《The Iridis Experiment》 Chapter 0. The authors note So i just wanted to add this in really quickly just to make sure i dont get any backlash on some topics, and also to clear a couple of things. First off, Hello! i am the author of the iridis experement. I couldnt think of anything else besides somthing edgy and in a diffrent language for a title since i am still working on expanding my creative mind... i guess. This is my first book so expect a lot of typos and repeated sentences. I am hoping to learn from this first... i guess you could say test to see if im any good at satisfying readers and stuff. so expect things to be rocky. Second, the way charicters minds are set in this universe is nothing to what people are now in this progressive era, but i need things to be a little spicy for the story,This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. Third, i am in a physical condition that limits my movement in some ways, so some of our protagionists feelings are based off of my own in situations that i have experienced. Fourth, the setting that this story takes place in is a not so distiant yet ''futuristic'' setting of earth. with there being robots, automated caretaking systems, those sorts of things, but not too far to say that earth has found the cure to all the diseases, or that we have found new alien life forms, because those sorts of things will take centuries to complete, however, trips to planets in our solarsystem arent impossible, but its really expensive and its kinda like that vacation that you will have to spend years upon years to save up enough to stay there for 3 days. This is the end of the authors notes, any and all feedback is welcome, and i hope that you will enjoy my first ever... webnovel? this is a webnovel right? yeah, yeah lets just say its a webnovel. Chapter 1. Beginning The sight of a bright red ball bouncing along the sidewalk as two children played in the bright baking heat of summer could be seen. A group of parents, sitting on benches enjoying the sweet release of ice cream whilst catching up on how each family was doing. A mother, gently caressing a small bundle of cloth with a baby inside, thinking about what new clothes to buy her newborn daughter. A blue sky, white clouds, in a dazzling park, a truly perfect summer day. A gentle breeze tickled the newborns face as it pushed the parks trees, leaves, and people. The wind had pushed a little too hard, making the kickball bounce away from the park onto a nearby road, nobody saw this except for the two children, the first child went over to the road to pick up the bright red ball. As he slowly approached the ball, it had already gone from the side of the road to the middle of road, he picked the ball off of the black road and showed it too his friend, letting them know the ball was not hurt in any way. He began to strut back towards the park his chest full of pride from getting the ball out of the street, before hearing a very loud noise. The child dropped the ball as it rolled to the saftey of the park to look at what the noise was and why it kept on getting louder, and louder. Once the child looked up, all he could see was a bright light, then, a darkness that had swallowed him whole. This book is hosted on another platform. Caged All Elliot could hear were screams and shouts of blurred sound, Bright globs of lights constantly racing through a melted vision, and once again, darkness. Elliot''s eyes flashed open as he lay upon a snow-white bed, with flowers on the right side of him sitting on a white bedside table. Elliot felt panic, waking up in a place he didnt know, so he tried to shout for his parents but all that would come out would be a garbled noise. His throat would begin to throb and burn whenever he called out to them in this alien voice. He looked to his side to see his arms on both sides of him, with his fingers curled halfway into a fist, but, there was something strange about his hands, they felt as though they werent his, he tried to move his arms, but they wouldnt move, so he tried to move his legs, his toes, his feet. All of them wouldnt move as they stood frozen in awkward positions. The only things he could really move were his eyes. A woman with white attire barged into the room, and looked at Elliot with eyes as though she was looking at lost puppy, Elliot tried to call out to her, but it hurt him even more. Elliot got mad at this, he felt trapped, caged, and he needed to get out. In an act of desperation, he started shaking on the bed, Screaming, shouting, no matter how hard it hurt him, trying to get off of the bed and walk on his own two feet. The woman ran out of the room in a panic and returned with three other people, one other woman and two men, one with glasses and the other with a red tie. They carried a large machine with a mask and lowered it onto Elliot''s face. He felt the mask and the gas coming from it choking him, so screamed louder, struggling as hard as he could to get off of the bed and run away from this, and run into his mothers loving embrace. His struggles began to soften as the room around Elliot began to get more and more hazy, with everything becoming a blur of colors. This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. --- After a couple of days, Elliot understood most of the boundaries of his body, and that he could move, but it would take up almost all of his energy to even move even a finger. When he was finally able to see his parents, only his father came, his mother was too busy taking care of Elliots little sister so she couldnt come. His father looked at him with eyes of sorrow, crying when he looked at his face. When the doctor talked to his father, all he could overhear were the words brain damage and spine Elliot was confused to what this meant, and all he wanted to do was come home. After a few more days, Elliot was allowed to go back to his house, but not before his father had to load heavy machines into their family car. Elliot was lifted up into the car, and his seatbelt was put on him, but not before getting caught on his arm, which Elliot couldnt move out of the way. Once the door was shut, his father climbed into the front seat and started to drive back to their home. Chapter 3. A family After Sitting in his fathers car for hours upon end, Elliot finally saw his house, and couldnt wait to see his mother and his sister, whom he wanted to play with. The house was big, but at the same time not too big. It didnt stand out from all of the other houses in his small neighborhood, but it was something to look at. As his father slowly parked his car in their garage, and lifted Elliot from the car onto a wheelchair. The wheelchair was a standard wheelchair that could be seen in hospitals all the time. The hospital gave the wheelchair to serve Elliot as his own temporary wheelchair. After setting him down, Elliot looked at his door and saw it was elevated on a tall slab of concrete, Elliots father put his wheelchair on breaks and went inside of his house. Once he had returned, he had a makeshift ramp that was just a slab of wood. When his father began to push him up the ramp, it slipped and made the wheelchair fall back down again, jerking Elliot forward and making him want to scream out of terror for a moment and his heart feeling as though it was about to burst. Once the ramp was put back in place his father put the wheelchair on the ramp again, only this time, Elliot was frightened and didnt want to do it again, but he couldnt voice his complaints as his throat was still burning. --- Once Elliot was finally in his house, he was rolled to his mother who was with his baby sister, once setting her down in her crib, Elliots mother looked at him and gave him a hug. When she was hugging him, Elliot felt happy, but at the same time angry, why couldnt he wrap his arms around her and give her a hug, why couldnt he just walk up the steps instead of being jerked back and forth again and again, why? While thinking of these things, Elliot accidentally started to drool and his mother jerked back and looked at him with disgust for a moment, before taking a napkin and wiping herself off again. She then focused her attention to his sister which confused Elliot, why had she not resumed her hug, why did she look at him like that. These things pestered Elliot, but before he knew it, he was being placed in his bed, he realized it was very late and decided that rest was what he needed. This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. --- Elliot awoke to the feeling of sandpaper in his throat, and realized he needed to get some water, as he began to get off his bed, he realized that he was not moving at all. He tried to shout out for his mother or his father, but all that came out was a painful loud gargling. Once his mother and father awoke, they came to him with their eyes filled with insomnia and a feeling he had never seen before when they looked at him, irritation. He tried to tell them that he needed water, but all they could do was just look at him, not knowing what he wanted. This happened for more than a few minutes before Elliots throat hurt so much where it felt like there were knives scratching his throat, and he had to stop. Elliots parents were confused, from their point of view, their son started screaming at three A.M, and stopped only after a couple of minutes. They didnt know what to do and they were tired so they decided to head back to bed. Elliot slept sleeplessly uncomfortably and thirst that night, with his throat tormenting him. Chaper 4. Academy Eight years had passed since Elliot had first arrived at his house, and a fluid system had been set in stone. First, Elliot would wake up and an automated system would carry him around his room, brushing his teeth, make him go to the bathroom, and make him shower. Once done, the system would take him to his family''s dining area, in which he would eat mushed up foods such as carrots, potatoes, or chicken. During this mealtime, Elliot would not share a word with his family as they talked about the last show his little sister preformed in, or how proud they are of her. And while Elliot would sit silently eating his mush, he would mostly think about how long it had been since his parents had talked to him. Once breakfast was done, Elliot would be taken outside of his house, and then given to his caretaker, who took him too his school. --- At Elliots school, he would follow a strict schedule as his caretaker would roll him where he needed to go when he needed to go. First, when Elliot arrived at his school, he would be taken to his first class, where they dumped people with mental disabilities. Here, he would be given his lessons. The criteria that his class was given was the same as every other class of his grade, although it was watered down to the extreme. While other classes would learn sentences of different languages, he would be given the first syllable. This irritated Elliot to the extreme, because he knew that he was not getting the education he needed to live by himself. After half of the school day had ended, the lunch bed would ring and Elliot would be pushed around the halls to his classes private lunchroom, which was just a room with plastic tables and hardwood floors. On occasion, Elliot would get a glance of his old best friend Erin. He had not talked with Erin in the last 6 years, as she left him for other friends, now, she acted like she didnt even know Elliot, which he could understand, but it hurt him. Once Lunch was done, back to class, and when class was done. He would be taken back to his house by his caretaker, and placed in his room. Occasionally, while in his room, Elliot would be visited by his little sister, who would talk about her day and vent to him about all her frustrations. she was the only person who saw him as someone who could think for himself. Once this was done, the automated system would act up again, and do what it did in the morning, although this time he would be put into his bed. Then rinse and repeat for the day after, and the day after.Stolen novel; please report. --- *One Year Later* In A small doctors office in a large hospital, a woman sat sifting through patient files, she was able to get to these files after seducing the doctor who owned the office. The woman didnt understand why she was assigned to this mission, she was the youngest and one of the most effective agents, yet she was assigned to getting patient files. This frustrated her, as she knew that this mission was just wasting her time. After a few minutes of sifting, she found a file that seemed to be just what she needed to complete this mission and leave this hospital. The File contained a patient named Elliot Fion, Apparently, when the patient was four, he got hit by a truck and suffered serious damage to his brain, spinal cord, and vocal cords. The PET scan showed that the cerebrum was damaged, but something was not right with the scan. The woman decided to download this patients file onto a usb and head back to her handlers car. She began to dial a number as the car sped away from the hospital. Chapter 5. Midnight ---One Month Later--- Elliot sat uncomfortably in his Caretakers car, who was currently driving him to his sisters latest showing. This particular concert made Elliot uncomfortable because this one was being hosted at a large mansion, packed to the brim with people who had fake smiles of plated gold. With sounds of fake smiles congesting the room, making it almost impossible for Elliot to breathe. When Elliot and his caretaker arrived, he could see his sister shaking hands, while his parents were constantly fishing for complements about his little sister. Elliot always arrived in his caretakers van, instead of coming with his parents, due to their wishes of not wanting Elliot to be seen with them. As Elliot was rolled into the largest room, where all the guests were currently staying at. Elliot was rolled to a corner, this action was appreciated by Elliot. In the corner, nobody would look at him, and no children would stare at him, he could be away from all the fake smiles and laughter and just wait. ---An Hour Later--- Elliot was rolled near the exit as all the party guests began to sit down, and talk in anticipation of the concert. Once the lights dimmed, and people began to go up to the stage, one person went up to the front of the stage, and began to thank all of the guests for coming to the concert. This person kept on talking, and talking, and then mentioned about how glad they were for his little sister to be playing at this concert. As the person continued Elliot heard some idle conversation pass through his ears. "so thats the famous prodigy, Amanda Fion?"? "Yes, I hear that she picked up the violin at age 3, and had a natural talent for it." "Yes, an only child, manages to master the piano at such a young age, truly astounding.? After hearing those words, something in Elliot broke, An only child. Thats what Elliot''s existence was now, he didnt exist, Elliot needed to get out, he felt like he was suffocating and he needed to get out. He started to move his body with all his might, managing to hit his caretaker in the face, and alert him that something was wrong. After some trial and error, the caretaker finally brought Elliot outside to the front of the mansion, near the open road. Elliot''s caretaker hadn''t gone to the bathroom since the beginning of the party, so he had to go to the bathroom. Elliot didn''t mind, he knew the need to go since it happened to him occasionally when he was asleep. Once his caretaker quickly dashed to the bathroom, Elliot looked out into the road, is this what his life had come to? Not allowed to be shown with his family, being placed in a school which if anything, was making him dumber every day, eating mush, and almost never talking to his family, and his only friend not even acknowledging his existence. Elliot tilted his eyes to look at the moon, almost at the peak of the night. As Elliot kept his eyes on the moon, a breeze began to roll his chair onto the road, Elliot had forgotten about his breaks. The breeze carried Elliot all the way over to the middle of the road. Once the wind stopped, all that Elliot could do was wait, and wait, for his caretaker. After a few seconds, Elliot could see a large light in the middle of the road. This kicked Elliot into panic mode as he constantly moved his body left and right, left and right. After constantly moving left and right, Elliot fell off his wheelchair, falling to the road, after constantly moving left and right, Elliot was able to get on his back. But with his left arm being sprawled on the ground, Elliot tried to move over again, but once he was on his back, he couldn''t get off. And move. When Elliot looked at the sky, he could see the moon, at its peak in the starry night sky. When Elliot tilted his eyes downward, he could see a large red surface, and then, darkness. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. --- An emergency had occurred and due to the slacking of their agents, the subject had been damaged, and they needed to get him out of there. The agent in charge dialed a number, and once he had removed the phone away from his ear. He ordered his men to stand down and away from panic, this was in fact, a blessing in disguise for them, as this would be the chance to extract the subject, and take him to home base. Chapter 6. A proposition Blurred lights flashed before Elliot''s eyes as he could hear muffled voices, and see blurred images of people in dark suits, with people in snow white clothing dotting his vision, and then, a quick cut back to darkness. --- When Elliot opened his eyes, he was in a large, wooden chair, with wires littering the dark room around him. when he looked directly in front of him, he could see a large rectangle plane of glass in the front of the room, and a metal door on the side. With him in front of a metal desk with a fold up metal chair on the other side of the metal desk. As Elliot tried to remember what had happened to him during the party last night, the metal door made a sound as a man in a black suit entered the room. The man was a tall, brown haired man, with bright green eyes and a wrinkled face. The man sat down on the chair adjacent to Elliot and brought out a beige colored file. The man began to silently read the file, leaving Elliot in a confused state wondering what the heck was going on. The man slowly lowered the file from his face and looked at elliot straight in the eyes. "Your name?"? Elliot stared back into the man''s eyes, did he seriously think that Elliot, of all people could talk to him, and why would he tell him his name of all things. "Your name!" The Man asked in a much fiercer tone than last time, with his voice sounding like a drill sergeant, that could make even the most confident man, pee in his pants. Out of reflex Elliot responded saying "Elliot Foin!"? This made Elliot confused, that was what he meant to say, but his voice, instead of sounding like garbled nonsense, his voice sounded like one of the first gen AI''s that were used in old phones. A robotic, male voice that pronounced his last name wrong, which irritated elliot to an extreme.Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel. "Ok then Mr.Foin, I imagine that you have plenty of questions, and I will answer them to the best of my ability."? The man''s voice had simmered down to a gentle tone, and once he said he would answer Elliots questions, Elliot''s mind began to race with what to ask first, after a few minutes of contemplation, Elliot had arrived at his first question, and the most important one to him. "How am I able to speak, and why does my voice sound like a first generation sire?"? "Hm, I didn''t expect that to be the first question, but, I guess that''s the first question from a man who hasn''t had the liberty to speak for nine years. Right now there are wires sticking out of your head, picking up what your mind wants to say, and then saying it through a speaker that''s sitting behind your chair. That''s your first question, anything else?" After thinking about it some more, Elliot came up with another question "Where am I! And how did I get here!" "Ah finally, the elephant in the room has been addressed, do you remember what happend to you last night?"? Elliot began to race for answers as to what happened to him last night, he was pushed onto the road, saw a light incoming, fell of his wheelchair, got onto his back, looked in front of him, and then it all went to black. "You were pulled into the road by the wind, and then, you got hit by a truck."? This suddenly made Elliot''s eyes burst open as he felt a rush of fear pass over him "However, thanks to your reactions, you were able to fall onto the road on your back, letting most of your body receive no damage. However, you did hurt your head, giving yourself a minor concussion, and sadly, a part of your arm was crushed by the truck''s tires. So you needed to have immediate medical attention, and that''s where we responded almost immediately, taking you to our doctors at a minutes notice.?" This confused Elliot, making him ask another question "How did you know that I was hurt, and, who are you people? The man smiled and said these simple words. "Mr Foin, before any further personal questions are asked, i would like to make a proposition for you." Elliot responded with a curious look "Yes, imagine if you could move, walk, and talk once again, would you do it?" "Yes"? Elliot automatically responded with yes, it was his dream to move again, he wanted to move again, wanted to feel the rush of the wind as he ran across his neighborhood. Most of all, he wanted to get up, and get a midnight snack when he felt hungry at night. "What if we could make you have all these things again, and even more with that."? Elliots eyes began to brighten, he knew that if they could give him back his voice, they could most likely give him back his freedom. However, something in Elliot''s mind clicked, why would they do this for him of all people, and, what was the catch. "Why me? Why not someone else who needs this more?" The man looked at Elliot and said "Power is never given to the ones who need it, it never has and it never will, quite frankly if the details of this experiment did not have so many different factors going into play. You would have just been sent to a regular hospital, to carry on with your life. The reason you were chosen was because you fit all the requirements for this test."? "And those requirements being?" "Your brain is different from most of the brains out there in the world, tell me Mr.Foin, what causes synesthesia?" "Increased connections in the visual part of the brain?" Elliot knew this because one of the kids in his class was a synisthete, and would not stop talking about how rare it was and how special it is. "Yes, it causes them to see colors, and to hear colors, your brain has a higher connectivity than most brains. Although, not high enough to show any major changes. However, this will let your body accept the changes that we will do to you. This is why you were chosen for the experiment."? "What is this experiment''s name?" "What do people say is the gateway to the soul Mr.Foin?"Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. "The eye?" "Yes, and the iris is the protector of the eyes weakness, the pupil, shielding it from the rest of the eye. This is why we named the project, the iridis experiment, after iris in latin, signifying a guardian protecting the pupil from the rest of the world."? This confused Elliot, making him wonder what type of fanboy first came up with the name. "What''s the catch of this, surely this won''t come for free."? "Nothing is free Mr.Foin, in return for your new body, you will be subjected into training regiments, and you will become an iris, a protector, of us, and the world around us."? "What about my family, do they know about this?" "Your family believes your dead Mr.Foin, and I suspect you know how they reacted to this."? "I have to go to my family, show them i''m alive, or at least, say a last goodbye to them"? The man looked at Elliot, with a hit of an amused expression on his face, and he said lightheartedly to Elliot. "A last goodbye Mr.Foin? Perhaps you would like to see how your family showed their last goodbye to you."? Elliot looked at him with a confused look on his face and said "Ok?" The next thing elliot knew, he was injected with a white serum by the man, and Elliot fell asleep. --- Elliot jolted awake by a thud as his eyes burst open, he was currently in a van, moving through a rough terrain as the man sat next to elliot. "Where are we?!"? "We are currently going to your final resting place, picked out by your father and your mother"? The car continued to move until it finally slowed down, from the front of the car, a man in dark glasses responded with an emotionless expression. "We''re here"? Elliot was then picked up by another man in glasses, although this one was completely bald, showing the sun, shining on his oily head. When Elliot was put down onto a wheelchair, he saw a patch dirt, standing out inside of the thick foresty area that he was currently in. "This is your family''s final goodbye to you Mr.Foin, when you were pronnounced dead, we were able to a replica of your body made for your parents. Hidden inside was a GPS marker, and here is where they decided to burry your body."? Elliot''s mind began to race and scream in confusion as he saw his grave, it was not even a grave, just a patch of dirt in the middle of the woods. Elliot kept on thinking that they would not do this, but in reality, what was Elliot to them? He was nothing to them, he didn''t even exist, he was just something they fed, and all he was was extra baggage to them. Not even his sister had left him anything, and he thought he could trust her, but in the end, he was just something to talk to. She could easily be talking to a stuffed bear for all she cared, the man leaned in next to Elliot and said. "Now Mr.Foin, we have two options, we can either let you go back to your parents in a miracle, or, you can choose to have everything you lost come back to you in a fresh start. Please choose wisely as there is no going back once you have chosen your decision." Elliot almost could not hear him as he felt himself drowning in his own sorrows. Then an anger swept over him, and he had decided his choice. He opened his mouth and said. "I have decided.?" The man smiled and said "Good."? Chapter 7.5 The Splitting Timeline 1940 Japan and the Axis powers scientists discover a new and efficient way to store and create nuclear energy, recycling all of the waste in the process. 1940-1942 The Axis powers begin to create wondrous technologies, making leaps and bounds in all sorts of subjects, although the main department that was being funded was experimental weapons, and the scientists there came through with incredible weapons, able to destroy fleets of naval battleships in mere moments. 1942 During the battle of midway, the axis powers enforces their new tech, devastating the us naval fleet and moral plummeting for the rest of the army. 1943 The Axis powers begin to take over the Americas from the inside out, by hiring spies and giving promises of high ranks to soldiers if they betrayed the Americas. Since the battle of midway, plenty of soldiers are turning on their own squads, making the U.S army weaker than it was in any point of given history. 1944 World war II is already coming to a close as The axis powers constantly claiming new land and enforcing it with their new tech and rapidly growing armies and tech, making life for the groups that were hated by the axis powers even more dreadful, but also creating a tiny spark of rebellion. 1945 The Axis powers have taken over all of europe, swallowing everything, even their own allies, and america has been given to japan as a sign of peace to show that both countries were fine with each other existing. 1950 The Axis powers begin to swallow Japan from within, turning all representatives of the axis powers that were in japan against their armies, overwhelming Japan whom had not prepared whatsoever. 1951This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. The Axis powers control america, Japan, and all of Europe, and is still hungry for more power, however, they decide to focus on developing their own technologies instead of invading any more countries. 1967 The spark that was once lit had turned into a raging fire, after the Axis powers had become careless, a rebellion had begun to ensue, however it had stayed hidden in the shadows, using the own axis tactics against them, and began to take over from inside. 1989, The Rebellion had begun to ensue, and a battle had broken out before anyone knew what had happened. The rebels were well prepared, after hiding in the shadows, they had come well equipped, trained, and were no match for the unprepared axis powers. The battle would be known in the history books as the turning point for the rebellion, as during the battle, many of the axis powers troops and fighting units were destroyed. 1991 After many battles, The Rebels had begun to take land for themselves, freeing slaves and giving food and shelter to those who crossed their borders. 1992 The Axis powers had hit a roadblock in their research, as a rogue scientist stole all of the recent intel on weapons, food production, and water purification. giving it to the rebels and making their forces stronger. 1993 With the newfound intel, The rebels had reclaimed america, and during this time, Japan had gained hope, started to create a rebellion of their own, slowing taking back their homeland just as the americans did. 1994 Both rebellions had decided to join forces in shutting down the Axis powers once and for all. Taking advantage of every soldier they could, to turn them into a spy, or for them to turn on their fellow soldiers. 1997 After numerous historical battles, the Rebels are beginning to overtake the axis powers, giving them land in europe, and helping refugees from europe get to America. 1999 The Axis powers are beginning to fall apart after their leader, Adolf hitler, dies after he was mysteriously poisoned. The poison that was being used was a type of poison made from the stolen intel that was taken a few years back. 2000 After Hitler''s demise, the Axis powers fell apart under the rebellions flag, and a new battle had begun, cleaning up the damage, and rebuilding a better tomorrow. 2010 After years of rebuilding, both rebellions and dissipated into governments, taking the land and using terraforming technologies to re-form the lands from the barren battlegrounds, into large cities. However, the people who ran the governments had grown up in the axis world, keeping some of the teachings about lower people''s showing minor feats of racism to those who had lesser ability than others. Chapter 8 A sea of People -New tokyo city 2 years later--- The bustling streets of a monday in new tokyo city were a sight to behold, millions of people walking along the street, each having their own individual purpose, not caring about the person next to them. Among the sea of people was Elliot, dressed in a tall black suit, with a white tie and handkerchief to go with it. Elliot was currently standing still in the sea of people as he was looking through the crowd for someone. Elliot was continuously looking until he found the person he was looking for, and began to pursue him. As Elliot was pursuing his target, the target began to run, so Elliot began to run after him, Elliota€?s target began to sprint for his life as he broke from the stream with Elliot following behind on his tail. Elliota€?s target began to run into a dark alleyway with a getaway car waiting for him, Elliot began to sprint towards his target as he was making his escape. As the car roared to life, it began to take off from the alleyway, and began to hover off of the ground. Elliot stopped and stared directly at the fleeting car, and all of time stopped. When time stopped, Elliot took extra caution at how he moved, because when he moved, so did the car. Elliot pulled out his Charge pistol and took aim, he shot three bullets of energy, and then, time resumed, the two shots hit the main stabilizers, and the third directly turned off the generator of the car, making it spin out of control and crash into a building. This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. Elliot walked towards the wreckage and looked at his target, Male, bald, with a blood red jacket and beige pants with a backpack slung over his shoulder. Elliot stared directly into the man''s eyes, before pulling him out of the wreckage along with two other men, one the driver of the vehicle, and the other who was armed with a run of the mill, standard pistol. Elliot then relived the first man of his backpack, and began to auto-call his handler. "Hello?" "Yeah, its me, i got the guy along with the other two men, can you send someone to clean up this mess while i get this intell back to you guys?"? "Ok, i''ll send someone over to pick you up"? Elliot sighed as he sat down with his back resting on the wall of a building, he was still new to his job, but it was the most exhilarating thing he had ever done in his life. Granted, all he did in his last life, was just sit on his butt all day, never doing anything fun. Elliot sat, as he waited for his handlers car to appear in the distance. Chapter 9 A true Beggining ---1 year and 11 months earlier-- It had been one month since Elliot had accepted the offer from the the man in the suit. Once he had accepted, he was whisked away back to compound he had found himself in one month ago. Once he was taken back to the compound, he was placed inside of a white room, with a bed, toilet, and a carpet floor. Each day, Elliot would be fed by men in identical white sleeveless t-shirts and long white pants, reminding Elliot of caretakers at senior centers. He would then be taken to another white room, which looked like a doctor''s office, he would then be examined and have his blood taken. He would also, on occasion, get an MRI scan of his whole body. Elliot hated the scans as they were extremely loud and it would make his brain shake in his head. He would then be taken back to the first room, and be fed again. He would then be placed in front of a television, and watch tv shows for the next few hours, the television that he was placed in front of had dozens of interesting channels for Elliot to watch, so he quite liked this arrangement. He would then be fed one more time, before being placed in his bed, and put to sleep. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. This would continue for a full month until one day, where instead of being taken back to the regular doctor''s office, he was taken to large room. The room was white with a large window placed on one of the walls. This window showed into another room, where there were scientists in large white overcoats taking notes and fiddling with large computers. Elliot was then lowered into the pod, as he heard a large voice through speakers coming from the other room. "Good evening Mr Foin, I do hope that you recognize this voice?"? How could Elliot forget that voice, it was the voice that had promised him a change of life, it was the man in the suit. "I suspect you are wondering what''s happening right now, and what the pod you are in does"? Elliot had to admit, he was a bit curious as to what the whole shebang was about. "This pod is fitted with all sorts of surgical tools, that will allow us to perfectly make incisions on your body and brain, making sure no mistakes occur. Are you ready for your new, your true beginning?"? Elliot looked straight up and assured himself, he was ready, there was no going back, but he was ready. "Well then, let''s go ahead and begin the procedure"? The door to the pog closed as Elliot felt woozy, with his sight becoming a hazed distortion, Elliot''s sight kept on getting darker and darker, until a full darkness swallowed Elliot and everyone around him. Chapter 12. end So... i have been a bad author. But i have been getting better and better with iridis, its been making me more of an author than any amount of school could. And im happy with Iridis, but i dont feel its strong enough, it was my first writing work, and it was... ok in my eyes. But i want to make somthing better, something that could actually appeal to others than myself, i love iridis, but i dont think its good enough. Thats why i have approached @Evil to do a collaberation with me, and he actually accepted! Currently chapter 1 is being made and frankly... it looks pretty awesome. It will be better than iridis, but take on elements from it. I hope everyone who liked iridis will check it out, as we will be uploading it to my account. If you liked iridis, you will love this new story. School has been tough, and i have been getting lots of homework to the point where i dont get any free time during the weekends on occasion. So thats why im glad i have someone to work with me. I will be deleting Iridis in the next 24 hours, so re-read as much as you want. Before i go, i wana say thank you. To all who gave me comments helping me grow, or just complementing my story. It means alot, so much whenever i see those comments, because i know that people are enjoying my story, the thing I made. So just... thank you. Thank you so much. The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation. Its Here! After working hard with Evil, me and him have been able to create Hollowed Out! Its a new story that we had made together, and its quality is better than Iridis. I am glad and sad that i let go of iridis, but i want to work on new, better stories. I just wana say thank you, and i hope you will join me on this new adventure of writing, seeing those whom hate, seeing those whom support, and those who give advice. Here is the link to where you can find it:http://royalroadl.com/fiction/14359/hollowed-outYou might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. However, if you dont want to click the link, for some reason, you can just click my moustache and find it in the fictions that i have written. Im happy to say goodbye, and welcome, because now, ill be working better, faster, stronger, and the chapters will be longer. I hope to add one or two iridis easter eggs in there, so keep an eye out. I hope you enjoy the creation of me and evil.
