bit of golden hue that made the horns more beautiful than they already were. Adrian tried to break the horns off the dragon''s head since he didn''t have a blade to cut them off. However, no matter how much he pulled, the horns would budge at all. He even fell on his behind because his hand slipped. "Damn, how will this work." He decided to just sit on its head and think."The horns are too firmly implanted to its scalp and it¡¯s too heavy for me to drag it somewhere. Even if I do bring it somewhere else, how would it benefit me?" Apparently, he was too deep into his thoughts that Adrian didn''t notice the eyes of the dragon below him twitching. It was after a few seconds until the dragon completely woke up. However, it stayed completely still. When it woke up, it noticed that a creature was on its head and after hearing a few noises from the creature, it determined that it was a human! The flames of wrath raged in its heart, knowing that this little human was definitely the reason it was currently on the ground. It really wanted to jump up now and eat the human, but it knew that it had to be patient; it had to wait until it knew that the human was distracted. Several minutes passed by and Adrian and the dragon has yet to move. One was concentrating and the other was waiting. One was calm and the other was fuming. Noticing that the human on its head was still unmoving, the dragon launched its attack! Adrian felt the dragon below him started to swiftly raise its head and launched him into the air. "Crap! It''s awake already!?" He thought that after 15 Electric Fire Talisman, the dragon would be knocked-out-cold for several hours. Unfortunately, this Red Crown Horned Dragon wasn''t the average beast. After launching Adrian into the air, the dragon jumped up as well. It open its jaw, wanting to devour the human that caused it harm. Seeing the nasty, smelly mouth of the dragon, Adrian felt a sicken feeling welling inside his stomach. He ignored it and used the [Spring-Autumn Leaf Breeze] to dodge the Red Crown Horned Dragon. After doing so, he circulated the green mist energy inside him to maximum power and form a fiery lotus and an icy lotus. He crossed his arms, sending the lotuses towards the dragon. [Twin Lotuses of Fire and Ice], pincer attack! The two lotuses collided into the dragon and exploded. The shockwave created from the explosion send several nearby trees and Adrian flying several dozens of meters away. He stabilized himself using the movement-type divine ability and managed to stand still. However, the booming sound of footsteps rang in the distance as the Red Crown Horned Dragon was currently charging at him! On the sides of the dragon were two different marks. One was white and frosty and the other was dark and charred. While the dragon was injured from his attack, it was completely enrage to the point that it simply ignored the pain. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. Now, Adrian was panicking. Earlier, he used over 90% of the green mist energy to use that attack and thought that it was enough to kill it. However, he wasn''t expecting the Red Crown Horned Dragon to be so strong in both defense and will! "Damn!" He threw out the last remaining talismans in his ring and as the dragon came in close, he ignited them. However, before he could ignite them, the dragon turned around and swiped its tail. The tail attack managed to knock back ten talisman, but five of them were attached to the tail. BOOM!!! The moment the five Electric Fire Talisman exploded, the Red Crown Horned Dragon''s tail was completed obliterated! As for the other ten talisman, when they were knocked back, they all landed and exploded in the forest. Now, a massive wildfire was starting to spread from tree to tree. Several creatures living within the tree or around the area started to move out as soon as they saw fire. Even some strong beasts that can completely leave a town in ruins were running in the opposite direction as soon as they saw the massive storm of flames and blazing trees. However, neither Adrian nor the Red Crown Horned Dragon had time to pay attention to the natural disaster taking place. In this battle of life and death, only the two of them existed within the fighting arena known as a forest. Since the dragon''s tail was destroyed into nothingness, it decided to open its jaw once more to eat Adrian. Its eyes flickered with murder as it came closer to its adversary. Seeing that mouth like the grip of the Reaper coming closer towards him, countless thoughts stormed inside Adrian''s head. Was he going to die here? After training and living for nine years, was he going to die just like that? Ah hell no! In this state when he''s about to die, Adrian took out the brick! Raising the brick, waiting for the head of the dragon to come closer, Adrian smashed down the brick! Bonk! When the brick struck the dragon, it immediately stopped and went into a daze. It''s eyes spun in circles as though it was being hypnotize. "A chance!" Adrian used this time when the dragon was in a daze to move back. Although the dragon only went into a daze for 2 seconds, it more than enough time for Adrian to move back several hundreds of meters. Adrian stared at the brick and pondered. When the beast charged at him again, he struck it with the brick and it immediately went into a daze again. "T-This...," Adrian stuttered. "Could it be? Could it be that this brick... has a stun effect?" No, it couldn''t be! When Adrian first touched the brick, all he noticed was that the brick was just like any red brick, plain and simple. It had no magical enchantment nor was made from any divine material. It was just made out of clay and the only thing it could be enchanted with was dust and dirt. The only other logical answer would be... "No way, the [Ultimate Brick] Secret Art!?" Although he had great doubt, the more he thought about it, the more Adrian was convinced. The crazy old man told him that as long as he reach the small success stage, with "Revolving Core" level power, he could easily defeat those of the Divine Sea realm and below. Now he understood. Whether it were battles between Immortals or between martial artists, the battles that they fought were extremely fast. Even a second was considered slow for these figures. With the ability to stun his opponent as he wish for 2 seconds with a brick smack, in the span of those dazed time, he could easily send dozens of attacks at opponents or travel several hundreds of meters away from them and those numbers were only because of his current power! If he was more powerful, the numbers of attack he could do or distances he could travel would increase dramatically! Better yet, in the time span of two seconds, he could deliver a deadly blow and kill his opponent! The old man was right! This technique is overpowered as f*ck! As all of these thoughts were going through Adrian''s head, he spent every second smacking the dragon. At some point in time, his nerves were relaxed and now he was performing a few experiment. He found out that no matter where he hit, for the target to be stunned, they had to be struck on the head. He also found out that the stun effect would reset after the time he would smash the head. Much to his disappointment, that means that the stun effect can''t be stacked. Once he ran out of ideas, Adrian send a lotus of fire into the dragon''s stomach. The fire lotus expanded in the dragon''s body and then transformed it into a pile of blood and gore. Then, the fire lotus burned away most of the blood before it dematerialize. Adrian looked at the corpse of the dragon and bowed slightly. "Thank you for being my ''science'' partner. Your sacrifices will not be in vain. Now then, these horns..." Just as Adrian was about to grab the head of the Red Crown Horned Dragon, an abruptly loud voice from above sent shivers down his spine. "Disciple, where are you?" Chapter 8: Why Are You So Stupid? "Disciple, where are you?" Adrian shivered when he heard the crazy old man''s voice. "Oh crap, he''s here!" However, before he could move a muscle, the old man already appeared before him. "Ah there you were." "I-I-I..." Adrian couldn''t help, but felt afraid. Since he ran away and now that the crazy old man was back, what was he going to do to him? However, amidst his fear, he didn''t notice that the old man was looking at the Red Crown Horned Dragon''s corpse. The old man took a few glance at the pieces of burnt flesh that was littered everywhere within sight. His nose perked up and smelled the disgusting scent of blood. Still, out of this chaos, what attracted him the most of were the golden tips of the dragon''s horn. The old man looked away at the corpse and delivered his attention to Adrian. "You did all of this?" "Y-Ye-Yes!" The old man continued to look at him before laughing. "Well I''ll be damned! As expected of my disciple." He looked at the forest fire in the distance that had already spread to hundreds of meters of land. He stretched out his right hand with the palm up. Then, he flipped it. Massive clouds gathered in the distance and rain started to pour down. Soon, the spreading fire completely disappeared. However, that wasn''t the end of it. The burnt trees, small plants, and cindered leaves started to regrow until they were all a bright green and brown color. With a flip of his hand, the old man casually washed out the wildfire and even restored the forest to what it once was. Adrian couldn''t help, but sigh in envy. Even with all the cheats he have, to be able to do something like this were way beyond his abilities. Nonetheless, he cheered himself up by saying that he could definitely such a degree of strength in the future. After reinstating the forest, the old man waved his hand and the corpse, even the scattered parts, disappeared. Of course, they didn''t really disappeared, but instead were transported into the small pouch that he was holding. He then grabbed a hold of Adrian and then they both appeared outside the cottage. Seeing that he was back on the mountain top, Adrian couldn''t help, but screamed internally and put on a nervous expression. "Now, now, I know how you feel, but don''t try to run away again, okay? You don''t need to stay here for long. I only planned for you to stay here for 4 or 5 years." The old man waved his hand and the dragon corpse appeared again. "First, tell me about how far you you''ve reached in the Concept of Fire and Concept of Ice." Adrian didn''t feel particularly shock that the old man knew he trained in fire and ice. What did made him a little surprise was why the old man asked him what level he reached. He figured that with the old man''s experience, he could''ve just determine it the level of his concepts with a mere glance. Still, Adrian didn''t dared idle. "I''ve reached the first level in both concepts; the level of ''Burning Heat'' in the Concept of Fire and the level of ''Freezing Cold'' in the Concept of Ice. At the same time, I have reached the third stage of comprehension in them and now they are engraved in my bones and marrows." When Adrian became a Xiantian lifeform by cultivating the [Divine Asura Idol], his body was recreated by the universe and formed from fire and ice. At the same time, because of the strange natural laws of this universe, this resulted in him gaining insights to the Fire and Ice Concepts. Also, because this was a matter of reconstructing a new body, he got a bonus of these concepts being engraved in his bones, which could be described as the third level of comprehension in any concepts or laws. There were three levels in the comprehension of concepts and laws: memory-comprehension, body-comprehension, and bone-comprehension. Memory-comprehension was the first level of comprehension and the most basic. It simply referred to memorizing the laws with one''s memory. However, memories could fade through the passage of times. Even to supreme experts of the Divine Realm, this was entirely possible. The second level of comprehension was body-comprehension. When Adrian first heard of the second level, the first thing he thought of was muscle memory, which was pretty much body-comprehension. At this stage, one could reflexively use the concepts and laws as they wish and the laws will never be forgotten by them.If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. Finally, the "bone-comprehension" level represented the highest level of comprehension when understanding concepts and laws! At this level, the concepts and laws that they commanded would be engraved into their bones and marrows, forever becoming a part of them. This meant that the laws were a part of their body and they were a part of the law! Although reaching the third comprehension level was impressive, especially for someone of Adrian''s age and cultivation level, the old man only grunted. "Not bad..." He took a few moment before talking again. "Show me what move you used to defeat that red dragon." Adrian nodded and took a step back. He appeared ten meters from the old man and displayed the [Twin Lotuses of Fire and Ice]. The lotuses swarmed the old man in two different directions. He stood there as the rotating lotuses slammed into him. After a few minutes, he raised his arms and the lotuses shattered. "Not bad. These lotuses contains large amounts of fire and ice energy, but you have enough power to make 3 or 4 more sets of this technique. Alone, these lotuses could kill ordinary Revolving Core peasants and suppress Life-Destruction scrubs. However, this rotating quality of these lotuses gives it a powerful grinding ability that tears through energy so you should be able to kill stage one or stage two Life-Destruction babies easily." Although the old man was complimenting Adrian, the latter revealed a few smiles at the old man''s comment on the Revolving Core and Life-Destruction realm. Peasants? Scrubs? Babies? Old man, even if you are powerful and live long enough to be the ancestor of my ancestors'' ancestors, must you really call them so? "Although this technique isn''t bad... it''s just... why are you so stupid!?" The old man sighed as with profound disappointment. "Huh?" No matter how great he was in understanding the laws, Adrian couldn''t even comprehend the old man''s question. "I said, ''why are you so stupid?''" The old man scoff. "Most people, when learning two or so more laws, would try their best to fuse them together, or at least try to apply them together. However, your fire and ice concepts don''t have a single link! You really never thought about fusing them before?" Fusing laws? Of course Adrian wanted to fuse his fire power with ice power, but he wanted to start off learning step by step before actually fusing them. "I have thought about fusing them before, however, because they are polar to each other, it''s not easy to fuse them, so I wanted to slowly to comprehend them little by little before fusing them." "Little by little? Ain''t nobody got time to do that! Besides, because they are polar opposite they are easier to fuse together, isn''t that obvious?" The old man walked to the side of the house and picked up a large object. He hung the object on the wall and walked back in front of Adrian. The object was a large wheel with a diameter of nine feet. Half of the wheel was color black and the other half was white. "This is called the Wheel of Polarity and Harmony. What colors do you see on the wheel?" The old man asked. "I see black and white." Adrian answered. "Anything else?" The old man''s voice contained a nuance of disappointment.Adrian shook his head. "Hah... as expected. Ah well, just sit on front of this thing for a while and meditate on it. Within 24 hours, you should be able to feel your Fire Concept and Ice Concept beginning to fuse." The old man put his right pinky into his nose and started to pick it. However, the disciple was nowhere near as relax as the master. Adrian looked at the black and white wheel on the wall of the house. He heard of object that could improve cultivation or analysis of the laws, but this black and white wheel was extremely shabby looking and looks as though it was bought from an old pawn shop. Still, he silently walked over and meditate on the wheel. As he was meditating, the old man picked up the Red Crown Horned Dragon''s corpse and walked to the back of the house where intense light flicker about every so often. Under the starry night sky, all creatures stayed in quiet and so the mountain and the nearby forest descended into silence as well. ..... About a million kilometer from the mountain where old man and Adrian were, a spatial tear appeared in the sky. A black-bearded, bald-headed elder wielding a wooden staff walked out of the spatial tear and it immediately closed up. The elder looked down at the village a hundred meters below him. This village was part of a large region that had numerous rivers and lakes around, but was currently suffering from a great drought. Even magical beasts were greatly affected by this drought. The village was rather small and isolated from other villages and cities so it couldn''t gain much assistance from their neighbors. The bald elder sighed and waved his staff. Dark and stormy clouds that stretched for thousands of kilometers appeared all over the large region and covered the sky of the village. Seconds later, rain started to pour over the region. This rain greatly shocked the entire region, humans and beasts alike. The rainy clouds remained in the sky for seven days before disappearing. However, the entire region was cured from the drought.Rivers and lakes appeared in the region again and all living things in the region bowed to the sky celebrated for weeks. The elder was still standing above the village and watched as the villagers celebrated with dancing, singing, and feasting. While he stood there, small golden wisps of light were all coming towards and entering him. Some were large, while others were smaller, but all of them were at least larger than a regular golf ball. However, the elder looked as though he didn''t notice these golden wisps only silently looked at the celebration. Once the celebration was over, the old man waved his hand and a spatial tear appeared once more. He stepped into it and it disappeared once more. When the spatial tear appeared again, it was on the mountain where Adrian and the old man resided. The elder looked the boy sitting in front of a black and white wheel. He turned his gaze to the cottage and then walked to a nearby boulder where he sat and meditated on. At the same time, a small grunt came from inside the cottage.
