《Endless Prosperity》 Chapter 1 Watching as my servant Isla tried to fruitlessly warm the headband in her arm I couldn''t help but chuckle. "It''s fine, if you keep your hands out any longer you might get frostbite" "But Master Rain if I put it on now I might pull out some of your hair!" "Haha and whose fault would that be? The hard-working servant bearing the bitter cold for her foolish master, or the arrogant Young Master who decided he wanted to wear a headband after he left?" "Bu-" "Isla." "Y-yes Young Master" the time for discussion was obviously over, with as much care the young woman could muster she delicately put the headband on Rain. Even after dozens of viewings she still could not get over how mesmerizing his hair was. With a glossy black sheen the hair cascaded down as if a thunderous waterfall yet still managing to hold the gentleness of water, it even managed to hold warmth, very desirable in the Northern cold, this coupled with her Young Masters features made it quite hard for her to conce- "Isla?" "Y-yes?" "Are you done yet? You''ve been touching my hair for ten minutes now, Northpoint City is already in front of us" With a yelp she let go of his hair and hurried to sit down. For the rest of the trip she refused to meet his gaze, him holding her hands to warm them up wasn''t helping either. She definitely was happy about that nope~ not even a little. "What''s gotten into you? The only time I ever see you smile is when sneak into my room an-" "Shhh! I only do that to get your laundry!" "Ha. ''Laundry'' yeahthat''s what your doing with my clothes" Once inside the city gates Rain leisurely strolled around its confines with his servants trailing respectively behind him. "Today I don''t have much time because of cousin True''s visit so we''ll just stop by the Snowdew Wine House for lunch, sound good?" ""Yes Young Master"" echoed his entourage A slight grin appeared on his face as he slowly moved towards the Winehouse while pondering upon this cousins visit. It can''t be taxes again right? I really shouldn''t have demonstrated my twelves years of required education and just acted like the useless Young Master I''m expected to be. When he arrived at the Inn he was forced to pause at the entrance because of a large crowd assembled in front of the establishment His servants seeing such disrespect towards their Master angrily moved towards the crowd only for Rain to raise his hand in denial stopping them. "Now now, they aren''t at fault here, why don''t we find out what all the hubbub is about?" Moving towards the crowd one by one they parted ways when they discovered his identity "m-Mr. Rain please forgive this one''s insolence" " "how would I dare stand in the great you''s way?" "Move it you fools Master Rain is here!" The last one was from his servants. The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. In short order he managed to find what all the commotion was about, a dirty bald bandit was currently attempting to rip off the clothes of a young barmaid. "You stupid wrench! I offered to pay you good money yet you still won''t strip!?" With veins popping he perfectly painted the picture of an angered tiger. "I-I''m sorry sir b-but we don''t have those kinds of services here!" With tears in her eyes she was fruitlessly trying to break free from his grasp. "Hah? Think you''re to good for me? I''ll show you bi-" "Hey now, don''t you think this is a bit to much?" With a relaxed posture Rain stood over the man, his condescending look not hidden in the slightest. "Why you pretty boy bastard! You look even more like a bitch then she does!" He was obviously not from around here if he dared to shout such profanities, who would dare offend a king in his own castle? Before Rain could get upset his servants got angry for him "shut your trap ya ugly bastard!" "You are just jealous of his natural charm!" Statments like these were coming like a torrent from every direction. Just who would miss this opportunity to kiss ass? Definitly not them, they had families to feed. The most angry of all however was Isla, she was his personal servant, how could she bear such a insult? Insulting him was the same , no, worse than insulting herself. Drawing a sword from who knows where she deftly pointed it at the insolent man''s neck "would you care to repeat what you said?" With closed eyes and a full smile even Rain shivered from such a terrifying visage. "I-I umm, yes that''s right, I was just praising Young Master!" with quivering knees and tears in his eyes the bandit couldn''t help but curse his fate, I just wanted to show off my wealth! "Hmm~ oh really? Please, Continue Then." The aura Isla emitted was enough to rival even the chill on the other side of the door. Sigh. I remember when she was adorable like a doll, where did my shy little sister go? She''s really making me question my manliness. "U-umm, y-young m-master i-is" "Stop shuttering." "YES YES! YOUNG MASTER IS THE BEST! PERFECT FEATURES, PERFECT HEIGHT, PERFECT HAIR, PERFECT DISPOSITION, HE REALLY IS THE PERFECT UNITY OF YIN AND YANG, HE MANAGED TO COMBINE BOTH MANLINESS AND THE CHARM OF A WOMAN!" Man am I really that girly? He still mentioned it even under sword point. "Hmm... barely satisfactory, Master Rain?" "Ah? Uh, yes, I am satisfied with his apology" you kidding me? If I said no wouldn''t you have killed him? Hearing her master''s response she seemed to finally be pacified as she lowered her blade, it was still poised to chop his head off at any second however. "Now that we got that out of the way, questions~! What in the world gave you enough confidence to go to the capital of the North and cause trouble?" "Young master you most forgive this one''s insolence, I managed to find the scale of a Snow lizard and decided to use the money to show off" "Snow lizard? Wow~ aren''t you lucky? I''d never be able to find such a scale on the ground" hearing such a statement caused the baldy to almost spit blood. You dare to speak of fortune? Whose the Rich Young Master here? And who said I picked it up off the ground? I had to sneak into the beast''s layer for it! "Haha, you aren''t very good at hiding your emotions are you? Say what, if you tell me where it''s layer is I''ll drop your charges" "What charges?" Oh God how does he know my criminal record? no, it''s impossible I moved all the way to the North just to get away from it! At this time Isla cut in "obviously it''s your rape, assault, defilment of authority, breaking of peace, and General unsightliness charges! You should be thankful towards Young Master, if I had my way you''d be missing a head" Paling he couldn''t help but curse his own stupidity, did he really think he''d be allowed to go unpunished? "My ignorance knows no bounds! Please forgive me most benevolent Lord, just give me map and I''ll point you in the right direction!" In short order a map was placed in front of the convict, Rain''s reputation around here really couldn''t be underestimated here. Just as promised the bandit showed where the layer was hidden, he even was as helpful as to point out the easiest path, notes about the creature was also taken down. Wow, didn''t think he could write. oops, can''t let that slip, I finally got rid of the previous body''s bigotry, I don''t want them to resurface. "Thank you for your service, now Isla" "Yes?" "Arrange a spot for our new associate in the City prison" "B-but" With a tremor the bandit lunged for Rain''s pant sleeve to beg, of course Isla wouldn''t have let him get that far. "Ah? Oh yeah, I promised didn''t I? Here''s some good advice for you, Never Trust A Noble." with a smile that makes even Isla''s look like sunshine he walked away without a glance back. Guess some habits I just can''t kick? With a glimmer in her eyes Isla faithfully completed her master''s orders. Chapter 2 Walking out of the gate Rain trekked through the valleys and hills with snowshoes towards the layer, with this much snow carriages were useless outside the paved road. "If we brought the Iceclimber mounts this would have been much easier, of course how would we have know we would go on such a adventure today?" "We should hurry Master Rain, if we take to long here we''d make Mister True wait" Faithfully following the map they managed to find the layer, though above ground it barely looked more than a small burrow for a small critter, all designed to make catching unaware foes easier. "Alright master, wait here while some of your bodyguards and I go to exterminate the beast" "Fraid not my dear I''ve decided it''s fair time I start learning how to protect my self" I''ve been here an entire week and I still haven''t got my cheat, I''m not missing any opportunity! "B-but master, you can''t cultivate! You haven''t even been given any official training either, with no cultivation or skills this is as good as suicide!" "I have you don''t I? So young yet already at the Xantain realm, what''s there for me to fear?" Hearing that she couldn''t help but blush, geez what am I worrying about? I let Rain see my uncool side! Seeing no more opposition to his claim he decided to stop waiting and head towards the mound, when he was about to enter Isla jumped in ahead of him While he might be safe with her she couldn''t really let him go in first could she? Once inside Rain took stock of the situation inside and couldn''t help but be impressed. It had to be the size of a football field! Most impressive of all was the hill in the center, one half a collection of shiny treasures that made any spelunker gulp, all gained from from unlucky passerbies with no idea of the dangers around them, the other half a giant shard of icy blue crystal in the middle of the deadly goods. "Whistle. Well I''ll be, we struck it rich didn''t we Isla? This guy must be a couple decades old, with this much wealth I''d be able to have fun for at least a month!" Disregarding her master''s weird spending she made sure to remind him. "be careful, while a older layer means more loot it also means a stronger magical beast" "Come on, just how strong could it be? At most it''s low Xantain" The power ranking of this world was quite straight forward, each realm had nine stages, Stages 1-3 are considered low tier Stages 4-6 are considered mid tier while stages 7-9 are considered high tier generally stage nine is considered it''s own tier and that is because generally, you''d be focusing on your foundation for the next realm in the hopes of breaking through Most however, never manage to reach a breakthrough and die with eternal regrets.Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation. The stages for magical beasts are generally the same, the key differences being how beasts cultivate and how magical beasts are generally a tier stronger, a mid tier beast can usually rival a high tier human of the same realm. The first five realms of cultivation are, body refining, Qi gathering, Xantain, True Qi, and Origin. Different cultures usually have unique names for the stages, though these are the accepted official names For a reference Isla is high Xantain, she is the same age as Rain, 19, generally your considered average if you managed to reach stage nine body refining by twenty, any who managed to pass the bottleneck before twenty are considered talents, how close you are to twenty when you breakthrough determines how talented you are. For someone like Isla to be an entire realm above those considered talents just shows how heaven defying she was, any top tier sects would kill to have her join them. Just how powerful is the family capable of using her simply as a personal servant? In case you were wondering Rain was stage 6 in body refining, that mainly came from him squandering resources from his clan since the previous Rain held no desire to train. Why would he when he held no possibility of ever reaching Qi Gathering? While they were admiring the treasure trove in front of them the hill started to stir, more specifically the ice crystal in the center Slowy uncurling itself it lazily blinked out the sleepiness in it''s eyes as it stared at the two intruders (they left everyone else outside). Quickly coming to a realization the beast started to tense every muscle of it''s being as it rose it''s full height... the size of a small house GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! With a cry of rage it rushed to it''s newest prey... turns out it was mid Xantain. With burning curiosity in his eyes Rain stared as his personal servant dashed out to meet it''s charge. Sparks rose from their Collison that were strong enough to temporary blind him. Furiously rubbing his eyes to see the outcome of the short contact instead he was forced to hear the sound of two metals hitting each other repeatedly as be waited for his vision to clear. When he finely managed to regain eyesight he was subjected to the view of Isla standing on top of the beast, her sword poised to execute. "WAIT!" ??? "What is it master?" "I wanna do the killing blow, otherwise there won''t be any reason for me to have come here!" "What else would you expect? You didn''t think this trash beast would have put up a fight against me did you? I was personally chosen to defend you, If I put my life on the line I''d even be able restrict a low True Qi cultivator! for a short time." To be chosen as the right hand woman of the Young Master of the North, obviously she''d need to have the best grade of talent imaginable. Such a lowly beast going against someone of such status should be honored, of course if it was anyone else they would have been slaughtered with no room for negotiation. the Clan of the North can be described by two words, heaven defying Of course Rain couldn''t care about such trifles, he had a beast to slay! Making his way to the beast he could only get on it''s back with Isla''s help, hey he was only mortal alright! Once on top of the beast''s head he grabbed Isla''s sword and raised it above his head with ease. While his life style might have been degenerate he was still a stage six body refining cultivator. Even a top tier body refiner would hold no chance in piercing the beasts shell, every realm was a near unbridgable gap after all, Rain had one advantage, he was filthyfilthyrich. The sword he was welding was a family heirloom passed from one generation of the Northern clan''s guardian to the next, although he wouldn''t be able to even harness a shred of it''s true power it''s edge was strong enough to cut almost every material imaginable. With a zing the beasts head fell to the ground, never to rise again. After the act Rain almost fell of the beast, being grabbed by Isla last second. It was not because of bad posture, though it did make him trip easier. It was because of the voice inside his head [Quest: kill the Snow Lizard complete, congratulations host for vanquishing such a worthy foe.] [Access to the Endless Prosperity System has been given] [Calculating rewards: host did not defeat the beast, detracting points, host relied on gear above his level, detracting points, host''s first kill, adding points] Messages like these flowed endlessly across his eyes as his ears was assailed by a slightly cold asexual voice. At least the voice sounds nice. He thought before passing out from information overload. Chapter 3 [Rewards calculated] [Rusty Ring of Luck obtained] [Missions have become available] *Gasp* With a start Rain woke up from his dreamless sleep Looking around he noticed he was back home in his warm bed. Looking closer he even found a ring on top of his sheets. The ring looked quite ordinary, if not finely crafted. If the ring was not so worn down it might have been worth a fair amount of money, now however It''d only be worn for sentimental value. Picking up the ring he closely examined it from every angle. The hell? Dont tell me that voice is real, why did it only start talking now? [Host had yet to accomplish anything of worth, benefits from the system can only be gained from merit] With a jump Rain fell of his bed from the sudden voice Ow. Rubbing his head he pondered the possibility of this being a prank. Nope, no one in this manor has the balls to play a prank on such a devilish Young Master Well not like anything will be accomplished by sitting on my ass. Having made his decision he decided to put the ring on. Nothing ventured nothing gained [Rusty Ring of luck equipped. Calculating luck value] [Luck Value: Above Average] Only above average? I guess it makes sense, I am a cripple after all. As he was considering the effects of such a ring Isla came barging in with tears in her eyes "Master!" With a lunge she tackled him back of his bed onto the floor. Damn I just got back on the stupid thing. "How dare you pass out like that!" Well I''m sorry. Next time I''ll make sure to ask the nice voice in my head to be gentle. Snifle "I was so worried, please don''t leave me" Seeing such a pitiful expression on her beautiful face Rain couldn''t help but smile. "Come on Isla your crying like a child. I''ll never. Ever. Leave you, okay?" Sitting on the floor rubbing Isla''s head he failed to notice the butler quietly enter. "Ahem. I''m sorry to interrupt but your family would like to see you, they seem quite upset." "Thank you Alfred, I''ll make sure to go when this crybaby gets off me" "I-I''m not a crybaby! I umm... just had something in my eye!" Chuckling at the site of the two bonding Alfred dutifully stood at the side waiting for his pledge to get ready. After a few minutes she seemed to finally be satisfied and let him stand up. "I''m afraid to interrupt again but we must be going, we''ve already kept them waiting" "Understood" looking at his current dress he couldn''t help but sigh "I suppose I don''t have time to change?" "Fraid not sir, but worry not, you''ve appeared in public with far worse than a bathrobe" "Sigh, that was one time. I had a hangover and couldn''t find my clothes, you don''t suppose I should have waited for the husband to come back do you?" "Haha, the time for jokes is later. Let us be on our way" Walking out the door into the main hall he headed towards the great room without a sense of shame, both personalities happened to lack one. Not being ready to leave him alone so soon Isla trailed behind him holding onto the cusp of his robe. Alfred stood behind him with a aura of magnificence that could only be accumulated through countless life and death battles in brutal campaigns. As such Rain ended up walking into a important clan meeting in only a bathrobe. Nothing out of the ordinary. [Mission obtained: quell thoughts of rebellion] [Reward: Endless Prosperity cultivation technique Upon Failure: lose a decade of life] Rebellion? Guess the family couldn''t stand a cripple inheriting the title of Family Head after all. As the trio walked into the room a division could Cleary be seen, one side if the room housed his mother and her loyal followers while the other held his step mother''s minions. His father was nowhere to be seen.Typical Yep, in this world it wasn''t strange for clan heads to have multiple partners. It wasn''t ALL about pleasure, part of it was to inspire competition between future heirs, this was a dog eat world and only the strongest survived. This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. "Tch Here comes the cripple" "Looks like he still hides behind a girl too" "F''n pretty boys" Hearing such statements ring out I couldn''t help but smile, mainly because they came from my side. "What was that? I couldn''t hear you over my sheer perfection" Walking to my beloved family hugs and handshakes were exchanged. It has been far to long My mother quietly went to stand in front of me staring with such strong eyes you could swear she could see through all deciption. Did she see through me? I May have inherited his memories but our personalities are a mix of both. "Mother" with a small courtesy I held her hand as I lead her to a nearby couch to sit down. Generally affection was not allowed to be shown in public, rather it was a private affair. The couch I chose happened to be parallel to where my Stepmother and half sister were sitting. "Hmph you don''t see your sister for a month and this is how you treat me? By ignoring me?" "Haha dear sis it''s not for why you think it is, I assume you heard about how I passed out correct?" "How couldn''t I? I was the laughingstock of the house for being related to such a baffon!" "Fraid you''ll have to live with it, the blood that runs through our veins come from the same source, and that''s something you can''t change, anyway as I was saying I passed out which meant I couldn''t go gift shopping. In all honestly I fear for my life right now." "You mean?" "Yes. I''m afraid you''ll have to wait for the next time I''m kicked out by dad for the ''goods'' " Instantly the aura around his sister changed, gone was the sarcastic sister who loved to banter and in her place stood a creature of ice, literally. His sister Lin''s dominant element was ice and as such when ever she got emotional she tended to affect the weather around her. Currently her entire body looked like a ice sculpture as all the water vapor around her froze and formed a layer of ice top of her. "Now, now, daughter of mine, what did I tell you?" "To con-" "To control your emotions yes, and currently you are failing. I WILL NOT allow anyone, including you, to defile the honor of this household" "I''m sorry to interrupt your scolding Stepmother but I would like to get down to business" "Oh?" With raised brows she questioned "whatever do you mean?" "While I would love it if this family was close enough to all come together without a motive, I''m, despite what you would believe, not a idiot. We as a family only come together for one reason. A regime change. All across the room silence pervaded. Now that it was pointed out so bluntly they could no longer pretend, while they tried to hide it Rain saw it the moment he walked in, a split between the family right through the center. "Well I guess we can leave the pleasantries for later, we are not satisfied with such a weakling being the family successor" "We are a merchant family, we use money to solve problems not our fists" "Even so it is a disgrace on our family to have a cripple in such a exalted position" "For the past five generations the public has never seen the face of the family head, our enemies use assassination against us, not direct confrontation" "You are only a mortal, your lifespan is short compared to cultivators" "So? When I die you simply have to hold another family succession" "The family head gets the best resources, by then the next head will be left in the dust in terms of cultivation" "And so the truth comes out, resources. I will be blunt, I am aCripple, I can''tCultivate, what do you not understand? My monthly spending on worldly pleasures doesn''t even equal the cost of a single decent herb." "Even more the reason, if you won''t use them they should be given to one one who will, and the position of head should follow" "I tire of all this court drama so I will end this nonsense. I don''t like telling people of my plans but I guess now I have no choice. First, all my resources will go to my sister" That invoked quite the reaction between the onlookers, resources were EVERYTHING in this world. "They are rightfully her''s, not only is she talented she is also dedicated to cultivation, no one else deserves them more than her" "And that brings me to my second decision, I will be blunt, I know nothing of subtlety after all, Lin holds no desire for the position" Even louder voices could be heard, who wouldn''t want such a position? The power was unfathomable. Quite peeved was Lin''s mother, she was ready to blow a fuse. Seeing such a expression on her face brightened his day "as I said she is dedicated to cultivation,SOLELY to cultivation. To force a position of management on her is the same as death. Why do you think it is so rare for clan heads to breakthrough? It is because they are confined to paper work and meetings. By the time they realize their blunder and go into closed door training it is to late, their youth has passed them and their Qi has gone to long unstirred." "As such I propose this, a divide in the power of this family, on one side would be the manpower, they would be the generals and soldiers who take care of the hands on work. On the other side would be the Logistics branch, the brains of the operation if you would" "You think me a fool? If we did that we would simply turn into your minions, forever to do your bidding!" Fumed his Stepmother "You see that''s the problem, our side would be taking the loss,. you''d have all the power. If you wanted to you could barge into our offices and hang us by our necks. The one who holds the army holds the world, or so they say" not like we have a army. We''re a MERCHANT clan for God''s sake Hearing such a enticing offer caused pause. What would we lose? We can always just perform a revolt if we''re not satisfied. "Fine. You will be in charge of politics while we command the warriors." For the next three hours a furious debate was held where the two sides finalized the conditions of the deal, both were immensely happy with all the benefits they gained. "Now that that''s over you''ll have to forgive me, I''m running on fumes quite honestly" and with that Rain passed out again. Not from physical exertion but rather mental exhaustion. To contain the Endless Prosperity System in his soul was quite a burden, it would take a fare bit of getting used to it. Going to a meeting for three hours definitely didn''t help. "YAWN" man it really was a good decision to get this phoenix feather bed, even being yelled at and being kicked out was worth it. Yep, He got kicked out for a month because of frivolous spending. In fact the previous owner of the body died from to much wine and women during his suspension, not that Rain would ever admit that. [Mission complete: Endless Prosperity Cultivation Technique obtained] It hit him like a Jackhammer. A ocean of knowledge as if a tidal wave flooded every orifice of his being. He was quickly consumed in the near endless waves of knowledge that battered his soul space. For the next hour he sat staring with glazed eyes at the wall in front of him. If any of his servants were to see him they''d have been worried he was turned dumb. Eventully Rain was able to slowly wake from his daze and when his eyes reached full clarity he couldn''t help but laugh boisterously. "it''s really made just for me! First step; cripple yourself!" HAHAHA! Just what kind of idiot would practice such a technique? Indeed this was a one way road, other techniques let you destroy your cultivation and practice a different technique, but this one? Not only could you have not have used any other cultization techniques prior, you are also unable to practise any other techniques for the rest of your life. If you do you''d explode from cultivation deviation. When I got to this world I expected many things, to be born a cripple was one of them, I''ve read many books after all. But to experience it for myself? To go from a cripple to a cultivator? It''s breathtaking. I have to resist the entirety of being not to shout out towards the heavens. I had pretended that I was fine wasting my days away in mortal pleasures, but now that the opportunity is in front of me? I''ll seize it with all my might. And the first step is to catch up with my peers. No self respecting Sect would take in anyone less then peak body refining, regardless of the bribe. The cultivation technique started out much like any other; breath in and try to feel the Qi in the air. Chapter 4 Breathing in the air around me I was able to quickly sense the Qi, after all this wasn''t my first time cultivating. Rather I just lacked a dantian and couldn''t hold the Qi I cultivated, hopefully this time it''ll be different. Guiding the Qi to where the lower Dantian should have been located I had trouble controlling the movement of the Qi. This was the gap called talent, some could control Qi as if second nature, while the vast majority like me struggled in every shape and form. Cultivation really was a uphill battle. Even as someone with mediocre talent I was probably on the most bottom rungs. Even a poor village youth in the mountains would have some experience controlling Qi, it was in the air after all. Everyday breathing in and out Qi the human body would slowly be nourished and strengthened, not me however. For that nourishment to take place you had to have a dantian capable of removing the impurities to create Pure Qi, otherwise it was no different than taking steroids. Of course the Qi still had impurities but that was for a latter time. While every person had experience in this I didn''t, how could I? The only way my body could be refined until now was through otherworldly treasures that held Qi already refined. Even then it was difficult since most treasures of such a high grade had so much Qi in them that if I tried to use them I would explode. As such as I was slowly attempting to move the Qi I made mistakes often, more times than I could count I accidentally hit the side of my spirit veins causing insurmountable pain, most people would have already learned this step when they were still a child since the Spirit Veins would still be flexible enough to tolerate such mistakes, I on the other hand just had to suffer through it. Finally after painstakingly slow progress I managed to bring a single strand of Qi into my dantian area, of course there was nothing there, and if I had tried to absorb the strand now I would find it was almost 90% impurities. Ever hear of drinking poison? The next step in the cultivation technique was my only hope to be able to cultivate, and as expected of something as miraculous as letting a Cripple cultivate, it was quite unorthodox and difficult. I slowly started to spin the Qi in a circle as I attempted to inhale another strand of Qi, I failed. And then I failed the five Times after that. It was just to difficult for someone who''s virtually a beginner in cultivation to control two strands at once, much less when their doing separate things. I ended up wasting the rest of the morning (I woke up in the middle of the night) trying to control two strands of Qi. Goddammit! I''ve already met a barrier in the most simple step of cultivation! "Master it is morning, would you plea-" "Do not let anyone disturb me, not even if the entire place caught in fire, UNDERSTOOD?" Through the door the pitiful maids response could be heard "y-yes m-master sorry for disturbing you, to make up for it I''ll make sure to guard your door" "Good" I''ll commit suicide before I''m defeated by such a insulting setback. Today I will either become a cultivator or a dead man. Sitting back down I compilated solutions for my current plight, it all comes down to experience doesn''t it? Cultivation can''t be rushed after all. But I don''t have time to waste. I''m already behind everyone else and I can''t waste anymore time. In just a week all the Top Sect''s will be holding their recruiting ceremonies, if I miss this one I''d have to wait an entire year to join. Regardless of what results I obtain if I end up being a year late I would be the eternal laughing stock of the Spirit Continent. [Mission obtain-]This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" If I can''t even do something as simple as controlling Qi, what right do I have to consider myself superior? The system should provide support, not be a crutch. What would happen when the system doesn''t help me? By then I''d be so reliant on it I''d be useless on my own. Seemingly having noticed my mood the voice no longer said anything. Now that all the distractions have been taken care of I can finally do something truly stupid. There was no point in trying to do it the conventional way, so why not try something unorthodox? They say only when you face danger is when you reveal your true talents. But just how much talent does a cripple have? Guess we''re about to find out. Taking slow and methodical breaths I manage to gather all the Qi my lungs can handle. Not even being able to control two strands of Qi meant trying to keep a handle on this ball of energy was like rodeoing a bull. It took all my might to prevent the Qi from expanding, which would in turn inflate me like a balloon. already feeling some regret for my actions it was to late to back out now. Fear is the excuse of cowards! Now started the really stupid part of my plan, instead of slowly guiding the Qi through my veins I''d instead inject it full force through my body in a attempt to get enough Qi in my lower dantian to perform the next step of the cultivation technique. With a mighty roar I pushed the Qi through my veins only for my voice to turn into cries of pain. The second most important organ for cultivating after the dantian was the Spirit Veins, likewise the second most fragile was also the Spirit Veins. Of course like most in the cultivation world every shortcoming could be overcome through sheer talent, strong veins and perfect control made this one of the easiest steps. Rain did not have it so easy. His veins were as fragile as glass and after such a intense push he was forced to feel as vein after vein started to get smashed into pulp from such immense pressure, but the bet managed to pay off With it''s strong beginning momentum the Qi had all managed to gather in the lower Dantian where he had to once again restrain it if he didn''t want to turn into the first human balloon. "Haaah. haaah." With deep gulps of breath he attempted to calm down his nerves before the next step of the plan. I can''t fail now. My spirit veins are so destroyed they''d be unable to handle something so intense again. With the Qi now in his lower dantian he started to slowly spin it around the center of his dantian, or rather where his dantian was supposed to be. Starting slow with every rotation it started to pick up speed as its momentum started to slowly become truly terrifying. If he slipped up now even a strand of Qi would be able to gut him like a pig. After he managed to make his Qi reach the max speed he could barely control he started the truly hard part of this technique. Since there was no dantian for Qi you would have to make one yourself, and just how do you do that? Currently no one knew, to be considered a dantian it had to be able to hold and purify Qi, if it was just that then it wouldn''t be so hard. Once Magical Beasts reached a certain rank they''d be able to form a Beast Core, the Magical Beast''s equivalent of a Dantian. There was only one problem, you also had to be able to control said Dantian as if it was a third hand, or rather sixth organ. While humans are able to use Beast Cores in a variety of ways, such as Spirit weapons and cultivation resources, at the end of the day it was only a outside source. You''d never be able to control the core as if it was your own. So what else could you do? Make your own Beast Core. High Tier Cultivators had since long ago attempted to find a means of making their own beast cores, They all failed. Why? Much the same as a Beast being unable to have two Beast cores humans weren''t able to have two dantians, you could only have one or the other. Just who would be crazy enough to cripple their self to figure out such a method? And what cripple would have the courage and know how to attempt such a method? Rain was the only one, and would be the only one to use such a reckless method. Using all his being he attempted to condense the Qi while retaining it''s momentum, he failed. But he would not give up instead only increasing it''s rotation before attempting it again. It was slow work since every time he stopped to increase it''s speed he lost almost all his progress, but with time he able to slowly shrink it to half it''s regular size This is as good as I''m going to get it, if I don''t finish this now all my work might be lost, along with my life. Having made up his mind he attempted the final step in making his Core, using insurmountable force to squeeze the ball of Qi as small as possible, most of the momentum would be lost with such a move but the whole point of the last step was to shrink it enough to be able to hold onto some of it''s momentum after the violent movement. Gathering the rest of my strength I used everything I had left to reduce its size, before I passed out from the immense pain I managed to reduce it to a ball the size of a needle tip It slowly rotated around itself in all it''s pitch black splendor, it''s colour was of course because of all the impurities it contained. [Able to form Core] [Reward Obtained] [Spirit veins are being reformed, if host is not currently unconscious then he will be incapacitated] In a silent room all that could be heard was sounds of bones breaking, muscles ripping, and the pores of skin breathing. To be able to hold new Veins his entire body had to be destroyed and be rebuilt from the ground up. The person in question however was currently unconscious, again. Maybe it was forever his fate to knocked out?
