《Universe! - Tales of the New Dimension》 Chapter 0 - Preview The large lit-torch dimmly lit the dark room, as K entered. There were shards of glass, splinters of wood, and clothing pieces on the floor. K could only imagine what had happened, as he continued to walk down the large hallway of the room. An ear-piercing buzzing could be heard from down the hall, which slowly began to drown out. K held his hands over the entirety of his ears, though was quick to return his hands to their regular position. As he finally reached a set of stairs, with a door at the top, he was quick to pass them. The new room he had entered was pitch black, even with the light of the fire from the torch. "What is all this?" K questioned himself, as he continued to walk further within the room. As he walked further and further, he began to hear a light ringing within his left ear. His ears began to slightly hurt, though he continued to push forward. If he could not make it to the end, what would the point of going all this way be? K''s feet continued to bang against the rocky and broken stone floor. After walking for around ten minutes, he had finally reached the last door. The inside of the door, would likely hold the explanation for all that had happened in the past month. "I''m kind of scared... but, I came all this way." He hesitated at first, though eventually proceeded to pull down on the handle of the door. A bright light had lit up the darkness of the room, revealing a beautifully colored forest. Mostly everything were colored in shades of green, though the water was a tropical blue. How could this be the answer? K sighed as he was now stumped.Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. He decided to turn around, and begin his journey back home. "I would have brought some of them along if I know this would happen." He pout, and sighed. Back at the large mansion, Mayu and L were using water magic to spray each other. With each spray, the two became more and more drenched with water. The both of them had been laughing, and continued to mess around. Aikuri seemed to be pissed off, as she evaporated the next water shot with her burning hot fire magic. "You two... giant nuisances!" she lashed out, and hit both of them on their heads with a deeply large amount of force. Mayu and L fell to their knees, holding their aching heads. "That hurt Aikuri!" Mayu yelled out and pouted, as L was just about to burst out crying. The grassy field behind the mansion was now just about completely drenched by the two, and a small part was scorched and burned by Aikuri. The three had managed to cause a decently large amount of damage, which wasn''t a good thing. It took Aikuri a decently short amount of time to eventually call in Oko, who just happened to be great at earth magic, to fix the whole field. Shehad a smile on her face, and simply giggled at the amount of chaos the three had caused, whilst repairing the field. Aikuri grabbed Mayu and took her into the showers to get the two cleaned up. Oko did the same with L, and helped her wash her hair. As the four exited the showers, they changed into ''casual wear'', which K had given them as gifts. "These are a little... tight." Aikuri complained, and pulled the red t-shirt down over the blue sweat pants she wore. Oko wore a green t-shirt, with some sweat pants, similar to what K wore. Mayu and L had slightly different clothing, where Mayu wore a white t-shirt with black shorts, and L with a black t-shirt and white shorts. The two in shorts were doing what they always seemed to do, mess around and play games. Oko yawned, as she stretched and exercised her muscles. Finally, Aikuri tended to preparing dinner for the four whom remained in the mansion currently. The meals she made were always something exquisite, and ultimately delicious. Aikuri made a cutlery meal of pork, steak, and vegetables such as green beans and carrots. The other three in the mansion, Oko, Mayu, and L, all stared at the food as if it were shining like gold. "T-This is amazing.." Mayu and L spoke out, whilst drool came from their mouths. Aikuri blushed and smiled "I''m not all that good at cooking..." she seemed quite happy. The four dug in, and began to eat the delicious meal made by Aikuri. L finished slightly earlier than Mayu, and was quick to speak. "We should give some to Karma!" she smiled with enjoyment, and awaited for a response. Aikuri looked at L for a short while, "I don''t think we can, since he wont be back for awhile." Mayu and L both stared at eachother, and then to Aikuri. "He wont be?" the two were in a perfect sync, as they spoke. Oko and Aikuri nod their heads, yawning. "It''s about time we goto sleep young ones." Oko spoke in a friendly voice, as she took the two upstairs toward their room. Aikuri cleaned up, and followed Oko back upstairs to goto bed. Meanwhile, K was finally exiting the darkened and beat down house. He was tired, and was sore all over his body. Though, K had to continue walking. Once he reached a nearby town, he stayed in an inn, quickly falling asleep. Chapter 1 - Awakening The sun casually rose as it always did, symbolizing a new day. A young man was late for school, the young man was known as Karma, or, K. He forced himself to hurry as he quickly got ready for the day. This included a black and red school uniform, as well as putting a small hair-pin his sister had given him into his hair. If K had hurried and ran fast enough, he should be able to make it only about ten minutes late for homeroom. Unfortunately, it wasn''t a simple and easy task. He would have to run just over two miles. As K eventually made it to school, though with little to no time left to spare. He knew that homeroom was simple enough, as they did some usually did simple physical maneuvers. One of his favorites was a high kick, which was an easy task for him to do. As class ended, the first break period he had began. With the break period, was a constant array of verbal harrassment toward others in the class. It didn''t ever really seem to end, though he''d gotten used to the constant bickering between the students. A message appeared on his cell phone. As he clicked on it, a text from his little sister, Fate, arrived on screen. Though, as he reached out to open the text, his screen went black. His phone had run out of battery. "Good timing." He murmured to himself, following with a sigh. A few class periods later, it was lunch time. Hundreds of students lined up and gathered to get their daily meal. Usually K didn''t pay much attention at all to those around him, though for some reason his eyes naturally glanced toward a short freshman with long black hair. The girl laughed to the two friends next to her, as a much taller and rude senior walked up to her. He was obviously a bother to her, though he was such anarcissist he didn''t believe so. "You''re cute for a freshman." the tall senior spoke loudly unto her, and leaned down toward her face. The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. K hesitated as he almost stepped out of the lunch line to ''help'' the girl. When he tried, he got halfway before being punched in the face by the tall senior''s friends. They all glanced down at K, before the more dominant of the five spoke. "Listen here ''Karma'' or whatever your name is, our buddy is going to get that girl, and you''re not going to bother them. Understood?" He had looked at K as if he were mere livestock, powerless livestock. K and the group of seniors stood, staring at eachother for a good five minutes. K kept a straight face, which was normal for him, considering he didn¡¯t usually have reason to smile. Eventually the seniors left him alone, though not until the senior pestering the girl was gone. K decided to leave campus with the time he had left, and went home to make himself a quick meal. As he walked through the door into his house, K felt sick. A dark blank abyss was to his left in the living room. His eyes glanced around the room, trying to find a reason for this mysterious abyss. Upon seeing nothing, he froze in place. ¡±What is this thing...?¡± K was seriously confused, and slowly took deep breaths as he walked up to the abyss. He reached his hand in, feeling a force of something similar to sucking him in. The force got stronger and stronger, as he was violently thrown into the black ¡®portal¡¯. Everything inside was unseeable, there was absolutely no light whatsoever. It freaked K out, as he began to hold his breath. When he slowly was able to see light, it was the light of a full red moon. ¡°It was the middle of day just a few seconds ago...¡± K looked around at his surroundings, finding himself in a forest of blooming cherry blossoms. He sat and stared for awhile longer, before looking toward the full, red moon. ¡°Red, why is it that color?¡± K let out a confused sigh, and stood up, once again taking a look at his surroundings. ¡±Thinking about it, where am I?¡± He turned around quickly, remembering the abyss ¡®portal¡¯, seeing nothing but the distant cherry blossoms. His eyes widened, as took a good look at his surroundings. "W-Where am I...?!" K''s screaming voice echoed throughout wherever he was. He was quick to stand up, and take out his dead, uncharged phone, checking it. His mouth released asigh filled with stress, remembering it''s ''brutal'' shut-down. Not only had he not known where he was, but it was getting even darker. Chapter 2 - Bright Dimension Karma walked silently throughout the seemingly endless maze of cherry blossoms. It was beginning to get slightly brighter, as the sun peaked over the distant mountains.Karma yawned, as his feet slowly propelled him forward. His eyes glanced up at the cherry blossom trees. ¡°I wonder where I am.¡± As he continued to walk forward, he noticed a bright light out in the distance. He was curious as to what the light sourced from. He decided to go toward it, finding a decently large, yet run down house.Karma might as well knock on the door and ask for directions, after all he didn¡¯t have a clue where he was. After knocking about ten quiet times, an older man walked to the door. He seemed as if he was sleep deprived and confused. ¡±What do you want?¡± His voice was hoarse and rough, which was new to Karma. ¡±I¡¯m a little lost...¡± Keima¡¯s own words confused him by a slight bit, though, even more the man standing in the doorway. ¡±Come inside...¡± The man waved for him to come inside, and sat down on an older looking couch. He yawned loudly as he stared at Karma. ¡±Alright kid, who are you and why are you wearing such odd clothes...? Are you a foreigner?¡± He seemed to have many questions for Karma, which he necessarily didn¡¯t hate. ¡±Foreigner..? I¡¯m not a foreigner... Oh, and i¡¯m Karma.¡± Karma seemed to only confuse him more, which led him to asking a few more questions, along with his name. ¡±Name¡¯s Sanjo, call me whatever you like though. Anyway, how¡¯d you end up out here?¡± Karma stared at Joss for a second, noticing his medium-sized, dark red hair. As well as his cut up and worn down shirt, before eventually answering the best he could. ¡°Well, I ¡®fell¡¯ into some black abyss, and found myself out in those cherry blossom trees.¡± The man, Sanjo, stared at Karma as if he was intrigued and confused. ¡±You have a place to stay at Karma?¡± Sanjo asked his question curiously, as he stretched out his legs. He then yawned loudly, as he cracked his knuckles. Karma stared at Sanjo, and then shook his head. Accepting Sanjo''s invitation to stay for a short while. Sanjo yawned once more, Following the yawn with the stretch of his legs. Then, the sound of a person walking down the stairs was heard. Karma was slightly confused, thinking the man might¡¯ve been alone. A girl with long, messy, silky, and beautiful silver and red hair walked out onto the wooden floor of the building. She wore a light blue night gown, which had covered one shoulder, leaving the other exposed. As the girl finally took notice to Sanjo and Karma, she spoke in a quiet voice, and attempted to hide herself behind the couch. ¡°W-Who¡¯s this..? Why is he here?¡± Sanjo sighed, and told the girl to politely introduce herself. She did as Sanjo asked, which made Karma question whether or not hewas a father of somebody.Reading on this site? You¡¯re not badly hurt are you? Hello?!¡± The girl was quick to hurrying over, of course, he was just as worried as the girl and Sanjo. Though, as soon as Karma decided to follow to see what had happened, another girl, who he remembered being called ¡®L¡¯ started to playfully laugh. Or at least, she laughed until she noticed him. She became quiet immediately, and stared at him from behind the other girl with long silky crimson and silver hair. It was only now though, that he noticed the shades in within both L and the girls'' hair. ¡°Aikuri... who¡¯s this..?¡± Karma was about to speak, though he couldn¡¯t think of anything to really say. He just waved, and went back toward the couch where the ¡®old¡¯ man, Sanjo was. As Karma sat back onto the couch, he apologized to him. ¡±Sorry about that Karma, we usually aren¡¯t this loud. In fact, we usually are quieter than this.¡± Karma was slightly confused as to why he was apologizing, but simply returned the kindness with somewhat of a smile. ¡°No it¡¯s fine, I think it¡¯s nice to have a little bit of fun every now and then.¡± Aikuri lead L to the couch, as both of them sat down next to Sanjo, trying to keep a decent distance between them and Karma. Sanjo continued to speak, seeing as he seemed to believe Karma already knew the two''s names by listening. ¡±Earlier you said you were lost, and don¡¯t have a place to stay. I¡¯d gladly welcome you here until we can get this figured out.¡± He seemed to know something that Karma, Aikuri, and L hadn¡¯t known about. Karma stared at Sanjo with confusion, he wasn¡¯t sure what to answer at first, though he slowly led himself to a conclusion. ¡°I mean, I would love too, but couldn¡¯t you give me directions.. and i¡¯d probably be a nuisance-¡° His voice trailed off before he looked down, clenching his first tightly. When had he gotten so ''good'' at social interaction? ¡±I should probably get going, i¡¯ll get marked for school if I continue to stay out.¡± Karma had forgotten the sudden time change, not to mention he had absolutely no clue where he was. Though, the sun had come up plenty more by now. L and Aikuri looked at Karma in an odd way, as if he were some rich and popular music band member. It was confusing him. ¡±You¡¯re so rich you can goto school..? No wonder you have such odd clothing on.¡± The two started to confuse him even more, it didn¡¯t cost money to goto school. Something was weird, where was he? ¡±Rich..? What are you talking about, school doesn¡¯t really cost much more than about $100 usd..¡± The two continued to look at Karma, though they were slightly more confused. They stared at him with plenty of curiousity none the less. "Look.. I''m not rich, this is just a uniform." He explained, before becoming more quiet, and nervously looked down at his hands. Aikuri walked over to him, though she was quite nervous from the looks of it. She sat down on a close, though decently distanced chair from him. She opened her mouth and spoke with what seemed to be a large amount of curiousity. "S-So... why are you here anyway?" Sanjo, the old man, purposefully knocked over a vase from the looks of it. It appeared as if he wanted to keep it a secret, that is, if he was correct about his thinking. Eventually Aikuri went over and cleaned up the pieces of vase which broke off. "Geez, that was on purpose wasn''t it?" Karma sighed, before looking at Sanjo, suspecting something was up with that old man. In response, he simply looked away and whistled like a common thing you''d see in some comedic fantasy book. Though, to be fair, he''d not known what was happening from the past while. He began to glance around the room, before his attention was shifted back to Sanjo, who asked Karma the same question from earlier. ¡±So, do you think you¡¯ll stay with us for awhile? We would love to have you with us, even if its for a short time." He seemed to be quite focused about his question and getting a response. Why was he so interested in him staying, was it because he was the only ¡®guy¡¯? Though, he does seem to be about in his fourty¡¯s. It was really confusing to think any farther from there. Karma finally nod his head and sighed in defeat. He glanced around the room, as well as the three others within the room. He hesitated as he opened his mouth to speak, though, he needed to make a decision. ¡°Yeah... Alright, i¡¯ll stay here for awhile if you¡¯ll let me. Though, I feel like I should help around if I can." Aikuri and L seemed to glance over at Karma with a slight interest peaking from their eyes. Even though Karma has not known why, he felt it could be a good thing. Perhaps the peculiar girls could become his friends, and maybe they could get along well as a bunch of friends. Chapter 3 - A Karma¡¯s eyes glanced around the now empty room. Before he knew it, everyone went to doing their own thing. He wasn¡¯t quite sure what to do. He still had no clue where he was, why there was some abyss, and how he could find his way back. Of course, it was more likely he was just a bit away from his home. His body let out a sigh, as he stood up and stretched. His limbs ¡®popped¡¯, as he readied to look around. He might as well go for a walk outside, and in the very least try to find out where he was. Karma walked toward the door in front of him, opening it. He stepped outside, seeing one of the two girls from earlier, L, playing around in the mud. She stopped after seeing Karma, though returned to her own thing a little afterward. He hadn¡¯t really thought of a destination, having never really been wherever he was before. That being said, his feet just ¡®took him away¡¯. Before he knew it, he was engulfed by the large maze of cherry blossoms. He figured that the middle of the maze was that house, so he should probably be okay. Karma glanced around at the cherry blossom trees, it would¡¯ve cost a fortune to get all these planted here. Maybe they were always growing here, considering it would be the least expensive option. There was a sudden sound of birds chirping behind him, he was quick to turn. The sound of a twig breaking under the pressure of somebody could also be heard, before Karma reached for the nearest weapon. Out from the maze of trees, came Aikuri. She had a worried look in her face, and she was slightly tearing up. She didn¡¯t seem to notice him at first. What was she doing out here? Is she looking for something? Karma was confused, as he continued to think about it.Eventually, Aikuri saw him, and rushed over. ¡°W-Why didn¡¯t you tell us you were going out?¡± Her body was shaking slightly, like that of a frightened person.I don¡¯t get it... why is she so shaken up?He stared at her for awhile, gaining the confidence to ask her a serious question. After all, he needed some answers. ¡±Why are you so worried...?¡± Karma was confused, it was like he couldn¡¯t understand something. After all, what was so bad with going for a little walk in some ¡®maze of trees¡¯. It didn¡¯t really make sense or add up, it wasn¡¯t like he was going to leave or get attacked. Aikuri started to cry, as the tears rushed down her face, and past her cheeks, before dripping off her chin. She walked over toward Karma, and hit him with just about no force, leaning toward him. She cried loudly, and continued to hit him lightly. ¡°Don¡¯t go missing and leave... please...!¡± She spoke out loudly, before slowly passing out for no reason at all. Karma picked her up, putting her in a ¡°piggy back¡± position. He was beyond confused, as he began the short walk back to the old house. With each step toward the house, he tried to unravel what she said, like it was some code. Though, he was to no avail. As he reached the house, he ran into the older man, Sanjo. ¡±Excuse me... she passed out. I don¡¯t really know why, but she did...¡± Sanjo looked at him with a little confusion, before smiling. He signaled for him to bring her inside, and take her into her room. Karma was fine doing so, after all, she passed out in front of him. If he didn¡¯t do this much, he¡¯d probably be worried that she had some health problem. Aikuri¡¯s room was in several shades of pink and red. So much, that Karma had to adjust to the room for a small amount of time first. After his eyes adjusted, he walked over to her bed, and carefully put her down onto it. He was worried, considering she had just randomly passed out after speaking some confusing things. Even though the events recently happening were confusing, it wasn¡¯t all such a bad thing...If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. Her room was slightly messy, so much, that it looked like she was searching really hard to find something. Karma started to clean the room, waning to be of help. He dug through some clothing and other items, folding and putting them away as he went. Though, he eventually touched something softer than all of the other clothing. What is this..? He started to pull it out before seeing a pattern, shoving it directly back down. He ran out of the room and walked into the guest room quietly. "What have I just done...?" Karma questioned himself a few times, before glancing around in the guest room. It was spacious, which almost amazed him. After all, you usually don¡¯t see guest rooms as big as this. The doorknob to the guest room turned slightly, as Sanjo, the old man, entered. He grinned at Karma, and walked over to him. He laughed hysterically, which made little to no sense to Karma. ¡°We¡¯re going on a little trip to the store if you want to come.¡± His voice came out with some more laughter,What was so funny?Karma sighed, and accepted with a nod. The two went into the main living room area, where L and Aikuri awaited. The first ones to leave the door were L and Sanjo. Aikuri was third, and Karma was last, as he shut the door. They walked through the maze of cherry blossoms for what seemed like an hour, before they reached a decently large town. Keima was confused by the older-fashion of it. He curiously glanced at the people within it.Where am I..? This place is mostly older fashioned, it¡¯s odd... Aikuri and L were quick to walk toward an open market for foods, where Sanjo, the old man, walked over to Karma and spoke. ¡°The girls usually get everything we need, so feel free to look around. We¡¯ll find you when we¡¯re done.¡± Karma nod, and walked off into the town of older-fashioned people. Few glanced at him, noticing his ¡®odd uniform.¡¯ He shrugged as they stared, and continued to walk. He eventually reached a more modern-day ramen booth, which he sat down at. He reached in his pocket and took out around what would likely be $10 USD of what he had. As he tried to hand the booth¡¯s ramen cook the money, he scoffed. ¡°What¡¯s with that paper? Think you can just get ramen for whatever currency that is?¡± Karma was even more confused by now. His eyes nervously stared and met with the ramen cooks, before he put the money back into his wallet and staring ¡®off into space.¡¯ ¡°Where am I... where am I... where am I... where am I...?¡± Karma was just about nonstop with repeating, the bags under his eyes were much easier to see in the light. before a small force rigged on his sleeve. It was L, she stared at him with a confused and slightly concerned look on her face. From what he knew, she hated him. Either way, she continued to tug in his sleeve, signaling that they were leaving. Karma stood up and nervously faked a laugh and smile, he was beyond confused. As the two walked for a few minutes and returned to Aikuri and Sanjo, he continued to think about his situation. As he got deeper and deeper in thought, he started to feel sick. Karma quickly glanced around himself, noticing small differences from his usual home. Everything seemed slightly off, and older. Aikuri reached out to him, confused. Karma held his hand over his mouth, as if he was going to puke. His skin became pale as he reached his own conclusion.I¡¯m not going home anytime soon... just calm down, it¡¯ll work out. He took a few deep breaths, before standing back up. He faked another smile and laugh. Sanjo was staring directly at him, the old man¡¯s eyes seemed to glare directly into his. A few awkward seconds of glaring passed, before they continued walking. Aikuri nervously went a little ahead, as L fled back toward Karma. She looked at him with an expressionless look in her eye. Her messy hair seemed to bounce up and down as she walked. L signaled for him to kneel down, which he did. It wasn¡¯t long before she climbed onto Karma¡¯s back, seeming to close her eyes and grip on tightly. ¡±Alright... then.¡± He continued walking, this time however, with L in his back. She was lightweight, which was one of the main reasons he really hadn¡¯t cared that she hopped on. Around five or ten minutes of walking, t started to rain very lightly. Karma began into a sprint, while at the same time, he was trying to keep L comfortable. Eventually, Karma, who had L on his back, reached the house. Sanjo and Aikuri were preparing a dish for dinner. It smelled like a potato-involved dish, though he couldn¡¯t quite tell. Karma walked upstairs to L¡¯s room. He put the sleeping girl onto a black and white striped bed, which felt warm to the touch. The girl curled up into a ball as he did so. He smiled, before exiting the room. Chapter 4 - Beseech The sun slowly rose, as Karma woke up feeling some sort of obstacle squeezing tightly onto his back. Upon turning slowly, his eyes glanced upon L.When did she get there..?!He began to slightly panic, having never had a girl (apart from his mother) sleep even within the same house as him, not to mention the same room and bed! L had now began to awaken, rising up slowly with a yawn. Her eyes glanced around the room, quietly observing. Her grip onto Karma lessened as she awoke. As herbody stretched out, both she and Karma yawned. L''s voice was quite high pitched, and lingered in the room. Karma was enthralled by the tone and pitch of her voice. He hopped out of the bed, as L followed. She held Karma¡¯s hand tightly, which would likely give off an ¡®unseperable¡¯ aura in some fantasy novel. The two of them walked downstairs toward the kitchen and living room, where both sat down and waited.Aikuri entered the kitchen with an apron on, at first she only saw Karma. Her face lit up in delight, as she walked over to see the two. ¡±Are you hungry..?¡± She spoke, as if she were eager to feed Karma and L. ¡±I am.. but I don¡¯t know about-¡° His voice was cut off by the sudden sound of a pan falling to the floor, following with Aikuri¡¯s quick motion to grab it, and quickly apologized for the mistake. Of course, Karma wasn¡¯t bothered, and politely smiled at her. Somehow, this only made Aikuri more nervous and apologize more. A voice spoke within his head, following with a laugh. ¡°You¡¯re so used to this, you¡¯re not even going to question things anymore. Are you?¡±It spoke as if to make a mockery of him, before it vanished with a headache. Aikuri looked at Karma, before tapping onto him to gather his attention. She seemed rather worried as he continued to daze off. She continued to tap on him again, managing to get his attention. Her eyes reflected the worry she carried, and stared directly at him. ¡±Do you want some breakfast..?¡± Karma stared at her for a second, before laughing nervously. Maybe he hadn¡¯t gotten enough sleep, and could use something to eat. After all, random voices don''t usually come and go with headaches. ¡°I could eat anything right about now, so i¡¯d be more than happy to have some.¡± She began making some breakfast for the four living in the household, which was now including Karma. She was quick to prepare Bacon, Eggs, Bread, and Milk. All looked thoroughly cooked well. Aikuri set out the plates for them to eat, including one for her. It wasn¡¯t long before they noticed Sanjo wasn¡¯t at the table. L hopped off the seat, and walked toward the wooden steps that lead toward the second floor of the older house. The bags under her eyes cleared up, as she began to quickly move up the stairs. Karma and Aikuri nod as L went upstairs. They waited about six minutes, before Karma saw there to be no real need to wait for Sanjo, and he dug in. A smile formed on his face, as he ate the food she¡¯d made, he was delighted by just the smell of it. Of course, the food¡¯s own taste was even better, it was exquisite! Aikuri¡¯s nervous smile quickly changes into a proud and real smile. She was happy he enjoyed the food she madecooking. It wasn¡¯t even a minute of seeing him, and he quickly vanished out the door. It was almost weird to see him just fly out the door, not that Keima really knew what he was like yet. ¡°Business calls.. I guess?¡± Karma laughed at his own joke nervously, and then continued eating in embarrassment. After they finished eating, he stood up and walked toward the door. ¡°You don¡¯t mind if I goto that town around here, right?¡± Aikuri and L were quick to respond, though with a different answer then Karma would have thought of. ¡±Wait for me then..!¡± He confusedly nod, and awaited at the door. About ten minutes passed by, and they were not to be found. He almost considered going up and asking what was taking so long. Though, he wanted to be nice, considering everything they¡¯d done for him. Eventually, the two finished readying up, and wore what looked somewhat similar to his school¡¯s uniform. Of course, their was quite the difference in each. L wore a skirt of a checkered pattern, which looked like Keima¡¯s uniforms colors, along with a plain white shirt which wrapped around her in a almost tight way. Aikuri however, wore a black shirt as well as the simple plaid checkered red and black skirt L wore. For some ¡®new area¡¯ it didn¡¯t seem too far off from his. Surprised, he stared for a quick while. He almost couldn¡¯t take his eyes off of them. The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there. ¡±You two look really great in those!¡± Karma spoke in a quiet voice, and smiled at the girls. Aikuri was first to respond, before nervously glancing at him. ¡±Me and L spent all night working on them with materials we had around the house. We wanted to get a similar outfit to what you wear, but we ended up with this in the end..¡± As she neared the end of her words, he shook his head and spoke out with an eager sense of enjoyment. ¡°I had no clue you could sow, that''s pretty cool!¡± L smiled and quietly walked over to Karma. She tugged on his sleeve, and gripped onto him tightly. Her face lit up before she looked at Aikuri. ¡±Let¡¯s go to the town now..!¡± Aikuri blushed brightly, as her face grew red. She went over to him and grabbed his hand with a somewhat elegant aura revolving around her. ¡±Y-Yeah... let¡¯s g-go.¡± Having no clue what to do, Karma sighed and exited the house. On one side of him (his left side), a small girl held his sleeve and gripped onto it tightly. On the other, a taller, mature, and nervous girl was holding his hand. How does this even happen? About an hour after beginning their walk, they reached the town. It was relatively clean and had plenty of food stalls. People seemed desperate for money, which made sense in a world like this. It took him awhile to calm down of course, considering the incident from before. ¡°What type of currency is this? You can¡¯t use that here.¡± Aikuri and L both tugged on him, pulling him toward a bar, which confused him slightly. He sighed and spoke.¡±I could use a water.¡±L and Aikuri nod, ¡°We needed a drink too..¡± The four of them entered, and quick sat at one of the many tables in the bar. A waitress was quick to attend them, ¡°What can I serve you?¡± The three of them answered the same, ¡°One water please.¡± She returned with their drinks, and went to serving others. A girl walked up to them, her hair ran down in a dark shade of purple, it ran down her slender figure. She had the eye color of a black cat, with them being a hazel color. On her person, she had a holster of two weapons to her side. She wore a ¡®witches hat¡¯ along with a black sweater, and black silk pants, wherever he was, it was a similar style to his home. The girl walked ever closer, before quietly and nervously speaking. ¡°I-I beseech thee..!¡± ¡±Huh?¡± There was a ten minute pause, before anyone even considered speaking. The nervous and quiet girl spoke once more, before backing up a few feet. ¡±I-I¡¯m Sorry..!¡± Karma stared at the girl who¡¯d started an odd conversation. Huh..? I don¡¯t quite get it... He looked at her, as if unsure what to do or say, and quietly sighed. As words left Karma¡¯s mouth she nervously looked over to him. ¡°I don¡¯t... understand...¡± He forced a smile, and awkwardly stared at the girl, whom was now almost frozen in place by the looks of it. Both Aikuri and L couldn¡¯t help but invite the girl over to a now pulled-up chair. The girl, who¡¯s name was not yet known, sat down in the chair. As she sat, she started to slightly tear up and sniffe, making Keima feel like he¡¯d done something wrong. ¡°S-So anyway... what¡¯s your name?¡± She wiped her eyes, and whimpered out with a small bit of confidence, which could easily be misinterpreted as nothing. ¡°My name is Niri... Niri Volei.¡± Niri had calmed down by now, and quietly sat in the seat between Aikuri and L, whom were smiling brightly at her. Meanwhile, Karma couldn¡¯t be any more confused at the situation, after all he hadn¡¯t even gotten used to the fact he was in some new sort of place, wherever he was. Karma sighed, before looking back at Aikuri, L, and the now known Niri. He reached into his pocket, taking out an older cell phone. Somehow, it still had battery, even though it was only about 30% left. Of course, there wasn¡¯t any service. He sighed, before smiling, and taking a picture of the three girls sitting together. After about thirty minutes of the three girls talking, they¡¯d somehow come to the conclusion that she lived with them. Karma¡¯d not heard the full story, so he was obviously confused. Of course, he was the same, so it didn¡¯t really matter. The now four of them walked back to the older house, and entered it. Each one took their shoes off at the enterance, as to prevent getting the house dirty from their shoes. As Karma entered, he went to sit down at the couch. L sat next to him, seeming to fall asleep right away. Aikuri and Niri entered before them, and made their way to her room. Karma began to think, and took out the almost ¡®dead¡¯ smartphone. ¡°I should probably leave.¡± He stared at the smartphone for awhile longer, being around ten minutes. Karma eventually shoved it right back into his pocket. He looked down to L, who¡¯d fallen asleep earlier, falling onto him. The old man wouldn¡¯t be home soon, so it was obvious he couldn¡¯t tell him. Karma carefully stood up, putting L¡¯s soft head onto the couch. He reached into his back pocket, taking out the ¡®invalid currency¡¯, and put it onto the couch next to L. The shoes he wore lightly tapped against the floor as he walked toward the front door. Karma turned the knob, and exited the house with a yawn. Aikuri and Niri had finished clearing up a space, both grinned with pride after they finished. Aikuri walked out of the room, looking for Karma to ¡®spoil¡¯ her with compliments. Though, she was to no avail. However, she did see L on the couch, as well as the ¡¯invalid currency¡¯ to her. Aikuri walked over, and glanced toward the door. She tapped on L¡¯s shoulder, and called out to Niri. ¡°Karma has left us... it seems.¡± L seemed to jolt up after hearing Aikuri¡¯s words, and walked toward the door connecting the outside with the inside. She quickly exited, and ran off in a sprint.
