THE Prologue
My name is Light Thunderflame
I was a handsome young man, I was also clever and even strong, my constitution was said to be the best for practicing mixed martial arts, the trainers called it( THE PERFECT MARTIAL BODY ) , I was also good with any kinds of weapons be it a sword, a saber, a spear or any other weapon.
Everyone said that I was a genius, but not in one field, I was what you can call an all rounder.
My family was a wealthy One, My father was the owner of one of the biggest companies in France, while my mom was the daughter of the prime minister.
As a result everything that I wanted was given to me, to anyone such a life would be a dream but for me it was a Reality.
To me life was filled of happiness, I thought I would never lose such a good life, I thought maybe that happiness would always be the title of my life.
Until that night, the cursed night that changed my life from the best to the worst. He appeared that night, just like a demon who desired my despair, The man who haunted my dreams night after night.
That night, that demon killed all my family members without thinking, although he was wearing that demon mask I could still see his eyes, his eyes were expressionless
He did like he was killing some bugs, although I learned mixed martial arts and my body was powerful than most humans, but his power could only be called monstrous.
Although I knew he was much more powerful than me, I still charged at him, even though I knew I would absolutely die, I still did it, how could I bear to live after this, my family was killed, my father, my mother and my only sister, I at least wanted to die while trying to avenge them, despite knowing that I would die, I still did it.
But what happened after that was a mystery that I couldn''t solve for the whole two years after that cursed night.
He actually avoided me while mumbling something, although I still remembered what he said, I couldn''t think about it, that night left a mental trauma in my head to the extent that I would get a painful headache.
After that night my family''s mother took care of me, although life there wasn''t as good as my life before it was still acceptable, but I dropped from school and studied in my home, my face became dark after that my daily life was always in my room, I only studied, I would eat some of the lunch, but I became a bit skinny because I only ate little food.
But the worse had yet to come, after the accident by half a year, the French Revolution started and life in France became hell, I was kicked out of the house as my mother''s family saw me like a burden, especially that they was in a danger during this revolution as they were a political family.
Some would think that it was very easy for me to go to my father''s family, but actually it was the opposite, my father''s company had been taken over by my father''s older brother, he always coveted my father''s position, so the death of my father was one of the happiest days in his life, so as a result he abandoned me and stopped everyone else on the family from helping me.
But he had a daughter, she was my childhood friend and also my cousin, so when she saw my problem she tried helping me, although her father didn''t like me, she was his beloved daughter so he could only limit her help, in the end I was able to receive some money that helped me stay alive.
The following year and a half, I barley survived and my life was full of struggling, I always remembered that day that made my life turn upside down, I was always haunted by these memories.
I thought that I faced enough suffering in my life, until that day came when I finally realized the true meaning of suffering and also realized that there was still a sliver of hope.

Chapter 1- Death Cube
WHY?!!.
I started my day again with the same question as I started remembering that day, my nightmare that haunted me every night, but also the Reality that I faced 2 Years ago.
That cursed day, the day that changed my whole life into hell, or so I thought until I faced true hell, but that is for later.
I opened my eyes to start preparing for another day of struggling, but suddenly my vision blurred and I got a serious headache that made me faint.
When I came to I still felt pain in my head but I managed to open my eyes, I had that headache everyday I woke up as a result for seeing that nightmare, but when I opened my eyes I couldn''t help becoming startled.
At first I thought maybe I was still dreaming, but could a dream be that realistic.The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Suddenly I was in a dark room with one candle in front of me, while I was trying to organize my thoughts and think what this place was supposed to be, when I suddenly heard a voice.
[Ah, you woke up¡]
"Who are you?!, who said that "
[Oi, oi, don''t act so frightened]
I heard the same voice again that gave me Goosebumps, I wasn''t afraid because someone talked to me, what frightened me the most was that there was no one else in this dark room except for me, then I heard the voice again.

When I heard the name of this dimension I could already predict that this wasn''t a good place, honestly how could a place which has death in its name could be a good place but despite that I asked the voice about the conditions.
"So what are these conditions?"
[Well, to those who come to this dimension this place can be called hell, but this place can be called their last hope]
[This place is where the people who aren¡¯t accepted in their society because they committed extreme crimes or the people who are completely abandoned are transferred to; here you only have two choices, the first is to rot in your place and the second is to hang to your last hope and climb out of the place after rebuilding you strength and your soul]
"Although my life wasn''t good in the last two years but I don''t think that I had reached these conditions"

"And what is this condition supposed to be?"

Although if felt that, this soul was arrogant but at least I have some sort of a guide that can provide me with information about this place which I need the most right now.
"So can you tell me about this dimension''s system?"

[First, all the people who come here have to pass a trial first which begins with the dungeon that you are currently in, it consists of 100 floors with each floor having a different difficulty that the other floors, some floors have floor masters which are more powerful than regular monsters but at the end of the dungeon there is something more terrifying but that is for later]
"Is that''s all?"
[There is still the power system of this dimension, here there is something called the leveling system you get more powerful by killing monsters and gaining experience, you can see how far your growth is by checking your stats, now you are in the floor number 0, currently you are in the rest room in this floor when you get out you will find monsters that you need to fight to proceed to the next floor and become stronger]
After hearing all of this, a lot of questions began to pop in my head, well, first let''s ask about the stats.

With my stats checked, I asked the next question about this dungeon.

I looked beside myself and realized that there was a chest there, what surprised me was that I didn''t notice it till now, I opened the chest then suddenly I heard a strange voice.

The weapon that I was the most proficient with was the spear, although I was although proficient with all kinds of weapons but the spear was always my favourite, if you asked me why, I would say that it was a weapon that can dominate the field.
With the spear in my hand I started to get confident and I asked about the next step.
[At first you have to know something, currently you are in a special dungeon so it will be more difficult but the rewards will also be more satisfying and you will grow to be much stronger, of course that is if you lived through it, frankly speaking 95% of the people who come to special dungeons die in the very beginning, by the way you can call me black]
I thought about what black said but in the end I have no other choices, I only have one choice which is to charge forward.
I started swinging my spear to familiarize my self with the spear once more then I heard the sound again.

I think the level was high because of my past experience, then, I started walking towards the door.

Chapter 2 - (the 0 floor) – The first fight and a strange manual

After training with my spear for a while I started heading towards the door, it was my first real fight so I was somewhat scared but I tried my best to keep my composer, from what Black told me that was a fight which I couldn''t lose because losing here only means death, so I couldn''t afford to lose my concentration.
The door had a small dragon mark, as I couldn''t find anyway to open the door I touched that mark, then suddenly, the eyes of the dragon shined with red light and the stone door started to open.

As if Black could tell I didn''t understand what that meant he started explaining.
[This is considered a special dungeon so the 0 floor here is different than other dungeons, it is a tough exam for a first fight but the rewards that you will receive here will be useful for clearing the higher floors](Black)
After Black explained the system message, I stared to check this place, it looked similar to the rest room but black fog was filling this floor.
Suddenly, the black fog was sucked into the center of the room, then a figure started to appear from the fog, my eyes widened in surprise, that figure looked just like me the only comparison was that he was black was red eyes, you can say that he was just like a shadow of me.
"You are the weakling that is going to fight me?"(???)
"Who are you supposed to be?"(Light)
"I am your opponent, you can call me Dark"
So I have to beat my shadow to go on, this looks like a tough trial, I started the fight by swinging my spear at him but what happened made me more surprised, he used a movement technique that I was familiar with, this was my favourite technique that I learned in the past, it was called ''shadow steps''.
"Are you surprised that I am using the technique that you stopped using?"(Dark)
The shadow said that while laughing, yes that was right, after this technique was hard to use, even I who was a martial genius couldn''t use it this well, he was using it on par with my trainer who had practiced this technique for ten years, I gave up on learning it on the past because it was hard to train, so to see my shadow using it easily as I f he was just walking made me frustrated.
I tried attacking him several times but he still avoided it easily.
Then a black spear started forming in his hand as he walked towards me.
Then, he started attacking; I was alarmed as he suddenly appeared in front of me and started swinging his spear at me, fortunately his spearmanship was on par was me, so I could defeat him with some effort or so I thought.
I soon found that I was mistaking, our strength was on par with each other put his speed was boosted by the movement technique, soon I was pushed back, I was getting wounded by the second and then he punched my abdomen while laughing.

I got angry and tried to land an attack but he punched me again, without noticing I became like a bunching bag for the shadow, I started feeling that my vision was becoming hazy and it looked like I was about to faint soon.
''Am I going to die just like this, at the start of the road to my revenge even after all of my words about taking revenge by my own hands?'' I started thinking as I felt that death was near

After receiving this skill I felt a sudden surge of power in my body, by the time I looked at the shadow he was about to pierce my heart with his spear, then, I avoided it, I started attacking him and the tables were turned around I began pushing him bak instead.
"Why? I was about to kill you and take over your body, why are you responding now"(Dark)
I had a time limit to kill him before returning to my exhausted state so I couldn''t afford to spend my time chatting with him, although I was overpowering him but that was it, I couldn''t find openings to land a killing blow.
I was getting more frustrated by the second but then I realized something, this shadow had the same weak points as me.
The battle changer after that and it became one sided, I started injuring him more heavily while defending, the battle lasted for about half an hour, at last my spear penetrated his heart.
"No, I wasn''t supposed to die here; you are the one who was supposed to DIE"
The shadow said as he laughed manically and vomited a mouthful of blood.
"Sorry, but I still have to take my revenge, so I can''t afford to die here"(Light)

As the duration of the innate skill just ended I started feeling exhausted but not to the point of not moving, so after resting for five minutes I went to see what the shadow dropped.
There was a an ancient looking book and beside it was a small ball that looked like a pearl, I checked the book first.

Then I put the core in my mouth without hesitation and I followed the manual''s directions to lead the power of the core through my whole body to temper it, suddenly, I felt intense pain in my whole body, I grit my teeth trying to withstand it. Fortunately that torture ended in a minute, I didn''t want to think how much the pain would be if it was a monster''s core

After absorbing the core, I started allocating the stat points, I put 2 at strength and put 1 at constitution, agility and endurance, I didn''t put any at mana or magic because I currently didn''t have any use for them, then, I put the skill point at my innate skill because it was a life saving skill.

Chapter 3 – Fighting lizardmen and creating a new spear skill
Chapter 3 ¨C Fighting lizardmen
There was something like a weird platform in the shape of a circle in the 0 floor, Black told me that it was something called a ''transportation circle'' that can transport me into the next floor, it also had the same weird dragon mark that was in the door to the 0 floor.
I stood in the teleportation circle and suddenly I felt a strange wave that gave me a warm feeling, as I wanted to concentrate before the next fight I didn''t give it much thought, I hadn''t any thing for a whole day and a night so I was wishing that the monster''s meat would be delicious, as for water there was a small lake inside the rest room so the problem of getting thirsty was solved.
Soon, I appeared in the first floor, I saw some strange looking monsters, they looked like crocodiles but they were in a humanoid shape, they had a variety of weapons and a strange panel appeared above their heads indicating their levels.

As I could see their levels, I realized that their levels were higher than mine, but as I received some extra stats point from absorbing the core and from the title''s effect I was confident I could deal with them, most of them were just soldiers but there were a few commanders between them, thinking that I wanted to finish the fight soon so that I can eat, I charged at them.
" #*^y#jn* ", one of the commanders said something in an unknown language, after which the lizardmen swarmed at me and the fight started.
"This is getting hard"
I could easily kill the first soldier but after that it started getting harder as their numbers were big, thinking that I was quite foolish for charging without thinking, I had to find a way to get out of the swarm to think of a way to counter attack this group.
I had to make a gamble with my life at stake; I could see the rest area of this floor near me and there was a lizardman commander in front of me so as I could see that the soldiers were moving by the commander''s orders, I thought that if I killed the commander, it would cause confusion between the soldiers which would give me a chance to escape.
"Undying will", I shouted

I picked up a spear that was used by a dead lizardman and I charged toward the commander with all my might.

After killing the commander, the soldiers were a bit confused, so I took the chance to dash towards the rest area while holding the corpse of the lizard man commander.
When I managed to get there, I entered the area but before the room closed, two lizard men soldiers entered so I fought them and barely managed to kill them just before the duration of the skill ended.
I lied at the ground while feeling exhausted as I started to think about what to do, I had to think about some kind of a strategy to pull this off as I couldn''t just cower in here for the rest of my life.This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
While thinking about this, I started dismantling the corpse of the lizardmen using a way that Black taught me, after I finished I took a peace of meat and put it in my mouth, the taste was quite horrible as I had to eat raw meat without cooking it because there was no fire that I could.
But then I felt the same sensation I felt while being teleported to the second floor, after giving it some thought I asked Black about it.
[What you felt is something called ''Mana'', it is a power that can help you performing magical spells or it can enhance your physical attack, eating the meat of monsters could help replenish your mana but as you don''t have any skill that uses mana you felt that sensation because of the excess mana that your body couldn''t take]
Wait..., let''s leave the strange magical spells for now but what if I used mana to enhance my physical attack, it maybe the way to get out of this situation.
I tried testing this somehow by gathering my mana around my spear and then I attacked a rock that was in the rest area.
What?!, the rock was shattered to small pieces, I could tell that my attack power was amplified at least twice but I felt the mana consumption in my body.
After I tested the attack, I found a way to solve the problem of mana consumption by placing the blood of the lizardmen in a container that I made from their tough skin, although I didn''t like drinking blood but it was the only efficient way for now.
I also found a core in the lizardman commander''s heart but there weren''t any inside the regular soldiers, I realized that not all the monsters had cores, although I thought about absorbing it but I gave up the idea for now, I wanted to gather all the cores from them before absorbing them later while using ''Undying will'' to limit the pain for now.
When I walked out of the rest area, the lizardmen were quite surprised but they charged at me following their commanders orders.
I used ''Shadow steps'' to avoid them, then I dashed towards the commanders, dealing with an unorganized army was much better.

I started to kill the commanders with my spear which was strengthened by mana, as they fell one after one the lizardmen became more unorganized by the second.
Then after killing the last commander, I heard the sweet vice of leveling up

I quickly put 3 points in strength and 2 in agility, then I started killing the soldiers, it was still a put harder to fight them even while using mana, then a good idea came to my mind, I drank some blood and I started spinning my spear while gathering most of my mana to create a mini sized mana spiral and directed it towards the lizard men.
Most of them died by that move and I drank more blood to replenish my mana.

After killing all the lizard men, a huge sized one appeared.

He swung his huge longsword at me but I avoided it using ''Shadow steps'' and we started attacking each others but suddenly I realized that there was another lizardman who tried to do sneak attack.
So in order to end it faster, I used ''Whirlwind spear'' which killed the soldier while the general was able to avoid a part of it but he was gravely wounded as such the battle didn''t take much before it ended.

This time I put 2 points in strength, 1 in endurance, 1 in constitution and I put the last point in agility.
This time I decided to put the skill point to level up spear mastery as I wanted to know what would happen if it reached lv 10.

Chapter 4- taming a Monarch as a subordinate

I headed towards the pile of corpses to search for the cores as the battle had already ended so I decided to collect them and absorb them before looking for useful weapons, I realized that H had to make use of the ''Core absorption'' ability to make for the level gap.
After searching the bloody corpses, I collected about 6 cores from the lizardman commanders including the one I got at the beginning and then I activated my innate ability.

I put the 6 cores all in my mouth as I used the ''Core absorption'' ability and I felt the power circulating inside my body.

It just happened like that and I gained stats that were comparable to leveling up once, it could be said that this special ability was one of the reasons for my survival as I couldn''t imagine how hard fighting would have been without this ability.
But I also came to realize that it isn''t this easy as absorbing 6 cores only gave me this much stats which was incomparable with the effect of the first demon core, it can be said that as my body gets more strengthened through level ups and absorbing cores, low monsters'' cores become less effective.

Engaging in a battle such as this was hard even while using ''Shadow steps'' all I could do was to barely avoid its attacks.

After that I walked into the ally and equipped my full set with the dragon mask and then I started asking people for directions till I reached the Merchants'' Guild.

That Receptionist said it sarcastically as she looked to be annoyed, so I just did what she said and I started to pour most of the monsters and beasts that I dismantled
On the counter as half room was filled with them.
The Receptionist looked in surprise, then she started apologizing, at first I thought she was just doing so in order not to anger me but she looked quite honest with her apology so maybe she had some circumstances that made her grumpy earlier.
After that she started collecting them wholeheartedly and calculated the price for them then she gave me a huge bag filled with coins.
"The whole price is about 213,659 Gold coins"
I asked her to tell me about the currency system saying that I was from a far away country, then after she explained to me it seemed like that money was even enough for a regular man to live without worrying about money for the rest of his life, as I heard that I shrugged my shoulders, I wasn''t really in need for money, I just wanted to get a good place to stay until tomorrow when I will go looking for someone or someplace to learn fire magic.
After that I asked about an inn, so the Receptionist who said her name was Lin told me that this place there was an inn in the building beside this Guild, then I walked out of the Guild as I waved to miss Lin and headed towards the inn.
Chapter 8 – the Fire Phoenix Guild

I walked out of the room as I yawned as I remembered what happened yesterday, after leaving the Merchant''s Guild, I walked into the inn which turned out to be owned by two sister who welcomed me warmly and then I got a comfy room, where I had my first good night of sleep since coming to this dimension.
I descended to the first floor to find something to eat before heading out; I was waiting for the moment to eat cooked food once more which became a delicacy later.
"Oh, Mr. Light come here, the breakfast is ready" (Dona)
I was greeted by Dona the elder sister as she was handing out the breakfast; my nose was greeted by the fragrant smell of chicken stew which was accompanied by white bread, I couldn''t help my self but have an expression of happiness as I put the spoon in my mouth, usually two years in the past something like that would be just garbage food as I was able to taste all kinds of delicacies but currently this chicken stew was a delicacy its self.
"Big brother Light, you don''t have this kind of food in your country?" (Talya)
As Talya the younger sister saw my happy expression she asked while having an expression of curiosity.
"no it is not that, it is just that I was traveling for a long time without having anything to eat but dried rations" (Light) , I said as I laughed at her deduction.
After having breakfast I said goodbye to the sisters as I headed once again to the Merchant''s Guild, when I entered I was greeted by Miss Lin as I waved at her.
"Miss Lin I have an important question to ask?" (Light)
"How can I help you MR. Light?" (Lin)
"Do you know where can I go to learn Fire magic?" (Light)
"There are several places that you can go to but the best place for learning fire magic is the ''Fire Phoenix'' Guild" (Lin)

Lin started to gave me the location of the Guild and how to get to there but after that she gave me a warning.
"You have to be careful as they don''t accept any one they only accept powerful people and if you aren''t up for the challenge you can get gravely wounded which would affect you future so thick carefully before going there" (Lin)
"Thanks for the advice, so how much will be the fee for these information?" (Light)

After trying to convince her to take the money to no avail, I walked out of the Guild, as I moved I walked into a dark ally once more and equipped my set and mask as I decided to hide my identity when going to the guild or whatever and I decided to use the name of Dark which is my name''s opposite and also the name of my first real opponent.This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
After walking for sometime I arrived in front of the Guild as I saw a large queue which started from inside the guild to the end of the street, I asked around about the reason for the long queue and then I understood the situation, it turned out that the Fire Phoenix Guild only open its doors for recruitments for one week every year so all the people with the fire attribute come to the recruitment with the hope to be accepted by the Guild to obtain fame and money.
I stood in the queue as I took a small token which had a number written on it (98), from that I could realize that it was going to be a long night.
After waiting for sometime, I remembered that there was something that I wanted to check, the Aura cultivation manual that I received after obtaining my class sounded quite useful so now that I had time I started reading it.
Time passed at a fast pace as I was immersed in reading and trying to apply the methods in the manual which started by gathering the Mana around me then compressing it into small balls of light then convert it into Aura which was the last step of the first method.

Without realizing how much time passed, I heard my number being called out so I walked to the Guild and I saw a familiar face, it was Jack now that I think about it back then their robes indicated that they were from the Fire Phoenix Guild, it''s just that I didn''t know about this Guild at that time.
As I was wearing my mask that covered most of my face, Jack didn''t recognize me as he took my information and written them in the application paper then I entered the first stage of the exam, a man with a long beard was holding a crystal ball as he ordered me to put my hand on the crystal ball.
As I put my hand on the crystal ball, the ball shined brightly in a red blackish color, the old man was stunned as he called the other magicians.
"How could his Mana be this thick and its color is strange, how could there be such a fire"

Then suddenly profound looking old man stroked his beard stopped the other magicians from arguing.

After he talked a middle aged magician bowed to him as he showed me the way to a training ground where several young magicians were sparing.

As I entered the training Ground, I saw several fire spells being launched, as soon as I saw them they were stored in my brain as if I trained using these spells for at least three years, only then did I truly understand the true importance of the Crimson Dragons blood and the huge benefit I gained from evolving to a half-Dragon species.
A minute after, an arrogant and handsome looking young man that looked to be of close age to me and a crowded group were following him.
"You are the new talented recruit, right?"
He said that with a face filled with sarcasm, then he continued with his arrogant way of talking.
"Since you have to pass the sparing exam, what about this, I will be your sparing partner"
The crowd around him started talking out loudly.
"The second rank at the Phoenix ranking is having a fight!"
"The fire swordmage Kai is having a fight!; we have to watch this fight"

After that the magician approved after hearing that there was a handicap, it looked like that Kai was some hot figure in the Guild.
Well, whatever, I also wanted to fight someone to try the new Fire spells that I learned, so I will have him accompany me for a training session.
As I laughed in my mind, I stood at the sparing stage as Kai stood in front of me.
And that was how my battle with the famous fire swordmage started.

Smirking under my mask, I started avoiding Kai''s attacks; he was using a strange kind of magic to apply fire into his longsword but with me using ''shadow steps'' at lv 5 and considering my agility points, there was no hope for his attacks to make contact.

Then the crowd around us started to argue,

"Even if he is very fast, he won''t stand a chance against the swordmage"
As if he understood that direct contact was impossible, he chanted a large fire spell but unfortunately for him all that fire was just like hot air for me, when I walked out from the fire storm unscathed, he finally started to realize his standing in this battle.
"How could you avoid this, you must be cheating somehow" (Kai)
"Is this your best excuse, this battle looks like it will take too long if I just avoided you son I think it''s my turn to attack" (Light)
After that I used the same skill that he used with my spear as I got it out from the ring but I used my true fire for this so the spear shined in a red bluish color as I attacked him.
As soon as the spear hit his sword, the sword started to tremble, thinking about it I raised my Aura to the limits while applying the fire storm magic, the sword then shattered into pieces and Kai was thrown back and his eyes rolled back as he fainted.

With this the crowd started to swarm towards Kai while I thanked him in my mind as it was thanks to his battle that I learned two useful skill that would boost my attack power greatly.

"The swordmage is supposed to be the second ranker, does that mean that this guy is going to be the new second ranker"
After that the instructor came to me with an astonished face.

After saying that, he led me to a spacious room which was on the floor straight beneath the highest floor, beside this room there were two other rooms each one having a number above its door but the instructor suddenly changed the number on the room with number 2 as he put that number above my own room as he done all this using magic I was astonished realizing that magic truly was mysterious.
Before entering my room I noticed someone coming out of the room which had number 1 above it, as I looked I saw the cold icy beauty that I encountered that day with Jack, soon I realized that she was the number 1 genius ranker that had a variant true fire, as if she realized my gaze she gave me a cold glance as she left the floor, shrugging my shoulders I entered my own room.

Realizing that his level had gone up, his stats got increased by a good margin while gaining a new skill and a new title, I asked Black while being confused.

Hearing that I patted Venom on the head as we got ready to enter the next floor, we got on the teleportation circle to reach there.
The monster of this floor seemed to be draconians from different spieces such as Wolfs, Orcs even bears and their levels varied between lv 20~25 but fighting them wasn''t hard.
At the spur of the moment we ended up clearing two floors in two days while I leveled up four times and Venom leveled twice, as I my body had started to stabilize I had no problem with absorbing cores so I divided the cores between me and Venom and absorbed them while distributing the stats points I gained after a quick recovery I teleported to my room to have a good night of sleep as I checked my stats before sleeping.

After waking up I headed to the inn to have some breakfast after taking of my mask and set secretly, I had a delicious meal while chatting with the sisters.
After finishing my breakfast I returned to the Fire Phoenix guild''s head quarters to report to the Guild master, as I entered I heard the people talking about me while whispering thanks to my heightened senses.
"The ''Blue Spear Demon'' has came, it looks like he will be joining our Guild officially today"
It looks like they gave me a new nickname but I didn''t mind it if it would scare arrogant people like that swordmage guy away, paying them no head I walked to the Guild master''s room.

As I entered the room after knocking, I was greeted by the profound old man it turned out that he was the Guild master, which came to be pretty obvious after remembering how the other senior magicians treated him in respect.

He handed me a rope just like every one was wearing and a small token which had a phoenix engraved in it and number 2 was written in it, as I inspected the robe it turned out that it had an effect of amplifying fire damage by 5% while increasing fire damage resistance by 5%, as for token it didn''t have any special effect whih made me a bit confused but as if he could understand my confusion, the Guild master suddenly spoke.
"This is called the fire phoenix token which is given to the top 100 on the Phoenix ranking which allows you to enter any facility inside the Guild such as the Phoenix library and the weapons hall and so on for free which usually requires contribution points but as for taking something from inside you would have to pay contribution points for it just like the other junior magicians"
After hearing the explanation my eyes lit up and I bowed to the Guild master as I left the room in a hurry as I wanted to check the library to see if there was any rare magic which would be useful for me.
As I reached the Phoenix library there were a pair of sinister eyes which I didn''t realize, "I will get you Dark, you will pay for the humiliation you caused me" (???)
I entered the library without realizing whatever happened behind my back as I started checking the books but after two hours I started to get disappointed as I didn''t find any special magic or something of that sort.

[The Death dimension which was also named as Death cube started with two powers as a base for its beginning, which were Mana and Aura, Aura had most power while being the hardest the use with only a few people capable of that but Mana had less power than Aura while being easy to use as 99% of the people were able to use it, so after several hundred years Aura users became distinct and Aura was forgotten and erased from the world.
Then, once, a powerful spear fighter who received an inheritance from an old Aura user made a theory which proved that Aura wasn''t erased and that it was just transformed into Mana as they were created together, so using this theory he believed that Mana could be also be converted to Aura once again on the same basis.
Usually most of the people believed that it was impossible to do it while others didn''t even believe in the existence of Aura, they thought that the inheritance that he had were just fake garbage.
But he did it; he converted Mana into Aura for the first time in the whole dimension but to do so he used 100 years of his live, as he realized that his time was near he took three disciples and taught them the principles about Aura and how to convert Mana into Aura and so on.
I was one of these disciples but I was also different from them, they were fighting geniuses while I was a magician so I was usually met with ridicule from the other people but my master still taught me like them without a bit of ridicule.
In the end, master passed away and all of his inheritances disappeared mysteriously and we, the three disciples got separated, every one of us seeking a path of his own.
As for me I started researching about how to strengthen magic using Aura as a basis instead of Mana, in the end I finished the research after years of effort but I couldn''t find suitable disciple so I wrote such books separated by attributes of magic in how to use Aura magic.

After walking for some time I arrived at a hall with a name engraved on the door, ''Flame weapons hall'', but as I entered I saw that most of the weapons were all magic staffs and there were a few swords with less accessories which didn''t have any Mana options but just as I was going to leave, I saw a spear which was leaning against the walls so I checked it.

After returning, I started thinking about what to do, currently I had a good spear but it couldn''t use Aura while the other spear lost durability from applying fire to it.
Suddenly, a thought flashed in my mind, what if I could fuse the two spears, thinking about it I decided to give this idea a try as I remembered that the Aura spear from the set could grow using Aura Items, Although it wasn''t an Aura item, I had a way in mind to change that temporarily till the fusion happens.
But to make it more secretly, I decided to do it inside the dungeon, I teleported to the dungeon and prepared for the experiment.
I took out the two spears then I cut my finger and dropped some blood on the Aura spear then I engulfed the two spears in Aura as I exhausted my Aura to the limits and then suddenly the two spears hit each other while releasing Crimson light as they floated and only one spear fell to the ground.

Seeing that the experiment was a success, I lied on the ground while thinking about the process that made it succeed, using the fact that the Crimson Spear resonated with the Crimson Dragon''s blood I used my own blood which was consisting of 50% Crimson Dragon blood while also using Aura on both spears so that the Aura spear would resonate with the Crimson spear and with this I could bull it of.
After getting exhausted, I returned to my room as I went out to have a quick meal and returning to have a good night of sleep.

For the next three weeks my daily schedule contained of Aura Cultivating, studying the Fire Aura Book and going to the Dungeon while also training in the Guild.
I was getting ready to go to the expedition of the Ancient ruin in one week so I had to give it my all as such I broke through to the 19th floor as I was getting ready to head to the 20th floor.
I leveled up six times while venom leveled up thrice, the rewards I got from clearing the floors were all Aura Gears which I absorbed by my ''Aura Wielder'' set, as such the effects of the set got much better.

The 20th floor had ice attributed monster so I saved my Aura and broke through with brute strength, I wanted to save it for the fight with the boss monster since the ice attribute would be good for defense against my fire.
The Boss of the floor appeared in the end after I cleared all the icy monsters, he looked like a big white eagle and the air around him was so icy.

I avoided so that i would exhaust the Griffin''s Mana but after half an hour my stamina was getting bad while his Mana seemed endless so I decided to go on the offense.
Using the ''Fire storm'' magic seemed useless against the icy air surrounding him, it seemed that the fight would only get longer which means I would lose but an idea came to my mind and I shouted, "Crimson Spear"
My spear was engulfed by True Fire and it shone in Blue light, I tested my idea by stabbing my spear at one of the ice crystals, in a second the crystal evaporated as if it wasn''t there to begin with.
As such my idea was right True Fire isn''t affected by regular ice it had to be something on bar with a true Fire so with this it should work.
Thinking about the best way to do this I invested two skill points in the ''Crimson Spear'' to raise its effect.

The judge announced the start of the battle, the battle was dull as ever and I was bored to hell but as I was just about to finish the battle, I fell to the Ground.
As I was lying in the ground, Kai was smiling as he walked towards me to finish me of; suddenly a loud laughter was heard in the whole stage.
Yes, it was me, I was laughing at how simple his mind was, as Venom''s small head got out and he sucked a strange matter out of my blood and put it in a small bottle.
"What is that snake?!"
"What happened just now?"
The crowd started making a ruckus as I stood up after Venom returned to the space ring as I started walking towards Kai.
"How¡ how could this be¡, I was sure about doing ¡!!" (Kai)
"You think that just small tricks like poison could help you" (Light)
"What are you talking about?!¡" (Kai)
Cold sweat started to appear on Kai''s face and he tried to get away from me as I took out a small container that has a black liquid and held him from his neck while he tried to get out of my grip as he looked in fear at the bottle but then I stopped as I threw him out of the stage and walked towards the judge.

Then I walked to the seats once more after securing my rank as I grinned at Kai but just before I could rest it happened again.

As the judge announced the start of the second battle, I decided to try a new Aura spell that I learned as to create objects using fire Aura as a spear made of fire materialized in my hands, on the other hand Floria held her staff as fire arrows appeared around her.
Endless fire arrows were launched at me as I avoided some while defending against some using my fire spear but just before I could realize it, a rain of fire arrows fell from above.
Although I managed to avoid some of the arrows some arrows pierced my arm, but before they could do any damage I used the second method in the Aura cultivation manual, which could covert magical attacks into Aura and soon enough the Fire arrows disappeared as they replenished my Aura.
"Looks like you have some good tricks, then I would have to use my trump card soon" (Floria)
As I looked at her, I realized her icy gaze has melted to a joyous smile as the battle continued I used the spells that I learned from the book one by one, it could be said that I gained joy in this fight but soon both of us had reached a critical condition so the fight had to end soon.
Suddenly a large fire staff that had the same color of the sun appeared in the hands of Floria ¡that was a true fire, I asked black about it.

While we were having a heartwarming chat, the crowd who were watching the fight was astonished as they couldn''t comprehend what just happened but finally they seemed to realize that the fight had ended as the judge announced the results.

As the shouts of excitement and praise sounded in the crowd, the tournament officially came to a close.
After that I went to my room which now had a different number as well as received a new command token.

Arriving at the restaurant, I told her to order what she wanted but only then did I realize that she was a glutton just like me as such we only got back to our rooms back at night as lunch turned out to a become an eating contest.

Two days passed in a flash and soon the date for the expedition grew near by, Kai got expelled soon after the poison was revealed which turned out to be a crippling poison, those who consume it would collapse and only wake up after an hour without being able to move their limps for the rest of their lives.
With the severity of the poison, he got easily expelled and that was how I got read of the bugger.
The members of the expedition soon got ready as today was the day we would start traveling, I got out of my room clad in my Aura set as I walked full of confidence as I pledged to receive the inheritance of the ''Aura Magician''.
