Prologue : A New Beginning
There was a time when I used to laugh at the idea of dying by lightning and then mysteriously getting reincarnated into another world. It was one of the most commonly used cliche plot in the novels I used to read. But when reality slaps you across face and you find yourself in the very same position, then its no laughing matter.
It all happened when I went out to buy some groceries since I was tired of eating instant noodles when suddenly the sky darkened and rumbling of lightning was heard from the dark clouds hovering overhead. The change in weather was so swift that it almost felt instatenous to me. Just when I was getting worried over getting wet, I saw a thick arc of lightning coming straight in my direction and before I could move a muscle, my eyes saw white and I lost my consciousness.
There was no time to have a flashback of my life before my eyes, nor was there any time to think about the regrets I had in my life. It all ended in an instant. Just *poof*. Honestly, its not like I had any special attachment to my life. Life as an orphan was not pleasant. My average looks and aptitude did not help either and at the end of 20 years of my life, I had an average job with a meager salary. Most of my time was spent on internet, games and novels. I had no emotional attachment to anybody, not to mention I was naturally a virgin. And that¡¯s how the life of an average human ended, or so I thought.
As my consciousness left my body, the last thing on my mind was : I hope I get reincarnated in another world just like those protagonists who died by lightning.
¡°Wu wu wu wu¡±
Suddenly I heard the crying voice of a female and I was shocked. Wasn¡¯t I dead? How come I can still hear things?
¡°Huang¡¯er, I am so sorry. It was all mother¡¯s fault.¡±
Listening to the sorrowful voice of the woman again, I suddenly felt a strong urge to console her, as If I couldn¡¯t bear the idea of her crying. It was strange. I was dead, right?

This time, I heard another voice, albeit it sounded like it belonged to a young girl. The words she said did not match the sadness and sorrow in her voice.
What was going on? How could I suddenly hear the voices of a woman and a girl after my death? And it looked like they were crying because their kin got hurt, bit what has that got to do with me?
Suddenly I felt my consciousness returning back to me and the sense of weightlessness going away. Feeling the sensation of having a body again, my heart was part confused part elated. It was then that I was able to move my eyelids and look at the faces to which those voices belonged to.

As Tian Huang opened his eyes, his gaze fell into the face of a beautiful woman with tears running down her cheeks. Despite her being in such a state, Tian Huang swore she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She could even give those top models back on Earth a run for their money. He slightly turned his head and saw the person the second voice belonged to. She was a bewitchingly beautiful girl with a strong resemblance to the woman he just saw. Her eyes were red and her fists clenched.
It was then that the two beautiful woman registered that the boy laying in the arms of the older one had opened his eyes and was looking at them with a confused gaze. They were shocked for a second before joy filled their hearts.

Both of them shouted simultaneously and broke into huge smiles. Even though their faces were stained with tears, they still looked incredibly bewitching with smiles on their faces.
As Tian Huang was wondering what the hell was going on, a he suddenly felt a tinge of pain in his head and stream of foreign memories entered his mind. A few seconds later, Tian Huang realized that the wish he made at the edge of his death actually came true!
He was in a different world, or perhaps it was more apt to say a different universe all together. And atop that, he had mysteriously gotten re-incarnated as a young man of 15 years old named Tian Huang. The world he was in was called Eldia and it was a world where strength reigned supreme. Tian Huang also realized that the beautiful women in front of him were actually his mother and younger sister named Li An and Tian Lei respectively.
Looking at the smiling faces of his mother and sister, Tian Huang for the first time felt a strong sense of familial love for these two women. According to the memories of the past Tian Huang, he was hailed as a genius when he was 10 years old for breaking through Foundation Stage level 4 at such a young age.
The cultivation system in this world was pretty complex and not much was known about realms above the Foundation Stage. It was natural since the strongest person in the Misty City was at 10thlevel of Foundation Stage.
Just when everybody in the sect was celebrating the birth of a genius, fate played a cruel joke on Tian Huang and his cultivation stagnated at the Foundation Stage Level 5 for 5 long years without showing any signs of breaking through. This made Tian Huang the biggest laughing stock of Misty City, where his sect : The Supreme Yin-Yang Sect resided. The original owner of his body was an arrogant fellow since he was deemed as a genius but he couldn¡¯t handle the sudden change in attitude towards him when he suddenly became a trash. His personality took a big hit and he became a coward who only knew how to hide behind his mother¡¯s back. It was fortunate that his mother was an esteemed elder of the sect otherwise he probably would have been bullied to death by those who resented his sudden rise to fame.
But it still did not stop a few people from bullying him, among which his greatest enemy was the son of Third Elder, Chen Jiang. Whenever that fellow got an opportunity to humiliate him in public, he never let it go. Since his backing was not ordinary, his mother couldn¡¯t help him and it was his younger sister who always protected him instead. Despite not being as talented as the past Tian Huang, she was supremely talented as well and was at 6thlevel of Foundation Stage at an young age of 14, the same as Chen Jiang and therefore he never messed with Tian Huang in presence of Tian Lei.
But this fellow was extremely evil and had somehow managed to lure Tian Huang to the outskirts of the city with the mention of a special herb capable of restoring his lost talent. Even though Tian Huang was not stupid, with the mention of his Achilles heel, he couldn¡¯t help but follow him and his lackeys to the Abyssal Mountain Range, believing his mother¡¯s position would be enough as a deterrence towards anyone who wished him harm. Unfortunately, Tian Huang had underestimated Chen Jiang¡¯s guts. As soon as they reached a relatively secluded spot, instead for searching for some herb, Tian Huang was miserably beaten up and left bleeding. Out of Chen Jiang¡¯s expectations, one of his lackeys accidentally dealt a fatal blow to Tian Huang which broke his ribs into pieces, one of which punctured his heart leading to his instant death.
Realizing this Chen Jiang had panicked and fled from the scene since despite being the son of Third Elder, if he was convicted of killing the son of the Fifth elder (Tian Huang¡¯s Mother), he won¡¯t be able to escape his death. By the time Li An arrived trailing her son¡¯s aura several hours after, Tian Huang¡¯s soul had already left his body and in its place was a foreign soul originating from Earth.
Li An was shocked to find her son in such a miserable state and had used all the healing pills she had in her stock to help him recover but despite her best efforts, Tian Huang remained in critical state. Fearing the worst, Li An and Tian Lei couldn¡¯t control themselves and had started crying in front of Tian Huang¡¯s unconscious body. It was only a few moments ago that Tian Huang had suddenly awoken from his slumber.
¡°Mom, Sis¡± Tian Huang called out affectionately. Even though it was his first time interacting with them, knowing how much they cared for his past self, Tian Huang took it upon himself to cherish and protect them, now that he had taken over Tian Huang¡¯s body.
Suddenly Tian Huang found his head buried into something soft and realized his mother was hugging him tightly. He also felt the same sensation on his back, meaning his sister was hugging him as well. Having such close physical contact with females, especially ones with such devilish bodies, Tian Huang felt overwhelmed. But more importantly, he felt the genuine love they had for him and was inwardly happy to have been blessed with such a wonderful family in this new world.
¡°Big Brother, are you alright?¡± Tian Lei asked with concern as Tian Huang was released from the double hug.
¡°Yeah, don¡¯t worry I am fine¡± Tian Huang said as he pinched her nose. Tian Lei humphed and slapped his hands away but her eyes showed she was happy.
¡°Son, you scared your mother to death. What happened in the Abyssal Forest? Didn¡¯t I warn you not to go there since it is full of powerful dire beasts?¡± Li An asked as she wiped away her tears. Recalling the matter of Chen Jiang, Tian Huang¡¯s eyes turned cold and he decided then and there that he had to kill that evil fellow first and get revenge for the previous owner of his body. Suddenly, Tian Huang realized how casually he had decided to outright murder someone without feeling an ounce of pity or guilt. Is this because my thinking process has somehow integrated with the beliefs and customs of this world?
¡°Well, I got some Intel regarding the emergence of a rare spirit herb and wanted to take a look. Who would have thought I would get attacked by a dire beast. Luckily I managed to escape, but got injured in the process¡± Tian Huang made up some story to cover up the truth. Knowing his mother¡¯s nature, he was sure once Li An got to know that somebody had tried to murder her son, she will not care even if the perpetrator was the son of an elder and outright kill him. The problem was, third elder had only one son and if Li An really killed Chen Jiang without any justification, he will make sure she and her family would be punished as harshly as possible by the sect laws. The last thing Tian Huang wanted after transmigrating over was to make a strong enemy when his own strength was negligible.
Chapter 1: Eye of Samsara
Even though Li An felt her son was hiding something, she had no choice but to accept it, believing someday Tian Huang will tell her the truth. After making sure Tian Huang was fine, she left the Tian siblings to themselves and left. She had been neglecting her duties as an Elder for the past couple of days due to her son, but now that he was fine, she felt reassured and went back to the Elder Pavilion.
Back at the room, Tian Huang suddenly found his sister looking at him with weird eyes. Inwardly he had realized that it will not be possible to fool his sister since she was aware of the discord he had with Chen Jiang.
¡°Tell me the truth brother. It was that Chen Jiang who ostracized that trap for you, wasn¡¯t it?¡± Tian Lei suddenly opened her mouth and straightforwardly asked. Knowing it will be futile to avoid it any further, Tian Huang nodded. Tian Lei clenched her fists as intense murderous light flashed in the depth of her eyes and the temperature of the room dropped several degrees instantly. Suddenly, Tian Lei felt a pair of strong and warm hands grabbing hers and her anger subsided.
¡°Sis, calm down. I know you want to take revenge on that bastard, but he is the son of the Third Elder after all and it won¡¯t be easy to deal with repercussions after killing him¡± Tian Huang spoke to remind Tian Lei the situation they were in. Sure enough, Tian Lei came back to her senses and after analyzing everything with a cool mind, she nodded her head.
Tian Huang inwardly sighed and reminded her again not to do anything dangerous and it won¡¯t be too late to take revenge when they were strong enough to avoid any backlash.
As Tian Lei left her brother¡¯s room, she was inwardly shocked at the sudden change in her brother¡¯s temperament and wisdom. As far she knew, he always used to get scared with the mention of Chen Jiang¡¯s name and went along with whatever she said. But today, he seemed much more calm and composed, as if he had been reborn into a different person all of a sudden after that incident.
¡®Is this the so called blessing from the misfortune? Has my brother decided to turn over a new leaf after experiencing a near death experience?¡¯
With that though it mind, Tian Lei left Tian Huang alone with a smile on her face. If Tian Huang really changed for the better, then the happiest person will be Tian Lei. She always believed her brother to be the most talented despite others saying otherwise. Maybe the time for her brother to outshine everyone else and soar to heavens has finally come.
As Tian Lei left leaving Tian Huang alone in the room, Tian Huang stared blankly at his own hands, trying to digest to all the information he had in his mind. After a few minutes his eyes regained their focus and showed a strong determination.
¡®Since I have arrived in this world with no away of going back anytime soon, I might as well start my journey to the top just like every other mc. Just that, every other mc has a cheat like ability of their own but what do I have?¡¯
It was exactly this moment that he heard a voice in his mind.

Recalling the System telling him about a lottery system, he tried thinking about it.

Suddenly a screen popped in front of his eyes. There was a display screen in the center and a big red button below it. A smaller display screen beside it displayed ¡®1¡¯. Tian Huang guessed he had to press the red button to initiate the lottery and the smaller display probably displayed the number of turns he had. Deciding to give it a try, he imagined pressing the button and with a *Ding*, the screen in the bigger display started flashing in multicolored light. After 30 seconds the intensity of flashed slowed down and Tian Huang could see a lot of words jumping around in a very fast speed inside the screen. Suddenly with a *Ding* the screen froze and the thing which it displayed made Tian Huang thoughts run wildly.

¡®Fuck. Did this fucking system gave me what I think it gave me?¡¯ Tian Huang screamed inwardly, no longer calm and stared at the screen with a frenzied look. Any random person who has any slightest interest in animes must have watched Naruto and they would know how much of a cheat Rinnegan was.
¡®*Ding* Congratulation! You have acquired the legendary eyes : Rinnegan. You can initiate the assimilation anytime. Warning! The Host¡¯s body will be in vegetative state during assimilation so be careful.¡¯
Looking at the new information, Tian Huang was overjoyed and without waiting for a second shouted ¡°System, begin assimilation!¡±

As soon as he read the message, Tian Huang lost his consciousness and his body slumped down. It was fortunate that he was lying down on his bed, so even if anybody walks in they will think he was sleeping. Otherwise, if Li An saw her son lying down on the floor not breathing, like he was dead, she probably would have suffered a heart attack.
Five hours passed away quickly and nobody disturbed Tian Huang during this time.

The first thing that Tian Huang saw was the information regarding Rinnegan. The level system was not out of his expectations since this was a bloody RPG type System afterall. But as he advances more in the path of cultivation, Rinnegan¡¯s level will keep upgrading as well and maybe one day he can unlock Rinne-Sharingan and use its Space-Time teleportation ability to return home. It was a pity that he had only access to Deva Path as of right now, but other paths will eventually get unlocked so he was not discouraged. Plus Deva Path¡¯s control over attractive and repulsive forces was a pretty strong ability as well.
As Tian Huang got up and looked around, he could feel the change in his vision. If he wanted, he could even focus on a dust particle a few meters away. Looking around for a mirror, Tian Huang found one lying around nearby and took a look at his new eyes. Looking at his violet colored eyes with rings originating from the center, Tian Huang was feeling excited inside his heart. Possessing Rinnegan was one of his childish wishes when he used to watch Naruto. Who would have thought he will achieve his dream one day, that too in such a cliche situation?
Turning his head, he focused on a sword hanging in the wall.

As soon as he activated his newfound power of almighty pull, the sword instantly came flying towards his palms as if some invisible force was pulling it. Pleased with himself, Tian Huang dropped the sword and for the first time inspected his body after having arrived in this world.
He had a fairly thin body with a handsome appearance. His eyes when Rinnegan was deactivated were light blue in color and he had inherited his mother¡¯s dark brown hair. He was 15 years old this year, but his appearance was of an 18 year old teenager. Tian Huang suddenly remembered the lifeline of warriors of this world and inspected his dantian. It was located below his navel. As his senses focused on this mysterious location, he found nothing but fog like mist swirling inside. Recalling the information from memories of the previous Tian Huang, he realized that this was actually the spiritual energy that the warriors absorbed in this world. As a warrior advances through the 10 levels of Foundation Stage, the amount of spiritual energy they can hold increases accordingly.
The good thing about Rinnegan was that it does not cost any sort of energy, except for a few special abilities, which would give a lot of advantages to Tian Huang later.
After cleaning up the mess in his room, Tian Huang sat on his bed and recalled the information about cultivation from his memories. There were various things associated with cultivation but the most important were : Cultivation manuals & Battle Skills. Cultivation manuals were absolutely necessary since without one you can¡¯t cultivate. Also, the grade of cultivation manual played a huge role in determining the upper-limit of your martial journey. The only grade Tian Huang knew was Yellow grade, and anything above that was not known or available in a remote region like Misty City. As for battle skills, as the name implied, these are the techniques with the help of which an individual can put forth his/her understanding of laws and amplify them to bring forth their full potential in a battle. Battle skills were graded the same way as cultivation manuals and the highest grade battle skill available in Misty City was an yellow grade one.
Chapter 2: [World Defying Heavenly Manual]
As Li An was an elder of the Supreme Yin-Yang Sect, along with Tian Huang proclaimed as a genius when he started cultivating, currently Tian Huang had access to one yellow grade Cultivation Manual and a Yellow Grade Battle Skill in his memories. Yellow grade cultivation manual and battle skill were pretty common in the lands of Dragnir Empire, the behemoth which ruled the lands of Southern Wilderness. Misty City was one of the many tier-3 cities under the rule of the empire. This world was countless times larger than Earth and the distance between any consecutive cities was huge. Unless someone¡¯s cultivation was around 5thlevel of Foundation Stage, it will take years for him/her to travel from one city to another. That was one of the reason why very little information was available about other cities. Also, majority of land in the empire was covered in forests where dangerous dire beasts and other creatures lurked. Sufficient strength was needed to travel through these forests otherwise you will only end up as food for the beasts.
Tian Huang touched his chin as he made plans for his future. He was obviously not satisfied with a measly yellow grade cultivation manual. Which one of the MC did not practice a heaven-defying cultivation manual during their lifetime? Wouldn¡¯t cultivating a yellow grade cultivation manual stain their glorious reputation?
Alright, Tian Huang was indeed thinking too much but that still did not change his train of though : I must obtain an OP cultivation manual from somewhere.
¡®Well, assuming I have the halo of a MC as well, it is highly likely that fate will arrange such a manual or some rare treasure on it own accord for me. Hmm, let¡¯s wait it out then. It¡¯s not like I can do something in this situation anyway.¡¯

It was a skill passed down from the very first ancestor of Supreme Yin-Yang Sect, who had supposedly found it in some ruins. It had only 2 levels so far and was obviously incomplete. The first level itself had very high offensive ability and Tian Huang had surprised the whole sect by successfully cultivating it to the first level in just 6 months when he had yet to loose his talent. Unfortunately, after his downfall he never made any progress in it. It was also rumored that the 2ndlevel of the skill actually surpassed the border of yellow grade but nobody in the history of the sect had ever successfully cultivated it to the 2ndlevel. Due to the difficulty of [Star Shattering Fist] only a handful of people in the sect had managed to cultivate it to the 1stlevel.
Deciding to try out this skill later, Tian Huang willed the information to fade away and gave another mental command.

This time a a blue box materialized in front of Tian Huang and was divided into various grids. It totally looked like the inventory of a RPG game. To his surprise, Tian Huang found that the inventory was not empty and the very first slot was being occupied by an ancient looking book. Curious, Tian Huang clicked on it and with a *pop* a thin ancient looking book materialized and fell above his palm. ¡®World Defying Heavenly Manual¡¯
¡®This¡¡..isn¡¯t this the very same thing I was yearning for?¡¯ Tian Huang exclaimed in his heart and a new-found respect for the halo of a MC emerged in his heart.
Flipping the book open to its first page, Tian Huang read the short description of the manual with a thumping heart.

¡®Domineering, really domineering. Ah, who would have though I would get my hands on such a manual so fast. Hah, I guess it¡¯s my destiny to be an OP mc.¡¯ Tian Huang joked as he flipped to the next page.

¡®Well, that¡¯s convenient. No need to spend days and weeks trying to decipher such a complicated book.¡¯
Without any hesitation, Tian Huang said ¡®yes¡¯. As soon as he said that, the book in his hand transformed into yellow light and rushed into the space between his brows. Before Tian Huang could react, his mind was assaulted with vast amount of information. For a second, Tian Huang almost felt like his head would explode and a severe headache assaulted his mind. After a few minutes, the pain in his head subsided and Tian Huang¡¯s whole body was covered in sweat.
¡®Phew, I wasn¡¯t expecting the assimilation to be so intense.¡¯
As Tian Huang calmed down, he inspected the new information he had in his mind. The [World Defying Heavenly Manual] was divided into 10 layers and the very first layer was called [Yin-Yang Codex]. According to the manual, the [Yin-Yang Codex] will transform his body into the supreme body of Yin-Yang. Though Tian Huang had no idea what a supreme body of Yin-Yang meant, since it sounded so awesome, it had to be something good.
Itching to try out his new technique, Tian Huang cleared his mind and entered a meditative state. Thanks to the memories of the previous Tian Huang, he had a pretty good idea of how to guide the spiritual energy from the surrounding and he did it according to [Yin-Yang Codex]. Soon, a bright yellow and icy blue colored energy revolved around Tian Huang¡¯s body and entered his body through his pores. It revolved around his meridians and eventually got deposited into his dantian. Tian Huang soon observed that the white colored fog previously present in his dantian suddenly started experiencing a strange attraction and got sucked in by the yellow and blue colored streams of energy. Tian Huang was surprised for a second but soon discovered that the blue and yellow streams of energy were spiritual energy as well, but they were 5 -6 times more potent and dense than the energy he used to absorb earlier. This clearly showed the difference between a lowly yellow grade cultivation manual and an OP one. This meant, the current him was almost five times more powerful than any of his peers in 4thlevel of Foundation Stage.
Tian Huang immersed himself in cultivation and unknowingly cultivated the whole night without rest. As the first rays of sunshine descended, Tian Huang slowly opened his eyes. Astonishment was clearly visible on his face. Surprisingly he had directly broken through two stages and entered the 6thlevel of Foundation Stage with just one night of cultivation. Upon further thought, Tian Huang realized it was nothing abnormal. After all the manual he cultivated did have the words ¡®World-Defying¡¯ on it and as a MC, he was bound to fast-cultivate otherwise how will he stream-roll those arrogant young geniuses of large sects/clans?
As Tian Huang inspected his dantian, he found its inner world divided into yellow and blue colored fog. The yellow region was emitting suffocating heat while the blue region was emitting bone-chilling coldness. If he was not wrong, the yellow one was the yang energy whereas the blue one was the yin energy which he had cultivated with [Yin-Yang Codex]. Tian Huang could also feel his body had gone earth-shaking changes and was many times stronger and tougher than yesterday.

Sure enough, the system informed him as soon as he finished his cultivation. What surprised Tian Huang was the mention of SP(Skill Points).

There was no mention of SP in the status window. Wait, there should be a skill log in this system as well right?¡¯ Deciding to test his hypothesis, Tian Huang mentally commanded.

Suddenly a pop-up box appeared reading ¡®Please select the skill you wish to upgrade¡¯. As Tian Huang selected the only skill he had, the screen flashed again and another pop-up appeared reading ¡®Insufficient SP¡¯. Tian Huang now understood how the upgrading system worked and closed the window. He had to break through 7thlevel of Foundation Stage to initiate the upgrade. Tian Huang was not in a hurry and according to his calculations it will take him around 2-3 days to break through 7thlevel. Greatly pleased with his progress, Tian Huang was just planning to head outside to meet his family when footsteps sounded outside his courtyard and a graceful woman walked into his room.
