The princesses heart was set ablaze the and a tear rolled down her face, she had turned to one of the ancient relics and cried, the essence of pain being absorbed into the gargantuan dragon bone monolith. For the next year the princess would come to the same spot in times of sadness and cry onto the dragon bones, as if naturally she was drawn to it in times of pain. The witch The witches hut was dimly lit, candles atop dust covered skulls were lighting her room, she was sat on a rickety old stool brewing mystical potions. She had foreseen the kings death before she was told of the news, and to her prediction coming true came the hate of many of the villagers. Most of the villagers had attempted to stay away from the witch due to her dark and misplaced nature in this happy town. Some even believed her to be the cause of all their misfortune. The witch was a tall beautiful younger green skinned woman wearing dark purple robes. She did not feel that all problems should be blamed on her, she was the town witch and protector of the castle but that was looked passed as soon as some tiny error was apparent. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. As the witch was drinking one of her freshly brewed potions her eyes began to glow, a vision of flames filled her eyes, the dead clawing through the city and a dark robed figure stood atop the towns castle, nearing the finishing of the vision the witch saw the sprouting of wings from behind the building and the sudden thundering take off of a large dragon like figure. She fell to the floor, stumbled across her room, she slammed into her door opening it outwards, the witch sprinted to the castle to the warn her ruler of the impending danger that was ahead. The warning The witch arrived at the castle and was questioned by the guards ¡°what business do you have Witch¡± the first guard scowled. ¡°Their is no time... The entire village is in danger¡±. The guards looked to each other and whispered in disagreement before allowing the witch entry. ¡°Princess Wencefury, we¡¯re about to be attacked, the dead, the dead are coming, a necromancer, he¡¯s on his way now¡± the witch said urgently ¡°And You are?¡± Questioned the princess, ¡°I am cintzf tlezxnox, guardian of the book of spellsmyth, destroyer of the one who watched, collector of ancient artifacts, seer of all and this pitiful little towns witch¡± the witch spoke proudly. ¡°yeah, I was just asking for like a first name, maybe a job but sure that¡¯s quite the list, the names a little odd though, hows Cintlez sound to you?¡±. The witch looked at the princess and questioned what she was planing on doing for the attack ahead ¡°well Cintlez glad you asked, we are going to be fine, you have seen into the future and were able to warn us in time, we¡¯ll have every available unit ready in no time there¡¯s no way we¡¯ll be caught if guard¡±If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Cintlez looked at her and knew not if her plan would work, the plan seemed reasonable but had been thought of in such a short time, it was almost as if the princess was wanting and ready for a battle or as if the princess would believe anything in order to change up her regular routine... Necromancer Invades Their was a dark figure standing on top of the hill outside the village, he was a muscular figure with swamp green skin, his eyes were large and gave of a piercing glare, his teeth were stained red and lips were covered in blood, his ears drooped low and his nose was like a blade. The princess looked to the top of the hill, she whispered to one of her generals who proceeded by lining up all the infantry. The dark necromancer looked at the formation of the army and pointed forwards. In a flash a shot of lighting crackled behind him and an army of the dead proceeded to slump forwards. The general roared out orders and the army formed into attack positions. The dead charged towards, the army were ready for battle. But as the first of the blades struck the dead there was a deafening bellow, the clouds thundered and the ground shook, their was a sudden gust of wind and the sky glowed green, a second later a behemoth of a dragon burst from the ground. The beast was made entirely from bones, aged flesh and sinew but seemed extremely powerful compared to other beasts of the land, the Dracolich had a dark aura surrounding it as if fully tainted by the magic of the necromancer, but there was a weak glow of color suggesting otherwise. The dracolich flew down with emennse force destroying several buildings and setting others ablaze, the villagers ran away from the battle, scattering everywhere that seemed safe, the village soldiers tried to stay strong but many fled, the dead had invaded and only the strongest remained.Enjoying the story? The Witch looked towards the undead beast and saw the flickering of its flame, seeing every so often a tiny flicker of pink. ¡°Princess you have to get me to my hut¡±. The princess nodded towords Cintlez and then back towards her few remaining guards, the princess found and wore a large pauldron and a breast plate and picked two daggers from some of the skeletons on the battle ground. The princess and the witch as well as several guards fought heroically towards the witches hut. Apon entry the witch snapped he fingers the skulls mounted on her walls lit ablaze, a dark black cubord was suddenly visible and the doors were flung open inside were many mystical items, jewels, books, weapons and a staff. The staff was about the same height as the witch with a skull on top. ¡°Jerome¡± said the witch. The staff began to move and with a snake like motion slid out of the cubord, the staff spoke on a posh accent ¡°I have been summoned¡± Cintlez explained the scenario to jerome and wispered that she noticed a change in the aura Jerome laughed and asked to be shown. Cintlez took Jerome and followed by the others went back outside. He watched the draconic beast flying past and came to a conclusion. ¡°This beast contains the essence of a human, if this essence can be hooked onto we may be able to convince whoever¡¯s essence it is to take control of it¡± ¡°We will do what has to be done¡± spoke the witch. The witch drank one of her many potions and focused, Jeromes eyes lit up and a magical energy shot from him to the beast, the dracolich fell to the ground it¡¯s eyes burst into a pink energy and a blinding pink light was expelled from its body the light shon directly onto the princess. The connection was made. Possession The princess looked to the beast, which had crashed dead in its tracks, and it looked back at her. The princess turned to the crowds of undead and the dracolich did the same. The legions of the dead had all come to a halt and gazed upon the creature, their dead eyes were filled with the neon pink reflections of the dragons glow. The princess, almost mimicking what the necromancer had done earlier, had powerfully raised her hand to point to the nearest of the undead, and with the blink of the eye a portion of them were incinerated engulfed by the bright flames and were turned to cinders in seconds. The necromancer looked down upon the village, he looked to his ancient beast who was now corrupted with a strong pink aura and then gazed upon the princess, what looked like fear quickly changed to anger as his gruesome features clenched into a frown. He raised his arms and the remaining dead rushed towards him climbing back over the hill and running away. The necromancer¡¯s arms dropped and he was surrounded by a mist of darkness. A flash of lighting thundered into the mist and the necromancer was not to be seen.Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. The witch was still stunned from what had just happened as were the others, their young princess obliterating a large number of a powerful necromancers forces with his own dragon. ¡°You had a connection to the dragon... how?¡± The Witch asked ¡°I¡¯ve gone to the same spot for the past year in times of sadness¡±. Jerome had slithered over to the princess and stared at the dracolich ¡°I¡¯ve seen a lot of creatures make connections before but a dracolich this young, I¡¯m not sure this has ever been done, you see young and newly formed creatures usually have an extremely powerful bond to their creator, your tears somehow managed to overcome this bond¡± ¡°so what do we do now¡± the princess asked ¡°we have an undead dragon... we can do whatever we want¡± the witch laughed slowly. Preparations The princess and her crew had gone back to the castle, the dracolich waited patiently outside, a crowd had gathered to gaze upon it and the creature seemed to enjoy their presence. The princess and the witch began the preparation for their journey, they were to follow the necromancers path of destruction and end him and his legion of followers. ¡°So we¡¯re gonna put the dragon to use right¡± The witch asked. ¡°I feel a bond with it, it¡¯s like it¡¯s me and I¡¯m it, I i think we must share memories or somthing we understand each other¡± Jerome slipped from the witches grip and slithered over to the window then looked back to the princess. ¡°This is not uncommon my lady, the spell I put on this creature swapped the creatures dark necromantic aura for your very bright pink aura, you were only able to do this due to the essence you left on this creature, I¡¯m not going to lie Miss I¡¯ve never seen this work with a creature this powerful before¡±. ¡°Is that good¡± the princess questioned.Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? Jerome explained how all creatures could be reasoned with if the essence was powerful enough, this was partly why he was working with Cintlez because he had a similar bond that the princess and the dragon did, albeit a short time blood bond rather than a year of tears but this was a similar use of magic. But this concept had never been used on a non living creature of this size before so there was no promise that this would definitely work forever. The princess looked to the dacolich outside, at its bright pink aura, its crown like flame shining above its head, the way it peacefully interacted with the villagers and saw hope. ¡±Have the men got their supplies yet¡± the princess asked her general. ¡°Yes miss all guards are equipped and ready for battle¡±. ¡°Cintlez how about you have you been given everything you need¡± ¡°I have all I need, for now¡± ¡°Alright I¡¯ll go get my stuff and gear up the draco, We leave tommorow at the brake of dawn¡± Rosy Wings The princess awoke and readied, she placed the pauldron and the rest of the pieces that she had taken from the skeletons onto herself, slid the blades into her belt and proceeded by walking down to the royal quort. Waiting for the princess was Cintles "Everyting''s ready, we have 200 soldiers at your comand and Jerome says we may meet some of his ''Freinds'' along the way, im not sure what he means by that but he knows what hes talking about so im sure we''ll be fine".If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. The princess yawned and looked to the general "Alright then is Rosey Wings ready" The general looked to the princess in confusion before questioning the princess "You mean the dragon... yes hes ready... but im not sure you can call a gargantuos fire breating beast... Rosy Wings". The princess looked to the general and laughed "I know i didn¡¯t think so either, but she chose it, telepathy or something, so i guess thats what it likes to be called now" The general looked to the gargantuan beast and back to the princess before rallying the army.
