《The Royal Magister》


 Chapter One- Im Home

    ¡°Hey kid, move over,¡± I heard a male voice, followed by a thud. I turned my head where it had been laying on a table to see a red headed boy sitting down on the seat next to me with a scrawny kid on the floor.


    He had stolen the kid¡¯s seat so that he could talk with his friends about a hot model on a magazine his friend brought.


    ¡°Hey Tamaki,¡± I called out to the red haired kid, ¡°I don¡¯t think that seats yours.¡±


    He turned to face me, ¡°So what? He isn¡¯t saying anything,¡± He turned to the kid with a threatening glare, ¡°Are you?¡±


    ¡°N-n-no,¡± the kid scrambled to his feet and ran out of the room.


    Seeing him run off, I sighed before laying my head back down.


    ¡°Heh,¡± Tamaki gave a short a short laugh before turning back to his friends.


    Honestly, why does no one have any back bone these days?


    I soon began to doze off. After a few minutes, I had almost fallen asleep when the classroom door was slammed open. All the chatter in the classroom stopped. Then, I heard footsteps coming my way.


    Oh, boy. Here we go again.


    ¡°Get up Kira. I know you¡¯re not sleeping yet,¡± A girl said.


    I looked up to see a beautiful blonde haired girl standing next to my desk with her hands on her hips.


    ¡°Hey Mia. What does the high school belles want with me?¡±


    She frowned when I said this, ¡°You promised to meet me at the mall yesterday but you never showed up! You didn¡¯t even pick up your phone and I ended up waiting two hours! Two!¡±


    I put my head back down as she continued to rant on and on.


    ¡°Hey Kira, are you listening?!¡±


    ¡°Look, Mia, ¡°I spoke without looking up, ¡°I never promised you anything. You¡¯re the one who kept telling me to meet you there while I said I¡¯m going to be busy.¡±


    ¡°You always say you¡¯re busy¡± Mia replied, ¡°I asked you every single day for the past month, but you always refuse me! What is it that you don¡¯t like about me?¡±


    I groaned, ¡°Mia. We¡¯re in our junior years in high school. Shouldn¡¯t you be busy with, you know, studying and stuff? And besides, why are you so focused on me. I think that we barely pass as friends considering that the only thing we have related is studying in the same class for the past month.¡±


    ¡°I¡¯ve told you already. It¡¯s love at first sight.¡±


    ¡°It¡¯s just a temporary feeling. It¡¯ll wear off.¡±


    Mia continued to talking, trying to get me to promise to meet her somewhere after class, but I simply ignored her and tried to doze off again.


    ¡°Class is starting. Take your seats.¡±


    No~. My nap time was wasted by Mia.


    I slowly sat up and saw Akane sensei standing at the front of the room. As usual she had her hair tied in a ponytail and was wearing a tight black suit that accentuated her voluptuous hourglass figure. Contrary to her strict appearance, she was known to be one of the friendliest teachers on campus and was extremely popular. Especially amongst the males teacher and students.


    ¡°Next time I¡¯ll get him to-,¡± I heard Mia mumble before she walked away.


    I wryly shook my head as I watched her take her seat in the front of the class. I honestly couldn¡¯t figure out why she was so attached to me after just one meeting. As far as I knew, she was rated as one of the top belle in our school and was rich to boot, and all I am is a regular high school student who was living alone while having to work to pay for my bills.


    ¡°Kira? Is Kira Takamoto here?¡± I snapped to reality as Akane sensei called my name.


    ¡°Here,¡± I raised my hand.


    Akane sensei looked my way and smiled, ¡°Good to know you¡¯re in class. I just hope your mind can stay here to.¡±


    There was a short laughter before she called the next person for attendance.


    Bored, I stared out the window. There were already some students running laps outside. As I continued to stare outside, everything suddenly turned pitch black.


    ¡°What?!¡±


    ¡°Woah!¡±


    ¡°Huh?¡±


    The class panicked as I heard the sound of chairs and tables scraping on the floor. After a few second, the ground heavily shook, making me lose my balance and fall to the floor.


    As I dived under the table, I noticed a strange feeling.


    This is. No, it can¡¯t be. That¡¯s impossible.


    I frowned as I felt something that shouldn¡¯t exist in this world. Something that I had thought I would never sense again after reincarnating into this world.


    It¡¯s mana. But how? . . . Is this a summoning? But who would have the power do summon from another manaless world? And why would they?


    As I tried to figure out what was happening, a bright flash from outside blinded me.


    When the light dimmed back down, it was still dark, but not pitch black like before. When I looked up at the windows from underneath the desk, I froze.


    Outside, glowing in the night sky, were two moons, one blue and one red.


    ¡°Ellaina and Rylaia,¡± I whispered,


    I rushed to the windows to get a good look. Outside, I was able to see the fences that bordered the school, and past that, a large clearing of dirt. In the distant, under the moonlight, I was barely able to make out a dark line that I guessed to be a forest.


    I sensed several people walking towards the window.


    Mana sensing. So my powers are back.


    ¡°This. Where are we?¡± a male student asked.


    ¡°Lyria,¡± I absentmindedly replied.


    ¡°But, but we were just in Tokyo. And where the hell is Lyria? In Europe?¡± Another student asked.


    Mia shakily found her way to me and clung to my arm, ¡°Kira, what just happened?¡±


    I grabbed a chair and sat her down, ¡°I¡¯m not exactly sure. But I think we¡¯re in another world.¡±


    ¡°What do you mean?¡± Mia looked at me with teary eyes. Several other students heard what I said and came closer to listen.


    I took a moment to gather my thoughts before speaking, ¡°Those moons out there. The blue one is called Ellaina, the red one is Rylaia.¡±


    ¡°No one gives a fuck what those moons are called,¡± Tamaki suddenly screamed at me, ¡°All we want to know is WHERE THE FUCK ARE WE?!¡±Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work!


    I glared at him, ¡°We¡¯re on the planet Lyria. Whether it¡¯s in the same universe, a parallel universe, or another world altogether, I don¡¯t know.¡±


    ¡°This has to be a prank right?¡± A shaky male voice said.


    I turned to see the scrawny kid from earlier, ¡°As far as I know, no. But we should be safe; this planet isn¡¯t anywhere close to the war zone. Well, when I was here, it wasn¡¯t.¡±


    ¡°War?¡± This time Akane sensei spoke with a trembling voice,¡± Kira, what do you mean war? And how do you know this? Did you do this?¡±


    ¡°No. I have no idea who or what did this. And by war, I mean an intergalactic war,¡± I pointed up towards the sky, ¡°In this world there are three races: the Eldra, the Raia, and the Vara. The Eldra are the same as humans. The Raia are . . . I guess I would call them the elves of this world? They look human but they¡¯re stronger, smarter, more beautiful, and have a far longer life span than us. We usually tell them apart from us using their tattoos. Keep in mind to never piss a Raia off. It will definitely not end well for you.¡±


    A female student raised her hand, so I pointed at her, ¡°What about the Vara.¡±


    ¡°The Vara,¡± I frowned, ¡°Sometimes they look like overgrown bugs. Sometimes like dragons or big wolves. They can shape shift freely to adapt to the situation. They are highly intelligent, but extremely dangerous. They view anything other than themselves as lesser than them, and will not hesitate to kill to take what they want. There is no reasoning with them, and they are near impossible to kill.¡±


    The female student raised her hand again, ¡°So the reason why you are in this galactic war is to fight off the Vara?¡±


    ¡°Correct. Not that hard to figure out right?¡±


    The whole class grew quiet. Then Tamaki out of nowhere pulls out a knife and points it at me, causing nearby students to scream and jump away, ¡°This is bullshit. There¡¯s no way that this is all real. First you¡¯re telling me we got teleported to another world, now you¡¯re saying that you know all about this world and about a war and some shit? Don¡¯t fuck with me.¡±


    I narrowed me eyes. I had figured this guy was all talk and no walk, but to pull out a knife. I was seriously starting to get pissed off at him.


    Faster than anyone could blink, I grabbed his arm that was holding the knife and squeezed. A few seconds later, Tamaki was rolling on the floor screaming with a broken arm.


    I knelt down beside him and grabbed his face so that he was forced to look at me, ¡°Look here. This is my world now. And in this world, there is only one rule. The strong makes the rule. There are no teachers who will step in to protect you. There are no consequences for the strong who step on the weak here. And here¡¯s the fact. You are weak. You are nothing. Even if I killed you now, no one would say anything. So if you don¡¯t want to end up as Vera food, I¡¯d suggest you keep your mouth shut while I explain what I can. Got it?¡±


    He did not reply, but looking at the fear in his eyes, he probably learned his lesson.


    When I stood back up, most of the students were a bit further back than I remembered except for Mia. She was looking at me like she was looking at an idol. I was honestly wondering if there was something wrong with the way her brain worked at this point.


    ¡°Alright. Next is magic.¡± Some of the student¡¯s eyes lit up.


    I held up a hand and several symbols appeared, interlacing with each other.


    ¡°In this world, you are able to manipulate mana into spells. Depending on the symbol you use and how to put them together, they create different effects. One example is the physical boost I just used to break Tamaki¡¯s arm,¡± several of them unconsciously glanced down at the still shivering boy on the floor, ¡°Anyone is able to use mana, but it takes a lot of work to even be able to start manipulating mana.¡±


    ¡°Can you teach us?¡± A student asked.


    I shook my head and replied, ¡°Not way. It takes years to be able to even begin manipulating mana. Usually you would need to learn how to do so at an academy.¡±


    ¡°Then what about her?¡± The student asked, pointing at my side.


    I turned my head and was frozen in place.


    Mia turned to meet my gaze and smiled innocently as a glowing blue mist twirled like a mini tornado between her hands.


    Yeah. There is definitely something wrong with the way her brain works. There¡¯s no way that she was able to figure out how to manipulate mana by herself in just a few moments when even geniuses take weeks under guidance.


    I face palmed as I tried to figure what to make of this strange girl that I met a month ago.


    ¡°Hey guys?¡± The scrawny student called out to us, ¡°Something¡¯s coming. And there are a lot of them.¡±


    Everyone, except for Tamaki who was whimpering on the floor, and Mia who was engrossed in her mini mana tornado, all rushed towards the window.


    Out in the horizon, I was able to make out several hundred large shapes making their way towards us with search lights.


    I activated a small spell that enhanced my vision. My vision then magnified.


    There were several flying objects that looked similar to large fighter jets rapidly closing in our position. On the sides of the planes, I was able to make out images of a Two semi overlapping circles within a larger circle. The symbols stood for the two moons and Lyria. Seeing this image, I was unable to stop a grin from surfacing on my face.


    ¡°Follow me,¡± I called out to everyone and quickly ran outside. On the way, I saw students from other classes already on the field.


    After I made my way to the front gate, I raised an arm up in the sky, and activated a spell. A large symbol appeared above my head, an image of a crescent moon surrounded by stars.


    ¡°What is that?¡± I turned my head to see that Mia was standing behind me out of breath.


    ¡°A sigil. It¡¯s kind of like a flag identifying which faction you belong to. When I lived in this world, this was mine.¡±


    ¡°So you know these people,¡± the scrawny kid had finally caught up.


    ¡°Yeah. They¡¯re from the Edrain nation. One of the largest nations that spans the world. There must have been a military outpost nearby considering how many there are and how fast they got here. They must have picked up our life readings and made their way here to check things out.¡±


    ¡°Those aircrafts seem pretty high tech for a magical world,¡± Mia commented.


    ¡°Just because we use magic doesn¡¯t mean we don¡¯t have technology. In fact, magic probably helped our technology grow even faster.¡±


    By then, the air crafts had already reached us and some were beginning to decent while other silently hovered in the air.


    From the ships that landed, hundreds of soldiers in full body black gear wielding futuristic guns rushed out and surrounded the school gate where most of the school had gathered.


    One of the black geared soldiers walked half way towards us and lifted his visors showing a middle aged man with a scar running across one eye.


    [¡°What is the identification code for the royal magister¡¯s sigil?]¡± He spoke in a language only Kira was able to understand.


    I stepped forward, ¡°[Moonlight and Stars.]


    ¡°[Withdraw weapons. The IC was correct.] The scar faced soldier had a strange expression when he checked a monitor on his wrist while the other soldiers were whispering to each other.


    ¡°[The IC states that code belongs to the royal magister himself],¡± The man had a confused look on his face, ¡°[But you look nothing like the royal magister. And it was even rumored that he had died several years ago.]


    ¡°[What? You don¡¯t like my new look captain bloodwater?]¡± I smiled as I held out a hand.


    When he heard me say that he froze before he took a huge step and gave me a bear hug, ¡°[It¡¯s been seven years comrade! And it¡¯s general now Virk.]¡±


    He held me out at arm¡¯s length and sized me up, ¡°[And hell. You look like such a scrawny kid. What happened to you? Did you undergo a DNA modifier to get a new younger look?]¡±


    ¡°[Hell no. Those surgeries take decades from your lifespan. It¡¯s just that a bunch of things happened and I ended up in this weird situation.]¡±


    ¡°[General Craz. What does this kid mean by captain bloodwater?]¡± One of the soldiers had crept close and was listening to our conversation.


    Craz looked away slightly embarrassed while I simply laughed, ¡°[Do they still have the old barrack system used in 13XXX?]¡± I asked.


    The soldier nodded.


    I grinned, [¡°Then have you seen what happens to a na?ve man when they first join the military?]¡±


    The soldier thought for a moment before he froze and busted out laughing. He ran off while yelling for his fellow soldiers, ¡°[Hey guys! Hear this out.]¡±


    Craz was putting me in a choke hold when several of my classmates walked forward, ¡°Hey Kira,¡± Mia tugged my sleeve, ¡°So what¡¯s going on.¡±


    ¡°Just met an old friend,¡± I smiled at her before turning back to Craz.


    ¡°[I need you to transport all of these people back to the city and put them under surveillance until I figure out what to do with them.]¡±


    Craz crossed his arms together, ¡°[That¡¯s a lot of paper work. And who are these guys? Most of them are pretty young and from their mana readings that we got, all of them are F-rank. They wouldn¡¯t even qualify for a worker class license.]¡±


    ¡°[Classified. But can you do this for me?]¡± I pleaded.


    ¡°[If this was a normal situation, I would say no. But since it¡¯s a royal magister¡¯s request, why the hell not.]¡± He then held his hand next to his ear and ordered out a string of commands. The soldiers who had been laughing and joking around instantly snapped to attention and moved to direct the students and teachers into the planes.


    In order to avoid misunderstandings with the language barrier between the two sides, I borrowed a speaker from Craz and announced to the students that they would be taken somewhere safe for the time being so they should follow the soldiers.


    The soldiers moved quickly and efficiently, and it took only half an hour to load up everyone from my school.


    Soon, the only one left on the ground was me, Craz, and Mia. For some reason, Mia refused to separate from me.


    Seeing that everyone else from my school had left, I turned to Craz, ¡°[Can you drop me off at my headquarters? I haven¡¯t been able to go back home in years.¡±]


    Craz awkwardly scratched his head, ¡°[Actually, can you first come to see the emperor? He was always worried sick when you suddenly disappeared. He even started growing gray hair. And Rina. Oh god Rina. ]¡± A shiver ran through his body, ¡°[Definitely meet with her. You can¡¯t imagine the hell we went through when she heard that you went missing.]¡±


    Hearing Rina¡¯s name, I frowned. I had always worried about how she would react when she found out that I disappeared, but hearing Craz, it might have been a lot worse than I thought.


    ¡°[Alright I¡¯ll go meet with them right now. And for her-]¡± I looked at Mia and as though she could sense what I was talking about, she clung to my arm, ¡°[I guess I¡¯ll need to take her with me.]¡±


    ¡°[. . . Rina¡¯s going to kill you.]¡± Craz sighed.


    ¡°[I¡¯ll be fine. There¡¯s nothing going on between me and this girl and me and Rina. I told her this hundreds of times.]¡± I shrugged.


    ¡°[She still says otherwise.]¡±


    We then boarded the last aircraft that was waiting for us. The inside was spacious with seats lined up along the side.


    Finding an empty seat next to a random soldier and closed my eyes as I thought about to the hectic day I had. Before I dozed off, I had one simple thought in my head.


    I¡¯m home.

 Chapter Two- Im home part 2

    It took roughly an hour before we arrived at the city border. Looking out of one of the windows, I was greeted by the sight of high rising buildings with holograms displaying advertisements all over the city. Even from the air I was able to see how busy the streets were below with hover cars rushing back and forth.


    ¡°Here. Give this to the girl,¡± Craz had been fiddling with an earpiece connected to a computer throughout the ride, ¡°We were able to translate most of their language pretty fast thanks to how similar it is to one of the known languages.¡±


    Taking the earpiece, I passed it Mia, ¡°Wear this. It¡¯ll translate what we¡¯re saying to some extent.¡±


    Turning back to Craz, I saw him put on a similar earpiece.


    ¡°Hey girl. Do you understand me now?¡±


    Mia nodded. Throughout the whole trip, she had been clinging to my arm, and would not let go.


    As Craz began asking Mia questions about Earth and her story on what happened, I turned back to the window to gaze at city below.


    Several minutes later, the pilot spoke through the speakers, ¡°We will be landing at Moon Palace in one minute. I repeat. We will be landing at Moon Palace in one minute.¡±


    The ship began descending towards an extremely large building that was shaped like a triangular pillar and had a glossy black exterior with several platforms sticking out the sides. It was easily the largest structure in the city.


    We soon touched down on a platform extending out of the building. After I exited the aircraft with Craz and Mia, the ship flew back into the air and left.


    There was already a hover car waiting for us. When we opened the door, Mia squealed and dived into the luxury car. Inside was smooth black seats with snacks and bottles of wine along the counter on one side of the wall.


    As the hover car floated into the building, Craz talked to me about the current situation.


    ¡°One of the soldiers already explained the situation to the emperor on the way here so his majesty knows what¡¯s going on to some extent. Also, some of the more important figures will be there too as they were already in a meeting with the emperor and wanted to stay and see if you had really returned.¡±


    I nodded, and during the few minutes it took to arrive, I quickly stripped and wore a black suit that they had prepared for me beforehand. It had my sigil stitched in gold on the right chest. As a royal magister, I had to make myself presentable in an official gathering.


    After I finished changing, I sighed turned to face Mia who had a very red face while I was changing, yet had not turned away.


    ¡°When we get to the throne room, just follow our lead. Also, make sure you stay a step behind us, and whatever you do, do not talk unless you¡¯re asked a question directly from the emperor.¡±


    She nodded to show that she understood.


    We soon arrived in front of an enormous door tens of feet long and wide. We all exited the vehicle and stood by the door, waiting to be announced in.


    ¡°General Craz of the Edrain Army, Mia, a friend of the royal magister, and Virk the royal magister himself has arrived! A soldier guarding the door announced.


    ¡°Come in,¡± an elderly voice called out and the gigantic doors slowly swung in to reveal an extremely large throne room. There were stairs on the far side of the room that led up to a throne where a middle aged man with graying hair sat. Standing on his left was a woman with heaven defying beauty. She had a flaming red hair and an exotic tattoo on the left side of her face that stretched down and disappeared within the tight black suit she was wearing. It also had my sigil stitched into it.


    ¡°Rina,¡± I could see and thought I could even feel her eyes raking over us.


    As we walked in, on either side were hundreds of people who were wearing expensive looking suits and military uniforms.


    As we walked down the middle towards the throne, I heard the people whispering.


    ¡°I heard the royal magister is back.¡±


    ¡°Really? Where? It can¡¯t possibly be that boy right?¡±


    ¡°No way, I have dozens of his ultra-rare posters that shows his real appearance and he looks nothing like that.¡±


    ¡°Do you think he got underwent a DNA modifier?¡±


    ¡°Definitely not! In an interview once, I remember that he said that he would never undergo such a surgery as he honestly did not think that simple appearances were worth the lifespan.¡±


    ¡°Then where is he. I only stayed because I heard that my idol would be here.¡±


    Ultra rare posters? I thought that I made sure that wherever I appeared, I covered me face properly. . .


    When we got to the base of the stairs the Craz and I kneeled on one knee with me motioning Mia to do the same.


    ¡°Welcome back general Craz, and you too Virk. It has been a long time.¡± The emperor said, ¡°You have changed quite in bit in the seven years you were gone.


    ¡°My apologizes for making you worry your majesty. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had been unable to return and when I had come to, I had found that my appearance had vastly changed and it was through sheer luck that I have been able to return.¡±


    ¡°You have returned. That is all that matters,¡± The emperor stood up, and addressed to the guests, ¡°Our royal magister, has returned!¡±


    The crowd went wild and cheered.


    After the crowd quieted down, I explained what had happened to me and the theory I had come up with.


    ¡°Hmm,¡± The emperor was deep in thought, ¡°So you believe that someone had tried to summon you and thanks to that, you were able to return?¡±


    ¡°Yes,¡± I nodded, ¡°However as far as I know, using a summoning magic that targets other worlds was banned was it not?¡±


    The emperor nodded, ¡°Of course. After all, that was how the Vera had come to our world several hundred years ago. Bringing creatures from another world was considered far too dangerous and risky and thereby banned by every single nation. Do you by chance have any idea who might have done it?¡±


    ¡°My best guess is that someone really wanted me back no matter the risk. However, it is most likely that they have already perished. This is not well known, but including other worlds as a target for summoning requires living sacrifices. If they did not know this, it makes sense why there was no trace of anyone strange nearby when I arrived to this world.¡±


    ¡°I see,¡± The emperor bowed his head deep in thought, ¡°And there is the matter of those people who had come with you. I already have a report on them, and it states that they are the same as us Eldra in every single way. They even have mana veins, which is surprising considering they come from a world that lacks mana. If you don¡¯t have any plans for them, I¡¯ll take them under my wings and see where they can fit in our society.¡±


    ¡°That¡¯s fine.¡±


    ¡°Then that is all for now. If there is anything else you need to report, feel free to stop by whenever you like.¡±


    I bowed and left the throne room with Mia in tow. On the way out, I saw several people trying to follow.


    ¡°Ahem!¡± The emperor coughed, ¡°As for the rest of you, I believe we have some things we needed to continue discussing.¡±


    The people who had tried to follow me all knew that there was actually nothing to talk about. The emperor just wanted to keep these people from bothering me. Knowing this, I nodded in thanks to the emperor before I left.


    We boarded the car we had taken to the throne room and soon we were flying out in the open sky with the Moon Palace behind us. In the horizon, the sun was finally rising.


    ¡°Where are we?¡± Mia asked as I stopped the car.


    The car had brought us to a large building that was several stories high.


    ¡°My home, and the headquarters of the Royal Magister Squad,¡± I punched in a code on a screen nearby, and the door opened.


    Inside, was a large white room with sofas, holographic screens, and a circular counter in the center of the room with a thick pillar rising to the ceiling inside the counter. However, it was eerily quiet as the holographic screens were playing with no sounds and there was no one to be seen.


    I looked at the TV that was showing a huge battle between giant robots and smiled.


    I then walked over to the counter and knocked on it.


    ¡°You know Nely. If you want to pretend no one¡¯s home, turn of the holoscreen before you hide.¡±


    After several moments, a small red haired head slowly inched up from behind the counter. She looked similar to Rina and had the same tattoo as well.


    I was about to say something, when she started talking first, ¡°Who the hell are you? How the fuck did you get in? I¡¯ll kill you if you try anything funny.¡±


    My smile disappeared and I frowned ¡°It¡¯s me, Virk. And who taught you to talk like that? What happened to my cute little Nely who had manners befitting of a young lady.?¡±If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it.


    She carefully looked at me up and down, ¡°The Virk I know doesn¡¯t look like a scrawny brat. Don¡¯t lie to me you bastard.¡±


    Feeling annoyed with the way she was talking I flicked her on the head, ¡°Well to bad. Virk is now a scrawny brat. And if you don¡¯t stop talking like your sister I¡¯m going to upload those pictures I took when you wet your bed as a kid.¡±


    Her face paled and she dived onto the counter to hug me, ¡°Virk! Your Virk! I¡¯m sorry! Anything but that!¡±


    She then looked up with her arms still around me, ¡°What happened to you?¡±


    I reached over and rubbed her head, ¡°What happened to YOU? You¡¯re nothing like the sweet girl that I picked up when you were just a baby with your sister.¡±


    ¡°Of course not,¡± She puffed out her chest, a very flat chest. Wait, there were small bumps. ¡°I¡¯m sixteen years old now! I¡¯ll be going to the military academy in a couple of weeks.¡±


    She tilted her head, ¡°Who¡¯s the girl? Is she another one of your living weapons?¡±


    I was about to reply when there was an explosion at the front door.


    We all turned to see Rina running out of the smoke and what remained of my front door.


    Ah crap. Here we go.


    ¡°Ouch!,¡± She tackled me to the floor and straddling me while grabbing my collar.


    ¡°Rina, stop-¡° Nely tried to stop her but when Rina turned to glare at her, she innocently looked away like she had nothing to do with what was happening.


    Damn brat. Is this how you repay me for taking you in all those years ago?


    ¡°Virk?¡± Rina turned her glare to me.


    ¡°Yes?¡±


    ¡°Clench your teeth,¡± She pulled her free arm back.


    ¡°Ah. Wait!¡± I struggled to escape, but she was too strong. The next thing I knew, everything went black.


    Luckily I was out for only a few seconds. When I opened my eyes again, I saw Mia and Nely struggling to hold back Rina.


    ¡°R-R-Rina. Let¡¯s just talk ok?¡± I dizzily scrambled to me feet and held out my hands as though my pathetic arms could hold back an angry Raia woman.


    ¡°Talk? Talk?!¡± Rina screamed, ¡°You were missing for seven years! SEVEN! I TOLD you take me with you. I TOLD you to not go alone! But did you listen? NO!¡±


    She activated a spell and the two were flung across the counter and disappeared behind it.


    ¡°Calm down!¡± I desperately dodged her swinging arms.


    Oh man. You already knocked me out once. Are you trying to seriously kill me woman?!


    Seeing Mia and Nely dizzily getting up from behind the counter, I jumped over and hid behind them. Call me a coward or whatever you want, but that woman terrifies me when she¡¯s pissed.


    ¡°Oh? Is that your new girlfriend? IS SHE?! You womanizing bastard! I¡¯ll tear her apart!¡± Rina then lunged at both of us.


    Oh crap!


    I pulled Mia and Nely out of the way, barely getting away. Then, I picked Mia up and ran through a door that lead into a series of corridors with Rina close behind and Nely behind her.


    After several minutes of being chased by the terrifying woman down twists and turns, I finally arrived in front of the door I was looking for.


    I quickly jumped inside and locked the door behind me. I ignored the pounding and screaming voice telling me to get out. Sitting down to catch my breath, I looked down to see how Mia was doing. After all, being thrown like that across the counter must have hurt if you didn¡¯t have a body like a Raia¡¯s.


    I looked down to see two eyes staring right back at me. Her face was a lot closer than I thought. Then, before I could react, she lunged forward to close the small gap and kissed me. While I was frozen in shock, she took advantage of that time to force my lips apart and went exploring with her tongue.


    When I finally snapped out of it, I shoved her off my lap, making her yelp as she fell to the floor.


    ¡°Mia . . . you.¡±


    ¡°Me what?¡± She giggled as she licked her lips.


    I touched my lips I was trying to get my head together. Mia noticed I wasn¡¯t properly focused and tried to lunge at me. Unfortunately for her, I was clear headed enough to stop her face with my hand , preventing her from getting any closer.


    ¡°Mia, stop.¡± I sighed.


    ¡°Why,¡± She slapped my hand away, ¡°You have two beautiful females in your house and I doubt I lose out to either of them. What¡¯s wrong with taking one more?¡±


    There were so many things wrong in so many different ways that I didn¡¯t even bother to reply. Honestly, she was so similar to the Raia race that . . . maybe.


    I quickly stood up and pulled her to one of the desks that was in the room.


    ¡°Eh? You want to do it on the desk instead?¡± I rolled my eyes. Some guys might have jumped on her by now, but I had no interest in taking someone who could barely think for themselves.


    ¡°Just need to check something.¡± Before she can react, I pulled out a syringe from a drawer and drew some blood.


    I then dripped some of the blood into a small machine and pressed several buttons.


    Looking at the flashing lights from the machine, she asked the same question, ¡°What is it? A pregnancy test?¡±


    O~k. She was starting to lose her ability to make a proper logical thought. There is definitely something going on with her.


    ¡°This is a machine that¡¯s used to analyze DNA. I kept it in my laboratory since I usually use it to study Vara DNA.¡±


    After a couple more flashing lights, the results came up on the monitor. Studying the lines of codes, when I got to a certain part, I then realized why Mia was acting so much like a Raia out of control.


    Raia were smarter than then Eldra, more beautiful than the Eldra, and lived longer than the Eldra. But another difference was the way that their brains worked. It was proven several decades ago that the Raia race was hardwired to be attracted to an opposite sex who they deemed to be far superior to them.


    It varied individually in how the mate had to be superior and by how much. Some were satisfied with someone being able to hold them down in a brawl. Some wanted a mate that was smarter than them. Others wanted a mate that could completely dominate them in mind and body.


    They weren¡¯t masochists; they just wanted to find a strong mate to carry on their genes. People believed this to be the reason why the Raia race was so much superior to the Eldra race.


    However, their control over this instinct was incredibly weak. Therefore the tattoos they used were actually a spell that was drawn onto them using special liquid that is extremely hard to erase. The spell helped them have some control over the instinct, but people have yet to find a spell that was able to completely keep it in check.


    However Mia did not have it, which was the reason why she had been acting more and more unreasonable to the point where it just made her seem like a crazy pervert.


    I couldn¡¯t tell whether she was lucky that she ended up in this world where we could help her, or unlucky that she had Raia DNA in her. But thinking of how it had only started to become serious once she came to my world, I couldn¡¯t shake off the feeling that maybe mana had something to do the Raia¡¯s instinct.


    I began opening cabinets searching for something. After I finally found it, I returned to Mia with a bottle of what appeared to be black ink.


    ¡°Hey Mia. Come here and sit down,¡± I gestured to one of the seats.


    Apparently she ignored the part where I gestured to the seats because she sat on my legs and refused to budge.


    I sighed and began using a brush to draw a tattoo on her face. She quietly sat there as I drew, but when I looked at her eyes, I could tell that it was taking everything she had to not jump me.


    I continued drawing and was soon drawing near her collar bone. At that point, I stopped. I tried figured out the best way to continue when I heard the sound of the door breaking. I turned to see Raia standing at the doorway with a blaster in her hand. It was shaped like a pistol, but was able to fire an energy blast that was able to destroy nearly anything within a few feet.


    When she saw what was happening, she froze. Nely was also there peeking around the side of the door.


    ¡°Isn¡¯t that a Raia tattoo? Why are you drawing one of her?¡± Nelly asked.


    ¡°I found Raia DNA in her. Probably one of her ancestors was a Raia and it was carried down her family.¡±


    ¡°But she came from another world.¡±


    I simply shrugged. I tossed the bottle to Rina who caught it in one had, ¡°I need you to finish the tattoo. I¡¯ll be in the lobby waiting.¡±


    Watching me struggle for a moment to get Mia off me, Rina sighed and walked over. She then yanked Mia off, and turned to me.


    ¡°We¡¯ll talk later.¡±


    I nodded and left, taking Nely with me. In the lobby, I sat down with Nely curled up by my side and I stroked her head while watchig the video that she had left on when I walked in.


    ¡°Isn¡¯t this an old video of the Pilot World Championship?¡± The Pilot World Championship was a competition between pilots who drove anything that could be driven in space, and duked it out.


    Of course, the pilots controlled the vehicle from another location for their safety. I remembered that I had even seen a pilot use a regular commercial hover car and armed it with missiles and laser cannons. Unfortunately, his vehicle was one of the first to get destroyed as it was far too slow even without all the heavy weaponry compared to a mech.


    ¡°Yeah¡± She nodded, ¡°I was actually watching this one before you walked in,¡± she rewound the video.


    She then pressed play when she saw a certain black and blue mech come out.


    ¡°Isn¡¯t that?¡±


    ¡°Yeah. It¡¯s you! When you participated in the Pilot World Championship and completely destroyed everything in your way!¡±


    She turned to face me, ¡°I¡¯m actually going to join the piloting sector once I join the military academy. I want to be an ace pilot like you were.¡±


    ¡°Were? You mean I still am,¡± I crossed my arms.


    ¡°Nope,¡± Sister actually beat your record while you were gone. Downed Five hundred twenty enemies in the virtual reality machine compared to your four hundred seventy three.¡±


    ¡°What?! No way!¡± The person who had placed right after me had only twenty enemies down. The only reason I had been able to take down that many was thanks to my customized mech that was assisted by an advanced AI I developed to use for my living weapons.


    ¡°Nope. After you were gone, some people managed to get a copy of your basic AI kit, so it helped boost the average enemy downs from fifty to one hundred. The top rankers all have a few hundred. Your actually rank five now.¡±


    ¡°What?! How¡¯d they get a copy of my AI?!¡± I screamed.


    ¡°Not the advanced AI. They only got the basic version you made while still in school. The basic versions are only able to execute the short commands you give them but still able to decide how best complete the tasks. Apparently someone found it in the dumps. It even had your sigil on it proving it was yours.¡±


    ¡°So I accidentally threw it out.¡± I was close to pulling out my hair in stress. Although it was only a basic AI, I could have made a few billion credits out of it considering no one else was able to make anything even remotely close to an intelligent AI, but I just had to accidentally throw it out!


    As I was in the midst of my despair, I heard footsteps coming from behind. I turned around to see Mia and Rina returning. Mia now had a completed tattoo and was wearing a loose T-shirt and sweat pants. Rina had probably given her a change of clothes.


    Rina walked over and sat down next to me. Mia however, sat down on the furthest couch while avoiding eye contact with me. Her mind had probably cleared up now that that tattoo was helping her keep in control.


    Rina poked me in my ribs, ¡°I still haven¡¯t forgiven you for disappearing on me for seven years.¡±


    I made a nervous smile, ¡°Hey. You already knocked me out once. Isn¡¯t that enough?¡±


    ¡°-s -e.¡± She mumbled.


    ¡°What?¡±


    ¡°Kiss me.¡± She blushed while looking at my face.


    ¡°Rina,¡± I was about to say no, but when I turned around to see a blaster pointing at my face, I changed my mind and said, ¡°Why not.¡±


    As soon as I replied, the blaster disappeared and was replaced by Rina who immediately yanked me towards her and covered my mouth with her in a hungry kiss. Her mouth was warm and her lips so soft. She tentatively tried to push her tongue in and I parted my mouth to let her in. I thought it was cute how she acted so stubborn and cold, but was so nervous when she finally got what she wanted. It lasted for a few seconds until I finally pushed her off.


    ¡°Are we even now?¡± Rina nodded.


    But Nely surprised me by turning my head around and doing the exact thing as her sister.


    My mind stalled for a moment as Rina desperately tasted my tongue in an aggressive manner compared to her sister. Then, before I could push her away, she pulled back and ran out of the room while giggling.


    I stared after her as she exited the room.


    ¡°Rina,¡± I said, ¡°You sister . . .¡±


    ¡°You should have known,¡± She simply shrugged and turned to watch the TV.


    ¡°But she¡¯s a kid. She¡¯s only known me while she was a kid!¡±


    ¡°We Raia mature faster than Eldra. She may only seem like sixteen to you, but if compared to Eldra, her mental age would be in her mid-twenties. Sixteen when you disappeared when she was nine. Mature enough for her to get attached I would think.¡±


    As I struggled to not be disturbed by kissing someone I had always considered to be a child, someone tapped my shoulder. I looked up to see Mia.


    ¡°What-¡° She quickly pecked my lips before running off after Nely with an even redder face than before.


    ¡°. . . . I don¡¯t understand this anymore. Why the hell are you Raia girls so attached to me.¡±


    Rina looked at me sideways, ¡°We¡¯re hardwired to be attracted to men we see as superior than us. It¡¯s your fault for being so dependable and strong.¡±


    ¡°. . . I¡¯m a scrawny kid now. I got knocked out in one hit.¡±


    ¡°Already attracted.¡±


    I closed my eyes and leaned back. Rina wrapped her arms around my chest and laid there.


    ¡°Oh and next time you go on an S-rank mission without me,¡± she whispered as I was drifting asleep, ¡°I¡¯ll strap you down to a bed and never let you go.¡±


    I sleepily nodded, and was soon snoring.

 Chapter Three- Living Weapons

    As I opened my eyes, the smell of cooked food woke me up. I leaned forward and groaned when I felt my stiff neck. Looking to my side, I noticed that Rina had disappeared. I got up and was stretching when Rina leaned out of a doorway towards the side.


    ¡°You¡¯re finally up. Dinners ready if you want some.¡±


    ¡°Dinner?¡± I asked, ¡°What time is it?¡±


    She rolled her eyes, ¡°It¡¯s five in the evening. So are you going to eat or not?¡±


    ¡°Eating. I¡¯m eating,¡± I quickly walked over and entered the dining room.


    The size of the dining room was enormous. It would have been more correct to call it a mess hall with the rows of tables with windows on the walls where you would collect your food. Seeing Mia and Nely already sitting down at one of the tables, I hurried over and sat down with Rina.


    Looking down I was pleased with what I saw. There were meat dishes with salad and bottles of different colored drinks.


    ¡°Who made the food?¡± I asked as I took a bite of a meat. It was tender and juicy. Cooked to perfection.


    ¡°I did,¡± Nely said as she grabbed some salad.


    ¡°Oh?¡± I raised my eyebrows, ¡°You got a lot better. I remember that you and your sister always ended up making this weird blob. I thought it ran in your genes.¡±


    ¡°That was when I was nine. Obviously I would get better,¡± she took a glance at her sister, ¡°But some people will never have a talent for it.¡±


    Rina looked away with a slightly red face as she also dug into the food.


    After we finished eating, Rina took away the dishes to wash them as I went back to the living room with Nely and Mia.


    ¡°Mia, we have to talk about something.¡± I said as I sat down on a sofa and Nely sat down next to me.


    ¡°What is it?¡± Mia asked as she sat down on a sofa on the other side.


    ¡°The thing is, on this world, every person is required to attend a military academy once they turn sixteen for a year. Longer if they want to become a mercenary or join the military.¡±


    ¡°Why?¡±


    ¡°I told you that in this world, there is the Vara that are a dangerous race right?¡±


    ¡°Mhm.¡± She nodded


    ¡°The thing is that although we have a defense line against the Vara, there are always ways they can sneak past our radars or go around. So every so often, a Vara ends up on a planet that¡¯s away from the defense line, like this planet.¡±


    ¡°So . . . everyone is taught to fight so that if a Vara comes, anyone can pick up a weapon to fight back?¡±


    ¡°Only as a last resort. But so far, there has never been a situation the military or the mercenaries couldn¡¯t handle.¡±


    ¡°I see,¡± Mia thought for a moment before turning to face me, ¡°What about you? What did you do? Are you part of the military since you¡¯re a royal magister?¡±


    I shook my head, ¡°Being a royal magister has nothing to do with who I work for. To be a royal magister, you have to pass a series of exams.¡±


    ¡°I see,¡± Mia sat while lost in thought. Then she asked, ¡°What do you think I should do? Study only one year or longer.¡±


    ¡°You should keep attending the academy,¡± Rina walked into the living room and took the empty seat next to me, ¡°Even though the emperor makes only one year mandatory, everyone would want to attend if they could.¡±


    ¡°Why?¡± Mia asked.


    ¡°Because,¡± Rina answered, ¡°To actually be worth anything to anybody, you¡¯ll require skills that you can only get by continuing your education at a academy. But the academies allow only a select number of students to continue their education. Of course, you can create a space for yourself even if you fail by offering a large donation.¡±


    Rina glared at Mia, ¡°But if you need help with something as small as that, you might as well just walk out that front door right now. You¡¯d only drag Virk down.¡±


    Mia glared back, ¡°And what makes you think I¡¯ll fail. Just watch, I¡¯ll become a royal magister just like him.¡±


    Seeing that Mia had made her decision, I clapped my hands together to make the two glaring women face me.


    ¡°Alright then, Nely, can you apply Mia to attend the same academy as you?¡± I rubbed her head.


    ¡°Of course! Mia follow me,¡± She then dragged Mia away to hole in the wall, which was what was left of the front door since Rina destroyed it last night.


    ¡°And Rina, I was wondering since a while ago, but where did everyone go?¡±Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.


    ¡°You mean your living weapons?¡±


    I nodded.


    ¡°Follow me,¡± She led the way deeper into the house.


    I followed her down several corridors, and she led me to a room.


    ¡°Why are we at their rooms? Were they home this whole time?¡±


    She rolled her eyes and opened the door. Inside was a large room with capsules on either side. There were four capsules in total, and three were closed.


    I walked over to one. The capsules had glass lids so I was easily able to see that inside was a girl with green hair sleeping peacefully. Looking at the other two closed capsule, there were two more girls, one with yellow hair and one with blue. All of them looked to be in their twenties and were incredibly beautiful.


    ¡°Why are they all in deep sleep,¡± I frowned, ¡°Is there something wrong with them?¡±


    Rina rolled her eyes again and held up a device. A holographic screen was projected and what I saw made me pale.


    The screen was showing the emperor¡¯s throne room that I had been at the other night. But this one looked, less complete. There were chunks of the wall missing, the throne had been smashed to pieces, the tapestry on the wall was torn down, and even the emperor was on the floor.


    Looking carefully, I saw that he was staring up at the sky while crying and it looking like he was saying something. Unfortunately there was no sound. After a moment, four figures flew down. Three of them were the girls in the capsule, and the last one was most likely the one that was missing from her capsule. She had white hair, and like the other three girls, was extremely beautiful with the perfect curves.


    The three of them looked like they were screaming something at the emperor, while the emperor was shaking his head. The white haired one suddenly materialized a black sword out of nowhere and was about to cut the emperor down. However, before it landed, a red blur appeared and knocked her back, out of the screen. Before the other three could react, the red blur flew around them and they fell to the floor like dolls with broken strings.


    When the red blue stopped moving, the camera was finally able to focus and show that it was Rina. When the clip stopped, I had a pale face and had cold sweat dripping down my back.


    ¡°When did this happen?¡±


    Rina shrugged, ¡°When the rumors started that you had gone on an S-rank mission and gotten killed. About a month after you last left the house. You¡¯re lucky that the emperor let this go due to your friendship with him. Also, Moon ran away before I could knock her out. She¡¯s been missing all this time. Luckily, she hasn¡¯t tried anything like that again since then. As for the rest of them, I put them in deep sleep since I didn¡¯t want to bother with them after the mess they made.¡±


    ¡°Oh man,¡± I covered my face with my hands, ¡°I¡¯ll need to visit him later on to apologize properly with them later.¡±


    After a moment of silence, I sighed and turned back to the capsules. One by one I pressed a series of buttons on the side of the capsule. As the capsules opened up I walked back to stand by Rina with my arms crossed across my chest as I waited for them to wake up.


    ¡°Mmmm!¡± The one with the yellow hair sat up and stretched her arms, ¡°That was a long nap. How long was I sleeping for?¡±


    ¡°I don¡¯t know, I was sleeping too,¡± the blue haired girl said.


    ¡°Me three,¡± followed the one with green hair.


    ¡°Aura, Ivy, Sun, come here.¡± I said with a glare.


    They all turned to me.


    ¡°Who is that scrawny kid?¡± The yellow haired girl frowned.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know. Oh it¡¯s Rina. Hi!¡± The blue haired girl also frowned.


    ¡°Ah! I¡¯m sorry Rina! I was just so mad at that time!¡± The green haired girl rolled off her capsule and peeked her head out from behind it.


    Rina sighed and pointed at me, ¡°First off, ¡®that scrawny kid¡¯ is Virk, Sun. Second of all, Don¡¯t ¡®Hi¡¯ me Aura. Third, I don¡¯t care. Get over here Ivy. All of you.¡±


    ¡°¡±¡±. . . . Eh?!?!?!¡±¡±¡± They all yelled out.


    ¡°But how?! Did he get a surgery to change his looks?!¡± Sun looked me up and down in shock.


    ¡°But master said that he would never waste his life span to change his DNA, but I feel like I¡¯m forgetting something important,¡± Aura frowned.


    ¡°Hey you idiots,¡± Ivy yelled at them, ¡°Did you already forget what we did last night?!¡±


    ¡°Last night?¡± Sun frowned.


    ¡°Mmm. Ah!¡± Aura remembered first, and then Sun did as well.


    They all turned to me at the same time with fear in their eyes.


    ¡°¡±¡±Master!¡±¡±¡± They jumped and bowed their heads in front of me.


    ¡°Oh? What happened to ¡®that scrawny kid¡¯ Sun?¡± Honestly, the yellow haired girl was right that I was scrawny compared to my original body, but right now I was a bit too pissed to care.


    ¡°Master! That! I didn¡¯t mean!¡± She started panicking and was wildly gesturing randomly in the air.


    ¡°And Aura still as forgetful as ever I see. Is the AI I gave you just a piece junk? Do I need to remove it?,¡± I glared at the blue haired girl.


    ¡°No!¡± she began tearing up, ¡°She¡¯s extremely helpful! It¡¯s me that¡¯s the problem! Please don¡¯t delete her!¡±


    Ignoring her, I finally turned to the green haired girl, Ivy, ¡°Ivy oh Ivy.¡±


    Hearing that she began trembling, ¡°I made you the leader of my squad but to think that you would disappoint me this much.¡±


    ¡°I-I-I¡± She kept on saying ¡®I¡¯ like a broken recorder, unknowing what to say.


    ¡°Quiet! I took the four of you into my squad after you graduated because you four were the most talented in your generation and had a lot of potential to grow. But to think that you all attacked the emperor. Are you all out of you damn minds?!¡±


    The three of them were trembling with closed eyes.


    ¡°And do any of you know where the hell Moon ran away to?¡±


    The three slowly shook their heads.


    I groaned. The four girls were abandoned children I had picked up a long time ago, much like Rina and Nely. After they had graduated, I had given them each custom equipment ranging from weapons to support tools and an advanced AI bracelet. The AI was connected to their equipment and the bracelet had a dimensional storage function that allowed the girls to store the equipment in an alternate space, allowing them to pull whatever they needed out at any given moment.


    Using these equipment and AI, they became some of the strongest Royal Magisters. As they became more and more well known, they were given the nickname Living Weapons due to the terrifying combat prowess that made them seem more like killing machines than human.


    ¡°The three of you,¡± I pointed to them, ¡°Are to go with me to the emperor and apologize for the mess you made tomorrow morning. Is that understood?¡±


    ¡°¡±¡±Yes!¡±¡±¡± They sat up and shouted.


    ¡°And as of now, you three are grounded. Is that understood?¡±


    ¡°¡±¡±No!¡±¡±¡± By now they already knew they were forgiven and ran out the door laughing.


    ¡°Those brats are seriously a pain,¡± I sighed.


    They were probably going to go to the living room and watch a movie or something that they missed in the last seven years. They may look like adults, but they definitely did not act their age most of the time.


    ¡°But you know you still love them,¡± Rina gave me a kiss and left the room.


    As I watched her leave, I began thinking. In the past, I had rejected her as Ihad felt that the reason she had been so attached to me was due to the way she felt when I took her in, not because of actual man to woman love. But if she felt the same even after being seven years apart, I guess I could give it a try. Although Nely would need more thinking, and maybe more growing in a certain area.


    I turned to look at the capsule that had been empty for several years.


    "Please be safe, Moon," I quietly prayed as I left the room to follow the laughter down the corridors.

 Chapter Four

    In the afternoon, I had gone to meet the emperor with all the girls. Currently, my three living weapons were in a dogeza while looking very sorry.


    ¡°It¡¯s alright it¡¯s alright. You know they wouldn¡¯t be able to hurt me,¡± The emperor smiled, ¡°After all, the only way to become the emperor is to be the strongest mage in the world.¡±


    ¡°Even so. If you send me the bills for the repairs, although it¡¯s a bit late, I¡¯ll reimburse everything.¡±


    ¡°Well, if you insist,¡± he waved forward one of his attendants who passed me a metallic card. Looking at the amount shown on the holographic screen, I sighed. A few million points wasn¡¯t much to me but still, money leaving my wallet never sounded good, but not paying him back for the damages would leave a bad feeling.


    I pulled out a black card and tapped it onto the machine, transferring a few million credits from my account to the royal treasury.


    ¡°And I was wondering,¡± I asked, ¡°How are the residents from my other world doing?¡±


    The attendant clicked several buttons on his glasses, ¡°Currently, out of the nine hundred ninety three students we have taken in, all of them but one were given a worker class licence and are currently working and learning in various factories and stores in this city. The one exception is named Tamaki and had to be put in rehabilitation as he had broken down mentally. The others are currently a bit wary of their environment, but they are all displaying a decent level of satisfaction at their work place. We already have a plan set up in case some of them start getting anxious about not returning home.¡±


    I nodded, ¡°That¡¯s good.¡±


    The emperor looked like he wanted to say something but couldn¡¯t seem to say it, ¡°What is it your majesty? If there is anything you need?¡±


    The emperor hesitated a bit more before speaking, ¡°The thing is, many nobles have been pestering me about this, but do you think that you can spend a few years teaching at an academy?¡±


    ¡°Teaching? Me?¡± I asked confused.


    ¡°As one of the legendary Royal Magisters, you often go on highly dangerous missions.¡±

    ¡°Compared to any other mages or Royal Magisters, you have a wide variety of knowledge that no one else knows. They think that it would be a waste if it were to all disappear if you somehow met with an accident, like the last one where you disappeared for seven years.¡±


    I thought for a moment, ¡°I had all that knowledge for years, but no one is saying anything until now. Not to mention that any mages private research is considered to be classified,¡± I looked up at the emperor, ¡°So what¡¯s the real reason?¡±


    The emperor leaned back on his throne, ¡°The nobles from the night before spread out pictures of you. Many young girls took a fancy to your new young appearance, and well, you can probably figure out the rest.¡±


    I face palmed myself, ¡°My god. I already have a girl, maybe three. I don¡¯t need any more.¡±


    ¡°One? Ah! Rina finally made you open your stubborn eyes,¡± The emperor gave a thumbs up to Rina who tried to keep a straight face, but she couldn''t stop the corners of her lips from twitching upwards, ¡°So about that teaching job. How about it?¡±


    I was about to say no, but when I saw Mia and Nely, an idea formed.


    ¡°Alright. But on two conditions.¡±


    ¡°Hm?¡±


    ¡°First, Mia is going to need a citizenship ID and is going to be allowed to attend the same academy along with Nely.¡±


    The emperor frowned, ¡°I was thinking of having you teach at the royal academy. That means she will be needing a noble¡¯s ID and those aren¡¯t something I can give so easily.¡±


    ¡°I¡¯ll personally train her to pass the test, so I just need you to help bypass some paperwork.¡±Stolen story; please report.


    ¡°If she can pass the abilities test, I can waive all the paperworks required."


    ¡°Secondly, I only want to teach the mech piloting class. Don¡¯t set me up for something like etiquettes.¡±


    ¡°. . .damn. Fine.¡±


    ¡°Then it¡¯s a deal. I¡¯ll be heading back then. Sooner I start Mia¡¯s training, the better.¡±


    An hour later, we were back at my headquarters. While we were gone, the construction company had already finished repairing the front door. Bonus credits really do motivate workers I guess.


    The three living weapons girls immediately hopped onto the sofas and turned on the holographic screen and began searching for movies. Rina and Nely followed me and Mia to a spacious underground room that was empty with plain white padded walls and floor.


    ¡°Mia, can you try manipulating your mana like you did when we first came to this world?¡±


    ¡°I-I can try,¡± She nodded and held her hands out in front of her. After concentrating for a few moments, a small tornado made of mana formed, although it was a lot smaller than before.


    ¡°That¡¯s good enough for now,¡± I nodded. It looked like my theory that mana having to do with Raia instincts might be true. Most likely, when she first came to world, mana had started to affect her and caused her to be more sensitive to mana at that moment. Right now, her body had almost completely adapted to the mana in the air, so her sensitivity had gone down a bit.


    ¡°This is a basic spell that increases your physical ability. It¡¯s one of the spells you¡¯ll need to pass the test to get the royal citizenship ID,¡± I drew a simple spell in the air and activated it, causing my body to give off a faint blue glow, ¡°Try to copy it.¡±


    She tried several times but the mana kept dispersing in the air like mist as she tried to draw, ¡°Keep practicing for now. Nely, can you help supply her with some mana if she runs outs?¡±


    ¡°Leave it to me,¡± Nely nodded.


    I then brought Rina to another room next door that held multiple large machines.


    ¡°This has been peeving me out for a bit, so let¡¯s spar. I want to see how much better you got at mech piloting,¡± I said as I got in one of the machines.


    Rina chuckled before entering another one of the machine.

    The a bright light flashed and the next thing I knew, I was standing in the middle of a bustling city center.


    ¡°Selling basic AI! Only ten thousand credits!¡±


    ¡°Mech Armament blueprints! Starting from five thousand credits!¡±


    The VR world was just as busy as I remembered it if not even busier. In this VR world, it was possible to buy anything you needed. You could even buy some less legal items as long as you knew where to go to order them.


    ¡°Hey! Virk!¡± Rina walked over. In the VR, all physical appearances were copied exactly to prevent fraud and identity theft.


    ¡°Let¡¯s go,¡± she took my arm and began dragging me to a teleporter. These things were circular and all over the place. All you needed to do was stand on it and punch in the destination ID and it would immediately send you there.


    After a few minutes, we were standing in a large hanger that housed multiple giant mechs.


    ¡°My Mooncrusher is exactly the way I left it,¡± I walked over to the large blue mech and felt the glossy paint covering it. These mechs specs were copied from the real world and pasted in the VR world. As long as you put in the right specs, they felt exactly the same as the one in the real world.


    ¡°Alright lets go!¡± I was getting excited as I thought that I would be able to pilot my mech again.


    I sat in the spacious cockpit that was able to seat up to five people. To use the mech to its full potential had originally required five people, but I had developed the advanced AI that was able to fill in, and even do a much better job.


    ¡°Hey Lia! Wake up Lia! I¡¯m back!¡± I pressed multiple buttons and pulled several levers to power up the mech.


    ¡°Zzzzz. Hmm? Someone¡¯s operating the Mooncrusher? ID is . . . MOONLIGHT?! Master are you back?!¡± A female voice filled the cockpit.


    ¡°Yeah Lia. I¡¯m back! Sorry for leaving you alone for so long.¡±


    ¡°I-I-It¡¯s nothing master! OMG! It¡¯s been seven years! Where have you been master?!¡±


    ¡°Long story short, I died, was reborn in another world, and was somehow summoned back here.¡±


    ¡° . . . I did not understand one bit after you said you died, but simply put your back right?!¡±


    ¡°Yup! And I¡¯m going to be sparring with Rina¡¯s mech so power on everything and let¡¯s go!¡± I was extremely happy to see Lia again. Although she was an AI, like the advanced AI¡¯s used by my living weapons, she had her own personality, memories, likes and dislikes. By universal standards, she would be considered a sentient being,


    ¡°Alright! Engines powered on! Laser weapons powered on! Missiles loaded! Energy packs fully charged! We¡¯re good to go!¡± Lia crowed.


    She had always loved being able to move the mech, but that most likely had to do with how she didn¡¯t have her own body yet. Speaking of, I would have to develop bodies for her and the living weapon¡¯s AI¡¯s. Although they didn¡¯t mind too much, I know that they must feel uncomfortable time to time from being unable to move around as they wish.


    ¡°Mooncrusher! Take off!¡± I strapped myself in and ordered. The wall behind the mech fell open, showing that what laid outside was an empty void, and that the building they had been in was a space station.


    Buying this property in VR had taken a good chunk of my credits, but it was all worth it.


    As I remembered the feel of the mech, a red mech flew past, almost grazing me.


    ¡°Virk, Lia, let¡¯s go!¡± Rina¡¯s voice called out from the red mech.


    I smiled and gripped the controls.


    ¡°You ready Lia?¡±


    ¡°Yup!¡±
