Lily who seems to notice that Hiro was lying replied. Liliana who was worried for her friend Hiro decided to go home together with him since they were neighbors. As they were about to grab Lily, Hiro suddenly got up and charged to the bullies using his body to prevent them from grabbing Lily. Because of the pain from his injuries, Hiro can only barely see anything. It was dark but he noticed a small light. He used the remaining strength that he had and reached his hand towards the light. There he noticed that the sound he heard from earlier and the light that he saw was from his phone. He checked his phone even though he was barely conscious. There he saw a mail notification. After using all of my strength to reply to that weird message, I suddenly got transferred into a white room. Inside the white room was an old man seating behind the table with a huge digital screen. When he noticed that I was looking at him, he then waved his hand signalling me to go to him. I sat on the vacant chair next to the table and he suddenly spoke, "Aren''t you surprisingly calm?" He touched his beard and laughingly continued, "Most people will be like ''who are you?'' or ''where am I?'' But you are the first one who hasn''t spoken a single word yet or maybe you are just scared? Hahaha!" This old man seems to be very talkative. I am really bad handling these kind of people, I thought. "Well anyway, I already know you from the records that I have just read and watched." He then searched for something and placed a folder on top of the desk. "Hiro Cross, sixteen, male, a student, a gamer, plays games in order to escape reality and died because of bullies. It seems I am like a cheater in this world with these abilities. I closed the stats window "Skills" As soon as I activated the command, the skill window opened. Skills: N/A I need to know where and how I''m going to acquire more skills. I closed the skill window and walked deep into the forest. I noticed that this forest is so peaceful with no animals. I was expecting that a beast or monster would appear since I placed it as one of the features. After strolling for a while, I noticed a small wooden cottage near a cliff. Then when I went near the cottage, I saw the vast blue sea. Before going inside the house, I noticed a stone pillar at the end of the cliff. Each finger has its special kind of skill. Lv1 Contract (Pinky)- creates a pact that is blessed by the light between the user and the target. Can be used on both humanoids and monsters. This is a very strange set of skills... Why the hell is this based on fingers? After reading, I went inside the small cottage. Inside the cottage was a small desk, a doublebed, a bookshelf and a wooden chest. In the small desk was a small notebook. I held the notebook with my hands and opened it. I read the contents that was written inside. Chapter 2: First Encounter "Lily get away from here fast!" I opened my eyes as I felt my body ache and heard a loud sound of something falling. It was a dream huh? I was lying on the floor. I looked at the surrounding and it seems that I am still in the cottage. I fixed myself up and sat on the chair to prepare for breakfast. When I said to prepare for breakfast it was just playing with the inventory and deciding what to eat from the items inside the storage. It took me a while to choose from the variety of food and after eating the meal I went outside. Since I can come back here using that key i figured that I should leave this place. I need to find other humans and learn more about this world. I expected that this forest has some monsters but how come I haven''t seen one yet? I went to explore deeper into the woods and after fifteen minutes of walking I received a notification. [You have left the safe zone of this dungeon.] Eh? So that is why there are no monsters. I guess the heroes must have placed a barrier or something in this area. This means that monsters would appear from now on. I should be careful. I took out the short sword that I have from the inventory in case something will happen. Moments later as I was walking along a road that I discovered, a small pig appeared. The small pig was staring at me as if it was going to attack. It moved its legs like a bull who is prepared to charge and the pig dashed towards me. I gripped my sword tightly as I jumped to the side and dodged the small pig''s charge. I remembered my ability All-seeing Eyes. "Insight" I quickly activated and the stats of the small pig appeared. I prepared my sword and as soon as it was in range I used all of my strength to slash towards the pig. The small animal was slashed by my sword and blood splattered all over. A voice of a pig suffering can be heard. As the noise can''t be heard anymore stopped the body of the pig became a small orb of light and vanished into thin air. Even when the body disappeared the blood that came from the pig smeared all over my sword stayed. Just like in games when the body vanish a small wooden chest dropped. There was the Wild Boar that I met first, a weird mushroom that has eyes and uses spores to attack, and a wild black dog. At this moment I am facing another boar but this one is much bigger than the first one and its tusk are larger and sharper. The boar was now panicking since it is near its death. A burst of energy suddenly rose and enveloped its body. I used all of my strength to dodge to the right immediately but I was still hit in my shoulder. *crack* It was painful and I can''t move my left shoulder properly. It seems to be broken. Without giving me rest the boar charged again but this time even though it hurts I coped up all my energy to hit the boar one last time and *ougghhh* The boar cried its demise and fell. It then became light and vanished leaving a silver chest behind. Icame across two paths when I was walking for nearly an hour. There was a road sign and it says that the one going left is to the Ridge Mountains and to the right was going to Holy Capital, Palette City. A sudden realization came into my mind. Why am I able to understand the language here? Do they use English?But knowing the reason now won''t really make a difference. The man interrupted with joy in his face and said to the girl. "Yes Sebastian I feel fine now. I only remembered that I suddenly felt sick whenwe were about to ride the carriage." It was too late when I discovered it already hit you." he lowered his head. "It is fine I am okay now. Who is this young man here?." She faced me and wondered who I was. "My name is Hiro Cross I was going to ask for a ride when I learned about your situation and volunteered to help." I gently bowed and told her about the circumstances. "Ah is that so? As thanks for helping me, I''ll arrange it so that you can get into the city''s library free of charge." Lumina smiled as she offered her help. "Really? Thanks a lot. I didn''t know that I needed money to get in the library though." I scratched the back of head and felt embarassed. Should I behave like this in front of a princess? I wondered. The guards approached the carriage and Sebastian who went out notified them that they came back. The guards then straightened their backs and saluted the carriage. The carriage stopped at a fountain surrounded with shops. It seems that they will drop me here. I got down the carriage. "Mr. Hiro from here you can head to that road and you''ll reach an inn called, ''Greenwood Inn''." Sebastian told me as he pointed the direction of the inn. I nodded to tell him that I understood. Princess Lumina came down from the carriage and she reached a badge of some sorts to me. "Hiro, this is the Royal Family''s emblem. Just show this to the guards stationed at the gates of the castle to enter. You can also use this whenever you are in trouble." She smiled as she gave it to me. "Thanks" I thanked her as I received the emblem. Princess Lumina and Sebastian went inside the carriage and it began to leave. I bowed my head and went to direction that Sebastian told me. It took me little time to find the inn. It has a sign on top of its door so I was able to find it easily. I went inside the inn. [Greenwood Inn] "Welcome!" A middle-aged woman greeted asI came inside the inn. "Welcome customer! Are you staying for the night or are you going to have a meal?" A teenage girl who has about the same height as me asked. "One room please." I told her as I made a signal with my hand. "One room costs10 copper per night. It already comes with use of the bath." She told me the price. "I will stay here for a week then How much is it in all?" I asked. "That would be 70 copper coins in all." She replied. I then gave her 1 silver coin. "Mama here''s their payment." She gave the silver coined to the middle-aged woman who seems to be her mother. "Please fillthis form up and here is your change." The lady handed me my change I counted my change. I received 30copper coins. It seems that a silver coin is equal to 100 copper coins. After writing I gave the form back to the lady. "Hiro is it? I forgot to introduce myself, I''m Rebecca and here is my daughter Felicity." The middle-aged woman introduced herself. "I''m Felicity. Nice to meet you Hiro." Her smile was from ear to ear as she introduced herself. "By the way Hiro do you have an identification card? I need to verify if this is your real name or not." Rebecca asked. "Uhmm... Actually, I lost my card on my way here. I even lost my luggage in the forest. Do you know where I can get a new one?" I told a little lie to her. "I heard that if you don''t have a card you need to pay additional tax to enter the city. I must have burned you quite a lot of money. You can get it at either the city hall or the guild. Since there are many kinds of guilds just pick one. You must be tired after all your journey. Just rest for tonight and I''ll tell you where the nearest guild is located. After reading the books about the kingdom, I read a book about monsters it was like a bestiary.
