《Second Life》 Prologue I woke up finding myself in really dark place. I sat up and went through my memories. I was taking my regular jog in the mornings suddenly I heard a gunshot. What the hell was that? I thought I slowly approach the sound and sneakily peeked over the hedge. I saw a man holding a gun while checking the girl that is lying down the ground I think she¡¯s dead. Oh shit I just meet the eye of the murderer I tried to run away, but he was fast enough and shot me. I just died i just died ..... but where the hell am I? `I know no one¡¯s gonna answer that but I still said it out loud. Sigh! (¡­¡­): you are in what you humans call heaven. !!!!What the who answered that. Me: who are you? And what do you mean heaven I thought heaven is like a paradise. (¡­..): ha-ha that¡¯s just what human believes but heaven is like and endless dark place Me: oohkay!! So what happens to us here? Sometimes I visit some of my creation but ive grown bored with it so I lazily watch mortals live their lives. And i pick sentient beings sometimes to talk to when they die just to have fun. haha Me: (sigh) just by listening to what you¡¯ve said I too think it is quite tiring being a god. And heartless at the same time. Cael: you really can talk casually. Wanna go to a world with magic or world without magic but advance technologies? Me: of course I choose the one with magic. i will update chapter 1 tomorrow guys Chapter 1 I woke up still im inside the womb. I can hear someone talking from the outside it is muffled so i cant understand well. Time passed and I see the light!!, I got overly excited I think its time for me to see this world. There is a strong force pushing me through the hole and after a while I am finally out. I tried to open my eyes I see a man with smiling. I think this would be my father. Father: Delia im finally a daddy haha I will name him aiden ridley. Delia: (with a weak voice) he looks like a healthy boy but why isn¡¯t he crying? Ryan dear? (panic ran through her face) Ryan: huh but his moving Delia: try to make him cry (still panicking) They are conversing I only understand a fragment it is like English maybe I can learn it easily.He slaps my bums gentle. I tried to laugh but my instinct tells me to cry so I can expand my lungs. I started crying loudly what the hell so I can¡¯t control myself. I look at them breathing a sigh of relief. My mother Delia holds me and comfort me. I hear her heartbeat and it relaxes me and I slip to dreamland. 7 months had passed I learned the language now and I can talk fluently but I still hide it. My parents might freak out if they knew a 7 month old baby talking very well. My mother read me stories while she is reading I also try to learn. Wow it is easy to read here it is like you are just pronouncing the words when you write its simple enough. I am not good with studying so i find it surprising maybe its because I have an old soul. I learned for this past months that I am in a noble family my father is a duke while my mother is a daughter of a knight. In this world there is mana.I think it is just like what you think just like in the games. Now that I know how to read I try to find a book in our library. Oh I know how to walk already but I don¡¯t show it to them. I sneak every night to the library, it''s so dark here. I tried to light the lamp and scan through loads of books. I found an encyclopedia, book about the continent where I¡¯m in, introduction to be a warrior, and introduction to magic. I returned to my room dragging the books and hid it under my bed. I will read it tomorrow after they feed me hehe Morning comes my mother lift me up and try to breastfeed me after feeding she tends to let me sleep and just return when I need to be feed or change my undies. This is convenient for me so I don¡¯t mind. I read about the continent. The continent I''m at is called Stranus this world has 7 continents just like earth namely: Opax- the continent for beastman Zowari- continent for demons dwarvehaven- continent for dwarvens iweon- continent for elves Stranus- continent for humans Eqaes- continent of the giants Rudul- the biggest continent and where all races converged Wow so many races I want to see other races but I need to build up my strength. Next I read about being a warrior. So you train your body in swordsmanship and other weaponry huh. Next up the book about magic. There are 6 elements : Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Light(yang), Dark(yin). It says that in legends people don¡¯t need incantations, but now magi¡¯s are dependent on it. And they tend to focus only on one element. Tch that¡¯s boring maybe I can be a dual element or more. I try to determine what is my element. Imagination is the key huh!. what would be my element. Hmmm I¡¯ll just do everything according to the book. I meditated just like in lightnovels and anime. I clear my mind and focus 30 mins... 1 hour... 2 hours... Fuck this is so hard calm down. oh I see lights, now try to gather them just as the book said. imagine it coming close to me. maybe ill talk to it. Aiden: Hey mr orbs can you be my friends? Well that didn¡¯t work ill try to approach them. Success I try to grab those different lights like mable I collected 7 lights. I thought there are 6 elements but why 7?. I read that the color of each is element is like this: Wind ¨C Green Earth ¨C Brown Water ¨C Blue Fire- Red Light ¨C White Dark ¨C Black But what is this one It looks transparent. I put everything in my lap and studies them suddenly they got absorb by the transparent orb. What the hell happened I examined it and saw all the colors floating with different axis inside the orb. The orb got bigger and bigger until it became the size of a basketball the ball rushes to my chest maybe this is the so called mana core or element core. I slowly opened my eyes and tried to read the book again it says that when you meditate you can only see one color an if your gifted you can see two means you¡¯re a dual element Nothing said about multiple lights I think I have all the elements. It says here that you can also know your element with the use of material, it is like a magic crystal that shows the colors that will portray what is your element. if you have dual elements it will show the colors and identify what is stronger base on volume. I remembered that I saw something like this in the library I will also check if it there is a book explaining my core. I try to meditate and absorb the mana in the surrounding so I can expand the size of my mana core. Its time for my mother to return I lay on my bed like any baby should do. After my mother fed me I continue to meditate. I didn¡¯t train my body because im afraid I might stunt my growth for doing strenuous things.evening came and I went to the library found the ball and touch it, I imagined some strands of light enter the magic crystal and it shines. It displayed multi colored light just like what I saw in my center or mana core. The crystal cracked and breaks. I panic and hide the crystal behind some books. I hurriedly went back to my room and hope my father wont discover it. I wonder why can''t I find a book about my core. I was ecstatic about being able to use 6 elements oh maybe I can ask cael the next time we meet. Chapter 2 I practiced for months I am almost 2 years old now. I better sleep for now to restore some of the fatigue and train actual magic tomorrow. I lie down on my bed and sleep. Morning comes and my mother feed me and read me stories while i pretended to sleep. After that I practice magic when I am alone. i read about the book on how to use attributed magic. First I try to create a fireball and made hand gestures like in Naruto and said loudly Katon no jutsu nothing happened. Hahhaha I thought it will work I did it exactly like the ninjas there. I find myself silly for doing that. Now here is the real deal, I put my hand in front of me and imagined a ball swirling There it is but it¡¯s not a ball of fire just something transparent I think this is mana. I maintained the ball and try imagining it heating and put it ablaze. Beads of sweat run down my forehead and cheek. After imagining it very hard. It¡¯s a success. Next I tried using the same principles using different elements. Thankfully it worked I tried practicing every day and every moment I am alone. I manipulate different elements every day. Something like Fire for today and the next day water and so on. Today finally im turning 5 year old. now they won¡¯t find it strange if i do stuff on my own secretly. they will just shrugged it off like I am just playing. I take a stroll leading to my mother and fathers room when I tried to open the door. I heard my mother and father talking. I slowly open the door. Father: Dear today is our son¡¯s fifth birthday and his first day meeting other people except the both of us. Mother: yes dear I really want to keep him out of everyone¡¯s eyes especially from my father. Father: yeah haha your father really love to have a grandson and he said in the letter that he wants to train him as soon as possible. Mother: that is why I don¡¯t want him to know we have a son but a certain idiot that is you just; sent him an invitation and said that our son is turning 5. Father: it won¡¯t be as you have imagined right? my father laughs awkwardly. Mother: father is a retired Knights Commander and really wants to raise soldier like a war freak ¡­ sigh Oh my grandfather is a commander this will be good, I hope I can train my body well under his tutelage. When having multiple elements it converge into different color commonly the mixture of both the color of the elements and so on. But yours just like the Gods I created you have a transparent core and the six elements are rotating inside the said core. Me: Yes I get the idea. So that means I¡¯m a demi god? Cael: hahah don¡¯t flatter yourself but if you strive hard you can use small amount of power just like the minor Gods I created. Me: I¡¯ll try really hard to accomplish something like that but first I need to train really hard. Cael: That¡¯s a good goal don¡¯t worry I won¡¯t interfere with your life or the lives on your world so you can live your life the way you want to. You can take my word for it. Me: It is good then! Chapter 3 Moments later after meditating. Delia my mother opened the door and tried carrying me like a child but I refused. Delia: ohoh my son is maturing quite early huh? No one were against the idea about that. During the last three days I was bidding farewell to everyone and spent the last days with my mother. Today I will finally set off with my Grandpa Astaroth. I find it very strange that even our family is a noble. I only saw few servants on the mansion. The security is lax like we are just some well off family back on earth. I really want to have a conversation going so I tried to break the ice. Me: what kind of place is grandpa¡¯s home? (I ask in a curious tone) Astaroth: it is inside a mountain secluded from people. Chapter 4 Guard: Bandit attack!!! Astaroth: I guess my senses are rusted huh? I need to resharpen it when we arrive later. First off let me handle this barbarians. Observe me while fighting and don¡¯t go out of this carriage. Me: Yes, go get¡¯em grandpa. I peeked at the window and watch as my grandpa and the guards dealing with the bandits. My grandpa decapitated one of the bandits rushing at him. The arm got cleanly cut and I see bones and blood dripping. I almost throwed up seeing so much blood. I feel nauseated seeing too much Gore. I try to supressed it and continued watching. It¡¯s a one sided massacre the guards are for formalities only. Mother was right my grandpa was enough to handle them. I noticed that grandpa got enveloped by green and some shade of black. So he¡¯s a dual elemental warrior but why isn¡¯t he using spells to wipe them all out in one go. He moves smoothly and upon closer observation there isn¡¯t a speck of blood on his armor. After a while the bandits have thinned out. I can already count them 1 2 3 4 ¡­.. 8. Only 8 remains among the bandits. They are so frightened and hesitating to attack. They must be frustrated right now, they thought they have the advantage in numbers but now only few of them are still alive. My grandfather dissolve like a smoke and appears behind one of the bandits. The bandit was dumbfounded while the sword of my grandpa slit his throat. The other bandits lowered their swords and begged for mercy. But my grandpa like a death god showing no mercy and killed them on one fell swoop. What the fuck why did he kill them so ruthlessly. I thought he was gonna interogate one of them. He slashed his sword trying to remove the blood after that he unsheathed it and enter the carriage like nothing happened. I remained silent. Then asked. Me: uhm grandpa why didn¡¯t you spare one of them? Astaroth: I killed them so they can¡¯t make evil again. Me: dont you need to interrogate them? and... they might changed. Damn I sound so hypocritical. Astaroth: people don¡¯t change that easily Aiden, if I have spared them can you guarantee they won¡¯t do it anymore? and no need for interrogation they are just mere mountain bandits. Me: but even so they already thrown their weapons and beg for their lives. Astaroth: you really is still just a child. I¡¯ll mold you properly like training my soldiers, i guess I''ll be stricter with my grandson so prepare yourself. I won¡¯t show mercy. haha Me: (gulp) ok grandpa He really is ruthless. My grandfather didn¡¯t talk again and just closed his eyes. No other bandit attacked us, and finally the carriage stop. Astaroth: we¡¯re here. I looked outside but I can¡¯t see any house it¡¯s just like a sea of trees. I get down from the carriage. My grandfather waves his hand and the scenery in front of us dissolve. Every day I hunt monsters for food sometimes I end up going too far but still managed to come back to earthen made house. I tried to manipulate water and drop the temperature to make little ice crystals with a mix of earth element and make the wind hoter by increasing its temperature through fire. Then combined them. I created batches of solar winds till I managed to control electricity, a bit weaker than the lightning. I gathered iron through using earth manipulation, and bathed it with electricity it has weak magnetism. i tried to find copper and mold it into wires then coiled it on big chunks of iron infused electricity and success but it is still weak. Maybe i can strengthen my lightning manipulation and produce stronger magnetic force. So first I need to improve this into lightning, Well that¡¯s for later. I produced three magnetic iron with copper coils around it and 1 big chunk of ferromagnitic iron in the middle of the three. When i charge it electricity the iron in the middle slowly levitated. Did you know magnets repel each other when you face them positive to positive and negative to negative? thats what i did. I''m planning to recreate magnetic forcefield here and blast it with heat wave to agitate the molecules inside. After doing all that i successfully initiated it. i blast heat wave then the mini solar winds ofcourse the stones turns to dust cause they cant handle the impacts only after many trial and errors did I succeed. Now I need to wait till the protons die out of energy and waits for it to precipitate to produce some optic illusion that creates aurora. After a while it started to shine brightly with different colors. My little experiment succeeded I am so happy for this achievement. I have applied physics, I can really use what I learn in my previous world and apply it here with the help of magic I can recreate something impossible to make on my former world. I didn¡¯t really noticed it but the sun is rising now. I just spent quite some time immersing myself with my experiment. So now I have initial knowledge about electric or lightning, gravity and to control other minerals on the soil or ground. I also learned how to create magnetic field spell withouth going with all that trouble i did earlier. I will apply gravity manipulation on my body to fly and use wind to accelerate maybe I can gain a simplified skill to fly. This world is really awesome my head is throbbing now for all the knowledge I gain on one night. I climbed a big tree and finds a spot to sleep onto, activated invisibility and drifts to my dreams.
